It is a small designer outlet. Very cozy and easy to navigate through. It is on the pricey side in comparison to what an outlet should be. The bathrooms were very clean and there was free miniature golf, which was fun to do after shopping. Everyone was very friendly.
Angelique P — Google review
Word "Outlet" used to mean something. Today - it means nothing. Expensive items reduced in price for just a little bit. This is not a real Outlet - it's more like an external shopping mall easier to build and maintain than the huge shopping malls of today. If you are going shopping and are price-agnostic then by all means, go ahead, but if you know what is a true meaning of the word Outlet, you can steer away, because this ain't no Outlet. It's just a shopping mall without a roof, with 2 small places where you can have a drink, and bunch of mostly clothing stores with 20% off deals that you can find anywhere. Bathrooms are clean, and parking is huge.
Srkee L — Google review
The Lindt shop there is amazing. Delicious ice cream to cool off when you are shopping is great

Was OK, good it is open on Sunday but to be honest didn’t like it. Parking was free what was great. But shops are a bit boring.
MYO — Google review
As any outlet you have to dig good opportunities. And always ask if there is extra discounts… The stores are small and have limited options, But the overall experience is very good, not too crowded and have good stores. I always go there for shopping.
Rossano B — Google review

Disappointed, same concept as Batavia Lelystad the Netherlands, missed the vibe, more choices and better offerings... Outlet... Some special occasions 20% off by participate if member... Cora center did fill the Gab H&M C&A

Cemeteries
Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial is a solemn site in Europe, serving as the final resting place for 14,246 soldiers from World War I. The cemetery features a striking expanse of white crosses, meticulously maintained by dedicated gardeners and staff. Visitors can explore the informative museum with film projections and historical artifacts, as well as the beautifully kept gardens surrounding the cemetery. Despite its somber atmosphere, the site pays a poignant tribute to the American soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Every American in France should stop by and and pay their respect to the soldiers who gave their lives in Europe. This is the largest American cemetery in Europe. It is beautiful, peaceful, has a great visitors center and museum and the drive is wonderful.
Justin W — Google review
Perfectly manicured, massive cemetery that gets close to no traffic. The US did a lot of heavy lifting in the last year of the war and it is very evident when you visit.
J S — Google review
Perfectly maintained, perfectly set up graves, those souls who died will never be forgotten. History will never forget those men who died fighting here, so far from home.
Niels M — Google review
I havenever seen something as ceremnonial and opulent as this cemetery. The graves are set up and taken care of perfectly, several gardeners and maintenance personell was roaming and taking care of the whole are and the visitor center and the chapel are in perfect shape. The large tree avenue guides the street through the area. The sheer vastness of the area and the level of detail shows, which nation clearly has the most money for its war funds and will ever have. Take at least one hour to roam the area, if you want to explore every detail.
Martin S — Google review
Even more impressive than the Normandy American Cemetery. Biggest US war-cemetery in France. Impeccably manicured and very well maintained. Located in a remote corner of France. But it's more than worth the detour. Cemeteries don't come more beautiful than this.
HBO — Google review
I don't know another country in the world, able to pay such a tribute to the Fallen Soldiers, able to pay such a price in the name of Liberty. As a retired officer, I do remain also pride to have served, both in former Yugoslavia and in Afghanistan, along with US military forces. Nothing compares to their constant bravery and blatant dedication. They do ever deserve our utmost respect.
RETEUX D — Google review
Biggest war cemetery in France, impeccable manicured and very well maintained. Splendid on a winter afternoon before sunset. As I reached the place late in the afternoon, all visitors were gone, me being the only one, a great sensation of quietness.
Francisco N — Google review
This is a beautiful cemetery and one of the better visitor centers with not only a history of the the war but also a history of the Pilgrimages made by Moms of the dead to see and know that their loved ones were taken care of. Hard to believe that this many Soldiers could be killed in such a short time.

A must visit in the area, particularly if you are interested in any kind of military history. The Fort itself saw action in the 1940 German offensive and the heroic and tragic last stand of the Company that held it is particularly poignant
Benjamin A — Google review
Excellent site to discover the Maginot Line. The guided tour lasts 2 hours, and the guide proved to possess a wealth of very interesting information.
Cezar N — Google review
Amazing museum, definitely worth a visit! Clear remnants of battle and an amazing fully original interior with kitchen, diesel generators (the generators were quite peculiar, very intriguing) and weapons. Very sad but true story about the 107 men who died there defending their country. As per Fallout 4 (video game): "War... War never changes" With these uncertain times going on in the world right now it's definitely worth it to reflect on historical events such as these! Keep in mind that english tours are only for groups of 15+ people.

Spectacular visit yesterday. Our guide, Felipe had a magnific work with the form that he explain the situation lived by the french army soldiers. Congratulations for all voluntaries!!! Great work!!!hihgly recommended

Fascinating place with a very moving history. The guided tour is a must although it's helpful if you have a little French!
Bruce C — Google review
An amazing part of the Maginot line where the defenders held till their last. We stumbled upon driving from bouillon to stennay and what a find it was. The cemetery which contains the defenders is across the road from the memorial adjoined to the Fort.
Andy C — Google review
We had an amazing experience at fort de la ferté. We got there with the Tucker Tour and had a 2 hour long private tour with tour guide and fort expert Roger. What an amazing tour guide he was! The fort itself is very impressive and is in the same state where the Germans left it after capturing it, but the explanations of Roger made it even better. He was so full of excitement and really was passionate about the fort and everything around it. The tour was two hours and every aspect about the fort was explained well en clearly. There was a lot of room to ask questions and since the fort was not tidied up or renewed, it was a really immersive experience that really lets you feel what the soldiers in the fort felt. We want to thank Roger for making this an amazing experience and he should really get all the recognition there is. Furthermore the fort and the museum is an excellent depiction of the maginot line and is well worth the money!

Abbaye d'Orval

Mentioned on

Monastery
Sights & Landmarks
Abbaye d'Orval is a 12th-century Cistercian monastery complex that was destroyed during the French Revolution and later rebuilt in the early 20th century. The site features ancient ruins, an 18th-century pharmacy room, King Wenceslas' grave, a medicinal herb garden, and a museum section focusing on the abbey's famous Trappist beers. Visitors can enjoy a wheelchair-accessible walking tour with detailed explanations in French and German.
A monastery where Orval beer is made. One of the few trappist beer locations where there is a touring ground and explains the history of the place, tradition and produce. The entry is 8 euro which in my opinion is worth the price. There are a lot of art works and artifacts in the museum. You can also buy their beer and other produce in the shop. I highly recommend visiting the place when around the area.
Romeo — Google review
Nice abbey with some interesting inside and outside parts, including the brewery museum and religious museum in the cave. There are signs explaining each stop while you can also do a more interactive visit using some qr codes. Sufficient parking nearby.
Filip B — Google review
The Abbaye d’Orval is one of those places where history, spirituality, and craftsmanship blend beautifully. Nestled in peaceful surroundings, the abbey radiates serenity, while the ruins and gardens tell centuries of stories. The brewery, famous for its Trappist beer, is truly impressive — a perfect balance of tradition and precision. Tasting the Orval beer near its birthplace is an experience in itself: complex, aromatic, and unlike any other. The small museum adds depth, showing the monks’ dedication to quality. A must-visit for beer lovers and anyone seeking authentic Belgian heritage!
Natalia B — Google review
It was so serene and peaceful. Very well organised in terms of history preservation and story telling. Definitely a must-visit when in the area or nearby villages/towns.

Amazing abbey with so much history. I loved in particular the fact they make some of the best beer in the world. You can even buy from the shop there exclusive beer
Dr S — Google review
Beautiful place. Always interesting to experience a place with a lot of history, especially where they make beer and cheese. The ruins and the beer process were my favorite parts. The modern art museum felt out of place. I also would've loved to get a closer look al the impressive architecture of the church. The gift shop was okay.
Thor — Google review
Beautiful place. Upon going in, there is an exhibit and area in which you can listen to the history on headphones (multiple languages). They were completely full when we were there, so a worker told us we could come back later and continue on if we'd like. Exiting, there is a pool of water with some fish and then the grounds continue on. The herb garden is amazing, even in winter when most plants are dormant (would love to see in full bloom!). There are statues throughout the grounds, the old brewery tour, remains of the old structure into some restored areas, and inside where there is an art museum with some stunning pieces. The gift shop is lovely. You are limited to one case of beer per person so bring non-drinking friends to buy you extra!!

Amazing and splendid historical place, a must visit one! You feel the ancient time by watching those buildings and ruins carrying the history from 1300A.D. One can also learn the beers making process. no, you don't have to be Monk for that. There is a lot to discover in this place. Don't miss the shop where you can buy Orval Beers, Cheese and other goods.

Mardasson Memorial

Mentioned on

Sights & Landmarks
Located in Bastogne, the Mardasson Memorial is a striking tribute to American soldiers who were injured or lost their lives during the Battle of the Bulge. Designed by architect Georges Dedoyard, this imposing structure takes the form of a 12-meter tall five-pointed American star with points extending 31 meters and a central atrium measuring 20 meters in diameter. The memorial offers fantastic panoramic views of the battle areas and features informative maps detailing the movements of German and Allied forces.
Didn't visit the museum just had a nice wander around the monument /crypt and took in the beautiful views over the belgian countryside. Impressive monument- just a shame you can't climb up the spiral staircase to the top anymore... Also had a coffee in the cafe adjoining the museum. Friendly service.
Ness R — Google review
A fitting tribute to all the American troops who gave their lives. The memorial is free entry but the museum that occupies the same site is 22€ per person that added to the 5€ parking charge it does start to become expensive. The memorial and grounds are well worth a visit if you want to pay your respects for free and the first 20 mins parking is free.
Deb L — Google review
Two years ago they were busy with the restoration, and now it's complete (although we couldn't discover where they restored it). Overall it is worth a visit when you are visiting the museum or if you are visiting Bastogne. It is a large monument to commemorate the Second World War.
Dinja B — Google review
Images from the Mardasson Memorial. Honoring the memory of American soldiers who were wounded or killed in the Battle of the Bulge. We should never forget. The museum was closed, but this monument brought tears to my sarcastic, cynical eyes. A great way to end our trip.
Amit M — Google review
The Mardasson Memorial in Bastogne is striking, respectful, and deeply thought-provoking, honoring those who fought in the war. Visiting is definitely worthwhile, a powerful and moving experience. The upper deck wasnt open when we were there.
Márton — Google review
Its sadly closed for renovation but it has to be done so I dont see the reason for all of these 1 star reviews. But other than that its great its really majestic commemorating the sacrifices of thousands of soliders i would reccomend to visit
Dag 5 — Google review
Impressive monument, but at the time it is closed and cordoned off, the crypt is open thou, sign mentions renovation should have been completed last year and I see reviews here mentions it has been open since
Martin H — Google review
The movies (3) was very good, but they tell the story in a too complicated way. Hard to follow as an adult and the children barely keep up, even though they know history and have seen some of the related films and series.

Specialty Museums
The Bastogne War Museum, located near the Mardasson Memorial in Belgium, is a modern military museum that offers an interactive and immersive experience focusing on World War II and the Battle of the Bulge. Rebuilt and reopened in 2014, it features digital exhibits, short films, and a reconstruction of the forest battlefield to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the conflict.
Spent a good 3 hours + here, so make sure you give yourself enough time. An immersive museum full of history, story telling and facts. Follow 4 characters as they take you through the years of WW2. Headsets available for an assortment of languages. Entrance ticket covers 3 sites and can be used over 7 days so no need to rush! Three ‘shows’ with 3D-glasses, special effects and wonderful animation really bring the whole period of WW1 and WW2 to reality. Sad tales are told so bring a hanky 🥹 The generation 45 production I found very interesting/emotional. Covers two soldiers journeys post war. I sadly lost my grandad in the conflict (buried in Belgium), so it really made me appreciate even more so what I lost from my life as his granddaughter 😢 Staff friendly, plenty of toilets available, cafe with hot/cold drinks and basic food has outdoor and indoor seating. Monument to the Americans quite powerful to see. We were unable to walk within it as it is currently being renovated. Parking flat and plentiful. Every vehicle costs £5 to park so a bit pricey for motorbikes, but it all goes to a good cause.
Andrea B — Google review
The museum was great as expected but what actually suprised me was the quality of food in the bistro. I expected it to be just a regular bistro not very good food and really expensive, the expensive part was true but I was really suprised that the food was actually good i reccomend almost everything on the menu exept for the sandwitches whitch are as expected bland but other than that its really tasty. If you are hungry after going through the museum dont waste your time trying to find a restaurant just eat there trust me you wont regret it.
Dag 5 — Google review
Great museum. Bring a sandwich and water because if you are interested in this topic, you will stay for over 3 hours. Excellent exhibition of vehicles, weapons and equipment, as well as other legacies. If you don't bring food, there are restaurants as well as a ww2 themed restaurant. The exhibition also includes films from the war period. A very comprehensive museum, it will not leave fans indifferent. It is not bad to buy tickets online, and there is also the possibility of buying tickets for 3 museums, which I recommend. Parking for a vehicle is 5 euros.
Radovan Z — Google review
Absolutely worth visiting. Wish we had had more time to be able to take in the whole museum. We had limited time as this was an impromptu stop. Make sure you have several hours to be able to spend here.
Verne D — Google review
Its good, some nice theatre settings. I was expecting more Bastogne/Foye specific, the details and notty gritty. It covers the whole war from 38-45 which is good if you don't know, then a secrion in the middle for the bulge.

A Must-Visit: The Emotional Powerhouse of the Bastogne War Museum Visiting the Bastogne War Museum was an unforgettable highlight of my trip, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. This museum, dedicated to the Battle of the Bulge, delivers a deeply moving experience that blends history, emotion, and education in a way that resonates long after you leave. From the moment you step in, the immersive exhibits pull you into the harsh realities of World War II. The museum’s use of personal stories, interactive displays, and authentic artifacts—like the chillingly preserved tanks outside—brings the Battle of Bastogne to life. What struck me most was the audio-guided tour, where you follow the perspectives of four characters: a soldier, a civilian, a nurse, and a resistance fighter. Their stories made the history feel raw and human, stirring emotions I didn’t expect. The museum doesn’t shy away from the war’s brutality but balances it with tales of courage and resilience, honoring the sacrifices made in and around Bastogne. The layout is intuitive, and the attention to detail is remarkable, making it accessible for history buffs and casual visitors alike. For anyone visiting Belgium, this is more than a museum—it’s an emotional journey into a pivotal moment in history. Plan for a few hours, as you’ll want time to absorb it all. I left with a deeper appreciation for the past and a renewed sense of gratitude. Highly, highly recommended!
Leif L — Google review
Pretty pricy for a family of four, especially since there is very little for kids to do. There is mostly a lot of tales and films, less historical things to actually see and experience. I would have suggested kids under 12 yrs could enter for free. The additional parking fee is just over the top.
Paul A — Google review
One of the best history museums I've ever experienced. Especially rooms with 10-15 minute sessions are amazing and getting better at every step. If you have time do not skip these rooms. With the same ticket you can also enter Bois Jacques, the woods and fox holes where an amazing episode of Band of Brothers covers.

Bastogne Barracks is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts, particularly those fascinated by World War II and the pivotal Battle of the Bulge. This remarkable museum offers an immersive experience with guided tours and engaging exhibits that showcase the harrowing events of this significant conflict. Visitors can marvel at impressive displays of armored tanks, which serve as a testament to the military strategies employed during this tumultuous time.
Our experience at the Bastonge Barracks was incredible. The woman working the front desk (I am sad I didnt catch her name) was a tremendous help. She provided maps and all the information we needed to make it a great visit. (She also made some great restaurant recommendations andncalled to make sure one restaurant was still open late in the afternoon on New Years Eve - above and beyond!) We took the tour of the warehouses with the restored vehicles and weaponry of WWII, the museum, and the foxholes in the Ardennes Forest. Every detail was excellently portrayed and researched. I learned many things not previously known to me regarding this corner of the war. I was flooded with emense gratitude for brave men and women who took a stand and fought during WWII. Even today, Bastonge is a quiet, small town. I can only imagine what it looked like 81 yrs ago. The most moving thing for me to witness was the foxholes in the forest. They have been maintained throughout the years to be free of debris; however they looked so authentic for the cover they might have provided an American Soldier. It was a powerful, moving, and hallowed ground. To know men were fighting and dying in this forest, in weather much like we experienced (cold, with trees frosted by ice fog) brought me to tears. I am grateful such men lived.

Awesome, better than I thought it would be. Their variety of equipment was amazing. The main display hall was kinda dark. The military guide was very knowledgeable and friendly you could tell he really enjoyed his job

This is a fantastic WWII museum with various displays both inside and outside. It isn't very big overall, and you could easily see everything in an hour if you wanted to, but I took a little longer as I like to take my time and read about stuff. If you like WWII history and you're in or near Bastogne, be sure to check this place out, and if you like to take your time, give yourself a couple hours here!

Awesome display! If you want an extensive overview of military hardware, this is the place to be! The sliding doors of hal 1 open and you are greeted by the smell of engine oil and grease, AND a 152mm pointing right at you :) It's really worth every euro of the entrance fee, MUCH visit when in Belgium (or central Europe for that matter ;) )

Really nice exponation. ISU 152, IS 200, several Sherman incl different guns. Lots of howitzers and trucks. I was really satisfied with their collection. Worth a visit!

The best museum in Bastogne (must see), with a lot of armed vehicles and tanks in perfect condition. They've got vehicles from the Soviet Union, France, England, America and Germany.

Would have had a better score but the main hall was closed when we went. If you like military hardware, not just tanks, this is worth a visit. And there is an excellent Virtual Reality view of the inside of a Sherman Tank.

Fabulous, our second stay. Incredible place. Tastefully renovated into a beautiful hotel. History buffs will love it. Especially the museum part of the hotel. Breakfast is plentiful and our evening meal was quite elegant. Staff are friendly and helpful. Stunning highly recommend 👍

It's a beautiful setting, a mix of old and new. You can relax here with your pets. However, it would be good to pay attention to the cleanliness of the cups and spoons.

Fantastic hotel in a medieval fortress! The rooms were super ~ comfortable, well appointed & beautifully decorated. I loved the rough stone original walls around the hotel. Less impressed with the “fine dining” experience. The food looked impressive but was average. Unfortunately, for a group of 12 international guests, we had a waitress that didn’t speak English which made things difficult for us & her. Breakfast was also disappointing. As a gluten free eater they did accommodate my diet but this meant removing things from the dish & not adding something else! My choices were limited due to a lack of adaptation. So I had a plate of meat in sauce for my main course! Surely a fine dining restaurant can be a bit creative! *Note to kitchen: the amusebouche with couscous is not GF - couscous is made of flour.

Lovely hotel rich in history. Rooms have large, comfortable beds. It doesn’t get much more beautiful than this. They also have a castle tour with some great views and an escape room on property as well. Overall amazing experience.

Housed in a converted mill on the banks of the Meuse River, this museum has recently reopened after a two-year renovation. It features an extensive collection of Rimbaud's works, letters, and memorabilia from his travels through Africa.
Interesting museum of this famous man. I missed out on the fine works with not speaking French.

Interesting and unexpected take on the concept of a 'museum'. It's more a series of experiences (of whispered poetry in the blue room at the top) and impressions. Certainly worth a visit, even if you are not particularly an Arthur Rimbaud fan.

Visitors can enjoy falconry displays and learn about the castle's ghost stories. The steep hill leading to the castle rewards visitors with stunning views of the city.
We probably came here on a wrong day for us, because it was overcrowded - weekend and a holiday season. I would still rate this place at 5 stars because it was a pleasant visit. Nice show, beautiful area and great views. Situated right at the city, it makes it a bit difficult to park but we enjoyed the walk through the city and on the way back stopped at the store for souvenirs. They don’t accept cards at the entry and inside the castle if you want to have a drink.

Visited for the second time this weekend, great to see, plenty to explore. The whole area is stepped on history and too is this Chateau. Will definitely recommend a visit and come again.
Hemi J — Google review
Nice castle ruin, easily accessible for families. The archery activity is nice and free. There is also a tavern, though it looked not well maintained or clean. The sight invites for activities, I assume there are more at other times. Good explanations in the small leaflets and posters. Could use some better maintenance, like cutting some weed. For the price, it deserves better maintenance .Great view on the city lower and the surroundings.
R — Google review
Great looking castle ruin in the middle of the town with a few activities to try and nice panorama to enjoy. Not that big so easy to explore. Some parts felt a bit barren while others more built-in.
Ádám H — Google review
A must-visit if ever in town, super interesting to experience and read about - we were stunned by some of the info! The prices are a bit expensive if you visit on a weekday where there is no bar or activities going on. On the other hand there were very few people on a Thursday morning! Student price is 8€ (0.50€ off)

Follow the map on the street to find the entrance Nice activities inside like playing music with kids and theater show A bit expensive tickets

This very old castle is build on a rock using materials from the area. The builders used a very special technique to put rocks together and form a stable structure. The place is worth a visit which lasts around 45-60 minutes. Entrance is open until 30 minutes before closing time. It's not expensive and worth the visit.
Luc K — Google review
The ruin gives a beautiful view over the city. There is a lot of information about the individual parts that still remain to this date. The addition of a bar and falcon shows makes the castle more livid. However the entrance fee is a bit expensive. I would highly recommend visiting this castle when in the city.

The Domain of the Caves of Han is a stunning natural attraction that offers visitors an unforgettable experience. The tour begins with a tram ride to the entrance, followed by a guided exploration of the enormous caves adorned with impressive stalagmites and stalactites. A captivating light and sound show adds to the enchanting atmosphere within the cave. Additionally, adjacent to the caves is a wildlife park where families can enjoy observing various animals in a natural setting.
Beautiful place If you choose to walk, it will be around 3-4 hours or instead you can choose the safari van which covers it within 1.5 hours. Personally I would suggest the walk as you can take your time and watch animals more closely. Also there are few amazing viewpoints which you miss when you take the van
Alina J — Google review
Visiting the Grottes de Han-sur-Lesse was absolutely magical. The caves are truly spectacular - huge chambers, beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, and impressive lighting that highlights all the natural formations. The guided tour (two languages to choose from: french or dutch) was well-organized and informative, with guides who were passionate and knowledgeable about the history and geology of the site. The little tram ride to the cave entrance was charming and added to the adventure. The sound and light show inside the largest chamber was a real highlight - so unique and atmospheric. The whole domain is perfect for a day out, especially if you combine it with a walk in the wildlife park. Facilities are clean, there are places to eat, relax and buy souvenirs. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Ardennes area - this is a must-see in Belgium!

It was a nice experience. You can visit the caves (about an hour with a light show) and do the safari where you can see the animals -more of them moving freely in the forest. The tours are not available in English but they try to assist you somehow. There's no parking area.

Absolutely stunning everything about it guided tour very well organised and although the majority of language spoken was French and Netherlands the guide took the out to explain to us in English thank you
Michelle — Google review
Visited the caves today. Great visit, although I somehow expected a more spectacular cave. Guide was good, clear and patient. The light show was actually surprisingly awesome. If you catch this on video, the contrast is magnificent. We had an extra dimension because of Halloween, making the caves also to be inhibited by trolls, handing out mud. 😆

Not many English speakers venture here. The wildlife tour bus and caves tour is only in French and Dutch. Price is high, a combined ticket is 41.50. We’re here in March, it’s clearly low season and I feel they’re getting ready for peak; however nothing was clear to us, where to go and timings. We did a bus tour, which takes90 mins, which was alright but not worth the money. The walking route looked good with some great view points and almost a tree walk. This is split in two, 3km walk over the hill, then another 3km around the lake bed, which you can walk or wait for an electric bus. I think if you aim to come here for an afternoon walk whilst looking at random animals then you’ll enjoy it. Caves, there are two tours, one starts next to the cave where the river comes out the hill, the other longer tour starts in the park at the end of the tramline. We then did the long cave tour, it was cut short because of sediment build up in the cave apparently. They’re spectacular, especially the large caves at the end. So in summary, it’s a great place, but pricey I feel. Doing the walking tour of the zoo will likely take 3-4 hours with stops, the long tour the long cave tour then starts at the end of the animal walking tour. I’d recommend getting here early, do the walk, have a break then do the long cave tour if they’re timed properly. For us the long cave tour was only operating at1400, so it’s screws the zoo visit. The organisation of the place should be better, it’s an established attraction that will generate a lot of income. The tram s a unique experience and it’s great that it’s still maintained. The original signage from 1890 needs a good clean too. 3 stars because of the price and the stress of trying to work out where and when we needed to be. It clear not many English people reach here, so lack of English is to expected and adds to the sense of being on holiday I guess

Château de Lavaux-Sainte-Anne, located just 21 km from Leignon, is a historic stronghold with domed towers and a moat. Originally built in 1193 and later rebuilt in 1630, the castle underwent extensive restoration in the 1930s after falling into disrepair in the 19th century.

Translation in English or Dutch available most of the time. Prive of admission 8 euro's for grown ups and free parking across the entrance.

Beautiful castle with a rich well documented history. Decorated with mostly historic furniture and hilariously badly taxidermied hunting trophies.

A beautiful step back in time! Visiting the Château de Lavaux-Sainte-Anne was an unforgettable experience. The castle is beautifully preserved and offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s history. Each room is thoughtfully curated, with detailed exhibits about noble life, hunting traditions, and rural heritage. The grounds are just as impressive - walking around the moat and gardens felt like stepping into a fairy tale. The staff were welcoming and happy to answer questions, making the visit even more enjoyable. I especially appreciated the interactive displays and the chance to climb up the towers for panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Perfect for a day trip with family or friends. Highly recommend if you love history, architecture, or simply exploring charming places off the beaten path!

What s wonderful Chateau, immaculate in its presentation. Every room was staged and can get a real feel of how life would have been living there. Great place. Amount of team and individual games occupy your whole day. There are indoor and outdoor activities for all ages. Most of them around climbing, on a rocks on trees and also 32m controlled free fall. Highly recommended to visit when weather is good so you can enjoy all of them.

I'm writing this (April 2025) because we nearly decided to skip this place due to some terrible reviews on Google / TripAdvisor. Bottom line- it was absolutely brilliant. Perfect for a young family. We were here for a full day - kids aged 12, 10 and 4, and lucky for us the the sun decided to show up. There were no queues whatsoever on any of the rides. Ok, perhaps 1 or 2 of the staff here weren't overly friendly (like some other reviews are suggesting) but tbh, 95% of staff here were extremely kind and helpful. If I had one suggestion to the venue it would be to open the zip line for longer (it is only open for 2 hours). Otherwise, everything was on point. Also note, there's stuff here for toddlers but these attractions are naturally separate to the main features. And regarding the price, yes, it is slightly pricey at circa €50 a head... But imo, worth every cent. You get a full day here where you cannot complete every attraction, even if you try! In conclusion, the kids absolutely loved it and its also great fun for us adults. Definitely a place we recommend for anyone visiting Belgium!
Jonathan G — Google review
Great place for a visit with the family or colleagues if you like. Plenty of adventures to try out, all safe to do. Not so much for with a toddler but teens and up will have a great time. We visited Dino Mission with our toddler which was too artificial and not so interesting. Will come back with the teens only for the more daring things. Parking is plenty and close by, paid of course. Enough electric chargers available as well but not all of them work. Outside the parking there are better chargers.

We had a day here around Halloween. It was very nice for our 9 years old daughter but it was limited for our 4 years old daughter. We had to switch to do the adventure activities with my partner. I do not think getting full ticket for both partners should be necessary for families with young kids, since one needs to look after the younger child all the time. All in all, we still had good time.
Buket E — Google review
A huge playground for all ages, rock climbing, abseiling, treetop clambering, a maze, indoor playground, bars and restaurants. Food quality good. For two adults and two kids, a day pass for most activities will cost you more tha 100€. + a 10 euro parking fee
Marc S — Google review
The park is amazing the infrastructure is really nice. A serious damper is the often young and rude staff / students manning the attractions. As some were nice and competent others were constantly playing on their phone which should be forbidden or opening the attractions late given for example somebody had to go up to the fee fall. Also playing on the phone while kids are climbing poses a safety risk in my opinion. Not speaking Flemish as a foreign visitor some of those played stupid and only gave directives in Flemish while I pointed out that I unfortunately do only speak French or English among other languages… it’s sad to see how badly trained staff can ruin an amazing concept.
Gilles F — Google review
We went for the Christmas afternoon event. On several occasions tried to book tickets and was fully booked but when we eventually managed to book tickets the place was half empty. The children liked the tube slides a lot. The light path was interesting but waiting for Santa in the cold outside for long time wasn't. Still, it was probably overall nice for the children.
Kyr B — Google review
Interesting amusement park with some unusual attractions. There are three tickets: one for entrance without any attractions included, an adventure pass, and a fly pass, which includes all adventure activities as well as three additional flying activities, i.e. zip line, dead drop and the big air. It is very surprising that this latter activity is a jump onto a big air pillow, which is not insured as you need to sign a physical harm waiver.

Durbuy is a very nice City and worth to visit -BUT it looks like that most of the shops/tea rooms etc. are just interest in fast money from the tourists. We did visit on a Thursday from 09 am to just after lunch. Lot of Shops had not open. The Shop promoting local Durbuy products only is open from Friday 02pm and Saturday/Sunday. So no interest to promote the local products, just the fast weekend money. We had to check 4 places before we found one open for breakfast. ( it was a hotel, very friendly staff). Durbuy as a City maybe should look into that subject. We met, on thus Thursday morning people from the UK,Netherlands,Germany and Argentina- all not happy with the situation.

Quirky and an entertaining hour or two. Slightly down-at-heel - most topiary items in need of TLC and particularly weeding!! Self guided tour was not that special but for €15,- not much more to be expected if it also includes a glass and a beer. The patio view is nice and it’s a good quick stop for a beer kind of experience
Nick E — Google review
The museum itself is nothing special at all. Its self guided and you can walk through in 5 minutes. But for the 15 eur you get 1 free beer. A full glass. And also a welcome present. And dogs are allowed. The tasting area is in a lovely grassy area. So, its worth it. Free parking directly in front. You can of course skip the musuem and pay for beer. They also have some small bites.

Very disappointing experience. €15 per person to see a gimmicky video tour (lasts about 10 minutes) which is completely lacking in interest. Just watching a boring video on a screen mounted in a picture frame. You get a beer included but it’s a small measure with very moody service. All in all a very expensive way to have a beer. We left feeling ripped off and offended by the 2 rude ladies who were ‘serving’. I did wonder if they were having a bet with each other on who could get away with being the rudest!

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Pont Charles de Gaulle, also known as the Charles de Gaulle Bridge, holds a significant place in history due to its connection to the Battle of Dinant during World War I. The bridge is a popular tourist attraction located near the Citadel of Dinant and offers stunning views of the Meuse River. It is adorned with multiple saxophones representing different countries, serving as a tribute to the European Union.
The bridge offers a beautiful view of the city center. Here you can take a tourist tram to explore the whole city. Near the bridge, further down the street, there are boat stops for a walk along the river. It's definitely worth doing.
Solomiia S — Google review
A unique bridge uses saxophones to pay tribute to two great men and countries. Built in 2010, the bridge is adorned with saxophones. Painted in unique colors, one saxophone takes on the appearance of a basketball, another resembles a mermaid, while another depicts a castle and a dragon. Each saxophone is placed in front of its respective flag, paying homage to the country it represents. That’s because the Belgian city of Dinant is where Adolphe Sax – the inventor of the saxophone – was born. In 1841, Sax invented the saxophone, which was one of many instruments he would influence or create in his heyday. His first major invention was to improve the design of the bass clarinet. Of course, the Charles de Gaulle Bridge also pays homage to the French general it is named after, who led the French resistance against Nazi Germany in the 1940s (as a junior officer at the time). Today, Belgium’s Charles de Gaulle Bridge remains a colorful and playful way to pay tribute to two great men of the past and to the unity of the European Union. The Charles de Gaulle Saxophone Bridge is located in the city of Dinant in Belgium. The bridge is located at Rue de la Gare, near the Gare de Dinant train station next to the Meuse River.

Great place for lunch - many riverside cafes and interesting things to see.

A fun bridge full of Saxophones dedicated to the invention of the saxophone by aldolphe in the town of Dinant . Each of the saxophone’s are designed but a certain country

I can't believe I almost didn't see the view as I drove past on my way to the train station.

A great tourist attraction on top of the Meuse river close to Citadel of Dinant connected via a cable car. The bridge has multiple saxophone representing countries. History says the saxophones were set out along the bridge the placement in a tribute to the countries of the European Union in 2010. It was in that year when it was celebrated here the Europe Sax and when it was decided that each saxophone would represent to a European country.

This is a bridge on the river Meuse. When in Dinant, you will see this bridge while exploring the city and the surroundings. Would suggest to park the car and take a walk on the bridge and the surroundings. A sunny day gives all the more charm to this city. A few more places to explore around this bridge. Walking around would be a good choice. One of the good places to spend a relaxed time with family & friends. Recommend it.
Amith G — Google review
Very nicely decorated bridge with different saxophones. It's a view point to get beautiful pictures of Dinant. It's in the heart of the city. You can't miss it. Next to the bridge is the statue of Charles de Gaulle.

Citadelle de Dinant

Castle
Dinant Citadel is a medieval stronghold and museum that can be accessed via 408 steps or a cable car. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley. Admission fee of 11 is required, regardless of where one parks. A ticket counter can be found at both the top and bottom entrances, with limited access. Visitors may choose between taking the stairs or cable car, but must still wait in line and pay the fee.
The ticket to cable car and citadel is included. The steps are more but its worth to climb as view gets better. The world war museum is interesting and they also give tablets to listen as guide. There is a small souvenir shop, but i found better magnets and glasses in the store below the citadel. And there was little waiting period for cable car.
Dr. N — Google review
You can walk up the steps to the top but there’s also a cable car which is worth taking. The view from the upper rampart is extensive, over the whole city of Dinant. The structure of the fort is interesting but the displays are lacking. There is also a cafe at the top where you can get minimal food & drink
Graham S — Google review
Wonderful place to visit. Amazing views over the whole of Dinant, and across the Meuse valley. Nice cafe at the top with polite staff and nice food. Beer on tap! The Citadelle is really interesting, with polite staff, interactive history pads are available use and worth it. History covered through the ages. The World War exhibition is very thought provoking and tells a sad tale. Go up on the fenicular if possible, it’s worth the ride up and down. It only takes a few minutes with amazing views of the church below. Note: there is a section of the exhibition after the ‘bunkers’ that is very sensory challenging! There are not enough signs to warn people. I have no problems with balance, but found this area challenging. Fun and funny but high potential falls risk! Not even sure what it was about 🫣
Andrea B — Google review
One of the best small museums we've been to, with a beautiful panoramic view of the city of Dinant. The citadel museum uses simple but effective tablet technology to enhance visitors' understanding of the history of the citadel and city. The exhibit about WWI, using a blend of visual, auditory and sensory stimuli, was also very moving. Both kids and adults enjoyed the visit and the "treasure hunt". We chose the entrance ticket that included the short cruise on the Meuse river and it was very nice. Fyi, we went here on the 2nd week of November and the cable car was not available and it won't be available for a few months, so we assume the cable car doesn't run in fall/winter. The 408 stair steps with railing are doable for kids and adults with moderate physical ability. There's a nice playground in the courtyard at the very end of the self-guided tour. The trip to Dinant was impromptu but we're so glad we did it. It took avout 2 hours from Brussels to Dinant by train and bus.

it is a gorgeous town! visited in September. the price of 14 euros to visit the fortress and the cable car included is acceptable... everything is beautiful from the landscapes and what you can see in the fortress... I highly recommend it! I think it is among the most beautiful places in Belgium.
Vasile A — Google review
The citadel is located on top of a cliff which overlooks the city, making it a prime structure for defense. In the present day, this means it’s a great place to get some incredible views of Dinant. There is a museum inside which goes in depth on the significance of the citadel during war time. It was put together really well, the town has an amazing history. Also, there is a trolley you can ride up and down the cliffside! There is also a very steep set of stairs which will definitely test your stamina. Tickets were about 14€ for adults.
Renée R — Google review
What a beautiful area! Easy to get a ticket for the cable car and very little queues. I do wish there were more safety notices for the cable car (maybe that's the Brit in me who is obsessed with safety😂) but there seemed to be no limit to people on the cable cars and people packed in like sardines which felt scary, and there was no attendant around monitoring. Also bring coins because even though you have to pay for tickets, the toilets at the top you also have to pay for 😂 Nice little cafe at the top with good food, aswell as a gift shop and lots of historical sights.
Sophie — Google review
This visit to the Citadel was the best historical monument/exhibit I have ever seen, be sure of the interactive tablet they give you with the price of the ticket. I am surprised so few visitors mention this. It is so well done. I learned so much about the purpose, the history and particularly the role during WW 1. It was interesting and it was fun. Go up in the cable car and use the tablet! Great job, Dinant!

Mont Mosan

Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Theme Parks
Nestled in the picturesque Ardennes, Mont Mosan is a delightful family-friendly amusement park that promises a day filled with joy and excitement for children aged 3 to 10. With an array of attractions including thrilling rides, engaging playgrounds, and even a minigolf course, there's something for every little adventurer. The park also features captivating shows featuring sea lions and parrots that are sure to leave lasting memories.
Despite being a little bit on the older side of amusement parks the quality was really enjoyable. The animals looked taken care of and the premises were nice and tidy and everything seemed safe. Every attraction has a person overseeing this activity, so nothing can go wrong. My kids loved it and so did we :) it's crazy this is a 3 minute drive from Huy's city center!
Bart L — Google review
Nice park for children.. Has some animals.. The seals show was very nice.. The park was clean and not crowded as well.. The only downside was that there was only one worker who's operating all of the games in the park 🙃🙃.. So we kept searching for her with every game my son wanted to play.
Nourhan E — Google review
Very nice park for children. It’s a bit outdated, but it has its charm, the people are very friendly and it’s fairly priced. The parrot show is great, we all loved it
Nathan F — Google review
I would give zero if I could and if it wasn’t for the sea lions show. Too far and too expensive for what they offer. Rottening poorly maintained machines, decades of moss everywhere, no music (just the creaking of the machines) all very sad. Don’t eat on site, there’s only a small friterie and nothing more.
Silvia — Google review
Perfect to spend as day with your kids. Great fun ! Nice show of parrots and sea lions. Surely recommend it.
William G — Google review
Our family discovered a new jewel! Great price for a family with children - perfect activities. Unforgettable. The Dino Park is fantastic.
Brecht N — Google review
No expectation before coming to Mont Mosan but it really surprised me in a positive way at the end. The park is certainly not new but my 7-year old daughter loves their rides. There are some newer playgrounds here and there that kids will not be bored. Even though it rained on the day we visited Mont Mosan, my daughter loves the park. I think it offers more than its price. It is a very nice amusement park for kids 3-10. Older kids may not find it amusing.
Timothy Y — Google review
As others have noted the attractions are a bit dated, and some are better maintained than others, but it's a whole's day worth of fun for kids aged 4 to 10. We visited from Brussels on a public holiday and parking was tricky but we managed (for free). If you have serious concerns about animal abuse for entertainment purposes you might want to stay away. We got a Groupon deal for entrance but we still had to pay an extra 12€ per kid for free access to all attractions.

The Citadelle de Namur is a historic fortress that dates back to the 10th century and has been rebuilt multiple times over the centuries. It dominates the town of Namur, covering an entire hilltop with its ramparts, tunnels, and grey walls. While much of what stands today is from the 19th and 20th centuries, it still retains its compelling medieval charm.
What a tremendous experience. The premises are huge and historically loaded. It’s a real maze, a masterpiece of military architecture bearing the signature of several major military architects like Vauban. The hosted city museum and the 7km long (4 accessible) well preserved tunnels are awesome. Adding a bit of nature, wandering, physical activity and a lot of friendliness, you’ve got a wonderful experience and the need to come back and discover the actual City.

Lovely place to go on a day and family trip. The place is enormous. There is plenty of things to do. You could take the telepherique, eat in the top hill restaurant, go hiking, taking photos of Namur from the top, take the touristic train, and more. You can also park in different stages of the citadel and for free.
ALMUDENA S — Google review
Quality family walk here. Views are stunning. We drove to the top to go to the kids play park which is about 10-15 mins away from the Citadelle, so that helped with children and walking up a hill. Worth the visit and the views. Totally recommend it.
Ryan J — Google review
Fantastic walking area in the former fort of Namur city. Entrance to the for and grounds is free, but the museum and underground tours require a fee. It's not really that far to climb, just steep. In return you get wonderful views of the city in the north bank. If you don't fee like climbing, get the Gondola. Tickets are one way or return. One way (up) is fine in my humble opinion.
Chung H — Google review
Interesting. Great view over the city of Namur. We had our lunch on the grass. We did not have enough time to do the paid visits. They need to increase the number of parking spots. It was grossly inadequate and we were in late May. It would also be nice to have more historical exhibit available for free.
Nicolas A — Google review
Very nice place. Can recommend the Totemus game. Fun and interactive way of discovering the citadelle and its history. The panorama has a very nice terrace, overlooking the Namur skyline.
Inge V — Google review
I suggest taking the telepherique (gondola 🚠🚡) on the way up and walk down. There's a large building next to the gondolas with a lot of artwork in it. Some exhibits you have to pay for (the VR headsets for some of the artwork). I wish there was a tour because I had no idea what I was looking at or why the citadel was there. Plenty of places to eat (there's a sort of food court building) below the walking tunnel.
L M — Google review
We bought the full pass online to see the visitor center, the underground galeries and the little train ride. Very complete visit, you leave the citadelle knowing a bit more about Namur and Belgium history. Great tour guide! (Unfortunally I dont recall his name)

The Musée Provincial Félicien Rops is a museum dedicated to the 19th-century Belgian artist, showcasing his paintings, letters, and sketches. The museum features themed groups of his art, including his time as a caricaturist in Brussels. One of the most famous works on display is the etching 'La Mort Qui Danse' (Dancing Death), depicting a skeleton in women's clothing inspired by Gothic Romantic works.
Fabulous artist, insane to think he dared to paint and draw what he did in the 19th century. The museum itself is really nice, clean, well-lit, and the staff at reception is calm and friendly. Great souvenirs and high-quality prints in the museum shops.

Never heard of this artist until visting Namur. Unexpected, but interesting subject matter. Gallery offered good value. I'm not a serious art fan, more casual/opportunistic, but pleased to add this artist to the list of those I have seen. If you have any interest in art galleries, this is highly recommended.
Richardnoller63 — Google review
A really good museum for art lovers. Great permanent exhibition of works by Felicien Rops. Nicely exhibited with lighting that goes off when there’s no one in the room. The temporary exhibit of work called ‘Hommage a Pan’ was amazing. Beautiful large scale pen and ink drawings. Such detail. Staff very friendly. The appropriate member of staff jumped in to speak English to us.
Paula L — Google review
Felicien Rops is a well known artist for picturing the ladies of the 'houses of ill repute' and a criticaster during his years as a student. But his pendrawings of ordinary people and paintings really shows his talent as well. Due to renovations of the museum of Elsene, part of the impressionist collection can be viewed as well...and even if the permanent collection is nice, this temporary exhibition makes it top.
Bart E — Google review
Very interesting museum with famous arts. It's possible to visit it for free with Pass musées of Belgium.

Lovely museum covering the diversity of the work of Rops, not very large but charming. The painter is well known for his symbolic works and his nudes, but he also produced satirical etchings. Very friendly reception.

The outside of this museum is striking and worth a pass by. The inside houses many sketches and studies for larger works. I found the giant sketch for "British Empire panels" to be very interesting in it's detail and scale.

Wonderful place to stop at after a lovely walk through the Sint Truiden orchards and year-round to be honest. Lively, picturesque outside terrace and cosy interior. Great beers, of course, and all warm drinks with the added house whisky and eau-de-bière are delicious. Always lovely to come back.

Open on Sunday for those who want to visit a brewery when all others are closed! I have been there twice already. They have good beer and also wide selection of strong drinks like whiskey, rum and gin. The tour on Sunday is at 15.00, I have taken the tour a few years ago and unfortunately it was only in Dutch, but the tour guide was really amiable and translated in English some parts. Maybe they have English tours now, but we did not ask. As we could not stay for so long we just enjoyed their nice chalet style restaurant. We took tapas to share and a crazy choco drink for dessert. Obviously we tried the beer. Tripel Kannunik is really GOOD.

Wonderful indoor and outdoor seating. Beers are award winning and aptly so. Good range of beers available, and at less than $4 (Euro 3.60), which is unbelievable. Outdoor play area for children. Easy bus ride, if you're traveling by train to nearby towns.

Park yourself at the tennis club in the back and be amazed by this big brewery. It has a huge terrace which is always full when good weather, simply because this place is just amazing. The staff is really friendly, even though they have to serve so much beer greedy people and run 10km in a day. Brouwerij Wilderen is brewing beer, whiskey and gin. The blond beers, Wilderen Goud and Kannunik are very tasty. There is also a smalls shop where you can buy all different alcohol at democratic prices. Did not order food here, but looks like they serve good tapas. Definitely a hotspot to enjoy the good weather!

The Hergé Museum, located an hour south of Brussels, is a modern building that showcases the works of cartoonist Georges Remi, known for creating the beloved character Tintin. The museum offers engaging audio tours and features an extensive display of models, pictures, and source materials used by the artist. Visitors can also admire the original triptych portrait of Hergé by Andy Warhol. The museum's gift shop is also a noteworthy attraction.
A fantastic way to spend a couple of hours in Belgium. This museum is located 40minutes away from Brussels by train but is well worth the visit. The interactive quiz that guests solve as they walk through the museum is an uniquely engaging strategy indeed. The props and storyboards as well as the audio guide make the world of Herge come alive. The museum gift shop is also lovely with some items priced decently so that no one leaves for home empty handed. A must see place when visiting Belgium.
Dr. B — Google review
First, the building itself is worth the visit: superb architectural creation that is both aesthetic and functional with lots of natural light. The content is arranged chronologically and is comprehensive. A fairly high degree of depth for the afficionado while also leaving the possibility to only skim and enjoy the experience. The electronic guided tour is helpful and entertaining. Any Tintin fan must make the trip to this museum if they are in the area. Easy short train ride from Brussels.
Frederic L — Google review
If you used to read Tintin as a child this museum will be a heartwarming experience, as the visitor has the opportunity to see the original sketches of the comic. This museum is dedicated to the art of Hergé who other than an amazing comic artist he had other talents as well, in Herge museum the visitor can also admire his lesser known works.

For any true Tintin buff, this is the place to be. What an exceptional experience to go through in this museum, so well designed over 3 floors. Each corner one passed one is welcomed by so many of displays from the Tintin creator. It is a great honor to visit Tintin exhibition and I would not hesitate to come back for another adventure with Tintin and his friends. Highly recommended for young and old to go for a visit there while visiting Louvain

The Hergé museum salubrate the founder of Tintin it is super famous in Europe like Desney for USA. The impact of Tintin was to learning to read understand and suck into the detailed ankmations in the book as well as all face expressions. By the side the city is car free streets änd newly built. Perfect walk from railway station too.

Being a die hard Tintin fan growing up reading his comics and watching his cartoons, Herge Museum was my main reason to visit Brussels. Visited as free entry on 1st Sunday of the month. Of course, this place has lot of Tintin stuff for fans but do keep in mind this is Herge (Georges Remi) Museum and focuses more on creator of Tintin. You learn about his family, inspirations behind Tintin characters, how things got affected by world war and there are some nice props from Tintin like Thompson Thomson car, Rocket from Destination of moon, Shark Submarine from Red Rackram's treasure. Lots of photo opportunities. The garden outside with Herge statue is also very good and there are free locker rooms to keep your luggage. Free audioguide can be connected with museum wifi to learn more about Herge. The overall infrastructure of museum is very good. The only sad part is the location of Herge Museum at louvain la neuve which is 1 hr from Brussels city by train. But when Tintin can travel to any corner of the world, why can't his fans travel to this corner for him?
Nirav P — Google review
Stunning design of the museum. Lots of information, interesting enough for children as well. I would not recommend it for very young children, they would get easily bored. Parking is a bother, but I had figured that out before coming so just park under the town square in the big garage. We got lucky and visited the museum on the first Sunday of the month which was free. The gift shop has some well priced items and some insanely priced items, bought something out of appreciation for the works of art that I had seen on display.

If you are a Tin Tin lover as me, must go there. It is a really nice museum. Museum has a modern building. At the entrance, is an official shop which has a lot of interesting Tin Tin stuff. I learned a lot about history of Tin Tin and Herge biography. It is paradise of Tin Tin fans.

Walibi Belgium is a seasonal amusement park located near Wavre, a city known for its historic castle and natural reserves. The park offers a mix of kids-only attractions, roller coasters, carousels, and an observation wheel. Easily accessible by train or car, the park has been entertaining visitors since 1975 and continues to introduce new thrill rides every few years.
So, we hit up this awesome theme park on Monday, rolling in around 10 am. Parking was super easy to find and cost us 13 bucks per car—not bad at all! Even though we got there pretty early, the place was already buzzing, so my advice? Try to arrive even earlier if you can. It’s a themed park, and honestly, the vibe is totally unique. Make sure you grab a guide brochure as soon as you walk in—super handy for planning your day. The rides are just amazing; I can’t even pick a favorite, but we ended up riding KONDAA three times—couldn’t get enough! The restrooms are spotless and kept up really well. Plus, they’re everywhere and even match the theme of each area—super cool touch. When you need a break, the food court’s a great spot. Prices for food and drinks are pretty fair for a place like this, so no complaints there. Every corner of the park looks fantastic, and I took a ton of photos—couldn’t help myself! The staff were super helpful, and loads of them spoke English, French, or Dutch, so communication was a breeze. If you want to chill, there are plenty of tables and chairs for picnics, and you’re allowed to bring your own food and drinks, which is awesome. And when it’s time for a ride, there are lockers right there so you can stash your stuff and grab it after—super convenient. Honestly, for what you pay, you get so much out of it. I’d totally recommend bringing your friends or family here for a fun day out. Big thanks to all the Walibi Belgium team for making our visit so memorable!

The waiting times are not that bad when we went on a Saturday, one week after school starts. The map is easy to understand and navigate. The bathrooms are everywhere, be easily located and well maintained. So many food options. AND, they are not that strict with food and drinks! You can bring your own snacks and eat even while queueing. The only downside we felt was, the very short time of rides… we felt a little unsatisfied for each thrills.
The G — Google review
It's a fun theme park with lots of different rides and things to do for all ages. The themes are executed well and everything looks very clean. I do recommend you skip the werewolf and vampire rollercoasters as you're more likely to get out of those two with some injury than without. Some of the staff look and act like they don't give a ..., which is a bummer and takes away from the fact that overall, you can enjoy quite a nice day here.

So proud that this is mine home park. Can recomend i try to visit as often as possible. Sadly its only weekend based operations but still it is the best park in Belgium. Best is to start with Mecalodon and from there go to Kondaa and then rest of the park. Warning the park gets crowded on haloween but christmass is suoer empty

I must say that in last two weeks we were at 6 different parks in NL and BE. But this one is from today my favorite? On app that you download for free you can see waiting time on all attractions. Food is delicious and not expensive! Also waiting time is or at least was not more then 35min at that was only on one attraction. So easy can go on other one and wait just 5min. Personal is very nice. What i also must mention is the environment, the places are very nicely managed and create perfect atmosfere.
Marek P — Google review
Terrible experience. You already pay extra for the Halloween edition (€57), and once inside, the haunted houses cost even more (€8,50). There was one haunted house free, but when we wanted to queue for it, we were told it had closed at 20:30, even though it stayed open until 22h. When we asked why, we were told, “It’s closed, can’t you see that?” with no explanation given. The food was also extremely overpriced: €9 for a dry sandwich and €6 for six tiny churros. The waiting times were even worse. Some rides had queues of more than 1.5 hours, and two attractions were out of order. To make matters worse, there were very few “freaks” or actors in costume. Only four zones had scare actors walking around, while the rest of the park there weren't. They could have done this so much better. And don’t forget the €13 parking fee at the end of the day! It was a disastrous day, definitely not recommended, and it will be the last time we visit. Please reduce the park’s capacity, that would make the experience much more enjoyable for everyone.

Waterloo Battlefield in Belgium is a must-visit for military enthusiasts and tourists alike. The underground museum and visitor center offer immersive multimedia exhibits on the 1815 Battle of Waterloo, one of the bloodiest battles in history. While there are few remains of the battlefield today, it serves as a place for reflection and contemplation. The new museum presents updated historical findings, debunking myths and reevaluating the roles of different parties involved.
Immersive and unforgettable! A fantastic experience from start to finish. The 3D movie was a real highlight—so well done and emotional. The museum is super interactive, with creative displays, sound effects, and hands-on elements that make the history feel alive. The outdoor reenactment camp and Lion’s Mound added to the atmosphere, and everything is really well organized and accessible. Perfect for history lovers and curious visitors alike!

The museum is interactive and tells a very well thought out story. The details are everywhere from fun little Lego characters to computer screens that either tell cool stories or morph between images from what's on the screen to what's behind it. Very cool displays throughout the museum. I was also loving the presentation of the battlefield by the use of telescopes to find the moving soldiers on the battlefields throughout different dates. Everything was engaging and creative and had multiple languages. Definitely recommend a visit. We took our 12 year old and she was engaged in parts and not so much on others.

Visiting the Battle of Waterloo remembrance site is a fascinating journey into one of the most pivotal moments in European history. The museum does an excellent job of bringing the past to life, showcasing the events that marked both the rise and fall of Napoleon Bonaparte. Through immersive exhibits and detailed displays, it offers a deep understanding of how this single battle reshaped the political landscape of Europe for decades to come. A highlight of the visit is climbing the 41-meter-high Lion’s Mound, the impressive monument built by King William I of the Netherlands to commemorate the battle. From the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view over the former battlefields—an awe-inspiring sight that helps you imagine the scale and intensity of the conflict that unfolded there in 1815. Overall, the Waterloo remembrance site and museum provide a meaningful and educational experience for anyone interested in European history, military strategy, or the legacy of Napoleon’s empire. It’s a place where history truly comes alive.

The Waterloo Battlefield experience is truly fantastic and incredibly well-organized. You begin your journey in a superb museum that expertly guides you through the intricate history of the Battle of Waterloo and Napoleon's significant role. The exhibits are exceptionally well-made, enhanced by an engaging audio guide accessible via your phone, providing rich details that truly bring the era to life. I was particularly impressed by the captivating paintings and their accompanying in-depth explanations. From the museum, you can ascend to the iconic Lion's Mound (the "pyramid"). The panoramic view from the top is absolutely breathtaking, offering a clear perspective of the battlefield. There's also a detailed plan indicating the real positions of the warring factions, which is incredibly helpful for visualizing the conflict. A real highlight for me was the immersive acting experience, where you handle a wooden musket and learn to march like the troops before battle. Furthermore, the shooting simulation is beautifully crafted, brilliantly capturing the essence and intensity of what it must have been like to be amidst a real fight. This entire site is stunning and comes highly recommended for a visit with both kids and friends.

Had a great experience at the Waterloo battlefield, Lion’s Mound and the museum. Surreal to walk around the grounds and learn even more about the place and battle that ultimately ended Napoleon’s reign. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, the experience is value for money and it’s worth a trip!

Napoleon’s final defeat happened here, and the museum very closely captures what took place. Basic tour was great, with visit to the top. A lot of stairs, so if you are used to less walking those please consider. Additional extra there is also a Lego-exhibition for children or lego-enthusiasts. Reserve around 1,5h to check all.

If you love history this is a must see. Located a few miles outside the town if Waterloo, the battered is well preserved (except for the fact that they dug up a portion of it to build the Lion Mound). There's a nice modern museum and on-site restaurant (with bathrooms). A huge and detailed 3D model of the battlefield is in the museum and it is worth studying. Also, it's a good idea to read up on the battle and how it progressed before coming because they don't do a very through review of that. The battle was fought over a large area, so climbing the Lion mound is a good idea if you want to see the area in its entirety. The climb, however, is 225 steps at a fairly steep angle so if you're not in good shape or are afraid of heights be sure you're up to it.

Very informative. Loved the Lego exhibition of Napoleon's life. The Lions butte is a bit of a climb; 226 steps but the views at the top of the battlefield site are well worth it.

The Kessel-Lo Provincial Domain is a large, popular park with swimming pools, playgrounds, ponds, pedal boats and petting zoo as well as a cafe. In addition there are sports fields such as a ball sport field and skateboard ramp as well as a roller skating rink in the summer months. There is also an outdoor swimming pool open in the summer. The park has educational attractions such as a traffic park and bee house.
It's an exceptionaly cozy & beautiful location when the day it's warm and there is nothing to do around, so why not go there? Wander in nature, spot animals from the viewpoint or around the area, let your children play in playgrounds, or have a solo/family picnic

It is a great place to chill and enjoy the sounds of nature. A wide variety of birds can be seen here. This place is fairly big and is fitting for a nice and pleasant walk.

This park, and in particular the area of adventurous water play next to a sandy playground, conjures up an organised version of summer holidays spent playing next to a stream. My kids (under 10) love it. The only thing to watch out for, besides water safety and falls, is boisterous behaviour by some kids, as most will discover that one can also throw sand and mud at some point and they'll feel liberated enough to try this. It can get busy and a little crowded in some areas, but the play area is relatively well contained, so it's possible to maintain a decent level of supervision circulating the area. There is a charge for the car parking, but that seems fully justified. In the park itself they are remodelling an outdoor swimming pool, and there are accessible paths for taking a stroll, and various additional areas, including another water play tab, a nature focused area, ecological centre, sports facilities, and some sculptures.

Such a privilege to have a park like this! Small lakes, different paths, playgrounds, a small farm, tennis and mini-golf, and much more!

Still one of the most beautiful community parks around. The only downside is the frequent contaminated waters and the lack of adequate lightning along the paths in winter, which makes it dangerous for visitors and runners alike after sundown.

Stunning park for a lovely stroll, with a restaurant and cafe for refreshments, boating in the summer as well, play area for the kids and seating to just sit and enjoy the birds and views of the lake and surrounding areas. Have to pay for parking now but nice car park and it's only a few euros for the day. They also have a skate park, football and tennis courts and an area with donkeys and goats. Beautiful place, you won't be disappointed.

It's a nice place to go with kids with different playgrounds, a little farm, bees, lakes, special bikes terrain for kids to play in a safe zone, pedalo for kids starting 6yo, etc. There is one natural playground, and then there are different playgrounds with sand (the typical ones). There are two playgrounds with watee, one little Ploeterbad for babies or smaler kids anz one big one for sunny days. This is an outdoor artificial lake whit a playground where kids can have lot of fun. You have to pay attention because there are deeper spots with no indication. There is also an outdoor swimming pool for which you need to do a reservation, you need to be quick ;) There are two time slots in the morning and one in the afternoon. The water temrpature is most of the time 26°C and the highest spots are 1m30. Enough little bars/ restaurants to buy ice cream, burgers etc. (We didn't find healthy alternatives though, no fruits or so for kids, but hey you can take it with you too ;) ) recently saw there are also sandwiches ! Also take good shoes for the kids so they can have fun without bothering there is sand or mud in their shoes :p And also never a bad idea to take spare clothes for them :) We also went to Hal 5, 5 min with the car to have some good food (at Falafel habibi)

The forest offers well-maintained walking, cycling, and horse riding paths suitable for visitors of all ages.

Another beautiful gem in Belgium. Went there on Friday eve just before first shuttle starts operating to avoid crowds. Hyacinths are not in full bloom yet, but the peace around makes up for it. Saw a lovely deer too!

My husband and I went to appreciate the bluebells (Wilde Hyacint) that are in full bloom. It was absolutely breathtaking and I was so happy that I could experience it.

A huge nature park full of beautiful blue bell flowers. We hiked around the recommend trail for around 3 hours. You can easily make this a whole day trip if you want to. Nice place to visit around April during spring to see the flowers bloomed.

Famous for the blue hyacinth, but before they show up the forrest floor is covered with anemones, and at the right time, you will see both. The forrest itself is remarkable, also outside the hyacinth festival, hilly with great tracks and trails….

A wonderful park, 30 minutes from Brussels. Many hiking and biking trails. Purple Zvoncic magically colours the entire forest, which is an incredible sight. This is not a phenomenon. There are forests like this all over the world, but the Belgians have protected this environment well and made it an attraction. In any case, a good walk and a wonderful view.
Radovan Z — Google review
Very nice forest to take a walk - even without the beautiful flowers! The park is quite big and the trails are marked very well. Can be quite cold, as the sunshine is blocked by the trees - but that can be a plus in the hot summer months. The are several parking spots, which can be seen on the map of the park in one of the attached photos.

Get prepared to walk amidst tall green trees. Walking, cycling, horse ride paths are well maintained. Kids friendly, solo, groups, family- a place for everyone to relax. Enough parking areas around the little forest. During this hyacinth festival, there are free buses running from Halle station during weekends. Tables to sit here and there. A good picnic spot, no entrance ticket. Blue bells all around is a wonderful sight to walk. Visitors leave the place as it is and pick your trash.
