Just beautiful. Must go! (Just nature, no infrastructure such as washrooms or kiosks).
Ari M — Google review
Brilliant place to spend all day but......too many ships with tourists with loud music, influencers taking millions of photos but it's still worth to take private transfer from Party and enjoy all day there. Remember to take food and drinks with you as there is nothing like shop or bar
Krzysztof ( — Google review
It's just fantastic! You'll usually get there by boat, mine, was Netuno IV, great team by the way. You can jump from the boat and go swimming. Beautiful place.
Uendell M — Google review
Great stop as part of our boat tour. Recomend swimming from the boat if you have the fitness for it.
Hannah V — Google review
Feel like heaven....
Rajanikanta S — Google review
A nice little beach which looks like you can only access via a boat tour which we paid R$50pp for (we went in June and you can probably negotiate this down). The water is warm and the views are amazing.
Chris K — Google review
It is a place you must go if you visit Paraty. Rent a boat for the day as it is the only way to get to this beach. It can be a private boat or tour boat, they all go there, I honestly prefer the private boat as you can decide how long you want to stay in each place.
Guido A — Google review
Beatiful warm waters beach with a private property. Good shades available. No access to the main roads, access only by boat.

Cachadaço beach

Mentioned on

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Cachadaço beach is a stunning, wide stretch of coastline with a trail leading to natural pools surrounded by rocks and lush native vegetation. To reach this tropical paradise, travelers can take a paved road from Bairro do Patrimonio in Paraty or pay attention after crossing the border between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro when coming from Ubatuba to Trindade. The beach is a favorite among explorers for its access to the Atlantic Forest hillside and short trail.
Great beach tropical paradise with great views and calm waters. We ate some delicious fresh oysters from a shucker right in the sand and also visited a restaurant with views of the water. This was the best beach for us while staying in Paraty
Alex K — Google review
Beautiful beach, on one end has the trail to the Cachadaço Natural Pool
Mayumi W — Google review
Super beach!!! If you get a nice sun and not as much waves, it is one of the nicest beaches in this region.
Björn J — Google review
One of the beaches i prefered when in Brazil. So untouched, no hotels, no restaurants, not a lot of people. Really wild place. The walk from the Trindade beach is just beautiful. Enjoy a bit of trekking with my gf. U better use good shoes because its not that comfy with flipflops.
ANDRES R — Google review
Two beaches next to each other. Beautiful landscape. Although it was not a very good weather when we visited it was still beautiful, clean with not so rough waves!
Maria K — Google review
Best beach in Trindade for me. The waves are a bit intense for kids but great for adults, the beach has a large portion of sand to do a lot of activities, and there's also a great place to eat and have drinks: Caiçara

Hiking trail to Cachadaço Natural Pool

Mentioned on
1 list
Hiking area
Nature & Parks
Hot Springs & Geysers
The hiking trail to Cachadaço Natural Pool in Trindade Village offers a serene and clean natural swimming experience among colorful fishes. The medium difficulty trail is well-marked with steps, handrails, and boardwalks over swampy areas. Accessible from the beach, the 30-minute walk is suitable for most visitors, although closed-toe shoes are recommended. For those seeking an alternative to the trail, boat transport is available for a fee.
(Translated by Google) Super easy trail! Even kids can do it. From this point on, it's a 15 to 20 minute walk, with some ups and downs to the natural pools. The trail starts at the end of Cachadaço beach. You can go by boat from Praia do Meio, I think it's R$40/50 round trip. You can go by trail and return by boat (R$20/30). (Original) Trilha super tranquila!
Anderson ( — Google review
From the end of last beach to the natural pool I walked 25 minutes one way (walking quickly but with flipflops on a really muddy ground). Easy to find, but not for a "beach stroll" - my friends returned halfway without visiting the pool. There are boats waiting in case you want to return by taxi boat.
Hahaha H — Google review
(Translated by Google) The trail will take you between 20 and 25 minutes. There are spots where you can stop to take photos and videos of the breathtaking scenery! In the natural pool area, which is a place where several huge rocks have gathered and the sea water gathers, meaning the water there is salty, forming a pool. No waves, no currents. Calm water, like a swimming pool, for you to enjoy. You'll see lots of fish swimming near you. It's totally worth it! For those who don't want to do the trail, because there are a lot of stairs, on the middle beach you can pay a man who stays there just for that purpose, with a boat, to take you there and bring you back. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the last time I went it was 50.00 round trip. You can also pay just to go, for example, and return by the trail. Then he'll only charge half.
Nathalia C — Google review
(Translated by Google) The trail is of moderate to difficult level, especially during the rainy season, when it becomes quite slippery in parts.
Mozer B — Google review
(Translated by Google) The trail is full of incredible views. It is an easy/moderate trail, but it can be very dangerous if it has rained. I do not recommend it for seniors who are not used to exercising. There are points where we go up and down slopes, and it can be tiring. It is a trail of about 1.5 km (including the walk to the beach). But in the end, it is worth it. The natural pool is wonderful, shallow water for swimming and there are beautiful fish.

Guilherme C — Google review
(Translated by Google) The trail is simply spectacular, with incredible views, preserved vegetation and a medium level of difficulty. Some sections are very slippery during the rainy season. It takes between 30 and 40 minutes, depending on the speed and agility of each person, as well as the flow of people in the area. The trail is a fundamental part of the experience for those who want to see the pools. I took a boat trip back (5 minutes), more for the experience of crossing the water. The pool is incredible, with many colorful fish. The water is cold and the landscape is sensational. I went in January and there were a lot of people, which made the water cloudy and scared away the fish. It is better to go in the low season. I highly recommend the tour. A água é fria e a paisagem é sensacional. Recomendo demais o passeio.
Gisele B — Google review
(Translated by Google) This trail is of medium difficulty (difficult for children under five and the elderly, and very difficult for people with reduced mobility), but it can be skipped if the tourist doesn't mind paying R$15 to go by boat (and another R$15 to return). The trail is well-marked, with steps and handrails in the more complicated sections. The swampy sections have planks that allow for easy passage. It should be avoided before or immediately after rain, as it is entirely muddy. Be careful of insects and the time of day you are hiking, as it is a trail in the middle of a reserve.

Nestled in the stunning coastal town of Ubatuba, the Ubatuba Aquarium is a delightful blend of indoor and outdoor experiences that showcases an impressive array of local marine life. Established by a passionate group of oceanographers in 1994, this aquarium features around 70 species across its various enclosures, including Brazil's largest saltwater tank. Visitors can marvel at fascinating creatures like crabs, octopuses, sharks, and even Magellanic penguins from Patagonia.
Amazing place. Worth every penny from the ticket. Well guided, the staff is very gentle. Lots of information about sea life.

Was surprised at the array of animals there , staff were lovely and when raining spent a couple of hours sheltering inside !
George W — Google review
I liked it, kind of fun for children. It isn't as big as other ones around the world, but fits into this environment. The most fun was the playground behind it for my kids.
Daniel G — Google review
Small but very nice and well organized, employees were respectful and knowledgeable. The sharks and penguins were the highlight of the visit but the experience was really good overall, really worth the time.
Julio R — Google review
This aquarium is an excellent opportunity to make a immersion into the beauty and miseries of the sea, this place is prepared for a huge crowd of adults and kids enjoying multiple attractions, it is recomended to buy tickets online in advance to have a quick access to the place, also check the estimated time for some scheduled activities, like feeding the penguins, so you can have the best experience possible here, very recommended
Renner P — Google review
It was smaller than I've been to other places, but close and intimate. Probably crowded I peak season, but July it was perfect. Some signs had English but not all.
Mac S — Google review
Very nice manageable size for children. We saw species we'd never seen before and there is a beautiful shell collection. The tide exhibit was fun. The petting pool was a new experience too. There's a nicely decorated cafe (we got a free coffee with a family ticket) overlooking a play area outside on the promenade. The recycling exhibit was overly sombre at the end of the tour.
Rachel C — Google review
The visit is very pleasant and the path is interesting with posters and exhibitions. The place is not very big but there are spectacular types of marine animals. I suggest to avoid peak time as it could be stressing waiting in the queue. Near the exit, you can touch a number of live examples like the star fish, pepino do mar, etc. There is a small restaurant inside, which can also serve people not in the aquarium from the side overlooking the beach.

The parish priest tried to prevent a large flock of faithful to pray the Holy Rosary in front of the church. This had been announced days in advance. Instead he purposely rang all of the church bells, to make so much noise that nobody could understand a word - it was a wonderful experience to pray the Holy Rosary under such circumstance, against the orders of the pastor! *Shame on this parish pastor!*

This was an absolutely stunning Basilica. The second largest in the world only the Vatican is larger. The stone murals were beautiful along with everything else ..a must see.

The most breathing cathedral in Brazil, the spiritually makes you feel the amazing atmosphere that surrounds us. It is almost impossible not to feel better after your visit to this sacred place.

Considered the second biggest Catholic Temple of the world (after San Pedro Temple in Vatican) and the biggest in Brazil. Beautiful religious place with plenty of infrastructure to accommodate faithful from all places and renew their vows
Claudio T — Google review
It was bigger than o ever imagined. It’s like an entire city, it takes hours to walk around and be able to appreciate every detail. Lots of stores inside and restaurants. With the Covid-19 restrictions, we couldn’t see more of the inside details but it was worth it. They have mass every hour and multiple locations as well. I loved it. Perfect to buy gifts and there more attractions outside the Basilica as well. The entire city is filled with attractions and even the cities nearby.
Katiuscia M — Google review
This should be included in the must visit places in Brazil. The cathedral is huge and very beautiful. The dome ia decorated with paintings of Brazilian fauna. The sacred image of the Holly Mary, which was found by locals and is attributed to several miracles, is exposed there. The energy of this place is hard to describe.

Jabaquara Beach

Beach
Nature & Parks
Compact, sandy palm-fringed cove with seafood shacks & snack bars, plus rental umbrellas & chairs.
The staff are great. The manager is very accommodating. When I arrived with a Dome bike, he asked for my battery so I can charge it. Gabriel speaks English, he made sure my orders are well-taken care of. Welyngton is a great Chef. He prepared my Asinha do Frango (Buffalo Wings), one of the best I had (the sauce is very Asian which suited my taste, I am Asian). My 2-hour stay after cycling from the Ferry was worthwhile because of the quality of service this beach restaurant offers. 2 thumbs up!
Reyno A — Google review
In my opinion one of the best beaches you can reach by car on Ilhabela. Better than this would only be Castelhanos.
Francisco P — Google review
Beautiful beach in the north side of Ilhabela. Access via an unpaved road
Marcos S — Google review
Really nice beach, standing out from southern ones. Can be reached by regular cars, despite the final 4 km of dirt road. Two big paid parking areas almost by the beach. Well served with a restaurant and beach vendors. Tons of blackflies, though: make sure to take any body oil to spread, which is the only effective protection against them - insect repellents only lasts few minutes.
Eduardo O — Google review
Covered in plastic seats, no decent food options, the only one available is too expensive for what it offers. And make sure to put on repellent otherwise you get butchered by some nasty insects. Road there is pretty unaccessible too if you don't have a 4×4. Not worth it.
Daniela C — Google review
Nice and beautiful beach, the way to get there isn't easy, though. Also, on rainy days, it requests special attention and it wouldn't be recommendable for drivers without experience
Yuri D — Google review
Really beautiful beach! Less crowded than some of the others. Worth a visit, even with the sand flies. The road is more easily acessible than I was expecting.

A nice park to walk around. There are several short hikes. We really enjoyed Trilha dos campos (3km), which takes you up to good views and also winds along the river for a stretch. The trail to the waterfall was much more crowded and more of a road than a trail. Overall, the park itself was very crowded excepting Trilha dos Campos. It is possible to access by bus or uber and you do have to pay to enter.

Beautiful place, very well conserved with detailed maintainance. The park is an environmental reserve. Activities: there are trails with different kinds of difficulty and length. There are food trucks during the peak of the season, however there are two places that serves food all year. There are activities for children too and playgrounds. There is bike rent and a shop with handcrafted materials made of wood.

Morro do Elefante is a must-visit spot offering breathtaking city and mountain views. Accessible by road or cable car, the hilltop terrace provides an incredible panoramic view of the entire tourist center. The cable car ride is a popular choice for reaching the top, where visitors can enjoy the stunning scenery and even return for a second visit. Standing at 1800 meters above sea level, this location offers an adrenaline-pumping experience with its elephant trunk-like curvature.
Awesome place to watch the sunset with life music They have a cable car that connects to the park at the bottom During Christmas the lights are espetacular

It was a silly place but fun for our kid and we took lots of pictures. The photographer in there was really nice and only charged us R$5 per adult to take photos of us by the sign and even did a video with snow falling. We enjoyed that!

Overlooking Campos do jordoan, beautiful European style town right in brazil. You can take a "ski lift" type ride up or down to the overlook. Couple of little shops and food vendors so you can spend a little extra time enjoying the view. The photos are what so much of the home, hotels, shops and restaurants are like.
Bert A — Google review
It was OK but not that much of a thing to see you have to pay to get a good photo photo it was around 5reais The cable car is not working now so if you want to try the cable car you have to wait-a-bit more It's also not easy to park
Amy H — Google review
Beautiful view in a place that could get potential to be better. We climbed to the elephant's hill using the scared cable car, I believe its was created with the city and never modernized. My husband, who is Canadian, liked the experience more than I did. He was scared but he found excited at the same time. I think that because I have already been to Campos do Jordão several times, I think at this point the city, which seems to be very rich looking at the hotels in the area and people who frequent it, should have already renovated that a long time ago and have made something much better and more attractive, as the other countries that have mountains for Ski. I think don’t need to be exactly the same, but Mount Tremblant in Quebec also has a small area up hill and its not so fancy, but little more attractive and safe. Anyway, the view is very beautiful and we can see the whole city, mountains and part of the other surrounding regions. When we get up there again, the attractions could be much more elaborate and modernized giving opportunity to locals to get better jobs, show a nicer view and give to the city, locals and visitors a better structure. I think the place with elephants is a good idea, especially for children, but they could modernize it and charge a little for the entrance to maintain the place. They also could make a kind of a little mall where people could expose their crafts making their products more attractive and a nice cafe or restaurant with a lookout ... Anyway, use a little of the American style of exposing your business, which could be better for everybody. If I had money to invest, that unfortunately is not the case at the moment, I would probably organize people and get that changed for the benefit of all city and visitors. Grade: Eli = 3, Serge = 3 Recommend: It’s worth for the Mountain View.
Discovering D — Google review

Ducha de Prata is a popular tourist spot in Campos do Jordao, featuring man-made waterfalls and showers accessible via wooden decks. The water supply comes directly from the natural waterfalls of Ribeirao de Perdizes. Visitors can stroll along the wooden bridges, listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfall, and explore nearby souvenir stalls offering various items such as clothing, chocolates, and crafts.
Another tourist attraction in Campos de Jordão and one of the best for sure. A small waterfall with walking areas and platforms designed to get the best picture possible. Lots of small shops and restaurants around as well as tourism buses departing and arriving here. On the low side there is lack of toilets, so if you have the urge, you need to use one of the tiny ones located within the restaurants around.

Such a beautiful place with kind-hearted staff! I’m not a local and didn’t know that they only accept cash and Pix, and since my card was international they couldn’t accept it. This park was absolutely beautiful and worth the 40 Reis entrance fee. The gardens were all well-maintained. The views of the surrounding valleys were spectacular. It's an easy stroll through the park, and there's even a maze to navigate through. There are various plants to see and coy fish in the ponds. And there's a tree house you can visit. You only need 1-2 hours total to see everything. The employees were nice, but it may be difficult to find someone that speaks English.

Vale Sul Shopping is the largest and most diverse shopping center in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil. It offers a wide range of designer stores, boutiques, restaurants, and a cinema. The mall features various brand outlets and segments along with health facilities and a gas station. While it may not be the most budget-friendly for international visitors due to higher prices compared to the U.S., it's still an enjoyable place to explore without making big purchases.

Nice shopping mall, with a bit of everything. Very big food plaza, with lots of options to choose from, the most famous places are in there. You can find a super market as well as a construction or home renovation store. You arcade gaming. They also have a cinema with lots of options of movie to pick. Lots of places to park your car and sometimes they'll have events happening at the car park.
Bruno S — Google review
It's very basic, it's a simple place full of low budget stores. The cinemas are great, but 99% of the movies shown are dubbed in Portuguese. The bowling alley is nice, great place to eat.
Luis C — Google review
Very organized shopping center with ample parking space. There is a good variety of quality products, a movie theater, and restaurants. The prices are typically more elevated but this is a general rule in shopping centers/malls in Brazil.
Nassim D — Google review
I'm a tourist from the U.S and one of my favorite things to do is to see the difference between malls in different countries. Let's just say Brazilian malls are one of my new favorites. I wasn't there to buy anything so I enjoyed just looking around, however, if you were going to buy something it's not very cheap. Example: a Maybelline mascara costs 80 Reais which, for an American, would be $20.00. I would economize, look around, and maybe buy something small, but don't go there for a shopping spree. The food court is great with several options, but, again, the prices and portions are wild for me as a foreigner. Overall, the mall is pretty and clean and I would come here again just to see the different stores.
Larissa M — Google review
A not so huge space. A congested environment during weekend. Just like other malls the ambience is the same and restaurants as usual are crowded. No English speaking guide and Walmart in it is the added advantage. Walmart is not so big as we normally see but a good place for a one stop shop
Ansari S — Google review
I only didn't give it a 5 star because of it's Pet Policy. Like in many other malls in Brazil pets are allowed in, but in this one you have to carry them on your lap. It is also forbidden to leave your pet at the entrance like many other places allow you to. So, if your pet is a lil fatty like mine, choose a different place to go to. Appart from that, very best mall in town.

Points of Interest & Landmarks

Daniel B — Google review
(Translated by Google) Excellent for admiring the horizon and the landscape in general. However, considering the profile of São José dos Campos, it should be revitalized, taking advantage of the slope of the land, expanding the tiny deck, and building an attached grandstand with the same wooden profile as the deck, offering comfort to those who appreciate this view. Since it would be a hidden location, it would be necessary to install a security camera, ensuring not only security but also order, preventing crime and undesirable behavior from inconvenient people. The City Hall could authorize the construction of a coffee shop/snack bar next to the deck, with public restrooms (paid), separate for men and women. The responsibility for cleaning and maintenance would be outsourced to a third party. Besides the revenue for the merchant, it would offer convenience to deck users who want to enjoy the landscape for longer.

(Translated by Google) The Pico da Pedra Partida is the second highest peak in the Monte Verde region and has a beautiful view of much of the Paraíba Valley. The access trail has signs and red ribbons on some trees along the way, especially in places where there might be some doubt. It took us 1 hour to climb the 900m to the top. And on the way back it took us only 40 minutes. At the top there is a sign indicating the altitude and the name, great for photos. The downside is that access is restricted by MOVE, which charges R$35.90 per person. This amount could easily be used for a "single pass" with access to the 5 peaks in the region. This would both attract more tourists and raise the funds needed to improve and preserve the site.

(Translated by Google) The scenery is wonderful and worth the effort. The trail is not well marked, but it is possible to follow the path. If you are not physically fit, the trail takes about 2 to 2.5 hours (don't rush to get there) and has complicated and slippery sections. The trail has 2 viewpoints (close to the final destination). Bring good shoes, water, a shirt and long pants. I recommend leaving in the morning, preferably before 9 am, to avoid the midday sun at the top of the split rock. (Original) Paisagem maravilhosa e vale o esforço.

(Translated by Google) This is the most difficult trail, as in some places you have to climb some rocks (be prepared to get a little dirty, lol). In some places you can get lost, as the trail is not very well marked (I recommend using a GPS if you go without a guide), but the view is incredible and it is worth the effort.

(Translated by Google) This trail is a little more difficult than Pedra Rodada, which has stairs and is very short! I don't recommend doing this trail if you have mobility problems, because at times you'll need a little physical strength to get through certain steep and narrow spots... The trail is well marked and not very well marked, with signs at some points and two really cool viewpoints along the way, to recharge your batteries and admire nature! It's possible to get there without any major problems, because during the holiday season, there are always people going to or coming back from the same place as you... If possible, choose to do this trail while there's daylight and good weather, because it's a 40 to 50 minute walk from the fork that separates the Pedra Rodada/Ronda trails. Unmissable! People who give this trail a bad review must not be physically fit and/or may have gone alone... From Pedra Rodada, the second highest point in the region, you can see Pedra Rodada, which was FULL the day I visited!

Hiking Trails
Trilha da Pedra Redonda is a relatively easy hiking trail that starts at the end of Av. das Montanhas or can be reached from the Plato trail. It takes about an hour to complete and offers a tranquil experience through lush greenery. The trail leads to a 1990m rounded peak, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Hikers are advised to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers, bring water, and apply sunscreen due to windy conditions on the rocks and intense sun exposure.

(Translated by Google) Without a doubt, the best trail in Monte Verde. The area is very well maintained by private initiative, with excellent upkeep, clear signage, security, and guidance before the start of the trail, making the entrance fee worthwhile. It's the most suitable option for families, especially older people and children, as the route is easy and accessible. The Platô trail, while very beautiful, is much steeper, more rugged, and longer, requiring physical preparation and extra attention. I recommend both, but each is suited to a different type of visitor and fitness level.

What I liked of this station - the square and the station - the shops and restaurants nearby ready to welcome tourists either by train or their own cars - the atmosphere as it was very clear everything was made to welcome people - there was live music being played in the square by local artists

Nestled at the eastern tip of Santo Amaro Island, Praia Branca is a stunning beach that offers a unique blend of natural beauty and rustic charm. This picturesque stretch of sand, measuring 1350 meters long, is bordered by lush trees and quaint eateries, making it an inviting spot for relaxation. Accessing Praia Branca can be an adventure in itself; visitors can either embark on a scenic 30 to 40-minute hike through well-marked trails or arrive by boat.
Beautiful beach ⛱️🏖️ I visited there on New Year 2025. Lots of people were there. The beach was beautiful. There was also a boat that you could rent to bring you to another beach. There are various small restaurants there that they served baked fish 🐠. I suggest to visit there.

Beautiful beach and quite secluded. We rented an airbnb and there are posadas on the beach but it's also convenient to camp there. The best part is that it is a very non tourist area except around new years eve when the beach gets full. WiFi reception is not so good but it adds to the charm of this place. There is one main restaurant but a few local ones that are quieter and much better, in terms of service and food quality. Overall just a great place to vacation!

Magic City is a vibrant water park that promises an exhilarating day filled with adventure and excitement. With its colorful twisting slides, splash pools, and family-friendly rides, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Thrill-seekers can take on the Nitro-x ride or zip line across the park for an extra rush! The attention to detail in the park's design adds a charming touch, making it visually appealing as well.

Not tourist friendly. Staff can’t speak any word English. On the site there is a price at 40, but on arrival they double it. When we wanted to order online the website did not work. Then the cashier Said we could not enter because it will rain soon. After multiple times asking we could go in, but lost apxm one hour at entrance! Locker costs 25Rs

This place is COOL. And it has more fun than you can handle in one day. To go there and think you'll want to go home because you are so tired, think again, that's when you get your second wind.
Vernon E — Google review
We went to stay two nights and left after lunch on the first day. The place looks nothing like the photos on the website. It was dirty, blankets from last century, food served was dry and very little variety. The way it was served was with a lack of interest as was the general feeling of all the park. A real pity for our 10 year olds birthday surprise
Christopher M — Google review
The food seemed reasonable to me. Espatinhos, mini pizzas, and pastéis were all R$7 and were as good quality as you would find in any Festa Junina. The pastel was even big. The baru was particularly good. The park was very cute. It was obvious they paid attention to the small details. The rides were a lot of fun, especially the Nitro-x and the other ride right next to it (that one was maybe even better!) We spent about 7 hours there and didn't even do everything. It could be worth it to stay the night at the Posada and spend the whole weekend there.

Museu do Café

Specialty Museums
Museu do Café, located in the historic Coffee Exchange building in Downtown Santos, offers a captivating journey through the history of Brazilian coffee. The museum showcases the significance of coffee to Brazil's economy and provides insights into the quality of coffee beans produced in the country. Visitors can explore exhibits on the history of coffee trading and even participate in barista classes. The grandiose architecture adds to the allure of this museum, making it a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
A fun stop for any java enthusiast — you can learn how the coffee trade shaped Brazil’s history and then enjoy the caffeinated flow of good joe in the café. The interior is well preserved, and the main bidding hall is particularly interesting, both for its beautiful design and its exhibitions chronicling the decades of auctions held at the exchange.
Path F — Google review
The Museo del Café is more than just a stop for a caffeine fix—it’s an experience that wraps history, aroma, and flavor into one visit. You step inside and the scent of freshly roasted beans hits you first, warm and inviting. Then you notice the space itself—walls lined with vintage grinders, old roasting drums, and photographs that tell the story of coffee from its roots to your cup. The museum side walks you through every stage: planting, harvesting, drying, roasting, brewing. You get to see the tools and traditions behind the process, not just the polished final product. It’s the kind of place that makes you appreciate your morning cup in a whole new way. And then there’s the café—cozy tables, natural light, and staff who clearly care about the craft. The coffee is exceptional: rich, full-bodied, with layers of flavor that unfold as it cools. If you’re hungry, their breakfast and pastry options are worth it too—simple, fresh, and made to complement the coffee rather than overshadow it. What really stands out is how relaxed the whole experience feels. You can wander through the exhibits at your own pace, sit for a cup, or just watch the baristas work. It’s the kind of place where you could spend an hour and feel like you’ve both learned something and taken a little break from the rush outside.
Gaurav J — Google review
I enjoyed the stories on history of coffee and coffee industry in Brazil. The building itself was once in 19th century the coffee exchange office of Santos and still today has amazing good vibe. Some of the art presentations are very interesting - like the coffee mugs flowing out of a cupboard that could be relate to coffee bean being poured out of a sack.
Tt_ H — Google review
Free on Saturday, definitely not worth paying for this in my opinion. The upper floor is hidden away but has maps and history to see, the entire museum you could see in 30 minutes if you dont engage in coffee tasting.
Levi W — Google review
The museum tells the history of coffee in São Paulo state and Brazil, the exhibit is great, it has everything in English, and the building is beautiful. The museum also has a very nice coffee shop serving good coffee and cakes.
Barbara S — Google review
A journey through time! The building inside is beautiful and the architecture is wonderful. Very interesting place, for those who love coffee! It has a cafeteria that serves a brewed coffee that is delicious! ❤ I went in Dec / 20 and on the outside it is covered in renovation, not being able to take photos. In the surroundings there are beautiful buildings that are worth the scenery. The museum itself is fine. The monument is beautiful and, although it is not as interesting a visit in the city as the Aquarium or the Sacred Art Museum, it is worth it. The problem is, ironically, as another comment pointed out, in the cafe. I have the costume of drinking coffees of various types and expected much more from the place. Do not go to the cafeteria because you calculate expensive for ordinary coffees prepared in an ordinary way. If you ask for the museum's iced coffee with milk - which now costs R $ 18.00 and is one of the cheapest items in the establishment - you will leave with the impression that your homemade coffee with a little milk and ice would have came out tastier. Again, go to the museum, don't go to the cafeteria.
Anderson P — Google review
A nice building which is located near Pele Museum. There is a small admission fee. There are lockers where you need to put your bag in and it has a small cafe on the ground floor. Very detailed history on Brazilian coffee, educational with lots of information
Grace L — Google review
Great museum to learn about the farming and processing of coffee beans and extensive history related to coffee. The building is beautiful and there’s also information about the architecture and its origins. All of the information on the walls/signs is displayed in Portuguese but there’s large cards with all the same information in Spanish/English available too. Very informative! Entry was 10 reais.

The Santos Touristic Tram offers guided tours of the city center aboard restored trams, departing from an 1867 railway station. This original 1920 electric street car provides a picturesque way to explore the historical center of Santos, one of Brazil's oldest settlements. The ride offers a glimpse into the city's past and creates an open-air museum experience for tourists. Despite being in Portuguese, the tour is still worth it for its unique perspective on the old town of Santos.
Short route finished in 15 minutes, going around Old Santos. Many historic sites pointed out. Free espresso to sample nearby Rei Do Cafe.

All old towns have trams :D Whether it's in Europe or Brazil. It is very nice to see an old tram in such nice condition. Together with the buildings surrounding it, it is a beautiful example of the old town of Santos. Being there, you can feel the atmosphere of the past. You can also feel like in Europe, but unfortunately there such cultural values are neglected and often replaced by modernity. It is a good starting point for exploring the old town of Santos.

Cool little train ride through the historic center of Santos. Unfortunately all information provided is in Portuguese. Still worth it for 7 reais! The ride takes about 15 minutes and drops you off again where you started. There’s vendors of artisanal craft, food and beverages next to that point.

The train itself is very nice but the tour is very short and not very interesting. The buildings at that part of Santos are in need of restoration as most of them are derelict. A shame as it was a beautiful area one day.
