Such a beautiful place with sweeping views of the surrounding valleys and the delta, makes you feel like you are somewhere in Scotland. We went in mid November and had the place to ourselves.
Dasha E — Google review
Great place to visit for the view, the museum inside is not great , a lot of photos of the surroundings and a few actual vestiges. A small souvenir shop with magnets and some spoons but that's it, you pay the tax there as well , 10 lei for adults , 5 lei for children over 7. At the base there is a food truck with snacks but nothing made fresh. Overall a nice place to visit for a walk if you're in the area.
EffTee — Google review
The view is beautiful and the fortress is interesting, even though not so much is remaining of it. The tower part was reconstructed after it fell down and the access to it is now restricted and the "balcony" can't be visited. There is also a very very small museum with some pieces of old pots and a lot of books and posters. It is worth only for the view alone as the price is close to free. I would recommend it for a short hike and beautiful views.
Sebastian B — Google review
The Fortress offers a beautiful view over the Razim Lake and Delta. It is easy to find it and the entrance price is very small - 10 lei per adult. There is a small parking lot close to the entrance, it takes 5 minutes to reach the top from that parking lot.
Alina M — Google review
You can find the ruins of the citadel, enjoy the view from the top of the hill overlooking the grand 360' landscape and feel the wind almost sweping you away
Monica C — Google review
It's a ruin in the middle of nowhere. Is it worth a detour? No. Nice to see but not worth the detour. Nice to wander a bit, great views, combines well with other destinations in the area.

An old turkish moscue, dated around 1600 ad, located in downtown Babadag's village.
Cezar N — Google review
De building itself is beautiful but beware of the people around it. Someone came to ask for money because we "visited" the mosque (just looked from outside). When we refused to pay he just spit on our car. The only time in Romania we encountered someone like this.
Sam S — Google review
Some turkish workers asked to buy them a juice, so they will let us visit it but nobody opened the mosque.
Mircea M — Google review
The mosque is beautiful. We were able to go inside the courtyard but there was nobody in sight we had no option of calling anyone in order to gain entrance to the museum or the mosque.
Solomon B — Google review
The view of the mosque is from Hotel Pramac balcony room no.11.
Istvàn M — Google review
A potentially interesting site that was locked closed in the morning. On returning in the afternoon it was possible to enter the grounds but sadly there was no information to give a visitor any insight into the history of the mosque and it was not possible to enter.
David L — Google review
Very nice guide, we were inside and he called to another guide and he gived us some materials about this place.
Soňa P — Google review
The mosque is located close to the city hall. The building is well maintained and it's surrounded by a nice garden.

This an impresive monastery. Its soroundings are very calm and beautiful. The church is massive and everything seems to be kept in strict order. You can also go for a picnic somewhere near the monastery. As far as I konow they can offer some accomodation if needed.

Not so great view. Clean.
Gabriel B — Google review
Cozy and quiet place with a nice garden. Being far from the city there are not so many tourists, but no shops or anything either so be sure to bring your own water and food. The view from up top is nice and the monastery interior is also nice but apart from that there is really not much to do here.
Rareş-Andrei M — Google review
Incredible ! You must visit this monastery and maybe have a little walk in the forest behind and listen to the birds and forest and maybe you can ask God your wishes. Please do not throw garbage in the forest. Maybe you should help clean the forest too.
Ionut P — Google review
Amazing place!! If you are looking for peace and quiet, a perfect place for introspection, this is it! Here, nature meets the Holly Spirit!! Amazing for one day visit or for more. The nuns, here, have special rooms for guests. Beautifull!!

The place it self is amazing, clean, green, pacefull, ready to be explored...just be careful how you spend money there because some of the ,,inhabitants " like to profit on people badly, even if they are in ,,work of god" i did live there for one year and i saw the true face...but i say again, the place deserve to be visited, just be aware of nuns some of them are not what they seems

Corbu Beach is a widely popular public beach known for its vastness and ideal conditions for kitesurfing. It is surrounded by untamed vegetation which harbors an outdoor bar that serves visitors. The beach boasts of abundant marine life and shells, making it an exciting experience for nature lovers. Despite the poor condition of the road leading to the beach, tourists are drawn to its natural appeal and soothing ambiance.
One of the most beautiful and serene beaches in Romania, if you go there during week days, chances are you’ll benefit from wonders of nature, with little touch of humans.
Andreea R — Google review
A wild beach, full of shells. The road to the beach is pretty bad, only two terraces that have high prices. It should be taken into account to have an umbrella, sun lounger, food and drinks. Parking available for 20 ron ticket and two ecological toilets.
Liliana P — Google review
It was nice it was quiet and there was room to move around. If you want a place with a beautiful scenery and natural without renting an umbrella and chair this is it. They have restaurants as well as convenience stores. Also places were you can camp out if you want. This is the spot for me. I love the fact that I don't have to be forced to sit next to someone who feels uncomfortable next to me and I can actually go to the water and not worry if my belongs will be there when I return. This is rare..
Forch W — Google review
One of the nicest wild beaches in Romanian Black Sea coast. It is almost virgin so there are no music or eating places near. Can be lovely for your family or pet. Bring your own food and drinks as there are some taverns close but it is better to be safe.
Robert C — Google review
What an amazing experience... The beach is wild, full of shells and marine life. We were lucky enough to be there when there was almost no one on the beach. Felt like a piece of heaven. Only the wind and the waves. The road there is quite bad but it was worth it.
Adriana B — Google review
Some company has the place and you have to pay the car 10lei and the tent 20 lei per day. There is no bathrooms, no shower. You can take wather from the only restorant that have very high prices. There is no shade, the only trees are small and full with human waste and garbage. If you are not careful your car will get stuck in the sand. But the beach is nice an in the water are parts with small wather and then goes to your sholder and then up again.
Ina C — Google review
We went on a Monday at the end of August and the beach was not very crowded. The road there is not in best shape, but only for aprox 2-3 km. Worth visiting if you are looking for a quiet place
Adina C — Google review
Nice and little bit wild. Without construction on the beach or other facilities. There are some terraces and small restaurants near by. Good for relaxing day with family or friends. No lifeguard surveillance. Be very careful about sea activities.

The Casino of Constanța

Architectural Buildings
The Casino of Constanța is a historic Art Nouveau-style villa located along a seafront promenade. Built in 1909, it was initially intended to reflect Romanian architectural traditions but underwent a change in design by a French architect, resulting in its Art Nouveau style. Over the years, the casino served various purposes including as a theater, ballroom, leisure spot, and even as a hospital during World War I.
Such an amazing location and historical place to visit, highly recommend it, we had an amazing time and had a family group of varied ages from 7 to 50+ years, we all found different interesting exhibits and sections. The renovation is breathtaking and we managed to visit in a sunnier day in September and the light flowing through the stained glass windows was beautiful. We loved the interactive exhibits and that it wasn't very crowded being in extra season.
Alexandra — Google review
I love this place. It was my favourite place to visit even before its restoration. I loved to go down the stairs and listen to the sound of water. Now, that was brought back “to life” I come with more pleasure than before. Even though the stairs are no longer open for public. The entrance is a bit expensive - 53 ron, but to keep this gem in good condition I think worth the price. When I entered I was speechless. The casino itself is a work of art. The warm colors of the walls are giving a very welcoming feeling. The overall experience was very pleasant and I am happy I visited.
Andreea D — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful Art Nuveau buildings in Europe that has been recently renovated and is now open to the public. The architecture and interior design is breathtakingly beautiful with all original details restored to perfection. The building is situated in a lovely spot with great vista over the Black Sea and plenty of walking and dining choices alongside the promenade. The entry is best done online where you can book a timeslot and helps with planning your visit particularly during busy holiday periods but walk in tickets are available too.
Daniela S — Google review
Constanța Casino – A Must-See Landmark The Constanța Casino is absolutely stunning! Perched right on the Black Sea, it offers breathtaking views and a fascinating glimpse into Romania’s history. Even though the building is currently being restored, its Art Nouveau architecture and elegant details are unforgettable. Walking along the seafront promenade and seeing the waves crash beside this iconic monument is a magical experience. Whether you’re into photography, history, or simply love beautiful scenery, the Constanța Casino is a must-visit when exploring the city.
Bou B — Google review
An absolute must see for anyone in the region. A breathtaking architectural, acoustic, visual and educative experience. The exhibitions inside were a great plus. Highly recommended!
Calin A — Google review
The Casino of Constanța is one of the most iconic landmarks on the Romanian seaside and absolutely worth a visit. The architecture is stunning — a true Art Nouveau jewel perched right on the Black Sea promenade. The views are spectacular at any time of day, but especially at sunset when the building glows in golden light and the waves crash against the rocks below. Inside, you can feel the history of the place. After many years of decay, the restoration finally brought back its charm, with stained glass, ornate details, and elegant halls. There are also exhibitions and multimedia installations that tell the story of the Casino and Constanța’s past, which makes the visit both cultural and emotional. That said, not everything is perfect yet. Some areas remain closed, and at times the schedule feels limited. The entrance fee can feel a bit high compared to how much of the building you can actually explore. Around the promenade there are still fences and signs of ongoing work. Overall though, this place is the symbol of Constanța. Even if you only admire it from outside, it’s unforgettable. The combination of architecture, sea views, and history make it a must-see. Come with the right expectations — this is no longer a gambling casino, but a beautifully restored cultural landmark that tells its own dramatic story.
Dani V — Google review
I visited the casino yesterday, on a weekday. It wasn't very crowded. It's worth every penny, it's been beautifully renovated. I was amazed by its beauty. What should be considered though would be a security check at the entrance, as is the case in every tourist attraction outside the country.
Melissa S — Google review
The Constanța Casino is a stunning Art Nouveau building with a rich history, situated on the Black Sea coast in Romania. I recently visited the Constanța Casino, and I was blown away by its intricate details and historical significance. This iconic building has been beautifully restored to its former glory, showcasing its stunning Art Nouveau design. Although it's not operational as a casino, the building still offers a glimpse into its glorious past. The Constanța Casino is a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you're an architecture buff, history enthusiast, or simply looking for a fascinating spot to explore, this casino is a must-visit destination.

If you're looking for a picturesque dining experience, Muse Restaurant at Tomis Touristic Port is a must-visit. With its stunning views of the harbor and the twinkling Marine Commandant Panoramic Wheel, it's an ideal spot to enjoy a delicious meal or evening drink. After your meal, take a leisurely stroll towards Plaja Modern or head in the opposite direction to explore the historic Casino promenade, which beautifully merges history with the tranquil allure of the Black Sea.
We had an amazing time in the port. The ride on the sea was great. The price was reasonable. 30 lei / person. You could pay by cash or card. The ride was smooth and in just 30 minutes you could go pretty far. Also life vests were given to you on board.

Not bad could use some TLC!!! Great spot to look out at the Black Sea and seems to be not overly crowded. They should setup some volleyball there is so much space to do it!

I took a pirate themed boat ride at this port of Black Sea, Constana city. This city is one of the oldest city of Romania. Cost for the boat ride was 30 Lei. I throughly enjoyed the boat ride as it was wobbling with the waves in the sea. The port is quite beautiful and there are many restaurants as well alongside the port.

(Translated by Google) Clean, not very crowded (maybe only on weekends a bit more crowded), sunbeds ok, the guys at the bar and at the sunbeds are super kind, they do everything they can to make you feel good. Extremely polite, with a lot of common sense, helpful and fair. Tax receipt for each sunbed and for everything you consume at the beach bar. They have an absolutely beastly mint lemonade. They don't have the music, which I love as much as the people here and the absolutely gorgeous place. I prefer to listen to what I bring from home with headphones, so it's perfect. Easy access, possibility of parking nearby. Amazing, but there were trash cans on the beach and toilets!!! Lifeguard right next to them. Save space on the shore for emergency interventions. Generous area for towels, with super ok sand. I will come back with love. Acces ușor, posibilitate de parcare in apropiere.

The Great Mosque of Constanța

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
The Great Mosque of Constanța, also known as the Carol Mosque, is a significant religious and architectural site in Romania. Situated near other historical landmarks, this beautiful mosque was built between 1910 and 1913 at the initiative of King Carol. It replaced the former Mahmudiye Mosque from the Ottoman era and showcases a stunning blend of Byzantine, Islamic, and Ottoman architectural styles.
The Great Mosque of Constanța is a stunning and historic landmark. The interior is beautifully organized and exceptionally clean. Entry costs just 4 lei, and climbing the 149 steps to the top of the minaret (298 total, up and down) is well worth it. The panoramic views of Constanțan and the Black Sea are breathtaking — especially on a clear day. Be careful if it’s windy, though — it feels like your phone could fly away! Overall, it was a fun and memorable experience. I loved it.

A beautiful masque located in most famous area in constanta and it was built at 1912 by king carol. Its open for Muslim to pray inside and also any one can buy a ticket and go up till the top of minaret there is stunning view for the city and you can take alot of nice picture.

We were able to visit the mosque and to climb the tower, for 6 lei each (adult price). Many steep stairs deliver the reward of great views.
David S — Google review
It is located in the the heart of beautiful city Constanta. During our river cruise we came here for walking tour. As we passed by this mosque we wanted to see it from inside but the doors were closed. It is also popularly known as Grand Mosque of Constanta. It was built by King carol I in 1912 for Turkish community. It was a beautiful piece of architecture.
Balkrishna S — Google review
The Great Mosque of Constanța, a historic landmark, blends Romanesque Revival, Byzantine, and Egyptian architectural styles. Commissioned by King Carol I in 1910, it's the largest mosque in Romania and a symbol of religious tolerance. Located near the city center, it's easily accessible and offers stunning city views from its minaret. Inside, visitors can admire the intricate details, the grand prayer hall, and the beautiful carpets. A must-visit for those interested in history and architecture.
Kenneth B — Google review
Good place to visit with or without kids, 150 steps till the top of the tower, nice view from therw.
Marina I — Google review
A beautiful landmark of the Old Constanta Town - with many memories from childhood and teenage years. It adds to the colorfulness of the city. A piece of history that everyone should visit - and go up the legendary tower.
Adrian P — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking! I am so happy I visited this mosque. It was not too busy and by the time I reached the top I found myself alone in the tower. This was wonderful because I could take my time and enjoy the views at leisure. The stairs are quite steep and it is difficult to move if there is someone going the opposite direction. Also in a bit of need of some renovation. Anyway, besides the point. Simply being able to enjoy the views of the sea, the port, and the city, is certainly worth it. Highly recommend it! Entrance is only 5 Ron.

Museums
The Museum of National History and Archaeology, located in a grand historic building, is a major tourist attraction in Constanta. It houses an extensive collection of over 430,000 archaeological and numismatic artifacts dating from the Paleolithic era to modern times. The museum showcases Roman, Byzantine, Greek, and medieval artifacts such as stone tools, bronze weapons, ceramics, ancient architectural elements like columns and friezes.
The museum invited guests at the period for the events that reserved the class for the Christmas spectacle, the Easter or new activities across the years. I was soon at the spectacle there, with children singing about our great poet, Mihai Eminescu.
Doina F — Google review
Even though the museum is temporarily closed for renovations, it’s still worth a visit for its impressive exterior. Located in Ovidiu Square, right in the heart of the old town, the building has a grand, early 20th-century design with beautiful arches and intricate details. There are tombs and ruins outside But not in the best state of conservation
Daniel L — Google review
I was in this museum before it was closed for renovation. I hope it will be really cleaned up (as well as modernize the exposition inside the museum), because the building is beautiful, historical, but urgently needs renovation. About impressions, I liked it, but in contrast to other museums in Europe, it felt like it needed renovation

A nice museum give you great idea about Romania history and include alot of precious statues and rare antiques. Also story about the modern time of romania and the period of ceausescu. For sure you must visit if you come to constanta.

It was sad to see they had photoshootings and closed part of the exhibition during visiting hours with no prior notice. Looks like they lack funds for proper displays, lighting, etc, such a shame because every exhibit is mesmerising. Also there's no AC system in the building, only a few units in every other room, be careful and stay hydrated if you go in the summer months.

Had a rushed visit due to time constraints, however a proper tour would take atleast an hour or more. Very ancient artefacts relating to the lift around Constanta, must visit.

A place to visit, discover, think of and enjoy not for one day. From the very start of Tomis. Great much information. With great thanks to those, who established. I visited this museum three times. And today I enjoyed the exhibition of works of mosaics too. Opened recently. Great! The works and creations to be watched and admired once more and more. The icons, images and pictures ( May be, not just pictures, but very interesting and beautiful. Greatest thanks for those, who created all these wonders and organized it. Thanks to museum I deepened my knowledge in a lot of things and points. I deepened my knowledge of history of ancient world, of how people lived and travelled... And, the best 4,5 or 6D travells will never sibstitute the real one. And, still, in front of my eyes are images If Jesus Christ, Our Lady, Saints and Angels made of mosaics... Great, profound, educative and accomplished! Greatest thanks to all those who established this museum, enriches it and takes care of! contributed to and keep the museum. GREAT!!!!!

The Dolphinarium of Constanța is a must-visit attraction for visitors of all ages. It is one of the largest dolphinariums in Europe and offers an unforgettable experience by the picturesque shores of the Black Sea. The complex includes dolphin and sea lion shows, as well as interactions with penguins and exotic birds. Inaugurated in 1972, it is the first dolphinarium in South-Eastern Europe.
Had the best experience seeing the dolphins. Been visiting with the family and we stopped for a marvellous show. Kids enjoyed a lot the show. I suggest to buy the tickets online together with the parking option so you won't get disappointed that you can't get inside in the parking lot. If you're coming without car you can buy tickets from the ticket office and the queues aren't so big. Anyway it is must see if your around the area.

Forget Disneyland, the Dolphinarium of Constanta is the happiest place on earth! 😄 The show itself can be described as 25 minutes of pure joy. The 5 dolphins are magnificent and the bond that they share with their trainers is spectacular. Music, flawless tricks, we found the experience to be magical. We stayed in the first row and the perception on the show is unique. I highly recommend trying it (yes, you will get splashed. But that’s part of the fun, right?)
Diana C — Google review
Horrible conditions – do not support this place! We visited this park with our daughter and were absolutely shocked by what we saw. The animals are kept in catastrophic conditions. In some enclosures, there were even dead animals (guinea pigs). Many animals don’t have enough food, and in some cases, they were being fed completely inappropriate things. For example, we saw deer being given bananas – something that is absolutely unsuitable for their diet as ruminants. Even more shocking: the cattle standing in one of the fields had no food at all, although as ruminants, they absolutely depend on constant access to proper roughage like hay or grass. Nothing about this place is species-appropriate or humane. There is trash everywhere, the entire area is dirty, neglected, and completely unacceptable. Some animals don’t even have shade. We deeply regret supporting this place by paying for admission. The only thing we can do now is warn others not to visit. Please do not support this kind of animal cruelty.
Ri R — Google review
It was an exceptional experience, and I highly recommend visiting this place. You can enjoy an amazing dolphin show and explore a wonderful reserve filled with cute animals. Onsite parking is available, and there’s even a McDonald’s right near the entrance if you’d like something to eat. I had a really great time there!

We visit there twice in 2 different years, it's always amazing to see the dolfin show , and just to rest after visiting the zoo and after being in the zoo area in the summer that the weather was so hot. Nice place with normal price , the little thave a lot of fun and we spend together half day.in the second time the girls want to visit again the dolfin show was almost the same (after 2 years) but everyone just have fun.
Yaron S — Google review
Great experience. The show was very interesting and they also have a mini zoo that you can explore and also lots of play areas for the kids around the park. A really interesting place that is worth visiting.

2025/09 performance performed by dolphins and their trainers. i loved those (bur not only considering exited screams) when dolphins did the tricks without any equipment - just animal in action, as the top part could be without any doubts tagged trainers and dolphins interactions - swimming, jumping, riding together 👏👏👏 the show last about half an hours, at the end you could have a picture for fee 20lei wit dolphin touching your hand. as bonus, there is a small scuba diving exibition in the foyer with focus on romanian divers. tip: if you want to literally feel the show, chose the seats close to the pool 😉 parking: yes, paid; or street parking paid as well, but could be an issue to find a spot looks like very soon an extention of the facility will be completed, hopefully with something interisting for visitors as well. toilets: yes food&beverages: not in the dolphinaroum building, and did not see any kiosk or bistro around cashless: yes
-p- — Google review
The dolphins show was amazing. Worth the money. Try to get in early to get seats closer to the pool...but you can see everything from the last row as well. Finding the official parking is a lottle bit hard...but that was also google.maps fault. The toilets are not up the standards...

Relax Beach Mamaia

Relax Beach Mamaia is a spacious and beautiful fine-sand beach in Constanta, Romania. It stretches over 8 km long and 100-200 m in width, offering various amenities such as eateries, lounge chairs, umbrellas, exchange booths, and showers. The entry into the water is smooth without stones or shells. This popular Black Sea resort also features numerous hotels, clubs, and water sports facilities.
New beach extension added more places to relax and enjoy Black Sea water, waves and sand. Mamaia beach is crossed by Telegondola and near to amusement park.
Manea I — Google review
The beach is not sandy, it's full of shells, so it's the best to wear water shoes or flip flops. There were small medusas and bugs in the water close to the shore. On a weekday of the first week of July, there were hardly any people. You can pay 30 Lei for an umbrella and a bed, but be prepared, because the sellers hardly speak English. I even got a comment from one of them, that if you are in Romania, speak Romanian. So basically he says "I'm too lazy to learn a world language so learn my useless-for-future-life and uncommon language for these 7 days". The beach is too far away from the food sellers and from the toilet, that's definitely a negative point. Half an hour before 1 pm there was only one kebap place open, all restaurant were closed. The kebap was good and sellers spoke English, luckily. Mamaia got full of life after 5 pm. Anyway the beach was okay but definitely not the best, you need to compromise a lot.
Edit K — Google review
Mamaia was one of the best beaches I have been, but now I am disappointed. The sand is practically not existent. A lot of shells that are cutting your feet. Multiple of private beaches along the coast. The water is not dirty, quite clear and represents the reason for the 2 stars. The prices for products are up to the sky, if you want to go to a restaurant prepare yourself to spend a fortune.
Marius N — Google review
Shitiest beches I ever seen are in Romania. Not only this beach particulary, but all beaches with no exclusions. Quite dirty, instead of sand you will find sort of dust with shells and stones. Prices high, service low quality... For beaching go somewhere else in no case Romania...
Denys — Google review
Dirty beach, questionable water quality, where are the damn toilets I’m guessing most people are probably pissing in the water. Litter everywhere in the form of bottle caps, cans and cigarette butts. Super overpriced chez long compared to a Greek beach. Everyone looks like they’ve stepped out of a Martin Parr photograph. Totally recommend if you like Blackpool and Butlins.
Jamie A — Google review
I expected worse, quite pleasantly surprised, a nice change to swim in the sea after traveling in Romania
Martin F — Google review
My recent escape to Relax Beach in Mamaia unveiled a serene coastal haven that perfectly balanced relaxation and entertainment. Nestled along the picturesque shoreline, this medium-level beach destination offered a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, allowing me to unwind and recharge while enjoying the beauty of the Black Sea.

i definitely don't recommend it instead of sand a lot of broken shells, which is very uncomfortable The beach is not cleaned of rubbish in additions a lot of beer lids and cigarette butts

It is a small museum but full of interesting and rare artefacts. It has the only papyrus discovered on the territory of Romania in a tomb. It also has an impressive ancient glass artefact collection. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. It's definitely worth visiting when in Mangalia, Romania.
George P — Google review
One of the most interesting museums in the area. A reminder of a great ancient civilisation , also a homage for archeologists and historians and their efforts to unearth, preserve and promote a piece of local heritage.
George T — Google review
It's a must see this very interesting place with a very nice guide there. They can do the presentation in 4-5 languages and you will see very rare arheologic pieces
Liviu Z — Google review
Even if Google lists the place as open during the weekend, the Museum is closed on Saturday and Sunday, as we got to find out on site.
Valentina R — Google review
Small museum, but good showcase of what was found. Good place to spend a bit of time on a hot summer day.
Alexandru A — Google review
The museum is amazing. There are very nice artifacts especially in the underground room and there are many of them that were influenced by the Greek history. The personnel was friendly and always willing to help and also the souvenirs were quite different from everything else at the seaside.
Solomon B — Google review
Most artifacts lack the full story. Coins are labeled bronze greek, bronze roman, no denomination mentioned, no story about what you could buy with a as or denari, where they were found, what message they carried on them etc. The tumular tomb with papyrus looks pretty sketchy, like some amateurs dug it up and forgot to put together the broken frescoes, statues and columns that lay around it. History museums are supposed to tell a story, bring back to life ancient people, not just display some clay amphoras and bronze objects...

Beautiful mosque in such a peaceful setting. The mosque is about 500 years old. One side has a cemetery and the other a small forest or orchid. The local Imam, or Hojja, stays on the end of the property and is quite friendly. He is Turkish by birth but has been in Mangalia for many years. Fluent in Arabic and Turkish, and a little English, he assisted me with Halaal meat, which he slaughters himself.

Nice mosque, you can climb the tower, although the view is not anything close to stunning. Women have to wear robes which the mosque supplies. Nice souvenirs are available

It's small and antic place to visit, people are kind and you can find the history of the building, see it from inside, outside and also can see the tower, in my opinion it deserved to be visited.

My favourite place in Vama Veche. Everything it’s really good. The food and drinks are awesome. It’s definitely a must go place in Vama Veche. You can also party during the night, and dance. In the morning you’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Live band, good music, poor service, 25min spent in queue. 2 tequilas 1 draft and a bottle.of water, only 74 ron :) 15 Euro.

Aside from the bad service and crappy food, i was shocked to witness the bodyguards take a guy from the bathroom for smoking weed and asking him for 500 lei so they do not call the police on him. The guy actually went and took out money to pay the blackmailing bodyguards. Disgusting on both sides. Also, did i mention the shitty service? Just shitty
Alex C — Google review
Bad experience. Weird bodyguards, they asked my friends for money so that we could feel “safe”…..
Vlad D — Google review
Arrogant staff, shitty music and bodyguards that blackmail people for random stuff. They asked a friend to give them 500 lei because he smoked weed and if not, they would send the video to the police.
Victor P — Google review
The bar service is quite slow and rude, each time I order a drink, I have to wait in line for about 10 minutes. When I finally get served, the cocktails are often only half-poured, and then I'm suggested to pay 10% tip. It’s a frustrating experience for the price.

Weird bodyguards who take money from people claiming weird rules then they ask for protection money towards the morning and try to sell drugs. Pitty on the place, should get better security.

Other than the fact that the music is nice, I was majorly disappointed by this beach. For a price of 50 ron per sunbed, there are 4 sun beds per umbrella which means that if there’s only two of you, you get to share the umbrella with 2 other strangers.bonus points if they talk loud or have kids that throw water at you while you try to get into relaxing mode.the sun beds are dirty, and the matress very thin, hence the entire experience is not comfortable at all. I don’t recommend renting the sunbeds at all.
Elena C — Google review
Nice beach, lovely music. The only downside is that they have 4 beds for an umbrella and if u are less than 4 people you will have to share your umbrella, which is not very ok when all people want to stay in the shade. It's a nude friendly beach.

Anca M — Google review
A Masterclass in How Not to Welcome Wine Lovers I did something radical before visiting this winery: I checked their website. Yes, I know—how daring of me to believe their claim that visits were possible. I then drove a full hour, fueled by curiosity and a genuine enthusiasm to discover their wines and understand the domain behind the labels. Upon arrival, the scene was nothing short of cinematic. The place was utterly deserted, save for one lone figure who looked as if my presence had personally surprised them. Not exactly the warm welcome you'd expect from a winery supposedly eager to promote its products. When I asked for a visit politely, I was met with the kind of flat refusal that usually comes with a "do not disturb" sign. Apparently, tours are only for groups. I was a group of two, and clearly two too many. My enthusiasm, me having come from Italy, my evident interest in wine? Irrelevant. Rules are rules, especially when they’re designed to repel potential customers. It’s quite ironic, really. Wine is meant to be about sharing, dialogue, tradition. Yet here, the doors (both literal and metaphorical) remained firmly shut. One can only assume that the philosophy of the place is less about craftsmanship and more about cold efficiency—industrial, impersonal, and strictly transactional. As someone who usually leaves a winery with a few boxes of wine (and a few good stories), I left instead with a very clear impression: if this is how they treat visitors, I can only imagine how they treat the grapes. A true missed opportunity—for them. I’ll take my passion and purchases elsewhere.
Federico I — Google review
We went there to explore their wines.Wine tour was very nice and educational.Food and wines are in a level.Viwe with the Danube River is amazing.

The location is only for private events, but you can always stop there to buy 1-2 bottles of wine and enjoy the view. I like “Pinot Gris” and “La Plage” rose. Everytime I am on the A2 highway I make a stop there to get good wine. They are also organizing wine tastings and tours of the wine cellar for groups of 20 people.
Andreea D — Google review
A very good wine at the best price. They also have an online shop and the price difference is not that big. It worth taking the trip only if you order ~20 bottles of wine or more. A 2019 rose is excellent for lunch. You can get there by car, but remember, don't drink and drive. Bike is an alternative.

Tropaeum Traiani is a restored memorial that commemorates Emperor Trajan's victory in a battle during the 1st century AD. The monument holds significant historical importance for the Romanian people, and visitors can enjoy strolling through the nearby park. However, some tourists have complained about inadequate interpretation services at the site.
It is a very beautiful and calm place! You can stay there and relax!
Ciobanu O — Google review
Kitsch. A piece of history that was . Used to serve a political narrative that destroyed its original significance. However, the stop allows you to admire the scenery. Great and comforting.
Mike G — Google review
Good access infrastructure, nice rebuild of the original Tropaeum but nothing else to see except the Tropaeum and the ruins of the ancient city.
Alex C — Google review
Really nice bathrooms. They should also promote here the museum from the village so people could go visit there as well. A sort of pay one ticket and have access to both. There is also a park here with absolutely no purpose next to the main walkway towards the monument. It's worth 10 lei but they should really include the museum too into this
Romulus C — Google review
For the distance you travel and what awaits you when you arrive, I feel this one was actually a bit of a let-down. The monument is a modern recreation, it doesn't have much of the original stone visible (except for a few at the base). It might have been okay had there been more information, the information that what available was damaged or lacklustre.
Chris B — Google review
This is my second visit to this monument and every time it looked deserted. Anyway, this monument is meant to remember an important clash between the Romans and the native people, dacians. It is said that about 4k Romans perished on this battle field in the second century. It's a nice piece of Romanian history and some efforts were put into restoring this archaeological site. It's too bad that they didn't install a souvenir shop.
Cristian M — Google review
A great monument not advertised enough. The complex is really large and the central monument depicts a piece of Romanian history. Unfortunately not many people know about its existance.
Robert G — Google review
One of the oldest romanian heritage sites built in 109 AD, and was reconstructed in 1977, same as the original. It's worth seeing, the access road is very good, and you can also visit the ancient historical city, which is located nearby.

So many animals and you can tell they’re taken very good care of, my favorite place in the world, genuinely like a perfect place for anything , they have benches and tables, nice places for a picnic even. Seen an owl outside the zoo last year, I love being able to see the animals actually a bit closer and to see them interact. Wish people appreciated and didn’t terrorise the monkeys tho

Much better than Baneasa Bucuresti.A variety of animals, nice personnel, you could feed the goats, you can admire the view from a small resting place placed on top of a artificial hill with green all around it.

Lots of interesting artefacts to see, a treasure of Greek origin, some lovely recreations and tones of information and knowledge is all gathered there neatly and organised by periods. It is definitely worth going there. And you can also buy some lively souvenirs too.

Mind-blowing. Worth seeing definitely. Lots of different coins on display the most I've seen in a museum myself. Would recommend 100 percent

Very nice museum, wasn't expecting it to be this pleasant! Modern, friendly atmosphere and the lady is very passionate and when talking about history(french and english)! Here you have a picture of a preserved tomb from the proto-bulgarian era.
Kykyman K — Google review
An amazing display of finds from the vicinity, I was surprised how much history there is in the area going back 1,000s of years, I had a guided tour in English which was very helpful and informative, I recommend this museum if you're in town.

History Museums
This is a museum worth visiting for those interested in the history of the neolithic and eneolithic civilizations in Europe. From Gobekli tepe all the way to Baltic sea, those people were the first to inhabit the continent. Their material culture is an astonishing monument of a lost civilzation who used to live very differently than us modern humans. It is a lesson to be learned.

(Translated by Google) A very good place to learn about the civilizations before the construction of the pyramids. It is an area full of history that not many people know about. With the same ticket, you can visit the two units of the museum, both the one here and the one at the cultural center. I also climbed the water tower. The guides are well trained and told us both historical information and myths of the area.

(Translated by Google) An interesting museum, full of exhibits of the Gumelnita culture excavated from the Oltenita area and on the banks of the Danube. The lady guide was very kind and helpful for our questions. (Original) Un muzeias interesant, plin cu exponate ale culturii Gumelnita excavate din zona Oltenitei si pe malul Dunarii. (Translated by Google) The exterior of the museum is not quite right, it even has a poster with "the plaster is falling"! But, once you enter, things change radically! The showcases with different exhibits, vases and amphorae with incredible details, shapes and colors, with stylized statuettes to perfection, everything is arranged with care and passion. The guide we were lucky enough to have gave us detailed explanations to our questions, behaving like a true professional! It was definitely a beautiful experience, which I hope let me repeat it and recommend it!

"Cernica" Monastery

Monastery
Sights & Landmarks
Sprawling lakeside sanctuary founded in 1608, with a cemetery & a church known for its frescoes.
The 1608 complex's fish ponds maintain carp populations using breeding techniques documented since 1734. The bakery's brick oven retains heat for three days after firing. Monks still gather herbs at specific lunar phases for their famous curative teas.
Arman K — Google review
I recently visited Cernica Monastery on weekend day, and it was my first time there. Being a weekend, the monastery was quite crowded, which added a bustling energy to the otherwise peaceful setting. The day was cloudy and windy, creating a solemn atmosphere. In contrast, the vibrant rose bushes in the courtyard were strikingly beautiful, their vivid colors standing out against the gray skies and lending a sense of hope amidst the gloom. The frescoes on the walls were equally captivating, with their intricate details and rich storytelling. However, one moment during my visit left me deeply upset. I lit a candle in memory of my grandmother, hoping for a quiet and meaningful moment of reflection. But as I stood there, a staff member—working alone—came to clean and threw my candle away before it had even finished burning. It felt so disrespectful and dismissive, and I was on the verge of tears. What should have been a serene and heartfelt moment turned into a painful memory

Nice monastery, parking is 5 lei. There is a cemetery on the premises. A lot of local beggers are present inside the yard asking visitors for money.
D. J — Google review
The Monastery is quite big, they provide ample parking spaces for a 5 lei fee. Scenery is also very nice, and right across the lake is a cemetery where a lot of historic personalities are buried. The small church in the center of the cemetery also has a charm of its own.

A wonderful place, full of peace. Very beautiful monastery, neat and surrounded by a beautiful garden.❤️

Great place for "gratar", and kids love adventure circuit with tirolyanes

Balcan's specific place with the barbecue area at entrance. Even do you pay for the entrance, everything inside is with another tax. The only free thing included in the entrance fee is the toilet.
Alex — Google review
It would have been great if they would have updated their site with the latest info on zipline functioning. I’ve drove 200km forth and back for the famous zipline over the lake to find out only at the arrival that it is not working due to construction works in the area (paying also the entrance to get this info).
Bianca — Google review
Lack of security features, sharp edges of obstacles - got my T-shirt ripped, weird rules - you can go onto the 2 hardest routes only with a supervisor which is 18+ if you are not an adult. Cable where you put your carabines was put so badly that it’s in your way in most of routes. If I could I would add 3.5 stars, the routes were nice and overall I really enjoyed it
Matej S — Google review
It’s so expensive — the table costs 75 lei, the entrance fee is 20 lei, and on top of that, you also have to pay 15 lei for parking
Fatih K — Google review
Picnic area with lots of space and shade. Affordable prices and option to bring your own barbecue grill.

This is a amazing place with good restaurants. You can see different types of birds, do a boat tour and to see the horses. There are good activities for children. This place is perfect for a family day. The worst thing that it is very dificult parking on weekends and ligal holidays.
Nuno F — Google review
Great place for a picnic and a workout, but people come and play manele, leave garbage and ruin it, we leave as soon as we hear them. Nice place for a walk in the woods and a work out. Stuff is nice and helpful. They have parking and the rent grills for barbeque. Kid friendly and pet friendly place. You can also go fishing there.

I purchasedfrom here since about 2010. I should say that after Julius Meinl takeover, the quality decreased and the prices raised. Both dramatically. It's time to choose something else.

Absolutely disgusting chocolate wrapped in a package that is made to resemble to Lindt. It's amazing how they can continue to do that and cheat the public with their horrible products. Be careful not to ever buy their products!!! truly horrible and deceitful!
