The Miraflores boardwalk is a popular place to stay in Lima, due to its stunning views of the ocean and beaches. It has a variety of restaurants and shops, as well as a cliff-top trail that leads right through el Parque de Amor.
A good way to see the waterfront, an easy stroll.
Keith G — Google review
The Miraflores boardwalk is a perfect stroll for visitors to take in the park life and scenes of the area. It covers the famous El Parque del Amor and the Parque Chino with great views of the Pacific Ocean. There are surfers, cafes, tennis courts and other distractions on route. It is popular with the locals and visitors to view the everyday lives of Miraflores people. It is perfect for photos and just to get away from the busy city centre.

(Translated by Google) This review is not about the hotel. It is worth flying to Lima just for this view. Along the entire coast there is a multi-meter cliff, from which a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean opens up. In the Miraflores and Baranco areas there are wonderful walking paths for many kilometers, which are interspersed with numerous small parks (in one I even managed to take a short nap), sports areas (outdoor exercise equipment, tennis courts, bike paths). You can also go down to the ocean in some places, but the beach is large-pebbled and only surfers swim here. There is a large shopping center Larcomar and a hang-gliding site. It is often cloudy here, but even in such weather you can get sunburned in just one half-day near the coast.

The Miraflores neighborhood is spectacular—safe, gorgeous, and loaded with cafés and fantastic restaurants. If you’re visiting Peru, stay in this area. You won’t regret it.

7th of June Park

Park
Nature & Parks
7th of June Park, also known as Kennedy Park, is a charming triangular urban oasis in Lima. It pays tribute to President John F. Kennedy and his involvement in the Alliance for Progress movement. The park boasts lush greenery, walking paths, an amphitheater, and a playground. What sets this park apart is its reputation for being home to numerous friendly cats that roam the grounds and provide company to visitors.
Beautiful park located in Miraflores area, of Lima. We walked around and enjoyed people watching as well as seeing cats and dogs running around, enjoying the evening. We also tried a delicious sweet snack called Picarones, which is shaped like a donut and covered in syrup.
Iliana G — Google review
Right next to Kennedy park it could just be an extension of the Kennedy park. You will continue to see cats, flowers a couple of statues. Nice walk ways with plenty of benches
Craig B — Google review
This really is cat heaven and a must visit for everyone who loves cats. I had never imagined there could be a park in the center of a major metropolis filled with cats who know they own the ground they walk on. Dogs don't bother or bark at them, people walk around them when they lay in the middle of the walkway, and there is a long waiting list to adopt the few kittens that are born there. The park is a very busy place with vendors, shows, dancing, hustlers, music from the nearby cathedral, just a symphony of sound and action, but the cats are mellow and unaffected by all of it. I highly recommend visiting the park for the cats and the myriad other activities that take place throughout the week. You will not be disappointed.
Peter C — Google review
Isvrelly sweet park know as the Gato or cat park. People can donate money and adopt a cat which provides shelter and food for" your cat". People come here and sit in this tranquil park in the middle of this bustling city
Melissa C — Google review
A really nice park, especially for fans of cats, as there are dozens of cats roaming around that are taken care by local ONGs.
Andre R — Google review
After seeing so many dogs during our travels, it was a very pleasant surprise to find a park full of cats. Cats keeping people company on benches. Cats relaxing in flowers, shrubs, trees or on the lawn. Cats validating you by coming to you for a rub or a boop. A great place to see art and stop for a snack.
Valérie — Google review

Jan S — Google review
Very nice park with lot of flowers and different statues to see. Not a very big park but still nice to walk around in. A lot of other stores and restaurants in the area so a great day trip destination. I didn’t see parking specifically for the park but there is a lot of businesses in the area so parking should not be too hard to find close by. Worth checking out on a nice day.

Love's Park, also known as Parque del Amor, is a popular destination in Miraflores, offering stunning views of the ocean. The park features a large kissing sculpture called 'The Kiss' by Victor Delfin and mosaic walls adorned with colorful benches inscribed with love-themed phrases by Peruvian authors. It's a romantic spot to watch the sunset and enjoy the company of your loved one. The park has become an iconic symbol for couples seeking an ideal setting by the sea.
Lovely park with that big statue and amazing views of the ocean. The tile work is adorable too. The park area looks clean and safe. We took a lot of pictures here and sat down and enjoyed the breeze. There were a lot of people at the time we went.
Sanjeeta P — Google review
This is a nice little park along the walkway linking many other parks. It is a good place to sit down and have a rest. There is a small cafe nearby to grab a coffee or soft drink.

It's a beautiful park, but too small with too many people. If you have plenty time, it worth to go.

Very beautiful park plus there are several parks interconnected and they are very nice with beautiful view have to see it
Michael N — Google review
Nothing special. Some writings on the walls are vulgar, which I did not find romantic or poetic. It's an area full of people who want to sell you souvenirs, which gets a bit annoying given the concentration of sellers.
Giulia S — Google review
Cute park to sit and take great pictures. Kind of annoying the persistent people selling locks for the love fence. Other then that we had a great time.

Bridge of Sighs

Bridge
The Bridge of Sighs, also known as Puente de los Suspiros, is an iconic wooden bridge in Barranco. It offers stunning views of the city and is a popular spot for people-watching. According to local folklore, crossing the bridge while holding your breath and making a wish may make it come true. Built in 1876, the bridge has endured significant damage during historical events but has been rebuilt multiple times.
This is a beautiful tourist attraction in Barranco, Lima, Peru. Don't believe the legend that if you hold the hand of the one you love and cross the bridge while holding your breath, if you make it to the other side you will be together forever... total and utter lie 🤣🤣 Other than that there is a beautiful spot, art, food, and more to see and or eat. It also leads down to the beach.
Me L — Google review
This is a must-see spot when walking around Barranco. The bridge itself is interesting, and the park is well-shaded and well-maintained. This is a hub for the Lima art scene, featuring not only street art but also several galleries. There are also decent restaurants in the area.
Keith M — Google review
It’s nice area but unfortunately not as nice as I expected. Church is not lighted and that’s a pity. Would make pictures much more beautiful. Murals are nice.
Frank L — Google review
At the Bridge of Sighs, we lucked out-the garúa had faded, leaving us with clear blue skies and a warm breeze. According to legend, if you hold your breath while walking across the bridge, your wish will be granted; and if you cross it with your lover, you are said to be blessed with eternal love. The surrounding area is delightful, with a cute park, vibrant murals, and intriguing street art that make it a perfect spot to wander and explore. Lovely area to walk around and explore or take your pup out to enjoy.
Desiree M — Google review
This bridge itself is pretty standard - about 40 feet long with no major views to speak of. But that's not what makes it special. The real treasure is the shops surrounding it, filled with unique art designs, cool jackets, t-shirts, and bags. It's evolved beyond just a marketplace - it's now a hub for creative expression. While the restaurants nearby are okay, they're not the main draw. The real highlight is the eclectic mix of art and shopping that makes this area worth exploring.
SPICY — Google review
Great lil artsy area and the vendors there are nice and not pushy. Would have loved to visited in the evening when the bars were open as I think there’s music then.
T G — Google review
The bridge itself isn’t anything special—just a simple wooden structure—but the surrounding area is beautiful to walk around. The streets, murals, restaurants, and coastal atmosphere make it a nice spot to explore if you’re already in Barranco.
Adrian H — Google review

It is part of a trio of art museums in Lima, along with MATE/Museo de Mario Testino and Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Lima. Visitors can purchase a discounted ticket to all three museums and explore them at a leisurely pace. The museum provides insight into Inka vs. Colonial history through its vivid art collection.
Lovely museum to step out of the hustle and bustle of Lima and return to a time when Peru was simpler and quieter. The house and grounds are magnificent and the wonderful colonial art adds to the refined atmosphere of this museum.
John M — Google review
Go for the architecture and the layout of the gardens, both of which are stunning. The art is an interminable display of yet more Christian allegory, heavy on the “constipated figurative” school, none of which is especially interesting if you’ve been to a single church at any point in your life.
Mohsin S — Google review
Amazing story of powerful family and their home with amazing art history. No photos allowed from inside, you must come see!
Thomas B — Google review
A nice museum if you appreciate architecture and garden design, but beyond that, I didn’t find it very engaging for the price.
André M — Google review
A must see museum, composed of several buildings of religious and secular art, costumes, coins and daily items from the Spanish era. The grounds are also gorgeous and manicured for every detail. Do not miss this gem.

In addition to the entrance fee, which is between 4 and 2 euros (4 for adults and 2 for seniors), you must tip for the guides. The service begins at 6 am. I don't have a closing time. It's preferable to go with a guide because the information provided by the government, such as infographics, isn't very comprehensive. You can also go with Toru, but neither admission nor guidance within the complex is included. Went on a Wednesday, mid day..it was winter so... can't really blame them for not being fully open. We could buy a bottle but they wouldn't give us a sample, too bad thier sample glasses and the respective bottles were right there on the bar. Poor hospitality in my opinion. But hey! Maybe on a different day in a better time of year with a more motivated employee you'll have a better experience. Go try... beautiful grounds if nothing else.

Visiting last year, the wine they gave me to taste was good, but the three bottles they sold me were terrible, completely fermented with bubbles. It was not supposed to be vinegar champagne. Stay away!

Nice little genuine historic winery

I'll temper this saying we're pretty knowledgeable about wine, but this was definitely quite an interesting presentation of artesanal wine making. The use of clay amforae and the crushing of grapes (yes with feet) was kind of fun. The wine is not good (read bad) as it's syrupy and too sweet. Also the Pisco is not the greatest quality (straight hangover material, so watch out). Also ask about the honey production center nearby, well worth the visit!

Did the river rafting. Team was super considerate with safety precautions in the water and with Covid. Went in Mid March when currents were very strong hence the entire trip on the river was 17 minutes a bit over 5km (it's usually 40 mins) . They took great photos and our guide was a 12 year pro. Better prices than the first place we stopped at. Would definitely recommend Victor 👌.

The islands are worth the trip on a touristy boat with strangers. If you love birds, penguins, and sea lions it's worth the trip. If you don't love these you probably shouldn't go as there isn't anything else like a cool boat ride or whatever to make it worthwhile.

A good tour and activity. We had to weirdly wait 40 mins for one person for our boat to complete its occupancy. When departed, it took 20 something minutes to reach the islands. Plaza de Armas de Pisco

City park
Sights & Landmarks
Plaza de Armas de Pisco, once closed for a long time, is now a beautiful and relaxing green area. It offers a nice dining experience with great foot traffic and many restaurant options. The view of the earthquake-damaged basilica from 2007 is both amazing and poignant. Although some visitors found it disappointing that everything was closed on a Sunday, the well-maintained square still offers a historical charm.
It was Sunday and everything was closed, except restaurants/pubs. Even the church was closed. Funny
Timo M — Google review
Plaza de Armas de Pisco is a charming centerpiece of the city, steeped in history and revival. Originally laid out in 1689 and redesigned in the 1950s, the plaza measures roughly 100 × 100 m and was declared an urban monument in 1985 . It weathered the 2007 quake, and though part of its surroundings crumbled, the square remains a vibrant public space . Dominating the plaza is the bronze equestrian statue of General José de San Martín, crafted by Piscan sculptor José Luis Peña y Peña and inaugurated in 1954 . San Martín, with his hand raised, captures the spirit of liberation and heroism—a fitting tribute in this coastal city from which independence began. Surrounding the monument, the pedestrian-friendly square is flanked by local shops, cafés, and banks, including BBVA, Interbank, and the Banco de la Nación . In the mornings it’s especially serene—cool coastal breezes, golden light, and few tourists make it a peaceful retreat . As the day unfolds, families, street vendors, and couples drift in, enlivening the atmosphere. Strolling the plaza, one finds stalls selling tejas (pecan sweets) and souvenirs—a small but enchanting shopping experience rooted in local tradition . The nearby municipal hall and the rebuilt San Clemente Church add architectural interest and guide the eye toward Pisco’s blend of colonial and modern life. In essence, Plaza de Armas de Pisco offers a compact but meaningful snapshot of the city—a respectful nod to history, a hub of community life, and a welcoming stage for everyday Peruvian rhythms.

The guy Alfredo picked us up at the bus stop in Paracas. The price he gave us was OK so we trusted in him. After the first 2 trips in Paracas, he kept asking us our next plans the next few days and gave us some advice so we thought he was just being kind and friendly. He took us to this company and explained the better way to plan our trips. Anyways, we trusted him at the end and paid almost one thousand dollars for our all trips all the way down to Cusco. The first few trips went smoothly most of the time, even though he didn’t pay some entrance tickets as he promised. He told us he’d pay us later. But no, he didn’t, and even cancelled the last two trips, the most expensive ones. He just kept giving us a lot of different excuses and never gave our money back. We already called the police and are still trying to get our money back, more than 500 dollars. We’re not quite sure if the guy works for this company or not. But the company did help him out to trick all the tourists around. They gave him fake voucher which doesn’t have the name of the company, local phone number or the tour company number on it, which made it a bit difficult for us to call the police in the beginning. ( It’s very important but unfortunately we didn’t know that by that time. ) Besides, the woman in the company even took a video of us when we were trying to get our money out of our backpacks. It’s really creepy. JUST DON’T TRUST THEM. They are all liars. We found the guy Alfredo’s pictures on internet, including his old company, which no longer exists after all the wrongdoing I think. Be aware!

I booked a tour to Isla Ballestas through my hostel with this tour operator. On the morning, a lady came to reach me (and 2 other customers) at my hostel, and she was not friendly at all. She sent us on a line up to pay the fees and she disappeared. Once we were done it was someone else who came to reach us after few minutes and we were put in another line up by a third person without any words again. The tour itself doesn't worth it, since they focus mostly on the otters, which can be boring if it's not the first time you see it. All tour was done in Spanish with only few random sentences in English so you can hardly understand what about they are talking. I catched only a little bit, but if you speak a fluent spanish you should be fine. However I do not recommended that tour, Islands are not beautiful as yhe picture on the web. Instead, go to the Reserve which is way more interesting and nicer.

In this agency there is an employee named Alfredo who at first glance seems charming, who knows a lot about his land and who is humble. And it is not like that, at all. We buy the entire trip from Paracas to Machu Picchu, the entire route with all the stops in each city, including trekking, hotels... EVERYTHING. Bad management. Before paying him he told us that everything was reserved, that we didn't have to worry at all, that he would always be available to help us. We paid him a total of €1,300. It almost ruined our trip. In each city something happened, either the tickets were not purchased, or it was not what we agreed on... fatal. When we did the Salkantay trek, we had agreed on lodging, doing the tour and at the end going up to Machu Picchu. We were almost left without being able to go!!!!!! The scoundrel had not bought the tickets to enter the venue or the train tickets. We had to call him three days in a row insisting and have our guides call to be able to solve it. Don't trust him or the agency, it's not worth ruining a vacation for these people, there are many agencies with charming and GOOD people. I hope they don't fall like us and I can help you. Greetings. Tambo Colorado

Sights & Landmarks
Ancient Ruins
Tambo Colorado is an impressive Inca archaeological site located inland from the coastal marine park, easily accessible from the town of Pisco. The well-preserved adobe buildings and museum with historical exhibits offer a fascinating glimpse into ancient Incan culture. Visitors can explore the extensive ruins and admire original Incan paint on the walls. The site also provides a great view of the valley. Although local information may be limited, guided tours offer informative insights into the history of this iconic destination.
This was an awesome trip from Paracas with local transport. In Tambo Colorado we met the local staff who was very knowledgeable, ready to explain everything about the Inca culture and answer all our questions. She was very nice and we enjoyed her proffesional approach. The site is well marked with information signs and worth to visit.

Spectacular tour. Overwhelmed by the abilities of these ancient people. I'm sure the climate wasn't as harsh as it is now, but if it was, how did they survive the heat, lack of plantable soil and remoteness.

Amazing ruins that no one seems to know about. This is a good thing because you have full access to all the areas. You can still see some of the original Incan paint on the walls.

Came here with Peru Hop. Our guide Edouard was informative and managed our big group very well. The diorama gives a great overview as well.
