It was a fun take on golf with mini games. Food and drink service to your bay was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food itself was delicious (Classic Smash Burger). I felt it was a bit expensive though and would rather take 50 balls in the driving range for a fraction of the price. We queued for 20mins to register and get inside before being able to get a drink and start booking a bay. Bit too much waiting.to get in, I'm still not sure why it took so long as there were lots of free bays. It was a good introduction to golf for my son who is now keen to play on a course.

We payed for tbe VIP experience. We were supposed to be fast tracked, however had to wait for a member of staff to come to show us to the booth. Food and drink wasnt too badly priced and was suprinsgly good. We were made to wait about 10 minutes for the buggy to pick up the balls up which ate in to our time and prevented us from finishing the last game.

Good fun, nice facilities and the staff were friendly. The only downside was the admin involved in registering, which feels like a lot if you're only visiting once. I've never played anything beyond crazy golf before this. So this was a good intro to a driving range and you have a good laugh even if you're rubbish at it.

Amazing experience thanks to a young short haired lady called Kenz. I came to Topgolf and was honestly blown away by how friendly and professional she was despite being a young adult. She made the whole experience so much better — super welcoming, patient, and full of good energy. You can tell she really cares about what she’s doing and makes everyone feel comfortable and looked after. She explained everything clearly and kept the vibe fun the whole time. Top-notch service, the food and drinks were beyond amazing. — I’ll definitely be coming back.

Had a great time at TopGolf Addlestone! The facilities are excellent, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is really fun — perfect for a group outing or something a bit different. The only downside is that it’s a bit on the expensive side. If you’re thinking of visiting, I definitely recommend going on Tuesdays when they offer half-price games — it’s a great way to enjoy the experience without breaking the bank!

Alex was extremely helpful and showed real care when one of our group had allergies. He checked everything with the kitchen and made sure all were safe, it was very reassuring. Thoroughly enjoyed talking the self guided tour. The glass floor gives a unique view of the Thames, but can be slightly unnerving. The engine room has the two steam engines, used to power the bascules, on display. Over all, it's very good venue for money.

Tower Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in London and visiting it was a fantastic experience. The views from the bridge are stunning, both of the Thames and the city. Taking the Tower Bridge Exhibition tour made the visit even better, as it gave detailed insights into how the bridge was built and the fascinating mechanism behind its operation. Walking across the glass floor was a unique highlight too, giving a completely different perspective of the bridge and the river below. The site is very well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing to keep in mind is that you may need to wait in a queue for entry, and on a sunny day this can feel a bit frustrating. Still, it’s not just a landmark to admire from outside, but also an educational and memorable experience to explore from within. Definitely worth visiting.

Walking near Tower Bridge is honestly one of the nicest things to do in London, especially if you’re trying to escape the busy streets without leaving the city. The view is unreal – you’ve got the bridge itself, which looks straight out of a postcard, the river Thames calmly flowing, and plenty of spots to just sit and chill. There’s something peaceful about hearing the water and watching the boats go by, even when there are tourists around. At sunset, the whole area lights up in warm colours and it feels kinda magical. It’s also surprisingly clean and safe, even in the evening. Loads of nice little cafes and street food stalls around if you fancy a bite, and the walk towards the south bank or down to St Katharine Docks is worth it too. You get a mix of old-school charm and modern city vibes. Would definitely recommend it for a date, a solo unwind walk, or just to take some beautiful photos. 10/10 – calming, scenic, and very London.

The Tower Bridge is a great stop if you're in the nearby area, and provides about 30min to 1 hour diversion. Combined with the free audio tour, great views complete with partial glass floor in one section, historic awe of the building process, and gift shop at the end - I would highly recommend if you're in the area. There are lifts for the tower, but I suggest/recommend you take the stairs getting some insight, facts and touch of history on the way up and down. There are benches to rest, toilets but no Air Con for most of it, however fans throughout provide plenty of relief - 84 degrees and it never felt sweltering inside. Learn how the bridge was designed, constructed and changes over the years - in particular the engine room videos and presentation on divers were really great. And whenever you're done walk along the Thames River path near the wharf and grab a bite to eat.

Good view from the top from a perspective you won't see otherwise. Short video of old footage of London was good. Information boards everywhere to enlighten visitors. On the London Pass so that makes it better value.

Wonderful experience. We travelled to Waterloo by train and hopped on boat to London Bridge for the Tower which was easy and entertaining. The Tower was fascinating, such history. The poppy installation was fantastic. A really good day.....but you need comfy walking shoes!

Great day out. Went on a weekend and not too busy outside of peak season. Crown Jewels clearly the highlight, and didn’t disappoint - displays nicely spaced out, not too much content to overload younger ones and up to date, but there’s also so much more to see. Poppy display was superb, exotic animals, Yeoman tour and White Tower also worth the time, with the latter having interactive area for children. Nice day out and good to take a picnic (though not lots of spaces to sit and eat).

Absolutely a wonderful time. As a tourist from the US, I cannot believe the amount of history in one place. You could spend an entire vacation at this site alone. Seeing highlights from the coronation amd seeing them in real life was fantastic. The displays in the White Tower were worth it alone

After waiting in a queue for more than 2 1/2 hours, just to get into the park, to then only get on 4 rides in 7 hours was a really big disappointment, especially after paying £40 for a ticket 🎟. To fast track 1 ride per person was an extra £16 each but was still no solid guarantee to be that much quicker in the mile long queues for rides, so unfortunately, my first, and no doubt, last ever visit to Thorpe Park, was massively disappointing to say the least. Bring on the day, a paying customers satisfaction and experience are prioritised over how much money 💰 they can make, and gladly take from us, each day.

The attraction was amazing. We went for fright night and the actors where so nice. Creature campus looked after my niece for me when I went on a ride with my boys because she wasnt feeling up to it and sung happy birthday to her which made her feel so happy to be there. I really recommend coming its a great day out with the family and definitely come for fright night. The food was amazing 100% recommend food. Staff was great. Actors amazing. Survival games scare maze breathe takingly amazing although sometimes you do get split up from the group. We went on a Thursday so it wasn't as busy and the ride queues weren't really long. The actors remembered my niece all through the night and everytime we saw them they would say hello. Also Connie and rattlesnack and all the Frank's are so wonderful and nice. My niece's name is bethany.

Visited on Sunday, 2 November 2025 and had a great day overall. The atmosphere and theming were brilliant. Hyperia was stunning, though both my friend and I (in our thirties) had neck pain after one ride and ended up taking paracetamol, so it might be worth reviewing comfort. One staff member at the curry outlet was unnecessarily rude when I asked her to repeat herself, which took the shine off things. The small Stranger Things shed looked amazing - I would love to see that expanded into a full attraction in the future!

Queues were pretty crazy, 1 hour just to get in! 1 hour minimum for a ride, 2 hours+ for hyperia, if you didn't have a fast pass. Was impressed with the vegan options for food though! Also there are quite a few electric charging points in the car park, which are compatible with the octopus electroverse cars

An amazing theme park, compact and easy to get around, so many extreme rides. Great for teenagers and up, no so for little ones. But be prepared for very long queues if you go on a weekend and in the holidays... try not to, pull a sick day and go in the week! 😅

First time doing fright night at any of the parks. Great atmosphere, decent scare mazes, and riding rollercoasters in the dark was my favourite theme park experience ever. Well worth the money considering the extended opening times.

Thorpe Park is built for thrill seekers. Adult tickets bought in advance start at around thirty-three pounds, but if you pay on the day the price can jump to about sixty-six, so planning ahead makes a real difference. The park is always busy, especially on weekends and school holidays, and while the atmosphere is energetic and lively, the crowds also mean queues can stretch for a long time on the most popular rides!! The rides themselves are the main draw and they don’t disappoint. Hyperia, the new record-breaking coaster, is a breathtaking mix of speed and airtime, while Stealth launches you from zero to motorway speeds in under two seconds. The Swarm twists and dives with enough inversions to leave you grinning or disoriented, and Colossus still holds its charm with ten back-to-back loops, even if it’s a little rougher than newer designs. Water rides like Tidal Wave break things up nicely and are especially refreshing in summer, though almost every major attraction demands patience in the queues. Food inside the park is a mixed experience: there’s plenty of choice, from pizza and wraps to fish and chips, but prices are predictably high, with meals ranging from seven to twenty pounds and more premium sit-down options at the hotel restaurant going higher still. Quality varies but is usually decent, and bringing a few snacks or a refillable water bottle can save money. By the time you leave, tired and likely a little lighter in the wallet, the buzz of the rides and the sheer adrenaline rush usually make the day feel worth it — it’s an experience that delivers thrills in abundance, even if it comes at a price. Far too scary for me .

Absolutely love London. And Big Ben is a must see / visit. It has been beautifully restored and looks grand as it should. Right next to the houses of Parliament and across from Westminster Abbey just down the road from Buckingham Palace. And then there is number 10. Definitely make time to go to this iconic land Mark.

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield. The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better. As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

As a visitor, you can’t ask for a better system to get about to major museums, etc. You get to ride with both the working class and executives alike. Iconic London ! Takes a little getting used to, if you need to travel in the City, it’s the way to go. As a visitor, we purchased a Visitor Oyster Card online, it’s a fantastic deal. Recommended.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

These shops are all closed for good. I could rattle on about the good old days, (people actually pay to hear about it) and a book would be better; it would take a book, pdf, file, whatever to explain how much it has changed. Point? Many but the main one is: Thanks to Bid Rigging the same people keep getting rich fulfilling contracts that do nothing but cosmetic change. I'd rather see the old retailers (driven out by sky high rent, business taxes, business rates that the the big corporate retailers. Btw/ if you come to London be prepared to lug your suitcase up and down many flights of stairs. Of course the bureaucracy will point to "no step access" (only lawsuits by disabled brought that in) and there are more lifts (elevators), yes this is better than nothing - - lucky find one lift 20 years ago. The old, dirty, extremely noisy rolling stock in Central London is the same. Recently you could still find "MetroCamell" 1973. John Lennon probably on one. Sure, they Spent £16 Billion over budget and late) on a new Elizabeth Line. It's a nice reflection on what we have - - tourists are in central London for the sights, not off to Abby Wood (the other one) and to have them riding the clittering, clanking, clattering collection of caligenous junk - - (think Wizard of Oz to the Tin Man) is a disgrace.

Coming from Manchester we need this in the city.... Yes its a bit dim, dark and dirty.... But what a brilliant, cheap and quick way to get around....

I’ve been wanting to take the kids on The London Eye for a while but I’m glad I waited until they were older otherwise I think they would have got bored after a while! We came during the summer holidays so the weather was nice and the views were beautiful. I pre booked for the best ticket prices and to take advantage of the £20 per adult and £18 per child special offers. We enjoyed it and the kids were able to spot famous buildings which was fun 😁 The only let down was that there were alot of us in our cabin as we were grouped up with a large family with limited seating so after a while of standing i had to sit on the poles due to issues with my knee and the kids sat on the floor. It was a busy day and I think the staff filled the cubicle to capacity This is something to bear in mind for those that may have ailments or disabilities where they need to sit down. Other than that it is worth the visit, we didn’t wait long in the queue and they also take pictures and give you a card with a QR code which can be scanned so you can purchase the pictures after your ride which is nice 😊

The London Eye is an interesting experience that I was glad that I went on, but I am not sure if I would recommend. It offers great views of the city but I understand that The Shard and Sky Garden also can do this. Heck, the coffee shop at Tate Modern also has great views and it is free to go up. We had booked a time and were waiting for our slot, when we arrived 15 minutes early to join an extremely long queue. I was very surprised how quickly the line went and we actually boarded the ride at our allocated time. I suspect if we arrived early (within reason), we could have got on sooner rather than waiting around. Getting on and off was easy, even though the ride didn't stop. The entire trip lasted about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. Obviously the views were great, but I `think that I would have spent less time if I had gone up the Shard or Sky Garden, as the ride seemed to trudge along. The are definitely opportunities to get discounted tickets: book online or in the visitor centre or with the London Pass. Since the line went quick, I wouldn't pay extra for a fast path.

I recently visited the V&A with a friend to see the Cartier Exhibition. It was great, even though it was a bit crowded, which meant no hanging about. However, there were opportunities to return to an exhibit if you wished. I visited on a lovely autumn afternoon and the colourful trees outside added to my enjoyment. There's also a beautiful cafe for a wide selection of food and drinks. It's one of my favourite museums to visit as they put on great exhibitions on a wide variety of subjects. I recommend it highly as a wonderful place to visit anytime.

If you’re anywhere near South Kensington, the Victoria & Albert Museum is one of those places you absolutely must pop into. As someone who’s lived in England for years, I can honestly say the V&A never gets old. What surprised me the most on my recent visit was just how incredible the ceramics collection is. If you’re even slightly into pottery, porcelain, glazes, or anything to do with craft and kiln work, you’ll be blown away. There are shelves and walls filled—and I mean filled—with pieces from all over the world, from tiny delicate bowls to massive vases taller than a child. You could easily spend half a day in the ceramics section alone. And it’s not just ceramics. The museum has an impressive range of sculptures as well—scrubbs, marble carvings, classical statues, and pieces that make you wonder how on earth someone carved something so smooth out of stone. My visit to the Victoria & Albert Museum was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. As I entered the galleries connected to Punjab and Sikh history, I felt a deep emotional connection. The artifacts linked to Maharaja Ranjit Singh—his weapons, jewelry, and artistic treasures—were beautifully preserved and displayed with great respect. Seeing them filled me with immense pride for my heritage. The staff at the museum were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Each section was well-explained and thoughtfully organised. For anyone interested in Punjab, Sikh history, or Indian heritage, the V&A Museum is truly a treasure. I highly recommend this museum to every traveller visiting London. It’s not just a museum—it’s a place where you feel connected to your roots.

A Truly Remarkable Day! I simply can't recommend the membership strongly enough! My visit to the Marie Antoinette exhibition today was truly remarkable. Not only was the collection breathtaking, but the staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout the day. My daughter and I wore period-style Marie Antoinette costumes, and it was lovely to feel welcomed and celebrated. Every single person we encountered was charming and pleasant. What a fantastic museum experience!

Free to enter for their main exhibits, except for special exhibitions. But there's plenty to see and explore in the different courts, organised by theme, geographical area and time period. There are so many different exhibitions that you can easily spend 3 hours here. Of course the main attraction is the Blue whale skeleton, called hope. It weighs 4.5tonnes and measures 25.2m long. This is a real blue whale skeleton and not a model! Can you imagine! There is a dinosaur exhibition and for your info, most of the bones on display are actual dinosaur bones! If you see its dated, then its real dinosaur bones. Other than that there are other paid exhibitions available throughout the museum.

The museum is well-maintained and full of interesting collections. Natural History Museum in London and was truly impressed. The building itself is stunning with its grand architecture and detailed interior. The dinosaur and gemstone exhibits were fascinating and well-organized. I especially enjoyed the interactive sections that make learning fun for both kids and adults. Spending few hours here may not enough. I recommend booking paid tickets for elderly visitors.

Always love going to museums where ever I go to take in the local perspective. It is free entry with donation recommended, which is easy once you see what this place has to offer. This would have been one of the larger sites I have visited in my travels. It has a large variety of collections spanning several floors. I really enjoyed most of the galleries I saw, with their interactive displays that complement the static representations. We literally spent all afternoon their until close and still didn't get a chance to see the whole building. Missing out on the Darwin, and some of the green sector. From what we did see the rest of the place would be just as amazing. Since it's free entry it can definitely be a 2 day walk about. The place is large and requires a bit of sauntering. There are lots of benches and presentations that you can sit while you watch. Which is nice for those who have mobility challenges. Overall, a great visit but if you really like to hit every inch, it's a whole day visit so keep that in mind.

Well kept clean and spacious. Wheel chair acess though out and entering with no steps . Its extremely hot inside even in November. Could do with air conditioning. Lots of history with lots of animals. Great for kids all ages and adults. Toilets and disabled toilets on site with a cafe which is rather expensive so I would recommend brining yours own lunch in if you are a family. 2 coffees and a cookie was approximately £15 . Over all a great experience and very educational. If you home educate your children its worth a day trip in to London to visit the museum. Today, I took a group of elderly visitors with dementia to the London History Museum. Our group varied in mobility — some were able to walk independently, one used a walker, and two were in wheelchairs. We had a brilliant time exploring the different rooms, and the earthquake experience was truly amazing and impactful for everyone. The museum was quite busy with several school groups, which did raise some concerns. One of my members was bumped into twice by a school group, causing them to become unsteady on their feet. While the school group was apologetic, the situation was a little disappointing. The only drawbacks were that the toilets are quite spread out across the museum, and the lifts were sometimes difficult to use due to limited capacity and unclear floor labels. Despite this, we managed to navigate successfully. It was nice to see seating areas scattered around the rooms, providing opportunities for rest. Booking disability parking was straightforward and very helpful, with friendly staff assisting us both on arrival and when we left. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I’d love to return with my family next time for a more flexible visit

For a free entry this museum was absolutely incredible. A very wide variety of exhibits from a multitude of scientific fields. Definitely take your time and explore the entire building. Enjoyed looking at all the different animal exhibits. The dinosaur section of the museum was very fascinating to go through 🦖. I also enjoyed the geological sections. It really does seem that the museum is promoting education at no price! 👨‍🔬 A must visit if you're in the area.

Visiting The National Gallery was truly a magical experience. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the atmosphere and every room tells a different story through its paintings. The layout makes it easy to explore, and the colors, details, and emotions in each artwork are breathtaking. It’s not just a museum but it’s a journey through art and history that leaves you inspired and full of wonder.

It was a wonderful experience. The museum has a good collection of Monet and Van Gogh paintings, which I really enjoyed. For just an afternoon, it’s possible to see everything without getting too tired, though you could easily spend a whole day if you want to study the works in detail. We visited on November 17, and there was also a Christmas market outside the museum, which added a very festive atmosphere.

A very spacious series of galleries housing some of the best known images in the international art world. With a restaurant and toilets and plenty of friendly guides you can easily spend a day here, or just pop in and revisit your favourites. It may look daunting from the outside but the new entrance makes the whole place accessible for anyone. Children of any age will find something to look at and many school trips visit and no they don't disturb the 'grown ups'! A teashop, restaurant, bookshop and well stocked shop make this a day, or two to remember.

I can say that I love this museum. Seeing such a collection of paintings for free is just amazing nowadays. There are beautiful paintings in every room. I could spend a day to visit it. Just do not forged taking a map at the entrance as this is a pretty large museum. French, Spanish, Italian, English, Deutsche… painters from middle age to impressionists. A pretty large collection of Impressionists paintings that can rival with that of Musée d’Orsay in France. Only the Louvre in France is more impressive (but far from being free) among all painting museums that I visited all other the world (with a special notice for Grenoble and Poitier’s painting museum that are great place to visit too).

The National Gallery, a one place to see history through paintings. As usual this gallery is free for entery and quite big so plan ahead. You can book free online ticket or walkin. Tube connectivity is there. Plan to enjoy and take photos from outside squar also. There is a paid washroom available outside. You get chance to see a lot of historical paintings and know about the artist. Due to limited time I was not able to complete it. Wear comfortable shoes and carry water if possible.

I visited the National Gallery today and absolutely loved it. It’s an absolute must visit place when in London, and you can spend hours wandering from room to room, never running out of things to look at. One of the highlights for me was seeing some of Monet’s pieces in person, a moment I’ve been looking forward to for so long. Standing in front of his work felt surreal, and it was worth the entire trip on its own. I highly recommend paying the galley a visit, especially because it’s free entry!

If you’re in London, you must visit this place. I stopped by during an 8 hour layover, and even though I couldn’t take my time the way I wanted to, it was absolutely worth it. The collection is stunning, wall after wall of masterpieces you could spend hours admiring. I barely scratched the surface and already felt amazed. I’ll definitely be coming back on a proper trip so I can truly enjoy and appreciate everything this museum has to offer.

What a place to visit. The world meets in London and I hope it continues that way. Everything is well organized, spaced and placed. It’s my second time in there and am keen to go back more times. This is not a one day visit you need few times to cover the whole Musuem. Recommend to come with comfortable shoes

Went on a Thursday in half term time, it was incredibly busy, loads of children! It was still a nice experience for my kids, they loved it. You need a couple of days to visit the whole museum, especially if you are looking to study anything in particular. Limited choices on thw food in the food court area and expect London prices but there is also a high end restaurant at the top. Own food and drinks are permitted only in the designated area. We will definitely come again to see and study other areas.

A Must-see Museum! You can literally feel the history of the world here. It’s free to visit; however, when you think about all the pieces taken away from their motherlands, it does feel a bit bittersweet. :) Make sure to book your tickets in advance — it gets busy! Vue Staines Cinema is an utterly deplorable venue, delivering a revolting and infuriating experience that shames Staines-upon-Thames. The large screen circle screen was a disgusting mess, with debris—popcorn, wrappers, and grime—strewn across rows and dark brown stains on my seat, as if never cleaned. I see reviews echo this, noting “disgustingly dirty seats.” I alerted staff, who half-heartedly swept a few seats, ignoring my stained one with a dismissive shrug. Smaller screens are slightly cleaner, but that’s no excuse for such neglect. The VIP seats at the front were torturous, causing neck pain from craning upward, and the cold leather seats in the freezing auditorium made sitting unbearable. Other reviews confirm broken, uncomfortable seating. For a cinema boasting premium upgrades, this is a shameful rip-off. Staff were abhorrent, offering no hello, smile, or gratuity, treating me like an inconvenience. During end credits, they rudely demanded I leave, snapping, “Why are you still here?”—mirroring “Zach I”’s review of confrontational managers. I raised this with the manager and trainee manager, who stood silently, offering no response or introduction, their apathy humiliating me further. Despite a banner claiming “no need to queue” for online tickets, I was forced into a chaotic queue, a deceptive lie frustrating others too. This, with the staff’s hostility, made the visit a punishment, not entertainment. Vue Staines is a far cry from its “state-of-the-art” claims. Lovely local cinema, I’m a regular here. Great prices, only £6.99 even cheaper online. Big screens with excellent speakers, enriches the big screen experience. Food is a mixed bag, nachos are decent though. Customer service is excellent, very friendly & attentive staff.

Since they changed management this year.. i have not gone back. They are too strick, staff are rude and I felt i had no right to go in and watch a movie. So many changes ... rather pay more and go in to London where staff are more professional, you have freedom to enjoy yourself and no stupid rules like being able to buy food when you want and not 15 minutes before the movie starts, my choice what movie my children can see and a much better atmosphere... would not recommend 😕

I attended this place with my partner to watch The Strangers: Chapter 2. When we arrived, the man at the front desk asked to check my partner’s bag. That was fine — it’s his job, and she opened her bag to show him the contents. He said it was okay. However, I couldn’t help but notice that another customer — a white man behind us — was carrying an orange Sainsbury’s bag, which was not see-through. Despite this, he was not asked to have his bag checked and walked straight through. This made it very clear to me that the decision to check my partner’s bag was not random, but based on race and appearance — as we are Black and Asian. We are regulars here, and this was reported to the manager, who listened to what we had to say and came across as very professional. I want to stress that most staff are always polite and welcoming — especially those at the concession stands. The issue was solely with the man at the main entrance, whose actions felt discriminatory and disrespectful. We come here regularly to enjoy new movies, and we should not be treated differently because of our skin colour. There is no problem with staff doing bag checks — that is part of their role — but it must be applied fairly to everyone. Picking and choosing who to check based on race or appearance is wrong, and it needs to stop so that no one else experiences the same treatment.

Good grief, what a fiasco just to see a film. Arrived early and was told I wouldn't be able to go in until 15 minutes beforehand but I decided to wait it out. Went to the "upper echelon" - absolutely nowhere ro sit - apart from in the cinema of course, but I wasn't allowed in yet. Why no customer seating???? Decided to perch on a ledge and sitting practically on the floor, quietly minding my own business, along comes an individual to investigate what film I was in for but, when I said, this was obviously in doubt as there was a need to radio "Gate" to discuss at length and confirm. Eventually, I made my way along the corridor to the relevant cinema, open, empty and quiet. Came back out to find the same individual roaming about with a clipboard and I asked if it was OK for me to go in (not taking any chances). Following a very definite "yes", in I went but not before I'd been asked which cinema was which by said bearer of clipboard. Bizarre. Finally seated and jelly beans at the ready.......trailers, adverts, BBFC trailer and silence. My clipboarded saviour arrived and asked me what cinema it was and which film I was in for 🙄 - bear in mind this question had been asked 10 minutes previously and there were probably about 10 customers in the entire building - I explained once more and was told very firmly it wasn't showing until late morning. I said it was because I had a ticket. A further lengthy discussion with "Gate" revealed it was but not in that cinema. By the time I finally sat down to see the film, the shine had gone off my visit as well as off my jelly beans.

After my recent visit I won’t be returning. Hardly any staff resulted in queueing for a long period of time for overpriced stale popcorn and snack’s. The cinema screen wasn’t cleaned from the previous viewing there was rubbish everywhere, resulting in me having my own chair, after complaining to staff someone came in and picked up a few bits and left. Lots of the chairs were broken if not they are stained and dirty. Toilets were disgusting. This cinema is in need of a major revamp.

Went to see a film, queues for the food was long but that was understandable. I ordered a hotdog and was only told after U had paid that it probably wouldn’t cook in time. The manager (I think) was lovely and offered a refund or exchange for nachos but that wasn’t really what I wanted when I was hungry and don’t like nachos. I just think it would be better to let customers know before paying that the hotdogs wouldn’t be ready, as I was overcharged for nachos that I could’ve bought from lidl next door.

Had a good time with family, spent around 2hrs at the venue.kudos to the entire team for excellent crowd control. Around 80% of the wax statue look stunning and fantastic, rest felt like a dummy one. The special attraction was "Spirit of London" ride, which is a themed taxi ride through the city's history, and not a conventional train ride. The ride uses iconic black cabs to take visitors on a 5-minute journey through London's history and cultural events which also includes wax figures, immersive exhibits, and a 4D cinema.

The organisation and presentation were excellent, and the cable ride through centuries of history was absolutely epic! I didn’t see many staff around, but I didn’t really need any help. I had an amazing experience at the Madame Tuassads London. I have already been to other places but this one was different. In addition to various wax statues there was a ride which was very beautiful. Also there was 3D show which was star of the whole lot. Would highly recommend even if you have visited other wax museums. Its clean and wait time is not much.

Madame Tussauds was such a fun experience! The wax figures look unbelievably real ,it’s like walking through a celebrity world. The Marvel and Royal Family sections were my favourites. It does get busy, but totally worth it for the photos and the atmosphere.

I was a bit hesitant about going here, if it's really worth the money... And it is! We enjoyed this interactive experience very much! It's fun and I very much appreciated it is not just the wax figures (which are impressive by themselves), but I was excited about the Marvel 3D experience, the little "taxi" drive through the history of London or the scary horror cellar :) What was dissapointing was the price of the photos they take for you (25 pounds?!). But otherwise perfect way to spend a memorable afternoon (at least 3 hours recommended!), totally recommended. PS: pleasant surprise at the end of our visit was the London Eye tickets for 10£ offer.

Jordan was great. Parking easy. Open gendered changing rooms with showers. Also had a mirror and hairdryer which was nice. Lockers were easy to use. Had a group of 9 for the whole raft, unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you see it, one person at the helm doesn’t paddle. This position can rotate between within your group, which might be a good thing, so you can take a break because this was a tiring activity for sure. Great fun though!

This sports venue is truly delightful. It’s such a pleasure to watch the determination of those battling the powerful water and waves, whether in team boats or individual kayaks. I genuinely enjoy the atmosphere here, and I try to visit once or twice a week. The café adds to the charm—coffee on cold days and beer on warm ones. Altogether, it’s an outstanding place with an incredible vibe

Fantastic facility, make time for coffee or food on the terrace because it's lovely. As described on the website, great fun white water rafting. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a thrill!

Fantastic place to practice your open water and white water rafting skills there is an equipment hire area on site so you dont need to bring your own gear, ample parking the largest car park is just 100 yards from the entrance. Staff are super friendly, there is a cafe on site too with inside or outside (on balcony) seating. The road leading to the place is only a normal 30 mph road and it gets busy quickly so try and give yourself plenty of time to get there.

I went white water rafting with 7 mates for a birthday. An excellent experience, we loved it. Ask for Sean as your instructor he made it a 5/5 experience. We did 6 runs on the Olympic course and Sean upped the ante each time. Would highly recommend it!

Lee Valley White Water Centre delivered a brilliant day out. The staff were welcoming and made the whole experience feel easy, even for first-timers. The course has the perfect mix of fun and challenge, and everything is run smoothly from start to finish. I’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone looking for something memorable.

I’ve just been on the Royal Gunpowder Mills walking tour. What a great experience. The history at Waltham Abbey is fascinating, and was brought to life by the knowledgeable volunteers/guides. We were a small group of 8, so plenty of opportunities to ask as many questions as we liked. The tour allowed access to many of the buildings and structures that you only see from afar on the tractor tour. For anyone with an interest in military history, explosives, or industrial architecture l’d highly recommend this tour. Many thanks to the guides for giving us their time.

Fantastic day at the Gunpowder Mills. Greeted before entry by welcoming volunteers. The site is huge with attractions and information. We made a rocket and launched it which was fun. The tractor was great with a very informative guide. The volunteer who gave us the talk in the rocket vault was exceptionally good. We went on the miniature train and the bigger train where we saw more of the site. There is so much to see and do here. Our visit was four hours and worth every penny of the entrance fee. Looking forward to booking a walking tour when they are organised.

I had been recommended the Royal Gunpowder Mills by a friend, and with the kids now a slightly bit older we decided it would be worth a try. It's only open to visitors a couple of times a month on a Sunday, and on our visit from 11am to 4pm. We got there at 11am as it opened, there is a big sign as you come off the main road, but the site is located at the end of the drive once you have driven past all the housing. Car park is a fair size, and the entrance is located to the right once you have got into the car park. Once you have gone in, it's probably worth getting yourself booked on to the tractor ride. It leaves at specific times. We went straight towards the miniature railway which took us up the site to the gunpowder mill railway. Again, there are some set timings for this, but when we got there we pretty much had the train to ourselves. The railway takes passengers for a ride further up the site, stops and then comes back again. We managed to see the deer as well as bits of the site. The guys running the railway did a fab job at showing us all about the railway, and even let the young 'uns sit in the main cab. The tractor ride was incredibly informative and really gave a good idea of how big the place truly is (massive!) and how much history is here (loads!) Again you get to see the deer, and lots of the old buildings - lots of areas are covered in greenery where nature has taken over. The kids were also given a sheet of things to look out for on the journey. At lunch we popped back to the car to get our picnic and sat at the benches next to the play area (obstacle course / zip line). There is an area where you can get a free tea / coffee - as well as toilets if required. Post lunch, we went to create some rockets and had a little competition to see who's rocket could go the furthest - kids enjoyed this! (Well, the adults did too!) After the rockets, we went to look around the exhibition and armoury. Lots to read here, and kids did do a few little interactive games (mixing the substances at the factory etc.) but they weren't quite so keen to stand and read! The armoury was literally a room full of different guns, rifles etc. When we came out of the exhibition, we just had time to have another trip on the railway. The volunteers were great and radio'd up to ensure we would catch it on time! Once our second trip on the railway was finished it was closing time... we had been there all day! We thought the dedication and hard work by the volunteers was great - we even thought about volunteering ourselves, but it's a bit of a journey away! (Although if they ever do a family volunteering day where the kids can get involved, we would certainly consider it!!)

If you want to learn about the history of gunpowder and explosives, The Royal Gunpowder Mills provides a fascinating day out. In many respects, this is the place where it all started. Our tractor guide was quite knowledgeable and provided interesting insight. The Mills is run completely by volunteers. As the MOD has been involved in siphoning off material, it's too bad the MOD doesn't promote it as the volunteers care dearly and they can use some help.

I visited with my two children and another family, on an open day during the summer holidays. There were varied activities for the kids (rocket making/launching, tie dying, slime making and nature crafts) as well as the train that runs further up along the grounds. It was a really nice day out without the extensive crowds that you often find with children’s activities in the holidays! When booking the tickets I noticed that numbers were capped quite low so I can’t imagine it would ever be uncomfortably busy. Having a mixture of fun activities for children alongside the educational side of the small museum and exhibitions was a good balance. They particularly enjoyed role playing in the village shop with ration books! I would say the open day activities etc are probably most suited for children under 10 (which all of ours were). We also saw some beautiful deer and the children enjoyed the playground as well. Everything was staffed by volunteers (I think) giving up their time to run it. Drinks and snacks in the cafe were very well priced - i bought ice lollies for 5 children for barely more than the price you’d pay for one at an ice cream van!! We brought a packed lunch with us as suggested on the website - I don’t think there is much in the way of food other than snacks available in the cafe. All in all a nice day out, something a bit different and easy to drive to and park.

I took the walking tour today. Absolutely brilliant experience! We started in the cafe with a tea/coffee before heading out in a small group with the volunteers. They really knew so much about the site and were so passionate about its history that it was a real pleasure to listen to. Look out for the wildlife too- we saw lots of deer around!

The road to the zoo is a bit narrow and winding, and driving with the steering wheel on the opposite side made it even more unusual. This is a truly small family-oriented zoo with an interesting selection of animals. Everything was clean and well maintained, and we enjoyed the visit. I was especially excited to see capybaras and meerkats. Personally, it was also fascinating to observe the visitors — many families with two or more children. The food was decent, but because of the strong wind and too many wasps outside, the experience was mixed. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a day with family.

Visited for my daughter’s birthday and it was great all round. The entire place is very well designed and in good condition. We tried food at a few of the outlets and all were good quality tasting food - not amazing but not the typical greasy nonsense you get. It’s good that you can walk around each area multiple times and in different directions so you really feel like you get the most out of your ticket. Price wise was good, about average and like I said there is plenty to do when inside. All the animals we saw looked happy, no concerns there.

A brilliant zoo, I would say one of the best we have visited. It was busy but we didn't feel it, its nicely spread out so you never feel crowded, it was also very clean and tidy. The staff were fantastic, even when doing something they were happy to answer questions on animals, they were all happy, friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. The animals all seemed happy and healthy with a lovely variety. As with all zoos it would be nice to see them with more space. The food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Nice to have the mix of animals, the dino trail and parks too. It is 3.5hours away from us but worth every minute in the car. Would 100% recommend

Great zoo, loved the red panda experience, keeper was very friendly and informative in answering any questions I had. Loved getting to see the two red pandas being introduced to each other. Got good views of the animals, some of the viewing windows were quite wet with condensation which blocked views but not much to be done about that. Lots of kids so was quite noisy but think I came in the school holidays. Only negative was one of the jaguars was pacing around a lot in its enclosure, hopefully it was just waiting for food or something like that and not stressed. Got Uber easily to/from the train station. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

A really good day out. I went with my sister and my two teenagers and we all thoroughly enjoyed our day. The theming, informative signs, viewing areas/platforms and eateries were very good. Of course the wonderful animals were the highlight and I can recommend attending the bird show! At the end of the day we even had a train ride around the dinosaur area for £2 each, which ended the day nicely.

A family favourite. My son was two when we went and he loved the dinosaurs section even though I was worried he was too young, there are some bits that are slightly gruesomely but you can quickly go past them. It’s good fun and you can then go to the zoo and look at the animals. It’s very well organised and clean. Limited option for food and as with any of these venues, it’s overpriced for the quality you get.

Hertfordshire Zoo is a fantastic family-friendly destination with a great variety of animals and interactive zones. The enclosures are well maintained , highlights include the lions, camels, and alpacas, all easy to view up close. The “World of Animals” and “Tumble Jungle” soft play area add extra fun for kids, with clearly scheduled play sessions. The zoo is clean, well signposted, and offers a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. A perfect day out for families with young children!

This is such an amazing park, for people living around it’s a bliss. It is such a large and lovely place. Large tress with water bodies running canals gives a wholesome feel of forest and countryside.

Amazing and beautiful park for walks with your dog. It has a lot to offer not only to pet owners but also to parents or anyone who enjoys nature 2h free parking included but remember to take a ticket even for free period. There are at least 2 cafe points there, these are a bit pricey but they have good coffee.

The park is our lifeline. The cafes are fantastic so as the people. I feel relaxed and overwhelmed with natural feelings. We also enjoy the fireworks every year. It’s a great experience.

I recently visited Cassiobury Park for the Bake Fest event, and it was a really lovely experience. The park itself is beautiful — spacious, green, and well looked after, with plenty of room to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. The Bake Fest was a real highlight: so many stalls with delicious baked goods, as cakes and pastries. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and it felt like a great community event. Cassiobury Park is already a great place to spend time, whether for a walk, picnic, or just to relax outdoors, and events like Bake Fest make it even more special. I’d definitely recommend visiting, especially when something like this is happening!

Amazing place! Its been many years since I was last there and its nice that more things have been added in that time. Went during the dark arts time and was fun to see the death eather preforming at different locations around the studio. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys Harry Potter! The lay out is brilliant and just getting to see how it was all made is amazing.

Where do I start! Absolutely amazing experience. A must visit for all the potter heads out there. Being a core fan of the book, the movie sets was truly a visual treat. I visited during the Dark Arts theme right after Halloween. The entire tour looked like a carefully planned adventure. The atmosphere felt do lively - kudos to the employees and the guides. A kind employee even took my picture (I was on a solo trip!). I saw the butter beer had mixed reviews. But I personally devoured it. It was refreshing after a long walk. Food was alright, not a fan of the unsalted fries. Some spaces did feel a bit rushed, specially people pushing and hovering around impatiently. Could see the kids engaging a lot with the sets. The photo booths are cute, however felt like a rip-off to have a poster print for £20! Considering the high turnaround rate, they could reduce the price. The broom videos looked a bit tacky but would be a fun try out for kids. Loved the small performance by the Death Eaters who kindly let us take pictures together! Cried myself through the pricey souvenirs, but the butter beer packs were a steal! For folks who can’t find the tickets during the holidays, keep checking every single day twice. I got mine on a random day check, and snagged it right away! They were kind enough to swap me to a different slot (which I found again), without additional charges! Overall worth every penny!

We had arranged a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio for our daughter’s birthday, as she’s crazy about Harry Potter. We were greeted by Menaka at the ticket collection counter. She was incredible!! 😃 Super friendly and charismatic in every way, and a true potterhead too! Our daughter was fully engaged in conversation with Menaka who shared all the wonderful things to look out for whilst on the tour. We gained tips on how to manage our time during the tour, which took 5 hours in total, including a break at the Butterbeer Bar. Menaka also gave our girl a birthday badge and several other goodies, which truly delighted her. We were amazed by the genuine kindness shown to make our daughter feel special 💓 We had arrived over an hour earlier than our scheduled tour time, so Menaka encouraged us to enjoy lunch in the Food Hall. We loved it! All dishes were very tasty and generous in portion, so we were fully prepared for the grand tour 🤩 As a birthday girl, our daughter was given the special privilege to open the door to Hogwarts! 🎉 From then on, the tour was outstanding. Spectacular sets, fun green screen experience and entertaining death eater performances. Beware of the Dementors and Acromantulas in the forbidden forest! 😨 Overall, a superb day out made extra special by all staff members, though Menaka was our favourite!! 🌟

Went on the small group tour. We were meant to skip queues but we didn't skip the queue we just skipped the bit we were going to see. But it was still worth it to get all the amazing little facts that the guide gave us. We went when it was hogwarts in winter. The food here is super expensive! You can take tour own food but i felt like it was part of the experience so just went with it. Remember to get your free passport so you can get your stamps as you go round 👍 The tour was 4hrs with a 1hr break. We went back in so in total spent 6hrs there and definitely could have spent longer. Take your time and make sure you make the most out of the full day.

We visited on a weekend, expecting it to be busy, but boy were we surprised at exactly how busy it was going to be. After a fair bit of queuing and somewhat rude security personnel at the bag check, we finally got through! The whole complex is huge and be prepared for a lot of time walking, standing and walking some more (reminded me of Disneyland) to get anywhere. However, it is really worth it once you can get over this and that is speaking as someone who isn't a huge HP fan. The work on display is amazing and the attention to detail so very impressive. The displays are well thought out, but do make sure you can stomach the high price of food and gifts!

I live in London, and visiting this city and this cathedral was one of the most beautiful experiences I had over the weekend. It was truly enjoyable. St Albans Cathedral is absolutely stunning — it feels like every wall and door has a story to tell, as if they’ve witnessed countless events over the centuries. The atmosphere is peaceful yet powerful, and walking through the cathedral felt like stepping into history. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves architecture, history, or simply beautiful places.

A magnificent architectural with loads of history and story. We visited in a weekday thus not crowded at all. You will be embraced by a deep sense of peace and afford to slow down to appreciate the view around you. Worth a visit together with the town.

The sheer scale of St Albans Cathedral, a structure of profound history and weight, provided the perfect canvas for the Poppy Fields light installation by Luxmuralis last night. It was more than an event; it was a deeply moving, sensory experience designed for quiet contemplation and remembrance. The massive, soaring architecture of the Nave, usually bathed in the soft glow of natural light or high electric lamps, was utterly transformed by darkness and vibrant digital projection.

This an absolutely stunning building dating originally from the Norman period but with additions over the centuries. The place was a pilgrimage site long before the Norman's arrived and the tomb of St Alban is still a pilgrimage site today. The cathedral possesses the longest nave of any cathedral in Britain and there are a number of medieval frescoes still visible; fascinating even if somewhat faded.

Being there you imagine that the place is nearly 1000!!!!! Years old. Some buildings were built from the Romans bricks. It is the oldest and one of the most significant church in England. This church saw everything. Besides that, town is beautiful, going there you should have enough time. It is hard to find the parking lot.

Absolutely enjoyed my visit. A stunning place that showcases its long history through a mix of architectural styles. I just loved every single detail, from the floor and columns to the ceiling.

What a beautiful house. Went for a guided tour, which was very informative and entertaining. It’s really worth it. Did a little walk around the gardens, which aren’t huge. But so nicely kept. I would revisit sometime as it’s a calm place to walk around. Nice cafe too. All staff are friendly and approachable.

Had a great day out here in the house and gardens. My only criticism was that the day we visited, the house was guided visits only - no mention of this when we booked. It was useful to hear about the history of the house, but we felt a bit rushed and not really able to fully look around each room.

Beautiful Tudor house, the stewards are very knowledgeable and approachable. Loving what they do. The family still live there, which gives the whole place a homely feel. The gardens are well kept . Great rock Festival exhibition with posters, soundtracks, and videos. Cafe offering good, well stocked, service area a bit confusing. Lots of picnicking space in grounds. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful historic home and grounds. The home itself is beautiful and guided tours available which we did and definitely worth it. Not that expensive. Lovely grounds and gardens, with a lot of walking to do if you so wish :) great on a lovely sunny day. Theres a dinosaur trail aswell which is great for kids and dino fans alike. Theres alsos a play park which i didnt directly go to but can see and its quite a large one. Lovely cafe with good food and drinks available including veggie options. Toilets were clean with nappy changing toilet available too.

We had an amazing day at Knebworth House! The historic home was absolutely fascinating—truly a magical place that’s stayed on my mind ever since 🤩. The kids’ activities were spot on, and both of my children had a fantastic time. The adventure playground was a definite highlight! I highly recommend visiting, especially for families with kids. We loved every moment ❤️

Excellent adventure playground for little ones. Outdoor obstacle course with swings, little houses, zip lines, A huge fort with towers and slides. Also some huge mat slides. Perfect for picnics - no picnics allowed in house gardens however you can around the adventure playground. Worth noting you can walk across the grounds to the house from the playground or vice versa however about 1.2k apart across bumpy grass so you may want to drive. The gardens around the house are not really buggy friendly apart from across the grass. Wilderness walk/trails where dinosaurs are is definitely not buggy friendly. Adventure playground has decent toilets/changing area and a small cafe operating out of a shipping container/shed. 10:30 opening time which wished it was a bit earlier especially with younger children. Grounds were lovely and had a great day out!

Perfect location for a weekend getaway. I visited during a kite festival and loved it! There’s parking available and plenty of hiking trails with stunning landscapes

Parking is £3.50 or free if you’re a National Trust member. Incredible views and walks, especially for dog walking. The main hill overlooks the London Gliding Club so it’s good fun to watch the tow planes taking off. Theres a dedicated area for kit flying too. There is a large national trust cafe and shop atop the hill, prices are not too bad and the shop stocks some lots of locally produced products (jam, honey, oil, chutneys).

Fantasitic views. I went with my mother in law and kids. We were able to use the wheelchair in case she cant walk. Fantastic service, they also have mobility scooters and small bikes for children under 5. I was surprise how well prepared the kiosk was.. There is possibility to use their overcoats, raincoats, warm blouses and wellies if u forgot but for lids only under 10... absolutely great idea... I noticed there are some activities going on and there was full list of things but i lost leaflet. We used main building for loo and its large and clean. We bougt second hand books !!! another great idea. It all looks really nicely run. All great! Views amazing. Was a bit windy but we enjoyed looking at gliding planes and it wax such fun. We are going back soon...

A nice place with a good scenic view for a day out, but the public toilets and café closed very early, around 5 pm. More concerning is the lack of public toilets, especially considering the needs of families, children, and younger visitors who often stay quite late. Quite disappointing, considering the management team's awareness of the fact that toilets are essential. Even though they shut the toilet doors at 5 pm, they could have implemented a payment system to allow the toilets to be used. I notice people are going to the loo behind the trees. Overall, a good place to visit, but considering the basic amenities, I suggest avoiding it, especially if you are travelling with small children.

Great place to visit ! Has a nice cafe with great lunch and breakfast menus along with tea and coffee options . Views from this place are amazing and also the walk on the paths are great too ! Parking seems reasonable too . Arrived around 1:30 pm and it was only £3 till 8 pm . It is pretty windy near the cafe but is a great place to fly kites which you can bring your own or buy from the cafe ( but expensive though cheapest one is £14) . Overall a great place to visit. Would definitely come again on a sunny day !!

Such a beautifully presented platter of delicious cheese and crackers which we thoroughly enjoyed with our cups of tea! Unfortunately however my partner being a 6’4 when used their loo, bumped his head as they have a low ceiling. Also, my partner had ordered another cup of tea that was served in another table which made him wait longer for his extra hot drink. As we explored in the field, we smelt a wonderful fresh fragrance of Lavender! It did not look as purple anymore as I am aware they were going to be harvested soon when we went on 07.08.25 However, the Sunflower field did not disappoint us as they were in their full bloom and most yellow. Nice day out! We love The Barn! Recommended. Be careful with your head at the loos though.

Visited Hitchin Lavender for the first time yesterday to pick our pumpkins for Halloween. We had a fantastic time. Despite the big crowds the pumpkin patch itself was full of loads of large and undamaged pumpkins, perfect for carving. The decorations were fun and well thought out. There was face painting, games and a clown present for the kids. It very aimed at families and children however me and my fiancée still had a great time as a couple. Both the cafes were busy but the staff were handling the queues quickly and politely, plus the pumpkin spiced latte and Halloween luxury hot chocolate were worth the wait as they were both delicious. I will definitely visit next summer as a result of how good it was for the Halloween season.

Absolutely 💯 beautiful experience. Wonderful atmosphere. Gorgeous place and definitely worth a visit. Our second visit and it’s better than the last. The Weather was hot ☀️ and nice 😊 All staff were nice and friendly. The Lavender Fields was vibrant with colour and the smells were amazing. Food was delicious 😋 and delightful. The lavender ice cream 🍦 was amazing. Lavender lemonade was delicious and very refreshing. Overall we had a fantastic experience. Everyone should visit Hitchin Lavender. I’ve come with my family from Manchester.

Hitchin Lavender is such a beautiful place to visit. The fields are stunning, filled with rows of vibrant lavender that make the perfect setting for a peaceful walk and lovely photos. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the scent of lavender everywhere is just amazing. The café is a nice touch too, offering tasty treats and drinks. We recently visited Hitchin Lavender Farm and had an absolutely amazing experience! The whole day felt like a perfect escape into nature — beautifully scenic, peaceful, and wonderfully pet-friendly. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning sea of purple stretching across the fields. The aroma of fresh lavender in the air was soothing, and the views were breathtaking — perfect for photos and for simply taking it all in. What made the visit even more special was that we brought our pet along — and they had a blast! Hitchin Lavender is genuinely welcoming to pets, and it showed. One of the biggest highlights was the pet ice cream available on-site. Our furry friend devoured it and couldn’t get enough! It’s such a thoughtful touch for animal lovers. We also tried the lavender ice cream ourselves — and wow! It was creamy, floral, and incredibly refreshing. A truly unique treat that we still talk about. The food options in general were lovely, with plenty of choices for snacks and drinks, and the outdoor seating made it easy to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Before we left, we couldn’t resist browsing the shop. We ended up buying several lavender products — from oils and soaps to beautifully packaged dried lavender. Everything smelled divine and made perfect gifts (and keepsakes for ourselves). Whether you’re coming for a peaceful walk, a family day out, or just to spoil your pet a little, Hitchin Lavender is 100% worth the visit. The most sweet and good operation zoo I ever been. Staffs are very nice and willing to talk more about the animals. They also show the animals not just for the guests but they also care and love them. I will donate to the otters and will back next time.

We had a truly wonderful time at Shepreth Wildlife Park today. We participated in the red panda experience and would highly recommend it to anyone. Lucy was simply excellent, providing such insightful information about these fascinating creatures.

Visited Shepreth for an otter experience with my wife. Liz did the experience with us, she is very knowledgeable about the animals and is genuinely happy to educate others about the animals and a joy to be around. We had a great time attending keeper talks and seeing the animals happy in a natural environment. Would definitely recommend a visit. Thanks Shepreth and Liz for a great day out!

Lovely little wildlife park. We headed down from Norfolk for the Otter Experience and it was a solid 10/10! Our guide Liz was fantastic - so passionate about her work and wildlife, she was so inspirational. We learned so much from her! These were memories that would last a lifetime. Thanks Liz, and everyone at Shepreth Wildlife Park.

The wildlife part is brilliant. Relatively small, but sufficient for a great time with toddlers! The cafe is shockingly bad (hence the low rating). I paid £4.10 for a cheese and tuna toastie that was more than empty. The quality of the food and drink is incredibly poor and expensive. Owls were very cool!

An amazing park, the staff clearly enjoy their roles and have a special bond with the animals. We went during Easter time and there was a game you could play via leaflet to try and win a small prize. There’s so much to see from capybaras, owls, alligators, insects, tigers and bunny’s (plus much more!). Highly recommend for all ages and groups. Even though it was Good Friday, there wasn’t a long wait to enter.

This English Heritage site is a decent home and gardens. The house doesn’t have tons to see - a few fairly empty rooms on the ground floor (library, drawing room, etc), a staircase, and 4-5 room exhibition. If you take the free wallpaper tour, it will take you upstairs to three rooms, and last around 30 minutes. Candidly I wasn’t sure about a wallpaper tour beforehand, but it was interesting and they provided extra tidbits about the room and family as well. However, there is not tons to see in the house otherwise - a few signs, and 15-20 minutes in the exhibition, which goes through the decor, sport, leisure, gardens, use in World War I, family, etc. Gardens: When we came, the main gardens were closed for high winds, so could only experience the smaller gardens closest to the house. Dairy sculpture garden: We also missed as wasn’t very well marked on signs. One room with a few sculptures nice to visit. (To access from the entrance, walk through the gardens nearest the house, and it’s on the opposite end/far side of the house.) Cafe has a nice selection of lunch and cakes, with options for both indoor and outdoor seating. Small shop with a few interesting options available. Kids play area looked well used. Parking is on grass outside the gate. Toilets clean though dated near the front. Single toilet also in the house.

I had a really enjoyable walk around the grounds, beautiful place to explore. Many different sights to see, nice woodlands, beautiful gardens and swans!! The house is large but the area you can explore is very small in comparison. They do have tours to explore the upstairs, next time I'm there i will try and check that out. The rooms you can see are beautiful. Staff are friendly, had a nice chat with a gentleman who explained the history of one of the rooms and where lots of the bits came from, very fascinating, thank you very much. Plenty of parking and clean toilets.

Really lovely day here. The grounds are fabulous with something around every corner. Amazing planted beds and conservatory. Enjoyed the round building at the end of the waterway and seeing the swans take off along the waterway. Great cafe with lots of choice, delicious cakes and tasty pastries. Very kind and helpful staff at every point. Good play area for the children too.

Such a lovely place, very dog and kid friendly! We really enjoyed the garden tour, and it’s great that there are a few different tours available each day of the week. You just need to get your free tickets from the shop. It was quite busy, but I’m blaming the perfect weather, school holidays, and the fact that we went on a Sunday. The volunteers were all so helpful and knowledgeable, which made the visit even better. Overall, we really liked it, a perfect day out with the family!

A charming house with large amounts of parkland, beautifully kept by English Heritage. The entrance fee for adults before any concessions is £22 but well worth it. Dogs welcome on leads. Bring your own sandwiches or use their cafe and you could easily spend the day here exploring the house and huge outdoor areas. I found all staff and the volunteers particularly charming (much more so than at some National Trust locations). Highly recommended.

As a proud member of English Heritage, I love exploring the many historic sites they care for — and with over 400 properties under their care, Wrest Park truly stands out as one of the gems! Wrest Park is a fantastic place to visit. The expansive grounds offer endless space to wander and take in the beautiful scenery. If you get tired, an electric buggy service is available to take you closer to the garden entrance — very handy! Just be sure to keep an eye out for it, as it’s constantly on the move and easy to miss. The staff were exceptionally friendly and well-informed, making the experience even more enjoyable. The house itself is stunning — steeped in history and filled with elegant, detailed rooms that feel like stepping back in time. With plenty of benches to rest on, peaceful surroundings, and a welcoming atmosphere, Wrest Park is an absolute must-visit for anyone in the area — especially if you’re an English Heritage member!

Nice place to spend a few hours and not too far from home. Went on a Monday in October so was a bit misty and damp, but quiet . Had a look around the house and grounds, then popped into cafe, which was very busy. Nice selection of cakes.

This is a fantastic place to visit the Abbey has so much to see you will need to spend some time trying to take it all in. The gardens are well worth making sure you get all areas in. Picnic areas and tables dotted about for use some with shade. Toilets at various points around the site.

The gardens and deer park are lovely. I have not visited the Abbey itself yet but if you want a place to get in a walk and wonderful gardens it is great. The maze is interesting and there are several different picturesque spots throughout the garden area. The pottery and café are lovely also.

The gardens are beautiful and well worth a look. It has public toilets and a lovely little gift shop. You can picnic anywhere in the gardens. If you are disabled your carer goes free and your ticket is reduced to nearly half. They have wheelchair hire and mobility scooters for hire which help greatly. I hope this is helpful ☺

A great place to visit. The house is full of historical wonders and the staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. The gardens are glorious on a summer's day, and full of great photo opportunities. The tea house is a nice place to have lunch and reasonably priced.

Absolutely LOVED IT!!! amazing place for families, for couples for everyone I guess. Abbey is at centre of Deer park with couple of ponds which adds so much beautiful views all around. Unfortunately I cannot able to see the inside view of Abbey due to refurbishment take place and it will be back for public in 2021. You can have a very good walk in the park as well as the Woburn Old Town just meters away from this place. Also, when you drive into this park you fell like Richmond park in London. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic afternoon tea (delicious vegan and gf vegan options available) but you need to prebook your dietary requirement. On booking staff were exceptionally friendly and immediately understood vegan and GF vegan requirements. allow yourself extra time (c20mins) to get there on time as you need to check in at main gate and then drive the 2-3 miles to the house and garden entrance. tea rooms were lovely as was the impressive grounds and gardens. i happily would return with the kids for a picnic and maybe next time would take a look inside the Abbey (add on cost).

This is a beautiful place to visit, it hasn't changed much since i came here as a child. It has public toilets and a cafè and beautiful gardens to walk round. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Aqua Sana Spa Review Aqua Sana really impressed us. The sauna and steam room areas are absolutely top-tier — some of the best we’ve experienced. Treatments were high quality, and the setting was beautiful throughout, especially the seating and relaxation areas. It’s definitely a more premium experience, with the day costing £189 each and including an à la carte lunch (which was excellent). The location was perfect, and there’s a lot of variety in the spa zones. Only downsides: you don’t get slippers or a tote, which felt like a small miss at this price point. But that aside, we loved every minute — it’s a full-on spa experience, and well worth it for a treat.

We had the three hour spa experience. The ladies on the front desk were very helpful and welcoming. The changing area is large and has lot of privacy areas. It was clean and the showers well stocked. This Aqua Sana was smaller than others I have visited and I found that most of the different sections were just the same rooms with different decorations. Most sections all had a rain walk, sauna, steam room with the exception of an ice room in one and meditation spaces. The infinity pool was rather small and the massage taps were on a timer so you had to wait for them to turn on and then everyone would rush to get under them. The foot spa had 7/8 foot spas but unfortunately 3 of them were not working during my visit. The shop in reception is very expensive with no prices on the products. I bought two nail polishes and thought it would be around £20 but it was actually £37 meaning they were £18.50 each. Unfortunately upon using them at home they are not very good and definitely not worth the price. Overall of course it was a lovely and relaxing experience but I found that it unfortunately falls short of the other Aqua Sana visits that I have. I am unlikely to return purely because I have had much nicer experiences at Elveden Aqua Sana for instance.

Only ever visited as a Spa day guest before but decided to make it a break this time with my best friend and we are so glad we did. It was an absolutely amazing stay! It was fantastic value for money considering all that was included and we were blown away by the spa suite. The massage that's included was incredible as well. We have decided we will be making this a yearly tradition as we loved it so much!

Beautiful spa with plenty of different experience rooms, aromas, sensations and relaxing vibes all round! We had booked a Forest Spa Day with arrival from 10am staying until 5pm, with Buddha bowl and fresh juice for lunch included. Location is great and easy to get to - from having visited another Aqua Sana where you have to park in the main CenterParcs car park, this in comparison was a breeze as the car park is outside the Hotel within which Aqua Sana is situated. Would definitely go again and recommend for a full on relaxing day!

Wonderful spa even if on the pricey side. We looked one of the day spa experiences & booked the mind body soul massage which was incredible, would definitely recommend that massage. The lady was so accommodating also as I have long covid & muscle pain so she was super gentle which was appreciated. The spa rooms are excellent, if you like saunas then this is where you need to go. They vary in heat also which is good. Although we couldn't do the heat & cold experience as cold wasnt working which was a shame. Service is great and the food is also really good. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking to treat yourself.

Have visited the spa many times here and always a favourite. There are many experiences here that help you feel really relaxed and refreshed. The outdoor pool in the forest is really lovely in the evening under the stars, amongst the trees which gives a truly relaxing feel in another world!

I left Aqua Sauna Woburn feeling horrified, not relaxed. What should have been a calm spa day with my friend turned into one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a “wellness” facility. The pool was closed for a large part of our visit, one steam room didn’t even work (no steam, just a horrible smell), and the ice room was completely out of order. That alone was disappointing — but what I discovered in the showers was beyond unacceptable. When I looked up, the ceiling above me was covered in mould. Not a small patch, but visible growth everywhere. In a spa, where people go specifically for health and wellbeing, this is absolutely shocking and dangerous. The shower didn’t drain properly, and I had to stand in other people’s hair while using it. It was vile. I raised my concerns with the receptionist (Mica), but instead of taking them seriously she was dismissive and contradictory. First she claimed she didn’t know about the mould, then admitted the ceiling gets painted weekly and “cleaned daily.” So which is it? Either way, the mould is clearly a long-standing issue that they are trying to cover up. By the time I left, I felt so anxious about the hygiene standards that I was physically sick when I got home. For a place that charges premium prices and promotes itself as a luxury spa, Aqua Sauna Woburn is failing its customers in the most basic way: health and safety. I expect to be contacted directly by management regarding this matter. If I do not receive a response, I will have no choice but to escalate this to Environmental Health and Trading Standards, as the level of mould and poor hygiene I witnessed is a genuine health hazard!

We've been to Wimpole Hall and Farm many times over recent years but we have not been inside the house for some time. What a treasure it is! Forgot what a beautiful stately home it was inside and out plus also the connection to Rudyard Kipling is notable and not something I recall before. Entry ticket now includes the Home Farm (previously was an additional charge) which we didn't get time to visit but it's well worth it. They have also in recent years improved the car park and make it more accessible for less abled visitors.The grounds are large too so you can easily spend the full day there if needed.

Beautiful grounds, walked for hours. Fantastic walled garden. Cute tiny baby piglets! Cafes for coffees and snacks. Stunning collection of trees, herbs, flowers. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely day out. Almost spoilt by the staff wanting to kick us out of the manor because it was almost time to lock up. That's for a different day if I visit again and it's the same. The manor is beautiful, with exquisite rooms and a gorgeous library. The grounds are remarkable. The amount of money it would have needed for upkeep alone is mind blowing. The cafe was a little under stocked, but the restaurant just a stones throw away made up for that. Nothing beats ab ice cold drink or ice cream on a British summer day 🙂 I took my family (8yo and wife) along with our friends (13yo, 9yo, and the parents). We enjoyed our 5 hour visit, walking everywhere from the woods, to the farm, and then to the manor. The farm is a working farm with historic buildings which are very imposing. I loved them. It was worth having our National Trust membership. Ample parking, and parking for parents + disability needs. A clean well looked after site which I wouldn't mind visiting again.

The building is quite grand and the interior decoration is beautiful. It takes about half an hour to tour the entire building. If this National Trust attraction only had this building, it would feel rather monotonous. However, since it originally provided a garden and form, you can spend a whole day here, so it is also a place worth visiting as a combination. You will often see families playing in the attraction. In addition, the vast garden also provides children's play facilities. In my opinion, compared with the National Trust attractions I have visited, the facilities here are very rich and sufficient.

I loved every bit of it. We covered everything in 2:30 hours but that was a bit of rush. I could have spend the whole day here. It's the best one I visited by far. I am definitely visiting again with plenty of time in my hand. Play area, Farm animals, house and walled garden - oh my god they all are worth seeing. I was also lucky to have the best weather too on the day however I would visit again regardless of weather anytime soon.

An amazing place to visit. The house is just so well preserved and presented. The grounds and gardens are a true pleasure to walk around. I especially enjoyed pig feeding time.

We really enjoyed are trip to the Wimpole estate, we walked around the extensive grounds and visited the old folly on the hill, really worth a basing and lunch was good at the coffee shop as per other national trust locations.

We attended the chili tour and tasting and had a brilliant time! The experience was filled with information and great stories as well as a wide range of chili plants. The tasting was amazing, again with a wide range of products and fresh chili's. Definitely recommend and hope to come back whenever in the area again.

Wonderful experience, sauce and chilli tasting and afternoon tea. Passionate about their work and delicious food largely grown in their own gardens and fields. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes a bit of heat and is interested in different flavours of chilli

Had a fantastic time on the ‘Cooking with chillies made simple’ workshop. The owners were very knowledgeable, open and friendly. There was plenty to do on the workshop and we had a lovely day out. All in all great experience and I learned a lot. They also sell chilli plants and sauces on site which is really handy, including their own home grown sauces from their own chilli harvest. I only wish I turned up sooner so I could relax in the café, not to worry as I’ll definitely be revisiting at some point.

🌶️ Chilli Ranch – A Must-Visit Hidden Gem! 🌶️ Had an incredible experience here! The tour was absolutely fascinating – our guide was super informative, passionate, and engaging throughout. I learned so much about different chilli varieties and how they’re grown. The tasting session was the real highlight though – so many amazing flavours and unique combinations to try. Everything was really well organised and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly, highly recommend visiting – it’s a fantastic day out and a real treat for foodies! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sean was very entertaining, giving superb knowledge all the way through the tour. Joanna was a great host. Now the chilli’s. Look great taste great and can’t wait to make my own sauces.

Loved it from beginning to end, deserves more than 5 stars ! Went on the chilli tasting tour for two. Shaun the owner gave us a very informative talk on how to grow chillies from seed, then we had a tour of the farm and picked our own chillies. After that we went into their shop, tried their huge range of sauces followed by chilli tasting, from mild to hottest in the world! After that we had some amazing food in the restaurant. Definitely going back.

Visited the Chilli Farm for afternoon tea and a tour of the chilli farm. Overall it was a great experience. Joanna who is the owner of the farm and our guide for the tour was really informative and has a real passion for chillies. After a short talk about the various variety of chillies, we had a sampling session in the cafe of various chillies, chilli sauces and marmalades, starting from the mildest up to the hottest…the Carolina Reaper! There was plenty of milk on hand should you need it! Afternoon tea was lovely, a variety of sandwiches all made with various chilli based sauces and marmalades. Would certainly recommend for an afternoon out.

We travelled 2 hours to skydive and for £50 we both only got 1 minute flying time, £25 each a minute - equivalent to £1,500 an hour! What a rip off. We were offered more flights for an additional £12 per minute. Staff were fun, but can't afford to do that again.

Awesome time here with the kids who did the indoor surfing. Only 5 people in total in the 1 hour session so they got lots of time on the waves and lots of 1 on 1 instruction. Well worth the visit, would definitely take them back.

Boys did indoor sky diving and loved it. For £12 we brought a usb wrist band of their flight.Their instructor was Dave he was very friendly and happy which helped the boys to relax and enjoy the day. Food was quiet expensive but they had a good range to eat in the cafe which overlooks the surf experience.

Went to use the spa and swim this morning very disappointed ,sauna and jacuzzi wasn't working. Didn't know I had to press a button hard for the steam room to work. So missed out on that as well. And the shower as soon as you let go of the button it stops. So had to wash with one hand or another part of your body to get a shower. On the upside the lady on reception was helpful. Pool opened at 9.00 am price £12 Would I go again no.

My grandson was booked in for the indoor skydiving, but unfortunately when we arrived we were informed that due to an electrical failure the wind tunnel was out of action and they had tried to contact everyone to let them know. Alternatively, we were offered other activities available today or rebooking for another time. As we were there and my grandson was keen to do something, we opted for the Archery and Shooting range which wouldn't be everyone's choice for a 10yr old, but he was so excited! We had a lovely instructor, can't quite remember his name, but he was a credit to the company. He explained everything in detail, he was patient, friendly, encouraging, funny and very safety conscious. My grandson absolutely loved it and was a pretty good shot for his age. I would thoroughly recommend it, all the staff that dealt with us today, were friendly, helpful and seemed happy in there work. I would definitely return, plus there is excellent free parking facilities.

Fantastic fun for the whole family! Me and my daughter went to sky dive and husband opt out for a wave experience. Great instructors, professional approach as well as full of banter. I had such a great time here.

My 12 year old step son had a blast in the sky diving experience! Instructor was super nice and all and all a great experience.

We had a fantastic day out at Hamerton Zoo and Park! The zoo itself is beautifully kept. It had spotless pathways, clean enclosures, and a real sense that the animals are well cared for. It’s a lovely place to explore and perfect for families looking for a relaxed, nature filled outing. One of the absolute highlights for us was the Dinosaur Express Train Ride, it was such a fun and unique experience! The train takes you on a gentle ride past life-sized dinosaur models, which were a huge hit with the kids and surprisingly impressive for the adults too. A definite must do if you’re visiting! All of the staff we encountered throughout the park were polite and welcoming, and the whole place had a calm, friendly atmosphere. On a less positive note, I purchased a souvenir mug for my husband at the end of the visit. Unfortunately, there were no boxes available, so I asked for it to be wrapped to prevent any damage on our way home. The gentleman who served us was very helpful and more than happy to assist. However, the female staff member who was also present was quite unpleasant. She rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and returned with the mug wrapped in a single sheet of kitchen towel, which felt a bit dismissive and unprofessional, especially considering it was a fragile item. Despite that small disappointment, our overall experience at Hamerton Zoo and Park was really enjoyable, and I’d still highly recommend a visit. It’s a wonderful day out for all ages, with great attractions, lovely animals, and mostly excellent staff.

Always loved Hamerton Zoo. Used to visit a lot with my children now have purchased season ticket to take grandson. Not too far for us so can go regularly. Love the bird house and nice to see the improvements over the years with lots undercover. Nice enclosures. Play park vastly improved. Large cat area still being updated. Cafe whilst improved facilities is seriously lacking. Food pretty awful but coffee and cake fine. Missing a trick I think as some good healthy food choices & a range of cakes would be far better. Didn't see any baby food options. Gift shop looks OK but at the end of the day am going to see the animals so its a fab day out!

Massive area, plenty to see. A range of animals that are clearly taken care of. This can be seen with nails, fur, food it is individual care for each animal. Staff are very busy which shows their priority. Unfortunately not many big cats, 2 Tigers and 1 Cheetah. There is a big child's play area which is sublime. The food was limited and VERY difficult for Gluten Free Diet. Which needs to be changed. The animals liek Gabons and Lemurs need more space. The floor area was pristine tidy!! Great job team. No one seen smoking. There was Vapes

BEST Zoo i’ve attended. It brought me back to childhood. I cannot express how thoroughly i enjoyed the vast amount of animals, the expansive nature of the zoo park is great for a full days worth of fun! We came during the October half term and did not feel overwhelmed with people because there is a great amount of space, easy parking, large spacious bathrooms that were cleaned throughout the day. I cannot say a bad word. The cafe serve tasty hot meals, quick to arrive and reasonably priced. The cafe was a squeeze however, we attended during the lunch time rush, there is outdoor seating if you can brave the cold. Hot drinks and cakes also available. I feel Hamerton zoo park is brilliant for all ages- my daughter fell in love with the amazing playground with a zip line, high climbing frame and interesting cube maze that was fun and challenging. We will certainly be back with more family in the Summer.

We had a good day. There was plenty to do but they need better signage to indicate where the train tickets are sold. The train was good for younger children. Lots of animals although we couldn't see that many. Maybe it was too hot and a lot were sheltering from the sun. Adventure playground very good for all ages.

Really good zoo! Had such a good variety of animals. We went on a day where it rained a little and a lot of the main walk ways have shelter which was ideal. Pushchair friendly. We loved seeing the animals and we loved the train ride that you can pay extra to go on. The play area for kids was incredible. Never seen anything like it. Perfect for little kids and older kids. Will deffo be back.

Brilliant place. Big enough for a day out, small enough to get around again if somethings not out. Some very unusual zoo based critters, we say around 6 or 7 we've never seen before. For example wombats, ardwolves, dingos, brown hyenas Really kid friendly, play areas are very good. Very wheel chair and mobility scooter friendly. It"s clearly a zoo that's growing, the animals look really happy and breeding. Can't wait to keep visiting and see whose next to arrive. Cafe is limited for gluten free, but you can get a jacket, chips and I think the burger or 1 of the hotdogs.
