Beautiful but not spectacular. Apart from the natural scenery, it would be a great opportunity to just go out there for lunch though it's absolutely crowded over the weekend's. There some few shops outside around the vicinity where you can buy some small gifts at an absolutely affordable price.

It is where the rivers Poty and Parnaiba meet, and is home of the local folklore legend "Cabeça de Cuia". Besides the rivers view, this place does not offer much. It has a boat restaurant that offers local food and a tiny flea market on the weekends.

Bridges
(Translated by Google) This tour is too top! During the week, the tourist spot is a show, without those annoying queues, and promises amazing photos. The cable-stayed bridge is not only one of the key places in the capital of Piauí, but it is also an icon of modern architecture, firm and strong in its sustainable footprint - no concrete columns invading the river. Crossing the Poti River, this bridge makes life easier between the central area and the east of the city. The ride up the panoramic elevator only takes 3 minutes, but it's enough time to enjoy the view of the city. You can enjoy the view for 20 minutes during the week and 10 on weekends. And the air-conditioned gazebo? It's Eiffel Tower style, with a 360° view of the city. The Tupiniquim scheme is around 300m² and can accommodate up to 80 people. Did you like the vibe? Don't waste time and come here! (Original) Esse rolê é top demais! Durante a semana, o point turístico é show, sem aquelas filas chatas, e promete fotos iradas. Casarão do Padre Cícero

Museum
Specialty Museums
Nestled within the Horto complex, the Casarão do Padre Cícero is a captivating historical mansion that offers visitors a glimpse into the life of one of Brazil's most revered figures. This well-preserved site serves as a living museum, showcasing artifacts that belonged to Padre Cícero and reflecting both his personal history and that of Juazeiro do Norte.
(Translated by Google) First of all, if you need a guided tour of this or any other museum in the city, contact @juazeiroguia. Padre Cícero's mansion is a museum that was once one of the priest's residences. The place is well organized and clean. At the entrance, you can count on an automatic alcohol gel dispenser that you just need to put your hand under and it releases the alcohol without having to press. This house is where the living museum is located, with sculptures made to the size of characters from the history of Juazeiro. There are four scenes in total (one in the dining room, in the bedroom with the priest in the hammock, in the room of the heart of Jesus, in the office and the last one in the chapel). There is also a huge amount of "ex-votos", which are objects left by pilgrims for a grace received. In the museum, you can drink water from clay pots and buy souvenirs. It is a great place for those who like popular culture and history. The museum does not have guides. So if you need a guide to tell you the whole story of the city and Father Cicero, you can contact @juazeiroguia. (Leave a like so I know if I helped you in any way 😅) (Original) Primeiramente se você precisa de uma visita guiada nesse ou em qualquer museu da cidade, entre em contato com a @juazeiroguia.

(Translated by Google) The mansion is an older building and is part of the Horto complex. There you can see images that tell a little of the story of Padre Cícero. There is also a living museum that you can visit with pieces that belonged to the priest and reflect a little of his history and that of Juazeiro do Norte itself. The atmosphere of faith and devotion in a space that brings back memories of the reality of the first half of the 21st century in the region is striking. Dozens of enormous boulders scattered on a plateau with panoramic views over an arid landscape.
Very nice location. Be aware you can only access trough Cabaceiras. Google may guide you via the 412 and Aldeia but that road is closed. You need to buy tickets at Hotel Faizenda Pia Mateus. Guide is included in ticket price. Guide speaks Portuguese only.
Ronald B — Google review
First, this is a difficult place to visit. A group guide is required, that is available only at the fazeda (hotel) near the entrance. Secondly, know that reaching the hotel involves driving about 45 minutes on rough gravel roads. The tour is set-time, staring at 4:00 PM and ending after dark. Thus you are driving back to the paved road on dark gravel roads. Now for the tour. The group will walk a couple of miles with a serious incline. This is not mountain climbing, but rigorous for old and fat people. The group stops at various location to observe the "Flintstones" terrain. There are indeed odd rocks, massive boulders scattered about. Nothing comparable in the USA. The end of the walk is on top, with a perfect view of the surrounding valley and sunset. Take lots of photos. Tnis is highly recommended, if the logistics are not too scary. Oh, if you want you can eat and lodge at the hotel. This will avoid the nighttime drive back across the unpaved roads.

(Translated by Google) Hello, my Campina Grande, whoever saw you and whoever sees you will never recognize you again :) We were in Campina Grande, Paraíba, on August 7, 2024, after approximately 10 years. * It was a true reunion of souls, as I'm from Campina Grande, and revisiting the city brought back many special memories from the time I lived there for 18 long years. * We visited the Açude Velho, which for me is Campina Grande's most beautiful landmark. The place is stunning, right in the heart of the city. The promenade around the reservoir is widely used for walking, running, cycling, and events, offering a safe, spacious, and pleasant space for those who enjoy outdoor physical activities. * The surrounding nature, the view of the buildings, and the incredible sunset make the place even more special. It's easy to understand why it's one of the city's main tourist attractions. Besides the scenery, there are historical sites nearby, two museums, and the Parque da Criança (Children's Park) nearby. There are also parking spaces, making visiting the area much easier. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and kiosks. It's definitely worth visiting or revisiting. A true symbol of Campina Grande, it makes for great photos and memories.

Archaeological site
Sights & Landmarks
Historic Sites
Beautiful stone with well preserved petrogplyphs from the indiginous people. The stone is a bit in the middle of no where and when we visited we were the only people. There is a total of four places were you can clearly see petroglyphs. The main stone carving resembles a flood with a wave, followed by plants, palms and people. Some stone carvings also seem to represent stars. The site also has an information panel and many trees/plants have an information sign explaining what the plant is. There is also a small museum with an entrance of 5 real. Overall, really worth visiting this archeoligical site. The entrance is surprisingly free and the access road is in good conditions. The walking path to and around the Ingá stone are in good condition but some places might be difficult to walk for older people.

A place with a lot of historical value and barely nobody knows about... Simple but totally worth visiting
Aku R — Google review
The Ingá Stone is located in the middle of the Ingá River in the small Brazilian city of Ingá (know you know how it got its name). What is it? It’s a rock formation that is covered with petroglyphs (or stone picture carvings). The prehistoric carvings were done over time and the most recent additions may have been added as recently as the 18th Century—all done by local native tribes. The meaning and/or purpose of these carvings is unknown and undeciphered. Some of the carvings resemble animals, fruits, the Orion Constellation and other less-easily distinguishable figures. The carvings are also known as the Itacoatiara do Ingá (pronounced: “EEta- cwa – tiara”), which is the name in the Tupi language of the original natives. “Ita” means stone and “coatiara” means picture. This is not the only such site with carvings in this part of Brazil, but it is one of the biggest. Still, when we visited, there was nobody here. The northeast of Brazil is less-visited by tourists than the south; this site sits 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the capital of the state, so that also contributes to the lack of tourism, but that’s good for you if you do go! To get there, the roads aren’t bad and you can find it on your Waze or Google Maps. I was really impressed with this site and I was very glad I visited. If you’re anywhere near here, you really should come visit.

Ruber Van Der Linden Park, a prominent recreational area, stands out as an impressive destination for nature enthusiasts. This park boasts a multitude of attractive features that are sure to captivate visitors. With its vast array of amenities, including playgrounds, picnic spots, and walking trails, there is no shortage of activities to enjoy. The picturesque surroundings provide a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Enjoy this place. All are welcome!!

It's one of the best parks in the city, especially for a walk, with good tracks and signals throughout the way. However, it is not that clean nor a really beautiful place. There's almost no other plant than eucalyptus, since this tree release substances that usually supress any other kind of plant. Then there's no grass to rest and play on, and soil is exposed and hard, except in the fields for games such as volleyball and soccer, where the ground is sand. During the Winter Festival, special events are held in here, such as concerts, art demonstrations and circus.

Casa-Museu Mestre Vitalino is a captivating destination for anyone interested in the rich history of handicraft art from Brazil's Northeast region. This charming museum is located in the very home where the renowned artist Mestre Vitalino spent his final years, and he even built it himself! Today, it serves as a tribute to his legacy, showcasing reproductions of his remarkable work. Managed by his grandchildren, this intimate space offers visitors a glimpse into the life and artistry of Mestre Vitalino.
Great place to learn about the history of Brazilian North east handicraft art. This is the house where Mestre Vitalino used to live at the end of his life. He constructed the house itself. Now it hosts a museum about him amd there are some reproductions of his work. The museum is taken care of by his grand children. Entrance is 2 real and there is parking closeby. The museum also has some reproduction art that you can buy.

Capela de São Benedito - Igrejinha dos Carneiros

Catholic church
Sights & Landmarks
Green & white landmark chapel built in the 18th century, backed by palms & with sea views.
Ok, I wrote in another review about Carneiros Beach so I'm not gonna repeat myself...Anyway, it's a famous place to visit here, kinda unique and also kinda crowded, all the tours go there in same time and there is a line if you wanna take picture in front of the church...But still I think it's a place you should visit since you are in that area, it would be a shame not to...with or without crowds you gonna have nice time, for sure 😊

This is a nice place, it's located in a resort area. However it is strongly recommended that you speak the language. We came here in July there's a lot of seaweed on the shore and water clarity is poor...the weather is really nice about mid seventies and if the sun is out you will get burned. Overall a good visit but there are better areas if you like people watching and clear water.

Association Manatee

Association / Organization
Sights & Landmarks
Association Manatee, also known as Associacao Peixe Boi, is a marine conservation organization in Porto de Pedras that offers educational opportunities such as boat tours and manatee sightings. Established in 2009 by local community guides, the association aims to preserve the endangered species and raise environmental awareness in local schools through partnerships with ICMBio. Visitors can witness manatees in their natural habitat within the mangroves and observe those receiving treatment.
They do a really amazing job in helping to preserve and take care of the manatees injured. The tour was really informative and you can see the manatees in the river, also the ones receiving treatment. It is totally worth supporting them doing the tour.

Praia de Porto da Rua

Beach
Nature & Parks
The stunning beach of Porto da Rua in Sao Miguel dos Milagres, Alagoas, is a sight to behold. With its beautiful coastline and crystal-clear waters, it is a must-visit destination. The beach offers various amenities such as tents where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenic views. Additionally, there are boat trips available for those who want to explore the surrounding areas and take in the enchanting beauty of the region.
(Translated by Google) One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. Being on this beach at low tide is a life-changing experience that connects you to the eternal forces of nature within and outside of you. First, I took a raft ride to the natural pools, which lasted almost 2 hours in total, with 30 minutes of transportation in a heavenly crystal-clear sea, a little over 1 hour of diving in wonderful natural pools and then 10 minutes of manatee spotting. This tour cost 75 reais and was worth every penny. After that, I wandered through the shallow waters among the corals and dived with swimming goggles to see beautiful fish living their carefree lives among the corals, without thinking about the meaning of life, work and society, just living. At low tide, a huge shallow area forms where all of this is possible. I then decided to explore the beach further to the north, where I came across sandbanks that jutted out into the sea, waters of various colors, a river mouth and more corals, as well as an area where it was possible to be in the water at a certain depth even at low tide. On the way back, with the tide rising, I noticed that the landscape was already very different, without being able to see the corals and at a certain depth.

Maragogi Natural Pools in Alagoas, Brazil, are a set of well-preserved pools with shallow and crystal-clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling among the coral. The most famous pool is the Welsh, which is the largest in the region and can be reached by boat or hired tours with guides from local agencies. These pools offer opportunities to snorkel or dive amidst clear waters, colorful fish, and coral formations.
Best of the best. I've really enjoyed

Beautiful place where we can see clear water and several fishes. But it depends on weather and people crowded. It tales 20 to 30 minutes to reach here by boat. I recommend to take snorkel set.
Papipupenta — Google review
Super crowded (over 10 boats to a pool) with very low visibility. The place is an absolute money grab, the companies simply want to sell you snorkling, photos, drinks, everything you can imagine once you are in the water with them... besides that there service is just unfriendly. Do not recommend it as it is a waste of money that is causing more harm than good to the environment. It might have been good in the past but now is simply a circus of boats and prople selling you stuff in the water. '

Without a doubt a must visit situation. The natural pools are amazing. Take care that you ask for the correct times. You need to make sure you get a catamaran. The service and prices are the beach are okay, nothing to crazy and as expected.

I have done 2 tours and both of them were so full of people. Maragogi is overrated 100%. City does not infrastructure needed / swming pool - the visibility is low in some points and definatly they is not fish diversity. I saw people diving with cilindro in less than 1 meter depth. Until now was the worse place that I have been. Too Many people they try to seel you everything even to take pictures. Sao Miguel dos milagres is smaller but the tours over there to swimming pool were nicer .

Ok, nothing special. Brown coral, perhaps three or four species of fish. Nice for an hour or so. Glad it wasn't far and was relatively cheap.

We took a small beautiful Haus in this wonderful piece of Brazilian nature enjoying the Long Beach and the beautiful sea. Afters the sea level goes down you are able to see a lot of small islands covered with a lot of corals and form a lot of natural pools

(Translated by Google) Small guesthouse with only 2 chalets, located in the best part of Patacho Beach (only 100m from the sea but with chairs and umbrellas on the beach and far from the operators' reception areas). Super exclusive, safe and well-decorated environment for those who want peace and quiet. Naturally heated pool due to the heat of the region. Fair price. Very friendly and attentive owners with great experience in hosting people. Thank you for your kindness and chats. (Translated by Google) An intimate place to stay. Exclusive environment, since the surrounding inns are not accessible to everyone and neither are the remains to eat. The place itself is very good, the room has everything you need to be comfortable: good mattress, good shower, large bathroom, good air conditioning. Breakfast is very good and complete. However, there are no markets in the surrounding area where you can buy food or even a bottle of water, so you must pay what the inn requests. This particular accommodation, because it is small and not on the beach, tries to provide you with lounge chairs and an umbrella. Anyway, at lunch time, you end up looking for a hostel, because the place does not provide food. And since in those places they give you the umbrella and the lounge chair with the drink you end up staying there, hahaha... at least that's how it happened to us... The beach is nice, you can walk to the natural pools, I recommend wearing water shoes now there are hidden urchins and sharp corals under the water. The beach may not appeal to everyone, since the dynamics are determined by the rise and fall of the tide... for many hours the water reaches your knees no matter how much you walk (a kilometer leisurely). Happy stay! Feliz estancia!

(Translated by Google) A super exclusive guesthouse, with just two charmingly arranged chalets, a very pleasant area with a pool and balcony, all in very good taste. Two couples and that was it, they booked the guesthouse with total privacy. In addition, great wines, ice-cold beer, Trousseau amenities and top-notch linens. A real find. Not to mention the food... Jesus. Delicious! Worth the trip! Antunes Beach is a picturesque and relaxed destination in Maragogi, Alagoas. It is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, natural pools, and coral reefs, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and diving. The beach offers a calm atmosphere, ideal for families and those seeking relaxation. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of beachside stalls offering food and drinks, as well as the option to rent umbrellas and chairs.
Excellent beach. Clear and calm waters. You can walk to the corals when the tide is low (5km aprox) There are small bars that rent a table with beach umbrella and chairs as long as you need only by consuming a 'petisco' (which is a kind of fast food). There are also 'beach vendors' that provides ice creams, 'cocadas' (kind of sweet cookie made from coconut and condensed milk, excellent), coconut water... etc. You'll also find kids selling their art, or at least expecting you to see how they create their art, they are awesome.

The beach itself is very beautiful, but too crowded for my likings. Hard to get there and find a place to relax without receiving offers of tours, jet ski, food, etc.

Very nice beach. The sea is a swimming pool, no waves. You can walk through the sea for 5 km to reach some kind of small island that have mini-pools with fish and Krabi. Very nice to do the walk.
