Great place to have fun!

This is a very nice water park. If you have the chance to be in other water parks around the world, this is very basic. But it's really lovely for Uruguay. Be aware of some bite flies or Mosquitoes in the area
Ariel E — Google review
This is a review for the restaurant. The park was awesome. Review for La Casona Restaurant Unfortunately, our experience at La Casona was disappointing. None of us were happy with our meals—everything we ordered was either hard, lacked flavor, or was strangely prepared. It really missed the mark on all fronts. On top of that, we were surprised to see a charge of $2.20 per person just for using utensils, which was printed right on the menu. That’s a first for us, and frankly, it felt unreasonable—especially considering the food quality. In the end, we decided not to waste the rest of our time or money and went somewhere else for desert. Would not recommend.

International Friendship Bridge

Mentioned on

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
The International Friendship Bridge is a 1,812-ft.-long arch bridge with a pedestrian path that connects the cities of Foz do Iguacu in Brazil and Ciudad del Este in Paraguay. It symbolizes the union between the two countries and was constructed during the 1950s and 1960s over the Parana River. The bridge links Ciudad del Este to Foz do Iguazu and also shares a border with Puerto Iguazu in Argentina.
So fun to walk from one country to the next, not a far distance and wow! What an experience! I wouldn’t recommend going at night and not for inexperienced travelers.
Dana S — Google review
Walked to Paraguay from Brazil. If you're actually going to stay in Paraguay (and not merely shop there for a day), then be sure to get an exit stamp in your passport from the Brazil side of the bridge (Paraguay immigration will make you go back to Brazil if you don't have the exit stamp). Good views of the border river (Parana) from the bridge!
David G — Google review
I love the sunset and the show in the international friendship bridge 😁 The architecture is marvelous as well. It was a pleasant experience.
Agatha H — Google review
The bridge itself is nice but vehicular traffic was very bad going to Ciudad del Este. We crossed in a bus around 10AM on Thursday. Returning to Brazil by bus, the traffic was better.
Rick R — Google review
It got me to Paraguay and back. Use the right side of the bridge each way walking over. Locals don’t need to stop at immigration on either side but if you’re not local stop and get your Brazil exit stamp and Paraguay entry stamp, and the opposite in return. Brazil immigration was a little hard to find one booth serves both sides, Paraguay has a building on each side.
Collin — Google review
Most disgusting border crossing I’ve ever seen. Dirty, noisy, stinking and smelly. DISGUSTING !
JC C — Google review
I took an Uber to the bridge which cost me £3. I walked across the bridge with no problem. I’m a single middle-aged female on my own and no one troubled me. I did a little shopping and I came back again. I didn’t even make a stop at immigration nobody seemed interested. No problem. I got a cold beer near the bridge and I ordered an Uber back to my hotel, which cost me £2. I was advised to use the buses I didn’t get on with that because I couldn’t figure out which bus or how to pay
Maria B — Google review
The view from the bridge is very nice. But the bridge is in a very rough shape. It’s super dirty and it looks like it’s not being maintained at all.

Canion Fortaleza Cambara do Sul is a must-visit destination located in the Serra Geral National Park, just 23 km from the city center. It boasts impressive geological formations with cliffs reaching up to 1,240 meters, offering breathtaking panoramic views of deep valleys, rivers, and even the coastline on clear days. This natural wonder not only showcases stunning beauty but also provides numerous adventure activities for visitors.
Long walk, but worth it! Beautiful place and a must-do in Rio Grande do Sul. Remember to bring a jacket as it is an open place at the top and quite windy!
Caroline S — Google review
Incredible views and beautiful nature! There are great hikes and the canyons are worthwhile seeing from the top and the bottom. Rain can close the hikes through the streams. There is dirt road access to the park entrance at the top that is shorter, or a longer non dirt road route. After the entrance there is a little bit of dirt road to the parking. Once parked, the hikes are amazing!! Loved my time here!
André S — Google review
If you have the opportunity to see the canion, GO! I took a ton of pictures, and I don't think any of those shots does justice. I had my 20lb son strapped to my chest for this hike. I suggest being in good health if you plan to reach to the top. I may not try hiking that for another 10 years when my son can walk himself up that thing. At the top is a view like no other.
Michael ( — Google review
Wonderful! A must visit place when you go to Gramado or Canela. You can go through different trails but the Mirante Trail is the most impressive. Beautiful canions and nature.
Francisco M — Google review
Super beautiful place, there is a trail to arrive there, but worth every step, once you get there you feel like in the top of the world
Paulo H — Google review
The nature around is just stunning. Best rating for this. We came during the week so it wasn't crowded. But there are other things not working, we cannot give 5 stars. It's serious... Some things you need to know before you come to Cânion Fortaleza, as well as Itaimbrezinho: - make sure you can handle rough roads as a driver. Some parts are still in progress, some are just crazy roads. - there is no official information in English on the website right now. Translate with translator and hope it did its job well. - if you start from Porto Alegre: I recommend to come here by car. There is literally no good option to come here with public transport. Maybe rent one, which can handle rough terrain... - as a foreigner it's not possible to get a license for a drone rn. You cannot register on ANAC without CPF. Just Brazilian citizens have one. A problem that needs to be solved (you can't book a bus online without a cpf as well... How to travel then?) Maybe national offices could at least communicate the local registrations for drones international? Less annoying work for everyone. - you want to do the left way at the waterfall? There is no sign where the trail continues, you have to walk at the guideline which normally marks borders, we asked later, after giving up finding a objectively good path. You're supposed crossing the river close to the edge of the waterfall (you maybe get wet, but bathing is forbidden, lol). That's not a trail, that's adventure without good information, man. You cannot make good decisions for yourself with this. Big saftey issue. Please, take it serious! That's not okay! The company which is responsible for the park at the moment needs to work on several things. - providing more information in general PROACTIVE - if maintaining some trails due to weather conditions etc. isn't possible, you MUST provide these information to all visitors when arriving. With well placed signs etc. Depends on you, but it MUST work. The barely placed wooden planks you put on muddy and wet spots on the trail once are not enough to pass the mud. Visitors are paying a lot of money for the entrance to park infrastructure. So do your work. We were there during the week, I've seen at least 10 people standing idle for a long time, just staring at their mobile phones, not making any attempt to help. We unfortunately don't speak Portuguese, but as a national park maintaining company, working with tourists, you have to give information in English as well. It's international standard, welcome to the 21th century. Without our Portuguese speaking friend translating for us, this trip would have ended in a disaster. PLEASE train your employees. - don't blame the people if they are criticizing valid points. Be professional like estimated and give valid arguments, not your own opinion. Opinion is for private life, not for work. Thanks for reading this review and noticing.
Towi — Google review
Be aware of the entrance charge, which can be pricey if you are planning to pay for the whole family. I won't post the fee here because prices go up pretty often in Brazil. The views are stunning as long as it's not cloudy or rainy. Check the weather forecast before booking any tours!
Marcos G — Google review
Incredible energetic place! Was here where I had faced the most strong wind that I had ever seen. Perfect views! Miss me words to explain how magic was my visit to this place. I truly recommend the visit 👍🏼. P. S. : make sure to bring with you water and some snacks.

Beer hall
Vila Germânica Park is a Bavarian-style village featuring half-timbered buildings housing shops and eateries, including the renowned Bier Vila. The park hosts the city's most traditional festival, Oktoberfest, offering a chance to savor regional cuisine and experience the largest concentration of German-style buildings, along with shops, restaurants, and breweries. Additionally, during Christmas in Blumenau, the park becomes part of a festive program with illuminated streets and outdoor Christmas displays.
"Oktoberfest Blumenau is an incredible celebration of culture and tradition! The atmosphere is vibrant, with lively music, fantastic parades, and authentic German food and beer. The attention to detail in the costumes and decorations really adds to the experience. It's well-organized, and despite the large crowds, everything runs smoothly. Whether you're there for the music, the beer, or just to soak up the energy, it’s a festival that should not be missed. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a taste of Germany in Brazil!"
Karan K — Google review
Very nice and interesting how they made it. A second German country 🤩
Sara B — Google review
We went for Oktoberfest so was great to visit. Well set up and decorated. Like a little German village dull of shops as well as the large hall where the live bands and dancing was held. Extremely busy on the Saturday, hard to walk and waited in line for food, beer or toilet for at least 20 minutes. Friday was better as less people. You can purchase the ticket across the road for the Oktoberfest before entering. Full german costume gets you half price entry. Food was average.
Shannon T — Google review
For me as a German, really interesting to see what is considered typical German in Brasil. There are not many people, as we came here during a rainy day.
Florian F — Google review
Great family fun here. Many great shops and eateries. Great Christmas decorations and displays. One restaurant had live German music playing. An excellent walk. Make sure you check for parking before you arrive. Parking can be challenging.
Mark P — Google review
Nice park with lovely decorative and settings. Good music! Did not go on October fest but nice to see any time.
Antoine A — Google review
Dissapointing visit. Was expecting more of it. Just 2 streets. 5 weeks before easter and they where hanging the whole park full of easter eggs to many for my liking. Very touristic pricing was crazy.
Rik S — Google review
Exactly what it says it is: a tourist attraction with overpriced foods, drinks, and souvenirs. Food quality is fair. We visited during the Christmas event.

The Beer Museum Blumenau, established in 1996 and currently undergoing renovations for a reopening in the second half of 2022, offers an immersive journey through the history of beer production in Santa Catarina. Visitors can explore antique brewing equipment and watch videos that showcase the evolution of beer-making processes over time. The museum's collection includes artifacts from major breweries such as Feldmann and Brahma, providing insight into the region's rich brewing heritage.
An amazing experience! Roberto walked me through the museum and I was amazed at the quality of the presentation, information presented, and the thoughtfulness behind each part of the museum. It is very well curated and offers a lot of information not only about the process of making beer but the history too. A must see if you are in Blumenau!
Brandy B — Google review
English speaker gave us the full interactive (tested 3 beers!) tour and explained how beers are made. Lovely historic items to see. Explained about the regular flooding in the city of Blumenau also. Recommend and allow one hour at least.
Helena P — Google review
Who would have thought it a beer museum in Brazil? There is a limited amount to see inside but this is more than compensated for by the entertaining and highly knowledgeable guide. Who would have thought that a Brazilian knew about Thornbridge Brewery. Well worth the visit
W F — Google review
This was a fantastic tour! The guide was able to offer it in English, which is rare in Brazil generally, making it a great option for international visitors. There was lots of interesting information throughout, and you even get to taste a few beers along the way. All in all, it was a really good experience, well worth the money. Highly recommend it!
Wenderson — Google review
I think it is 60 reals but includes drinks and a tour guide (English) as well. Next to the river. Including nearby buildings!
Antoine A — Google review
We went only to the bar. Some good draft beers but the food is expensive and not worth it really. The river view is nice.

Visitors can purchase entrance tickets for an intimate experience with the well-cared-for animals. The zoo offers a diverse range of animals from South America and Brazil, providing a unique opportunity to see species not commonly found elsewhere. The lush surroundings and friendly staff contribute to a perfect zoo experience.
I would definitely go again! The place is clean, the animals are taken well cared; you can see that by the size of the places where they are kept and we were able to see the workers feeding, cleaning... I would suggest going later in the afternoon or early morning because of the hot weather.
Daniela M — Google review
Really cool zoo. Small but a good variety of animals. Very clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fun outing in this part of Santa Catarina. Don't miss the maned wolf exhibit!
Clay M — Google review
A beautiful place, well organized, had a nice diversity of animals and are beautiful and health animals.
Gabriel M — Google review
We visited here in July 2023, it was fantastic. The animals looked happy and healthy. You get a very intimate experience and view of them all. I got to see a few animals from South America and Brazil that I hadn't seen before, or knew existed. There are lots of lovely trees around the zoo itself, the staff were exceptionally kind and friendly. A perfect zoo experience! I was also offered a teacher's discount (I am a school teacher in New Zealand), if I provided proof/ID, so educators - be sure to bring your ID with you!

Beto Carrero World is the largest theme park in Latin America, located in Penha. It offers a mix of thrilling entertainment with themed thrill rides, live cabaret shows, and a zoo. The park is known for its variety of attractions suitable for the whole family. Additionally, Penha boasts beautiful beaches and delicious seafood cuisine, making it an ideal destination for a fun-filled vacation.
A great place for a vacation. Beto Carrero stands out to me because this is one of the first amusement parks that I visited outside my home country. The park has a wide variety of food to choose from though I won't recommend having them if you are in there for rides which gets crazy. I did the following rides, Spin: Perhaps one of the easiest rides. I enjoyed it and maybe you would too. Roller Coaster: This one was crazy. I could barely keep my eyes open throughout the ride though my girlfriend enjoyed the ride. She wants to go for it again tomorrow. Madagascar circus: This was brilliant. I loved it, my girlfriend loved it, the kids loved it and everyone loved it. Though I didn't understand Portuguese, I still could make out what was going on in the circus. River adventure: This made me the happiest because I was relaxed throughout the ride and thankfully it didn't try to kill me. Overall, I am very content with the adventure park. It is beautifully decorated with colours and has those majestic rides that give you an instant adrenaline rush. I am planning to go back tomorrow again to secure the rides I missed on Day 1. I will post another review shortly.

As a theme park junkie, BCW provides a magical atmosphere for adrenaline seekers and family outings! The Fire Whip is a best in class inverted coaster and the Madagascar river boat is a never ending water maze of fun. You’ll enjoy the Beto Carrero theme through the entire park - plus it’s clean, and the ride lines weren’t too long (we visited on a Monday). The best part is that the staff were friendly and all aspects were firing on all cylinders - all rides and food open! Whip it good!

It is really nice place to visit with your kids and let your inner child go crazy with them. Somedays It is full occupied with the school kids trips. The staff need to be on top of crowd management during these busy times with school trips. Better rent stroller ( for kids) or scooter for old people or for yourself in case can't walk enough ( it's huge place to walk around for the shows and attractions). Advice you can rent items outside instead of inside the parque as the prices are way higher

Amazing park with tons to do for every age and taste! The only catch is: I recommend buying ONLINE AHEAD of time, as the day they wanted to charge us 3x the price but after letting them know we’d not pay that, the manager checked and they were able to give us a discount but it still cost twice as much. Overall great day between shows and rides, ending with fireworks and every one back. Would go back and get tickets/food choices prior to arriving. Ps. Parking is paid extra and they do allow you to enter with backpacks and water ;)

If I could go back in time, I’d never step foot in this park again. We’re not guests there we’re walking wallets. You guys keep milking us like cows, trying to squeeze every last penny out of us, and we would pay if we were happy , but we were on 100% disappointment . In these photos, you can see a screenshot showing the duration of one of the rides. We waited 45 minutes “Fast Pass” To go for a 40 seconds ride , and you call this “entertainment.” ?? The ride ended before I could even blink, and before you catch your breath, the employee is already rushing you out so the next 600 guests can be pushed in. Absolute garbage. In one of the videos, you can actually see people fighting, angry, shouting, completely frustrated. And that’s where the whole idea of an amusement park disappears. People shouldn’t be angry in a place meant for joy. The woman in that video didn’t even have what it called “Fast Pass” she’d been waiting for three hours. To get a ride for her kids, Meanwhile, your teenage employees move slowly, and couldn’t care less about the people. My advice to the management: Set a limit for yourselves. All this chaos happens because you accept as many guests as you can possibly fit , just to squeeze out a few more millions in the profit margin . Have some decency and put a cap, especially during high season, so people can actually enjoy and leave happy. And please, stop hiring only teenagers. Hire mature, trained adults who can actually handle problems when they arise. My advice to visitors: Avoid this place during high season. If you must go, try March or April , it might be slightly better. Be warned: everything inside is overpriced. Food, drinks, snacks , everything. Popcorn costs +R$30, a basic meal is R$50+, and there are endless extra fees. Don’t think buying the ticket is all you’ll spend , for two adults, expect at least R$300 for entry, another R$200 for the “Fast Pass,” plus 200 drinks and water. In general I won’t come back there again.

Perfect place to enjoy with kids! Beto Carrero park has a lot of attractions (radical, cultural and relaxing) for all ages. I recommend at least 2 days to enjoy most of the attractions If you are travelling with kids. They have partnership with DreamWorks Studios, which allow BCW deliver theme areas and shows, such as Madagascar, Shrek and Trolls.

Highly recommend, buy Fast past ticket to avoid a very long queue "40 to 120 mins". Perfect place for kids and family. You have to see yes or yes Hot Wheels show.

You have to be organize to ride the most attractions possible if you dont have the fast pass the files for most rides are loooooooooong but kinda worth it (?) the food is expensive but overall it was so much fun and a unique experience i wanna come back soon with friends

Parque Vila Velha

Mentioned on

Ecological park
Nature & Parks
Parque Vila Velha is an expansive forest park featuring impressive sandstone cliffs, vertical caves, and a network of cycling and hiking trails. Visitors can take a half-hourly bus to reach the starting point for the sandstone columns, where a walking path of just over 1 km offers stunning views. The park also provides buses to different areas, but some visitors feel limited by the organized transportation. Despite this, it's considered a beautiful natural site with geological and archaeological significance.
Vila Velha is a natural treasure that is worth taking the time to see. The park is under new management and they have done an incredible job making it a destination. This is something you should plan at least half a day to do as there are different attractions spread out. We arrived late which was the only unfortunate part due to quick travel and were still charged full price admission which was a bummer as it wasn’t cheap. About R300 for 6 people to just go see the sandstones. The formations are like being in something like Jurassic park in real like. Definitely recommend visiting! The attendants in the park were super kind and the bus service in the park was excellent especially since we were with my aunt who is a heart patient and cannot walk too long.

We visited this park yesterday on a family trip with my sister and her husband. The park is a national reserve of natural beauty and has plenty of wild life (puma, wolf, armadillo, etc), including many other venous species. The park is well looked after and the paths are clear so that venous species are spotted from distance, such as snakes Jararaca snake, Cascavel snake, Scorpions and many other species. The site was formed over 340 million years ago whilst the continents were still one well before the dinosaurs age. The views are spectacular and incredibly beautiful and the facilities are well organised, clean and safe. There is a restaurant onsite and food bars spread over the sites where there are sightseeing activities and physical activities. The toilets are clean and equipped. The bus transfers between sites were always on time and well organised, although the bus felt a bit old. The site guides were knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. We had a fantastic time. The only upsetting experience was that we bought tickets to do the Arvorismo (tree climbing) and Tirolesa (cable sliding) and because of the morning rain, both activities were cancelled for the whole day but the ticket office was not informed and charged our tickets and of many other visitors. We received a refund at the end of the visit but the refund experience was incredibly difficult and took over 20 minutes to be processed for the 3 of us alone. The refund admin process seemed disorganised, slow and complex. For a moment I thought we wouldn't receive our refund. We had such a great experience during the visit but the check out process of refund has let us down slightly, hence why I removed a star from this review. The car park has a fee of R$28 which is also not very visible in the car park and we only found out because we went to ask for the refund. Overall a great place to visit for families and solo visits. Would certainly recommend or come back.

Place is nice to visit and spend time. One must stick to the routes, not allowed to explore it. Overpriced, considering the distance from the city. The employees could not give proper information when asked about some plants and the place. Formation. You must rely on their code reader to access information. Also, they don't speak foreign languages, other than some basic English.
Josmar P — Google review
The distance from Curitiba is not worth it in my opinion. The entry tickets are expensive. Parking is expensive. You have to buy water, no filters to fill your water bottle. The formations and hike are really cool. The cave is a view from the top which is nice but nothing to write home about. I think they're constructing a way to have closer access to it. It's a relaxed & interesting day out if you have nothing better to do.

Really cool place with a lot of history. A bit expensive for the locals for the entrance fee specifically if you hqve a big family and the parking fees are high as well. The park is beautiful though lot's of history here and nice walk ways to hike or bike. Big tip if you ever come make sure you get here early this way you can do the long hikes or bike the whole park.

Wow! This place is really beautiful and quiet, The restaurant is in front, meaning you can eat in the restaurant without entering the 'Park' you only have to pay the entrance fee when you enter the park. The restaurant really have a good food, and the space in the parking lot is big. Would love the go back! Carambeí is such a charming place overall.

Parque Barigui, also known as Barigui Park, is a popular urban park in Curitiba, Brazil. Covering 1.4 million square meters, it offers a variety of activities for visitors. The park features sports courts, lakeside trails for hiking and biking, a skating rink, and BBQ grills. It was originally the land of pioneer Mateus Martins Leme before being transformed into a park in 1972.
The place is quite spacious, so it's best to arrive early to fully explore the entire garden. It's a popular and beautiful spot in Curitiba, with numerous picturesque locations throughout. Capybaras are abundant and incredibly cute, adding to the charm of the experience. The sunset view is absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to return. The nature is clean, well-kept, and really beautiful. There’s even an amusement area, which adds to the charm. And of course—the capybaras. Amazing Beautiful Park, lots of paved walkways for the elderly, designated bike and run paths, and workout equipment. Last but not least the real reason why anyone goes here, is to see Curitiba's mascot, the world famous Capivaras that tend to be everywhere around the lake and grassy areas. You have to pay $2 bucks for the bathroom, which is kind of crazy since it a city park, but thats what is, bathroom are far apart, so beware with your water intake.

(Translated by Google) I never imagined someone could make a crepe bad. Well, they did. Not to mention the terrible service. I went with my young daughter to buy a simple crepe. The place was empty, and it still took a while. There were two people making it, and the excuse was that "the machine was cold." Well, if it's a place that sells crepes, the ideal is to have the machine warm so the customer doesn't have to wait for a quick snack. I think because I asked if it would still take (as I said, my daughter is little and hungry), it seems they got angry and made her crepe bad. It was a cheese one, and it tasted strange, with a completely hard, brown crust (inedible). I tried to cut the crust so she could at least eat the filling. She took about three bites and said it was bad. And it was. A shame.

(Translated by Google) I ordered a simple pastel and they sent me the wrong order. Instead of accepting the error and sending me the correct one, they chose to put on a show. First, they forced the waitress to bring my pastel back to the table and cut it in half in front of me, trying to prove they'd sent it correctly. But it was wrong, just as I'd said. This left the waitress completely embarrassed; after all, it wasn't her fault, but she was the one who had to make the situation uncomfortable. Then they sent the correct one. But as if that weren't enough, when I went to pay, the cashier (who I assumed was the one in charge) came over to thank me for pointing out the error in the most passive-aggressive way I've ever seen in a restaurant. Even after I paid, she insisted on "thanking me" again, making things even more awkward. For a place that charges non-customers 10 reais to use the restroom, I don't understand the need for such a fuss over a pastel that would have been wasted because of their mistake. In short, I don't recommend it and won't be back.

Museu Oscar Niemeyer, also known as the "Eyes Museum," is a futuristic architectural marvel designed by renowned Brazilian architect Oscar Ribeiro de Almeida Niemeyer Soares Filho. Opened in 2002, it is the largest museum in Latin America and features 12 rooms showcasing contemporary art, design, and architecture. The building itself resembles a giant eye and is perched on a massive yellow pillar, creating an awe-inspiring sight for visitors.
Amazing museum dedicated to one of the most famous architects you will ever come across in Brazil. The museum is very well done and has sufficient reading material as well as displays. Some of the art is interactive and some of it is historical artifacts. There is a lot of modern art and some art from people from Curitiba. The parts of the museum that showcase Niemeyer’s accomplishments are particularly cool, especially if you’ve traveled around and seen some of his works.

It's wonderful to see how an old quarry has been transformed into this magical park. It's a landmark and example for other countries to follow the same. A serene place and very calm. A good place to visit.

(Translated by Google) Overrated trip, it is beautiful yes, but there is nothing grand, in the first hour of the trip, those on the right side only see garbage, debris thrown very close to the tracks, in addition to the lack of zeal along the way, the train is falling apart , bathroom without water, faulty flush, at 8 am the bathroom was already filthy, with many papers thrown on the floor. PETAR - Alto Ribeira State and Tourist Park is a 357-square-kilometer state park located in the Atlantic forest, boasting over 350 caves, waterfalls, and rivers. It is often referred to as Brazil's 'Cave Capital' due to its 450 cataloged caves. The park features four well-equipped visitor centers providing information on cave trips, guides, and campgrounds.
Park is breathtaking, astonishingly lush and magical. Hardly find words to describe it! More than 300 caves and waterfalls are everywhere, people are also really friendly. No doubt it is a international travelers hotspot!

This natural park can offer you a great opportunity to have a deep contact with the nature in different ways! Here you can enjoy a lot of caves with different styles and difficulties, hiking all day long over different directions, even the river in a calm place become a natural pool. For entrance, you should pay a small fee (20 Brazilian Reais, approximately 4 dollars - Sep 2022), and you can free parking in the entrance area. Important: to access the caves, you need hire an official guide from this region to go together to you and/or your group

This virtually unknown park is full of amazing caves, beautiful sceneries, and warm rivers.
Tymon J — Google review
It is a beautiful place. However, one has to have a guide, they tend to serve you primitive attractions (like listening to music in cave) and enforce a number of regulations that neither increase safety nor pleasure (like crossing the river wearing shoes and walking later in wet shoes). Really unpleasent experience. I recommend finding another park to explore Mata Arlantica.
Piotr W — Google review
The caves here are phenomenal and merit more foreign visitors. Some of the caves are huge, others smaller. One is actually a tunnel exiting elsewhere from where there is a lovely 2km trek back. You need to hire an accredited guide beforehand to go with you, or else you will be turned away (as I saw with another car when we arrived). And believe me - you need a guide for your own safety as the caves extend hundreds of meters inside and you'd be in complete darkness if it were not for the guide's knowledge and our helmet torches (supplied by the guide tour agency). My guide was great, Luis from Monotours, with whom I spoke Portuguese. I also used my mobile/cell phone flashlight to better illuminate the stones we often stepped or scrambled over.

Caverna da Tapagem

Nature & Parks
National park
Cave network with vast lit halls viewed by walkways & bridges located in a conservation park.
Huge and very impressive cave, with an illuminated 600m pathway inside. It is well signposted (as Caverna do Diabo) from the highway, including tens of kilometres before the turnoff, well before you arrive. Access is then along a 4km stretch of asphalted road uphill to the large visitor centre where there is plenty of parking and a restaurant. The guides (aka monitors} are all from the local community and operate independently as a co-operative association.
Alistair C — Google review
Incredible kilometres long cave system thats definitely worth a visit when you're nearby. There are many tours that go from Sao Paulo. A guide is obligatory to visit the cave. They are very knowledgable. Near the cave is a restaurant with amenities and parking.

Praia do Guaraú is a vast beach enveloped by lush forests and mountains, forming an ecological reserve. Despite occasionally inclement weather, this beach remains a favorite destination. During the summer months, it becomes bustling with visitors and the village teems with activity. However, in the quieter winter season, tourist numbers dwindle significantly. The pristine sands offer an idyllic setting for leisurely walks.
So peaceful and nice! The people are so kind and accepting of everyone!!

Although we had bad weather (cold and rain) we liked this beach! In the summer it's crowded and it's busy in the village, but in the winter there are not many tourists. Nice to walk along this clean beach!

Parque Zoológico Municipal "Quinzinho de Barros" is a large and popular zoo located in Sorocaba, Brazil. Spanning 15 hectares, it is the second largest zoo in the country in terms of species. The zoo features various animal exhibits, a museum for educational purposes, and a picturesque lake and forest. Visitors can observe rare birds, monkeys, snakes, and other animals while enjoying the tranquil surroundings.
It’s a really worth place to visit. As of April, 2023, entrance fee is 8 BRL per adult, 4 BRL per kid. It’s not so big land, they don’t have any kind of animals such as São Paulo zoo, but it’s not crowded, we can see rare birds, monkeys, snakes and others. Less than 2 hours is enough to see all. We enjoyed our holiday there.

8 real to enter so it's very cheap but it's undoubtedly the worst zoo I've ever been to. Go and see for yourself if you want. You'll see what I'm talking about...
