One of the best beach in the world. A wonderful marine reserve !!!!
Giuseppe P — Google review
Beautiful beach, but it's military preserved, so you can't stay and enjoy more then 30-40 minuts. You have to take a boat tour to get there, and you can imagine how many people are on the small beach and so many boats around. It's an experience..
Maracuja I — Google review
Beautiful beach, clear water and fine (very fine) sand. This beach belongs to a preserved area run by Brazilian Navy. There are rules to be followed and places you can't go. Nonetheless, is a great place to swim and rest in the sand.
Natalia F — Google review
This beautiful beach is only accessible by boat, and is near a Brazil navy site, so you're limited to only 40 minutes on the beach and you can't bring much with you on the beach. But all of that helps keep the beach very clean and less busy. The waters here are crystal clear. You can see the sand below you even when you're deep in the water.
Pedram E — Google review
Very nice beach. It's very clean and beautiful. Too bad you can only stay there for 40 minutes.

Two absolutely beautiful white sand beaches with crystal clear blue water. You can walk between the two beaches if you don't mind getting a little wet.
Garrett F — Google review
The place is beautiful, and the sea is cold, it is worth the visit. But, take care. It is extremely expensive. R$15 a taxi to go up R$15 to go back, they block the street, Uber is not allowed. If you are going to eat at the beach, ask before, everything is insanely expensive. You are not going to pay less than R$150 for something to eat. Go early, around midday it gets crowded.

Oven's Beach, also known as Praia do Forno, is a stunning destination in Brazil surrounded by lush hills and dense forests, offering a peaceful escape. Visitors can enjoy a short but scenic hike to reach the crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming. The beach is dotted with vendors offering chairs and umbrellas, some of which are complimentary with food or drink purchases. Additionally, nearby attractions such as Pontal do Atalaia and the Blue Grotto provide further opportunities for exploration.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. You have to take a short 10 minute hike to get to the beach, but even the hike is super beautiful. The view from the top of the hill is definitely a must see. At the beach, there are lots of vendors offering chairs and umbrellas. Some are for free, as long as you order food or drinks from the location, others are paid, but they offer you credit towards their food menu. The waters are crystal clear and great for swimming.
Pedram E — Google review
Wow!!! Beautiful soft white sand beach surrounded by hills of cactus and constantly served by locals for popsicles, fried fish etc.
Spring M — Google review
Beautiful beach with a bit hard walk The water was very good and warm (August) but the access is a bit dangerous. Be ready for local people approaching you to charge you for your parking and offer all kind of adventures. Local police and guards to protect your way to the beach.
Joao T — Google review
Paradise alert! Absolute love this beach. The only way to get there is by boat or trekking. I decided to walk. It took me less than 10 minutes to get to the beach. The views in the way are stunning. I couldn’t believe how beautiful this place was. I love it. Once I got to the beach I got one seat and had delicious food and drinks in front of the water. Amazing!!
Giulia W — Google review
Very nice beach, but can get very busy in high season. The boats bringing the people of nearby Cabo Frio to the beach can become a nuisance as they blare their music and it disturbs the peace and quiet. The water is crystal clear, and a sight to behold. There are some walking trails, but you are advised to go in a large group as it might not be save alone

Paquetá Island, nestled in the stunning Guanabara Bay near Rio de Janeiro, is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. This charming island is entirely car-free, allowing visitors to explore its scenic beauty on foot or by bike. With its colonial architecture, lush parks, and inviting beaches, Paquetá exudes a laid-back vibe perfect for relaxation.
Lovely little car-free island in the center of the Rio bay. A short ferry ride from Rio takes about an hour each way which is well worth the trip. It is filled with historical buildings including a church and hospital. Many of the houses are centuries old. We got a ride in a motorbike with an open cabin which was a fantastic mode of transport to view the island. On the other side can see another island with an grand house that used to be lived in by the former president I am told. Also an ancient tree (Rio's oldest I think the driver said) about 500 hundred years old!

This is a beautiful island to visit. A very peaceful area to go if you need some peace from Rio. You can walk or take a bike around the island.

I went to Paquetá in the middle of November. The weather was breezy and the air was fresh. It was completely quiet and calm, perfect for a weekend.
Homayoun M — Google review
Beautiful and safe little island 🤩 Easy to visit there by ferry. Ferry price is very reasonable and the trip by ferry is very comfortable. The Island itself is very small but worth visiting. Peaceful, easy to walk around. When it's sunny, sunset and sunrise are very beautiful, and can be very romantic.
Yuko K — Google review
The ferry is a fun trip and it's a nice day trip from Rio, but as the beaches aren't good for swimming and there aren't great restaurants it's pretty quiet. There's not a lot to do, we walked around the southern part of the island and it's pretty but not necessarily worth the effort if you're short on time. We took the 9am ferry and were ready to leave by noon but took the 2:30 return. There is a pretty good ice cream place right by the terminal.

I hiked from Petropolis to Teresopolis and it was one of the most technically difficult hikes I've done. There is this one part called the "little horse" where the only way to continue is to take your backpack off, grab the rock, swing your leg over the rock, and use your momentum to hoist your body on and over this large rock. Did I mention that this all takes place on cliff where if you fall you die? Yep! It was worth it and so incredibly beautiful but the trail is no joke! Doable if you do it in 2-3 days (carrying your camping gear) but a lot of altitude! I have hiked 36km/day in the snow, and found this hike to be a challenge physically and mentally.
Zoe L — Google review
Beautiful park, with a fun little road that goes a few km into the jungle. The view at the end of the Cartão Postal trail is worth the hike, but be warned that it's not easy. Don't attempt it if you're not in shape.

Additionally, visitors can enjoy an Instagram-worthy breakfast at Parque Gloria Maria with views of Guanabara Bay and Sugarloaf Mountain.
One of the places you must visit as a tourist in Rio. The journey to the peak is in two stages, both via cable cars. The queues move quickly and the journeys are smooth. Preferential access is available for wheelchair users. The primary reason for visiting is the views, although my visit was on a very misty day and opportunities were limited. There are plenty of toilets and places for refreshments. Also upmarket souvenir stalls. Still worth visiting on a misty day!
David S — Google review
Very good attraction. It gets really busy so be prepared to be pushing and shoving. Everybody is trying to get the best spot to record the videos. They do have nice foods and souvenir shop on top of the mountain. There is always entertainment going on like live music.
Mohammed M — Google review
Sugarloaf in Rio offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city, beaches, and mountains, absolutely worth the visit. The cable car ride is smooth and scenic. It can get very crowded, especially during peak hours, so try to go early or on a weekday. There are a few shops and places to grab a snack at the top, but prices are a bit high. Still, the overall experience is unforgettable and a must-do while in Rio!
Russo G — Google review
We came here early to avoid the long line. A glass cable car carried us to the top of iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain, actually expect to ride second cable car to real mountain top, which is a symbol of the city, in ideal conditions, I supposed to see the stunning panorama of the beaches, Corcovado Mountain, downtown Rio, and Guanabara Bay, etc. actually what you can see is by chance, the mist of cloud always come across to make you wonder, and it's hard to take a good picture of the stunning panoramic view of bay. There are squirrel-like primates called marmosets which can be spotted near the cable car stations and trails on the mountain , a species native to eastern Brazil. The tourists are discouraged to feed them.
Zemin H — Google review
A world class experience. Preferable to book the cable car tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. There are queues to board and alight from the cable cars. The 2 levels of the cable car stations provide varied views of the city of Rio from the top. The vistas are breathtaking. It can get a little cold at the top, so dress accordingly. The Christ Redeemer statue can be seen from the top. There a few expensive stores and good cafés at the top. Toilet and drinking water facilities are good. Best time to visit is around the sunset time to get the night views of the city.

Beautiful! It’s a stop you cannot miss in Rio. I loved it!

A definite must do while you are here. The views are great and there’s heaps of little shops and restaurants on top. The history of the build is also really interesting

A must place to visit if visiting Rio. Usual problems of crowds. Really busy mid morning with cruise ship tours etc. Go early or later also mid day was quiet

Copacabana Beach is an iconic 2.2-mile stretch of sandy coastline with a bustling promenade, food kiosks, and hotels. The beach extends for about 4km and offers a lively atmosphere with soccer players, locals, and tourists enjoying caipirinhas at the kiosks. Visitors can also witness kids showcasing their soccer skills and beach vendors selling various items. It's recommended to check the water quality before swimming due to occasional contamination after heavy rainfall.
By far the best beach in the refion. It's lively both at day and night. Free showers are also up for grabs and there are several spots where you can rent an umbrella and/or chairs for a fair price.
Filip M — Google review
The beach is beautiful. It was a bit wavy given I visited in the end of September and the water was a bit cold but it was really enjoyable and refreshing on hot days. There are many retailers that occasionally can try hard to sell whatever they have. It should also be known that this is not the safest place to be. One has to be very careful with his belongings and where to sit to avoid

Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro is everything you imagine it to be — and more! The moment you step onto the soft golden sand, you can feel the vibrant energy that makes this beach world-famous. The stunning curve of the coastline, framed by lush green hills and the rhythmic sound of the Atlantic waves, creates a picture-perfect scene that feels straight out of a postcard. What makes Copacabana so special is the unique blend of relaxation and excitement. In the mornings, it’s peaceful and ideal for a refreshing swim or a quiet walk along the promenade. As the day goes on, the beach comes alive with locals playing volleyball and football, vendors selling refreshing coconut water, and musicians adding a joyful samba rhythm to the air. The iconic black-and-white wave-patterned boardwalk is another highlight — perfect for strolling, cycling, or simply soaking in the view of the sea and city skyline. There are plenty of beachfront cafés and kiosks where you can enjoy delicious Brazilian snacks and fresh juices while watching the sunset paint the sky in shades of orange and pink. Copacabana Beach isn’t just a place — it’s an experience of Rio’s soul: warm, lively, and unforgettable. Whether you go to relax, meet people, or simply admire the breathtaking scenery, it’s a destination that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rio — Copacabana is pure magic. 🇧🇷✨

Sept.25: We went to the famous Copacabana Beach. We taught it would be crowded as it was weekend, however this wasn't the case. There were a lot of local vendors selling all kinds of stuff & many different food, icecreams & drinks. Some brought a complete umbrella with bikinis & thongs as well as really nice looking grilled big scampis (we didn't try as we didn't know how long they were exposed to sun, etc.) & many more. As we need to get the Copacabana beach vipe, we bought a 700ML freshly pressed lime caipirinha. Delicious, but with the sun & almost on an empty stomach; I got hit very fast. In the far we saw Christ the Redeemer (big, famous Jezus statue of 30 m height on a hill), we hope to visit one of these days.

Here's a good review of Copacabana beach: Copacabana is more than just a beach; it's the vibrant, beating heart of Rio de Janeiro. The moment you step onto its famous wave-patterned promenade, you feel an electric energy. The 4km stretch of sand is a democratic playground for everyone—you'll see intense games of footvolley, locals sunbathing, and tourists sipping água de coco from the countless kiosks. The view is spectacular, with the curving bay framed by Sugarloaf Mountain on one end. It’s a must-see for its sheer iconic status and incredible people-watching, capturing the city's lively spirit perfectly.

One of the famous beaches in the world was worth visiting. A fairly clean that has many things to offer - from food stalls to watching people play volleyball, soccer and other games, enjoying a nice drink, snacks and food. A good place to get your morning or afternoon walk/run as well. A safe place compared to some parts of Rio. From good to excellent hotels across the beach.
Ali K — Google review
Loved this beach, it is great for long walks, it’s clean enough, it’s possible to see a beautiful sunset there. Really liked the fact that it was possible to pay by card for sunbeds, umbrellas and drinks. It’s often very busy there and I loved that vibe.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Escadaria Selarón, also known as the Selaron Steps, is a famous public stairway in the city adorned with colorful and hand-painted tiles. This iconic landmark consists of 215 vibrant steps leading up from Rua Joaquim Silva. The Chilean-born artist Jorge Selarón dedicated decades to covering the steps with over 2,000 tiles collected from more than 60 countries around the world.
I took an Uber to this place and it was very easy to find. It's literally a staircase filled up with lots of different tiles from all over the world and colors. It's beautiful and very colorful. Attention to the hundreds of people trying to take pictures because on Fridays and weekends it's kinda crowded. The best time to visit it is in the afternoon during week days. It'll make a lot easier to take a nice picture. Wearing comfortable shoes is a good idea. If you go up till the top, you can even take the street over the hill and reach the ruins park.
Caio M — Google review
It could really be pack after 10am. So, if you’d like a nice photo, do go early! We had to go back a 2nd time to get nice photo taken without people everywhere!
Est R — Google review
The stairs themselves are stunning but the sheer number of people trying to pose on them makes it overwhelming and takes away from the art. Go early or in the rain for the best chance at a decent view. The street leading up to the steps is full of souvenir stalls that are actually pretty well priced compared to the same stuff at Christ the Redeemer or Ipanema.
Maris C — Google review
I came here twice, solely because it was so ridiculously busy the first time I thought it deserved a second go. The first was on a Saturday around 12. It was so insanely busy you could barely move let alone get any sort of pictures or enjoyment. The second was on a Monday around 10:30 it was still very busy but far less people. You could walk without getting in the way of to many people's photos and find a spot to take your own. Well the stairs are very beautiful, and it is completely free. I wouldn't say it is an absolute must see. If it's a stop on your tour, or nearby where you're staying I think go for it. But I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.
Izzy E — Google review
Such an amazing vibe with beautiful artwork on the steps. It can be a bit crowded, but it is so worth the trip. Grab a caprihana and stroll on up the steps. Great little shops at the bottom to check out too.
Kay — Google review
Easy to miss if you're going from up top. The stair view can be enjoyed from tje bottom only. They're located on a 5-10 minute walk from the cathedral and are definitely worth a visit.
Filip M — Google review
Sept.25: would have gotten 5 stars if it wasn't so overcrowded. We unfortunately visited on Sunday afternoon, lots of tourists which all took their time to get pictures... It was even hard only to enter the stairs just to go up.
Petra ( — Google review
This place is an iconic one. I went there late in the afternoon and was packed! Still, flocks of people would come and go leaving good time to take pictures. However, the best moment to be there is very very early in the morning like 6.30am, sun rises around 6-6.18am so it'll be well lit and everything, and most importantly, empty! You don't need to buy a ticket to enter this place since it's open for everyone. Just be careful of your belongings as always, pay attention to your surroundings and you'd be just fine! If you have enough time it's really amazing to really pay attention to the different ceramic tiles, also, be careful on where you step, after all it's ceramic so it can be slippery or tricky at times.

Arpoador Beach, nestled between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches in Rio's Zona Sul, is a beloved destination for both locals and visitors. During the day, it's a hotspot for surfers seeking consistent waves amidst towering cliffs. As the sun sets, Arpoador becomes a magnet for those eager to witness its breathtaking sunset views over the ocean, with Dois Irmaos peaks providing a stunning backdrop.
Praia do Arpoador is a unique beach with amazing views in Rio de Janeiro. The beach itself borders the famous Leblon beach, which is considered one of the safest places in the famous Rio de Janeiro. Right next to the beach itself is the famous Pedra do Arpoador lookout point from where we can also enjoy the amazing views, as well as the waves crashing on the rocks there. The beach itself is very narrow, but its shape and the views in the background are electrifyingly impressive. Definitely a place worth recommending.

Go up the rocks and enjoy another great view of Rio. You can see the beaches of Arpoador, Ipanema and Leblon on your right and maybe you can get a quick view of the Christ statue if you look behind the buildings. If you are there, just wait until the sunset, and enjoy the view.

Cannot recommend this beach enough, it has a cool, laid back vibe and the sand is white with a deep blue sea. As the sun is setting the music begins to blare and the beach area and promenade come alive. Absolutely worth a visit to soak in the charm of Rio.

Great beach stunning views of the mountains. Come with a group that preferably speaks Portuguese, people come up to you constantly trying to sell things and also ask for selfies. Beautiful people and great water, but with only two people it did feel very vulnerable.

Probably the most beautiful beach in Rio, much better than Copacabana due to the view. There are vendors and people who rent umbrellas and such, but they were never too pushy like some people say. Overall a very chill vibe. I recommend buying the street corner as a snack, it’s very good!

Amazing beach, but NEVER buy anything from the walking sellers. I paied 1000$ for one caipirinha😢 They hacked the paymemt terminal , even applepay doesn’ help. So be careful

Ipanema Beach is absolutely stunning! The golden sand, turquoise waters, and breathtaking view of the Dois Irmãos mountains make it one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The atmosphere is lively, with beach vendors, music, and people playing footvolley. The sunset here is unforgettable! It's a great spot to relax, but also perfect if you're looking for a more social beach experience. Just be mindful of your belongings, as petty theft can be an issue. Overall, a must-visit when in Rio! 🌊☀️🏖️

Christ the Redeemer is a colossal 30-meter-tall statue of Jesus Christ, situated on top of Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro. This iconic monument, recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city. The statue, with its outstretched arms, is made of concrete and adorned with soapstone mosaic tiles. It serves as a religious and cultural symbol for the warm and welcoming Brazilian people.
Absolutely stunning. From the tram to the top, walking up the rest of the way and enjoying the incredible views at the top. Yes it is very busy and it probably will be all day every day, so just be prepared! It is still well worth the trip. Everything about it was so much fun. Be prepared to lie down on the floor to get good photos!! You also get to see monkeys, helicopters, paragliders and much more. Also the ice cream is delicious at the top. Obviously everything is well over priced whilst up there!

Visiting Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro is one of those magical experiences that touch your heart. The moment you see the statue standing high above the city, surrounded by clouds and sunlight, it feels truly special. The view from the top of Corcovado is breathtaking the ocean, the mountains, and the city below all blend into one stunning panorama. There’s something peaceful and spiritual about being up there. Even with many visitors around, you can still feel a deep sense of calm and awe. The train ride through the lush forest adds to the experience, making the journey as beautiful as the destination. It’s a place that makes you feel grateful, inspired, and connected to nature, to faith, and to life itself. An absolute must-visit when in Rio.

Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor) is an iconic statue of Jesus Christ located atop Mount Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This colossal Art Deco statue stands 98 feet tall, with arms outstretched spanning 92 feet, making it one of the largest statues of Jesus in the world and a symbol both of Rio and Brazil. The idea for the statue was first proposed in the 1850s but was only realized starting in 1922, with construction completed in 1931. Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa designed the statue, with sculptor Paul Landowski creating the statue’s detailed features. The statue is constructed of reinforced concrete and clad in durable soapstone, chosen for its ability to withstand the elements.Christ the Redeemer was built by the Catholic Church and local supporters to symbolize peace and welcome, standing prominently on Corcovado Mountain so it is visible from across Rio. Over the years, it has become a global cultural landmark and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The site includes panoramic views of Rio’s cityscape, beaches, and surrounding mountains. It also has facilities such as an elevator and motorized stairs for accessibility.Visitors appreciate not only the religious and cultural significance of the statue but also the stunning views and the impressive engineering feat behind its design and preservation. It represents a unifying symbol with spiritual, historical, and architectural importance in Brazil.Christ the Redeemer continues to undergo maintenance and preservation efforts to protect its structure, ensuring it can be enjoyed by generations to come

A fullfilment of one of my traveling dreams was to visit the statue and admire the views over the city. Might be crowded from time to time but with some spare time you'll get to experience everything easily with one visit. Pre-purchased tickets recommended and can be changed for instance due to weather conditions.
Juho Ä — Google review
It’s unthinkable to visit Rio without getting up close to this iconic statue. Access via the inclined tramway, a few steps and an escalator is easy. It was very misty when I visited and so not too crowded. Thankfully the mist lifted enough to see this beautiful statue, although views of the city remained really limited. The little chapel built into the rear of the statue was a pleasant surprise. I can’t begin to imagine how crowded it must get on a clear day, but you must visit.
David S — Google review
There’s literally nothing to say about this attraction other than wow. The feeling you get seeing something in person after seeing it so many times on TV is amazing. I’m surprised how organised they are. They have lift an escalators on top of the mountain. They are plenty of shops and food court. They do daily shows like Samba dancing.

Imperial Museum is located in the grand 1845 palace of Brazil's first emperor and offers a glimpse into the country's history. The museum was once the summer residence of the Brazilian royal family during the 19th century and was founded by Emperor Dom Pedro II. Visitors can explore this historic site through guided tours, learning about its significance as well as the city of Petropolis, which was established by Dom Pedro II in 1843.
Looooooved it! I felt like the royal family still lived there! Pro: - flows really well - history and layout was perfect - clean and well maintained - free (when I went) - great gardens Con: - average gift shop - had to use slippers on your shoes and floor was super waxed (be careful you can clip) - can't take pictures inside

If you were a bad student as me, this is the opportunity to know the history of Brazil. We have just 63 years of kingdom here in Brazil but until our "freedom" or beginning of the democrat republicans there are very interesting issues inside the museum.

Beautiful palace. Mostly everything written in portuguese You can pay CASH ONLY! The slippers that they give you to put on your shoes are very dangerous and disgusting dirty. Could search for another option for visitors! No photos allowed.
Cristiana F — Google review
Great palace. Free entrance when we went. We had to wear covers for our shoes. Great collection.
Patrick F — Google review
You're required to wear slippers over your shoes to protect the floors, but unfortunately they are one size fits some and you'll likely be pseudo-skating around the museum. Also, you're required to check all belongings before entering, including cameras. Photography is not allowed inside, with or without flash. Other than these minor things, worth the trip! Definitely recommend, just be aware what you're in for.
Garrett P — Google review
Quite interesting to see how decadent the royal family was while their countries (Brazil and Portugal) suffered. The museum is free sometimes and cheap the rest of the time. It would get 5 stars if they allowed photos inside and dispensed with the awkward slippers they furnish you to preserve the hardwood floors.

What a fabulous structure, amazing how the first two meters of the structure is cut stone while the remainder is built with concrete to represent the people. I had an amazing experience at Restaurante Cervejaria Bohemia in Petrópolis. The setting is beautiful — inside the historic Bohemia brewery — and the ambiance is lively yet cozy. The food was outstanding! I had the Angus flat iron steak, perfectly cooked and beautifully plated. Everything is clearly designed to pair with their incredible craft beers, which are brewed right there on-site. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the view from the upstairs restaurant added a special touch. After lunch, I visited the brewery museum — which I highly recommend if you’re into beer culture or Brazilian history.

Nice place, especially beer tasting, gift shop is also interesting😀

Brazil's oldest brewery was founded by German immigrants in the mountainous summer getaway of Petrópolis in 1853. It was once the preferred beer of the Portuguese royal family. While mass production shifted to São Paulo in 1998, Bohemia reopened its original location in 2012 as a specialty brewery museum, bar, and restaurant. The interactive guided tour explores the history of beer and specifically Bohemia, offering tastings and a visit to the barrel-aging beer cave.

Esther was an excellent guide! She gave thoughtful, funny and kind insights of the beer process and its history. She also always made sure we had no questions left. Amazing work!

Absolutely 5 stars. The venue is very well mainland the 44 real tour was amazing. They did a great job explaining beer making process and so many fun facts.

This was one of the best parts of my visit in Petropolis. The first half of the tour is a museum of the history and science of beer. The displays are in Portuguese, but almost all of them have English translations. The displays were beautiful and informative. The last half is a guided tour. Our guide spoke in Portuguese, which was difficult for me. However, most of the displays were straightforward enough and interesting enough that I wasn't bored and didn't feel left out. After the guided tour, we were given a flight of 3 different beers to taste (and children were given juice so they didn't feel left out). The gift shop had many great gifts for me to bring back home. The restaurant had great vegetarian options (and of course, beer), and the service was excellent. I highly recommend you do this tour!

Overall this place is a decent place to stay if you are not looking to spend a ton. There was 2 of us and our big dog. The Buffet was pretty good, lots of options. The Juice was terrible though, it seems it was watered down to a 90/10 water to juice ratio. Breakfast is till 10am weekdays and 10:30 on the weekends. The Room was mostly okay. Up to date AC unit and a ceiling fan, the shower was nice too, hot water on demand no electric shower. Some of the walls were peeling and the bathroom occasionally smelt of sewer water coming up through the drain. Everything was clean though in the room, no bugs or grime anywhere. There was a dog that barked in the room next to ours for almost 2 hours in the middle of the night. And same thing happened mid day. The staff didn’t do anything to solve it and it was extremely obvious it was happening because it’s a small hotel. The bed and pillows I would say were bellow average to average for comfort. There’s plenty of options for drinks and beer at the front of the hotel to purchase at any time. They also had things in the fridge that’s in the room along with some snacks that you have to pay for as well if you want them. If you have a dog it’s an additional $50 BRL that they don’t disclose when you book the room online.

The place was cool, the staff were all very nice and it was a safe place to stay. The breakfast every morning was super delicious and had just about everything you can get for a breakfast. Would definitely return.

Nice and simple stay. It was our second time there and everything ran as smooth as the first visit. The location or perfect for those who want to stay at walking distance from the sightseeing places of Petrópolis. The closest place is Crystal Palace, less than a minute walking. Or you can walk about 7 minutes to the Imperial Museum. The continental breakfast is simple but have everything you may need for a morning of walking. The rooms are simple but cozy. If you're traveling in the summer I would recommend one with AC. The restroom has a nice and strong shower. Nood to relax.

Factory Outlets
Outlet Premium Rio de Janeiro is a shopper's paradise located in Duque de Caxias. It features a wide range of national and international brand stores offering discounts on clothing, footwear, accessories, and more. The complex also provides various dining options and entertainment, making it a complete destination for a day of shopping and fun. While some visitors find the prices not significantly lower than regular retail, others appreciate the progressive discount system in many stores. The outlet is considered safe with ample security personnel.
It is an outlet style mall, far from downtown and relative good prices. If you are planning to come, you should have a small list of things to buy (at least) because you need to compensate the money for the gas.
Matheus F — Google review
Several stores , not really outlet price in my opinion - I saw most of stores with progressive discount system which forces you to buy too many items in the same store so you can see a price benefit. Looks safe with many guards.

Lucas M — Google review
Nice clothes, good quality but too expensive for an outlet. We left together with 6 other customers because the airconditioner made it unsupportable to shop quietly. Far too cold.
Mariska S — Google review
Good place for shopping. International clothing and sports brands at very reasonable prices. Huge parking space. But, no signs of mentioning parking fees and spots to pay.
Namaste F — Google review
The place is big, clean and it has good options but unfortunately some stores displays products that are not on sale. This is absurd and outrageous! It's an outlet for God sake!

Excellent shopping structure but in the day that I went me and many people faced issues with park payment and to go out from there. It was 12/16/2017.

Miss that place fr, I’m on USA rn I recommend it a lot
Renata A — Google review
The mall is really nice for the most part, easy to get to where you need to, tons of clothing/electronic stores. The elevators/escalators usually always work but sometimes don’t. The bathrooms at this mall are almost always extremely dirty, clogged toilets, non operable sinks, toilet paper is always out in 80% of the stalls and smells pretty bad 1/2 the time. There are some great places to eat here at the mall and more than enough parking. When you enter from the front of the mall there are always people that harass you to buy things (Usually mentos) and don’t take “NO”for an answer!! You just have to keep walking. I find that super obnoxious!!!!
Brandon H — Google review
The mall is big but the stores are surprisingly small,... But the place is clean (new)

This island is widely regarded as an ideal destination for day trips, attracting many visitors who yearn to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life in search of a peaceful sanctuary. It's possible to bring your own supplies and enjoy some quiet time amid paradise-like surroundings.
It's one of the best ones. You can go by morning or during afternoon and it'll look different but amazing at the same time, like caribbean. I prefer in the morning as there's less people.
