Points of Interest & Landmarks
Långe Jan, also known as Lange Jan, is a towering lighthouse located on the southern tip of Öland in Sweden. Standing at 41.6 meters tall and boasting 197 steps to the top, this historic structure was built in 1785 and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
Långe Jan lighthouse on Öland is a remarkable destination! The views from the top are simply stunning, offering panoramic vistas of the island and the sea. The surrounding area is beautiful, perfect for a peaceful walk and bird-watching. The lighthouse itself is well-maintained and steeped in history. A must-visit for anyone traveling to Öland!
Ajay K — Google review
Sweden's tallest lighthouse. Tickets are sold in the boutique (restaurant's side), not at the entrance (friendly staff). I was told there were 200 steps to the top, might be 197, I didn't count. The staircase is very narrow but overall the climb is easy-peasy. Might obviously be better when the weather is nice but overall very good spot for bird watching it seems. The views are what you'll be here for and are up to what you expect. Everything around is a protected natural area.
Stanislas T — Google review
So nice place which definitely worth it. I was there on Friday and only few people were there with me. Entry to the lighthouse cost 50 SEK and the view is so beautiful.
Anna S — Google review
Well worth a trip if you like birds, good view of the unique landscape from the top
Arne O — Google review
It's one of our favourite places to walk in nature among the birds. We have been regular visitors to Långe Jan and the bird sanctuary for the last 1.5 years. Långe Jan is Sweden's tallest lighthouse. The view from the top is breathtaking. The lighthouse is only open during the summer and autumn (check the exact timings on their website). They have an entrance ticket that can be bought on the spot. The entrance opens at every hour. There's free parking and free toilets on the premises. They also have a bird museum, a small souvenir shop and a restaurant. Parking is open around the year whereas other facilities are open only during their opening time of the year. You can walk around the premises, on marked trails in the forest, and by the sea. Be sure to look at the map so as not to walk to the prohibited areas or hunting areas. The reserve also serves as a grazing area for cows and sheep. You can easily spot different species of birds, deers, rabbits, and seals. I recommend carrying decent binoculars to experience the surrounding beauty.
Dhyanendra R — Google review
Beatiful view If the weather is good, you can go up to the platform by paying a small fee (i recoment bringing cash with you) and If its open you can only go up at full hours!
Odoncor — Google review
The tallest lighthouse in Sweden from which you can admire variety of birds. It's also hugely popular with birdwatchers. The place itself is very peaceful with not many visitors, there were no queues (middle of August). So, if you're into nature and landscapes it's worth visiting.
Łukasz R — Google review
It's probably a good spot for bird watching but I think the restrictions on where you can go due to the bird sanctuary was too restricting. But as I said. For bird watching probably great, for humans with dogs just wanting to explore the nature I would go elsewhere.

The Naval Museum, also known as Marinmuseum, is a modern and family-friendly waterfront museum located on the island of Stumholmen in Karlskrona, Sweden. It boasts a diverse range of exhibits that showcase the country's rich naval heritage.
À great must, in particular Nep(tune) Also the reception team made us feel extremely welcome, in particular the lady of Italian origin whose name I failed to ask. But for sure she'll remember the guy who liked stickers
José I — Google review
Interesting and extensive museum, gives great insight in the becoming of Karlskrona. The submarine is most impressive, although all the other exhibitions were also created with great care. One minor problem was that not all the signage was always available in English, or maybe only one sentence was while the Swedish text was very extensive. Google Translate solved this, but that could be improved for foreign visitors.
Niels G — Google review
While not a huge museum, it has some great exhibits, not least a very large naval submarine you can go inside and walk about in. There is a theatre that shows a very well presented film on the timeline of the Swedish navy. All the exhibits are displayed well and have English explanations alongside those in Swedish. The information is not verbose, which is a mistake often made by museums I've been too. The museum has an excellent restaurant which rounds off a really enjoyable experience overall !
Adam B — Google review
Most beautifull museum for marine, I've seen. Being able to visit a real U-boot on the inside completly, just gives you much more feeling with the history and live in the marine. Also the lunch buffet in the museum is good quality.
Wim V — Google review
Very interesting exposition includes 2 submarines and 3 ships. Good for visiting with kids. Also discount is available for entance if less than 1 hour until closure left
Marija L — Google review
A lovely couple of hours entertainment. Lots of bits that both kids and adults can enjoy like the nuclear submarine you can go on - do expect queues in busier periods. Really nicely weaved in overarching narratives with rich personal stories and events such as the Polish submariners who fled to Sweden in WW2 and Swedish conscripts experiences of the cold war. For an Englishman a fascinating way to learn more about Sweden's evolution through regional power, to superpower, to the softpower and cultural force you see today.
Nathan L — Google review
Very interesting museum offering informal text in various languages. It is a very interactive museum aswell with educational games so you easier can learn about for example submarines and how they work. You can enter a submarine aswell and see how they lived in there and more. There is also a buffet restaurant at the entrance if you want a quick bite before or after your visit.
Dinos I — Google review
I’ve been visiting the Blekinge region for years, and I must confess that this museum surprised me very positively with its accurate exhibitions and attention to detail. It transports you back in time and offers a magnified view beneath the surface of Karlskrona’s naval mastery. The museum doesn’t earn a full five stars because the bistro offers only limited and rather bland plant-based options, while most Swedish classic meals served are centered around meat and fried fish. Moreover, I felt the museum’s exhibitions tended to present Sweden’s naval and military history in a way that passively promotes war. Despite being a civilian institution, the displays often focus on military achievements and hardware without encouraging deeper reflection on the consequences or ethical complexities of conflict. I would have appreciated a more critical perspective that invites visitors to consider the broader impacts of war, rather than treating it as an inevitable or unproblematic part of national history.

Kungsholm Fortress

Mentioned on
1 list
Army facility
Sights & Landmarks
Kungsholm Fortress, located offshore in Karlskrona, was established in 1680 to defend the town and is an extraordinary sight. The only way to visit the fort is through a two-hour guided boat tour that can be booked through Karlskrona Turistbyra or at the Marinmuseum. The 'World Heritage Tour' offers a lovely afternoon trip from Karlskrona to Kungsholm's fort with skilled and friendly guides.
A pleasant boat ride over to the fortress and a very nice guide, would definitely recommend this to people who wants to know a bit more about Swedish naval history. There is also a huge botanical garden with over 200 different plants if you are interested in nature. Overall the trip takes around 4 hours give or take and the boat has some minor refreshments although I would recommend bringing your own water and meal if you are planning on eating on the island since they do overcharge a bit on the boat.
Lukas — Google review
An amazing day in the Fortress and a friendly, funny guide walked with us on the island. The " wild" lives were interesting too ( haha!) it was public holiday and no one worked there though
Sindy L — Google review
So much Swedish naval history at this place.

(Translated by Google) Nice fort, you can only visit the fort with a guide and boat. You must not walk around alone. Some stairs and you walk a lot, no seats unless the guide has placed chairs. Not adapted for the disabled. It is absolutely worth a visit.
We didn’t get to set foot on Kungsholm Fortress, but we were lucky enough to get an incredible view of it from our cruise ship as we sailed into Karlskrona—and even from a distance, it was impressive. The fortress sits on a small island just off the coast, and its strategic position at the entrance to the naval harbor makes it clear why it played such an important role in Sweden’s maritime defense. Built in the late 1600s, Kungsholm Fortress has guarded the approach to Karlskrona for centuries and remains an active military installation, which makes it all the more fascinating. From the water, you can spot its rounded bastions, lighthouse, and even a glimpse of the courtyard inside the old stone walls. Knowing it has a botanical garden within the fortress walls—planted by the soldiers and maintained for generations—only added to the intrigue. While civilian access is restricted, getting a view of Kungsholm from the ship gave us a real sense of its scale and historical significance. If you’re cruising into Karlskrona, be sure to head out on deck—you won’t want to miss this striking piece of Swedish naval history quietly holding its post just offshore.
Celine L — Google review
(Translated by Google) Masterful. The fort was built around 1680. There was never any actual fighting. The entire island and fortress are intact and original. The tour goes via the towers to the roof. The cannons were there to defend the water entrance. The cannons are gone, there is now an art gallery with works by stationed soldiers and war implements and tools on display. It also smells like the year 1700. You can climb the lighthouse from the roof. A beautiful place to take panoramas. The guide was perfect and knew everything. Was a former Marine himself. (Original) Magistraal.

Kreativum Science Center is an engaging destination for all ages, offering a captivating exploration of nature and groundbreaking inventions. The museum's various discovery zones are designed to stimulate curiosity, providing an immersive and educational experience that engages and inspires visitors. While some exhibits may be aging, the center offers interactive activities such as making paper and playing with remote control boats. It's especially recommended for families with children aged 10-14, as there are numerous activities to keep everyone busy for several hours.
Great for kids! Tired grownups might get a bit bored, but there's enough fun even for adults. The experiments and information were creatively catering to all ages.
Leon M — Google review
Amazing experience for my daughters. At least 4 hours needed. The movie shown about how the eye works was way to heavy though. Not sure why they choose that movie for kids. I had a hard time following how all the different cells in the eye function on a molecular level, or how level jumps in hydrogen electrons send out different frequencies of energy in space. :D But besides that, a great place for my 9-year olds.
Christian G — Google review
We're here to see the dinosaurs we're so much more to see. Do you have children I recommend you to go here. They have a shop with a lot of small things. You can take a fika if you want to, you are going to need a coffee after spending hours here
Valie W — Google review
Great scientific experience for kids and adults. It includes astronomy, climate change, physics etc. There is also a nice open-air space with an old jet fighter, bubble soap tool and some other mechanical experimental tool.
Umut S — Google review
The permanent exhibits are interesting but a little aging. There are some nice interactives but many are broken or not working properly (one of the remote-controlled boats, the water power station in the park, the mouth-like musical instrument, among others). The dinosaur exhibit was great for my 4 year-old! He loved the animated robots, the digging, shadow theater and painting activities. But for older kids it might be a little boring. Besides these activities the exhibit itself does not have much interaction or information. I felt a lack of docents/educators to give out information, help us use the interactives or present special activities. I was not told about the fossil hunting that took place outside when we entered, which was a real shame, I only saw it when it was too late! In summary, we had a great time but many things could be improved.
Aline S — Google review
The place is OK, available food, some.interactive games, but I was disapointed by the fact it did not changed in four years since I have been there last time.it has very limited opening hours even during season as well.

On the island you will often come across numerous deer with great antlers. The ferry is on time and cheap. We didn't eat, unfortunately the coffee wasn't hot anymore. But that seems relatively unimportant and secondary to us. The island is beautiful (Original) Tolle Insel mit dem hellsten Leuchtturm der ganzen Ostsee! Man kann hier klasse Spazieren gehen. Well worth a visit. Keep to the path parallel to the road from the carpark, otherwise wear waterproof shoes as the car cemetery lies in a peat bog. Paradise for photographers.

A unique place indeed! Old car yard of cars from 1930s-60s. There are sinages to explain the history of the place. Power of Mother Nature can be visibly seen as the forest is reclaiming back its space. Very small limited parking area.
Oh H — Google review
Very unusual place. Full of old rusting cars and car parts. Like a cemetery. I imagine it used to be cool when the cars were still recognizable. Now it is just rust and dented metal. Quite depressing but stays in memory. Worth to visit. For free.
Marta R — Google review
We had an amazing time walking through the wrecks. The sense of quietness and stillness was a much welcome experience after being on the road for a while.
Laurens D — Google review
Well worth a visit if you are into cars... every corner seems to tell a different story. There are so many different views and angles. The woods are slowly taking over. There are signs explaining what the owner did over all those years and the city trying to find a solution to deal with everything left in the woods. 2001 they decide to keep it to let people see how nature heals itself. We'll be back at some point to see how things change.
Uwe P — Google review
Fascinating place. Even when you do not like cars.
Jacqueline B — Google review
Whether it’s a work of art representing the transience of life or simply a lot of trash in the forest—that’s for each visitor to decide. We lean a bit more toward the latter. Still, it’s worth a quick stop if you’re passing by, but I wouldn’t make a detour just for it.

Kivik Cider factory is a must-visit destination in Kivik, offering a comprehensive experience for visitors. The facility includes a small museum, an expansive shop with various apple-based products, and an orchard featuring labeled apple trees. Guests can indulge in cider tastings during specified hours or opt for evening tastings with snacks. Families will appreciate the educational tours and the opportunity to explore the apple trees.
If you love apples this is the place to be. Big garden with lots of different types of apples. Big store with different types of juices and lemonades and other types of goodies. You even have the opportunity to sit at the restaurant or cafe to sit down and enjoy some coffee or ofcourse apple juice.
Rob K — Google review
A worthy stop when in Österlen. There is a cafe, a shop and a viewing factory where they display some of the machinery and juice making process, fun to see for kids. The cafe was somewhat pricier than normal. For example, a piece of apple pie was 59kr. The shop, on the other hand, is cheaper than what you would pay in a store. There were many people on a Friday afternoon, but I wouldn’t say crowded. The biggest attraction is swings in the tree that are super high. Kids loved it as it goes really high, very popular.

Stenshuvud's National Park is a serene sanctuary where lush deciduous forests meet pristine white-sand beaches, offering an idyllic setting for swimming, hiking, and picnicking. Situated in Osterlen, the park provides breathtaking panoramic views of the coast and surrounding landscapes. While planning is essential due to the vast area and limited amenities, visitors can enjoy leisurely walks through beautiful woodlands, take in stunning viewpoints, and relax on the sandy beach.
One of the best walks I have been on. We took a 4.2 km hike and it had everything. We crossed through the forest, there was a viewpoint that was worth the climb, a sunny beach to dip into to cool off, and at last a rocky finish to make the hike a bit challenging but still very manageable. Definitely worth the drive to there.
Rob K — Google review
Every beach along the coast seems to be very different. This beach has tons of beautiful pebbles that are smooth and some are pretty colorful. Worth a visit!
Kien P — Google review
A really nice hike if you start from the Hällevik side, right by the Kivik Musteri. There is also a parking and a camping spot. We went directly to the northern top which was a few kilometers. After that we went down to Naturum and from there to the beach. From the beach we took a path back to Hällvik, which was quite rocky so not suitable for too small kids or strollers. We had 4 and 6 year olds with us and they found the hike quite exciting and not so hard. In total we walked about 6-7 km, starting from 17 o’clock until 21. We also had a picnic on the top of the mountain and then had a stop for swimming and snacking at the beach. I was worried for the last part of the hike but I gave some lollipops to the kids and it really motivated them. If you come at the end of May you will find a blossoming rhododendrons at Hällevik.

Another excellent naturrum in Sweden. It shared considerable information about fishes found in the area(river, lake). It is also one of the places with good birdwatching opportunities. One of the staff members, Sussie, explained with enthusiasm about the cranes that visit the vattenriket area between mid-April and mid-May. Their changing display of fishes found in the area is an easy way to impart information. The restaurant on the second level is value for money, also the view is nice. The Opteryx experience is exciting for the kids, not much for the adults. There are two short hiking trails in the area. Overall, I highly recommend it.

If you are passing through Kristianstad in the south of Sweden, don't miss the a walk along the nature reserve just outside town. It is centric around the water and it's importance for the area. The area has a very rich bird and plant habitat

This is a small-scale, cool , interactive natural-museum kind of structure. I love how it encourages children (and adults) to research their surroundings. There are examples of eggs of various local birds, models of the birds, local plant examples, microscopes with samples of bones, plants, etc...it is really an interesting and fun way to explore local fauna and flora.

A must visit place when in Kristianstad. Very interesting presentation of wetlands wild life. Do not miss to enter simulation cabin and have a fascinating trip from air to land and even underwater all over the wetlands area.

Great visitor center for the wetlands biosphere surrounding Christianstad. Lots of interactive and passive information, and I can recommend the opteryx ride!

Good place for a walk in the park (or castle grounds) which is located on a narrow piece of land between two lakes. Having walked to the end of the gardens to the lake, you will find a little island which has a view of the lake, linked by wooden bridge which has a swing on it!

Christinehof Slott

Cultural center
Sights & Landmarks
Castle
"Christinehof slott" is sometimes translated into English as "Christinehof castle," but it may be better described as an aristocratic palace or manor house. Christina Piper, the building’s namesake and the widow of a close advisor to the Swedish king, saw to its construction in Andrarum between 1737-1740. She also played a critical role in the nearby alunbrucket's expansion, which produced alum until the early twentieth century. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the site alone warrants repeat visits. It also hosts an interpretive exhibit regarding Christinehof's background. An unexpected side attraction is Christinehof's role as a rock music concert site from 1985 to 2012. Included among the artists who performed at Christinehof are Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry, Alice Cooper, Elton John, Bryan Adams, Little Richard, Santana, Tom Jones, and the Beach Boys. Photographs from 11 March 2015, 10 September 2022, and 24 May 2024.

Very nice castle with beautiful grounds. Didn’t visit the interior since we found the entrance free a bit off putting. However the surroundings are very enjoyable and it’s part of an ecopark which offers lots of possibilities to visit and hikes. Has a nice caffe with a good selection of pastries. Would definitely recommend.

Nice historical place to visit. The grounds are nice enough. Could have been better maintained specifically the ponds. Good read and guided tour. Food was ok but not much to choose from. No gluten free savoury options

Tours
Tykarpsgrottan - besöksgruva offers a 40-minute guided tour through an old limestone mine with stone steps leading into the cave. The ground inside is made of porous limestone and gravel, so it's not entirely flat and can be slightly slippery. Visitors may need to crouch in some areas due to limited headspace. The campsite is quiet with friendly staff, clean facilities, and a well-maintained onsite 'cave' worth visiting.
It’s an old mine. Not much more. That being said, the kids loved it. The tour guide takes a group through the labyrinth of chambers in 40 minutes or so. Not cheap, but an interesting experience.
Peter S — Google review
Very expensive for the experience - it is a guided tour of 40-45 minutes in Swedish, a few interesting tidbits that could have been a signpost :) Actually this would have been more appropriate as an unguided tour with arrows marking the route. And for 1/4 of the price. Chalk mines are in essense not thay interesting to look at as well.
Paul A — Google review
A nice and quick guided tour through an old, primitive, limestone mine. The tour is about 40 minutes. There are stone steps leading into the mine, but beroende the entrance the ground is made of porous limestone and limestone gravel/dust. Not too slippery, but you still need to watch your steps slightly as the ground is not entirely flat. Headspace is mostly sufficient, but in some places you will likely need to crouch slightly.
Aron C — Google review
Tourist trap. Tours are in Swedish and short. Cave is small. Didn't see anything special, no bats. Not worth the price.
Freek R — Google review
I think it's good for children, but a little bit boring for adults. The excursion is very short and your ability to go to look something inside the cave is limited.
Olga G — Google review
Extremely nice and quiet campsite. Friendly staff and good prices. The service buildings are kept very clean although the shower costs SEK5 it is acceptable because of how well maintained it is. The onsite 'cave' is well worth a visit as well.
Remco M — Google review
The place offers bbq and a cafe in summertime. A new playground is located close to the mining entrance. Restrooms available and a small souvenirshop is also close at hand.
Sebastian W — Google review
Well.. I really don't know what to type here. I love caves, but you are very limited to where you can go in the cave. And the tour was very childish. Other than that, a massive cave/old mine..

Hands down the best zoo we have ever been in. Friendly, proper areas for the animals, each with enough space to withdraw when they want. Great layout and so much love in the details! Highly recommended!
Ole G — Google review
I liked the place, easily accessible and with a toddler it was amazing. The larger parks tend to be more stressful and slightly harder to view the animals. None of which I felt at this place. The animals really seem to be loved and cared for by the keepers. A good restaurant, with great food (I ate meatballs of course) A strong 4
Oliver E — Google review
Animals have very big spaces for living and enjoying there lives. There is a big park with trees, tables and cafe. You can make barbeque and have a picnic.

Nice zoo in a pleasant countryside surrounding. Not too many animals, but still enough to get kids up to 9-10 years old entertained. Nice addition to the park is a pool area, which is open during the summer, and included in the ticket price. Entrance fee is a bit on a high side of acceptable.
Michael S — Google review
Very nice animal park with surprisingly many different types of animals. A good visit with the family. We arrived at opening time and very few people there then, so the walk around the park was almost done alone which is nice, as opposed to the commercialised parks.

Skånes Djurpark is a wildlife park that houses over a thousand Nordic animals in naturalistic enclosures. Visitors can enjoy watching majestic elks, spotting foxes hiding in the bushes, and interacting with cuddly animals in the petting zoo. The park also features the world's first Shaun the Sheep theme park and Expedition Up, where wooden bridges allow guests to observe animals from above.
I had a lovely time at Skånes Djurpark! The park is very clean, family-friendly, and the animals have plenty of space. It’s a great place to learn about Nordic wildlife in a natural setting. I especially enjoyed the moose and bear areas. The walking paths are beautiful and peaceful, and there are nice spots to relax or have a picnic. Perfect for a day out in nature! I recommend you buy your tickets online, it's more affordable.
Gizem Y — Google review
Comparative to other zoo in Sweden and this is fairly less entertaining, but there are good number of activities for the kids. They do not have any specific indoor marine or small animals and neither they have big animals like tiger lion elephant rhinos they have bear bison and nothing much fancy, a small dinosaur park is also good to see
Kumar S — Google review
We went before Halloween, the park was decorated very nicely. There was a good atmosphere and we loved the animals. It was a good visit.
Jane V — Google review
Be prepared for a long walk 😊 We couldn't see all the animals but it was worth to visit. Buying the ticket online in advance (not the same day) will make you save a lot.
Turker T — Google review
Very toddler friendly. There is a small Shawn the sheep ride area where you go with a tractor. (They do spray water on you during the trip, its super cute actually) The wall through the park is shaded. The dinosaur area is really cool, the dinosaur make noises and it can be a little bit scary, but is very fun even as an adult.
Adde A — Google review
Nice place, especially for kids, but unfortunately we didn’t see any wolves or bears. Also, since it was a big day (Ebo Day), you could have staffed the food truck with more employees — it’s not reasonable to wait an hour just to get a burger sandwich, especially knowing there would be a large crowd.
Amin A — Google review
Huge beautiful animal park, very nicely maintained. Various species. Restrooms throughout the park. Playgrounds, streetfood and a lot more
Anikó D — Google review
It's a nice place to have a day out in nature. It's all native animals, though, and many of them are nocturnal, so you likely won't see every animal in the park out and about. I really liked the area for the seals, and I thought it was unique in the way that it was set up like a natural pond, rather than something more resembling a swimming pool that you usually see at zoos. It was a very hot day when we came to visit back in August, and the ice cream certainly helped offset some of the heat!

Visitors can start their adventure at the Naturum Visitors Center in Skaralid and explore the diverse landscapes while enjoying beautiful views over the valley.
Absolutely loved the place and they way it is organized. I took the blue path and highly recommend it for a one day visit. Take good shoes (not necessarily hiking ones) as it gets rocky in some places so definitely not sandals or open shoes.

Su H — Google review
We went there on October 24th around 3 p.m. I know it was a bit late, but I only had a short time to see it. The drive to the park was very pleasant, and the parking lots were almost empty. Seeing it in the fall was truly beautiful - so colorful and peaceful. The trees, falling leaves, and the sound of the wind and water created a tranquil atmosphere. I really enjoyed my short visit there and took some amazing photos.

A breathtaking escape into nature! Söderåsen National Park is truly a hidden gem in southern Sweden. The scenery is absolutely stunning—lush forests, dramatic cliffs, and peaceful streams everywhere you look. The hiking trails are well-marked and range from easy walks to more challenging routes, so there’s something for everyone. I highly recommend the Skäralid valley hike and the lookout point at Kopparhatten—the views are unforgettable! The park is very well maintained, with clean rest areas and helpful maps. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing day in nature, a family picnic, or a solo hiking adventure. I left feeling refreshed and recharged. If you’re in Skåne, Söderåsen is a must-visit!

One of the best national parks i have ever been to. The trails are marked well. One can very well rely on the trail signs on the trees to safely complete the trail without getting lost. I had the pleasure of taking the longest route - the blue trail. Its easy for the most part except for few elevations, which tested my endurance. Remainded me why its classified as hard. The lady in the reception was super kind and helped me with her suggestions of the trail.

Visitors can explore the lush greenery, visit the gift shop, or relax at the charming café. The garden is a popular spot for nature enthusiasts and families, providing ample space for leisurely walks and outdoor activities. Despite being particularly picturesque during winter when trees are not in bloom, it remains an enchanting sight to behold.
A beautiful place with a nice array of colourful and diverse flowers. Known to be the biggest botanical garden in Sweden and one of the biggest in northern Europe. What adds a lot to the experience is the small hilltop which offers a great and wide view over this part of Göteborg. It is the perfect place to enjoy a nice summer walk in the pleasant warm (but not hot) nordic summer. Once done with the botanical garden, you can progress for a small walk in the nearby protected national forest. The entrance works on a honour basis, so generally if you don't have any money, you can enter for free, but there is the voluntary option of paying 30kr for entry or donating money via online money transfer methods.

Lund Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks
Lund Cathedral, a renowned Lutheran church in Sweden, is a must-see landmark with its 55-meter-high towers known as Lunna pagar. Dating back to 1145, the cathedral boasts historical treasures like the untouched crypt from 1123 and an astronomical clock from 1380. Designed by architect Helgo Zetterval, the main block features a classical style and faces a charming square. Visitors can also admire the impressive Kungshuset tower nearby.
Lund Cathedral is a must-see if you’re visiting southern Sweden! The architecture is absolutely stunning with it's massive stone towers-seriously impressive! The cathedral really stands out in the center of the city. It's hard to miss. Inside, it's really pretty with its stained glass and a cool astronomical clock located towards the back. Some of the people I met that came out shortly after me said they weren't allowed to see the clock or take pics. I think they start to get strict there on visitors once mass begins. It’s free to enter and is worth a stop in. A memorable landmark in Sweden for sure.
How L — Google review
A beautiful old cathedral built around the 1100s. As with cathedrals back then, there is a crypt where kings and other important people were buried. Another really cool antique is the astrological clock that still works. Amazing place and it is definitely a must visit when in Lund.
C N — Google review
Lund Cathedral isn’t just a place of worship — it’s a cathedral wrapped in Swedish legend, myth, and medieval wonder. From the moment you step inside, you feel the weight of centuries and stories pressing in from the stone walls and shadowy corners. The most fascinating part lies beneath the main floor — the ancient crypt, built in the early 12th century. Here stands the eerie statue of Finn the Giant, said in local legend to have built the cathedral in a single night. When the bishop tricked him out of payment, Finn tried to destroy the cathedral but was turned to stone and now stands silently guarding the crypt. It’s a chilling and unforgettable sight that adds a mythical edge to your visit. Then there’s the astronomical clock, an enchanting medieval timepiece that still functions today. Every day at noon and 3 p.m., you can watch it come to life as the Three Wise Men process before a mechanical Virgin Mary and baby Jesus, while medieval music plays. It’s like stepping straight into a fairy tale. Even if you’re not religious, the deep sense of Nordic lore, mystery, and ancient craftsmanship make this one of the most memorable cathedrals in all of Scandinavia. A must-visit for lovers of legends and the mystical past.

Very historical church , must visit and it’s near to malmo. It’s built in year 1100 and architecture is very beautiful. There is no entry ticket for this church. A very serene place, It is beautiful cathedral built around the 1100s. It was worth the visit for the beautiful stained glass windows and the silence. the offerings of burring the candle was satisfying
Sunil K — Google review
It's a magnificent ancient church that has retained its genius loci. There is an astronomical clock inside which shows not just time but also date and zodiac sign and it chimes, with moving marionettes, at noon. And this is followed by a short prayer and Bible reading, which I very much appreciated. The bookstore across the church yard is also very much worth visiting.
Tomas C — Google review
I really liked it. For a 1000-year-old cathedral, it's very well-preserved. Don't miss the basement, there's a very interesting crypt there.

Besides its historical significance, the church also boasts charming displays, chandeliers, and sacred sculptures that make it a must-see for anyone visiting the area.

St. Peter’s Church is a stunning piece of Gothic architecture and one of Malmö’s true historical gems. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by soaring ceilings, peaceful light, and a sense of calm that immediately makes you pause. The church is beautifully preserved, with detailed brickwork, elegant arches, and centuries of history visible in every corner. The interior feels both grand and intimate, offering a quiet escape right in the middle of the city. It’s the kind of place that invites reflection — whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or simply a moment of peace. St. Peter’s Church is a must-visit landmark in Malmö that perfectly captures the city’s timeless beauty and spirit.

St. Peter’s Church in Malmö is a magnificent example of Brick Gothic architecture. It’s one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions, located right in the heart of Malmö and just a short walk from the central station. The church is large and beautifully designed, offering free entry for visitors. Regular mass services are held in Swedish. While the interior is impressive, there isn’t much historical information or inscriptions available inside, so visitors may want to read up beforehand to fully appreciate its rich past.

The park offers a peaceful retreat with meandering paths for leisurely strolls and opportunities for picnics.
Really nice park in the middle of Malmø and close to Malmöhus Castle. The park provides a good respite from an otherwise busy city, and the old castle complex ensures that there is a lot of wildlife, such as ducks and swans. Really enjoyed visiting the park and will definitely be back when summer comes to Malmö.

What an incredibly nice place in the middle of Malmö. We really like trees and nature so we were really amazed. No entry fee, a lot of benches, delicious ice was offered by a very kind young lady, a lot of water and flowers. We noticed that everything was really clean and tidy, people were kind and friendly. Unfortunately, we have visited Malmö on a public holiday so maybe normally we could see more.

There is a cafe inside by the castle. further down the road there is a outdoor training grounds and a skate park by the water tower, you can lay on the sun loungers that is set up facing the ocean where you can enjoy the view of the beautiful view. Furthermore, there are several places where there is a barbecue (grilling) spots with seats. * for parents or people with kids there are a playgrounds for the little ones down by the beach. Right next to the Citadel is Kaptensgården's sculpture park which is beautiful to walk through and there are many sculptures to look at and enjoy. I fully recommend this city and place.

Nice historic place to visit. Or ofcourse for a "Fika".

Amazing castle with a lot of walking paths around it. People do fish in the water around the castle. There's also a very nice beach close to the castle!

The castle is worth a short walk. We walked arround it, and came to the main yard. It did not managed to keep its original historic buildings, but it was still fun hour spend.
Martynas J — Google review
It's almost look like malmö castle still beautiful. You can definitely spend few hours around citadel and the center. I would recommend to visit the museum nearby. It's a good experience and free of cost.

Ven Island, located just a 30-minute ferry ride from Landskrona city in Sweden, is a popular destination for day trips. Visitors can rent bicycles to explore the island's natural beauty and historical sites. The island offers opportunities for dining, museum visits, and even swimming if the weather permits. It's also possible to stay overnight by camping on the island. With its peaceful atmosphere and scenic surroundings, Ven Island is an ideal spot for a leisurely day of sightseeing and outdoor activities.
Amazing little island! Very coazy, scenic and tranquil. We walked around the island over two days. Not even some rain could ruin the experience.

Very beautiful island, good for family, hiking, cycling, relaxing and everything

I loved this island although we didn’t had too much time to spend on it. It’s the perfect place for somebody looking to have a quiet and relaxing vacation with such a landscape. Everything is well maintained and clean.
Larisa S — Google review
Beautiful island located between Denmark and Sweden. From Sweden we took the ferry from Landskrona, the ride is around 30 min. There are several walking / hiking paths with breathtaking views, but it is also possible to rent a bike, the island is very cyclable. Highly recommend!
Suller M — Google review
SO MUCH FUN! We rented e bikes with baskets on the front for our little ones and off we went! We spent the day biking all over the island and enjoying the museum. A couple playgrounds are there which is great for the kids to get out and play! Small cafe next to the museum is a great place to grab a cold one and grab a bite to eat!
Michael K — Google review
Great day trip! I haven’t biked in a long time, but with the rental bikes it is super easy and comfy. Plus you can walk the island too! If your new to Sweden, don’t buy a transit that includes Venn, you won’t use the public transit there if your biking and this doesn’t include the ferry ticket. I would recommend you previous your bikes, just makes it easier when you get there. It’s a cute island, but make sure to pack a snack and water, as you will want something and your budget might not like the slightly hotter prices of Ven. Overall, a fantastic place to venture too, just wish I would have had more time to see it all. Also a very family friendly place. Just make sure your prepared to bike or pull a bike and kids up some of the steeper grades.
Savannah G — Google review
What an amazing little island. Top secret tip if you are around. Take the ferry and in 30 minutes you are in Ven. Lots of places to stay or just spend the day for biking, walking, chilling on the beach or for enjoying nature. Rent a bike and explore this beauty of nature.

The Little Mermaid

Sculpture
Sights & Landmarks
The Little Mermaid is a famous bronze sculpture in Copenhagen, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's beloved fairy tale. Unveiled in 1913, it sits gracefully on a rock along the waterfront and is a must-see for literature and fairy tale enthusiasts. The site offers serene views of the harbor and appeals to those seeking a contemplative experience. To avoid crowds, visit early in the morning or late afternoon.
The Little Mermaid may be small, but she's full of emotion and history. Sculpted in 1913, she tells the story of love, sacrifice, and longing from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale. Don't just stop for a photo - walk around the area! You'll find the beautiful Gefion Fountain, St. Alban's Church, and cozy cafés nearby. In spring, especially from mid-April to early May, cherry trees bloom along the paths, making it one of the most romantic walks in Copenhagen. A timeless symbol of beauty and reflection.
Tetiana B — Google review
Visiting the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen was a memorable experience. The sculpture itself is smaller than I expected, but it’s beautifully placed by the water and has a certain quiet charm. The surroundings are peaceful, with lovely views across the harbor, and it’s a nice spot for a walk. Even though it can get a bit crowded with tourists, it still feels special to see such an iconic landmark in person. A must-visit if you’re exploring Copenhagen!
Kalina M — Google review
The Little Mermaid – A Symbol of Copenhagen We visited the famous Little Mermaid statue, and while the statue itself is quite small, it’s definitely worth the visit. Nestled along the waterfront, the surroundings are absolutely beautiful, offering peaceful views and a scenic walk leading up to the site. The walk itself is part of the experience – calm, relaxing, and filled with lovely views of the harbour. Do keep in mind that it’s a popular attraction, so it can get quite crowded. If you're hoping for a quieter moment, consider visiting early in the morning or later in the evening. A charming and iconic stop on any Copenhagen itinerary.
Mark H — Google review
Copenhagen in the Spring is a nice, relatively quiet port with mostly the usual features of European / Scandinavian ports. The only unique attraction is The Little Mermaid statue, small but with it's own history of abductions, kidnapping and beheadings. If you're lucky your guide will give you the local story of the Little Mermaid which is more of a Danish Tragedy, so beware of little ears who are enchanted by the Disney version. It isn't magical but it's interesting lore. Here are a few other shots of the city as there are ample and better pictures of the Mermaid than I could get under the lighting conditions.
M H — Google review
The Little Mermaid bronze statue, located in Copenhagen, sits on a granite rock, on the water side of langeline promenade. It is 4.1 ft tall and weighs 175 kgs. The Statue was based on the fairy tale of Hans Christian Anderson and was unveiled to the public in 1913. However, it has now become a target for defacement, due to uncaring attitude of some people, despite attracting those tourist and visitors, who are smitten fairy tale lovers, ofcourse that includes me. I loved her quiet gaze, an unassuming sureness of her existence to continue.
Neeru D — Google review
I visited the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen around dusk since it gets dark early this time of year. It wasn’t crowded, which made it easy to take pictures. There were no tickets or anything like that, you just walk up to it. The statue itself was nice to see in person, though it felt a bit simple to me. Still, it was a fun stop and worth seeing while in the city.
Grace W — Google review
it’s a very beautiful and symbolic statue as the sea wraps around it. around the mermaid there’s also a very nice park with amazing statues and church! there are a lot of people coming there for pictures so be prepared if you come in the afternoon!
Hamy N — Google review
Free activity - a little underwhelming to be honest, it’s also quite far out to the north of the city. If you on a tight schedule probably better to skip but if you have plenty of time & love the Hans Christian Andersen stories then pop past for a photo - there are actually some beautiful sights near the little mermaid which you can enjoy

Church of Our Saviour

Church
Sights & Landmarks
The Church of Our Saviour is a stunning 17th-century Baroque place of worship located in Copenhagen. Its impressive Dutch Baroque architecture features a golden spire and a singing bell tower, adorned with vibrant red and yellow tiles. The church offers one of the best viewpoints in the city, with outstanding panoramic views from the top of its spire. Visitors can embark on an exciting excursion by climbing narrow winding stairs to reach the summit, where they can enjoy breathtaking vistas across Copenhagen.
The Church of Our Saviour is one of Copenhagen’s most famous landmarks and a must-visit if you enjoy history, architecture, and incredible city views. The church itself is beautiful, with a striking baroque interior, but the real highlight is climbing the tower. The spiral staircase on the outside of the spire takes you up high above the city, and the views from the top are absolutely stunning, stretching across Copenhagen and even out to Sweden on a clear day. The climb is steep and narrow in places, and the final stretch on the outside can feel a bit dizzying if you’re not great with heights, but the reward at the top is well worth the effort. It’s best to go on a clear day to really appreciate the panoramic view. The tower can get busy, so going early or outside peak hours makes the experience more enjoyable. Overall, the Church of Our Saviour is an unforgettable stop in Copenhagen. Whether for its history, its unique architecture, or the breathtaking views from the tower, it’s an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
R — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking experience! The Church of Our Saviour is not only a beautiful piece of architecture, but also offers one of the very best views of Copenhagen. The spiral staircase up the tower is a little challenging, but that only makes reaching the top more rewarding. Standing outside on the winding staircase with the city right beneath your feet feels magical. You can see all of Copenhagen – from the canals and colorful houses to the modern skyline. Totally worth the climb, and a must-visit spot if you want a unique perspective of the city!
Kalina M — Google review
Beautiful place! Climbing to the top and amdiring views of the city is one of the nicest experiences in Copenhagen. Important note - there is not only a lot of stairs to the top, but in some moments it's narrow and steep stairs. So it's not so easy to get there, but really worth to visit.
Patrycja Z — Google review
If you see one place for free in Copenhagen, see this church. It's spectacular! If you pay for one sight, pay for the ticket to climb the tower. The views are, quite simply, breathtaking. Outstanding 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
David G — Google review
The church is impressive! Did like it from the outside better than from the inside. There is a movie that is shown and it was disappointing that it was only in Danish. I mean with so many tourists please put English subtitles on. The tower is very impressive and the view real beautiful. But please don’t go up if you have vertigo as it is very high AND NARROW. I did expect some kind of platform on the top but the stairs just got more narrow and more narrow and ended at some point. A bit weird to be honest. For what it is I would say it’s not worth your money. If you have to pay please make it better and also the number of people should be less for one time slot. It’s quite hard to cross paths on those narrow and steep stairs. I do give it 4 stars as it is quite unique!
Tiffany — Google review
I visited only the tower... What a view - just make sure you don't suffer from vertigo and can move agile... The view is spectacular but it's really narrow up there. You might wanna go for sunset. We didn't have wind when I was there but I assume once there is... It's not very hygge...
Sarah J — Google review
The Church of Our Saviour is a stunning Baroque landmark from the 17th century. Its most famous feature is the spiral tower with an external staircase, offering breathtaking views over Copenhagen. Inside, you’ll find a beautiful altar and an impressive organ. At 12:00, there is a live organ performance that lasts for about 30 minutes, creating a truly unique atmosphere. A must-visit for history, architecture, and the unforgettable experience of climbing the spire.
Nataliia H — Google review
Church of Our Saviour – Copenhagen A stunning baroque church with one of the best panoramic views in Copenhagen. The highlight is the climb to the top via a unique external spiral staircase—fun and adventurous, but not for the faint-hearted. With over 400 steps, it’s a bit of a workout, and the narrow, winding paths can be challenging for anyone with vertigo. Entry costs €8, and it's well worth it for the view alone.

Looks exactly like all the photos, lovely area either beautiful danish houses, boutiques and souvenirs. There are nice canal side restaurants, boat rest aired, public benches and live buskers all around so you can do a lot without spending much. Careful not to get run over by bikes!

A very pleasant and lively area. A boat tour is recommended. You can see many places in an hour. I think there are two boat tours. One is very cheap. You should ask about the difference and choose accordingly.

Visited Nyhavn over the weekend and absolutely loved it! 🌈 The colorful houses along the canal look stunning, especially on a sunny day ☀️. Tip: for the best photo, click from the opposite side of the canal 📸. Lined with cozy cafes and restaurants, it’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the cheerful Copenhagen vibes 🇩🇰.
YG T — Google review
Nice view to take pictures. Both side of the canal has dozens of shops to hang out and buy souvenirs. All are expensive then what is priced outside of this zone. There is a big obnoxious ship in the canal and it is hard to take a nice reflective photo with the colorful buildings. That is why I personally like the one in Trondheim Norway.
Tas A — Google review
Lively waterfront with many restaurants! I love the atmosphere but it was very crowded at the same time. We had a Thai food at Charm restaurant close by for dinner and the ice cream for dessert just across the road from Vaffelbageren Nyhavn. It's definitely a lovely place to walk around and soak up the vibe!

Christiansborg Palace is a must-see in Copenhagen, Denmark. It's home to the Danish Parliament, the Prime Minister's office, and the Supreme Court of Denmark. The palace also houses government and judicial offices. Visitors can explore its lavish reception rooms like the Great Hall, Tower Hall, and Oval Throne Room. Don't miss the royal kitchen and the remains of an older castle beneath the main building. The palace has a rich history spanning over 800 years and covers a large area.
I only had time to visit the royal reception rooms and the experience was already beyond my expectation. The Queen's Tapestries at the Knights' Hall were jaw-dropping. 1,100 years of Danish history were woven into 17 colourful tapestries. They were modern and educative. If I had more time, I would spend all day looking at them and try to learn the history/stories in each of them.
Rachel M — Google review
Christiansborg Palace is a historic palace in Copenhagen, Denmark, that now houses the country's three branches of government: the Parliament, the Supreme Court, and the Ministry of State. Once a royal residence, it is open to the public and features attractions like the Royal Reception Rooms, the Royal Stables, and a viewing tower with panoramic city views. Visitors can also explore the underground ruins of earlier castles that stood on the site.
Randy B — Google review
The grand, grandeur and wonderful castle in the heart of Copenhagen. What a splendid way the castle is decorated and preserved and still active. Such display of wealth is dazzling. They have visuals and videos of the historical aspect of the castle. Interesting to go through them and better for kids to enhance their knowledge.
Tas A — Google review
Visiting Christiansborg Palace was one of the highlights of my time in Copenhagen. The palace itself is a beautiful blend of history and functionality, serving as a working government building while also offering visitors a chance to explore royal reception rooms, historic halls, and underground ruins. Walking through the palace felt like stepping through layers of Danish history, where modern governance and royal tradition exist side by side. The climb to the top of the tower was absolutely worth it. The viewing platform offered one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the city. From above, I could see the colorful rooftops, winding canals, and the orderly beauty of Copenhagen stretching in every direction. The view was especially impressive because it felt peaceful and expansive, giving a sense of the city’s balance between tradition, water, and urban life. Christiansborg is a must-see for anyone who wants both rich history and a stunning perspective of Copenhagen from above. It is a perfect combination of cultural depth and unforgettable views.
Jacqueline S — Google review
Christiansborg Palace is a unique and fascinating destination in Copenhagen, blending royal splendor with the seat of modern democracy. It’s one of the only buildings in the world that houses all three branches of a country’s government — the Danish Parliament, Supreme Court, and Prime Minister’s Office — all within a former royal palace. That alone makes it worth visiting. Architecturally, Christiansborg is an imposing and elegant structure built in Neo-Baroque style with touches of Neo-Classicism, especially visible in its formal reception halls. The current palace is actually the third iteration — previous versions were destroyed by fire in 1794 and again in 1884. What you see today is the result of a rebuild completed in the early 20th century, blending old grandeur with modern sensibilities. The tall central tower is the highest in Copenhagen and offers free public access with panoramic city views. Inside, the Royal Reception Rooms are a highlight, especially the Great Hall with its striking modern tapestries depicting Danish history, designed by artist Bjørn Nørgaard. The Queen still uses these rooms for official state functions, adding a sense of living history to the experience. You can also explore the Royal Stables, the Royal Kitchen, and the underground ruins, where remnants of the medieval Bishop’s Castle and earlier palaces have been preserved. In short, Christiansborg may not have the romantic fairy-tale look of some other castles, but it offers something deeper — a powerful connection between Denmark’s royal past and its modern democracy. A rewarding and educational visit, especially for those interested in history, architecture, and politics.
Dmitry Z — Google review
I visit Christiansborg all the time as a local guide, and it’s one of those places that keeps revealing new layers. The palace sits on top of centuries of history. In the 1100s, Bishop Absalon built the first fortress here, and the remains of that medieval castle are still visible in the underground ruins. It’s a pretty wild feeling to walk below the modern parliament and stand inside what used to be Copenhagen’s very first stronghold. On my tours, I often see the royal horses in the courtyard, which always adds a bit of magic. A couple of tips if you go: ride the elevator up to the tower for one of the best panoramic free views in the city, and book a meal at Restaurant Tårnet if you have time. It’s cosy, atmospheric and a fun contrast to the political building beneath you. The museums inside the palace are also worth exploring. The royal reception rooms and the ruins under the building give you a much deeper sense of Denmark’s royal and political history. Overall, Christiansborg is one of Copenhagen’s most iconic landmarks and a must-visit if you want to understand the city properly.
Michael O — Google review

Rosenborg Castle is a well-preserved Dutch Renaissance palace located in the King's Garden, featuring stunning architecture and a rich history. Built in the early 17th century as a summer residence for Danish monarchs, it boasts red brick facades, copper-green roofs, and intricate ornamentation. Today, it serves as a museum showcasing lavish rooms, tapestries, and artwork. The basement houses the Danish Crown Jewels and royal regalia such as crowns and scepters.
Worth to visit. You need to have a half of day to visit them leisurely. Otherwise you have to run and you will miss those. In the castle there are two parts. Furniture, cloths , drawings are in 3/4 floors. Treasury is in the ground. Don’t miss to visit treasure. There is sanitary facilities too They have a garden as well. You can spend the time there. You can buy tickets over the counter. And there are lockers to keep your bags in. You can have the key. It’s free. They dont allow you to go inside with large bags ( even handbag)

Rosenborg Castle is a wonderful place to visit: full of history, charm, and beautifully preserved treasures. The interiors and royal collections are fascinating. However, the exhibition lighting could be improved, as some areas were quite dim and it was difficult to see certain displays clearly. Overall, still a great experience and definitely worth visiting!

Well truely a marvel of the history. Absolutely loved the aura of the castle and its surroundings. There is big park and lake in front of the castle. It is easy to get to the place, thanks to the well connected public transport systems. The architecture of the castle is something that is worth mentioning. I would recommend to read and learn about the history of the palace before visiting it so that you can just relive the past and get a feel of the same. If you are planning to go in a weekend, be prepared to wait for sometime as there would be rush.

Not wheel chair accessible. My first ever Royal Castle. Be prepared for low light conditions. The history is right up and close as I have ever been in a museum setting. So respect the access. I loved looking at all the fine quality work completed by the period artisans and amazing quality especially all the inlay works in wood, tile & gems. Stunning if you live feeling the history. The Royal Treasury is exceptional and shows what was valued and when. Even in October when I went the Gardens were blooming.

Beautiful and well-kept heritage. I tried to visit the day after the Copenhagen half-marathon, but I didn't have time to get tickets online so that I couldn't get inside. I recommend buying tickets in advance. However, upon walking around, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful castles I have seen recently, compared to what I saw in England.
Ivan V — Google review
Cool old castle. Lots of history. Some interesting stuff that you don't normally see in a castle like a farting chair and a king's toilet. This is like the old and more castle-ish version of Danish aristocratic housing. For the real palace feel of the monarchy visit Christiansborg Palace. The royal family actually live in nearby Amelienborg.
Michael L — Google review
Beautiful site and an easy walk from the waterfront. You can also peek at the King’s Gardens out back — immaculately kept, of course. The day pass is worth it for convenient access to the castle. Free lockers are a nice touch, and the guards with bayonets add a bit of royal drama. Inside, the halls are filled with art and artifacts — the grand hall with the thrones and lion statues is a standout. Don’t miss the Crown Jewels in the walk-in vault downstairs, complete with a step ladder for the perfect view. A truly regal visit, well worth the stop.

The Round Tower, also known as Rundetarn, is a remarkable 17th-century structure in Copenhagen. It was originally built as an astronomical observatory and features a unique spiral ramp instead of traditional stairs. Visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the city from this architectural gem while experiencing its rich history. The gradual ascent makes it accessible to all, appealing to history buffs, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone seeking breathtaking vistas of Copenhagen.
Nice view from the top, you can also take a peek into the observatory up there. That's is also a shop with beautifully designed items (notebooks, post cards, posters, etc) that's adjacent to an art school exhibition. Plus you can take a look into the church's attic and learn about historic stuff

Great attraction right in the city center. The ticket costs around €8. The climb is easy, with very few steps, and the views from the top are beautiful — you can see the entire city from above. There’s also a small museum and a small art exhibition inside. I didn’t visit many attractions in Copenhagen, but I’m glad I visited this one.

Not to be missed. The line was short (on a late Saturday morning). Built under the direction of Danish monarch Christian IV between 1637 and 1642, this impressive tower offers stunning views of the København skyline along with the Øresund Bridge and Sweden in the distance. There are stairs only at the top; the sloping ascent made it possible for Christian IV to view his realm while riding in his carriage.
John Q — Google review
Beautiful building and it was awesome that the tower's path is the slope so it was such a nice way to travel up and down the building, I love it! Fantastic view of the city skyline at the top with a cool astronomy tower within ☀️🌙⭐🔭 There are bathrooms, shop, and gallery half way up the path. You can find a little details about the building and a replica look like it made from cork. Also an art gallery at the shop. The old bathroom was very small and interesting 😁 The final path way up the Round tower is a narrow tight space stairs so you have to wait for the lights to go up and come back down as there is only enough space for a one way traffic. It took up about an hour to get up, look around, and come back out. Definitely a recommendation of things to do in Copenhagen!
Penny G — Google review
A nice walk up the round tower! Not staircases, just a walkway like walking or driving up a multi-story parking. 😃 lovely 360 views at the top if the weather permits. Lucky when we went it was dry and sunny so it was just perfect!
