Would recommend everyone to visit this place as it is located on the main road and can be given a quick visit. The architecture was beautiful and mesmerizing. The temple is not soo crowded and you can get the darshana without any waiting. We visited the temple at 9 AM and ig the temple opens at 9AM itself. There is space even for car parking and can accomodate upto 10 cars .

Visited Barachukki Falls 💦 over the weekend and had a really nice experience! ☀️ Though the sun was shining bright on top of our heads, the view of the falls was totally worth it — such a stunning sight! 🌈 The safety measures were good, and everything was quite well-managed despite the weekend crowd. 👏 There’s free parking 🅿️, and plenty of food stalls 🍢🥤 to grab a quick bite or drink. You’ll also find lots of monkeys 🐒, so keep your snacks safe! 😅 Horse rides 🐎 are available, adding a bit of fun for kids and families. Plus, there’s an instant photography option 📸 where you can get your pictures printed on the spot — a great souvenir to take home! It was a bit crowded since we visited on a weekend, but overall it’s a beautiful and refreshing spot 💧 to relax and enjoy nature with family and friends. 🌿✨

It's a very quiet and calm place to visit with family and friends and enjoy the day. Best time to visit during October to December. During rainy season also it will be good but when it's too much rainy can't enjoy as expected. At the main entry they collect entry charge for vehicle and at the entry of falls again they collect entry charges of 10 each per head. They are just collecting the entry fees but not improved the place. At the main entry they have mentioned as plastic free zone and near the falls area they have given permission to stalls where we can find Plastics dumped everywhere. No cleanliness maintained near falls. Also people and tourists who visit here are careless and dump and throw plastic where all they find place. Stalls should be evacuated from the falls area and keep the area neat and clean. Some higher officials with police protection and security visit the place and are least bothered about the surrounding nature and just get their family selfie and photos and just get out from their. If they show some interest and advice the personnel there to keep the surroundings clean then it would be more beautiful to visit the falls area.

I have visited Barachukki falls on Sunday, 3rd Aug’25. It was an amazing experience. The waterfall massive, magnificent and spectacular. It is located around 125kms from Bangalore and it takes around 2.5 hours to reach there. Place is usually much crowded on weekends and on public holiday. Best time to visit: July to September (based on monsoon season). Morning hours preferred so that place is not fully crowded. Tickets are available at front gate. Paid car parking space is available nearby.

Great falls to visit on a weekday with no crowds, due extended monsoons the falls are full even at the end of Oct. Has good parking and some what clean wash paid rooms. Good views from the lower view point requiring few steps. One can spend about 30 min to enjoy the falls and take some pictures. Closer to the main gate behind the Darga, there are Gaganchukki falls view from a different, parking is available but there is no good view point as the place is barricaded with steel mesh. The road after turning from NH 948 is pot holed at many places. The stone pillars old bridge is an ancient engineering work, stop here for few minutes to enjoy the architecture of the bridge built on stone columns. Cauvery Water flowing on rock beds here is a very beautiful sight to watch for long.

Bharachukki Waterfalls – A Breathtaking but Adventurous Experience 🌊🌿 We visited Bharachukki Waterfalls recently, and it was an unforgettable experience! Located near Shivanasamudra (around 130 km from Bengaluru), this place is perfect for a short road trip surrounded by greenery, small villages, and scenic countryside views. The drive itself feels refreshing, but the real magic begins once you reach the falls. The waterfall is massive and mesmerizing, with water gushing down rocky cliffs into a wide pool below. The mist, the roar of the falls, and the cool breeze create an incredibly peaceful and energizing vibe — truly nature at its best. You also get some great viewpoints for photography and relaxation. We decided to go closer to the falls, and honestly, that turned into a mini adventure! We went through a jungle trail to reach the water — it was thrilling but also quite risky, especially during summer when the rocks are dry, uneven, and slippery. It’s definitely not recommended unless you’re experienced and careful. Still, that close view of the powerful cascade was absolutely worth it! During monsoon, the waterfall is even more spectacular — full flow, mist everywhere, and a magical atmosphere. However, parking and crowd management could be better, especially on weekends, so visiting early morning or on a weekday is ideal for a peaceful experience. Overall, Bharachukki Falls is a must-visit if you love nature, road trips, and scenic beauty — just respect the terrain, stay safe, and let the waterfall do its magic. 💧✨

Shivanasamudra Waterfalls – Gagana Chukki & Bhara Chukki Shivanasamudra is truly a gem of Karnataka, consisting of two majestic waterfalls – Gagana Chukki and Bhara Chukki. I recently visited and was amazed by the breathtaking views. The drive from Mysore is around 85 km, making it a perfect day trip. Directions: 133 kms from Bengaluru and 78 kms from Mysore, on the state highway, Maddur - Kollegala Road. iii. Plenty of seating place at different levels, socialise and photograph. iv. Closeby restaurant, souvenirs shopping available.

Breathtakingly beautiful. It takes you a while to get there but it's so worth it. I went on Independence day so there was a lot of crowd there so I would suggest going during offseason to peacefully listen to gushing sound of the falls. The viewing area is vast and there is enough space to accommodate a lot of people, you just have to be careful of the crowds there. Plenty of roadside food options too. Definitely worth a trip.

It's a beautiful place it visit specially during monsoon season when the water is released from KRS dam. The beauty of this place can't be expressed in words you need to come n experience by yourself. The flow of water from the rocks is just like milk flowing through it, that's the beauty of this place. I suggest this place for a one day trip. Though the government is taking entry fees the road to such beautiful place is in worst condition from many years, since many people visit this place they should develop proper road to here.

One of the best One day trip place to visit if you are in Bangalore. July to August perfect time to catch hold of Cauvery water falling from the hill rocks. Roads are very nice, it takes approximately 2.5 hours from Bangalore. If someone starts at 6am. Breakfast can be planned on Kanakapura road side restaurants and easily by 9am you will reach the spot. Going early avoid entry and exit traffic at the spot. Big land with Ample parking available near the falls, don't go crossing the parking ground since it's dead end it will be difficult to get U turn done, only bike parking can be done there. Govt has constructed the view points in 3 to 4 spots in a step wise manner for us to view the falls from different angles. Suggest to take umbrella since this is raining season. You get snacks and juice there. Mobile signal is weak here, UPI payment can be difficult better to carry cash.

I visited in the second week of July, and it was truly great to witness the waterfall in full flow. There is ample parking available, which is very convenient. Please note that you cannot go close to the waterfall or touch the water for safety reasons. This is a must-visit place for a one-day trip from Bangalore.

Built on the Shimsha River, this historic dam offers calm waters, scenic views, and a cool breeze — perfect for a relaxing day trip. Not too crowded, making it ideal for nature lovers and photographers. Best visited after monsoon. A hidden gem worth visiting!

This dam is an engineering marvel designed by Sir M Vishweshwarayya. Probably it's the only dam in the world built on siphon technology. The main function of this technology is to empty the dam water as quickly as possible in case of heavy rain to prevent flooding of Yediyur Siddalingeshwara temple.

Huge Dam but for now when we visited the water level was less but still it's a good place to visit. We went there just recently in April 2025. Care takers and people working there are super cool and warm hearted. They just charged us Rs100 to open the gate to explain the whole process of how the dam works. Please go there in the morning or evening because it's blazing hot in the noon. There are vendors selling water and other eatables just before you enter the dam to keep yourself hydrated. Support them ❤️ Overall nice experience and just back of the dam there's the Shimsa river too.

An amazing immersive experience in the jungle, right on the banks of the Cauvery! From coracle rides, kayaking, zip lines, and treks to peaceful nature walks, it’s packed with adventure. Add to that a barbecue by the campfire and the sight of wildlife—boars, deer, peacocks, and more—wandering freely around the campus, and it feels surreal. And the best part? It’s just a 2-hour drive from Bangalore! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Bheemeshwari!

Excellent place , been there for a day out and it is absolutely worth it. Food preparation was great. The guides in adventure ride need special mention, they take really good care. Only suggestion is to provide complimentary accommodation for day out package, so that guest can reat do a while.

We stay in suit room package for one day which included coracle ride on Kaveri river.Overall it was an excellent experience amidst the flora and fauna of nature. Forest resort with excellent facilities for adventure activities for families, well maintained rooms facing river with grand view and extremely cooperative staff who went all out to make our stay comfortable. Very well prepared homely food and morning nature walk/ trek for one hour we're icing on cake.Recommended for families visit to all.

Just like all other JLR I have visited, this too maintains the same theme that one could get bored of. They don't maintain the infra as perfectly as the heavenly location They get to set their resorts up. Although the adventurous sports They conduct were good in terms of fun and safety, other facility like food really needs to be better. We didn't stay overnight so I can't comment on the room quality.

One of the best resorts to completely disconnect from corporate world. Food was good, staff were excellently friendly. Service was amazing. Really loved the time being there. Forest area and Kaveri bank makes it an excellent place for outing.

This is our 9th JLR visit. As usual, great location and hospitality. All the staff were very courteous and helpful. breakfast and lunch was good. dinner and barbeque needs improvement. Coracle Ride was only for 15 mins , bit disappointment (in Galibore we had more than one hour ride). Morning trekking was good and the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Overall we had a great stay.

Overall a nice experience. It's a day trip as this place is quite far off from the Bangalore main city. The ticket price has reimbursement via Wine Tour and Tastings! They could have allowed us more time in the Vineyards to explore the grapes. Overall nice experience! The guided tour costs 600 per head.

Good place for a day outing about 80 Kms frm bangalore (HSR Layout). Cover charge now increased to 800/ person from earlier Rs. 600/ person. Note that this can be set off against purchases made / services taken ( wine tour , wine tasting). Good selection of wine (red & white) including their upmarket ranges - Source & Rasa which otherwise is not usually found in shops in Bnglr. The winetasting & tour guide Tanish was very courteous & helpful apart from being knowledgable about most things to do with wine. We tasted about 6 different wine varieties, 2 sparkling, 2 red & 2 whites be prepared for a slightly warm weather at chanapatna as compared to Bamgalore. Given the long weekend, we didnt face much of traffic heading out or returning to bangalore. Food was ok & given the price charges nothing much to talk about... we ordered the nachos, pasta, few indian dishes... paid close to 3k for 4 pax.

A decent experience with brief tour on wine making process and vineyards. Best time to visit is before March as per the crew, as harvest time was complete before we visited and not much grapes were in the vineyards. Explanation and wine tasting were good. Many places for photoshoot. They have grape stomping as well. Overall, a half day experience with fun away from the daily chores. Not much offers (except nominal discounts in bulk purchase) on their wines. It could be improved with more interactive and entertaining tour and tasting.

Good place if you are a wine 🍷 lover and want to drive down to outskirts for a change. Ambience - Good for a day outing, has ample parking space. Paid Wine tour, wine shop and other souvenirs sold at their store. Good place to just relax take some funky pictures and enjoy the silence. Service - Is good, kept place clean and green 💚. Kitchen - While you need to try 🍷 and 🧀 here there are other options of multi cuisine food also served. Place is a little over priced but for a day to just beat the monotony good place to relax and have some decent food and drinks.

It was very interesting and enjoyable to learn how wine is made. This is a small vineyard though but it was pretty. The wine tasting was great and there's a gift shop too. The restaurant inside is very bad though, the food tasted like nothing, there were many houseflies and when asked to clean they did the bare minimum and just shrugged their shoulders. So overall if you visit here just buy a bottle of wine from their shop and go somewhere else to dine, this place isn't worth it that way. I am reducing 2 stars just for the worst dining experience I've ever had

The vineyard is quite small, so there isn’t much to explore. It’s fine to stop by if it’s along your route, but not really worth a full-day visit. There’s not much to do, and while the weekday entry fee is reasonable, weekends feel overpriced. Food is also on the expensive side, and the vineyard tour requires an additional payment (though part of it is adjusted against the entry pass).

We booked tickets for Domaine Sula Vineyard at ₹600 each. ₹200 covered the vineyard and factory tour, and ₹400 was for optional wine tasting, which could also be redeemed for food or wine. The tour lasted around 15-20 minutes, and the guide explained everything well. However, we were disappointed to find out that there were no grapes in the vineyard since all the grapes had already been harvested. It was quite a letdown. We felt they should have clearly mentioned the grape season on their website or while booking, so visitors would know what to expect. During the tour, the guide explained the process of how the grapes are grown and harvested over the months. The wine tasting session was good— we tasted six different wines, and the guide explained their taste, smell, and ingredients. This helped us choose which wine to purchase. Overall, it was an average experience. If we had known about the grape season and the overall experience beforehand, we wouldn’t have travelled over 100 km just for this.

Archagar is very Duty concious. Guided wholl heartly. Temple is not selling / printing photos of deities. A Private vendor, one and only, is selling photos at very costly. Sponsors may be approached to print krishna and Perumal at reasonable price. The GOVT may consider this proposal.

It's good to spend time with family for 2 to 3hours. You can see trible houses as well. I could see it in Google that the price will be 10rs. However the price is 100rs for adults and 50 for child. Few items are not maintained or its not in good condition. Overall it's good to spend time with family and kids.

It’s nice place for one day outing, for family as well students from school and all. Give a detailed view about the ancient history of Karnataka, various tribes and how they lived at that point of time. Lot of things to learn from the history, which present generation may not be aware.

It's a good moderate level trek experience for beginers. For Half of the climb until the temple summit there are stairs and after which to reach the top there is a hill climb over large stones and rocks, At the end of the climb there is a 80° inclined steep climb over a boulder with steps carved into it for just 10-15 meters high, once completed the view is breathtaking with a view of lush greenery. I recommend reaching the base of the place only at the opening hours as there are gates at the entrance which remain closed until the opening time. There is a vehicle parking fee of ₹25 for each bike and a separate entry fee for per person around ₹10-25 per head. Carry hard cash as online payment or card payment is not accepted here.

What a brilliant place, you get the opportunity to trek 500+steps, a beautiful view from the top, there are 2 temples in the top, Sunday's and public holidays devotees offer free lunch to all visitors, you can further trek to the top from the temple which will have even better view i guess. Entry fees 25 per person, 10rs per vehicle(2 wheeler). Best place to start for trekking with kids. Didn't see any vultures, no need to go inside City, from express highway service road you can reach this place.

Drinking water & toilets available, but quality is very basic - enough to get by if someone really needs. At the start there's a long flight of stone stairs which lead to the Sri Pattabhi Rama temple. It's an old temple made from stone and a small water tank formed in rock. The temple serves free food at noon. From the level of temple, there are 2 trek trails. One goes up & the other goes down. The one that goes up turns pretty adventurous & steep at the summit. There are railings & steps cut in stone to help climb that part. The 360 degree view from top is beautiful. There's a small natural tank of water on top and a lot of cactus plants. You can see what they call the Saptarishi stones from here and also vulture nests on the face of the rocks - though from afar. The trail that goes down from the temple level, take you to a small Hanuman shrine. There's no temple here, just a small rock shrine. You can see two rock entrance gates on the way down. You can see the place in 2-3 hours or spend half a day here. On the way from Bangalore to Mysore, this place is on the right hand side and less than 1 KM from the main highway.

Ramadevarabetta is a really amazing place to spend your time. Entry tickets are 25rs per person and 20rs for car parking and 10rs for two wheelers. There are two main temples. Initially you have to climb around 300-400 steps then you reach near the temples. After that you have to walk and climb between nice trees for around 30mins to reach the top. Here there is a tricky climb to reach the top. The top is really amazing with lush green forest and mountain views. It will be tricky in the rainy season to get into the top. The place is really worthy if you want to trek in nature. "Normal plastic bottles are not allowed",they only allow the bottles which we use regularly.

Ramadevara Betta and Vulture Sanctuary is a really beautiful place to visit around 50 to 60kms from Bangalore. You’ll need to park your bike/car and climb a few hundred stairs first – after that the main trek begins. Along the way, there are a few old temples with very scenic views, which makes the climb enjoyable. The trek up to the Ramadevara viewpoint is fairly easy overall, with breathtaking views along the way. The last stretch to the top point has a steep incline, which can be a little challenging, but it’s not too difficult and absolutely worth it once you reach the viewpoint. The landscape from the top is stunning. Do note – the timings are 9 AM to 5 PM, and there’s no entry before 9. A great place for a short trek with a mix of nature, temples, and amazing views.

🏞️ Visited the real Sholay Hills in Ramanagara 🎬 The place is famous as the filming location of Sholay, and you can feel that iconic vibe as you trek up the rocky trails. 🥾 The climb is moderate and the views from the top are stunning, especially around sunrise or sunset 🌄. It’s perfect for trekkers, movie lovers, or anyone who enjoys a bit of adventure in nature. 🙌

I visited on 12th Jan 2025(Sunday) and reached 2nd Checkpost at 4:25 pm, based on Google Maps Timing, it will close at 5 pm. Then forest officer clarified, arrival closes at 4 pm only, return closes at 5pm. The next weekend - Jan 18 - Saturday I visited the same place again, but again got stopped at the same place - Forest Outpost, just 4 kms from the summit. The place is permanently closed for visitors, citing an elephant attack on tourists, except few exemptions such as local fairs associated to the temple on the summit. 12th Jan was 1 such day, where there was some ritual associated with the Temple at the summit. The forest guard could not say, when the summit will be again opened for common tourists.

It's been closed for the last 3 months and it will not going open for the bike entry in the upcoming days, after 2-3 months the Bus will be arranged from the bottom to the top of the hill from the forests department. We visited recently -dated by 22-dec-2024

Very good place to spend a day's time with your team. You have to trek for 20 mins to reach the camp once vehicle is parked in the nearby village. The camp organizes a few team building activities and adventure activities like rope walking, kayaking and boating in manchanbele dam. But the fun part is that you are allowed to swim in the waters with a life jacket. They also serve decent Breakfast, lunch and tea/coffee snacks.

The main attraction of this place is water. been there for one day outing. Food is not at all good. But you will enjoy the day. Also location is beautiful 😍 .Rest room is too far and why there is no mirror?

Water sports activities are good but they have less boats now available and out of all boats few are not in good working condition, food was ok keeping in mind that place is far from normal living area, rappling was good, rope activities are also ok, staffs are polite, this place is mostly for adventure loving people rather than relax,dance,games(cricket, volleyball,paintball,etc) loving people. No paintball, and mud driving.

Nice place for team outing. Best part was swimming and kayaking in river. Other than that rope activities and team building activities were good. Food was ok. Avallaki in breakfast was smelly. Had to throw it as it is. Sambhar vada and idli was good. Reached there by private bus which we booked for our team. Bus was parked at some 1.5kms away from destination. Had to track to location from there. Since its an adventure camping zone so don't expect any air conditioning room or place to rest. Your whole day is going to be tiring. We started from Bangalore at 8 and reached there by 10.30. Evening we left at 5.30 and reached back by 8.30.

A beautiful place to get away from the city and camp under the stars. The host and their staff did a great job of ensuring we had a good time. The food was amazing! They have a selection of activities to keep you occupied. Overall a good experience.

If you want only back water swimming and boating experience then this the best place. Life Saver Jackets are of good quality. Food is okay okay.

If your are ready for a 1km hike before you get to the place, then this place is for you. XtremeZone is not all that "Xtreme". The food was horrible. A local villager we talked to said that they prepare meals in a very unhygienic manner. The staff was somewhat helpful. The owners have no regards for customers though. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only plus point is the long drive.

One of the best amusement parks in the country. Some rides are really high on thrill and adrenaline rush, especially their roller coaster- recoil, the twister, maverik etc. You must not miss the newly added adventure ride- Interstellar which is an experience in itself. The giant wheel at the 13th floor gives the best view of the park and the city. The waterpark isn’t great but has some good water slides and rides you can try. For extra fun you can try the rain dance shows, & especially the wave pool with the dj is so much fun. The best part is they hae made a division in the pool with 2 sides, one for family, couple, women; and other for only men. The crew keeps a check that everyone follows the rules properly and behaves. Some things to keep in mind. Some rides can have queues in rush time, but its doable; as the fastrack tickets are double the cost and not worth it as you can still do all rides without it, just make sure you reach before noon and are there till atleast 6pm. Noone specifically checked the costume for waterpark, but carry appropriate material clothes to enjoy the most, or you’ll have t o buy them at 350 bucks. The locker costs 350 rs, with an additional 50 bucks of the magnetic key watch band. There are multiple food joints and options to eat from. You’ll also find souvenir shops. Wait till post the sunset to see the beauty of the park in lights. You can take certain buses plying to and back from the park to city. Overall its a great experience and a must go to atleast once if you are adventurous soul.

Check offers before Booking! This place is really good for a day outing, don't start from the first ride, watch YouTube videos to see which one you don't wanna miss and be in queue for those in the start. First of all reach the place by 10 am to be aware of what to do, and how to go ahead. Normal queue Wait time is 30-70 minutes on each ride after 11:30. So decide wisely don't waste your time on not so worthy rides. We included three meals, it was a good decision so we didn't waste time deciding, what to eat. My recommendations at least include noon meal, so you can enjoy it and during the evening it will be your wish for what you wanna eat after rides. Take the longest hours, it's hardly the matter of 100-200/- rs but then after dinner also you may be able to do some fun rides if not water rides. Take the locker in advance or one of you may end up just looking after your stuff. Wear water rides approved clothing from the start , so you don't waste time changing clothes again and again. Wear rubber slippers/ crocs, it's easy for you to move around.

I recently went to Wonderla Bengaluru, and honestly, it was an amazing experience! One of the best amusement parks I’ve ever been to. The place is super clean, well maintained, and packed with rides that’ll give you both adrenaline rush and pure fun. The new Mission Interstellar ride totally blew my mind! It’s India’s first space themed ride and the huge screen makes you feel like you’re actually floating in space definitely a must-try. Apart from that, the high thrill rides like Recoil were just insane. The water park section was also great the slides, the wave pool, the lazy river everything was just perfect for cooling off and chilling. The staff were polite and helpful throughout the day, and the locker and changing facilities were neat and clean. I also liked the food options inside decent variety and not too overpriced, which was nice. Overall, I had an absolute blast here! Whether you’re going with friends, family, or your partner, Wonderla guarantees a full day of fun, thrill, and amazing memories. Totally worth it! 🙌

The park is **very clean, green, and peaceful**, with a lot of energy and excitement all around. We enjoyed both **dry rides and water games** — each one gave us a thrill! The **rain dance** and **Rizal Coaster** were especially unforgettable and gave us real goosebumps. There are **lockers available**, and **drinking water** is easily accessible throughout the park, which is really convenient. Coming to **food**, the options are good and available at **reasonable prices**. Just one suggestion — avoid eating and then going for active water rides immediately, as it might cause a bit of discomfort. This was my 3rd visit but first time with family and kids. Beautiful park, everyone should visit for fun. Weather was supportive so you could enjoy water games. There's new addition to the park - Mission Interstellar. It was mind blowing. Never experienced before. For all games there's 25% of people with Fast track priority passes are sent in. With Halloween passes, all land games can be played even between 7 pm to 10 pm while games for regular passes are closed by 6 pm. Park timings on weekends is 11 am to 7 pm. Everything is fine except Food. Its totally SCAM. If you buy buffet online vs offline, the prices are different. If you buy Buffet lunch at entrance is 419 while online and inside its 500+. Any food like Fried rice or Noodles with non/veg manchurian and large coke combination is 410/- when you can buy Buffet for same price. The quality of food is pathetic. After spending good time, we felt disappointed with food quality with menu options and with exorbitant prices. I have provided same feedback to ground staff to improve food. Hence reduced the overall ratings.

Nice Place for a Short Trek and Peaceful Vibes Shivagange is a great place to visit if you’re looking for a short trip from Bangalore. It’s about 50 km away and perfect for a one-day outing. The place has a mix of nature, trekking, and spiritual feel. The trek is around 3 to 4 km uphill. Some parts are steep and narrow, but there are railings to help. It’s better to start early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowd. Make sure to carry water, wear good shoes, and be ready for some climbing. On the way up, you’ll see a few small temples and a big Nandi statue. The temple at the top is peaceful, and the view is really beautiful. Some useful info: Best time to visit: October to February (nice weather) Timings: Open from morning till evening Entry fee: No entry fee, but parking is paid Facilities: Small food stalls and a paid restroom near the parking area Tip: Don’t carry food in your hands—monkeys may try to grab it If you enjoy trekking or visiting temples, this place is worth going to. I visit 21-07-25 Very Beautiful beginners trekking spot close to Bangalore. From Bangalore it's a half day adventure trip. Good to go during weekdays since there will be crowd which is safe. Else go in large groups. During weekdays carry food and water.and valakallu teertha is amezing moment.

We visited Shivagange in the early morning, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. As we started our trek just before sunrise, the cool breeze and peaceful surroundings set the perfect mood. The silence of the morning,made the whole atmosphere feel calm and spiritual. Overall, it was a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and spirituality. Visiting early in the morning is highly recommended if you want to beat the heat, avoid crowds, and enjoy the serene beauty of the place at its best.

Had a wonderful trek to Shivagange! The trail offers a mix of steps and rocky paths with beautiful views along the way. It’s best to start early morning around 6 AM to enjoy the sunrise and cool weather, as it gets quite crowded once the sun is up. You’ll see many monkeys on the way, so keep your food and water bottles safe. The monkeys are playful but can grab things quickly. At the top, the view is rewarding, but water and snacks are quite expensive, so it’s better to carry your own water to save money. Overall, it’s a moderate trek, with some steep climbs near the top, but manageable with short breaks. The vibe is peaceful in the morning, and the breeze at the peak makes it worth the effort. Highly recommended for a day trek near Bangalore if you love adventure and sunrise views!

Lunch in a colorfull table and variety of tasty food.The place is superb. No words to express. It was like a palace and we were treated as queens😃.Only the directions are missing from main road, the entrance board must be big. Hospitality, food, guide, service, overall very good. The network was good though its very inside, remote place. The people are very helpfull. To be improved is the wash basin was leaking, making the floor filled with water. Overall good experience.

Our visit to Omthara kala kuteera was very enlightening. It is a beautiful, peaceful place with so much of greenery. The artwork, stone sculptures are amazing, depicting Indian culture and heritage. Each stone carving had a story to tell . The light and sound show on Dashaavataras was inspiring , courteous staff and a knowledgeable guide , great hospitality. We took the 6 hours tour which was worth it , a day well spent . Definitely a must visit

So peaceful. We were lucky that Gurudev was there when we visited. So inquire first before going there. You can shop there, there are meditation centres, temples and everything. You must have 1 whole day to visit it properly.

I have been visiting this place from last 15 yrs.. and never felt boared to revisit this again. You can feel all these magical when you step inside the gate.. worth to visit!

Nice place to visit. It is a place where you can feel the eternal peace. I visited during 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. and saw lighting, alongwith water sprayers. There is a small children park for sliding, swinging. You can sit, have snacks, can do shopping of Sri Sri branded products, and buy ayurvedic medicines with nadi pariksha. 3 to 4 hours is sufficient time to spend if you are going with with family.

I'm from Vietnam and I came here for the Silence Program. I had a great experience here. The environment is clean, the air is fresh, the people are friendly, the vibration is peaceful... The Ashram is very contrast with the outside world.

HAPPINESS IS FREE. This is a factual review of my experience. First, I was treated with utmost love and respect and kindness by almost every staff member I met here (especially the ones serving the food!). The grounds are pretty, there is a large building being built and the traffic is not *too* loud. I was told I could stay in the accommodations for free and try a course, so I went to speak at the reception (I was also interested in volunteering). I had to fill out several forms and when I was done, I was informed the "Happiness course" was $440 USD. In the USA, that is a lot of money. In India, you could feed a family for a year. It's just a touristy cult/scam that I wouldn't ever return to or recommend to anyone.

The park is vast, and many of the naturalized habitats for the local species are impressive and well-maintained. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, contributing to an overall positive atmosphere. ​However, a couple of significant issues prevented me from rating this as a perfect five-star experience. ​Firstly, I was disappointed that some of the highly anticipated major animals, notably the Lion and the Orangutan, were either absent or could not be found in their areas during our visit. This was a notable letdown for key species that many visitors hope to see. ​More importantly, I observed certain welfare concerns that I hope the park management addresses. Several animals appeared to be kept alone or with a very limited number of mates, which seemed sparse given their social nature. In a few cases, the enclosures seemed smaller than ideal, and I witnessed some animals exhibiting repetitive, stereotypic behaviors (pacing back and forth). This gave the distinct impression that they might be bored, stressed, or depressed due to the lack of space or social stimulation. Ensuring that all animals have adequate companionship and spacious, enriching enclosures is crucial for a park of this stature. ​Despite these issues, the overall variety of species and the natural beauty of the environment are undeniable. If the park could improve its exhibit list consistency and significantly upgrade the size and social conditions of the enclosures I mentioned, it would easily earn five stars.

Last week, I visited the Biological Zoo with my family. It was a very exciting and memorable trip. We saw many animals like lions, tigers, elephants, deer, giraffes and colorful birds. The best part of our visit was the safari. It was really thrilling to see the wild animals moving freely in the open area. We saw lions and tigers very closely from the safari bus and it felt like a real jungle adventure. The zoo was clean and well maintained. The staff guided us properly and we enjoyed taking many photos and videos together. It was a fun and educational experience for the whole family. I would love to visit again, especially for the safari ride.

It was amazing experience we went in the noon at 2:30pm for safari and it was so lively experience and kid will really enjoy this. The safari takes 45min and its amazing experience and the zoo inside there are many caged animals snakes as well. Well maintained and hygienic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting this biological park you’ve probably never seen so many animals in one place. The Bannerghatta Biological Park trail is about 2.2 km and takes at least 3 hours to complete. After that spend around 45 minutes at the Butterfly Park. It’s absolutely worth it with family or friends. There’s also a safari option though I didn’t opt for it you can check other reviews for that.

I recently visited Bannerghatta National Park, and honestly, it felt a bit overhyped. From the photos and reviews, I expected a proper wildlife experience, but in reality, it was more like an average zoo with a bus ride added in. We booked the safari bus since jeeps weren’t available, and that was fine — but the safari itself was quite disappointing. The entire 20–30 minute ride had barely 4–5 types of animals — deer, elephants, leopards, lions, and a small bear. It didn’t feel like we were in a natural habitat at all. The zones were just large fenced areas with a few animals each. For example, you start with deer and elephants, then after passing a gate you reach the leopard zone, where maybe 3–4 leopards can be seen resting near shelters. Same goes for lions and bears. It honestly felt like a zoo with a bus tour instead of walking. After the safari, we went to the zoo area, which was okay but again nothing great. There were only one or two animals of each species — a single giraffe, one tiger, one lion, etc. Variety was there, but it didn’t feel lively or well-maintained. The butterfly park was the best part of the entire visit. The entry fee was ₹50 per person, and it was worth it. The dome area filled with butterflies and greenery looked beautiful and peaceful — definitely the highlight of the day. Overall, Bannerghatta National Park is good for a one-time visit or a short family outing near Bangalore, but if you’re expecting a real safari or wildlife experience, you’ll probably be disappointed.

A major plus was the e-cycle ride, which is a fantastic way to cover the vast garden expanse. The rental seemed to have a flexible pricing, as I saw options for a short ride. I did a ride. We also caught the artificial waterfall near the lake, which operates on a fixed schedule. We saw it running from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM. It adds a nice, serene touch to the lake area when it's on. My one major feeling was a slight lack of a "zoo" or large animal presence (apart from birds), which I missed—it felt more like a purely botanical experience rather than a nature park with diverse wildlife. However, for a botanical garden, all the basic amenities and facilities are well-maintained. Conclusion ; If you are in Bengaluru, it's definitely worth a visit for a peaceful, nature-filled break and a lovely walk or cycle ride.

It was a beautiful experience. The day was 🌞 I went with my family to explore the beauty of this huge botanical garden that has flora species dating back to hundreds of years ago. Enchanting. ❤️😇 We took the ride for 45 mins which is charged ₹100 per person. The guide thoroughly took us to different locations of the botanical garden taking small stops at specific points. Nice place to worship Lord Krishna. Very well connected with metro and Bengaluru buses. In temple, darshan facilities, food & water facilities are good. Overall very good arrangements,cleanliness and nice experience. Only thing is no special feeling. It's like visiting any other temple. Visvesvaraya Industrial park is an awesome place to visit for kids and adults.. There was not much rush as we entered the park,however as time passed on kids from different schools poured in.. The joy you get while doing the experiments is priceless.. All have explanations written beneath it.. The 3D jungle show is also good.. There is a cafeteria and restroom.. The best park in Bangalore. Ample space to sit and relax. A lot of people come in to walk, run, play some fun games. Most bring their sheets to sit and spend quality time with their friends and families. Must visit.

Such a peaceful place to spend your weekend with friends and family. You can see a lot of people there but still you will get that privacy for enjoying a good time with your baby or your loved ones. There are some do's and dont's mentioned in the front area like no outside food, no playing, no gathering of more than 20 people etc so read before you enter. No entrance fee. Paid parking is there.

It's a good place to spend sometime exploring the history of bangalore's royals. I'm personally not a big fan though of such a place so it all depends on one's taste what they are expecting from it. The most unique thing i found was the display of wardrobe of the royal wadiyar family which gave a glimpse of what they used to wear. It's not a very big place. You can easily cover entire palace from inside in 30-40 mins and around 20-30 mins to explore the little garden area which is opposite the palace when you come out after visiting the palace. Photography inside palace is restricted in most areas barring few public corners. You can get some great views and pics with the palace from garden area. There is a per person ticket of ₹300/- (as in Sep 2025) which i felt was quite high but again it also depends what you have come to this place to explore. Ideally ticket must have been 50 or 100 rupees. Note. There is a metro station nearby that directly let's you enter inside a mall. If you're coming to this palace from that mall, avoid taking an auto or taxi from that area. Just walk a little ahead from the mall area and then hire an auto or best book using ola or rapido

Its good historical monument to be visited to understand how the Royal family used to live. There are audio description device available as well acting as guide while you visit the palace. Best time visit is ealry morning or evening if you want some stunning photos.

The outer view of the palace and the surrounding garden are fantastic. However, the number of historical items on display is quite limited, and the entire visit takes barely an hour. The ticket queue is usually short, and photography is not allowed inside the museum. The staff members are friendly. There are no food, water, or juice stalls available near the palace, which is a basic necessity. Overall, the experience was moderate. 👍

Not at all wheelchair accessible but I wish it was… my cousins took an audio tour of the palace and told me that it was a gorgeous palace and museum. Entry fee was Rupees 300 for Indian citizens and I wish they had taken a fee from me too and made it accessible… And the best part? There was actually a lift from the bygone days but now shut for public . Wish someone thought of a way to renovate it for us so we too could enjoy this place as others. #rpwdact2016

This place is situated near Nandi Hills. Great location and sceneries are really beautiful. We can do wine tasting here. If they have a system to check whether you are over 21+ for wine testing, it would have been a smooth process. Plan your visit during grapes season to see the grapes. Otherwise they will not allow. If you ask me the cost is more for just seeing the winery process. It is not a big area they are covering.

We had a fantastic experience at Grover Zampa Vineyard! The winery tour was informative, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the winemaking process. I always had in mind to visit the vineyard and finally got the chance in Bangalore... It was a great experience, got to know so many things about wine.. How it's made, how to choose as well as enjoy having it... Sonali was our tour guide for the day, she explained everything so well and we really enjoyed the tour. Wine tasting was fantastic where I get to taste 6 varities.. We had our lunch there, mini pizza platter and prawns, delicious fresh food.. Bought some amazing wines too.. Wanted to visit the grape fields as well but couldn't as this isn't the season for it.. May be next for time..

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Grover Zampa Vineyards, and it was an experience to remember. Located in the picturesque hills of Nandi, this vineyard offers a beautiful blend of scenic beauty and world-class wines. The vineyard's setting is absolutely stunning. Surrounded by lush greenery, the location itself is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The vineyard tour provides an educational yet enjoyable experience, giving insights into the winemaking process, right from grape cultivation to the final bottling The wine tasting session was a highlight of the visit. Grover Zampa offers a diverse range of wines, each with its unique flavor profile. The tasting included their signature varieties such as the Art Collection Sauvignon Blanc, La Réserve, and the Vijay Amritraj Reserve Collection. The sommeliers were knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience even more enriching. Restaurant is good and food is tasty. One thing which I observed is the lady brought plates on the table was doing cleaning and moping some time back at same place.

Nice lounge.. they also serve liquor which is chargeable. Food options are available. They also have live counter for dosa and parantha which is a nice add on. Their tea collection is really very nice. I loved their Kahwa dip tea which i haven't seen anywhere else till date. They also serve filter coffee which is very authentic in taste. Washrooms are also inside the premises. It's good for a stopover and get some snacks and drinks. Staff is nice too.

They take the efforts to decorate the premise as per festival season prevailing. Great ambience and ease of access, unlike other lounge situated at Kempagowda International Airport. Not a Fort, Just a Forgotten Wall This isn’t really a fort—more like a neglected stretch of wall that has seen better days. What could have been a beautiful tourist destination is now little more than ruins. Only the outer wall remains, and within it lies a small town or village settlement. There’s nothing particularly engaging or historic to see here. Unless you’re completely out of things to do and simply want a walk along an elevated wall-like structure, I wouldn’t recommend making the trip. Visit at your own risk.

The historical significance of Devanahalli fort is so important for south India. As the the ruler of the south 'Tipu Sultan' was born inside of this fort during the 1500AD. I had a great desire of visiting the fort but when I reached here, I am quite disappointed with how the fort is maintained. The fort has uneaten food left on the block and most part of the fort are filled with names of couples written all over the wall. I advice people to please not destroy such historically rich place. Other than that, there is no entry fees. And inside the fort, there is a village and several beautiful hindu temples. If you are visiting for the first time, I would recommend you to visit the fort. It's mainly an old wall, other than that there is not much to do here.

Devanahalli Fort is located 35 kilometers (22 mi) north of Bangalore city, at Devanahalli in the State of Karnataka, India. Chieftain Malla Byre Gowda of Avathi, a Vijayanagara empire vassal, built a mud fort in c. 1501 at Devanadoddi (now called Devanahalli). In the late 18th century, Hyder Ali re-constructed the fort in stone resulting in the current structure.

Nothing much to see, just saw the protective wall. It is near the birthplace of Tipu Sultan and was built by him. The techniques used by them to keep an eye on the enemy through the wall was commendable. There are some beautiful temples around. ASI hasn't put any effort in protecting it.
