Clean and quiet beach. Sand! Not rocks. Chairs with umbrellas to let. Not much parking. The water is beautiful.

This is for the south nudist section of Scala around the large rocks. Mid Sept and and the beach was great. Late Sept 2025 and the beach was getting pretty well destroyed by the storm. Was small pebbles and loads of fish for snorkelling. Also easy to swim around to Spithi and Λουτράκι Παραλία FKK the next beach along which are both nudist. Spithi is not good but Λουτράκι Παραλία FKK is huge and great. Those are quite difficult to get to direct as the car parking is severely limited.

Long beach clear water stones and sand mostly stones. You'll need water shoes as its very stoney. But it's a beautiful beach we just laid our towel on stones and sat Dippin feet. Skala is a long beach so plenty of space you can hire deck chairs or sunbeds and umbrella if you wish. You can sit close to or far away from water sports the 1 place on beach for watersports is amazing and super friendly. No pressure from them either if u do sit close by.

Lovely beach, would recommend sea shoes as it stoney!! But once tour in its ok, it's also a bit of a drop off, 6 feet in and your chest deep. But still lovely

Beautiful beach with a relaxed vibe — I stayed at the 9 Musses Hotel beach, where a set (2 sunbeds and a large umbrella) goes for €12. The water was refreshing but not too cold, and while water shoes aren’t a must, they could come in handy since the beach is a mix of small rocks and sand. The beach bar menu had all the classics you’d expect, and I’d personally recommend the Margarita pizza — simple and tasty. Prices were very reasonable. It’s a great spot to spend the day soaking up the sun, and if you feel like grabbing dinner or going for a nice stroll, the charming town of Skala is just above the beach, offering a lovely walking area and plenty of restaurants to explore.

I loved ot!!! Nice, clean, long....enteance is nice...who likes snorkling it is greqt...there is lots of fishes...lots of bars if you like that and lots of place for intimacy if you are not for sunbeds and restaurants

Very very big and nice beach which honestly surprised me. Great water, sand is mixed (probably imported). Nearby hillside with parking is gorgeous with a really beautiful small city. Road from Argostoli to here is nicer and easier to drive then going to north or east side of island.

Epic views, spacious beach with colder than usual waters. Expect it to be extra crowded during high season. A victim of its own success. I visited during a weekend in mid August, after 18⁰⁰ and it was epic.

Beautiful beach, was not that crowded. The access is easy by car or motorcycle and the parking fee was 2€. The water was warm and waves not that big, so you could also swim safely.

My favorite beach on the whole island. Parking is 10 euro but is near the beach. The water is turquoise. It’s a big beach and even with a lot of people is not so full. Food available near the parking lot. You can see a lot of small beautiful fishes if you like diving. I was there in the end of September.

Mesmerizing! The parking is 10 euro, there is a place to eat, plenty of spots to park your car. We went off season and the beach was not overcrowded. The water was cristal clear. The beach itself was also very clean.

One of the prettiest beaches (if not the best on the island). You can park for free on the road, as many people do, parking is 10€ nearby but it gets crammed. The beach gets crowded but you can always find spot. There are no sunbeds to rent (late September). The stairs are not difficult to use, and many people are stopping on them to take pictures of the beach.

Stunning beach with the most blue water I have seen anywhere in the world! Pay for parking in the lot about 10 euros or free parking just outside of the area. The drive was windy and narrow but incredibly cool! Don’t go too fast and risk it. Food and drinks are sold before you go down to the beach, there are no services available on the beach itself.

End of season perfect shore, came here in the afternoon and didn't need shade, probably better to bring it in high season... Beautiful with magical waters

A very nice beach. The water was very nice and warm. Parking was free on the side of the road and there was plenty of space for public or private beach. It is worth a visit here.

Incredible beach with all shades of blue color water of the sea. Waves are large and increasing with each hour until evening. There are restaurants, wc, parking and shower , umbrella and beds. We took parking under cower with two beds and umbrella 15 euro all. On the beach there is savior. On the sea must be careful, beach It starts with sand - finely ground pebbles, and then large stones in the water. You must go to the water without everything- sunglasses, shoes , hat, because everything will change and you won't notice . On this beach you do not need swimming mask . Magnificent picture all around there. The horizon is incredibleand so endless.

Beautiful beach, but very crowded in the season. There is almost always wind and waves, so you can forget about the heat. This beach is not for non-swimmers and small children. It is recommended to try paragliding.

Most easiest access to the beach with all comforts when you choose between Egremni, Porto Katsiki and Katishma. Also includes beach clubs, restaurants and different activities 😊

Kathisma is one of the most beautiful beaches on Lefkada and definitely worth visiting. The beach is long and wide, with plenty of space to find a good spot. Sunbeds are around 20€ for the ordinary ones, or 25€ for the wooden set with parking included, which is very convenient since parking can get busy in high season. The beach itself has small smooth pebbles instead of sand, which makes the water crystal clear. After just a few steps it gets deeper, so be careful if you’re not a strong swimmer. The waves are usually big and fun, great for people who enjoy a bit of adventure in the sea. There are also water sports available for those looking for more activities. Restaurants and bars are located right by the beach, offering food and drinks throughout the day. Overall, it’s a lively beach with good facilities, beautiful scenery, and a bit of everything – relaxation, fun, and comfort.

Sky blue waters, The water was murky and the mask didn't work. The beach was fine sand and for some like me it is not comfortable. You can bring your own umbrella or you can pay sunbeds. There was a lot of free parking but also private parking 5€/day. You need to get up early 9-9.30am to be at the place if you are looking for free :) The locals told me that you have to be carefoul when its windy and there are bid waves bcs some people has lost their lives! Meanwhile you can do paragliding there. Bars and restaurants was close by.

This is a truly surreal and stunning experience. Highly recommend at least once on your life. We took a tour bus which on total is a 11 hr day but totally worth it with no hassle. Costs £5 each to enter each mosque.

Great place for a day trip. If you are driving, you will enjoy the wide and safe road. You can go to the top by driving your car. Hiking route is also available. Overall, the scenic view is breathtaking and humans capability of building churches and residences are absolutely surreal!

An amazing experience - far exceeded our expectations. We visited St Nicholas & Varlaam monastries. St Nicholas was small with lots of steps but was fantastic. Not very busy. Varlaam was larger & easier to access. The art work in both is stunning. Having a guide to explain was useful. The views are breathtaking.

We absolutely loved the visit to Monasteries in Meteora. It was so peaceful! We visited two - one with Monks and second with Nuns. Both were equally beautiful and well maintained. Views from these locations were breathtaking!! 😍😍

Amazing view, don't miss the monastery itself, they want 5 euro for adults, kids up to 6yo are free. notice they want cash, but accept cards too. it's beautiful inside, very interesting. 1 hour easy, take your time.

I wonder who put less than 5 stars. I visited many beautiful places and I lived in Rome, but I have rarely been as speechless as here. Simply wonderful! I took hundreds of pictures from every angle. A must-see!!!

I was overwhelmed!!! The unique beauty of the area topped off with the monasteries on top of the unique rock formations was breathtaking. We hired a guide and went as early as possible. Dress code for men and woman to enter the monastery. 5€ to enter each one. A couple are a lot of climbing up stairs.

Beautifull place with nice water and rocks! In the beginning it’s really cold but if u mostly be in the water it will be less bad. Definitely reccomend!!!

An impressive place, definitely worth visiting and a person to experience their own adventure. You need aqua shoes because the water is quite cold, as well as a dry bag for luggage, they are sold in the parking lot. In places the water is deep, but everyone can explore as far as they want. They offer a variety of adventures, horseback riding, kayaks and boats on the river.

Lovely place with stunning, picturesque sites, definitely worth visiting. But the river is freezingly cold, literally could not keep my feet in it for more than ten seconds. Rafting is a must and we chose the first one to offer us this, at the very beginning of the tourist site. All in all, really well-organized, and definitely we will come again some day, just fully- equipped next time, to be able to explore more of the canyon.

The best excretion in the area... One of the best rivers to walk and swim in Greece... Really worth the visit and try some of the activities in the river like horse riding, zip line, cayak etc.... Highly highly recommended really impressed with the area...suitable for all ages from very young children

"Are you far from the river?". Our trip to the River Acheron was the highlight of our recent holiday in Parga. It is a truly extraordinary experience which I will never forget. The water is refreshingly cold and it gets so deep at points at the Gorge that you may have to swim. There is also rafting, kayaking and horse riding. There are plenty of places to eat in Acheron, beautiful open-air stores and bathroom facilities.

Life changing experience. Be prepared for cold swims and a bit of climbing. Bring swimming shoes though, or buy some before entering! Truly an incredible experience that everyone should go through at least once in their life.

Beautiful place not to be missed if you’re nearby

On the one hand, you must go here when visiting Thessaloniki. It is the most famous landmark of the city and has a lot of history attached to it. On the other hand, it is rather expensive (at €8) for what is a relatively small (but interesting) museum. But I have to say that the views from the top are terrific. So Yes - go!

A wonderful place to visit! The White Tower is full of history and beautifully presented inside with clear displays and interactive exhibits. The climb to the top is easy, and the view over Thessaloniki and the sea is absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a must-see landmark when visiting the city!

Excellent attraction..6euro entry p.p. The walk up tonthe top with its several rooms and chambers along the way was really well worth it. You could easily spend 2 hours here going through the various write-ups & history. Some audio on English via your phone was available at key points. The views from the top are amazing. You see the length & breadth of the coast line and nearby hils. Apparantly you can see Mt. Olympus on a clear day...we were not so lucky.

This is a must when visiting Thessaloniki! The ticket is 6€ and children under 18 don't pay the ticket. This isn't just a place where you go for the view from the top (even though it's very beautiful), but it's also a museum. You have a couple of stops before you reach the top where you can learn more about the history lf Thessaloniki. You also get a free audio guide available in many languages free of charge! I couldn't recommend this place enough.

The White Tower of Thessaloniki is A MUST monument-museum-attraction to start, when visiting the city. Start with just inhaling and enjoyig from outside the spirit of the place.(White tower is a starting stop and for the Cultural line 50 - the local tourist live guided bus tour -2€ regular fee (https://www.oasth.gr/en/tourism/cultural-route). Entering inside the museum (6€ regular ticket) you can select from 13 languages in which to learn and understand better the history, culture, life, culinary, evolution of the city during your way up trough the seven levels to the top. The observation terrace is a perfect selfie's spot and also a greate way to orientate yourself in the next directions trough your journey felling in love with Thessaloniki... Enjoy!

A must place to visit if in town for the first time. The tower is multi leveled with each level having an exhibition of the city's history. It's not tiresome to climb as there are no steep steps and you have to stop to see the exhibits. At the top one can enjoy the excellent view of the city and the bay. There is also a museum shop that was not operating on the day we visited.

Τhis famous Aristotelous Square is a 20th century square in Thessaloniki, Greece designed by the French architect, Ernest Hébrard and built after the great fire of 1917. It's a nice place to walk, especially when it's sunny. There are lots of delicious coffees and food options for breakfast. It looks nice at night as well, close to everything

Our hotel overlooks Aristotle Square, which is a huge public square lined by various restaurants; and which appears to be a major ‘go to’ place for locals and visitors alike. Very popular as the heat of the day dissipates.

A beautiful and lively spot in the heart of Thessaloniki! The square has lovely architecture, great cafés, and an amazing sea view. It’s perfect for a walk, coffee, or just relaxing and watching the city life. Especially nice in the evening when the lights come on. Definitely worth a visit!

Aristotle Square is a beautiful place. The crowd is quite crowded. It's close to the sea. It has its own flair. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Thessaloniki.

Beautiful place plus you got the Kapani Market and crazy amount of gift shops to buy cute gift for everyone back home. Kapani Market is closed on Sundays.

One of the best museums we ever visited! And we visited a lot! Presentation, location, historical significance, atmosphere! And artefacts!! Just WOW! The whole story... It's like it's all just a myth! But it's real!! And unfolding in front of your eyes - in such a unbelievable beauty, preserved like it's untouched... One of these things needed to be seen to be believed - and when you see it, it's almost unbelievable :D

I visited the site of the Royal Tombs of Aigai in Vergina and the nearby museum, which is located about one kilometer away: I started from the underground complex, where I spent an hour and a half among burial chambers adorned with frescoes and grave goods such as jewelry, ceremonial weapons, and pottery, which showcase the craftsmanship and religiosity of the Macedonians in conceiving the passage to the afterlife and a short introductory video that contextualizes the archaeological discoveries. Afterwards, I reached the separate Museum, dedicating about an hour to its exploration: the spaces are organized with essential captions and 3D reconstructions. For Italians over 18, the ticket costs 20 euros per person, while those under eighteen enter for free; the price may seem high, but it includes access to all rooms and enriches the visit with multimedia insights. Also included in the price is a museum detached from the tomb structure, located roughly 1 km away. I appreciated the cleanliness and the calibrated lighting that highlights the details of the artifacts, even though at first it may seem a bit excessive (the rooms are completely dark except for the area where the artifacts are to be admired), without causing discomfort to the eyes, and the accessible path with multilingual panels (English, Greek). I recommend inquiring privately for a guide, if you want one, because the facility does not provide it. Overall, it is a vivid and engaging

Here is the magnificent tomb of Philip II as well as the famous golden urn and other valuable personal belongings of the great King of the Macedonians. The unique frescoes like the vivid representation of the Abduction of Persephone, reveal the achievements in the arts and painting during the years of reign of the glorious Macedonian Kingdom.

Stunning place, recreated in the same underground tomb where it was discovered. Extraordinary, detailed recreation of a myriad pieces found. Perhaps the best designed museum in Greece.

Must visit! This tomb left me speechless. The museum guide made the tour twice as interesting with his attitude to the history of this great ruler and all the details he mentioned to us in addition. Thank you!

A unique experience that not only showcases in a mystic way masterpieces of ancient craft, but also takes you in a detailed journey through the burial rights of ancient Macedonians. And let’s not forget that this is the place where one of the most significant figures of the ancient world was buried and everything is connected to Alexander the Great! Definitely a must see and should be combined with the royal palace and the new museum.

Wonderful museum with incredible exhibits! The light work is fantastic and makes you see the exhibits in detail. The ticket costs 20 euros but you use the same for the Polycentric museum which is about 1 km away. It's worth a visit like nothing else!

I recommend having a tour guide give you the history of this place. The statues around the villa are awesome. Give yourself an hour maybe a little more to go through this site.

Unfortunately the Palace itself was closed for renovations during our visit. However, we were able to explore the grounds which are beautiful and have amazing views. Disappointing we had to pay full entry fee for half of the experience.

Nice gardens, spectacular views and the gardens refurbishment is looking good. The building is not much more than 100 years old and is currently closed. The building must have looked impressive in it's heyday but has been neglected for a long time so is in a really poor state of repair. I felt quite sad to see it like this and expect a lot of time, money and skill will be needed to bring it back to it's former glory. Worth a visit but manage your expectations accordingly.

Beautiful place to visit and visit the Muses, as well as Achilles. ❤️ The building itself is currently being updated though, so you can't go in. The Gardens and statues are absolutely gorgeous though and it overlooks the city in the distance.

The garden was beautiful. Unfortunately the place is closed due to refurbishment. But there are couple of screens set up around the gardens where you can watch history of Sissi. You have to go and see massive statue of Achilles with a stunning view that will leave you speechless. Tickets for adult was €7 (only garden)

The Achilleion Palace on Corfu looks serene under a cloudy sky. Its neoclassical walls and statues blend with the soft gray light, giving the place a quiet, timeless charm.

Beautiful location with imposing statues. The interior was closed at the time of our visit but I enjoyed seeing just the gardens for a slightly reduced fee.

The place is amazing, full of history, and it has a very unique charm. The only thing I missed was a little shop or a refreshment stand… The area is quite large, so I would have appreciated some place to buy water or a small snack😊

We visited Butrint National Park and were truly impressed – it’s a beautiful and enchanting place full of history. However, I left with the feeling that more investment is needed in the park. There’s still so much to be discovered, with some monuments partially buried or even underwater. It’s a site with huge potential that deserves more preservation and attention. I also think guided tours inside the park would be a great addition – I would happily pay to learn more about its rich and fascinating history!

I was hesitant to visit because of the summer heat, but the park is surprisingly shaded, and there's a lovely breeze from the water that keeps things comfortable. The archaeological site is fascinating, with explanations at each part of the monument to guide you through. It takes about an hour to walk around, and while some paths are a bit steep, it’s manageable, just be sure to wear good shoes. The views are stunning, especially from the acropolis. Don’t miss the walk up, it gives you a breathtaking view of the entire site.

Well worth the visit. The ancient city has a ton of history from greek, roman, ottoman and venetian times. Mix of ancient ruins and more recent castles. Unfortunately no turtles there in early October

Very interesting peninsula with many ruins of Ancient Greek, Roman and Medieval structures, highlighting the historic meaning of Butrint. The visit takes about 2-3 hours and despite the heat, it was still manageable thanks to the abundance of shade. Highly recommended to visit when you are in the south of Albania

Lovely place to walk and visit with a lot of history! As you spend some time here, would have been nice to be able to get a drink or a snack but there was no place to get at least a bottle of water. Make sure you bring something to drink or snack with you.

Fascinating place if you like history. I walked here one morning (slightly accidental as I was only supposed to stroll to the bay near my hotel but missed my turn). Spent a couple of hours wandering around the old ruins. It’s lot bigger than I expected and well worth the 1000 lek/10€. Traffic was gridlocked at the entrance / little ferry when I left though. Pleased I walked it despite the heat. It’s worth parking at the top in car park over looking the bay and walking the last bit

Had a great 6 nights here. Got a west-facing room and just about managed to see some sunsets (due to time of the year!). Breakfast had nearly everything you could want. Staff were excellent. Pool was nice. Location of hotel was perfect. Watch out for mosquitos at night and have breakfast inside if you can to avoid the wasps! Didn't have dinner here but the pool menu was more expensive than I expected - although similar to bars/restaurants nearby. Would return

A really good hotel with beach access, nice swimming pools and great views on both sides. I would say it is good value for money for what you get. The breakfast buffet is endless with a huge variety of good quality options (one small thing - it would have been nice to have fresh fruit juice, not concentrate). We had a superior bay view room, we were a little disappointed with the view as it was restricted so I would recommend a sea view room instead. Overall though a great place and we’d stay again

Beautiful! Love the calm vibe. The hotel has two sides with equally gorgeous views. Access to the beach is down many steps so may not suit some. The Rocky beach was more secluded and great for snorkelling, access to water from a ladder! Main beach is beautiful and accessible from hotel terraces that are never too busy. Rooms are clean and love the Olivia Thinks shampoos and body lotions. Breakfast included and something for everyone’s tastes.

Excellent experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff extremely polite, and the stay comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely visit again. We were absolutely satisfied. The cleanliness, tranquility, and service exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it. A wonderful place to relax and unwind. The attention to detail and the kindness of the staff make all the difference. We can’t wait to return.

Totally worth it! Rooms are lovely and the staff is so incredibly helpful and wonderful. And of course, the cliffside sunbathing area is just to die for. Totally lived up to the photos and hype. I was out there everyday having the time of my life. Reading and swiming in the water all day long. Playing in the near by sea caves, and snorkeling and enjoying the sea life. The food here is wonderful! Make sure to get the half board, it's totally worth it. Also, make sure to make an appt to eat at their bar, food was phenomenal! My husband and I rented a car while here, but there is a bus that run from the Hotel to Corfu all day long. And it hardly costs anything. We actually used it to go into Old Town so we wouldn't have to worry about parking. The only complaint is that people will go put their towels down by the rocks, and leave them there for hours. Taking up the few sun bathing beds there are in the cliffside. I wish the staff would oversee that area. The rest of the resort has signs that say if you leave your things in attended for 30 min, they will be removed. People would put their towels out and disappear for 2 hours for breakfast, then for a couple hours again for lunch. I thought it was rude! I always would take my towel with me when I left and offer my seat to someone else. Trying to hog a spot seemed so awful and just plain selfish. Especially as there were times I would come and go and the entire time the person who's spot was saved, was never there! Literally, once I noticed for 3 hours a couple didn't show up. Even though other couples came and went hoping for a spot.

Outstanding experience. Celebrating anniversary and were upgraded. From the modern, zen-inspired design and furnishings in suite, the incredible views from most everywhere in hotel, the friendliness of the hard working staff, wonderful breakfast offerings to the personal touches we enjoyed like our immaculately cleaned suite (thanks Maria!) and beautiful towel art. We also received a few special gifts from the staff for our anniversary. In my family’s many years of travel, we have never encountered such care and attention to detail as we did at Akrotiri Beach Resort and the next time we are privileged enough to visit Corfu again, we will absolutely be sure to stay here again. Thanks for such a wonderful stay❤️

This hotel is beautiful. The only “negative” I would say is that there are a lot of stairs in order to reach the beach. I would be concerned with how elderly or people with disabilities would be able to access the beach. The staff is incredibly nice. The rooms are very clean. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. A buffet breakfast is available from 7:45-10:45 with my stay. There are restaurants within walking distance! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

swam here in October. made it over to the rocks. 15 minute swim across choppy waters... safe as long as you are a strong and confident swimmer. also swam through the cave which is a bit rough but easier if you swim with the incoming tide and not against it. my pictures were taken from the offshore rocks so unique vantage point

I LOVED this spot. I came at 5pm and it was perfect. The sun was hot, but I never needed sunscreen. The water was refreshingly cold and serene. There are many places to lay around on the rocks. I never even went down to the sandy 🏖️ beach as it was way too overcrowded. There are so many fun places to jump into the water, little caves to swim inside of or climb onto. The view is spectacular. There is free public parking right at the entrance.

We were there at 7 in the evening. The waves were very big, and by then only a few people were swimming. The sun shines beautifully there, it’s a great spot for photos. Definitely check it out if you’re in Corfu. The water is murky for swimming, but the view from above is stunning.

The canal is really nice and worth a visit. It can get a bit crowded (as expected), but still enjoyable. I’d recommend spending a few hours here to take in the atmosphere before heading to one of the many nearby beaches.

Canal d’Amour – A Natural Masterpiece in Corfu Visiting Canal d’Amour in Corfu was like stumbling into a dream-landscape of sea, stone, and legend. From the moment I arrived, I felt its magic — the way the sunlight strikes the sandstone cliffs, the narrow channel carved by wind and waves, the promise of romance woven in every ripple. This place isn’t just a beach; it’s an immersive moment in nature’s artistry. First, the setting: Canal d’Amour is on the north-western coast of Corfu, near the village of Sidari between Sidari and Peroulades. The location is quite accessible by car or taxi, with nearby parking — though during the busy season you’ll want to arrive early to avoid the crowds. What makes Canal d’Amour truly special are the rock formations. Sheer sandstone cliffs sculpted over centuries have created a channel and several small coves and caves. Natural arches, tunnels, small lagoons, all of them bathed in crystalline, turquoise water that invites you to swim, snorkel, explore. Legend enhances the atmosphere: swim through the channel with someone you love, they say, and your bond will last forever. It’s romantic, playful, maybe a little cheesy — but I loved every bit of that folklore. The beach area itself is relatively small, which gives it charm but also poses limitations. At times the shore is crowded, towels and umbrellas packed in tightly, especially in peak summer. There’s beauty in that shared enthusiasm, but also moments when you have to compete with others for a good spot. If possible, go early in the morning or later in the afternoon when the light is softer and the crowds ease up. Amenities are pretty good. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, nearby tavernas and cafés where you can grab something to eat or drink, restrooms, places to change. It’s not ultra-luxurious, but everything you need for a comfortable visit is there. One of my favorite moments was exploring the sea caves and the small bays. Swimming under rock overhangs, peering into caverns, feeling the water shift from calm and shallow to deeper blue as you move away from the shore. The views from above are just as striking: walking along the rock edges, looking out over the sea and cliffs, and watching the sun set — that golden hour is unforgettable. If I had to sum it up: Canal d’Amour is more than a photo-op — it’s nature, story, and landscape fused in one place. It’s not perfect (crowds can be a downside, the beach small), but those imperfections don’t erase the wonder. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Corfu. Go with open eyes, a spirit for adventure, and maybe someone you care about — the legend says it matters 😉.

The Canal d’Amour, or “Channel of Love,” is a famous natural attraction near the town of Sidari on the northern coast of Corfu. It consists of unique sandstone cliffs and narrow coves carved by the sea, creating small, intimate beaches and crystal-clear waters. According to local legend, couples who swim through the canal together will stay in love forever, which adds a romantic charm to the place. The scenery is striking, with golden cliffs, turquoise water, and hidden corners perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or simply enjoying the sun.

A coastal feature a.k.a the Canal D'amour. The soft shale or a similar rock type is being eroded by the waves to expose the coloured strata and form a little canal and larger bay.

We were there at the last week of the season, therefore didn’t have any questions. Everything was so fast, easy and relaxed. Cards are in good condition. Dont get the ones with ads on cause you cant see and enjoy the view 😂 We took half day tickets (from 12.30 till 16.00). It was more than enough since it wasn’t crowded. Ticket office and the machines are the same prices. There are stairs to go up very hard to walk would be nice to have a lift.

Extremely long cues, up-to 2 hours in the morning. To save time buy the VIP to use the back entrance, or, take the taxi to the top, or, arrive after the morning rush! There are also long cues to come down as the sun starts to set. Beautiful ride to the top

Absolutely great. I'm over 75, have difficulty walking and for 1Lv had a Gondala pass (same for my assisting daughter). The Gondala staff not only stopped the Gondala so I could get on but messaged ahead to the other end so they would do the same.

It's a gondola.... We were in Bansko week before Feb half term and after 9am it was mega busy, 30 minutes wait minimum if you don't have the magic queue jump pass. Runs all day up and down with a mid station stop at Chalin Valog. Takes about 29mins to reach the top. Tickets bought via crystal Ski so can't comment on the usual cost.

Incompetent system to transfer people to the ski zone. The queue may take up to 3 hours. Second lift shall be in service at earliest. Although they charge 50€ per day, the quality does not match the expectation. There are alternative queues (so called Vip line and Ski school) inside gondola station, this is the reason why you wait too long outside. Apart from that, slopes are surrounded with pine trees and the lifts uphill are relatively less busy.

Incredibly beautiful spiritual site, highly recommended visiting if you’re in the area and can easily make a day trip out of it from Sofia! So much history in this site, the Monastery is free to enter but I would recommend a guided tour for a rich experience.

Beautiful Monastery and beautiful surrounding. The road from Rila to Monastery was magical as forest around this Autumn was like fairy tale. It was on and off rain so not many tourists came (perfect!). You are not allowed to take photos inside the church and walk into the residential area. Entry is free (not sure about museum as I didn’t get in)

Inside the church, the frescoes are extraordinary and worth taking your time to appreciate. The surrounding nature is equally impressive; the fresh mountain air and quiet trails make the whole visit feel rejuvenating. Parking and access are straightforward, and there are small shops nearby with local treats and souvenirs. A must-visit if you’re in Bulgaria—both for its history and its serene atmosphere.

Rila Monastery is about a 1.5-hour drive from Sofia, nestled deep in the mountains. It’s best to go by car — the road is easy and takes you through stunning scenery. Plan to spend around two hours at the monastery itself, plus extra time to explore the surrounding area. The complex is breathtaking — beautifully preserved and full of history. Don’t miss the small museum and the icon exhibition next to it. From the courtyard, the colorful buildings set against the mountain backdrop are truly spectacular. Behind the monastery, you’ll also find a restaurant and a few souvenir shops. It’s worth arriving early — I got there around 10 a.m., when it was still peaceful, but by 11:30 the tour buses start to arrive and it gets crowded.

Really beautiful monastery. Wonderful endless murals right outside of the church. Free to enter (didn't try to visit the museum) You need to pay for the parking lot, 5 leva (~2.5 euro). The road to reach it was very nice, some parts alongside the river, made a great photo stop as well

The monastery is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The entrance fee is €2.5, but we didn’t have to pay as they let us in for free. What felt strange to me is that everything around the monastery is a beach and swimming area, so people come into the monastery courtyard dressed inappropriately, loud and disrespectful. I believe this should be addressed in a better way for those who visit the monastery for spiritual reasons, so their peace is not disturbed

located at the bottom end of Lake Ohrid. free parking is available. plenty of gift shops and restaurants the monastery itself is nice and pleasant with some in frescos but isn't anything amazing. there is a nice beach area and the "springs" with boat trips.

Really beautiful spot! There are a couple of nice places to walk around with multiple chapels on the property, all of which are lovely. Don’t miss St. Naum’s tomb where you can hear his heart beating 1100 years later. Also some great little shopping spots for Ohrid pearls and filigree art.

Beautiful and fairly affordable to visit! Definitely warrants a full day trip to enjoy the whole area tho! You only pay the parking fee while entering by car. There are small shops with gifts, souvenirs, food/water and beach amenities. Two big restaurants and paid toilets by the entrance. The surroundings are beautiful and the history is also interesting. Make sure to visit before noon to enjoy it better with less people tho. If you plan to visit the sandy beaches too there are paid loungers at the main part of the monastery grounds, but if you want a more calmer environment you can go by the monastery, to the ‘’beach saint naum’’ where you pay an entrance fee but have a calmer beach in return. You can also try the boat tour around the crystal clear springs.

Beautiful place in Ohrid. It feels like you are living during the medieval times. The castle is still intact from the time it was built, it’s a place of it’s own. Some peacocks wander outside of the monastery, it’s possible to visit the inside of the monastery which is considered a sacred place, as sveti naum (saint naum) is buried there. Absolute banger

We're at this Lake Ohrid in late February this year. We took a cruise about an hour exploring the lake. After that we walked surrounding the area for souvenirs. There are many shops selling freshwater pearls.

Lake Ohrid is among the most visited places in North Macedonia, and for good reasons. It is simply captivating, from the bustling town of Ohrid to the magnificently blue and crystal clear waters of the lake. As one of the oldest and deepest lakes in Europe, it is hard not to feel the influence the lake has on the surrounding area. With its unique ecosystem, impressive Byzantine-era structures, and UNESCO status, Ohrid city as well as Lake Ohrid are truly one of the Balkan region’s highlights. A boat cruise around the lake is much recommended, cos’ this is how you can watch can admire the stunning Ohrid city skyline, as well as see some of the buildings and structures perched on the hills by the side of the lake. An amazing experience indeed to be on the boat, cruising around the lake. Grateful to have arrived here, and wish to come again if I have the opportunity.

It’s a pearl of the region. Scenic views, awesome nature. This is the deepest and the oldest lake on Balkans. During our stay the weather changed every hour from heavy rain to sunny weather and than again rain… You can rent a boat and see it’s nature from the water.

The most ancient lake in Europe, situated on the border between the southwestern region of North Macedonia and eastern Albania. We were on the Albanian side. Encircled by mountains, the lake boasts pristine, crystal-clear waters. The serene ambiance of the lake, coupled with the breathtaking panoramic view of the encompassing mountains, offers a welcome respite from the demands of everyday busy life.

There’s not much to see at all… until you enter inside the church (for a fee)! To be honest, I don’t think I would have been able to appreciate as much the inside as well, if we didn’t have an actual tour guide to explain things. Do note that the interior of the church is small. And entry inside is timed by the caretaker to 8~10minutes per group. The main attractions were seeing the three parts of the church and the many beautiful frescoes inside which told so many different stories - interestingly, both Biblical and of the local history of the region. The small church itself is located in the compound of a botanical garden, but the garden itself didn’t seem to have anything unique about it. Boyana Church is one of Bulgaria’s 10 UNESCO Wolrd Heritage Sites.

WOW. Absolutely stunning! Talk to the kind, gentle and knowledgeable guide inside and he will explain the frescos, the history, the significance. You're supposed to only get 10 minutes, but as there was no one waiting to come in we chatted for about half an hour. An absolute gem of a place and we'll worth a short ride out of the city. The area is lovely to walk and perhaps head up the mountain too.

A must-see in Sofia! Boyana Church is absolutely stunning — the frescoes are breathtaking and incredibly well-preserved. It’s amazing to see such important medieval art up close. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by trees, and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. A true UNESCO gem and a highlight of my visit to Sofia!

Peaceful and beautiful monastery This monastery is truly a hidden gem – peaceful, green, and with a calming, almost spiritual atmosphere. The architecture is stunning, and the whole area feels very well preserved and serene. Just behind the monastery, there’s also a trail that leads into the forest – a perfect spot for a quiet walk in nature. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax, reflect, and enjoy some beautiful scenery.

The frescos are amazingly well preserved, and some brief context is given at the start of the 10 minute viewing window. Kind of a trek out ~50 min from the historic old town/Serdika area but easy to get to with public transit. Worth going to especially if paired with the national history museum that’s a 20 min bus away. There is some uphill walking. I recommend in the morning as only ten people are in at a time, so when you arrive and buy a ticket, you then wait for however many sets of 10 mins until everyone in front of you has gone in. They make sure you have a ticket but not what time, so make sure to stand in line at the church or else others can pass you

Even if you have only 10min inside it’s worth it! You need to experience the frescoes in person, they’re simply breathtaking.

This is a short visit but an opportunity to see remaining frescoes in the church. You can see 3 transitions of the building from outside, and the grave of a notable leader.

The architecture is undeniably interesting, with its narrow cobblestone streets, old stone buildings, and remnants of a bygone era that give it a certain historical allure. The preserved shops, caravanserais, and traditional facades offer a glimpse into Skopje’s past, and for history buffs, this could be a highlight. However, the atmosphere is marred by issues that make it hard to enjoy. The area is overcrowded with gypsies, some of whom engage in persistent begging that feels intrusive and, at times, intimidating. This detracts significantly from the experience, turning a leisurely walk into a stressful navigation through constant solicitations. Additionally, the strong presence of Muslim culture, including frequent calls to prayer echoing from what feels like countless mosques, can be jarring for visitors not accustomed to it. While this is part of the area’s cultural fabric, the sheer volume and intensity can feel overwhelming, especially when combined with the chaotic crowds. The bazaar’s authenticity is a double-edged sword—it’s vibrant and bustling, but the lack of order and the aggressive street interactions make it feel less like a cultural gem and more like a disorganized mess. The absence of visible efforts to manage the crowds or maintain a welcoming environment for tourists only adds to the frustration. For every moment of architectural charm, there’s an equal dose of discomfort that makes the visit feel like a chore. In short, the Old Bazaar has the potential to be a fascinating stop in Skopje, but the intrusive begging and relentless noise from nearby mosques make it far less appealing. It’s a shame, as the historical elements deserve better presentation.

Enjoy walking and around but be aware - on Sunday only few shops and restaurants are open, most of the shops are closed.

Visiting this place is like taking a trip back in time. It is one of the largest and oldest bazaars in the Balkans, dating back to the 12th century. The narrow cobblestone streets are filled with Ottoman-era architecture. The atmosphere is vibrant, full of craft shops, jewelers, cafes and restaurants. I found it great for a stroll, buying simple souvenirs and soaking up a genuine atmosphere.

Charming bazar with great food, but watch the weather Visited on 26 October 2025 and spent about 2 hours exploring and trying food. The Old Bazar is a cute, small, historic area full of character, with lots of different things to try — perfect for wandering, taking in the architecture, and sampling local treats. We especially enjoyed some lokma at Lokmades Skopje, which was absolutely delicious! It was a bit rainy during our visit, and some roads had standing water due to poor drainage, so I’d suggest visiting on sunny days for a more comfortable experience. Overall, a must-visit spot for those wanting a taste of traditional Skopje and local flavors. ✅ Recommended.

This place isn’t just historically significant — it also carries the unmistakable cultural heritage of the Albanian people. A visit is always worth it.

Must vist place in belgrade serbia. The Fortress is a must visit when in the city. Originally built by the Romans in the 1st century AD, the fortress has seen countless empires rise and fall including Byzantine, Hungarian, Ottoman, and Austrian, each leaving its own mark. The Ottomans, who ruled Belgrade for nearly two centuries, rebuilt and expanded large parts of the fortress. You can still see traces of their presence in the design of the gates, the remains of the mosque near the Upper Town, and the general layout that reflects their military architecture. The surrounding Kalemegdan Park adds charm to the visit, offering shaded paths, sculptures, and views across the rivers. Key highlights within the fortress include the Victor Monument, and the Military Museum, which houses weapons from various periods of Serbian and Balkan. Great history, great view, great vepons

Beautiful, I mean a must visit in Belgrade and free, lots of tanks and anti tanks outside, nice park, read the small signs along the walking it will tell you more about the history of it.

We went here on a walking tour of Belgrade. It is well laid out and provides a great setting to learn about the history of the area, city, and country. There are plaques throughout with some information but so much can be understood just by looking a the location to understand why it was a critical place for a fortification.

Cool views of the city, some armored vehicles on display at the gates, nothing too special. I liked reading the informative labels throughout the fortress, they were detailed. You can climb on some of the walls, other than that there are some basketball/tennis courts right outside that don’t really match the vibe.

I went here on the 31/8/2025 and I had such a bad experience. The park looked like it was from a war zone with trash, used syringes, faeces, urine and weeds everywhere. Really third world country conditions. It was full of people begging and homeless people that were screaming at the top of their lungs for no reason and the area generally felt really unsafe. I would not recommend visiting it under no circumstances. So sad

Petrovaradin Fortress is very important and beautiful fortress in Serbia and, in brief, it was used for military and strategic purposes by different empires and kingdoms throughout history. It's something to read about. This river is a well known European river Danube.

The Petrovaradin Fortress has a huge historical value and it's one of the most beautiful place to visit while being in Serbia! The sightseeing is out of this world! Being on top of everything offers a great experience while looking at the city of Novi Sad from above. I recommend this place to all the tourists! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really nice view of Novi Sad and beyond. Also lovely to be able to walk freely around the walls, ramparts and grounds. We were there just after the 2 big storms so trees and roof tiles were scattered everywhere, as well as plenty of other debris. Hope everything gets put back together!

We had a blast on the E-Coaster tour of the Kállo Valley, with Ricsi leading our tour. His instructions were clear and easy to follow, as we learned at the garage area, and then we were off, flying through town and up into the valley. His tour included bits of local history too. He also took some great pictures of my girlfriend and me. Overall, I highly recommend the E-coaster tour with 4Évsak. We hope to return!

We were on a Laser Fight with our bachelorette team. Our guide - Sz. Tomi - created a great and friendly atmosphere, took a lot of great photos, gave us information of the area. We enjoyed the game sooo much, it was the best decision to go with the girls for a "fight" in the woods with our helmets and laser guns. Thank you for the whole experience! :)) We will encourage anyone to go and experience this kind of activity.

Richly decorated art nouveau style basilica, full of history and relics. The mosaics are impressive, the style is magnificent and sculptures are masterful. There is so much to see here. Tip: buy your tickets online at least a couple of days in advance. They don't sell tickets at the entrance and there is often none available even online

What a beautiful church. The details are incredible. We went to a concert tonight - the music was beautiful. Definitely recommend! Also, go to the Panoramic viewpoint. You can take the elevator up partway, but you still need to climb several floors of stairs- but it was so cool to see the cement structure of the dome!

Absolutely breathtaking! Visiting St. Stephen’s Basilica was an unforgettable experience. The interior left me amazed, the details, artwork, and overall grandeur are simply stunning. It’s truly one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture I’ve ever seen, and I’d say it’s a must-visit in Budapest. We bought tickets for the church only, and even that was more than worth it. The craftsmanship inside is so intricate that you can spend a long time just admiring the details. The Basilica is also home to Hungary’s most sacred relic, the mummified right hand of St. Stephen, the first King of Hungary, which is displayed in the chapel. For those interested, there’s also an option to visit the dome, which offers a panoramic view of Budapest — I didn’t do it this time, but I’ve heard it’s well worth it. Tickets are reasonably priced, and it’s a good idea to check the opening hours as the Basilica also hosts concerts and services. Highly recommend adding this to your Budapest itinerary — both for its beauty and its cultural significance.

This church is one of my mom’s favorites, and during our visit to Budapest it quickly became one of mine as well. It’s definitely a must-see. You do need a ticket to enter, but purchasing them online is simple, and entry times are clearly scheduled. The area outside can get quite busy, yet inside the basilica it feels calm and organized. The architecture is stunning, and after your visit there are plenty of dining options nearby.

Saint Stephen’s Basilica is A Must-See Masterpiece ⛪️ Wow…just wow. Saint Stephen’s Basilica is absolutely breathtaking. Whether you’re religious or not, or even if you’re not the “church enthusiast” type, this is one spot in Budapest you have to see. To say the interior is stunning would be an understatement, it’s jaw-droppingly beautiful. (Check the pictures below, words barely do it justice.) The church is massive and has multiple parts to explore: the main hall, an elevator leading up to the terrace, and the treasury upstairs. Pro tip: go for the all-access ticket. It’s around €23 per person and 100% worth it. Sure, the main church alone is lovely if you’re in a rush, but the terrace and treasury really complete the experience. The terrace view of Budapest is absolutely gorgeous. Not to be biased, but it’s honestly better than the sky deck 😂 Plan for about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes to see everything at a relaxed pace. There are toilets upstairs too, which is another reason to grab that all-access pass (seriously, finding public bathrooms in Budapest can be an adventure on its own 💀). Overall…An incredible landmark, well worth the time and money. If you’re in Budapest, put this high on your list. It’s a true gem of the city.

Hello! The in-person ticket office is across the street (off ground), so be aware. The line to get tickets was not long at all. The basilica and panoramic view combination is the best value. There is a discount for seniors (65 years and older). The basilica is a wonder to see! There are many alcoves as well as central seating. Don’t forget to look up as the ceilings are also quite beautiful to see. The entrance for the panoramic view area is near the main entrance and you don’t have to exit the basilica to access. Your choice on walking up the 304 steps or taking a lift to get to the third floor. A second lift gets you up to the panoramic area - there is a limit to four persons per car on that second lift. On the way back down, visit the Treasury for a break in those 304 steps. Enjoy!

Make sure you get tickets not just to go inside but up to the top. You can take a lift pretty much all the way up there and there are toilets also. I’d suggest going at night get an amazing view of the city lit up.

The area around the bridge is lively and easy to explore on foot, making it a great spot for a stroll and taking in the atmosphere of Budapest. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city.

This wonderful bridge is definitely the most beautiful bridge of Budapest, symbol of the Hungary and an absolute must-see for any visitor. Connects Buda and Pest. From the bridge, you get perfect shots of the Buda Castle, the Hungarian Parliament, and the entire river panorama. The atmosphere after dark is magical

A special, impressive construction. It gives a special charm to the area and very interesting perspectives from both its ends but also along the pedestrian passage. Walking on the bridge allows you to capture some special images of Pest, Buda and the Danube.

The Chain Bridge in Budapest is truly one of the city’s most stunning landmarks! Walking across it during the day gives you a beautiful view of both Buda and Pest, but it’s at night when the bridge becomes absolutely magical. The whole structure glows with warm lights, reflecting beautifully on the Danube River and creating a breathtaking view of the illuminated Parliament and Buda Castle. The atmosphere feels peaceful yet full of life — perfect for an evening stroll or photos. Definitely one of the highlights of Budapest that shouldn’t be missed!

I went here in October 2025. I really felt awesome looking it with the pink theme. Very nice and crowdy place. For a good feel and view should visit in the night time. This bridge is special because it connects all main locations.

The Shoes on the Danube Bank is one of the most moving and powerful memorials I’ve ever visited. It’s simple in design yet incredibly emotional, rows of iron shoes along the river remind us of the tragic fate of the Jews who were executed here during World War II. Standing in that spot, looking at the shoes with the Danube flowing beside them, you really feel the weight of history and loss. It’s a place of silence and reflection, not just a tourist stop. A must-visit in Budapest if you want to understand the city’s history on a deeper level.

Nice sobering view. It's lovely to see people respectfully taking photos and then moving aside for others to visit/take pics. NOTE: It can be challenging to access via scooter, you're better off walking down to the foreshore after parking your bike/scooter further up (lesson learnt!) ACCESSIBILITY: It is wheelchair and pram accessible and there are large sandstone blocks that people can sit/rest on.

Very moving and picturesque memorial on the beautiful bank of the Danube. Easily accessible by public transportation and free. Great opportunity to hang out by the great river and appreciate the long and sometimes sad history of this wonderful city.

Pretty impressive monument, a must see when in Budapest. You would likeness it as an art piece but it is actually a moving historical artifacts.

The memorial for the Jews taken to this spot during the Nazi occupation and shot by the locals and thrown into the Danube river. Public space. Always reachable. Must visit to remember our duty as human beings: be tolerant and respect others.

Sombre experience at this free to visit installation of historical significance. You can simply take a stroll along the Danube soaking in the views until you come across it. There are places to sit there as well.

The walk from our river boat was about 30 minutes along the Danube River. The path was not smooth with rocky terrain and uneven stones as well as metal grating. It was sad to see all the different shoes from men, women and children. It's impactful.

This is really an impressive building and worth of sightseeing from inside as well. They have prepared the guides in many languages which is very good so people or not limited to english only. It woould be better that the tour was a bit longer and probably more detailed but overall it was fine. Thr big remark goes to the price for entrance which is huge!

It’s one of those views that remind you why travel matters: moments of stillness and awe that stay with you long after you’ve left.

If you can, go both during the day and at night — completely different vibe and both unforgettable.

Tip: Skip the guided tour if short on time - the real magic is outside, especially at sunset from the opposite bank or from Fisherman’s Bastion.

One of the most stunning structures I've seen. Incredibly beautiful. From all sides. From any distance. Top 1 in Budapest. The photos look unreal, but they're real!) I highly recommend a tour inside. It lasts about an hour. Available in different languages. You definitely need to book in advance for a specific time, because the number of spots is limited. You might wait a couple of hours if you don't book. This is an active government building, so there are security measures - you need to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time. Of course there are items that are prohibited from bringing inside. Regarding the parliament inside. Very atmospheric. A completely different style than the exterior. In my opinion there's too much gold) but it's definitely worth it

I didn’t go inside, but even from the outside, the Hungarian Parliament left me speechless! The architecture is absolutely stunning — elegant, powerful, and perfectly reflected on the Danube River. I could’ve stood there for hours just admiring the view. Especially during sunset, it feels like a dream. One of the most beautiful landmarks in Budapest, no doubt! 💛

Beautiful place up on the Buda side. The views are nice and it looks incredible when the lights go on at night. We did not go inside but admired the beautiful architecture from the outside. Definitely a must do when in town.

By day, the Neo-Romanesque terraces frame sweeping views of the Danube and the Parliament building, perfect for photos. At night, the city lights transform the scene into something straight out of a storybook. The architecture is stunning: white stone towers, turrets, and archways that feel like a castle from a fantasy novel. It’s not just beautiful, it’s steeped in history, built to honor the guild of fishermen who defended this part of the city walls in the Middle Ages. The atmosphere is peaceful in the morning, with fewer crowds, and you can wander freely through the arches and balconies. At night, it’s more lively but still romantic, with illuminated spires and the Parliament glowing across the river. Tip: Go twice—daytime for clarity, nighttime for magic. Combine your visit with Matthias Church next door. Bring a camera; every angle is postcard-worthy. Arrive early for quiet moments and fewer tourists. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Fisherman’s Bastion is not just a viewpoint it’s an experience that captures the essence of Budapest’s beauty and history.

Simply gorgeous, I recommended walking there as well. The panoramic view. The place itself, especially at night is worth every step. It's really a nice experience to walk across the chain bridge to this castle.

Absolutely breathtaking views over the city. Also great to just walk around and see the old sites and fort and it can all be done for free too. You can also purchase tickets and pay extra to go inside the church and walk up the walls but we didn’t do this and it still sufficed

Amazing looking, the streets here look like a different world. The surrounding restaurants and stuff is a little bit more expensive than elsewhere so be prepared for that. You can see the whole of Budapest from here! No need to pay to go a level above on the lookout (it’s useless). Only thing sad is you have to pay to enter the church, but other than that it’s amazing.

The view is amazing! Can't say enough! Even on a cloudy day it was worth visiting. If you're visiting Budapest is truly a must. There are many steps but if you're going on Buda with a taxi you can ask the driver to drop you off at Matthias's church so no need to walk up all the stairs.

The panoramic views over Budapest — especially of the Parliament and the Danube — are some of the best in the city. It’s a beautiful place to walk around, take photos, and enjoy the scenery. World’s largest swimmable natural thermal - it’s fun for a couple of hours. Trees provide some shade. Cards accepted for entry but need a cash deposit for swimming floats - worthwhile to aid a relaxing dip. We found that the water had a soporific effect and led to a great night’s sleep!

Lake Heviz is a place where people seek health in a thermal lake rich in minerals. You won't feel the benefits after just one visit, but it's interesting to see. The changing rooms weren't very clean, and you need to bring slippers.

Update. Nice atmosphere and buildings although a bit undermaintained. For me it was good but my girlfriend with psoriasis had a lot of issues with her skin after bading the water for 1 hour. Hurted for hours. BUT: one day later it was way better than before. Didn’t expect that.

The lake is truly healing; after one session, you notice a relaxing effect, and after several sessions, it's already therapeutic. The infrastructure is very convenient, with everything you need. It's a quiet, nature-filled retreat – just perfect. Unfortunately, the main bathhouse building is closed, but despite that, there's enough space for everyone. I especially liked that they offer water gymnastics and stretching there.

Really good area for relax with restaurant and bar. Clear water.

What a joy this lake is! It's the largest swimmable thermal lake in the world. Its temperature is ideal, and the effects on the body are felt after a few days. Joint pain disappears as if by magic, and the skin is soft. Swimming among the water lilies, with swallows dancing overhead, is a dream. The conditions are excellent, very well organized, and the price is decent. The mud treatment is a plus that we highly recommend. Magical! We hope to return one day... We would have liked the staff to be a little more friendly and welcoming, and a better communication in English ;-)

This is a lovely thermal lake which also is huge. Everyone gets an armband that also gives you a personal locker for your belongings. Note that you can not pick any locker you have to blip the armband at the screen when entering the locker room and then you are assigned a locker. I recommend going around the lake to the "relax" section where there are a lot fewer people and a much more calm setting. The lake is quite warm so do not expect to get cooled down on a warm summer day.

A unique little statue that attracts attention. Although it is not a large monument, it is still interesting and you can always see tourists taking pictures of it or having their pictures taken with the statue. I have passed it several times and there were always tourists around the statue. It is perhaps one of the most famous landmarks in the city.

Easily Bratislava’s most beloved and cheeky landmark - a bronze worker peeking out of a manhole, grinning up at passersby. It’s playful, funny, and a reminder not to take sightseeing too seriously. Locals say rubbing his head brings good luck (though judging by the shine, everyone’s already tried). Perfect photo spot, especially after a pint or two-you can’t help but smile when you spot him on the corner of Panská and Laurinská. Tip: Keep an eye out when walking - he’s literally on the street, and yes, people have tripped over him.

Visitors often stop to take photos with Čumil for good luck and to experience a bit of the city’s playful spirit.

The man at work is an interevisual relief on a busy alley. Its cute n there are a lot of stories around it. Most are exaggerated, though no harm if they humour you. Rub his cap to get some luck! If u get lucky, good on you!!

Interesting little statue. It’s a big attraction despite its small size. It is very unique to Bratislava and you will always find someone posing with it. Look to the ground otherwise you might miss it.
