No proper management system for keeping devotees’ slippers and shoes. Toilets are not clean and lack basic maintenance. Poor arrangements for devotees staying/living inside the premises. The place feels very congested and overcrowded. Air conditioning does not function properly, making it uncomfortable.

Drizzling land water park is truly amazing! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the cleanliness and vibrant atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our visit even more enjoyable. Our family had a fantastic day, and we will definitely be back again soon!
Vipin S — Google review
Drizzling Land is a fun getaway if you’re looking to beat the heat and spend a full day unwinding. The water rides are the highlight, especially the wave pool and the big slides, which are genuinely exciting without feeling unsafe. The place is fairly spacious, so even on busy days you don’t feel too crowded. The staff is polite and attentive, and the lifeguards actually pay attention, which adds a lot of comfort. Food options are decent with good variety, though a bit on the pricier side, which is typical for parks like this. Overall, it’s a solid spot for families, couples, or a group of friends looking for a refreshing day out. Clean pools, good rides, and a cheerful vibe make it worth the trip. Sachin Tyagi
Tanush M — Google review
Drizzling land is the perfect "summer day out" location to spend a memorable time with your family or friends. The ticket prices are cheaper compared to other water parks while the rides and slides are at par with the rest. The hygiene is well maintained. The water slides and pools are clean and cool. There are multiple pool areas and atleast 20+ slides to enjoy. Safety is considered at all locations within. The amusement rides are equally thrilling. The food court is also amazing, serves ample quantity of food at affordable prices. You can easily enjoy an entire day here or as much as you can !!! I highly recommend Drizzling Land !!!
ABHISHEK S — Google review
Located just near sideby duhai rapid railway station this water park is on delhi meerut highway in easy to reach also nearby peripheral expressway. Ticket rates are economical and you can park your vehicle at railway parking just outside the water park. Water quality is ok but not fresh and well chlorinated. Changing rooms are well and lockers are sufficient in size. Children's pool, kempty fall and slow river is good. Although they have many rides but each ride faces a long queue for waiting. Wave pool is super having strong waves. Canteen food is good. Roller coaster ride is very thrilling and many rides for kids at amusement park. Drinking water is avilable inside at cooling machines unlike other water parks which force to purchase water bottle inside. Please avoid sundays and holidays as there is great rush and you can miss many rides.
Ravi M — Google review
This is a wayer park situated at Ghaziabad Meerut road. People can reach by RRTS mero while getting down at Duhai station. Tickets are Rs 650 for adults and Rs 450 for Children. These prices are at 50% discounts as advertised by water park.

Jurasik Park Inn

Water park
Outdoor Activities
Theme Parks
Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
I recently visited Jurassic Water Park in Sonipat with my group of friends, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable outings we’ve had in a long time. The park truly lives up to its name — the dinosaur-themed surroundings, lush greenery, and well-maintained rides make it a perfect getaway for both fun and relaxation. We spent the entire day there and didn’t feel bored even for a moment. The water slides and wave pool were the main highlights. Each ride offered a different thrill level, from high-speed slides for adventure lovers to gentle ones for those who just wanted to relax. The wave pool and rain dance area were also big hits with our group. The music and DJ added a lively vibe, and everyone enjoyed dancing under the sprinklers. One thing that stood out was the behavior of the staff — they were polite, friendly, and always ready to help. They ensured everyone’s safety and maintained cleanliness around the pools and sitting areas. The food court offered a decent variety of snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. Overall, our experience at Jurassic Water Park was fantastic. It’s a great destination for families, friends, or school groups looking to spend a fun-filled and refreshing day. We loved it and would definitely love to visit again!

Jurasik Park Inn – Honest Review I recently visited Jurasik Park Inn, and overall, it was a pretty average experience. Water rides were okay — nothing too exciting, and honestly, not well maintained. The pools were basic and lacked proper hygiene, which was a big letdown. We already had our own swimming shorts, but they still didn’t allow us entry without renting their own, which felt unnecessary and inconvenient. Food options were very limited, and whatever was available was overpriced for the quality. Definitely not value for money in that department. We bought our tickets via voucher deals at ₹650 per person, which was still manageable. But if we had paid the regular ₹999 per person, it would not have felt worth it at all. The parking area was spacious and well-managed — probably one of the few things that were truly good. Coming to safety and enjoyment — many rides seemed more risky than fun. Injuries felt more likely than thrills, and while the amusement rides were slightly better, some of them required extra charges, which was disappointing. In short, it’s an Average park — fine if you're getting a discounted deal and just want to spend a casual day out, but don’t expect anything too exciting or well-organized.
Aakash S — Google review
I had an amazing experience at Jurasik Park Inn. The amusement rides were thrilling and well-maintained, offering excitement for all age groups. The water park was equally impressive, with clean pools, exciting slides, and plenty of shaded areas to relax between rides. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable day full of fun and adventure!
Aamir K — Google review
It's good but hygiene can be maintain. There was foul smell in water and no wave in pool area. They have water park first and amusement park in in back side. After using water park you can't use amusement park rides so it will get waste. Limited rides. Time being ticket price is good. Rides are good!
Deepak K — Google review
Disappointing experience >Online tickets are useless, as we still have to take a counter ticket and entry bands and there is no seperate queue for those who have online tickets. >They don't even allow a water bottle inside..it's a full-on money making system inside. >It's a waste for a toddler parents. Because In kids slides adults are not allowed. And in adults slides kids are not allowed. >In the food area they have kept coolers.. Ofcourse because they are making money. But, in the waiting areas indoors/ outdoors...NO COOLERS..not even fan. > I was there till 3 pm, the rides for kids were not functional till that time. >The staff was not supportive and cooperative..at times they were rude too. > Child ticket is only applicable if a child is 4 feet or less. But if it's plus 1 or 2 inch, they will consider it under adult. Which is so foolish. > People from near by places can think of going to this place..but people travelling from noida/delhi and other far locations must think twice.

Thus it still lacks in the availability of many big brands. Mall is hygienic and cleanliness level is up to the mark. It also has cinema inside and it has newly opened gaming arena for kids. A must visit place in meerut as food court offers quality food and service.

Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir

Mentioned on
1 list
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir is a reconstructed Shiva temple and pilgrimage site in Meerut, known for its ornate gopura gates and mythological carvings. This Hindu temple holds both religious and historical significance, as it was the starting point of the great revolt for India's independence in 1857. Located in the Cantonment area of Meerut, this renowned temple is a popular tourist attraction.
It is said that the tree under which Mangal Pandey and his companions planned the revolt of 1857... Was in this temple's premise. But even if you ignore the historical significance of it, the temple in itself is a brilliant piece of architecture, covered in marble stone. Such a luxury it was to visit the temple.
Super P — Google review
Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir, also known as the Augharnath Temple, is a deeply spiritual and historically significant temple located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is not only a sacred religious site but also holds a unique place in India’s history, as it is associated with the First War of Independence in 1857. It's often referred to as the "Kali Paltan Mandir" due to its connection with the Indian sepoys of that era. The temple architecture is beautiful, combining spiritual ambiance with historical reverence. The Shivling inside the sanctum is powerful, and the daily aarti rituals, especially during early mornings and evenings, are truly divine. The energy here is peaceful and grounding—a perfect place for meditation or quiet prayer. The temple premises are clean and well-maintained, with facilities like shoe racks, drinking water, and seating areas for elderly visitors. Devotees from all over India visit this temple, especially during Mondays and Mahashivratri, when the temple is beautifully decorated and filled with devotional energy. Useful Tips for Visitors: Visit early in the morning for a peaceful darshan and to avoid crowds. Mondays are especially auspicious for Lord Shiva, but expect a larger crowd. Keep your footwear at the designated area; the staff ensures it is safe. Photography inside the temple sanctum is generally not allowed—be respectful of the rules. You can offer milk, belpatra, and flowers, which are easily available from stalls nearby. Try to visit the small museum adjacent to the temple to learn more about its connection to India’s freedom struggle. Parking is available nearby, but it can get crowded during festivals or weekends—plan accordingly. Overall, Shri Baba Augharnath Shiv Mandir is not just a place of worship, but a powerful spiritual and historical destination that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're a devotee of Lord Shiva or a history enthusiast, this temple is a must-visit in Meerut. Har Har Mahadev! 🕉️🙏
SkyQuest A — Google review
The Kali Paltan Temple in Meerut is one of those rare places where history and spirituality meet perfectly. Known as one of the oldest temples in the city, it’s not just a religious spot but also a symbol of India’s first freedom struggle in 1857. The peaceful atmosphere, the divine energy of Maa Kali, and the old-world charm make it a must-visit for anyone coming to Meerut. The temple is well-maintained, easily accessible, and surrounded by small local shops selling flowers and prasad. Early morning and evening aarti are truly powerful moments the sound of the bells and chants just lift your spirit. If you’re visiting Meerut, don’t miss this temple. It’s not just about worship it’s about feeling the strength and spirit of our history.

Gandhi Bagh, also known as Company Garden, is a serene and expansive green space in Meerut. It offers various attractions such as evening fountain shows, well-maintained gardens with flower plants, a cricket field, playgrounds for children, and even boating facilities. The park features an open gym for visitors to exercise and relax amidst the natural beauty. Additionally, there are coffee shops and ice-cream parlors within the garden.
It's a very nice and beautiful park it's not free you have to buy a ticket for entry. Overall the park was very beautiful and peaceful you can rest here during the afternoon time.

Gandhi bagh is nice garden with lots of flowers trees and fountain to spend evening with your family and frnds best place for nature Lovers...but can be maintained more. Most of the statues are broken and lack of cleanliness in some places.

Nalli Pulao was good, I tried white chicken it was too rich with oil and the serving curtllary was plastic spoons in a hot dish, which is really dangerous for health. Do not expect a good sitting area while visiting this location.

One of the best place for couples for hanging out. There are entry fee that is Rs. 10 per person and 20 rs per vehicle. Vehicle parking space is enough for this park. There is no water facility inside the park. Some birds are also there and playing stuff is also available for kids. Entry gates are from all sides but only a main gate that is at Roorkee Road, is open for all.

Meerut Gandhi Bagh is a big and clean public garden, ideal for morning walks, family outings, and peaceful relaxation. Its well maintained greenery and open spaces offer a refreshing escape from city life. A great spot for nature lovers and fitness enthusiasts alike.

A very good place to visit in meerut, having plenty of area to walk and sit. Well maintained parks, having flower plants , ducks, rabbits, and boat ride inside the park. Gandhi park have open gym for morning and evening exercises. We can see many of them walking around there. Also there is an old well which is moved from Delhi to meerut. Place to sit and relax, statues, children play area, Having coffee shops coffee ☕, ice-cream🍦 parlours 🍿🥧etc. Well crowded in festival times.actually the disappointing thing is lovers, if u are in single u feel alone because there are too many couples there👩‍❤️‍👨. I suggest to come in pair😉.

Good place to visit with family also, as the biggest garden of the city, contains flowers, greenery, fountain with music, ducks, pigeons, rats, rabbits etc. Children park is also there with almost all kinds of swings (jhule). Peaceful as situated in cantonment. You can also have snacks items inside the garden. A small boating area (include ticket)is also good but need to be cleaned. They also have put some small charges (approx Rs 30) per person entry. Overall good experience of refreshment over the city rush.
Shubham J — Google review
Very well structured for civilians(neighborhood) , specially in the evening they spend time with nature because the garden is full of trees and open gym for children. The water shower (phabbara) attract the people. But if you are going there for something new you will get nothing but a water shower ( without any music just water flow) surrounded by many trees that you have seen in the park. In addition to every person have to give 20 rs per head charge without any receipt I think that is not reasonable. I spent half an hour in the park so the amount was high, if you spend a whole day then you can afford this money. So this is what I feel.

When Haaji Shah went to Haj In Arab , Lal Das became very sad and when Lal das went to Haridwar , Haaji Shah became sad . One day Lal das said to Haaji Shah if I will make your same Masjid like in Arab then will you Stop to go there . Haaji Shah said yes ofcourse . Lad das made Same Masjid like in Arab in night with his tapasya .. Next day Haaji Shah became very happy , and he thought I should also do something for Lal das so he will not have to go to Haridwar. Then he also did one majic with his power that he earned from Nawaj .. He brought Ganga ji at same place that river called pawn dhoi( foot cleaner) . Because when Lal das was in samdhi river touch his feet to awak him so that river called Pawn dhoi . So after that Both friends will not go to Haridwar and Arab. They live together .. Shree Daksheshwar Mahadev - Daksh Prajapati Temple is a vibrant and significant Hindu temple situated near the River Ganges. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds historical importance related to the tale of King Daksha, Sati, and Lord Shiva.
The temple where Mata sati was born and also the same place where she jumped into the hawan kund, when mahadev is insulted by his father. After listening to this that Mata sati is no more mahadev incarnate veerbhadra one of his most aggressive and powerful entity and command him to kill prajapati daksh, and also command him if any God, Gandharva, army, demi God came up in his way then also kill them but don't stop.. so veerbhadra defeated the whole army and tear them like a piece of paper and killed the prajapati daksh by his single attack and separate his head from his body. After that mahadeb took Mata sati body and roamed in the entire world here and there , and seeing this lord Vishnu start cutting Mata sati body in many parts and each part fallen down on earth and where the all 108 pieces are fall are today's known as shaktipeeth..

Where Divinity Meets Eternity – Daksheswar Mahadev Temple, Kankhal In the serene heart of Kankhal, Haridwar, lies Daksheswar Mahadev Temple — more than just a temple, it is a place where myth and divinity quietly breathe as one. This sacred site holds deep significance in Hindu mythology, marking the place where King Daksha performed his yajna and where Goddess Sati, overcome with grief and devotion, surrendered herself to the sacred fire. The temple echoes the divine tale of Lord Shiva’s sorrow, the creation of Virbhadra, and the eternal love between Shiva and Sati — a story of cosmic energy, sacrifice, and spiritual union. Even today, the energy here is palpable — peaceful yet deeply powerful. As you walk through the temple’s corridors, you don’t just witness devotion… you feel it. The gentle chimes of the bells, the fragrance of incense, and the chants in the air transport you to another realm. It’s a place where time slows down, where the heart feels light, and where the spirit quietly bows. A must-visit for every spiritual traveler, devotee, or seeker of divine peace. Daksheswar Mahadev Temple is not just a destination — it’s a divine moment carved into the heart of Haridwar. Perched atop the Neel Parvat in the Shivalik Hills, Shri Maa Chandi Devi Temple is a historic Hindu pilgrimage site with a rich legacy. Built in 1929, it is believed to house an ancient idol of the goddess dating back to the 8th century. The temple attracts devotees year-round and is known as a Siddha Peetha, where worshippers seek fulfillment of their desires.
Chandi devi temple located at hilltop of Neel Parvat was memorable experience. We went by ropeway to enjoy bird's eye view of Haridwar, Ganda river and surrounding hills. Early Morning Trekking is also good option to enjoy panaramic view. You can either buy combo of Mansa devi and chandi devi temple the only thing is you should be able to reach both temples on the same day if there's no long queues then it's easy. When we went in 2022 combo charges 324 rs per person while only chandi devi temple ticket charges 195 rs per person. Temple is clean and well maintained. Temple premises contains idols of lord kali ma, sankat mochan hanuman, Maa Annapurna, Santoshi Maa etc. This siddhpeeth is heavy crowded on festive like Navratri and holiday season. There are waiting halls at each levels and quite nice dining cafe inside and children game area to spend sometime. You'll find beautiful dress photography studies at all places in haridwar rishikesh masoorie.

We visited Maa Chandi Devi Temple and had a wonderful spiritual and scenic experience. We went up using the ropeway, which was truly enjoyable — the short 5-minute ride offered beautiful views of the mountains and the surrounding greenery. It felt peaceful and refreshing. After reaching the top, we took the blessings of Maa Chandi Devi, and also visited the nearby Hanuman, Anjana Mata, and Santoshi Mata temples. The place has a divine atmosphere, and the entire visit felt serene and fulfilling. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for both spiritual seekers and nature lovers. The combination of the ropeway ride and the temple’s peaceful ambiance makes it a memorable experience.

Ma Chandi Devi Mandir, located on the beautiful Neel Parvat hill in Haridwar, is one of the most sacred and enchanting temples in Uttarakhand. Dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi, this temple is not only a significant spiritual destination but also a place that fills the heart with peace and devotion. According to mythology, the temple marks the site where Goddess Chandi defeated the demons Chanda and Munda, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The journey to the temple itself is memorable. Devotees can either trek up the hill or take the ropeway (Udan Khatola), which is an experience in itself. The ropeway offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Ganga River, the lush green forests, and the entire city of Haridwar. As you ascend, the cool breeze and scenic beauty make the ride truly mesmerizing. It feels as if you’re floating above nature’s divine canvas. The temple premises are clean, well-maintained, and radiate positive energy. The aura of the Goddess, combined with the chants of devotees, creates a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Visiting Ma Chandi Devi Mandir is not just a religious trip—it’s a soulful experience that connects you with faith, nature, and inner peace. A must-visit place for anyone coming to Haridwar.

The ropeway to Chandi Devi Temple offers stunning aerial views of Haridwar, the Ganga river, and surrounding hills. The ride is smooth, safe, and takes just a few minutes to reach the top. A great experience for all age groups and totally worth it for the scenic views alone.
Joyita S — Google review
The temple is peaceful and worth visiting, but the overall management is poor. Ropeway waiting time is 1–2 hours and the area is overcrowded. Biggest issue is returning without your own vehicle — auto drivers refuse to go unless their big autos are full, making tourists wait for hours. Strongly recommend visiting only if you have your own transport. We recently visited Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar and while the temple itself is serene and spiritually uplifting, the overall experience left us disappointed due to poor management around the visit. To reach the temple, you need to take the tram (ropeway) service, but the waiting time is extremely long — anywhere between 1–2 hours. The starting point for the tram is overcrowded, which makes the wait even more uncomfortable. There are some small shops for souvenirs, snacks, and games, but that doesn’t balance the chaos. Once you reach the top, there is a small hike via stairway to the temple. The stairs are divided into two sides — one for going up (which is in good condition) and one for coming down (which is poorly maintained and quite difficult to walk on). All of this could still be manageable, but the biggest problem starts when you have to return to your hotel or onward destination without your own vehicle. The auto drivers outside act like goons — they refuse to take passengers unless their large autos are filled completely, or you hire the entire vehicle even if you’re a single person. When I asked small auto drivers, they said they’re afraid of the big ones as they get threatened or beaten if they pick up customers from there. We ended up waiting more than an hour just to get back, which completely ruined the experience. The temple is worth visiting, but I strongly recommend going with your own vehicle. The authorities really need to step in and resolve this transportation issue, as it’s making tourists suffer unnecessarily.

Beautifully located on the top of the mountain with Har Ki Pouri beneath it. The road ,if you go walking, is all winding and will take a long time to reach the top. There is cable car service which is pretty crowded but well organised and takes you up in minutes. The view on the way up or down is awesome, with Ganga stretching out for a very very long distance, the Har Ki Pouri, the bridges, etc you can see and the majestic mountains surrounding the area. The temple was quite crowded and people were unruly pushing and pulling, no crowd control as such. Even the darshan was difficult as people were pushing from the back. Apart from the crowd control rest is good. Jai maa Mansa Devi. 🙏

Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar is one of the most popular and sacred temples, beautifully located on the Shivalik hills overlooking the Ganga and Har Ki Pauri. Devotees can reach the temple either by walking on the winding path or by using the ropeway (Udan Khatola), which offers a stunning aerial view of the city and river. The temple gets quite crowded, especially during festivals, but the atmosphere remains deeply spiritual. Facilities like water points and sitting areas are available. Photography isn’t allowed inside. A must-visit for peace and divine blessings.

The cable car was a very good experience and offered good views. Keep hold of the ticket if you buy return. The temple complex is very cramped and offers no outside areas (unless you walk up??) The cable car waiting area was not full and the snack outlets in the temple were not open ,I assume it was a less than busy time so I dread to think how claustrophobic it would be when super busy! Shoe stand at entrance. Negotiating each little temple section without being dragged in easier as a westerner but do keep an eye on the rest of the group as we waited ages for" Tail End Charlie "at the the shoe stand on the way out!!
Musicians M — Google review
The temple is located on top of a hill accessed by a ropeway. There is some 15 minutes wait for the ropeway on crowded days. The charges are ₹190 per person and you can book ropeway for Chandi Devi temple too at a discounted package rate here. There is a sloping walkway also available. The views from the ropeway is breathtaking, but the approach to it is through narrow lanes in between houses and dilapidated structures. The Q system was good till the final steps to the temple. Then it became crowded and unruly, maybe due to Diwali week. You can buy some Prasad along the Queue which will be offered to the Goddess and given back. There is a place to keep footwear after the ropeway ride.

shantikun Retreat Experience 🌿✨ In June, we visited Shantikun with our family and stayed for around 4 days. The environment was incredibly peaceful and serene, offering us a much-needed break from the hustle of daily life. 🌸 The people there were warm, kind, and spoke with such love and respect—it truly felt like a spiritual home. During our stay, we participated in Sharamdaan (voluntary service), took part in a sacred Hawan (fire ritual) 🔥, and even received Diksha (spiritual initiation), which made the experience deeply meaningful and memorable. 🙏 Overall, it was a soul-refreshing journey filled with positivity and tranquility. 🌞

Poor planning, you have to borrow Blanket and mattress from a central place and carry to your hall. 4. You can't buy water bottle from 9 PM itself ,u need to fill from water coolers. 5. No reason to stay here except free of cost , technically u should leave ur respect aside if u want to stay here. This place is not for young person who went to enjoy Haridwar, its for those who are only spiritual person. There buildings are clean but rooms were very unheignic and filled with manner less people. Kindly don't take your kids to this worst place, stay safe and take a good Hotel or refer some good and reputed Ashram if you want to live in ashram only.

Shantikunj Haridwar is more than just an ashram; it's a sanctuary of peace, spirituality, and selfless service that leaves a lasting positive impression. From the moment you step onto its well-maintained grounds, a palpable sense of tranquility washes over you, a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The serene atmosphere, coupled with the gentle chanting and the fragrance of incense, creates an environment conducive to introspection and inner peace. The teachings and philosophy of Gayatri Pariwar, which are at the heart of Shantikunj, resonate deeply with their emphasis on holistic well-being, ethical living, and selfless service. Participating in the daily yagnas is a powerful and uplifting experience, fostering a sense of community and spiritual connection. The volunteers, dedicated to their seva (selfless service), embody the spirit of the ashram, always ready with a helping hand and a warm smile. Beyond the spiritual aspects, Shantikunj also offers practical avenues for personal growth and well-being. The various workshops and training programs on topics like stress management, yoga, and meditation are invaluable. The well-organized and clean accommodation, along with the simple yet nourishing food, further contribute to a comfortable and conducive stay. What truly sets Shantikunj apart is its unwavering commitment to social welfare and the upliftment of society through initiatives in education, health, and environmental conservation. Witnessing this dedication firsthand is both inspiring and humbling. A visit to Shantikunj is not just a retreat; it's an enriching experience that rejuvenates the mind, body, and soul, leaving you with a renewed sense of purpose and positivity. It's a place where you can truly connect with yourself and the divine.

Gurdwara Shri Paonta Sahib is a peaceful and spiritually uplifting destination..A visit here is highly recommended for anyone traveling to Himachal Pradesh or nearby regions. The historical significance of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s stay at this sacred site adds deep meaning to the experience. The riverfront next to the Gurdwara is breathtaking — watching the Yamuna flow gently by enhances the spiritual ambiance. Inside the premises, a museum showcases Sikh history, including ancient swords, weapons, and writing tools used by kings. Visited today for darshan, ample space for large crowds in case. Kada prasad available for free and if more required you can purchase at nominal price. Lungar runs left side spacious building. Also there is ample space for car parking, only needs authorities to put sign boards for directions where to park & entry-exits. There are beautiful Yamuna river flows, you can even go down stairs having 85 steps from the gurudwara premises only to take a holy bath.

The atmosphere inside is calm and divine, with monks chanting softly while holding their japa malas, creating a peaceful vibration that instantly soothes the mind. The architecture and artwork around the temple are stunning, reflecting traditional Buddhist craftsmanship and incredible attention to detail. The area around the temple is also lively and enjoyable — great for shopping, exploring local handicrafts, and trying delicious Asian cuisine. Overall, it’s a wonderful place for both spiritual seekers and travelers looking to explore something unique in Dehradun.

The monastery has a spacious area and beautiful scenery. I arrived in the late afternoon, so I didn’t have enough time to explore everything. There’s a shoe storage area that charges 3 rupees per pair, but it wasn’t operational when I visited. There are many wooden chairs for visitors to rest. Everything is wonderful.

Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh is a significant spiritual site located on the banks of the Ganges River. It is considered the biggest and busiest ghat along the river, holding immense religious importance for Hindus. The evening Aarti, known as Maha Aarti, is a pure and sacred ritual that attracts many devotees. This ghat is renowned for its serene ambiance during early morning hours when visitors can witness the tranquil beauty of sunrise and experience a profound sense of peace.
Must visit place when you are travelling to Rushikesh. The aarti at Triveni ghat is a devotional experience. Reach early to get a good spot for attending the aarti. In winter months aarti starts around 6pm. After the aarti there is Bhajan where one can enjoy the spiritual connection.
Veena S — Google review
I have vitnessed almost all famous aartis of GANGAJI at Haridwar and Rishikesh during the trip but Aarti at Triveni Ghat is One of the best Gangaji Aarti I have. View of Sunset is just refreshing. And only Aarti where everyone is allowed to do Aarti at Free of cost by the management. Management themselves provide Aarti thalis to many people and they shares thalis with each other so each and everyone can enjoy and participate at Aarti. And story doesn't ends here, Bhajan starts after Aarti and surely you will get goosebumps if you have vitnessed the joy. In short don't miss it if you are visiting Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Truly one of the best spiritual experiences of my life. Felt divine and calm attending the Ganga Aarti here. Too much crowded and if you need good places to sit, consider reaching there early. After Ganga Aarti you can sit at the ghats enjoying the peace and serenity.

Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh is a beautiful and peaceful place to experience the true spirit of the Ganga. The atmosphere here is calm in the mornings and truly divine during the evening Ganga Aarti. Watching the lamps floating on the river with the sound of chants feels magical. The area is well-maintained, and you can sit by the river to relax or take a holy dip. It’s one of those places where you feel peace and positivity all around. A must-visit spot for anyone traveling to Rishikesh.

Triveni Ghat is a truly spiritual and beautiful destination in Rishikesh. The evening Ganga Aarti is mesmerizing, with soulful chants and vibrant rituals that create an uplifting atmosphere. Sitting by the banks of the Ganges surrounded by mountains, you feel tremendous peace and positive energy. It can get crowded during the Aarti, so arrive early to get a good spot. The whole experience — from the holy dip in the river to the aarti and the nearby temples — makes Triveni Ghat a must-visit for anyone seeking serenity and divine vibes in Rishikesh.

Its a amazing experience to see ganga aarti there. Ghat is also good and clean. Maybe ut could be little bit crowded depending on any special occasion. But still it look peaceful.
Prashant K — Google review
Well managed. Entry is started at 5 pm for the Arti at 6 pm. Orderly queue is started at 5. People pay to offer 'special' puja, and they're allowed to/ are conducted fpr puja before the Aarti begins. It's well choreographed. Quite a spectacle.
Ajay S — Google review
A very beautiful place to be if you are spiritual. Usually a must visit when the Ganga Aarti happens. Usually during winters the Aarti happens at 5.30pm however it's important that you reach there 20 minutes earlier to get the front seats.

The Beatles Ashram

Ashram
Sights & Landmarks
The Beatles Ashram, located about 3 km from Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh, was once a quiet place for yoga and meditation under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. However, it gained global attention in 1968 when The Beatles visited to learn about Transcendental Meditation. Today, the ashram features Beatles art and graffiti. The area is a mystical campus with stunning architecture nestled in a forested area near the Ganges.
A calm and scenic place surrounded by nature, with old meditation caves and creative art on the walls. It has a peaceful vibe and is great for photography and quiet walks. But the area needs more care and maintenance. Many parts are broken, there’s no proper seating, and paths are not well-kept. Still, they charge an entry fee of ₹200, which feels too high for the current condition. The government should take better care of this historic place. Worth visiting once for the vibe and views, but it could be much better.
Bhupender R — Google review
★★★★★ / 🌿 “A Timeless Melody of Peace, Art & Nature in Rishikesh!” 🌿 The Beatles Ashram (Chaurasi Kutiya) in Rishikesh is not just a historic spot — it’s a soulful retreat that beautifully blends nature, art, and the lingering legacy of music. Once home to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram, where The Beatles stayed in 1968 and composed many of their iconic songs, this place still echoes with creativity and serenity. Nestled on the banks of the Ganga and embraced by the Rajaji Tiger Reserve, the ashram has an otherworldly calm. Walking through its abandoned meditation huts, crumbling stone pathways, and moss-covered walls feels like stepping into a peaceful time capsule. The silence here is profound — you hear the wind in the trees, birdsong, and your own footsteps — offering a rare space for reflection and stillness. ⸻ 🌟 Highlights of the Experience • Historic Legacy: Knowing that The Beatles, along with other artists and seekers, meditated and created music here adds a magical energy to the visit. Fans of the band will feel the nostalgia instantly. • Street-Art & Graffiti: The ashram walls are covered with vibrant murals and Beatles-inspired artwork by international artists. Every corner feels like a living gallery that celebrates music and peace. • Meditation Huts (Chaurasi Kutiya): These dome-shaped stone huts are scattered throughout the ashram. Exploring them is fascinating — they feel raw yet inviting, and many still have an aura of tranquility. • Nature & Scenery: The ashram is surrounded by lush forests and offers glimpses of the Ganges. The air feels fresh, and the natural silence makes it a rejuvenating experience. • Peaceful Vibe: Despite being a popular tourist site, the ashram retains its calm energy. It’s a wonderful place for meditation, photography, or simply sitting under a tree and soaking in the moment. ⸻ 📝 Practical Details • Entry: There’s a nominal entry fee (for both Indian and international visitors) which is worth it for the well-maintained paths and restored sections. • Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon — the light is softer, the air is cooler, and it’s less crowded. • Duration: Ideally set aside 1.5 to 2 hours to walk, explore, and sit quietly. • Photography: The combination of ruins, murals, forest, and domes makes this a paradise for photographers. • Walkability: Expect a lot of walking inside; wear comfortable shoes as paths can be uneven. • Safety: The site feels safe and secure; there’s a forest vibe but nothing to worry about during visiting hours. ⸻ 💭 Final Thoughts The Beatles Ashram is more than a tourist destination — it’s a soulful pause in the rush of travel. Whether you come for its history, its art, or its quiet connection to nature, you leave feeling a little lighter and more inspired. ⭐ Overall: A must-visit in Rishikesh — perfect for music lovers, history buffs, meditators, artists, or anyone seeking peace amidst nature’s charm. ✨ Review by @the_solo_wanderer_ For more soulful journeys and untold stories, search me on Instagram 🌿📸

Recommended visit time needed approx 2hrs. Costs for foreigners is 1200 rupi. Located in a white corner of the mountain. Very interesting to see where the Beatles spent some time connecting to there inner self escaping all the worldly noise. You just walk around and feel the peace. Birds chirping. You see the bungalow where the Beatles stayed. You see a small gallery with a bunch of photos of the Beatles in the ashram. There is a Small canteen where you can buy drinks and lunch.
Moshe M — Google review
I finally visited this place on my third trip to Rishikesh. I had high expectations, but I left a bit disappointed. The road leading to the ashram is quite tricky and feels more like off-roading. There are no proper guidelines or directions about where to go first—you just end up wandering around the ashram. The place is huge, and the meditation domes made from river stones are quite interesting. Apart from that, there’s a small gallery near the canteen displaying photos from when the Beatles actually visited the ashram. Overall, I feel the ₹200 entry fee isn’t justified. With better maintenance and proper guidance, the experience would definitely be worth it.
Mukul C — Google review
The Beatles Ashram, Rishikesh A peaceful nature trail ideal for meditation and reconnecting with yourself. The walk through the woods is scenic and soothing, though the old huts (“kutiyas”) are now poorly maintained. The ticket feels slightly overpriced, but the calm aura and greenery make up for it. Don’t miss the canteen’s pahadi wali Maggi! 🍃 Wear comfy shoes and watch out for monkeys — a lovely spot for a long, mindful walk in nature.

The ruins of an old ashram in Rishikesh. You can spent around 2 hours to see it around. The stone caves for medition built of the hand picked pebbles from Ganga river is the highlight here. It's not well maintained though. It's part of s tiger reserve now.

It's actually the chauras kutiya near Janki Jhula , and timings are till 3pm so one should know this everywhere it's mentioned incorrect, which wasted our time. Ram Jhula is a stunning bridge that spans the Ganges River, offering a picturesque and spiritual experience. While it can be crowded, the journey to the bridge is filled with interesting sights such as monkeys and wandering cows. Walking is recommended over renting a vehicle, allowing you to enjoy shopping, snacks, and tea along the way. From Ram Jhula Ghat, you can witness the divine Ganga Aarti in a less crowded setting than at Paramathma Ghat.
Ram jhula, in Rishikesh one the most beautiful place, if anyone wants to see the beauty and glimps of this place do come at night after 8.30 or 9 pm cuz here is too rush in evening but at night is completely free from rush, and there no any things which scare for female or girls special police are here are vigilance and active no such miscreants are there. I went ther recently with my friends to enjoy the weekend. We booked our hotel near ramjhula to enjoy the ganga view, also rafting and more adventure activities. As we know about ramjhula Ram Jhula is a long hanging bridge in Rishikesh built over the holy Ganga River. It connects two sides of the town and is used by people walking, cycling, and visiting temples. When you stand on the bridge, you can see the clear water, green mountains, and colorful boats. The wind feels cool and fresh. Many tourists come here every day to enjoy the calm environment. In the evening, the lights around the bridge make it look even more beautiful and peaceful. It is a famous place to visit.

The most bustling place in Rishikesh where you need to visit once you visit Rishikesh. It's the suspension bridge and most of the famous ashrams are situated on either side of the Ganges once you cross the bridge. You can enjoy boating in the Ganges also, which is near this suspension bridge. There are plenty of eateries nearby where you can have lunch or quick bites. Visit with adequate amount of time for optimum enjoyment.

Ram Jhula in Rishikesh is truly one of the most beautiful and iconic places in the city. While it’s charming at any time of day, if you really want to experience its true beauty and peaceful vibe, visit after 8:30 or 9:00 PM. During the evening, the area can get quite crowded with pilgrims and tourists, but at night, the rush fades away, and you can enjoy the calm, soothing atmosphere by the Ganga River and the ghats. The illuminated bridge reflecting on the water looks absolutely magical — it’s a sight to remember. 🌙 The area feels completely safe for women and families, as police patrols are active and vigilant even late at night. There are no miscreants or disturbances, making it a peaceful place to stroll, sit by the river, or simply absorb the serene energy of Rishikesh. If you love quiet moments, twinkling lights, and the sound of flowing water, Ram Jhula at night will surely touch your heart. 💛

Since the closure of Laxman Jhulla to vehicular traffic, this iconic suspension bridge has become a bustling thoroughfare for both pedestrians and bikers. At any given time, the bridge is adorned with a lively crowd, creating an energetic atmosphere. The view from the bridge, overlooking the majestic Ganga River and the captivating sight of rafting activities below, adds to its charm. Approaching the Ramjhulla parking side, visitors are treated to a picturesque view of the Ganges. Toward the end of the bridge, on the left-hand side, lies Goa Beach, offering a serene escape along the riverbank. Crossing the Jhulla and continuing on the left, one encounters the road leading to Laxman Jhulla. On the right side, the area is adorned with renowned tourist destinations, predominantly ashrams such as Parmarth Niketan, Swargashram, and Sivanand. Notably, the famous Chotiwala restaurants are also situated on this side, providing a taste of local cuisine. The allure of Ram Jhulla is further heightened during the evening when the entire structure is illuminated, casting a warm glow across the surroundings. This nightly transformation enhances the bridge's beauty, creating a captivating ambiance that draws visitors to witness the enchanting play of lights against the backdrop of the flowing Ganga River. Ram Jhulla stands not only as a functional crossing but also as a symbol of vibrancy and charm in the heart of Rishikesh. Significance & Function Spiritual Hub: Connects important spiritual centers like Sivananda Ashram and Swargashram, making it a vital crossing point for devotees. Tourist Attraction: A major landmark that provides panoramic views of the Ganges, the Himalayan foothills, and the surrounding temples. Access to Ashrams: Provides easy access to ashrams and other religious sites situated along its banks. Nice experience, Devine place, One can visit on weekends. When you will just cross Ram Jhula, turn left side (instead of right)100 meter, a beautiful view is waiting for you.you will find benches on the bank of Ganga or you go down on sand beach. Opposite to benches economic and good guest houses are available @₹700-₹3500. If you want go to some crowded place or market then turn right from Ram Jhula. There you may participate in ganga aarti, shoping, fooding, tea, coffee, etc. Yes, walking around is nice, when you reach Laxman jhula must enjoy Honey-ginger lemon tea.

10/10 place. I went there for just hanging out. The weather inside is amazing. Beautiful scenery. You can roam around the whole place. Imagine how the movies were shot there. See the rich history of the building. The pictures I shot were pure gold. There is also a ticket to enter of ₹25 and I suggest you to take your own personal vehicle there but it is not a necessity.

Visited FRI Dehradun yesterday during the rainy weather and it felt absolutely magical. The lush green lawns, the grand colonial architecture, and the mountains in the backdrop create a cinematic vibe. Took some great photos on the open ground it’s the kind of place that makes you pause and just enjoy the moment. If you're ever in Dehradun, FRI is a must-visit

Hiking area
GucchuPani, also known as Robber's Cave, is a popular tourist spot in Dehradun with a fascinating history. Legend has it that the cave was once a dwelling place of Lord Shiva and during British rule, robbers used it to hide their loot. The natural formation of the cave between conglomerate and limestone adds to its allure. Visitors can enjoy the serene surroundings and even take a dip in the waterfall.
It's a very beautiful & amazing place to hang out with your loved ones. Once you enter you'll be mesmerized by it's scenery & you can take dive into the waterfalls. The ticket price is 35rs for adults but the drawback is they only accept cash no option for online, so you better carry the loose money. Entry was smooth as we went there early so there was no rush as such. Parking was available nearby with 100rs charges for 4 wheeler. You have to wear slippers because of the waterfalls. You can rent the slippers as there were many sellers. You have many shops on the side lane for breakfast & snacks. The best time to visit there is summers. Hope you all find this helpful 🙏 🙏

Robber’s Cave in Dehradun is a naturally beautiful spot—a narrow gorge with a stream running through it—but honestly, it didn’t feel as peaceful as I’d hoped. The place was overcrowded, which took away from its natural charm and made it hard to enjoy the serene vibe I was expecting. The rock formations and cold water are impressive, and it could be a lovely experience if you manage to go at a quiet time. But if you’re looking for a calm, reflective escape or somewhere to just breathe and soak in nature, this isn’t the best choice on busy days
Bhargavi — Google review
After spending days in the hills, visiting Gucchipani felt like a refreshing little adventure. The place is known for its natural cave formation where a cold stream flows right through the rocks — and walking barefoot in that crystal-clear water is pure fun. As soon as I entered the narrow cave, the temperature dropped and the sound of running water echoed beautifully. Sunlight peeking through the gaps above created a magical vibe. It’s not a long trek, but every step inside feels like walking into nature’s own secret tunnel. The water was icy cold — perfect to beat the heat — and it was amazing to just sit near the waterfall at the end, dip your feet, and let the calmness sink in. Outside, there are a few small cafes serving Maggi, chai, and pakoras — the perfect mountain snack combo after the walk.
Praveen G — Google review
The crowd ruined the experience as there was hardly any space to truly appreciate its beauty. The cave was overcrowded, and the water flow was minimal—made worse by the number of people, making even the dirty water hard to see. The ticket price is ₹30 per person. It’s better to go on foot, as the route is not suitable for cars or other vehicles. To enjoy it properly, avoid visiting on weekends or during rainy days.

A beautiful and unique spot in Dehradun! Robbers Cave (Guchhu Pani) is perfect if you enjoy nature and a bit of adventure. Walking through the cold stream between high rock walls is an amazing experience — super refreshing, especially in summer. The place is easy to reach and has basic facilities like changing rooms, lockers, and food stalls nearby. However, it can get quite crowded on weekends and cleanliness could be better. Try to visit early morning for a calmer vibe. Avoid going during heavy rains as the water level rises quickly. Overall, a must-visit place for a short getaway or a fun day with friends and family.
Shubham S — Google review
It’s a good natural place to visit in Dehradun. You can walk through the natural caves in the water and if you keep walking in the end you get of caves but can still walk with the stream. There are some spots to jump in and play in the water. Near the entrance there are so many shops selling swim clothes, renting flip flops and providing locker and changing room service. It’s very popular place and hence very crowded. There is plenty of parking space but since it gets crowded it can hard to find a parking spot. I would suggest coming early in the morning to avoid the crowds and also have enough time to explore. The river can be dangerous and is prone to flash floods. Be careful in rainy season and follow the advice of the staff.

A must-visit place in Dehradun! Gucchupani (Robber’s Cave) is a truly unique spot where you can walk barefoot through cool, flowing water between beautiful natural rock formations. The whole experience feels refreshing and adventurous at the same time. The water is crystal clear, and the surroundings are calm, making it a perfect escape from city life. It’s best to visit in the morning or late afternoon when it’s less crowded. Carry an extra pair of clothes and slippers, as you’ll definitely want to wade through the stream. There are also small eateries nearby for snacks and tea. Overall, a peaceful and fun experience with family or friends — highly recommended if you’re in Dehradun!

A beautiful place to visit, weather it is with your beau, with friends or with your family. The serenity of the place is astonishing. The steps to Kempty falls is not so steep and is easily a short trek. The Kempty falls also provides a Ropeway cable for a price of Rs. 250/- per person (but all in cash) 😐. The snacks and food prices are a little steep but worth the climb. The Kempty falls also features boating area and a Drone camera facilities, on top of this, bathing facility is also there, where one can rent bathing suit for a price and enjoy.

Watching the sunrise in Mussoorie is truly one of the most magical experiences you can have in the hills. As the first light breaks over the mountains, the entire valley glows in shades of orange, pink, and gold — it’s absolutely breathtaking. The cool morning breeze, the chirping of birds, and the peaceful silence make it feel like time stands still for a moment.
Somesh P — Google review
Kempty falls is one of the best places to visit in Mussoorie. The water falls from quite a height and is rather a magnificent sight. The waterfall can be accessed by climbing down some 150 steps or by a ropeway. It is a series of falls and can be viewed from different levels. The approach to the fall has large uneven steps and is not well arranged or maintained. But there are a few places where you can bathe in the collected water. There are some food stalls around and you can sit and eat with your feet dangling in the cool water. 30-45 minutes should be enough to visit the place. Highly recommended.
