Museu Histórico Municipal 'Pe. Francisco de Paula Lima'

Museum
Specialty Museums
The Museu Histórico Municipal 'Pe. Francisco de Paula Lima' in Itatiba offers a great opportunity for tourists to delve into the town's history and culture. Despite its small size, the museum houses valuable historical materials, including rare photos of the extinct Estrada de Ferro Itatibense railway, which hold significant historical value for the region.
(Translated by Google) First of all, the reception was great. The staff were very attentive and polite. The museum, although not large, has very interesting and historically valuable material. I would like to highlight the photos of the extinct Itatibense Railway, which is difficult to find in photos and there is no trace of it left in the region. Nothing has been preserved. Seeing the images of it in the museum was very worthwhile, as my grandmother used to travel on this railway a few times. The museum also has some old photos of the city, the downtown area, neighborhoods, churches... and because it is located in the center, which is on top of a hill, the museum window offers a panoramic view of part of the city. It is worth taking photos. (Original) Primeiramente, ótima a recepção. Compensa fazer fotos.

(Translated by Google) Very poor content about the city's history, it is displaying (hopefully for a short time) summaries of former mayors' terms in office. Not to mention the excessive number of plaques of former mayors and even the current governor (who has no idea about the state's history) in the atrium, all claiming to have kept the building in order with renovations (in other words, as if it were not the obligation of a municipality to look after its city's historical museum). Should we improve the content of what is on display?

(Translated by Google) Great place to enjoy nature and history with family and friends. From what I understand, there are also options for hiking and biking. They have an Instagram page to keep up with the information. We just think they could improve the cleaning of the firebreaks/roads, the streets inside where the houses are, etc., due to the price that is being charged to enter. Adults and children over 12 years old pay! The price is currently R$15.00 per person (probably subject to change at any time), and they do not accept Pix or cards, only cash. Even so, it is well worth a visit. You need to schedule a guided tour. The people who work there really enjoy what they do. Check the page published by ICMBio for important information in advance. Afterwards, it is worth stopping by the Cacau Show superstore on the road. The Museu da Água de Piracicaba Francisco Salgot Castillon is a charming destination that highlights the vital role of water in the city’s history and management. This small yet engaging museum features interactive exhibits that delve into water conservation, showcasing models and aquariums filled with local fish. Visitors can explore the fascinating remnants of pre-electricity waterworks, including operational turbines over a century old.
Cute small museum about the water management around Piracicaba. The entrance is free and you can nicely walk around in the museum area. The museum has some models to explain the water management, aquariums with some fish, the old water cleaning facilities. In my opinion there could be more information in different parts of the museum. Parking closeby the museum is very easy on the street.

(Translated by Google) The Castelo Water Park exceeded my expectations!!!! Buying tickets online is much cheaper. Birthday parties can buy tickets at the ticket office, even if they pay half the price. Regarding the Water Park, I found it to be very organized and clean. The prices are very affordable, such as food around R$30.00 to R$40.00, kebabs R$12.00, and ice cream up to R$23.00, which is the most expensive. A great thing is that parking is free and you can take some food and leave it in a cooler in your car. Then, when you leave the park, you can eat in the parking lot. There are lots of coconut trees. One of the park's strong points is that it has a lot of covered food facilities and plenty of space. There are lots of bathrooms near the pools, which prevents people from eating in the pool. In addition to the rides, the Park has a large, covered and heated pool. The locker space is also very good. I highly recommend it...we went on a Tuesday and it was very quiet!!! (Original) O Castelo Parque Aquático superou minhas espectativas!!!!

The hotel is dirty, there are no staff, there are several dogs barking in the hallways all night long, and the room had dead animals, it was dirty. The double bed has a mattress that is joined together and sinks. The breakfast is messy and there are always things missing. Nobody answers the reception desk, they don't answer any of our requests. We asked for a cloth to clean the mud in the hallway, but they didn't even give us anything. After 24 hours we left because it was impossible to stay 4 days in a dirty and abandoned place with a small child. They don't give us a refund. Terrible! Dirty! (Original) Péssimo! (Translated by Google) When I arrived at the hotel on 12/27, the reception was closed. I went looking for someone to check me in. I booked a package with half board (as they call it) breakfast and dinner. That same day I arrived I was supposed to have dinner. At around 5:30 pm, I asked at reception what time it would be. They only informed me at that moment that the cook was on sick leave and there was no one else to make dinner. There are no restaurants around the hotel and I paid for dinner precisely because I wanted to have peace of mind. Well, I had to go out with my family (2 children) to look for a place to have dinner. The hotel never tried to resolve the issue, offering dinner options. It's worth having dinner somewhere. Where's the manager!!! She's on sick leave too. Okay, human beings get sick, but having a good team to replace her is essential!!! The way they wanted to resolve the lack of dinner was to give me a credit card for the amount I had already paid in cash, claiming that it couldn't be any other way because the hotel bill was one for all the hotels. That's why the hotel chain's finance department exists, right? The next day my checkout was at 5pm. I was so sad and disappointed with the lack of care and flexibility with us that I left at 11:30am. I spoke again with the receptionist that day who tried to help me as much as he could. And the manager? She said she was at the hotel via WhatsApp, I'm still waiting (January 6th) for her to get in touch with me! I still haven't been reimbursed. (Original) Ao chegar no hotel dia 27/12 a recepção estava fechada. Cadê a gerente!!! E a gerente ?

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Thermas Water Park is a spacious and enjoyable destination, boasting an array of attractions such as wave pools, slides, waterfalls, and a designated area for children. Snack kiosks cater to visitors' refreshment needs. However, during peak times like October 2022 holidays, the park tends to get overcrowded with long waiting times for popular rides, food services, and restrooms. The limited seating arrangement requires early arrival to secure tables and chairs.
Worth the 180R price tag! We had an amazing fun packed day and only wish we could have stayed longer! They should stay open until 7pm for sure. The wave pool is so much fun and just when you think you have been everywhere there is LOADS more! The only downfall is not being able to bring your own food and drink into the park, I think they would attract more customers if that was the case because once you have paid 180R entrance (I think it's a little bit cheaper if you book online) then you pay 25R for the locker, 25R for the parking and THEN have to pay for food and drink all day it does start to add up, especially if you have a family! However, this will not deter me from going again and again! It looks like they are adding more attractions as well so it can only get better. I wasn't sure what the point of the big castle was but it was nice to look at. I would prefer the lazy river to be deeper and also have a pool that's deep for proper swimming. BEWARE the umbrellas at the table are made from plastic and not material so you can get a nasty bump on the head if you walk into one 😂 GREAT PLACE. Next time we will book to stay there!

Is everything going to be fine and the personal make good job nice place for family ist clean and perfect 🤩 really we liked but we pay really more many for just one day, I have just question? Why the people pay for parking that is not good this is not right i think you need be free for people come visit .
2gether B — Google review
The place is nice but has some design flaws. I really like the wave pool, it has around the right depth and having waves for a full 30 minutes every hour is something I did not see in a park before, so that is great. The downside is that the wave pool is not that clean, multiple floating tooth picks and other trash (a pity). The other pools are more clean, but not all pools are transparent. The warmed pool is nice but I find that the pool is very shallow, less than a meter. It is nice that they play music around here and the pool is big enough that you can choose how hard you want the music (by changing the distance). The volcano has just too shallow pools, the pool of just 20 cm deep is a bit useless. The small stream also is too shallow, with 40 cm you cannot really float in the small stream but rather need to almost walk it. The water slides are very nice, but I think they should do something about small kids that move slow on the water slides because they are too light. This makes the lines long and also is not fun for the kids because they basically gets stuck in the slides, this is a problem for the blue whale water slide, the other blue slide, red slide, white/green and white/yellow slide. Maybe more water is a solution?overall, I really like the selection of different water slides and with around 10 slides in the park this is great. I also like they have a large part for young kids to play with water. The food I considered quite affordable in the park, pastels for 12 real is great. The pay per Kilo restaurant is a bit on the expensive side. At the entrance they check you bags for dangerous items. The parking is well arranged in the park. The park claims to be an international park, but one of the things not possible is buying tickets on the creditcard of a non-brazilian person. One thing I miss is a pool that is around 2 meters deep such that you can jump well. I considered the toilets nicely clean. Lockers are decent size.
F. N — Google review
This is a small good place to enjoy. Slides are rather boring, no speed going down and long waiting times to enter. Food is reasonable quality and price. Buying the credits on the card for food is annoying and time consuming. There is 1 thing I really hate about the place (many Brazilian places do this!) when buying the tickets or upgrading your food card, they ask for your social security number. When you buy tickets online, after this process within 5 minutes to start calling and harassing you to sell you stuff. It should be forbidden by law. Asking your social security number is an insult and an infringement on your privacy.

We went there on a holiday, October, 2022. We arrived at around 9:20, but there were already a lot of people. Around noon, it’s too crowded. We needed to wait for everything, for example, water slider, cafeteria and bathroom. And also there was no enough space in the pool. In addition, their table and chair were limited, we secured it at 9:30. So it’s better to go there early time to save the table and chair. It’s great place for family but we recommend to consider the good date.

Great fun day out at water park. Thermas water park is a lovely spot. White slides need to add bit more water avoid long queues cause that slide take you slow.

Theme Parks
Cassorova EcoParque is a remarkable tourist destination that showcases stunning waterfalls and natural pools. This private resort offers a plethora of exciting activities such as rapelling, ziplines, and rope courses. Nestled in a pristine tropical setting, this beautiful and well-maintained eco park boasts exceptional amenities. With its breathtaking waterfall and numerous scenic trails to explore, Cassorova EcoParque is an outstanding attraction that promises an unforgettable experience for visitors seeking nature's beauty and thrilling adventures.
Casorova is the ultimate destination for romance and waterfalls. Want to feel like a soggy Tarzan and Jane (or Tarzan and Tarzan)? This is your place! You can admire waterfalls from every possible angle—above, below, sideways, and even smack in the middle of one if you're daring enough. Just don't forget your swimsuit—unless you want to make 'living close to nature' a little too literal. The eco-friendly vibes here are so natural that even the ants seem to have a VIP pass to your romantic getaway. But hey, nothing says 'true love' like sharing your candlelit dinner with the local wildlife. Casorova isn't just a resort; it's an experience of nature and hydrodynamics. So pack light, get ready to rinse and repeat, and prepare for an unforgettable adventure. Bonus points if you leave looking like a wrinkled raisin from all the water exposure!

The staff is incredible, everyone is super attentive and helpful. The hotel food is amazing, there is a lot of variety and everything is prepared with great care. The paradise, an area with a pool exclusively for guests, is charming and made our stay at the hotel much more enjoyable. The trails to the waterfalls and the lake with rowing sports add a nice touch to the peaceful atmosphere of the common areas. The bungalow's exclusive hot tub and hot water pools make the hotel a perfect place to relax at any time of the day.

Disappointed in this experience. Beautiful location but the amenities need improvement. One pool was not working, other pool was ridiculously hot with no shaded area. This should have been disclosed up front. Additional activities required purchase through a 3rd party which was only disclosed when we arrived. Overall, there's a lot to improve.

Very beautiful and well cared for. Trails are well maintained and easily accessible. Bathrooms could be in slightly better shape with better doors and hangers. It's necessary to have other credit card options for when it rains, so clients don't have to deal with being unable to pay for entrance or food due to lack of internet service. Would definitely recommend!

If you are visiting Brotas, this place is a must and should be in your top 5 places to go. Great for families, kids, couples or if you visiting alone with your furry friend. Of course, off season dates are ideal as this place gets really busy during the summer and holidays. Stunning nature views, great pool with a bar, 2 waterfalls, a great hike (not suitable for the elderly) and a fantastic natural pool. Ok food and friendly staff.

Areia Que Canta

Rural farmstay with a lake, offering water sports, fishing & dining, plus indoor & outdoor pools.
Well maintained resort near Brotas with lots of activities for adults and children. The room was fine and the grounds and staff were amazing. Several swimming pools, a short zip lining adveture, trails to hike, a gym and spa, kayaking, volleyball and basketball courts and tubing down a river. The food was amazing and offered 4 times a day. Great family atmosphere.
Ian S — Google review
The place was different from anything I ever experienced but it had its pros and it’s cons. First with the cons, the rooms were nasty, that’s the only true way I could describe it. There we millions of ants in the bathroom and we even found a HUGE spider (which we later found out was poisonous) in our room. Also the doors nor the windows would close properly and would bang because of the wind. That made it very difficult to get sleep. The rooms were really the only cons so now with the pros. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone in my family (and we’re a big group) loved it. The service also was outstanding and we never ran out of things to do. From swimming, zip lining, going on trails, the gym, the spa, eating all the time, kayaking, paddle boating, going on water slides there was always something you wanted to do. The kids club was great for the kids and they were very welcoming and friendly. Overall this experience I would give a 3 or 4 star (only because of the rooms)!

Very well managed, facilities in pristine condition... Sports and aquatic activities are the staple, besides the famous small pond that the Guarani aquifer pumps up at a rate of 70k liters per hour. Guided visits and monitored activities all day. Form São Paulo, a little on the far side, so three days work best. I'll try to come back more times.
Roberto S — Google review
The best resort me and my family haver ever been, by far. The infrastructure, the nature, the hospitality, and all the lovely employees make the visit outstanding. The meals are served in buffet style and there is a huge variety, for all tastes. There are plenty of activities available all day long although I thoroughly recomend a visit to the " singing sand" fountain, which is in my opnion an unique experience (unmissable). I highly recomend for families, singles, and all kind of people regardless if you want a break on the routine or if you desire some adventure.
Rodrigo P — Google review
Price does not match the product and service. Although nature is beautiful and makes the place awesome, it's infrastructure, specially the rooms, does not match the price asked for the stay. The singing sand spring is off course, a nature gift to the place.

Great surroundings, lots of interesting objects, but nobody to walk you through the museum to explain the history, main facts, etc. The building and rooms have poor maintenance, they are slowly falling appart... And, believe it or not, there is no restroom there! The admittance should be paid to allow offering a better experience. It does not need to be expensive: R$ 5 per guest should suffice. This would allowing some investment there, besides paying people to work as cicerones. Also, a mini shop where guests could taste different flavors of coffee, buy souvenirs, etc would not do any harm. Public things are always like that, poorly managed, offerering just a glimpse of what the experience could be. Private initiative should handle it.

Igapó Lake, located in the heart of Londrina, covers 9 km and offers a serene escape with jogging paths, picnic areas, and beautiful sunset views. Visitors can enjoy leisure activities such as running, cycling, and boating. For those seeking a deeper connection with nature, the nearby Mata dos Godoy State Park provides lush forests for hiking and wildlife spotting. The lake is also known for its clean water and peaceful atmosphere.
Amazing beautiful and peaceful place to take a walk. If don't want a crowded place, try the portion between the yacht club and the dam.

I love this place. I never get skunked here. I've caught 3 peacock bass (tucunaré), 3 piranhas, and one tilapia. The water is clean, the scenery is pleasant, and it's always fairly peaceful on the lake. My only gripe is that they're isn't a single public restroom.

Londrina Metropolitan Cathedral, a stunning landmark built in the 1950s, is a must-see attraction in the city. The cathedral's impressive architecture and beautiful stained glass windows make it an iconic site. Visitors can admire the intricate wood carvings inside and experience the peaceful atmosphere during Sunday morning mass. With ample seating and affordable parking, this cathedral offers a serene and magical experience for all true devotees of Jesus.
Amazing, peaceful, magical and mesmerising. I am very sure Jesus can clearly see and listen to his all true devotees there.

The architecture might seem strange at first sight, but the inside is beautiful, mostly carved in wood. I like to go on Sunday morning for the 10:30 am mass, because they play organ (a simple one, but still, amazing) and there is the elderly coral. I feel good inside the cathedral.

Cássia L — Google review
(Translated by Google) A divine place, of prayers, of gratitude to Our Lady. Congratulations on the organization in October 2021. Advance booking, colored wristbands for each time, a line to enter without rushing, and yes, there were benches. For the first time, I sat down and watched the mass without the adrenaline of whether or not I would be able to stand among the people, in the aisles. May you continue to organize in the coming years, it was very good. Yes, we have to think about the pilgrims, about people without internet access. During my 11 am time slot, Father Romão came, with an excellent homily, explaining the biblical readings, talking about the importance of women in the church, emphasizing Esther and Mary, for their boldness, for their confrontation making history. He told the story of this church, which was the second in Londrina. The reflection of Christian churches, and talking about trips to cities with only one Christian church, without priests, coordinated by nuns. Thank you, Father, for making me different with these words, leading me to a great reflection on life. On the appreciation and boldness of women, strengthening us even more for our daily lives. On this day, listening to these words, I will give my testimony of the miracle of life, with my first son, he survived, and it is a miracle, through prayer with the rosary in hand. Our Lady of Aparecida, pray for us, for Brazil and the whole world. #carmelu #santuarionossasenhoraaparecida #nossasenhora #nossasenhoraaparecida #12deoutubrode2021
