Good for a tourist trip
Marcia ( — Google review
There are 2 different operators and different trips to do. We only did one which went to cangaço (100 reais each for our tour ). The boat ride was about 50min (starts at 9am ) till a eco parque. The trail starts there (an additional cost of 30 reais) (1.5 km one way and the same back ) with historical explanations in Portuguese (passing through cânions and memorials). There is a very nice waterslide that goes very fast for the daredevils (happy kids). There is also a buffet that costs 60 reais each with a large variety of food (fish, vegetables, meat, fruits). The boat plays intense ternambucian, sergipian bahian music. great

(Translated by Google) A unique tour, with extraordinary people. The service, helpfulness, education, stories told during the tour and the beautiful swimming spots recommended by the family responsible for the Sertão catamaran were undoubtedly the difference that made us enchanted throughout the entire tour we took, in addition to the natural beauty that the region offers us. From the telephone contact to schedule the tour with Mr. Hugo, the patriarch of the family, who was transparent about all the tour options as well as clarifying all the doubts we had. Until the day of the tour, when we were welcomed by Mateus and Mrs. Efigênia, Mr. Hugo's son and wife. He, responsible for the boat, was fun, attentive and helpful throughout the tour, and she, with all the education and friendliness, was responsible for the bar and kitchen service on the catamaran, where they prepared beautiful drinks, appetizers and a pastel that could be said to be the best in the region. I am very happy to recommend the services of the Sertão Catamaran as it was an unparalleled experience for us in the group and as was said, see you soon, as we will definitely be back.

(Translated by Google) Meeting someone like Hugo is simply gratifying, not to say surprising. A simple man but with unparalleled wisdom and knowledge. I spent some time talking to him and listening to stories that books don't tell about the backlands and banditry. All told by someone who had contact with relatives of the protagonists. The tour is fantastic and will please even the most demanding. As he would say: "I'm at the helm and God is in control..." Good luck, my brother.

It's a very interesting, but small exhibit. It's fun to see, but keep in mind that you will maybe spend there 1-2 hours MAX. If you don't have a tour! We went 2 hours before closing and it was the perfect time to go.
B. N — Google review
It is definitely a place worth visiting. You can admire turtles of different sizes, from tiny hatchlings to enormous old turtles. While they offer guided tours, unfortunately, these tours are not available in English, and not all exhibit descriptions have English translations. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the visit.
Arkadiusz J — Google review
Amazing from A to Z you can spend a whole day here with the kids and they'll never get board. Food, play area. Shows and lots of nice vibes. Highly recommended the kids can feed the turtles too!
Yasmeen F — Google review
I was very impressed with the amount of information about turtles. They have a number of different turtles as well as other sea life. Also there's turtles that have been found injured that are being treated. With the moderate admission it was well worth the experience. I was very impressed with the obvious passion the staff has to support the mission of protecting turtles. The staff were readily available to answer the questions that our group had. The gift shop had a number of beautiful options. Make a visit here a part of your vacation to Priai do forte!

Fun outdoor activity to do with kids (free under 5)! Employees are kind, always available to explain or help. Fun way to learn about turtles. There are also sharks and rays to see. The gift shop is nice too :) For people with babies, please note that there are 2 bathrooms on the site, but only one that is baby friendly. It's the one located at the entrance of the park where you pay your ticket. Enjoy :)

(Translated by Google) From an infrastructure standpoint, it is an essential service that is extremely useful and important for the transportation and integration of the capital and the highways that come from the South, Southeast and Central-West of Brazil. Ferry boats deserve better attention from the government, as well as the services provided. The vessels that were once extremely modern, today require minimal repairs and care. It is worth mentioning that other states in Brazil do not have ferries of this quality and construction, so maintenance would be enough to improve service conditions. Pedestrians and all types of vehicles board with practically no restrictions. (Translated by Google) Terminal without good signage. When you get to the entrance, you can hardly tell it's a terminal, because what you see above it is a huge advertisement that looks more like the entrance to a company than the entrance to the terminal. The service is disorganized, and it wasn't busy, I can only imagine what it would be like on weekends and holidays. The bathroom is filthy, dirtier than an old gas station on the side of the road. It's absolutely absurd for the price they charge! How can the government of Bahia not monitor the service provided by this concession? The concessionaire Internacional Travessias is certainly not following the rules of the contract. It's a clear case that privatization will not improve the service if there is no monitoring and follow-up of the contract by the concessionaire!!!

Churches & Cathedrals
The Basílica do Senhor do Bonfim, an impressive 18th-century church situated on Sacred Hill, is a significant stop on Bahia's religious tourism route. Each year, the renowned Lavagem do Bonfim ceremony unites Catholics and Candomblé practitioners in devotion. The neoclassical interior showcases remarkable works of art such as Francisco Velasco's ceiling panel and Jose Rufino Capinam's paintings at the entrance.
The Basilica do Senhor do Bonfim is a beautiful and culturally significant church worth visiting. However, the experience can be somewhat diminished by persistent sellers and Baianas asking for money if you take their picture. While the architecture and atmosphere are impressive, be prepared for these interruptions during your visit.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to be grateful for your life, that's the place where you can get your blessings.

It is the most famous of the Catholic churches of Salvador, in the State of Bahia, Brazil. It was built in the 18th century. Fitinha do Senhor do Bonfim is a souvenir and popular amulet that can be found being sold by street vendors around the Church. Go there early before midday and do not forget to buy your bracelets
Giovanni N — Google review
Visited the Basilica this morning. There were not many people and parking was not that difficult. By about 1030 Hrs, the place was filling as the mass had started at 1030 Hrs. There was no ticket to purchase but you could donate any amount you want to.

A must see during your visit to Salvador. A beautiful cathedral that captures the heart and soul of one of the oldest cities established in the new world. It’s local custom to tie ribbons at the gate in front of the church and say a prayer to the Holy Savior of the Bay of all Saints. Inside the cathedral and deep rooted in the Afro-Brazillian Candomblé traditions and the Catholic Ex-Voto, the afflicted offer wax casts in body parts to Saints as thanks or hope of healing them.
Giacomo L — Google review
The church is beautiful and full with the visitors but should be careful about the guy at the parking lot along the street they are asking for 20 reais for every car.
Patrick D — Google review
Beautiful church carrying a lot of history. There was service when we arrived and it was crowded but we found seats and could enjoy the amazing interior of the church whilst praying. Be aware about parking and souvenir prices, street vendors try to make money on unadvised tourists.
Cinthia A — Google review
Good vibe to get your blessings. Given the importance in Brazil you would expect a grand church. It is, however relatively small and simple, but never the less impressive for its significance for the faithful in Brazil. Great photo opportunities with the colourful Senhor do Bonfim ribbons tied to the church gate.

Of you are not from Brasil this is the place to be. It's a safe area of the city. I have been living in brasil for seven years. This is the safest area I've seen traveling in the county. I will continue to bring my family here because of the beach, food, and safety. Good. job to the governor here in Salvador for at least keeping one section for families here safe.

It is a very nice beach even though it has lots of rocks along the shore.

Great beach, not so crowded, with fun waves. Recommended visit when in Salvador.

Such a nice beach, tropical. Many restaurant close by and seemed pretty safe. Only the water is not that clean due to a lot of sea plants.

A very nice and clean beach

Definitely worth the 45min drive, this beach is amazing. Food and drinks available directly at the beach, as well as restaurants with super clean toilets. Plenty of Uber cars to go back to Salvador.
Enrico S — Google review
There is an amazing place, to enjoy the sun of Bahia, food on the beach, very tasty traditional and organic food, natural juices fruits squized a front of you, no additives no E chemicals. Just to be careful that some stones in the water, just avoid them.
Daniela G — Google review
Best beach in Salvador in my opinion! Variety of stalls, trendy bars, clean, hot water, great waterfront ... A great option for all audiences. I paid 10 reais on an umbrella, and drank beer worth 8 on average, water costs around 4 reais, cheap snacks. Worth the trip. Beautiful beach, twenty-six miles from the center of Salvador, with an extensive strip of sand, therefore, in several points, quite deserted, even in high season. Located in a quiet neighborhood next to Stella Maris and Itapuã, but with plenty of services such as restaurants, markets, cafeterias and a shop that serves very well for everyday needs. Great place to relax with the family.

The Elevador Lacerda is a historic art deco elevator that provides scenic views while connecting the upper and lower parts of Salvador. It offers a convenient and affordable way to explore the old city center, with taxis, buses, and foot travel also being viable options. This iconic elevator was erected in the mid to late 1800s and showcases impressive Art Deco design from additional work done in the early 20th century.
It's a small pastry and ice cream shop situated right next to the elevator. I have to admit that the ice creams are delicious, generously served, and really cheap. You may choose to get them in a cone or a cup. The 'Pave' flavor is amazing! Pave is a Brazilian cake-like dessert.
Arkadiusz J — Google review
The City around the elevator is dangerous. The elevator looks good, but it's not spectacular to use.
Matheus Z — Google review
A tourist attraction with a lot of history. ⭐ The elevator is very fast and takes you to the upper city in a few seconds ⭐ We did not pay an entrance fee and did not have to wait in a queue ⭐ Nothing else to say or to do. Very straightforward. It is an elevator after all. But fun nonetheless! Also, prices for souvenirs in the upper city are cheaper than at Mercado Modelo!
B. N — Google review
Lacerda Elevator was the first urban elevator in the world when it opened on December 8, 1873 the 63 meters tall elevator takes you from lower town to upper town. A major tourist attractions and photo spot of Salvador. Great views of the bay and the governors palace.

Beware of people who try to sell souvenirs and paint your body. They pretend it’s a freebie but will try to get as much as they can from you. Another advice, do not wear gold necklaces and such. Large groups or maybe with a guide is safer.
Rodrigo A — Google review
The history behind the construction is interesting, however it’s not a great place to go. Going up and down costs R$0,15 per visitor and the elevator is too crowded, hot as hell and smells sweat. Great view up there though.
Enzo — Google review
It's very cheap at only R$0.15, and conveniently located. It facilitates a 10 minute walk from the ferry to Pelourinho or from Pelourinho to the market. There may be a bit of a line depending on the time of day that you visit. Can also get a bit hot during the day. There are stunning views from the top, a very popular photo op spot, as well as a famous ice cream shop help you beat the heat. Can't miss it on a visit to Salvador and I definitely recommend taking it at least once.
Andre W — Google review
Better one to dine in. Beautiful ambient. Sitting area overlooking sun set and Mercado Modelo. It is right at exit of the upper level of Elevator. Best time to have ice cream is during sun set

Farol da Barra Beach is a lively destination popular for swimming and sunbathing. It is home to the St. Anthony Fort and the historic Farol da Barra lighthouse, where Amerigo Vespucci arrived in 1501. The beach offers stunning views of All Saints Bay and the city, with amenities such as eateries, beach umbrellas, and loungers for rent.
My wife added this place to our list when we visited Salvador — and we’re glad she did. The lighthouse and old fortress are full of history, and there’s a great little surprise on the rooftop: a spot where you can enjoy tasty Brazilian food and drinks. If you go at the right time, the sunset view is absolutely unforgettable.

Must stay in this area very happening and lively neighbourhood. Good food options not much option for vegetarians, feels save due to police nearby. Beach is amazing you can go anytime you want. Rentals bicycle and mini scooters wil be available.
Farhat J — Google review
The place is very beautiful. Once inside, everything is clean, the view is stunning, and you feel safe. However, the place should have security for tourists. The vendors outside, desperate for your money like hungry hyenas, made the experience unpleasant. They tried to paint us with their products and wouldn’t take “no” for an answer. It was truly a horrible experience. Therefore, I give the place a 2 out of 5.

The 2a Praia in Morro de Sao Paulo is a popular beach with people looking for lots of fun during the holidays. It's home to some of the most popular beach bars and restaurants in town, as well as some of the most beautiful views of the ocean. It's just a short walk from the center of town and it's always crowded during high season, thanks to tourists who love its laid-back atmosphere and cool water.
The best place in morro de São Paulo , very lively, amazing beach and views and good vibes !
Alexandra G — Google review
this is a very lively crowded beach, it is semi-swimmable, but doesn't feel too clean, more for a dip in the water, as its a small bay on both sides of the point/ small island. its more a very vibrant area with a lot of choice to eat and drink, and a boardwalk for walking along the coastline, and people watch (a tonne of people watching here!!!). for a European visitor, it has Ibiza vibes, high season. so if you like party and busy, mixture of loud music, and young people, this is for you!!
MNML J — Google review
Beautiful beach, you can lie down and never have to get up, someone will get you all the acai and caipi you'll need. Lots of football, dancers and people having fun!
Pavel K — Google review
The beach may have been beautiful years before but over tourism has taken its charm. For one, it is highly commercialised with several overpriced and poor quality restaurants such as Sambass, where I had a terrible meal. I am a tourist myself, but feel there was a strange vibe from the swarm of tourists there who don’t seem to understand the basic manners of public spaces and I was made to feel uncomfortable by a group of men sitting strangely close to our towels and causing us to have to move away as they began playing football over our heads. Not to mention, the beach is filthy with trash left behind from such tourists. The beach was unenjoyable due to the above and I genuinely wouldn’t recommend spending your time and money to go there. There are many other beaches in Brazil with a much better ambience and less tourists with no manners.
S D — Google review
This place it's amazing, I can't wait to go back. If you want to save some money on food you better eat at the various restaurants at the village unread go to the beach.

Quarta Praia is a tranquil and secluded beach in Morro de Sao Paulo, known for its peaceful atmosphere and calm sea. It is one of the farthest beaches from the island's center, offering a long stretch of sand and delightful warm natural pools during low tide. The clear and warm waters attract numerous tourists seeking relaxation and natural beauty. Despite being less frequented due to its distance, it provides an ideal setting for those looking for restful moments away from the hustle and bustle.
Best beach in Morro. Quiet, very long and beautiful walk. We enjoyed spending time in the hammocks on the beach and had good fruit juices.
Gigi F — Google review
The sea is cleaner and clearer here, compared to 1,2,3 beaches. however it is shallow and full of rocks. so it's only for a dip/bath and not really for a swim at all. there are a handful of restaurant/bars or stalls here on the beach. the drawing point is that it is much more peaceful and beautiful than the first 2 beaches, where they are just way too busy.
MNML J — Google review
The beach is beautiful, but for those who want bath or swim, it’s better to keep walking till the second half of the beach
Bruno L — Google review
Really liked it. Away from the crowds of the other beaches that are closer to the town centre you'll find a nice beach with very little amount of people (takes a while to get there as you can only get there by foot I think). Because of that, unfortunately this isn't an option for people with reduced mobility. There are a couple of bars that (I think) serve some food (although we didn't eat). Not a place to watch the sunset, best during the morning/day time (till 16:30-17:00)
Isa A — Google review
Much quieter than in town. Worth walking here and sitting in the shade of the big trees after a splash.
Paolo D — Google review
It’s a very flat and shallow beach, even with the tide. The mud is very soft and is good for rubbing on your skin or throwing at your friends (or enemies, you choose). It’s the least crowded beach, especially farther south.

Accessible by various means such as boat, quad bike, or even tractor, Moreré's beauty has been likened to that of the Caribbean.
Morere is difficult to get to but well worth it: small quiet village, no noise, total relaxation. Transportation on the island includes tractors, ATVs, and boats. A boat trip to the mangrove areas and wild beaches is worthwhile.

Itacarezinho Beach is a tropical paradise located on Ilhe Itacare road, 15 km from the city center. This 3.5 km long beach is surrounded by coconut trees and features powdery white sand and a freshwater stream cascading down from the hill onto the beach. It's known for its good waves, making it a popular spot for surfing. To reach this picturesque destination, visitors can either walk down the hill or drive through private property.
This spot is as close to heaven as you can get here on earth. Be sure to stop at the Mirante on the way down for a beautiful photo. If you have the money, you can rent a gorgeous cabana, but be prepared to open up your wallet. It’s about $300R per person. $250R comes back in food and drinks. The second option is $300R total for chairs, an umbrella, pizza and a few beers. My best recommendation is solid footwear for the walk (10 mins downhill and 15 mins uphill), carry your Havianas, and bring water, snacks, and towels. You can also hike to another nearby beach on a trail should you choose. Last great perk, you can rinse off in a fresh water waterfall coming from the nearby river. Totally worth the trek.
Adrienne M — Google review
Very beautiful and quiet beach. You can get there by walking through the club, leaving your vehicle on the roadside. If you want to go down, they charge R$350 per person, which will be converted into consumption. We used the entrance fee and it wasn't worth it. I recommend walking down as access is quick and safe. There's a very good pizzeria on the beach that doesn't charge for food and costs R$80 for a pizza for two people. They also rent chairs, but as there are lots of coconut palms, a canga on the beach with the shade of these trees will take the edge off the sun.

Visitors can enjoy shopping for chocolate, delicacies, clothes, and souvenirs. The city is praised for its beautiful sunset views and affordable prices on tourist items. High City is recommended for history enthusiasts and those who appreciate scenic landscapes.
My experience at the Historic Center of Discovery was very enjoyable. I learned many interesting things and highly recommend visiting the place, as it appeals to everyone, regardless of age.

Weather wasn't great so my photos are all dark but the place is nice. If you love to shop then you'll love it as much as I did. Great chocolate and other delicacies and also clothes and souvenirs

Beautiful place, lovely people!! If you have some knee problem, might as well sit down on the grass when you're far from the restaurants, tho

Passarela do Descobrimento, also known as the Alcohol Catwalk, is a vibrant seafront promenade in Porto Seguro. Lined with palm trees and pastel-colored colonial buildings, it offers a lively nightlife and shopping experience. Visitors can explore an array of shops, restaurants, bars, and carts selling alcoholic beverages. The area is perfect for indulging in local cuisine and purchasing unique souvenirs.
During the day it is easy to admire the colorful buildings. After 18:00 there are a lot of market stalls which can make it a bit crowded. Plenty of restaurants and shops available

A must visit, attractive, colorful and joyful part of the town to visit, with many stores to spend on and buy artisanal gifts for yourself or loved ones! Filled with fun people, events, as well as some rather annoying salespeople but they are the staple of what Porto Seguro tourism is about however, they are easy to avoid when you know the routes and how to say no 😄.

The only thing there's to do in Porto Seguro at night. Lots of people walking, dining, drinking and strolling around looking at a 💯 stands of alcohol, chocolates, Bahian food and some live music. It continues to be very live until the bars near the sea. Good few hours before calling it a night.

Stunning colorful streets in the day that transform at night into a vibrant market with restaurants, street food, craft markets, street performers. There is so much energy and good vibes.

Totally reformulated. Now it's very convenient to eat, to buy stuff and to have fun.

Best prices and all the products that we found while traveling in Porto Seguro, Caraiva, and Arraial dAjuda.

A nice walk you can make around the city. It’s in between the sea and the shops. Around the evening it’s full of people and sellers. You should be careful with your belongings too. In conclusion, it’s beautiful way to see part of the culture of Porto Seguro.

Arraial Eco Parque

Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Water park with slides, pools & a beach, plus zip lines & performances of traditional dancing.
My experience at the park was very good, the weather is sunny and warm, I had a lot of fun at the park! It has many food options, affordable tickets, a nice and clean park, a good place to relax and several options for having fun. It's really worth going to the Arraial d'Ajuda park!!

Very beautifully laid out park. The most beautiful thing is the forest in which the park is located. So much green and birds chirping everywhere. It would be a real "eco" park if the park would do without plastic. I don't understand why plastic cups and plates are used. This produces so much trash.

Nice place for entertainment with some very nice slides and a very good wave pool. The food was also good with a good variety of things, although the system and process of getting the food was very Brazilian and a bit slow. They could also have a better variety of slides in the space they have. In conclusion it is a very nice place to go with your kids if you are hanging around Arajal d'ajuda.

Nice family water/adventure park. Not huge, but has an area for smaller kids and then a lazy river, water slides, zip lines and other activities for older kids and adults. Tons of food options including self serve buffet by weight. You can spend half a day here or a full day easily.

Beautiful place and view, very neat and organized, lots of food options. A great way to pass your day, especially with small children

I went to eco park on Wednesday, October 12-2022. For a tourist attraction that has been around this long should be more organized. The entry to this park is a joke. 1st - they have two people checking people for contraband items. But they seem to not check people who they personally know. I watched people enter with cookies, chocolate bars , potato chips numerous items. 2nd - the lineup to pay for entry is also a joke. They don’t have enough lines or people working the lines. 3rd - they only accept specific identification for the discount. If your like me who has been here living and have all my utilities included in my rent. They will not give you a discount even though my cell bill has my Arraial D’Ajuda address and my ferry card also. 4th - the so called life guards working the wave pool are also a joke. When the live entertainment is on they forget about the people in the pool. I had to swim over to a young girl to help her as she went to the deep end. I turned around and seen all 5 life guards watching the live entertainment. If that child was mine I would file a lawsuit against the workers and also the park for negligence. The other staff in the park were helpful and polite . 👍The food concessions were good . But again not enough of them based on days when there are holidays in this region. The staff who come around and clean up the tables and areas were excellent 👍 I was told by a few staff that it is much better on days when there is no holiday in the region. So I will go one more time and see even though I have to pay R$120.00 to enter . Unfortunately, based on this experience I would have to only give this park a 2 ⭐️.

The facilities were good, but the money-grab was a deal breaker. You cannot bring your own food it drinks. You have to purchase food there, but you can't use cash or card--you have to put credit on a card that they provide for a small fee. If you use cash to put credit on that card, you can get back what you don't use, but you won't get anything back if you put credit on their food card using your credit or debit card. The food they sell is expensive and of poor to medium quality at best. Kids will probably have a good time, because they're not the ones paying for the experience. Adults, on the other hand, will probably be disappointed in regard to the cost/ benefit ratio.

Praia de Cumuruxatiba, also known as Praia do Pier, is a stunning destination with a tree-lined golden-sand shoreline that's perfect for swimming and leisurely walks. The area boasts excellent beachfront infrastructure, including top-notch restaurants like Ucanto da Cigana and Restaurante do Hermes. While prices may not be budget-friendly, there are more affordable options available at the snack bars and tapioca stalls around the town square.
This place it's amazing if you're looking dia a place to rest and relax. But the roads to get there it in really bad conditions, take care of its your time. Beach its quiet and very low waves which is suitable for kids.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach. The town's main attraction is the inns and beachfront restaurants. There is a small square that opens at night with several stalls and a restaurant for snacks. Excellent beach for children, the elderly and those who don't like waves. There are SUP and kayak rentals. There is a fishing village nearby. The stalls are more expensive than the others in Prado. I recommend Binotto's, where the food is very good. I left Prado about 35 km away, which was a little rainy, and took 1 hour and 30 minutes. The road was made of sand due to the rain, and it was a bit tense because it was very muddy and full of potholes. If it rains, think twice about going. It passes by several beaches. There are some beautiful cliffs to take pictures of, including Praia da Amendoeira, which is fantastic. It is worth the stop. (Original) Praia linda. Vale a pena a parada.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, the haphazard occupation of the riverbanks that run through the village has brought a lot of sewage, noticeable in the 'smell' emanating from them. But it's a beautiful beach.

(Translated by Google) Very quiet beach, with clearer waters than in Prado. Access by road is not good, so people with low-lying cars will have a hard time. However, if you are in a good mood and not in a hurry, it is an excellent place to visit.
