Steam train on a regular line. A spectacular day out. It’s a regular line and engine, now maintained by a volunteer organisation. There are both steam and diesel engines. The carriage has a great bar with local beers. The shops at the station have interesting gifts. People are super friendly.

Small,but perfectly formed line,with immaculately preserved stations. Staff very personable,great carriage stock,and excellent value for money,with a great addition of the museum,adding to the all round experience. Fantastic to be on the iconic platform, as featured in the Railway Children,and of course,the quaint smallest station in Britain. My son is a railway enthusiast,and adored it. Highly recommended

Really enjoyable train ride. Good views. Travelled in a carriage that didn't have a bar, however when stopping at Keighley and Oxenhope, there's enough time to get off and grab a drink. Great for kids too. Some carriages are accessible for prams. Would advise getting on earlier, we got off in the evening and it was getting busy

I myself recently re-visited the historically renowned keighley & worth valley railway on saturday 8th of November 2025 (with my P.A. accompanying me), we travelled by train from morley/leeds all the way up to keighley... went up the steps and across back in time once again as we descended onto platforms 3 & 4 for the heritage train bound for oxenhope, Throughout my latest revisit to west yorkshire's branch line heritage railway, We checked out the successfully uniquely restored old water tower/column on platform 4 - which I consider a splendid site to behold - whilst we waited for the oxenhope-bound passenger train, which was hauled by that brilliantly uplifting ex-LMS stanier black five tender locomotive number 44932 that gave us (and the rest of the other passengers) an enjoyable train journeying up the valley of the river behind the KWVR's very name (as well as it's nature), It was great revisiting all the stations along the line, especially Ingrow (west), Damems, Oakworth, Haworth, and of course the outstanding Oxenhope - from where we watched the brilliantly steaming balck five run-round it's train bound for the return journey back down to keighley, I also took plenty of photos, well, quite a lot... along the line, especially safely from carriage window, for whom I do hope the KWVR itself really likes them, as I hear by share some as part of my latest review on west yorkshire's branch line heritage railway. Hope to come back & revisit the KWVR someday.

Booked the Haworth Haddock and had a fabulous time. Steam train from Oxenhope to Keighley, fish & chips, on board bar and the brilliant Night Patrol played on the platform. You can pick your tickets up early which allows you to travel the line during the day. Staff are lovely, they all work hard to make sure you have a good night. Fabulous to see such enthusiasm. Well worth a visit but if you get the chance for one of their themed events definitely book it!

£16 for full line return £23 for all day hop on, hop off Lovely journey with picturesque views. Some journeys are diesel, others steam. Check which ones but some have hot drinks and snacks available on board too.

A lovely day out. Diesel and steam were running. The engine sheds were open and very informative. All the staff working that day were friendly and helpful. We bought a Rover ticket which allowed us to hop off at station's along the line.

York is a wonderful town and well worth a visit. It's easy to park and the historic center is perfectly easy walkable. And the centerpiece of course is the massive York Minster. It's an Anglican cathedral. The first record of a church on the site dates to 627, but the bulk of the building was constructed between 1220 and 1472.The minster retains most of its medieval stained glass, a significant survival among European churches. The Minster stands tall at a max. tower height of 235 feet (72 m) and is visible from far away. Good if you get lost...just look out for the Minster. And it is a really impressive piece of history, art and architecture. Really amazes you when you first walk up to it. There are so many details to find, to explore. To think how long it's been standing here - surviving quite the fire in 1984. We didn't go in this time around, but that's surely something for another visit. Not sure it's always as windy as it was when we've visited (August), but boy....did it almost blow us away at Precentors Court on the west side of the Minster. So, hold on your hats! Definitely a must do - probably THE must-do when in York.

Visiting York Minster was a truly unforgettable experience! Walking through those magnificent stone arches made me feel completely lost in history. The stained glass windows, shimmering with colour, and the intricate craftsmanship throughout the cathedral left me in awe. The highlight was the climb up the Central Tower. Each step revealed glimpses of the cathedral’s inner structure, offering a rare perspective on its monumental design. Reaching the summit, I was rewarded with the most breathtaking panoramic view of York!

Beautiful cathedral! Would recommend everyone to see this if in the UK. The architecture was astonishing, both inside and out. So lovely hearing church bells again, it really uplifts the soul. Only thing is it’s expensive to go inside and I would advise you buy tickets before hand.

York minister is an absolutely stunning cathedral, the architecture, stained glass windows and stone carvings are spectacular. The staff are very friendly and there is also a free guided tour. I would definitely recommend, it’s a must see if you visit York.

Hard to stress how important this place is! Walking distance from the Station, its worth the £20 admission fee. There are many medieval Stained glass windows, all worth a close look. The Great East Window, recently restored is a National Treasure, depicting the Revelation, constructed from 1405-8, the single largest expanse of medieval glass in Britain. A long camera lens or binoculars recommended! Dont forget the Zouche chapel and The Chapter House too. Plenty of other interesting things to see as well.

We visited York Chocolate Story yesterday and had a fantastic time on the tour with Amy. The tour itself was informative, interactive, and engaging - and the chocolate tasting was especially enjoyable! Amy's delivery of the tour was equally as engaging, funny, and captivating. The tour was well paced and we felt the experience was good value for money! Staff in the shop were friendly and the variety within the experience was enjoyable. We really enjoyed our visit to the York Chocolate Story and would recommend a visit for all ages!

Very interesting story on 3 floors. (small lift available). Well presented history, but not many seats available in each period room for those with walking sticks. Few free chocolates too. Interesting and unusual chocolate items in shop.

Highly recommend and worth the entry fee. Very informative and interesting tour our guide Josh was engaging and knowledgeable. The exhibits are a mix of fun and Information and very interactive. With lots free sample. We added the truffle making and lolly workshop which was good fun too. I'll add we are 2 fully grown adults and still enjoyed it, so not just for kids.

This hour long tour was interactive & fun for people of all ages. Josh was engaging and entertaining getting everyone involved in the history of chocolate in York! We got lots of tastes and even made our own chocolate lolly. Highly recommend with or without kids.

A lot of fun and very interesting! We were a small group, so it was really intimate, and got to learn a lot about the history of chocolate production in York and how it's developed over time! I'd also signed up for truffle making, which was a lot of fun! Would definitely recommend! Plus, there was plenty in the shop to browse and buy!

York is a beautiful town with lots to see, do and shop. Read good things about York's Chocolate Story. We we travelling with our Bulldog, so we took turns visiting the shop. Got a bunch of chocolate bars (milk, dark and raspberry) and a selection of their pralines. Even though very busy, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Prices are very fair. The chocolate bars were quite good. But maybe not exactly our style. Or maybe I'm biased because I'm Swiss :D But the pralines were divine! Pieces of art. Tasted as amazing as they looked. Really up there with the very best ones we've had yet. All kinds of ingredients and fillings. Just amazingly tasty. Surely we'll be back for more whenever we're back in York.

A fantastic tour with the wonderful Harriet! Her enthusiasm and love for this place was clearly evident. She made the tour worth while. We managed to have our own sneaky tour as no one else turned up but this meant more chocolate throughout. A great way to learn and appreciate the confectionary we enjoy daily.

Second time back to York and loved it as much as I did previously. Sadly The Shambles was very much crowded and couldn't get the photos we were wanting to take, but I guess it's a tourist attraction and there are lots who want to go and see this anyways!

Wow!!! What a magical street- fantastic if you are a Harry Potter fan!!! We went fairly early in the morning as I can image it would get very busy and crowded later in the day. The Christmas shop …. ❤️ wow!!!

Beautiful buildings, almost like you’ve gone back in time. If you want good photos you have to get there at the crack of dawn before it gets rammed with tourists. I got there at 6:30am to snap these shots. Wonderful

I loved the Shambles. Yes, it is crowded and attracts tourists, that’s no question. But it also has such a fun vibe and great shops. We arrived at 9:15 AM and it was almost empty. We got in line for the Ghost Merchants. Arriving early allows you to enjoy the street before it gets super busy. The eateries were great and the employees at every shop we went to were so kind and welcoming. Our entire experience was excellent. We came back in the evening during a witch tour and it was also quiet. All the shops had shut down and besides the unfortunate scaffolding currently in place, it was also charming and inviting. We did our best to enjoy all the shops (so many great ones!) and avoided any place that would provide royalties to she who shall not be named. Really loved our time here.

Some lovely shops, we waited an hour to get in the ghost merchants but it went quickly and it was worth it. Lovely street just very busy.

Loved this, great ride underground. Children will love the animatronics and smells 🤣 also very interesting and educational. The shopping centre build was postponed for over 5 years while the excavation of Coppergate street took place. 😱

A worthwhile excursion, but not awesome. They do their best to make a good presentation, but as museum experiences go, this is a commercialized and fairly minimalist experience. The staff are friendly, engaging, and informative. There is an off putting chemical smell (likely the smoke machine) in an around the “ride” through the animatronic displays. All in I did learn some interesting information, but I could easily have missed this and not been any worse off for having done so.

Been a number of times and always learn something new. The staff get dressed up and help bring the experience to life. The interactive ride is brilliant and the museum at the end extensive. Fabulous and unique experience

The information that was given by the people running it was very factual. The ride was about 20 minutes long and was also full of information. I can't help but feel like if they used real people at some parts of the ride then it would have been more gripping. But as many I understand with the wage costs it isn't possible. Over all its a quirky little spontaneous thing to do.

Lovely experience! I cannot believe it I was fascinated about the hairy pigs, the fake coins and the skeletons. Very educational for people of all ages! The staffs, please pay them well, as they truly bring this whole experience alive! Especially the guy with the beard minting coins.

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but this wasn't it. It was interesting and informative, but I expected more musem and less theme park. The ride is slow and therefore good for people of all ages and even people who have motion sickness. They say you'll be able to smell what the viking village would have been like, but it wasn't very noticeable to me and I have a very sensitive nose. The museum area has some interesting items, but is much smaller than I imagined. The option to have a viking coin pressed right in front of you is unique and is fun souvenir if you collect things. We had a very difficult time hearing the person out front who explains what to expect before you go in. I think it's worth a visit if you're in town, but lower your expectations of what you'll be experiencing. Timed tickets need to be purchased in advance.

The animatronics tour was great. The smells were a little foul at times but added to the authenticity, which is great attention to detail. Definitely worth a visit, especially on a rainy day like today! 1h is plenty. The museum bit is not so extensive

Well worth the £17 ticket price for this amazing, award winning museum. Built on the site of the original castle, which then became a debtors prison and a women's prison. It was founded in 1938 t house the large collection of objects relating to the study of social history donated by John Lampugh Kirk. Biggest highlights for me was the atmospheric sights and sounds of the Victorian Kirkgate Street with museum staff, actors, in period costume giving their knowledge of the local history. I also loved the experience of the prison with the actors on video speaking about the harsh conditions.

Excellent museum well worth spending several hours going through. It's housed in the former Female Prison (1780) and the Debtor's Prison (1705) both of which have Georgian architecture. I had gone here 50 years ago and remembered the streets and shops of Victorian York they have. It was nice to see it again. The signs are very informative - if you have the time read them.

I am not really one for museums but being on a trip to York it seemed like the Castle Museum would be a good place to go! We spent almost 2 hours in this place and particularly loved the old cobbled street- especially with Xmas decorations! We also really enjoyed the prison with the film clips and some of the interactive activities. Well done for a great museum!

I had a great time here! Decided to visit the Castle Museum rather than the Jorvik on my trip to York because of my interest in the Victorians and was not disappointed. Visited on a Saturday, pre-booked but it wasn't too busy. Loved the Victorian streets, friendly and informative guides, the fashion exhibit, and the old chocolate adverts in the chocolate history section. Also a special mention for the antique 'gamesc machines, really fun that they're all working!

York Castle Museum – Tower Street, YO1 9RY (Visited Tuesday 18th November 2025) This is our own experience with this business, and we know different clients will have different experiences — but we always leave reviews based on the service we received when we ordered or visited. First Impressions From the moment we arrived, the York Castle Museum made a wonderful impression. Rowan at the front counter was friendly, welcoming, and set a positive tone for the visit. The entrance area is well organised, with umbrella stands provided so you can leave your umbrellas to dry before exploring the museum—such a thoughtful touch, especially on a wet November day. Cleanliness & Safety Concerns The museum was clean, well maintained, and easy to navigate. The bathrooms were tidy and thoughtfully set up, with small stools available for children to reach the hand towels or dryers—something we really appreciated. Accessibility is excellent throughout, with ramps, lifts, and easy-access toilets making the entire museum comfortable for wheelchair users and anyone with mobility needs. Food Quality The café is a lovely little spot serving drinks, snacks, crisps, and sandwiches. Perfect for taking a quick break before continuing your visit or at the end. Everything looked fresh and reasonably priced. Ambience & Surroundings Inside the museum, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of character—especially welcome on a cold, rainy day. The displays are incredibly well signposted and wonderfully educational without feeling overwhelming. The Victorian Street area was a real highlight, beautifully dressed up for Christmas and full of charm. Service & Atmosphere The staff throughout the building were fantastic—friendly, approachable, and happy to interact and share knowledge. Rowan in particular was excellent, but everyone we came across added to the positive experience. The museum has a great energy, making it engaging for adults and children alike. Don’t forget to take some 20p and 50p coins—there are old machines dotted around that the kids absolutely loved. Facilities Facilities are excellent: accessible toilets, lifts, ramps, child-friendly features, a cosy café, and well-maintained exhibition spaces. The ticket you buy allows unlimited visits for 12 months, which offers great value. The museum is also just a short walk from the town centre, with a public pay-and-display car park only a few minutes away. A brilliantly laid-out museum with lots to see, do, and learn—we highly recommend a visit, especially with children. I hope this honest review helps others make an informed decision.

Faboulous. The entry fee is well worth the visit. There are 2 halves to the museum. 1 covers different periods of time with memorabilia from ww2 the 60s and more. The other is the replica period rooms and a very well done replica street with bits to explore. Loved it.

I am utterly impressed by the artefacts and realistically arranged rooms from different eras. The clothing section is very comprehensive too. The Victorian street - just perfect. One feels like on a movie set, for lack of closer experience. I spent a ton of time in the museum and would honestly revisit!

It's a nice, reasonably priced day out for the kids with a wide variety of different animals from around the world that are well treated and seem happy and some of the birds come right up close. Just a few empty areas/ displays and only a few butterflies when we were there - but for the price and being council run it was good. Cafe drinks not overly priced either for a change!

Really lovely place to visit! Bigger than I thought it would be (and than it looked when we first entered). Lots to see, especially good for children, and a good mix of species. Some areas are sloped and are hard to navigate with a manual wheelchair but almost all areas are wide enough to pass through easily and visibility of the animals was good in most areas from a seated position. Would be helpful to have clearer guides/signs along the way for those with visual impairment (route directions, entry & exit signs between the different areas, high contrast on level changes). Café was nice; good variety of food at good prices, plenty of space around tables and lovely outdoor seating (two areas, one overlooking gardens). Would recommend

It's a walk through basically, good for an hour or two plus lunch at the modest café. Not a bad place to take older children. The only slight bugbear is it doesn't have its own car park, though in October street parking nearby wasn't a problem.

Tickets are a really good price, especially if you have a few kids. Animals were healthy and looked well looked after. Some animals were in hiding and either weren't in their enclosures or have verrrrry good camouflage - butterflies were beautiful but very sparse (more to do with the season I think), a lot of the birds on the information boards and small reptiles in tanks didn't seem to be there. That being said there was still plenty to see and watch. Took about an hour to go round.

Visited Tropical World in Leeds and had such a lovely time! It’s like stepping into a warm, exotic jungle right in the middle of Yorkshire. From colourful butterflies fluttering around to cheeky meerkats and fascinating reptiles, there’s something to catch your eye at every turn. The rainforest atmosphere is so calming, and the tropical plants and waterfalls make it feel like a true escape. It's not a huge place, but there's plenty to see, especially for kids and families. My favourite part was the butterfly house – so beautiful and peaceful! There’s also a little café and shop at the end which is great for a quick break. It's perfect for a rainy day or a quiet afternoon outing. A great spot for all ages, and definitely worth a visit if you're in Leeds!

The animals are well cared for but there isn’t really that much to see in the grand scheme of things. I think we only saw like 4 butterflies and each enclosure has one or two animals at best (on average, some have more) There are a lot of kids screaming and shouting so I’d avoid going on a weekend if you want to properly have a look.

Roundhay Park is a beautiful green space at the heart of the community. The park has something for everyone – from wide open areas to relax, to fun attractions like the land train ride and play parks for children. The lake is perfect for a stroll, and feeding the ducks is always a favourite. There’s a lovely café overlooking the water, and you’ll often find an ice cream van nearby on sunny days. The park also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including fairs and food festivals, which make every visit feel different and exciting. A vibrant and welcoming place

Nice area with cafes, walks, cricket pitch and a land train. Area was really clean (almost no litter) and the paths were fairly good; more than good enough for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Also the Monet Garden and HESCO garden which were lovely too.

Roundhay Park is such a nice place to spend a few hours. It’s really big, with lakes, open fields, and plenty of walking paths. There are always people out with their dogs or having picnics, but it still feels calm and peaceful. You can get some great views around the park too. It’s one of those spots that just makes you feel relaxed and glad to be outside

It was very fantastic yesterday afternoon and I enjoyed it a lot with my only brother and husband. There is a nice view of the lake area. A nice arrangement for sitting is also a perfect picnic spot with a picture perfect environment.we are delighted specially me because I always ask my husband for the "Ice-cream " they sell at the park yesterday its perfect timing and took two on my both hand like my childhood then went back to my childhood days....itsssss a Marvelous day out....thanks to park authority.... Going very soon there.. 😊

It’s my favourite place to visit in Leeds. The most beautiful and spacious park in the city with great views and landscapes especially round the lakes. You can enjoy walking, cycling, hiking or just relaxing having your tea or coffee near the lake. It’s the best place for picnic although it doesn’t have enough restrooms for visitors.

A fabulous huge open space free to visit. Although LCC have now imposed car parking charges which isn’t ideal. Disabled parking is free. 2 beautiful lakes, loads of walks. Wonderful band stand. Boathouse cafe and coffee shop at the bottom. Mansion house tea rooms at the top.

I have wandered through Roundhay Park in Leeds, where winding paths invite quiet walks and nature whispers through rustling leaves and birdsong. I still remember sitting by the lake one quiet afternoon, the sun casting golden ripples on the water, lost in thought as time seemed to slow. Beneath towering trees and open skies, peace lingers like a gentle breeze. It’s a place I’d warmly recommend to locals seeking a breath of calm and to visitors hoping to feel the quiet soul of Yorkshire.

Great british pub awards dinner held at this arena. The arena is very substandard. No toilets on the event floor level. Causing havoc for women in heels. Really poor toilets. Lights missing, door missing on the men's. These are basics. For am awards dinner you would expect a venue that is able to cope with a certain level of customer expectation. Security staff were very polite and ok point. If you are looking to host a formal dinner or expecting a women in heels and men who like lights and doors in toilets. This is not the venue for you.

Has been there for Simply Red concert. Well organised everything was on time. Not impressed with t- shirt prices but I think that maybe the band indication. Good acoustic. Overall good experience.

We went to see Simply Red in September. We paid £175 per head for the North Gallery. It was a mixed bag. The photos are what you see from where it is. If you have the choice between the back few rows that are high up and the gallery, take the latter. If the cost difference isn't huge. The view of the stage is unobstructed, but if you want to see the artist up close, you may want to avoid this. The description of it sells it as more of a suite or corporate box. It's not, you'll pass those on the way. It's essentially a self-contained, tiny corridor with around 15 barstools, each with limited space to move or dance. There is a dedicated waitress service, and she was lovely, although you receive one token each for a complimentary drink. I had a Diet Coke, which half-filled the glass. I inquired and was told they only served 330ml bottles of Coke, hence it was half full. It didn't look good and didn't sit well with us. Subsequently, 2 alcoholic drinks and the Coke cost me £23. The toilets are immediately outside, so instantly accessible. The kitchen apparently closed at 20:30 - it may not always be so - which seemed a bit like the DC. For about 10 - 15 max people, at least offer cold snacks or sandwiches. Maybe they do, but if so, we weren't told. The external entrance to the VIP area is clearly visible and well signposted, with a dedicated lift providing direct access upstairs. If the cost wasn't significantly higher than the high rows, we would use it again. Obviously, that's an individual judgement call. On the other hand, we felt somewhat short changed. There was certainly no wow factor. But it was ok.

We had a fantastic night watching Busted vs. McFly on Sunday. I love this arena because it's set up so there aren't really any 'bad' seats, everyone has a good view of the stage. Getting in through security, getting drinks and toilets were so smooth it was a dream. I need to say a HUGE SHOUTOUT and thank you to the wonderful lady who was stewarding section 329, you really made our night in spite of some miserable concert goers. PSA, if you don't want to have a good time, don't go to a concert of a 00's boy and and ruin it for everyone else.

I have only visited the First Direct Arena in Leeds once and that was to see Chris Rock live. I got parked near the venue were pretty cheap, with a really pleasant surprise that right next to the arena, there were plenty of food options outside of the venue so you don’t have to buy expensive drink or snack in the venue itself if you choose to. The arena itself is pretty big, and spaced out quite nicely so you aren’t feeling claustrophobic when sitting down or getting up to walk around the arena for the interval. Overall, I would recommend it, and I will make a trip back here one day.

Great venue, we came here for the first time to watch John Bishop. The drink prices are very expensive for 6.90 for a large soft drink is absolutely scandalous. But the venue itself is good. Only not a 5 due to extortionate drink and food pricing

Visited on 7 Nov to see Peter Kay. We booked premium tickets which included a meal. This meant we could enter earlier than the normal door opening time and through a dedicated entrance. We were taken straight to our table where we enjoyed champagne and a tasty 3 course meal. With this package, your table is yours for the whole evening so you are not rushed to finish your meal and you can return to it for the interval. There are also dedicated restrooms with Molton Brown handwash, a lovely touch! For the performance, you enter the arena through an internal door, so no queueing and then you can show your ticket to return back through at the interval. There is a private bar with lots of staff so queueing is minimal but you can also preorder interval drinks. We did this and they were waiting on our table when we got there. Highly recommend this premium experience, all staff were excellent throughout, our server was fantastic (table 40), and security staff were also great. It was so great to see Peter, years after we originally booked and worth the wait x 🙏💙🇯🇵👁🤣

I’ve been to many museums around the world, and this is definitely one of the best. The collection is astounding and there’s so much to see, you’ll need a whole day to do it justice. It’s great for all ages and you don’t need to have a particular interest in armies or weapons to enjoy your visit. The displays are beautifully arranged. The museum is free to enter and there are multiple free shows for kids and adults alike to enjoy throughout the day. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Leeds.

Fantastic day out. Loads to see and interact with. The historic role plays are very informative. A well stocked shop has plenty of items for all ages. If you fancy a snack and drink then the cafe has it all. There is a car park very close.

A must if you're in Leeds. Free entry and four floors to explore with a ticketed seasonal exhibit on the top floor. Pieces of armour and weapons from all around the world and from many different time periods, arranged from oldest to newest. There is also a peace exhibit. Most of the Asian/African pieces are on the fourth floor, which was my favourite part of the museum. Live events happen throughout the day, tickets are available for seated positions with standing tickets free and first come first served. Showing up about twenty minutes before start time will almost guarantee you a seat but means you miss time in the museum. Modern building that is walkable from the corn exchange and main shopping district easily in about 15-20 minutes. I recommend the walk in daylight hours. There is also a water taxi service available that terminates near the entrance and a bus that gets you most of the way there, look online for full schedules and details.

I’ve been visiting the Royal Armouries in Leeds since I was a child, and it remains a timeless experience. Some of the exhibits are clearly veterans of many years, but they add to the charm of returning time and again. It’s a brilliant place for kids – the interactive displays bring history to life across different time periods without being frightening or sensationalised. One of the highlights, as always, is the magnificent elephant in its suit of armour – though I still don’t know how they manage to get it to stand so patiently all day while visitors admire it! My favourite exhibit was a temporary film and TV exhibit in 2008 which I visited with my high school history class and was able to view arms and armour from the critically acclaimed Lord of the Rings and Narnia feature films. On this visit, we enjoyed the temporary Roman Gladiator exhibition, which was well worth the small entry fee (the main museum remains free). A special mention to the kind lady at the desk who offered concession entry for NHS/Blue Light card holders – much appreciated. The museum could benefit from clearer signage, as it’s quite easy to lose oneself in the vast collection. I was a little bemused to find Steven Gerrard among the Tudor plate armour, but equally delighted to see Princess Diana represented in the peace exhibit – a thoughtful touch. The visit finished, as always, with a trip through the extensive and tempting gift shop. Overall, the Royal Armouries is a wonderful museum, full of history, surprises, and memories – well worth visiting, whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth.

A wonderful place to visit. Free entry. Lots and lots of exhibitions covering many centuries. We spent couple of hours in here but needed much longer. It’s really well spaced out, so even though it was busy it wasn’t cramped. Air con was very welcome. Kids loved the show that was on. Lots and lots to do and see and it’s set at leeds dock which is also a fab place to visit

Go early to catch as many shows as you can. We were there only able to catch the last 2 shows of the day. Hall of steel is an amazing hall to awe. A showcase in a gallery called Make Belief includes knife crime which is important for kids nowadays. A display on peace is too tug away. Though it is free admission, they seem keen on gaining donation to support the operation.

Loved my visit here. The garden centre is fantastic and I only wish I had more money to spend in there! Massive choice of homeware, clothing, food and gardening supplies plus really nice eating places. There’s a small petting farm and also Wentworth gardens to visit. I really recommend a visit. Dog friendly too.

We had a wonderful day out at the garden centre yesterday!! There’s so much to do and lots of shopping opportunities!! We had our dog with us and she loved all the exploring. We had lunch at the back of the cafe. It was very busy, but the food came very quickly!! There were plenty of choices for all appetites!! We also went to the Historic garden (£2.95 entry) and explored the maze and gardens. There was a dinosaur trail which lots of younger children loved! The gift shop wasn’t dog friendly, but I loved it! So many gift ideas and foods for hampers! We can’t wait to return and maybe try The Bothy when we don’t bring our pooch!!

This has to be one of the best garden centres around. The grounds are beautiful and there is a superb cafe serving hot and cold meals plus two smaller cafes on site. The displays at Christmas are fabulous and some unique gifts can be found. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a garden centre with a difference, you have excellent catering facilities and garden centre products . Then you have areas for the children, dinosaur trail, animal farm area and then various ay areas and equipment. Plus, the entry price for the various elements isn't exorbitant. Quite the opposite. It's a really good place to bring your kids.

Wonderful large garden centre with enormous range of plants. Ranging from spring/summer bedding plants. Flowering shrubs - Camellias Wisteria etc fruit trees, roses, house plants etc. Enormous range of ceramic pots, troughs and tubs - glazed and unglazed (frost safe) Just about everything you could ever want, good quality and fair prices. Large cafe area too.

Went there on the first days of November and the garden had free entrance even though I saw some prices to enter it but the payment kiosk was closed. Great place to have a walk around and they have a labirinth as well.

Lovely visit to the garden centre, ate at the Walled Garden and spent ages browsing in the shop, especially at all the Christmas section. So well thought and laid out and dressed and displayed beautifully.

Amazing weekend out for all the family. Look for a hotel stay with extra day free park entry tickets because you will need 2 days, at least, to see everything. Park is large, good selwxtion of animals and animatronic dinosaurs. Lots of play parks, soft play, indoor play, cafes and restaurants. Staff in the park, hotel, and shops were exceptional and very informative. Costs are very reasonable for food and gifts.

It's a fun day out for everyone! There's loads of free parking, but stick to the regular car park unless you're staying at the hotel. The animals have big enclosures. You can find the feeding times at the entrance. You can buy a map at the entrance or download the app. I reckon the best way to see the Park is to go right after you get through the turnstiles. Head through Pangea, the dinosaur bit. Watch out for the spitting dino! It'll take you 2 to 3 hours to walk around. Wear comfy shoes. There are plenty of places to eat and picnic spots for the kids. Drinks and snacks are a bit pricey, but hey, that's what you get when you're captive audience! We visited at the beginning of October and saw at least 90% of the animals.

Very good parking and a large footprint. Contains several play areas and eating establishment's. A good variety of animals and good viewing areas. In windier/colder weather, be aware that some areas are closed off and there's a chance you may not see certain animals. Could be better signposting throughout the park in my opinion. Overall it is worth the visit.

What a day! I honestly felt like a little kid again. It’s been years since I last visited a zoo or wildlife park, and I was completely in my element. The staff were so friendly, the animals were fantastic, and the walk-through areas were an absolute highlight. Such a lovely experience from start to finish – I can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic place. Awesome day out, animals look very well looked after with big enclosures, originally went to see Capybara due to an obsessed child, nice little walk around to be within a few feet of one. Plenty put stops to eat or have a picnic. Highly recommend.

Visited many times in the past but this time it was for the Light Festival. Couldn't fault anything. Food options at The Hive are varied and obviously lots of things to do/see - although of course most of the animals were abed! The staff were helpful and kind , even after a long day of helping. Easy to get to and exit - but that's by car. Can't speak about other transport options. The Light Festival is worth a visit; it's truly a 'walk-of-art'!!

Nicely laid out, great attractions and plenty of different animals, it was nice to see them in decent enclosurs. Went for the Halloween event which had 5 sections to find, they was big ques but they didn't make you feel rushed. Will definitely visit again.

We visited in the evening for the low bang fireworks and it was brilliant, my youngest enjoyed the indoor play area first before heading outside, there was a nice spacious marquee with plenty of seating and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the fire artists and bonfire and the fireworks were brilliant, I had 3 children with me ages 7 to 14 and we all had the a great time 🥰 parking was so easy too a lovely stress free evening

Had a great day out at Pink Pig farm with 2 x six years old girls, an 18 month old and a 10 year child.The wooden rail carts and the foam party were the greatest ! The outdoor space is always a bonus when you have kids and there were extra activities on the field eg. badminton, hoop throwing, rope swing and zip line and more…It was a very hot day yesterday around 28 degrees?? The metal slide in the park was hot under the sun therefore the kids and unable to play on it, an open canopy or some kind of shade would have been useful also for the large bouncing pillows they were quite hot under the sun and unfortunately the kids soon give up on those. We would have liked more animals and more interaction with the all of the animals but understand this is difficult to safely provide. We had a great day out, great facilities at the farm. Enjoyed our picnic ,Stayed for there for nearly 6 hours.

Been to this farm twice and loved it both times. Lots of things to do, from sand play, to roleplay, to seeing animals etc. Not loads of animals but my daughter still loves the ones there, and with everything else there is to do you can definitely make a whole day out of it all. The pumpkin patch was great with lots of choices of pumpkins and lots of photo opportunities. Food is also yummy in the restaurant. I’m sure we will be back again soon.

Looking after my great granddaughter and wondered where to go. It was an hours journey to The Pink Pig Farm but I'm so pleased we went. If you're looking for a fantastic day out with children that isn't going to cost an absolute fortune this is the place to go. Inside and outside activities, snack bar and cafe. And of course the foam party where all children was so excited. Please, please give your kids a day to remember and go to Pink Pig Farm.

We come with two grandchildren 3 years and 8 years and both loved it lots for both ages there did not want to leave. And yes you do need Wellingtons towel But I did read that and we had them. The only thing I would say in the little wood aera could do with maybe little something for the children to find nothing in there for them once your in . But did not stop us off going in. We was at pink pig farm for 5 hours and loved it. And a big thank you for a lovely day and we be back . From Hull

Our first visit to pink pig farm, it certainly will not be our last. My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed their time here, lots for them to do and see the animals. The Halloween event was excellent, far better than others we have been to over the past years. The pumpkin field was beautifully presented with lots of photo opportunities on hay bales pink tractor and much more. Alot of effort was put into theme, we love the graveyard with Michael jackson grave and Glenda 🤭 We had a wonderful day thank you 😊

Had a great time today at the pumpkin event. Lots to choose from and lots of photo opportunities. Making the witches potion was also a good activity. My little one enjoyed the indoor and outdoor play areas and it was nicely spread out. Would be nice to be able to feed the animals and maybe have a few more, but liked the fact that they were named. This was our first visit and we would definitely come back when the new play area is finished. Great value for money with all the different activities to choose from

It was the 1st time we've been to Magna this weekend and we loved it. Lots to do and see, the big melt was amazing and got my 6 year old attention which is not easy to do. My sons favourite floor was the water floor and he was drenched when we came out of it. Luckily we had a towel to hand but it was good fun. We had a mix of a picnic and food from the cafe (the cafe food is expensive). The playground adventure had lots for all ages and my partner even went on the zip line too. The water park looks lovely but my boy said it was too cold to go in.

An absolutely epic place for kids and adults alike! So interactive and interesting it kept us all entertained for hours. I loved the set up representing the 4 elements earth, wind, fire and water plus I found the big melt interesting (a little jumpy for my 2 year old). The outside park was huge and if we lived closer we would be there all the time! They had standard play area equipment but standpits I couldn't get my 2 year old out of and a water park I couldn't get my 5 year old out of! 100% recommend and we will be going back!

Went to the Magna science centre today and it was great. The exhibition was interesting, interactive and quite inspiring. The place is massive but it felt full of interesting things to do and look at. I felt like I was on red dwarf at one point haha. My niece enjoyed it and got involved. The cafe is ok, there are plenty of toilets and there is also a good park outside. The bonus is that you pay once and get an annual pass free, fantastic!

We got there very early, highly recommend getting there for opening time. It is quite dark so be aware, it can be quite noisy so if you have a sensor problem with sound take ear protection. There are plenty of interactive things to do, you will be very entertained, great for all age groups, we went with a toddler and he love all of it ( not the noisy parts of course) They have toilets on every floor and seats for you to rest on every floor and entrance. They have a cafe with plenty of seating they also have a specific packed lunch area too with is different and nice. The food prices where good not expensive at all. They have a large outside play area with a dry part and wet part. Be prepared for your kids to gey wet. Bout indoor and out. Best are is the year round ticket

Absolutely fantastic day out! Can't wait to visit again. The park and splash pad outside is a day in itself. Our 18 month old loved running round and all the interactive things. Cafe was nice, staff friendly. Only thing I'd say to improve was the baby changing facilities were a bit rough and would be nice to have some stations dotted round to refil water bottles. Otherwise really recommend Magna!

Went today with a 10 year old. He started off looking bored, but after 4 hours had to drag him out! Very good value for money. The exhibitions were great, but often too dark to see the words on the exhibits. Cafe was ok, long queues at busy times and slow service. The “Big Melt” was a little disappointing to start with but got better, although a lot of small children were taken out screaming - it’s very loud. We then were invited to tour the factory floor - probably just those with older kids- I loved it, but it went on a bit too long, just looking at rusty old machines. Be aware, it’s very cold, it’s a cavernous steel shed with no heating, it’s often rather dark and uneven floors, and the Water exhibit is, quite wet ! Outside the adventure playground is huge and suitable for a wide age group, very clean and well maintained

Wow, absolutely amazing day! If I'd read other reviews before buying tickets I may not have gone but what a mistake that would have been. Went with a 9 and 10 year old and they enjoyed every minute. So many interactive things for them to do and so much to see. We could have stayed much longer, will definitely make use of the annual pass! The outdoor play area and water area is brilliant and a day out in itself. How anyone says they got round the museum in an hour is beyond me. I couldn't get the kids out! Was definitely not cold anywhere although im sure thats different in winter months but I'd happily wrap up to go back.

Been here before. Plenty of shops and food quarter to eat in. Stayed in hotel near by so could return with better photos. Plenty of security staff and shops clean and tidy. Had taco bell which was nice and hot. Popeyes which I found quite spicy. Overall shopping centre with lots of choices. Being on Sunday was very busy. And car park looked full. Xmas lights looked nice.worth a visit once xmas sets in.

Meadowhall is a massive shopping area right next to the M1 motorway. Been around a few year now and needs more upgrades in certain areas. Lots of parking in privately owned car park free for a certain amount of hours. Lots of big brand shopping outlets for everyone’s needs regardless of age or gender. There used to be a lot more individually owned shops rather than just jig department stores which is a shame. I would go in the week if possible weekends are mental. No supermarkets but a M & S so most things covered. Worth going to for sure.

Meadowhall is a huge shopping centre, so huge that I felt overwhelmed. At times I was disoriented and had no idea which section of the shopping centre I was in. Virtually every high street shop is present along with a few independents. My favourite shop was Lindt Chocolates. If you enjoy large shopping, you may live Meadows which has great variety of shops and eateries!

Meadowhall remains a bustling shopping hub, offering a mix of retail, dining, and entertainment. The Oasis Dining Quarter provides various food options, making it a great spot for a break during shopping. As for Motorfest, it was a spectacular event featuring Hollywood cars, classic vehicles, and even Transformers like Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. The event also supported Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, with charity. Visitors enjoyed live music, arts and crafts, and even supercar passenger rides for donations. It was a truly great experience.

Came for Christmas shopping. Place was easy accessable for my wheelchair. Beautiful decorations there is an abundance of different things to shop for and veriaty of food to eat

Love meadowhall with its range of shops and free parking. Plenty of places to eat too. I would not advise going in school holidays or as Christmas approaches,on a Saturday. It does get very busy but we enjoyed our visit on a Friday late November.

Great shopping center and easy to reach via public transport, has a train station. Plenty of parking. It's huge, very easy to get lost but that's all part of it. Pretty much every shop you'd imagine to be in such a large place. Plenty of good food and things to do. Definitely worth a visit.

A good trip through the old lead mine, thank you to the team. The steps down are steep but very manageable. The narrow boar ride through the tunnel is quite awesome, however I would have like to have known more facts and figures about the mine and tunnels to make it more interesting, also we could not hear much due to shouting pre schoolers!

This trip is a complete rip off. Hands down it is the worst ‘cave visit’ we have ever been on. After telling 8 family members I’d found an exciting day out we paid in total £176. we arrived at the carpark looking forward to our day out. Although this is advertised online I am still astounded that the cavern owners find it acceptable to charge £6 to park for visitors who book the tour. They ‘kindly’ reimburse each visitor £2.50 on arrival but then in the same transaction demand 50p per person each time someone wishes to use the toilet. Never mind I thought, the tour will be worth it. It isn’t, don’t waste your money. You sit in a boat to be floated along a dark passageway unable to hear the tour guide tell you useless information. At the far end of the tunnel I believed that there would be a cavern or cave to explore…. It turns out there is a very small opening with nothing to see. So you stand and look at nothing for 10 minutes and then get back in the same boat and take exactly the same journey out, I left the cavern not knowing any more information about its history than when I arrived. Even at half the price the tour wouldn’t be worth the money. My advice would be to visit the other showcases in the area. They can’t possibly be any worse value for money.

We booked in advance online for 3 adults and 2 children and arrived in good time to pay for parking and obtain the partial redund for it. We also later used the toilets for 50p too. Can't see any issues there. The staff in the shop were lively and helpful and ticked our name off the list. We headed to wait to go underground. Archie was our guide and provided us with our hard hats and we headed down the 106 steps to the boat. He kept us all thoroughly entertained for the 90 minutes we were with him. The 10 minutes in the cave at the end were a great photo opportunity and when we headed back, he discovered the boat had a power issue and he had to use hand and foot power to get us back! A great trip! Archie kept us informed throughout with some great stories....

Did the small tour here as part of our winter itinerary and it was a great way to pass some time. Sam, our tour guide, was brilliant — full of fun and jokes from start to finish, which made the whole experience really entertaining as well as interesting. The tour isn’t huge, but for the winter cost it’s definitely worth it. A cozy, quirky little adventure when the weather isn’t great outside. Would happily recommend. Speedwell Cavern is a 4.5/5 experience—unique, educational, and a little bit thrilling. It’s not a traditional "pretty" cave like some others in the Peak District, but its industrial history make it stand out. If you love hidden gems (literally!) and stories from the past, this is well worth a visit.

We had a great time here. We booked last minute as the weather was bad but this was a really interesting trip. Freddy was our guide on the boat and he made the tour fun and informative.

Had a great time visiting Speedwell Cavern today! The underground boat trip through the old lead mine was a really unique experience – eerie, atmospheric, and surprisingly peaceful. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, sharing some fascinating history as we drifted through the narrow tunnels. It’s not something you get to do every day, and definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. Wear warm clothes – it gets chilly down there!

Went to Chatsworth for the Christmas markets, light trail and to see the house wonderfully decorated for Christmas. Really enjoyed the decorations in the house, which was a nature theme this year, bringing the outside in. The grandeur of the house is magnificent, with a great history, you can wander round at your own leisure. There are guides in every room who are friendly and very approachable ready to answer any questions you may have. There are lots of places to eat and drink and some nice gift shops, plenty of toilets and amenities for baby changing and people with disabilities. The grounds are extensive and well kept, I particularly liked the rock garden, which looked lovely lit up. The market is very good, with all the usual Christmas stalls, selling gifts and food/wine/ gin tasting, most off the stalls I did notice were card only, I did draw some cash out and ended up spending it in the gift shops. The ground the stalls are on is all got a ground cover on so not muddy. There is plenty of seating areas for when you grab a coffee or burger etc.

We enjoy visiting Chatsworth House. This time an art exhibition was on display, which changed the experience in a positive way. We don’t always get to see the animals, but we were able to this time around. The weather was great. The staff were helpful. We had a poke around the shops. A lovely day out. I would recommend to anyone, especially if you haven’t been before

Visited Chatsworth Christmas on the 23rd November. It was truly a lovely day. The Christmas market is excellent, very different from your average UK Christmas market. The quality of food, drink and products on offer was brilliant. Definitely visit the Scone hut, they are truly to die for. Chatsworth House Christmas display is outstanding and walking the garden just adds that extra dimension to a great day. Add in the gift shops and the overall atmosphere and you will not be disappointed. If you are local in Derbyshire then do one thing, go to Chatsworth, its a no brainer.

The Chatsworth Christmas ticket gives you access to the House, unlimited entry to the gardens for one day, and you can also access the Christmas market (which is free). It’s a lovely day out and well worth the ticket price. Be warned, food and drink inside is very pricey (but what do you expect?). I’d recommend the Stables for something lovely and warm that doesn’t break the bank.

Fabulous visit to chatsworth house & Christmas Market. Lovely stalls to look round. You will love the house with all the Christmas trees and the wonderful decorations. The walk round the gardens were just wonderful too. So worth a visit at this time of year.

An absolutely magical, Christmas experience! The house itself is mind blowing and each room makes you gasp with how much detail and care has gone into each and every decoration. It was laid out perfectly and even had sounds and scents through each experience. The gardens were beautiful to walk through and the Christmas markets were spectacular 😍 There was something for everyone to enjoy there! I cant wait to come back again next year 🎄✨️🎁

Bought tickets well in advance to visit the house and also the Christmas markets. My family enjoyed visiting the house, it's very easy to get around there are a few staircases which you need to navigate. As the visit is in preparation for Christmas there are lots of Christmas trees beautifully presented throughout and the staff are very helpful and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas markets; having been to lots of busy public access Christmas markets like Manchester, Liverpool, York etc it was a fantastic relaxing experience to be able to walk around freely and visit the different vendors. Will certainly look at returning.

Compared to other castles and British monuments, this attraction isn't very extensive. It essentially consists of two buildings: a medieval mansion for receiving guests, and the castle, where the nobility resided. Furthermore, since the attraction was once abandoned, most of the furniture and decorations are missing or damaged. Despite this, it's still well worth a visit. The castle is built on a magnificent hill, offering stunning views of the surrounding area from the castle gate. The interior is also unique, and wandering through the rooms makes you feel like you've stepped back into the Middle Ages.As a half-day family weekend trip, followed by a good lunch, I think it is very good.

English heritage site well conserved with good information. Spectacular views on clear days. Dog friendly in areas without a roof, except for the café. Friendly informative staff. Fairly good free parking around Bolsover. Only negative is signage to the castle. Well worth a visit.

Nice little castle to explore in a great setting with lot's of ruins. The smaller castle is very interesting, with lot's of winding stairs, marble fireplaces, paintings, architecture etc. Some great views from the castle and there's also a nice walled walk accessible from inside the castle. I'd probably say it would take 2-3 hours at most to explore everything. There's free parking and also some additional parking nearby that you have to pay for. Also on site There's a small playground that is quite good, which is very close by to the cafe. We didn't use the cafe so not sure on prices - quality of food. There's also a few benches around so you could sit and bring your own food if you like. There's a nice gift shop there to, which is definitely overpriced but they always are. There's also a nice wetherspoons nearby if you wanted breakfast/lunch. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable here.

A very small castle, but my goodness what a history. to be honest you can normally walk around it in an hour but on my visit 25.8.25 there was a jousting display and static displays of medieval life with interesting talks. A superb family day out for all ages. I really can't recommend joining English Heritage highly enough, the whole day, and it was a whole day was fabulous.

Great castle and stunning views. We went while the Halloween events were on and my 6 year old absolutely loved it. I think it would have been nice for more information to be around to read, for those of us that didn't pick up an audio guide (they are hard to listen to with a young child running around), some short descriptions of each of the rooms around the castle would have been really interesting. But overall really enjoyed our visit!

We visited Bolsover Castle to 21st November 2025. It is a fabulous Castle, there is plenty to do for all ages. A very nice coffee shop and gift shop, children's adventure playground and plenty of outdoor seating. The Castle very interesting to walk round. There are some out of this world veiws of Derbyshire from the Castle.

Bolsover in my opinion is the best example of 17th century castles I've been to. Built purely for entertaining royalty and the hierarchy it truly shows how the other half lived. I recommend you book online if you are not a member of English heritage and allow yourself at least 3 hours to look around,free audio machines available for free which are very informative.

Sundown Adventureland is a theme park created especially for younger children, offering a few of colourful rides, themed zones, and imaginative play areas. From tractors and pirate ships to indoor play barns and storybook villages, it’s designed to spark creativity and keep little adventurers entertained in a safe, family-friendly setting. The park is most enjoyable for children up to around 10 or 11 years old. Older ones, particularly around 12, may find the rides a little tame compared to larger theme parks, but many still enjoy the atmosphere, theming, and chance to join in with younger siblings. Overall, it remains a super good family day out.

We went to Sundown Adventureland yesterday and honestly, it’s just wonderful. The attention to detail is incredible — everything feels so intentional and full of imagination. You notice something different every time you visit, and there’s something special for every season. It’s such a magical place for the kids, but it brings out the child in you too! It's so much more than just another attraction, you can really feel the love and care that’s gone into every part of it over decades.

What a wonderful place to take young children! Everything is designed perfectly for your little ones, with interactive displays all around the park, lovely rides and soft plays. It was a shame to have one of the attractions closed because it's not the biggest place already but I'm sure it will reopen soon. I must also mention the fairytale village which was one of my favourite parts! Little houses from lots of fairytale stories that the children could explore and press buttons inside. Sundown was spotlessly clean and well kept and the effort that has gone into designing the park has got to be commended. My children loved it! Lots of space to spread out and play freely... opportunities to meet the characters. We never queued for a thing!!!! Went on the rides as many times as we wanted and practically had the whole park to ourselves! We also stayed onsite at Wild Acres which was really cute. My only criticism is that the bed wasn't very comfortable and it didn't have a proper sofa to relax on when the kiddies were in bed. The hot tub was beautiful and the decoration of the lodge was so magical. We booked our stay for Monday to Friday but that was definitely too long. You'd only need two nights 😊

Absolutely loved our stay here, especially the children there was loads to do there, massive sandpit, loads of different play equipment, the cabins are lovely to stay in, has a small little shop where you can grab essentials, and an adsa 15minutes down the road, only thing I would have to say on the cabins is that the sofas are not comfortable at all, especially if you suffer with bad backs , the beds however are just amazing so comfortable, the fridges needed have a good clean and freezer defrosted, we had a hot tub which was amazing, all the cooking equipment you need is there. The food from the restaurant was delicious

Visited Sundown Adventureland during the summer holidays and had a great time! It’s a lovely park with plenty to explore and so much for kids to enjoy. Lots of fun areas, rides, and themed zones that keep little ones entertained all day. There’s plenty of parking, and it’s definitely worth the money. A fantastic day out for families!

I took a gamble and drove 3 hours to visit Sundown. This adventure was for my sons 5th birthday. I am so pleased we went ! I can not stop raving about it to my family. There are two massive inside soft plays. My children 4 and 5 absolutely loved them. There are walk ways in and around, so u can easily keep your eye on the children. We went in the 6 weeks holiday and it wasn't rammed. There are lots of seating areas and a large variety of drinks and food to enjoy whilst the children burn off there energy. The little rides were brilliant fun and exciting for the children. My son absolutely loved the barrel ride, and the tractor ride, and with no long ques he went on it over and over again! The entire place was well looked after. Clean and tidy! Staff were welcoming and you could see they enjoy there jobs. Entry fees include all rides, so there is no additional costs. You only need to pay extra for food. However, there's lots of inside and outside seating so picnics are welcome too. The miniture villages were magical. The children spent ages exploring inside all the houses. We arrived at opening 10am and left at closing 5.30pm. There was so much to see I advise two days. I can't wait to visit again. My son was jumping around all day telling me "this is the best day ever". And it sure was, for all of us. Please visit this place. You don't know what your missing. It really is a hidden gem.

Highly recommended. So much to do and see, my 3 year old had soo much fun. I'll defo go again but booking in advance it is cheaper.

It was our first visit and we hadn't realised how big the site was. We recently had English Heritage membership, so had free entry. There was ample free parking and the ruins of the old house and impressive newer house. Lots of interesting history and rooms you can access, such as Bess' bed chamber. Lots of tapestries, including one made by Queen Mary. Nice shop and cafe and beautiful gardens. Plenty to see and do.

A really amazing place to visit. We only expected to be a couple of hours at most, but there was so much to see. The visit also includes the adjacent old hall ruins. The house is stunning, and the interiors are decorated with the most amazing embroidery which hangs from almost every wall and room. The volunteers are very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the property. We took our dog and he was welcome in an area of the restaurant, which was nice as it was cold and raining. We would have liked to walk more of the grounds and gardens, but the weather put us off. They do look stunning and I'm sure on a better day would have been very enjoyable.

Fantastic to look around. Amazing house and gardens, easily able to spend a full day there and more. I could just look at the tapestries for days! Well worth a visit if you're into history or just beautiful places.

We haven't been here for quite a few years and we're pleasantly surprised, there is a lot more to see and do. The guides were interesting and knowledgeable but not overpowering like at some properties. A very pleasant day out 😁

Expect an expansive estate as the drive from the entrance to the parking lot must be a mile long. This property features two historic buildings: Old Hardwick Hall and the Renaissance style Manse known as Hardwick Hall. Bess of Hardwick was born in the original hall and had it renovated to impress guests in 1587. When her 4th husband died and she came into substantial funds she built the latter and present day manse. We were able to tour both with our National Trust memberships (via Royal Oak Society). One can climb to the top of the Old Hall for a bit of a view of the countryside if the weather is accommodating. There are no handrails, though, so take walking sticks if you think you need support while traversing the original stone steps. The Manse is huge and the tour is quite extensive. It is self guided but volunteers are available for questions. Some unique features are the longest Elizabethan Long Hall in the National Trust holdings. It has 450 year old tapestries hanging on the walls. There are also four noble women tapestries that Bess designed specifically for this house. She was obviously quite a talented woman. There are some gardens along the front and the back of the house, but not a formal designed style like you see on some properties. Parking was in a very large lot a bit of a distance from the entrance. There is a cafe on the grounds that offers a delicious cream tea as well as a myriad of other delights, all reasonably priced.

Intriguing place punched atop a hill looking out sadly over the M1 now, but back in the day it would have been quite the most magnificent spot for party's. Some old Yes topiary and magnificent Cedar of Lebanon stand century in the garden providing a great contrast from the pinkish yellow stone and unbelievable lead pane windows which adorn the hall.

A wonderful historical place of interest with stunning tapestries. We spent a very happy 3 and a half hours there. Checking out the history of bess's family, with help from the very knowledgeable volunteers. Strolling the gardens and climbing the 127 steps of old Hardwick hall. Then stopping for a very tasty cheese scone and coffee in the restaurant.

Had a fantastic day here. The staff were fantastic. The in character staff were amazing and so friendly and knowledgeable. Special shout goes to Mel who showed us round one of the caves. She was fantastic and a real credit to you. So funny and knowledgable. There’s lots to do up there. The cable car ride is great. 2 caves to tour and plenty of fun for the kids on the play grounds. The cafe was brilliant. Had a lovely panini in there and some lovely cake. We came on a weekday outside of the school holidays and didn’t have to wait for anything. Lots of walking to be done and some is rather steep.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience here today. It was our first time visiting and had no idea what to expect, but what a day we had. I’ve come to write a review because I want to give recognition to Lorin, the lovely guy that did our Cavern tour. He was so helpful, approachable, and even took the time out to stay back and show us some fossils in the final cavern, because my autistic son’s special interest is dinosaurs. He was brilliant with both of my children and made the tour really quite special. Give this man a raise immediately HoA! 🥲🤣

Great couple of hours at least spent with great views . The Cave experience is informative and interesting. The cafe is very good with great selection at reasonable prices. parking is in the station carpark payable . Blue badge holders can pay for time and get an hour ontop free. It is a short walk to the cable car ticket office. Just be aware that the last 150yard to Ticket office is steep.

Plenty to see and do. The cable cart was good fun being dangled so high up. The tower was great for the veiws and cave tours were both informative and entertaining. The staff are all friendly and good fun. Lots of walking involved, but well worth it.

Heights of Abraham is a fantastic family destination—perfect for both toddlers and older kids, with plenty of land to explore, play areas, and exhibits to keep everyone entertained. We especially enjoyed the Wombles exhibition—it was fun and whimsical, and offered something a bit different. The views from the hilltop are absolutely lovely, trampling over the Derwent Valley and surrounding countryside, making the cable car ride all the more magical. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about—not quite matching the beauty of the surroundings. I was also disappointed that they didn’t have a chai latte on the drinks menu, and vegan soft serve ice cream wasn’t available—both would have been great choices to round off a lovely day. Admission is on the steep side: adult tickets cost about £25 online or £28.50 at the gate  . It felt quite expensive, especially for a shorter visit, but with a longer stay it might be more justifiable. Overall, it’s a beautiful and memorable place with a lot to offer families. With improvements to the food and drink options, it would be near-perfect!

Wonderful day out, perfect for dogs also, they are allowed everywhere but caverns and the Vista restaurant. Food a little pricey but picnic tables are everywhere for a packed lunch. The cable car stops half way up for stunning view pictures.

Had a great little visit here. Really enjoyed the cave lighting show, the cable car, live band playing, beautiful views. Food wasn’t cheap but wasn’t too over priced. Staff were all friendly and pleasant to talk to which always makes a difference. Would definitely return.

Great place to walk over the mountain, enjoy water and have lots of fun. Get ready to spend at least 4 hours. There is parking facility and credit card is accepted. There are toilets for free. Carry food & get ready to walk for kms. Great pleasure ahead.

A beautiful area with plenty of walking, the path along the riverside can be rough in places so mind your step. The walk (fairly steep and loose) up Thorpe Cloud by the stepping stones gives stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Beautiful place, however the natural beauty is spoiled by many who leave behind all their rubbish. Fulled used baby nappies in the car park, left in the parking bay with bins within 20 yards, plastic bottles, crisp packets amongst many. The National Trust staff try their best to litter pick and offer bin bags to large families who set up picnics but there are still many individuals who can't use the bins. Maybe it's a strange concept or maybe they are just dirty, lazy people. This is a national park that should be looked after by all.

One of my favourite places to hike in the Peak District because of how gorgeous it is and how accessible it is for us. The stepping stones are always fun. The climb to Thorpe Cloud is lovely for a great view and very doable with kids. There's a £6 min. charge for parking (unless you have a National Trust membership, in which case it's free). There's a small coffee truck on the car park for refreshments. We tend to take a picnic with is instead.

I visited Dovedale Stepping Stones recently and absolutely loved it.The walk from the car park is short and easy, with gorgeous views of the River Dove all along the way. The stepping stones themselves are such a fun and iconic feature,great for kids and adults alike❤️❤️

Dovedale is a gem of a dale, I as a preference would say it is the best of the Derbyshire dales. It has a very nice river with lots of bird life, you can walk down the whole length. There are stepping stones to cross the river,caves which have been lived in and if you fancy a challenge you can walk to the top of Thorpe Cloud. On coming to the Ilam end there is a national trust car park and cafe. If you carry on into Ilam passed the memorial you get to Ilam Hall which i9part youth hostel and part national trust with a cafe belonging to the national trust,you can also get food from the youth hostel.

Lovely and scenic walking tracks with a no of spots for picnic. Lovely lime stone formations.. The tracks are not wheelchair friendly...

Lovely place to take the family no extras to pay unless it's for ice-cream or food. Helpful and friendly staff. Didn't use the water park this visit as it was chilly and on/off raining but that didn't dampen or spoil our 6 hours of fun and adventure. The falconry visit was great, the handler was excellent and his knowledge and interaction with the birds was amazing 👏 😀 Thank you Wheelgate for a brilliant day 5⭐️

We had a fantastic day at Robin Hood’s Wheelgate! There’s so much to see and do for all ages, but the absolute highlight for us was the Bird of Prey show. It was funny, entertaining, and packed with interesting facts that kept both kids and adults engaged from start to finish. The presenter really knew how to mix humour with education, and the eagle owl was just brilliant – such a stunning bird and very loud!! The baby red kites were also very funny, even if they were not fully ready for show time. A great day out, and we’ll definitely be visiting again!

Had a great family day out, it was great weather today so the children enjoyed the splash park also. Plenty of benches outside and tables and chairs inside to have a picnic. Plenty of toilets around and rubbish bins. Visited wheelgate a number of times over the years, never had any issues with the park. The children also enjoy visiting the animals and reptiles. A great range of rides indoor/ outside and always take money for an ice cream.

Fantastic place with so much to do. We only made it around some of the park as it is so big. There are so many rides and things to do.

Me and my whole family absolutely love this place! We love the animals, we got to know the Guinea Pigs so well and my daughters are happy to visit them each time we go there. We loved to see Capibaras for the first time in our life. We love the decorations, the ambience. Everything!!

Absolutely love this place. We buy annual passes every black Friday because it never disappoints. It's great for ages between 1 1/2 - 12 and up depending on the child. The staff are all so lovely and genuinely care about the kids which makes such a difference - you don't feel quite so nervous letting them explore and make friends on their own, especially in the Pharos soft play which is GIANT! It's literally an aircraft hangers worth of soft play. As a parent I really enjoy our days here because it brings out the big kid in you. Lots of wonderful memories 💖

Today the weather wasn't the worst, although there was no sun, it rained only at the very end, around 4 p.m., so you could enjoy all the attractions. The great hill from which you slide down on a so-called carpet/doormat deserves great recognition, great fun! I went with my son several times! What really surprised us was the pedal helicopter! It was the first time I saw it and it's really cool, suspended high among the trees, just waiting for your muscular legs to start pedaling and then move through the unknown! Really a firecracker! Unfortunately, the splash area was open but due to the weather not being the best, there were only a few people there, we walked in for a while, walked up and left, we will definitely come back next year to check out all the slides when there is sun ☀️ There is also a place with animals, of various kinds such as carousels and super cool two-person pontoons on the water, which by pressing one button you can spin tops or move in the direction of the steering wheel, there are two cannons on the side, so spectators or people standing on the shore can throw in £1 and then give back £10 shots, but both cannons did not work, although the staff was very nice because when they noticed that someone had put money in, they quickly returned it. The cannons fired at random times. Mini golf is also cool, but it should be added that it is included in the ticket price because there are parks where you have to pay extra for it. You can eat or drink something at every step, I also have a problem with the toilets, although unfortunately they are not fully functional, because I was in two different toilets and neither of them had hand dryers and both doesn't work. As my son said, a large wooden castle with large slides also works. There is one place that looks like a big fun place inside, but in the middle there is an attraction for children that has chairs around a pillar, goes up and falls down helplessly. Very nice, you can eat something downstairs, there is soft play for the little ones and upstairs for the bigger ones, but unfortunately despite the relative weather - it was cloudy, about 20°, it was very hot upstairs and after half an hour we had to go out to get some fresh air :) overall, the park is 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the friendly team working there is always helpful, so keep it up and I'll come back next year :))) thank you again 🥰🥰

Came here to watch Pink Floyd Dark side of the Moon in the planetarium. The show was one of the best I've ever seen. Amazing atmosphere in the planetarium. The visuals and sounds were perfect. We also had a good look around the space centre itself. Properly cool place with absolutely loads for kids and adults to do and see. Very educational and we will be bringing our kids to have a look. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely do it again

The NSC is an amazingly well curated museum with interactive elements and immersive shows in the Patrick Moore Planetarium inside, shows last 25mins. They even have a real rocket! and you can take a lift to see it from above. It's well suited to kids and adults (we never grow up really) and you can touch space objects and interact with some scientific tools and even play some games to test your astronaut potential! I spent 2ish hours there and there's still more that I didn't get a chance to experience. Tickets were £20 & that gets you an annual pass. The cafe they have is great too, they do hot food and good coffee and even an awesome giftshop! You gotta go :]

The National Space Centre is a fascinating place for both children and adults. It’s especially engaging for Generation Y and millennials, showcasing the Cold War era, the development of technology, and the first steps in space exploration in an immersive way. You can step inside a Mercury capsule, see how astronauts eat and live, and even sit in a period-style room to feel the thrill of watching a rocket launch to the Moon on a vintage glass screen. The planetarium, presented as an animated journey, is truly impressive – even for adults. It’s a wonderful centre for both learning and fun, and the best part is that with just one ticket you can return all year round. Highly recommended! 🚀✨

Where do I start. The place was amazing. The staff and the exhibits were exceptional. So much great information to digest and lots of things for little ones and bigger little ones to do. There were a lot of people in, but it never felt packed. The cinema show was brilliant and way more immersing than we thought it would be. The gift shop had a great collection of toys as well as interesting gifts specific to the Space center. A great day out and it would've recieved 5 stars if it wasn't for the poor cafe that was let down by a lack of choice and the cleaning of the eating/utensil areas which was really poor. The staff serving were great super friendly on all departments but the eating areas were disappointing. Still won't stop another visit to this wondrous place.

Located north of Leicester city centre, the National Space Centre is an amazing day out for kids and adults of all ages. Filled with interactive and educational activities, award winning shows on immersive 360 degree screen, and lots more to see and do. Super helpful and attentive staff, great gift shop, lots of space to sit. Buy ticket online for free annual pass upgrade without hassle. Kids could spend the whole day in here to learn and play. Bring your own lunch to avoid weekend and peak time queues.

This visit has been a long time coming, after trudging the M1 for three decades and seeing the brown sign for the National Space Centre I finally found time to visit, and it was no disappointment in the slightest. Many facts and exhibits tie into loads of classic films, articles and milestones from over the years and lots for the kids to learn about along the way. A great day out and at the moment (summer 2025) the artists elephants are all around Leicester. The planetarium is incredible! Please go and enjoy one of the midlands great attractions that you might have missed.

I been there for first time, lovely place with many different views. I can see there is a plenty space for car parking. Amazing location with foods, and gifts. I was so happy and excited to be there and to be part of this. I will share few videos and photos from this amazing place. Highly recommend.

Fantastic! I love the curve theatre, the staff are always really helpful and the shows I've seen there have been brilliant. This time I saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which was absolutely amazing. The theatre isn't massive, so it feels like anywhere you sit you get good views. This time I was near the front, but for the previous show I saw, we were near the back and it still felt like you were close to the stage and in good seats. Would definitely recommend.

What a fantastic place. Very jealous that our nearest town does not have anything like this. Very clean. It is well signposted, toilets, bar, reception, box office etc. Carpark is next door NCP. Access card accepted for disabled allowing a complimentary carer. Just a nice place to be. We saw Ghost Stories, via door 3 and the theatre was well laid out and comfortable.

The Bat Out Of He'll show was good. The Theatre the air conditioning was not working when it was a full show I found this very uncomfortable. I had a job to keep a awake . This should not be the case . I spoke to a usher about how uncomfortable and hot it was . She said there was air conditioning under the seat . I got light wide leg trousers on I didn't feel any. My husband said that usher said normally the air conditioning comes from the ceiling because the show full it was not working. JUST BONKERS SPOILT THE SHOW FOR ME .

What a lovely theatre. The staff here are so nice, friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful right next to the theatre. There a plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. That's if you don't want to eat at the theatre's own eatery. The views from the seats in the stalls were fantastic. It was almost like being on stage. A fabulous visit.

Travelled all the way from Londn to see the show. Great theatre. Will definitely go back

Visited as a group of three to watch Kinky Boots, the seats were very comfy and the view was really good. It’s a very modern theatre, you walk around the entirety of the stage and several toilets and bars are dotted around. The toilets were very clean and the bar staff were quick to serve me- for two soft drinks and a large wine it was £13.00. I look forward to coming back. There is a car park right next to the theatre.

Went to see Muriels Wedding. Really enjoyed this production at the Curve, good sound quality and set, liked the round stage. Nice and spacious theatre, staff friendly and really helpful. Left a pair of glasses there. Thankfully the housekeeping found them so they are now returned to us, thank you 😊. We live quite a distance from the Curve, it is not our nearest theatre, but would definitely come back to see another production as it was a lovely experience.

I have visited the NEC Multiple times over the years for insomnia gaming festival & always found the venue to be clean, plenty of toilets and huge venue that can hold a massive capacity. Get in here is very simple, but the word of warning I do give people is to book parking in advance as if you don’t, it can be quite expensive. If you do book an advance, it costs around £5 for the day which isn’t bad at all considering you will probably be at the venue for sometime. The NEC Provides such a huge variety of shows and I really do like the venue, I do recommend this place.

Birmingham NEC must be one of the best places in UK for professional events for businesses. I went for the labs exhibition and particularly water purification systems. Happy days as the actual company I had been dealing with was there and made it much easier to understand what it was i needed. Rather than what I thought I needed. Good follow up and learned a few new things while there. Easy parking. Shuttle busses every ten minutes. Food and beverages in the halls. Enjoyed the day. Got what I needed from it.

Great exhibition space, well organised, right next to Birmingham International station and airport (with a short ride on the airport shuttle). Plenty of toilets, including accessible ones and changing places, with lifts and ramps between levels. There is a large shopping centre just 5min walk away for even bigger choice of restaurants. The Classic Motor Show is a great event for the autumn, when all open air vehicle displays wind down. Reserve the whole day or two, as you won't like to leave! Don't miss the halls 7-8, as it's easy to overlook them. Thank you, Classic Polonia for your great display!

NEC: A Review The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham is a truly massive venue with a surprising amount of space. I recently attended the Gravity exhibition and was impressed by the center's accessibility and efficiency. Getting to the NEC was incredibly easy, with direct access from the motorway, which is a huge plus. What really stood out, however, were the fast-moving queues. For a center of its size, they've clearly mastered the flow of people, making entry a breeze. Overall, the NEC is a well-designed and highly efficient venue that makes attending large events a pleasant experience. Its ease of access and quick-moving queues are a testament to its excellent management.

We are so lucky to have such a colossal exhibition centre only and hour away from us. We went to motorcycle live show which was fantastic, all the latest machines for next year. At the same time there was two other events on at the NEC which just shows how massive and versatile this place really is.

Nice place to dwell on the past. Had a bit of a market on inside.. sadly I couldn't get past the helmet stand.. They also had guest speakers too.. Henry Cole and the main man Alan milnyard. Few other events on too.. got a bit to packed, so left for a coffee across the way.

Great day out at the bike show,my friend has booked a few test rides out on a few bike he likes, there were a few bikes I liked, which surprised me, the India FTR 1200 and a Dot which I thought was the best bike their, never seen one before, look them up ( Dot motorcycles ) they're not cheap but if you had one you'd soon have crowd around you, I think they start about 20k up.

Great venue. Attended to see the BK fighting, which was surprisingly civilised, clean and well laid out. Toilets were very accessible and the staff pleasant. The only issue was the ridiculous price of £9.25 for a pint.

I went to BP Pulse Live for Bryan Adams and it was an unforgettable night! The sound and atmosphere were amazing, and the whole event felt so well organised. I also saw Boyzone here before, back when the venue had a different name, and it’s great to see how it has only improved over the years. A brilliant place for live music and creating special memories!

Really enjoyed the concert that we attended here. We didn’t hit any big queues and everything was very well organised. Pretty much straight in, quick check and scan of the tickets. Seats were easy to find and the staff were helping and pointing in the right direction too. On booking I thought we would be really far from the stage but actually on arrival it looked much closer than expected. I would definitely book other things here!

great venue! highly recommend getting the premium tickets if you can, the lounge is lovely, you get two free drinks, parking passes and we didn't have to queue at all to get in. all the staff were lovely! could have done with more merch stands as the queue was very long. with the premium tickets there was an option to order merch and they'll bring it to you, but it wasn't the full selection. overall a lovely experience, and twenty one pilots was the best concert ever.

Visited for Horse of the year show. Facilities inside were good, and the show was amazing. The £20 parking charge was a bit steep when you considered what had already been paid for the event tickets. Sadly excessive charging for parking at captive events (theme parks, concerts etc) is becoming increasingly common and a pet hate of mine!

Great arena, I had a nice experience there! I went for a Louis Tomlinson concert back in November 2023, and the staff really honoured the queue numbers — which is very rare —, by putting us in order before getting into the venue. I got a good spot really close to the barricade and enjoyed the concert to the fullest.

It was great to see so many vehicles designed and built in Britain, but suddenly, to see the decline, even though it's been that way for a while, was a little depressing. Great experience though. The kids (2-7yo's) loved it too. Particularly the land speed cars at the end. Tickets are valid for a year so can go back again and again.

There is a lot to take in here. If you have children (currently Children 5-16 £8-£9, Under 4 s free - but cheaper with GO CV 2025) then it is filled with activities for them to do. I think it is always like this - not just during school holidays when I visited. There is a good range of locally built cars, bikes and motor cycles. The Jaguar 'section' brings a modernity to the historical units here, as does the Land Speed Record Thrusts 1 and 2. I was hoping to see a Jaguar C or D type but sadly not here. There are a few tractors, light military vehicles, trucks and buses, but the vast majority of the displays are cars and (motor) bikes and cycles'. The Triumph / 1970's / 80s sections were good - the range is fairly narrow as they are Coventry or locally built models. I couldn't quite get why there were some examples from Birmingham and surrounding areas - there were a lot missing if that's the rationale. Still, better to see them than not. It isn't as big as I thought from the outside. I like to see inside the vehicles but there were a lot where I couldn't do this, partly because of the way they were displayed - maybe not enough room? I think it was the unpainted monocoque shell of a Jaguar XJ220 hanging vertically - but I couldn't see any info on that. Signage was generally OK. The basic floor plan map (attached) could do with a bit more detail I thought, as could some of the displays. The 4D simulator wasn't working on my visit (30th Oct 2025) However, apart from the small bits of nit-picking above, there were so many interesting things to see. There were several unexpected delights too. Cars using fabric instead of metal, cut-aways of cars and car parts, some really unique cars, the 85th anniversary Blitz section, a huge collection of model die-casts (e.g. Matchbox) and much more. Definitely worth the entrance price - which is cheaper if booked online. The ticket is valid for readmission for a year. So, maybe when I come back (and I will) I will get to try the 4D simulator. I had intended to adopt a vehicle(!), but for £100 a year, that didn't seem good value on inspection. I also had a coffee at Baxter Baristas (enclosed in the museum. It was pretty good. The home-made cakes looked tempting too. The toilet facilities only seemed accessible if you used the cafe? I parked very close-by at Bishop Street Car Park CV1 1JN. Cash - i.e. change, or app only. A reasonable price for a heavily pot-holed lot. Not sure if there are any security cameras here - certainly not visible. No directions to the museum from here though and about a 4 minute walk.

Easily a must see if visiting Coventry. I'm personally not a huge car fanatic, but there's no other place where you're gonna get to see the two fastest land vehicles ever made. That alone is worth the visit. Tickets are £15 if booked in advance and a around £16.50 if booked in-person on the day (for adults). However, while the ticket is valid for multiple entries for a span of 1 year either way, I'd recommend booking online in advance simply because it's cheaper.

Brilliant vehicle museum devoted to products made in Coventry or nearby. Huge collection very well presented. Interactive section for smaller children. Cars, bikes, motorbikes, lorries, armoured cars, buses, fire engines and the world's fastest cars.

Great museum, with lots of interesting cars and bikes from all times. Including the record-breaking Thrust 2 and similar vehicles. Takes around 2 hours to finish the whole museum, take that into consideration when parking your car. The one day tickets are only available for Coventry residents.

Unbelievable place. Absolute MUST VISIT for any motoring fan. It's got an unbelievable amount on display, from vintage to absolutely cutting edge motoring technology. Wheelchair accessible throughout, lots to keep kids/families engaged as well as anyone just looking to learn about the history of motoring or Motorsport or car design. Staff were outstanding, particularly Den who was a wealth of knowledge and, more importantly, passion for the museum and local area. This is a place not to be missed. Could send a half day here easily. Extremely highly recommended.

Award winning Victorian Gardens, plus a coffee shop, sensory garden, a hothouse and events restaurant, a lake, monuments,a boating lake, ancient trees. Changing colourful flower beds . So picturesque. Art in the Park exhibition etc. Years ago the very lovely Victorian gardens used to hold a fantastic light-show. Thousands of people used travel by coach to visit. This year a small laser light show and an exhibition in the Parish Church, marked the past exotic, extravaganza. Leamington Spa is a great place to visit. Over 200 restaurants and coffee shops. Voted friendliest place to live in England several times. I've lived here for nearly 40 years. And yes, it truly is an exciting place.

The Jephson family have been making the Royal family's underwear for over six hundred years. Each item is individually hand monogramed and every item is hand made by true underwear masters. It's said that Princess Margaret was the only member of the family not to wear the Jephson brand but this has been dismissed by those in the know as a rumour started by a rival to Jephson pants. Prince Edward is particularly fond of the Jephson boxer shorts and has dozens of pairs in multiple colours. The gardens were named after the family in recognition of their undercracker achievements in 2004.

Jephson Gardens is a beautifully maintained park in the heart of Leamington Spa. The gardens are full of colorful flowers, peaceful walkways, and lovely fountains, making it perfect for a relaxing stroll. The river views and glasshouse add extra charm to the setting. A calm and scenic spot that showcases the town’s natural beauty — simply delightful!

Such a beautiful park in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa. Well kept gardens with floral displays and gorgeous mature trees. Lovely lake with an array of water birds. To top it off there's a lovely cafe that has great coffee and nice nibbles. Plus, toilets nearby.

Lovely place well worth a visit. Clean tidy and beautiful disability and autism friendly, lovely gallery and glasshouse was nice. Sensory garden was a bit tired and needs work but will definitely visit again.

Great place for a picnic and a family day out. Lovely gardens with a fountain and also chance to ride on a boat along the river. A walking suspension bridge to access the play area and the boat hire place. Easy access to a car park too at Rossfield street.

Huge, well maintained public garden includes green house garden aka Glass house as well. Surprisingly, never visited before despite in a way everyday..and my chance or serendipity took to this excellent public place..backside is Mills Bridge another epic small cute vintage one which connect to road on back.

This was a late in the season visit. Not all the attractions and vendor stands were open. It did not spoil the visit. The best attraction was the falconry quest. The birds were amazing and the handlers ensured that everyone was buzzed by a bird. The barn owls was majestic and graceful. The peregrine falcon was fast and precise. When looking up at the condor as it flew over was awesome. At the end of the show I couldn't tell you what the birds were, but the sky was full. It was amazing, worth the 3 hour drive for this. The horrible histories maze was fun and informative. There are peacocks everywhere. Other wildlife in abundance squirrel's, Robin's and ducks. There are plenty of seating and concession stands. There are plenty of staff who are helpful. Yes there are a lot of areas accessible for wheelchair users but it is hilly in places.

The knights lodge was big enough for 3 of us nicely dressed with a modern bathroom- breakfast was good too - I'd recommend as a short stay. Castle speaks for itself don't miss the dungeon tour - absolutely brilliant my son is 8 and loved it best £6 pp I think iv ever spent

Had a fantastic day with my dad. Birds of prey are fantastic! Really loved seeing them! Lots to see and do. Lot's of choice of food and drink. It's well worth the money. The car park has plenty of space. It's a good day out for the family or just going your own. The castle was really good! Something for everyone. 😁👍. Plenty of toliets. Clean.

Amazing! I enjoyed spending half a day visiting this stunning castle. It’s so big and beautiful, I could stay there the whole day. I love to go again.

Absolutely amazing visit to the castle for Halloween!! The special touches everywhere for Halloween were super fun. It was a great day out with the family with lots of performances, some Karaoke, plenty of food options and lovely views from the top of the towers. Definitely a must visit!!

My friend and I had a wonderful day at Warwick Castle. Such beautiful grounds and such an interesting place to visit. We loved the guides tours, so engaging and informative. The bird of prey show was absolutely outstanding.
