Sri Venkatadrinaidu moved his capital from Chintapalli to Dhanyakataka in 1795 on the advice of Thina Amatyula. Dhanyakatakamu (Dharanikota) is known to have been the capital of the Satavahanas since the 4th century CE. The Tulabhara Mandapams built by Sri Krishna Devaraya and major renovations were carried out during his period. Sri Rajavasireddy Venkatadri Naidu can be found in the 2nd praharam. Sri Venkatadrinaidu named the area where the temple is located as Amaravati. During their reign, the present temple was renovated and the temple was blessed with constant incense offerings. Since Shiva saved Amaras- Devas from Tarukasura, called as Amaralingeswara. Some Historians believed that this temple was a Buddhist temple and the same might have been converted as a Hindu temple at a later date. Renovations and consecrations are conducted on 11th September 1992 and 2017.

Sri Amareswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam located beautifully on the banks of the Krishna River — one of the sacred Pancharama Kshetras dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple’s peaceful atmosphere, along with the divine view of the river, makes it a truly spiritual and memorable experience. The main deity, Lord Amareswara (Shiva), is worshipped here in the form of a sacred Sivalingam, believed to have been installed by Lord Indra himself. The temple’s ancient architecture and spiritual energy reflect the rich history of Amaravati, which was once a great Buddhist and Shaivite center. Really loved visiting this temple as part of my Pancharama Yatra — the journey felt divine and fulfilling. The temple’s serene surroundings and riverbank view make it a perfect place for peace and devotion. 🙏✨

This large ancient temple more than 1000 years old is located in Amaravati of Palnadu district in Andhra Pradesh, on the banks of Krishna river and is considered to be one of the Pancha Ramulu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located on a small hillock which is accessible by steps and there is also a car path way to reach to the top. The temple is renowned for its architecture which is said to be a conglomeration of Dravidian and Buddhist styles. The garba graha houses the Shivlinga (Amareswar) and behind the same you would find a 15 foot marble Stupa structure on the top of which there is a Shivlingam. Abhishekam is performed for both the Shivalingas from the top by the priests, which is a divine sight to behold. There is also a shrine for Goddess Chamundeswari. In the first prakaram there are shrines of Kalatheeswara, Kasi Viswanatha, Srisailam Mallikarjun, Venugopal Swamy and Chandeeswara. There is a small shrine for Surya Bhagwan also. The firstouter prakaram houses the shrines of Ganapati, Kala Bhairva and Subramanya Swamy, besides the Sthala Vruksham which houses the idols of the serpant gods, Navagrahas, Hanuman and Sanishwar. The second outer prakaram houses the shrines of Mahishasura Mardini, Kosaleswara, Veerabhadra, Praneswara, Annapoora Devi samtha Kasi Visveswara, Uma Maheswara & Dattatreya, Jwalamukhi, Agastheeswar and Someswara, The temple thus is found quite large and it would take not less than an hour and a half for a complete darshan of all the Gods and Goddesses. The temple offers lodging facilities (both AC and Non AC) for devotees at a nominal rate, which can be booked over phone. The devotees can have a holy bath in Krishna river in the morning and have darshan at the temple. Om Nama Shivaya |

Great darshan at this temple and good streamlined process by AP government. There is accomodation available if needed nearby. The Krishna river flowing nearby is breathtaking

Visited Amareswara temple during Dussehra time. Had a wonderful time. Vicinity of the temple is clean, calm and positive. We had taken abhishekam ticket and the priest had performed the rituals very well. As the temple lies on the banks of river Krishna one can happily sit near the bank after darshan.

Very big Sivalingam of Amareswara Swamy. This is next to Draksharamam. This temple is situated on the banks of river Krishna. The temple can be reached from Vijayawada or Guntur. Good breeze of river Krishna and felt very peaceful in the temple. For Antharalaya darshan you need to buy ticket of Rs. 100/-, per person.

Picturesque 21m waterfall, a popular swimming spot located between lush green hills.

Had a peaceful and refreshing time at Ethipothala Waterfall. The view was stunning, and the sound of the water was so calming. Loved the natural beauty and the quiet atmosphere – felt like a perfect escape from the usual rush.
Pearl J — Google review
A nice quick half day road trip from Hyderabad. The greenary and waterfalls is worth trying if you don't want to travel too long for waterfalls. Not many people visit here and mostly people are unaware of this spot. So even on weekend there will not be much rush.
Noorul K — Google review
A beautiful tourist spot. The waterfalls look serene and the area around thr waterfall is even more pretty. Easily accessible by road, the place is safe to visit with family and friends. There is a restaurant that serves good tea and food. Perfect evening spot for a family outing. Better to go after monsoon to see the waterfall at its maximum flow.
Ashat M — Google review
This is a very beautiful waterfall located very close to Nagarjuna Sagar highway. You can get a closer view where they have built some sort of viewpoint. There is also a path to the bottom of the waterfall where you can have a closer view of the waterfall. Do visit this place if you are on your way from/to Nagarjuna sagar.

Haven surrounding Nagarjuna Sagar. Location: Ethipothala waterfall located near nagarjuna Sagar Dam about 15 km from Dam checkpost. How to reach: By own transportation you have to travel towards macherla route from nagarjuna Sagar dam . Then take left from forest checkpost. By local transportation: You can rent auto from local city and reach. They will charge 100 per head. What is special here: Ethipothala is located in side of the Amranadh tiger reserve forest and beautiful water fall from 800 mts hight, which makes you feel awesome. Water flow heavy during rainy season and become less towards March . Time to visit: Best time is during Jun to Feb. Fecilities: Small shops available for snacks and cool drinks. But for stay there is a Haritha resort just beside the Water fall. For bookings visit govt website. 🚫Beware:. Lot of monkeys attack you, if you carry any snack items in your hand. Take care all the belongings including handbags. But not to worry they don't harm anyone.
Rajesh — Google review
Caution:Beware of sudden water pressure, not for children below 12yr,never play at edges of falls, since there are no lifeguards for help. We had enjoyed a lot at perfect season, flow was mild but bad news was 3 deaths were reported two days before when we reached there,so we're little nervous.
YASIN H — Google review
Best place near Nagarjuna sagar. Located in boarder of Telangana and is nearby Nagarjuna sagar. Beautiful place. Those who are willing to stay there is stay from Haritha resorts and hotel also were there is limited food options are available. Sooo many monkeys are also there and have to alert if u have food with u. There is multiple view points available from were you can witness the waterfalls in many views

Sri Chaya Someshwara Temple

Located few kms away from highways in Nalgonda. One of the ancient, well maintained temple. Full temple are is maintained cleanly. Car parking is available. Huge temple area to sit and spend more time peacefully with family and friends. Normal days crowd is less. We can spend 15 to 30 mins to visit completely. I think festival and special days the temple is more crowded. So plan and visit. You can get only archana related items in the temple parking. No other shops, Foods, snacks, water bottle shops near by. So buy anything in advance if you need. Overall a satisfying visit, where we can spend in hours during rush free days with the peaceful and chill air.

It’s very oldest and historical temple, the temple is located at Nalgonda district , it has a mysterious shadow in side the Garbha gudi back side of shiva Linga. Also we have seen Surya lingam/ Aathma lingam, overall it’s beautiful location
Lodi N — Google review
Historical temple, 1000 years old. Well known for it's architectural marvel. A shadow is formed behind the deity. There is a single pillar like shadow behind lord shiva throughout the day irrespective of sun's position. This is called "chaya" in Sanskrit. We visited this Temple today
Narayanan K — Google review
Old and some what neglected place. People are coming only for photo shoots. Climbing on walls , stepping on idols. Really pathetic. No management seen. No door to to the temples. People eating food inside the temple and making dirty.

Nestled amidst the tranquil embrace of nature, the Lord Shiva Temple offers a sanctuary of peace and spirituality. Situated in a region blessed with a cool climate, the temple provides a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Stepping into the temple grounds, one is immediately struck by the serene atmosphere that permeates the air. The gentle rustle of leaves and the soft chirping of birds create a symphony of tranquility, inviting visitors to leave behind their worries and immerse themselves in the divine aura of the temple. The ancient architecture of the temple stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region. Every stone and pillar whispers tales of bygone eras, transporting visitors to a time when devotion to the divine was paramount. As one approaches the sanctum sanctorum, a sense of reverence washes over them. The majestic presence of Lord Shiva, adorned with offerings of flowers and incense, exudes a palpable sense of divine grace. Whether seeking solace in prayer, or simply seeking refuge from the chaos of the world, the Lord Shiva Temple offers a haven of peace and tranquility unlike any other. It is a place where the mind finds repose, the heart finds solace, and the soul finds nourishment. In conclusion, the Lord Shiva Temple is not just a place of worship; it is a sacred oasis where the weary traveler can find rest for their soul and inspiration for their journey ahead.

Wow what a nature oriented peaceful shiva temple with a kolanu(pond) in front of the temple with beautiful ducks, swams and lush greenery. This temple had a mystery thing that is chaya of pillar (shadow) falling in garba gudi on lingam which is a mystery because there is no pillar present there to produce shadow many archaeologists tried to solve this mystery but they failed to find 🚩🕉️

By the grace of God, Went to Chaya Someswara Temple in Nalgonda, really very good temple and every one must visit and seek blessings of God there, really a very great temple and still it is a history how Chaya is on the sivalingam through out the day irrespective of weather, so must visit this temple, in addition to that, it is the history of our Hindu and must visit and develop these temples

Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam (Yadagirigutta)

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Dravidian-style Hindu temple atop a hill, featuring an ornate, towering gopuram entry gate.
I recently visited the Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam Temple near Hyderabad, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The temple’s architecture is truly magnificent — beautifully designed with intricate carvings and a serene atmosphere that immediately fills you with peace and devotion. Inside the temple, the divine energy is so strong that you feel completely blessed and spiritually uplifted. Everything is well-organized, and the surroundings are clean and well-maintained. The view from the temple hill is also stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. Overall, it was an amazing and memorable experience. A must-visit place for anyone seeking peace, spirituality, and a glimpse of incredible South Indian temple architecture. I’d highly recommend visiting at least once in your lifetime! 🙏✨
Nihal — Google review
Visited Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam at Yadagirigutta with my family, and it was a spiritually uplifting experience. The temple is beautifully built, well-maintained, and the serenity around the premises adds to the devotion. The idol and sanctum are very impressive, and the priests and staff are polite and helpful. The temple schedules are followed diligently; crowd management is decent though it does get busy during peak hours. We arrived during a non-festive time, which made it more peaceful. The waiting time for darshan was reasonable, though having more facilities (drinking water, restrooms) closer to the main temple could improve the experience. Overall, it’s a place I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Telangana, seeking peace, faith, and tradition.
Ritesh G — Google review
Yadadri Temple, dedicated to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, is one of the most powerful and sacred temples in Telangana. The recent reconstruction has transformed it into a magnificent stone temple that feels both ancient and majestic. The peaceful atmosphere, detailed carvings, and divine energy make it a truly memorable spiritual experience. A Brief History of the Temple: Yadagirigutta, also known as Yadadri, is believed to be the place where Lord Narasimha appeared to Sage Yadava in a cave to bless him with knowledge, protection, and spiritual power. The sage performed deep penance here, and the deity manifested in five different forms, called Pancha Narasimha. Because of the sage’s devotion, the hill came to be known as Yadagirigutta – “the hill (gutta) of Yadava.” The temple has always been a major pilgrimage site, but after the recent massive renovation project, it now resembles a grand ancient Kakatiya-style temple made entirely of hand-carved stone. Parking & Transportation 1. Hilltop Private Car Entry – ₹500 If you want to take your private vehicle up to the top near the temple entrance, the entry charge is ₹500. This is the best option for families with elders or children. The road is clean, smooth, and well-managed. 2. Base Parking (Normal Parking) You can park your vehicle at the foot of the hill. The parking area is spacious and secure. From here, the temple provides free bus service to the top. The only drawback is that the buses can get very crowded, especially on weekends and festivals, so you may have to wait in line. Entry Fee & Darshan Details Minimum darshan entry fee starts at ₹100. The price increases for special darshan, pujas, archana, homams, and other sevas. Counters are well-marked, and staff guides you based on the type of puja or darshan you want.
ANIMESH S — Google review
Overall Experience A very scenic driving route with a well-maintained temple and tasty prasadam laddus. The temple itself is beautiful, but the experience is ruined by extremely poor staff management, both at the temple and the parking area. Parking & Entry Parking costs ₹50, and they use the same point for both entry and exit, which creates long traffic jams. The staff handling parking are careless and take too much time collecting fees, causing unnecessary delays. Reaching the Temple After parking, you can either: • Take a bus to the top (crowded and uncomfortable — they pack too many people in), or • Pay ₹500 to drive your own vehicle up, which is a much better option. Be prepared for jams at the entrance regardless, due to slow fee collection. Temple Experience Inside, the temple is clean and well maintained. However, the queue management is very poor, and the staff seem indifferent and unhelpful. Waiting times can be very long, especially on weekends. • ₹150 ticket: For reduced waiting time, but still crowded during peak hours. • ₹300 ticket: Usually opened in the evenings when the ₹150 line becomes overcrowded. Best Time to Visit Evenings are ideal — the weather is pleasant, and the view from the temple top after exiting the inner sanctum is beautiful. A scenic and spiritual place that’s worth visiting for its view and temple cleanliness, but be ready for frustrating staff behavior and poor crowd management.
Kartik — Google review
It was at a two hours journey from Hyderabad, the road was good. With a beautiful view on each side of the road. Car Parking was for 500 and entry tickets for 150/300 Rs. a shuttle takes you to the hilltop with the ticket. Phones were strictly not allowed inside the temple and need to be deposited for Rs 10 each. Inside the temple was extremely beautiful. This is an ancient temple of Narsimha awtaar of bhagwan Vishnu, from 12th century with much powerful vibrations The temple is on the hilltop and gives a beautiful view of the town. A place worth visiting!
Anita G — Google review
Visiting Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple was a truly divine experience filled with peace, devotion, and positive energy. The sacred hill, now known as Yadadri, stands majestically with the temple glowing beautifully against the sky, welcoming devotees with its spiritual aura. As I climbed the steps and heard the temple bells ringing, I felt a deep sense of connection and calmness within. The darshan of Lord Narasimha Swamy was mesmerizing — the sanctum radiated divine power and grace. Surrounded by chants of “Om Namo Narayanaya,” the atmosphere was filled with pure devotion and bliss. Every corner of the temple reflects amazing architecture, devotion, and centuries of faith. The recent reconstruction of Yadadri has made it even more magnificent, blending tradition with divine artistry. After darshanam, sitting quietly on the hilltop and feeling the cool breeze was like meditation — peaceful, spiritual, and soul-refreshing. Visiting Yadagirigutta reminded me that faith brings inner strength and hope. Truly, it’s not just a temple; it’s an experience of divine presence and positivity. Feeling blessed and grateful for the divine darshan. 🙏✨

Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami Temple at Yadagirigutta is a magnificent spiritual destination that blends divine energy with breathtaking architecture. The temple, perched on a hill, offers a peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Well-organized facilities and the grandeur of the new temple complex make it a must-visit for devotees and tourists alike. A truly blissful and uplifting experience.
Subhamrkz — Google review
Temple is situated on a hill and has great view. Phone is not allowed inside temple. To reach the temple, you can climb the stairs or take the vehicle near temple premise. For the entry there is normal (which takes more time) and with ticket ₹150. Temple got the good architecture. The parking near temple is ₹500 for four wheeler, and if you park downstairs then it’s ₹50 and then you can take free bus for going up. With both ways there will be a little walk. You have to submit your phones ₹10 each. There is compound outside where you can seat, take photos.

Positioned on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway, this theme park offers an array of entertainment and amenities for visitors of all ages. Its proximity to Ramoji Film City, just 4 km away, adds to its appeal.
I couldn't believe how much we got for the price. Whether you're planning a fun outing for friends and family or you're looking for a place where your kids can spend an exciting afternoon, Mount Opera will be perfect for you. I had all but given up on finding a great amusement park in Hyderabad, so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed myself here. The water park and the rides were all great fun. I have to commend them for the amount of thought and effort that went into making sure the visitor's experience is the best it could be. You could spend hours here and not want to go home. The food was healthy. Even the banquet hall was really nice, it's great for any kind of function. If you invite people here for a gathering, there is no chance of your guests being bored. All in all, I had a fantastic experience and I look forward to going back to Mount Opera again.

Wave pool was good and rides are also fun, but changing room were too untidy, full of smell and no doors, very worst maintenace. Other than changing rooms all is good and we can enjoy with kids. As the world's largest film studio, it offers tours, live shows, an on-site theme park, and adventure zone. Visitors can immerse themselves in Bollywood dreams through activities like film city tours, adventure sports, toy train rides, and exploring various gardens.
I visited Ramoji Film City, and it was an amazing experience! The place truly lives up to its reputation as one of the world’s largest film cities. From grand movie sets and beautiful gardens to entertaining live shows, every corner has something unique. The guided tour was well-organized and informative. You really get to see how movies are made behind the scenes. Food and facilities were decent, and the staff was friendly too. Highly recommend spending a full day here to explore everything properly.

Amazing place for movie maniac as a persona can actually visit the the seta where the movies were shot. Blockbusters like Bahubali and Chennai Express and many more were shot over there. The Eco tour has a bird & butterfly park. It even has multiple fine dine restaurant and street food kiosks. All in all a great place to spend with family and friends for the entire day

It's a place you must visit once. Good to go with family to enjoy the beautiful gardens, sceneries, fountains. Also experience the film making process. The management and system is so organised that you will not miss any places to visit. You will have a well spent day.

A lot of impressions and quite impressive. Friend tour guide and I have to say she deserves a five star. Like her humour but for me it was all about the intensions of this place. it is both monumental and emotional. Qudos to everyone who put the work in to keep it alive. Respect. Keep the good work

The overall time we spent was justified for the price of the tickets. It is a well planned and maintained location. You'll definitely love it. Plus-Worthy cinematic experience, lots of different spots to explore, cute buses enroute you to different places, toilets and snacks at almost every stop. Minus-Includes a lots of walk and temperature changes from AC vented halls to again back to normal temperature outside. So, be prepared to deal with regular temperature shifts! Rest it's an awesome place to visit!! Family friendly.👍🤩

Ramoji Film City is a Good place to visit with so much to explore and enjoy. The Eureka zone, Baahubali set, Japanese Garden, Hawa Mahal, European Streets, and Evening Parks are some of the best attractions to experience. It’s perfect for a full-day outing with family and kids. Though outside food isn’t allowed, water bottles and snacks inside are reasonably priced. However we had to wait around 30 minutes for food after 2 PM at the Baahubali set, so the food service could be improved. Management can review about the pricing - it feels slightly high, especially since lunch isn’t included in the package.
Sreenivasulu G — Google review
Visiting Ramoji Film City with my friends was absolutely epic and fully justifies its fantastic reputation. They have 2 package option AC/ Non-AC. Only difference in AC package it has buffet lunch included, and non-ac doesn't have dinner option one must pay for their own food. It is an full day activity so plan accordingly. We hit all the highlights, and the energy we got from the sheer number of things to do made the whole day fly by—we give the experience a huge thumbs up! The core of the day was the Studio Tour, which was far more impressive than just seeing static sets. Seeing the intricate details on the iconic streets, the massive temple facades, and the beautiful Indian and Japanese Gardens made for incredible photo opportunities for our group. The undeniable highlight of this section was the Bahubali Set. Walking through the gigantic Mahishmati kingdom was surreal; we spent ages exploring the throne room, the massive bells, and the various props, totally losing ourselves in the grandeur of that fictional world. For the adrenaline junkies in our group, the side trip to Sahas Adventure Land was a must. Tackling the ATV track was a blast—it was the perfect way to burn off some energy and enjoy some real speed and dirt-kicking fun, moving from the fantasy sets to a real-life action sequence. We made sure to catch a Live Show, which was the perfect moment to sit down and be entertained. The vibrant choreography and the stunt work were fantastic, adding that extra layer of cinematic excitement. And since we were there during the festival, the Carnival atmosphere topped everything off! The colorful parades, extended timings, and general festive buzz added so much energy and color to the end of our trip. Finally, the Bird Park and Butterfly Park were surprisingly beautiful and provided a wonderful, peaceful contrast to the high-energy sets and adventure sports. It was a serene way to wrap up the sightseeing before heading home. A quick tip for groups: The park is huge, so divide your time wisely! Start with the sets and adventure, and don't forget comfortable shoes. Ramoji is definitely a trip worth taking with your best friends—it’s non-stop fun from the moment you step off the bus!
Akash K — Google review
Ramoji Film City is definitely a must-visit place in Hyderabad — it’s vast, beautifully designed, and offers a unique glimpse into the world of cinema. The guided tour is well-organized, and there are plenty of attractions, sets, and shows for all age groups. However, the entry fee is quite high, and some of the sets and attractions feel a bit outdated. While the overall experience is enjoyable and worth visiting at least once, it would be even better if the management could refresh the sites and reduce the ticket price to make it more affordable for everyone.

Wonderla Amusement Park in Hyderabad is a top destination for thrill-seekers and families alike. With a wide range of rides and attractions, it offers something for everyone. From high-thrill rides to water slides and family-friendly attractions, the park ensures an unlimited dose of fun and entertainment. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options to satisfy their cravings.
Had an amazing time at Wonderla Hyderabad! I visited yesterday and absolutely loved the entire experience! The rides were super thrilling and well-maintained. From the high-adrenaline roller coasters to the fun water slides, everything was just perfect. The park was clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and safety measures were properly followed. We tried the Fast Track option and it saved a lot of waiting time. Totally worth it! Also, the wave pool and rain dance were highlights of the day. Highly recommend visiting with friends or family — it's a guaranteed fun-filled day! 🎢💦

Wonderla Hyderabad is definitely a fun place to spend the day, but there are a few things visitors should keep in mind. First and most important – book your tickets online only. The offline counter charges almost double the price compared to online booking, which feels unfair. It would be much better if Wonderla considered keeping at least equal or similar prices for both online and offline tickets to make it easier for everyone. Another point is the food prices inside the park, which are very expensive. If the food costs were more reasonable, it would add to the overall experience. One good tip: if you plan your trip via TSRTC buses, you can get an additional 15% discount on your entry tickets, which is a nice saving. Overall, Wonderla is enjoyable, but booking online and planning your food options wisely will make your visit much better.

The place is great to visit during the summer holidays it has many rides that can be played with family. The price is a little high but service is great. I would recomend to visit during Monday or Tuesday there will be less crowd on these days. Overall my visit was amazing.

Must visit for a wonderful experience! We visited Wonderla on July 30, 2025, and had an amazing time. The only disappointment was missing the Giant Wheel and Roller Coaster, which were under maintenance. Apart from those, we tried almost every ride and thoroughly enjoyed it. 👉 Tip: Visit on weekdays, as weekends are usually crowded and you might not get a chance to enjoy all the rides. ✨ Must-try rides/experiences: -> Mission Interstellar (absolutely the best!) -> Wonder Splash ->Crazy Cars ->Boomerang ->Bullet ->Wave Pools ->Lazy River (super fun with friends!) 😱 Most thrilling/scary rides: ->Equinox ->Twin Flip T-Rex 🍴 Food & Facilities: Food is quite expensive inside, and lockers are also costly at ₹400 each (with ₹50 refunded later). Changing rooms for men and women are separate and clean, which was good. A tip—don’t eat before the big rides; enjoy the thrill first, have food later, and then head to water rides. Overall, it was a memorable experience filled with fun and adventure. I’d rate it 5/5.
Jayanth C — Google review
Very good experience. Well maintained and organized. We went on public holiday. There are many rides. Waiting bit for elders is a bit high. For kids, waiting time on holidays is also not a issue but for elders it's very hard. Plan on week days and avoid holiday if you want to cover more rides. Book tickets online with unlimited buffet lunch. Lunch is good. Don't miss chiku 3D show and interstellar show; worth watching.
Girish K — Google review
We had an amazing experience at Wonderla Hyderabad! I’d definitely recommend getting the Fastrack ticket — it’s absolutely worth the extra ₹1000. We upgraded after reaching there, and it saved us from standing in long queues, especially since there were many school groups visiting that day. The rides are thrilling and give a real adrenaline rush, especially the high-intensity ones — some of them are truly mind-blowing! The giant wheel, however, is skippable if you’re short on time. A few tips: 1. Outside food isn’t allowed, and the food inside is on the expensive side. 2. Bring sportswear or comfortable quick-dry clothes for the water rides. 3. It’s best enjoyed with friends or cousins for maximum fun. Overall, it’s a fantastic experience — a perfect mix of thrill, laughter, and good memories! 🎢💦

Great food but the rooms are not up to the mark. We went via a corporate booking for 40-50 people and In some rooms there was no hot water or the room was smelly. The waterfall outside the room was not clean. The hospitality and service was really good. Loved all the dishes served during the lunch, dinner and high tea. Did not experience the breakfast and other facilities other than the conference room

Fantastic place for team outing, family outing with big playgrounds, indoor games and big swimming pool with rain dance facility. Ambience was great with tasty food spread. One suggestion for improvement. During lunch only one plate is allowed to be used. With such a large buffet spread the plate becomes unusable after one or two servings. But the staff obliged to give another fresh plate when the manager intervened after initially rejecting to give one. Overall good place to spend a day and have fun.

We visited Leonia Holistic Destination for a day outing and were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink upon arrival. The overall experience was decent, with a mix of indoor and outdoor games to keep us engaged. Kids who enjoy swimming will particularly love the pool facilities. Our package did not include a buffet, but we opted for lunch at the à la carte restaurant, which turned out to be quite satisfying.

Leonia Holistic Destination is a special place with beautiful nature and rock formations. It invites people from all over to stay in its luxurious villas and hotels, offering great service and lots of amenities. We went there for a company party, but we thought that conference hall and other surroundings need to be maintained well and lifts are also not good. Swimming pool is well maintained and dj is also good. It has both indoor and outdoor games are present. Indoor games space is very less near swimming pool.

The Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad is a treasure trove of art and artifacts collected by the Salar Jung family from around the world. It houses an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures, textiles, manuscripts, ceramics, metallic artifacts, carpets, clocks, and furniture from various civilizations. The museum offers visitors a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage and history of different regions through its diverse exhibits.
A museum beyond imagination. So many varieties of displays and very well maintained. It has more than 40 galleries and takes around 3-4 hours if one visits all the galleries and devotes reasonable time. I liked the glassware galleries most. Though there are restaurants inside the main building, they offer limited variety of food. So one should plan the visit keeping in view his/ her lunch timings. There are one or two restaurants on the backside of the premises of the museum as well. A must visit place in Hyderabad.
Anil B — Google review
The Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad is one of India’s most remarkable cultural treasures — a vast repository of art, history, and heritage collected from across the world. Situated on the banks of the Musi River near Charminar, it stands as one of the largest one-man collections globally, amassed by Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, popularly known as Salar Jung III. The museum houses over a million artifacts spanning centuries and continents — from intricately carved ivory pieces, Persian carpets, and Mughal miniatures to European paintings, Japanese porcelains, and ancient sculptures. Every gallery feels like stepping into a different era and culture. The collection is so extensive that even a full day isn’t enough to explore it completely. Among the highlights are The Veiled Rebecca, an exquisite marble sculpture by Italian artist Giovanni Maria Benzoni, and the famous Musical Clock, whose miniature mechanical figures delight visitors every hour. The arms and weapons gallery, adorned with ornate swords and daggers from various dynasties, also captures the imagination of history enthusiasts. What makes the Salar Jung Museum truly fascinating is the diversity of its exhibits — it isn’t just an Indian museum but a global one. From Egyptian artifacts to European furniture and Chinese ceramics, it reflects the Nawab’s refined taste and curiosity about the world. The museum is well-organized, though its size can feel overwhelming for first-time visitors. The staff and signage make navigation easy, and photography is permitted in most areas. The museum café and souvenir shop offer nice breaks between long explorations. Overall, Salar Jung Museum is a must-visit for anyone in Hyderabad — not just for its grandeur, but for the incredible stories each artifact holds. It’s a place where art, history, and culture meet, offering a timeless journey through civilizations under one roof.

The highlight of this museum is Clock which was manufactured in 19th century still functions great and the dynamics is really amazing. Ivory collection is just wow, the designs and craftsmanship of this is really astonishing. The marble statue is awesome.

My visit to Salar Jung Museum was an amazing and enriching experience. This museum is truly one of the finest in India, with an incredible collection that reflects art, culture, and history from all around the world. From ancient sculptures and royal artifacts to European paintings, Persian carpets, rare clocks, and beautiful handcrafted items, every gallery has something unique and fascinating to offer. The famous Veiled Rebecca and the double-headed statue are absolute highlights and must-see masterpieces. The clock gallery is also very popular, especially during the hourly chime when visitors gather to watch the antique clock in action. The museum is huge, and it’s easy to spend several hours exploring without even realizing how time passes. The management has maintained the museum very well—clean surroundings, organized galleries, and clear signboards make it easy to navigate. The staff is polite, helpful, and ensures that visitors have a smooth experience. I also appreciate the security and the effort put into preserving such valuable collections. It can get crowded on weekends, so visiting on a weekday is ideal if you want a quieter experience. Overall, Salar Jung Museum is a must-visit place in Hyderabad for history lovers, students, art enthusiasts, and tourists. A truly enriching and memorable visit!

Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad – A Priceless Treasure of Art, History, and Knowledge 🏛️ I recently visited the Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad, and it was truly an amazing and enriching experience! Stepping inside feels like traveling through time — every corner reflects the glory of art, culture, and history. The Salar Jung Museum is one of the largest national museums in India and among the biggest in Asia. It was established based on the priceless personal collection of Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, Salar Jung III, who devoted his entire life to gathering rare artworks, antiques, weapons, furniture, clocks, paintings, and sculptures from across the world — including Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and India. His vast private collection was later preserved by the Government of India, and the museum was officially opened to the public on December 16, 1951. Walking through the museum, one can witness a breathtaking blend of history and creativity. The famous Veiled Rebecca marble sculpture, the fascinating clock gallery, the impressive arms and armor collection, rare manuscripts, and exquisite wooden furniture are among the many highlights. Each gallery tells its own unique story and offers something new to learn. The entire complex is clean, well-maintained, and organized. The information boards and guides make the experience even more meaningful by helping visitors understand the history behind every artifact. Overall, the Salar Jung Museum is not just a collection of objects — it’s a living treasure of art, culture, and knowledge. Anyone visiting Hyderabad should definitely explore this magnificent museum — it enriches both the eyes and the soul. 🎨✨

What an absolutely massive place! I visited on a Sunday, and while it was definitely buzzing with people, the Salar Jung Museum is just unmissable. Seriously, the collection is mind-blowing—it feels like stepping into a time machine. The absolute star of the show for me was the Musical Clock! Make sure you catch its performance; it’s so much fun to watch. And that incredible Veiled Rebecca sculpture is breathtaking in person. Just wear comfy shoes and be prepared to get lost in all the history for a few hours. Highly recommend!

Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad is an extraordinary destination for art and history enthusiasts. It houses one of the largest one-man collections in the world, featuring a diverse range of artifacts including sculptures, paintings, textiles, ceramics, weapons, and rare manuscripts from different parts of the globe. Each section reflects meticulous curation and provides visitors with a glimpse into the cultural and artistic heritage of various eras. The museum’s layout is generally well-structured, allowing a smooth flow from one gallery to another, and the exhibits are thoughtfully displayed to highlight their historical significance. The staff are friendly, approachable, and ready to provide information, enhancing the overall experience. Despite these positives, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some galleries tend to get overcrowded, especially during weekends and holidays, making it challenging to view the exhibits comfortably. Signage and information boards could be more detailed and easier to read. Additionally, a few sections require better lighting to fully appreciate the intricacies of certain artifacts. Overall, Salar Jung Museum is a remarkable place to spend a day immersed in art, history, and culture. With a few minor improvements, it could easily achieve a perfect rating. It is highly recommended for both locals and tourists

The Charminar is an unmissable, magnificent piece of Indo-Islamic architecture and the enduring symbol of Hyderabad. Its four towering minarets are breathtaking, especially when illuminated at night. It's a dual experience: appreciating the historic beauty of the monument itself (climb to the top for a view!) while simultaneously navigating the intense, vibrant chaos of the surrounding Old City markets (like Laad Bazaar). Visit early in the morning for a quieter look at the monument, or brace yourself for crowds and intense energy if you go during peak hours or evening when the atmosphere is electric. Be prepared for heavy crowds and be mindful of your surroundings in the busy bazaars.

Chowmahalla Palace, also known as The Four Palaces, is a historical gem in Hyderabad that served as the official seat of the Asaf Jahi Dynasty. Built in the 18th century, this opulent palace boasts magnificent Persian-style architecture reminiscent of the Shah Palace in Tehran, Iran. Its lush grounds feature gardens, fountains, and smaller palace structures.
A Regal Step Back in Time, Just Minutes from Charminar Visited Chowmahalla Palace after exploring Charminar, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the day. It’s just a short walk from Charminar, and I highly recommend walking through the local market on the way—it's a great way to take in the city's vibrant culture. 🏰 Palace Grounds & Layout The palace complex is beautifully maintained and peaceful, offering a welcome break from the bustle of the nearby market. The grounds are spacious and include three main structures: The Main Darbar Hall, Two adjacent Mahals, and A vintage car and buggy collection at the far end. The Darbar Hall is especially breathtaking—well-preserved, elegant, and rich with history. It gives you a real sense of royal grandeur. The other two mahals, while still interesting, are not as large or impressive. Some portions of those buildings were closed during my visit. 🚶‍♂️ Experience & Recommendation The overall atmosphere is calm and serene, with manicured gardens and shaded pathways that make for a very enjoyable stroll. Compared to other smaller attractions nearby, Chowmahalla is absolutely worth prioritizing, especially if you're short on time. Highly recommended for anyone already visiting Charminar. The combination of historical architecture, royal elegance, and a peaceful setting makes this a must-visit landmark in Hyderabad.

A stunning piece of history! This palace is a must-visit for anyone interested in Hyderabad's rich heritage. The intricate architecture, beautifully maintained gardens, and exquisite marble work make it a treat to behold. The museum inside showcases an impressive collection of artifacts, including antique furniture and memorabilia from the Nizam's era. A truly regal experience that transports you back in time.

A must visit place if you're in Hyderabad, The palace’s grandeur, intricate architecture, and beautifully preserved interiors offered a captivating glimpse into Hyderabad’s regal past. The magnificent Durbar Hall, elegant chandeliers, and vintage displays of the Nizam era added to its timeless charm. While the palace itself is exceptionally well-maintained, the surroundings outside could use better care — the streets and nearby areas appeared somewhat untidy. However, once inside, the serenity and elegance of the palace easily overshadowed that minor drawback. The palace grounds are expansive and offer a peaceful walk through courtyards, fountains, and finely designed halls. The attention to detail in the restoration and upkeep of the interiors is truly commendable. However, I did notice that the area surrounding the palace could use better maintenance. The streets and nearby surroundings felt a bit untidy and lacked the same level of care that the palace itself receives. This contrast was quite noticeable, especially when transitioning from the lively yet cluttered streets outside to the serene and majestic atmosphere inside the complex. Overall, Chowmahalla Palace is an absolute gem in the heart of Hyderabad. Despite the slightly unkempt surroundings, the experience within the palace more than makes up for it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves history, architecture, or simply wants to spend a day immersed in royal elegance. It’s a glimpse into a glorious past that still shines beautifully today.

Amazing place, if the entry was free I would come here every day to relax. The museum aspect itself was really intriguing and fun, it’s always cool to explore the history of the places you stay in,and this one is a must visit for anyone. However, the best part for me was the serenity and peace that I felt while being there, they are doing a great job of cleaning the place up and presenting it beautifully. My only complain is that I came while they’re doing some restoration and had scaffolding around which made the experience less pleasant but not too bad.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chowmahalla Palace, and it was truly a wonderful experience! The palace's stunning architecture, rich history, and beautifully landscaped gardens left me in awe. As I walked through the complex, I felt like I was transported back in time to an era of grandeur and opulence. The intricate carvings, ornate domes, and majestic courtyards were breathtaking. It was fascinating to learn about the Nizam's legacy and the palace's significance in Hyderabad's cultural heritage. A must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, architecture, and culture!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Visit Jewel of Hyderabad! Just wow! Chowmahalla Palace is easily one of the best places to visit in Hyderabad. 🤩 The palace itself is incredibly beautiful, and the architecture is just mind-blowing. You can feel the history in every corner.🔥 The King's Throne area is simply out of this world! ✨ I was left wondering how someone could build something so impressive and truly majestic. It’s breathtaking!🥰 But for me, the best part was the car museum! 🚗 It's an absolute heaven for any car enthusiast. They have the one and only 1912 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, known as the "Throne Car."👑 Seeing it in person was unreal! They also have other classic cars from Ford and others,🏎️ all over 100 years old. It's like stepping back in time. And there's more! The museum also has an amazing collection of art, along with a display of historical war material. 🗡️🤯 Seeing 100-year-old swords and guns was so fascinating. This place truly has something for everyone. I can't recommend it enough!💯 A definite must-go place in Hyderabad for sure. Don't miss it! 👑

Very beautiful architecture and intricate interiors form a visual treat. The entry price was 150/- for one person for us. The embellishments and collection of the king’s artifacts are all beautiful to look at. We had a nice relaxing walk through the gardens. We spent about 1hour there. There is a canteen inside where you can buy some snacks.

Birla Mandir is an impressive Hindu temple situated on a hilltop, constructed with white marble and adorned with towers, shrines, and intricate interior carvings. Nearby, visitors can also explore the Birla Science Center, which includes a planetarium offering a 3D theatre experience and an observatory. The center also features a science museum with interactive exhibits focused on physics, optical illusions, environmental studies, and more – making it an engaging destination for science enthusiasts of all ages.
The famous Birla temple is almost at the hilltop but has good access upto the top thru narrow motor-able road. The marble temple is really beautiful with very nice statues of Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi. The temple has many floors and each floor gives a good view of the surroundings. One can set a beautiful view of the Hussain Sagar lake, and the newly constructed secretariat building. A beautiful view of the entire city on a clear day! This place is worth visiting, Free entry! it has a lift and free parking which is a boon!

It’s crazy how they completely built it with marble. It looks stunning. Due to the marble, it feels colder inside and when you are roaming around. The view from there is also nice as you can see the whole Hyderabad city. You can also see the Buddha statue, Sagar Lake, etc. If you like architecture, definitely worth visiting
Pradumna S — Google review
Beautiful temple with peaceful atmosphere and great city view! We visited Birla Mandir on a Saturday — it wasn’t very crowded, and we could enjoy the full view of Hyderabad from the top. The temple is truly beautiful and peaceful. We took an auto from the main road below; it cost ₹80, but the driver dropped us only near the gate, not up to the parking area. Phone keeping, footwear keeping, and bag keeping are all free, but when collecting our footwear, the person there asked for some money. Some renovation work was going on during our visit. One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness of the toilets — much better than most public places in India! Photography and cameras are not allowed inside the temple. To reach the gate, you have to walk up a small road lined with shops from the main road below — it’s only about 200 to 250 meters, so it’s an easy walk even if you don’t have a vehicle. Overall, a must-visit place in Hyderabad for peace, spirituality, and a stunning city view.

Birla Mandir is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places in Hyderabad. Built with pure white marble, the temple looks stunning especially during sunset. The view of the city and Hussain Sagar Lake from the top is just breathtaking. The atmosphere is calm and spiritual, making it a perfect place to sit quietly and relax. It’s very clean and well maintained — definitely a must-visit spot in Hyderabad!

The Birla Temple is honestly one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I’ve visited in Hyderabad. Built on a small hill, the view from the top is absolutely stunning — you can see the city spread out below and the calm waters of Hussain Sagar in the distance. The white marble structure looks elegant and gives off a very serene, spiritual vibe even before you step inside. Climbing up the steps is quite easy and the pathway is clean and well maintained. Once you reach the main temple area, the intricate carvings and the peaceful atmosphere make it worth the effort. What I really liked is that even though it’s a popular tourist spot, it still feels calm and respectful inside. Photography isn’t allowed in the temple premises, which actually helps keep the place peaceful. If you go during the evening, the lighting around the temple makes it look even more magical. There are no big food stalls inside, but there are some near the base, so carrying a water bottle is a good idea. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot — whether you’re religious or just want a quiet, scenic place to spend some time.

There's more to the Birla Temple in Hyderabad. The view at the top of the temple facing the Hussain Sagar Lake and the Secretariat building is mesmerizing and beautiful during evening time. Since cellphones aren't allowed inside temple, we can't capture most of it. There's five smaller mandirs of different gods inside the temple like Hanuman ji, Shiv ji and others. The whole temple is carved out beside a rocky mountain completely made of white marble. It's a must visit when visiting Hyderabad.

Hussain Sagar Lake, located in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, is a popular tourist destination. This man-made lake was constructed in 1562 to meet the water and irrigation needs of the city. It is surrounded by Lumbini Park, Indira Park, and Sanjeeviah Park. The centerpiece of the lake is a large Buddha statue situated on a rock.
Most aesthetic and beautiful place in Hyderabad. Perfect for Aqua Babies! 💙 beautiful sigh view at sunrise sunset and evening. You can enjoy the view whole day it has so many parks surrounded and cafes with water view. Parks and adventures. Lumbini park which has boat rides. You can take ride to buddha statue and see good view 360 degree. There is a park near by where theme wise fares are set up like summer fare, plants fare and more.

It's a nice place, has got good aesthetics and the boat ride to buddha is a sweet experience but the smell ruins the whole experience. The water smells real bad, hoping the government comes up with ways to deal with it.

Hussain Sagar Lake offers a peaceful boating experience with fewer crowds, making it ideal for a relaxing day. However, visitors should be aware that parts of the lake contain waste, so caution is advised. Don’t miss the opportunity to capture stunning photos in front of the Buddha statue—it's a must-see spot for any visitor!

Hussain Sagar Lake is one of the most beautiful and iconic places to visit in Hyderabad. The view of the lake, especially with the Buddha statue in the center, is truly amazing — perfect for evening visits and photos. I also tried speed boating here, and it was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend the 4-person boat — it costs around ₹500 and is totally worth it. You can enjoy the ride with friends or family. There’s also a 2-person speed boat, but the 4-person one feels more fun and comfortable. The cool breeze, the lake view, and the overall vibe make it a great spot for relaxation and adventure. Definitely a must-visit place in Hyderabad!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Peaceful Darshan at Wargal Temple, but Parking & Safety Need Improvement Hi all! I recently visited Sri Vidya Saraswathi Shani Temples, Wargal along with my father, mother, younger sister, and our lovely pet dog Sweety (Indian Pomeranian). This visit was part of our trip to Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swami Temple - Vemulawada, and we made a stop at Wargal temple on the way. 🙏 Darshan Experience: The darshan (దర్శనం) was very peaceful and spiritually fulfilling. The temple's architecture is beautiful, and its elevated structure gives it a divine presence. The steps leading up are quite steep, but the climb feels worth it once you reach the sanctum. 🌳 Parking Concerns: However, I did face a minor issue with the parking area. Some security personnel were allowing vehicles to go closer to the temple, while others were not — which felt a bit inconsistent. I had to park down the hill, where there was no proper shed or tree cover. This becomes a problem especially when you have pets or elderly people in the car. I request the temple management to consider planting trees — not just for vehicles but for devotees to rest and eat, as many families bring homemade food and prefer sitting under shade (a very Indian tradition!). 🕉️ Religious Observations: One more concern — I’ve noticed recently (including at this temple), that priests are not placing the Shatagopuram on devotees' heads unless money is offered. This is not in alignment with Sanatana Dharma (సనాతన ధర్మం) and must be addressed. Spiritual blessings should never be conditional. 🐾 Special note: I really appreciate that we could bring our pet along, and I hope more religious places become pet-aware and inclusive. 🌸 Lotus Pond Concern: They also have a beautiful lotus pond, but sadly, it’s maintained in a very careless way. The fencing is broken on one side, which is a serious safety hazard — especially for children, elderly, or even animals. If someone slips due to parental negligence or poor maintenance, it could lead to a tragic accident. I strongly urge the temple authorities to fix the fence and add warning signs immediately. ✅ Overall: A divine temple with serene energy, but needs serious attention in terms of parking, safety, and religious discipline. With a few improvements, this can become one of the most ideal temples for family visits.

Had an incredible experience at this divine place! The temple is open until 2 pm and reopens for darshan at 4 pm on weekends. Ample free parking space. The last slot for Aksharabhayasam is until 1:30 PM and the booking office is towards the left side of the main temple Gopuram. Annadanam is served daily until 2 pm. Truly a blessing to visit!"

Golconda Fort, once the capital of a flourishing kingdom from the 14th to 16th century, boasts 87 semi-circular bastions. While Hyderabad is known for iconic attractions like Charminar and Chowmahalla and Falaknuma Palaces, there are also hidden gems to explore. The city offers diverse experiences beyond its famous museums and delicious Hyderabadi biryani.
The fort is marvelous, though effect of time is clearly visible. You should try to visit this fort early in the morning, preferably in pleasant season. The fort gives a great view of the Hyderabad city and nearby landscape is beautiful especially in monsoons. Tickets are available at main entrance and guide service is available at a cost of Rs. 1,000. In order to understand the history, importance and architecture of the fort, it is advisable to hire a guide. The tour of the fort takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

I visited Golconda Fort , and it was a really good experience! It’s definitely one of the best historical places to visit in Hyderabad. The entry ticket costs just ₹25 per person, and there was no waiting time at all, which was great. The fort is huge, and as you climb up, you’ll come across Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas — both are beautiful spots that give you a glimpse into the royal architecture of the past. There’s also a small temple inside the fort, which adds a peaceful touch amidst the grand structure , there are some old canon as well there. You’re allowed to carry snacks inside, but not full food items. The climb to the top is a bit tiring, but totally worth it. Once you reach the top, the view is absolutely amazing — you can see a wide stretch of Hyderabad city from there. It’s truly breathtaking and perfect for photos! I also heard that there’s a secret tunnel or cave that connects Golconda Fort to Charminar, but I couldn’t find where it is. Maybe it’s hidden or closed off now, but it’s quite fascinating to think about how they built such things back then. Overall, it’s a really good place to visit if you’re in Hyderabad — a mix of history, architecture, and great views!

Absolutely amazing historical site! Golconda Fort is a must-visit for anyone in Hyderabad. The architecture is stunning and the fort's acoustic system is truly remarkable - you can hear sounds from one end to the other. The sunset views from the top are breathtaking. In the top one Hindu temple is also there. The light and sound show in the evening brings the fort's rich history to life. For that you have to buy separate ticket. It cost more. Well-maintained and full of fascinating stories from the past. Highly recommend visiting early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat. Well maintained. A perfect blend of history, architecture, and panoramic views!

Golconda Fort is one of the most fascinating historical sites I’ve ever visited! Located just outside Hyderabad, this majestic fort stands as a proud reminder of the region’s rich past. From the moment you step in, you’re surrounded by centuries of history, incredible architecture, and breathtaking panoramic views of the city. The fort is massive, so it’s best to wear comfortable shoes and carry some water. As you climb to the top, you’ll find ancient gateways, royal chambers, secret passages, and beautifully carved stonework. The acoustic system of the fort is particularly amazing — you can clap at the entrance and hear the sound echo at the top of the fort, which shows the brilliant engineering of those times. The evening light and sound show is absolutely worth attending. It narrates the history of Golconda in a very engaging way, with lights dancing on the walls of the fort and a powerful voiceover that makes the story come alive. Try to reach early so you can explore before sunset and then enjoy the show afterward. Overall, Golconda Fort is a must-visit for history lovers, photographers, and anyone visiting Hyderabad. It’s clean, well-maintained, and truly awe-inspiring. Pro tip: Please make sure to book your tickets in advance — especially on weekends or holidays — as there can be quite a bit of rush at times. It’ll save you time and make your visit smoother.

Golconda Fort is highly praised as a must-visit historical site in Hyderabad, notable for its impressive architecture, rich history, and panoramic city views. Visitors often highlight the fascinating history, impressive craftsmanship, and the spectacular evening light and sound show. However, be prepared for a lot of walking, and some reviews note that it can be a spooky or eerie place in certain areas. Positive aspects Historical and architectural significance: The fort is lauded for its fascinating history and impressive architecture, which many visitors find difficult to imagine being built in ancient times. Spectacular views: It offers a vantage view of the city of Hyderabad, making it a great spot for photography and sightseeing. Light and sound show: The evening light and sound show is a highly recommended experience. Potential for film shoots: Some visitors note that parts of the fort would be suitable for shooting films. Diamond trade history: Historically, the area was famous as the market city for diamond trade, a fact that has given the name "Golconda" a generic meaning associated with great wealth. Potential drawbacks and tips Requires significant walking: The fort is a very large area, and exploring it adequately can take a full day. The walk to the top is steep. Spooky atmosphere: Some areas, like a dark, alley-like area where bats were heard, are described as spooky, although this can also add to the eerie charm for some. Bring essentials: It's recommended to carry a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat or cap, and comfortable walking shoes. Check timings: The fort is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Fantastic Fort Visit! Went on a weekend and found the crowds manageable. The climb is easy, and the panoramic views from the top are incredibly photogenic. Highly recommend the hassle-free online ticket booking on the spot. If you want to dive deep into the history, a government guide is a must.

I got the chance to visit on a Saturday while in town for work and had a great time. The grounds are large and sprawling, and we easily spent about 2-3 hours exploring here. We arrived just before 11AM, and was not too crowded despite being a popular destination amongst tourists and locals alike. It definitely started ramping up as we were leaving, so it seems like morning hours may be the most peaceful. We chose not to hire one of the tour guides near the entrance and just explored on our own. I found the passageways and arches to be simultaneously maze-like and stunning. Although many parts of the fortress were in disrepair, it was exciting to imagine what daily life was like within these walls. While wandering around, I could visualize the ghosts of past millennia as their footsteps echoed through the magnificent stone walls and structures. After climbing to the top of the fort, we enjoyed the panoramic views of the city while dwelling in the strong, cool breeze, wicking away our sweat from the sunny day. People were genuinely curious to chat and take pictures together, and overall it was a very welcoming experience.

Chilkur Balaji Temple, also known as the “Visa Balaji Temple,” is one of the most famous and spiritually significant temples near Hyderabad. Located about 25 km from the city, on the banks of Osman Sagar Lake, this temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. It is unique because it operates without a hundi (donation box) and has no VIP privileges, emphasizing equality among all devotees. The temple is well known for fulfilling the wishes of devotees, especially those seeking visas for overseas travel—hence the name “Visa Balaji.” People from across the country visit this temple with faith and devotion. The tradition of taking 11 pradakshinas (circumambulations) while making a wish, and 108 pradakshinas once the wish is fulfilled, adds a deeply personal touch to the temple experience. The temple’s surroundings are peaceful, surrounded by greenery, making it an ideal place for prayer and meditation. Despite the crowds, especially on weekends and Thursdays, the atmosphere remains well-organized and spiritual. The chanting of “Govinda” echoes throughout the temple, filling the air with divine energy. One of the most admirable aspects of Chilkur Balaji Temple is its simplicity—there are no commercial activities inside, and everything revolves purely around devotion. The priests are humble and guide devotees with genuine care. Visiting this temple gives a sense of positivity, hope, and faith. Whether or not one’s wishes come true immediately, the peace and confidence gained here make every visit spiritually fulfilling and memorable.

The Visa Balaji Temple - A Place of Unwavering Faith and True Simplicity The Chilkur Balaji Temple, famously known as the 'Visa Balaji Temple,' is an experience unlike any other. No Hundi, No Donations , This is the most remarkable aspect. There are absolutely no collections, no VIP lines, and no special privilege , The tradition of performing 11 'pradakshinas' (circumambulations) with a specific wish, and returning to perform 108 pradakshinas upon its fulfillment, is powerful. Despite the crowd, the atmosphere is incredibly serene and focused on devotion. The chanting and the environment are purifying. Go early in the morning to avoid the peak crowds and heat, and ensure you understand the procedure before starting your pradakshinas! Highly recommended for anyone seeking mental peace and spiritual strength.

The place is really good and darshanam is quite easy without much waiting. However, the people outside selling pooja items like coconuts and flowers are charging too much, and there are many fake beggars who keep demanding money, which feels uncomfortable. Apart from that, the temple and its surroundings are peaceful, clean, and spiritually refreshing. The atmosphere inside gives a genuine devotional vibe and it’s a nice place to visit with family or friends for a calm and positive experience.

We recently visited this Chilkuru balaji temple , we went in a bike , they charged 10 rupees for paking charges . The overall temple is good . . I want to share you my experience of that how we got scammed . . After parking the bike , a man approached us and showed the directions to darshan . He picked us and went to a shop where the shop contains tulasi mala and coconuts . They told to buy them , we thought of 100 or 150 rupees for 2 coconuts and one tulasimala , shopkeeper told us the cost is 380 rupees . We conveyed of not buying them , then they took out helmets and warned us to buy otherwise we won't letgo from here . And as last option we Buyed that of spending 380 rupees on that. . Beware of that scams , the shopkeeper who scammed us , we took a video and photo of them from long distance. . I attached photos and videos in this review of them , the woman in redcolour saree sitting far is the one who scammed us . . And last we enquired the cost of same things that we spent 380 . Spectacular architecture and view. No doubt why so many people would love to travel here for a weekend trip. Nice and peaceful with proper covid precautions. No photography inside church, however, I could manage one before I was told. You could shop from the very little available stalls and lemon soda is the only food/beverage you could get within the premise. Loved the place!!

Beautiful and peaceful spot near Hyderabad with great views and calm vibe. 20₹ bike parking fee is collected by a police staff with a receipt. No food or water available on-site, you’ll need to go to Vikarabad town for that. Also no security staff around, which can be a concern for some visitors. Best to visit early morning and carry your own water and snacks.

Bidar Fort

Mentioned on
2 lists
Fortress
Sights & Landmarks
Bidar Fort, a historic fortress dating back to the 15th century, is renowned for its Islamic monuments and innovative water-supply system. It served as the administrative capital of a significant region and boasts impressive defensive features such as a triple moat carved from solid red rock and extensive walls. The fort's fairy-tale entrance winds through three gateways, leading to 37 bastions, numerous wells, and a vast magazine.
A vast and historically significant fort spreading through a large part of Bidar town. Huge structure and beautiful art and sculpture work inside the main palace and fort walls are noteworthy.
S M — Google review
Its a massive fort complex, replete with numerous structures including a jail, a common hall and a massive 12 ft (3.6m) long canon on the far side. It offers serene view of the nearby wilderness and valleys. A very unique triple moat structure and winding pathways inside this fort may make you feel very cramped at the start but the moment you enter inside there is a lot of open space. Quite an underrated spot.
Vishal C — Google review
Bidar Fort is one of the most underrated historical gems in Karnataka. The fort complex is massive and beautifully spread out, with impressive architecture, intricate carvings, old mosques, palaces, and gateways that reflect the Bahmani Sultanate’s rich history. The calm atmosphere and panoramic views from the fort walls make it a peaceful place to explore. It’s a great spot for history lovers, photographers, and even casual visitors who just want to enjoy an offbeat heritage site. On the flip side, maintenance could be better. Some areas are neglected, with overgrown grass and litter in corners. Information boards are limited, so unless you go with a guide, it can be difficult to understand the historical significance of each structure. Basic amenities like clean washrooms, drinking water, and food stalls are lacking inside the fort, so carrying your own water is a must. Overall, Bidar Fort is a must-visit if you are in or around Bidar. With better upkeep and tourist facilities, it has the potential to be one of the top heritage attractions in South India. ✅ Pros: Stunning architecture & rich history Peaceful and less crowded compared to other forts Great for photography and exploration ❌ Cons: Poor maintenance in some parts Limited information boards & guides Lack of basic amenities (washrooms, water, food stalls)
Amalan P — Google review
Worth a visit, fort is huge and built very well. Astonishing work. It has several layers to protect the rulers from enemy attacks. It is Kakatiya dynasty site captured by Tughlak. There is a small museum which has hindu relics and weapons used in that period. Small cafeteria is available inside for snacks and beverages. No entry or parking fee.

14th century fort built by bahamani kingdom. If you are in Bidar this is a place to visit. Vast fort spreads over 2/3 kms or more. Some locals have made it dirty with Gutka packs and spitting etc Most of the places inside the fort are locked.
Santosh H — Google review
Impressive Architecture and Monuments: Visitors consistently highlight the fort's magnificent architecture, reflecting both Bahamani and Persian styles. Historical Significance: The fort offers a glimpse into over 500 years of history, including the Western Chalukya and Bahmani eras. Free Entry and Parking: A major draw is that entry to the fort is free, and there are well-maintained parking facilities available. Less Crowded: Many appreciate that Bidar Fort is generally less crowded compared to other popular forts in India, allowing for a more relaxed and immersive experience. Panoramic Views: The fort's elevated location on the Bidar plateau offers stunning, panoramic views. Architectural Treasures: Inside the fort, visitors can explore structures like the Rangin Mahal (known for its colorful tile work), Gagan Mahal, Takhat Mahal, Jami Masjid, and Solah Khamba Masjid. Well-Preserved Elements: Despite being a ruin, the fort retains many original architectural features and showcases intricate details like tile work and stone carvings. Karez Water System: The unique ancient underground water supply system (karez) is a notable feature, demonstrating the engineering prowess of the past. Good for Photography: Ample opportunities exist for photography, with some suggesting taking 2-3 hours to capture its beauty. Good for Kids: Some reviews indicate it's a suitable place to visit with children. Well-Maintained and Informative: Some find it well-maintained with clear signage and security. Poor Maintenance in Areas: Some visitors have noted that certain areas of the fort suffer from poor maintenance. Limited Internal Attractions: Several reviewers mention that there are limited attractions inside the fort, especially within the ruined spaces. Difficulty Exploring Without a Guide: Some find it challenging to fully explore the fort without the assistance of a guide to provide context and information. Food Options: One visitor mentioned that the canteen inside the fort was not open during their visit, and other food options were scarce, suggesting visitors come prepared with snacks. Overall Bidar Fort is generally considered a highly worthwhile visit, especially for those interested in history, architecture, and photography. Its grand scale, unique features like the triple moat and Karez system, and the opportunity to delve into the past are significant draws. While some areas might lack meticulous upkeep, the overall experience seems to be positive for most visitors, with the added benefit of free entry and fewer crowds.

Jai Bhavani 🚩 Divine goddess place, thousands of people visit on a daily basis. Parking is somewhat far away from the temple. This place has a very respectful history and its legacy needs to be admired, but the place is always dirty and garbage is lying around, this is mainly because of the uncivilised people visiting this place and this needs to be changed.

Ahmednagar Fort

Mentioned on
15 lists
Sights & Landmarks
Fortress
Nestled in the heart of Ahmednagar, the historic Ahmednagar Fort is a captivating destination that beckons history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. This centuries-old fortress, originally built in the 16th century during the reign of the Ahmednagar Sultanate, boasts impressive architecture and a rich tapestry of stories from various rulers and dynasties. Once a prison for Indian independence leaders in the 1940s under British rule, it has witnessed countless invasions throughout its storied past.
One of the oldest forts in India. It has Nizam Shahi architecture and was the headquarters of the Ahmednagar Sultanate.
CYBER F — Google review
Only a certain portion of the fort is open to public.. army area.. parking available within the fort .. not maintained properly.. no tickets.. free entry.. 1. Foundation and Architectural Style: The fort was constructed around 1559 CE during the reign of Malik Ahmad Nizam Shah. Its architecture is a blend of medieval Indian military fortifications, with high walls, bastions, and a surrounding moat. It was designed to serve as a military stronghold and withstand sieges. The circular design with 24 bastions makes it one of the most formidable forts of its time. 2. Role in the Deccan Sultanates: Ahmednagar Fort was the seat of power for the Nizam Shahi dynasty of the Deccan region. It was central to their control over the Deccan Plateau and saw numerous battles during the wars between the Sultanates of Bijapur, Golconda, and the Mughal Empire. 3. Conflict with the Mughals: In 1600, the fort became the site of intense conflict when the Mughal Emperor Akbar laid siege to it. Chand Bibi, the queen regent of Ahmednagar, famously defended the fort against Akbar’s forces. However, the fort eventually fell to the Mughals, marking the decline of the Nizam Shahi dynasty. Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, also used Ahmednagar Fort during his campaigns to subdue the Marathas. 4. Role during British Rule: The fort gained renewed significance during the British colonial period. It was used as a prison by the British to detain several Indian freedom fighters during the independence movement. Most notably, Jawaharlal Nehru, along with other leaders of the Indian National Congress, was imprisoned in Ahmednagar Fort in 1942 during the Quit India Movement. Nehru wrote his famous book, "The Discovery of India," while incarcerated here

One of the oldest first in India but still in good condition as maintained by Indian Army. One can They allow to visit outer wall of the fort only and museum is open in special occasion like 15th August, 26th January. The fort is in circular shape and one can walk the entire outer wall on the walkway made on the top of the wall.

The Ahmednagar fort is a small fort occupied by military. Military allows visit of fort free. The structures inside fort are in dilapidated condition in absence of maintenance. The wall of fort is strong and one can walk on the wall of fort. It takes maximum one hour to complete tour of fort
Ravi S — Google review
The fort was built during A.D. 1553 to A.D. 1565. The fort has 24 bastions, one large gate and some other gates. The fort has seen many handovers of powers from Nizams to Mughals to Peshwa and to British emperors finally coming under regulation of India post independence. This is very strong fort on ground and was difficult to conquer in the history. It is quite large and some area can be seen by general public as rest of the area is army camp. During Aug 1942 to April 1945, Indian political leaders were kept as interns of this fort which was converted to British jail that time.. View from fort wall is very nice. Feel very proud to see big tricolor flag on the wall ! You can go to tank museum which is nearby (approx 3 km from fort)
Arun A — Google review
This is over 500 years old fort. It's now open to see it , just that we need to keep our id card at the entrance and need to pick it up once you are done. Octagonal Palace is a nice architectural monument. Leaders block is a place where many of the freedom fighters were prisoned from 1942- 1945. Our first prime minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru wrote his famous book Discovery of India in this prison. They have many self explanatory boards. One can walk on the walls of the fort. It's nice panoramic view. Very quite place.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Shree Mahaganapati Ranjangaon, one of the revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha, is a must-visit destination for devotees and travelers alike. Nestled in the serene village of Ranjangaon, approximately 50 km from Pune, this ancient temple boasts a rich history linked to Lord Shiva's invocation of Ganesha before vanquishing the demon Tripurasura.
I have visited this temple twice, and both times, it was a wonderful and spiritual experience. The temple has a peaceful and divine atmosphere, making it a must-visit for devotees of Lord Ganesha. The architecture is beautiful, and the temple premises are well-maintained. However, one thing that I did not like was the VIP darshan system. People who pay ₹100 per person get quick access, while others have to wait in long queues for 1-2 hours, and even longer (2-3 hours) on weekends. This makes it difficult for common devotees who visit with faith and devotion. Apart from that, the overall experience was great. The temple attracts a huge crowd, which shows its significance. If you plan to visit, try going on a weekday to avoid long waiting times.

🙏 Shree Mahaganapati Temple, Ranjangaon (Ashtavinayak Kshetra) श्री महागणपती मंदिर, रांजणगाव I recently had the divine opportunity to visit Shree Mahaganapati Temple at Ranjangaon – one of the eight revered Ashtavinayak temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva worshipped Ganesha before fighting the demon Tripurasura. The idol here is known as Mahaganapati, a powerful and majestic form of Ganesh with 10 trunks and 20 arms (though the original idol is kept hidden in the sanctum and shown only on special occasions). The temple architecture is stunning – a beautiful blend of peace, spirituality, and historic charm. The calmness and spiritual aura of the place are truly mesmerizing. It is well maintained and organized for devotees, even during weekends and holidays. The temple complex is clean, with ample space for parking, and basic amenities like toilets and drinking water. There are shops outside selling prasad, flowers, and souvenirs. I recommend reaching early in the morning or during the evening aarti time to avoid rush and experience the serene atmosphere. The drive from Pune is smooth and scenic (approx. 50 km), making it a perfect spiritual getaway. This temple is often visited as part of the full Ashtavinayak Yatra, but even if you’re visiting individually, it leaves you with a sense of divine satisfaction. 🌟 Tips for Devotees: Mobile phones and cameras are allowed, but photography inside the sanctum is restricted. Wear comfortable footwear (to be removed before entering the temple). Try the local Maharashtrian food in the nearby stalls. 🙏 A must-visit spiritual destination that combines devotion, history, and tranquility. Truly blessed to have experienced the divine presence of Mahaganapati Bappa! गणपती बाप्पा मोरया! 🙏

It’s a famous one of the Ashta-Vinayaka (Among 8 Main Ganapati Mandir) situated at Ranjangoan. The Mandir is small but the surrounding area is specious. Lots of small temples are situated inside the Mandir itself. The Entrance is amazing. There is no rush during weekdays. But lots of waiting during weekends and Sankashti.
Pratiksha D — Google review
A highly revered temple of Ganesh. It is one of the ashtavinayak temples. It is right on main road and quite crowded. There are lot of puja item shops on way to temple. Parking space is available but due to large crowd it is usually occupied. In Temple just before entering garbhagrih there is a large gold plate which has Ganapati Atharvashirsh engraved on it.
Vishal S — Google review
It was an amazing experience. It is easily accessible as it is just along the highway which makes it convenient to reach. The only downside is the huge line just for hardly 1 min of darshan which is a problem for almost all the temples so can't complain about it. The atmosphere is good, you can also sit for hours in the garden area as it is peaceful and calm.

🌸 Shirdi Sai Baba: A Divine Beacon of Peace and Spiritual Awakening 🌸 In the sacred town of Shirdi, nestled in the heart of Maharashtra, stands a holy sanctuary — the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple — a place that transcends religion, caste, and creed. It is not just a temple made of stone and mortar; it is a living realm of divinity, compassion, and universal brotherhood. People from all walks of life, regardless of their background, are drawn here in search of peace, healing, and inner transformation. Sai Baba of Shirdi, revered as a Saint, Fakir, and Satguru, is the embodiment of love without conditions and faith without fear. His presence continues to inspire millions across the globe to lead lives rooted in truth, humility, and devotion. Baba never identified with any particular religion — he often said, "Sabka Malik Ek" — “God is One”. These simple yet profound words echo through time, reminding us that the divine resides in all beings. 🕊️ The World of Peace and Spiritual Harmony To step into the world of Sai Baba is to step into a space of deep inner stillness. His teachings were not filled with complex rituals or doctrines; rather, they focused on compassion, tolerance, patience, forgiveness, and faith. The very air of Shirdi carries a vibration of calmness and spiritual elevation, guiding the restless soul toward serenity. Baba taught us that true spirituality lies in selfless service, in helping others, in feeding the hungry, in comforting the grieving, and in uplifting the downtrodden. He saw no difference between rich and poor, Hindu and Muslim, or educated and uneducated — to him, all were children of the One Supreme Power. 🌿 Life Lessons from Sai Baba: Learning to Truly Live The timeless wisdom of Sai Baba is a guide to navigating the challenges of modern life with grace and dignity. Here are some of the most cherished lessons we can draw from his life: Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience): Baba constantly emphasized these two pillars. Have unshakeable faith in the Divine, and wait with patience; everything unfolds in its time. Love All, Serve All: He urged people to rise above ego and hatred and instead, serve humanity with love. Service to others is service to God. Forgive and Let Go: Holding on to anger or revenge only poisons the soul. Sai Baba often forgave even those who wronged him — a true lesson in humility and spiritual strength. Equality and Unity: Baba broke down all social and religious barriers. His very life was a message that we are all one, united under one Divine light. Contentment and Simplicity: He lived a humble life, teaching us to find joy not in material wealth, but in gratitude, simplicity, and inner contentment. --- 🙏 A Personal Journey with Baba For many devotees, Baba is more than a saint — he is a companion, guide, healer, and divine protector. Whether you're facing illness, emotional turmoil, or spiritual confusion, turning to Baba with a sincere heart brings light into the darkest moments. His presence is not bound by time or space. You may feel it in the stillness of a prayer, the kindness of a stranger, or the silent answers that come in meditation. Baba listens to every heart that calls him, and his grace flows silently yet powerfully. --- 🛕 In Closing: A Temple in the Heart While the Shirdi temple is a sacred pilgrimage for millions, the true temple of Baba is the human heart. When we live by his teachings — of love, service, and truth — we carry his spirit with us wherever we go. In doing so, we become channels of the very peace and light that Sai Baba offered to the world. May Sai Baba bless you and your loved ones with health, harmony, guidance, and unwavering faith. May his light shine on your path and lead you to the divine peace that resides within. 🕉️ Om Sai Ram! 🕉️

There are many gates to enter the temple but if you want to have a free darshan then enter from gate no. 7. The charge for VIP darshan is 200 rupees. You have to deposit your mobile in the clock room where the charge is 5 rupees per phone. You get darshan in 30 minutes. The management is very good, there is a provision to sit in the line inside and there is also a washroom and there is also a provision for many fan coller..

Om sainathaye namaha.. excellent systematic approach !! Govt and non govt securities work hand in hand in managing the entire devotees and puja system inside which is really appreciable. Hatsoff to the management. They have dedicated staff for handling lockers where devotees can keep their valuables as mobile and gadgets are not allowed inside the mandir.premises. We had experienced such a wonderful view of baba not once but twice.. want to visit again. Jai ho!!!

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple is a peaceful and divine place to visit. Near Gate 6, you’ll find mobile lockers available for just Rs 5 per phone, along with free shoe stands. For free darshan, head to Gate 7, which you can reach from Dwarkamai Temple, if Dwarkamai is in front of you, go left and take the first right. You’ll pass the mobile lockers first, and then Gate 7 is right there. On weekends, the wait time for free darshan is usually around 3 hours, and the entire process can take 3-4 hours. We also visited once on a Monday morning around 6 AM, and it only took about 1.5 to 2 hours for the complete Darshan. If you prefer paid darshan, you can either book online in advance or book near temple, enter through Gate 6 when you arrive. Wait time is much lesser than free Darshan but it'll still take almost 2 if crowded. Inside the temple, there is usually some waiting time before darshan, so visitors are asked to sit in waiting halls. Opposite these halls, there’s a counter where you can get free unlimited tea and biscuits. They also sell chips and water at prices much lower than market rate. After darshan, don’t forget to pick up your free food coupons next to the neem tree. Near the exit, you will also receive packets of prasad and vibhooti. Additionally, there’s a laddu counter near the lendi garden entry, opposite the neem tree, where you can get the famous Shirdi laddu.

Situated off Pune Nashik Highway, this temple is one of the Ashtavinayak temples. Lord Ganesha is revered by multitude of devotees as @Vignahar@ or remover of obstacles. To have a peaceful darshan it is better to choose a weekday, which is not a Ganesha festival or a public holiday. If you are planning to reach this temple from Pune, the route being the main artery to various industrial clusters, please start in the wee hours of the morning to avoid traffic jams.

Here all the big infrastructure is owned by Vighnaharta Ganpati temple authority. They own this spacious hall .it is very nicely maintained.Total surrounding of temple and village is covered with lush greenery.Whole area is very neat and clean.A beautiful river is very neatly and cleanly maintained.Prices of hall for any function is minimal. You can opt for accommodation in the hotels build by Temple authority and these Hotels are very much reasonable also they have multiple accomodation options.Climate here is really pleasant.
