After a few years willing to do this experience, I was finally able to do it. It is really impressive the number of tanks they have and also the number of weapons in their armory. My son was very happy as it was the first he drove a real war tank. Our guide (Tom) is a very patient person and explained us many details about the weapons and the tanks. Very recommended.

I’m not quite sure where to start as words just can not describe how absolutely FANTASTIC this experience was!!! The entire day from start to finish was extremely well organised and unforgettable. From learning to drive a variety of armoured vehicles to the survival session with John and learning about his INCREDIBLE life story! From shooting, archery, springers, clays, crushing cars and definitely not forgetting the gentleman in the armoury whose knowledge was second to none. Chris, Tom, Jay, every single member of staff we spoke to, whether they had military background or not, were friendly, approachable, happy to answer any questions and not afraid to have a bit of banter with you! Even the extremely well dressed man during the flintlock session 🤣 Free tea & coffee all day was much appreciated, lunch was delicious and the grounds were like walking into a military fanatics dream. I booked this for my partners 30th birthday and I am SO happy I booked myself on as a main driver too!! That being said, the people who booked on as spectators were constantly being invited to give things a try and were fully involved in the survival and armoury sessions of the day. Some even getting to sit in the tanks as they were being driven which I thought was brilliant of them to allow! Nick and Kate who not only run the place but live there with their son (who I must say has THE most beautiful military style sensory garden I have EVER seen!) are fantastic hosts and we are already planning on coming back next year to do it all again!! Thank you both so much for just the best day and if you are reading this contemplating booking up, don’t even think twice just get it booked. You will not regret it.

Bicester Village is a fantastic destination for luxury and premium brand shopping. The place offers a wide selection of high-end and well-known brands, all set in a beautiful and clean environment. Both the exterior and interior designs of each store are meticulously crafted, adding to the overall pleasant shopping experience. The only downside during my visit was the lack of particularly attractive discounts, which was a bit disappointing. Nonetheless, overall, it was a great place to shop and explore.

Bicester Village is a nice designer outlet that features most of the well-known luxury brands. However, I couldn’t find many good deals, most prices were almost the same as regular market prices, and many of the items seemed to be older collections that didn’t sell well. The design of the village is beautiful, though. It’s very clean and pleasant to walk around, with charming little streets and lovely store façades. The place isn’t very large, so you can explore it in a few hours. There are only a couple of restaurants, so dining options are limited, but the big parking area is definitely convenient. Overall, it’s a peaceful and stylish place to visit for a short walk and some window shopping, but not necessarily the best destination if you’re looking for real outlet bargains

Absolutely loved it, definitely worth a visit especially if you’re into shopping. Might not be as fun if you’re not into shopping. Lots of designer and high end brands at discounts prices, *discounted* not cheap. All the shops look really nice especially during the Christmas period. Nice and easy to walk around, shops are all next door to one another kind of like on a parade.

I recently visited Bicester Village and had a fantastic shopping experience. It's a premier luxury outlet shopping destination with a wide range of designer brands offering excellent discounts. The village is beautifully laid out and perfect for a day trip. I recommend buying your shopping ticket in advance online for a smooth entry and special services. Also, if you travel by train, note that Bicester Village station not supports contactless travel cards, but importantly there is currently no tap-in or tap-out system for contactless payments on the train journey. This means it’s best to buy a ticket in advance or check carefully to avoid any issues. The combination of great shopping, easy access, and the convenience of modern payment options makes Bicester Village a must-visit. Don’t forget to book your tickets ahead and enjoy a seamless, luxurious shopping day out!

Visited recently for a shopping day out and had a very enjoyable time overall. Bicester Village offers lots of high-end brand outlets, making it a premium destination for luxury and designer shopping. You’ll find major names like Gucci, Prada, Burberry, and many more — definitely a paradise for fashion lovers! The atmosphere is great — beautifully designed, open-air, and feels classy yet welcoming. We were so busy shopping that we completely forgot to take any photos! One thing that really stood out was how well the parking situation was managed. As we were about to reach the Village, we noticed clear signage informing us that the main parking was full and directing us to an alternate parking location. There was also a free Park & Ride bus service available, which was super convenient and very well organized. The only downside was the long queues outside some of the popular stores, which took up quite a bit of time. It would be great if they could introduce an appointment or token system to help manage the crowd and make the experience smoother. Overall, a fantastic shopping destination with a wide range of luxury brands, good facilities, and a pleasant vibe — just be ready for some waiting during busy times. We’ll definitely be visiting again!

Visited with my Historic Houses card that thankfully helps me avoid a very overpriced £30 ticket. As I left, a family of four were handing over something like £87, which I would really advise against. There are limited grounds that you are welcome to roam in, which is something I’m used to at historic houses/gardens. The house itself is impressive of course, although I would have liked better interpretation boards around. Why not provide a list of the paintings? I had to ask a member of staff for their copy as I was curious about one in particular, but was asked to only take a photo of that specific listing. Unsure why there needs to be such secrecy around it. Personally I would like to see some information on the Black presence in some of the statues and paintings dotted around the house. You can’t take photos inside, presumably because it’s still the family house (and also to help sell the guide book), but I hope there might be a way in the future to remove that restriction. The walk around the lake is pleasant enough, although there’s not much to see other than the Diana memorial. There was nothing in the shop of interest to me, and I didn’t try out the cafe. But there are plenty of benches to have your own lunch, which was nice. I also had no issue with the car park being away from the house, but it would be great if there was somewhere to park a bike.

Beautiful place, the cafe is okay. It only offers cold sandwiches and cakes, very minimal hot food - etc soup. The family home is very pretty and the staff is well knowledgeable and proactively explained everything. The oval lake is peaceful, beautiful but also you can feel the sadness around it.

This is one of the most Beautiful and Enchanting places we have visited. The House was exquisite inside, the history was amazing. All the staff inside and out were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Outside was immaculately maintained and the Oval Lake where Diana’s resting place is was Breathtaking. Overall one of the best days we’ve had 🥰 A Huge Thank you to All the Staff and most importantly to Lord Spencer (whom we had the pleasure of speaking with) who if it was not for him allowing the public to come into his home and grounds to have a look, we would never be able to see all of this. Such a privilege and honour 🤗🥰 Would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be returning without a doubt!!

It was such a gorgeous day so we decided to revisit Althorp. The whole place is immaculate and the lake was stunning. Great having the benches to sit on and enjoy the view. Last time I came, there were more flowers in the beds at the rear of the house, which added some amazing colour, but I appreciate there would be a cost involved in that. The trees were stunning and sheer size of the property incredible. The sign into the property could be more obvious - went all the way round to the front gates, as that was the way on last time I visited - eventually found the correct sign but it was quite small and hidden in the hedge. I was able to get some great photographs thanks!

An impressive estate. Tributes to Diana start with a line of 36 oak trees and a plaque part way along. No photos allowed in the house, which has plentiful portraits and ornate furniture. Staff very friendly and informative. Interesting to see the bedrooms already made up ready for future guests. The house is only open during July and August. From the house it is a few minutes walk to the lake where Princess Diana is buried. It is very peaceful, a good place to sit awhile. A monument to Diana stands at the head of the lake, with Charles Spencer's touching words about her engraved into a plaque.

Really enjoyed our visit to Althorp. Grounds were beautifully kept & it emotional to see Princess Diana’s final resting place. The house was very interesting with all its history. The church is very spiritual, like it very much.

Had a wonderful visit to Althorp. The weather was beautiful, so it was lovely walking around the gardens and seeing the deer in the grounds. The house is spectacular with so much history and interesting artwork and furniture. This was our second visit and we learnt new things that we hadn’t found out on the previous visit.

Had a very disappointing Chicken Caesar Salad. Chicken was cold rather than freshly cooked warm, the croutons were as hard a rock, and the Parmesan was as tasteless as the dressing. I finished with Eaton Mess - another disappointing episode. The meringue had no chewiness and wasn’t even combined with the fruit and cream. What sounded good on the page didn’t deliver on the plate. Staff pleasant and atmosphere good too. Idilic location.

We hired The Old Boathouse for a 40th birthday party, and Emma couldn’t have been more helpful. The venue was perfect for our party of around 50 people (including children and dogs!). The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the pub and boathouse to anyone. Thank you so much, we’ll certainly be back!

Lovely atmosphere, seating available outside close to the canal and if the weather isn't so good the conservatory offers a lovely seating area overlooking the canal. Dog friendly both outside and in, the menu was a little limited but good quality ingredients.

❤️ Foxton Locks & like the Inn. We had coffee at the Inn, which we enjoyed on the patio overlooking the water, where swans entertained us to a territory fight. Staff are friendly & helpful. Attractive ladies' toilets.

Food is great, views of the canal are great! We went when the lock itself was closed so it wasn’t very busy, fantastic place to stubble across on a Saturday morning! (They use Heinz beans for breakfast, and they also have good bbq sauce too!)

⭐☆☆☆☆ Not the happiest about my experience here today to be honest. Came to Foxton Locks Inn for my mother’s 57th birthday lunch with family and left disappointed. I ordered the Hunter’s Chicken — arrived near burnt, dry, drowned in an overly sweet BBQ marinade, bacon soft, topped with bland cheddar. The chips were the real letdown: dry, powdery, clearly pre-bought, and nothing like homemade. My mother’s meal was cold, my aunt’s bangers and mash had sausages burnt and rock hard — she left them, and even the dog wouldn’t have eaten them. My uncle, who ordered scampi with peas and chips, couldn’t get over how bad the potatoes were. He even asked others to taste to check if it was just him — everyone agreed they were awful. The peas were dull, clearly tinned, and the scampi straight from a frozen packet. For a reserved birthday lunch, it was a complete letdown across most of our table. The only positives were the pâté starter and the polite table service. But overall, the food and kitchen execution were far below par — especially for the prices charged. To top it off, we still had to pay £3.50 for parking. Over £22 for my meal alone — for food this poor? I’m still feeling it hours later. Won’t be returning.

Really enjoyable visit to this stately home although it was built as a museum to house the possessions of the Rothschild family. Fantastic collection of art works, ceramics, tapestries and furniture and grounds. Entry needs to be pre-booked via their website there is a long walk 20 to 30 minutes from the car park to the house or you can book a shuttle bus for £2.50 return, free if you’re a blue badge holder.

Easy to find with large ticket office and excellent parking capacity inc disabled with a shuttle bus to the house and stables. Property has an interesting history and easy to walk through the various rooms. Large gardens for outdoor walking. Plenty of food and drink available. House has timed tickets available online or at the ticket office on arrival. Staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

A good wee place to explore and walk (in the garden), learn about history, architecture and art. Perfect for couples and families as they have a nice cafe(outdoor sitting) and wine shop. Some of the areas were closed when we visited(they were doing some renovation/maintenance work). They have spacious parking. Overall a very good experience.

Lovely day out, and very beautiful architecture. Lots of walking, if you like that sort of thing, which we do! The Manor's history is also fascinating. We enjoyed it here. The gardens are particularly beautiful.

We had a great family day out here, the house is beautiful and full of amazing artifacts, and all manner of priceless treasures. I enjoyed the Solomon's temple exhibit, interesting to see how it may have looked in it's original form. The grounds looked incredible with the autumn colours, and walking around a finding little hidden details was interesting. The outdoor cafe next to the gift shop had lovely, tasty food and drinks available. The gift shop was very pleasant aswell. Every interaction we had with the people working/volunteering there was very positive. Thankyou for a great time.

Beautifully kept manor. Lovely to walk around. Kids can run free and have a look at the birds. Kids also have a nice playground to go in. The whole place is pushchair friendly. There is a steep slope down to the play area and stables bit. The shuttle bus is great if you don’t like too much walking. Car park was spacious. Great day!

I think this was my most enjoyable National Trust visit. One of many Rothschild properties in the area but must be the jewel in the crown. A very good tour round the house King Louis writing desk and so much more it was just amazing. The grounds were also extensive and very beautiful

We went for a comedy show that I surprised my partner on valentines day. I loved the atmosphere, very friendly and supportive staff. The arena was absolutely full, people were laughing mostly... some people were a bit shocked by the amount of extreme language and black humour... It was extremely difficult to find parking and to come our at the end, we waited more time to come out of the parking then the actual show time.

This is a wonderful theatre. Great service provided by the staff and always a great atmosphere here. Parking nearby is very convenient and the acoustics within the theatre is perfect. Watched Roachford and Level 42 on their UK tour. A great night out made special by the venue itself.

Northampton is privileged to have a great theatre. I had the best experienced while attending a recent show called Jamaica Love. A wonderful, educational and funny production, the whole communit enjoyed. It was easy to access, the seats were comfortable, the sound was great for such a big modern theatre, no echo's or sounding distant. Well worth a visit. Thanks for putting on a great show!

Great venue with amazing front of house. Northampton is lucky to have such a venue with multiple spaces and uses. Top class programme of theatre music etc bringing people into the town. Close to carparks.

We love the Royal and Derngate theatre. Always original and full of variety. Stalls seats generally best, but avoid front left or right stalls if you are going to see a rock band - you might be deaf for a couple of days! Upper circle (front) are super seats with a panoramic view of the stage.

This theatre is looking very tired. The seats are in a very poor state of repair with exposed foam on the seats and about 50% sporting poorly sewn patches. Also the seating is not offset or raked sufficiently, I was unfortunately seated behind a large man who completely obscured the centre of the stage.

We did the tour and tasting followed by an overnight stay. All of the staff we met were lovely. The grounds and buildings were very well kept. Victoria was a great tour/tasting guide and certainly knew her stuff. We sampled various wines, beers and liqueurs, along with some cheese and crackers to cleanse the pallet between tastings. The farmhouse breakfast was great too!

I recently proposed to my girlfriend at this stunning venue, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting or experience. From start to finish, everything was smooth, beautifully organized, and completely stress-free. Don, the venue owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with- professional, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about making special moments unforgettable. The coordination with our photographer and even the tour guide, Steve, was seamless. Everyone worked together behind the scenes to make the moment magical, and they absolutely delivered. Steve was fantastic, and his knowledge is amazing. The atmosphere was lovely, the setting was picture-perfect, and the entire team made sure everything went off without a hitch. Highly recommend this venue for any special occasion- it truly exceeded all expectations!

Just a note to say we had a fabulous time. Very, very informative, easy to understand and great fun. Having been in hospitality all my life I knew a little about the subject but I left knowing a whole lot more. A great couple of hours, the time flew by. I would recommend the tour to anyone!

We enjoyed the wine tour, better yet we got it half price. It's great to hear the history of the location as we didn't know much about the area before the arrived. Everything was enjoyable from start to finish. 10 stars for the Irish cream liqueur and Blood Orange Liqueur

What a beautiful venue and a very informative presentation and tour by your staff. Forgive me but I can't recall the South African guys name but he made it a very memorable visit with his knowledge and anecdotes. Unfortunately i couldn't fully take part in the tasting session at the end because of having to drive home but plenty of great wines and beers to buy at the end. Happy to support a small but very professional and enterprising business.I would recommend anyone with an interest in wine making and brewing to pay them a visit. A truly memorable visit. Thank you

We had a fantastic afternoon tour yesterday. The chap taking us round was very knowledgeable, the setting was absolutely stunning, and the samples included lovely. We will definitely be returning to spend some time at the bar, and trying the delicious looking food. Many thanks for such a great time.

Just spent the afternoon at this venue with a tour being provided by one of the sommeliers. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the estate, the business and wine and beer making. He then led us expertly through a tasting of three wines, three beers and a liqueur. We then sat in the beautiful courtyard and enjoyed a glass of wine. Recommend a trip to this venue.

Another good session here. Our 13 year old boys have done the 1 day course reaching level 4 back in April, now they are doing level 5 and 6 in the 2 hour lesson. Super instructors and good facilities. A great way to prepare for a ski trip.

Staff here are so friendly, passionate and supportive! Did snowboarding for the first time the other day with Marian who was so so friendly, patient, amazing and kind. Also had skiing lessons previously with Charlotte who was extremely kind, helpful and patient. I also met Claire - the manager who went above and beyond for me and was also really helpful. Thank you to each of you, you really are special people. Hope we meet again :)

First day of my sons ski course. The parking was easy and aprox 100m from the Snozone desk, all flat and accessible if needed. The staff were efficient in organising his boots, putting him in his team and supporting him over the next hour or so. No complaints from either of us. I only gave 4 stars as the available cafe for me to spend my time waiting could have provided more options for breakfast, like a bacon butties. I did have a nice hot chocolate though.

Visited Snozone for a Snowboarding beginners day course. Had a fantastic time. Jago was super friendly and helpful in teaching technique and providing advice. Lunch was included in the price and we were offered a choice of pizzas, jacket potatoes and a few other options. Course lasted around 7.5hrs from 1015 to 1745. Group size was five, which worked well and Jago did a great job of supporting individuals with varying degrees of experience. Great fun, had a few hard falls, but perseverance is key! I will be back.

I’ve visited Snozone several times over the past six months. I started with a 1-1 session, followed by a Level 2/3, then a Level 3/4 session, and was due to have my Level 4/5 lesson next week. By the end of my Level 3/4 session, my instructor had ticked off all sections of Level 4 except the final box, mentioning that “with 10 more minutes, you’d have completed the level.” That would have allowed me to progress straight to Level 5/6. However, this week I received an email stating that Snozone no longer offers combined-level sessions and that my upcoming lesson would only cover Level 4. I called to explain my situation and asked whether I could move directly into Level 5, given my progress in the previous session. Unfortunately, I was offered very few options—almost none—and it felt as though the issue was being treated as my responsibility. I even suggested arriving early to complete Level 4 before moving on to Level 5 on the same day, as I was simply trying to continue the training I had already paid for. The staff member I spoke with wasn’t very helpful, and I eventually had to ask for a refund myself, which I would have expected them to suggest.. I later called back to ask about booking a full 7-hour Level 4/5/6 day instead. Thankfully, the second staff member I spoke to was much more professional and understanding. Although the available dates didn’t work for me, she processed my refund promptly. I’m really disappointed, as I had thoroughly enjoyed every session up to this point and was genuinely looking forward to continuing.

Amazing beginners snowboard course last Friday. Tony (and Dave) did an amazing job of making us feel comfortable and helping us to progress throughout the day. From never standing on a board to completing some relatively good turns in a few hours. The facility is great, easy to get to, cheap to park at, everything you need under one roof. The best bit was the instructors. Tony really put 100% into the job and was awesome. Had loads of fun and learnt so much. He was helped by Dave who was great too. It's a hard day, and physically demanding but so worth it

Well looked after grounds, well tended gardens and beautifully managed Manor House. The facilities are more than adequate and volunteers are helpful and knowledgeable to explain and answer questions. However, we found the lights were very dim in most of the rooms downstairs and it was difficult to see or read the information provided in the pamphlets and walls.

No queues, not a lot of people and one of the most comprehensible and easy to navigate National Trust houses in England. Absolutely fascinating to learn more about English history; Disraeli, wartime mapping, and secrecy. Knowledgeable staff who like what they are doing. We visited on a glorious sunny weekday afternoon. A light lunch to start, nothing really special, served quickly and efficiently. The house is very well presented and the gardens are a delight to walk around and sit and admire while reclining in a deck chair.

Lovely building with a fascinating story. Loved all of the information on the production of the maps during WW2, especially interesting that they are still finding out about people who were there during that time. Cafe has plenty of seating with the usual menu of quality fare. The gardens are gorgeous and extensive.

Amazing House and gardens and with a lot of history, with roots dating back to before the Domesday Book. It became known as the country home of Benjamin Disraeli, Queen Victoria's favorite Prime Minister, who purchased it in 1848. If you're a National Trust member you should definitely visit.

We visited Bletchley Park today and had an absolutely fantastic day exploring this incredible piece of history. From the moment we arrived, the experience was first class. We were greeted at the entrance barrier by Jake, who gave us a lovely warm welcome — full of good humour and friendly banter — the perfect start to the day. Inside, every member of staff and volunteer we met was just as friendly and engaging. Their enthusiasm for the site and its history really brought the stories of The Codebreakers to life. A particular highlight for me was the Radio Team, who were exceptional. They not only explained the radio technologies and the process behind them in fascinating detail but even offered me a chance to have a go myself! Their knowledge and passion were infectious and added so much to the visit. We took our time exploring the Mansion, the huts, and the surrounding grounds — everything was beautifully presented and full of atmosphere. The attention to historical authenticity and the care taken in preserving the story of Bletchley’s wartime legacy was evident everywhere. The Gift Shop was excellent too, well-stocked with books, souvenirs, and thoughtful keepsakes. I was thrilled to find a book I’d owned as a child (a long time ago now!) — something I never expected to see again. All in all, it was a day filled with learning, nostalgia, and wonderful interactions with passionate people. A truly memorable visit, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Five stars without hesitation.

An amazing place and well worth a visit. The guides are all volunteers who give their time and expertise completely free of charge. In my opinion this makes them even more valuable to the whole experience and definitely worth listening to if you can get on one of their guided tours. Your entry ticket will allow you to return as many times as you like with a year of your first visit, completely free of charge, and you’ll need it as there so much to see and learn.

This is an amazing Living Musuem of history. The splendid work both highly intellectual people accomplished, together with every day men and women during WW2 is shown here. Without this secret team WW2 may not have ended when it did and with the British victorious. There is so much so see we needed 3 day visits. When you purchase your ticket you get a year to return and Thank Goodness for that.

Interesting visit to learn more about the WW2 Codebreakers and see the technology they used. Informative and entertaining video presentations. Friendly staff and good interactive displays. Quite expensive at £28 pp (we won't be going back in the next year even though the ticket says you can) and disappointed that the museum of computing was another £10 each next door. The website says the cafes have gluten free options but they didn't have any gf cakes or sandwiches, only a main meal.

An amazing time in our countrys' history, remarkable work carried out by extraordinary people. We learnt a great deal more about the events that occurred there than we previously knew. Definitely worth visiting, as your entry tickets are valid for 12 months multiple visits.

We had a fantastic day out at Bletchley Park. There was so much to see. I particularly enjoyed the areas recreated to look as it did during the Second World War. Whilst I knew of the work done there and its importance, visiting left me with an even deeper sense of admiration for the people who worked there.

What ca. you say? Incredible place where some incredible people worked long hours to help shorten WW2. So very informative, plenty to see. Can easily spend a day here, and the great thing is that your ticket is valid for 12 months so you can return any time within that period. If you’re a member of English Heritage then you can get money off your ticket too.

Mixed reviews for me.. Most of the staff are friendly but some look like they really don't want to be there.. The rides are "good" for kids. My son is 6 and I would say it's ideal for his age group. If I was to return in the future, I would take my own food as the quality of what was available was poor for the price. This theme park needs a overhaul and updated. Most of the rides, the food hall etc is looking all a bit old now. If they are making a good profit then, they need to spend money on updating the park, looks all a bit 90's and been left to rot. Food hall and seating area was a little smelly, no decent lighting, sticky floors and not enough staff cleaning in-between each family using tables. Above all this, I would return more prepared.

These is an amazing small theme park but really good no queue on all the rides. The staff are really friendly and loved their job. My only complained is the restaurant closed at 2:00 pm.There is a pizza place in the front that is really amazing. But over all very happy with the experience rides are not that extreme. The kids loved the zipwire experience and also the cable car. Would definitely come back soon.

Had a really nice time there. A lovely little park in the heart of MK. Rides are fun and designed for little ones in mind. We went around the river ride more than once! Log flume was great too. Main restaurant was fairly priced for a meal deal and clean. Lighting was atmospheric with fairy lights which was cute. Staff were friendly and we had Bluey there on our visit. The only downside we saw was it needed a bit of TLC to the bathrooms and play centre. The rest of the park was lovely but these both need a bit of money putting towards it to make it a better experience. Fair price for what you get. Would come back again!

Lovely small theme park great for kids i would say upto the age of 10. Loads of rides with no ride closures which makes a change going to a theme park ! Kids will have anything abundance of fun here... parking on 1st glance looked tricky but actually more than enough room and not miles to walk to entrance... food was the same old theme park food but very reasonable

Overall it's ok for it's size and price (if you get discounted tickets). Has one or two cracking rides for older kids and adults. Plenty of fun rides for smaller kids. Some areas are looking a little worn sadly and areas like toilets could use better upkeep. On the plus side you rarely queue longer than 10mins. If you see a deal for discounted entry it's well worth a family day out.

HEADLINE Such a shame, as it probably was an amazing park, but its been let down, loads of things not working (pretty much the whole of the JCB world didnt work 😞) the crains didnt work, some of the diggers didnt work properly, there was a ride closed. The food was very Exspensive, but thats like most theme parks I would say. They had some odd rules like no age limit. As long as the child was sitting in the seat, we had a 3 month old whitch would of been safer to put her in our arms but we had to sit her in a seat and put our arms around her, did look funny. The park was a nice size, and there was enough to do for all ages that we have 3m , 2YO, 14YO and 15YO We had a nice family day, just a shame a lot wasn't working properly, i feel this will be letting the park down in the long run and they need to invest. Still made a good day of it despite these problems with the park. Its just a word of warning. They need to invest if they want people to return. We wont be returning sadly.

Had a great day out with my grandson (5) and great niece (4). We visited on a Saturday and arrived about 10mins before entry time, we went through to see the staff and mascots doing a little routine and declaring the park open. We used advanced tickets and just produced the barcodes on my phone to the staff at the entrance. The weather wasn't that great, which seemed to keep the crowds away, meaning we were fortunate to not queue for anything other than the log flume (which was still only about 5mins). There was loads to do as well as the rides and we didn't leave till closing. Food was typically priced for a theme park. Burger, chips and drink style meal was about £10. Gift shop was cute and although again typically priced, they had a good selection of little pocket money priced items. There are plenty of amenities and toilets all over the park.

Had a lovely day, it's about fun, simple rides and the park land. Food was not too expensive either, the baked potato in the cafe was quickly consumed with no complaint. We went to Alton Towers last year and whilst not comparable, this cost about the same as the food there, and in truth we had more fun. There is plenty to improve, not least the free playground and some of the buildings, but go with the right level of expectation and enjoy your day, helping to protect this little bit of heritage.

I was lucky enough to win four tickets to Wicksteed Park in a competition, and I went there yesterday. What a fantastic day it was! I absolutely loved my visit and would highly recommend the park to anyone looking for a full day of fun. The first thing that impressed me was how enormous the park is. There's so much space to explore that you never feel cramped or are fighting for room. The size of the park gives you a sense of freedom and the opportunity to discover something new around every corner. Besides the space, there's a huge amount to do. The variety of entertainment is impressive, with attractions for all ages. Whether you're looking for big thrills or something more gentle, there's something for everyone. We spent the whole day there and still felt like there were more things to see and do, which is a big plus. For me, Wicksteed Park is the perfect place for a fun family day out. The atmosphere is great, and with so much to do, it's impossible to get bored. It was an experience I'll remember fondly.

Absolutely amazing day yesterday. Came with my son and my two granddaughters. Purchased wristbands for all. Great price for family of four..unlimited rides which we all..especially girls took advantage of. As a grandmother of a child with svi I cannot recommend this park enough. From staff to patrons of this park everyone was amazing and so respectful to my granddaughter. Staff were aware my granddaughter required help by her dad or myself to get onto rides..and were extremely courteous. Gentleman on carousel was the best. Thank you sir! Unfortunately daddy and I felt a little unwell after a ride..you probably heard our screams asking for help during ride which my..obviously caring granddaughters..laughed incessantly.. Will definitely return. Thank you guys for an amazing day

Great day. Great value. Great staff. Have selected 5star for rooms service and location as whole day was a 5 star experience. The haunted walk was scary! Our 2yr old, but almost 3yr old.104cm, grandson loved it and got more confident so by the end of the day went on the high swings! We didn't eat there - it wasn't silly money but we had brought our own.

Staff were absolutely amazing enjoyed evey ride i went on with my friend. Favourite had to be the slide where a lovely girl called skye, made the ride even more enjoyable just by not only helping understand the ride but her cheerfull demeanor made the ride soo much more entertaining. Shout out to the meerkats who were adorable as ever.

A great park for toddlers, with both open play areas and an indoor play zone. Kids can enjoy various rides (though some may not be suitable for children under 3. Adults can enjoy walking or running around the park. There’s also a small train ride that’s fun for all ages.

Awful Oktoberfest for 2025. False advertisement with their posters and you left feeling like it was a scam: The event was advertised as a lively and festive Oktoberfest experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. When we attended, there was only one food truck, no decorations, and an almost empty room with a band performing, where the only thing festive about them was the generic costumes they wore. While the musicians did their best, the overall atmosphere did not resemble the vibrant Oktoberfest celebration that had been promoted. £20pp for nothing. When a refund was requested the customer feedback team were very unprofessional and you’d be luck to get a reply.

Absolutely love this model village. We went here on the drive home to pop in as we went when we were kids (now 30) and we enjoyed it just as much. It also brought back alot of memories for my parents and my dad spent the most time walking around and taking photos out of all of us (big kid at heart). We even took a ride on the little train for 5 minutes. Definitely a place for all ages and a fun day out. It also has a cafe and a little exhibition room which was great.

This is such a beautiful place to visit we went with our kids and they totally loved it!! The whole tiny town is such a work of art the little details are just amazing!! Our kids were amazed and so were we! There is a little cafe where we get sandwiches and coffee etc. There is a big playarea for kids which they totally enjoy!! The best was the train ride.. so fun we had the best time here! Totally recommend it ❤️❤️❤️

The best place for little train-obsessed five year olds. We have visited the site last year and this year, our little one was constantly talking about it and we had to return. We love the place, it brings so much tranquility and soothe as it moves you in time and place of calm, order and simpler life. The scenery and each detail make you appreciate the way of life we have lost, seems so precious. Pay attention to details - like name on the shops and venues, make you giggle, the train stations and trains running everywhere (the bridge by the castle!). And the horticultural care - what a masterpiece of mini elms, pines, little rivers, cascades. There is a short train ride for families and you can have some fun with operating a boat on a pond. Plenty of koi carps, would be great if we could feed them, too! (Please sell the fish food with tickets!) We discovered new room where old type writer is, what a great fun to do some scenarios and play with props. Playground is also awesome for kids, good food selection in cafe (although I would like to see more healthier options) and plenty of seating area (you can bring your own food). Thank you for being there :)

It lovely beautiful model Village and I love the model steam train so much and it remind me of Thomas the tank engine series of my childhood and I love that show and I love that model Village bekonscot so much my favourite is model Steam Train 🚂.

Bekonscot Model Village is a fun and cute place. Everything is small and detailed little houses, trains, and people. It feels like a tiny world! It’s perfect for families, kids, and anyone with a love for history or craftsmanship. The garden is very pretty and the whole place is clean and well looked after. The staff are kind and helpful. You can also enjoy a snack or drink at the café. A great place to relax and enjoy a peaceful day.

Found this place as a suggestion on Instagram and Facebook, and really wanted to visit. What better time to visit this place is on a sunny day! I enjoyed my visit to this place. First off, I wanted to experience the mini train ride which was fun. The highlight was the miniature houses, landmarks and villages where you get to walk around it! I felt like I was in a different world and I loved it! My favourite part were the mini trains running around the mini village! It added to the beauty of the model village! The staff and the team there have all been amazing and accommodating! Thank you so much guys! One of the train engineers there (I believe his name was Joseph) gave us an inspiring insight about the model village and even mentioned the names of the mini trains which was fascinating. I highly recommend this place for inspiration, for family outing, and also an Instagram-worthy place! 😊❤️🫶🏼

Parking here is free in the church car park opposite the model village entrance. The model village is brilliant and has a gauge 1 size computer controlled model railway running all the time. There are lots of working animatronics and even a trail for the children to follow and search for various items. There is also a children's playground area and also a miniature train to ride on (small extra cost of £1-80 per person). It also has a remote control model boating lake area (small extra charge). There are full facilities of toilets, cafe, ice cream and picnic area. I personally a good day out here (4hrs.); went round it twice and saw things I missed first time round. If you like model villages, then I recommend you visit Bekonscot, it's a great visit.

This is a fantastic place to visit the Abbey has so much to see you will need to spend some time trying to take it all in. The gardens are well worth making sure you get all areas in. Picnic areas and tables dotted about for use some with shade. Toilets at various points around the site.

The gardens and deer park are lovely. I have not visited the Abbey itself yet but if you want a place to get in a walk and wonderful gardens it is great. The maze is interesting and there are several different picturesque spots throughout the garden area. The pottery and café are lovely also.

The gardens are beautiful and well worth a look. It has public toilets and a lovely little gift shop. You can picnic anywhere in the gardens. If you are disabled your carer goes free and your ticket is reduced to nearly half. They have wheelchair hire and mobility scooters for hire which help greatly. I hope this is helpful ☺

A great place to visit. The house is full of historical wonders and the staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. The gardens are glorious on a summer's day, and full of great photo opportunities. The tea house is a nice place to have lunch and reasonably priced.

Absolutely LOVED IT!!! amazing place for families, for couples for everyone I guess. Abbey is at centre of Deer park with couple of ponds which adds so much beautiful views all around. Unfortunately I cannot able to see the inside view of Abbey due to refurbishment take place and it will be back for public in 2021. You can have a very good walk in the park as well as the Woburn Old Town just meters away from this place. Also, when you drive into this park you fell like Richmond park in London. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic afternoon tea (delicious vegan and gf vegan options available) but you need to prebook your dietary requirement. On booking staff were exceptionally friendly and immediately understood vegan and GF vegan requirements. allow yourself extra time (c20mins) to get there on time as you need to check in at main gate and then drive the 2-3 miles to the house and garden entrance. tea rooms were lovely as was the impressive grounds and gardens. i happily would return with the kids for a picnic and maybe next time would take a look inside the Abbey (add on cost).

This is a beautiful place to visit, it hasn't changed much since i came here as a child. It has public toilets and a cafè and beautiful gardens to walk round. If you are disabled your carer gets in free and your ticket is reduced also. You can hire a wheelchair for free or a mobility scooter for £5 ! I loved it , such a calming place steeped in history ☺

Honestly one of the best days out I've ever had with my daughter. Gorgeous, well maintained paths everywhere. Bird hides to watch over the lakes (while she napped). A big, airy cafe with delicious coffee. Lovely museum with staff who clearly adore what they do! We had so much fun talking to the people who were making a dugout canoe with bronze age tools, and exploring the garden, especially after seeing the spinning and weaving and learning about the plants that make the dyes. My daughter adored playing in the adventure play, of course. There's running water and sand, cute little play beach huts, a mural, slides, more than enough to entertain a toddler for hours! It was really lovely and plenty of seating and shade all around. We will definitely be back with my husband for another full day and hopefully add in some cycling 😊😊 Overall, really cannot say enough about how great the site was but even more so how wonderful every staff and volunteer was everywhere we went during our visit. The kindness, patience, and passion was just beyond what you could ask and we really appreciate it!

Absolutely lovely day out with all of my family which included 19 13 13 10 & 10 year old. There was so much to do and see around the whole of the lakes. My kids especially loved the assault course as did my partner (a little to much if you ask me) 😅. The only thing that I found was missing was bins on the walk ways I understand its for safety reasons but the amount of plastic bottles that were just dropped on the floor was awful. My kids did pick up the bottles they could whilst walking round but had to keep hold of them until the bin at the playground area. Other than that we had a fantastic time. Finished of with a lovely picnic near the playground for my youngest 2.

Love visiting here! Went to a netwalking event held in their conference room with walk around small lake. Facilities were clean and food was delicious (bacon sandwich). Great provision for tea, coffee and selection of cold drinks for the event. Staff were friendly and helpful. Outside facilities are the best part, beautiful nature and well kept paths. Usually you need to pay for car park but as we were at an event, parking was free.

I recently spent a few hours at Stanwick Lakes Country Park (Northamptonshire) and had a thoroughly relaxed and memorable time. The setting is beautiful — wide open spaces, shimmering lakes, and plenty of winding paths through nature. Whether you’re walking seriously or just pottering, the place has a lovely peaceful pace. There’s also an impressive adventure playground (and zip-line/assault-course type features) that means if you’re with kids you’ll very likely hear squeals of delight from the central hub of the park. On the nature side, it’s just as good. The bird-hides, wetland spaces and trails provide a chance to slow down, sit on a bench and watch things happen quietly around you. It’s not just manic play and activity—there are corners of genuine calm and reflection. Like all UK parks do go prepared if it’s been raining: as paths can be muddy and may be dry foot wear

What a great place! So much for the kids to do and see. The water feature is great, the climbing frame is well kept and very safe. The toilets are always kept clean and there is a great choice for food and drinks. Actually they have really nice coffee which is rare. Would be good with a few more benches as there is only a few compared to how many visitors they get but bring a picnic blanket and you'll be fine

A very lovely Nature Reserve. Trails are great for riding on, there's lots to see and do. Very pretty area to visit. And the play areas for kids are fantastic too!

Spent a couple of hours here with my daughter this morning. After building a Minecraft money box, ice scream and bacon roll in the cafe, spent just over an hour trolling the outdoor play area, taking a beating from the vertical twisty slide lol.. The venue has lots to offer , walks and activities, including the previous indoor play area now used for arts and crafts.. nice little venue for the children and adults alike. Friendly polite staff and informative of upcoming events , such as trails , arts and crafts etc..

I had a wonderful day at Whipsnade zoo today. Highlights of the day were the brown bear, elephants, rhino’s, giraffes and the birds of the world show. Didn’t see the lynx which was a shame. Didn’t see a lion only a lioness and some cubs. 1 star lost because the tigers enclosure seemed really small and the tiger looked sad pacing around the enclosure. I also felt sad for the chimpanzee who seemed like it was having fun and was very entertaining but again enclosure felt small. Park could also do with more signage to help navigate the way around as although map on the app is good would still be good to have more signage as the grounds are huge and easy to take a wrong path. I also went on the steam train which was £5 for adults but I wouldn’t go on it again. Very big ground with loads of viewpoints and lots of walking however lots of places to sit along the way and plenty of small shops providing snacks and some provide food like hotdogs at £8.50 a pop. I much prefer this zoo to London zoo, I feel like you have better sight of the animals in comparison. One other perk about this zoo is that you can drive around the grounds with an additional fee. There is also free parking with easy access to the zoo. There is also an app with a live moving map which helps you navigate around the park very good.

We had a wonderful day out with the family. It’s a large venue, so comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Families with young children may find a buggy useful, as there’s plenty of ground to cover. Visitors can bring their own packed lunch or enjoy the selection of cafés and restaurants available throughout the site and near the entrance.

First time visiting, absolutely loved it, an amazing day. The enclosures were lovely and spacious, all areas lovely and clean, staff we spoke to were so helpful. We had afternoon tea at view point, which was lovely and the staff really friendly. The day was just brilliant, would highly recommend a visit.

Had a fantastic time visiting whipsnade zoo .. travelled all the way from North Wales.. Easy to find and access ♿ parking was just great for my wife. So much to see and do here for the whole family.. Loved seeing how much open area the animals had to enjoy compared with other zoos.. The zoo covers quite an area.. and it can be explored many ways..foot. train..or by car... Yes if mobility is an issue like my wife it can still be easily explored.. We seen a bus going around..sign simply said..Hail bus driver to stop..jump on a train which was around £5 .. Otherwise drive the car around and stop and explore where you want.. plenty of parking on the side of the road... please drive safely!!.. There is part of the zoo where you can only explore by car or taking the train.. Feels like your on safari.. amazing time When we visited they were giving the flamingo's a health check.. you were invited to ask anything you wanted.. Fantastic interactive experience Cafés , toilets and picnic areas are ample and dotted around the park.. Gift shop as like most places near the exit... Would love to visit again in the future as one visit is simply not enough to see and enjoy everything whipsnade has to offer...

Whipsnade Zoo is in a beautiful location of Dunstable Downs, there is a free car park off site and charge for car to enter, blue badges are free, you can drive around the whole park and there is parking spots at each area of the Zoo so you can view the animals at safe distance. It’s a favourite Zoo of mine due to care of the animals and the enclosures are well maintained. If you visit now you may find parts of the Zoo is being improved and some enclosures updated and cleaned, so some of the animals are relocated, the kangaroos are free roaming the zoo and can be approached but best respect nature. The only part of the experience that requires the most improvement is the toilets most are not regularly cleaned or look clean, the restaurants and food vendors do not offer quality food, the sandwiches were not that appetising and the hotdogs were served in baguette, I didn’t understand the combo nor did my palate. Not that they need a fast food chain there but better menu of food and quality would justify the insane prices like £2 for a bag of crisps. Overall I still recommend this as a great family day out but bring your own lunches and snacks.

THE BUS IS BRILLIANT! Whipsnade is an awesome zoo but the bus service elevates the experience even further! Lots of walking and make sure you dress warmly, but if you get tired legs then the bus is perfect. Can't fault it. Such a friendly driver (Gary) and they come round every 20 mins. Thank you so much

This zoo is possibly one of my favorite ones I have been to. The animals have so much space and the possibility to just hide away if that is what they want. We were there on a cloudy temperate day that made the animals more active so we got to see a lot of them. We saw the penguin talk and the bird show, both are very much recommended, but especially the bird show was super well done and very enriching. I have been about 5 times the last ten years and every time has been a great experience.

Burghley House is really impressive and worth seeing. The building itself is huge and full of history, with amazing details inside and out. Walking through the rooms feels like stepping back in time, and there’s so much to look at you could easily spend hours there. The staff were friendly and happy to answer questions, which made the visit even better. Outside views of the house are just as stunning, especially if the weather is good. It’s the kind of place that makes you go “wow” when you first see it.

It's a huge pile of a place with plenty to see, enormous gardens designed by Capability Brown and a wealth of treasures on view. They are a bit economical with the truth regarding where the money actually came from: if truth be told, political fingers were very much in the till several centuries ago. Clearly nothing has changed! To be frank, I found it rather soulless and dark, especially on an autumn day that started somewhat gloomily. You may love it; I have seen country homes that I warmed to a lot more than this.

What a venue! So much history, so much style. We had our work conference here and it was amazing, the staff were attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, pastries and tea or coffee to start, mini fish and chips or vegetarian option, then charcuteri to finish. I look forward to revisiting to see the house. The House is closed for private functions every Friday & typically, I went on a Friday! 🤦 The walking trails, cafe & shop are still open though & I managed to get a few photos of the outside of the house. It is absolutely stunning & although I may have been able to get some more shots on the other side of the house, it was absolutely sweltering so I contented myself with these & will capture the rest when I can actually visit the property fully at some point. Definitely recommended, just not on a Friday!

The most beautiful palace we have ever visited. It is clear that the owners put great effort into ensuring visitors have access to a wealth of information and a truly enriching experience. The part open for sightseeing is absolutely magnificent – stunning ceiling paintings, the enchanting Heavenly Room, the impressive kitchen, and the elegant library hall. From the windows, you can admire the garden, not accessible to visitors, yet captivating with its carefully and imaginatively trimmed shrubs. The park area is vast, with sections available for free walks as well as paid entry. One of the highlights was spotting a herd of deer behind the fence, including two rare white ones. Truly breathtaking!

A beautiful house well preserved and the art and paintings are incredible. However it cost £22 to go in to the house and you only see a small part of the house. Couldn't go up to the very top and missed alot of levels. The garden is nice to explore with all the waterfalls

Amazing country house and well worth a day out. We drove just under two hours each way to get there and the schlep was totally justified. We spent about and hour and a half each in the gardens and house. The entrance price was £22 each on the door. There are a few options for food, including the Orangery restaurant and Garden Café. Food and drink is reasonably priced, good quality and offers plenty of choice. Souvenirs also cheaper than I have come to expect in such places. Parking is ample and located not too far from the house and gardens. The house is stunning. You don't see too much of it as the family is still living there, but what you do so - the State Rooms - are steeped in history and full of incredible treasures including the largest collection of Chinese and Japanese porcelain outside Asia, stunning examples of marquetry and some incredible murals and celling scenes by Antonio Verrio. The Hell Staircase was a highlight for us. There are lots of friendly volunteers and a fantastic audio guide (priced at £3) to help you along. The gardens are expanisive. We wandered the Floral Tapestry, Garden of Surprises and Sculpture Gardens before running off to see the nearby town of Stamford. The gardens were in full bloom in late August and despite this being a summer Saturday, were not brimming with kids. The Garden of Surprises was quirky but not gimmicky, and the other parkland areas were beautiful. All in all, including a lunch stop, we spent a good 4 hours exploring Burghley House and felt this was an exceptional day out. Plenty of things for kids to do too. You should allow time to visit Stamford too; this is a lovely town. All in all, this is a lovely part of the UK!

Just back from an epic day at the Herring Green farm. My family and I had booked my husband an eagle experience which I would highly recommend. The falconer Erin was fantastical she took time to show us so many of the eagle and some eagle owls. My husband held and flew the massive beautiful birds and really enjoyed his experience. We had young children with us and there was lots to play on and keep them amused. All staff were very welcoming and friendly We went on a Sunday and it was very quiet which was perfect for us to look around.

Absolutely fantastic day out. Got the deal through virgin experiences and had an amazing day. The lady Lisa was so informative and clearly had a huge love for all the birds. Going to book to go back

On the positive side -The woman that did the display was fantastic. She really knew her stuff, she answered everyone’s questions and was entertaining. - Lots of amazing beautiful birds when we walked around in cages and used in the display. - They released lot of birds at a time to music which was really good to see so many flying at the same time. On the negative side - The receptionist was rude to all 4 of us when we arrived. She was clearly annoyed she had given us 4 stickers before our 2 other friends had arrived, like we’d deceived her for some reason ! She also denied telling us to wait in the field as the display had started elsewhere. We all very negative about the place before we’d even started. - The display group was far too big. We were in a group of 28 people so when the birds were being passed around we waited for ages before we could hold the birds. Also taking part in the displays took ages to include everyone. So became very boring which was a shame because the display was good otherwise. Overall, good quality but needs to be smaller groups 1/2 the time, and better reception.

Absolutely love this place. We've been here a few times now and every time I come away with some new nugget of information I never knew about the wonderful birds they have there. All the staff clearly love what they do, and what they do is so important not just for the birds but for educating the people that visit.

I booked the 3 hour falconry experience for my dad, partner and child. They said it was absolutely brilliant and completely exceeded expectations. We were worried that 3 hours was too long and that the rain would ruin the morning, but they said it was jam packed, the group was lead by Laura who was great, there were sooo many amazing birds that each member of the group got an opportunity to hold, they watched a great display and learned a lot. The rain didn't put them off at all and everyone left very happy. On a different note, my partner said the coffee in the coffee shop was the worst he had ever tasted in his life! I did have a look and opted to go into Bedford instead to have a coffee and wait for them to finish. I guess the facilities could be better but that's not what they were there for.

The centre has a wide range of birds of prey and a good flying exhibition. Small people can also hold an owl, which is quite special. The rest of the facilities are looking rather tired - for example there were lots of nettles growing round the kids activity area. It’s not too expensive so, on balance, a good half day out for the family.

I had a 2 hour bird of prey experience and the guy in charge “Riley” was an absolute professional as well as having a sense of humour. Riley was very health and safety conscious and explained everything so we understood the birds and there behaviour whilst holding them. Riley was very knowledgeable and explained everything about each bird in a calm and controlled manner,I could easily relate and understand him completely. Each bird I held was an amazing experience from Owls all the way upto a Bald Eagle with Riley by my side watching and reassuring me every step of the way. As a member of the RSPB I could identify most of the birds but Riley’s knowledge was supreme. Riley is a massive asset to the Farm and his customer service was the best I’ve ever seen a true professional at all times. Thankyou so much for the experience of a life time 10/10 I highly recommend this bird of prey experience to anyone.i hope you remember me the big tall guy who needed a bigger glove,Thankyou again.

Fabulous railway experience from a bygone age. Two hour duration if you choose to run the entire line there and back. There's plenty of eateries along the journey at stations or on board the catering car. There are workshops and a museum to explore as well. A thoroughly enjoyable day out.

If your into this kind of thing it is upmost a wonderful day out. The volunteers are absolutely lovely me and the wife had a very nice few hours away from the kids. Unfortunately we did not have the steam train because no one to drive it but all in all a lovely day and very relaxing 😎

Popped along to the Thomas Branch Line Experience with my son and daughter. This goes from Wansford to Yarwell. Easy to get tickets online (advised). Plenty of parking when we arrived. Great facilities including toilets, cafe and gift shop. The staff/volunteers are so pleasant. We even got to go on the footplate of Thomas! We didn't travel the full line this day towards Peterborough (which was being pulled by a Class 45 with Continental Coaches), but this is definitely something we plan to do in the future.

Visited for the Afternoon Tea train ride, we were able to book a Gluten Free option which was clearly marked and separate on the platter! It was such a lovely afternoon out and we're looking forward to visiting again soon

A really lovely afternoon out. No steam trains at the moment due to the potential for sparks causing fires along the way. The countryside is tinder dry. We had a very good diesel instead. We had a lovely compartment to ourselves. A small cafe and loo in the train also.

We had a fantastic day out at Nene Valley Railway! We started with a lovely picnic on the train, with a cup of tea from the train’s bar carriage. The café served a delicious Bakewell tart that was the perfect treat before our steam train adventure. One of the highlights was getting the chance to drive a train – an unforgettable experience! We even spotted Thomas the Tank Engine having a day off, which was a delightful surprise for kids (and grown-ups alike). Nene Valley Railway is a wonderful destination for families and anyone with a love of trains. Between the authentic steam engines, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to make special memories. Highly recommended!

Enjoyable morning, belated fathers day gift, tea room at Overton nice, staff on and off the platform friendly and really seemed to enjoy their work.

We had a fantastic day out at Hamerton Zoo and Park! The zoo itself is beautifully kept. It had spotless pathways, clean enclosures, and a real sense that the animals are well cared for. It’s a lovely place to explore and perfect for families looking for a relaxed, nature filled outing. One of the absolute highlights for us was the Dinosaur Express Train Ride, it was such a fun and unique experience! The train takes you on a gentle ride past life-sized dinosaur models, which were a huge hit with the kids and surprisingly impressive for the adults too. A definite must do if you’re visiting! All of the staff we encountered throughout the park were polite and welcoming, and the whole place had a calm, friendly atmosphere. On a less positive note, I purchased a souvenir mug for my husband at the end of the visit. Unfortunately, there were no boxes available, so I asked for it to be wrapped to prevent any damage on our way home. The gentleman who served us was very helpful and more than happy to assist. However, the female staff member who was also present was quite unpleasant. She rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and returned with the mug wrapped in a single sheet of kitchen towel, which felt a bit dismissive and unprofessional, especially considering it was a fragile item. Despite that small disappointment, our overall experience at Hamerton Zoo and Park was really enjoyable, and I’d still highly recommend a visit. It’s a wonderful day out for all ages, with great attractions, lovely animals, and mostly excellent staff.

Always loved Hamerton Zoo. Used to visit a lot with my children now have purchased season ticket to take grandson. Not too far for us so can go regularly. Love the bird house and nice to see the improvements over the years with lots undercover. Nice enclosures. Play park vastly improved. Large cat area still being updated. Cafe whilst improved facilities is seriously lacking. Food pretty awful but coffee and cake fine. Missing a trick I think as some good healthy food choices & a range of cakes would be far better. Didn't see any baby food options. Gift shop looks OK but at the end of the day am going to see the animals so its a fab day out!

Massive area, plenty to see. A range of animals that are clearly taken care of. This can be seen with nails, fur, food it is individual care for each animal. Staff are very busy which shows their priority. Unfortunately not many big cats, 2 Tigers and 1 Cheetah. There is a big child's play area which is sublime. The food was limited and VERY difficult for Gluten Free Diet. Which needs to be changed. The animals liek Gabons and Lemurs need more space. The floor area was pristine tidy!! Great job team. No one seen smoking. There was Vapes

BEST Zoo i’ve attended. It brought me back to childhood. I cannot express how thoroughly i enjoyed the vast amount of animals, the expansive nature of the zoo park is great for a full days worth of fun! We came during the October half term and did not feel overwhelmed with people because there is a great amount of space, easy parking, large spacious bathrooms that were cleaned throughout the day. I cannot say a bad word. The cafe serve tasty hot meals, quick to arrive and reasonably priced. The cafe was a squeeze however, we attended during the lunch time rush, there is outdoor seating if you can brave the cold. Hot drinks and cakes also available. I feel Hamerton zoo park is brilliant for all ages- my daughter fell in love with the amazing playground with a zip line, high climbing frame and interesting cube maze that was fun and challenging. We will certainly be back with more family in the Summer.

We had a good day. There was plenty to do but they need better signage to indicate where the train tickets are sold. The train was good for younger children. Lots of animals although we couldn't see that many. Maybe it was too hot and a lot were sheltering from the sun. Adventure playground very good for all ages.

Really good zoo! Had such a good variety of animals. We went on a day where it rained a little and a lot of the main walk ways have shelter which was ideal. Pushchair friendly. We loved seeing the animals and we loved the train ride that you can pay extra to go on. The play area for kids was incredible. Never seen anything like it. Perfect for little kids and older kids. Will deffo be back.

Brilliant place. Big enough for a day out, small enough to get around again if somethings not out. Some very unusual zoo based critters, we say around 6 or 7 we've never seen before. For example wombats, ardwolves, dingos, brown hyenas Really kid friendly, play areas are very good. Very wheel chair and mobility scooter friendly. It"s clearly a zoo that's growing, the animals look really happy and breeding. Can't wait to keep visiting and see whose next to arrive. Cafe is limited for gluten free, but you can get a jacket, chips and I think the burger or 1 of the hotdogs.

I live in London, and visiting this city and this cathedral was one of the most beautiful experiences I had over the weekend. It was truly enjoyable. St Albans Cathedral is absolutely stunning — it feels like every wall and door has a story to tell, as if they’ve witnessed countless events over the centuries. The atmosphere is peaceful yet powerful, and walking through the cathedral felt like stepping into history. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves architecture, history, or simply beautiful places.

A magnificent architectural with loads of history and story. We visited in a weekday thus not crowded at all. You will be embraced by a deep sense of peace and afford to slow down to appreciate the view around you. Worth a visit together with the town.

The sheer scale of St Albans Cathedral, a structure of profound history and weight, provided the perfect canvas for the Poppy Fields light installation by Luxmuralis last night. It was more than an event; it was a deeply moving, sensory experience designed for quiet contemplation and remembrance. The massive, soaring architecture of the Nave, usually bathed in the soft glow of natural light or high electric lamps, was utterly transformed by darkness and vibrant digital projection.

This an absolutely stunning building dating originally from the Norman period but with additions over the centuries. The place was a pilgrimage site long before the Norman's arrived and the tomb of St Alban is still a pilgrimage site today. The cathedral possesses the longest nave of any cathedral in Britain and there are a number of medieval frescoes still visible; fascinating even if somewhat faded.

Being there you imagine that the place is nearly 1000!!!!! Years old. Some buildings were built from the Romans bricks. It is the oldest and one of the most significant church in England. This church saw everything. Besides that, town is beautiful, going there you should have enough time. It is hard to find the parking lot.

Absolutely enjoyed my visit. A stunning place that showcases its long history through a mix of architectural styles. I just loved every single detail, from the floor and columns to the ceiling.

Enjoyed our visit there. They have a free guided tour of the cathedral which runs for about an hour; I strongly recommend it. The entry is free too!

A beautifully designed and built cathedral. Are there better ones - depends upon what is considered better, this one is full of history and stunning architectural details. There was a 5 pound charge to visit the chancel but I did not think that excessive considering the maintenance costs on this building. If you visiting Peterborough, this is not to be missed. Also a lovely place for some self reflection and hop out of the daily trials of life.

What a great cathedral. The architecture is amazing and walking inside its so spacious and the art work is amazing. Such a peaceful place. The cathedral is right in the city centre of Peterborough and you can’t miss it with the walk way leading to it. The cathedral looks so beautiful and grand from the outside and when you walk in it looks so nice

An impressive building with the three arches. The Nave is beatiful too with the wooden ceilings, etc. An amazing building. But, I was disappointed to find that in order to visit the chancel and other areas at the back of the cathedral, I would have to pay an entrance fee of £5.50, you have to buy tickets at the information desk. There is no clear signage of that being the case, nothing to inform me of this. You need to be more clear as it does not say on your website or indeed on any signage that I looked at that there is a fee.

Like majority of Cathedrals in the UK, Peterborough cathedral has stunning Gothic architecture and a real sense of history. The intricate ceilings and beautiful stained glass are breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a perfect place to pause and reflect.

I have visited a lot of Cathedrals over the year across England, and this has to be one of best that l have seen. l was very impressive with both the inside and the outside of this cathedral. I would highly recommend coming here. The cathedral is free to visted, but there is a donation box/card reader if you would like give something.

Superlative example of a cathedral lots of spectacular details and information and friendly and helpful staff. Gift shop didn't seem open and if they did contactless donations we would have.

This is one of my favourite cathedrals in UK, just beautiful. Check out their xmas fayre in November each year .. fabulous

What a wonderful place this is your visit, especially if you're a history lover or architecture enthusiast! I absolutely adored the rambling Gardens with a choice of different length walks, the cafe was very relaxed with a range of food and drinks but the highlight for me was the incredible tour of the old Elizabethan building by very knowledgeable and friendly Dermot! What a pleasure it was to enjoy such an in depth and interesting talk by such an experienced gentleman. We would definitely visit again!!

Visited the gardens only. Some of the most beautifully curated public gardens in SE England. Very lucky to be able to visit the East Garden which is only open to the public on certain Wednesdays. Some nice woodland walks as well although I would have to say that these aren't fantastically signposted.

It was very lovely place to visit. Free parking and only short walk to the house and gardens. Very brilliant, smiley and pleasant people work there, it was not a problem for them to help us use the lift a few times,so thank you.! It makes the visit so much easier and nicer. It's not easy to get around everywhere if you have a buggy or especially the walker.. Very recommend this place to visit!

What a gorgeous hidden gem just north of London crammed full of history. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides in each room. Check out their website as they put on ‘festival’ type events. The grounds are well kept. Only downside for me was you have to pay extra to go into the palace (£8 I believe). The ‘marmite’ fountain at the back of the house is interesting. I loved it. I will definitely be back.

I don't even know where to start to describe this fantastic place! We spent about five hours there and loved every single minute of it. There is just so much to see! We first visited the Gardens, which are stunning. Then we spontaneously opted for a guided tour of the Old Palace, which absolutely blew us away. I must admit that when we had decided to visit Hatfield House, we weren't even aware of the Old Palace and its significant history, so it felt like an extra bonus. Our guide was not only very knowledgeable, but also extremely engaging - a pure joy to listen to and get lost in the stories from days gone by. And then the house itself, which is absolutely marvellous in every respect. The staff in each of the rooms were genuinely eager to tell their story and engage with the visitors, so we were able to have long chats, which we thoroughly enjoyed! A long walk to the Oak Tree and back completed our visit, which exceeded our expectations by far. It didn't go unnoticed that unlike most historic houses in Britain, the gift shop was mostly stocked with local produce, rather than the usual souvenirs. But although we couldn't find anything to buy, we didn't even mind that. I got the feeling that despite all its fascinating history and splendour, Hatfield House doesn't seem nearly as commercialised as many similar places (we were surprised about the small number of visitors in the middle of summer), and that would actually seem a good thing. As a result, our visit had a very intimate touch, and we felt individually valued, rather than being a part of big masses of tourists passing through. Our visit turned out to be the highlight of our 10-day holiday in the UK!

Huge gardens & park with multiple routes for avid walkers / dog walking & a fantastic set up for a lovely morning / family day out. Easy parking, we visited their shops and cafe in their entry area, headed to the loo, got ice cream and made our way around their grounds in a beautiful sunny day! Might feel expensive for a walk but a worthy day out for family / friends and a great adventure location with food, facilities, and beautiful nature! Head here for a great day out when the sun is up!

You can feel the history at Hatfield house. You have the spectacular house, built by Robert Cecil, along with the old palace, where Elizabeth 1st and Edward would have been bought up. You can almost imagine them playing in the wonderful West Gardens as you walk around. The staff are full of information and love to share their wealth of knowledge, just ask. After the house, we went for a walk through the woods, down to the picturesque river. My mother is in a wheelchair, but we had no problems getting around. Everywhere is accessible. Just be prepared for some inclines in the woodland walks.

Have been here many times over the years and have always loved it. The food is always delicious but the beef short rib I had yesterday was just amazing! I must go back and have it again! The Jolly Waggoner is my absolute favourite pub, I’m so lucky to have it close by!

Bright and attractive bar and eating areas full of character. Menu is appealing: Pheasant Tagliatelle was just delicious. Locally sourced too. Only 3 stars for service as questions and requests about the food were not accurate. Eg twice checked that the gnocchi was meat free but then found it contained meat. Asked for unsalted chips for baby and these were heavily salted. They did replace the latter however. Service charge is added automatically too.

This is my first ever review but after my experience here, I had to review it. This pub has the atmosphere and posture of an old oak barn. You can smell remnants of fires that have been and gone, stories that have been written and told here. It makes you feel like you’re 8 years old again and papa has come home. Oh and the staff was slow as anything. Maybe get some more. All of that taken into consideration, my overall rating is eh can either take it or leave it

We came across this wonderful little pub on a long afternoon walk with the dogs. This pub is unspoilt and traditional, just what we love! The staff were so very welcoming! Big smiles and were making a fuss of our pooches. Decent pint of Guinness sealed the deal for me!

Came here 5 or 6 years ago and it wasn't up to much food wise but there must be a new chef because everything was amazing . Pheasant tagliatelle was banging and the steak was perfectly cooked with a huge pile of crispy french fry style chips. Also some lovely well kept cask ale courtesy of Woodfordes and some Adnams bottles . Can't recommend enough .

Great location with a decent beer garden for the kids to run around in when sunny. We went for Saturday lunch at 12 and it was chaos. There's a camp site across the road and so people descend in groups. Menu and food is below average. The kids pizzas were 5 inch microwaved tosh and the burgers made maccys look like the golden ticket. Sharing boards were ok for snacks. If you're camping, then have a look given the convenience, but I wouldn't go out of your way.

Excellent pub and the food was amazing, from portion size to the Jolly burger it was great. We were camping at the farm really recommend the place even though the cows were mooing at 2330 and the sheep at 4am 🤣

The road to the zoo is a bit narrow and winding, and driving with the steering wheel on the opposite side made it even more unusual. This is a truly small family-oriented zoo with an interesting selection of animals. Everything was clean and well maintained, and we enjoyed the visit. I was especially excited to see capybaras and meerkats. Personally, it was also fascinating to observe the visitors — many families with two or more children. The food was decent, but because of the strong wind and too many wasps outside, the experience was mixed. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a day with family.

Visited for my daughter’s birthday and it was great all round. The entire place is very well designed and in good condition. We tried food at a few of the outlets and all were good quality tasting food - not amazing but not the typical greasy nonsense you get. It’s good that you can walk around each area multiple times and in different directions so you really feel like you get the most out of your ticket. Price wise was good, about average and like I said there is plenty to do when inside. All the animals we saw looked happy, no concerns there.

A brilliant zoo, I would say one of the best we have visited. It was busy but we didn't feel it, its nicely spread out so you never feel crowded, it was also very clean and tidy. The staff were fantastic, even when doing something they were happy to answer questions on animals, they were all happy, friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. The animals all seemed happy and healthy with a lovely variety. As with all zoos it would be nice to see them with more space. The food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Nice to have the mix of animals, the dino trail and parks too. It is 3.5hours away from us but worth every minute in the car. Would 100% recommend

Great zoo, loved the red panda experience, keeper was very friendly and informative in answering any questions I had. Loved getting to see the two red pandas being introduced to each other. Got good views of the animals, some of the viewing windows were quite wet with condensation which blocked views but not much to be done about that. Lots of kids so was quite noisy but think I came in the school holidays. Only negative was one of the jaguars was pacing around a lot in its enclosure, hopefully it was just waiting for food or something like that and not stressed. Got Uber easily to/from the train station. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

A really good day out. I went with my sister and my two teenagers and we all thoroughly enjoyed our day. The theming, informative signs, viewing areas/platforms and eateries were very good. Of course the wonderful animals were the highlight and I can recommend attending the bird show! At the end of the day we even had a train ride around the dinosaur area for £2 each, which ended the day nicely.

A family favourite. My son was two when we went and he loved the dinosaurs section even though I was worried he was too young, there are some bits that are slightly gruesomely but you can quickly go past them. It’s good fun and you can then go to the zoo and look at the animals. It’s very well organised and clean. Limited option for food and as with any of these venues, it’s overpriced for the quality you get.

Hertfordshire Zoo is a fantastic family-friendly destination with a great variety of animals and interactive zones. The enclosures are well maintained , highlights include the lions, camels, and alpacas, all easy to view up close. The “World of Animals” and “Tumble Jungle” soft play area add extra fun for kids, with clearly scheduled play sessions. The zoo is clean, well signposted, and offers a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. A perfect day out for families with young children!

Had an absolutely unforgettable experience skydiving. From start to finish, everything was smooth, safe, and exciting. A big thank you to my instructor Leigh, who kept me calm, guided me every step of the way, and made sure I enjoyed every second in the sky. And hats off to Dave, the photographer, for capturing the whole experience perfectly and helping me feel at ease. I felt completely safe, well taken care of and truly one of the best experiences of my life! Highly recommend this place and the amazing team behind it. 🙌🪂

Wow, what an amazing experience! Instructor Gary made me feel so comfortable and safe, hopefully his ears have recovered from my screaming! Sean captured some amazing memories on film and in photos too! The whole day from start to finish was brilliant I couldn’t fault it at all. Thank you to all the staff for a 5 star service would highly recommend, I’ll be back!

One of the life time bucket lists ticked off. Amazing group of professionals who can take you on tandem skydiving with proper guidelines and make you feel at ease. Amazing experience. Thanks to my instructor, Mauris who made it even more enjoyable. The wait sometimes might be more than you think just because of wind or unpredictable weather. The place is equipped with a cafe to keep you stuffed in such a case. Lovely people and it can be quite busy. The footage, videos and pictures are classy too.

We finally made it on our fourth attempt because of the weather, but it was really easy to rebook every time. The day we did jump was glorious so it felt like a reward for our patience... and it was definitely worth the wait! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and I felt like I was in safe hands the entire time. The only problem was...the whole jump was over all too soon and I need to do it all over again because I know I missed so much!🤣Definitely upping my game to 15,000 feet next time...

Thank you so so much for such an incredible experience. 3 of us did our sky dive today (Donna, Laura and myself) we jumped for charity (Just George - CCLG childhood cancer and lukemia research) raising over £2000 doing the jump. We was so grateful for the charity discount. Chris Beattie was my instructor and he was lovely, very reassuring and proffesional. I felt safe at all times, the whole experience for me was life changing - I really hope it won't be my last jump, I loved it so much! Thank you Chris and team, such a well organised and enjoyable experience.

What can I say ,it was an amazing experience doing my parachute jump today .From start to finish ,training, video, instructor's instructions to actually jumping out of the plane at 10,000 ft. My actual tandem instructor made me feel at ease and explained every instruction so clear and precise. What an amazing experience advise anyone to have a go .. brilliant. Thank you to all the skydivers and staff for making this experience exceptional.

I wanted to get my 63 years old mom to sky dive with me and it was just the best feeling ever . No words can describe it. Everyone is super professional and helpful and kind. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. If you visit Cambridge, this should be definitely in your bucket list. To go punting in river Cam. It was a wonderful experience. You can book a boat for yourself, or you can share a boat, and if you're confident enough, you can ride on your own.

If you’re in Cambridge, make sure to go “punting” on the River Cam. Rent a boat for £30, spend a few hours paddling down the river. You’ll cross the Bridge of Sighs, the Mathematical Bridge, and many others. Many guided tours available. The red boats offer alcohol for sale. Excellent leisure activity in the afternoon with family or friends.

It was glorious going on the river with others punting. The guide was so well informed. It was a joyous experience

As soon as my boat start journey I feel I’m in a magical land for the time of my River Cam tour on the punt. Can’t explain the atmosphere in words. A must experience thing in the whole of Cambridge. The weather was cold but bright day and got some pics. I would recommend not focusing on taking pictures much coz you’ll loose the feel of the punting trip. This river is a source of great nature beauty, swans, bridges as well as colleges universities n many historical buildings. There must b lovely walks especially in summer or spring when the weather is on peak n gives u all to make an amazing atmosphere.

A charming riverside to spend your weekend! with some famous colleges to keep you architectural company...throw in a picnic and there you are in Paradise! 👍✌

I was in a magical land for that one hour in River Cam on the punt. Can’t explain the ambience in words. A must must visit in the whole of UK. We went in late November, but the weather was kind and got some amazing pictures. I would recommend not focusing on taking pictures much coz you’ll loose the feel of the punting trip.

The total experience of punting down the River Cam in the educational city of Cambridge was so awesome. It was exciting and calming at the same time, passing under various bridges and flanked by historic buildings like St. John's College and Queen's College among others. The views are picturesque and breathtakingly beautiful.

Beautiful Cathedral King’s College Chapel is an amazing architectural building of Gothic Art. Probably one of the most iconic landmarks in this city. We highly recommend the visit. It is very unique, but tremendously stunning!

Words are wasted here - one of the finest monuments to Perpendicular architecture anywhere. Go in, have your breath taken away, admire the paintings, and try and keep your heart in your chest. The fan vaulting is like no other. Pick a sunny, still day, and approach the college from the Backs, the classic side - you avoid the tourists, feel more like a student 😉 And when you are done, take some time sitting on the Backs, and appreciate that Rupert Brooke and others used to punt to here from Grantchester for their lectures. I'm guessing (hoping?) in straw boaters

Indeed a very very special place. We were lucky that a former student has shown us this area. With all the details and historical parts of the Kings college chapel. All these details are so special that you need to take the time to observe all the details of this chapel. The colors, the building architecture in relation with the stories is amazing. You can easily enter this chapel via the main entrance of the Kings College. Please do vist the total area which is amazing and combine this visit with the other College areas in Caimbridge.

There is a reason this is a must stop. The ceiling alone was worth the price of admission. The stain glass work was very human. It needs renovation. They seemed to admire the "modern man" in several panels which caught my attention. Yes, all the tourists stop here. . .for a reason.

The locals are incredibly polite and friendly, always happy to help or share a recommendation. Whether you're punting, visiting museums, or simply enjoying a coffee by the river, the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming.

Can only visit the chapel by attending a service. We went to Evensong - a truly uplifting place. It made me feel very humbled. The choristers were serene.

The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge is truly a gem—and completely free! Founded in 1816 from the personal collection of Richard Fitzwilliam, it has grown into a world-class museum with stunning collections of art, antiquities, manuscripts, and decorative arts. The building itself is beautiful, with grand galleries and a light-filled central hall. Highlights include works by Turner, Monet, and Van Dyck, as well as fascinating Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artifacts. Every corner has something to surprise you, from delicate miniatures to imposing sculptures. Whether you’re an art lover, history enthusiast, or just curious, it’s easy to spend hours exploring. A perfect cultural stop in Cambridge, and a must-see for both locals and visitors.

This is a fantastic museum and if you’re interested in art, it would be a reason enough to come to Cambridge, even if you have nothing else while you’re here. There’s a lot of nice impressionist paintings as well as other realist and pointillism from around the same time. As you could see in the photos, the Holdings for armory, Greek, Roman, Egyptian, ceramics are very extensive. I’ve got a big gift shop in a very nice little café on site as well. It’s really nice.

A true oasis of culture and beauty in the heart of Cambridge. Whenever I have a bit of time I like to walk in and get a good dose of inspiration. The museum never disappoints. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. I like the new, more modern display mixing various periods under different themes, it's refreshing. There are always fascinating temporary exhibitions too. The café and gift shop are also excellent. All in all, the Fitzwilliam museum is a must if you have more than several hours in Cambridge.

An outstanding museum in an impressive building! It offers a compact and clearly arranged collection of works of art, priceless historical artefacts, coins and much more. It may seem surprising to someone from Germany, but like many other institutions in England, admission to the Fitzwilliam Museum is free. Culture should not be commercialised and should be accessible to everyone – the UK is absolutely on the right track here. Anyone who is in Cambridge and has not yet visited the Fitzwilliam Museum has really missed out on a significant opportunity!

The Fitzwilliam Museum was much bigger than I expected and definitely worth visiting. There’s a surprisingly large collection of drawings and artworks, and you can easily spend hours exploring without getting bored. I also bought a ticket for the ancient exhibition. It was quite small, but well-curated and genuinely interesting. Overall, a great experience and absolutely worth the trip. I’d recommend it to anyone spending time in Cambridge.

Very nice museum with a lots of different arts displayed from various era and places. If you like arts your place is here when you visiting Cambridge. The entry was free, the staff was polite and helpful all the way. Please make a note turn off your phone flash as it harms the the displayed arts. The staff also will ask you politely. You can take many photos as you want. Very diverse and nice collection. Recommended to visit it. I post pictures from my favourite part the armory.

Excellent museum in Cambridge, with an amazing art gallery and Egyptian, greek&Rome artifacts to name a few. Nice cafe and shop. Highly recommended A+++

Fantastic day, need more than one day to see everything. We mainly done hanger 1, the US area and the outside planes. These were knowledgeable and informative. We became members so we can come back a few more times. 100% recommended. All the staff we spoke to were lovely.

Great museum. It's huge. Spread over several hangars and buildings, and includes a Concorde, B52, SR71, U2 and many others. When we visited there were lots of light aircraft and classic planes like spitfires and bi-planes flying as well. There are several restaurants, a free shuttle bus, large gift shop and lots of volunteers (in red) more than happy to help. Car parking is free.

The Duxford Air Museum is an absolutely incredible place to visit! The collection is vast and beautifully displayed. The exhibitions are informative and engaging, with plenty of interactive displays and stories that bring the history of flight to life. Watching aircraft take off and land right in front of you is an unforgettable experience. There are also great facilities — plenty of parking, a nice café with good food and coffee, and lots of space for families to explore.

As a big aviation enthusiast, I was really looking forward to exploring the site and seeing some of the iconic aircraft up close. There was a short wait to buy tickets, and while the entry price did seem quite steep, I was happy enough to pay it for the chance to see the planes I’d come for. Unfortunately, the gentleman at the ticket desk (older, with white hair and a beard) was rather unfriendly and didn’t offer the warmest of welcomes — not the best start to the day. My first stop was the Concorde, which I’ve always wanted to experience. There were two staff members standing by the entrance, but they seemed too caught up in their own conversation to greet visitors or answer questions. Once onboard, there was no one available to provide information or engage with visitors, which was disappointing — especially for such a famous aircraft. After leaving Concorde, I made a beeline for the commercial airliners on display outside — the part of the visit I was most excited for. Unfortunately, when I arrived, all of them were closed for the day except the aircraft in British Airways livery. While that one was open and staffed, and the gentleman onboard was extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer my questions (thank you for that!), I couldn’t help feeling disappointed that the others were shut. Throughout my visit, I also noticed that staff presence around the site felt quite sparse. In several areas, particularly around the commercial airliners, I had a lot of questions but couldn’t find anyone to ask. I was later told that access to the aircraft varies by day, which feels like a bit of a “luck of the draw” situation — fine if communicated clearly, but frustrating when you’ve paid full price and key exhibits aren’t open. Overall, while I did enjoy parts of the visit and found the open aircraft fascinating, the lack of staff engagement, limited access to exhibits, and inconsistent communication left me feeling underwhelmed. With such an incredible collection, I had hoped for a more welcoming and interactive experience.

Incredible place! Honestly the best aviation museum I have ever been to and one of the best museums I have been to overall. Lots to see, lots to interact with, actually getting into some of the planes, many elevated platforms and floors to see these huge aircraft from different angles. The airfield is active with all sorts taking off and landing throughout the day. Accessibility for wheelchair users is great too.

Very extensive collection contained at an active airfield. Vintage planes taking off and landing all day was a huge perk! To see these aircraft still flying is indeed a pleasure! Everything was in good order and labeled. Well worth spending the day here; so very much to see and experience!

Visited IWM Duxford during the school summer holidays and explored at our own pace. The vast hangars packed with iconic aircraft—from Spitfires to Concordes—bring aviation history to life. Interactive exhibits, flight simulators, and outdoor displays kept everyone engaged. Super accessible with wide paths and family facilities. A brilliant day out for all ages!
