Ice cream shop
Gelateria Cesare is a renowned ice cream parlor located on the Piazza Indipendenza in Reggio Calabria, Italy. It has been an integral part of the city's history for three generations and is a favorite stop for locals and tourists alike. Despite its small size, it attracts long queues due to its delicious and authentic gelato flavors such as bergamot, pistachio, cassata, and more.
My hubby had the Peanut butter and Carmel Gelato in a brioche bun. I enjoyed Lemon and a scoop of fig in a crispy waffle cone. Both were delicious!! There is no place to sit but the surrounding area is nice for a stroll while you enjoy!
Raquel M — Google review
I recently took a trip to Reggio Calabria, where my dear friend Martina recommended that I try "Gellateria Cesaro." As always, I value her advice. While searching for the gelateria, I noticed the Cesare building, which looked quite different to me, and there was a long queue of people waiting outside. One downside was the number of beggars who kept approaching for a euro or less. However, the staff were very polite and helpful. The variety of ice cream flavors was impressive, making it understandable if someone feels unsure about their choice. I ended up choosing pistachio, biscuits, and chocolate, and the pistachio was definitely the highlight!
Meh R — Google review
Overall, disappointing …. Decent gelato, but not worth the hype. 5€ for a brioche with three scoops. 4€ for a cup with 3 flavours. Whipped cream is free. We tried mandorla, pistachio sorbet, Nutella (cesarella), biscotto, bergamotto, and stracciatella between us. Mandorla was the best, the others were fine but just average. Very very bustling at all times of day!
Jess M — Google review
As a pistachio lover, I felt myself on the 9th cloud here, tasted almost all the flavours available, most of them were 10/10. The only thing is that some of the personal were not as friendly as they could be, I hope it will be improved by my next visit :)
Almaz G — Google review
Enormous choice of outstanding flavours. ALL delicious and worth recommending when you visit Reggio. Try ice cream in a bun - you get a sweet bun and get 3 flavours of mouth-watering pleasure of your choice 😋🩷🩶💛
Elżbieta Z — Google review
It's so worth the queue to get in here. You pay first and the go to the ice cream counter. All this for only 3.50 euros. Fresh & delicious
Coral C — Google review
Please try the serving of gelato in a brioche (bread) 😋 it's really good! How to order? Get in line (dw they move fast) - Pay (cash/card) - choose gelato flavors
Helen B — Google review
An artisanal experience. Its pistachio varieties stand out. It's not uncommon to see people stop their cars, yielding to the temptation of a sweet break. This ritual is the best testament to the magic of this place. A grateful palate.

The Museo Nazionale della Magna Grecia, also known as the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria, is a significant cultural institution in Italy. Situated in Reggio Calabria, it boasts an impressive collection of ancient Greek art and artifacts from the 8th century BC, as well as items from the Roman and prehistoric eras. The museum's expansion has not only modernized its facilities but also strengthened its connection with the city.
A very well-kept museum with beautiful pieces and interesting exhibitions that allow you to learn about Calabria's history. Needless to say, the Bronzi di Riace are a must-see. Our guide was wonderful and explained everything clearly and in detail (my tour was in Italian). You can't miss this place if you're in Reggio!
Jose P — Google review
Excellent museum! We were 2 of 20 people allowed in the room at a time to see the Riace bronzes! What a luxury compared to incredibly packed museums in Rome! It is a beautiful, clean building with clear directions to take you through all the artifacts. The Riace Bronzes are incredible and it’s hard to comprehend how perfect & how old they are. Worth a visit while in the lovely city of Reggio Calabria
Raquel M — Google review
Really worth the visit, particularly enjoyed the smiling figurines on the bottom floor that seemed to be quite typical of the region. Well curated with a chronological structure starting from oldest period on the top floor to earliest, a lot of well preserved artifacts and historical context on these
Melissa R — Google review
Very nice museum. Not big, but having impressive two bronze statues from the Greek period in Calabria. Those are two out of totally five survived statues. Manybother interestibg expinats to be seen. You will need about two hours, maximum three, to explore the museum. However worthwike to visit it!
Nenad Z — Google review
The bronze statues are amazing. Admission is free on the first weekend of the month. It's an interesting place to learn a little about the history of Reggio Calabria.
Maria P — Google review
The museum is very well organised and it’s very welcoming. There’s a lot to learn. The statues are also very beautiful but it was very disappointing to see they’re in a room with white walls and no context whatsoever (contrary to the rest of the museum). Good thing we read about them before visiting because otherwise we wouldn’t know exactly what we were looking for.
Rui T — Google review
Wow! Seriously impressed! Perfectly organized with clear paths to follow, explanations in Italian and perfect English, touch panel with 3D reconstructions, perfect diffused lighting. Very interesting collection from the Neolithic and Greek time, very informative, I discovered brand new facts I didn't know (i.e. there were lead bullets you would throw with your hand during war). Impressed despite I've visited Louvre, El Prado, British museum, Vatican museum etc. An unexpected gem
Davide V — Google review
Really interesting explosion about other bronze statues. I felt really immersed in the atmosphere. Also at some point I was the only visitor in that room, which felt very cool. They even let me to come back to see Bronzi statues up close due to the fact it was closed for investigation and could see only through glass.

Amazing mosaics and the famous “Sistine Chapel of Calabria”.
Vania V — Google review
We were looking for something to see on our way to Scilla and my boyfriend found the museum online. We were not sure about the museum as it looked very quirky (I like quirky, but depends how much) as we drove up to the entrance, but were actually very pleasantly impressed and surprised by the art. The old lady that I think everyone refers to and I think is the owner asked us something in Italian and when we said we didn't understand she switched to English to ask if we had seen the church, which we had not as we thought the door we needed to go through was a fire exit. We went back through the door and saw the amazing 'church' and art there. The visit was part of what ended up being my favourite day in Calabria this trip.
Nicole B — Google review
As a lot reviews before..a very bad and unpleasant experience. We were standing outside and talking about entering and an older lady came otuside and just said that if we dont pay the price then via (leave in italian) and she pointed a finger to the exit. Mind that we were planning to pay the entrance fee and visit the place. But I'm sure as hell not going to give my hard earned money to someone treating me so rudely!
Dijana H — Google review
Greed took its toll. We were outside thinking about buying tickets (10eur) and an older lady came and attacked us, telling us to give her money or get out. Very rude behavior. I have traveled a lot, but I have never experienced such greedy behavior.
Boris P — Google review
Extremely rude old lady. Presume she is the owner. We were standing outside ticket office, discussing if entering or no, and she came out and said (in italian) if you don’t pay the entrance ticket then go! She was rude. Not recommended at all!!!!
Gregor M — Google review
A very interesting experience to see the integration between arts and landscape
Paloma D — Google review
Nice museum. I have to say, the story of the Nik Spatari and his wife is more fascinating to me than his art. The mosaics though are really nice. Definitely worth a visit.
Filippo P — Google review
Nice art but poor information and unfriendly reception. A specific issue is that either there are no toilets or they are carefully concealed: no signs and when we asked, the description of how to find them appeared to be designed to keep it a secret.

(Translated by Google) RATING 3 BUT... I was here only for the SPA. I'm sorry to say that it has so much potential but maintenance should be done and above all it should be checked whether the services are efficient. There is no dedicated room for changing or rather there is a bathroom which acts as a bath, shower (not working in my case) and changing room with various lockers with electronic locks (NOT WORKING!) There is no privacy and for changing it is a bit like a prestigious number worthy of Arturo Brachetti but oh well, the maintenance in the various rooms such as: the two hydromassages both without working waterfall shower and in one even a (submerged) LED spotlight detached from the wall, Turkish bath room with some shower heads that should be replaced, the two basins in front of the bathrooms not working, then shall I say some relaxing music? No, no total silence. I would recommend putting up at least a table with the rule that if you don't use the sunbeds they should be left free because for the entire stay the sunbeds are empty but with flip flops and a towel spread out on them! A positive note is that in the end you can still relax but for the price paid I don't see why they shouldn't do the necessary maintenance so as to enjoy everything you pay for!!! Another positive note is for the very polite and nice Argentinian boy with whom I had a chat. In summary Rating 3 but if it weren't for these small shortcomings it would deserve a 5 star, too bad. (Original) VOTO 3 MA... No niente silenzio totale.

(Translated by Google) The experience has been disappointing. We expected more from a 4 star hotel. We were two couples, we did the spa and dinner. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and had good views. In the spa we were alone and the facilities were typical of a spa with decoration inspired by a cave, relaxing and beautiful. However, the food is not worth a euro of your money. Terrible quality, few options, in fact we tried the two pastas that were available and they were each worse. The sauce for the noodles was gelatinous and just tasted like avecrem. Then the gnocchi was just crushed tomato with sausage. For the main course we decided on entrecôte with potatoes, it was better not to order the potatoes because even though they looked good they were fried but raw (truly one of the worst I have ever eaten) although I think they were natural, not frozen. The meat was the best thing we ate during our stay, without being very good, it was just fine. Finally, the breakfast, thank goodness, was included in the price of the room because it was not of any quality either; it was sandwiches and things bought in a low-quality supermarket. I want to think that since it wasn't high season (we were the only guests in the hotel) they didn't have the same conditions, even so it doesn't seem like a justification to me. In short, if you want to enjoy the spa and the snow, I would recommend it, but I don't think the hotel deserves 4 stars at all given what I've seen. With this review I hope that the hotel knows how to improve its service at a gastronomic level and provides the quality that its price deserves. I just hope they know how to live up to what they sell. Finally, I appreciate the attention of the waitress Ana, a charming girl who treated us magnificently.

(Translated by Google) We visited the Grotte di Sant'Angelo during an evening event for €5 per person, which included a glass of wine tasting: a truly evocative experience. After being closed for many years, the site has reopened to the public and now offers a well-organized tourist trail, built on metal walkways and equipped with permanent lighting, making exploration simple and safe. A visit to the caves lasts about an hour. From the small parking lot, the entrance is reached by a walk of about 400 meters and an elevation gain of about fifty meters. It's not a long walk, but it's good to know, especially if you have children or mobility issues. Parking spaces are limited, so it's best to arrive early or inquire about a shuttle service. Visits are normally guided only and reservations are required; however, in my case, the event was unguided, which made the atmosphere even more magical. Inside, the temperature remains constant at around 16°C, with very high humidity: a light sweatshirt is recommended, even in summer. It would also be helpful to bring protective helmets, as it's easy to bump your head in some places. The limestone formations, the spacious rooms, and the interplay of light offer a spectacular view. The beauty of the place more than makes up for the effort of the climb. It's a fascinating place, combining nature, history, and atmosphere. I highly recommend booking in advance, both to secure a spot and to avoid finding it closed.

Guided tours are available only, and advance reservations are required. From the small parking lot to the cave entrance, there's a bit of a climb, which becomes quite challenging in the heat. Furthermore, you can't pay with debit or credit cards. The guide was truly friendly and knowledgeable. For those who enjoy slightly more extreme visits, there's a speleological trail, but you need to book and check beforehand, as it's not possible all year round. I recommend bringing cash to pay for your ticket, as digital payments aren't accepted until at least mid-August. However, I recommend calling to book and ask. Enjoy your walk. The Ducal Castle of Corigliano Calabro, located in the heart of the historical center, is a stunning example of medieval architecture. It houses historical treasures such as prisons, the Hall of Mirrors, and baron bedrooms. The well-maintained castle offers visitors a glimpse into the past with its frescoed ceilings, period furniture, and torture rooms. From its tower, one can enjoy panoramic views up to Taranto.

Nice castle-palace of local nobles. 3 levels, plus tower. Very nice ballroom. 5 euros ticket, 50' min tour.

The Ducal Castello di Corigliano Calabro, is one of ‘the most beautiful and best preserved castles in southern Italy.’ Built as a military fortress in 1073, it was later transformed into a luxurious place of residence. In 1979, it was purchased by the Municipality of Corigliano, which completed the restoration in 2002.

(Translated by Google) We were at the Lilio astronomical park during the Stargazer festival 2025 in Savelli in the deep province of Crotone. Even without a reservation, they immediately welcomed us with affection. We could only stay one day but we still had the opportunity to be amazed and learn a lot about the stars, some astrologers including the unknown Lilio, the planets and many myths and legends about them. At night, we entered the beautiful forest next door, a Mediterranean forest with the typical scents of the Mediterranean which holds the record for being among the darkest places in Europe. We observed some fireflies and walked together with many citizens in the forest next door trying in the silence to understand how much life there is around. Given the tiredness of the long day (18 hours), we were allowed to sleep there on site for free in a tent or van. Therefore, with this post I wanted to thank and greet everyone on the team from the bottom of my heart. I wish them all the best for a long and prosperous future. So, an invitation to anyone who's never been there to visit this place and the nearby town at least once in their lives. In the town, by the way, near a bar whose name I can't remember, there's a bakery that turns out delicious treats from the morning... (Translated by Google) From culinary science, we now move to natural science, or more precisely, to the science of the stars. Not to the mystical and deceptive astrology, which we flee like yeast from a double-zero flour dough; here, as always, we seek quality, whether in the culture of the palate or in that of knowledge. I came here for an evening guided by Umberto and Angela, two modern-day Charons who, instead of leading souls across the Styx, ferry minds from ignorance to knowledge. And they do it with art: he, young and bold, with fire in his eyes and the precision of a celestial clock, distills explanations as clear as spring water. She, a wise siren, alternates ancient myths with scientific truths, and with voice and gestures enchants the audience on a journey between past, present, and what lies beyond. Two full hours vanished like stars at dawn, sustained by a language that speaks to all ages and a telescope capable of transforming the pages of books into vivid visions. And so the Moon, Saturn, and the Pole Star, which we thought already familiar, return today to shine with new wonder in our memories. Well done, truly well done. And as with Charon, the offering to be paid is light, almost symbolic. The only caveat, so as not to lose pilgrims: better signposting of the route, since the digital maps, that evening, seemed to have lost their bearings... perhaps they too were enchanted by the song of the stars.

Hot Springs & Geysers
A relaxing place, the mud really helps the skin and hair be cleaned from the oil, it leaves the skin very soft for a few days. It closes at 7pm which in my opinion is a bit early for summer. There's a restaurant and a shop nearby.
Eneada S — Google review
Sulfur healing spa with healing mud and two swimming pools with natural spring thermal waters. One swimming pool for the kids, one for adults. Separate area with mud for healing purposes and a connected drying and washing area - all with natural spring water and mud. Beautiful natural cave is unfortunately closed due to danger of collapse in certain areas. Sanation works are expected in 2026 when it should be reopened. All in all it is a very small facility, but a nice one to spend a few hours with the family, have a snack and relax.

Unfortunately, the place was closed. And it is obvious that a long time ago, because all the buildings were closed with shutters, and the pool was drained. Information that the pool is not open is not indicated on the website, moreover, on Google maps it was indicated that the facility is open until 18:00. We drove 120 km on mountain roads one way just for this establishment. Terrible organization, there is no reliable information about the mode of operation. The place itself is wonderful.

Museo della Liquirizia "Giorgio Amarelli"

Specialty Museums
The Museo della liquirizia "Giorgio Amarelli" is the second most visited business museum in Italy, showcasing the tools used in licorice production and marketing. It houses objects, clothing, and manuscripts from the Amarelli family's centuries-long involvement in licorice trade. Visitors praise the friendly staff and informative tours, even for those not fond of licorice. The well-stocked shop offers reasonably priced products and guided factory tours for a small fee.
Great place to check out when in the area. We got a very last minute tour by a very kind member of staff just before they closed.

Very nice visit with an informative English speaking guide with the prospect of buying some delicious liquorice afterwards.
Simon L — Google review
A great place to visit. Super friendly staff. We had a great tour from an English speaking staff member and despite asking her lots of questions about the details of the production etc she was a "gold mine" of information. Even if you do not like licorice the factory and museum are really interesting from a historical and technical perspective. The shop is well stocked and prices are reasonable. One suggestion: could you make signs above the boxes showing what combination is in the different coloured boxes? - probably you would then sell even more!! :=) Thanks very much for an enjoyable experience. Tours last 30+ minutes (depending on questions!) and take place (in February) at 10, 11 and 16. Check the website for more - including booking because many time slots seem to be booked in advance, probably for school or tour groups. Recommended.
Martin B — Google review
Visiting it second time with pleasure. If you're a big fan of liquorice and happen to be around this area, do not skip this place. They have a great range of liquorice products for yourself and others in a gift format. You can also have a guided tour into the factory for a small amount of fee.

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
AcquaPark Odissea 2000 is an expansive water park featuring a variety of attractions such as slides, a water roller coaster, pools, and a lazy river. The park offers something for everyone, from thrilling rides to areas suitable for small kids. While some visitors noted that the kids' area could use improvements, they appreciated the many different pools and water slides available. The park also provides various dining options including a pizzeria and bar with reasonable prices.
Huge aquapark with many different sections. Well guarded and very crowded during the peak, especially on the weekend. The only bad thing is that there's a lot of people that pee in the pool, you can feel the smell...
Eneada S — Google review
This was our second time visiting this water park and it would be our last time. The staff are very rude. I was not allowed to go on the slide with my phone and the cover. I asked why some people were allowed to go on the slide with the goggles, the guy started to shout at me that these were the rules and he wouldn't explain the reason. Lack of education and politeness. I wouldn't recommend this place!!! I attached two pictures of the two staff.
Eliana B — Google review
Mid park. Wasn’t the best I would say. I just have one big complaint that I really hated. When I slide down any slide, my back gets hurt and red because where the slide parts connect there’s a slight edge! Also do NOT take the white steep slide. It’s one where there’s two next to each other and it has a green roof. That one was PAINFUL!!! It was like sliding on a cheese grater!!!
Adrian C — Google review
Very fun place, but your small child has to slide on her own, you can’t even help her get up the stairs. Also I wasn’t allowed to sit near the pool for some reason like in the picture 😀 The foods were awful. They heat cold food up and it tastes like it’s old. Also they allowed smoking near the childrens pool which was disgusting!
Airiin Õ — Google review
Great day with the family. Wasn’t so busy on Monday in June. Was no hot water in the shower. My only complaint 👌
Oleg A — Google review
Very nice park! There is a lot of attractions and places to eat. Price for the entrance go from 18 to 23 eur depending in which season you go. Prices for food and drinks inside are honest prices: a sandwich with Calabria sausage+soft drink 40ml was 5,50 eur. Coffee (espresso) 1 euro. It was Friday, end of July and it was good amount of people... Lines for the slides were very short (max 10 minutes) and there was the possibility to do slides also note than once. It is advised to go during the week (mon-fri) or not in August, otherwise there is the risk that the lines for the slides are too long and it is gonna be difficult to enjoy the park. There is both a good area for children and a good area for adults. The staff working in the park is young, very kind and helpful.

(Translated by Google) I've been coming to this property for years now, and I've never felt the need to write a review... until this year. It's only right to give credit to a resort that has made an incredible leap in quality: Damiano's new management is immediately apparent. The quality of the food is exceptional, always varied, never repetitive, and above all, served hot and with attention to detail. Special thanks go to the Chef, who was able to accommodate even my small request (the squid ink rice: simply delicious!). The property has introduced small touches that have made all the difference: rooms are always clean and super comfortable, a very fast shuttle service that makes getting to the beach a breeze, and helpful and courteous staff who know how to make every guest feel at ease. The service in the dining room is impeccable, led with professionalism by Assan: a true guarantee of perfection. The pool is always clean and well-equipped, with an attentive and conscientious lifeguard, especially with children. Coming back here is like coming home: every year I'm delighted to meet Fabio from the entertainment staff, always smiling and able to get everyone involved in the fun (don't miss out!). In short, this is an experience I recommend to everyone, from small children to older guests: no one is left out. For me, it's become a regular stop every year, and it will be for a long time to come.

The pebble beach might be uncomfortable for some, but I didn't have any problems at all. Ultimately, I'll return if the opportunity arises. Absolutely worth visiting. You need to take part in the guided tour (1h15) but it does make sense as you really get a cool sense of the history of the place. We had a lovely guide who made it really interesting. Tours are EUR 5 per person which is amazing value. English tours need to be booked in advance and min 20 people so if you go bring a human translation friend along. After the tour walk around the town which is really one of the most charming places with lots of awesome little restaurants (absolutely great prices and not touristy) to chill and enjoy the views. From here the beach is 10 min drive by the way. One tip (which might have to be updated at a later stage): as they only recently opened after extensive renovations they don't accept cards yet as they are still setting up on-line booking etc so bring cash)

Ghost Towns
Craco, located in the Basilicata region of southern Italy, is an abandoned ghost town that was left deserted at the end of the 20th century due to a landslide caused by faulty pipe work. Despite its abandonment in the sixties, visitors can still explore this medieval village frozen in time. The town offers a hauntingly beautiful glimpse into its past and provides a unique opportunity to witness a place where time seems to have stood still.

Sadly there were no more tours during the week by half of September. Only on Saturdays and Sundays. But still we were openly welcomed by the girl at the reception whose name I forgot. She told us more about the organisation and helped us to visit the beach. Thanks for the hospitality 😊

Went x a visit with my child...beutiful and instructional visit. The team of volunteers is welcoming and the tour fascinating (but it is NOT a zoo). I think that what this Oasis does is amazing.

We firtsly got there 30 minutes before the midday break, and a really nice employee told us the price is 7 euro per person and to come back afternoon. It was completely fine, we gladly support their work. When we got back, they said the tour is 14 euro per person, becouse we want to listen in english. The same employee started to tell us over and over again, that he said 14 for us, and the italian tour is 7. He was certain that he mentioned it, but none of us remembered it.(Our group contains 7people) The whole situation was ridiculous, they wanted to rip us off, eventhough we talked about the price earlier. I do not recommend this place at all. I can see that their job is important, but they are clearly lack of manner

Very interesting and informative tour, keep up the good work. We were very lucky to meet wild boar with their babies!!

Wonderful experience lived as a volunteer. A week spent too quickly trying to help as much as possible the managers of the CRAS (wild animal recovery center) and helping the managers of the center with the families visiting guests. Recommended experience to do both as a volunteer and as a guest if you are families with children. The center offers many fun activities for children of all ages

We went there at 12 o clock they said that the turtles can only br visited with a guide and the next tour is gonna happen at 16:30 and its 7€/person (he literally said its 7€ 4 x) Then we went back there at 16:30 and they said they can invite an english guide and its gonna take 10 minutes and its 14€/ person … and he swore he said 7€ at 12o clock.. its literally undeniabe that this isn t fair, taking us as products becouse we re not Italian… Do not recommend they will try to rip you off(as a non profit its just ridicuolus)

The area is really nice and organized. They only ask you a small contribution of 5 Euro to visit around. You will have a guide to ask all the questions you like.

Acquazzurra Acquapark Metaponto (MT)

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
The Acquazzurra Acquapark in Metaponto, located in southern Italy, offers a splendid selection of slides and pools. Although there are slight concerns regarding health and safety, these can be considered fairly typical for this region. It is an excellent destination for families with young children due to the abundance of fun activities available. While the facilities may not be the newest, they offer great value for money.
Really enjoyed this waterpark - definetly the best around. Reasonable price to enter at €18 per person and all sunbeds and umbrellas are free. There is an optional charge for rings to speed up access to the rides - which was well worthwhile. Some negative comments about rides closing during the day, but this is well advertised, so was not a surprise - the rides close from 1 to 2. Family of 5 3 children from 11 to 17 Highly recommended 👌

Great for little kids and not expensive got some big slides for the older, maybe missing a lazy river but pretty good value for money 18€ to get in 8€ for double rubber ring and 5€ for single ring you will need these if you plan on going on 8 of the large slides a cap is required in the pools 3€ and 2€ a locker. Overall decent and queues not too large.

All slides close for 2+ hours in the middle of the day, the Pirate ship is in need of replacement: birds fly into the various holes in the rotten wood. almost all slides you have to be 10+ years old to enter and staff yells and curses at you in Italian for misreading the age restriction on a slide. Staff in general seemed very unwelcoming to non-Italian speakers and when we mentioned this when leaving, management defended their workera stating some people simply do not like serving foreigners. The 'parking site' is filled with debris from construction so be careful when driving in and out. We caught a thick iron bolt in one of our tires. Two stars because the first half of the day we actually had quite a good time before all of the above happened.

Nive avquapark with animation and nice attractions. Hair cap compulsory (acqualandia in Jesolo doesnt require it so i dont know why...) plus you need to rent a personal inflated boat to go down the main runs which makes it a bit cumbersome. Best during the week as there are smaller crowds. If you are in the area with kids (or not) go and have fun...my rating would be 4.5 if i could set it this way. Everything was clean (maybe sometime a bit old but also not so expensive as the new parks)

Aviod this place immediately. They will practically steal your money. First they will ask for online reservation, and when you will enter they will ask for ticket. So for a family of 3, you will have to pay €80(just the entrance). When asking why, they will act like they have informed you but the lady at the pool entrance is the very first not knowing the procedure. After insisting she tried to offer me some gadget for the pool just to make up things. After entering they had no clue where the reserved umbrella and beds are but will take you randomly. Careful with food and prices!!!

Our visit to this water park was deeply upsetting and has left us with a very negative impression. My daughter was denied access to one of the slides simply because she did not have a swimming cap. While we understand that some facilities have rules, what shocked us was the blatant inconsistency in how these rules were enforced. Several Italian children were allowed to use the slides without swimming caps at the same time, right in front of us. When we pointed this out to the staff, they dismissed our concerns and refused to explain the discrepancy. It was hard not to feel that my daughter was treated unfairly just because she is a foreign tourist. I strongly caution other international visitors, especially those with children, to be aware of the negative and possibly racist attitudes displayed by the staff at this park. This kind of treatment is unacceptable in 2025 and reflects very poorly on the management.

Very crowded. But a lot of fun, family and friends.

Quite ok. But just ok. The water in the pools is not cooled - you feel like you are in the soup. There is a break on the slides (1pm till 2pm - actually 2:15pm) kind of "lunch break" as if they they could not organize any substitutes of the guards even if there were PLENTY of people waiting. They apparently don't care about their guests. And remember - the rubber boats are not free - you need to pay extra for them to your ticket....

The Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Metaponto showcases a wide range of artifacts dating from the prehistoric era to the Bronze Age, including funeral items, vases, and ceramics. Despite some comments about its maintenance, it is considered a worthwhile stop for those interested in the excavation exhibits discovered in various locations of Salento. Visitors can enjoy guided tours and explore the impressive collection of Ancient Greek materials for a nominal fee.
This was a very good surprise, very beautiful museum. Liked the many bronze artifacts and the reconstruction of a woman dress with all her bronze jewelry, then you can see who they were used. I thought the temple was next to the museum, but it was 6 km from the museum. Can highly recommend to visit both the museum and the temple.

Amazing place, although a little difficult to find. Well worth the hunt!

Although it appears unloved and certainly not as well kept or clean as it deserves to be, this Museum is worthy a detour to enjoy all the excavation exhibits discovered over the last few decades in different locations of Salento. Apart from the odd coach party visiting for a few minutes you will almost have it to yourself, making the visit a rare and delightful pleasure.

For only 2.50 euros you get one of the greatest collections of Ancient Greek materials. A large display of vessels, jars and jugs. The new section on numbers and formulas was impressive. A true gem. We had the place to ourselves.

well worth a visit 2,5y for people under 26 even cheaper. but the photo is taken at another place. If you want to see those pillars, search for "Tavole Palatine"

The museum is great and the exhibits are superb but the gardens and car park need two blokes with brush cutters for a month
