This is a very beautiful place to visit just 40 km from Itarsi, Madhya Pradesh, India. Though I visited in summer time but this dam will be more attractive to visit during rainy season. The nearby Tawa Resort managed by MP TOURISM is only place for staying and for boating in Tawa Reservoir.

The place is good for family trip .Resort stay is bit costly but food and rooms are very high standards. view from room is amazing specially in sun rise timing .Internet and phone connectivity is big problem . Celebrated Dussehra in nearby village which was also very exciting and thrilling experience.

The Dam is situated near to the the Govt. Ordinance factory having a direct road internally, but is restricted to be used by general public, hence do not follow the 1st road suggestion Maps offer you but take the second road instead. Now, as a location it offers great option for many water sports, being charged accordingly. The reservation for which can be made through reception of Tawa Resort. The dam itself is a nice picnic spot, picturesque nature blooming with dense forest of Teak & being the longest dam of state you are bound to see a big catchment area in sight. Weekends are rush hour due to its accessibility in all seasons, connected by the NH 69, which leads to forest trail of about 10 kms before reaching the spot. You can opt for either dam top or dam view point both being equally good location. The charges for cruise are 130₹ pp for 45 min ,1030₹ for family boat of 25 min & 660₹ for 15 min of speed boat joyride.

One of the most underrated location for people near Bhopal and Jabalpur. The dam staffs are very cordial and helpful. Sethani Ghat: This expansive ghat is a favored spot for locals and visitors to take holy dips in the Narmada River. This is a spiritual place. You can forget all of your stresses here. Beautiful temples and the river Narmada is the main attraction of this area. And another attraction is Sandhya Arati. It gives you an auspicious vibe. You can also reserve a boat to roam across the river. The clean water of the river also attracts you. You can purchase and eat various things here.
Rajendranath P — Google review
Narmadapuram is one of the prominent places on the Narmada river and Sethani ghat has good views and is capacity to hold good crowd. The river is wide and gives good views. One can safely have a dip in the holy river. You can feel fish biting the dead skin on your feet. The water current is not so heavy, you can stand comfortably to say prayers. Make sure you wear your footwear till the waters; the mid-day sun is so powerful that it becomes very difficult to walk bare foot. Concerned authorities must put some effort to clear the trash and other material in the water close to the steps.
Upendra M — Google review

Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka

Mentioned on
2 lists
Historical place
Nature & Parks
The Bhimbetka rock shelters are a UNESCO World Heritage Site located near Bhopal. Primitive human inhabitants approximately 100,000 years ago used these rock shelters for household and hunting scenes, as evident from the paintings on their walls. Surrounded by a forest, only around 14-15 of these rock shelters are open for public viewing. Visitors can follow designated trails to explore the area and witness the historical significance of the ancient paintings made by primitive men that still exist in these rock shelters.
The Bhimbetka Rock Shelters, often referred to as the Bhimbetka Caves, are an extraordinary archaeological site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, India, about 45 km south-east of Bhopal. They are significant for several reasons: 1. Prehistoric Rock Paintings The site is most famous for its vast collection of prehistoric rock paintings (or rock art) that adorn the walls and ceilings of the shelters. * Age: The oldest paintings are estimated to be up to 30,000 years old, dating back to the Upper Paleolithic and Mesolithic periods, making it the oldest known rock art in India. * Themes: The artwork offers a vivid chronicle of human life, depicting scenes like: * Hunting and gathering. * Dancing, rituals, and ceremonies. * Depictions of animals (bison, tigers, elephants, deer, etc.) and mythical creatures. * Later paintings show warriors on horseback and battle scenes. * Technique: The paintings were created using natural pigments like ochre, red, white, green, and yellow, which have largely stood the test of time. * Chronology: The paintings have been classified into seven different periods, showing the sequence of cultural evolution from hunter-gatherers to expressions of spirituality during the historic period. 2. Evidence of Early Human Life The shelters provide the earliest traces of human life and habitation on the Indian subcontinent, spanning from the Paleolithic through the Mesolithic and into the historic period. * Inhabitation: The site consists of over 750 rock shelters distributed over 10\text{ km}, with at least some evidence suggesting habitation over 100,000 years ago. * Artifacts: In addition to the art, archaeologists have unearthed tools, weapons, and other artifacts, including Acheulean stone tool assemblages, providing insights into prehistoric life. 3. Cultural Significance * UNESCO World Heritage Site: The Bhimbetka Rock Shelters were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003, recognizing their universal value as an exceptional testimony to human cultural heritage. * Etymology: The name "Bhimbetka" is popularly believed to be derived from "Bhimbaithka" (Bhim's seating place), referencing Bhima, one of the Pandava brothers from the epic Mahabharata. * Global Connection: The art found here bears striking resemblances to other prehistoric rock art sites around the world, such as the Lascaux Caves in France and the Kakadu National Park in Australia, suggesting a shared heritage of early human expression. In essence, Bhimbetka is a massive, open-air gallery and an archaeological treasure trove that offers an unparalleled glimpse into the daily lives, beliefs, and artistic development of our most ancient ancestors.

If you want to experience Historical vibes must visit this place. You will see the lot of hand made painting by humans. Their caves. And thanks to Madhya Pradesh Government they maintain all things properly. We enjoy afternoon here.
Bhupesh Y — Google review
The Bhimbetka Caves, located within the boundaries of the Ratapani Tiger Reserve in Raisen district, southern Madhya Pradesh, about 40 km from Bhopal, are a group of seven hills made of quartzite rocks, part of the Vindhya Hills. They were first discovered by V.S. Wakankar during his train journey from Bhopal to Itarsi in 1957. Bhimbetka is the oldest evidence of paintings and habitation by early humans in the Indian subcontinent. The Bhimbetka paintings date from the Upper Paleolithic period (approximately 40,000 BC - 10,000 BC) to the historical period (first millennium BC), suggesting that the area was inhabited for a long time. Approximately 650 caves in Bhimbetka are painted, but only 15 are open to tourists. Animals are predominant in the Bhimbetka paintings. According to one study, 29 species of animals are depicted, including elephants, rhinoceroses, lions, blackbucks, and wild buffaloes, which are not currently found in the region. Sixteen colors are used in these paintings, with white and red being the most prevalent. Animals are depicted either independently or in hunting scenes. Some paintings may have had ritualistic purposes. Human figures are depicted in geometric patterns. An examination of these paintings reveals the gender division of labor prevalent in that period: men are mostly depicted in hunting scenes, while women are depicted in activities such as food gathering and preparation.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 Stars – A Mind-Blowing Journey Back in Time! The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka are honestly one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to — it’s like stepping straight into prehistory! 😍 The vibe here is unreal — surrounded by hills, forests, and ancient rock formations, you can literally feel the history in the air. The prehistoric cave paintings are the real showstopper. Some of them are over 10,000 years old, yet still so vivid and expressive. It’s wild to think that early humans once lived, danced, and hunted right here. The artwork tells stories — from daily life to rituals — and it’s crazy how creative and advanced they were back then. The place is super well-maintained, with clear paths, helpful signs, and peaceful surroundings. It’s quiet, serene, and perfect for anyone who loves nature, history, or just wants a chill escape from the city chaos. If you’re visiting Bhopal or anywhere nearby, Bhimbetka is an absolute must-visit. It’s not just a tourist spot — it’s an experience that connects you to the roots of human civilization. 🌄 ✨ Totally 5/5 stars — breathtaking, historical, and straight-up magical!
Ritesh S — Google review
The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka, at the southern edge of the Vindhya Range about 45 kilometers southeast of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, form one of the most extraordinary windows into prehistoric human life. Spread across seven hills—Vinayaka, Bhonrawali, Bhimbetka, Lakha Juar East and West, Jhondra, and Muni Babaki Pahari—the site contains over 750 natural sandstone shelters stretching nearly 10 kilometers. Surrounded by the dense greenery of the Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary, the setting is serene yet powerful, with towering rock formations above forested valleys where humanity left its earliest marks. Archaeological evidence suggests Bhimbetka has been inhabited for more than 100,000 years, making it the oldest known human settlement in the Indian subcontinent. It bears traces of all major prehistoric phases—from the Lower Paleolithic to the Mesolithic, Chalcolithic, and early historic periods. The earliest inhabitants were hunter-gatherers who used these natural shelters for protection. Over millennia, they recorded their lives on sandstone walls with vivid mineral pigments, creating one of the world’s richest collections of prehistoric art. The rock paintings of Bhimbetka reveal an unbroken story of human creativity and community. The oldest, dating to around 10,000 BCE, depict large animals—bison, tigers, rhinoceroses, and bears—creatures that once roamed these forests. These bold, energetic images express primal vitality. Later Mesolithic paintings show humans hunting, dancing, and playing instruments, reflecting communal life. With the Chalcolithic period appear motifs of agriculture, domestic life, and geometric patterns, marking the transition from nomadic to settled communities. Later artworks depict warriors, processions, religious symbols, and mythical motifs, signs of organized society and the dawn of history. This artistic continuity makes Bhimbetka a living chronicle of human evolution and belief. Successive layers of paintings reveal changing cultures and environments. In some shelters, such as Bhonrawali and Lakha Juar, new generations painted over older ones, forming a striking visual record of time. The colors, made from hematite, manganese oxides, and plant extracts, have withstood centuries, still glowing on crimson sandstone under soft forest light. The site’s modern discovery is equally fascinating. Long revered by local tribes as a sacred site linked to Bhima of the Mahabharata, its scientific importance was recognized in 1957 by archaeologist V. S. Wakankar, who noticed its resemblance to prehistoric sites in Europe. Excavations uncovered Acheulean tools, microliths, hearths, and artifacts comparable to the world’s earliest human settlements. In 2003, Bhimbetka was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site under criteria (iii) and (v), honoring its testimony to human cultural development and its enduring connection between people and their natural landscape. Nearby Adivasi traditions still echo the themes seen in these ancient paintings, preserving continuity across ages. Visiting Bhimbetka is a humbling experience. The shelters open like chapters of an ancient story, each revealing scenes from forgotten eras frozen in pigment and stone. The silence of the forest deepens one’s sense of kinship with humanity’s earliest ancestors. The murmur of wind across the rocks and the distant calls of birds evoke a time when art was life itself, a sacred expression of being. The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka stand today not merely as an archaeological site but as a timeless testament to human imagination, endurance, and the universal need to leave one’s story upon the earth.

Bhimbetka is renowned for its ancient rock shelters that preserve some of India’s earliest known cave paintings, dating from the Paleolithic through Mesolithic and later historical eras. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the area includes hundreds of painted shelters—over 400 in total— illustrating hunting scenes, dancing figures, and various animals, offering valuable insight into the lifestyle and creativity of prehistoric humans.

Stup-3 located near stup-1 in the Buddhist monument complex in sanchi.
Jyoti M — Google review
This stupa is located in the 'Buddhist Monuments of Sanchi'. Similar in shape to Stupa 1, but much smaller in size, this stupa is believed to have housed the relics of two of the Buddha's disciples. There is only one intricately carved gateway. Actually this is the first monument one sees after entering the complex.
Suresh M — Google review
Stupa 3 (स्तूप 3) at Sanchi is another significant Buddhist monument located near the Great Stupa (Stupa No. 1). Though smaller in size, it holds great historical and spiritual value. Key Facts about Stupa 3: Location: Sanchi, Madhya Pradesh, India Period: Built in the 2nd century BCE during the Shunga period Purpose: Houses the relics of two prominent Buddhist monks—Sariputta and Mahamaudgalyayana, the chief disciples of Gautama Buddha
Jinu M — Google review
Stupa 3 is a small version of the main stupa located in the Buddhist monument complex in Sanchi. It's much smaller in size and has less carvings, but it still makes a pretty sight. The Stupa is in a good condition and it's said that a century back the remains of Buddha’s loyal disciples were recovered from the inner halls of the stupa by the British archeologists.
Divyesh W — Google review
STUPA No.3 -(SECOND CENTURY B.C.) The relics of the Buddha's two chief disciples were found in the ruins of Stupa No.3 at Satdhara (six and a half miles west of Sanchi) which measured about forty feet in diameter and was smaller than the Great Stupa.
Veludharan — Google review
A small but beautiful Stupa (next to the grand Stupa no 1) that supposedly held the relics of one of Buddha's first disciples. It's in a good condition because it has been restored to a large extent by the British and ASI.
Ankur P — Google review
Stupa 3 at Sanchi may be smaller than the Great Stupa, but it's equally impressive in its own right. It has beautifully carved gateways (toranas) similar in style to those of Stupa 1, showcasing fine craftsmanship and detailed storytelling through stone. Historically, it is significant as it is believed to contain relics of two of Buddha’s chief disciples—Sariputta and Moggallana. The peaceful surroundings and the spiritual aura make it a special spot for both history lovers and those seeking a moment of calm. A must-visit while exploring the Sanchi complex.

Buddhist Monuments at Sanchi

Mentioned on

Monument
Sights & Landmarks
The Buddhist Monuments at Sanchi are a collection of ancient structures, including a stupa, that date back to the 2nd century BCE. These monuments have been designated as a world heritage site and are known for their decorative reliefs. The site is home to stone carvings and Buddhist sculptures that showcase the lifestyle, culture, traditions, and livelihoods of past civilizations from the Ashika dynasty era.
Another beautiful religious and historical site around an hour drive from Bhopal, which has the major airport and nearest train station. It has a reasonable ticket and your bags will be checked prior to entry. Taking food in is forbidden. There are toilets and resting area outside. The whole stupa areas are excellently maintained. You can hire guides who will take you through the history of these wonderful monuments, but the overall visit can take 1-2 hours if you wish to see all of them. Good luck spotting the beautiful wildlife around including peacocks. Stunning world heritage site and I’m so happy to see its upkeep has improved in the last two decades.

Sanchi Stupa is a calm and beautiful historical place. It’s one of the oldest Buddhist sites in the world, built over 2,000 years ago. The main stupa is huge and surrounded by four carved gates that tell stories from Buddha’s life. The area is peaceful, clean, and great for a quiet walk. Not too crowded, so you can take your time and enjoy the views. There’s also a small museum near the entrance. • Entry fee is low • Carry water and wear a cap – it gets hot

The Sanchi Stupa is located in sanchi, vidisha about 50 km from Bhopal. The Stupas of Sanchi is a World Heritage site... that's why many foreign tourists visit here. The Site is clean, well managed and easily accessible. The Campus can be roamed by walking. The Stupas and other ruins are so well preserved and maintained, you cannot believe that it's 2 millennia old. The Place is very peaceful although it was a public holiday and many people visited there...you can feel some sort of peaceful energy here. The Great Stupa of Sanchi is built by Ashoka the Great in the 3rd century B.C.E. It's one of the oldest Stone structures in india about 2,300 years old. After the Kalinga war and attaining Buddhism, Ashoka began to spread the teachings of Buddha. But the whole campus was not built under Ashoka's reign. It was extended during the Shung and Satvahana period. Sanchi Stupa is one of the monuments that gives you an idea how culturally prosperous India was.

Sanchi stup situated near Bhopal. Approx distance from bhopal is 50 km. Nearest Railway station is Sanchi on Delhi to Bhopal route but preferably Bhopal Junction. Built as one of India's oldest stone structures, its original brick dome was later enhanced with elaborate gateways and a balustrade depicting Buddhist themes. The site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, includes other Buddhist monuments and features significant historical and religious inscriptions
DHANRAJ S — Google review
🕊️ Sanchi Stupa, Madhya Pradesh (UNESCO World Heritage Site) 📜 Historical Background Built by: Emperor Ashoka the Great of the Mauryan dynasty. Period: Around 3rd century BCE, soon after Ashoka embraced Buddhism. Location: Sanchi village, about 10 km from Vidisha and 46 km from Bhopal. Significance: The oldest surviving stone structure in India. A key center of Buddhist art, architecture, and learning for nearly 1,300 years. Sanchi became a major pilgrimage site representing the spread of Dhamma (Buddha’s teachings) across India and beyond. --- 🏗️ Architectural Features 1. The Great Stupa (Stupa No. 1): Originally built of brick by Ashoka and enlarged during the Shunga period (2nd century BCE). A hemispherical dome symbolizing the universe and the enlightened mind of the Buddha. Contains relics of the Buddha’s disciples (Sariputta and Mahamoggallana, according to tradition). 2. Toranas (Gateway Arches): Four elaborately carved stone gateways facing the four cardinal directions. Added around 1st century BCE under the Satavahanas. Depict scenes from the Jataka tales, illustrating the Buddha’s previous births and moral lessons. The Buddha is represented symbolically — by footprints, the Bodhi tree, an empty throne, or the Wheel of Dharma (Dharmachakra). 3. Harmika and Chatra: The square railing (harmika) atop the dome encloses a triple umbrella (chatra) — symbols of spiritual sovereignty and protection. 4. Enclosing Rail and Pathways: A stone railing surrounds the stupa with a circumambulatory path (pradakshina patha) for devotees to walk clockwise in reverence. 5. Other Monuments: Several smaller stupas (Nos. 2 & 3), monasteries, temples, and the Ashokan Pillar with an exquisite lion capital (now in the museum). --- 🪶 Symbolism and Art Sanchi’s art reflects simplicity, serenity, and narrative richness. Located in Madhya Pradesh, India, the Sanchi Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its collection of ancient Buddhist monuments. The most prominent among them, the Great Stupa, was originally commissioned by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE. The site is revered as a sacred Buddhist complex that enshrines relics of the Buddha. The Great Stupa is characterized by its large hemispherical dome, intricately carved gateways (toranas), and an encircling stone railing (vedika). Alongside the main structure, the complex also features additional stupas, stone pillars, and sculptures. Rediscovered in 1818, the site has since been the focus of systematic conservation and restoration efforts.

World Famous Archeological Monument that is significant from a historical and religious standpoint. Relics of Buddhist monks abound in and around and add to the sanctity of this ancient site. The main Stupa has 4 gates in each direction. The ASI (Archeological Survey of India) has maintained the site beautifully and added a few attractions like a sound & light show and a museum.

Sanchi Archaeology is a very good place. You will find many types of sculpture here. You must visit here. If you visit Sanchi Stupa, then you must visit Archaeology. It is only 700 meters away from there. If you want, you can also go there by walking. When I went here, I got free entry. If you are interested in sculptures, then you must visit here. Here you will find detailed information about how the Sanchi Stupa was built and how it was constructed. Where were these sculptures found and made? The best thing is that the guards here will cooperate with you in a very good manner. They will give you information in a very good manner and please do not touch any statue after going here.

This is one of the best places near Vidisha district. Sanchi is about 5 km away from Vidisha and is known for its stupa, built in honor of Lord Buddha. It is one of the best places to visit. I personally recommend visiting by 3 PM or earlier so you have enough time to explore, as it closes at 5 PM. You will get sufficient time to sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful Buddhist architecture. If you are visiting Sanchi, don’t forget to see the Udayagiri Caves, which are around 7 km from the Sanchi Stupa.

Such a wonderful place to know about the historical events! There are many sculptures and monuments to see inside the museum. There's a sense of peace and the staff there are also very co-operative and knowledgeable. You don't need a guide, the guards over there know everything about those things.

Archaeological Museum Sanchi established on the hilltop, in 1919, by Sir John Marshall. Subsequently, Archaeological Survey of India acquired a college building at the foot hill of Sanchi Stupa and got the exhibits shifted to the new building in the year 1966 and in the same year the museum was opened for the public. The museum comprises main hall and four galleries besides exhibits in the verandah and a few in open courtyards.

Located near the famous Sanchi Stupa, the museum offers a wonderful collection of artifacts that bring ancient Indian art and Buddhist heritage to life. The sculptures, inscriptions, and relics preserved here are not only historically valuable but also showcase the fine craftsmanship of the Maurya, Shunga, and Gupta periods. One of the most impressive displays is the original Ashokan Lion Capital, which is the national emblem of India. Seeing it up close gives you a deep sense of pride and connection to our past. The museum also houses beautifully carved panels, gateways, and figures that depict stories from the Jataka tales and the life of Buddha. Each piece is well-presented with detailed descriptions, making it easy to understand the significance even for casual visitors. The museum is not very large, but it is very well maintained and neatly organized. The staff is courteous, and photography rules help preserve the artifacts. Sights & Landmarks
The Bhojeshwar Mahadev Temple, located in the rural village of Bhojpur just outside of the city of Bhopal, is a well-known Hindu temple that dates back to at least the 10th or 11th century. The temple is unfinished, and its architecture and construction remain a mystery due to unknown reasons. Despite this lack of completion, the temple remains an important part of Hindu culture and tradition in the area.
Visiting the Bhojeshwar Temple in Bhojpur, Madhya Pradesh, is like stepping back in time. Though incomplete, this ancient marvel exudes grandeur and serenity. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple houses an awe-inspiring 7.5-foot high lingam in its sanctum — one of the tallest in India. The sheer scale and architectural brilliance are enough to leave anyone spellbound. Believed to have been constructed in the 11th century during the reign of the Paramara king Bhoja, the temple stands as a powerful testament to the vision and craftsmanship of that era. Despite its unfinished state, the Bhojeshwar Temple remains spiritually enriching and historically significant. Whether you're a history lover, a devotee, or simply seeking peace in a scenic setting, this temple offers a unique and humbling experience. A must-visit gem in the heart of Madhya Pradesh!

The Bhojeshwar Mahadev Temple is an 11th-century incomplete Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Bhojpur, near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. It is famous for housing one of the largest Shiva Lingams in the world, which stands over 7.5 feet tall and is carved from a single stone. The temple is considered an architectural marvel, notable for its massive construction, intricate carvings, and the remaining architectural plans and ramps used in its construction

The Bhojpur Shivling is closely associated with the unfinished Bhojeshwar Temple, believed to have been commissioned in the 11th century by King Bhoja of the Paramara dynasty. The temple is renowned for its massive monolithic Shiva lingam, standing about 2.3 meters tall, which is regarded as the largest of its kind in India. Although the construction was abruptly discontinued for reasons that remain uncertain, the site today holds the status of a Monument of National Importance and is preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Tropic of Cancer is an imaginary line that runs at an angle of 23.50 degrees north of the Equator and passes through several countries, including India. In Madhya Pradesh, the Tropic of Cancer can be found at Chhola, about thirty kilometers from Bhopal and eighteen kilometers from Sanchi on the Bhopal-Vidisha highway.
The Tropic of Cancer landmark near Salamatpur, located along the Bhopal–Vidisha Highway in Madhya Pradesh, is a must-visit spot for geography enthusiasts, travelers, and anyone who appreciates unique roadside attractions. Marked with a well-maintained signboard and informative markers, this spot commemorates the imaginary line that passes through India and several other countries, dividing the Earth’s tropical and temperate zones. As you approach the location (CHXV+8WC), the signage indicating the exact point where the Tropic of Cancer crosses is clear and visible from the road, making it an easy stop for travelers and tourists. It's both a fun and educational experience to stand on the line that marks one of the five major circles of latitude on Earth. For school children, educators, and photography lovers, this place provides a perfect backdrop for learning and capturing memorable moments. The site is clean, safe, and features basic amenities like a resting spot and shaded area. The board provides brief geographical information about the Tropic of Cancer and its significance. It’s quite interesting to visualize that this very line passes through eight Indian states and contributes to various climatic conditions across the country. The unique photo opportunity of standing on the line that divides the tropical and subtropical zones makes this a fun and insightful stopover. Surrounded by natural beauty and located between the historic towns of Bhopal and Vidisha, this spot can easily be included in a day trip itinerary. Just a short drive away are other attractions like Sanchi Stupa and Udayagiri Caves, making this stop both convenient and enriching. In conclusion, the Tropic of Cancer point in Madhya Pradesh is more than just a geographical marker—it’s a symbol of curiosity, learning, and exploration. It was really a wonderful and amazing experience to stand &/or cross the imaginary lines of the globe which we have studied in our geography... But being there is a surreal feeling... A sense of accomplishment that we have been to the centre of India. Feeling proud to be at this Fantastic location…
Shivaji D — Google review
WHO SAYS TROPIC OF CANCER IS AN IMAGINARY LINE ? We were taught in schools that : 1) Tropic of Cancer is an imaginary latitude located at 23.5 degrees North of Equator. 2) It passes through 16 countries, three continents, and six bodies of water. 3) It marks the northern most latitude where the sun is directly overhead around June 21st, marking the beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. 4) This imaginary line passes through eight Indian states viz Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Tripura, and Mizoram. But the sign boards , the bold lines drawn on the high way, the photo spot meant for clicking photos on Bhopal-Vidisha highway, give you a feeling that the Tropic of Cancer is a real existing line and not just an imaginary one. Once you are in Bhopal and have decided to visit Sanchi Stupa and/or Udayagiri Caves, it makes sense to stop over at this place on the Highway , where the so called imaginary line of Tropic of Cancer passes through. Visited the Tropic of Cancer line near Bhopal – a fascinating spot for geography lovers! It’s amazing to stand exactly on the line that divides the tropics from the temperate zone. The area is peaceful with clear signage marking the latitude. Great place for a quick photo stop and a fun educational moment. Would recommend it for a short detour if you’re exploring around Bhopal.

The Tropic of Cancer marker is located on the highway (NH-146) between Bhopal and Sanchi, specifically near the town of Salamatpur. It's a simple, unassuming monument—a concrete board or pillar with a sign and a white line painted across the road. It's a quick, five-minute stop to snap a picture and contemplate the geographical significance of the spot. It's not a place you'll spend a lot of time. It's best treated as a fun and educational pit-stop on your way to the main attractions of Sanchi. The main draw is the chance to stand on the imaginary line that divides the Earth's Northern Hemisphere. It's a great photo opportunity and a conversation starter. The Tropic of Cancer crossing is not the main destination itself but an excellent addition to a trip that includes other nearby historical and archaeological sites. The area is famous for the Buddhist Monuments at Sanchi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Udayagiri Caves. Many visitors combine these places into a single day trip from Bhopal.

Sights & Landmarks
Taj-ul-Masajid, also known as the "Crown of Mosques," is a massive 19th-century red-stone mosque located in Bhopal, India. It boasts imposing minarets, white domes, and intricate carved arches that showcase the city's elegant architectural style. Despite facing construction setbacks throughout history, it was finally completed in 1985 through public donations.
A Sikh's Perspective: A Soulful Experience at Taj-ul-Masajid, Bhopal As a Sikh and someone who deeply values spiritual architecture and interfaith harmony, visiting Taj-ul-Masajid in Bhopal was a moving and memorable experience. The name itself — meaning "Crown of Mosques" — is a fitting tribute to this majestic structure that stands tall not just in scale, but in grace, serenity, and historical importance. The first thing that struck me was its grandeur and tranquility. One of the largest mosques in India, it rises proudly with its pink façade, massive domes, and soaring minarets — a reminder of India's rich Islamic architectural heritage. The mosque isn't just a place of worship, it's a living monument that carries centuries of devotion, resilience, and artistry. What stood out most to me was the warmth and openness of the people. I was greeted with respect and curiosity. There was no barrier of faith — only shared reverence. It reminded me of the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who emphasized "Na koi Hindu, na Musalman" — that at the root of all spiritual paths is one universal truth and Creator. Whether you're spiritual, a lover of history, or simply someone seeking peace — I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Taj-ul-Masajid. It's not just a mosque — it's a celebration of faith, culture, and the diversity that defines India.
AstroSarvam S — Google review
This mosque is a very beautiful mosque. After going here you will feel as if you have gone there many years ago. People go to the mosque here to offer prayers. There are very good people living here with whom I have talked. They gave me a lot of information about the mosque. They told me how this mosque was built, who built it, when it was built, so after coming here I felt very good going inside this mosque.
Lakshmi R — Google review
When I stepped inside Taj-ul-Masajid in Bhopal, it honestly felt like time slowed down. The calmness of the place hits you first — that soft echo of azaan, the faint scent of ittar in the air, and the reflection of its grand pink domes on the still water of the courtyard. The mosque is massive — one of the largest in India — but what truly amazed me wasn’t just its size, it was its soul. Every arch, every marble corridor tells a story of faith, patience, and the artistry of Mughal architecture. Standing there, watching the sunlight filter through the arches, I could almost feel the centuries of devotion that built this masterpiece. And when the evening azaan begins, the entire atmosphere transforms — golden sky, gentle breeze, and the sound of prayers rising together. It’s not just a monument… it’s an emotion. Taj-ul-Masajid isn’t a place you just visit; it’s a place you feel. ---

That's wonderful! Visiting Taj-ul-Masajid on Eid-ul-Adha for Namaz is truly special. The atmosphere there during Eid is incredibly serene and spiritually uplifting. The Taj-ul-Masajid stands as the magnificent epitome of beauty and legacy in Bhopal. While the city's deep history encompasses centuries—from General Bhupal and Rani Kamlapati to Dost Mohammad Khan—this mosque is the crowning jewel of its more recent past. Its dramatic construction story, marked by halting periods and a phenomenal resumption, only adds to its legendary status. Today, the Taj-ul-Masajid is the enduring identity of Bhopal, radiating peace, beauty, and harmony for all who visit.

It shows how tribal community is living in different type of houses, how they draw painting, how they celebrate their functions and how they play games. Museum has large galleries which are beautifully designed to give a real life showcase. One must have minimum 3 to 4 hours to fully explore the museum, there are also cultural shows by tribal community on specific times and date. There is also a good cafeteria there which serves food at very reasonable prices.

Unique, planned & pragmetic approach process can be seen here. Every visitor or Bhopal and nearby area must visit here. Much more awareness is indicated here about tribal community including wonderful combination of art and views.

History Museums
Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) is a captivating anthropology museum that creatively showcases India's diverse tribal cultural heritage. The museum features sprawling indoor and outdoor exhibits, including vibrant everyday artifacts from different communities and recreated village clusters for immersive experiences. Through multimedia interfaces, visitors can explore the symbiotic relationships between indigenous tribal groups, their artistic handicrafts, and eco-centric lifestyles spanning millennia.
The place has tribal representations from all across India. The main highlights are the tribal houses built outdoors and traditional technology. It's wonderful and comprehensive in all ways. You will need an entire day to actually have a look at this place.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Living Tribute to India's Rich Heritage — An Unforgettable Experience! Indira Gandhi Manav Sangrahalaya (Museum of Mankind) in Bhopal is truly one of the most unique and enriching museums I have ever visited. Spread across a vast, scenic campus on Shyamla Hills, overlooking the beautiful Upper Lake, this museum isn’t just a collection of artifacts — it’s a celebration of India’s incredible tribal, rural, and cultural diversity. What sets this museum apart is its open-air layout. You don’t just see history in glass cases — you walk through it. Life-size tribal huts, traditional dwellings, agricultural setups, and village scenes from different states and communities across India have been recreated with amazing authenticity. Each corner of the museum tells a story — from the art and rituals to the lifestyle and survival methods of our indigenous communities. The indoor galleries are just as impressive, showcasing rare photographs, folk art, musical instruments, ornaments, masks, and even spiritual beliefs of different tribes. Everything is well-labeled and explained in both Hindi and English, making it easy to understand and connect with. It’s not just educational — it’s a peaceful, soul-touching journey through India’s roots. Walking through the lush green paths, hearing the birds, and soaking in the tribal wisdom makes this place feel sacred. The staff is helpful, the premises are clean and well-maintained, and there’s enough space for families to enjoy without crowds. I highly recommend this museum for students, researchers, history enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone who wants to experience the real India beyond textbooks. Take your time when you visit — you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for India’s cultural richness and the resilience of its people. A true national treasure! 🇮🇳✨

I really enjoyed visiting the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind in Bhopal. It’s a huge place with lots of interesting artifacts that show how different tribes across India live. The best part is the open-air section—full-size tribal houses from all over the country, from the remote Northeast to the deserts of Rajasthan. Walking through these huts and seeing their unique designs feels like a mini trip across India. The museum is calm, spacious, and very well maintained. Nothing feels rushed—you can take your time, look around, and learn a lot without getting bored. It’s a great spot for anyone curious about culture, history, or just looking for a peaceful and unique place to explore in Bhopal. Overall, a really nice and refreshing experience. Totally worth a visit.

The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) in Bhopal is a captivating anthropological museum, sprawling across 200 acres on Shamla Hills, offering a vivid journey through India’s cultural tapestry. This National Museum of Mankind beautifully showcases human evolution and tribal heritage through its extensive exhibits. The masks collection is a standout, featuring intricate designs from various tribes, reflecting their rituals, beliefs, and artistry. These masks, crafted from materials like wood, feathers, and beads, highlight the socio-cultural significance of tribal traditions, making them a must-see for visitors. The state-wise displays, including those of Manipur and Sikkim, are equally impressive, presenting authentic dwellings, artifacts, and traditional crafts that capture the unique lifestyles and cultural diversity of these regions. The open-air exhibitions, like the Tribal Habitat and Himalayan Village, immerse visitors in vibrant reconstructions of indigenous life. Despite its educational value, the museum could improve amenities like accessibility and signage. With its serene ambiance and rich collections, IGRMS is a treasure for history enthusiasts and families, offering an enlightening experience of India’s cultural heritage.

Park
Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh is a renowned destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Situated near the Upper Lake and Shymala Hills, it offers a picturesque landscape with diverse flora and fauna. The park follows strict standards set by the Central Zoo Authority to preserve animals in environments similar to their natural habitats. Visitors can witness tigers, lions, bears, and other wild animals roaming freely in this urban jungle.
A Refreshing Day Amidst Nature We visited Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal by car, and it was a truly refreshing experience. The drive through the park was peaceful, surrounded by greenery and beautiful natural landscapes. We were lucky to spot a variety of wildlife including peacocks, deer, a tiger, lion, bear, crocodiles, snakes, butterflies, and many birds. The enclosures are spacious and designed to resemble the animals’ natural habitats, making the experience feel authentic and immersive. The weather was perfect, adding to the charm of the visit. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the park, soaking in the calm atmosphere, and witnessing the beauty of wildlife up close. A lovely day spent in nature — highly recommended for a peaceful outing!
Anjana H — Google review
Van Vihar National Park is often referred to as a “national park,” but in reality, it feels more like a large open zoo. Many of the animals are kept in enclosures, so don’t expect a completely wild safari experience. The park is set along a single straight road about 10–12 km long, which you can explore in different ways — on foot, by bicycle, bike, or car — with separate entry fees depending on your choice. It’s a very photogenic location, with plenty of spots where the greenery, lake views, and wildlife make for beautiful pictures. The best time to visit is early in the morning when the air is fresh and the crowds are minimal. If you plan to walk the whole route, wear sports shoes and comfortable clothing, as it can be a long stretch. On the other hand, if you’d rather not walk, bringing your own vehicle is a good option to cover the distance comfortably. One thing to keep in mind is that the park is not very shaded, so visiting on hot, sunny days can be tiring. Overall, it’s an “okay” place for a peaceful outing, especially for nature lovers and photographers who enjoy a calm environment without too much rush.

Very well maintained, delightful experience for nature lovers. Great sighting of varied wildlife animals. Unbelievable experience as it is right in the heart of the city. Must visit Van Vihar for a day with nature! Note: Tourists can avail the safari options provided by the Forest Department or register the 2 or 4 wheeler they are using for the safari.

Beautiful place! So green and there is river/lake flowing alongside. It feels surreal. Ticket cost is very less but the experience is amazing! They have a very clean and maintained national park. So spacious and we can find many animals there. The view is just breathtaking. Rare trees are also there, beautiful butterflies, tigers, bears, snakes, rabbits, rare birds, turtles and many more I have seen. They also have a beautiful cafe inside van vihar. They have scenic dining settings. Good options in the menu. I enjoyed a coffee there while gazing at the water below, observing beautiful and soothing ripples of flowing water. Well maintained place. Bikes and cars are allowed inside. Horn is not allowed to keep animals and other creatures at peace. Bicycles and e bikes are available for rent there at a very reasonable cost. Great experience overall.

Must visit tourist attraction of Bhopal. With the lake on one side and animals on the other. There are lot of peacocks 🦚around. Lot of different birds. It’s hard to get the glimpse of tiger 🐯 and leopards 🐆. As their cage are huge. Entry fee for car is 300 rupees. They tell you to not honk while driving. But some dumb people still honk and disturb the animals. So please remember this while you visit next time.
Swapnil K — Google review
Van Vihar National Park is the perfect spot to spend a peaceful morning or evening in Bhopal. Whether you prefer walking, cycling, riding your Scooty, or driving through in your car, the park is designed to accommodate all. On one side, you’re treated to the calm beauty of the Upper Lake, and on the other, lush greenery surrounds you — it’s truly the best of both worlds. The park is a great place to catch a breathtaking sunrise or sunset by the lake. You’ll also come across a variety of animals, birds, and butterflies, making it a serene escape into nature. There’s a charming little café by the lakeside inside the park — a nice place to sit and unwind, though the prices are slightly on the higher side. I’d also recommend renting a cycle from outside (either your own or the electric ones available nearby) for a more enjoyable and comfortable experience as the cycles available inside are mostly partially broken. A must-visit for nature lovers and anyone looking to slow down and take in the beauty of Bhopal.

Visited Rajwada during the daytime — it’s a nice place for a short visit. The architecture reflects Indore’s royal history, and the area around it is quite lively with local shops and food stalls. Good spot to explore if you’re in the city center!

Echoes of Time — Rajwada, Indore By Musafir Nama (@Rana’s Photography) Indore wasn’t just another stop on my official trip — it turned into a walk through history. Before heading back to Delhi, my curiosity led me to the heart of the city — Rajwada Palace, a place where every arch and corridor whispers stories of the Holkar dynasty. As I stepped inside, the air felt different — heavy with heritage, yet peaceful. The long corridors echoed with the footsteps of the past. The stone arches stood tall, as if still guarding the royal memories etched in them. Each turn revealed symmetry, strength, and silence — a reminder of India’s architectural brilliance. Descending the narrow stone staircase felt like entering another era — dimly lit, mysterious, timeless. And when I finally stood in the courtyard, looking at the magnificent façade, I could almost imagine the royal gatherings that once filled this space with life and laughter. Travel isn’t always about distance — sometimes it’s about depth. Rajwada reminded me how every city has a soul, waiting to be heard. 📍 Rajwada Palace, Indore 🎥 Captured on an unplanned detour 📸 @Rana’s Photography ✨ Keep wandering. Keep feeling. — #MusafirNama

Rajwada Palace, Indore – A Grand Portal to the Rich Legacy of the Holkars Visiting Rajwada Palace in Indore is like stepping back in time to an era of royalty, artistry, and cultural grandeur. Built by the Holkar dynasty around 1747 AD under Malhar Rao Holkar, the palace stands as one of Indore’s most iconic landmarks. 🏛️ Architecture & Design The palace is a magnificent seven-storied structure — the lower three floors made of stone and the upper floors crafted in wood. This blend of materials gives it a unique charm while showcasing traditional Maratha, Mughal, and French architectural influences. The grand arched gateway, beautifully carved balconies, jharokhas, and large wooden doors add to its royal aura. 🔥 History & Restoration Rajwada has witnessed multiple fires over centuries, the most severe during the 1984 riots, which damaged many wooden sections. It was lovingly restored in the 2000s under Maharani Usha Devi Holkar, staying true to the original style using traditional materials. The gardens, fountains, and statues of Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar now make the palace surroundings even more inviting. 👀 What to See & Do Inside, the small museum displays royal artefacts, weapons, paintings, and heritage items from the Holkar era. The Darbar Hall and Ganesha Hall sometimes host cultural programs and exhibitions. Outside, the bustling Khajuri Bazaar and local street food stalls bring the old city of Indore to life. ℹ️ Visitor Info & Tips Timings: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (approx.) Entry Fee: Very nominal (around ₹10) Best Time: Morning or evening hours for pleasant weather Carry water, wear comfortable shoes, and plan to explore nearby markets. 💬 Final Thoughts Rajwada Palace is a beautiful blend of history, architecture, and local culture. Its restoration preserves the essence of Indore’s royal heritage. Walking through its gates, you can feel the pride and grandeur of the Holkar dynasty. A must-visit for anyone exploring Indore — whether you love history, architecture, or simply beautiful places.

In the evening, the palace lights up, and the atmosphere becomes even more magical. 🟢 What I Loved: The sense of history and pride that the place carries The peaceful surroundings despite being in the heart of bustling Indore The nearby market adds a lively touch—you can enjoy local snacks after your visit 🔴 Things to Note: Some parts of the palace are under restoration, so access may be limited It’s best to visit with a guide if you want to truly understand the history ✨ Overall: Rajwada Palace isn’t just a monument—it’s an experience of Indore’s soul. Lal Bagh Palace, a lavish 19th-century mansion of the Holkar dynasty, showcases a blend of baroque, rococo, and neoclassical architectural styles. This three-story palace has been transformed into a grand museum featuring Italian and Indian paintings, exquisite chandeliers, and furnishings reflecting early Georgian and late Persian designs. Spanning across 28 hectares of land, it stands as a testament to the opulence and culture of the Maratha kingdom.
Very great palace to know about the Holkars dynasty. The architecture was mix of European and Indian mix. The interiors are very posh and royal, however there were renovations going on in the palace. Once it is complete, I am sure it would be a must visit place in Indore. The entry ticket for adults is Rs. 50 and for kids it is free entry. Ample parking space and good greenery around the palace.
Vishnu C — Google review
My experience was quite good, but to get there you first need to bargain with the auto drivers. They will ask for ₹100, but you should only give them ₹20. They will tell you that the gate charges parking fees, but in reality, the parking is only ₹10. The place is not very far from the gate, so you can also go by walking. As for inside, you won’t find drinking water there, so it’s better to carry your own water bottle. The entry ticket is just ₹20. There isn’t much special inside the palace. However, it’s a nice place for couples—it’s peaceful, surrounded by forest, and you can sit quietly and talk. But if you are going with your family, then you won’t really find it that enjoyable.
RAVI K — Google review
Lal Bagh Palace is one of the most fascinating heritage gems in Indore, and my visit here was an unexpectedly rich experience. The moment you step inside the massive iron gates, imported from London and said to be inspired by those of Buckingham Palace, you instantly feel the grandeur of the Holkar era. The palace was built in phases between 1886 and 1921 by the Holkar rulers, mainly by Tukoji Rao Holkar II and III, and it served as one of their important residences. Knowing that you are walking through the same corridors where the Holkar royal family lived makes the visit even more special. The interiors are the real showstopper. The palace has a strong European architectural influence, especially Italian and French styles. The grand ballroom, with its large Belgian mirrors and ornate decorations, is absolutely breathtaking. One interesting fact I loved learning about is that the ballroom’s floor was designed with springs inside so that it would vibrate with the rhythm of the music during royal dances something truly ahead of its time. Another surprising feature is the European-style elevator, which was installed more than a century ago! Seeing such engineering in a palace of that era is genuinely impressive. The walls, furniture, chandeliers, and artwork, all reflect the luxurious lifestyle of the Holkars. Every room seems to preserve a piece of history. The palace also sits on a beautiful 28-acre estate, and although some areas outside could use better maintenance, the overall charm is still intact. The museum section displays old photographs, royal artifacts, weapons, and personal belongings that give insight into the Holkar dynasty’s cultural legacy. What I personally found most interesting is that Lal Bagh Palace used to host major diplomatic and royal gathering, it wasn’t just a residence but a symbol of Indore’s power, culture, and openness to global influences.
Hemendra D — Google review
This is a grand palace with a lot of European architectural influence. But it has its own pros and cons. Pros: Beautiful architecture and high ceilings (I really like buildings with high ceilings). Massive garden area in the premises. And since Indore doesn’t have a lot to offer, you can visit this to pass time. Cons: It’s under renovation for restoration work. Most of the palace is inaccessible. There is not much to see with what is accessible. If you have visited a lot of museums and palaces, you won’t enjoy it at all. Ticket price is only Rs 20 pp.
A K — Google review
I am disappointed and feeling cheated. The Lalbagh Palace is under renovation but they didn't tell me this before I bought the high priced ticket (400) for foreigners. Only a few ground floor rooms are accessible, other ones are closed. The garden is poorly maintained and littered, the toilet is broken and dirty. When I asked why the renovation wasn't mentioned, they said it is written. Yes, in Hindi. Why they couldn't write that two words: "Under renovation" in English? Waste of money and time. This high entry fees for foreigners, the constant discrimination, will not develop the international tourism.
Eva M — Google review
Lalbagh Palace at Indore was built by the Holkar Dynasty. The Holkars resided in the palace up to 1978. After the demise of Tukojirao Holkar(III), his granddaughter Usha Raje set up a trust to look after the estate. Later, it was brought under the control of State Government. It is a lovely palace to visit and has some beautifully decorated rooms which are very similar in architecture to what you see in Windsor palace. So whenever you are planning a trip to Indore, do visit this iconic Palace, and fall in love with its wonderful architecture. Owing to its real royal feel, Lal Bagh Palace has remained one of the favourite Bollywood shooting location. Many movies like Kalank, Singh Saab the Great and Mahal (Tamil Movie) have been shot in the palace. Date visited : 22.10.2025

Persons from all over India as well as foreign Tourist come to see this temple. Very beautiful temple and famous in Jain's Community.

I recently got a chance to revisit Kaanch Mandir on the auspicious occasion of Dhoop Dashmi, and it was an absolutely divine experience. The temple, made entirely of glass and mirrors, looks stunning on any day but on Dhoop Dashmi, with beautifully crafted Mandal Ji, its beauty and spiritual glow were truly beyond words. The temple is located in the main market area, so I’d recommend visiting by public transport or two-wheeler for convenience, as parking space is limited. If you’re in Indore, this sacred place is a must-visit - the artistry here is truly a masterpiece. – Muskan 🙏

This stunning Kanch Mahal Jain Temple, dedicated to Bhagwan Mahaveer, is a true marvel of artistry and devotion. Every inch of its walls glitters with mirror inlay, glass mosaics, and hand-painted depictions of Jain stories. The intricate craftsmanship reflects both spiritual depth and aesthetic brilliance. Standing inside, surrounded by light and reflection, you feel an aura of peace, divinity, and timeless heritage. A sacred place where devotion meets dazzling design — truly an unforgettable experience.

A beautiful temple which is a must see to admire how beautiful glass work is used to make this. They don't allow photography in to maintain the decorum of the place. They are very strict about it too.

This early 20th-century Jain marvel is an architectural feast, with literally every surface—walls, floor, ceiling, and pillars—covered in intricate glass and mirror mosaics. Step inside, and the reflections create a breathtaking illusion of infinite idols! Be prepared, though: while the artistry is stunning, the place is showing its age and could use better maintenance. Also, don't be surprised if the security staff seems a bit curt. Regardless, this shimmering wonder is a must-see for its truly unique beauty!

This sacred site is dedicated to the Jain religious group and houses an immense statue of Gomateshwara. The place is a replica of the gigantic statue of Bahubali at Shravanabelagola, and it is a must-see for anyone visiting Indore.
Bhagwan Bahubali Digambar Jain Atishay Kshetra, is a group of Jain temples on the outskirts of Indore and a revered pilgrimage. It was inspired by Acharya Shri Vidyanandji, the complex was built in 1986. There are about 29 temples in the complex. This hillock was donated by the MP government,to the Jain samaj, in 1981, located at Gomatgiri, about 11.5 kms from the city of Indore, in the Bharatiya state of Madhya Pradesh. The Murtis of all the 24 Jain Tirthankaras have been enshrined here including a 21-foot Murti of Lord Bahubali. This is yet another example of dedication and artistic craftsmanship. Sights & Landmarks
The School of Engineering and Technology at Vikram University is a government institution dedicated to nurturing aspiring engineers. While it offers a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree, the college primarily provides well-equipped labs for civil engineering students. The faculty members are known for their supportive nature, consistently attending classes and offering guidance for competitive exams like GATE, IELTS, and CAT. Students can also engage in various extracurricular activities such as sports on a national level and participate in NCC or NSS programs.

Infrastructure is good, Library with lots of books are available , computer lab as well as all the labs for every stream with full equipped with new instrument is present . Faculty and college staffs are good in nature, they guide and advice in time of need. College is good for engineering aspirant.
Bhupendra G — Google review
Since the foundation, this college has consistently zero percentage placement record till now. No lab facility. No Events . No hackathons . No celebration. One can easily score higher credits in degree by being a puppet of temporary worthless faculty and support their petty agendas. (Teacher of Mathematics are adept, but core engineering subject teacher will talk politics and ask you to attend class so they can get their Payrolls.) All the excellent reviews are from either faculty member or from some students who still want to get good grades from faculty in mid-sem and practical. In this college, faculty and peon have the same knowledge and standard. Peon too can talk politics and teach the subject by narrating what written in books.
Zavon R — Google review
In context of learning this institute fail the providing tha facility. Politics are attached more day by day It's become downword. Not a single permanent faculty teach here. Students attract the name of University but after joining the course they faced challenges regarding the study. Zero placement and no lab (at all). I repeat no lab !!! (Only theoretical study) takes place here) . 3 stars for office staff & decent teachers (who are temporary) Easy exams, one can get good marks with less study, but you need to have> 80% attendence then you can get good internal and mid sem marks. In the name of engineering .. Students are cheated .. No labs no single labs no placement. No permanent faculties .. No discipline
