Very busy on a Saturday but well organised and had a great time. Table service is a treat. I kept forgetting to scan my balls. My excuse for getting beat by my Grandchildren 😂

I visited here for the first time ever, and I was very impressed with the service at the first point of contact - at reception, where we made a payment for three of us and then we were given a number in the queue and then we waited a short while while we had ordered something from the bar to eat, and by the time we finished the food, it was our assigned time to play golf. On the way upstairs, we were greeted by Leona, who was smiling and greeted us very nicely and told us the many rules that we had to abide by. She was very helpful and very courteous while delivering this important information and my feedback today - is just as gratitude to her, to thank her for her warm greetings and a smiling face as she welcomed, us to the area where you collect the balls from and advised, us to go upstairs to our assigned bay. I would however recommend one thing despite having had a great experience playing golf and the whole evening was amazing. Could I recommend that Leona be provided with a tall chair, so that she can sit up high, while welcoming the clients, as the poor lady was standing and I don’t even know when her shift started but I can imagine it would be very hard for her stand there for the duration of her whole shift. I did ask for her managers name which she told me was Bailey and I thought I would write this review and provide a constructive suggestion, which I would be very grateful if you could action. Despite this constructive suggestion, I have to say, my overall very first experience was great. So, please, Keep up the good work, you have a great team of people, even the security guards were smiling, helpful and happy and they were definitely not the normal run of the mill, serious looking intimidating security guards. We took my sister to Top Golf for her birthday and it was the best decision! The staff were incredible. They were all polite, kind and so attentive. They offered to bring out cake and sing for the celebrants birthday. One of the staff even stated that she’d only worked there a few days yet she represented the brand like someone who’s worked the years long. Will definitely be back

I was really looking forward to a fun outing at Top Golf Chigwell, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The place was overcrowded and noisy, making it hard to enjoy the games. The equipment was in poor condition—some clubs were broken or damaged, and the balls were worn out. The food and drinks were overpriced and poorly prepared. Our order took forever to arrive, and when it did, it was cold and clearly not fresh. On top of that, the staff seemed completely disorganized and uninterested in helping us, which added to the frustration. For the amount of money you pay, I expected a much higher level of service and quality. Unfortunately, this visit was stressful rather than enjoyable, and I won’t be coming back.

I visited Top Golf Chigwell for my friend’s birthday, and the experience was completely ruined from the start. From the moment we entered, we felt harassed by the staff, who were watching us like we were criminals. They even checked my license as if it might be fake, despite it being completely valid. Once we got to our bay, the staff continued following us around, making the atmosphere incredibly uncomfortable. To make matters worse, they completely messed up our beverage order—putting carbonated water in our cognac shots—which ruined the drinks and our day. Overall, the staff’s attitude and incompetence turned what should have been a fun birthday celebration into a stressful and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this location.

Absolutely awful! Staggeringly rude and disinterested staff. Managers were argumentative. We waited over 100 minutes for poor quality, dry food and were told that our complaint was, 'just like everyone else'! I cannot adequately articulate just how little every single member of staff made us feel for a 3 hour visit that was an hour longer than it should have been and cost me nearly £200. Do not waste your money on this place. It's expensive, poor quality, poorer service and proactively confrontational. Everything is paid up front and they will not refund any monies paid. If you're lucky, you'll get the complimentary offer to come back and be treated poorly on another night! And before they regurgitate their copy and paste reply to this review from the customer (don't)care department encourgaing me to submit my feedback using the email link... I HAVE! Fantastic Experience at Topgolf Chigwell! I recently visited Topgolf Chigwell and had an amazing time from start to finish. The venue is modern, clean, and well-organized, with a great atmosphere that's perfect for both casual outings and special occasions. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.

I’ve just been on the Royal Gunpowder Mills walking tour. What a great experience. The history at Waltham Abbey is fascinating, and was brought to life by the knowledgeable volunteers/guides. We were a small group of 8, so plenty of opportunities to ask as many questions as we liked. The tour allowed access to many of the buildings and structures that you only see from afar on the tractor tour. For anyone with an interest in military history, explosives, or industrial architecture l’d highly recommend this tour. Many thanks to the guides for giving us their time.

Fantastic day at the Gunpowder Mills. Greeted before entry by welcoming volunteers. The site is huge with attractions and information. We made a rocket and launched it which was fun. The tractor was great with a very informative guide. The volunteer who gave us the talk in the rocket vault was exceptionally good. We went on the miniature train and the bigger train where we saw more of the site. There is so much to see and do here. Our visit was four hours and worth every penny of the entrance fee. Looking forward to booking a walking tour when they are organised.

I had been recommended the Royal Gunpowder Mills by a friend, and with the kids now a slightly bit older we decided it would be worth a try. It's only open to visitors a couple of times a month on a Sunday, and on our visit from 11am to 4pm. We got there at 11am as it opened, there is a big sign as you come off the main road, but the site is located at the end of the drive once you have driven past all the housing. Car park is a fair size, and the entrance is located to the right once you have got into the car park. Once you have gone in, it's probably worth getting yourself booked on to the tractor ride. It leaves at specific times. We went straight towards the miniature railway which took us up the site to the gunpowder mill railway. Again, there are some set timings for this, but when we got there we pretty much had the train to ourselves. The railway takes passengers for a ride further up the site, stops and then comes back again. We managed to see the deer as well as bits of the site. The guys running the railway did a fab job at showing us all about the railway, and even let the young 'uns sit in the main cab. The tractor ride was incredibly informative and really gave a good idea of how big the place truly is (massive!) and how much history is here (loads!) Again you get to see the deer, and lots of the old buildings - lots of areas are covered in greenery where nature has taken over. The kids were also given a sheet of things to look out for on the journey. At lunch we popped back to the car to get our picnic and sat at the benches next to the play area (obstacle course / zip line). There is an area where you can get a free tea / coffee - as well as toilets if required. Post lunch, we went to create some rockets and had a little competition to see who's rocket could go the furthest - kids enjoyed this! (Well, the adults did too!) After the rockets, we went to look around the exhibition and armoury. Lots to read here, and kids did do a few little interactive games (mixing the substances at the factory etc.) but they weren't quite so keen to stand and read! The armoury was literally a room full of different guns, rifles etc. When we came out of the exhibition, we just had time to have another trip on the railway. The volunteers were great and radio'd up to ensure we would catch it on time! Once our second trip on the railway was finished it was closing time... we had been there all day! We thought the dedication and hard work by the volunteers was great - we even thought about volunteering ourselves, but it's a bit of a journey away! (Although if they ever do a family volunteering day where the kids can get involved, we would certainly consider it!!)

If you want to learn about the history of gunpowder and explosives, The Royal Gunpowder Mills provides a fascinating day out. In many respects, this is the place where it all started. Our tractor guide was quite knowledgeable and provided interesting insight. The Mills is run completely by volunteers. As the MOD has been involved in siphoning off material, it's too bad the MOD doesn't promote it as the volunteers care dearly and they can use some help.

I visited with my two children and another family, on an open day during the summer holidays. There were varied activities for the kids (rocket making/launching, tie dying, slime making and nature crafts) as well as the train that runs further up along the grounds. It was a really nice day out without the extensive crowds that you often find with children’s activities in the holidays! When booking the tickets I noticed that numbers were capped quite low so I can’t imagine it would ever be uncomfortably busy. Having a mixture of fun activities for children alongside the educational side of the small museum and exhibitions was a good balance. They particularly enjoyed role playing in the village shop with ration books! I would say the open day activities etc are probably most suited for children under 10 (which all of ours were). We also saw some beautiful deer and the children enjoyed the playground as well. Everything was staffed by volunteers (I think) giving up their time to run it. Drinks and snacks in the cafe were very well priced - i bought ice lollies for 5 children for barely more than the price you’d pay for one at an ice cream van!! We brought a packed lunch with us as suggested on the website - I don’t think there is much in the way of food other than snacks available in the cafe. All in all a nice day out, something a bit different and easy to drive to and park.

A great place to learn a little history. With a bonus tractor and train ride.

I took the walking tour today. Absolutely brilliant experience! We started in the cafe with a tea/coffee before heading out in a small group with the volunteers. They really knew so much about the site and were so passionate about its history that it was a real pleasure to listen to. Look out for the wildlife too- we saw lots of deer around!

Jordan was great. Parking easy. Open gendered changing rooms with showers. Also had a mirror and hairdryer which was nice. Lockers were easy to use. Had a group of 9 for the whole raft, unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you see it, one person at the helm doesn’t paddle. This position can rotate between within your group, which might be a good thing, so you can take a break because this was a tiring activity for sure. Great fun though!

This sports venue is truly delightful. It’s such a pleasure to watch the determination of those battling the powerful water and waves, whether in team boats or individual kayaks. I genuinely enjoy the atmosphere here, and I try to visit once or twice a week. The café adds to the charm—coffee on cold days and beer on warm ones. Altogether, it’s an outstanding place with an incredible vibe

Fantastic facility, make time for coffee or food on the terrace because it's lovely. As described on the website, great fun white water rafting. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a thrill!

Fantastic place to practice your open water and white water rafting skills there is an equipment hire area on site so you dont need to bring your own gear, ample parking the largest car park is just 100 yards from the entrance. Staff are super friendly, there is a cafe on site too with inside or outside (on balcony) seating. The road leading to the place is only a normal 30 mph road and it gets busy quickly so try and give yourself plenty of time to get there.

I went white water rafting with 7 mates for a birthday. An excellent experience, we loved it. Ask for Sean as your instructor he made it a 5/5 experience. We did 6 runs on the Olympic course and Sean upped the ante each time. Would highly recommend it!

Lee Valley White Water Centre delivered a brilliant day out. The staff were welcoming and made the whole experience feel easy, even for first-timers. The course has the perfect mix of fun and challenge, and everything is run smoothly from start to finish. I’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone looking for something memorable.

Thoroughly enjoyed talking the self guided tour. The glass floor gives a unique view of the Thames, but can be slightly unnerving. The engine room has the two steam engines, used to power the bascules, on display. Over all, it's very good venue for money.

One of the most important attractions in this wonderful city! Especially, if you visit it at night is way more beautiful! This bridge brings its own unique touch of beauty in London! You have to visit it with no hesitation! 🌉✨

Tower Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in London and visiting it was a fantastic experience. The views from the bridge are stunning, both of the Thames and the city. Taking the Tower Bridge Exhibition tour made the visit even better, as it gave detailed insights into how the bridge was built and the fascinating mechanism behind its operation. Walking across the glass floor was a unique highlight too, giving a completely different perspective of the bridge and the river below. The site is very well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing to keep in mind is that you may need to wait in a queue for entry, and on a sunny day this can feel a bit frustrating. Still, it’s not just a landmark to admire from outside, but also an educational and memorable experience to explore from within. Definitely worth visiting.

Walking near Tower Bridge is honestly one of the nicest things to do in London, especially if you’re trying to escape the busy streets without leaving the city. The view is unreal – you’ve got the bridge itself, which looks straight out of a postcard, the river Thames calmly flowing, and plenty of spots to just sit and chill. There’s something peaceful about hearing the water and watching the boats go by, even when there are tourists around. At sunset, the whole area lights up in warm colours and it feels kinda magical. It’s also surprisingly clean and safe, even in the evening. Loads of nice little cafes and street food stalls around if you fancy a bite, and the walk towards the south bank or down to St Katharine Docks is worth it too. You get a mix of old-school charm and modern city vibes. Would definitely recommend it for a date, a solo unwind walk, or just to take some beautiful photos. 10/10 – calming, scenic, and very London.

The Tower Bridge is a great stop if you're in the nearby area, and provides about 30min to 1 hour diversion. Combined with the free audio tour, great views complete with partial glass floor in one section, historic awe of the building process, and gift shop at the end - I would highly recommend if you're in the area. There are lifts for the tower, but I suggest/recommend you take the stairs getting some insight, facts and touch of history on the way up and down. There are benches to rest, toilets but no Air Con for most of it, however fans throughout provide plenty of relief - 84 degrees and it never felt sweltering inside. Learn how the bridge was designed, constructed and changes over the years - in particular the engine room videos and presentation on divers were really great. And whenever you're done walk along the Thames River path near the wharf and grab a bite to eat.

Good view from the top from a perspective you won't see otherwise. Short video of old footage of London was good. Information boards everywhere to enlighten visitors. On the London Pass so that makes it better value.

Wonderful experience. We travelled to Waterloo by train and hopped on boat to London Bridge for the Tower which was easy and entertaining. The Tower was fascinating, such history. The poppy installation was fantastic. A really good day.....but you need comfy walking shoes!

Great day out. Went on a weekend and not too busy outside of peak season. Crown Jewels clearly the highlight, and didn’t disappoint - displays nicely spaced out, not too much content to overload younger ones and up to date, but there’s also so much more to see. Poppy display was superb, exotic animals, Yeoman tour and White Tower also worth the time, with the latter having interactive area for children. Nice day out and good to take a picnic (though not lots of spaces to sit and eat).

Absolutely awesome place, went when the poppy display was on for the memorial. Got to see everything, crown jewels, the tower of London and other surrounding buildings. Was a brilliant day out. Highly recommended A+++

Enjoyed all the history The Ravens were alot bigger than I imagined. The crown Jewels were amazing and loads of gold pieces of various objects the punch bowl was massive. All the beefeaters were friendly and helpful.

Absolutely a wonderful time. As a tourist from the US, I cannot believe the amount of history in one place. You could spend an entire vacation at this site alone. Seeing highlights from the coronation amd seeing them in real life was fantastic. The displays in the White Tower were worth it alone

The road to the zoo is a bit narrow and winding, and driving with the steering wheel on the opposite side made it even more unusual. This is a truly small family-oriented zoo with an interesting selection of animals. Everything was clean and well maintained, and we enjoyed the visit. I was especially excited to see capybaras and meerkats. Personally, it was also fascinating to observe the visitors — many families with two or more children. The food was decent, but because of the strong wind and too many wasps outside, the experience was mixed. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a day with family.

Visited for my daughter’s birthday and it was great all round. The entire place is very well designed and in good condition. We tried food at a few of the outlets and all were good quality tasting food - not amazing but not the typical greasy nonsense you get. It’s good that you can walk around each area multiple times and in different directions so you really feel like you get the most out of your ticket. Price wise was good, about average and like I said there is plenty to do when inside. All the animals we saw looked happy, no concerns there.

A brilliant zoo, I would say one of the best we have visited. It was busy but we didn't feel it, its nicely spread out so you never feel crowded, it was also very clean and tidy. The staff were fantastic, even when doing something they were happy to answer questions on animals, they were all happy, friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. The animals all seemed happy and healthy with a lovely variety. As with all zoos it would be nice to see them with more space. The food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Nice to have the mix of animals, the dino trail and parks too. It is 3.5hours away from us but worth every minute in the car. Would 100% recommend

Great zoo, loved the red panda experience, keeper was very friendly and informative in answering any questions I had. Loved getting to see the two red pandas being introduced to each other. Got good views of the animals, some of the viewing windows were quite wet with condensation which blocked views but not much to be done about that. Lots of kids so was quite noisy but think I came in the school holidays. Only negative was one of the jaguars was pacing around a lot in its enclosure, hopefully it was just waiting for food or something like that and not stressed. Got Uber easily to/from the train station. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

A really good day out. I went with my sister and my two teenagers and we all thoroughly enjoyed our day. The theming, informative signs, viewing areas/platforms and eateries were very good. Of course the wonderful animals were the highlight and I can recommend attending the bird show! At the end of the day we even had a train ride around the dinosaur area for £2 each, which ended the day nicely.

A family favourite. My son was two when we went and he loved the dinosaurs section even though I was worried he was too young, there are some bits that are slightly gruesomely but you can quickly go past them. It’s good fun and you can then go to the zoo and look at the animals. It’s very well organised and clean. Limited option for food and as with any of these venues, it’s overpriced for the quality you get.

Hertfordshire Zoo is a fantastic family-friendly destination with a great variety of animals and interactive zones. The enclosures are well maintained , highlights include the lions, camels, and alpacas, all easy to view up close. The “World of Animals” and “Tumble Jungle” soft play area add extra fun for kids, with clearly scheduled play sessions. The zoo is clean, well signposted, and offers a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. A perfect day out for families with young children!

As a disabled person my experience was terrible. The entrance is such a long way away from the disabled parking. It was much better before the refurb. No wheelchairs or small trolleys to be had near carpark. The walk is much too far for a disabled or elderly person. You have to walk for ages to get to the cafe and then you have to walk back into the shop past the tills and back outside to the long walk back. I used a walker but it was too much for me and kind staff members got me a wheelchair to get me back to the car park. I can never go back. It used to be so nice going there but now definitely NOT. Please think of your disabled and elderly customers. I’m still waiting for a response to my email from their main office. A very poor service.

Visited today for lunch with my son and husband. Loads of free parking, which is shared with the discovery land area. Garden centre was small with a large cafe that had indoor and outdoor seating. I had a jacket which was nice and my husband a sandwich. Nothing amazing but fine. Came with a side salad that was sadly smothered in olive oil. They do a kids' menu of hot food and a sandwich type lunch box. There was a play area outside the cafe with seats, which was nice. There was works going on, but once finished, I'm sure it would be lovely. We had a nice lunch, quick play, and then headed onto Priory Park in Reigate to feed the ducks, play football, and play in the park.

Priory Farm Garden Centre and Cafe is a lovely, family-friendly spot with great cakes, a super setting, and a well-stocked garden shop—though it can get busy at peak times.

Stopped here before entering Discovery Land. There are a lot of parking spaces here so shouldn't be an issue finding a space. The cafe was quite busy but still had tables available when we visited at the weekend. There was only one till so there was a bit of queue to order, but otherwise the service was good. The coffee cake was excellent (even called for second portions) and the coffee itself was good. The breakfasts looked ok too. The garden centre isn't too large and had some interesting and unusual items. But if I went back, it would have to be for the cake.

Went into Farm restaurant to order some food. Very limited menu and expensive. This is why I gave it 3 star. The farm itself is set in beautiful grounds and is wonderful for children. Lots of activities on Discovery Walk. We didn't pre book but the lady in the barn kindly admitted us as there were a couple of spaces left. Parking was busy as was half term but we managed to get a spot eventually. Bought some nice food and drink in shop which is a little different to supermarket. Friendly and efficient ladies at pay desks.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing experience! The London Eye offers some of the best views in the city—360° panoramas of the Thames, Big Ben, and the skyline. The ride is smooth and lasts long enough to really enjoy the scenery. Queues can get a bit long during peak hours, but they move quickly and are well-organized. Staff were friendly and the capsules were clean and comfortable. Definitely worth it, especially around sunset!

I’ve been wanting to take the kids on The London Eye for a while but I’m glad I waited until they were older otherwise I think they would have got bored after a while! We came during the summer holidays so the weather was nice and the views were beautiful. I pre booked for the best ticket prices and to take advantage of the £20 per adult and £18 per child special offers. We enjoyed it and the kids were able to spot famous buildings which was fun 😁 The only let down was that there were alot of us in our cabin as we were grouped up with a large family with limited seating so after a while of standing i had to sit on the poles due to issues with my knee and the kids sat on the floor. It was a busy day and I think the staff filled the cubicle to capacity This is something to bear in mind for those that may have ailments or disabilities where they need to sit down. Other than that it is worth the visit, we didn’t wait long in the queue and they also take pictures and give you a card with a QR code which can be scanned so you can purchase the pictures after your ride which is nice 😊

The London Eye is an interesting experience that I was glad that I went on, but I am not sure if I would recommend. It offers great views of the city but I understand that The Shard and Sky Garden also can do this. Heck, the coffee shop at Tate Modern also has great views and it is free to go up. We had booked a time and were waiting for our slot, when we arrived 15 minutes early to join an extremely long queue. I was very surprised how quickly the line went and we actually boarded the ride at our allocated time. I suspect if we arrived early (within reason), we could have got on sooner rather than waiting around. Getting on and off was easy, even though the ride didn't stop. The entire trip lasted about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. Obviously the views were great, but I `think that I would have spent less time if I had gone up the Shard or Sky Garden, as the ride seemed to trudge along. The are definitely opportunities to get discounted tickets: book online or in the visitor centre or with the London Pass. Since the line went quick, I wouldn't pay extra for a fast path.

Absolutely love London. And Big Ben is a must see / visit. It has been beautifully restored and looks grand as it should. Right next to the houses of Parliament and across from Westminster Abbey just down the road from Buckingham Palace. And then there is number 10. Definitely make time to go to this iconic land Mark.

I’m not the biggest fan of London, but Big Ben was absolutely beautiful. The architecture is stunning, and the city around it feels so classic and elegant. It was really cool getting off the Westminster stop on the Tube and walking straight up to see Big Ben towering above it’s such an iconic sight. Even if London isn’t your favorite city, this landmark will definitely impress you.

We didn't get to do the tour but coming off the tube and Big Ben being right there outside the station was pretty awesome. Its even bigger in person than I thought it would be. Really good angles from the station and out on the bridge.

Visited Big Ben while in London. Did you know its official name is the Elizabeth Tower, renamed in 2012 in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee — but everyone still calls it Big Ben. The site was impressive, with plenty of onlookers taking in the views. We spent about 30 minutes exploring and enjoying the surroundings. Fun fact: the minute hand is roughly the same length as a single-decker bus! Overall, it’s worth a quick stop and was one of the highlights of our trip. Saluti

However, it’s a bit disappointing to see that some areas around it could be better maintained and cared for. Such an iconic site deserves more attention and preservation to keep its beauty shining for future generations. Despite that, Big Ben remains a must-see attraction and one of the most remarkable places to visit in London.

Usually we had an outside perspective of the Houses of Parliament, but this time we went inside for a charity event. What a stunning structure. It's unfortunate that taking pictures is prohibited throughout, but there are plenty of sights to see and spots to sit and enjoy the show. The sculptures of former prime ministers were appealing to me. The rigorous entry security was well-planned. We had a great day and will definitely suggest it to others.

This iconic architectural gem is the symbol of London and worth multiple visits to enjoy its details. My favorite time is around 6:00 am in the summer when you basically have Westminster bridge to yourself to watch the rising sun strike the building and reflect its image on the water of the Thames River. A recent restoration of Big Ben makes it shine, particularly when the sun hits the golden design elements. What a wonderful home for Great Britain’s democracy. Just beautiful!

Audio tour is great, especially if you listen to all the extra commentary. Pictures allowed in the Banqueting Hall and at the beginning/end of the tour. However, no pictures are allowed in any of the Parliament rooms or corridors.

Often viewed the Houses of Parliament from outside but this time we went inside. What a beautiful building. Pity it's not allowed to take photos throughout but lots to see and places to sit to take in the spectacle. I liked the statues of former prime ministers. The least impressive area was the House of Commons but glad to have seen it as it's so often on the news! I was impressed by the cafe as the prices were fair, on a par if not less than a service station so for central London this was good. The strict security for entry was well organised and as I walk with a stick I was offered fast track, so no waiting in the queue for 15 minutes. Very grateful for that. Toilets adequate and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will recommend to others.

Really interesting place to visit. Airport security on the way in, then you collect your audio guide, which are headphones and mobile phone-type device which shows pictures and allows you to control volume etc. You then wander off, guided around the palace by the audio guide. There are three different duration tours to chose from. You can also have a tour guide. Booking is worthwhile to avoid disappointment. At the end of the tour there's a pricey gift shop, cafe and toilets.

My Visit to Westminster and Westminster Abbey, London My visit to Westminster and Westminster Abbey was one of the most memorable parts of my London trip. Breathtaking Abbey! So many beautiful monuments. The architecture is marvelous. So much to look at you could definitely spend the whole day. Friendly,helpful and knowledgeable staff. It is a working church so depending on when you go you might see a daily prayer or two. Gentlemen remember is respectful to remove your hat. It's a must see!

(visited on 12 May 2025) this is That One Church England uses for all a lot of the royal events we see as tourists on the television, so naturally with our luck we missed the royal victory ceremony on the 8th and then got ceremoniously chased out on the day we visited for a diplomatic event. between that and missing the changing of the guard on the same day we should’ve bought a lottery ticket to the West End. anyway. what we gleaned of the short time we had there was the massive size of the church. large church with loads of tombs, monuments and graves for notable figures in English and European history including Queen Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots were all laid there. Monuments to Darwin, Shakespeare and the Bronte Sisters were also scattered on the floor and in the Poets’ Corner. the free audio guides offered were super helpful with offering context for a lot of the abbey’s sprawling tombs and areas. we sped run this with the audio guide because 😀 diplomatic event, but still had time to appreciate the architecture and grandeur, especially of the nave and coronation area. stained glass was gorgeous too. note that you’re not supposed to take videos in here. staff were still nice when we asked them about why we were being so nicely shoved out of the church we paid full price for, but WE FELT THAT COULDVE BEEN SAID EARLIER? as previously clarified this took place in May so—might’ve been a one off thing. lastly. the gift store is HIGHLY entertaining do visit

Beautiful building with a lot to see inside especially for history enthusiasts. I would recommend booking in advance which will give you a time slot for entry. We still had to wait despite having the designated time so be prepared (we waited about 45 mins). It's worth it though to see everything. I also found the audio guide helpful for filling in context on everything. The optional upper floors are worth it too as they have great views looking down as well as some fascinating antiques.

No visit to London is complete without seeing Westminster Abbey. This magnificent Anglican church has hosted every British coronation for nearly 1,000 years and serves as the resting place of monarchs, writers, scientists, and national heroes. It’s also been the setting for many royal weddings and state funerals. A true World Heritage Site! Book tickets in advance and allow plenty of time to take it all in. Highly recommended!!

I visited Westminster Abbey for the first time at age 50, coinciding with the 44th Independence Service for Antigua and Barbuda. Despite a cold, rainy English day, stepping inside was incredible. The detail throughout the Abbey is breathtaking, and it was impeccably clean. The staff—ushers and clergy—were professional, respectful, and welcoming, always guiding visitors with a smile. One of the clergy even cracked a few jokes, showing their sense of humour and humanity. Westminster Abbey is a beautiful, top-notch cathedral in London. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

The Abbey is an amazing place to visit, however the ticket is expensive for a live church. We booked a tour guide with church verger for a tenner which was a great tour and Kat provided lots of interesting info about the abbey. We also visited the Queen’s diamond gallery, accessible through Weston Tower. O stall we had a great time.

What a place to visit. The world meets in London and I hope it continues that way. Everything is well organized, spaced and placed. It’s my second time in there and am keen to go back more times. This is not a one day visit you need few times to cover the whole Musuem. Recommend to come with comfortable shoes

Went on a Thursday in half term time, it was incredibly busy, loads of children! It was still a nice experience for my kids, they loved it. You need a couple of days to visit the whole museum, especially if you are looking to study anything in particular. Limited choices on thw food in the food court area and expect London prices but there is also a high end restaurant at the top. Own food and drinks are permitted only in the designated area. We will definitely come again to see and study other areas.

A Must-see Museum! You can literally feel the history of the world here. It’s free to visit; however, when you think about all the pieces taken away from their motherlands, it does feel a bit bittersweet. :) Make sure to book your tickets in advance — it gets busy! The British Museum is truly timeless. It was my fourth visit, yet it still felt magical. My kids loved the Egyptian mummies — their excitement was contagious! As a Chinese visitor, I felt proud yet emotional seeing so many treasures from my homeland. The collections are stunning, though the crowds can be intense. Entry is free, but booking online helps you get in faster. This museum isn’t just about history — it’s about humanity, memory, and reflection. A must-visit for anyone coming to London.

Visiting The National Gallery was truly a magical experience. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the atmosphere and every room tells a different story through its paintings. The layout makes it easy to explore, and the colors, details, and emotions in each artwork are breathtaking. It’s not just a museum but it’s a journey through art and history that leaves you inspired and full of wonder.

It was a wonderful experience. The museum has a good collection of Monet and Van Gogh paintings, which I really enjoyed. For just an afternoon, it’s possible to see everything without getting too tired, though you could easily spend a whole day if you want to study the works in detail. We visited on November 17, and there was also a Christmas market outside the museum, which added a very festive atmosphere.

A very spacious series of galleries housing some of the best known images in the international art world. With a restaurant and toilets and plenty of friendly guides you can easily spend a day here, or just pop in and revisit your favourites. It may look daunting from the outside but the new entrance makes the whole place accessible for anyone. Children of any age will find something to look at and many school trips visit and no they don't disturb the 'grown ups'! A teashop, restaurant, bookshop and well stocked shop make this a day, or two to remember.

I can say that I love this museum. Seeing such a collection of paintings for free is just amazing nowadays. There are beautiful paintings in every room. I could spend a day to visit it. Just do not forged taking a map at the entrance as this is a pretty large museum. French, Spanish, Italian, English, Deutsche… painters from middle age to impressionists. A pretty large collection of Impressionists paintings that can rival with that of Musée d’Orsay in France. Only the Louvre in France is more impressive (but far from being free) among all painting museums that I visited all other the world (with a special notice for Grenoble and Poitier’s painting museum that are great place to visit too).

The National Gallery, a one place to see history through paintings. As usual this gallery is free for entery and quite big so plan ahead. You can book free online ticket or walkin. Tube connectivity is there. Plan to enjoy and take photos from outside squar also. There is a paid washroom available outside. You get chance to see a lot of historical paintings and know about the artist. Due to limited time I was not able to complete it. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water if possible.

I visited the National Gallery today and absolutely loved it. It’s an absolute must visit place when in London, and you can spend hours wandering from room to room, never running out of things to look at. One of the highlights for me was seeing some of Monet’s pieces in person, a moment I’ve been looking forward to for so long. Standing in front of his work felt surreal, and it was worth the entire trip on its own. I highly recommend paying the galley a visit, especially because it’s free entry!

If you’re in London, you must visit this place. I stopped by during an 8 hour layover, and even though I couldn’t take my time the way I wanted to, it was absolutely worth it. The collection is stunning, wall after wall of masterpieces you could spend hours admiring. I barely scratched the surface and already felt amazed. I’ll definitely be coming back on a proper trip so I can truly enjoy and appreciate everything this museum has to offer.

Could very well be the most impressive museum I've visited. Each of the exhibits is extremely well done, with exactly the right amount of information to read in a timely manner and continue moving on to the next. It's a small space, so if it is a crowded day, and you want to see everything, expect to spend 4-5 hours. The time went by so fast because everything is so engrossing, we didn't even realize we had been there for so long! The interactive exhibits are fascinating and seeing things left just as they were when the war was over and the Rooms closed was surreal. There's definitely a presence to be felt there, especially as you listen to the stories of those who lived through it via the many videos. For any history buff, this is an experience you must do whilst in London. Thoroughly, utterly impressed.

Had a great time visiting the Museum, there’s plenty to see and plenty to learn about, I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Winston Churchill in particular I enjoyed the story of him escaping prison in South Africa. Myself and Mrs enjoyed a nice it drink in the cafe which was priced fairly and was a warm environment. Only downside to the visit was the amount of people in certain parts of the museum there’s hallways and we had to walk at a snails pace to get through haha. But no fault to the museum itself, I’d advise going at less busy times, we came on Remembrance Sunday at 14:30.

I visited this place on my recent trip to London from NYC. This is obviously a very well-put together exhibit. You gotta admire the British attention to detail there. The audio guide (in the form of a tablet that you take with you on the tour) was helpful, and you get to explore at your own pace. There's a dedicated Churchill museum at this place. The gift shop has a good selection of books. The tour was a bit crowded for my taste (reason for the one less star) since the place is generally very popular but definitely worth a visit if you like British history during WWII (or if you like Churchill!)

I've been visiting Tilgate Park for many years and always have an enjoyable walk, whatever the weather. The walled garden is well kept and always worth a visit. Bought a cake from the cafe to takeaway which was yummy and homemade; although it's not always open so best to check before visiting/ relying on it being open for lunch/ snacks. There are features to see around the park and there are activities if you want to do them. Generally a lovely place to explore

My family and I had a wonderful experience with dinosaurs in the park, and my children love it! Their playground was a nice to play and lovely view of Tilgate Park. Stall foods were there and ride as well. It is good and fun for the May half term bank holiday weekend. 🦕☀️😍

For every age groups there this park has a place for them . Whether you enjoy a dog walk or sit and view birds or ducks on the lake or play with kids . Cafe shops are good .

Massive grounds with something for everybody; lakeside and woodland walks, a zoo, children's play atea and a couple of cafes - we visited the walled garden cafe. The grounds are dog-friendly and there is plenty of space for families and picnics.

We stayed with family and they took us to this park. Beautiful park to visit and see. They had a dinosaur theme and fair, great for the kids. Definitely worth it if you’re in that area.

Gorgeous open spaces. Their playground is huge. Boats to go on the lake are severely over priced so avoided those. Lovely day out.

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield. The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better. As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

As a visitor, you can’t ask for a better system to get about to major museums, etc. You get to ride with both the working class and executives alike. Iconic London ! Takes a little getting used to, if you need to travel in the City, it’s the way to go. As a visitor, we purchased a Visitor Oyster Card online, it’s a fantastic deal. Recommended.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

These shops are all closed for good. I could rattle on about the good old days, (people actually pay to hear about it) and a book would be better; it would take a book, pdf, file, whatever to explain how much it has changed. Point? Many but the main one is: Thanks to Bid Rigging the same people keep getting rich fulfilling contracts that do nothing but cosmetic change. I'd rather see the old retailers (driven out by sky high rent, business taxes, business rates that the the big corporate retailers. Btw/ if you come to London be prepared to lug your suitcase up and down many flights of stairs. Of course the bureaucracy will point to "no step access" (only lawsuits by disabled brought that in) and there are more lifts (elevators), yes this is better than nothing - - lucky find one lift 20 years ago. The old, dirty, extremely noisy rolling stock in Central London is the same. Recently you could still find "MetroCamell" 1973. John Lennon probably on one. Sure, they Spent £16 Billion over budget and late) on a new Elizabeth Line. It's a nice reflection on what we have - - tourists are in central London for the sights, not off to Abby Wood (the other one) and to have them riding the clittering, clanking, clattering collection of caligenous junk - - (think Wizard of Oz to the Tin Man) is a disgrace.

Coming from Manchester we need this in the city.... Yes its a bit dim, dark and dirty.... But what a brilliant, cheap and quick way to get around....

St. James’s Park is absolutely beautiful! The views of Buckingham Palace and the lake are stunning. It’s such a peaceful place to walk, relax, and take pictures. We saw lots of ducks, swans, and even some friendly squirrels. There are plenty of benches and a little café for coffee or snacks. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature right in the heart of London.

Beautiful grounds to explore, plenty of places to grab a hot drink and food. So many birds and wildlife to see. Always a pleasure to visit here. One of my favourite places in London.

Lovely walks around the lake, and the gardens were full of autumn colour. It gets very busy though, especially at weekends, with all the tourists. There's toilets near the entrance from Horseguards parade and a couple of coffee stands. The squirrels seem quite tame and will come up close asking for food!

On a clear blue sky Sunday afternoon in October, the lake was stunningly blue with a near perfect reflection 💯in places.

Serene and beautiful park with so many different birds and even squirrels. A really nice place to chill and have your lunch, but beware, the animals there arent very scared of humans! The ducks may come and ask for a bite.

A masterclass in urban tranquility, St Jame's Park is nestled between iconic landmarks, and it offers a lush, immersive landscape that feels worlds away from the city’s bustle. I adored the lake, with its elegant pelicans and swans, and mirrored reflections. If time permitted, I could sit and watch them the whole day! Another lovely sight was the distant silhouette of the London Eye amidst the lush greenery. The park’s layout invited slow wandering: deck chairs scattered across sunlit lawns, winding paths shaded by trees and quiet corners where wildflowers bloom. The park is simply a place where nature, history and city life converge with grace.

Interesting to be and see inside this storied place. The State Rooms are interesting and the chance to see the royal art collection is a real treat. I also enjoyed the special exhibition of art produced on the King Charles’s travel over the years as well as the throne room. It’s crowded but manageable. I also visited the mews with the carriages and would recommend. My disappointment was the limited access to the garden. The website lists the Royal Gardens as one of the highlights and includes pictures of the rose garden and other select spots. Once on-site I learned that much of the garden, including the roses I hoped to see, is off-limits unless you book a special tour, which were all booked. This is not made clear on the website when booking. Also note that the amount of time they indicate for the palace tour is far too long unless you’re planning to eat in the cafe and do a lot of shopping in the gift shop. I listened to the entire tour and spent time in all of the rooms and it took me 45 minutes or so—they indicate 2 to 2.5 hours. This can be an issue if you are booking multiple timed elements at the palace or tickets elsewhere.

Tickets are not necessary for the changing of the guard. But I recommend standing on the fountain if you cannot get near the fence. You will need tickets for the States room tour. It's well worth with it.

Highly recommend the palace tour as the palace is quite stunning on the inside. Do buy the tickets in advance and show up right in time for your entry because there’s no wait then! The gift shop also has some quality souvenirs so I highly recommend it. Also, the palace gardens were my favourite gardens in London ✨✨✨✨

The palace is absolutely beautiful inside, but no photography. We really enjoyed our visit there. It's is a good bit of walking around but benches to rest on. There is a 20 minutes walk one you get outside to get back out to the main street but once again plenty of benches to rest.

Visited during the changing of the guard I really didn’t know what I was in for. The crowds and fences were ridiculous and the event was not that impressive to me. I could’ve skipped it and been fine. Because of the event I really didn’t get to see the palace exterior and gates very well due to large crowds and barricades. Unless the changing of the guard is a bucket list thing you really want to see I would recommend not going during that event if you’re wanting to get a good view of the palace.

Strolling by Buckingham Palace with a friend in the afternoon was unforgettable. A lively crowd gathered out front, and to our surprise, the King himself exited! The grand palace looked stunning in the sunlight, and the nearby fountain added to the royal charm. Truly a special moment! If you are in the vicinity give it a go.

The gardens are always lovely and such a pleasure to walk in at any time of year. The house was interesting with rooms open to see and lots of exhibits with information about the last owners and guests who had visited. The volunteer staff were knowledgeable and welcoming. A lovely day out.

It's a very beautiful garden and a small house. There's often exhibitions in the house but on this occasion's visit they were getting ready for Christmas. We've been several times before so this time we did a garden tour at 11 am. That made us slow down and notice details, which was really lovely. I thoroughly recommend Nymans. It's beautiful.

Beautiful National Trust house and gardens. The trails are all pushchair/wheelchair friendly and there is so much to do and see. The wildflower garden is amazing and the café and facilities are all very good. I recommend going early as the car park filled up quickly.

Beautiful walk we took the orange route which took 2 hours with the 7 year old in toe but was an easy stroll . All dog owners were respectable and put their dogs on leads before crossing our path. My cane corso is very anxious and still in training it was a very stress free walk . Parking was free and plenty to see . I let my boy take the photos . So this what was seen by a 7 year old

Easy parking, great buggy tour with history talk for those in our party less able to walk. Beautiful gardens, romantic, wild feel to it all. Went for a walk in the woods down to a lake, just remember to take the code from reception so you can get through the gate and back into Nymans

A recent first for us to visit Nymans, and we've been twice in as many weeks..! Fantastic grounds, gardens, and the house too is a spectacular place, in it's semi-ruined state... Autumn also added to the feast of colour for the eyes as well... Will return again, that's for sure... 👍👍👍

lovely garden to wander around. all the NT staff was lovely. went on the free guided walk and learnt a lot. the two cafés are quite busy but remain cozy and the food is delicious. loved the shop as well with a wonderful selection of trinkets, festive souvenirs and national trust items.

Lovely breakfast here. Quality of food was fantastic and the kind staff even offered us a birthday drink! The food is more on the expensive side but this wasn't too much of an issue when the quality is so high We went and there were only about 5 tables in use and 4 staff on shift. Unfortunately due to it not being busy the staff were very relaxed and chatting/laughing most the time front of house which isnt an issue but we had to wait a long time for service and plates were not cleared before we had to eventually get up to go pay the bill. This was a little disappointing but wouldn't stop us returning again for a delicious breakfast in beautiful surroundings. 😀

This was the best wine tour I’ve been on so far. Most tours are interesting but our guide, William, just had a breadth of knowledge and dry sense of humour that elevated this one to the top. The equipment Bolney use is also very professional compared to some of the rustic small French vineyards. The use of local cheese, chocolate and salami during the tasting was different. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited here for Sunday lunch with friends on a lovely day in June. The restaurant, on the first floor above the shop and cafe, is light & airy, with both indoor and balcony tables. Great views overlooking the vines. The food quality was excellent, as were the wines. We particularly enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Noir. All of the staff are really friendly, efficient and hard working. Highly recommended.

We have just had the most amazing wine tasting tour at Bolney Wine Estate. The wines were fabulous and our tour guide very knowledgeable and so enthusiastic. The food pairings were done with local cheeses utterly delicious and the meze sharing platters were super. The whole afternoon could not be faulted in any way. Thankyou.

Absolutely brilliant! We've been on a lot of Italian wine tours but no U.K. ones until yesterday (06/07/25). From the start it was so well put together, taste some wine, have a tour of the vineyard, some more wine and some food. The guide was exceptional with his knowledge, informative and very friendly. We started off with a glass of wine and some info on the set up and running of the vineyard, then a walk around the vines with details of their growth etc. Into the storage facility and a talk on the wine making process. Back to the main building for some more wine with tastings of different food and how they affect the taste. Finished off with a large plate of meat/cheeses etc. From start to finish it was very enjoyable and the other people doing the tour were friendly as well so we all had a good time. 10/10. It's so good to see an English company doing well.

One of a few vineyards in the area we hadn’t visited but stopped off on way home . So glad we did. Great venue lovely staff dogs welcome even inside at the cafe. Great wine and topped of with a great piece of cake. What more can I say. Perfect place

Excellent experience all round. We did the 1pm 3 hour tour tasting with a sharing platter lunch. The tour guide was brilliant- really informative and interesting with a perfectly pitched sense of humour . We started off with a glass of sparkling as we learnt the history of English wine making/ Bolney. So fascinating to walk through the vineyards and visit the winery - to really start to understand the wine making process from vine growing to bottling. This was followed by tasting of wine. Finished off with a really tasty sharing board of meat cheese n bits! Absolute recommend this tour - don’t hesitate to book!

Had a good time with family, spent around 2hrs at the venue.kudos to the entire team for excellent crowd control. Around 80% of the wax statue look stunning and fantastic, rest felt like a dummy one. The special attraction was "Spirit of London" ride, which is a themed taxi ride through the city's history, and not a conventional train ride. The ride uses iconic black cabs to take visitors on a 5-minute journey through London's history and cultural events which also includes wax figures, immersive exhibits, and a 4D cinema.

Had a great time! There’s quite a collection to explore, with some truly fascinating stories, science section and even a few spooky horror rooms. The organisation and presentation were excellent, and the cable ride through centuries of history was absolutely epic! I didn’t see many staff around, but I didn’t really need any help. Overall, I had an amazing time and would highly recommend it!

I had an amazing experience at the Madame Tuassads London. I have already been to other places but this one was different. In addition to various wax statues there was a ride which was very beautiful. Also there was 3D show which was star of the whole lot. Would highly recommend even if you have visited other wax museums. Its clean and wait time is not much.

Madame Tussauds was such a fun experience! The wax figures look unbelievably real ,it’s like walking through a celebrity world. The Marvel and Royal Family sections were my favourites. It does get busy, but totally worth it for the photos and the atmosphere.

I was a bit hesitant about going here, if it's really worth the money... And it is! We enjoyed this interactive experience very much! It's fun and I very much appreciated it is not just the wax figures (which are impressive by themselves), but I was excited about the Marvel 3D experience, the little "taxi" drive through the history of London or the scary horror cellar :) What was dissapointing was the price of the photos they take for you (25 pounds?!). But otherwise perfect way to spend a memorable afternoon (at least 3 hours recommended!), totally recommended. PS: pleasant surprise at the end of our visit was the London Eye tickets for 10£ offer.

I recently visited the V&A with a friend to see the Cartier Exhibition. It was great, even though it was a bit crowded, which meant no hanging about. However, there were opportunities to return to an exhibit if you wished. I visited on a lovely autumn afternoon and the colourful trees outside added to my enjoyment. There's also a beautiful cafe for a wide selection of food and drinks. It's one of my favourite museums to visit as they put on great exhibitions on a wide variety of subjects. I recommend it highly as a wonderful place to visit anytime.

If you’re anywhere near South Kensington, the Victoria & Albert Museum is one of those places you absolutely must pop into. As someone who’s lived in England for years, I can honestly say the V&A never gets old. What surprised me the most on my recent visit was just how incredible the ceramics collection is. If you’re even slightly into pottery, porcelain, glazes, or anything to do with craft and kiln work, you’ll be blown away. There are shelves and walls filled—and I mean filled—with pieces from all over the world, from tiny delicate bowls to massive vases taller than a child. You could easily spend half a day in the ceramics section alone. And it’s not just ceramics. The museum has an impressive range of sculptures as well—scrubbs, marble carvings, classical statues, and pieces that make you wonder how on earth someone carved something so smooth out of stone. You walk through a hall and suddenly you’re surrounded by history in 360 degrees. The jewellery gallery is another highlight. It’s not just “oh that’s pretty”—it’s genuinely fascinating. My visit to the Victoria & Albert Museum was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. As I entered the galleries connected to Punjab and Sikh history, I felt a deep emotional connection. The artifacts linked to Maharaja Ranjit Singh—his weapons, jewelry, and artistic treasures—were beautifully preserved and displayed with great respect. Seeing them filled me with immense pride for my heritage. The staff at the museum were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Each section was well-explained and thoughtfully organised. For anyone interested in Punjab, Sikh history, or Indian heritage, the V&A Museum is truly a treasure. I highly recommend this museum to every traveller visiting London. It’s not just a museum—it’s a place where you feel connected to your roots.

Such an Amazing Museum. Amazing exhibitions and gallery and displays to view your mind. Make sure to have 4 hours spare to take in all the displays. World class. Take well organised. Great food in the cafe at a reasonable price. Make sure to dine in the Victorian cafe.

A Truly Remarkable Day! I simply can't recommend the membership strongly enough! My visit to the Marie Antoinette exhibition today was truly remarkable. Not only was the collection breathtaking, but the staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the day. My daughter and I wore period-style Marie Antoinette costumes, and it was lovely to feel welcomed and celebrated. Every single person we encountered was charming and pleasant. What a fantastic museum experience!

Free to enter for their main exhibits, except for special exhibitions. But there's plenty to see and explore in the different courts, organised by theme, geographical area and time period. Wheelchair accessible Look out for the giant statue of David in the Cast Courts, as well as the rather large pillar of Trajan. Also, the collection of sculptures donated by Auguste Rodin. If you like Jewellery, head up to 2F.

You can book a time slot ticket for free online before hand. This ensures you dont have to queue if it gets too busy. Truly a must visit Museum in London. There are so many different exhibitions that you can easily spend 3 hours here. Of course the main attraction is the Blue whale skeleton, called hope. It weighs 4.5tonnes and measures 25.2m long. This is a real blue whale skeleton and not a model! Can you imagine! There is a dinosaur exhibition and for your info, most of the bones on display are actual dinosaur bones! If you see its dated, then its real dinosaur bones. Other than that there are other paid exhibitions available throughout the museum.

The museum is well-maintained and full of interesting collections. Natural History Museum in London and was truly impressed. The building itself is stunning with its grand architecture and detailed interior. The dinosaur and gemstone exhibits were fascinating and well-organized. I especially enjoyed the interactive sections that make learning fun for both kids and adults. Spending few hours here may not enough. I recommend booking paid tickets for elderly visitors.

Always love going to museums where ever I go to take in the local perspective. It is free entry with donation recommended, which is easy once you see what this place has to offer. This would have been one of the larger sites I have visited in my travels. It has a large variety of collections spanning several floors. I really enjoyed most of the galleries I saw, with their interactive displays that complement the static representations. We literally spent all afternoon their until close and still didn't get a chance to see the whole building. Missing out on the Darwin, and some of the green sector. From what we did see the rest of the place would be just as amazing. Since it's free entry it can definitely be a 2 day walk about. The place is large and requires a bit of sauntering. There are lots of benches and presentations that you can sit while you watch. Which is nice for those who have mobility challenges. Overall, a great visit but if you really like to hit every inch, it's a whole day visit so keep that in mind.

Well kept clean and spacious. Wheel chair acess though out and entering with no steps . Its extremely hot inside even in November. Could do with air conditioning. Lots of history with lots of animals. Great for kids all ages and adults. Toilets and disabled toilets on site with a cafe which is rather expensive so I would recommend brining yours own lunch in if you are a family. 2 coffees and a cookie was approximately £15 . Over all a great experience and very educational. If you home educate your children its worth a day trip in to London to visit the museum. Hot peanuts with honey out side are delicious 😋 pre book tickets for free on line to avoid quing. Pre booked Tickets walk straight in and que jump !

Today, I took a group of elderly visitors with dementia to the London History Museum. Our group varied in mobility — some were able to walk independently, one used a walker, and two were in wheelchairs. We had a brilliant time exploring the different rooms, and the earthquake experience was truly amazing and impactful for everyone. The museum was quite busy with several school groups, which did raise some concerns. One of my members was bumped into twice by a school group, causing them to become unsteady on their feet. While the school group was apologetic, the situation was a little disappointing. The only drawbacks were that the toilets are quite spread out across the museum, and the lifts were sometimes difficult to use due to limited capacity and unclear floor labels. Despite this, we managed to navigate successfully. It was nice to see seating areas scattered around the rooms, providing opportunities for rest. Booking disability parking was straightforward and very helpful, with friendly staff assisting us both on arrival and when we left. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I’d love to return with my family next time for a more flexible visit

For a free entry this museum was absolutely incredible. A very wide variety of exhibits from a multitude of scientific fields. Definitely take your time and explore the entire building. Enjoyed looking at all the different animal exhibits. The dinosaur section of the museum was very fascinating to go through 🦖. I also enjoyed the geological sections. It really does seem that the museum is promoting education at no price! 👨‍🔬 A must visit if you're in the area.

Great event - shame was spoiled by the weather but thats the UK for you. Thats the 3rd and final big event I've been to this year Cheltenham and aintree being the other 2. The difference being on the hill is free entry that nobody knows about

A day of thrilling races at Epsom Racecourse, followed by a peaceful escape into the breathtaking beauty of Langley Vale Wood's 641 acres of diverse trees and plants. A perfect blend of adrenaline and tranquility.

Another great days racing at Epsom Downs, Derby day always a great meeting and some fantastic winners. Tickets purchased well In advance but for some reason not posted out, we had to collect on arrival which is never great when you have a disabled member in the party. We booked the Views restaurant, plenty of space and great service from the waitresses, drinks flowing all day. Food was interesting, sampler menu and then lamb main course, unfortunately the main wasn’t hot, warm at best, afternoon tea was plentiful and the cakes full of flavours.

Having grown up here, it has long held a significant space in my heart. It is honestly such a beautiful and peaceful place outside of race weekends... often with people exercising their horse along the gallops. Perfect spot for a walk, a picnic, or even just having some time to think.

The perfect location to view and savour the setting 🌅sun all year round, whilst enjoying 😊 the panoramic views of the North Downs along with increasing the ‘step tally’ on the iPhone Health App! lol. This is indeed a treasured location and 1️⃣ to be enjoyed, especially 1️⃣0️⃣ to 1️⃣5️⃣ minutes leading up to sunset 🌅

What a wonderful place this is your visit, especially if you're a history lover or architecture enthusiast! I absolutely adored the rambling Gardens with a choice of different length walks, the cafe was very relaxed with a range of food and drinks but the highlight for me was the incredible tour of the old Elizabethan building by very knowledgeable and friendly Dermot! What a pleasure it was to enjoy such an in depth and interesting talk by such an experienced gentleman. We would definitely visit again!!

Visited the gardens only. Some of the most beautifully curated public gardens in SE England. Very lucky to be able to visit the East Garden which is only open to the public on certain Wednesdays. Some nice woodland walks as well although I would have to say that these aren't fantastically signposted.

It was very lovely place to visit. Free parking and only short walk to the house and gardens. Very brilliant, smiley and pleasant people work there, it was not a problem for them to help us use the lift a few times,so thank you.! It makes the visit so much easier and nicer. It's not easy to get around everywhere if you have a buggy or especially the walker.. Very recommend this place to visit!

What a gorgeous hidden gem just north of London crammed full of history. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides in each room. Check out their website as they put on ‘festival’ type events. The grounds are well kept. Only downside for me was you have to pay extra to go into the palace (£8 I believe). The ‘marmite’ fountain at the back of the house is interesting. I loved it. I will definitely be back.

I don't even know where to start to describe this fantastic place! We spent about five hours there and loved every single minute of it. There is just so much to see! We first visited the Gardens, which are stunning. Then we spontaneously opted for a guided tour of the Old Palace, which absolutely blew us away. I must admit that when we had decided to visit Hatfield House, we weren't even aware of the Old Palace and its significant history, so it felt like an extra bonus. Our guide was not only very knowledgeable, but also extremely engaging - a pure joy to listen to and get lost in the stories from days gone by. And then the house itself, which is absolutely marvellous in every respect. The staff in each of the rooms were genuinely eager to tell their story and engage with the visitors, so we were able to have long chats, which we thoroughly enjoyed! A long walk to the Oak Tree and back completed our visit, which exceeded our expectations by far. It didn't go unnoticed that unlike most historic houses in Britain, the gift shop was mostly stocked with local produce, rather than the usual souvenirs. But although we couldn't find anything to buy, we didn't even mind that. I got the feeling that despite all its fascinating history and splendour, Hatfield House doesn't seem nearly as commercialised as many similar places (we were surprised about the small number of visitors in the middle of summer), and that would actually seem a good thing. As a result, our visit had a very intimate touch, and we felt individually valued, rather than being a part of big masses of tourists passing through. Our visit turned out to be the highlight of our 10-day holiday in the UK!

Huge gardens & park with multiple routes for avid walkers / dog walking & a fantastic set up for a lovely morning / family day out. Easy parking, we visited their shops and cafe in their entry area, headed to the loo, got ice cream and made our way around their grounds in a beautiful sunny day! Might feel expensive for a walk but a worthy day out for family / friends and a great adventure location with food, facilities, and beautiful nature! You can feel the history at Hatfield house. You have the spectacular house, built by Robert Cecil, along with the old palace, where Elizabeth 1st and Edward would have been bought up. You can almost imagine them playing in the wonderful West Gardens as you walk around. The staff are full of information and love to share their wealth of knowledge, just ask. After the house, we went for a walk through the woods, down to the picturesque river. My mother is in a wheelchair, but we had no problems getting around. Everywhere is accessible. Just be prepared for some inclines in the woodland walks.

I won 4 free tickets to visit here. We had a lovely time with our 2 year old son and 7 year old niece and enjoyed it, there was plenty for them to do together. The weather was rather hot so we only spent about 3 hours but you could easily spend more time. The children really enjoyed the outside water play area and the imaginarium. We brought a picnic but did order a couple of drinks from the indoor cafe which were reasonably priced and the iced caramel latte was lovely. We would come back here again!

Amazing day out with family and friends. The booking process was simple, and from the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and helpful. There’s so much to do — from the imaginative indoor play areas to the brilliant outdoor activities and animal enclosures. Everything is well maintained, clean, and safe. Our kids had a great time exploring, playing, and meeting the animals. We’ll definitely be coming back!

From animals to adventure, this place has it all!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First time visiting today and we had the most wonderful time! I went with my little boy and from start to finish it was a fantastic day out. The whole place is beautifully laid out, with so much attention to detail in every corner — it feels magical. The staff were brilliant — full of energy, enthusiasm, and genuine warmth towards the children. Their excitement was infectious and made the experience even more special. The play areas are incredible, with endless variety to keep little ones entertained for hours, and the animals were an absolute delight. There are plenty of lovely picnic spots to relax and so many perfect photo opportunities to capture the memories. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun, engaging, and beautifully designed day out. We can’t wait to go back!

A great adventure park and animals to see, we went on a particularly hot day and due to animal welfare, there was only a static bird of prey talk. This was expected but reasonable, and still fascinating to hear. The imaginarium was a hit, great seating areas for picnic, good facilities and parking. Staff were friendly, play grounds were fun and varied, great free activities such as archery. Great experience.

Fantastic day for the whole family. Very well designed place with plenty of animals to see. Huge playground with lots of options. Entertainment for children of all ages. Indoor soft play area with lots of verities, including rock climbing too. Toilets clean. Food and prices good. Convenient parking. Gift shop at the end. Highly recommended!

We visited Hobbledown Epsom on the Saturday, it was a very hot day. Yes, there are few places which been closed some due to weather condition and some had maintanance work, but it still so much to do for little people and enjoy their day.We seen some of the animals like alpake,donkey,capibara and cames. We had amazing day out and probably will re-visit place in a some point. Very nice place.

The current baleful retail complement includes some nation-wide names and brands but more so, clearance outlets. Many stores here project transience. Lately more so accentuating the amusement, entertainment presence with a large indoor children’s play area projecting a vertiginous thrust into the cavernous contour. In fact, the expansive glass+girdered roof a pointless aesthetic folly, emphasising an enervated B I G and spacious top gallery, devoid of customers and meaningful footfall Completed in 1991, straddling the A1 motorway, the design inspiration an aircraft hangar as homage to the local aircraft industry heritage. On a Friday afternoon, a dearth of customers, it struck me : I’m looking at history right here.

Fantastic Cinema Odeon and many restaurants, fast foods, few shops with outdoors items., M&S. Nice atmosphere.

Galleria is a nice place to shop and spend some time. It has a good mix of stores, restaurants, and cafés, with plenty of parking available. The place is generally clean and well-kept, and the atmosphere feels relaxed. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, but overall it’s a great spot for shopping, food, and a casual day out.

Very big shopping centre, reasonably priced, well maintained and managed

We stopped by for a visit and decided to grab something to eat. The food was nice, and there were activities for kids, especially the new Thomas train track, which was a big hit. It wasn’t very crowded, which made it a really relaxed and enjoyable day out.

It’s good shopping centre with a few outlets and some of them have a good stuff for a good price. And they have a kids playing area in the shopping centre which is good for kids to spend some time but should be cheaper. And they have some restaurants there to eat and drink. They should make it free parking as I think would attract more people to go there as I think it’s very quiet shopping centre.

Last week I visited the galleria everything was just perfect the cleaning level, the atmosphere and the people. I had a coffee from Costa but the coffee was not good ,it was cold and just a sweet water. Costa is a big brand but they are not serving quality in the galleria.

If you are interested in aircraft, a visit to this museum is a must. Great exhibits, well displayed, friendly and helpful volunteers on hand to give you information. Three complete Mosquitoes on display, including the prototype. Plus many other types of aircraft, some of which you can enter. This is where the Mosquito was designed, and the prototype aircraft was built. A great museum!

Absolutely superb day out for myself and a few chums, as it’s centrally located to meet up. Wonderfully atmosphere here, with such knowledgeable staff, who have enthusiasm which is infectious. There’s so much here, I’ve visited a few times, and seen more on each visit. Excellent little cafe too, for a halftime snack. We were given a guided tour, which was excellent value, very comprehensive and enjoyable.

A fabulous museum and so well worth a visit. The friendliest, approachable and knowledgeable volunteers make all the difference. Quite different to the vast RAF museum down the road. The exhibits are cared for and the restoration work carried out is brilliant. The aircraft on display are superb, particularly the three Mosquitos. It’s also a pleasure to just wander around outside walking through planes like the Comet, the Dove and the 146 and after all of this to sit and joy the delights on offer in the cafe. A highly recommended visit for all aircraft/history/and all things aircraft related.

A real jewel of a museum located on the outskirts of London. It’s full of history, with fascinating navigation and communication gadgets. They have the original Mosquito prototype, wooden fuel tanks, communications and navigation artifacts, a fuselage from the famous Comet—and even the piece that failed. I learned so much during this visit (and I thought I knew it all!). The staff at the museum are extremely friendly and eager to guide you and share countless stories about De Havilland aircraft. Many are former workers from the factory. I highly recommend it for any aviation enthusiast.

Fantastic museum with many amazing exhibits, aeroplanes, interactive activities and even a working Merlin engine! Wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff, lots for all ages to enjoy, plenty of aircraft to sit in and explore and a great gift shop and cafe. Visited with X4 boys ranging 9 to 18 and they all loved it. "Treasure hunt" style quiz available for kids and a great second hand book selection. Would recommend!

We had such a lovely day at Willows Activity Farm. The kids absolutely loved it — from feeding the animals to bouncing on the giant pillows and running around the Peter Rabbit play areas. There’s just so much for them to do, both indoors and outdoors, that we ended up staying most of the day without even realizing how fast it went by. Everything felt clean, safe, and well-kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fine (a bit pricey, as expected at these places), but it didn’t really matter because the kids were having the best time. It’s clear that the place was designed with families in mind — it’s easy to get around with a stroller, there are plenty of toilets and shaded spots, and you never feel rushed. Perfect for young kids who love to explore and play. We’ll definitely be coming back — it’s one of those rare spots where the whole family leaves happy and tired in the best way.

Went for potato digging. It was such a fun experience for kids. We enjoyed rest of the day at the playground.

Absolutely amazing place to bring the kids. I think this is about our 7th year of coming here and each time gets better with something new being added. Loads of seating, loads of toilets, loads of lovely treats, loads of great activities for the kids and lovely clean animals. I’ll be sad when the kids don’t want to come anymore. We visited Willows Farm on a Sunday for the Pumpkin Festival, and it was a lovely family day out! The pumpkin patch was beautiful with lots of photo spots, and there was even a pumpkin carving area. Our daughter loved the pumpkin hunt around the farm and was thrilled with her little prize at the end. There’s so much for kids to do — bouncy castle, Peter Rabbit shows, tractor rides, feeding the animals, playgrounds, mini golf, and rides. You can easily spend the whole day there. The only downside for us was the food. We tried one of the food trucks near the pumpkin patch, but it was disappointing and overpriced. The buns were cold, and the burgers tasted like they’d been pre-cooked. We also skipped the hot chocolate after someone in front of us returned theirs. We then went to the indoor canteen, but it was very busy with long queues and packed seating, so we couldn’t get a meal there either. It was a cold day, so a nice warm lunch would’ve made the day even better. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and loved all the activities, but the food options really let it down. We’d happily come again for the fun, but next time we’ll definitely bring our own food!

UNWELCOMING PLACE IF THERE WAS 0 stars I would give. Discriminatary behaviour was demonstrated towards us by staff. Unwelcoming. No understanding towards children. My son who was over 90cm was denied access to areas that he was actually eligible for. Do not waste your money here. Also on weekdays majority areas are shut with one staff working and the shows do not run. I forgot to take photos on the day due to stress caused but attached photos of some closed attractions including “adventure playground” “carasouls” and “playground slides”

Grandparent’s paradise - a full day of entertainment for under 9’s. Great attraction good parking, well organised with really nice staff. If it’s dry there’s lots to do. Not so great in the wet. Indoor play area and soft play is a bit tired but the kids still love it. Toilets everywhere and good quality play equipment/bouncy castles. What’s not to like?

We recently spent a memorable day at Willows Activity Farm, and it truly exceeded our expectations! Visiting with two other families with children around 3.5 years old, we all had a fantastic time exploring the farm, especially with the added Halloween decorations and pumpkin patches for the season. Lucky for us, we enjoyed a sunny day—quite a treat for October in England—which made the visit even more enjoyable.
