Visited this farm back in April and it was a wonderful experience, so beautiful seeing so many tulips of different species. It's a huge field full of plants. There is a shop and stalls selling drinks and food. The only negative aspect it's a very touristy attraction so it was a bit crowded. We visited during the weekend maybe during the week is better. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place that takes you back to the life story of Charles Darwin. Developments, ideas and theories are impeccable, contribution to our current life is priceless. I think every person should visit this wonderful estate and breathe in the spirit of history. By the way, the territory is quite large. there is a beautiful garden. If you visit this place in the spring, you can enjoy the smell of blooming cherries and apple trees. Visiting greenhouses with incredible species of plants that were discovered many years ago is very exciting. You can also take a break in a cozy cafe with a cup of coffee.

A lovely little animal farm in the village of Downe in Orpington. Entry tickets are GBP6 for adults and GBP4 for children between the age of 2 and 16. You can buy the feeding bucket too and it's great fun to feed the animals for both kids and adults alike. They have lamb, sheep, goat, alpaca, donkeys, cows, rheas, chicken and rabbits etc. The farm is situated on a narrow country road and offers free parking. They have a nice cafe and a clean washing area outside. Friendly staff

Big Ben Tour – Inside the Elizabeth Tower Visiting the Elizabeth Tower might just be one of the best things you can do in London. Getting tickets, however, is the real challenge — plan ahead and try to book about six months in advance, checking the website regularly. No photos are allowed inside, which is a bit of a shame, but completely understandable. The climb is 334 steps up a narrow spiral staircase with just a simple metal railing, so this is not an experience for those with mobility issues or severe fear of heights. The first stretch is about 110 steps, with the rest broken into slightly shorter climbs and two rest stops along the way. Windows are few and far between, so you won’t have many chances to look outside during the climb. At the top, you’ll visit the belfry and see the Great Bell — Big Ben itself — up close. You’ll be there as the clock strikes the hour, with protective ear coverings provided to save your hearing from the thunderous chimes. You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at the clock mechanism and stand behind the famous clock faces before beginning the descent, which is once again split into sections with rest stops. Lockers are provided for your belongings, as nothing may be carried with you, and open-toed shoes are not allowed. The guides are fantastic — full of history, fun facts, and fascinating details about the tower and its clock. In the end, this is an unforgettable tour: fun, educational, a little bit challenging, and absolutely worth every step.

I had a great time attending Buckingham palace! The grounds were stunning and I even got to see a short performance from the guards. The landscaping and fountains were the highlight for me. The self-guided tour inside was great too. Buy your ticket in advance to pick your preferred time.

Tower Bridge is absolutely stunning! One of the best spots to visit in London — the views of the River Thames are amazing. The exhibition is interesting and gives a good idea of how the bridge works. Everything was clean and well-managed. Definitely a must-visit when you’re in London!

A beautiful and inspiring place. The collection is world-class — from Renaissance masters to Impressionists — and it’s amazing that entry is free. The galleries are spacious and well organized, with helpful information about each painting. I also appreciated the quiet spots where you can just sit and enjoy the art. It can get busy in popular rooms, but overall it’s an unforgettable visit for any art lover.

Amazing! This was one of my favorite tours while in london. We bought our tickets which cost about $48. Place was packed. There is a cafe and a small gift shop inside, bathrooms of course. I would plan on spending at least 2 hours here if not 3. And then of course there's the crown jewels that speak for themselves. So much history here and so much to see I loved everything about this!

Absolutely wonderful place to visit. We only had very limited time in London but this was somewhere we wanted to visit as we wanted to keep our costs low. The museum is free to enter but donations are welcomed. Firstly, the place is enormous. Various exhibitions are available with literally hundreds of things to look at, probably even thousands. It goes without saying that the place is very popular and often very busy so if you don't like crowds, do some research about your visit before you go. We spent a lot of time looking at the Egyptian exhibitions as my wife is very interested in that particular part of history but we did also wander around the Greek, Roman and middle Eastern parts as well. Both of us agreed that we would come back to visit but would definitely spend a whole day there as we felt rushed. There are places to grab a drink and a snack inside the museum as well, which is very welcome. It is worth noting that while backpacks are allowed, luggage is not. The shops nearby do offer a luggage storage solution.

We had so much fun here! It’s not just wax figures; the Star Wars and Marvel sections are amazing, and the 4D cinema was a great bonus. The 'Spirit of London' taxi ride was a total surprise and really enjoyable. Great for selfies and a good laugh. Definitely book online to save money!

We visited Old MacDonald’s Farm with our two children (aged 4 and 2), and it was such a fantastic day out! The last time we came was just before my son turned one, and he was a little too young to appreciate the full experience, so I can honestly say the experience this time was so much better. Both kids absolutely loved the rides – which I think is one of the best things about this farm. You don’t just get to see and interact with the animals (which they also enjoyed), but there are so many rides (some of which are even suitable for babies) and outdoor play areas that kept them fully engaged. It really does offer something for everyone. There were plenty of opportunities to meet the animals (we did the rabbit encounter), and we were lucky to catch the summer circus too – my children really enjoyed that. The staff stood out as well; everyone we met was so kind and friendly, which made the experience even nicer. On top of that, there are indoor soft play areas for rainy days, but we had sunny, warm weather so the kids made the most of the outdoor climbing frames and slides. We visited from 10am until 3pm, but honestly, you could easily spend the whole day here until closing. My tip would be to arrive early: start with the animals and then move on to the rides once they open at 11am. A brilliant family day out – we’ll definitely be back!

I found the visit to be immensely enjoyable. The price of admission was reasonable, although I would recommend taking some cash as there are drinks in certain places that you can buy. If you are interested in photography, be aware that there is a waiver to sign and a £5 charge. I am OK with this, especially as I am not a commercial photographer, but do note it. The audio wands are helpful and informative and there is a wealth of useful information provided. I took a good few hours going through and I would not mind coming again.

Lee Valley White Water Centre is an absolutely fantastic destination for water adventure lovers! We went for white water rafting, and the experience was thrilling from start to finish. The staff are well-trained, friendly, and make sure everyone stays safe while having fun. They also offer great membership options for regular users – perfect if you’re planning to go often. We noticed some excellent offers for families and friends, making it more affordable to enjoy as a group. It’s also a brilliant place to celebrate birthday parties, especially for teens or adults who love an adrenaline rush. The facilities are clean, well-organised, and there’s even a nice café on-site for relaxing after your adventure. Highly recommended for a fun-filled and energetic day out! 💦🚣‍♂️

Another great day out, there was plenty to see and do. All the animals looked well cared for and fed. It was amazing how close you felt you were to some of animals. Including the lions and the sun bear. The glass so clean it was like it wasn't there. The shops were responsibly priced and depending on your budget they had plenty to choose from. The food was nice and was a generous portion. Overall we had an amazing day would I would happily return.

The route from the airport is well signed, so it is easy to reach the train. The trains run every 10 minutes. All the trains I used were clean, and the seats were comfortable. It is a ride of half an hour from Stansted Airport to London—it depends on where you want to go. Liverpool Station, where I used to leave the train, was crowded, but I found my way out easily.

The park is a beautiful and serene spot, perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities. Its wide-open sky creates a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for a leisurely stroll or simply unwinding. The park offers excellent cycling facilities, making it a popular choice for both casual and avid cyclists. A well-maintained playing area provides a safe and fun space for children to enjoy. The on-site cafeteria serves a variety of tasty options, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Clean paths, ample seating, and thoughtfully designed green spaces make it an inviting destination for families, fitness enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike.

VISIT DATE: SAT 16/08/2025 VISIT TIME: 13:45 - 18:00 Visited with my 6 year old daughter and my Mum, but didn’t arrive till the afternoon, which was a shame as there is so much to see. I have been to Audley End in the past, but it has been a long time, so I couldn’t remember much of the site. The house itself is lovely, full of wonderful paintings and objects of interest, through less so foot a 6-year old, with the exception of the nursery which features clothes to dress up in and toys and games that would have been played by the children of the house. My daughter was disappointed to find she is too big to ride the rocking horse, but she enjoyed stroking its mane. Outside there is a beautiful parterre garden and lovely grounds to explore, featuring lots of accessible paths, with tree lined sections and hidden gems around the lake. There is a service wing next to the main house, which has a lovely cafe for visitors (and toilets, including accessible ones), as well as the main shop and visitor centre. A short walk away you will find the stable block, which has interesting exhibitions to look at, as well as the children’s shop (where you can collect your English Heritage pop badge), then you can walk through the kitchen gardens, which were full of flowers, fruit and vegetables at the time of our visit, making it an absolute delight to see. You can also then go to the court yard play area, where there is another, smaller cafe and more toilets. There are generally activities for children to take part in on the lawn, but as we visited during the summer holidays we were also able to take part in the Taskmaster games which were being held at a number of EH sites during the summer of 2025. This provided an extra level of fun. Overall, Audley End House and Gardens is a fantastic place to visit, especially in the summer. There were a good number of visitors, but it never felt crowded and we were able toto move around the house and grounds at our leisure. I would definitely recommend visiting and suggest you get there earlier to really make the most of your visit. Free entry for EH members, £22 for adults.

Fantastic place to visit, plenty to see and discover. Some amazing exhibits, the American Museum was particularly impressive. If you’re lucky then you might get to see something old get airborne. I was fortunate to visit the day after a big Airshow so there were a few visiting aircraft still there. £30 sounds a lot but you can easily spend a whole day here so really it’s great value for money. Food not cheap but it never is at places like this, though plenty of outdoors seating if you bring your own.

We love botanical gardens when we travel. This is my highest recommendation for a visit. The atmosphere and garden itself is emasculate, beautiful and pristine. One of the best £8 you could spend for a day or even hour stop. Nice staff, good food, well maintained. Would definitely go back, you can get lost in the vast beauty of each section for hours!

Visiting the Museum right as it opened was a fantastic idea. We had many of the galleries to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. The collection is incredibly diverse, spanning from ancient Egyptian artifacts to masterpieces by famous painters. The building itself is a work of art, and it's a great place to spend a few hours exploring history and culture. Best of all, it's free to enter!

King’s College Chapel is a breathtaking masterpiece of Gothic architecture and one of the most iconic landmarks in Cambridge. I absolutely love visiting this place time and again. It's small yet beautiful & peaceful place to be around with a loved ones. A long river walk in the morning, hiring boat, canoeing then going around the cannal, enjoying Coffee and cakes at the tea house and the children loved to swim around the pond. I highly recommend this beautiful place to visit once in your lifetime.

Stayed overnight here and it was amazing. We went both days and we were really glad to catch the birds again in the morning. Because we stayed overnight our entrance was free. Really fun, different and reasonably priced getaway. It’s also a lovely charity where their genuine care for the birds is apparent.

Not only can you get Tourists Information here but you can take a tour of Oliver Cromwell’s home. This is why we stopped by to tour the home. The cost is £7.50 per person which seems a bit pricey for the building size. It will take a little less than an hour to do the entire self tour. However what you learn about William makes up for it. You will get a hand speaker so you can hear about each part of the house. They did a very thorough job of explaining the man. You will learn that the changes he made to the country during his time were tremendous. Good or bad is up to your interpretation. They do have a store to get some souvenirs or other knick knacks. Side Note: If interested, see his statue outside of the Palace of Westminster (UK Parliament) that is facing towards Westminister Abbey in London.
