A good ride through the forest. But couldn't find a great verity of animals. It depends. You really get a great time with the nature and fresh air. Could spot the footprints of tiger. There is a change in the timings. The safari starts from 6 am to 10 am in the morning and 3 pm to 6 pm in the evening. 60 trips per day. 30 in the morning and 30 trips afternoon. So if you are planning to go on weekends and holidays be sure you reach at the earliest. And. The best time to go for is from November to jan. The climate also too good. Maximum number of people that can travel in a jeep is 7. It starts from 3-4. Costs 2100rs. One guide will accompany you to describe things and helps you to spot the animals.

Better to buy tickets online a day before through keralaecotourism website. There are two slots, one morning 6 and evening at 3. Animal sighting is purely based on your luck but signs of animals can be found there, even tiger marks.

The safari last 1.5 hours, costs rs2250 per jeep, so its affordable. its one single road to enter and exit from the other side, its not like Kabini or Nagarhole which branches out like a combing search safari. We participated in a Sunday evening safari during rainy season at Tholpetty Wildlife sanctuary. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but compared less favorably to the similar offering 20 km away at Nagarhole in Karnataka (see below for details), which we did the next day. For one jeep with 5 people (including a 5 year old child), we paid Rs. 5500, compared to Nagarhole, where the per-person charge was Rs. 1000/adult, 500/child. Pros: No wait. Was able to pay by foreign credit card without a problem. Note to foreign travelers: one passport is required for identification purposes). The tour lasted about two hours. We saw one elephant—a tusker!) deep in the woods and one peacock, but that’s it. Since this was rainy season, wildlife sightings are much rarer. Cons: The safari vehicle used was cramped and very inconducive both to comfort and wildlife viewing as the seats faced inward with very little head clearance and very little window surface area. See photo for comparison to the Nagarhole (Karnataka) safari vehicle. In terms of price, I might be wrong about this, but I believe that one has to rent the entire jeep at a cost of Rs. 5000, which may not be economical for smaller groups. Overall, if you are visiting the Tholpetty area and cannot make the short drive to the Karnataka side of the forest, then this excursion is recommended. I would strongly suggest trying to do so in the dry season to maximize chances of wildlife sightings. If only possible to visit during the rainy season, I would favor the Nagarhole side both for price (pay per head as opposed to per vehicle), vehicle design/comfort and wildlife viewing opportunities.

We haven't seen anything except deer inside the forest. Despite travelling 1.5 hrs through the forest with 4500 INR loss, nothing could be seen. And road was completely offroad (I mean not good for old members)

Visitors need to know: it is essential to purchase tickets at least 12 hours in advance, as they are limited and sell out quickly. The current ticket price is ₹220 per person. Regarding the experience itself, I personally found it not worth the price or the hassle. It is extremely crowded, and the main attraction is simply an island area with a flow of water, not a waterfall or anything significantly unique. It felt like a waste of money for what is offered. We could not enter the island because of entry restrictions. The rafting on the river was a good experience. It was Rs 100 per person for a 20 min ride in the river by bamboo rafts. One can enjoy this ride as well even if you can not enter the island. There are few tea shops and souveneir shops.

Excellent tourist destination in Wayanad. It is a beautiful group of islands joined by the Kuruva river. We are taken on a raft to the main islands. If you walk for about 500 meters you will reach the part of the river where you can have a pleasant bath. The river is cool and shallow. You can spend any amount of time there. It is safe even for small children. However, it is not at all safe to take bath in other parts of the river. The guards warn tourists but some make a clandestine attempt to jump into the river. When we went there for the second time, a guard showed me why we should not take bath in the prohibited areas!

Bad experience at Kuruva Dweep, lost money during visit. Management should improve safety and proper arrangements for visitors.

Good place for walking in the forest and taking bath in river. The boat just crosses from the mainland to Kuruva Island which is would take hardly 5mins. The people around there are friendly and no plastics are allowed inside island. It's a flat land as there is no elevation observed so anyone irrespective of age can go and explore. Only little part of the island is accessible.

Decent spot in Wayanad with nice views from the lake. They have pedal boats, but cycling them is quite tiring and not very smooth. The place is okay, not the best. But still a relaxing break if you're nearby and want to enjoy some quiet time.

Went here without much expectations and there is nothing either, it's just a walk around the lake and if you are interested in some boating you can go here. Also we went during rainy season, there were lot of leeches every one has seen the blood.

Pookode Lake is a calm and refreshing spot. I visited today and loved how peaceful the whole place felt. The walkway around the lake is scenic, the water is clear, and the surrounding greenery makes it perfect for slowing down and just enjoying the moment. It’s a great place to sit by the lake, relax, and take in the view. There are a few activities like boating and small shops around, but the best part for me was simply the quiet atmosphere. Even with people around, it still feels serene. The place is clean and well maintained too. If you are in Wayanad and want some fresh air and a peaceful break, this is an easy recommendation.

A beautiful, picturesque lake that's a perfect spot for families with children. Just be aware that it gets extremely crowded on holidays and weekends, which means a very long wait for boating. We'd highly recommend visiting on a weekday to enjoy it peacefully.

Paying money fornthe park is a waste of since 80% of things in park is broken/not working. But we cannot do peddle boating or kayaking wothout paying to enter to the park which is waste of money. But peddle boating was worth of additional money spent. Great view.

Stopped by Lakkidi View Point and the view honestly took my breath away. The misty hills, winding roads, and cool breeze make it one of the most scenic spots in Wayanad. You can just stand there and watch the clouds drift over the valley it’s pure calm. It’s easy to reach and best visited early morning or around sunset when the view looks magical. A must-visit stop if you’re exploring Wayanad! 🌄✨

It was an amazing experience. Could clealy see the hair pin curve roads, the beautiful mountains, clouds and ofcourse the fresh air. You have to be there by 6 - 6:30am latest to get the most of it and spend an hour around, click pics etc. After that the mountains will be covered by snow (Koda in local language). If you aee staying in a nearby hotel, get up early, go to this place, come back and then have your breakfast n stuff. You won't be able to see anything after 8 - 8:30 am. No entrance fee and have few parkings on one side of the road. Since we reached there early, there were only a few tourists thus got parking very easily.

You can see serpentine ghat roads hidden in lush green hills. Sometimes you can feel and see you are above the cloud. Vehicles 🚜 ply in this ghat roads looks like toys . Parking is a challenge. Be aware of monkeys. This viewpoint is located along a national highway, surrounded by greenery and offering a scenic experience that automobile riders are sure to enjoy! The view becomes absolutely stunning during sunset, making it a must-visit spot. This viewpoint is located right on the last hairpin bend of NH766 and is one of the most beautiful and easily accessible spots in Wayanad. It offers stunning panoramic views of the Western Ghats and breathtaking sunsets. There isn’t any dedicated parking space near the viewpoint. Visitors can park their vehicles near the entrance arch and walk down to the spot. Unfortunately, some people park on the hairpin curve, causing traffic issues on the busy road. The views from here are truly mesmerizing. You can see the lush green valleys below and the majestic Western Ghats stretching into the horizon. If you walk a bit further below to the next curve, you’ll be rewarded with a magical sunset experience. The mist-covered silhouette of the Western Ghats during the evening adds to the charm, making it a must-visit spot! Just before you reach the arch that welcomes you to Wayanad, you have this Lakkidi view point. Most people stop here to enjoy the view. You can see the top view of twists and turns of the ghat road. It’s best to see vehicles driving up at night as small dots of light. There is only a small space by the road side to park the vehicles. So make sure you don’t trouble other vehicles while parking here. Also beware of monkeys who could possibly steal your snacks.

Kabini was absolutely stunning! So scenic and peaceful and the rains just made it all the more magical. Everything felt super calm and refreshing. Honestly, the perfect little nature break!

It's one of the most beautiful places for weekend gateway near Bangalore. Very pretty and peaceful. You even get to see different kinds birds . You can try boating and coracle boat. Karnataka govt has camp site event many private resorts are there on the bank of the river. We saw otter animal which is very rare to find out. It was very serene atmosphere.

Beautiful ride along State highway 33 overseeing Kibana river and its backwaters. Lake is clearly visible from road from various angles. Usually full of clouds, it gives amazing views. Be careful of the rains as there are hardly any shades for long distance. Mornings are usually dry.

This was my first trek in my life i was little nervous but i went with my fellow Hosteller they helped me to trek It was 2kms distance what they said but because of curves of paths it might be 5kms and it took us 1 hour but worth trekking we went in early morning around 5pm gathered and ate Maggie as a breakfast and started the trekking Worth trekking and it was so cool breeze and full of greenary and i drank the mountain water💧which was flowing by side and we went to heart shaped lake again i tasted those water it was cool and very clean most memorable day in my life It was a Misty day, we had a very good experience at this peak,nature is truly amazing.Now they have revised the price,now the price for trekking is 4000 bucks for 5 people. And 800 bucks for an extra person. If you are 1 or 5 you need to pay 4000 bucks. The trek itself is magnificent as we go through lush tea estates and a thick canopy,after passing this we enter a thick shola vegetation.The peak itself is closed to The public as we only get to go to the heart shape lake.special permission is required to go the peak. The forest department has kept the lake and the surroundings clean as there is no sign of plastic. Overall we had a very beautiful and amazing experience.

5 kM up and 5 kM down mountain trekking needs good strength but leaves a permanent great experience in your memory. We can see Elephant foot traces all along the trekking path and lemon grass all over the mountain. Once you reach top of the Chembra peak, you can enjoy great view of other adjacent mountain covered with moving clouds and heart lake.

The trek is around 3Km and visitors are allowed to until heart shaped lake not to chembra peak which is highes point in wayanad due to safety concerns. Only 288 people are allowed per day. Please plan to reach this spot early in morning to get tickets especially on weekends. We reached this spot by 4.30am and got ticket. For a group of 5 people 4000 is the ticket price. Steel water bottles will be provided once you make payment for the ticket. And few shops are down there to have ur small breakfast. The chembra is known for the very famous heart shaped lake on top and breathtaking 360 view and challenging treks.

There’s a little hike which is required to reach this cave, which is on top of a small mountain. It’s a combination of both walkways and steps which leads us there. I wouldn’t consider it as extreme or very difficult. It’s a moderate trick, and I think people of any age group can do it very easily if they’re physically active. View from the top of the mountain is truly amazing, filled with lush greenery. The climb something which might be little challenging because these are the steps made out of rocks. However, the descent from the top of the caves to the bottom. There are metal staircases made by the government and it makes it easier to get down.

However, the parking is not easily identifiable, lots of these for cars are given to the buses. The hike from parking to the cave is moderately challenging, with 5-6 steep slopes. Inside, you can see ancient carvings on the rock walls — human figures, animals, and strange symbols that date back thousands of years. It’s amazing to think that these were made by people from the Stone Age! The atmosphere inside the cave feels calm and mysterious, almost like stepping back in time. Overall, it’s a perfect blend of history, adventure, and nature — a must-visit spot if you’re in Wayanad.

Must visit place for all except elderly and those who are weak to climb up the hills. A large cave uphill after a steep climb via rocks and ladders arranged in between. It is a wonder that how people reached top and made inscriptions in stone age (6000BC). The panoramic view from outside the cave also makes the climb worth.

The trek up the Ambukuthi Hills is moderately challenging, with a mix of rocky paths and scenic greenery all around — but the view as you climb higher keeps you going. Once you reach the top, the cool breeze and panoramic view of the valleys are absolutely stunning.The caves themselves are truly fascinating. Inside, you can see ancient carvings on the rock walls — human figures, animals, and strange symbols that date back thousands of years. It’s amazing to think that these were made by people from the Stone Age! The atmosphere inside the cave feels calm and mysterious, almost like stepping back in time. Overall, it’s a perfect blend of history, adventure, and nature — a must-visit spot if you’re in Wayanad.

Must visit place for all except elderly and those who are weak to climb up the hills. A large cave uphill after a steep climb via rocks and ladders arranged in between. It is a wonder that how people reached top and made inscriptions in stone age (6000BC). The panoramic view from outside the cave also makes the climb worth.

It's a strenuous climb upto the caves,even to the ticket counter. Be prepared with good shoes and not advisable for those already struggling with climbing stairs. There are only stone steps carved out of rocks and no hand rail on the way up. On the way down was easier with steel hand rails and straight steps.

Beautiful place to visit. Waterfall is active throughout the year. However, the flow reduces during March-May. If you are going with elderly people ensure that they can go and return around 2 k.m. Don't carry plastic bottles and food items. You can park your vehicles at the top. They will allow only 500 persons per day. So you can consider to stay nearby areas to cover many other locations around the waterfall. Only upi/ digital transactions are allowed for buying tickets.

I visited this water falls which is like 1km trek to the fall. It is under government and they charge 150 per person. Please mind taking student tickets which is only 50 rs. This trek is somewhat difficult. You should take about 2 hours. It not that worth visiting but if you feel to trek you must visit. Paid parking and local shops available also you have options of some activities near by.

Soochipara Waterfalls in Wayanad is a scenic spot surrounded by lush greenery. The short trek to the falls is a bit challenging but totally worth it. The waterfall is stunning, perfect for nature lovers. Clean, well-maintained, and refreshing experience. Enjoyed the falls. But the tickets are pricey.

We recommend buying tickets online or arriving early. The ticket price is ₹150 per person, and entry is not permitted without a ticket. The waterfalls are open all 365 days, but during the rainy season, only viewing is allowed—entering the waterfalls is not permitted.

Soochipara Waterfalls is soo good with wonderful water flow from the top of hill. Negative part is trekking, to reach this waterfalls we have to walk nearly 1 Kilometre additionally large large steps 🪜 to be used. After reaching Waterfalls it is worthy.

We visited this waterfall based on the suggestion and google review, but this place is a big NO!!! The start entry point is like the tip of the mountain and the waterfall is like at the base of mountain that much walking is to be done, there is lots of walking with slope and climb through the stones path and followed by big steps at the end which is difficult to go on, it cost Rs.150/- pp which is too much for the waterfall, if you are not in mood of walk and trek, this place is to be avoided! The gate closes around 5pm, all the guards are vanished at 5pm, there is no one around if you need any help if you go for the waterfall post 4pm, it took half hour for us to go to the waterfall and return half hour, 1 hour in total which is ascend and descend, as we spent only 5mins near the waterfall, as it was raining muddy water was falling and it was brown color. Do think twice before going for this waterfall, if you are up for a trek with proper shoes and mindset then its good!!

A beautiful wildlife sanctuary with rich biodiversity and serene landscapes. The safari is well-managed, giving a good chance to spot elephants, deer, bison, peacocks, and if lucky, the majestic tiger or leopard. The forest feels untouched and peaceful. A must-visit for nature and wildlife lovers seeking an authentic jungle experience. However, you have to wait for getting tickets as there is only one window and there is always crowd.

Afternoon safari 2.30 pm trip. In matter of 1 & half hrs we got to see the wilderness of Bandipur... Kind of okay...got to see spotted deers, langurs, elephants.... Was hoping for better experience... anyway let's see...

Bandipur Tiger Reserve forest is a lush green thick forest shutter to numerous number of birds and animals. This road leads to Ooty, Tamil Nadu. This natural forest is a treat to watch. WE spotted lot of Deers. If you are lucky you can see Elephants, Peacocks, Tigers also. This forest is a land of lot of tigers. If you want a rich wild life experience Bandipur Tiger Reserve is a perfect getaway. Monsoon Season will be the best time to visit.

Pls pick camper or gypsy don't go for bus safari , they won't take you many places , the moment the bus starts from ticker counter that timings starts which does not make any sense , from ticket counter to safari road it will take 30 mins , so in ( Bus safari )90 mins 30 mins is wasted , better choose to camper or gypsy , mainly to spot tiger you need a sheer luck but however even they wont put any efforts on that.

Better you buy tickets online so you will have separate counter for buying tickets even if you buy online you need to get that from counter with vehicle number and seat number try to reach there 35-40 minutes before

This is a good view point in Gudalur-Ooty road near to Gudalur. The sharp shape of the view point gives it the name Needle point. There’s an entry fee of ₹20, the ticket counter is on the other side across the road. That side has a small snacks shop and a children’s play area. The view point is around 500 meters away from main road, need to walk in a low to moderately steep slope. The walkway is paved mostly making it convenient to reach the top view point. View point gives 360 degree view of the nearby plantations, tea estates, frog hill, Gudalur town and Mudhumali forest. There are few mobile toilets setup but most not functional and remaining are not maintained properly. There are no drinking water stations. Few stone benches put up at the entrance. At the top most point statue of a Nilgiri Tahr (Varayadu) is setup. It’s the state animal of Tamilnadu. There’s a photographer for taking instant photos with nice background during summer season

It was amazing views Located about 8 km before Gudalur on the Ooty–Gudalur road (NH 67). From Ooty it’s roughly 35-40 km, depending on route/traffic. The viewpoint gives 360-degree panoramic views — valleys, tea estates, forests (including Mudumalai), distant hills, etc. If you’re in the Nilgiris / Ooty / Gudalur area, Needle Rock is well worth a stop. It doesn’t demand huge effort, but offers a reward in the form of sweeping natural vistas, fresh air, and serenity. Best times are early morning or in late afternoon. Carry water, wear good shoes, avoid rainy times if you want clear views. Good: 1. Scenic beauty: Many visitors praise the sweeping views, especially during clear skies or when clouds/mist play across the hills. 2. Good spot for photography. It is a rocky ledge from where you will get a good view of the deep valleys down. The road to the peak is nice to walk on. Remember to visit it early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Otherwise the scorching sun will deter you.

Visited with family. Boating was closed due to heavy rain, but the area was clean and well-managed. Tried the toy train—an average to-and-fro ride. Good restaurants, street food options, ample parking, and plenty of food and raincoat shops nearby.

Visited in October 2025, Nice lake, having ample paid parking based on days, on weekend and public holidays there will be a rush. Having lots of entertainment options for children and adults as well like boating, speed boating, pedal boating. There is also toy train for children's. Plenty of food joints.

A very well planned, designed and maintained garden exclusively for Roses... With over 100's of varieties its a feast to our eyes... Kudos to the department officials and the numerous staff members who work tirelessly for the upkeep of this vast area... The garden layout is designed over 4 levels... With well planned layout of variety of rose plants... The staff are courteous... And knowledgeable about the plants, etc... They patiently answer to our queries... Only thing is you should be able to converse in the local language - Tamil. They also have a sles counter... Selling a range of saplings... A definite must visit place... For a calm, serene time... With nature blooming....

I visited the Ooty Rose Garden with a lot of excitement because every time I’ve gone in the past, it was full of colourful roses and truly eye-relaxing views. But this time, I was honestly shocked. There were almost no roses at all, and the entire place looked empty and dull. It felt completely waste to visit. I even asked the workers there, and they said May is the peak season, so that’s why there were no blooms now. Maybe that is true, but still I didn’t expect the garden to look this plain. I went only because of the beautiful memories I had from previous visits, but this time it was very disappointing. I hope they maintain it better throughout the year or at least inform visitors about the off-season, because people travel a long way expecting to see roses.

There may be a traffic near view point on week end we have to wait near 15 mins, but after that we can see the full beauty of the ooty view. We can cover almost full of the area from here. Stunning view is there try to be visit on sunny day otherwise mist may hide the view. Entry fee will be collected at the entry for vehicle and we have to pay 20 rs per head we can pay through UPI also. Many shops available there we can purchase small things. Restroom available here.

This peak offers a complete view of valley.There are snack outlets and even a having parlour.The entry ticket is 10₹. One can even buy sweaters and shawl and even hats. One weekends the place becomes highly crowded

This is a really good view spot in Ooty and a must visit, it is the tallest point in the Nilgiris. The experience was decent, first you are supposed to buy a ticket, but before you get in line for the ticket, you have to enter the market, which had clothes and souvenirs. There are may cameramen present there who will click and print photos on the spot. There is also a watchtower, which you can climb up to get a better view from the Peak. The road leading up to this peak is also scenic, with tall trees.

A few minutes away from Ooty centre, it's worth visiting. At Doddabetta checkpoint, around Rs 50-60 deducted for car entry. Entrance fee is Rs 10. Have to walk a couple of steps to go to the viewing point. There's a small watch tower. There's also a few steps leading down to another viewpoint. Overall, amidst the hills of Ooty and Doddabetta, the views are scenic and serene.

There is no need to concentrate or try to meditate. Just sitting silently for a few minutes is enough to make even those unaware of meditation experience a state of deep meditativeness. To be most receptive to the Dhyanalinga, the best way is to be there as an offering – to make an offering of oneself. Well, big land converted to a religious place having Lor Shiva's statue 🙏 but other than the statue, it is just a place where you can enjoy some food, have shower, and see bullock cart. Lastly a Dome, also called Dhyanlinga where you can sit and meditate. It can also be done at home for people who don't know. Try this, go back home and close your eyes, empty your mind and call upon whoever you worship. God is within you. They have SAVE SOIL slogan and they love animals. There is bullock cart in 50° degrees carrying passengers from one place to the other. I mean we have battery cars and golf cars but they love animals and want them to know that they are loved deeply. Lets make these poor animals carry 9 people at once under the 50° degree sun. Touche! Tradition can be supported with technology too, we don't need to harm animals this way. We could barely walk in the sun and these poor animals were carrying so many people. God forgive these people who are doing this to animals 🙏 BATH FACILITY - We had shower in the morning so we didn't go shower here. I mean it's not elixir otherwise we would have definitely. DHYANLINGA - the road (walk only) leads to dhyanlinga but when its nearly 50° degrees, it makes it difficult to walk barefoot on the UNEVEN and hot surface. They could have put Carpet on the foor covering uneven surface but i guess they were short of funds and also they wanted you to feel the culture. You are going to feel that culture the next day too when your feet hurts. There were old people walking slowly and some of them were pouring water on the floor to walk on that hot surface. It was 3PM and Carpet is a must for people who aren't used to walking on the uneven hot surface. Finally when you reach dhyanlinga, they will force you to sit inside dome and meditate. We recently had an accident and couldn't sit on floot so they forced us to sit on the chair. We didn't want to be rude so we sat for 2 minutes. There was a small baby crying very softly and these CARETAKERS asked the lady to get out pointing finger as if she made a huge mistake. If they can't respect humanity, what good will come of anything they practice in life. We saw that and immediately stood up. 2 of them tried blocking our way. Well, just to be clear, We bow to God only and there was no God here. We are not slaves they need to get this to their heads. We left instantly without responding to them. By the way, the best feeling was when we bought 3 packets of biscuits and made the dog eat. He was very happy and kept coming back to give his love. That was the only good feeling we got. We made sure the dog wasn't hungry anymore and then left back for the hotel. Canteens are everywhere so don't worry if you miss one. There are more on the way. Also phones were not allowed but we noticed some of them carrying it quietly with them. The deposit box is safe. They take your photo and phone number. So nothing to worry about.

As the sun sets, the light and sound show transforms the space into something extraordinary — a mesmerizing blend of devotion, art, and technology that narrates the story of Adiyogi and the origins of yoga. We visited in the evening, and watching the lights play over the massive face of Shiva under the night sky was truly divine. It’s a place where spirituality meets serenity. Whether you go for meditation, reflection, or simply to admire the grandeur of the sculpture, Adiyogi leaves you with peace, inspiration, and a memorable sense of connection.

It is a profoundly a world-class spiritual center. The sheer presence of the statue and Dhyanalinga is awe-inspiring. I must commend the facilities management team—the entire campus is kept spotlessly clean, remarkably well-organized, and visitor flow is managed very efficiently. Five stars for the upkeep! ​My only suggestion is at improving visitor convenience: please prioritize online/UPI payment options for local transport services, specifically the battery or bullock cartsused in campus. Implementing cashless payments for these services would greatly enhance the modern visitor experience. ​Highly recommended!

The Adiyogi area of Isha Yoga centre is about a km from parking area. This is a very impressive giant sized statue on a large platform. There is a Shiv Linga in the forecourt area of this statue where visitors can offer Jal abhishek amidst continuous chanting. A good arrangement ! But the walk from parking to the adi Yogi arena can be a challenging one for senior citizens & children during mornings & summer times as it's a wide open area without any trees/shade. So beware of this aspect & go prepared with sunglasses, Caps etc.

Then tirupati is a Hindu, Perumal temple is nearly maintained by a private organization. Located in sirumugai road at a distance of 36 km from Gandhipuram and takes 55 minutes depending on traffic. On the leftside of the road a board is kept by highways tamil nadu in front of the temple. Please, refer the board for entry (there's an error in showing the entrance by Google map). At the entrance itself they collect the cell, camera to maintain the silence at the temple venue. Taking photos on the premises is not allowed. A peaceful, silent and devotional scenario for pleasant prayers. Some factory outlets and small sales counters and tea stall are available. Toilets, urinals and closets are maintained neatly. Good parking space is available. They charge Rs.50 for "laddu", nice. Suggestion to the sales counter : laddu is dry on the outer, please, check it. There's a cow shelter and sells "panjakavyam" @ Rs 100 per liter.

A very calm and cozy private temple with a view of serene nature with a view of pure positivity. Mobile 📱 phones are not allowed inside the temple and there is a safe deposit for the mobile phones. Delicious Laddus for the cost of ₹50 each is available here. Apart from the temple there are lot of dress shops at cheaper price rate. Ample parking space for four wheelers, even to accommodate vans and buses are available. A small eatery, bakery and provision store is located with the temple premises, for the convenience of the devotees.

Not well maintained at all. The ropeway was ok. If you want to go on the dam, tickets are available at park gate which no one told us so we walked all the way and then had to leave since we didn't have tickets. Park is very badly maintained with most of the attractions in a very bad state. Overall, an average visit.

The temple is located in the western ghats, we need to climb above 250steps to see the Muruga, Shivan is on the top above 30 steps. It gives peace of mind while visiting the temples. This place's maintenance was good. They have pure drinking water, daily Ananadnam free tokens is given after 12 PM. The crowd was less at 08 - 10AM & crowded on an auspicious day. Prasadham for devotee's is available. It is one of the famous temple of Lord Murugan . Mostly LESS crowded all the time. The temple is very pleasing at hill top vibes. The car parking is available at Ground. There are one shop nearby outside the temple entrance. It is a must visit one for everyone and you will get blessings. Public transport is not much available. Patience plays the vital role of worshiping any temple unless you're blessed .There is no ticket. Some more amenities can be arranged.

Beautiful tiny temple at a hill top. You would need to climb close to 200 steps to reach top. From there climb another 30 steps to reach Sivan sannathi which is the top most point. The views from atop is gorgeous and splendid. There's also a huge carpark area.

The place which lifts up your mindset. So far it's clean because of less crowd. Treat your trash right. Be responsible and just co-exist with the birds and animals without creating disturbances.

A must visit temple that perfectly blends spirituality with the beauty of nature. You can either climb the 600+ steps or take the bus service available, but I highly recommend walking, it’s an excellent experience. Once you reach the top, you can truly witness the divine presence of Lord Murugan and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surroundings. If you are visiting Coimbatore, this temple is definitely not to be missed!

Peaceful and well-maintained temple Visited the Murugan Temple in Coimbatore and had a really calming experience. The temple is clean, well-organized, and has a serene atmosphere. The architecture is beautiful and the surroundings are quiet, making it a nice place to sit and reflect. The darshan was smooth and the staff were helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a spiritual break.

We will visit here atleast once in a month. You will find peace here. Situated in the hills, if you plan to visit the temple , and if you plan use the steps , you need to reach there before 5pm. Steps are closed after 5pm on all days due to elephants and chetah movement. Two wheelers or four wheelers are not allowed after 7 pm during weekdays and after 5 pm during weekends as well as festival seasons. Four wheelers are not allowed after 5 pm on any day. They have there own small buses carrying from hill bottom to top. But they too stop after 7 pm. Temple closes around 8 to 8.30 pm after Pooja's.

This temple is around 25 kilometres from Coimbatore, the entry fee to hill for car is 30 Rs. This place having limited car parking near the temple, so sometimes becomes difficult to get car parking here. There is a toilet facility there, the cleanliness is average. You have to climb few steps around 100 to reach the temple, there are two line for darshana one general darshana line and second one is special darshana line, the charges for special Darshana is 50 Rs. Per person. The temple situated at the foothills and surrounded by hills, it's a very spiritual experience to visit this temple. From the temple you can see bird view of Coimbatore city.

We visited the temple on a Friday. On that day, cars were not allowed to go up the hill due to the Krithigai festival, but vehicles with political flags were still permitted. If you are a common devotee, you’ll have to wait longer and face some struggle to get a darshan. Temple buses are available to take devotees up the hill near the temple, but you still need to climb a few steps to reach the main shrine. Senior citizens, patients, and differently-abled people find it difficult to manage this climb. Otherwise, the temple is clean and well-maintained, and some development work is in progress. It would be good if the Government or HR&CE department could improve facilities to help senior citizens and differently-abled devotees reach the temple more easily.

Went to this temple during my first visit to Coimbatore. This temple is located 15km from the main city of Coimbatore. The temple is at the base of the hills of western ghats. It is said to be over a 1000yrs old temple with visitors coming from all over India. I went on Friday evening, the experience of going to the temple was not pleasant as we had to wait at the foothills for more than 1 hrs just to go to the top of the hill. There are people manning the entrance of foothill with security. The stop vehicle movement and charge 20rs for parking. The foothills to the entrance closes at 7pm, even local bus service to the top closes at 7pm. Once you go to the hilltop, Darshan is available until 8:30pm. The place has not developed much. Lots of inconvenience for visitors. No proper parking, lack of basic amenities like public toilet, drinking water etc. Very limited shops near the temple. The only good thing is having darshan of Lord Murugan. We were lucky to see Abhishekam of Muruga as well at 8pm. Apart from that the place doesn't give a good temple atmosphere or a serene experience. Govt must take up the task of developing the place at foothills with hotels and shops for visitors. May be due to forest area and western ghats they might have restricted the development activities also. There are elephant movement at stairways when going towards the hilltop. Brookefields Mall is one of the best places to hang out and shop in Coimbatore. The mall is less crowded, which makes it a comfortable and relaxing place to spend time without the usual rush. It’s clean, well-maintained, and has a nice mix of stores for shopping, dining, and entertainment. We had a really nice time shopping here — there are plenty of good brand outlets and options for all kinds of shoppers. After shopping, we tried some fried chicken, which was delicious, and then headed to play VR games, which was super fun! The entertainment section has a few interesting activities that make the visit even more enjoyable. The food court also has a great variety of options, so you can grab anything from quick snacks to full meals depending on your mood. The overall ambiance of the mall is modern, spacious, and well-organized. Brookfield Mall is one of the best shopping destinations in Coimbatore. It has a wide range of branded stores, a great food court with plenty of options, and a clean, well-maintained environment. The multiplex is also very good for watching movies with friends and family. Parking is spacious and organized. Visited this temple during our coimbatore visit, this temple was suggested by Anandas hotel manager. The temple is located 12-15kms from coimbatore city. The Vinayagar idol is about 6ft tall and looks magnificent. The entire temple gives you a Devine feeling. There is a small garden and a marriage area inside the temple. Parking is available for 3 to 4 cars, there are shops to buy pooja items as well. this temple is located under the flyover and has continuous vehicle movement. This temple is special because many new bike or car buyers get their pooja done here. Many devotees also perform dristi removal ritual with coconut here. Nice place to add to your coimbatore list.

Located about half an hour’s drive from Coimbatore, Eachanari Vinayagar Temple is one of the oldest temples in the area, dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple is known for its large, 6-foot idol of Lord Vinayagar. The Dravidian-style architecture, with its intricate carvings, adds to the temple’s charm. The temple is open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM (straight - no break), and there are regular poojas throughout the day. According to legend, the idol was originally being taken to the Pateeswarar Temple in Perur from Madhurai, but the cart broke down near Eachanari. The idol became embedded in the soil, which devotees interpret as a divine sign, leading to the construction of the temple around it. The temple has undergone several significant updates over the years, with the first Kumbabhishekam held in 1977, and photographs from the ceremony are displayed at the temple. How to reach: • By car/taxi: It is about 12 km from Coimbatore city and takes roughly 30 minutes. (I was driving from Kerala via NH544 and NH968 to reach the temple) Note that the temple is located right by the roadside under a flyover, so parking can be challenging. • Public transport: Buses and taxis are available from Coimbatore, which is often more convenient due to traffic and limited parking.

This is the biggest Ganesha temple in Kongu region and a very old one as well. Located in a village some 5/6 kms from Ukkadam, this has both inner/outer prakarams, a function hall & parking area etc. Like the temple, the moolasthan moorthi is also large sized prominent deity. The entire temple complex is spacious and well-organized, with good crowd management even on weekends. The darshan feels very divine, and the pradakshina path around the temple is calming. The temple is clean, and facilities like drinking water and resting areas are maintained well. Best to visit early morning or evening for a more peaceful experience. A truly sacred and must-visit temple. Divine time to visit is during full moon days and suggested to visit early morning. Be carefull of your belongings and pickpockets. Enough restaurants, drinking water, wahsroom facilities are available throuvh out Girivalam path. Auto facility available for Girivalam.

Very peaceful and divine place. Arunachaleswarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai is truly powerful — Lord Shiva’s presence can be felt everywhere. The temple is well maintained, clean, and beautifully built. The Girivalam (Giripradakshina) around the holy Arunachala hill is around 14 km — a wonderful spiritual walk filled with devotion and positive energy. Best time is early morning or full moon days. Arunachaleshwara Temple has impressive scale and architecture, spiritual significance as one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalam (Agni or fire), and the importance of the Girivalam (circumambulation of the Annamalai hill). It has a powerful, spiritual atmosphere, noting that the temple can be very crowded, especially during festivals or special events like Karthigai Deepam or full moon days., but also that early morning visits offer a more serene experience. Commonly mentioned engineering marvels of the temple, such as the massive stone construction and the mysterious shadow of the vimana and the spiritual energy of the place. You can pre-book just before 2-3 hours for darshan and can be booked both online and offline to avoid the long queues for darshan. Puja items are sold around the temple area.

Visited on week end. Too much crowded. Took around 5 hours to take the darshan. Finding car parking was difficult. Finally could able to park with the help of a auto drive around 800 meters away from Raja gopuram basically it's one of the entrance. Parking fee was Rs 80. I am not sure if this parking was really run by temple authority because it dint look so. Better to take Rs 50 entrance ticket to save some time. I was not aware that there is such facility. After the darshan we can buy sweet pongal and pulihogre for Rs. 10 each. Temple also sells laddus and other items priced Rs. 50 each.

Visited here during Pournami and did the Giripradakshina at night, starting around 12 AM and completing it by 6 AM. The crowd was massive, so after finishing the walk we took some rest in the morning as darshan was difficult due to the rush. Later in the afternoon, around 2 PM, we went for darshan and were able to complete it in just 30 minutes. The experience was peaceful and truly blissful — we really loved the place. Arulmigu Annamalaiyar (Arunachaleswarar) Temple in Tiruvannamalai is a major South Indian Shiva temple located at the foot of the sacred Arunachala Hill. Built by the early Cholas in the 9th century and expanded by later dynasties, it stands as a grand example of Dravidian architecture with many gopurams, mandapams, shrines, and temple tanks. The temple’s spiritual significance is highlighted in texts like Arunachala Puranam and Tiruppugazh, and Lord Shiva is believed to have manifested here as a self-born lingam under a magizha tree. Many saints, including Ramana Maharshi and Seshadri Swamigal, attained samadhi here. I visited today along with my friend, and the darshan was amazing. We spent nearly an hour in the temple after the darshan, and it filled us with a lot of positive energy. Please note: On Pradosham and auspicious days, the temple becomes highly crowded, and waiting time for darshan can range from 3 to more than 6 hours. Parking is also difficult, and you may have to park far from the temple and walk or take auto. If visiting with senior citizens, plan accordingly. Buying special dharshan ticket for Rs 50/- will help.. To avoid crowds, visit on non-festival days, non-auspicious days, and weekdays.
