Amazing museum. Lots of armour, small arms and more. If you're interested in military or history then definatly worth visiting. Displays are not behind ropes or fences - you can get right up close and even inside some. The staff are super knowledgable and friendly, they definatly know their stuff and are great to have a chat with. If you have kids they'll love the fact you can get inside of tanks, can pick up and get a feel for the small arms (and happily cycle the action of a bolt-action) and play around with the telegraph/morse keys (Di-Di-Dit Dah-Dah-Dah Di-Di-Dit). If you don't have kids (like myself) - you get to do that all yourself instead! There's a cafe on site which has good food and coffee I feel there could've been a tad more information about some of the displays (don't think I saw anything about the engineering vehicles or the gate guards, or if there was I didn't see it)

Where do I start, it was the most unbelievable day of my life. The variety of the tank collection was awesome. Having a tour ride in the BV206 was incredible. The staff were friendly and happy to help. Stephen with his insane amount of knowledge was amazing and giving time to answer any questions we had. On my visit today we got to see the FV601 start up. It made the experience even better. Ticket prices were decent, easy parking and easy to find. I will definitely visit again for one of the event. I appreciate the hand shake and your kindness Stephen. Top guy👊

We visited this museum as it hosted Armourfest - so the review and pictures are primarily in relation to being at the museum for that. We had been down to Tankfest, and this is considerably smaller - but actually in some ways a bit nicer! You felt a bit more part of it all as it was a tad less crowded, a lot less trade stalls etc. We got there shortly after opening and was there right up till the last events - which included us having a ride in the BV! I thought it was all very well organised and we enjoyed the displays - could have done with a bit more commentary at times perhaps, but we pretty much kept busy all day. If you are driving over then the car park is a short journey away so be mindful of this with small kids or if your carrying round loads of chairs etc. (You might be better off dropping off and then parking car!) A great day and look forward to going again at some point!

Amazing experience and a real pleasure to speak to the guys maintaining/building this museum to what it is today. If you ever get chance to visit, please do you won’t regret it!

An excellent museum in which you can get hand on with the exabits. Three or four vehicles that you can actually get in including a replica WW1 tank and a more modern main battle tank. Nice little café with good coffee & excellent cake.

I am sorry, but it was a bit disappointing. There were like 4 tanks in the main hangar, sorry ONLY hangar, 4 RUSTY behind it and 3 outside the main hangar and the radio room. And a room with weapons. I spent there about an hour and that's it. The only highlight is they let you get in one of the turrets. While Bovington is more expensive, it's MASSIVE and well worth it's price. I spent ALL DAY in Bressingham steam museum for £17 RIDES INCLUDED. and i was happier than here with a handful of tanks. And Muckleburgh museum in Sheringham is much better. £14 but offers WAY MORE. Not just 50% more.

Went for a Home Ed day and found a gorgeous hidden gem - loads to see and do, very hands on, rides in various tanks (we had a bumpy trip around the track in the trailer of the Hagglunds BV 206), great nostalgia & history, morse code, Anderson shelter, medals & maps, rifles & landmines, just a fabulous little place and perfect size for an afternoon out. All staff very knowledgeable & can answer lots of questions!

After driving 2 and half hours we were refused entry as we did not have a child with us. 3 adults aged 85 65 and 40 due to child safety, which we fully understood but felt we were no threat. Spoke with a very nice manager who allowed entry. Has a great afternoon looking at the dinosaurs which we last saw many years ago. So nice to see so many originals and a few new ones.

Fantastic day out,thoroughly recommend! There is just so much to do here so be prepared for a full day out until you're all super tired! *Go kart - a bit of a queue here. Such a shame they don't provision 'queue jump' for kids with special needs who may not be able to wait in the line for so long. Something they should think about as everything else in this park is well thought through. *Maze is great fun *Prehistoric trail is so well done and the dinosaurs are well kept,with some of them moving and making sounds *The adventure tree top walk is amazing and a super hit with the kids,although they must be high enough to do this one *Food drinks and ice cream are affordable and not a rip-off Farm and other animals are also on the premises,with petting sessions. Just lovely *Rain or sun,this place is amazing,with indoor play area with big slides which the kids love *Toilets were clean throughout the day,with nappy changing area which looked solid *Kids are engaged throughout and looking forward to explore the whole park as given cards at the start which they need to stamp (there are stamp stations throughout the park) to then receive a reward at the end (a pin badge) which can be collected at the gift shop *Crazy golf small (only 8 wholes) but really well made and super fun *Gift shop has some great bits,which again,well and reasonably priced *Splash park open during summer and they even had a foam event which was a great addition *Shows are held here with Dippy and friend characters - such a shame about this one as the show was really poor,not engaging or fun for the kids. They need to rethink their story lines to make it more interesting for kids. This was a let down given the park is absolutely amazing. Overall our experience was fabulous and although this was our second time visiting this park, we will definitely come again!

Fabulous place to take your children for the day! Plan for the shows and the water/splash park as they can get busy. The Raptor rope course was excellent,indoor play area was great, slides were perfect for tiring out the little ones! Lots to see including massive dinosaurs 😁👍🏻

We just got home from ROARR and I have to say we thought it was excellent! For a warm sunny day in August, we were pleasantly surprised that we didn’t have to queue for anything! There is so much to do, our kids loved it (4 and 8yrs). Best part was the splash park! Will definitely be back!

Amazing experience. So many various activities, our little one loved it. Spent most of day there. We are completely knackered, but so worth it. Lovely memories made just before back to school 🏫 🙂 🙃

A great day out for young and old. Plenty to do to fill the day. From walking round the site, stamping your card as you look at the dinosaurs and modern, living animals, to hitting the play areas and very popular splash area(bring some swimwear for the kids), it will be a busy day. The only issues for me, was the T-rex doesn't roar loud enough really, you used to be able to hear it from all around, and the buying all your food and drink on site is expensive, so it might pay to take a pack lunch as well. A great day out.

Absolutely fascinating place. It is wonderful that these facilities have survived to this day and now we can learn more about workhouses and expand our knowledge about British history. We were very lucky to come just before an excursion started. I’m not sure how regular excursions are but I undoubtedly advise you to attend one if you have a chance. Caroline was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and very passionate about this place and its history. There is a cosy welcoming cafe, a good place to relax and recharge before continuing to explore this place. There is a farm you can visit. A children’s playground as well inside the facilities. Tickets are a bit pricey but it is worth a visit.

Great day out, you really need to allow at least half a day to see everything. Loved the village street old store, post office pub and cottage. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the workhouse had engaging exhibits. The farm and tractor ride were informative and great for youngsters (and the young at heart!) We had a fabulous ploughman's lunch in the cafe. The staff were all really friendly and knowledgeable, we really enjoyed our day and highly recommend this place.

So much to see and do. The workhouse was a history lesson in itself and the volunteers were friendly and helpful. There were carriages and steam engines, a small village complete with it's local alehouse, school and chapel. We arrived around lunchtime on Sunday and enjoyed a light lunch before walking around. Unfortunately for us we did not leave enough time to visit the farm but we will arrive earlier next time to fit this in. We will definitely be returning.

This is a fantastic day out. Lots to see, do and learn. The farm is lovely and the people on the farm are super knowledgeable and happy to interact with the kids. The lakeside walk is a must and this is where you will find the 'stamps'. The playground was a big hit and the cafe serves delicious food.

Brilliant!! So much better then we had expected- we spent the whole day here and didn’t even get round to the farm and play area which both looked great ! Every room, except had interactive bits - the children had a truly enjoyable day - we joined in with crafts in the chapel, dressed up all over the place and learnt so much. I would highly recommend this place to families. Lots of places to sit and eat a picnic or there is a little cafe. Staff were brilliant really friendly and helpfully.

Informative text and multimedia accompanying interesting historic artefacts in the museum. Good value cafe. Very friendly staff and lovely little farm with young piglets when I went! Succeeds in conveying what rural Norfolk life was like in the 19th century.

What a great day out, we took our older mothers and they loved it! It covers the history of the workhouse over time but also social history with recreated rooms and cottages over the ages. The cafe was excellent, great quiche and fabulously friendly staff. All of the staff were amazing, offering us motor scooters for our mum's to use to get to the farm. Thank you so much.

This is such a beautiful place. Highly recommend to go. It has amazing birds both caged and wildlife. We did the tour around the area which so great as we learn lot about the park and history. The ducks are so beautiful, healthy and very friendly. Make sure you always buy bird feed for water and land. Playground area is amazing my daughter enjoy so much she didn't want to leave, there is also a indoor play area. We had food at cafe very friendly staff and helpful and there is two sections of building if want to inside as outside we had annoying wasps!!! At cafe you order your food and give you buzzer which will go off but they will come to you with food. We definitely come back again as we enjoy the atmosphere of the place

Great place to spend a good amount of time enjoying wildlife and gardens. The Flamingos and Cranes or particular interest. Plenty for little ones to do with a quality outdoor and indoor play area. Not the cheapest location but delivers value as you can easily spend several hours there.

We went with friends and I was really surprised and amazing this place is. The wildlife if are really friendly and allow you to get up close and personal with them. A great place to go with the family.

Haven’t been here for a few years, but it’s really a nice place to go as long as you’re not scared of birds. Tickets are pricey but it’s worth it if you spend a decent amount of time there. Otherwise it’s an expensive duck feeding day out - and you have to pay extra for the food! Human Food is reasonably priced and good, not rip off prices as some attractions choose to charge. The Hoot House play area is very good - our 7 and 9 year olds ran around for an hour. Two negatives hence the 4 stars - it would be nice if the floor in hoot house was cleaned - it was filthy - and the upstairs cafe area didn’t look like tables/chairs/glass panels had been cleaned recently - coffee stains and food over our table. Have glass panels and children there though and you are Going to get smears and licks! Also, the poo trail was badly labelled and signposted - felt a bit hit and miss and not really engaging. But otherwise a really nice place to go for children to burn off energy and find out about birds of all sorts.

Great to enjoy nature, feed the birds, lovely gardens with sculpture trail. The kids also loved the indoor and outdoor play areas and the barefoot walk.

This place 😍 fab hidden gem absolutely fab for a quiet picnic, lovely stroll and seeing some nature. We told binoculars and a field scope and was amazing, just what we needed to reset ourselves... No cafe there but you can get a cuppa. Definitely go back soon as can was lovely. Met some fab people and the lady in the reception hut was great nice and friendly and knowledgeable x

Amazing summer's day visit in July 2025. Staff so welcoming. We enjoyed a 7 hour wander around the extensive site, experiencing a variety of habitats. Very fortunate to see kingfishers multiple times and for prolonged periods. Also saw marsh harriers, egrets, plenty of waterbirds. We took a picnic and ate it on a bench in the flower meadow. Visitor Centre had some lovely items to purchase but we didn't get back there before closing, sadly. We will try to return to shop and support them. Very good accessibility at this site, all paths were either boardwalks or gravel. All hides accessible by ramps, no stairs. Some hides had a wheelchair ramp at the viewing windows to aid visibility. A well planned and supported site that provides a great day out. Clean, smart, well equipped - deserves our / your support

Well kept reserve, with good paths or boardwalks to all areas. Nice hides, well managed. Lots of bird feeders ensure you will always see something, but very quiet away from these.

Lovely place visit. Although it's rained, it lovely place to spot with many different bird species and great view barn owls in their nest boxes

What a fantastic place, all of the paths are either well maintained gravel or wooden boardwalks, with signposts at all junctions giving the distance to the next hide or viewing area and time to walk to them. The hides are superb, very well done out inside and most have pull up - pull down windows, good seating is provided. When I went on the Friday before the August bank holiday it was quite overcast but I needed to stop on my way home from a week away, this place provided the perfect place to unwind and take a relaxing stroll, popping into the various hides with the binoculars and camera in case anything came in view. I saw a few muntjac deer, a red kite, a few buzzard, robins, black caps, lizard's, dragon flies and so much more, unfortunately no kingfisher, but a young lady had seen it prior to chatting. The suggested donation was £10 and personally I would have paid double. Well worth a visit if you find yourself in the area. The nice lady in the shop was very informative and passed on where certain birds had been sighted and she gave me a copy of the map to take with me.

Love the trails. Lots of quiet woodland and marshy areas with native planting. We saw a wide range of passerines and also hunting Kingfisher and Kestrel. Staff and volunteers all helpful. Tawny owl in nest box a bonus.

A wonderful, calming place to wander around. We came here with four young children and they were very interested to look for birds as we walked around. The staff were so helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and tell us what to look for and where.

Beautiful, peaceful gardens. Lovely place to take visiting family and my 7 yr old daughter enjoyed picnicking with the pandas (!) and bird spotting, as well as galloping about on the hobby horse provided and visiting the craft fair which happened to be there. Cafe doesn't have the greatest range but does offer refreshments which are very welcome (don't expect a latte or cappuccino though!) We were lucky enough to spot a kingfisher while there too!

Very beautiful place with good parking. The scented garden was amazing. Take deep breaths in there it's amazing. Beautiful insects and flowers and foliage everywhere. The water is so peaceful. If I didn't have kids with me I could have stayed all day and reached a zen level of inner peace.

A very tranquil and relaxing garden to explore! The garden is surrounded by water with numerous bridges to cross. The spring blossoms were pretty! It’s dog friendly! There’s a tea room offering hot drinks/light refreshments.

I love this garden and keep coming back to its tranquility and spirit. The waterways, the beautiful borders, the nature trail across the stream, the abundant insect and bird life: this is a place to slow down and succumb to the presence of nature. Maintained as a labour of love, that love infuses the place and will touch you if you are quiet enough to let it.

Wonderful place to visit, peaceful and tranquil, fabulous walks. Little cafe with good choice of menue. There are plenty of seats to sit and enjoy being in nature. Would recommend to others.

What a wonderful place to visit. The natural gardens are so obviously lovingly tended by the owner and a couple of gardeners and all are happy to talk about how the gardens came about etc. You can visit all year round but the coffee shop is closed in the winter months but there are toilets open. At £7.50 each, entry is a bargain. Mostly paths or grass to walk on although nature trail might need boots . This is just an oasis of tranquility. If I lived closer I would love to re-visit at different times of the year. Not much local signage to it but its on the road through the village just at the end of the village not far from pub on the same side as the church

Absolutely beautiful place! A real surprise and far more extensive than expected. This could easily be a two hour trip and for the price that is fairly reasonable. There is more than enough parking, toilets on site and a tea room which serves hot and cold snacks and drinks. There is a real range of nature here to see and enjoy. Lots of the plants are labelled with plaques to show what they are, but it’s nice to wander around and enjoy. We saw people with canes, in wheelchairs and they were able to enjoy the gardens as there are either paths or short grass around most of the site. There are also bird-watching hides to sit inside (though some people don’t know when to keep quiet!). Lots to see and do and a really lovely treat.

This is a very big estate and has lots for people to see and do depending on budget too, The car part is drive in pay on exit we paid £10 for the day. The outer ground are then free to walk around and there is a very nice kids play park. We used the restaurant and this was very nice and felt posh which i liked as after all you are on Royal ground now. The food was very good and the service was good too i would recommend. We paid the extra to go into the Gardens and House which for two adults and one child was £54. The Gardens are well looked after and worth a walk around the stables host a cafe were we did partake in a coffee and cake stop. The views of the house are very good and looks very nice. The House we did the tour which was shorter then expected as its a big house but we did not see it all, its a walk thought tour with people in each room telling you about each one or you can get an audio head set at £5. The rooms are as expect posh its ice to see where the king and our past queen spend and spent Christmas together and the dining room were they have Christmas dinner. The house has a lot to see and seams to have a Asian theme to it. Sadly you are not able to take photos or video inside which is a shame. It was well worth a visit.

A fabulous few hours spent here, a full day is definitely recommended. We saw a few rooms in the house, no photos allowed which was a shame as we couldn't even purchase postcards of the inside of the house at the shop. A wonderful jade collection and outstanding decor. Stunning gardens. Interesting Fire Engine museum and a collection of Royal cars through the ages. Some lovely staff who were more than happy to give you information, a couple of rather curt members too.

Visited for my birthday and had a great time. The house and grounds have a lot to explore and can easily spend the whole day there. Would advise prebooking car parking to save the hassle on the day and the shop has plenty of things available

Lovely park and castle. Really friendly and helpful staff. The tour of the castle is quite short - but still lots to see and the staff are more than willing to share stories about what are in the rooms. Only down side is that the cafe in the stables has quite a small assortment and price vs quality is also not the best.

Divine place to visit. The cream tea is a must, superb, the best we have had. Outstanding staff with a passion for the estate and devotion to their majesties. We travelled from Bristol for this visit, so worth the travelling time. Do pay the extra to visit all areas. The church has so many family personal touch remembrances. The staff actually make the estate a 5 star visit, extremely knowledgeable, so friendly and approachable. Everyone genuinely seemed so happy and helpful.

Lovely garden and estate, lots to see and to spend the day relaxing in good company or to meditate alone. The price to see the grounds is £17 and a bit more if you wanna see inside the palace. The stable has a nice café with cakes and a variety of drinks at a reasonable price. Really enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful day here wandering the gardens, which are fabulous to walk around at any pace. They are very large with lots of paths to wander and you dont have to stick to paths but can roam around pretty much as you like. Where you're not allowed will be clearly marked. You'll see so much of beautiful nature and great formal gardens. You can grab a snack and drink before entering the gardens, and once within there is a cafe in the stables for a stop and refresh. The gardens are very well maintained and clean. All in all this was a really great day.

Great place for a visit and some lovely walks. There are at least 4 different walking routes you can take all with different distances for all fitness levels. The house is nice, but the viewing experience is quite small. My only small complaint would be that there are not enough bins for your food waste if taking a picnic etc, there were none on the walks we did. There's plenty of parking too

I recommend getting one of the free guided tours. It really brings the history of the place alive. Our tour guide was really good if a little arrogant. Inside is good but not a lot to see but the grounds make up for it. There is a little cafe and an activity for children.

Absolutely wonderful National Trust property with part still inhabited by the family. As with most NT properties it is in beautiful condition. The volunteers in several rooms are extremely knowledgeable and add to the overall experience. Wonderful grounds to wander round add to the appeal. Mention must be made of the cafe. Absolutely first rate. Already looking forward to another visit when we are back on the area.

Our 3rd visit here,all the necessary work to the roof and windows is now completed, they have a small exhibition of articles found during restoration which is interesting, the tearoom is up to normal NT standard, we enjoyed a lovely cream tea! The grounds are lovely and well maintained ,we had a very enjoyable visit 😀

The National Trust have put a lot of work into the restoration of this 500 year-old Catholic family estate. Even on a rainy Friday afternoon in November, NT volunteer guides made us feel very welcome and were very knowledgeable. Particular treasures include embroideries by Mary Queen of Scots when she was in captivity. There's also a well disguised priest hole. To make your visit go smoothly, there's a café for a light lunch too. Well worth a detour to visit this unique estate.

Very smiley and helpful ladies at the entrance. Took my dog round the walks that had some very nice wooden statues on them. Very pretty and well kept estate. Went as a National Trust member so the entry fees where not an issue.

Really enjoyed visiting Oxburgh Estate while visiting the area, joined the walking tour along the outside of the building which lasted approx 1 hour and was well worth it. The guide gave the history of the building and lots of interesting facts on the surrounding area, current owners and more

Great place to go for a long walk walk or a short one if you prefer. We walked around the river and through woods. Very quiet during the week. Dogs are allowed but have to be on a lead. Coffe place available. Lovely day out. Plenty of parking which can be payef with card or via app.

Love the lake walk and view point openings. The geese were friendly and we always enjoy a coffee at the cafe. Cost £12 for three latte's, which was worth it. This is our second time visiting and we always enjoy it, and wait till the end to burn off the last remaining energy at the adventure playground.

Lovely little family day out. Nice play park adjacent. People in the visitors centre are wonderful. Sadly the entire place is overrun with wasps including in the cafe which made it unusable. Absolutely not the centres fault but put a real dampener on the day.

An absolute treasure trove or fascinating Information and artefacts. The museum is only small but holds so many wonders of the ancient landscape that surrounds this fascinating place. The staff are a sheer delight and were almost over generous in the time and passion that they shared with us for the treasures in their care. Stephanie showed us round and took time to discuss the collection in depth and the entire visit was a treat and that is before we even stepped outside in to the village and met Kaj and the other actors, working hard out in the sunshine sharing skills and ancient knowledge with the other guests. The cafe is Clean and spacious and the staff were all cheerful and a pure delight. The food was great and for a light lunch it was a great break in a busy day of historical research in this beautiful corners of Suffolk.

The Dark Ages may have been radically different from the finesse of the Roman era but this site demonstrates how the Anglo Saxons developed and improved their own building techniques. Fascinating and fun moving from one house to the next seeing how things changed but the smell of wood smile stayed the same!! The indoor museum is very well laid out and pitched at a variety of levels to be enjoyed by everyone.

It's wonderful to have a place to discover the stories of the area. Learning about the past can bring a deeper appreciation for the present. The opportunity to learn and connect with history is truly valuable. .

A lovely way to spend a few hours. The exhibition room and museum are surprisingly detailed and informative and set you up perfectly for the reconstructed Anglo-Saxon village, bringing the site to life. I didn't have time to hike the trails, but imagine these would reinforce the feeling of walking through history in the footsteps of our ancestors.

Interesting castle with quite a bit to look around. Fair entry fee. I would say would be improved by having headsets available to borrow for the audio guide which you have to bring your own headphones for and I didn't have any with me.

A decent day out. Be prepared for lots of steps and tight spots - I don't imagine many ruins are accessibility friendly and this is no exception. We got a good sense of the history of the place and it had a lovely atmosphere helped by conveniently placed plaques explaining the function and history of rooms in the castle.

We went to this Castle for one of the reenactment days. Was really interesting and fun. We explored the castle and moat in between hearing all talks on fashion, medicine, games, cooking and food and watching a Mammas play which was very entertaining. A lovely day out in a magnificent setting!

Such an amazingly kept castle! You can really envision what it would have been like. Information boards are scattered around and you can even listen to an audio description. We will definitely go back

We went on a Reenactment weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly, big shout out to Boudicca and the Iceni tribe, and the Roman centurion & artefacts. Medieval musicians & also the field hospital dog! They were some of our favourites. There were demonstrations every hour, which we could watch from the top of the settlement or at eye level. We would have liked a few more involving children throughout the day so they could get involved. Toilets are based in the car park. The moat around the castle is a good run around to let off some steam. The castle itself is well preserved but empty so doesn't take long to look round. Would have liked a board in each room to show what the rooms may have looked like and how they'd be used. The kitchen fireplace for example was fantastic but tricky to explain to my children without images. No food served on site but there is a pub and cafe less than a 5 minute walk down from the site which serve good food for families and child & dog friendly. Would highly recommend a visit when there is a reenactment on. We bought an English Heritage membership (which you must do online as Castle Rising isn't owned by them) as the reenactment cost extra and this got us 50% off. Thank you to everyone who was part of the reenactments, we couldn't get round all of the tents as there was so much on covering a long period of history to cater to every interest!

Had an excellent visit to the site, which had a small visitor shop where you pay for entry, or show your membership card. There were also toilets on site which was good to have. Great place to look round, with multiple rooms and several levels to explore.

A family favourite that keeps getting better! We have been coming to Fantasy Island since 2008 and for me personally since the late 90s. It has become a family tradition and a place that holds so many great memories for us every year. I have seen the park go from strength to strength through the tough years and the big comeback and one thing has always stayed the same, there is always fun to be had here. The staff really are the heart of Fantasy Island. You can tell they genuinely care about people having a good time and that energy rubs off on everyone around them. The ride line up is fantastic with coasters like Odyssey and Millennium giving the big parks a run for their money, but there is also plenty for families and younger ones too. The entertainment venues are brilliant, the atmosphere is always lively, and the whole place just has that great seaside holiday vibe. The market next door adds to the charm and tradition. You can easily spend a few hours wandering around between rides and there is always something going on, especially around the major holidays and events. Fantasy Island might not have the huge price tag of the big name theme parks, but it has just as much heart if not more. For us it is a mix of nostalgia, fun and great memories that keeps us coming back year after year and long may that continue.

I had a great time here. Lots of rides to go on, waits varied between 10-15 minutes. I liked that the rides last longer than 30 seconds like they do at some theme parks. Loads of places to get a drink & something to eat. Tons of markets to look through as well & plenty of toilets available throughout, it varied whether they were clean or not🤢quite a bit of seating but not many areas that were shaded, so not ideal for hot weather. I liked that you can access your photos by scanning your wrist band after the rides, but we did have some trouble accessing them online. It’s a bit of a faff scanning your wrist bands right at the entry of rides, this held queues up sometimes. It was nearly £30 per adult for a wrist band to access all rides, so I thought it was good value for money, especially since rides cost between £5-£8 to get on. Odyssey is a must if you’re an adrenaline seeker, I was shaking so bad after it ended😂 Plenty of parking next to Fantasy Island although it said parking all day was £6 or £2 per hour, & we were charged £8. I’d visit again!

Great thrill rides and rides for children. Arcade always quiet and wristbands relatively cheap. Do not go on Oblivion if you are prone to headaches because it is a bumpy ride. Excellent food options across the park too. Will be going again!

A small bit enjoyable park. Lots of market stalls, which is unusual to see and not expected. But if you're looking for a bargain with tracksuits, garden ornaments and Bluetooth speakers, you're in for a treat. The rides are very good. Odyssey and millennium especially are great rides. If you're near by pop in.

Very pricey but when they have the stalls on it is great to have a look around. Went on a few rides which were all good even when the weather was a bit dull. It is definitely a great day out for family or even if you want to just have a look around the markets are good and have a lot of variety.

Another great day out had by all in Skegness. Queues got a little busy, but from 5pm onwards was quiet had. Aerate time. We met a worker Chelsea she was so nice and fun around the kids. Defo an asset to the company if you ask me. Great rides and entertainment added in the price

Queues were stupidly long, don't save the best till last or you may miss it. Kids had a blast I oaid 21 quid to go on one rude in the end so not ideal but next time I won't need a band

Great day out. Not a bad price for entry but it is getting a little run down. Nice place to see lots of different animals. With staff being friendly and willing to chat about the animals. The facilities were clean and the restaurant was good for a bite to eat.

Nice little Seal rescue centre. Undergoing some improvement to the penguin pool. Needs quite a bit of maintenance as buildings, especially the bird and butterfly houses, looking a bit shabby. Small reptile collection. Very good staff, with informative presentation at feeding time. Would be nice if they could get some sponsorship deals from local companies as not getting any lottery grants.

A lovely place that’s truly worth visiting! I visited with my child and we had a really wonderful time. The seals are absolutely adorable, and the sanctuary plays such an important role — rescuing, caring for, and rehabilitating these beautiful, intelligent animals. The stories shared by the keeper were touching and made us realise how cruel humans can sometimes be. It was emotional but also eye-opening. Feeding the llamas and goats was a great experience for the kids — a fun and meaningful way for them to connect with animals. Places like this deserve recognition and support from the community. They’re doing something truly important. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Not bad value for money, it isn't an all day activity but definitely worth a visit if you love seals 🥺😍 ! Was a lot of maintenance going on at the time which they kindly have reflected on price tickets. General areas such as toilets and the picnic seatings area could do with a good clean. Staff on reception/ticket kiosk really friendly and bubbly. Would recommend a visit for all animal lovers

They gave an amazing speech about all the different seals (the adult and baby seals) and the seals did some tricks. There’s a great food place which unfortunately doesn’t allow dogs but there is an outside seating area which you can take your dogs into. There’s a butterfly sanctuary and a bird sanctuary which is absolutely amazing to go through. Would highly recommend for a nice day out.

Love what they do here for the seals. Some features are being renovated at the moment. But even those that are not could do with a spruce up. We saw about 4 butterflies in the enclosure. Could hardy see the penguins due to the layout of the temporary enclosure. Alpacas were cute. The largest goat we have ever seen too! Toilets are available, well stocked with toilet roll and soap.

Brilliant fun, loads to look at, seal feeding 3 times a day, plus rescue seals, reptile house, birds, butterflies, rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, alpacas, goats, turkeys and an aquarium. What's not to like, had a great time, thoroughly recommended and do you bit to support their work.

We visited on Monday 26th May 2025 at around 17:13. As it started to rain, we made our way to the end of the pier. On our way back, we travelled through the arcade. We spent £2 on the duck racing machine and earned plenty of tickets. There is a big soft play area for little kids, and we enjoy our little visit into the pier.

This beachside destination is absolutely wonderful! The view of the sea is breathtaking, especially with the natural sea breeze that makes the atmosphere so refreshing. It’s the kind of place where you can simply relax, enjoy the beauty of nature, and forget all your worries. A perfect spot for anyone looking to spend quality time by the ocean

What a brilliant day out! We visited Skegness Pier on May 31, 2025, and it was a five-star experience from start to finish. My kids absolutely loved it and went on almost every ride they could. The variety of rides kept them entertained for hours, and the smiles on their faces said it all. The pier is also perfect for a full family outing. There were plenty of places to grab snacks and ice cream, which was great for keeping everyone happy and energised. It's so convenient to have toilet facilities readily available too. Finding parking was no problem at all, with a handy pay-and-display car park just a short walk away. This made the whole trip stress-free. Skegness Pier is a fantastic place for family fun and a must-visit if you're in the area!

First time on Skegness pier. Fantastic day with fantastic company. Lots of people enjoying themselves. Lots of music, live entertainment rides and side stalls. Everything you would expect on a pier and the surrounding area. I liked how people have put locks on the rails on the pier as a memory.

A great walk from the seafront into town. The views were fantastic, especially at sunset, and the pier looked absolutely amazing in the evening. Even though it was the end of October a bit chilly and windy it was totally worth braving the cold for the photos and the atmosphere.

We visited as a family. The pier itself is lovely — the views are stunning and definitely one of the highlights of Skegness. Unfortunately, the surrounding area is extremely commercialised: everything flashes, sings, beeps, and is clearly designed to tempt kids into spending money. It’s hard to simply enjoy the atmosphere without being bombarded by noise and distractions. The toilets were honestly awful. The smell was so strong I couldn’t even go in — I literally felt like I was going to be sick, and that almost never happens to me. With so many tourists around, it’s shocking that basic hygiene isn’t better maintained. Also worth noting — the railings along the pier are covered with padlocks, despite there being a dedicated heart-shaped structure meant for this purpose nearby. The locks are damaging the fencing and it just looks messy. It’s disappointing that people don’t respect shared public spaces.

Few too many rides out of order or not running. Still had a good time but lile so many things now... not sure it was worth the money

Visited during the school holidays with our family of four, two adults, a 12-year-old, and a 5-month-old in a pram. We’re big fans of zoos and aquariums, and we thought this would be a great sensory experience for our newborn, which it was. He was fascinated by the movement and colours of the fish, and the tanks were well lit and easy for him to see. That said, I had my reservations when we arrived. From the outside, the building looked quite small, and I suspected we wouldn’t be inside for very long unfortunately, I was right. You could walk around the entire place in 10 minutes if you didn’t stop much. Considering the price, I found it quite steep for the size and variety on offer. While I’ve definitely been to better aquariums, I will say the tanks were clean and the fish appeared healthy and well cared for. The standout is a large showpiece tank, which is lovely, but during school holidays it gets very crowded and that does take away from the experience. Our baby enjoyed it, but our 12-year-old lost interest fairly quickly and was more excited about heading out to play mini golf, which I believe is included in the ticket price. Would I recommend it? Possibly – it’s not bad for a rainy day or a short outing, especially with very young children. But on a warm, sunny day, I think there are better ways to spend your time and money.

If you like fish...brilliant ! It was well laid out, plenty to see. Some quiz activities for children. Cafe upstairs and a children's soft play area which was a great surprise! Big enough for a good play for a 5 year old. The jurassic Park was good for children.

The Dive experience was excellent. All dive instructors gave clear precise training and answered any questions before entering the tank. I absolutely loved it and will definitely recommend it to friends and family. We also spent some time looking around the aquarium which is interesting and educational. Plenty of fun things to do for kids as well.

Lovely aquarium, very clean and tidy, good selection of animals and information to see, would be nice to read some information on the animals that live there i.e. their names, age etc rather than just general breed information. The annual pass is definitely worth it too if you are going to visit more than once. A little highly priced if you are just visiting the once as it is quite small. There is however also a dinosaur trail included in the price with a pretty waterfall which makes the visit longer and interesting. Overall a nice visit and would recommend.

Really excellent hour. As everything is in there, and up close, it was the most fun dive experience since diving with mantas off Labuanbajao 20 years ago. Jamie and Andy were great, walking two complete novices through everything and calming them down, and did me a quick refresher as it’s been a while. Super efficient and great fun. Rays, sharks, large fish… would recommend to all.

Nice little aquarium, plenty of different types of sea creatures. Kids loved it but it is a little dark in there and a bit smaller than I thought it would be. They got a dinosaur land there as well with some moving ones like the T-Rex. There's a cafe upstairs with nice views of Skegness area and a play area for the kids which is no extra charge. Worth it tbf, kills a few hours... Family pass was on offer, £30.00 for 2 adults & 2 kids.

Fantastic place for a family day out, my little boy had so much fun there are lots of interactive things to do. He loved the dinosaur section outside with the sand pit where you could dig for dinosaur bones. There is also a soft play within the aquarium about half way in so you can let the kids have a run around whilst you grab a coffe/ bite to eat. Most importantly they have a great selection of sea life which beautiful to look at and are well looked after.

Called in here while visiting the area and was lucky enough that the Lancaster Bomber was on one of its days/times for making a taxi run out of the hangar……GREAT experience. Ring and check for days/times before you visit. If you are interested in WW2 then there are LOTS of experiences and MASSES of reading…..allow a lot time (all day) if you want the full experience. Basic but cheap and acceptable marquee cafe at present while work is ongoing for the new one.

Great time on bank holiday Monday. Being inside an iconic airplane such as the Lancaster is a lot of people's dreams. I must say it does live up to the dreams and gives you a great insight as to what those young airmen went through. So brave so young, may we never forget.

Over recent years we have taken a liking to visiting war museums, there are many over this East Side of the country, this one was well worth a visit with the Lancaster bomber just one of it's main attractions. Certain days you can pay for a 'taxi' ride down a large field in the bomber You can sit in the gun turrets of choice. All be it a little expensive on this occasion being a pensioner. The experience of taxiing down a run way with a 4 engines running in this iconic world war 2 bomber must be fantastic. We are going to save up and come back for another visit and take this once in a lifetime opportunity. All the money raised is put back into making this Lancaster air worthy. So a great cause to keep this plane alive for the forseable future for all to see. You can see the craftspeople building and manufacturing new sections of plane in the large hangar. For us this was also a great place to visit as it has a Campra motorhome aire in the grounds, we stayed for two nights, safe and peaceful 👍 Check out there website.

Had a brilliant morning here. Came here really for one thing, to see the Lancaster taxi run. Totally amazing to witness this, the noise, the history, the size of the aircraft. What was also impressive was all displays with the information relating to the aircraft and airfields in the local area.

Visiting this was a purely off the cuff last minute decision due to rain, however this place deserves a lot more respect than that. A fascinating, detailed incredible place with some sombering glimpses into our aviation past. Couple that with an unexpectedly delicious breakfast and you have a great half day out. Definitely not one to miss.

If you're interested in ww2 aviation history then this is a must. Lancaster and Mosquito plus various other rescued aero parts with the history to explain why they are there. Unfortunately planes were in hangar at visit so couldn't get decent photos but didn't spoil a great day. There is a cafe on site. Money goes to support work on the aircraft.

A tranquil botanic gem in a busy city! An extraordinary garden of plants with some beautiful tree species. Easily accessed via the Park and Ride there's room to explore, learn or just sit and relax. Add to this a cafe with great coffee and the biggest croissants I've ever seen thanks to Stir Bakery, it's a wonderful day out.

I recently visited the Cambridge University Botanic Garden in the evening, and it was one of the most peaceful experiences I’ve had in the city. The atmosphere was calm, quiet, and perfect for simply being yourself. Unlike many crowded spots, here you can slow down, breathe, and enjoy nature at your own pace. The garden is beautifully maintained with a huge variety of plants and trees from different parts of the world. Each plant is labelled with its scientific name, which makes the walk not only relaxing but also quite educational. I found it fascinating to see species that I would otherwise never come across. Whether you are someone who enjoys botany or just loves greenery, the diversity on display is impressive. What I especially liked about visiting in the evening was how tranquil it felt. The soft light made the colours of the plants stand out, and the paths were quiet enough to just reflect, think, or simply sit in peace. It’s the kind of place where you can take a slow stroll, spend time with yourself, or even bring a book and read under the trees. Overall, a must-visit in Cambridge for anyone who wants to escape the noise of the city and connect with nature.

The Botanical Gardens are always lovely any time of year. They are great value for money and very family friendly as they always have free activities for children and there is no charge for them to enter. Lots of lovely plants and different areas from the greenhouses to winter gardens. Only negative points...the food is very expensive and wasn't particularly good (a very bland salad today...apparently it was supposed to have raisins in...I got one! At £6 a bowl I expected flavour and *gasp* a dressing). The other is parking. Not the gardens fault, but there isn't any. This is particularly difficult for disabled people. You can park for 3 hours but that's very little time to visit given the extra time and effort it takes with a disability. There are NO disabled spaces and the pavement is is dangerous for either a mobility scooter or walking aid users. The Council needs to revaluate this! Also wish they'd keep the shop open till 5pm so you can buy stuff on the way out! They are missing a trick there.

Still worth a visit in Autumn to enjoy all the beautiful colours. Such a relaxing place for a walk. We enjoyed the short guided talk about the Darth Vader plant especially for Halloween too!

This is a magical destination, especially for those who love plants. Despite visiting on a weekday, there was a decent crowd, but it never felt overwhelming. There is so much to see in terms of plant life, and we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a banana tree in bloom. We were also grateful for the fully-stocked cafe, which provided much-needed cool drinks on a warm day.

I had a lovely visit! It was a quiet Monday, and pleasant even with intermittent showers. It’s a good size - not overwhelmingly big (I found Kew too big for one day). The glass houses were a particular highlight but lots of other lovely areas like the herbaceous borders and the scented garden. The Rising Path was informative. I enjoyed a salad and drink for lunch at the cafe, which wasn’t busy. If you buy a ticket, you can leave and come in again on the same day which I did and was handy for me. I’ll definitely come again!

Cambridge University Botanic Garden is a very beautiful place, with an acceptable level of biodiversity. However, considering this is a garden run by one of the world’s top universities, I expected a bit more in terms of rare or unique plant collections. The garden itself is well designed and easy to explore. I found that half a day is enough to fully walk around and enjoy the entire space at a relaxed pace. One small disappointment was the rose garden, which didn’t quite meet expectations. On the positive side, this is a great place for families and kids. There are engaging activities that turn the visit into a fun adventure for younger visitors. For me, the highlight of the garden was the glasshouse. I won’t spoil the experience — you should definitely visit and see the stunning diversity of plants on display there. It is by far the most brilliant part of the garden and highly recommended. Tip: Don’t forget to bring your camera! There is so much beauty to capture, and the garden also runs a photography competition where you can test your skills. For practical details, their official website is very helpful and provides all the information you’ll need for planning your visit.

The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge is truly a gem—and completely free! The building itself is beautiful, with grand galleries and a light-filled central hall. This is a fantastic museum and if you’re interested in art, it would be a reason enough to come to Cambridge, even if you have nothing else while you’re here. There’s a lot of nice impressionist paintings as well as other realist and pointillism from around the same time. As you could see in the photos, the Holdings for armory, Greek, Roman, Egyptian, ceramics are very extensive. I’ve got a big gift shop in a very nice little café on site as well. It’s really nice.

A true oasis of culture and beauty in the heart of Cambridge. Whenever I have a bit of time I like to walk in and get a good dose of inspiration. The museum never disappoints. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. I like the new, more modern display mixing various periods under different themes, it's refreshing. There are always fascinating temporary exhibitions too. The café and gift shop are also excellent. All in all, the Fitzwilliam museum is a must if you have more than several hours in Cambridge.

An outstanding museum in an impressive building! It offers a compact and clearly arranged collection of works of art, priceless historical artefacts, coins and much more. It may seem surprising to someone from Germany, but like many other institutions in England, admission to the Fitzwilliam Museum is free. Culture should not be commercialised and should be accessible to everyone – the UK is absolutely on the right track here. Anyone who is in Cambridge and has not yet visited the Fitzwilliam Museum has really missed out on a significant opportunity!

The Fitzwilliam Museum was much bigger than I expected and definitely worth visiting. There’s a surprisingly large collection of drawings and artworks, and you can easily spend hours exploring without getting bored. I also bought a ticket for the ancient exhibition. It was quite small, but well-curated and genuinely interesting. Overall, a great experience and absolutely worth the trip. I’d recommend it to anyone spending time in Cambridge.

Very nice museum with a lots of different arts displayed from various era and places. If you like arts your place is here when you visiting Cambridge. The entry was free, the staff was polite and helpful all the way. Please make a note turn off your phone flash as it harms the the displayed arts. The staff also will ask you politely. You can take many photos as you want. Very diverse and nice collection. Recommended to visit it. I post pictures from my favourite part the armory.

Excellent museum in Cambridge, with an amazing art gallery and Egyptian, greek&Rome artifacts to name a few. Nice cafe and shop. Highly recommended A+++

Beautiful Cathedral King’s College Chapel is an amazing architectural building of Gothic Art. Probably one of the most iconic landmarks in this city. We highly recommend the visit. It is very unique, but tremendously stunning!

Words are wasted here - one of the finest monuments to Perpendicular architecture anywhere. Go in, have your breath taken away, admire the paintings, and try and keep your heart in your chest. The fan vaulting is like no other. Pick a sunny, still day, and approach the college from the Backs, the classic side - you avoid the tourists, feel more like a student 😉 And when you are done, take some time sitting on the Backs, and appreciate that Rupert Brooke and others used to punt to here from Grantchester for their lectures. I'm guessing (hoping?) in straw boaters

Indeed a very very special place. We were lucky that a former student has shown us this area. With all the details and historical parts of the Kings college chapel. All these details are so special that you need to take the time to observe all the details of this chapel. The colors, the building architecture in relation with the stories is amazing. You can easily enter this chapel via the main entrance of the Kings College. Please do vist the total area which is amazing and combine this visit with the other College areas in Caimbridge.

There is a reason this is a must stop. The ceiling alone was worth the price of admission. The stain glass work was very human. It needs renovation. They seemed to admire the "modern man" in several panels which caught my attention. Yes, all the tourists stop here. . .for a reason.

The locals are incredibly polite and friendly, always happy to help or share a recommendation. Whether you're punting, visiting museums, or simply enjoying a coffee by the river, the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming.

Can only visit the chapel by attending a service. We went to Evensong - a truly uplifting place. It made me feel very humbled. The choristers were serene.

Fantastic day, need more than one day to see everything. We mainly done hanger 1, the US area and the outside planes. These were knowledgeable and informative. We became members so we can come back a few more times. 100% recommended. All the staff we spoke to were lovely.

Great museum. It's huge. Spread over several hangars and buildings, and includes a Concorde, B52, SR71, U2 and many others. When we visited there were lots of light aircraft and classic planes like spitfires and bi-planes flying as well. There are several restaurants, a free shuttle bus, large gift shop and lots of volunteers (in red) more than happy to help. Car parking is free.

The Duxford Air Museum is an absolutely incredible place to visit! The collection is vast and beautifully displayed. The exhibitions are informative and engaging, with plenty of interactive displays and stories that bring the history of flight to life. Watching aircraft take off and land right in front of you is an unforgettable experience. There are also great facilities — plenty of parking, a nice café with good food and coffee, and lots of space for families to explore.

As a big aviation enthusiast, I was really looking forward to exploring the site and seeing some of the iconic aircraft up close. There was a short wait to buy tickets, and while the entry price did seem quite steep, I was happy enough to pay it for the chance to see the planes I’d come for. Unfortunately, the gentleman at the ticket desk (older, with white hair and a beard) was rather unfriendly and didn’t offer the warmest of welcomes — not the best start to the day. My first stop was the Concorde, which I’ve always wanted to experience. There were two staff members standing by the entrance, but they seemed too caught up in their own conversation to greet visitors or answer questions. Once onboard, there was no one available to provide information or engage with visitors, which was disappointing — especially for such a famous aircraft. After leaving Concorde, I made a beeline for the commercial airliners on display outside — the part of the visit I was most excited for. Unfortunately, when I arrived, all of them were closed for the day except the aircraft in British Airways livery. While that one was open and staffed, and the gentleman onboard was extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer my questions (thank you for that!), I couldn’t help feeling disappointed that the others were shut. Throughout my visit, I also noticed that staff presence around the site felt quite sparse. In several areas, particularly around the commercial airliners, I had a lot of questions but couldn’t find anyone to ask. I was later told that access to the aircraft varies by day, which feels like a bit of a “luck of the draw” situation — fine if communicated clearly, but frustrating when you’ve paid full price and key exhibits aren’t open. Overall, while I did enjoy parts of the visit and found the open aircraft fascinating, the lack of staff engagement, limited access to exhibits, and inconsistent communication left me feeling underwhelmed. With such an incredible collection, I had hoped for a more welcoming and interactive experience.

Incredible place! Honestly the best aviation museum I have ever been to and one of the best museums I have been to overall. Lots to see, lots to interact with, actually getting into some of the planes, many elevated platforms and floors to see these huge aircraft from different angles. The airfield is active with all sorts taking off and landing throughout the day. Accessibility for wheelchair users is great too.

Very extensive collection contained at an active airfield. Vintage planes taking off and landing all day was a huge perk! To see these aircraft still flying is indeed a pleasure! Everything was in good order and labeled. Well worth spending the day here; so very much to see and experience!

Visited IWM Duxford during the school summer holidays and explored at our own pace. The vast hangars packed with iconic aircraft—from Spitfires to Concordes—bring aviation history to life. Interactive exhibits, flight simulators, and outdoor displays kept everyone engaged. Super accessible with wide paths and family facilities. A brilliant day out for all ages!

It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. If you visit Cambridge, this should be definitely in your bucket list. To go punting in river Cam. It was a wonderful experience. You can book a boat for yourself, or you can share a boat, and if you're confident enough, you can ride on your own.

If you’re in Cambridge, make sure to go “punting” on the River Cam. Rent a boat for £30, spend a few hours paddling down the river. You’ll cross the Bridge of Sighs, the Mathematical Bridge, and many others. Many guided tours available. The red boats offer alcohol for sale. Excellent leisure activity in the afternoon with family or friends.

As soon as my boat start journey I feel I’m in a magical land for the time of my River Cam tour on the punt. Can’t explain the atmosphere in words. A must experience thing in the whole of Cambridge. The weather was cold but bright day and got some pics. I would recommend not focusing on taking pictures much coz you’ll loose the feel of the punting trip. This river is a source of great nature beauty, swans, bridges as well as colleges universities n many historical buildings. There must b lovely walks especially in summer or spring when the weather is on peak n gives u all to make an amazing atmosphere.

A charming riverside to spend your weekend! with some famous colleges to keep you architectural company...throw in a picnic and there you are in Paradise! 👍✌

I was in a magical land for that one hour in River Cam on the punt. Can’t explain the ambience in words. A must must visit in the whole of UK. We went in late November, but the weather was kind and got some amazing pictures. I would recommend not focusing on taking pictures much coz you’ll loose the feel of the punting trip.

The total experience of punting down the River Cam in the educational city of Cambridge was so awesome. It was exciting and calming at the same time, passing under various bridges and flanked by historic buildings like St. John's College and Queen's College among others. The views are picturesque and breathtakingly beautiful.

Wanted to visit for years and well worth it. A couple of Spitfires and the Dakota are away at the moment but got to see the Lancaster pushed back in the hanger. Our guide Lou was fantastic, not so knowledgeable about the technical stuff but the stories about the people were tearjerkers, especially the one about Margaret Horton doing the tour when the guide was telling them about her unexpected flight. This is a fantastic place to visit. Spitfires, Hurricane and the awesome Lancaster bomber are based here. You are taken on a tour by a guide who explains in great detail everything about each plane. The information and stories of each plane are remarkable and it makes you realise the importance of these planes and the pilots who flew them. Well worth a visit. Would recommend to all.

A fantastic opportunity, not only to learn more about these iconic planes, and their crews, but also to get up close to them. It helps you to understand the overwhelming conditions that the young pilots and associated crew had to endure, with the odds of survival being very low. Staff are amazing, and very knowledgeable. If you are interested in either history, or even just these planes, it is well worth the time, and £12 entrance fee

Late to review, had a brilliant tour last week with (I think) Colin. I apologise if I have your name wrong sir! He was accompanied by Vivian who was under his wing as a trainee. Colin was fantastic, imparting so much knowledge that I just wanted to record his every word, including answering silly questions from yours truly! Well worth the visit.

Arrived at 10am for 10:30am tour on a Thursday. Tour group up to 20 people. Guide very knowledgeable. Lucky enough to see Spitfire and Hurricane depart (and Lancaster later on) for Eastbourne airshow. Visit in 2025 to see Lancaster before she goes for 18 month major maintenance and new paint job at Duxford. Dakota currently getting similar major maintenance so not available in 2025.

Fantastic tour of the Hanger by an ex BBMF commander, very informative loved every minute, great to see the engineers working on the planes.

National Trust description says it all: a fine example of medieval brick built castle. Information on site all up to usual NT standards. Good views from roof and battlements. An hour probably enough to explore and take in all the history. Easy to find, good parking and a fine church within the grounds.

We are Royal Oak Members who partner with National Trust, so we try to visit as many of their properties as we can when in a certain area. This one was a real gem. Parking was easy with a well marked lot nearby. The walk to the top is relatively easy, as the hand rail is actually formed into the wall, making grasping it easy. The steps are not steep, and one can stop on each floor to learn about the rooms, windows, and fireplaces and their significance. The Great Tower has been in the possession of the trust since 1925 and is very well maintained. On a brilliant day, the views from the top are magnificent. Well worth the effort of climbing to the top.

Absolutely amazing place - made even more special as it was a bright sunny day and the views from the top were fantastic. Beautiful grounds too. The church next to the castle was impressive!

What a stunning place!!!! So much history on the walls!! Over the years people have carved their names into the stone work!! I think the earliest is C15th!! Beautiful rooms , and a genuinely amazing story how this gorgeous building was saved from ruin!!!! One of my favourite NT locations!!! Wonderful views from the roof top!!! Xx

Definitely worth a visit, lovely castle. Great views from the top, welcoming staff and very informative staff too at the entrance and in the castle. Fun games for kids to play on the grass too.

A fantastic day out at Tattershall Castle. £10 entry if not paying gift aid and £11 if paying gift aid. 149 steps to the top of the Castle for fantastic views of local areas. Very interesting castle to visit, with multiple floors & great views from the top. The information boards are very helpful. When we visited (Sunday of August Bank Holiday) there were lots of activities in the grounds, for both adults & kids. The only downside is that there is no café on site, just a van selling snacks. But there are options in the village a short walk away.

This designer outlet isn’t as big as some I’ve been to but there is a good selection of shops including a M&S, Osprey, Levi’s Cadbury Chocolate Shot and much more. I really enjoyed Blud Diamond the garden centre with lush outdoor and indoor plants, gifts, books, household items and restaurant. The Osprey shop has good quality bags and wallets, and the craft shop is well stocked. My favourite area was the extensive well laid out gardens with water features, seating and woods, this is not something you expect to find at a designer outlet. It does feel like an outlet shopping centre because the prices are really competitive.

Springfield in Spalding is an absolute gem, it's the perfect combination of a fantastic shopping destination and a beautiful, peaceful place to relax. It's truly got everything you could want for a great day out First off, the shopping is brilliant. The outlet stores offer a huge range of brands, from high-street favourites like M&S and Joules to well-known names like Clarks and Levi's. You can find everything from clothes and shoes to homeware and gifts, all at great prices. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend a few hours browse and still feel like you only scratched the surface. The layout is also very pleasant, so it doesn't feel overwhelming like a huge indoor mall. But what really sets Springfield apart is the stunning Festival Gardens. It's a wonderful surprise to find such a beautiful, landscaped space right no ext to the shops. The gardens are an absolute highlight, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. The themed areas, water features, and woodland walks make for a lovely stroll. It's a fantastic spot to take a break, enjoy a coffee, or just admire the beautiful flowers. The gardens are clearly well-cared for, and it's a real joy to walk around them. The fact that these two elements - the great shopping and the gorgeous gardens - are together in one place makes Springfield so special. It's a place where you can shop until you drop, then step outside into a serene and inspiring garden to relax and recharge. The whole atmosphere is welcoming and enjoyable, making it a wonderful experience for everyone. I loved every minute of my visit and I'm already looking forward to going back.

As a wheelchair user this place was great to visit. Nice smooth floors both inside the shops and in the street area. Plenty of parking and everything was clean and tidy. We visited the garden centre cafe for food and weren’t disappointed. Grandchildren loved shopping for accessories and daughter in law found a birthday present she liked easily.

Not a bad place to go shopping. I detest shopping. Here is a good spot to whip around a wide range of shops grabbing all the bits you have needed to get for the last few years and then grab a coffee to celebrate getting it over with. Parking is excellent, always room for my camper van, I like a big space. Reasonably priced.

Very clean and spacious, a variety of shops to look around. Adventure land was great fun for the kids. The ducks were not at all afraid of humans which shows how well they are cared for. Sitting around the ponds was quite peaceful. I cant find fault with anything at all.

The restaurant in the garden center is very nice, with a large room, comfortable seating, delicious meals, and a very large selection of gluten-free desserts. Everyone will find something for themselves there.

Caught out by the parking charge . Thought he first hour was free - I was wrong. Got stuck at the gate with about 20 cars behind me . Called for help and the attendant could not have been more unfriendly. Told me to reverse directly at the queue of cars behind to make them move - I was in a van with zero rear view and aware that the queue behind were not feeling hospitable! I would have happily paid a charge by cc at this point but that could not be offered and they instructed me to either force the cars behind me to move or to leave the van and block the exit while I walked back to a pay station - accepting my mistake was my fault , the response from this team was pathetic.

This place is incredible! The best farm, play park, soft play we have ever been! I would highly recommend this place as there’s soo much to do it’s excellent. Lots of in door places to have fun if the weather turns, and soo much to explore outdoor too. Not forgetting the wonderful animals you can see and feed! The ice cream van has so many gorgeous items on the menu! Lots of picnic areas outside to enjoy in the sunshine. A wide selection of play toys, tractors and go karts (go karts you have to pay for) there’s also some lovely sound gardens where you can create sound by tapping on the metal plants! We had such a lovely day out thank you, and will be visiting again soon.

Not a bad place at all, our only issue was the thunder flies they were horrendous we were absolutely covered in them, the place itself though great to see animals up close and it was nice and quiet as it wasn't a peak time, all the animals are friendly they LOVE the food some of the sheep's are chunkys haha Staff were friendly, don't expect a whole day out of it as it's quite small just depends how long you are with each animal I guess, the reptile bit is a nice addition, falconry section is cool that eagle is a beast! The owl was proud he got his food he was loving it Great for kids to meet the animals they see in fields all the time, gift shop my Mrs was obsessed with there was melts they were really good and smelt good the rest of it you might wanna blindfold your kids on the way through or your bank balance might suffer

6/5 stars, indoor activities for the little ones was amazing. The soft play and a separate toddler play with a huge selection of toys is the best I have seen. Didn't get to see the birds fly but wont complain. Only downside was the price of food. For a cafe style it was way over priced. Did get to see a reindeer that seemed to love people and the small reptile enclosure was a very nice touch. If I lived local I would 100% get an annual pass.

The farm is a lovely place for families, with friendly animals and clear signs of care such as enrichment for pigs and goats, plus wonderful bird shows that prioritise animal choice. However, it is not set up for very hot days. Many animals, especially woollier sheep & cold-climate birds, were clearly overheating—breathing heavily, shaky, lethargic, and with little escape from the heat. One pair of small sheep were in distress, with one foaming a bit at the mouth, shaking, and breathing rapidly. The first staff member I asked only swapped their water and left them in the same condition. Thankfully, another staff member—an approachable, friendly lady with pink highlights—moved them into the shade where they became much more active. She was fantastic and clearly passionate about the animals. It was incredibly saddening I had to ask more than one person before they were properly helped. Some enclosures had minimal shade or shelter, and one heavy-wool sheep pen had no visible water source other than a small sink. The animals there hadn’t moved all day and were breathing heavily, which did not seem suitable for the conditions. While most animals appeared well cared for in general, the lack of adequate cooling or shade during hot weather is a serious welfare concern. I hope the farm considers adding more shade, indoor access, or seasonal care (such as shearing before heatwaves) to help prevent heat stress. The activities, playgrounds, and variety of food options were excellent for visitors, but better hot-weather care would make the experience far better for both animals and guests. The videos show the small sheep who was struggling & the enclosure with the lack of water + escape from heat.

A really enjoyable day with a visit to the farm and pumpkin patch! Lots to see and do, very clean and ample places available to eat! Lucky to have the farm on our doorstep ☺️

TL;DR - Excellent value for money, lots to see and do, excellent animal welfare. One of the things I appreciate most about Tattershall Farm Park is that it is one of the rare places in the country that allow you to have a fun family day out without breaking the bank. It is very thoughtfully priced here; even the plentiful onsite cafés are well priced and the food quality is very good. Entrance tickets are really good value for money - there is so much to see and do here it really is a wonderful day out. It is clear that animal welfare is a priority here - all exhibits are a good size and all the animals get let out daily. All exhibits clean and tidy and food water is kept in good supply for them. We went on a lovely hot summers day in August and there was plenty of shade in all of the exhibits, both natural shade from trees/rocks and man-made in the form of shelters. I disagree with the comments from another viewer that it is inappropriate for the animals when it is sunny; this just simply isn't true. And for her to say she was concerned that some of the animals were "breathing quickly" is an unqualified observation - firstly, most animals have different repiratory systems to humans and breathe differently to begin with. Secondly, when it is very hot it is a natural response to breathe quicker than when it is cold. I have zero concerns about animal welfare here. Infact, I have never been to a farm park or even a zoo where animals have had as well-sized exhibits as here. If you are even remotely local this is well worth a visit and worth travelling to. Some things to see and do include; Sheep, Goats, Horses, Ponies, an exotic animals exhibit including Lizards, Snake, Bearded Dragons and Tarantulas, Birds of pray exhibits and falconry display, Meerkats, inflatable obstacle course, various playgrounds and adventure playgrounds, indoor soft play area, indoor sand play area and more.

We visited on the 25th October for the twilight pumpkin pick. This is the second time we've come along, taking an hour each way to travel. The staff/team put on an amazing FREE entrance event. It's a brilliant evening for both children and grown ups. There's lots to walk around and do with photo opportunities scattered around and a maize maze to walk around. Rides, food and drinks. Just make sure you wrap up as it can get a little chilly in the evening. The pumpkin prices go by the weight of the one you pick. Can't wait to go back again next year.

Civic museums are so important to small towns, and the Ayscoughfee is no exception. Wonderful building made publicly accessible with a diversity of exhibits. Plenty to see, alongside the well maintained gardens. Glad I stopped by for an hour whilst I had some time in Spalding.

Only went into the gardens and these were very calming and relaxed. Tea room is a bit exclusive but great meals and snacks.

Where to start? Such a gem of a place! The gardens are lovely & the cafe is amazing! (The food makes you feel like moving in!) But the house is the star! So beautifully preserved, so engaging & informative! The visit is manageable & the staff very happy to assist!

Small but beautiful gardens. Interesting trees and formal lake with fish. Very nice cafe and excellent toilet facilities - especially for those with disabilities. Couldn't visit the museum as opening hours are few.

Historic watermill, operating on select days. River cruise and self hire boats also available and a small beach area for river swimming.

I had such a lovely day out at Houghton Mill in Abbots and would definitely recommend it. The mill itself is a really interesting National Trust property, full of character, but what made it extra special was everything around it. You can hire boats or punts by the mill at very reasonable prices, which was so much fun and such a relaxing way to enjoy the river. On sunny days, it’s also a great spot to bring your own inflatable if you fancy drifting along at your own pace. The area is perfect for picnics too. There are plenty of tables outside if you want to sit and enjoy food from the café (which was excellent – really tasty and good value), or you can just bring a rug and set yourself up right by the water. It’s such a peaceful, pretty place to relax. If you’ve got time, it’s also worth wandering into the village. There are some really good pubs, all with a welcoming feel, plus a lovely antique and art shop that’s fun to browse. Altogether, Houghton Mill and the village make a brilliant day out with a great mix of history, nature, good food, and a lot of fun on the water!

Lovely small and spacious campsite near the river for walks and water for those who like messing about in it!! The mill was very interesting and a short walk to pubs with good beer. The facilities were great and very clean. My only small gripe was no toilet paper left in the morning.

This was a pleasant and unexpected experience with a lovely mill on a river. Some of the views seemed out of a money painting. We didn't go in the but just did the circular walk. There is a swimming and canoeing area. There's also a campdite close by and a small cafe for refreshments. Parking on grass is available. Good for families wanting to explore and be at one with nature and dogs are welcome.

Visited when en-route home from Shropshire and well worth it. Very busy to park but well organised. Interesting bit of history and couple of enthusiastic volunteers added to it. Pleasant walk along river too. Bought some of the milled flour.

Beautiful place. Did the mill tour but definitely going back to do the 5k circular walk and perhaps take out a rowing boat.

Great place for swimming, canoeing, or long walks. The mill is definitely worth visiting, check the opening hours. There are toilets and a tea shop next to the car park. You can rent boats and canoes. Car park and facilities close usually at 4 pm, but you can still drive out, so don't worry about leaving your car for longer, drive up to the gate (not too close) and it will open. Beautiful scenery, we did an 8k walk (check out the map in my pictures, red trail, with a green shortcut south of the lakes) but you have many options, including an around 20k one recommended on a map just south of the mill. There may be mud and narrow paths in tall grass, so aim at good weather. Don't miss walking around the picturesque village with many old houses, a bit like going back in time. Recommended.

A lovely little museum of arguably one of UKs best (least known) poets. The museum is is quite well maintained and there is a pleasant cafe on the location serving sandwiches and beverages. There is a small entrance fee of approximately 11 pounds. An opportunity to travel back in time - not to miss and set in a stunning countryside and village.

We received a lovely warm welcome and were offered our choice of seating. The Café is light, spotlessly clean, modern but in-keeping with the period nature of the John Clare Cottage. All the Cakes and Sandwiches are Homemade. Tea is served in a Pot and Coffee is served simply, in a French Press (Cafetiere), as opposed to an Espresso Machine, so no Caffè variants like Latte, Mocha or Cappuccino, etc. Between the two of us we shared a Cafetiere and two delicious Cakes, a Victoria Sponge (made with Butter Cream) and a Blueberry Lemon Cake, both outrageously good.

Lovely visit, wonderful place, thoughtfully geared to make visits from many kinds of visitors possible and enjoyable. John Clare was very much a writer’s voice for the peasant class at a time of little credence or care being given to those from his social background. He has since become a modern beckon of social justice, environmental wisdom and mental health awareness, for men in particular. His story is beautifully told here and the staff at the site are helpful, pleasant, engaging and kind. The village and John’s grave ate also worth a visit.

This was a lovely visit. Interesting house and museum and obviously much loved by the people who work there. Lovely cafe as well. Generous portions and ingredients used from the garden. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Stunning little museum. Lots to see and learn. His life and works and subsequent mental health breakdown was beautifully explained. Great audio guide (I usually can’t stand them). Helpful staff. Bought a book. Awakened my interest in poetry. Lovely garden. We didn’t stop at the cafe but seemed very popular. If you’re in the area it’s well worth the visit.

Did not pay to go round the cottage , but had a coffee in the lovely coffee shop. Limited menu and choice of drinks, but the tea and coffee we had was OK and not too expensive. On the street parking, but we managed to find a space

Very enjoyable visit. The staff/volunteers gave a warm welcome. The audio tour and signs give lots of information and bring the history to life. The gardens were a nice. Great tea room too with delicious homemade cake.

It was my first time coming to this spa with friends. Check in was easy, you do it on an electronic kiosk and you’re given a wristband that will be used for your locker and purchasing drinks. For food it’s a set platter to share between two. The chicken was bland but the other items like the soup and the sweet potato chips were delicious. The dessert was nice also. The drinks were delicious as well, particularly the juices, these were very refreshing. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They made the experience more enjoyable. I appreciated their kindness and attentiveness. When going into the spa area there is a pool outside and there are several steam rooms. There was a salt room we went into but it wasn’t hot, but was still nice to sit inside of. They also have an ice room - which is a small room with an ice slab on the wall, this was nice to use to cool down. There was another room they had which was very misty and filled with stones, very hot and my friend enjoyed this one. It was relaxing to try the different rooms and lay in the pool. After you’re finished they have a shower room area but the hooks are located at the end, so you need someone to help you get your towel if you’re not at the end. They do have shower items in the cubicle like shower wash, shampoo and conditioner from ELEMIS. This was quite nice as it helped with my hair from what was done at the spa. There were also plenty of spaces to get ready - to dry your hair, apply face creams or do makeup. It was a very pretty layout and plenty of space for everyone. I really enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it for others also.

Gone down hill massively. Went there yesterday and was over booked, not enough space anywhere completely overcrowded. Now you have to order your drinks via your phone which makes no sense. You go to a spa to relax not look at your phone. We left after 1hr because it was so busy and didn't feel safe leaving 40 robes on hooks with my phone in its pocket. Also my partner left her bikini in the changing rooms. Called today and it's been stolen. Management completely have there head in clouds. Used to be a nice place. Won't ever be going back.

I have been to this spa many times over the last ten years as I live locally and have always enjoyed my experience. The spa packages with food were great, as well as the treatments for special occasions. I’ve often booked these for my partners birthday as a special treat. Tonight was the first time my partner and I have returned to ‘relax’ after the end of a stressful week of work. Unfortunately, since the updates to the spa I no longer feel the same. We left after two hours as the facilities and pool were far too overcrowded to use, and it was not relaxing in the slightest. It seems what used to be quite a boutique and up market spa has turned extremely tacky. The ‘touchless’ treatments are not the same as a proper massage or facial; we had to share a room with another couple for a start. Which was a weird experience to say the least. We will not be returning again any time soon, which is a real shame, as we used to really enjoy this spa and the treatments/packages that were offered. I’m not sure who did their market research on this but I feel it’s going to be a big mistake. The vibe has completely changed and doesn’t seem to fit with the resort - it’s sad and very clearly just to make more money.

Wonderful small spa in a peaceful resort. There are well-equipped changing rooms and showers. The staff provides you with a robe and two towels, the check-in is very easy, the staff is super friendly. In the spa, there are five rooms (salt spa, soft humidity spa, another one which i think is aromatherapy and one 80-85 degrees hot spa). There is also an ice room which is helpful after a hot spa, it would be useful though to have more ice or cold temperature rooms available. There is an outdoor pool with warm water, and places to sit outside. You can also order drinks whilst enjoying the spa. It is super clean, and the time slots are of good length (i.e. 10am-1pm, 1.30-4.30pm). There's also the option to try/book the sound experience which i cannot comment on as I didn't try it. If you are in the area, I'd very much recommend this place.

I wanted to share my recent experience at this spa from this weekend. I used the toilet to start with, (hopefully not sounding too crude) once I finished my business, I pulled up my shorts and they were soaked in someone else’s urine. Yes, the floor was soaked in urine. The shorts were the ones I arrived in so I didn’t have any others to leave with. I decided to go to the help desk to complain. They were apologetic and agreed that the state of the toilets is unaccepted. I asked if they had anything I could wear, they decided to sell me a pair of shorts which weren’t expensive (£17) and gave me 50% off. They said 50/50 on the basis that I’m to share the blame of my experience. I didn’t kick up a fuss and paid the money, even though they should have taken full ownership. All of this is before I’d even stepped foot in the main facilities. The spa itself has lots of different rooms (steam and sauna), it’s a little small and it was frustratingly overcrowded. It took a good 30 minutes before my partner and I could even get into the pool. Lots of people drinking in the main pool which made the experience by far from relaxing. I had a bad experience and to be honest I would find it extremely hard to recommend anyone to visit this spa.

Went to the Y Spa 2 years ago and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Decided to go again on a Monday afternoon, unfortunately nowhere near the standard of our first visit. Incredibly overcrowded (we couldn’t get in the outdoor pool or have use of an outside lounger as these had all been reserved with dressing gowns). The food menu was also very limited at this time of day. A disappointing second visit and not sure we’ll be back based on this experience.

The spa at Wyboston Lakes is lovely and peaceful and very reasonable prices. The food is delicious and they are good for allergies and vegan options. The steam rooms and saunas are nice and clean. The outdoor pool is lovely and warm and calm. Recommend.

We attended the chili tour and tasting and had a brilliant time! The experience was filled with information and great stories as well as a wide range of chili plants. The tasting was amazing, again with a wide range of products and fresh chili's. Definitely recommend and hope to come back whenever in the area again.

Wonderful experience, sauce and chilli tasting and afternoon tea. Passionate about their work and delicious food largely grown in their own gardens and fields. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes a bit of heat and is interested in different flavours of chilli

Had a fantastic time on the ‘Cooking with chillies made simple’ workshop. The owners were very knowledgeable, open and friendly. There was plenty to do on the workshop and we had a lovely day out. All in all great experience and I learned a lot. They also sell chilli plants and sauces on site which is really handy, including their own home grown sauces from their own chilli harvest. I only wish I turned up sooner so I could relax in the café, not to worry as I’ll definitely be revisiting at some point.

🌶️ Chilli Ranch – A Must-Visit Hidden Gem! 🌶️ Had an incredible experience here! The tour was absolutely fascinating – our guide was super informative, passionate, and engaging throughout. I learned so much about different chilli varieties and how they’re grown. The tasting session was the real highlight though – so many amazing flavours and unique combinations to try. Everything was really well organised and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly, highly recommend visiting – it’s a fantastic day out and a real treat for foodies! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved it from beginning to end, deserves more than 5 stars ! Went on the chilli tasting tour for two. Shaun the owner gave us a very informative talk on how to grow chillies from seed, then we had a tour of the farm and picked our own chillies. After that we went into their shop, tried their huge range of sauces followed by chilli tasting, from mild to hottest in the world! After that we had some amazing food in the restaurant. Definitely going back.

Visited the Chilli Farm for afternoon tea and a tour of the chilli farm. Overall it was a great experience. Joanna who is the owner of the farm and our guide for the tour was really informative and has a real passion for chillies. After a short talk about the various variety of chillies, we had a sampling session in the cafe of various chillies, chilli sauces and marmalades, starting from the mildest up to the hottest…the Carolina Reaper! There was plenty of milk on hand should you need it! Afternoon tea was lovely, a variety of sandwiches all made with various chilli based sauces and marmalades. Would certainly recommend for an afternoon out.
