Imperial Museum is located in the grand 1845 palace of Brazil's first emperor and offers a glimpse into the country's history. The museum was once the summer residence of the Brazilian royal family during the 19th century and was founded by Emperor Dom Pedro II. Visitors can explore this historic site through guided tours, learning about its significance as well as the city of Petropolis, which was established by Dom Pedro II in 1843.
Looooooved it! I felt like the royal family still lived there! Pro: - flows really well - history and layout was perfect - clean and well maintained - free (when I went) - great gardens Con: - average gift shop - had to use slippers on your shoes and floor was super waxed (be careful you can clip) - can't take pictures inside
Brian A — Google review
Access is free on Wednesdays and is a self tour across the palace. It takes about 1hr if you pay attention to the details. Worth visiting in Petrópolis.
Bertha I — Google review
It is a cultural visit to understand how was the daily basics of the emperor and he's wife and way to do so.
Carlos L — Google review
If you were a bad student as me, this is the opportunity to know the history of Brazil. We have just 63 years of kingdom here in Brazil but until our "freedom" or beginning of the democrat republicans there are very interesting issues inside the museum.
D B — Google review
Beautiful palace. Mostly everything written in portuguese You can pay CASH ONLY! The slippers that they give you to put on your shoes are very dangerous and disgusting dirty. Could search for another option for visitors! No photos allowed.
Cristiana F — Google review
Great palace. Free entrance when we went. We had to wear covers for our shoes. Great collection.
Patrick F — Google review
You're required to wear slippers over your shoes to protect the floors, but unfortunately they are one size fits some and you'll likely be pseudo-skating around the museum. Also, you're required to check all belongings before entering, including cameras. Photography is not allowed inside, with or without flash. Other than these minor things, worth the trip! Definitely recommend, just be aware what you're in for.
Garrett P — Google review
Quite interesting to see how decadent the royal family was while their countries (Brazil and Portugal) suffered. The museum is free sometimes and cheap the rest of the time. It would get 5 stars if they allowed photos inside and dispensed with the awkward slippers they furnish you to preserve the hardwood floors.

The pillars..stain glass..statues..seating is awesome. Got some moments of silence and prayers. The cathedral stands evident of various influence in the region.. Excellent visit

What a fabulous structure, amazing how the first two meters of the structure is cut stone while the remainder is built with concrete to represent the people. It is in an idealistic location overlooking the river, and is very well maintained. One thing to be aware of is shorts are not the preferred clothing item. An ideal location for reflection and some quiet time.

History buffs must stop here! Pro: - king and queen grave - gorgeous architecture - incredible carvings - well maintained - free Con: - nothing

Cathedral in Petropolis. After their exile to and death in Europe, the remains of the last Brazilian emperor Pedro II and his wife were laid to rest here in marble tombs. His surviving daughter and her French husband are also entombed here. Of interest to those interested in 19th century imperial history of Brazil.

Complexo Bohemia is a must-visit destination in Brazil, offering an incredible experience for beer enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The complex houses the renowned Bohemia Brewery, a national heritage site built in neoclassical style in 1853. Visitors can explore the fascinating museum of beer, which showcases the rich history of brewing in Brazil. The tour includes tastings of three different Bohemia beers and provides insight into the brewery's heritage.
Full view of the beer process through the windows, store is great. Such a nice place, try to reach on weekends. No need ticket.
Jean F — Google review
I had an amazing experience at Restaurante Cervejaria Bohemia in Petrópolis. The setting is beautiful — inside the historic Bohemia brewery — and the ambiance is lively yet cozy. The food was outstanding! I had the Angus flat iron steak, perfectly cooked and beautifully plated. Everything is clearly designed to pair with their incredible craft beers, which are brewed right there on-site. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the view from the upstairs restaurant added a special touch. After lunch, I visited the brewery museum — which I highly recommend if you’re into beer culture or Brazilian history.
Roberto B — Google review
Nice place, especially beer tasting, gift shop is also interesting😀
Nevena B — Google review
Brazil's oldest brewery was founded by German immigrants in the mountainous summer getaway of Petrópolis in 1853. It was once the preferred beer of the Portuguese royal family. While mass production shifted to São Paulo in 1998, Bohemia reopened its original location in 2012 as a specialty brewery museum, bar, and restaurant. The interactive guided tour explores the history of beer and specifically Bohemia, offering tastings and a visit to the barrel-aging beer cave.
Mihai M — Google review
Esther was an excellent guide! She gave thoughtful, funny and kind insights of the beer process and its history. She also always made sure we had no questions left. Amazing work!
Tiago N — Google review
Deep history:) fun tastings of the beer!
Jimmy H — Google review
Absolutely 5 stars. The venue is very well mainland the 44 real tour was amazing. They did a great job explaining beer making process and so many fun facts.
Flying T — Google review
This was one of the best parts of my visit in Petropolis. The first half of the tour is a museum of the history and science of beer. The displays are in Portuguese, but almost all of them have English translations. The displays were beautiful and informative. The last half is a guided tour. Our guide spoke in Portuguese, which was difficult for me. However, most of the displays were straightforward enough and interesting enough that I wasn't bored and didn't feel left out. After the guided tour, we were given a flight of 3 different beers to taste (and children were given juice so they didn't feel left out). The gift shop had many great gifts for me to bring back home. The restaurant had great vegetarian options (and of course, beer), and the service was excellent. I highly recommend you do this tour!

Casa de Santos Dumont, located in Petropolis, is a museum that was once the summer home of Alberto Santos-Dumont, a pioneering aviator and inventor. The house, built in 1918, showcases his small inventions such as an alcohol shower and meticulously planned furniture. Visitors can observe unique features like stairs with half steps shaped like rackets and low doorways tailored to Santos Dumont's 1.52-meter height.
Tiny place. Learn about Dumont, recommended if you like related topics.

Didn't know this story, but it was the highlight of the whole "Petropolis" tour for me, being that I love aviation.

Brian A — Google review
Nice place, can see why he built a glider to get to the bottom of the mountain. He was a bit later to fly, just after the Wright Brothers.

I went on his birthday and it was very busy, however it was great to learn more about the type of person he was and his lovely house.
Ana B — Google review
Very informative and interesting small museum, one of the best places in Petropolis.
Owen — Google review
The House of Santos Dumont is a great place to visit. I got surprised when I saw how simple he lived behind the big intelligence he had. The history of this great person brings pride of such human and the benefits he brought to the humandade.
Fabio M — Google review
Beautiful site with a rich history and gorgeous scale replicas of Santos' creations, and the original house designed by Santos Dumont himself. The entrance fee is decent, and they offer a video (with English subtitles) that tells the true story of Mr. Dumont. This is a must-visit site for fans of aviation history. Keep in mind the stairs are steep (which is part of the original history of the house), but there is an elevator available for people who have difficulty.

Arenas & Stadiums
Maracanã, also known as Estadio Jornalista Mario Filho, is a legendary stadium in Rio De Janeiro and the largest in Brazil. With a seating capacity of around 78,500 fans, it has hosted Olympic games and significant international sporting events. The construction involved renowned architects such as Waldir Ramos and Miguel Feldman. A visit to Maracanã is a must for soccer enthusiasts visiting Rio De Janeiro.
Immersive experience, this place is oozing passion and history. The tour is interesting and not too long so it keeps the attention of the younger kids too. You can buy additional activities such as goal kicks, holding up team flag at the stadium and have a picture with a trophy. The kick is worth it, the picture with the flag seems unnecessary, as you can just take a photo yourself that is almost as good. Everyone is friendly. The wait for the goal kick is a littlebit longer than it should be.
Mathias S — Google review
A historic place that you must visit once in Rio. Has a lot of activities and very nice museum with all famous players that pass from Brazil.
Charalampos P — Google review
It was extremely easy and fast to get tickets for a game that day, we went to the ticket office 1 and got the tickets. We got to the stadium with 2 and a half hours early and it was great and easy since we were some of the first to go in. The seats are first come first serve so it was great and we got amazing seats on one of the first rows. There is no great food there, only snacks like chips and popcorn. But overall it was a great experience and 100% will do next time I visit rio.
Luciana — Google review
What an intense and fun experience! It's open seating so if you want center, be there early. The street vendors were great for grabbing snacks and drinks before the game. The prices for beer were decent inside as well. Get ready to stand as these fans are passionate and fun. It may be easier to go to a ticket office in town than try the app. About 8 outta 12 of us could get scanned successfully for our facial recognition ticket on our phone.
Bill D — Google review
Growing up watching legends play at Maracanã, visiting this iconic stadium was a dream come true. The atmosphere is electric, and being in a place filled with so much football history is unforgettable. The tour is well-organized, giving great insight into Brazil’s deep passion for the sport. Walking through the tunnel and standing pitch-side gave me chills. If you love football, Maracanã is a must-visit. Truly one of the world’s great stadiums!
Russo G — Google review
A must for every football fan. The tour organization is not the best compared to other stadiums guided tours in South America like El Monumental and La Bombonera. The extra tours do not worth it unless you are a big fan of any of the teams. On regard extra activities the Pele's museum is the only that worth it, but quite expensive and should be included on stadium tour.
Luis D — Google review
Maracanã is always fun; full or empty. It feels a bit strange to walk into the Maracanã today; it looks like a 'mini Maracanã.' I frequented the stadium between 1998 and 2008, and it seemed much bigger then. But as I said, it is fun—don't miss the opportunity to go if you get the chance!"
Petrus S — Google review
Visiting Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro is an unforgettable experience for any sports or culture enthusiast. As one of the most iconic football stadiums in the world, Maracanã embodies the passion and spirit of Brazilian soccer. From the moment you approach its grand structure, you can feel the history—this is where legends like Pelé, Zico, and Ronaldo made their mark. The guided tour is well-organized, offering fascinating insights into Brazil’s football legacy, from World Cup moments to local club rivalries. Walking through the players’ tunnel and stepping onto the edge of the pitch feels almost sacred. The museum displays trophies, jerseys, and photographs that beautifully capture decades of glory and heartbreak. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, making the visit engaging even for those who aren’t huge football fans. The stadium itself is clean, accessible, and safe, with plenty of photo opportunities and a small café for refreshments. If you can, attend a live match—especially a Flamengo or Fluminense game—because the electric energy of 70,000 fans chanting and waving flags is unlike anything else in the world. Maracanã isn’t just a sports venue; it’s a living monument to Brazil’s national pride and love for the beautiful game.

Vista Chinesa is a picturesque lookout point situated in the Tijuca Forest of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 1903 Chinese-style pavilion stands at an elevation of 380m and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city, mountains, and sea.
Well signed trail, steep at times and you can walk to from the Rio museum or take your car up the hill

Nice piece of history and beautiful view of Rio
Nicole H — Google review
Lovely even on a cloudy day. We took the “easy” route that was paved with cyclists.
Mariah J — Google review
Incredible view of Rio below. We went on a day that was (sadly) a bit overcast and it was difficult to see all the sights well, although a large sign is posted with an image of how the different landmarks can be seen and identified from this spot. The pavilion is quite beautiful and with a roof that shines in the sun like brass or copper. You can drive up, but we saw many people walking or biking up the steep and winding roads, the trails look awesome and I wished I had budgeted time to hike through some of the dense trees and foliage there in the Tijuca park. I'm sure you will want to do standard hiking prep of good shoes and lots of insect repellent. The view from both Vista Chinesa and from the Emperors table are well worth the time and trouble to get there, spectacular.
An'e P — Google review
The trail up in well trodden but quite steep in places. I took a moto taxi to the Museum of the City of Rio’s History and walked from there. Took about 45mins. Not really a spot for the sunset because the sun goes down behind you (in June) so you get some nice colour behind Pão de Açúcar and o Rendentor. Way down is fun in the dark, take a torch.
Richard E — Google review
There are some gorgeous trails and viewpoints all along the road and this is one of them. Take about half a day to go around all of them, you can spend more time if you want to do the many trails available. The forest area and greenery are worth visiting and the security staff at the gates are very helpful. Keep some water with you as it can get hot and humid in the trail areas depending on when you go. It is also great for biking if you are up for it. There are no rentals available at the spot, so you will have to arrange for these beforehand elsewhere.

Tijuca National Park, located in Rio de Janeiro, is a remarkable urban rainforest offering a variety of activities for nature enthusiasts. Spanning 9,600 acres within the Atlantic Forest, it boasts diverse terrains, waterfalls, caves and an abundance of wildlife. The park attracts over 3 million visitors annually who come to explore its numerous hiking trails and enjoy birdwatching while taking in breathtaking vistas of Rio's iconic landmarks.
We barely did any research. We took an Uber for $15 USD from Copacabana. Got dropped off at the visitor's center. There was no entrance fee. A lot of easy trail. Got to see two waterfalls. There was no signal for our phones but we didn't get lost. We got to see monkeys. And other animals. It was nice to get away from the city stress and traffic. I would recommend this place if you love nature, walking around and explore, and get away from the city.

Such an amazing place. From the tram station ride to the mountain top to the steps up the cliffside. The views are incredible and on a clear day like today you can see for hundreds of miles. Jutting out from the ocean you can see the sugarloafs and landscapes. Take your time and spend the day there. Have lunch or a snack be sure to bring water and hydrate and just enjoy. I shot these arial pictures and videos with a dji mini pro 3 drone. You can see full edits on my YouTube channel. I hope you can feel the breathtaking images.

If your intention is to have a good sports day away from the beach, this is a great alternative. There are many different hiking trails here from the very easy to much more complex ones and even a trail for the seeing impaired!!! 👀 we went with a guide, a tour that ended up being very interesting. But there were many groups of people that were just in groups doing their own thing , so I don't necessarily think you have to have a guide. There's a cup of nice waterfalls , not all of them you can bathe in , but the one that we visited for swimming was more of a shower than actual swimming pond! Good place to also escape the heat of the city.Even though we were told by our guide that when it's very hot outside , it gets double hot sauna style in there. Unfortunately, for us, we did not get to see many animals. We heard lots of birds that we did not see and we saw some monkeys. But I was hoping to see much more. And unfortunately when we went that was not the case. As far as what you should wear while you're there , we were in sneakers and t shirt and shorts. We did see some people wearing tall hiking boots and walking sticks. The bathrooms in the park itself are free. But there are trails that have a cafe with bathrooms but they charge almost 4 reals .. You are discouraged at all times of feeding the animals however I did see some locals giving bananas to the monkeys.

A unique experience at Tijuca National Park with our guide Erik from Get Your Guide. He was incredibly friendly, informative, and encouraged us to fully enjoy the caves and trails. The hike through the jungle was absolutely worth it—beautiful views, rich nature, and even some wildlife sightings.

Tijuca National Park was great. It hike was very Chakraborty but so worth every step. We saw toucans and monkeys. It was quite the experience. We really enjoyed ourselves. Entering the bat caves was a highlight for all of us. I totally recommend Tijuca National Park for anyone up for a challenging hike and any with a desire to see a real Brazilian rain forest.

The national park is stunning! As you venture deeper into the forest, the scenery becomes increasingly breathtaking. I had a great time biking here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Along with catching a glimpse of the Christ Reemder view, I also had the chance to observe a variety of trees, bamboo forests, birds, monkeys, and even pythons. The forest is adorned with intermittent waterfalls that add to its charm. This location is a must-visit for any nature enthusiast.

Pedra Bonita

Mountain peak
Sights & Landmarks
Pedra Bonita, located in Tijuca National Park near the Atlantic Coast, offers a stunning hiking trail and hang-gliding port with panoramic views. The 696-meter peak provides breathtaking landscapes of Tijuca Forest National Park, Pedra da Gavea, Sao Conrado and Barra beaches. Visitors can explore the biodiverse wonderland with natural gems like Gruta do Inferno cave and Cascatinha Waterfall.
Sooooo beautiful! A free hike to the top with an incredible view. You’re able to take an Uber or taxi to the top if you don’t want to hike much. If you take your car it’s only a $2 dollar parking. From the furthest parking spot it’s about a 30 minute sweaty hike up. It’s so worth it and the view is as great or better than the view from sugarloaf. But I recommend bringing bug spray. The mosquitoes there are very thirsty, haha. There’s also an opportunity for just $160 dollars to go hang gliding but there’s a weight limit of about 90-100 kilos depending on the wind that day. It includes a video, pictures and the ride to the top. I did it and it was an amazing experience.
Peter M — Google review
Would absolutely recommend the Pedra Bonita hike to anyone visiting Rio. The views are astounding - a short and relatively easy hike for a huge gain. There’s a cafe/bar with wifi at the start/finish too.
Nina M — Google review
Breathtaking! Stunning! Muito legal!! This place is truly amazing. Also it's a very easy hike to great views of pedra da gavea and all of Rio West and East! You can also walk up the parking lot past the trail entrance to a bar and the runway for the hang gliders! 😍😍 Recommend for families who want an amazing view of mother nature! You can take an Uber or taxi to the entrance and walk up the very steep driveway, but once at the trail it's fairly quick and simple.
Henry M — Google review
Beautiful view and easy hike. Two tips— 1. Check the weather forecast before you go. Cloud can make you lose the view 2. If going by Uber, be aware that you have to hike up from the bend in the road and can’t go the whole way to the parking lot in the car. You also will not have cell service at the drop off point and will have to walking about 5 minutes down hill to get service to call a ride back to town.
A L — Google review
An absolute must if you are in the area. After nice hike up the mountain you are greeted by some of the most amazing views you will see in Brazil. I expected it to be nice, but it far exceeded those expectations and pictures do not do it justice. We spent a nice bit of time at top just taking in the views before hiking back down the mountain. Make sure to have water for this experience.

The hang gliding from Pedra Bonita was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Nerve wracking waiting for your turn/the wind to be good, but it was worth it for the amazing views.

Curupira Recreio dos Bandeirantes is a stunning beach located about 40 minutes away from Ipanema and Copacabana. It's a favorite spot for surfers and bodyboarders, with strong winds and waves making it ideal for water sports. The beach offers a serene escape from the tourist crowds, set against the backdrop of an Atlantic forest reserve.
We were there in November. A very interesting place. Luxury hotels and apartments are located next to the exotic, noisy, narrow streets of the favela.

Hello tourists. This is RECREIO beach.A strip of sand for about 10 km or so.It´s after Barra and before Macumba and the stone. It was wild back them, nobody at all. There you see a labor city and none peasant, athlete or entertainer. It´s only sand,no stones or bricks in the way.I remeber a nature with stone in the middle of the beach ahead ,in Prainha and macumba is cut by a stone also. The quiosques still about old generation,I think few of woods, closed long time with only a few fidel customers or so.It´s about yourselve. The beach has nothing actually. If you have cash or seek hanging or so.I loved do this course by myself, admire femsle athletes and very loyals. But even for a bolshoii dancer she would complain a lot about so much studies in her country to see litter, low wages and people struggling close to her.And many other complains.... Was good, her coach would avise her.I am sure she understand only of practice. Maybe kyte needs crowds or close to civilization, nobody is up to show and desert brazil. This is our biggest beach and desert so far. No safe guards, dangerous waters. No kind at all. Good walk!

Prainha Beach is a charming and small cove beach located in Rio de Janeiro, offering a rustic surf haven with excellent surfing conditions. However, swimming can be dangerous due to strong currents. The area is free from high-rise buildings, providing a refreshing escape with occasional wooden fish restaurants and ice-cold coconut water stands.
Visiting Prainha was an unforgettable experience. Tucked away in a stunning natural setting, the beach feels like a hidden paradise surrounded by lush green hills and dramatic cliffs. The golden sand and crystal-clear water made it perfect for both relaxing and taking a refreshing swim. The waves were gentle in the morning and more lively in the afternoon, making it a great spot for surfers and swimmers alike. Despite its beauty, Prainha maintained a peaceful, uncrowded atmosphere that made the day feel truly special. Whether you’re looking to sunbathe, explore the scenic trails nearby, or just soak in the breathtaking views, Prainha is a must-visit destination that captures the very best of nature’s charm.

The beach itself is amazing, beautiful it blends the city with nature, just by turning around a corner.. Great options to eat seafood based meals and an amazing spot for surfing. Which makes it not so welcoming to swimmers, cause there usually are a lots of waves. Phone reception over there is really bad, so getting an uber to leave the place might be an ordeal, i'd recommend a car, a bycicle or accept the fact that you might have to walk back part of the way before u can get Internet again (but there is a chance that u'll get internet over there).

Abricó Beach

Abricó Beach is a spacious and relaxed nude beach in Rio de Janeiro, offering stunning views of offshore islands. It's a hidden gem among the city's beaches, providing an option for those looking to tan without tan lines. The naturist area is accessible by walking past large rocks on the left side of the beach. While it offers a great place to swim and enjoy nature, some visitors have reported encountering inappropriate behavior from certain individuals.
Love this nude beach. It's near Classico but on the opposite side of the entrance behind the rocks. There is no signal in the area so you will need to plan ahead, carry cash for a taxi, or walk the hill for a signal.

Relaxing coast about 1 hour to 90 minute away from copa. Less people and nude optional. Be ware the phone reception isn’t the best so calling a Uber to return to ipenma isn’t straight forward
Sheng C — Google review
Great bar and great atmosphere. It's well worth the trip out here and it's also a great spot for a swim. We were here mid week in the early afternoon, so it wasn't busy at all, but imagine it'd get crowded on weekends.
Guy — Google review
Two places in one. If looking at the sea, on your right you have the regular beach, but on your left (passing those large rocks) you got a nudist beach. The whole place is wonderful. Today the water was clean and transparent, so you could see your feet. The only problem is to get back home, since there's not phone signal there. You should schedule with a driver to pick you up.
Rodrigo G — Google review
Fantastic as it’s calmer for kids. Warm water. Fun for adults as well.
Esmeralda B — Google review
Hidden gem. If you walk past the left side corner and go by and around big rocks on the beach sand you get access to the naturist area where clothing is optional. Great place to go for a swim and hang out for a bit in nature. It could really be an idilic place if it were not for the super weird men who are there not to be in harmony with nature but rather to let their sexual nature come out aggressively and extremely impolitely.
Gustavo R — Google review
Excellent beach. Sea is rough in the middle. Recommend staying on the right hand side of the beach, close to the rocks. The water is a bit calmer there and a car park is available.

Park
Itatiaia National Park, Brazil's first national park, boasts a diverse range of landscapes from dense rainforests to rugged peaks. The lower section offers accessible trails leading to waterfalls and natural swimming holes, while the remote high country provides excitement for serious hikers and climbers. Visitors can enjoy abundant flora and fauna including orchids, monkeys, and tropical birds. Accessing the upper portion may require a high-clearance vehicle due to challenging roads.
Wonderful national park at Itataia. It's possible to visit the park on foot, bike or by car. Visitors entering the park by car must pay an extra fee (around R$ 24,00) to take it's paved and non paved roads on a motored vehicle. The activities available at the park for visitors range from a beautiful cultural centre with many historical highlights, track trails in a rich forest terrain, magnificent waterfalls to admire and freshen up, numerous bird watching spots, and exuberant viewpoints of the Mantiqueira Mountain and it's wildlife. The difficulty of tracks may vary a lot. Upon entry on the park, visitors are given a detailed map, which shows what's possible to do whilst visiting the site. The park is basically divided into a lower and an upper part. The most demanding tracks, which are also those that one needs to plan in advance, are located in the upper part of park. In those areas, it's possible to camp on designated areas or stay for the night at one of the park's lodging houses (reservation in advance needed). In the park's website, there are lots of information for visitors, and high definition pdf maps for downloading, as well as a list of well trained guides on the park whenever the need arises. It's not possible to park in any spot by the road, the permitted parking areas will be sign posted. All around the park, it's possible to see restaurants, hotels and other private properties, which means there's no time available to do everything you'll find at the park. It's a highly recommended visit, and a place not to forget.

Overlooking Campos do jordoan, beautiful European style town right in brazil. You can take a "ski lift" type ride up or down to the overlook. Couple of little shops and food vendors so you can spend a little extra time enjoying the view. The photos are what so much of the home, hotels, shops and restaurants are like.

Beautiful view in a place that could get potential to be better. We climbed to the elephant's hill using the scared cable car, I believe its was created with the city and never modernized. My husband, who is Canadian, liked the experience more than I did. He was scared but he found excited at the same time. I think that because I have already been to Campos do Jordão several times, I think at this point the city, which seems to be very rich looking at the hotels in the area and people who frequent it, should have already renovated that a long time ago and have made something much better and more attractive, as the other countries that have mountains for Ski. I think don’t need to be exactly the same, but Mount Tremblant in Quebec also has a small area up hill and its not so fancy, but little more attractive and safe. Anyway, the view is very beautiful and we can see the whole city, mountains and part of the other surrounding regions. When we get up there again, the attractions could be much more elaborate and modernized giving opportunity to locals to get better jobs, show a nicer view and give to the city, locals and visitors a better structure. I think the place with elephants is a good idea, especially for children, but they could modernize it and charge a little for the entrance to maintain the place. They also could make a kind of a little mall where people could expose their crafts making their products more attractive and a nice cafe or restaurant with a lookout ... Anyway, use a little of the American style of exposing your business, which could be better for everybody. If I had money to invest, that unfortunately is not the case at the moment, I would probably organize people and get that changed for the benefit of all city and visitors. Grade: Eli = 3, Serge = 3 Recommend: It’s worth for the Mountain View.

Overall a very nice place. The cable car looked a bit outdated and you definitely shouldn't be afraid of heights haha. But you are rewarded at the end with a beautiful view! :)

Waterfalls
Ducha de Prata is a popular tourist spot in Campos do Jordao, featuring man-made waterfalls and showers accessible via wooden decks. The water supply comes directly from the natural waterfalls of Ribeirao de Perdizes. Visitors can stroll along the wooden bridges, listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfall, and explore nearby souvenir stalls offering various items such as clothing, chocolates, and crafts.
Another tourist attraction in Campos de Jordão and one of the best for sure. A small waterfall with walking areas and platforms designed to get the best picture possible. Lots of small shops and restaurants around as well as tourism buses departing and arriving here. On the low side there is lack of toilets, so if you have the urge, you need to use one of the tiny ones located within the restaurants around.

Pretty nice. Though very crowded, it is free to visit.

Nice place to visit. Destination for a lot of tour buses, so it was pretty busy when we were there. Lots of shops selling the usual tourist fare. The water was pretty and interesting. We did not find any actual trails to hike, which would have been nice and would have gotten us away from the crowds. There is parking but it was pretty full when we were there.

Awesome park with great infrastructure. They have an awesome place to view the valley. There are cats around the park but not friendly

This park is absolutely beautiful. We spent a few hours here, exploring. Then we had lunch at the restaurant at the end and it was wonderful.

Such a beautiful place with kind-hearted staff! I’m not a local and didn’t know that they only accept cash and Pix, and since my card was international they couldn’t accept it. The girl selling tickets let me in for free and covered my parking as well. Such a simple yet kind act, it was genuinely the highlight of my day! The plants and gardens were beautiful, and I felt very peaceful afterwards. I would recommend this place to everyone!
Alexandra N — Google review
The place is gorgeous, but quite expensive for full ticket payers. The visit lasts around 1.5h
Paulo B — Google review
This park was absolutely beautiful and worth the 40 Reis entrance fee. The gardens were all well-maintained. The views of the surrounding valleys were spectacular. It's an easy stroll through the park, and there's even a maze to navigate through. There are various plants to see and coy fish in the ponds. And there's a tree house you can visit. You only need 1-2 hours total to see everything. The employees were nice, but it may be difficult to find someone that speaks English.
Christine M — Google review
They have good tree house.. and nice place to take a walk with family, unfortunately every garden doesn’t really represent the country mentioned. Only Japanese garden and Chinese garden that bit represent their own country.
Anastasia K — Google review
Absolutely wonderful botanical gardens. The location is amazing, with plenty of beautiful scenery. From the treehouse to hedge maze, there is a lot to occupy half a day. I was impressed with how well it was maintained and the variety of plants. The price was reasonable for what you get to see. Also, there is a student discount if you show your student ID. Highly recommend Amantikir Park; it is a must see if you are in the area.

Hiking Trails
Trilha da Pedra Redonda is a relatively easy hiking trail that starts at the end of Av. das Montanhas or can be reached from the Plato trail. It takes about an hour to complete and offers a tranquil experience through lush greenery. The trail leads to a 1990m rounded peak, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Hikers are advised to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers, bring water, and apply sunscreen due to windy conditions on the rocks and intense sun exposure.

(Translated by Google) Great trail, relatively easy and very rewarding. The view at the end is stunning, and we were lucky to go on a day when the Minas Gerais side was clear and the São Paulo side was very foggy—simply incredible. Note that you need to purchase your ticket online, and there are fixed entry times.

(Translated by Google) Without a doubt, the best trail in Monte Verde. The area is very well maintained by private initiative, with excellent upkeep, clear signage, security, and guidance before the start of the trail, making the entrance fee worthwhile. It's the most suitable option for families, especially older people and children, as the route is easy and accessible. The Platô trail, while very beautiful, is much steeper, more rugged, and longer, requiring physical preparation and extra attention. I recommend both, but each is suited to a different type of visitor and fitness level.

Vale Sul Shopping is the largest and most diverse shopping center in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil. It offers a wide range of designer stores, boutiques, restaurants, and a cinema. The mall features various brand outlets and segments along with health facilities and a gas station. While it may not be the most budget-friendly for international visitors due to higher prices compared to the U.S., it's still an enjoyable place to explore without making big purchases.
Sorry, I didn't went there. Just used as reference to get the approximate distance until a friend's place near the shopping centre.

I am impressed by the online presence of this shoe repair shop, which effectively highlights its exceptional products and services via various social media platforms. The consistent and engaging content allows customers to stay updated and informed. It's refreshing to see a business utilizing technology to connect with its audience.

Nice shopping mall, with a bit of everything. Very big food plaza, with lots of options to choose from, the most famous places are in there. You can find a super market as well as a construction or home renovation store. You arcade gaming. They also have a cinema with lots of options of movie to pick. Lots of places to park your car and sometimes they'll have events happening at the car park.
Bruno S — Google review
It's very basic, it's a simple place full of low budget stores. The cinemas are great, but 99% of the movies shown are dubbed in Portuguese. The bowling alley is nice, great place to eat.
Luis C — Google review
Very organized shopping center with ample parking space. There is a good variety of quality products, a movie theater, and restaurants. The prices are typically more elevated but this is a general rule in shopping centers/malls in Brazil.
Nassim D — Google review
I'm a tourist from the U.S and one of my favorite things to do is to see the difference between malls in different countries. Let's just say Brazilian malls are one of my new favorites. I wasn't there to buy anything so I enjoyed just looking around, however, if you were going to buy something it's not very cheap. Example: a Maybelline mascara costs 80 Reais which, for an American, would be $20.00. I would economize, look around, and maybe buy something small, but don't go there for a shopping spree. The food court is great with several options, but, again, the prices and portions are wild for me as a foreigner. Overall, the mall is pretty and clean and I would come here again just to see the different stores.
Larissa M — Google review
A not so huge space. A congested environment during weekend. Just like other malls the ambience is the same and restaurants as usual are crowded. No English speaking guide and Walmart in it is the added advantage. Walmart is not so big as we normally see but a good place for a one stop shop
Ansari S — Google review
I only didn't give it a 5 star because of it's Pet Policy. Like in many other malls in Brazil pets are allowed in, but in this one you have to carry them on your lap. It is also forbidden to leave your pet at the entrance like many other places allow you to. So, if your pet is a lil fatty like mine, choose a different place to go to. Appart from that, very best mall in town.
