First visit here today. Lovely weather. We found it to be very peaceful as it wasn't busy. The gardens are lovely to walk around and not extensive so you can explore all the garden and do the 0.6 mile walk in an hour. This was perfect for my elderly dog. The tour of the house was really interesting. Our guide was excellent. The cafe is currently closed but there is a cafe van outside the front of the house that does drinks, sandwiches, ice cream and cakes. A wonderful, peaceful day out. As always, the NT staff are very nice.

As a dedicated fan of Jane Austen I have wanted to visit the Jane Austen house for quite some time. I was able to do so today and it was so wonderful. The staff are present to answer questions and are so helpful. They enjoy your own excitement. The home has been beautifully restored and includes so many items of Jane's. It was a joy to see the table where she wrote her novels. I leaned out the window that she probably leaned out of once upon a time. The grounds are lovely to explore as well. It was amazing to see first editions of all of her books!

I was in the area for business travel and decided to drop by to check out this park because my kids love dinosaurs and I seen they had a dinosaur area. I was not disappointed at all with the entire park. To enter the park you have to pay a fee.... It was about $25 US which is normal for most amusemant park like this one. They had great play structures/parks within the park that included wooden jungle gyms, metal slides and swings. Kids would have a blast climbing and running around! There is also this giant inflated balloon that kids can climb on and bounce on that is surrounded by sand in case a little one falls off. It stands about 5ft off the ground and the kids I seen were having a blast jumping and rolling off of it. There is a giant wooden ship which was pretty cool too. There is also a little feeding anima farm! In the middle of the park is a large lake. Lots of birds and I guess you can also fish there too. Seen a guy fishing for carp. Unsure if it's good fishing though buy hey, give it a try. There is a dirt path around that lake which brings you to the other side of the park where they have more play structures and the dinosaur exhibit area. There are approximately 20 fake dinosaurs along with a little informational piece about each one. If you have little ones, they could easily be scared because they have their teeth showing and don't don't look friendly but hey, that's a dinosaur for ya. They have sounds playing as you walk through to add to the experience which was cool. Definitely would take my kids. As you make your way around there is a splash pad for those hot days when the kids want to play in water along with another play park and slides next to it. There are also some hiking trails within the park as you first enter that I didn't get a chance to do but they say allow for an hour depending on which trail you decide to do. Cool park with cafes, sweet treats, and of course souvenirs to take home. Enjoy!

I was kindly treated to two nights at Chiltern Valley Winery and Brewery for my birthday. We stayed in the Pool House room, which is right by a pool, hot tub and sauna. These facilities are exclusively for the use of the pool House guests, so you can enjoy some privacy and don't get disturbed by other guests coming and going. The room is well appointed, with an ensuite bath/shower room, and views directly onto the vineyard catching the morning sun. Breakfast was included and done very well, with the option of a full English. The wine tour and tasting lasted about 2 hours, taking you on a tour of the vineyard and winery/brewery facilities, finished off with a tasting of some of their wines, beers and liqueurs. Very enjoyable indeed! They have a deal with a local pub for dinner, which includes a taxi ride there and back (about a 5-10 minute drive to Hambledon village). The menu was excellent and well worth it. We both cycle and enjoyed the excellent cycling in spectacular scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the winery and hope to go back at some point. It's a bit more to stay in the Pool House compared with the main house rooms, but worth it if you enjoy the facilities it offers.

Fabulous place! I was amazed on the size, architecture and furnishings as well as the collections inside. The surrounding are is also beautiful and it’s gardens were nice too. It’s easily accessible and also offer bus ride to the house from the car park. Staff were very friendly and everything was clean and top notch. I would highly recommend a visit as there’s a lot to see. Might recommend spending a few hours to truly appreciate all of that is to see.

Beautiful National Trust property. Unusual as downstairs the rooms were more formal but upstairs very personalised by last owners who only moved out to another wing late last century. As usual, the volunteers were fantastic, tea room split over a number of rooms. Small gardens but large parklands to walk through. Definitely worth a visit.

Went for my birthday as I love animals! The last time I went was when I was a young child. I Was really happy to see the penguins were still there, and I got to see the monkeys, snow leopard, lemurs and some beautiful birds. Sadly wasn't able to see the sloth or the tiger. Staff were very kind, and generally the place is accessibility friendly.

Winchester Cathedral is a must see when visiting the city. It is the longest Gothic cathedral in Europe with stunning Norman and Gothic architecture. We took the free one hour tour which was amazing, the guide covered all the key spots and shared great stories. After the tour you can explore freely and take pictures. Whether you’re into history, architecture, or just want a peaceful place to visit, the cathedral has something for everyone.

This by far is my favourite tour of any distillery I’ve ever been on. The tour begins with collecting a gin glass & filling with a sample of Bombay Sapphire gin & then mixing with tonic. You get to sip & enjoy this whilst watching a film on the origins of Bombay Sapphire gin making. The screen goes up & the doors open on to the area outback with the greenhouses & distillation buildings. You receive some more information about the stills & gin production before being able to go inside the greenhouses. Then it’s on to look at the stills & see the ingredients used in the making of the gin. Once the tour has concluded you a free to buy & enjoy a gin at the bar area & visit the gift shop. I would highly recommend this tour whether you are a gin lover or not. It’s very informative with plenty to take in.

About Ghost Musical The musical Ghost is a spectacular adaptation of the classic 90s film, successfully bringing all the emotion and magic of the original story to the stage. One of the production's greatest highlights is the special effects, which amaze the audience by bringing iconic scenes to life, such as ghosts passing through walls. The set design also deserves high praise, as it is dynamic and well-planned, allowing for quick scene changes without compromising the flow of the narrative. The transition between scenes happens naturally and harmoniously, providing complete immersion in the plot. Furthermore, the engaging soundtrack enhances the emotional atmosphere of the show, making each moment even more remarkable. The actors' performances are another strong point of the production. The lead couple has convincing chemistry, making the audience connect with and be moved by their story. Special mention should also be made of the supporting characters, who bring energy and humor to the show, ensuring a balance between drama and good laughs. The adaptation of the story for the theater was done intelligently. The scenes were well-adjusted for the stage. However, one negative aspect worth mentioning is the portrayal of the main character's murderer as Latin American. This detail may reinforce negative stereotypes and fuel prejudice against immigrants, which is an unfortunate choice in a society that already faces challenges related to discrimination. Despite this drawback, Ghost is an emotional and technically impressive musical that is well worth watching.

Today, we visited Highclere Castle, the place most famous for being the setting of Downton Abbey. I highly recommend this place for adults, but there isn’t much for children to do. The gardens are beautiful and well kept, considering the dry weather we have had. We purchased online the tour of the house, the Egyptian exhibition, and afternoon tea. The house is beautiful, but since there are only stairs and no lift, it can be difficult for people with mobility issues. Our hosts and guides were well informed and friendly. Letting people in small groups was a great idea, as some rooms and corridors are a bit cramped but still wonderful to see. It was nice to see all the pictures of our late Queen Elizabeth and her family on the sideboards and furniture around the house. The Egyptian exhibition was fantastic, and the artifacts are fascinating to see, as was the reproduction of Tutankhamun's treasures. Now for afternoon tea. The staff in the tea room are just wonderful, polite and very helpful, even taking pictures of those seated for Tea. The food was as I would expect in a stately home, rich, tasty, and more than enough. We had a fantastic day. Thank you!

Legendary & Iconic College For Harry Potter fans this is the place. Anyone wants to have breakfast in the Great Hall ? See the turning staircases? Here you will see where JK R. got a lot of her inspiration from, it is well worth your time. Obviously there are lots of tourists & HP fans but still well worth the visit. Here you have a few options but we choose the self guided tour. It was very good as it allows you to go at your own pace and skip some less interesting parts or stay longer in others. This is a must do visit for all Harry Potter fans. Note it also has one of the nicest Cathedrals in all the Oxford colleges which by itself is worth the visit. Highly recommended from us!

Entry to the museum is free. The museum is multi-story (5 floors). It contains artifacts from ancient and modern times and from all past and present civilizations. The museum is enjoyable to spend time in and gain knowledge about past civilizations and take science, knowledge and lessons from them. If you get tired, you can take a break in the museum café located in the basement or the museum restaurant located on the fourth floor. Visiting the museum is enjoyable and culturally rich.

Coming from Canada this was a big part of our trip for our child and the park didn't let down. Cleanliness seemed as a top priority and all the staff experiences were pleasant. Food was decent and priced as you would think an amusement park would. Bathrooms and smoking areas available across the park. The Peppa Pig portion is where we spent most of our day and it was well kept and looked up to date.

We pre-booked our tickets for a Saturday and arrived just as the car park opened at 10am. The short walk from the car park to the palace was lovely, setting the tone for the day ahead. Our first stop was the shops, where we treated ourselves to some chocolate… the white Montezuma in particular was absolutely delicious and worth recommending. Next, we headed up for the Rooftop Experience, which was fantastic. The views were spectacular, and the slightly bouncy stairs added an unexpected bit of fun! After that, we explored the palace interiors. Although some internal maintenance and restoration work is underway, it was well hidden and didn’t detract from the visit. We then enjoyed the Winston Churchill experience, which was fascinating and well presented, before moving on to the gardens. The grounds were stunning… beautifully kept and a real highlight of the day. To finish, we took the buggy tour around the estate, which was another fantastic experience and gave us a chance to appreciate the size and beauty of the parkland. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Blenheim Palace for a full and varied day out.

Owl 🦉 Experience Review: Just WOW! 🤩 As a bird lover, I was always going to love this experience, but it exceeded my expectations. 😲 The professionalism, knowledge and expertise of the staff AND volunteers is incredible. As a group of 6, we met and flew 6 birds, who were all amazing and fascinating in their own way. Seeing their different personalities was so interesting too. These experiences are of course not cheap and are a real treat [birthday vouchers for my Dad in out case] but my goodness it was worth it. In addition, clean facilities, lovely restaurant and shop. Amazing experience and day out! Thank you 💖

What a perfect day spent at the very pretty Hook Norton, and Hook Norton Brewery Tour. Really good value, mega interesting, the history of the family, place and the process of brewing this gorgeous beer, established 1849. At the end of the tour you get to taste a few of the Hooky tipples and receive a complimentary Hook Norton Brewery glass. Lovely touch. Special shout out for David, our exceptionally knowledgeable tour guide. Great fun. And of course visiting the well looked after Shire Horses, who still deliver beer to the local pubs, just like in the old days! Finished off tour with a lovely lunch in the Brewery restaurant, and wander around the shop where of course we just had to buy some Hooky beer to take home with us. Great free museum by the way. The staff are super happy and friendly. Maybe it’s the beer🤔

We parked withput charge, in a small layby next to the lane off the main road opposite the Harvester. We didn't pay to go into the central area but thoroughly enjoyed exploring and finding out more about this fascinating ancient monument. Excellent interpretation panels and fantastic views. Photos don't do the size, scale and magnitude of the earthworks justice.

Brilliant place to visit. So steeped in history and mythology and the Heritage site has so much more than just the standing stones. The history is fascinating and the Exhibition centre does a great job at explaining the evolution of this Neolithic site. Fascinating to think the Megalithic temples in Malta predated Stonehenge by 1000 years and the Great Pyramids hailed from the same era! The bus to the stones and back run every 5 mins ( if you’ve bought the experience ticket) but you can walk to the stones in about 20 mins from the visitor centre. The stones themselves are magnificent and worthy of at least a couple of circuits around to take them in, appreciate the history and the lovely surrounding countryside ( main road excepted). Overall a great experience and it was a place I’d wanted to visit first many years. If I visit next time I’d just park up in the visitors car park (3.50/day) and then walk to the stones without paying the £30 for the experience as I’ve done that now. whilst the ticket price might seem a bit steep it’s probably not when you consider the development and maintenance of this world heritage site and area by English Heritage. I’d love to visit again at sunset or sunrise in the mid summer and winter solstices as the photos would be magnificent in the golden hour. Great visit and thanks to EH for preserving such an amazing piece of our heritage. Tip…try and get there early during summer as it is very popular with coach tours

First visit and can definitely say it won't be the last. What a truly lovely place. The animal enclosures are fabulous, clean and in keeping for each creatures needs. The gardens are stunning considering it is October, there were still some lovely flowers in bloom. Their restaurant was very clean and the carrot cake and coffee a perfect snack between strolling around. The gardens are set out in a way that is interesting to look at whilst walking between enclosures. It was soo clean and tidy. Great place to see some well cared for animals and birds.

I recently visited Platform 1 cafe, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The highlight of my visit was their hot special—a delicious, well-made burger that exceeded my expectations. The flavors were spot on, and it was clear they use high-quality ingredients. Beyond the great food, the staff was absolutely wonderful—super friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. I also loved their new menu options, which offer a fresh variety of choices for different tastes. Overall, Platform 1 cafe is definitely a place I’d recommend. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a relaxed meal, it’s a great spot with great food and an even better atmosphere!

The selection of stores is impressive, with great deals across top brands. Whether you're shopping for fashion, homeware, or just looking to treat yourself, there's something for everyone here. The atmosphere is lovely, and the layout makes it easy to navigate. I also appreciated the range of food options available for a nice break in between shopping! The staff at various stores were friendly and helpful, creating a really pleasant experience overall. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend if you're in the area or planning a shopping day out!

We had a great time exploring Avebury. It was recommended by a friend. We explored the the area. Our National Trust passes came in handy. Although the stones are free, we used our passes to gain entry to the rest of the site. We visited the little museum, the dovecote, the church and the gardens. Sadly, the old manor was not open due to a flood. We had a wander around the village. They had an amazing cake sale, yes, we had cake. The gift shops, both NT and the village had some great gifts. Cafe and usual facilities. It was a gorgeous day, so it was busy. Having a blue badge got us parking in the village carpark. A fantastic day

A lovely nostalgic, informative and historical collection of automotive and toy history. It's well presented, well laid out, and staffed by very friendly and enthusiastic people. What a joy 😊. Members of boundless (formally CSMA) get free access, but prices are reasonable for those who are not.

First time visiting Batsford Arboretum in July and we really enjoyed it. The gift shop and garden centre has so much variety of plants and souvenirs. There is a dedicated picnic area where you can take your own food and drink which is a bonus. The garden itself is very well maintained, we really enjoyed the Japanese area. So much to see, we didn’t get to see all of it so we are planning on coming back soon. Would definitely recommend for a lovely day out.

Popped in with the family after checking out the market and shops. Friendly staff and the reception area is well presented. Toilets are on site but a bit tucked. The amount of Roman history is outstanding. There are two floors to cover with plenty to see and read. There is also a rolling interactive display with several short stories to choose from. The tickets are all day so if you wish to pop back later you can do so.

charming and atmospheric site rich in history and beauty. Lacock Abbey blends medieval architecture with peaceful gardens, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing visit. The cloisters are especially stunning and may look familiar to Harry Potter fans. A delightful stop for history lovers and photographers alike.

We had a lovely afternoon walking around Westonbirt. The colours of the trees were spectacular. There are so many different trails you can walk through. It was very busy on a Saturday afternoon, but the parking was efficiently managed well. The grounds are huge, and there are plenty of signs on the paths and lots of information. This place is beautiful this time of year. The autumn colours are fabulous. It’s the perfect place for dog walkers too. There are some food stalls here and plenty of toilets around.

What a setting for a piece of history, dating back some 900 years. Absolutely stunning. Berkeley Castle has been owned by the same family since the beginning and it felt a real privilege to be welcomed there and to experience 'proper' history. There was just the right amount of information in the castle rooms and a trail for children to keep them interested. A re enactment of Civil War pike men, musketeers and cavalry was informative and fun, especially the VERY loud gun fire which my nephews loved! We were invited to stroke the horses and meet the cavalry men after the demonstration. There was also a music and dancing session and a timetable of other activities that day. A cafe sold hot and cold food and drinks, and there was a small gift shop in the same area. A slightly cheaper food outlet was located in a courtyard with outside tables. This only had a simple selection of drinks, sandwiches and salads, which was exactly what we wanted. All staff were very friendly and happy to answer questions or help out in other ways. We would definitely recommend the castle and we will certainly be returning to use our free, repeat entry tickets.
