(Translated by Google) The beach is very beautiful, with a warm and calm sea. However, I have some concerns: - There is a lot of trash on the sand, and it seems that the city government does not collect it or raise awareness among the population - The beach is deserted and even a little unsafe in the morning. - Access to the beach is simply precarious and horrible. The streets have huge holes, open sewage and lots and lots of trash thrown in vacant lots and on the sidewalks. The city government of Ribamar URGENTLY needs to take care of this beautiful beach so that tourists can return. Think about it. Pensem nisto.

(Translated by Google) Good for those who enjoy being at the beach. The local tide means that a swim won't go past your waist if the tide is high, or a vast expanse of sand if the tide is low. (Translated by Google) Very basic hostel for the price charged. There is no minibar in the double room, the TV was not working, the sheets were stained and the towels were old and almost torn. The night shift staff was grumpy. They provided face towels after we asked several times. They do not clean the room or replace toilet paper and soap unless requested. Other rooms had hammocks for resting, but ours did not. (Original) Pousada muito simples pelo valor cobrado. (Translated by Google) They treat customers very badly. I made a reservation and immediately received a message asking me to make a transfer to confirm the reservation within 24 hours. In theory, I would have until the next day to make the deposit. But the hotel immediately sent another email saying that they wanted to cancel the reservation due to lack of transfer. When I questioned this, they said that they had no more vacancies, even though the reservation had been confirmed. This is disrespectful to the consumer. I will not make the deposit and will look for another hotel. It is because of these situations of disrespect that we clog the courts with lawsuits.

(Translated by Google) The Preguiças River is located in the state of Maranhão and is part of the Lençóis Maranhenses complex. It rises in the municipality of Santana do Maranhão, at an altitude of approximately 120 meters, and runs for almost 135 km until reaching its mouth in the Atlantic Ocean in the municipality of Barreirinhas. The river's name is thought to be due to the presence of many sloths that inhabited the forests along the riverbanks, but some say the name is due to the river's calm, tranquil waters. The climate in the region is tropical, very hot and humid, with rainfall distributed in two seasonal periods: rainy from January to July and a dry season from August to December. Average temperatures in the region range between 26 and 27°C, with maximum temperatures reaching 38°C, while annual rainfall ranges between 1,600 and 1,800 mm. The region's vegetation is characterized by the presence of cerrado and riparian forests, as well as dunes, sandbanks, and mangroves near its mouth. Boat and speedboat tours along the river are a major tourist attraction in the Lençóis Maranhenses region, with highlights including Lençóis National Park, Pequenos Lençóis, Mandacarú Lighthouse, Caburé, and Atins.

Sights & Landmarks
Lighthouses
Historic conical concrete 35-m.-high lighthouse from 1909 offering sweeping panoramic views.
Very nice view on the top. Lots of stairs, keep in mind if you have any movility problem.
Abraham H — Google review
Great view. Hard to get to and be prepared for a good walk up. The people in the village were really enjoyable. You must finish before 11 am. After the lighthouse is closed.
Mark P — Google review
A deactivated lighthouse, it was used by the Brazilian Navy, but it's a very interesting visit. There are many steps to climb, but it's safe because they limit the number of people allowed to climb. While some go down, others go up at the same time, using the same staircase. Sometimes you have to stop and wait, because when you get close to the viewpoint, only one person can go up or down. Once you get to the viewpoint, there isn't much space, but in one round, you can see all sides and take photos. It's quite safe, but it's not accessible for those with mobility difficulties.
R. M — Google review
Nice view and for free (no entrance fee). Get prepared for the stairs! The downside is the way/path from the small port (need to go by boat)
Gustavo B — Google review
Good visiting point between Barreirinhas and Atins, by boat. You can go up all the stairs up to the top of the lighthouse, which provides good views from the surrounding area, and you can visit it for free.
Alex Y — Google review
Very nice tip stop when you do little lençóis trip Grab a bargain in the shops before the Light house 😉
Andreia J — Google review
The BBQ fish and wide range of cocktail at jetty is probably attracting more attention of visitors than the light house.

Visitors can enjoy attentive staff and delicious food during their tours. The agency also provides quick and helpful communication via WhatsApp for easy booking.
Very nice agency. We did the Delta do Parnaíba and Revoada dos Guarás in private. The tour was really good, I really recommend. The fact of having take the “lancha boat” allowed us to see the nature really close. It was wonderful and one of the best day of the Rota das Emoções. We also took a private transfer from Barreirinhas to Parnaiba. Very good driver and he knew the route which is really important. I strongly recommend the agency.

(Translated by Google) We loved the tour, we spent the whole day (Canary Islands + Revoada dos Guarás) in the company of Mr. Manoel who, with his immense wisdom and generosity, answered our curiosities and explained everything about the Delta. We are very grateful for the experience. Mr. Manoel is a living heritage of this history and deserves much recognition. Please pass on our thanks to him. Solange was also very helpful both upon arrival at the pier and upon departure, calling a reliable car. The downside of our experience, which has nothing to do with you, but will be given as feedback, is the transfer to the port. There is a lack of planning and the prices charged on the way there are quite ok, but on the way back we already feel cheated. If we had known about this immense difficulty in getting around there, we would have rented a car and arrived at the pier later. We suggest that you inform tourists about this. Otherwise, thank you for the experience offered and for your work. Passe nossos agradecimentos a ele.

(Translated by Google) The tour to see the red ibis revoada was overall well-organized, and our guide was kind and helpful. However, the real disappointment was the viewing point we chose: the spot we were taken to (pictured) was less favorable than others, with a much smaller number of ibises. We insisted quite a bit on changing the spot, and it was significantly better (as seen in the video), but we only spent a short time there. The price was very high. Prezzo molto alto

(Translated by Google) A lovely beach, calm tide, and the rocks are great if you're going there to take beautiful photos. I left my backpack in the shade of these rocks. I found one of the best organized beaches in the region in terms of bathrooms, showers, and food stalls. I picked up several beautiful shells in different colors on this beach. If you're new to the city and don't know exactly how to get there, there are vans that cost only 3.80. There's a stop near the center, just make sure you find out exactly what you need. The last van leaves for Parnaíba at 5 or 6 pm, if I'm not mistaken. I went paddling with them in the mangrove, such a nice idea ! The place is really nice and clean, and offers all that's needed : a bar, great location (50m from the beach and the kite point), breakfast, wifi connection and is really quiet (the main bars and restaurants are only 5-10 min walk). (Translated by Google) It was an incredible experience. There's no need to be afraid, from the cable car to the cave. Claustrophobic people, rest assured, the place is spacious. The guide gave us good directions and told us the whole story. You can take many beautiful photos. There are many bats, but they stay hidden, one or two appear flying around. The trip was worth it. I haven't done the longer trail yet, I want to do it next time. I recommend it! Park offering activities & attractions such as wakeboarding, swimming, zip lines & a cachaça museum.
Very good to visit, if you like or not cachaça.
Gustavo — Google review
I visited the park during their "Black Friday Sale" in November which is $65 to enter and ride all the attractions. The price is good enough for a day of activities. The only attraction not included in the entrance price is the tall zip-line which is an extra $60 to ride. I skipped the tall zip-line and experienced every other ride the park offers which is good enough for a day in the sun. The park is cute and clean but you can tell that the attractions need a little bit of love and care. They have a sugar mill and liquor museum, a restaurant and many water attractions, like wakeboarding, stand-up paddle board, kiayking and more...the lake is not huge so you won't be doing these things for long time. If you do not pay the entrance ticket price than you have to pay for each attraction individually which is not worth it because you pay for 10 minutes for each activity. They don't have many things for adults here it's mainly kids and teens but you can do somethings if your in the mood. They have a tree course, archery, a pool for swimming and a horse carriage. The horses needs to retire because they are already elderly...thats the saddest part to me...even though you can see the young men take good care of them. The staff here is very friendly and you can tell they enjoy their jobs. The park itself is very clean. The only concern for new visitors is the road to get to the park....if you are not used to this type of dirt road or is from out of town you will think you are lost because it's all the way inside a ranch on a dirt road with no sign and it's confusing....just keep following the gps until you see a small town of white and blue houses. The other thing to keep in mind is the small zip-line attraction included in the entrance price has a weight limit of 80 kg - I don't know the conversion to pounds...and they do not tell you that at the entrance. The restaurant is self service and by weight. The food is good and they have various options of meat, rice and beans. All in all is a fun and safe place for the whole family. The park closes at 5pm and the attraction are open till 430pm so you will have enough time to do everything at least twice.

The place was staffed, but closed for reconstruction and no indication of that prior to have saved the trip going there. According to the Uber Driver they want to open in two month (November 2025) again, but from the progress of the reconstruction (none), that seems to be very ambitious. Beside that, the area is not safe to walk and there’s nothing much else to do. All in all, it was a great disappointment.

(Translated by Google) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable experience at Praia do Meireles! One of my favorite places in Fortaleza. The beach is beautiful, well-maintained, and perfect for walking, relaxing, or just enjoying the scenery. The boardwalk is bustling with life: handicrafts, live music, and delicious food everywhere you look. I tried incredible tapioca and refreshing coconut water while watching the sunset... priceless! 😍 I felt safe the whole time, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly. It's also super well-located, close to good hotels and other tourist spots. Definitely a place I would return to again and again. Highly recommended!

(Translated by Google) This place is magnificent for walking, sunbathing and swimming. From early on they prepare the umbrellas and chairs to be able to enjoy the beach day that begins very early since at 5 p.m. The sun is already beginning to set. The beach falls sharply and this means that you can swim in the sea that is clean and warm. I want to emphasize that the water is very pleasant and does not leave your skin sticky. What caught my attention is that there is only one lifeguard who walks along the shore from end to end. This may be why swimmers enter the sea with a type of float tied to their waist with a strap. The water temperature is magnificent and gives me the feeling of swimming in a heated pool. They constantly clean the sand of waste and provide you with a bag for collecting it. Along it there are stalls with a wide variety of drinks and also products to eat. The sunset is wonderful and leads you to take many photos.

Praia do Futuro is a popular seaside destination in Fortaleza, Brazil. It is known for its clean waters, making it ideal for swimming and attracting surfers with its strong waves. The beach stretches for four miles and offers beach chairs, umbrellas, food vendors, and eateries. I would not recommend this place AT ALL! it is the worst beach I've been to in my life and I've been around the world. It smells like sewage and feces which is unbearable. Also as many people mentioned there is someone trying to sell you something every 2 mins..

Beautiful beach with all the power the ocean has to offer on display, careful about hanging around after dark

Be careful, there are some areas where you have to pay for the table and chairs. Ask before you sit down. I think it’s a scam to pay for the table

Lots of water, I don't recommend drinking it though, cuz it might taste a little salty. The sand tastes alright though

Awesome beach for relaxing and enjoying the beach clubs there. The water isn't the best for a swim due to waves and clarity.

Nice beach, but you need to pay attention on possible, though not probable, thefts. Don't be fooled by the constant winds (especially between August and October) or even partly cloudy days: the sun is treacherous and really burns here. Take tons of sunscreen with you.

Very good beach. Maybe the best one in Fortaleza. However, you have to be careful for the criminals. There are a lot of pickpockets, stickups and armed robbery. It is safe if you come only for a bath and enjoy the sun without anything in your hands or inside your pockets. Bring only your hotel key and nothing else.

Great Family-Friendly Beach Spot with Aqua Park We had a lovely time visiting this beach — it’s a fantastic destination for families. The beach itself is very clean, safe, and spacious, offering plenty of room for both swimming and playing. Water is Cristal clear. Just a heads-up: if you want to sit at a table with chairs near the beach, there is a fee. There are two seating options available: VIP Area – Costs ₹900 just for the table; food and drinks are charged separately. Regular Area – Costs $90 for the table, but you can use as many chairs as needed, which is perfect if you’re visiting with a larger group. Charges for table use usually begin between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM, depending on the day. Beach Aqua Park — fun for all ages! The entry fee varies by season; in July, it was $300 per person. Toilets are clean and tegere is a cleaner who is there all day. Food is great as well but you need to expect to pay more than if you would eat outside. We actually found a great place to eat nearby it was cheaper than on the beach . All in all, a great place to relax and enjoy a family day out by the water.

Going to the Beach Park in Fortaleza is an experience that I would recommend across the board. They are one of the largest water parks in the world with attractions that span the range from low to extreme intensity. I’ve had the opportunity to go there a few times as a child and went again now as an adult and it was just as fun as I remembered. Good: 1 - Excellent service. Employees are polite and knowledgeable. 2 - Lot’s of food options. 3 - Queues are not too long. 4 - Several options of attractions. 5 - Great layout with distribution of food/beverage kiosks, high/low intensity rides and pools distributed throughout. 6 - Easy access from hotel complexes. To Improve: 1 - The power went out when I was there. It took around 10 minutes for the attraction I was at to normalize. This is lack of proper engineering or configuration of the backup systems. A diesel generator should kick-in and stabilize within 1 minute of a power outage. Moreover, given that power to the attractions is essential to the proper operation of the park, they should have a UPS battery backup to sustain the park for a duration long enough for generators to kick in. 2 - The meat/bacon burger at the Beach Burger kiosk was bad. Dry and hard. Almost inedible. The chicken option was much better. 3 - A few attractions were closed. I understand this can happen. However, this needs to be informed extremely well to park goers. Ideally in a language that humanizes the situation. “Sorry, our pump is sick today but the attraction will be up in x days”. 4 - The lazy river was weaker than I expected. There were less pumps on? 5 - The Hupa/Hopa was not doing the water discharge to speed up the attraction as it used to. 6 - No way to keep track of time when around park since there are no clocks. Add some? Even though I am giving the park a 5-star review, I hope that the feedback can be put to use. If Beach Park plans on becoming “the Disney of Brazil” nothing short of perfect is enough.

The toys are really nice, and the park is well maintained. Quite safe for kids. Though i believe the park is more enjoyable for kids older than 10. I give 2 stars because they made me lose 1h15m advertising a travel package scheme that i didn’t want to sign. I arrived at 1pm and the park closes at 5pm, so i lost 30EUR! (3 adults 2 children). Also they messed up my tickets. Because i didn’t have to pay for an autistic child companion and they made me pay. Both employees were rude and didn’t inform me correctly. So in the end i only enjoyed 2h45min.

The beach is absolutely amazing and the water park has a lot of attractions. Also it is not that busy so the waiting time is decent.
Andreea T — Google review
The beach park offers a vast expanse with a wide array of activities suitable for a diverse age range spanning from three-year-olds to those in their sixties. Our visit to the park took place on a weekend, and despite the large crowd, waiting times for most activities were surprisingly short. Safety was a top priority, evident in the presence of numerous vigilant lifeguards stationed throughout the park. They were extremely dedicated to their roles. Personally, my most exhilarating experience was the "Insano," which provided a thrilling adrenaline rush.

A really fun place to visit but very busy and there were long queues for everything, including food outlets. We only managed 4 rides in the entire time we were there. It is only open from 11am to 5 pm. 5 stars if we went on a quiet day!

Beach of Morro Branco

Beach
Nature & Parks
Coastal stop known for its labyrinthine eroded cliffs & multiple types of sand in different colors.
Game of Thrones filming location. Dune buggy tour on the beach and to the fresh water lagoon, with the optional sled ride into the lagoon was practically the highlight of our trip to Fortaleza. Highly recommend.

Clay Cliffs along the beach! The cliffs of reddish, sandy clay that rise above Morro Branco beach are beautiful. The parade of waves we see in the distance washes endlessly against the lower layers of the Beberibe Cliffs, while wind and rain batter the upper reaches. There is slow erosion or sudden landslips and this Brazilian natural monument is continually crumbling away. Only guided tours are allowed here.

The cliffs aren’t here despite the photos! It’s a beautiful beach surrounded by what look like party houses, but the drive is a rough one (the most fun part of heading this way 😅) over rocky roads and wet red sand. For the cliffs lol for Labirinto das Falésias de Morro Branco You’ll see the hill with the white tower from the beach, it’s back that way ☺️

Natural Monument of Beberibe Cliffs

Nature & Parks
Park
The Natural Monument of Beberibe Cliffs is a breathtaking stretch of protected cliffs and dunes that offer stunning views of the beach. This geological paradise is a must-visit for enthusiasts, although it's advisable to research the rock formation beforehand as local guides may lack knowledge in this area. Arriving early in the morning is recommended to avoid crowds from tours later in the day. The site boasts a wonderful story and visitors can enjoy the humorous and lively commentary of tour guide Wesley.
Absolutely stunning. If you are interested in geology, this is paradise but I suggest you read about the rocks formation before you visit because local guides often don't know much about the geological formation of the area. Also, try to get there early in the morning as it is full of tours from 11 onwards. Highly recommended

If you want a day of admiring natural beauty, take a tour to this place! The natural occuring cliffs offer beautiful pictures, hiking, and exploration. The tour, consisting of a Portuguese speaking guide, takes about 40 minutes and involves walking through a small market area in which they really try to sell you on projects created by the sand. The guide will pose you in many, many, places and take photos at different angles looking for a bigger tip at the end of the tour. If possible, take the dune buggy tour, as it allows you to see even more of the landscape!
