Lovely breakfast here. Quality of food was fantastic and the kind staff even offered us a birthday drink! The food is more on the expensive side but this wasn't too much of an issue when the quality is so high We went and there were only about 5 tables in use and 4 staff on shift. Unfortunately due to it not being busy the staff were very relaxed and chatting/laughing most the time front of house which isnt an issue but we had to wait a long time for service and plates were not cleared before we had to eventually get up to go pay the bill. This was a little disappointing but wouldn't stop us returning again for a delicious breakfast in beautiful surroundings. 😀

This was the best wine tour I’ve been on so far. Most tours are interesting but our guide, William, just had a breadth of knowledge and dry sense of humour that elevated this one to the top. The equipment Bolney use is also very professional compared to some of the rustic small French vineyards. The use of local cheese, chocolate and salami during the tasting was different. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited here for Sunday lunch with friends on a lovely day in June. The restaurant, on the first floor above the shop and cafe, is light & airy, with both indoor and balcony tables. Great views overlooking the vines. The food quality was excellent, as were the wines. We particularly enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Noir. All of the staff are really friendly, efficient and hard working. Highly recommended.

We have just had the most amazing wine tasting tour at Bolney Wine Estate. The wines were fabulous and our tour guide very knowledgeable and so enthusiastic. The food pairings were done with local cheeses utterly delicious and the meze sharing platters were super. The whole afternoon could not be faulted in any way. Thankyou.

Absolutely brilliant! We've been on a lot of Italian wine tours but no U.K. ones until yesterday (06/07/25). From the start it was so well put together, taste some wine, have a tour of the vineyard, some more wine and some food. The guide was exceptional with his knowledge, informative and very friendly. We started off with a glass of wine and some info on the set up and running of the vineyard, then a walk around the vines with details of their growth etc. Into the storage facility and a talk on the wine making process. Back to the main building for some more wine with tastings of different food and how they affect the taste. Finished off with a large plate of meat/cheeses etc. From start to finish it was very enjoyable and the other people doing the tour were friendly as well so we all had a good time. 10/10. It's so good to see an English company doing well.

One of a few vineyards in the area we hadn’t visited but stopped off on way home . So glad we did. Great venue lovely staff dogs welcome even inside at the cafe. Great wine and topped of with a great piece of cake. What more can I say. Perfect place

Excellent experience all round. We did the 1pm 3 hour tour tasting with a sharing platter lunch. The tour guide was brilliant- really informative and interesting with a perfectly pitched sense of humour . We started off with a glass of sparkling as we learnt the history of English wine making/ Bolney. So fascinating to walk through the vineyards and visit the winery - to really start to understand the wine making process from vine growing to bottling. This was followed by tasting of wine. Finished off with a really tasty sharing board of meat cheese n bits! Absolute recommend this tour - don’t hesitate to book!

The gardens are always lovely and such a pleasure to walk in at any time of year. The house was interesting with rooms open to see and lots of exhibits with information about the last owners and guests who had visited. The volunteer staff were knowledgeable and welcoming. A lovely day out.

Beautiful National Trust house and gardens. The trails are all pushchair/wheelchair friendly and there is so much to do and see. The wildflower garden is amazing and the café and facilities are all very good. I recommend going early as the car park filled up quickly.

Beautiful walk we took the orange route which took 2 hours with the 7 year old in toe but was an easy stroll . All dog owners were respectable and put their dogs on leads before crossing our path. My cane corso is very anxious and still in training it was a very stress free walk . Parking was free and plenty to see . I let my boy take the photos . So this what was seen by a 7 year old

Easy parking, great buggy tour with history talk for those in our party less able to walk. Beautiful gardens, romantic, wild feel to it all. Went for a walk in the woods down to a lake, just remember to take the code from reception so you can get through the gate and back into Nymans

A recent first for us to visit Nymans, and we've been twice in as many weeks..! Fantastic grounds, gardens, and the house too is a spectacular place, in it's semi-ruined state... Autumn also added to the feast of colour for the eyes as well... Will return again, that's for sure... 👍👍👍

A fantastic place to visit with kids. Nymans has so much open space for children to run around and explore—it’s perfect for a family day out. We brought a picnic and found plenty of peaceful spots with beautiful views to sit and relax. The gardens are full of interesting plants and flowers, and there’s always something new to spot and talk about. There were also children’s activities on during our visit, which kept the kids entertained for hours. They were completely absorbed and had such a great time. It’s one of those places where you can easily spend the whole day. Highly recommend for families!

I've been visiting Tilgate Park for many years and always have an enjoyable walk, whatever the weather. The walled garden is well kept and always worth a visit. Bought a cake from the cafe to takeaway which was yummy and homemade; although it's not always open so best to check before visiting/ relying on it being open for lunch/ snacks. There are features to see around the park and there are activities if you want to do them. Generally a lovely place to explore

Great park close to K2 Leisure Centre, I discovered this beautiful park while I was walking around the centre between the swimming competition sessions. Great views, the park got woods, nature centre, walled garden, lakes, playground, Goo Ape Tree Top junior, restaurant, picnic tables, station if you want to give a wash to your dog, public toilets and paid parking spaces. Some of the activities are free others you have to pay. Doesn’t matters the age is something for everyone to do, definitely recommended.

My family and I had a wonderful experience with dinosaurs in the park, and my children love it! Their playground was a nice to play and lovely view of Tilgate Park. Stall foods were there and ride as well. It is good and fun for the May half term bank holiday weekend. 🦕☀️😍

For every age groups there this park has a place for them . Whether you enjoy a dog walk or sit and view birds or ducks on the lake or play with kids . Cafe shops are good .

Massive grounds with something for everybody; lakeside and woodland walks, a zoo, children's play atea and a couple of cafes - we visited the walled garden cafe. The grounds are dog-friendly and there is plenty of space for families and picnics.

We stayed with family and they took us to this park. Beautiful park to visit and see. They had a dinosaur theme and fair, great for the kids. Definitely worth it if you’re in that area.

Wakehurst botanical garden is a great place to take your dog(s) for a walk. There are several routes you can choose from, we usually take the long round trip. There are some no dog zones but there is plenty to explore where you can take your dog. There is a big field which is an off lead area for doggies, full of smells to sniff. If you come without dogs, I recommend visiting the mansion, the water gardens and the wetland walk around the lake. We have been here in different seasons but there is always something to see or a different route to explore. Highly recommended. Great facilities as well, plenty of parking, toilets in different places and two cafes to choose from.

A stunning wild botanical garden. Really awe inspiring and thoughtfully planted. Fun for children and adults, my daughter enjoyed the mud kitchen and having fun amongst the trees. Cafe was quite expensive so will bear that in mind for our next visit. Plenty of spaces to have a picnic.

My daughter & I hadn't been to Wakehurst for quite a long time. I had forgotten just how beautiful it is here. We walked farther than usual and got to enjoy some of the most beautiful parts. Although be warned, when the map says it's a steep hill, it's truly steep 🤣 We certainly got out workout in!! The staff are lovely too, very helpful. It was reasonably busy for a Sunday but not overcrowded at all. We'll definitely return soon no doubt.

Great botanical garden with a variety of views. I would highly recommend visiting the Himalayan glade and pond. Do be aware that the blooms vary quite a lot between seasons, so you may not get to see the same as my images. Good restaurant with reasonable options and prices on site. Ice cream van with good selection too.

Wakehurst Mansion (also known as Wakehurst Place) is a beautiful historic estate. The mansion was built in 1590 by Sir Edward Culpeper. It showcases classic Elizabethan architecture, including a grand stone facade and mullioned windows. Wakehurst is managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. It’s sometimes called “Kew’s wild botanic garden” and is a hub for plant science and conservation. One of the most significant features is the Millennium Seed Bank, the world’s largest wild plant seed conservation project. It aims to bank seeds from 25% of the world’s flora. The estate has over 500 acres of diverse landscapes, including temperate woodlands, formal gardens, and ornamental lakes. During World War II, Wakehurst was used as a refuge and later served as a base for Canadian troops. Although Kew manages it, Wakehurst is owned by the National Trust, blending historic preservation with scientific innovation. Its scenic beauty and historic architecture have made it a filming location for various productions. We enjoyed our visit. Staff were all friendly and nice. We were told that refurbishment is ongoing, and the mansion will be accessible around August time. My only gripe is the parking fee. £8 for just under 3 hours isn't great value for National Trust members.

This sister to Kew Gardens is a fine place to spend a few hours wandering around the wooded estate and the attractive small mansion house. Notwithstanding the importance of the scientific and conservation carried out by the Millenium Seedbank, for many visitors the main attractions are the walking trails through the over 500 acre wooded countryside, featuring some of the world's most magnificent trees. These include a substantial number of the world's most massive tree, the giant Californian Redwood, which, despite their relative youth, have already ready reached an impressive 36 meters, and, not to be missed, are the weirdly drooping freaks of the same species. Children up to 16yoa have free entry, adults are £18.50 and young people are 50% of the adult rate. Car parking additional. Hot and cold food at the Stables Kitchen Restaurant and cafes. It is not cheap, but it is a great day out for the whole family.

The seed bank was very informative and high quality. Loved the walks along the trees, don't forget to do the Rocky walk. There are quite a few magnificent sequoiadendron towering above all the other trees. The smaller botanical gardens are really nice . But: the food is just not great. We had our quiche cold. The sweet and sour pork had perhaps 2 or 3 pieces of tasteless chewy pork in it, with some mushy broccoli on the side. Totally overpriced.

Gorgeous day at the Tulip Fest in April. Got there very early whilst it was quiet and we were shocked by how massive it was and how much there was to do! The tulips were gorgeous and so impressive. Great food and information everywhere, friendly staff and lots to do and see!

Amazing Autumn Atmosphere! This pumpkin farm offers an absolutely amazing experience that goes far beyond simple pumpkin picking. The overall environment is welcoming, festive, and truly captures the spirit of the season. What truly elevates this spot is the phenomenal attention to detail in the spooky decoration. It's clear a huge effort was made to create a fun, slightly eerie atmosphere, providing fantastic photo opportunities at every turn. From hay bales to haunted props, the decor makes this the ultimate autumnal destination. The selection of gourds was plentiful, and the staff were wonderful. Highly recommended for a memorable, festive, and wonderfully creepy fall It was amazing 👏 I like the environment and spooky decoration!

I went pumpkin picking, and it turned out to be the perfect autumn activity. The atmosphere was festive and full of Halloween spirit, making it a wonderful place to visit during the season. It was such a fun and memorable experience!

Amazing, incredible never disappointed brilliant atmosphere scenery and actors 100% there if your a big horror fan like me.😃 I go most years been at least 10 times over the years lost count lol. Mazes do change. Lots of choices of food and drink, fun fair, live bands never enough time goes really quick, Recommended good night out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Decided to relive my teenage nostalgia and return to Shocktober for the first time in seven years. Previously it was the place to go and made for a tremendous experience. This time round, it's sadly lost its touch. Massively oversold and overcrowded, it's clear profit is put before experience whereas it once was the other way round. Thankfully I’d purchased some fast track in advance as queue times were obscene. Even still, I had to queue for 10/15 mins in fast track lanes at times. Pros -Purgatory was quality and my favourite of all time. "Free Roaming" actors like the Skinfluencers were very funny and entertaining. Set design was absolutely fantastic as always. Cons - Far too many people allowed into haunts at a time/with too little time between groups. You'd either be caught up by the group behind or catchup the one infront. This KILLED the immersion and enjoyment massively. The flouting of their own rules was not enforced? There are clear rules that say no smoking/vaping, no face masks etc yet I saw people lighting up in the queues and a fair few road men in their finest bin bag attire (to impress their underage girlfriend) walking round ballied up like they've just robbed a bank. I know it's close proximity to Crawley but come on now... Better still was “security” where only those with a bag would be searched. If you hadn’t a bag, you were free to walk in with whatever you fancied! Knife? Acid in a lucozade bottle? Drugs? Must be part of your costume eh lad. Maybe that’s a critique due to my line of work but it did feel a bit pointless. All in all a shadow of its former self. I still had fun however and glad I returned, but think this'll be the last trip full stop. Kudos to the actors and event staff, they all work hard and probably for minimum wage. Sadly I don’t think the experience will be salvageable unless they actually cap ticket numbers drastically.

We had such a fantastic afternoon at Tulleys Farm. From the beautiful fall decor, the very large pumpkin patch, the roaming singers and cast in costume to the marshmellow roast stations (or smores station as they sell a kit too), pumpkin spice latte and ferris wheel we could only have a great time. We got to pick our own pumpkins straight from the patch and carry them in a wheelbarrow made available by the team who was nothing but welcoming. Can't carry big pumpkins home ? Fear not their collection of pumpkin plush toys will definitely call your name. If coming from London, you can either take the bus or more easily take a taxi as there are some available there just waiting to get you home safe. We will definitely make it a yearly tradition !

We had a pretty frickin awesome night!! The place is huge and the scare mazes are wicked.. such an adrenaline rush.. the people that perform are amazing 👏🏼 can't get over some of the scares, still buzzing from it all. The food courts are good, lots to choose from and lots of different drinks and sweet treats 😋 wait times were long and you couldn't get round the whole lot in 1 night thats for sure. But all in all we had a great night!! Will definitely be going back!!

Great event - shame was spoiled by the weather but thats the UK for you. Thats the 3rd and final big event I've been to this year Cheltenham and aintree being the other 2. The difference being on the hill is free entry that nobody knows about

Another great days racing at Epsom Downs, Derby day always a great meeting and some fantastic winners. Tickets purchased well In advance but for some reason not posted out, we had to collect on arrival which is never great when you have a disabled member in the party. We booked the Views restaurant, plenty of space and great service from the waitresses, drinks flowing all day. Food was interesting, sampler menu and then lamb main course, unfortunately the main wasn’t hot, warm at best, afternoon tea was plentiful and the cakes full of flavours.

Having grown up here, it has long held a significant space in my heart. It is honestly such a beautiful and peaceful place outside of race weekends... often with people exercising their horse along the gallops. Perfect spot for a walk, a picnic, or even just having some time to think.

The perfect location to view and savour the setting 🌅sun all year round, whilst enjoying 😊 the panoramic views of the North Downs along with increasing the ‘step tally’ on the iPhone Health App! lol. This is indeed a treasured location and 1️⃣ to be enjoyed, especially 1️⃣0️⃣ to 1️⃣5️⃣ minutes leading up to sunset 🌅

What a beautiful spot! Whilst the house is lovely, and the William Morris design great to see, the focus here really is the gardens and surrounding land. So calm and peaceful, the perfect spot to be on a sunny day. The staff were so friendly too! Even finding a treat and offering water to our dog - dogs are allowed in the gardens, except for the kitchen one, and a separate indoor area to the main cafe - which offered great food at relatively reasonable prices too.

Decided to visit on a very warm Sunday Morning, arrived at 10am and already plenty of people arriving, Decided to just look around the gardens and ground as weather so good. Walk through the woods seeing the bluebells, then walk around around the gardens, views were amazing, The cafe was lovely with outside tables, gets busy especially around lunch time. Book shop was good and found a few books to buy. definitely a great place to visit especially if weather great.

Nestled in the rolling hills of West Sussex, Standen House and Garden is a celebration of the Arts and Crafts movement. Designed by architect Philip Webb between 1892 and 1894 for the Beale family, this Grade I listed home is a living showcase of William Morris’s nature-inspired designs. Every room is adorned with his wallpapers, textiles, and furnishings, immersing visitors in the rich aesthetic of the era. There are also rabbit toys hidden throughout the house to keep the younger visitors interested in trying to find them all. The surrounding 12-acre garden, lovingly restored to Margaret Beale’s original vision, offers a tapestry of seasonal delights. In spring, highlights include the vibrant rhododendrons, camellias, and azaleas. The gardens are beautifully maintained. Beyond the formal gardens, there are over 100 acres of estate to be explored including ancient bluebell woods and meadows, Standen offers a harmonious blend of art, nature, and history, providing an enriching experience for all who visit and I will definitely be returning again and again.

A fantastic place to explore with a National Trust membership! Standen is full of charm, with beautiful Arts and Crafts interiors and stunning gardens. The house is so well preserved, and the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. A peaceful, inspiring day out — highly recommend!

I've been there a couple of times, both with great weather, it is a beautiful house with beautiful gardens and a lovely café to enjoy a drink and relax. Even the drive there was very beautiful, through villages, fields and some tree tunnels. Totally recommended for a relaxing day out with friends or family

Last NT house visited on any busy 5 day trip! Pleasantly surprised with the house and gardens ! One of the smallest house and grounds we have visited but very interesting and a great veg patch to check out!

Standen House is a beautiful blend of Arts and Crafts styling with gorgeous, functional gardens. The property is well maintained and hasa knowledgable crew of docents.

One of the best days out I've had with my two sons aged 2 and 5. Seeing the native wildlife up close and hearing the regular keeper talks about the animals the time just flew away. A relaxed and intimate small site, we will be back soon!

As someone who normally shoots weddings and portraits, I was very new to wildlife photography – but this course was absolutely brilliant. The day was exceptionally well run, and the venue being closed to the public made it feel really special and intimate. All the staff were friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the work they do to protect and care for the animals. A huge thank you to our keeper and guide, Jess – she was simply outstanding. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and clear love for the animals made the day even more enjoyable. While the focus of the day was very much on the animals (which was fantastic), there were plenty of opportunities to get some amazing shots. The course was well suited to all skill levels and types of equipment – in our group we had everything from iPhones to full-frame mirrorless setups with big zooms. The café had some great options too, and there was no shortage of tea and coffee throughout the day. All in all, I left with some great photos and an even greater appreciation for British wildlife. Highly recommended – both the Centre itself and the photography experience. Thank you again to Jess and all the team!

Really lovely place to visit. So much to see and really well cared for, especially with the space and natural habitats. Lots of places to sit and just watch them. Very accessible path ways. It was on the pricey side for entry but I can see why. The animal talks were really good and lots of information. My only gripe was the toilets weren't clean. Especially the baby changing table was "filthy". We didn't use the cafe as the coffee machine was off so can't comment on that part. The gift shop was well stocked. Definitely visit again next year.

Great little place to go. Inherently a lot of the animals were asleep but it was quite hot. They have tons of tunnels that go all around the place that you can see the animals in, and great interesting enclosures. First time ever seeing red squirrels and they have so much personality???? They were hanging out with the muntjac

Lovely relaxed visit. All the talks were informative and friendly. Great venue encouraging visitors to be familiar with the animals and so be more aware of human actions that can damage them.

Spent the best part of 5 hours at the Centre for the concessionary price of £14.50. Although initially we wondered about the value as most of the pens seemed devoid of life, we cottoned on to the half-hourly keeper talks programme where the animals were enticed out of their hidey holes on the promise of tidbits. From thence on, our visit became one that proved of immense value. The keepers were obviously caring and committed individuals, reflected in the demeanor of the animals. So very patient and obliging of both keepers and animals to spectators ... especially children and photographers. Thank you

It was a brilliant few hours out together as a family. We all enjoyed the animal talks and the gift shop at the end! Staff were nice and friendly.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Visited in 2017 with my grandmother and brother and only found these photos recently. The exhibits covered a great range of topics and were well laid out. The architecture of the building itself was a pleasure to look at and the main entrance was phenomenal to experience as you enter and pass beneath the skeleton of a blue whale. The section on minerals and gemstones was a surprising favourite right behind the dinosaur related exhibits throughout the museum. I would happily visit again if I’m in London and would highly recommend to others if they’re in any way interested.

The museum is well-maintained and full of interesting collections. Natural History Museum in London and was truly impressed. The building itself is stunning with its grand architecture and detailed interior. The dinosaur and gemstone exhibits were fascinating and well-organized. I especially enjoyed the interactive sections that make learning fun for both kids and adults. Spending few hours here may not enough. I recommend booking paid tickets for elderly visitors.

Always love going to museums where ever I go to take in the local perspective. It is free entry with donation recommended, which is easy once you see what this place has to offer. This would have been one of the larger sites I have visited in my travels. It has a large variety of collections spanning several floors. I really enjoyed most of the galleries I saw, with their interactive displays that complement the static representations. We literally spent all afternoon their until close and still didn't get a chance to see the whole building. Missing out on the Darwin, and some of the green sector. From what we did see the rest of the place would be just as amazing. Since it's free entry it can definitely be a 2 day walk about. The place is large and requires a bit of sauntering. There are lots of benches and presentations that you can sit while you watch. Which is nice for those who have mobility challenges. Overall, a great visit but if you really like to hit every inch, it's a whole day visit so keep that in mind.

There is so much to see and do so plan a full day for the museum If you’re into dinosaurs they have a wonderful exhibit or you can just enjoy the magnificent building that houses the museum Learn about the Earth the wonders that produces in all the stones and rocks or travel through and learn about tides to volcanoes And don’t forget to visit the area where you can learn about the DNA structure and how the team behind the scenes are working to match the DNA, eradicate disease or just carry out the research needed to ensure that no more species go extinct There is something for everyone young and old . And after all the exploring and learning stop at one of the multiple coffee shops or restaurants throughout the museum space and grab something to eat and drink . There are options to meet any eaters requirements Entrance to the museum is free but pre-book your ticket online before you go to avoid standing in long queues.

Visited during October half term, 2 adults, 2 children. Definitely worth booking in advance, ques outside were long! The building itself was incredible inside and out. The exhibits were fantastic with so much to see and do, The kids really enjoyed the day. Only negative was being very busy, (probably due to being half term). Without doubt though its worth a visit, amazing day out.

The Natural History Museum in London is absolutely magnificent! The building itself is grand and awe-inspiring, and the exhibits are fantastic from the huge range of animals and dinosaur skeletons to the stunning collection of crystals and gemstones. It’s a place where you can spend hours exploring and still discover something new. Perfect for kids and families, with plenty of interactive displays that make learning fun. A must-visit landmark in London!

For a free entry this museum was absolutely incredible. A very wide variety of exhibits from a multitude of scientific fields. Definitely take your time and explore the entire building. Enjoyed looking at all the different animal exhibits. The dinosaur section of the museum was very fascinating to go through 🦖. I also enjoyed the geological sections. It really does seem that the museum is promoting education at no price! 👨‍🔬 A must visit if you're in the area.

I recently visited the V&A with a friend to see the Cartier Exhibition. It was great, even though it was a bit crowded, which meant no hanging about. However, there were opportunities to return to an exhibit if you wished. I visited on a lovely autumn afternoon and the colourful trees outside added to my enjoyment. There's also a beautiful cafe for a wide selection of food and drinks. It's one of my favourite museums to visit as they put on great exhibitions on a wide variety of subjects. I recommend it highly as a wonderful place to visit anytime.

Visited the Cartier exhibition. Well worth it. It was bigger than expected, with a wide range of jewellery, clocks, etc. The items were well presented, showing off the beauty of the jewels in the light. The items dated from the early 20th Century to the present day, which was interesting to see. Also many items are linked to famous people. We spent about 2 and a half hours in the exhibition, then looked at other exhibits in the museum. A great day out!

An exceptional museum in London. A must. I became a member and well worth the investement. The Cartier exhibit was absolutely exception, I saw it three times. The Marie Antoniette exhibit was another I enjoyed. How Marie Antionette continues to influence fashion today. The section on South East Asia have pieces from the Great Exhibit which are a history through fabric, jewellery with influences from invaders, colonialism and fashion of the time. Even French fashionwas influenced by the famous pashmina Kashmiri shawls still worn today.Dupattas have not changed October 31st Friday the museum stayed open till 22h00. With a great party atmosphere We could visit certain exhibits till then. Enjoy a drink in the foyer with a DJ. It was electric. Staff were kind, helpful

I have visited this museum a handful of times and each time I discover a new corner with interesting artifacts and art. It is a large eclectic mix of objects and collections in a giant Victorian style building from antique playing cards (pictured) to old Dutch portraits (pictured). The cafe (also pictured) is excellent and the special exhibits are top notch. I saw the Marie Antoinette special exhibit (fans and book photos) and it was well curated. They even had the Guillotine she allegedly met her end by. I highly recommend this museum if you have a few hours to spend in west London.

The V&A is well worth a visit. The collections are so varied that there really is something to interest almost everyone. The special exhibit I saw was also well worth paying the extra to see it. The glass exhibit on the top floor was very interesting. You might miss it if you spend all your time on the lower floors. The photos are from 2023.

A Truly Remarkable Day! I simply can't recommend the membership strongly enough! My visit to the Marie Antoinette exhibition today was truly remarkable. Not only was the collection breathtaking, but the staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the day. My daughter and I wore period-style Marie Antoinette costumes, and it was lovely to feel welcomed and celebrated. Every single person we encountered was charming and pleasant. What a fantastic museum experience!

Interesting to be and see inside this storied place. The State Rooms are interesting and the chance to see the royal art collection is a real treat. I also enjoyed the special exhibition of art produced on the King Charles’s travel over the years as well as the throne room. It’s crowded but manageable. I also visited the mews with the carriages and would recommend. My disappointment was the limited access to the garden. The website lists the Royal Gardens as one of the highlights and includes pictures of the rose garden and other select spots. Once on-site I learned that much of the garden, including the roses I hoped to see, is off-limits unless you book a special tour, which were all booked. This is not made clear on the website when booking. Also note that the amount of time they indicate for the palace tour is far too long unless you’re planning to eat in the cafe and do a lot of shopping in the gift shop. I listened to the entire tour and spent time in all of the rooms and it took me 45 minutes or so—they indicate 2 to 2.5 hours. This can be an issue if you are booking multiple timed elements at the palace or tickets elsewhere.

We purchased guided tour tickets to include the changing of the guards. What we failed to understand was the meeting point is not actually at Buckingham Palace, rather about a mile down the road at the equestrian statue. The tickets were expensive since we did opted for a guided tour however the guided tour does not take you inside the palace. I have to say overall I was a bit let down by the tour I expected more for some reason. Don't get me wrong you get to see beautiful marble statues and works of art that are one of a kind and you're only going to see there and you get to see a very small section of the palace. The section you get to see is where they do most of the hosting for guests. It's a must-see, I'm not so sure paying extra for a guided tour was worth it as once you get inside your guide leaves you and you can take the free guided audio tour to go through the rooms. The palace was absolutely packed during a random weekday and I would definitely recommend pre-buying your tickets. There is a small Cafe outside at the end of your tour and a large garden that you can get a free tour as well. Located right in the center of London, when you come out it pops you right back out in the streets so be prepared to walk. Just like all the other palaces and castles I visited you cannot take pictures or video once inside.

Tickets are not necessary for the changing of the guard. But I recommend standing on the fountain if you cannot get near the fence. You will need tickets for the States room tour. It's well worth with it.

Highly recommend the palace tour as the palace is quite stunning on the inside. Do buy the tickets in advance and show up right in time for your entry because there’s no wait then! The gift shop also has some quality souvenirs so I highly recommend it. Also, the palace gardens were my favourite gardens in London ✨✨✨✨

The palace is absolutely beautiful inside, but no photography. We really enjoyed our visit there. It's is a good bit of walking around but benches to rest on. There is a 20 minutes walk one you get outside to get back out to the main street but once again plenty of benches to rest.

Buckingham Palace Park is beautiful for a walk and to relax. Lovely green areas, well maintained, and a great spot for photos. It can get busy with tourists, but definitely worth a visit!

Visited during the changing of the guard I really didn’t know what I was in for. The crowds and fences were ridiculous and the event was not that impressive to me. I could’ve skipped it and been fine. Because of the event I really didn’t get to see the palace exterior and gates very well due to large crowds and barricades. Unless the changing of the guard is a bucket list thing you really want to see I would recommend not going during that event if you’re wanting to get a good view of the palace.

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield. The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better. As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

As a visitor, you can’t ask for a better system to get about to major museums, etc. You get to ride with both the working class and executives alike. Iconic London ! Takes a little getting used to, if you need to travel in the City, it’s the way to go. As a visitor, we purchased a Visitor Oyster Card online, it’s a fantastic deal. Recommended.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

These shops are all closed for good. I could rattle on about the good old days, (people actually pay to hear about it) and a book would be better; it would take a book, pdf, file, whatever to explain how much it has changed. Point? Many but the main one is: Thanks to Bid Rigging the same people keep getting rich fulfilling contracts that do nothing but cosmetic change. I'd rather see the old retailers (driven out by sky high rent, business taxes, business rates that the the big corporate retailers. Btw/ if you come to London be prepared to lug your suitcase up and down many flights of stairs. Of course the bureaucracy will point to "no step access" (only lawsuits by disabled brought that in) and there are more lifts (elevators), yes this is better than nothing - - lucky find one lift 20 years ago. The old, dirty, extremely noisy rolling stock in Central London is the same. Recently you could still find "MetroCamell" 1973. John Lennon probably on one. Sure, they Spent £16 Billion over budget and late) on a new Elizabeth Line. It's a nice reflection on what we have - - tourists are in central London for the sights, not off to Abby Wood (the other one) and to have them riding the clittering, clanking, clattering collection of caligenous junk - - (think Wizard of Oz to the Tin Man) is a disgrace.

Coming from Manchester we need this in the city.... Yes its a bit dim, dark and dirty.... But what a brilliant, cheap and quick way to get around....

Had a good time with family, spent around 2hrs at the venue.kudos to the entire team for excellent crowd control. Around 80% of the wax statue look stunning and fantastic, rest felt like a dummy one. The special attraction was "Spirit of London" ride, which is a themed taxi ride through the city's history, and not a conventional train ride. The ride uses iconic black cabs to take visitors on a 5-minute journey through London's history and cultural events which also includes wax figures, immersive exhibits, and a 4D cinema.

Had a great time! There’s quite a collection to explore, with some truly fascinating stories, science section and even a few spooky horror rooms. The organisation and presentation were excellent, and the cable ride through centuries of history was absolutely epic! I didn’t see many staff around, but I didn’t really need any help. Overall, I had an amazing time and would highly recommend it!

I had an amazing experience at the Madame Tuassads London. I have already been to other places but this one was different. In addition to various wax statues there was a ride which was very beautiful. Also there was 3D show which was star of the whole lot. Would highly recommend even if you have visited other wax museums. Its clean and wait time is not much.

I have visited the Gallery several times over the years and I'm still as impressed today as I was on my first visit. There is something for everyone and there are many very beautiful pieces of art. Rembrandt, Turner, Gainsborough,Titian,Holbein,van Dyke, Monet, Van Gogh, Rubens, the list is endless and very impressive. There is no entrance fee, there are cafes, restrooms, cloakrooms and lots and lots to see. Give yourself plenty of time to make the most of your visit.

The National Gallery, a one place to see history through paintings. As usual this gallery is free for entery and quite big so plan ahead. You can book free online ticket or walkin. Tube connectivity is there. Plan to enjoy and take photos from outside squar also. There is a paid washroom available outside. You get chance to see a lot of historical paintings and know about the artist. Due to limited time I was not able to complete it. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water if possible.

National Gallery never fails to impress. We thoroughly enjoyed the recent Neo-Impressionist exhibition, which was beautifully curated. The members' area is a real highlight – it's a peaceful space where you can sit and relax away from the crowds, and they serve lovely coffee. It's the perfect spot to take a break and process what you've seen before heading back into the galleries.

National gallery is must visit place at City of London, it is at Trafalgar Square at collection of masterpieces, including famous paintings and portraits. It offers free entry. It highlight the well-curated exhibitions, the helpful audio guide, and the peaceful atmosphere. Staffs are knowledgeable and friendly. But I think security must be increased because the collection of master pieces should be protected because these are real national assets.

Really believe me that was great, views are stunning and fantastic.. we both really enjoyed, you can see entire London 360 view with all the landmarks like, BIG BEN, Aerial view THAMES RIVER, BRIDGES AND CRUISES, SHAD TOWER, TOWER BRIDGE and many more.. Views are worth than ticket price for a lifetime for a one time; if possible reducing ticket rate is great for travelers but it has great demand and long que always. Managing staff and sequrity are very good. In overall great experience you must try if you come to London, UK❤️❤️

The London Eye is an interesting experience that I was glad that I went on, but I am not sure if I would recommend. It offers great views of the city but I understand that The Shard and Sky Garden also can do this. Heck, the coffee shop at Tate Modern also has great views and it is free to go up. We had booked a time and were waiting for our slot, when we arrived 15 minutes early to join an extremely long queue. I was very surprised how quickly the line went and we actually boarded the ride at our allocated time. I suspect if we arrived early (within reason), we could have got on sooner rather than waiting around. Getting on and off was easy, even though the ride didn't stop. The entire trip lasted about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. Obviously the views were great, but I `think that I would have spent less time if I had gone up the Shard or Sky Garden, as the ride seemed to trudge along. The are definitely opportunities to get discounted tickets: book online or in the visitor centre or with the London Pass. Since the line went quick, I wouldn't pay extra for a fast path.

Absolutely fabulous collection of stuff from across the world! Good enough options for food, well laid out. Largely accessible. We went on a Tuesday and didn’t have any issues getting in without the prebooked tickets. The museum was busy though. So if you’re visiting during the tourist season or even weekends I suppose, getting tickets (they’re free but get you a faster entry) will be helpful.

I have visited many times over the years and the museum always impresses. The exhibits are world class and everything is labelled with an explanation-discription so you know what everything is, where it's from, how old etc. There were several schools visiting including overseas school children which was nice to see. My favourite area (and it would seem many other people's favourite) are the Egyptian artifacts. There are many areas to explore and if possible give yourself lots of time. If you don't have very much time to visit then plan ahead and maybe decide what you would like to see first. You could actually spend all day there if you wanted to. A stunning place and definitely worth a visit.

Very nice museum with incredible amounts of very well preserved historical artifacts and objects. The only downside was the ridiculous amount of people visiting, but this is to be expected when entry is free (which is great and makes a visit absolutely worth it). There are also free guided tours of many of the exhibitions by very knowledgeable guides at set times throughout the day. The building itself also has very beautiful architecture.

It’s free to visit; however, when you think about all the pieces taken away from their motherlands, it does feel a bit bittersweet. :) Make sure to book your tickets in advance — it gets busy! The ambiance will truly astonish you the moment you step inside.

The British Museum is truly timeless. It was my fourth visit, yet it still felt magical. My kids loved the Egyptian mummies — their excitement was contagious! As a Chinese visitor, I felt proud yet emotional seeing so many treasures from my homeland. The collections are stunning, though the crowds can be intense. Entry is free, but booking online helps you get in faster. This museum isn’t just about history — it’s about humanity, memory, and reflection. A must-visit for anyone coming to London.

The British Museum is full of fascinating history and culture to explore. You could easily spend the whole day here and still not see everything! I only had 2–3 hours to visit this time, but it was such an incredible experience. I’ll definitely be coming back again to explore more

If you are interested in aircraft, a visit to this museum is a must. Great exhibits, well displayed, friendly and helpful volunteers on hand to give you information. Three complete Mosquitoes on display, including the prototype. Plus many other types of aircraft, some of which you can enter. This is where the Mosquito was designed, and the prototype aircraft was built. A great museum!

Absolutely superb day out for myself and a few chums, as it’s centrally located to meet up. Wonderfully atmosphere here, with such knowledgeable staff, who have enthusiasm which is infectious. There’s so much here, I’ve visited a few times, and seen more on each visit. Excellent little cafe too, for a halftime snack. We were given a guided tour, which was excellent value, very comprehensive and enjoyable.

A fabulous museum and so well worth a visit. The friendliest, approachable and knowledgeable volunteers make all the difference. Quite different to the vast RAF museum down the road. The exhibits are cared for and the restoration work carried out is brilliant. The aircraft on display are superb, particularly the three Mosquitos. It’s also a pleasure to just wander around outside walking through planes like the Comet, the Dove and the 146 and after all of this to sit and joy the delights on offer in the cafe. A highly recommended visit for all aircraft/history/and all things aircraft related.

A real jewel of a museum located on the outskirts of London. It’s full of history, with fascinating navigation and communication gadgets. They have the original Mosquito prototype, wooden fuel tanks, communications and navigation artifacts, a fuselage from the famous Comet—and even the piece that failed. I learned so much during this visit (and I thought I knew it all!). The staff at the museum are extremely friendly and eager to guide you and share countless stories about De Havilland aircraft. Many are former workers from the factory. I highly recommend it for any aviation enthusiast.

Fantastic museum with many amazing exhibits, aeroplanes, interactive activities and even a working Merlin engine! Wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff, lots for all ages to enjoy, plenty of aircraft to sit in and explore and a great gift shop and cafe. Visited with X4 boys ranging 9 to 18 and they all loved it. "Treasure hunt" style quiz available for kids and a great second hand book selection. Would recommend!

We had such a lovely day at Willows Activity Farm. The kids absolutely loved it — from feeding the animals to bouncing on the giant pillows and running around the Peter Rabbit play areas. There’s just so much for them to do, both indoors and outdoors, that we ended up staying most of the day without even realizing how fast it went by. Everything felt clean, safe, and well-kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fine (a bit pricey, as expected at these places), but it didn’t really matter because the kids were having the best time. It’s clear that the place was designed with families in mind — it’s easy to get around with a stroller, there are plenty of toilets and shaded spots, and you never feel rushed. Perfect for young kids who love to explore and play. We’ll definitely be coming back — it’s one of those rare spots where the whole family leaves happy and tired in the best way.

We visited Willows Farm on a Sunday for the Pumpkin Festival, and it was a lovely family day out! The pumpkin patch was beautiful with lots of photo spots, and there was even a pumpkin carving area. Our daughter loved the pumpkin hunt around the farm and was thrilled with her little prize at the end. There’s so much for kids to do — bouncy castle, Peter Rabbit shows, tractor rides, feeding the animals, playgrounds, mini golf, and rides. You can easily spend the whole day there. The only downside for us was the food. We tried one of the food trucks near the pumpkin patch, but it was disappointing and overpriced. The buns were cold, and the burgers tasted like they’d been pre-cooked. We also skipped the hot chocolate after someone in front of us returned theirs. We then went to the indoor canteen, but it was very busy with long queues and packed seating, so we couldn’t get a meal there either. It was a cold day, so a nice warm lunch would’ve made the day even better. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and loved all the activities, but the food options really let it down. We’d happily come again for the fun, but next time we’ll definitely bring our own food!

UNWELCOMING PLACE IF THERE WAS 0 stars I would give. Discriminatary behaviour was demonstrated towards us by staff. Unwelcoming. No understanding towards children. My son who was over 90cm was denied access to areas that he was actually eligible for. Do not waste your money here. Also on weekdays majority areas are shut with one staff working and the shows do not run. I forgot to take photos on the day due to stress caused but attached photos of some closed attractions including “adventure playground” “carasouls” and “playground slides”

Grandparent’s paradise - a full day of entertainment for under 9’s. Great attraction good parking, well organised with really nice staff. If it’s dry there’s lots to do. Not so great in the wet. Indoor play area and soft play is a bit tired but the kids still love it. Toilets everywhere and good quality play equipment/bouncy castles. What’s not to like?

We recently spent a memorable day at Willows Activity Farm, and it truly exceeded our expectations! Visiting with two other families with children around 3.5 years old, we all had a fantastic time exploring the farm, especially with the added Halloween decorations and pumpkin patches for the season. Lucky for us, we enjoyed a sunny day—quite a treat for October in England—which made the visit even more enjoyable. Willows Activity Farm is packed with a variety of activities that kept the kids entertained from start to finish. 1.Animal Feeding: The kids were delighted to feed and interact with the farm animals, including goats and sheep. Feed is available to purchase, adding a fun hands-on experience for little ones eager to get close to the animals. 2.Piglet Race: This was one of the biggest hits! The kids loved watching the adorable piglets race around a small track, and the cheering made it all the more exciting. 3.Cow Milking Show: The cow-milking demonstration offers a great mix of entertainment and education, allowing kids to see where milk comes from. The setup is both informative and engaging for young children, making it a lovely learning experience. 4.Tractor Ride: A classic part of any farm visit, the tractor ride was a major highlight for the kids. It took us on a scenic loop around the farm, with plenty of interesting sights along the way. 5. Thoroughly enjoyed talking the self guided tour. The glass floor gives a unique view of the Thames, but can be slightly unnerving. The engine room has the two steam engines, used to power the bascules, on display. Over all, it's very good venue for money.

One of the most important attractions in this wonderful city! Especially, if you visit it at night is way more beautiful! This bridge brings its own unique touch of beauty in London! You have to visit it with no hesitation! 🌉✨

Tower Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in London and visiting it was a fantastic experience. The views from the bridge are stunning, both of the Thames and the city. Taking the Tower Bridge Exhibition tour made the visit even better, as it gave detailed insights into how the bridge was built and the fascinating mechanism behind its operation. Walking across the glass floor was a unique highlight too, giving a completely different perspective of the bridge and the river below. The site is very well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing to keep in mind is that you may need to wait in a queue for entry, and on a sunny day this can feel a bit frustrating. Still, it’s not just a landmark to admire from outside, but also an educational and memorable experience to explore from within. Definitely worth visiting.

The location is very beautiful and one of the most iconic landmark of London. You can reach here easily by Underground metro. From Big Ben Tower also it is well reachable here by foot.

Walking near Tower Bridge is honestly one of the nicest things to do in London, especially if you’re trying to escape the busy streets without leaving the city. The view is unreal – you’ve got the bridge itself, which looks straight out of a postcard, the river Thames calmly flowing, and plenty of spots to just sit and chill. There’s something peaceful about hearing the water and watching the boats go by, even when there are tourists around. At sunset, the whole area lights up in warm colours and it feels kinda magical. It’s also surprisingly clean and safe, even in the evening. Loads of nice little cafes and street food stalls around if you fancy a bite, and the walk towards the south bank or down to St Katharine Docks is worth it too. You get a mix of old-school charm and modern city vibes. Would definitely recommend it for a date, a solo unwind walk, or just to take some beautiful photos. 10/10 – calming, scenic, and very London.

The Tower Bridge is a great stop if you're in the nearby area, and provides about 30min to 1 hour diversion. Combined with the free audio tour, great views complete with partial glass floor in one section, historic awe of the building process, and gift shop at the end - I would highly recommend if you're in the area. There are lifts for the tower, but I suggest/recommend you take the stairs getting some insight, facts and touch of history on the way up and down. There are benches to rest, toilets but no Air Con for most of it, however fans throughout provide plenty of relief - 84 degrees and it never felt sweltering inside. Learn how the bridge was designed, constructed and changes over the years - in particular the engine room videos and presentation on divers were really great. And whenever you're done walk along the Thames River path near the wharf and grab a bite to eat.

Wonderful experience. We travelled to Waterloo by train and hopped on boat to London Bridge for the Tower which was easy and entertaining. The Tower was fascinating, such history. The poppy installation was fantastic. A really good day.....but you need comfy walking shoes!

Very expensive for little content. The buildings are beautiful but it’s not worth nearly 32£. The jewel gallery was nice but we did it in 5mn. Best advice is to take pictures from outside and not go in.

Beautiful place with a lot to see. 8 Ravens on site. You can get close to they but they are wild and will bite. Crown Jewels, armory collection, church and more. It was not always a prison, and not just a tower. You can easily spend all day here.

Enjoyed all the history The Ravens were alot bigger than I imagined. The crown Jewels were amazing and loads of gold pieces of various objects the punch bowl was massive. All the beefeaters were friendly and helpful.

You could spend a day exploring or breeze in and out in two on a quiet day. Crown Jewels were gorgeous. Walking throughbthe verybdark vaults added to the intrigue. No photos permitted. The tower was very fun if you like armour and military weapons. Lots of steps up and a turret spiral staircase to exit. I would have prefered to see recreations of how the home was setup. Lunch at the cafe was meh, but after all you are a captive audiance!

Absolutely a wonderful time. As a tourist from the US, I cannot believe the amount of history in one place. You could spend an entire vacation at this site alone. Seeing highlights from the coronation amd seeing them in real life was fantastic. The displays in the White Tower were worth it alone

Spend about 3 hours here and could have easily spend more if we hadn’t gotten too tired. So much to see and explore. Really enjoyed this and would come back. Worth the price of admission

What a wonderful place this is your visit, especially if you're a history lover or architecture enthusiast! I absolutely adored the rambling Gardens with a choice of different length walks, the cafe was very relaxed with a range of food and drinks but the highlight for me was the incredible tour of the old Elizabethan building by very knowledgeable and friendly Dermot! What a pleasure it was to enjoy such an in depth and interesting talk by such an experienced gentleman. We would definitely visit again!!

Visited the gardens only. Some of the most beautifully curated public gardens in SE England. Very lucky to be able to visit the East Garden which is only open to the public on certain Wednesdays. Some nice woodland walks as well although I would have to say that these aren't fantastically signposted.

It was very lovely place to visit. Free parking and only short walk to the house and gardens. Very brilliant, smiley and pleasant people work there, it was not a problem for them to help us use the lift a few times,so thank you.! It makes the visit so much easier and nicer. It's not easy to get around everywhere if you have a buggy or especially the walker.. Very recommend this place to visit!

What a gorgeous hidden gem just north of London crammed full of history. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides in each room. Check out their website as they put on ‘festival’ type events. The grounds are well kept. Only downside for me was you have to pay extra to go into the palace (£8 I believe). The ‘marmite’ fountain at the back of the house is interesting. I loved it. I will definitely be back.

I don't even know where to start to describe this fantastic place! We spent about five hours there and loved every single minute of it. There is just so much to see! We first visited the Gardens, which are stunning. Then we spontaneously opted for a guided tour of the Old Palace, which absolutely blew us away. I must admit that when we had decided to visit Hatfield House, we weren't even aware of the Old Palace and its significant history, so it felt like an extra bonus. Our guide was not only very knowledgeable, but also extremely engaging - a pure joy to listen to and get lost in the stories from days gone by. And then the house itself, which is absolutely marvellous in every respect. The staff in each of the rooms were genuinely eager to tell their story and engage with the visitors, so we were able to have long chats, which we thoroughly enjoyed! A long walk to the Oak Tree and back completed our visit, which exceeded our expectations by far. It didn't go unnoticed that unlike most historic houses in Britain, the gift shop was mostly stocked with local produce, rather than the usual souvenirs. But although we couldn't find anything to buy, we didn't even mind that. I got the feeling that despite all its fascinating history and splendour, Hatfield House doesn't seem nearly as commercialised as many similar places (we were surprised about the small number of visitors in the middle of summer), and that would actually seem a good thing. As a result, our visit had a very intimate touch, and we felt individually valued, rather than being a part of big masses of tourists passing through. Our visit turned out to be the highlight of our 10-day holiday in the UK!

Huge gardens & park with multiple routes for avid walkers / dog walking & a fantastic set up for a lovely morning / family day out. Easy parking, we visited their shops and cafe in their entry area, headed to the loo, got ice cream and made our way around their grounds in a beautiful sunny day! Might feel expensive for a walk but a worthy day out for family / friends and a great adventure location with food, facilities, and beautiful nature! Head here for a great day out when the sun is up!

You can feel the history at Hatfield house. You have the spectacular house, built by Robert Cecil, along with the old palace, where Elizabeth 1st and Edward would have been bought up. You can almost imagine them playing in the wonderful West Gardens as you walk around. The staff are full of information and love to share their wealth of knowledge, just ask. After the house, we went for a walk through the woods, down to the picturesque river. My mother is in a wheelchair, but we had no problems getting around. Everywhere is accessible. Just be prepared for some inclines in the woodland walks.

Lee Valley White Water Centre is an absolutely fantastic destination for water adventure lovers! We went for white water rafting, and the experience was thrilling from start to finish. The staff are well-trained, friendly, and make sure everyone stays safe while having fun. They also offer great membership options for regular users – perfect if you’re planning to go often. We noticed some excellent offers for families and friends, making it more affordable to enjoy as a group. It’s also a brilliant place to celebrate birthday parties, especially for teens or adults who love an adrenaline rush. The facilities are clean, well-organised, and there’s even a nice café on-site for relaxing after your adventure. Highly recommended for a fun-filled and energetic day out! 💦🚣‍♂️

Jordan was great. Parking easy. Open gendered changing rooms with showers. Also had a mirror and hairdryer which was nice. Lockers were easy to use. Had a group of 9 for the whole raft, unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you see it, one person at the helm doesn’t paddle. This position can rotate between within your group, which might be a good thing, so you can take a break because this was a tiring activity for sure. Great fun though!

This sports venue is truly delightful. It’s such a pleasure to watch the determination of those battling the powerful water and waves, whether in team boats or individual kayaks. I genuinely enjoy the atmosphere here, and I try to visit once or twice a week. The café adds to the charm—coffee on cold days and beer on warm ones. Altogether, it’s an outstanding place with an incredible vibe

Fantastic place to practice your open water and white water rafting skills there is an equipment hire area on site so you dont need to bring your own gear, ample parking the largest car park is just 100 yards from the entrance. Staff are super friendly, there is a cafe on site too with inside or outside (on balcony) seating. The road leading to the place is only a normal 30 mph road and it gets busy quickly so try and give yourself plenty of time to get there.

I went white water rafting with 7 mates for a birthday. An excellent experience, we loved it. Ask for Sean as your instructor he made it a 5/5 experience. We did 6 runs on the Olympic course and Sean upped the ante each time. Would highly recommend it!

The road to the zoo is a bit narrow and winding, and driving with the steering wheel on the opposite side made it even more unusual. This is a truly small family-oriented zoo with an interesting selection of animals. Everything was clean and well maintained, and we enjoyed the visit. I was especially excited to see capybaras and meerkats. Personally, it was also fascinating to observe the visitors — many families with two or more children. The food was decent, but because of the strong wind and too many wasps outside, the experience was mixed. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a day with family.

Visited for my daughter’s birthday and it was great all round. The entire place is very well designed and in good condition. We tried food at a few of the outlets and all were good quality tasting food - not amazing but not the typical greasy nonsense you get. It’s good that you can walk around each area multiple times and in different directions so you really feel like you get the most out of your ticket. Price wise was good, about average and like I said there is plenty to do when inside. All the animals we saw looked happy, no concerns there.

A brilliant zoo, I would say one of the best we have visited. It was busy but we didn't feel it, its nicely spread out so you never feel crowded, it was also very clean and tidy. The staff were fantastic, even when doing something they were happy to answer questions on animals, they were all happy, friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. The animals all seemed happy and healthy with a lovely variety. As with all zoos it would be nice to see them with more space. The food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Nice to have the mix of animals, the dino trail and parks too. It is 3.5hours away from us but worth every minute in the car. Would 100% recommend

Great zoo, loved the red panda experience, keeper was very friendly and informative in answering any questions I had. Loved getting to see the two red pandas being introduced to each other. Got good views of the animals, some of the viewing windows were quite wet with condensation which blocked views but not much to be done about that. Lots of kids so was quite noisy but think I came in the school holidays. Only negative was one of the jaguars was pacing around a lot in its enclosure, hopefully it was just waiting for food or something like that and not stressed. Got Uber easily to/from the train station. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

A really good day out. I went with my sister and my two teenagers and we all thoroughly enjoyed our day. The theming, informative signs, viewing areas/platforms and eateries were very good. Of course the wonderful animals were the highlight and I can recommend attending the bird show! At the end of the day we even had a train ride around the dinosaur area for £2 each, which ended the day nicely.

A family favourite. My son was two when we went and he loved the dinosaurs section even though I was worried he was too young, there are some bits that are slightly gruesomely but you can quickly go past them. It’s good fun and you can then go to the zoo and look at the animals. It’s very well organised and clean. Limited option for food and as with any of these venues, it’s overpriced for the quality you get.

Hertfordshire Zoo is a fantastic family-friendly destination with a great variety of animals and interactive zones. The enclosures are well maintained , highlights include the lions, camels, and alpacas, all easy to view up close. The “World of Animals” and “Tumble Jungle” soft play area add extra fun for kids, with clearly scheduled play sessions. The zoo is clean, well signposted, and offers a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. A perfect day out for families with young children!

Such a beautifully presented platter of delicious cheese and crackers which we thoroughly enjoyed with our cups of tea! Unfortunately however my partner being a 6’4 when used their loo, bumped his head as they have a low ceiling. Also, my partner had ordered another cup of tea that was served in another table which made him wait longer for his extra hot drink. As we explored in the field, we smelt a wonderful fresh fragrance of Lavender! It did not look as purple anymore as I am aware they were going to be harvested soon when we went on 07.08.25 However, the Sunflower field did not disappoint us as they were in their full bloom and most yellow. Nice day out! We love The Barn! Recommended. Be careful with your head at the loos though.

Visited Hitchin Lavender for the first time yesterday to pick our pumpkins for Halloween. We had a fantastic time. Despite the big crowds the pumpkin patch itself was full of loads of large and undamaged pumpkins, perfect for carving. The decorations were fun and well thought out. There was face painting, games and a clown present for the kids. It very aimed at families and children however me and my fiancée still had a great time as a couple. Both the cafes were busy but the staff were handling the queues quickly and politely, plus the pumpkin spiced latte and Halloween luxury hot chocolate were worth the wait as they were both delicious. I will definitely visit next summer as a result of how good it was for the Halloween season.

The Weather was hot ☀️ and nice 😊 All staff were nice and friendly. The Lavender Fields was vibrant with colour and the smells were amazing. Food was delicious 😋 and delightful. The lavender ice cream 🍦 was amazing. Lavender lemonade was delicious and very refreshing. Overall we had a fantastic experience. Everyone should visit Hitchin Lavender. I’ve come with my family from Manchester.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning sea of purple stretching across the fields. The aroma of fresh lavender in the air was soothing, and the views were breathtaking — perfect for photos and for simply taking it all in. What made the visit even more special was that we brought our pet along — and they had a blast! Hitchin Lavender is genuinely welcoming to pets, and it showed. One of the biggest highlights was the pet ice cream available on-site. Our furry friend devoured it and couldn’t get enough! It’s such a thoughtful touch for animal lovers. We also tried the lavender ice cream ourselves — and wow! It was creamy, floral, and incredibly refreshing. A truly unique treat that we still talk about. The food options in general were lovely, with plenty of choices for snacks and drinks, and the outdoor seating made it easy to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Before we left, we couldn’t resist browsing the shop. We ended up buying several lavender products — from oils and soaps to beautifully packaged dried lavender. Everything smelled divine and made perfect gifts (and keepsakes for ourselves). Very big nice park with lakes and aqua park/ water activities. Can do very long walks here with or without a dog. Many people cycle here too. There is fishing in the big water activities lake of that takes your fancy. Plenty of geese around. There's a cafe and toilets at the car park by the big lake Also a big play ground / water park for the kids as well as a smaller play area right alongside the big lake. Really lovely to come for a walk or sit down. Nice view over the hill too.

Great space for both children and adults! It has everything here including Play area, fishing, splash park, picnic benches, wall climbing, sailing, lakes, ponds, walks and a fully stocked cafe serving hot and cold food as well as ice cream and coffees. Toilets available too as well as plenty of grassland for the kids to run around. Definitely a place to visit!

The activity was great for the kids, the staff were very friendly and the system they have works well. There is hot food and coffee available at the cafe however the only bad point i have to make is about the toilets inside the cafe, there is a hygien issue, it looks and smells as if they havent been cleaned properly in months. The smell is unbearable and the walls are filthy, for that reason i refused to buy the family food there.

I recently attended the Taste of the Caribbean festival and had an incredible experience. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with a true celebration of Caribbean culture throughout the day. The entertainment was fantastic, with a lively live band that kept the crowd dancing and engaged. The food was absolutely amazing – full of authentic flavours and a great variety to choose from. It was also a very family-friendly event, with something for everyone to enjoy. I felt completely safe the entire time, and the overall vibe was warm, joyful, and energetic. I’d definitely recommend Taste of the Caribbean to anyone looking for a fun, cultural, and well-organised day out. Can’t wait for the next one!

Fairlands Valley Lake is one of Stevenage’s most scenic outdoor spots, perfect for anyone who enjoys peaceful walks and natural beauty. Lovely open park with 2 big lakes. Perfect for walking, jogging, picnic, or just lying on the grass and relaxing. Very family friendly as well. There is a cafe with toilet. Parking is great with 4 separate parking areas and can accommodate quite a lot of cars. Went there for the first time on a sunny day and it did not disappoint.

Very warm welcome from the reception staff. Lovely nice clean spa. Had a lovely Himalayan salt stone back massage with Megan. She was lovely and friendly but professional and the massage was good. The dehumidifier in the room was loud and she was unable to turn it off. This spoilt the overall experience for me as I found the noise irritating. Pool area was nice but there are not enough beds or chairs for people to be able to relax and read in the pool area and nowhere else to sit and relax. Cafe is okay, prices reasonable. Overall good value for money for a half day experience but not enough to do for a whole day.

I had a Himalayan Salt Stone massage at Bannatyne Fairfield today, it was so relaxing! Christine was really friendly and professional and made me feel completely comfortable. The massage itself was a full body, the salt stones were hot which was lovely and also exfoliating which was a bonus. After the treatment, I wanted to buy an Elemis cleanser and Christine was very knowledgeable about the products and helped me choose what was best for me and my skin. I bought the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash and I have just used it for the first time. It had a nice gentle scent and my skin feels lovely and soft (which is not a given for me!). Thank you Christine!

Absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere, the staff and the building. We were greeted and told where everything was. The changing spaces were spacious and really modern. Lockers were a great size and the showers were lovely. Swimming pool was so relaxing with jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Restaurant food was easy to order and not too expensive. Food tastes great and quality was amazing. Had a cheeky cocktail and that went down a treat. The spa facility was beautiful! Great architecture and a great history. The treatment was perfect, great room temperature, relaxing and I could have stayed for longer! Will be back!

Had a lovely experience at Bannatynes Spa at Fairfield. Me and my mum decided to treat ourselves for my birthday to a spa day. The spa facilities were lovely as they have been before and it was so relaxing to be able to use the sauna and steam room after our swim. I will say the best part of the day was our treatments. We both had mini back massages and facials. Christine was my masseuse and she was amazing! She made me feel so relaxed and gave me great advice on how to look after my skin. She was so lovely and sweet and I truly couldn’t have asked for someone better to give me my birthday massage!

I had the absolute pleasure of a deep tissue massage with Jamila, and it was outstanding from start to finish. She was professional, kind, and genuinely listened to what I needed. For the first time, I felt like I had a real massage—targeted, effective, and exactly what my body needed, unlike previous experiences elsewhere. Jamila’s skill and care made such a difference, and she’s the reason I’ll be coming back to Bannatyne Spa Fairfield. Thank you, Jamila, for not only easing my aches but also leaving me feeling refreshed and cared for.

Spa day. All staff very friendly. Facilities very good (full Technogym equipment). Food is good quality and reasonably priced. With vegan options :) Pool can get busy but if you’re just chilling and not using it to swim lengths it’s absolutely fine.

Lovely relaxing spa day, brilliant value for money with the 2 x 30min treatments. Mum and I had an express facial and back/neck/shoulder massage. It was lovely, we couldn't use the pool as a class was on but the sauna, steam and jacuzzi were fab! Great Gluten / Dairy free options for lunch too! We had a fab experience from start to finish x

Very busy on a Saturday but well organised and had a great time. Table service is a treat. I kept forgetting to scan my balls. My excuse for getting beat by my Grandchildren 😂

I visited here for the first time ever, and I was very impressed with the service at the first point of contact - at reception, where we made a payment for three of us and then we were given a number in the queue and then we waited a short while while we had ordered something from the bar to eat, and by the time we finished the food, it was our assigned time to play golf. On the way upstairs, we were greeted by Leona, who was smiling and greeted us very nicely and told us the many rules that we had to abide by. She was very helpful and very courteous while delivering this important information and my feedback today - is just as gratitude to her, to thank her for her warm greetings and a smiling face as she welcomed, us to the area where you collect the balls from and advised, us to go upstairs to our assigned bay. I would however recommend one thing despite having had a great experience playing golf and the whole evening was amazing. Could I recommend that Leona be provided with a tall chair, so that she can sit up high, while welcoming the clients, as the poor lady was standing and I don’t even know when her shift started but I can imagine it would be very hard for her stand there for the duration of her whole shift. I did ask for her managers name which she told me was Bailey and I thought I would write this review and provide a constructive suggestion, which I would be very grateful if you could action. Despite this constructive suggestion, I have to say, my overall very first experience was great. So, please, Keep up the good work, you have a great team of people, even the security guards were smiling, helpful and happy and they were definitely not the normal run of the mill, serious looking intimidating security guards. We took my sister to Top Golf for her birthday and it was the best decision! The staff were incredible. They were all polite, kind and so attentive. They offered to bring out cake and sing for the celebrants birthday. One of the staff even stated that she’d only worked there a few days yet she represented the brand like someone who’s worked the years long. Will definitely be back

I was really looking forward to a fun outing at Top Golf Chigwell, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The place was overcrowded and noisy, making it hard to enjoy the games. The equipment was in poor condition—some clubs were broken or damaged, and the balls were worn out. The food and drinks were overpriced and poorly prepared. Our order took forever to arrive, and when it did, it was cold and clearly not fresh. On top of that, the staff seemed completely disorganized and uninterested in helping us, which added to the frustration. For the amount of money you pay, I expected a much higher level of service and quality. Unfortunately, this visit was stressful rather than enjoyable, and I won’t be coming back.

I visited Top Golf Chigwell for my friend’s birthday, and the experience was completely ruined from the start. From the moment we entered, we felt harassed by the staff, who were watching us like we were criminals. They even checked my license as if it might be fake, despite it being completely valid. Once we got to our bay, the staff continued following us around, making the atmosphere incredibly uncomfortable. To make matters worse, they completely messed up our beverage order—putting carbonated water in our cognac shots—which ruined the drinks and our day. Overall, the staff’s attitude and incompetence turned what should have been a fun birthday celebration into a stressful and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this location.

Absolutely awful! Staggeringly rude and disinterested staff. Managers were argumentative. We waited over 100 minutes for poor quality, dry food and were told that our complaint was, 'just like everyone else'! I cannot adequately articulate just how little every single member of staff made us feel for a 3 hour visit that was an hour longer than it should have been and cost me nearly £200. Do not waste your money on this place. It's expensive, poor quality, poorer service and proactively confrontational. Everything is paid up front and they will not refund any monies paid. If you're lucky, you'll get the complimentary offer to come back and be treated poorly on another night! And before they regurgitate their copy and paste reply to this review from the customer (don't)care department encourgaing me to submit my feedback using the email link... I HAVE! I ALWAYS DO AND I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT EITHER! JUST LIKE I KNOW YOU WON'T RESPOND TO MY MOST RECENT FEEDBACK!

Fantastic Experience at Topgolf Chigwell! I recently visited Topgolf Chigwell and had an amazing time from start to finish. The venue is modern, clean, and well-organized, with a great atmosphere that's perfect for both casual outings and special occasions. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.

Meerkat experience was good £50 for two people you get to prepare the food for the four meerkats and the large tortoise . Yes get around 10 minutes feeding them . At the end you get a small gift from the shop. There are other animals to see and the entrance is free , there are toilets and a cafe . There is only a small car park on site . Good children’s playground.

This is a great place to take the children. Plenty of farm animals in uncrowded spaces. A decent size playground for the younger children. Accessible toilets and a somewhat overpriced cafe. Loads of open spaces for the children. The design of the park is to accommodate families. There are even picnic tables, and a sensory area. A car park is located nearby costing £1.50 for 5 hours, with the first being free.

This is a terrific little piece of works that would be a shame to miss if visiting Harlow. Even a mere cat enclosure as good as any I've seen.

We hadn’t been in years considering my daughter and I used to be here all the time. It has really changed and upgraded. The meerkats were so lovely and it was very clean and tidy.

This review is about Pets Corner located @ Town Park, Edinburgh Way, Harlow CM20 2QG, United Kingdom. Nice place to go with children again 5 to 14, I would say its like a family day out place. Mare can be done to improve the life of the animals in this place with better & bigger cages. It would be nice to have few washrooms for the kids and aged people, perhaps convenient store for water and snacks. The entrance is free but we were not able to see everything as lots of gates were closed. Would love to see this place again with more improvement for tourists and the visitors of the place. Few limited car parking available at the site against a fee. Good place for nature & animals lovers

Booked the meerkat and tortoise experience for my 7 year old granddaughters birthday with my daughter. The lady who hosted the event was brilliant, knowledgeable and patient and made the day a great experience, she took photos on my daughters phone for her so the pictures are up close and fantastic .. couldn't recommend enough and really reasonably priced

Lovely collection of animals that seem to be well-cared for and happy. Perfect for kids and adults alike. Free entry during opening hours, but be sure to leave a donation if you can to help continue the great work.
