Thoroughly enjoyed talking the self guided tour. The glass floor gives a unique view of the Thames, but can be slightly unnerving. The engine room has the two steam engines, used to power the bascules, on display. Over all, it's very good venue for money.

Tower Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in London and visiting it was a fantastic experience. The views from the bridge are stunning, both of the Thames and the city. Taking the Tower Bridge Exhibition tour made the visit even better, as it gave detailed insights into how the bridge was built and the fascinating mechanism behind its operation. Walking across the glass floor was a unique highlight too, giving a completely different perspective of the bridge and the river below. The site is very well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing to keep in mind is that you may need to wait in a queue for entry, and on a sunny day this can feel a bit frustrating. Still, it’s not just a landmark to admire from outside, but also an educational and memorable experience to explore from within. Definitely worth visiting.

Walking near Tower Bridge is honestly one of the nicest things to do in London, especially if you’re trying to escape the busy streets without leaving the city. The view is unreal – you’ve got the bridge itself, which looks straight out of a postcard, the river Thames calmly flowing, and plenty of spots to just sit and chill. There’s something peaceful about hearing the water and watching the boats go by, even when there are tourists around. At sunset, the whole area lights up in warm colours and it feels kinda magical. It’s also surprisingly clean and safe, even in the evening. Loads of nice little cafes and street food stalls around if you fancy a bite, and the walk towards the south bank or down to St Katharine Docks is worth it too. You get a mix of old-school charm and modern city vibes. Would definitely recommend it for a date, a solo unwind walk, or just to take some beautiful photos. 10/10 – calming, scenic, and very London.

The Tower Bridge is a great stop if you're in the nearby area, and provides about 30min to 1 hour diversion. Combined with the free audio tour, great views complete with partial glass floor in one section, historic awe of the building process, and gift shop at the end - I would highly recommend if you're in the area. There are lifts for the tower, but I suggest/recommend you take the stairs getting some insight, facts and touch of history on the way up and down. There are benches to rest, toilets but no Air Con for most of it, however fans throughout provide plenty of relief - 84 degrees and it never felt sweltering inside. Learn how the bridge was designed, constructed and changes over the years - in particular the engine room videos and presentation on divers were really great. And whenever you're done walk along the Thames River path near the wharf and grab a bite to eat.

Good view from the top from a perspective you won't see otherwise. Short video of old footage of London was good. Information boards everywhere to enlighten visitors. On the London Pass so that makes it better value.

Wonderful experience. We travelled to Waterloo by train and hopped on boat to London Bridge for the Tower which was easy and entertaining. The Tower was fascinating, such history. The poppy installation was fantastic. A really good day.....but you need comfy walking shoes!

Great day out. Went on a weekend and not too busy outside of peak season. Crown Jewels clearly the highlight, and didn’t disappoint - displays nicely spaced out, not too much content to overload younger ones and up to date, but there’s also so much more to see. Poppy display was superb, exotic animals, Yeoman tour and White Tower also worth the time, with the latter having interactive area for children. Nice day out and good to take a picnic (though not lots of spaces to sit and eat).

Enjoyed all the history The Ravens were alot bigger than I imagined. The crown Jewels were amazing and loads of gold pieces of various objects the punch bowl was massive. All the beefeaters were friendly and helpful.

Absolutely a wonderful time. As a tourist from the US, I cannot believe the amount of history in one place. You could spend an entire vacation at this site alone. Seeing highlights from the coronation amd seeing them in real life was fantastic. The displays in the White Tower were worth it alone

I’ve been wanting to take the kids on The London Eye for a while but I’m glad I waited until they were older otherwise I think they would have got bored after a while! We came during the summer holidays so the weather was nice and the views were beautiful. I pre booked for the best ticket prices and to take advantage of the £20 per adult and £18 per child special offers. We enjoyed it and the kids were able to spot famous buildings which was fun 😁 The only let down was that there were alot of us in our cabin as we were grouped up with a large family with limited seating so after a while of standing i had to sit on the poles due to issues with my knee and the kids sat on the floor. It was a busy day and I think the staff filled the cubicle to capacity This is something to bear in mind for those that may have ailments or disabilities where they need to sit down. Other than that it is worth the visit, we didn’t wait long in the queue and they also take pictures and give you a card with a QR code which can be scanned so you can purchase the pictures after your ride which is nice 😊

The London Eye is an interesting experience that I was glad that I went on, but I am not sure if I would recommend. It offers great views of the city but I understand that The Shard and Sky Garden also can do this. Heck, the coffee shop at Tate Modern also has great views and it is free to go up. We had booked a time and were waiting for our slot, when we arrived 15 minutes early to join an extremely long queue. I was very surprised how quickly the line went and we actually boarded the ride at our allocated time. I suspect if we arrived early (within reason), we could have got on sooner rather than waiting around. Getting on and off was easy, even though the ride didn't stop. The entire trip lasted about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. Obviously the views were great, but I `think that I would have spent less time if I had gone up the Shard or Sky Garden, as the ride seemed to trudge along. The are definitely opportunities to get discounted tickets: book online or in the visitor centre or with the London Pass. Since the line went quick, I wouldn't pay extra for a fast path.

Absolutely love London. And Big Ben is a must see / visit. It has been beautifully restored and looks grand as it should. Right next to the houses of Parliament and across from Westminster Abbey just down the road from Buckingham Palace. And then there is number 10. Definitely make time to go to this iconic land Mark.

I’m not the biggest fan of London, but Big Ben was absolutely beautiful. The architecture is stunning, and the city around it feels so classic and elegant. It was really cool getting off the Westminster stop on the Tube and walking straight up to see Big Ben towering above it’s such an iconic sight. Even if London isn’t your favorite city, this landmark will definitely impress you.

Breathtaking Abbey! So many beautiful monuments. The architecture is marvelous. So much to look at you could definitely spend the whole day. Friendly,helpful and knowledgeable staff. It is a working church so depending on when you go you might see a daily prayer or two. Gentlemen remember is respectful to remove your hat. It's a must see!

(visited on 12 May 2025) this is That One Church England uses for all a lot of the royal events we see as tourists on the television, so naturally with our luck we missed the royal victory ceremony on the 8th and then got ceremoniously chased out on the day we visited for a diplomatic event. between that and missing the changing of the guard on the same day we should’ve bought a lottery ticket to the West End. anyway. what we gleaned of the short time we had there was the massive size of the church. large church with loads of tombs, monuments and graves for notable figures in English and European history including Queen Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots were all laid there. Monuments to Darwin, Shakespeare and the Bronte Sisters were also scattered on the floor and in the Poets’ Corner. the free audio guides offered were super helpful with offering context for a lot of the abbey’s sprawling tombs and areas. we sped run this with the audio guide because 😀 diplomatic event, but still had time to appreciate the architecture and grandeur, especially of the nave and coronation area. stained glass was gorgeous too. note that you’re not supposed to take videos in here. staff were still nice when we asked them about why we were being so nicely shoved out of the church we paid full price for, but WE FELT THAT COULDVE BEEN SAID EARLIER? as previously clarified this took place in May so—might’ve been a one off thing. lastly. the gift store is HIGHLY entertaining do visit

Beautiful building with a lot to see inside especially for history enthusiasts. I would recommend booking in advance which will give you a time slot for entry. We still had to wait despite having the designated time so be prepared (we waited about 45 mins). It's worth it though to see everything. I also found the audio guide helpful for filling in context on everything. The optional upper floors are worth it too as they have great views looking down as well as some fascinating antiques.

No visit to London is complete without seeing Westminster Abbey. This magnificent Anglican church has hosted every British coronation for nearly 1,000 years and serves as the resting place of monarchs, writers, scientists, and national heroes. It’s also been the setting for many royal weddings and state funerals. A true World Heritage Site! Book tickets in advance and allow plenty of time to take it all in. Highly recommended!!

I visited Westminster Abbey for the first time at age 50, coinciding with the 44th Independence Service for Antigua and Barbuda. Despite a cold, rainy English day, stepping inside was incredible. The detail throughout the Abbey is breathtaking, and it was impeccably clean. The staff—ushers and clergy—were professional, respectful, and welcoming, always guiding visitors with a smile. One of the clergy even cracked a few jokes, showing their sense of humour and humanity. Westminster Abbey is a beautiful, top-notch cathedral in London. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

The Abbey is an amazing place to visit, however the ticket is expensive for a live church. We booked a tour guide with church verger for a tenner which was a great tour and Kat provided lots of interesting info about the abbey. We also visited the Queen’s diamond gallery, accessible through Weston Tower. O stall we had a great time.

Visiting The National Gallery was truly a magical experience. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the atmosphere and every room tells a different story through its paintings. The layout makes it easy to explore, and the colors, details, and emotions in each artwork are breathtaking. It’s not just a museum but it’s a journey through art and history that leaves you inspired and full of wonder.

It was a wonderful experience. The museum has a good collection of Monet and Van Gogh paintings, which I really enjoyed. For just an afternoon, it’s possible to see everything without getting too tired, though you could easily spend a whole day if you want to study the works in detail. We visited on November 17, and there was also a Christmas market outside the museum, which added a very festive atmosphere.

A very spacious series of galleries housing some of the best known images in the international art world. With a restaurant and toilets and plenty of friendly guides you can easily spend a day here, or just pop in and revisit your favourites. It may look daunting from the outside but the new entrance makes the whole place accessible for anyone. Children of any age will find something to look at and many school trips visit and no they don't disturb the 'grown ups'! A teashop, restaurant, bookshop and well stocked shop make this a day, or two to remember.

I can say that I love this museum. Seeing such a collection of paintings for free is just amazing nowadays. There are beautiful paintings in every room. I could spend a day to visit it. Just do not forged taking a map at the entrance as this is a pretty large museum. French, Spanish, Italian, English, Deutsche… painters from middle age to impressionists. A pretty large collection of Impressionists paintings that can rival with that of Musée d’Orsay in France. Only the Louvre in France is more impressive (but far from being free) among all painting museums that I visited all other the world (with a special notice for Grenoble and Poitier’s painting museum that are great place to visit too).

The National Gallery, a one place to see history through paintings. As usual this gallery is free for entery and quite big so plan ahead. You can book free online ticket or walkin. Tube connectivity is there. Plan to enjoy and take photos from outside squar also. There is a paid washroom available outside. You get chance to see a lot of historical paintings and know about the artist. Due to limited time I was not able to complete it. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water if possible.

I visited the National Gallery today and absolutely loved it. It’s an absolute must visit place when in London, and you can spend hours wandering from room to room, never running out of things to look at. One of the highlights for me was seeing some of Monet’s pieces in person, a moment I’ve been looking forward to for so long. Standing in front of his work felt surreal, and it was worth the entire trip on its own. I highly recommend paying the galley a visit, especially because it’s free entry!

If you’re in London, you must visit this place. I stopped by during an 8 hour layover, and even though I couldn’t take my time the way I wanted to, it was absolutely worth it. The collection is stunning, wall after wall of masterpieces you could spend hours admiring. I barely scratched the surface and already felt amazed. I’ll definitely be coming back on a proper trip so I can truly enjoy and appreciate everything this museum has to offer.

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield. The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better. As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

As a visitor, you can’t ask for a better system to get about to major museums, etc. You get to ride with both the working class and executives alike. Iconic London ! Takes a little getting used to, if you need to travel in the City, it’s the way to go. As a visitor, we purchased a Visitor Oyster Card online, it’s a fantastic deal. Recommended.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

These shops are all closed for good. I could rattle on about the good old days, (people actually pay to hear about it) and a book would be better; it would take a book, pdf, file, whatever to explain how much it has changed. Point? Many but the main one is: Thanks to Bid Rigging the same people keep getting rich fulfilling contracts that do nothing but cosmetic change. I'd rather see the old retailers (driven out by sky high rent, business taxes, business rates that the the big corporate retailers. Btw/ if you come to London be prepared to lug your suitcase up and down many flights of stairs. Of course the bureaucracy will point to "no step access" (only lawsuits by disabled brought that in) and there are more lifts (elevators), yes this is better than nothing - - lucky find one lift 20 years ago. The old, dirty, extremely noisy rolling stock in Central London is the same. Recently you could still find "MetroCamell" 1973. John Lennon probably on one. Sure, they Spent £16 Billion over budget and late) on a new Elizabeth Line. It's a nice reflection on what we have - - tourists are in central London for the sights, not off to Abby Wood (the other one) and to have them riding the clittering, clanking, clattering collection of caligenous junk - - (think Wizard of Oz to the Tin Man) is a disgrace.

Coming from Manchester we need this in the city.... Yes its a bit dim, dark and dirty.... But what a brilliant, cheap and quick way to get around....

What a place to visit. The world meets in London and I hope it continues that way. Everything is well organized, spaced and placed. It’s my second time in there and am keen to go back more times. This is not a one day visit you need few times to cover the whole Musuem. Recommend to come with comfortable shoes

Went on a Thursday in half term time, it was incredibly busy, loads of children! It was still a nice experience for my kids, they loved it. You need a couple of days to visit the whole museum, especially if you are looking to study anything in particular. Limited choices on thw food in the food court area and expect London prices but there is also a high end restaurant at the top. Own food and drinks are permitted only in the designated area. We will definitely come again to see and study other areas.

It’s free to visit; however, when you think about all the pieces taken away from their motherlands, it does feel a bit bittersweet. :) Make sure to book your tickets in advance — it gets busy! The British Museum is truly timeless. It was my fourth visit, yet it still felt magical. My kids loved the Egyptian mummies — their excitement was contagious! As a Chinese visitor, I felt proud yet emotional seeing so many treasures from my homeland. The collections are stunning, though the crowds can be intense. Entry is free, but booking online helps you get in faster. This museum isn’t just about history — it’s about humanity, memory, and reflection. A must-visit for anyone coming to London.

Interesting to be and see inside this storied place. The State Rooms are interesting and the chance to see the royal art collection is a real treat. I also enjoyed the special exhibition of art produced on the King Charles’s travel over the years as well as the throne room. It’s crowded but manageable. I also visited the mews with the carriages and would recommend. My disappointment was the limited access to the garden. The website lists the Royal Gardens as one of the highlights and includes pictures of the rose garden and other select spots. Once on-site I learned that much of the garden, including the roses I hoped to see, is off-limits unless you book a special tour, which were all booked. This is not made clear on the website when booking. Also note that the amount of time they indicate for the palace tour is far too long unless you’re planning to eat in the cafe and do a lot of shopping in the gift shop. I listened to the entire tour and spent time in all of the rooms and it took me 45 minutes or so—they indicate 2 to 2.5 hours. This can be an issue if you are booking multiple timed elements at the palace or tickets elsewhere.

Tickets are not necessary for the changing of the guard. But I recommend standing on the fountain if you cannot get near the fence. You will need tickets for the States room tour. It's well worth with it.

Highly recommend the palace tour as the palace is quite stunning on the inside. Do buy the tickets in advance and show up right in time for your entry because there’s no wait then! The gift shop also has some quality souvenirs so I highly recommend it. Also, the palace gardens were my favourite gardens in London ✨✨✨✨

The palace is absolutely beautiful inside, but no photography. We really enjoyed our visit there. It's is a good bit of walking around but benches to rest on. There is a 20 minutes walk one you get outside to get back out to the main street but once again plenty of benches to rest.

Visited during the changing of the guard I really didn’t know what I was in for. The crowds and fences were ridiculous and the event was not that impressive to me. I could’ve skipped it and been fine. Because of the event I really didn’t get to see the palace exterior and gates very well due to large crowds and barricades. Unless the changing of the guard is a bucket list thing you really want to see I would recommend not going during that event if you’re wanting to get a good view of the palace.

Strolling by Buckingham Palace with a friend in the afternoon was unforgettable. A lively crowd gathered out front, and to our surprise, the King himself exited! The grand palace looked stunning in the sunlight, and the nearby fountain added to the royal charm. Truly a special moment! If you are in the vicinity give it a go.

Camden Market is one of the most vibrant and lively places to visit in London! You’ll find an incredible variety of shops selling everything from souvenirs to clothing, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable if you know how to bargain. I found keychains and magnets at a great deal — around 12 for £10 — which is much cheaper than most other tourist spots. If you’re into fashion, this place won’t disappoint. There are stalls offering trendy jackets, accessories, and unique handmade items that you probably won’t find anywhere else. The highlight, though, has to be the Camden Lock Food Market. It’s absolutely fabulous! You can try mouthwatering street food from around the world — everything from Asian, Mexican, and Italian to vegan delicacies — all at reasonable prices. The vibrant ambience, the smell of freshly cooked food, and the buzzing crowd make the whole experience unforgettable. And dont forget the boat life where you will see boat to go from ground floor to first floor which is quite a unique experience. One of the most picturesque spots here is the area with colourful umbrellas hanging overhead — perfect for photos! The entire market has an artsy, bohemian vibe that makes it a wonderful place to spend a relaxed day wandering around, shopping, eating, and just soaking in the energy. Whether you’re with friends, family, or your partner, Camden Market is definitely one of the best places to spend your day and experience the real charm of London

We did a food tour here via secret food tours over the Thanksgiving holiday and it was so much fun! Definitely recommend! So many things to see in Camden market and so many delicious restaurants! This would be a great place to get souvenirs to bring back for friends and family as well. Come hungry so you can try a bunch of different food vendors!

I went to Camden Market with my family. There’s an incredible variety of food from all over the world. We each grabbed something different, and everything was delicious. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend hours just trying different foods. One thing to note: it does get very crowded, especially during peak hours. But honestly, that just adds to the energy of the place. It’s buzzing with people from everywhere, and there’s always something happening around you. We also stopped by the vintage store next to the market, which had a great selection of retro clothes and unique pieces. It was a nice change of pace from the usual high street shopping. If you’re in London and looking for a fun, energetic place with great food and cool shops, Camden Market is a must-visit — just be ready for the crowds!

A vibrant market, lots of shops that sell leather bags, wallets, blouses, hats, vintage clothing, paintings, spices, etc, lots of food choices, wraps, hamburgers, fries, soups, sandwiches, salads, stirfrys etc for lunch and dinner and treats like ice cream, fancy coffees, I enjoyed the environment with old brick buildings, nice planter displays, the many umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, vintage farm style decor and art to explore. Lots of people here so if you don’t like crowds this isn’t the place for you. If you want to use the washroom it will cost you money usually around one pound.

if this was Reddit I’d get downvoted so fast— in our opinion this was a THINLY veiled tourist trap . everything here is super pricey (i acknowledge that the power of my currency affects my perception of pricing here) and most of them seem to be foods from other countries (they give free samples though, which was nice) even the clothes were giving street stores in Thailand for quadruple the price and jewellery was 100% drop shipped from China. the only store worth looking at was the digicam one cause at the very least the owner seemed knowledgeable. the tinier market down the road also seemed More drop shipped and the owners were rudeee on the bright side we spotted a heron prancing around the market, he was very dignified indeed

Had a good time with family, spent around 2hrs at the venue.kudos to the entire team for excellent crowd control. Around 80% of the wax statue look stunning and fantastic, rest felt like a dummy one. The special attraction was "Spirit of London" ride, which is a themed taxi ride through the city's history, and not a conventional train ride. The ride uses iconic black cabs to take visitors on a 5-minute journey through London's history and cultural events which also includes wax figures, immersive exhibits, and a 4D cinema.

Had a great time! There’s quite a collection to explore, with some truly fascinating stories, science section and even a few spooky horror rooms. The organisation and presentation were excellent, and the cable ride through centuries of history was absolutely epic! I didn’t see many staff around, but I didn’t really need any help. Overall, I had an amazing time and would highly recommend it!

I had an amazing experience at the Madame Tuassads London. I have already been to other places but this one was different. In addition to various wax statues there was a ride which was very beautiful. Also there was 3D show which was star of the whole lot. Would highly recommend even if you have visited other wax museums. Its clean and wait time is not much.

Madame Tussauds was such a fun experience! The wax figures look unbelievably real ,it’s like walking through a celebrity world. The Marvel and Royal Family sections were my favourites. It does get busy, but totally worth it for the photos and the atmosphere.

I was a bit hesitant about going here, if it's really worth the money... And it is! We enjoyed this interactive experience very much! It's fun and I very much appreciated it is not just the wax figures (which are impressive by themselves), but I was excited about the Marvel 3D experience, the little "taxi" drive through the history of London or the scary horror cellar :) What was dissapointing was the price of the photos they take for you (25 pounds?!). But otherwise perfect way to spend a memorable afternoon (at least 3 hours recommended!), totally recommended. PS: pleasant surprise at the end of our visit was the London Eye tickets for 10£ offer.

Unique experience the only true copy of the Sistine chapel at 2/3 size outside of Italy. Took one man 5 years to complete by himself as opposed to Michelangelo and his team spending 4 and 1/2 years for the real thing. It really is amazing to see if you can go early late morning early afternoon. There's often a docent who will tell you a story about the ceiling. Donations are welcome. Best to call ahead in case there is a service or a funeral, in which case you won't be able to go in. Truly amazing! Recommended.

Absolutely amazing ceiling The Sistine Chapel of Goring near Worthing. Wonderful stained glass windows. Were given the history of the church by a friendly volunteer. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely blown away by the serenity & beauty of this church. The volunteers were so friendly & knowledgeable. If you're in the area make the effort to visit as its well worth it regardless of which faith you follow.

Not sure i added the place in correctly but I ended up going along the the M23. I had wanted to go to Herons bonsai nursery after our visit to the church. Fortunatley we wernt far from it where we ended up. Lovely lady at the church who checked to see where we went wrong - to tell me i was an hours drive away! I will try again but this time a direct Google map with no stops in between. 😅

It was a wonderful biking trip from Purley to Box Hill on a ebike. At 68 years of age I could cycle 50 KMS and explore British Countryside. Worth the effort.

I love this place as it's 30 minute drive for me. A good place to enjoy nature, trails and good food options within 5 minutes walk. Plenty of parking available, and kids can enjoy the place as they have Children specific Trails too with few nature activities that my child enjoys! Definitely one of my favourite place in the UK.

Did Box Hill, Lodge Hill and Juniper Hill Circular that having up and down always but the terrain within 200m that so far not too hard. The view of box hill is so good.

Great views, National Trust car park saves a hike up the hill (cost is free for National Trust members, prices on attached photos for non-members); follow the NT sign up the zig zag Road. We did the stepping stone walk on a warm but mercifully not sunny day in August. It was doable in comfy trainers although it did involve a very steep descent down the steps from the car park to the stepping stones and then we followed the path along the river (although you can't actually see the river) back to the village where the zig zag road starts going up the hill. The path back up the hill starts just to the left of the hotel on the roundabout and is very steep, so you need to be fully mobile and relatively fit to get up there. It looked very slippery for those coming down that way as it was just a gravel path on a steep hill, not steps like going down to the stepping stones. We did the whole walk slowly with a 4 year old who definitely needed carrying for the steepest parts and with a few stops to catch out breath and have a snack it took us approx 2 hours. It was a nice walk but we didn't realise how steep the slopes would be and wished we had taken more water!

Beautiful place for some serious incline hiking, or just a gentle walk depending on what route you take. Perfect for training for a big climb/hike up a mountain, also nice for a dog walk with some really great views! Definitely bring plenty of water with you and ideally some hiking poles if you’re a bit unfit or need that extra support if you’re doing the longer, hilly routes as it is VERY steep in places! A cafe is situated at the car park but it’s very expensive. There’s also toilets there and usually an ice cream van in the car park in sunny weather (again, extortionate prices (£5.50 for a small whippy ice cream) but it’s there if you want it! :) There’s free water fountains there though which is handy for refilling your bottle. Parking is around £10 for the day, or free for disabled badge holders and national trust members. Overall, great place!

A beautiful and peaceful hike! I had a great time at Box Hill! The scenery on the drive up was beautiful, and the 20-30 minute hike to the top was definitely worth it. It was so peaceful and the views were stunning. The only minor issue was parking. We ended up having to use the private car park in front of the hotel, which cost £4.95 for 2 hours. Just something to be aware of if you're planning a visit! Despite that, it was a fantastic experience and I'd highly recommend it for a peaceful walk with amazing views.

Great place for a day out with family or friends. Walking shoes are recommended. Be prepared for a moderate difficulty, lots of steps parts ( on the way from The Stepping Stones up to Box Hill we accounted 278) . Beautiful views from every side. At the top is a parking, if you are a National Trust member is free if not you have to pay. Coffee shop is cosy, with lots of choices of food and drinks, helpful and kind staff, toilets available. Highly recommended.

Lovely spot for fishing, walking, visiting cafe etc. Good location in small village but with sufficient facilities to stay for a week without needing to visit a big supermarket etc. pitches are decent size and the lakeside pitches offer ideal situation for fishing and camping, in relative privacy. Staff are friendly, helpful and responsive to questions. Only issue for me was the service at the ‘Cafe on the Lake’ . Staff were not organized, working together and long queues resulted. Also noted the apparent manager criticizing a member of front house staff open.y in front of customers, which I never like.

This is a great camping/caravan/motorhome site and fishery. Also a working farm. Extremely dog friendly, got a play area for kids, safe for cycling. Toilet/shower/laundry facilities are excellent. I highly recommend it 👌. I haven't rated rooms because I was in my motorhome.

Love coming back to Sumners Pond. Cafe just gets better and better. Love the location. Staff really friendly. Food delicious. Lovely environment. Happy memories of family holidays here.

Every year for a long time there was no holiday that didn't include a visit to this campsite, of course with a tent, usually at bluebell park. Because there is a playground there and the kids love it, and unfortunately it was the same this year.Unfortunately, this year it turned out that nothing was left of the beautiful forest where the kids liked to walk at night with flashlights, but somehow they managed to get through it at the end of the visit, new holidaymakers arrived, I don't know why They chose this place because they had adult children and immediately started being loud and drinking alcohol openly, they lit a fire where it is forbidden and no one came to tell them they couldn't. I got up around 11 p.m. I got up to tell them to be quiet because we can't sleep, everything in the house stinks now, the clothes and car all have to be washed. We had to end our holiday early, even though it was paid for, because the stench of the burning fire and loud conversations at night after drinking alcohol were unbearable.

This is a great place for fishing walking and has a lovely cafe I haven't stayed here but I know they have many different styles of places to stay in from a simple tent to a full on lodge Very friendly staff with a great selection of food in the on site cafe and a well stocked fishing ahop on site too.

In general this campsite is okay. There is a lot of fishing opportunities if you like to fish and a few paths for biking or for walks or runs. However a lot of the forest got cut down since last year and I am quite dissapointed because riding a bike is close to impossible there now and children can't play their usual games in there. You can still go on walks there however. The showers near the playground had freezing cold water so I had to walk far away to the other showers for warmer water which were much better quality. The people next to my tent were very loud late at night and had an open fire which i saw them using the wood from the forest and I know is forbidden, but when I tried to call the campiste number they didn't pick up. The location is great because there is a small shop nearby where you can pick up food and toiletries if you need it. If you have children you can ask for a spot near the playground so you can easily watch your children while they play with friends or siblings. There is also horses, cows, bulls and ducks which you have opportunities to feed if you ask the reception.

Recently stayed in a shepards hut at sumners pond. Wanted a romantic getaway but not quite as expected. Only once I had booked did I find out that we could not book into 4pm due to lack of cleaning staff. Hut tidy but I would exactly say clean. Lots of dead insects on floor and on paintwork, outside deck covered in dead leaves and acorns. Also no correspondence from sumners pond to inform us that the cafe was closed on a Monday from 3 and no catering van so had to drive to find evening meal. The hut is not suitable at all to bbq so definatley had to get own food. Shower block described as new, is definatley more tired than new. But if using early in the morning were clean.

Wonderful place where you can spend a day immerse in the nature of the wineyards. In Autumn the colours of the trees and the leaves will leave you speechless. The tpur with the little train is fabulous qs every year.i defenitely reccommend to visit thia wonderful estate.

Great walk with fantastic views. Somewhat uphill. Had a good sandwich, but the fish n chips looked better. Coffee was good although the “barrister “ didn’t know the difference between an Americano and Long Black -“ they tell us it’s just coffee!!” Bought a Christmas decoration and a clockwork Christmas tree from the shop. Autumn colours lovely

Enjoyed the tea and train tour at the wine estate. Afternoon tea was delicious (both savoury and sweet, and there was plenty to go around). Would have liked a bit more instruction / organisation from the team about what the experience entailed. The hotel restaurant team were not prepared to receive us after the tour finished so there was a bit of waiting around which interrupted the momentum of what was otherwise a fab day. The wine was great too!

Considering this is a working vineyard it's great that there is open access for walkers and you are able to take in the stunning views and get up close to the grapes! Has a spacious gift shop and as a relief to older walkers the toilets are free to use!

Had the best stay and wine tour at Denbies!! Eduardo at the hotel gave us a 5 star stay!! Even put the heaters on outside and let us finish our bottle of wine there after dinner. Thank you Eduardo for making our stay extra special X

So much to do for all of the family our age range was 6-11 and there was only 1 ride the 6yr old couldn't go on so if you have thrill seekinging younger ones I would recommend Chessington but also the gruffalo ride and room on a broom we're amazing gentle fun the was perfect for a little (or big) one that doesn't like going too fast. Plenty of photo opportunities to capture the family fun memories

I’ve been visiting Chessington ever since I was a kid, and now I get to bring my own children here! The park has retained much of its charm from when I was younger. My daughters are 8 and 2, and there are plenty of rides and attractions suitable for both of them to enjoy. It’s great to see the park continuing to evolve with exciting additions like the Jumanji area and the upcoming Paw Patrol attraction. However, I do feel that some of the older rides could use a bit more attention — we got stuck on the Gruffalo ride, and the Vampire ride (my very first rollercoaster!) was unfortunately closed. I was really looking forward to sharing that nostalgic experience with my daughter. Overall, Chessington is still a fantastic family day out and a place full of wonderful memories. We’ll definitely be back once the new areas and rides open up!

A very good family theme park. There is a wide variety of attractions, including a good selection of rollercoasters for those wanting rides of the slightly more thrilling type. There are also many younger oriented rides.

Disappointing Experience at Chessington Adventures I spent around 45 minutes stuck in traffic just trying to get into the park, and then another 30 minutes driving around the car park looking for a space. Even though we paid full price for our tickets, we were only able to go on about 3–5 rides the entire day because of how extremely busy it was. The signboards claimed the waiting time was 30 minutes, but that’s completely inaccurate — it took at least double that for every ride. The park itself looks nice, but the whole experience was ruined by the endless queues and poor crowd management. Overall, it was an awful experience and definitely not worth the time or money. I wouldn’t want to visit again.

I visited Chessington World of Adventures today with my family and had a really good time. The weather was lovely, which always helps, and I was impressed with how easy it was to get on the rides. Most of them had little to no queue at all, so we could go straight on, which was fantastic with young children. The kids really enjoyed themselves and there was a nice mix of rides suitable for their ages. On the downside, some of the rides could definitely do with a bit more cleaning and maintenance, as a few looked quite worn. I also noticed a bit of a rat problem near some of the bins, which was unpleasant to see. Overall though, we had a very enjoyable day out and I would recommend it to families, especially if you can go on a quieter day like we did.

Lovely day with the children, my only criticism is the time it takes to get onto the ride, the cost to upgrade is just too much, but the time wasted on getting people off and on I think could be improved to speed things up. The guys in the ticket office were brilliant after some issues with my tickets not coming through they sorted it very quickly.

Chessington is an all rounded place to visit as it both has animals and rides!!! The ride queue time is sometimes long but you get to buy quick access tickets. Sometimes even when the queue was just 5 minutes you had to walk through the long queue path which sometimes can be annoying. The park has something for everyone. Not much choice in food especially if you are health conscious but you get to bring your own picnic. Staff were friendly in the park- not so much in the car park. The refill stations for the cups you can buy for £18 were few and not well sign posted and the ones stationed outside were covered in wasps. The ones in the sweet shop were great!! They also don’t let u refill for ten minutes which was also annoying cos I got a couple of wasps in my first drink!! The rides were good. The animals look healthy and happy. I had a very good day out here.

What a wonderful place this is your visit, especially if you're a history lover or architecture enthusiast! I absolutely adored the rambling Gardens with a choice of different length walks, the cafe was very relaxed with a range of food and drinks but the highlight for me was the incredible tour of the old Elizabethan building by very knowledgeable and friendly Dermot! What a pleasure it was to enjoy such an in depth and interesting talk by such an experienced gentleman. We would definitely visit again!!

Visited the gardens only. Some of the most beautifully curated public gardens in SE England. Very lucky to be able to visit the East Garden which is only open to the public on certain Wednesdays. Some nice woodland walks as well although I would have to say that these aren't fantastically signposted.

It was very lovely place to visit. Free parking and only short walk to the house and gardens. Very brilliant, smiley and pleasant people work there, it was not a problem for them to help us use the lift a few times,so thank you.! It makes the visit so much easier and nicer. It's not easy to get around everywhere if you have a buggy or especially the walker.. Very recommend this place to visit!

What a gorgeous hidden gem just north of London crammed full of history. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides in each room. Check out their website as they put on ‘festival’ type events. The grounds are well kept. Only downside for me was you have to pay extra to go into the palace (£8 I believe). The ‘marmite’ fountain at the back of the house is interesting. I loved it. I will definitely be back.

I don't even know where to start to describe this fantastic place! We spent about five hours there and loved every single minute of it. There is just so much to see! We first visited the Gardens, which are stunning. Then we spontaneously opted for a guided tour of the Old Palace, which absolutely blew us away. I must admit that when we had decided to visit Hatfield House, we weren't even aware of the Old Palace and its significant history, so it felt like an extra bonus. Our guide was not only very knowledgeable, but also extremely engaging - a pure joy to listen to and get lost in the stories from days gone by. And then the house itself, which is absolutely marvellous in every respect. The staff in each of the rooms were genuinely eager to tell their story and engage with the visitors, so we were able to have long chats, which we thoroughly enjoyed! A long walk to the Oak Tree and back completed our visit, which exceeded our expectations by far. It didn't go unnoticed that unlike most historic houses in Britain, the gift shop was mostly stocked with local produce, rather than the usual souvenirs. But although we couldn't find anything to buy, we didn't even mind that. I got the feeling that despite all its fascinating history and splendour, Hatfield House doesn't seem nearly as commercialised as many similar places (we were surprised about the small number of visitors in the middle of summer), and that would actually seem a good thing. As a result, our visit had a very intimate touch, and we felt individually valued, rather than being a part of big masses of tourists passing through. Our visit turned out to be the highlight of our 10-day holiday in the UK!

Huge gardens & park with multiple routes for avid walkers / dog walking & a fantastic set up for a lovely morning / family day out. Easy parking, we visited their shops and cafe in their entry area, headed to the loo, got ice cream and made our way around their grounds in a beautiful sunny day! You can feel the history at Hatfield house. You have the spectacular house, built by Robert Cecil, along with the old palace, where Elizabeth 1st and Edward would have been bought up. You can almost imagine them playing in the wonderful West Gardens as you walk around. The staff are full of information and love to share their wealth of knowledge, just ask. After the house, we went for a walk through the woods, down to the picturesque river. My mother is in a wheelchair, but we had no problems getting around. Everywhere is accessible. Just be prepared for some inclines in the woodland walks.

Great day out with my 18 month old grandson and family! Lots for him to do and rides to go on. Loved the Barrel Bug Safari! The Splash Pad was a brilliant way to cool down on a hot day. We all enjoyed the Farm Show and Trailer & Tractor ride. All the staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Last Sunday our family of four celebrated here with our 6 year old birthday boy! He was greeted with congratulations and a birthday sticker which he loved. Staff were super friendly all day! They also sung happy birthday to him on stage at the family disco! It was a gorgeously sunny day, fairly quiet considering (perhaps due to end of summer?). The tractor ride was brilliant - the lady was so informative whilst driving us around - told us names, ages and personalities of the animals which was great! Lots included for your ticket price and my son said it was an 'epic day!' Jumping pillows, play castle, tea cups, splash attack, meeting the baby animals.. just so much to see and do. Love that you can pay 2 tokens (£2) for a pony ride.. this was his favourite activity! The park was clean, queues were short, it is well spaced out but does not require huge amounts of walking. Sensory Barn was a calm retreat and the indoor play area were fab with thrilling drop slides! Our 9 year old was pleasantly surprised and loved Skyfall 6m, Climbing Wall, Devils Dyke Descent. Just as lovely as we remember (having not been since he was 3!). We will definitely return, thank you Fishers Farm for our memorable day out! 👏❤️

We visited on 02/11/2025 with our 2 and 4 year old. This farm has been designed with children (and their animals) at the heart and it really does show. We had an amazing day and every corner we turned there was something for us to look at, explore or play. Thank you for a great day. I just also want to highlight the staff, every single member of staff was smiling and eager to help or just have a good chat, especially the lovely harlequin ‘guarding’ the little Halloween scary/sweet walk throughs. The animals are so loved and cared for. We have attend manyyyyy of farms and have never seen such happy animals! I also cannot get over how clean the farm was?!? The soft plays and play village are amazing, the outside areas spotless even the animal enclosures. You all deserve a hugeeeee pat on the back. So fairly priced and we cannot wait to come back and visit.

Had a fabulous day at Fishers with my 6 year old son. He particularly loved Skyfall, the climbing wall, Tropicana wagon run, soft play areas / slides and other rides. There was certainly enough to keep him entertained for a full day. He loves the freedom and variety the Farm offers The food outlets were good and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. It is amazing to see how the park has changed and improved over 35 years! We will return again.

Always a great day out at Fishers Farm. We travel from Wiltshire to meet friends half way. I’m happy to see some investment has been made to the park. The new entrance building with the gift shop is lovely. The woodland forest has been completely re done (photos attached). We are excited to try the ringos ramp when it’s finished next time we come as that was still being worked on. We especially loved the new baby sensory area inside. We had a great time at Fishers Farm Adventure Park — it’s a brilliant day out with lots to do and really well suited for younger children. The activities, rides, and play areas are perfect for under 12s, and my preschooler absolutely loved it. That said, it’s not ideal for teens, as there isn’t much to keep older kids entertained for long. Also, the pricing felt a bit unfair — my preschooler had to pay the same price as an adult, which was the only real downside of the visit. Other than that, it was a lovely day, the park is well maintained, and we’d definitely go again!

Visited Fishers Farm Park today with my 17 month old for the first time and wow what an amazing place. I have to say it's in my top 5 of places to go with children. Staff are so friendly and really good with the children, animals are well cared for and looked after and had lovely homes. There is so much to do there for children. So many play areas, rides (most are free), slides, sensory rooms, places to run, places to bounce and places to roam free! We had such a good day here. Food and drink is reasonably priced. Lots of areas to sit and have lunch too! Spent the whole day here and had such a great time! 10000% worth a visit!

We had such a lovely day at Willows Activity Farm. The kids absolutely loved it — from feeding the animals to bouncing on the giant pillows and running around the Peter Rabbit play areas. There’s just so much for them to do, both indoors and outdoors, that we ended up staying most of the day without even realizing how fast it went by. Everything felt clean, safe, and well-kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fine (a bit pricey, as expected at these places), but it didn’t really matter because the kids were having the best time. It’s clear that the place was designed with families in mind — it’s easy to get around with a stroller, there are plenty of toilets and shaded spots, and you never feel rushed. Perfect for young kids who love to explore and play. We’ll definitely be coming back — it’s one of those rare spots where the whole family leaves happy and tired in the best way.

Went for potato digging. It was such a fun experience for kids. We enjoyed rest of the day at the playground.

Absolutely amazing place to bring the kids. I think this is about our 7th year of coming here and each time gets better with something new being added. Loads of seating, loads of toilets, loads of lovely treats, loads of great activities for the kids and lovely clean animals. I’ll be sad when the kids don’t want to come anymore. We visited Willows Farm on a Sunday for the Pumpkin Festival, and it was a lovely family day out! The pumpkin patch was beautiful with lots of photo spots, and there was even a pumpkin carving area. Our daughter loved the pumpkin hunt around the farm and was thrilled with her little prize at the end. There’s so much for kids to do — bouncy castle, Peter Rabbit shows, tractor rides, feeding the animals, playgrounds, mini golf, and rides. You can easily spend the whole day there. The only downside for us was the food. We tried one of the food trucks near the pumpkin patch, but it was disappointing and overpriced. The buns were cold, and the burgers tasted like they’d been pre-cooked. We also skipped the hot chocolate after someone in front of us returned theirs. We then went to the indoor canteen, but it was very busy with long queues and packed seating, so we couldn’t get a meal there either. It was a cold day, so a nice warm lunch would’ve made the day even better. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and loved all the activities, but the food options really let it down. We’d happily come again for the fun, but next time we’ll definitely bring our own food!

UNWELCOMING PLACE IF THERE WAS 0 stars I would give. Discriminatary behaviour was demonstrated towards us by staff. Unwelcoming. No understanding towards children. My son who was over 90cm was denied access to areas that he was actually eligible for. Do not waste your money here. Also on weekdays majority areas are shut with one staff working and the shows do not run. I forgot to take photos on the day due to stress caused but attached photos of some closed attractions including “adventure playground” “carasouls” and “playground slides”

Grandparent’s paradise - a full day of entertainment for under 9’s. Great attraction good parking, well organised with really nice staff. If it’s dry there’s lots to do. Not so great in the wet. Indoor play area and soft play is a bit tired but the kids still love it. Toilets everywhere and good quality play equipment/bouncy castles. What’s not to like?

We recently spent a memorable day at Willows Activity Farm, and it truly exceeded our expectations! Visiting with two other families with children around 3.5 years old, we all had a fantastic time exploring the farm, especially with the added Halloween decorations and pumpkin patches for the season. Lucky for us, we enjoyed a sunny day—quite a treat for October in England—which made the visit even more enjoyable. The Versailles of British gardening If Kew is the King, then Wisley is unquestionably the Crown Prince beautifully groomed, impeccably mannered, and dripping in horticultural old-money charm. The borders are magnificent. The glasshouse is a cathedral of tropical splendour. Even the ducks appear to have degrees in botany. You don’t visit Wisley you take pilgrimage. Spring brings tulips arranged with mathematical perfection. Summer is dahlia heaven. Autumn is a masterclass in fiery foliage. Winter? Even the frost looks curated. The gift shop deserves its own postcode and a security guard you will leave with at least one book you didn’t need, a mug you don’t have room for, and seeds for plants you cannot pronounce. This is simply the Wisley effect. Bring: Comfortable shoes A packed lunch (or a willing wallet the café is delicious but not for the faint-pursed) A camera, because the borders humiliate your own garden mercilessly If you love plants, go. If you don’t love plants, go anyway you will by the end.

Absolutely beautiful gardens — always something new to see in every season. The Glasshouse is stunning, and the Hilltop Centre is full of great ideas for sustainable gardening. Everything is so well cared for, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely cafés and plenty of space to relax and wander. A perfect day out for garden lovers or anyone who enjoys nature! 🌿🌸

Stunning day out with the family, to be in awe of nature. Mind-blowing how many different trees/plants/flowers there are around you (all labelled!) and how exquisitely they are maintained by the RHS Wisley team. Managed to get discounted tickets and thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing day of walking around all of the different gardens. The indoor glass house is also amazing in what feels like a rainforest climate! Definitely one to check out for the day to get in the clean air and appreciate the incredible creation around us! Ample free parking available.

Beautiful gardens and grounds. So much to see and a lovely walk through the open areas . Plenty of things to do with their library and activity centre. Great places to eat and a massive garden centre with gift shop. I had a great day out.

Do love a visit to Wisley. Loads to see nice (but expensive) cafe’s. The garden centre is very good (but again, pricey) and the glass house is a big highlight - especially when they release the butterflies at certain times of year. The new centre on top of hill is a nice educational addition. If you’re local membership is better value if you are visiting often.

I haven't visited since the makeover...what a transformation. Joined an excellent guided walk (no extra charge) and really enjoyed the late Autumn colours. The shop is now in full Christmas mode and almost overwhelming but great if you have time. Only reduced a star because the doors both sides of the café kept auto opening every time someone walked past. The food was delicious the two girls behind the counter must have been frozen but were both absolutely delightful and helpful, staying cheerful and made a stonking hot chocolate which we needed to ward the cold in the cafe off! Even enjoyed watching goldfinches on the teasels in the carpark.

It was good, but not the best lights ever. Im probably spoilt as we have done Longlete, Windsor and blenhiem.... But they made a great effort in the greenhouse and the lights on the lake matched the music well. We good night out.

A truly wonderful museum, the various historic racing cars from the circuit and the aircraft built there are fascinating. It was great to be able to board most of the aircraft and the volunteers were both very helpful and informative. A great cafe too. Excellent value.

​I recently visited Brooklands Museum for the first time, and I can honestly say it was a real eye-opener. I went expecting to see vintage cars and motor racing history, which is certainly abundant, but I hadn't realized the sheer depth of history tied to the site, especially its massive contribution to wartime activities. ​The most staggering revelation was discovering the parallel life of Brooklands during the wars, it was a critical hub for aircraft building, pilot training, and other essential production efforts. This blending of high-octane motorsport history with vital British engineering and defense makes the entire complex feel truly unique. Everywhere you look, the ground is steeped in history. ​It’s easy to walk past an exhibit, but at Brooklands, each item seems to have a bigger story with an even bigger person behind it. What makes it truly special is the working nature of the collection; it's amazing that most of the stuff still works, it starts and can be driven. ​Seeing the engineering that spans so long ago now is genuinely humbling. The ingenuity and sheer effort made by those engineers and workers are staggering, producing results that many of us struggle to understand even today. ​Furthermore, you can’t help but be astounded by the courage it must have taken to drive and fly some of these early creations. The museum beautifully illustrates how these massive efforts, from the earliest race drivers pushing speed limits to the pilots training on site, all lead us to where we are now in terms of technological development. ​With so much to see, the experience is incredibly rich. However, it's the absolutely wonderful staff that truly elevates the visit. They are happy to talk and explain things, sharing fascinating details about the exhibits, the people, and the history behind them. Their passion makes the stories come alive. ​All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day out. I didn't get around to seeing everything, so a return visit is definitely in order to continue the journey, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it. Brooklands is a must-visit for anyone interested in British transport, aviation, and engineering history.

Had a fabulous experience - very friendly staff, passionate and knowledgeable about their subject. Especially enjoyed visiting Concorde for the virtual flight. Enjoyed the bus museum as well, plus did a virtual drive in one of their F1 cars. A very good day out.

Wow what a museum! Highly recommend the Concorde experience, unforgettable experience and tour guide (Mike?) was brilliant - funny but full of interesting facts. Tons to see at the museum and so much history and heritage. Planes, cars, buses, motorbikes, jet engines, bombs. Ran out of time in the end so will be back!

Excellent museum, loads to see. Great displays of vintage racing cars and motorbikes. Several old airliners you can enter plus one of the few Concords. Inside the hangers are many vintage aircraft. Additionally there is a bus museum also included. Spent almost 4 hours inside.

What a brilliant museum. Exhibits are well looked after. While visiting the different sections which included bicycles racing cars and airplanes we meet some amazing informative volunteers.

Mercedes-Benz World is absolutely awesome and incredibly well organized! The place is packed with stunning cars — both classics and the latest models — and what’s even better is that you can get inside some of them and really feel what it’s like to be behind the wheel. The driving experience is top-notch — thrilling from start to finish! The instructor was super knowledgeable and made everything easy to understand while keeping the excitement alive. The cars themselves are unbelievably powerful — pure adrenaline from the moment you start driving. Overall, it was an amazing experience filled with fun, speed, and great energy. Totally recommend it to anyone who loves cars or just wants to try something unforgettable!

We went there to claim my son's birthday gift — a driving experience voucher. I was impressed with the organisation and professionalism of the sales assistants and, of course, the instructors. It was a great experience, and my son was over the moon! The only issue is that now he wants to go regularly... 😄 The museum itself isn’t huge — vintage cars on the ground floor, sport and modern cars on the first floor, and a simulator zone on the second. There’s a spectators’ area outside on the ground floor, but you get a much better view of the whole track from the top floor. While the museum is free to visit, there are charges for using the simulators and, of course, for the driving experiences. The museum is accessible, with a lift and disabled toilets. There’s also a nice coffee shop.

My daughter had an amazing time at the Young Driver Experience. She had so much fun and actually learned how to drive. The instructor was incredibly friendly, calm, and patient, which made the whole experience even better. Also Great Classic cars. Highly recommended!

Exceptional Experience and Customer Care! We had an amazing group day out at Mercedes-Benz World. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. The driving experiences were thrilling and perfectly organized — professional instructors made sure everyone felt safe and confident. Even the exhibits and simulators kept us entertained for hours. The customer service team handled our group booking efficiently and with genuine enthusiasm. Everything about the day felt premium and well thought out. Definitely a 10/10 experience — can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely brilliant! The museum itself is quite cool but the driving experience was so much fun. Jake was fantastic, super patient, easy going and I learnt a lot. Loved drifting on the skid pan and the insane acceleration runs. Track was pretty scary at some points but so much fun. Perfect day out.

I visited Mercedes-Benz World with my friends for a birthday outing. On arrival, we were greeted at the entrance and given directions, which made a nice first impression. We explored the building, watched an interesting short film about Mercedes’ history, and took plenty of photos — the place itself is really well-presented and full of impressive cars. We wanted to sit inside a few of the cars just to get a feel for them, so we asked the staff if that was possible. They directed us to another floor, but once we got there, we were told that the cars are only opened for potential customers. We were allowed to sit in any vehicles that were already unlocked, but those were mainly the more basic models. Eventually, we found an unlocked car and sat inside briefly, but soon after, a staff member told us that security was watching us and that if we damaged the vehicle, we’d be in trouble. That made us quite anxious — we hadn’t done anything wrong, just a group of 21-year-olds genuinely interested in the cars. Being told we were being watched by security felt uncomfortable and killed the vibe, so we decided to leave after that. Overall, it’s a great venue to see some amazing cars and learn about Mercedes’ history, but the experience would’ve been much better if visitors like us were made to feel a bit more welcome and trusted.

I had my birthday present here as a driving experience and I loved every minute of it! The food is great and not too pricy. I would definitely come here if you are interested in cars and motors and stuff.

I live in London, and visiting this city and this cathedral was one of the most beautiful experiences I had over the weekend. It was truly enjoyable. St Albans Cathedral is absolutely stunning — it feels like every wall and door has a story to tell, as if they’ve witnessed countless events over the centuries. The atmosphere is peaceful yet powerful, and walking through the cathedral felt like stepping into history. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves architecture, history, or simply beautiful places.

A magnificent architectural with loads of history and story. We visited in a weekday thus not crowded at all. You will be embraced by a deep sense of peace and afford to slow down to appreciate the view around you. Worth a visit together with the town.

The sheer scale of St Albans Cathedral, a structure of profound history and weight, provided the perfect canvas for the Poppy Fields light installation by Luxmuralis last night. It was more than an event; it was a deeply moving, sensory experience designed for quiet contemplation and remembrance. The massive, soaring architecture of the Nave, usually bathed in the soft glow of natural light or high electric lamps, was utterly transformed by darkness and vibrant digital projection.

This an absolutely stunning building dating originally from the Norman period but with additions over the centuries. The place was a pilgrimage site long before the Norman's arrived and the tomb of St Alban is still a pilgrimage site today. The cathedral possesses the longest nave of any cathedral in Britain and there are a number of medieval frescoes still visible; fascinating even if somewhat faded.

Being there you imagine that the place is nearly 1000!!!!! Years old. Some buildings were built from the Romans bricks. It is the oldest and one of the most significant church in England. This church saw everything. Besides that, town is beautiful, going there you should have enough time. It is hard to find the parking lot.

Absolutely enjoyed my visit. A stunning place that showcases its long history through a mix of architectural styles. I just loved every single detail, from the floor and columns to the ceiling.

Enjoyed our visit there. They have a free guided tour of the cathedral which runs for about an hour; I strongly recommend it. The entry is free too!

The snack shack where you buy the mini trains tickets has very cheap prices. The steam train is fun. We went on a weekend when they have extra mini trains running to cross to the beach side and back. The beach was crowded with screaming kids and the red flag means there are high levels of a snail parasite or something so the water makes your skin get itchy bumps. The forested area is quiet with nice paths. Nice picnic tables and easy access to get there by Central Line tube.

Decent if you want to go to the "beach" but not drive to the coast. Wouldn't swim in the waters but nice to relax and play around on land. There's a dog beach but not as nice, so bring a chair or blanket. When it got busy people came over here, including kids with footballs, which isn't fair on the dogs or their owners, especially dogs who are reactive to footballs, like ours. One dog owner didn't really do much when their dog was a bit more aggressive with other dogs. All the other owners were trying to get their dogs away but they didn't do anything to try and recall him. Food and drink is decently priced but the coffee was horrible. Expected the chicken and bacon baguette to be hot or toasted but it wasn't, though didn't say if it was (or i didn't read it). Very expensive parking for more than 3 hours at £17 but that's to be expected for this time of year (June). We arrived at 10am and car park still had loads of spaces but by 11am it was completely full, so go early. Mens toilets were disgusting though. Someone left a used nappy in a cubicle and another was blocked full of excrement. Don't know if there was anyone in duty to clean but absolutely horrible and disgusting way to leave a public space like this.

Want a serene walk or run? This is the place. It’s quiet, safe, scenic and peaceful. It’s dog-friendly, has toilets, a small beach, good crowd, playground and a beautiful walkway that goes around the lake.

Beautiful lido, to walk, run or just mope about in, with 2 cafes and restaurant within the area. Car park is a bit pricey for non hillingdon first card holders but definitely worth the visit. A lot of dog walkers use this area and nice steam train which runs around the lake. Can get very busy in summertime

As a whole a great place to visit and have done many times over the last 20+ years... I took my oldest children there when they were younger and now my youngest... And I have seen the changes made over the years ... The kids play area is looking weathered in need of a freshen up ... Afew teaks but generally a beautiful area with lots Todo

Visited Ruislip Lido on a number of times and it's never disappoint.The lake and sandy beach give it a real seaside feel. There’s a lovely walking trail around the lake — perfect for families, joggers, or anyone wanting a peaceful stroll. The kids loved the splash pad and playground, and the miniature railway ride. there is café and pub near the beach. Parking can get very busy, so try to arrive early, especially in good weather. Overall, a great place for a family day out or a quiet escape into nature.

I visited Ruislip Lido yesterday evening and was pleasantly surprised by this little escape in North London. The man-made beach has a charming, laid-back atmosphere, perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind. The walking promenade around the water is a highlight—peaceful, scenic, and ideal for a leisurely stroll as the sun sets. That said, the water itself wasn’t the clearest or most inviting—it lacked that bright blue appeal you might hope for, and a bit more attention to cleanliness (especially around the edges) would make a big difference. Still, the overall vibe was lovely, with people enjoying picnics, kids playing, and even a few brave souls dipping their toes in! The nearby café and mini-railway add to the fun, making it a great spot for a casual day out. With a little more care, Ruislip Lido could be even better—but even as it is, it’s a nice place to relax without leaving the city.

The Lower Playground near the paddling pools is best for younger children. 🍴 Food & Drink Cha Café (by the Hub): Independent café with sandwiches, cakes, kids’ lunch boxes, and good coffee. Gets busy at lunchtime, so earlier or later is best. Ice-cream vans and kiosks are dotted around the park. Plenty of picnic spots if you’d rather bring your own. 🌳 Walks & Extras Lovely riverside walks along the Grand Union Canal (just beyond the railway). Wide open spaces for ball games or frisbee. If you’ve time, stroll through the nature reserve area at the far end of the park—it’s quieter and great for spotting wildlife. 👉 A nice flow for your day could be: Morning: Playground + railway ride Lunch: Picnic or Cha Café Afternoon: Canal walk

This is such an amazing park, for people living around it’s a bliss. It is such a large and lovely place. Large tress with water bodies running canals gives a wholesome feel of forest and countryside.

Amazing and beautiful park for walks with your dog. It has a lot to offer not only to pet owners but also to parents or anyone who enjoys nature 2h free parking included but remember to take a ticket even for free period. There are at least 2 cafe points there, these are a bit pricey but they have good coffee.

The park is our lifeline. The cafes are fantastic so as the people. I feel relaxed and overwhelmed with natural feelings. We also enjoy the fireworks every year. It’s a great experience.

I recently visited Cassiobury Park for the Bake Fest event, and it was a really lovely experience. The park itself is beautiful — spacious, green, and well looked after, with plenty of room to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. The Bake Fest was a real highlight: so many stalls with delicious baked goods, as cakes and pastries. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and it felt like a great community event. Cassiobury Park is already a great place to spend time, whether for a walk, picnic, or just to relax outdoors, and events like Bake Fest make it even more special. I’d definitely recommend visiting, especially when something like this is happening!

Lovely and clean park. Good for running, walking your pets, or just chilling. Quiet and serene with lots of seating areas and a small play area for kids. There's also a canal there with a mini waterfall that looks nice.

It’s a great spot whether you’re looking for a quiet stroll, a family day out, or outdoor activities.

After waiting in a queue for more than 2 1/2 hours, just to get into the park, to then only get on 4 rides in 7 hours was a really big disappointment, especially after paying £40 for a ticket 🎟. To fast track 1 ride per person was an extra £16 each but was still no solid guarantee to be that much quicker in the mile long queues for rides, so unfortunately, my first, and no doubt, last ever visit to Thorpe Park, was massively disappointing to say the least. Bring on the day, a paying customers satisfaction and experience are prioritised over how much money 💰 they can make, and gladly take from us, each day.

The attraction was amazing. We went for fright night and the actors where so nice. Creature campus looked after my niece for me when I went on a ride with my boys because she wasnt feeling up to it and sung happy birthday to her which made her feel so happy to be there. I really recommend coming its a great day out with the family and definitely come for fright night. The food was amazing 100% recommend food. Staff was great. Actors amazing. Survival games scare maze breathe takingly amazing although sometimes you do get split up from the group. We went on a Thursday so it wasn't as busy and the ride queues weren't really long. The actors remembered my niece all through the night and everytime we saw them they would say hello. Also Connie and rattlesnack and all the Frank's are so wonderful and nice. My niece's name is bethany.

Visited on Sunday, 2 November 2025 and had a great day overall. The atmosphere and theming were brilliant. Hyperia was stunning, though both my friend and I (in our thirties) had neck pain after one ride and ended up taking paracetamol, so it might be worth reviewing comfort. One staff member at the curry outlet was unnecessarily rude when I asked her to repeat herself, which took the shine off things. The small Stranger Things shed looked amazing - I would love to see that expanded into a full attraction in the future!

Queues were pretty crazy, 1 hour just to get in! 1 hour minimum for a ride, 2 hours+ for hyperia, if you didn't have a fast pass. Was impressed with the vegan options for food though! Also there are quite a few electric charging points in the car park, which are compatible with the octopus electroverse cars

An amazing theme park, compact and easy to get around, so many extreme rides. Great for teenagers and up, no so for little ones. But be prepared for very long queues if you go on a weekend and in the holidays... try not to, pull a sick day and go in the week! 😅

First time doing fright night at any of the parks. Great atmosphere, decent scare mazes, and riding rollercoasters in the dark was my favourite theme park experience ever. Well worth the money considering the extended opening times.

Thorpe Park is built for thrill seekers. Adult tickets bought in advance start at around thirty-three pounds, but if you pay on the day the price can jump to about sixty-six, so planning ahead makes a real difference. The park is always busy, especially on weekends and school holidays, and while the atmosphere is energetic and lively, the crowds also mean queues can stretch for a long time on the most popular rides!! The rides themselves are the main draw and they don’t disappoint. Hyperia, the new record-breaking coaster, is a breathtaking mix of speed and airtime, while Stealth launches you from zero to motorway speeds in under two seconds. The Swarm twists and dives with enough inversions to leave you grinning or disoriented, and Colossus still holds its charm with ten back-to-back loops, even if it’s a little rougher than newer designs. Water rides like Tidal Wave break things up nicely and are especially refreshing in summer, though almost every major attraction demands patience in the queues. Food inside the park is a mixed experience: there’s plenty of choice, from pizza and wraps to fish and chips, but prices are predictably high, with meals ranging from seven to twenty pounds and more premium sit-down options at the hotel restaurant going higher still. Quality varies but is usually decent, and bringing a few snacks or a refillable water bottle can save money. By the time you leave, tired and likely a little lighter in the wallet, the buzz of the rides and the sheer adrenaline rush usually make the day feel worth it — it’s an experience that delivers thrills in abundance, even if it comes at a price. Far too scary for me .

The Battle of Britain Bunker in Uxbridge is a profoundly moving and meticulously preserved piece of British wartime history. The highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the underground operations bunker, which was the nerve centre for No. 11 Group RAF during the Battle of Britain. Located 60 feet below ground, the bunker was built in the late 1930s and played a pivotal role in the coordination of fighter aircraft during some of the most intense air battles of the Second World War. It is here that Air Vice-Marshal Keith Park and his team directed RAF squadrons during critical engagements, including 15 September 1940, now commemorated as Battle of Britain Day. Even Winston Churchill observed operations from this very room, famously declaring, “Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.” The operations room has been painstakingly restored to its wartime configuration, with the original plotting table, clock, coloured lights, and wall maps all recreated or preserved to extraordinary effect. Visitors get a real sense of the pressure, coordination, and teamwork that went into every radar report and fighter dispatch. Period sounds and commentary complete the experience, offering a chillingly realistic insight into the 24-hour operations that took place here. Access to the bunker is by guided tour only, which is a real strength of the experience. The guides—many of whom are veterans or passionate historians—bring the space to life with personal stories, strategic explanations, and poignant details about the individuals who worked there under immense pressure. The descent into the bunker itself is via a long staircase, adding to the atmosphere of secrecy and security. While the stairs might be a challenge for some, the team is very accommodating and can offer alternatives if needed. Combined with the excellent modern visitor centre and museum above ground, the bunker tour is a powerful, evocative, and educational journey into one of the most critical chapters of Britain’s wartime defence. Whether you're a history enthusiast or a casual visitor, it’s an unforgettable experience.

A hidden gem in the suburbs of Uxbridge. Guided tours of the bunker ops room are very informative and offer a glimpse back in time before everything being run through a computer screen. Excellent museum explaining the history of the place and the Dowding system. Nice cafe and gift shop. Plenty of free parking. Brilliant!!

Probably the most interesting museum i have ever visited! To sit in the place where one of the most important battles in British history was commanded from was an immense feeling. The interactive tote board was amazing and the tour guides were friendly and very knowledgeable.

An excellent exhibition museum with highly engaging guides. The Battle of Britain scenario was really well depicted in the ops rooms in the underground bunker. The modern museum above ground has many down to earth picture and audio descriptions explaining the realities of war for those engaged with this secret work controlling GBs air defense system that undoubtedly staved off an invasion. The museum is light and airy with a good cafe if you need a rest bite during your visit.

I highly recommend the tour/talk of the bunker to really understand how the defence system in 1940 worked. You go in thinking spitfires were just scrambled on enemy sightings but this operational command centre quickly puts things into perspective. The pressure the people that worked here must have been under, making life and death decisions based on rather crude (but seemingly effective) systems, still feels incredible to experience in a way all these years later. Even better, Winston Churchill himself was here on 15th September 1940 to witness that critical day in British & world history!

Great museum, really friendly, knowledgeable staff and a really great day out. This has to be one of the best WW2 sites/museums to visit in the UK; being the actual bunker were RAF Fighter Command was directed from. In 1940, the nerve centre of the world's first fully integrated air defence system. Neither Germany, Poland, Russia, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland or anyone else had anything so advanced. A great tribute to whose who made it happen!

Amazing place! Its been many years since I was last there and its nice that more things have been added in that time. Went during the dark arts time and was fun to see the death eather preforming at different locations around the studio. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys Harry Potter! The lay out is brilliant and just getting to see how it was all made is amazing.

Where do I start! Absolutely amazing experience. A must visit for all the potter heads out there. Being a core fan of the book, the movie sets was truly a visual treat. I visited during the Dark Arts theme right after Halloween. The entire tour looked like a carefully planned adventure. The atmosphere felt do lively - kudos to the employees and the guides. A kind employee even took my picture (I was on a solo trip!). I saw the butter beer had mixed reviews. But I personally devoured it. It was refreshing after a long walk. Food was alright, not a fan of the unsalted fries. Some spaces did feel a bit rushed, specially people pushing and hovering around impatiently. Could see the kids engaging a lot with the sets. The photo booths are cute, however felt like a rip-off to have a poster print for £20! Considering the high turnaround rate, they could reduce the price. The broom videos looked a bit tacky but would be a fun try out for kids. Loved the small performance by the Death Eaters who kindly let us take pictures together! Cried myself through the pricey souvenirs, but the butter beer packs were a steal! For folks who can’t find the tickets during the holidays, keep checking every single day twice. I got mine on a random day check, and snagged it right away! They were kind enough to swap me to a different slot (which I found again), without additional charges! Overall worth every penny!

We had arranged a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio for our daughter’s birthday, as she’s crazy about Harry Potter. We were greeted by Menaka at the ticket collection counter. She was incredible!! 😃 Super friendly and charismatic in every way, and a true potterhead too! Our daughter was fully engaged in conversation with Menaka who shared all the wonderful things to look out for whilst on the tour. We gained tips on how to manage our time during the tour, which took 5 hours in total, including a break at the Butterbeer Bar. Menaka also gave our girl a birthday badge and several other goodies, which truly delighted her. We were amazed by the genuine kindness shown to make our daughter feel special 💓 We had arrived over an hour earlier than our scheduled tour time, so Menaka encouraged us to enjoy lunch in the Food Hall. We loved it! All dishes were very tasty and generous in portion, so we were fully prepared for the grand tour 🤩 As a birthday girl, our daughter was given the special privilege to open the door to Hogwarts! 🎉 From then on, the tour was outstanding. Spectacular sets, fun green screen experience and entertaining death eater performances. Beware of the Dementors and Acromantulas in the forbidden forest! 😨 Overall, a superb day out made extra special by all staff members, though Menaka was our favourite!! 🌟

Went on the small group tour. We were meant to skip queues but we didn't skip the queue we just skipped the bit we were going to see. But it was still worth it to get all the amazing little facts that the guide gave us. We went when it was hogwarts in winter. The food here is super expensive! You can take tour own food but i felt like it was part of the experience so just went with it. Remember to get your free passport so you can get your stamps as you go round 👍 The tour was 4hrs with a 1hr break. We went back in so in total spent 6hrs there and definitely could have spent longer. Take your time and make sure you make the most out of the full day.

We visited on a weekend, expecting it to be busy, but boy were we surprised at exactly how busy it was going to be. After a fair bit of queuing and somewhat rude security personnel at the bag check, we finally got through! The whole complex is huge and be prepared for a lot of time walking, standing and walking some more (reminded me of Disneyland) to get anywhere. However, it is really worth it once you can get over this and that is speaking as someone who isn't a huge HP fan. The work on display is amazing and the attention to detail so very impressive. The displays are well thought out, but do make sure you can stomach the high price of food and gifts!

Make sure you book tickets in advance, as the are sold out very quickly. The amazing world created by J.K Roling and later by Warner Brothers studios, before advenced digital effects technologies were widely available - is truly amazing. It is definitely one of the MUST VISIT places when you are in London or around. You will LOVE it.

I had a wonderful day at Whipsnade zoo today. Highlights of the day were the brown bear, elephants, rhino’s, giraffes and the birds of the world show. Didn’t see the lynx which was a shame. Didn’t see a lion only a lioness and some cubs. 1 star lost because the tigers enclosure seemed really small and the tiger looked sad pacing around the enclosure. I also felt sad for the chimpanzee who seemed like it was having fun and was very entertaining but again enclosure felt small. Park could also do with more signage to help navigate the way around as although map on the app is good would still be good to have more signage as the grounds are huge and easy to take a wrong path. I also went on the steam train which was £5 for adults but I wouldn’t go on it again. Very big ground with loads of viewpoints and lots of walking however lots of places to sit along the way and plenty of small shops providing snacks and some provide food like hotdogs at £8.50 a pop. I much prefer this zoo to London zoo, I feel like you have better sight of the animals in comparison. One other perk about this zoo is that you can drive around the grounds with an additional fee. There is also free parking with easy access to the zoo. There is also an app with a live moving map which helps you navigate around the park very good.

We had a wonderful day out with the family. It’s a large venue, so comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Families with young children may find a buggy useful, as there’s plenty of ground to cover. Visitors can bring their own packed lunch or enjoy the selection of cafés and restaurants available throughout the site and near the entrance.

First time visiting, absolutely loved it, an amazing day. The enclosures were lovely and spacious, all areas lovely and clean, staff we spoke to were so helpful. We had afternoon tea at view point, which was lovely and the staff really friendly. The day was just brilliant, would highly recommend a visit.

Had a fantastic time visiting whipsnade zoo .. travelled all the way from North Wales.. Easy to find and access ♿ parking was just great for my wife. So much to see and do here for the whole family.. Loved seeing how much open area the animals had to enjoy compared with other zoos.. The zoo covers quite an area.. and it can be explored many ways..foot. train..or by car... Yes if mobility is an issue like my wife it can still be easily explored.. We seen a bus going around..sign simply said..Hail bus driver to stop..jump on a train which was around £5 .. Otherwise drive the car around and stop and explore where you want.. plenty of parking on the side of the road... please drive safely!!.. There is part of the zoo where you can only explore by car or taking the train.. Feels like your on safari.. amazing time When we visited they were giving the flamingo's a health check.. you were invited to ask anything you wanted.. Fantastic interactive experience Cafés , toilets and picnic areas are ample and dotted around the park.. Gift shop as like most places near the exit... Would love to visit again in the future as one visit is simply not enough to see and enjoy everything whipsnade has to offer...

Whipsnade Zoo is in a beautiful location of Dunstable Downs, there is a free car park off site and charge for car to enter, blue badges are free, you can drive around the whole park and there is parking spots at each area of the Zoo so you can view the animals at safe distance. It’s a favourite Zoo of mine due to care of the animals and the enclosures are well maintained. If you visit now you may find parts of the Zoo is being improved and some enclosures updated and cleaned, so some of the animals are relocated, the kangaroos are free roaming the zoo and can be approached but best respect nature. The only part of the experience that requires the most improvement is the toilets most are not regularly cleaned or look clean, the restaurants and food vendors do not offer quality food, the sandwiches were not that appetising and the hotdogs were served in baguette, I didn’t understand the combo nor did my palate. Not that they need a fast food chain there but better menu of food and quality would justify the insane prices like £2 for a bag of crisps. Overall I still recommend this as a great family day out but bring your own lunches and snacks.

THE BUS IS BRILLIANT! Whipsnade is an awesome zoo but the bus service elevates the experience even further! Lots of walking and make sure you dress warmly, but if you get tired legs then the bus is perfect. Can't fault it. Such a friendly driver (Gary) and they come round every 20 mins. Thank you so much

This zoo is possibly one of my favorite ones I have been to. The animals have so much space and the possibility to just hide away if that is what they want. We were there on a cloudy temperate day that made the animals more active so we got to see a lot of them. We saw the penguin talk and the bird show, both are very much recommended, but especially the bird show was super well done and very enriching. I have been about 5 times the last ten years and every time has been a great experience.
