This is truly a place you should visit at least once when in the UK. We had a short 3-day cycling trip here. Everything was wonderful — from the scenery to the people. Just a note: you should prepare an offline map before coming, as in some areas the signal is very weak and you can hardly use online maps.

The rebirth of Foxlease Park, nice to see it back up and running, volunteered here back in February? And it was just nice to see it with life and music... Nice little room in the coach house, could do with an extra pillow, but nice time.

When the sun dips behind the trees and the light softens, the New Forest becomes pure magic. Walking along winding paths — sometimes straight through the woods — feels effortless with the fresh scent of nature all around. 25 km passed without me even noticing, just chilling, absorbing the atmosphere, and enjoying the calm. Perfect time of day to visit if you want peace, beauty, and that grounding forest energy. ⭐️ Highly recommend: come in the late afternoon, slow down, and let the forest do the rest #newforest

Went there with my father now 94, loved the cars, remined him of the old days, we used to have fords then. Only comment is the coffer shops when busy seems to take forever. otherwise great place to visit.

The New Forest is a brilliant place for families, especially with kids. The free-roaming ponies, donkeys, and other animals make it feel magical, and places like the Wildlife Park add more chances to see deer, otters, and birds. There are plenty of easy walking trails too, such as at Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary, and lots of open spaces that are perfect for picnics. Camping is well set up with designated sites, ranging from rustic fields to family-friendly spots with toilets and showers. Wild camping isn’t allowed, but the official sites give you space for kids to play and a good base to explore. Shops are small village stores or farm shops rather than big supermarkets, and toilets are generally available at visitor centres, though sometimes basic. The park doesn’t really have a big lake for swimming or boating, and indoor play options are limited, so it’s very much an outdoor destination. If you’re prepared for nature, fresh air, and a slightly rustic feel, the New Forest is a wonderful family escape where children can explore freely and see animals up close.

Beautiful place to go loads of open spaces for people to walk and cycle. Large areas for children play. Beautiful river at brockenhurst where you can often see horses and foals, cattle and sometimes donkeys and pigs.

Gorgeous place, well worth a visit if you appreciate nature. The ponies are such a treat to see. It’s also great for beginner cyclists as it has the Old Railway route created by Cycling UK. I felt like I was in a renaissance oil painting at times because the sights were so beautiful. Make sure to get out early to admire the sights as it gets very busy in August.

A must see. The castle is huge and very interesting to visit. One can see the different periods of time of its occupation. The interiors exhibit very well reconstructed rooms. The garden is very rich and diverse. The stumpery was our favorite part, in particular thanks to the autumn colours. Full tour of the castle and gardens took us about 3 hours.

Stunning castle for history, art, and design lovers! Walking through the castle and keep felt like entering one of my many childhood drawings. The weather was lovely and the gardens made me si happy—there are greenhouses to visit, a rose garden, ponds, and so many wonderful interiors for a great day trip from London. Thank you!

Such an incredible experience! Visiting from the states, so I don't get a lot of castle tours, but this one was simply exceptional. From the gardens, to the castle tour, to the guides, and the cafe, we left with an amazing experience and tons of stunning shots! Highly recommend planning for a sunny day to enjoy the beautiful gardens. Truly an unforgettable experience! The setups were stunning to see and the staff was more than friendly and informative. Plus, the food was great! We shared a sausage roll and pasty, but ate it too quickly to snap a photo! If you're in the area, or wanting to make a day trip to the south, can't suggest Arundel further! It took us three to four hours to clear the grounds and castle altogether- it's worth the ticket!

Lovely place. Bit pricey, but the castle and grounds are huge, so you can spend most of the day there. It's really well set up, with a specific route that takes you through the whole castle and learn about its history. The gardens are equally stunning. Great visit. Would recommend.

Google's 50 picture limit means I can't show you the superior quality of this place. My favourite castle in the country, somewhere I've always wanted to visit, and by a long way the best one I've ever been to. I loved every second of being in here, I'd do it all again. The Duke of Norfolk is a very lucky man, to own this place must be a very special experience.

11th century castle has impressive grounds and you can explore the castle. Very informative volunteers who are happy to showcase the part of the castle they are located in. Beautiful gardens. The gift shop is lovely. One of the first houses to be fitted with electrical lights. Closes soon in early November

The most beautiful castle I've ever been too. Have visited before pre baby and did the whole castle, but attended again recently to visit the gardens only as had the baby in the pram which is not accessible in the castle for prams. It was absolutely stunning and better than I remembered. Looked extra lovely in the sunshine. Gardens were beautiful. The garden cafe was great, friendly lady there. Toilets also clean and spacious. We also met the lovely little puppy Titus who was wondering the grounds with it's owner.

Nice selection of birds, so many pretty varieties that we had never seen before. The parrots and cockatoos were entertaining with their chatter and whistles. There are a couple of walk-through areas where you can get up close to the birds. The main cafe area at the entrance is nice with outdoor seating overlooking the gardens. There is another cafe/kiosk, but this was closed when we visited. They are building a new play area which looks like it's going to be quite large. We spent around 3 hours there slowly walking around. For the kids, there is a dinosaur trail. The car park is large and free. Toilets and baby change areas were clean. There is quite a large gift shop. We had a nice half day wandering around.

Larger than expected but very interesting. There are all sorts of birds and plenty to see. For those with children, there are plenty of play bits for them to play and for those without there are benches where you can sit and watch the birds. The park is accessible for wheelchair users. Visually impaired folk will definitely benefit from taking a sighted guide.

Good place to visit after the upgrade made for kids but could have also added play center for toddler separately. The dinosaurs were good additions. Food-wise need to have more options and for the entry price paid the experience is bit on lower end with the birds. The bird world itself has not been updated fully and they seem old n neglected. Finally the parking facilities are lacking with very small spaces considering most visitors are with toddlers and kids and are of low quality.

I am disabled and cannot walk. Please see the end of the review for the only problem i had. Visited today with my wife daughter and her husband and two granddaughter's. We had a great time loads to see and do the birds are great and well displayed. The granddaughter's loved the play areas. All the staff are great. Helpfull, polite and a credit to bitdworld. on the whole it was easy to get round on a mobility class 3 mobility scooter. I have only one complaint and that there was a problem and that is with the disabled toilets it may not sound much but if you are like me on A Class 3 mobility scooter and cannot walk at all it is impossible sitting on one of those scooters and opening a door towards you. I do wish the people who designed these toilets would actually try to get in there whilst at on a large mobility scooter. It takes away your independence completely when you can't even open the door to get in. To pull a door open and hold it open while you driving is completely impossible. I really really wish that somebody would actually try it to see what I mean. Is bad enough being stuck on one of those things without having to ask a complete stranger to hold the door open for you. Please would one of your staff get hold of one of those scooters and try it.

New park is amazing. The kids loved the activity sheet and the dinosaur trail. Can't wait for the new play barn. Food was fresh and good. Only down side, they do not have a changing table for disabled guests, but we were told we could use the first aid one.

A popular day out for us or even a quick stop after nursery to run off extra energy. We invested in the membership this year and have visited Birdworld very regularly to explore every nook and cranny it has to offer. The bonus features of the dinosaur trail, bird bath and adventure play have been a treat too. There are so many beautiful birds and really helpful information about them to learn and raise awareness of endangered species, as well as regular talks from the team who present it so well. The birds are well looked after and the park is so pretty with greenery, flowers, water features, bird photography and beautiful interactive displays of information. There is lots to do for all ages. The paths are wheelchair and buggy accessible and plenty of loo facilities around the park. Lots of parking space and the check-in process is simple and quick even on busy days. Even when the park is busy it doesn’t feel crowded as there’s lots of space to run around, and benches to sit on.

Perfect for all. Not too long to walk around (you could probably rush it in half hour) took us a couple of hours to see everything, but there's plenty of extra play areas and games to keep kids entertained. Special experiences like feeding the penguins are extra, but well worth it.

I visited here a lot when I was younger and it's changed so much in the 15/18 years I've not been here! But all for the greater good. It's so lovely to walk around, see all the animals thriving in big enclosures. We loved walking through the lemars and the lady in there was full of so much information on them. The new bear enclosure was fantastic and even accessible for wheelchairs/buggies to goto the top. Lovely play park for the kids to burn off some extra energy. Small little reptile part ( which i was gutted at, years ago they had huge snakes!) but it was still worth the visit. We didn't visit the cafe so I can't comment on that. The toilets were clean and easy to find. Gift shop is full to the brim of goodies. Lovely visit. Thank you

This is honestly an amazing sanctuary / zoo. There were so many species of rescued animals including bears, tigers, lions, and even a White Lion! These species are very rare and I never thought I would see one! The talks and feeds were amazing and there is lots of interesting information about the animals there and how they were rescued. Personally the racoon and skunk feed was the best. Overall, it was one of the best zoos / sanctuaries and was definitely one of my top 5. Highly recommend for you to go there.

I had such a wonderful time at this sanctuary/zoo! There are so many rescued animals—from bears to tigers—and each one has a unique story that really pulls at your heartstrings. The staff are incredibly friendly and passionate about the animals, making the experience feel even more special. I also loved the cafe! While the food was decent, the coffee was the real highlight—absolutely amazing! It was the perfect pick-me-up after wandering around and soaking up all the fascinating information about the animals and their rescues. Overall, this place is truly a gem. I’d rank it in my top five zoos/sanctuaries for sure. If you’re looking for a fun day out that’s both enjoyable and meaningful, I highly recommend giving this place a visit! You won’t regret it.

A wonderful morning out. Friendly informative staff. Clean cafe and toilets. Great to meet the animals with their knowledgeable keepers. Enjoyed feeding the koi carp. Children's play area looked amazing. Loved seeing the bears.

We had a lovely few hours at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary! It was lovely to see all the animals and the new Bear enclosure is really good. The park is also a great way to run off some energy for the little ones.

Loved our visit during half term. We visit the IOW yearly & have never been before but will visit again! The 2 for 1 kids offer during half term was a great saving! The place is tidy & some great animals to see. The bears were fascinating to watch. We all have a fab day.

It's worth a visit to see the bears alone! Their new enclosure is great and it's lovely to see them settling into their forever home after a tragic start to life. The rest of the sanctuary is well kept and lots of interesting animals to see. It's well worth a visit of your passing!

Wonderful summer holiday home for Victoria & Albert and their family. Gorgeous house filled with collected art objects, souvenirs and tributes from around the world. The grounds are beautiful and it's clear the royal family enjoyed Osborne House where they could relax and be themselves.

Such a beautiful place to go. With lots of history and beautiful scenery. The staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. This is highly recommended if you visit the Isle of Wight.

We had a splendid time at Basildon Park. The house is beautiful, my favourite room was the Seashell Room. Volunteers from National Trust were so friendly and full of historical information. We didn’t get a chance to have a long walk outside but we did manage to have a lovely short one after picking up a bite at the cafe. Look forward to coming back for a longer walk & a visit to the gift shop.

Fine manor house with plenty of woodland and pasture to explore. There’s ample parking which is a good thing as it’s only really possible to get there by car. The manor has great architecture and is very well maintained. There’s a cafe there but the food is a little below the standard I’d expect for a national trust venue.

Basildon Park is such a charming mix of history and glamour! Built in the 18th century for Sir Francis Sykes and later owned by James Morrison, the house even fell into disuse during WWII before being rescued in the 1950s by Lord and Lady Iliffe. I loved exploring the rooms and viewing framed personal family photos and other mementos. It was also fun discovering the home’s on-screen fame—right now there’s a 20th anniversary exhibition celebrating all the films and TV shows shot here, from Pride and Prejudice to Downton Abbey, and The Crown. The National Trust has done a great job keeping both the house and its lovely grounds inviting, so it’s easy to imagine life here across the centuries.

The lush green fields, meandering river Thames, glorious countryside, and the Mansion full of colourful history. Each room tells a story and the Mansion was the shooting location of at least five films between 2005 - 2020, Pride & Prejudice, Dorian Gray, Downton Abbey, The Gentlemen, and Belgravia. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable who are ready to answer any question you may have. The whole palace is kept immaculately clean and the public facilities are excellent.

Lovely NT property in stunning surroundings. You can see why so many film makers have chosen it! Stunning house interior including one of the UK's last surviving Georgian ceilings. Nice courtyard team room in the house too. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house with an interesting history. Exciting to visit if you're a fan of historic drama showa like Downton Abbey or Pride and Prejudice. Has lovely walks around the parkland. Loved the sea shell collection - never seen anything like it. Was amazing to see the Downton Abbey dresses on exhibition.

Great place!! I loved the atmosphere. We did the tour and the guide was absolutely incredible. When I got into the green house it smelled like my country (Colombia). The smell of the tropical plants made my hart happy.

What a fantastic time here at Bombay ! From the initial movie, tour of the grounds, green house where the flowers/herbs are displayed & of course the cocktail making classes made for an unforgettable experience. The entire staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. If you're a Bombay Sapphire Gin lover I would highly suggest a day here to truly get to know the history of this fantastic gin ! You won't be disappointed & be very sure you have a designated driver to you can experience all the different flavors of Bombay !

This is one of the best distillery tours I’ve ever done! The Bombay Sapphire grounds are really beautiful, everything from the greenhouse to the building itself. The tour was really informative about the Gin and history of the Brand. The cocktail masterclass was so well done, really fun and interactive, the drinks were great too and really focussed on completing the alcohol, not sickly sweet and packed with sugar like other masterclasses I’ve done. You can definitely spend a whole day at this place in the gorgeous setting! I’d highly recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic 1.5 hour tour of the distillery with a gin and tonic or mocktail to kick off the tour. Luke our guide was very informative and entertaining. There is a gift shop, cafe and bar to stretch out your visit.

It was above my expectation of this visit💙💙💙 It really worths coming here with enthusiastic guide (Thank you Mr Mark) and real luxe experience of Gin tasting and iconic glass house that I can see in my real eye. Nesting in a pure village and area as such, the Gin is really a good /premium one. The bar, the shop are also eye catching with the price is better than you buy in super market or drink shop. There are 2 special versions that you can only buy here when visit so do no Miss💙It was such a brilliant day being here💙

The Needles Landmark Attraction is absolutely worth visiting – a true highlight of the Isle of Wight! The views are breathtaking, and the chairlift ride is an unforgettable experience, offering stunning sights of the cliffs, sea, and the famous Needles. It’s something everyone should try at least once. There are a couple of small areas that could be improved. The food section could offer a bit more variety and quality, and clearer signage for the beach path (especially placed above the queue area) would make things easier for visitors. That said, the chairlifts themselves were excellent – smooth, safe, and such a unique way to take in the scenery. Overall, a fantastic attraction that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Isle of Wight. Don’t miss it!

Lovely place to visit on the Ilse of Wight. It was a very windy day on our visit to the Needles. We took a trip on the cable car that takes you down to the foreshore,what an experience it was as your lowered over the cliff edge. There is plenty of things to do to keep the kids occupied and the area is disabled friendly. There is a lovely coffee shop selling tea and coffee,soft drinks and cakes ect. A couple of gift shop also. Toilets on site are clean. Large car park. £6.00 per vehicle, £4.00 if a member of the National trust. Also there is a beautiful glass shop.

We went in a bank holiday. Narrow roads leading to the site along with many coaches and cars. We paid £6 for the car park and disabled were allowed to park at the bottom on the field but it was still a mobility navigation issue getting down to the main road. It was very busy. We walked through there gates and had an ice cream with flake. There were many tables with seating but these were mainly full with people eating the various foods (curry was in the air) and picnics. As we walked through the site along- the chair lifts were on the right and the queue to get in was vast. We stood on the platform at the end overlooking the needles . We don’t use the telescope but the pictures bought it closer. For us it was hot and crowded and we stayed about 1.5hrs. Makes the parking expensive . Didn’t know about the boat trip.

Lots of fun for the whole family. Recommend a ride on the chair lift to Alum Bay where you will find the beautiful coloured sands. There are steps down to the beach. You can also get a boat to The Needles to see them from the sea. There are cafes, shops, crazy golf and rides to go on.

This view is simply unforgettable and so relaxing! The vast blue sky, the sea, and the dramatic green cliffs make for pure natural beauty. The best part was the unexpected rainbow over the water—it was truly amazing! Highly recommend a visit here for the stunning views.

You have to visit The Needles when you come to Isle of Wight! We loved our The Needles visit! We paid £10 each for return tickets for the chairlift option to get down to the small Needles beach! Totally worth it saves us from climbing up and down the steep staircase! And then when we got to the bottom of the beach, we paid another extra £9 each for a 20mins boat ride which is also another must do, the boat guide was excellent and very knowledgeable on the whole of the needles landmark!

Amazing views and a fun place to visit. The chairlift ride is the highlight, giving you fantastic views of the Needles and the bay. Easy to get around, plenty of parking, and great for photos.

Absolutely stunning Castle and very informative and professional tour. We also had a wonderful lunch and tea service with plenty of cakes and desserts along with our pre-booked castle tour. Our tour guide Sarah was wonderful and gave us all the details necessary to truly appreciate this beautiful castle. We learned a lot about the Lord and Lady Carnavron and about the history of the castle and the families who have called this beautiful place home. We were able to walk among the gardens and that was stunning. There should be an entire page dedicated to the fantastic Egyptian antiquities exhibit found as part of this tour!

We had a wonderful time at Highclere Castle .It was the second last day on my trip to the U.K . The grounds are beautiful and the castle stunning . Could not take photos inside it take my word it is worth a visit. The staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about their job . When you walk through those huge wooden doors you think you have walked into a Downton Abbey set .

We enjoyed our time at Highclere immensely. The staff was very helpful and friendly, answered all our questions and we even walked down the beautiful staircase. Unfortunately you are not able to take photos inside but it was lovely to be in the moment taking it all in and enjoying it. Do go and take the picnic tea, however note that it could easily work for 3-4 people not just 2! Wonderful day. 5 stars.

This was an great stop on our way to Heathrow after disembarking from our cruise ship in Southampton. We enjoyed the gardens however suggest if you get to castle at 9:30 to 10:00 am cue up for the castle first then do the gardens. Oh, and if you already have tickets printed, don't get in the cue, go to the right and scan for direct entrance. Thanks to the lovely women who mentioned that to us. The self guided tour of the castle and gardens is great. We purchased the Tea lunch which was super fun. More than enough for for two...we were three and could have easily fed four. Overall a nice way to cap a great 10 days of cruising before a 16 hour journey home back to Seattle/Tacoma.

Simply amazing visit. With the castle decorated for Christmas in a victorian style this year it is currently only open for prebooked private tours. Visiting on a day when the rain made the sky's dark and deluged us all just added to the atmosphere. A lovely afternoon tea in a very cosy marquee competed our visit. Although not a cheap day, it was certainly worth it for the experience. A lovely welcome from the countess herself and a truly excellent guide for the house as well as the very atmospheric Egyptian collection in the cellar made this a true day to remember.

The house was breathtaking when we saw it for the first time, walking up the drive and was even bigger than it looked like in Downton Abbey. The grounds are huge with lovely gardens and walks. The only down side being that you can’t take bags or eat your own picnic in the grounds. Nevertheless, a day very well spent!

The inside was very interesting too and felt surprisingly cosy although still opulent in parts. Lovely tea shop which was very reasonable. I paid £3.50 for a fresh scone with clotted cream and jam. Gift shop is a bit different with some interesting bits too... including bottles of their own gin.

I was completely amazed by the sheer number and variety of items in this museum's collection. From ancient pottery to classical paintings, there was so much to discover. The way the museum is divided into different geographical and chronological sections is brilliant—it felt like taking a trip around the world and through the ages. It's an absolute must-see for both tourists and locals. Don't miss it!

I wanted to see the Tradescant collection, from the English settlement period of Virginia, Powhatans mantle specifically. It was an easy day trip from London Paddington station. Ut turned out to be my favorite museum! So many world treasures! Beautiful exhibit designs, lovely lighting. The rich colors compliment the objects and time periods. Labels easy to read. Nice, quick-lunch cafe, big enough to rest a few minutes before going on. More manageable size compared to The British Museum.

The museum is wonderful. I visited in very limited time. I recommend that you take enough time to get better information because there are many galleries in the museum,from Ancient History to modern art. The Pissarro gallery, which includes the works of C.Pissarro, V.Gogh and E.Manet, is definitely worth seeing. I hope to travel again. Because it was a very good experience.

Nice museum, well spaced, they have free entrance but encourga donations. I donated buy gettin the map which is 2£. It was walkable and had well structured displays. Also had some interactive ones. Worth a visit if you are in Oxford.

The museum’s huge , we had the luxury of time so did each floor on separate days. It’s well planned so you can walk around in a seamless tour. Lots of detail explaining exhibits. Nice cafe in the basement and I could have spent a fortune on the shop!

We visited this museum to specifically see the exhibition THIS IS WHAT YOU GET STANLEY DONWOOD | RADIOHEAD | THOM YORKE Running until 18 Jan 2026 I’d definitely recommend seeing this exhibition before it finishes. What a find! Free entry to the rest of the museum. So much to see we didn’t get to see it all. Some fascinating pieces.

It is a lovely day to visit Oxford on 20 nov 2025. First stop to visit is Ashmolean Museum. There are many exhibitions round the round. Egypt, Greece, middle East, India , Asia. Comprises of many floors. Lift is available for special needs people to visit. Very well illustration of every display. Require many hours to go through slowly. It is free entry. The palace is very nice. If you're passing through Woodstock and have the time go in and visit the place. Beside visiting the inside of the palace you can have a nice walk around the place. For Harry Potter fans if you cross the Vanbrugh's Grand Bridge and turn left you'll come across The Harry Potter Tree from the 1st movie in the series. In the park you'll find The Column of Victory. The staff are nice and can answer your questions. Best is to buy tickets in advanced. In the summer be prepared for large groups. The parking lot is big, coaches can also park inside. The inside is very nicely decorated, you'll find many paintings, sculptures. Beside seeing how the upper folks lived, the palace is also very famous for beeing the birthplace of the 1st Duke's famous descendat, Winston Churchill. The back grounds offer a nice view over River Glyme. The cafeteria looks nice but the prices are too high.

We had an amazing day here. The staff were very friendly and were quick to let us know that the palace was not in its usual appearance due to the Christmas trails and Palace of Oz. There were amusement rides and also Christmas Markets. But it was still amazing. We almost didn't go however as the website didn't give us the option to purchase any tickets saying there were no spots available. We rang and the information line said show up and there may be tickets. There were, the Palace was not busy at all. So there maybe a website issue. We got here easily on the bus from Oxford. An easy walk from the bus stop. No need to bring a car if you can walk. We loved the special event and walking the grounds. A great day.

The place is stunning, surrounded by beautiful lakes and gardens. However, we arrived only two hours before closing and were not informed that this wouldn’t be enough time to explore the whole palace. We purchased the highest ticket category, but it would have been better if the staff had advised us to choose a lower one. The ticket prices are quite high, and I suggest providing golf carts inside the grounds due to the large area

Came 25th October 2025 for the Halloween event. First impressions weren’t great as the advertised fairground was just three attractions - one of which (the ghost house) was laughably bad. The food and drink vans were also poor - I was expecting better than something you’d see at your local Sunday market! The Halloween trail itself went some way to making up for that and was fantastic in places. The live actors were also great and weren’t too scary for the kids. The placing of a toasted marshmallow seller and bar at the half way point was also a great touch and broke up what otherwise would have been a 20 minute walkthrough. We ended up going round twice as we didn’t anticipate it being so sunny and wanted to see it in all its glory during twilight. There is significant room for improvement though e.g. the UFO scene was a great idea poorly executed with no attempt to dress the lighting rig up as a spaceship. A live actor dressed as an alien here would also have helped. Overall it felt sparse and needed more. In saying that, my niece and nephew both enjoyed themselves so maybe I’m being too critical. Still, I expected more for the money.

It is worth a visit. It is a beautiful palace, with beautiful history behind it. I enjoyed the visit. Also it has a small restaurant on the premises, the soup I had was delightful and matched the cold weather. The palace also contained a small shop, it contains beautiful things and since Christmas is coming the shop is full of Christmas decorations and ornaments. Since I am from a foreign country, we don't have such beautiful ornaments here. I had to buy a lot to bring home with me. Hopefully next time I visit the palace ( definitely will ) I will try to visit in summer so I can enjoy the beautiful gardens more.

Marvelous palace...each detail perfectly managed. The beauty....the art is magnificent. The gardens are breathtaking... The place get still more special with the kind people that work there. Everybody that I have meet. Already planning the next time..... Not just five stars, a constellation 😘😘😘

Christmas at Blenheim. The Palace theme was Wizard of Oz. Lots of beautiful decorations and animations. Very busy attraction, which made the journey round abit slow, but it didn't spoil the walk around. Christmas market had a nice selection of small stalls selling alsorts of trinkets, food and drink. The food trucks were varied but all very expensive. The light trail is different again this year. New additions throughout the trail which is great if your an annual visitor as I am. Great displays along the whole trail. We enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely return next year.

Plenty of parking, free to cadw, English heritage, and historic Scotland. Very Busy even at 10am. Free Busses taking visitors down every 5 to 10 mins. And bringing back. No going on the stones. Very impressive visitors centre. Toilets, shop, cafe. All wheelchair friendly. Great audio guide app. Friendly staff. Soooo many nationalities visiting. Heard soooooo many languages. Wonderful place to visit. Better when not so many people, but over a million people visit so not any quiet time.

Stonehenge is such a fascinating and historic site, the place is visible from the road itself and is also very good for capturing photos, especially during sunrise or sunset when the light hits the stones beautifully. The visitor centre is well-organised with clear information about the history and significance of the site. Definitely a must-see spot in the UK

Fascinating experience. This place is free to visit for English Heritage and National Trust member. There is shop, cafe, toilet and exhibition at the visitor centre. Shuttle bus is available every 5 to 10 minutes to take visitor from visitor centre to the stones. But if you choose to walk to the stones and enjoy it is convenient too. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking and it’s free if you are an English Heritage member or else you need to pay £3.

I didn’t go through the visitor center — instead I took a lovely, easy path through the fields. The walk was beautiful and peaceful, and it leads you right up close to Stonehenge without needing to pay. The site itself is amazing and well-kept. Totally worth it, especially if you prefer a quiet nature walk over the crowded official route.

Stonehenge is iconic for a reason—the sight of the massive stones rising from the landscape is truly impressive. The visitor centre has good information and a shuttle that takes you to the monument, making the experience smooth and well-organized. Parking is available on-site and easy to navigate, though it can get busy during peak hours. The walking trail around the stones is well laid out, offering great views from different angles. You can’t get too close, but the path still gives you plenty of opportunities for photos and quiet moments to take in the atmosphere. Overall, a memorable visit if you appreciate history, engineering, or a unique landscape.

Absolutely breathtaking! Visiting Stonehenge was such an unforgettable experience. The site is peaceful, fascinating, and has this incredible sense of history and mystery about it. Seeing it in person is completely different from photos, it really makes you stop and take it all in. The area is well maintained, the shuttle service is convenient, and the museum and exhibits add great context to what you’re seeing. We went as a family and everyone enjoyed it. Even the kids were amazed by how massive and perfectly arranged the stones are. Definitely worth the trip if can squeeze it in when visiting England! If I was local, would be cool to see during the winter and summer solstice.

Decent place to visit. 1. 30 pounds to visit is outrageous. Better to walk the trail (visitor car park to stonehedge- 30 min each way) and view for free. 2. After reaching the entrance a lad would ask if you have tickets, if you say no he will show you from where to enter the trail. 3. There's a long queue for the bus, to and fro, wait time is minimum 15 mins, walking could be quicker

Great wildlife park to visit. It's in the middle of nowhere, parking is great, animals are super accessible and the people are so nice. The cost was very reasonable. There are loads of different animals (wolverine, red panda, rhinos, lions, giraffes, ant eaters, rover otters, and lemurs to name a few.) The train around the park was quaint. I'd recommend visiting anytime. Ooooo, and there is an adventure park for the kids to play at if you just want to chill for thirty minutes with a 10" sausage!

Really good day out, helped by being very reasonable weather for the time of year. No rain, not too cold, some sunshine. It was busy, being half term, but manageable and well organised. The restaurant was very busy at midday but is was moving quickly and tables being cleaned regularly. Not too long to wait for decent hot food. The animals looked well cared for and their enclosures really well thought out. Definitely more than enough to see in one day. The Rhinos seemed to be part of a successful breeding program. Throughout my childhood there were only 3 then 2 rhinos. Now there seemed to be 7 including some very cute looking young ones. The grounds were particularly impressive considering the time of year. Clearly a lot of effort goes into maintaining it this well. All in all would definitely recommend for a day out.

We couldn't access cheaper tickets as we were buying tickets on the day. However the price seemed reasonable. We had a fabulous daym. The grounds and gardens looked beautiful especially as it was autumn with all the beautiful colours. Plenty to keep us occupied and we wished we had arrived earlier. Lots of fascinating frogs, insects, snakes and bats. Some animal such as the apes and birds seemed a bit limited for space although all seemed well cared for. The lions were lively and the range of animals great. Highlights have to be seeing baby rhinos Mo and Marcus. Mo was indoors staying close to mum. Marcus was outdoors with mum and extended family...he put on quite a show with excitable bounds. Great to see such an endangered species thriving here. The train wasn't running as it was off season.

I have visited with my kids. The place is very well maintained, the animals all seem happy and well kept, and there are some gorgeous spieces. You may need a full half day to enjoy possibly more if the weather is good. The restaurant (self service) is ok quality, the queue to get food may be about 30 mins and outside (so if it's raining you'll get wet).

Loved this park. Well laid out and loads of animals to see. Great for kids and adults alike. Really nice to get up close with the various animals. Good parking area, shop ans restaurant available. We will be back.

Great place to visit. Never been before and I was so surprised we have place like this near us. So many different animals, taken great care of them. I would recommend to anyone. Its a great place to spend a day there. There is something for everyone.

As someone who often goes to zoos I would say it's one of the best in the whole country! So many animals to see and you can get nice and close. The walls are placed well for toddlers to see without needing to be picked up the whole time and my dog was able to come and adored seeing zoo animals for the first time. The animals looked very well looked after. The staff were very friendly and chatty and really knew their stuff. We even met the owner who knew every staff member by name and was very polite. The site is well laid out and very clean. There is even a little train which goes around most of the zoo which was the perfect way to keep a toddler moving on with promise of seeing the train to past. Overall such a lovely day.

What started as a quick detour on our way back to London turned into the most relaxed shopping experience we've had in ages! Arriving two hours before closing on Friday was absolutely brilliant timing - no crowds, no stress, just peaceful browsing through a genuinely charming outlet. The £2.50 parking felt totally reasonable, and honestly, it was refreshing not getting gouged like at some places. The covered design is genius! While most UK outlets leave you battling whatever weather throws at you, this place keeps you cozy year-round. Perfect for our unpredictable seasons. We snagged some great sporting goods and fashion bargains - yes, "discount" designer prices are still pricey, but definitely better than full retail madness. The food court and coffee shops were perfect for a quick break, and everything felt clean and well-managed. Two hours flew by exploring this compact but well-curated space. It's refreshingly manageable - you can actually see everything without feeling overwhelmed. Our spontaneous stop turned into a thoroughly pleasant shopping adventure that left us both happy and satisfied!

Visited the Swindon Designer Outlet mainly for clothes and shoe shopping and was really pleased with the variety and the deals available. Lots of well-known brands and genuine discounts, so it’s easy to find something good without paying full price. The whole outlet has a nice, relaxed atmosphere, clean, bright, and well organised. It’s great that most of it is covered too, so the weather doesn’t spoil your day. There are several cafés and restaurants, and I appreciated that a few have halal options, which made eating there much easier and more enjoyable. They also got solat / prayer / multi-faith room near to Clarks, Slim Chickens, French Connection. It’s also very family-friendly, with play areas for children and plenty of space to walk around with buggies. You can easily make it a half-day trip with the family; shopping, eating, and letting the kids have some fun. Parking can get quite busy, especially on weekends, but overall it was a really good experience. I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxed shopping day with family or friends.

All I can say is this is the best Designer Outlet I have been too! Although M&S Outlet didn’t have any air con it was too hot in there. Besides that they have a very good brands at the Outlet. Worth a visit if you’re driving along the M4.

This place is a hidden shopping gem in Swindon. There are a host of Mid level brands available to shop at. There are also a lot of food outlet like Five Guys, Starbucks, Mexican etc. The toilets are clean and makes me feel ive got a bit of Dubai in Swindon.lol. It was a good place for me to kill time before my train. There is also a dedicated play area for children.

I really do like this mall. Although its not massive, it has a good variety of stores for shopping, and particularly boasts a great selections of places to eat and drink. I frequent this place regularly and can say that its always been impeccably clean and seemingly well-run. Kudos to the staff and management.

It's ok. Best part is that the management company were able to use a world class old building to develop as an outlet, complete with stream locomotive and historic plaques

Nice set of shops, not the largest outlets around though. Parking is plentiful and free for blue badge holders. Nice system of scanning the blue badge when returning to the car to get the free parking.

A magical place. So wonderful to just wander around the stones, the trees. Plenty of places to eat and drink. The 'Elements' shop is incredible.. Don't miss it. The museum is pretty small but worth visiting. Parking in Avebury is a problem... Only paid.. But if you want to do a bit of walking, you can park outside the village in a by lane and walk in as I did getting extra sites in like 'The Sanctuary ' and some barrows too. Totally worth visiting!!!

I always enjoy neolithic ruins/monuments and this is definitely one of the better ones I've been too. Plenty of formations and other things to see and walk to in the surrounding area as well. Definitely recommend.

Avebury is a magical place, defo worth the visit. The stone circle here feels more alive and peaceful unlike Stonehenge that can get very crowded as you can imagine, it's freely open to walk among the stones and feel the ancient energy of the place! The village, the museum, as well as the nice nearby trails making it a perfect day-trip for anyone interested in history, spirituality, or just a beautiful walk through the English countryside.

This was an amazing site to see and visit. The stone circles were spectacular. The fact that you can still go up to them and touch them, is a huge positive. The only thing lacking were benches, for older, handicapped or special needs people to sit on.

As a member of English heritage we didn't have to pay parking but people were moaning about having to pay for a full day no other options and £8 to much. We went in the museum which explained a lot about the excavations and all the artifacts that were found in the ditches. The walk around the stones was getting muddy with all the rain but it was still a good day out.

Worth the visit. I thought better than going to Stonehenge, only have to play for parking, you can walk around the stones and village for free. Bigger layout than Stonehenge, but not quite as spectacular stones.

This is a picturesque and historic attraction nestled in the Cotswolds. Built in the late 18th century, this iconic folly sits atop one of the highest points in the region, offering breathtaking views that stretch across multiple counties on a clear day. We arrived after closing time after 5pm. So, we parked just on the side road close to the entrance without needing to pay. I would say :narrow road nearer to the tower to drive. Didn't go in the tower but the views are worth the hike. Great shop and cafe. There is a pay park at the top during opening time. Not recommended for disabled access as there's a moderately steep hill & a good 10-15 minute walk. Lovely views over the countryside when you get there though & the Tower is majestic when you come to it. As it's quite small, you do have to wait for others to come so we didn't go inside on our visit. It's £5 to park, £14 per adult to go up the tower and £12 for the nuclear bunker experience. Views from the hill outside the tower however are free and spectacular, Visitors can explore its small but informative museum, enjoy peaceful walks through the surrounding country park, and even tour a Cold War-era bunker nearby.

First time visiting Broadway Tower and its park. You can visit the park for free and see the deers and the beautiful view overlooking the countryside. It’s nice if you like to have a long and quiet walk. I personally haven’t walked around much as if was raining but I visited the inside. The tower is quite small with only three rooms to see and a rooftop. You always have an audio guide with some audios and videos to see. Here you can learn about the history of the tower and also some immersive stories. It is very interesting. The tower is beautiful inside and out. During Christmas it’s decorated so even more magical. The view from the rooftop is also amazing. I spent around 45 minutes inside but I listened to the audioguide. If you don’t, you can visit the tower for 20 minutes or less. So I recommend only if you’re interested in history and want to take your time. However I think the ticket is a bit expensive for the size of the tower. At least you contribute to the maintenance so it’s a good thing but the ticket could be a bit less expensive.

Wow simply an awesome little find on our travels in the Cotswold. We Drove straight past it and saw a busy carpark, and as we drove around the corner saw the gorgeous view's and the glorious Tower. So we did a U-Turn and drove back to the carpark, which from our days experience was really cheap £3. We had totally no Idea what we stumbled across , so parked up and went for a stomp around to see what it was all about. We spent a magical couple hours walking, looking around the tower and around the Nuclear Bunker. We only walked the outside, and didn't go inside, but what an amazing gorgeous walk with a couple of distance options for young , old and the enthusiastic. When you decide you have seen enough and had enough fresh air, the Cafe Bar, is a real mix of Joe blogs general public just wanting a coffee and snack or indulge if fine wine and fine food . It's a real mix lovelyness inside. This place is simply a must stop off point on your journey. It was

An impressive landmark with great views but massively overpriced. We paid £3 to park and a further £4 each to access the “grounds” as we couldn’t justify an extra £10 each to go inside the tower. The grounds themselves were nothing special with no clear signposting or information boards, so even that felt like £8 wasted. There are also two car parks, two cafes and a clothes shop for some reason. I’d advise trying to park close to the entrance, where parking appeared to be free, and taking in the views from there. Walking to the tower is also a good option if time and mobility/fitness allows.

Amazing experience! We booked tickets in advance and got to the tower early, before opening, to walk around and enjoy the view. Our tickets also included touring the WW II bunker located on the property nearby.

Lovely walk up to the tower. Lovely view of the countryside. Deer park with a stag and lots of does. Plenty of benches on the way up. But I didn't go into the tower as £14 entry!

The Tower is a beautiful landmark, nearby there is a nice café with a second one just further down in construction nearly finished. On a nice day You can enjoy the panorama and is perfect for a nice walk. Near the tower there are some red deers. The 14£ to go on top of the tower a bit overpriced to my opinion, considering the £5 for parking. Also the Nuclear bunker is interesting but I am not sure if there is an extra charge for that one as well.

We have visited the festival of light for a few years and this year’s has been our best experience yet! The lights were very well thought out and we thought that the theme was fantastic! The animals on the drive round safari were also more active than usual which was brilliant too.

Brilliant day out! So much to do and see here. Especially if you visit when the lanterns are out. The animals were all well looked after and settled in their enclosures. We went through the safari twice as the animals were just incredible! Would love to visit again soon!

Festival of lights is incredible! We had a lovely day at the drive through safari and a wonderful evening taking in the wonderful lights. This is the 4th time I have been to a festival of lights and this was by far the best one!

Great family day out with the choice to opt out of the safari should you wish. Plenty for children to do to keep them occupied and the Bat Cave is a great experience too.. The Festival of Light is becoming an annual visit for us and we love the different themes each year. This year's Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run went down a storm with the children..🥰

We were at longleat for the festival of lights and enjoyed a full day exploring the park including the jungle cruise and safari bus. There was plenty to see and do one of the favourites was the bat cave and on both trips the staff were very helpful and informative. In the evening we enjoyed an amazing light festival and Christmas stalls.

Wow!!!! What an amazing day. Can't wait to do it again some time. The whole day had the wow factor. The safari was amazing, the light festival exceeded our expectations. We were able to take our own food, we could navigate the day at our own pace. So much to see, good variety of animals to see and up close too. Not too over crowded, loved the big tent for children to do activities in, sit down and relax on bean bags without having to pay additional charges, good value for money and will definitely recommend. A wonderful treat for the family.

Such wow factor. Everything was great. A bit busy and wet onThe Saturday but Friday was lovely and relaxed. We saw soooo many animals up close and the Farmhouse is stunning. We will be back!

Beautiful gardens. Especially in autumn with all the autumnal colours. I would think it is stunning through all of the seasons. Very well maintained with lots of interesting information about trees dotted about. I learnt a few things. There is a 2000 year old lime tree that doesn’t look that old. I found that fascinating. Very good for children. You walk along a lovely wooden bridge amongst the tops of the trees. It’s a bit cheaper to go in the week than at the weekend. You can buy a membership that is well worth it if you intend to go a few times. It was busy so it seems it is very popular there. Lots of parking. You can’t do it all in one visit so we will definitely be going again. They also do concerts there.

Always a great place to visit anytime of year but it is special in the autumn. Walk further away and you soon lose the people. Take time to read about the specimen trees. Lovely quality shop and cafe. Wonderful to visit trees that were living long before you were born and hopefully still there for great grandchildren. Puts life in prospective

We visited in late October—and wow, it was absolutely breathtaking. You honestly can’t imagine how beautiful a forest can be until you see this place. The colors, the atmosphere, everything felt straight out of a painting. Totally worth the trip.

It gets very busy when the weather's good, but the autumn leaves were very beautiful. The bridge was really good too, and there were plenty of vans selling different types of food and drink. It's worth getting a map, and you can pre-book online

Such a beautiful annual tradition my family and friends have of going to see the beautiful colours of autumn at Westonbirt. It never disappoints, and the further you go in, the less busy it becomes! Most of the area is accessible to wheelchair users, which is good!

The trees at the arboretum were amazing but a part from the trees there is no much more to see. I do appreciate that arboretums are for trees mainly but other parks I have visited before offer more interesting features such as sculptures, ponds, pagodas and other types of focal point that make the experience more memorable and unique. The map provided was not easy to read, so finding your way around was challenging .The entrance price was very steep at £21, so no much value for money.

Perfect day out in a beautiful environment. We have 2 dogs and there’s areas to let the dogs off, walk them on the lead as well as areas dogs aren’t allowed. There are literally miles of pathways to walk along. An autumn visit means you get to see all the beautiful colours- there’s a fabulous walkway through the trees that gives stunning views over the parkland - which has a lot of interesting facts for both adults and children. The food deserves a special mention - there’s a separate bbq station as well as the main restaurant with a great choice if you are gluten free or vegetarian.

A stunning historical bridge with great views of the river Avon. We enjoyed a lovely boat trip down the river with a very informative skipper and a lovely,helpful young man who served hot drinks and snacks on board. It's so refreshing to see a young person working hard rather than sitting in front of a screen all day. We even spotted a heron on the trip. On the other side of the bridge, it's rather odd and ugly looking but unusual and worth a look.

Absolutely stunning! We had a wonderful meal at a restaurant along Pulteney Bridge, which was such a charming spot with plenty of great eateries to choose from. The whole city felt so clean, welcoming, and full of character. The Georgian architecture is breathtaking, the streets are steeped in history, and everywhere you turn there’s something beautiful to see. From the iconic Roman Baths to the sweeping views around the city, Bath truly captured my heart. I completely fell in love with this city and can’t wait to come back and explore even more!

Pulteney Bridge is stunning. Designed in the Palladial architectural stye, a 17-18th century take on classical architecture from ancient Greek and Roman traditions, it is one of only four bridges in the world tonhave shops across it's full span on both sides! I did not visit any of these shops so cannot speak on their quality. I can, however, advise a trip to Pulteney or a nearby bridge with a view of Pulteney at either sunrise or sunset. I did this myself, cycling across a parallel bridge before sunrise to capture a unique view of this wonderful bridge. There it stood ready for another day of supporting vehicles and pedestrians alike in making their journeys between Central Bath and the suburb of Bathwick. Infrastructure is crucial to supporting us in living our lives. When it comes in a form as aesthetically pleasing as Pulteney bridge, it is impossible not to love.

Beautiful historic bridge with lovely views of the river and weir. Great spot for photos and a peaceful walk and a must-see in Bath! Beautiful city full of history and charm. Stunning architecture, relaxing Roman Baths, and lovely riverside walks. Bath is always a joy to explore!

A wonderful roman style bridge startling the river below! No cost associated with visiting and looks wonderful on both sides! Personally I suggest visiting the rear side as it's much quieter, are plenty of nice spots to take photos, and feels totally different from the chaos of the front!

Gorgeous bridge with a nearby sluice gate and weir, this Iconic structure was built to extend the City without people realizing they are crossing the river, lined by shops and a cafe with river views it certainly is different but so brilliantly built. Just a three min walk from the Abbey and behind the Impressive Guildhall.

Wonderful piece of history. Recommend taking the boat cruise nearby (£14 for an hour pp) to see the bridge from the river.

I enjoyed a wonderful noonday service and a lovely tower tour, which is definitely worth doing. The tower tour allows you to see interesting details inside (clock, bells) and offers a great view out over the town and countryside. Shout out to our guide, whose name I cannot recall, but she had only been on the job for a week and was already a pro. The nave and the chapels are beautiful with an especially interesting ceiling. The volunteers or staff managing the line at the entrance could use a primer on welcome and hospitality. Everyone else was a pleasure.

I had a great Tower tour experience with the Irish and English guides! It was so fun ringing the bells and learning about the normally hidden parts of this historic building. Thank you!

We attended the Bath Abbey Tower Tour and had a wonderful time! Lots of steps, you go right to the top of the Abbey (which is quite high from the ground). Incredible views of the city and such an informative tour with Toby & Jamen. Thanks again!

Loved visiting the Abbey to see the Peace Doves Art Installation. Highly recommend. We were in awe ..... the architecture and stained glass windows are incredible. A warm welcome from the lovely staff and volunteers made our visit perfect.

Lovely few hours around Bath Abbey. Pay for entry (worth it) but got a free 1hr tour which was very informative. Also paid for the tower tour, which again takes an hour. You climb 240 odd steps to bell tower, clock tower and onto the top of roof. Tour done by El and Amy (I think) who were friendly helpful and informative. The climb is a bit of a challenge and a squeeze at times but worth it. I didn't do the discovery centre and museum that are also included in the Abbey entry price.

Taking the tour is a MUST!! So informational and love that each group is small enough where it feels more intimate. Like a private tour. Fun for the entire family. Exploring the beautiful abbey and being able to climb to the very top and on the inside where history is hidden. Listening to the bells rings and the tour guides were so wonderful making it fun for everyone. Highly recommend this experience when visiting Bath. Be sure to wear suitable shoes for climbing steep stairs if you take a tour.

Wel worth the admission fee as a guided tour is included for those who wish to take part. This is highly recommended. Fascinating building and history. Gift shop.

A fantastic experience! Really enjoyed exploring the history of the Roman baths and how interactive the museum is. It really immerses you in another world and the main thermal bath pool is gorgeous to just sit down at for a moment in between learning about the history. A free audio guide is also included in the ticket, which was very welcome. Staff are kind and the gift shop has some lovely items, too. 5/5 would recommend when visiting Bath.

The must visit attraction if you ever find yourself in Bath! I will start with the fact that entry was 36 USD for one person, however, this is one of the few times I will say you are getting a lot for your money and keep in mind the amount of protection / preservation that the money goes to. Your ticket comes with an audio tour (which I skipped because I find them unbearable), there are many signs with explanations on what you're seeing, access to both floors of the main bath house, the interior has plenty of additional museum and underground excavated activities. It really does feel like a mini Pompei in the middle of England. The views are lovely, it wasn't as crowded as I expected in early November too which was a plus for taking my time to enjoy everything!

If you're visiting Bath, you have to go, its the Law! OK, it clearly isn't but you're going aren't you, because if you haven't before you need too. It's great, not expensive and spent 3.5 hours there, which probably says it all really. You won't be disappointed although I didn't think much of the shop but that's a minor detail right?

The spa is amazingly set out. The free audio phones are really good to listen to information. I loved that the visuals were added so that you were looking at rocks but could see how they would have looked in the day. Plus on the wall videos showing life there. Quite a bit of nudity be warned! The Romans weren't shy! A lovely experience. However, it is a little pricey. I wouldn't repeat it as the cost is a little high. I suppose it pays for maintenance.

Very nice, it is always very interesting to go and see sights like these. I was very surprised to see that the water was not very clean. I can only hope that when the Romans were there that it was much better, but it was very interesting to see the intricate bath house with all of the amenities that they had built

A must visit if you are ever in Bath, even despite the high price of admission. It is definitely worth it specially if you use the audio guide. I highly recommend buying a ticket in advance as the lines for buying a ticket on the day are pretty long.

Visited the Roman Baths on my latest day trip to Bath and it’s definitely a must-see! Initially was a bit skeptical of the high ticket price but once I was inside, I actually thought it was really good value because there’s just so much to see and one could easily spend a couple of hours inside! It’s also great that there are so many indoor elements for when the weather is not great. The staff working there were also lovely and really enjoyed all the interactive elements like the holograms. Don’t miss this on your next visit to Bath!

This must be one of the most beautiful Cathedrals that I have visited. You can feel the history as you walk round. There are a number of wonderful chapels throughout. The vaulted ceiling is stunning as well as the stained glass windows. I would recommend going up to the whispering gallery. The views down into the Cathedral really worth it and tovaee the magnificent organ up close.

We really enjoyed visiting Gloucester Cathedral.The construction began in 1089 the Nave was completed in 1130.Over the centuries mor parts were added with different architectures styles. A magnificent building and it's said to be one of the finest ecclesiastical building in the UK.We really enjoyed ambling around the ethereal cloisters(a special treat for Harry Potter fans) and the beautiful stained glass windows

The Cathedral and its grounds are amazing. Entry is free but they recommend a donation and there are two tours that do cost extra. They are the crypt and highlights tour. We went on the crypt tour and our guides Peter and Graham were excellent. There are many hidden gems here and the staff and clergy we met were excellent. A great few hours can be spent here, it is very disabled friendly and there is a suprise for the Harry Potter fans.

Poppy Fields by Luxmuralis - Premium Experience Great experience. A premium ticket allowed us fast track entry (it was raining, so this was much appreciated) & a faster entry to the 1st experience. It also allowed access to an upstairs section which had good views, plus a cheeky glass of sparkling wine. The cathedral looked lovely lite up. Great experience overall & a good reminder of the sacrifices made during war & that peace is better than war.

Absolutely stunning. Voluntary donation to get in £5 or £10 for a family. Harry potter was filmed here it's stunning 😍 well worth a visit. We met up with friends and kids from ages 2 to 13 had an amazing day. So much to see and the architecture is truly breathtaking, there is 12pm prayers, you can light candles and so many interactive things. Wheelchair friendly and also visually impaired friendly (blind and deaf) absolutely brilliant day out.

Visited this amazing cathedral which holds the tomb of Edward II among others. Having visited Westminster abbey this was just as impressive. It was a pleasure to visit, and not to be missed. We did find parking available and entry to the abbey is via donation.

What a magnificent building! I can't emphasis how must have this cathedral is. Search for top 10 facts about it, learn about its history and enjoy visiting. If you are a history lover, you need at least three hours (maybe five for a best visit) to completely appreciate the whole visiting experience. Would highly recommend donating as it costs a lot to maintain this fascinating building.

Our first time here and it did not disappoint! £20 for our tickets was completely worth it, there was so much to do! I took my 2 year old boy and he thoroughly enjoyed it, buggy park is at the beginning for any families, so take bags with you for the kids so it saves you heading back there to collect them (I left everything on the pram) not realising there isn’t enough space for them. The caves are something else and was an experience, so gorgeous and so much to learn about. Can be rather slippy and muddy so wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. Some places you do have to duck and walk under due to low ceilings so take this into account if wanting to visit. Always being sturdy and strong on your feet too, I almost slipped and there is a lot of stairs! So much for children to do, my son was kept occupied the whole day we were there; 10:30 - 2:30! Highly recommend and we will be visiting again, it rained the whole day for us and didn’t ruin it at all!

The cave tour was great, with a small enough group you could still see and hear well. Only a couple of places where you had to drop low for height clearance. Good grip footwear/sensible shoes recommended. The rest of wookey hole was aimed mainly at kids with a dinosaur park, mini golf and amusements amongst the offerings. The cafe by the golf course was awful though. Cold coffee from the machines, very limited food offerings and the smell was less than pleasant. All 'hot' drinks were discarded. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Loved Wookey hole. Stayed at the lodges by the hotel, which were nice. The caves were great to go down into and the guide was informative. When you go back outside, there's a dinosaur wilderness which is good for little kids. We did the 4D cinema which was entertaining. If the weather hadn't been so bad, we would have done the crazy golf. But saying that, the weather added to the atmosphere, so didn't dampen out spirits. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic day out, great value for money, so interesting & informative with the history. The circus was ok though a big well done to the young ladies who performed. 4D cinema was fun ( though effects were slightly out of sync) little amusement inside was good, great array old fashioned amusement machines. Crazy golf was fun but gets busy.Food & drink available here or bring your own. It was well worth the drive from Shropshire.

Excellent caves but aren't for unsuitable for people who have disabilities due to uneven surfaces,loads of steps & a number of low ceilings heights. The views are stunning & there are a lot of things you can do in the caves. When you exit them you walk through a prehistoric area with animated dinosaurs, great for the kids. There's also a 4D cinema experience, circus( acrobats), mini golf, arcades ,(all included in the admission ticket.) & gift shop. There is a restaurant/cafe for food & drinks although choice is a little restricted.

Lovely time spent here, caves took approx 45 minutes with a guide giving lots of info. There is a 4D cinema and a circus 🎪 (weekends and school holidays). There is lots to do for children here.

We had a brilliant day, there is so much to do! Caves are great, 4D cinema was brilliant and my children loved the theatre. It’s really good value for money, having adventure golf included! We would definitely visit again

Follow the Bristol Zoo sign with an Elephant. When you arrive, there's no Elephant! Overall a great attraction, especially for youngsters. Plenty to see and a lovely walk throughout too. I only dropped a star as at least 5 attractions were empty or undergoing maintainance. This has been the case on previous visits too. The restaurant inside is well spaced, clean and tidy, good service from the staff too. My only reservation was the high prices (as to be expected at the type of attractions). The array of wildlife is good, I particularly recommended trying to coordinate with certain feeding times for a more enhanced visit. After lunch, we tried 4 vending machines for ice-cream, all were out of order. This was a slight disappointment to my daughter (not my pocket!). Overall a good day out. Advisable to book your tickets online to avoid disappointment. I would certainly recommend this attraction. Less than an hour journey from Cardiff.

Great selection of animals..very enjoyable experience. All the animals look happy and relaxed so I'm certain they're treated well. Great time to see the animals in their daily routine. I understand people's reservations on animals on captivity but a lot of the animals here are in danger of extinction so I'm glad to see their breeding program to help restore the population. Overall a wonderful experience

The zoo itself was awesome, the exhibits were diverse and especially the aquarium and reptile house were really well scaped! Saw a lot of animals I haven't seen before and caught some great animal behaviours. Sad to see it closing but looking forward to my first visit to Wild Place later this year! Deducted one star for it taking 30 minutes to park, but that won't be a problem when they move out of the city 💜

A fantastic day out for the family. A wide variety of wildlife from flamingos to lions. All the obvious attractions you’d expect. The restaurant was spacious and the good was good. Plenty of baby changing facilities. Parking was easy and in close proximity to the Zoo. At £4 unlimited the parking was a very reasonable price. I would highly recommended this attraction for a fun day out. My only negative was that pushchair access was not easy st times and wheel chair users may struggle as none of the doors were extra wide or powered. Other than that a brilliant day out. We will be back again soon

Amazing zoo! The exhibits were great and the animals were easy to see. There was a lot of things to do with kids. We spent about 4 hours here with our 3 kids and could have spent more time. We brought our buggy and it was easy to get around everywhere.

Many animals absent or not in viewing areas when visiting, which I guess can’t be helped to a certain degree. No comms regarding enclosure timings / closures info regarding feeding times / talks on a sandwich board at entry only. Took over an hour to find a parking space after finding out when getting to the zoo the car park was full and the entrance barred. The limited on street parking around the zoo all has a 3 hr max stay which isn’t helpful. On trying to ring the zoo to find out if we are still allowed to attend outside of our half hour slot, nobody was answering the phones so wasn’t sure either way. Heading towards the not well advertised overflow car park which was managed by luck it wasn’t apparent if it was full or not but there appeared to be no entrance. That is to say save for an area where 2 individuals in hi-vis sat away from the road, one rolling a joint the other playing on their phone. Eventually finding a spot to park on street that wasn’t limited to a 3hr window, on walking past the zoo car park it became evident there wasn’t any active management of the car parks as despite still being closed there were numerous empty spaces available. The penguins were a highlight though these days there are few and trying to see them at feeding time is awkward due to the crowd. The best for me was the seal feeding and talk as despite the crowd I was able to see due to the animals being clearly much larger than penguins. The fruit bats able to walk around overhead was also an enjoyable experience. Witnessed and area of concern when I was exiting through the gift shop, where an employee was weaving a stack of boxes through the busy crowds above her head height balanced on a wheelchair of all things?! I doubt that was on the risk assessment.

Lovely family day out. You can get really up close with the animals and the staff are all on hand to answer any questions. Feeding the birds is a wonderful experience for all ages and the butterfly house is also a hit. Never had an issue with parking although the car park is pretty small. We always take our own food but there are facilities there in which to purchase but as with all places, expect to pay for this. All in all, a lovely day out.

A must do when visiting the Clifton Suspension Bridge is visiting it by foot. There is a great walk from the river going up (you have to cross a busy road, but it is worth it as you see the bridge from different heights and angles. There is a digital tour with lots of information, download recommended!

A nice attraction in Bristol to visit for sure. The Clifton Suspension Bridge offers stunning views and plenty to explore around it. Whether you walk across and capture the beautiful sights of the surrounding villages or visit the nearby observatory, it’s always worth the trip. There are benches where you can sit, relax, and take in the scenery and a great spot to enjoy a coffee, unwind, or even have a picnic.

Really beautiful and stunning brigde. Great views on both side of the bridge. You can walk down on both side and get lovely pictures. There is a third spot from where you can capture the whole bridge and some facts about the bridge is given.

Remember, you matter, and the world is brighter with your smile in it. The Clifton Suspension Bridge is truly a sight to behold. Its beauty is breathtaking, especially when viewed from afar with the Avon Gorge beneath it. The bridge is steeped in history, having been designed by the famous engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel and completed in 1864. Walking across the bridge is free, and it gives you an incredible perspective of the surrounding area. Driving over it costs £1.50 for cars, which feels fair considering its importance. Visiting at night is especially beautiful with the lights turned on, creating a magical atmosphere. The bridge is not just a stunning piece of architecture, but also a vital link for transportation in the area and a symbol of Bristol itself.

A beautiful landmark, parking in the area is free on Sundays. We took a lovely stroll through the Beech woodland which then opens out to the Gorge below and then Clifton Bridge…..wow.

An absolutely amazing experience! The nature and scenery were breathtaking, with stunning views that reminded me of the beautiful mountain landscapes from where I come from. The location is truly unique and worth visiting. There’s a small toll for cars, but it’s free if you walk – and walking across gives you a completely different, more enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

This attraction is definitely worth a visit just for the breathtaking views across the valley. It's free to walk across unless your in a car that is and then you pay at the toll. Walking across did seem busy and you have to move with the traffic if people. There's lots of photo opportunitie here and when your thirsty after your walk across and back you can visit the nearby castle for refreshments.

Visited on a Saturday very very busy place. Shop area is very nice with lots of small businesses and cafes. Cheddar cheese shop to buy diff cheeses and a Scrumpy cideshop were nice. We drove up the gorge as it was raining but a lot of people were walking.

Cheddar Gorge is absolutely stunning – the dramatic limestone cliffs are breathtaking, and the views are incredible. Walking along the trails is an amazing experience, with wild goats roaming freely and the peaceful atmosphere of nature all around. A perfect spot for a day trip, especially at sunrise or sunset

A few days away in Cheddar Gorge. I know you'll say, it's too early.! However staying in the Christmas Cottage is wonderful if you like Christmas. It's a great position for the town centre, great location. Lots of restaurants, shops and coffee stops which is fine for me. Parking could be a problem, although we found it okay. Had a walk up Jacobs Ladder which is next to the cottage. The cottage has three bedrooms. A wonderful kitchen and roof to balcony What can one say, if you are a child at heart you'll love it. So Fantastico Fantastico Fantastico. And a X for Santa. Hope I'm on the Good List.!

The caves are amazing The gift shops and cafe are lovely Parking is an issue understandable because of the location the museum is a bit pointless and small no tour guides just 2 people dressed up taking your tickets

What a natural beauty! Lovely little village with a fantastic natural wonder very close by! If you don't fancy walking, just drive through the George. Plenty of chance to stop for photos

Its a beautiful place but filled with paid car parks. Of course nobody using them as the council is not providing toilet nor small coffee place to refresh. Just wants your money for going to nature and the place has asphalt patches. "Well done whoever thought of it!"

Nice view, even though it isn't the most spectacular gorge I've seen. Some payed and some free parking available. In the evening it fills up with kids doing rounds in their tuned cars and bikes which is quite disruptive to the entire atmosphere. Some great sport climbing here.

This is my second time at the Tintern Abbey, the Abbey sits on the border between England and Wales but on the Welsh side. I loved it here both times, this time they also had a trail for children to follow and uncover facts. Highly recommend a visit to Tintern Abbey if you are nearby or even passing through to Wales. With rich history, and amazing views, don't miss out.

I’ve driven past Tintern Abbey countless times over the years, always admiring its setting but never quite stopping - maybe because from the outside, it just looked like a quiet ruin with not much going on inside. But I finally made the visit, and I’m so glad I did. The moment I stepped into the church nave, everything shifted. The soaring arches and the magnificent west front with its seven-light window are breathtaking. It’s hard to believe this place was stripped bare after the dissolution in 1536, left to decay for centuries before being rediscovered by artists and poets like Wordsworth and Turner in the 18th century. You can see why they were drawn to it - the ruins are hauntingly beautiful. For just £9, it’s a deeply worthwhile visit. The abbey’s location in the lush Wye Valley adds to the magic, and there’s a convenient pay-and-display car park plus a pub nearby if you want to make a day of it. If you’ve ever passed it thinking “just another ruin,” I’d say don’t wait as long as I did. It’s far more than that.

A very nice side trip. I'm not sure it is worth travelling a long distance for. There are some nice places to see in the small town. Parking is refunded if you enter the abbey. Tickets were £18 for 2 adults.

A beautiful place to visit with some very interesting history and some significant preservation challenges. It was a weekday afternoon with very few people around which made sitting, in what was the original church hall and the surrounding grounds, and incredibly peaceful experience. There was a lot of scaffolding up and areas cordened off as they fight to save the crumbling building but it is still well worth a visit. A local pub make parking and grabbing a drink afterwards easy

What a wonderful abbey. Well worth a visit and a nice short walk through the village and over the bridge. How on earth did they build such structures so long ago! Must be the power of religion 🤔🤔

It is a fantastic place. Very imposing in a peaceful area. I realise renovation works are crucial, but over the building is closed off. Not sure the entrance price reflects that.

Magnificent ruins, quite well interpreted. In a setting that's beautiful even in mid November. The staff are very friendly in the ticket office/shop and also in the tea room. I was glad to congratulate the baker of the cakes in person.

A warm welcome to a warm cathedral with free entry which is a big plus these days. Dogs welcome too. We enjoyed our stay and contributed well in excess of the modest £5 suggestion. The linked Mappa Mundi and chain library exhibition is a must visit and is subject to a separate charge. There is a small café too and outside seating in warmer weather. Highly recommend place to visit.

We were recommended this by a friend to visit as a must see attraction in Hereford. The Cathedral alone is an amazing experience to discover all the historical information and architecture. The Mapps Mundi and Chained Library is a unique experience with excellent staff who happily explain all aspects of these unique artifacts. The Cathedral is free to enter but you have to pay a reasonable fee for the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. There is also a cafe and toilets if needed and the whole area is ideal for those that have mobility issues or are wheelchair users.

Free to enter cathedral. A wonder of craftsmanship and design. A place of worship that's existed according to CoE for over 1300 years. The Cathedral has been there since 1300. There is an exhibition there on maps and books from over 700 years ago, it's a paid for ticket entrance but worth it. Nice gardens and cafe.

We went to see the chained library and the magna Carta Very interesting. Great Cathedral and of course has the SAS window. Very interesting vist and quite a nice cafe.

A wonderful cathedral with a great deal to see. Seeing the Mappa Mundi and chained library is not cheap at £7 per adult but was highly worthwhile. The Mappa Mundi is much more impressive and fascinating than I expected from reproductions.

Went mainly to see the Mappa Mundi and the chained library. Volunteers freely offered interesting information on the exhibitions and there's the usual nice coffee and gift shops. Friendly people working and volunteering here, as you'd expect. A pleasant way to spend some time in a pleasant town.

Great place to visit. 'City Praise' is a great event to go to. Every so often, almost once a month, possibly two, the various church congregations in Hereford gather at the Cathedral to worship together.
