Long walk, but worth it! Beautiful place and a must-do in Rio Grande do Sul. Remember to bring a jacket as it is an open place at the top and quite windy!

Incredible views and beautiful nature! There are great hikes and the canyons are worthwhile seeing from the top and the bottom. Rain can close the hikes through the streams. There is dirt road access to the park entrance at the top that is shorter, or a longer non dirt road route. After the entrance there is a little bit of dirt road to the parking. Once parked, the hikes are amazing!! Loved my time here!
André S — Google review
If you have the opportunity to see the canion, GO! I took a ton of pictures, and I don't think any of those shots does justice. I had my 20lb son strapped to my chest for this hike. I suggest being in good health if you plan to reach to the top. I may not try hiking that for another 10 years when my son can walk himself up that thing. At the top is a view like no other.
Michael ( — Google review
Wonderful! A must visit place when you go to Gramado or Canela. You can go through different trails but the Mirante Trail is the most impressive. Beautiful canions and nature.
Francisco M — Google review
Super beautiful place, there is a trail to arrive there, but worth every step, once you get there you feel like in the top of the world
Paulo H — Google review
The nature around is just stunning. Best rating for this. We came during the week so it wasn't crowded. But there are other things not working, we cannot give 5 stars. It's serious... Some things you need to know before you come to Cânion Fortaleza, as well as Itaimbrezinho: - make sure you can handle rough roads as a driver. Some parts are still in progress, some are just crazy roads. - there is no official information in English on the website right now. Translate with translator and hope it did its job well. - if you start from Porto Alegre: I recommend to come here by car. There is literally no good option to come here with public transport. Maybe rent one, which can handle rough terrain... - as a foreigner it's not possible to get a license for a drone rn. You cannot register on ANAC without CPF. Just Brazilian citizens have one. A problem that needs to be solved (you can't book a bus online without a cpf as well... How to travel then?) Maybe national offices could at least communicate the local registrations for drones international? Less annoying work for everyone. - you want to do the left way at the waterfall? There is no sign where the trail continues, you have to walk at the guideline which normally marks borders, we asked later, after giving up finding a objectively good path. You're supposed crossing the river close to the edge of the waterfall (you maybe get wet, but bathing is forbidden, lol). That's not a trail, that's adventure without good information, man. You cannot make good decisions for yourself with this. Big saftey issue. Please, take it serious! That's not okay! The company which is responsible for the park at the moment needs to work on several things. - providing more information in general PROACTIVE - if maintaining some trails due to weather conditions etc. isn't possible, you MUST provide these information to all visitors when arriving. With well placed signs etc. Depends on you, but it MUST work. The barely placed wooden planks you put on muddy and wet spots on the trail once are not enough to pass the mud. Visitors are paying a lot of money for the entrance to park infrastructure. So do your work. We were there during the week, I've seen at least 10 people standing idle for a long time, just staring at their mobile phones, not making any attempt to help. We unfortunately don't speak Portuguese, but as a national park maintaining company, working with tourists, you have to give information in English as well. It's international standard, welcome to the 21th century. Without our Portuguese speaking friend translating for us, this trip would have ended in a disaster. PLEASE train your employees. - don't blame the people if they are criticizing valid points. Be professional like estimated and give valid arguments, not your own opinion. Opinion is for private life, not for work. Thanks for reading this review and noticing.
Towi — Google review
Be aware of the entrance charge, which can be pricey if you are planning to pay for the whole family. I won't post the fee here because prices go up pretty often in Brazil. The views are stunning as long as it's not cloudy or rainy. Check the weather forecast before booking any tours!
Marcos G — Google review

It is Brazil's largest and most acclaimed winery, known for its commercial accessibility. The cooperative began with 16 families and has since become a prominent name in the industry. Visitors can enjoy an excellent tour experience, led by knowledgeable guides like Julia who provide insightful commentary during tastings.
Free entrance ! Very kind worker! I got a private tour as I did not speak Portuguese. The tour guide was in English and at the end there is a wine tasting of 7 bottles aprox. The interior decoration is beautiful with Greek Gods, saints for protection, and shows all the flags of exporting countries in descending order! Really worth it and at the end you can buy bottles at a discount.
Antoine A — Google review
An excellent experience. Special thanks to "Julia" who was our guide and doing her first English speaking tour - she was fantastic. We arrived for a tour in the early afternoon and were lucky to be in a small group of 2. Julia gave us an excellent guided tour and then we went to a private tasting room. The wines, and Julia's commentary, were first class. We were allowed to taste some special wines. We really enjoyed it. The tour was free, and we bought some wine to take away.
Paul T — Google review
The tour was nice and the wine delicious!
Thais P — Google review
The tour on the winery is for free, the guides are really polite and the tasting at the end of the tour is really good. The place is beautiful and it's worth the visit. If you like something in the winery shop, buy it because the prices are better than on a supermarket
Lau A — Google review
The tour is totally FREE of charge and it is amazing. They show a brief video about the place and origin and a guided tour that goes underground to see the huge tanks where the wine and other products are made. Ending with a tasting session where you can try the the multiple times awarded wine selection. You can't go wrong by taking this tour...

In Bento Goncalves, a city with a rich heritage, the Parque Temático Epopeia Italiana stands out as a must-visit attraction. This indoor theme park brings to life the story of Italian immigrants who arrived in southern Brazil in 1875 through a 45-minute historical and cultural reenactment.
It is like to be in a class learning about how Italians migrate to Brazil. Every station of the presentation is very well explained in detail about their journey from Italy to Brazil. The scenery is very nice and can lead you back to those days when they came to Brazil. I highly recommend.

Today we stopped just for the store and look around. It is even beautiful than was years before. We went to tasting a few grapes to choose which buy. The sales guy was extremely kind and explained very well the difference between the grapes. Totally recommend. I would highly recommend the visitation, I did a few times in the past and it is really nice and beautiful. Try their nature sparkling it is amazing
ANA M — Google review
Casa Valduga is one of those places in the world that you can not miss! I visited this winery in May 2025, during my trip to the Vale dos Vinhedos area. Their hospitality, food, and, more importantly, the quality of the wine is unavailable!! You must try their sparkling wine called 130 Blanc de Blancs. It is to die for! BTW, Luisa Valduga is the best host ever, and their wine cellar is out of this world!
Wine I — Google review
Amazing winery where is one of the most famous one in Brazil. We can enjoy tasting with a lot of options including rare wine. Their wines are fruity, tasty, and simple good. In addition, we can have cuisine in their restaurant. It is course menu, but we can choose each food with several options.
Papipupenta — Google review
Every single person from Valduga treated us graciously and respectful, without rush, teaching us about everything we asked about. We were awarded a very funny and long chat with one of the owners, Mr. João Valduga, who more than just explain about the place, made thousand of good jokes, promoting the same sensation of being in a small and familiar winery. Most important! They have a cute dog called Nero waling over there
Paulo M — Google review
Casa Valdua's tour was an amazing experience (even though I bought the cheapest one). We went through Casa Valdua's history while walking inside the their cave. Also, we tried a select set o wines and champagne. We could see their special cave where Gregorian music is played to the wine. In the end we had short tour outside Casa Valduga.
Mateus Z — Google review
Great winery in a beautiful spot in the hills. Alexandre was able to give us a fantastic tour, in English, at very short notice. He also gave a very informative tasting of their wines. Great time.

Miolo Winery

Miolo Winery is a renowned and spacious winery located amidst picturesque rolling hills, offering visitors the chance to indulge in wine tastings and historical tours. As the largest winery in Brazil, it provides an exceptional experience with informative guided tours that delve into the details of winemaking. The knowledgeable staff ensures a pleasant visit, while the option for wine tasting allows guests to receive credit at the store.
This is the biggest winery in Brazil. I took the tour with the guide and she explained everything to me in details. Before the end of the tour, they teach you how to drink the wine. Definitely recommended
Muhammed S — Google review
Absolutely a deception in regards of presentation and expectation. Perhaps my expectation was really high, but I definitely was expecting much more of a vineyard like Miolo. I love the scooters collection. But the person presenting the history and the wine fabrication was so robotic and not passionated about the products, productions and the history itself. A pity! Hope they can improve.
Gil M — Google review
Years ago I used to come quite often.. I did the tasting, visitation etc. this year I went just to buy one specific wine (Lote 43). I wanted to try other wines (specifically the pinot noir. For my surprise they told us they don’t do more tasting of single bottles and you have to do the paid tasting. They would allowed me to do to the tasting without the visitation, but when I asked which wines were included they would not tell. But basically pinot noir would not be one of them. So what’s the purpose? You go to a winery to try the flavour and then buy a bottle. The staff it is nice the place ia beautiful but the wine purchase was disappointed and then after coming here before definitely not coming back
ANA M — Google review
One of the most known Brazilian winery. Pleasant environment. Guided wine tour available.
Kiyoshi T — Google review
Awesome place. I strong recommend a visit and the guided tour.
Mauricio B — Google review
This place has a nice view and good structure. Visited it there with my family and it all started bad with the cashier, who also seems to be the manager there. She was extremely rude when we were picking the items we wanted and inquired about the extremely high cost of the wine glasses (yes, you have to buy the glasses).
Luiz D — Google review
Went here for a wine tour during the week. Did several other wine tours in the area over 1,5 weeks before. The company has become a typical example of a company growing too fast. Amongst other things this made it lose its authenticity. The tour guide sought no connection with the crowd and talks in a way someone would give a presentation in a primary school. Other employees are just at the company for work and do not really seem to care about their customers. It almost seems that the company scale increase made it lose just that which allowed it to grow: a good story; passionate people; a company that is actually working on a product instead of providing models "showing" the proces; and a tasting with a build in flavors instead of a mix. If you just want to be informed on a factory proces and taste some wine: go here. If you want to be guided through authentic companies by passionate people who do what they love: go elsewhere. There a plenty of companies in the area around Bento which are worth a visit. This could be on the same road, or in other areas like Faria Lemos.

(Translated by Google) For me, the monument O Desbravador in Chapecó is, without a doubt, a strong symbol of the city and the region. It represents the history of the immigrants who came to the west of Santa Catarina and faced many difficulties to build what Chapecó is today. The image of the man with the axe and the Bible clearly conveys the idea of strength, faith and hard work — values that are still part of the local culture. But, at the same time, I think the work has a controversial side. It focuses only on the figure of the "white pioneer" and completely ignores the indigenous peoples who already lived here long before the arrival of the colonizers. This bothers me a little, because it seems that only part of the story is being told — and the indigenous part, which is also super important, ends up being erased. So, I think O Desbravador has its value as a historical and cultural symbol, but it should also open space for a broader reflection on the history of Chapecó, including all the peoples who are part of it.

Beautiful place to walk, run, walk your dog. Take the kids for the playground, exercise on their outdoor exercise equipment. It gets a bit crowded so early runs are recommended.

Despite of the terrible and awful roads conditions it's really worth the visit. The place is very educational and it includes 3 main events. 1st the vehicle ride thru the mine, 2nd the Museum with amazing stones collection, 3rd the self guided tour thru a "minery" (mine+wine) with wine tasting. And yes, there is also a beautiful gift shopping. If this post helped you please give us a like 🤗 Cheers!

(Translated by Google) A unique place with its waterfall parallel to the shore! The boat ride is a unique sensation, almost like immersing yourself in the river's flow, similar to rafting, but against the current with the water falling beside you. It also has beautiful jungle trails. The park is very well organized, and since both access and boating depend on the river level, you should check their website to see if both services are open before visiting. The dry season, from April to November, is recommended to best appreciate the waterfalls. An additional tip is that the upstream dams open on Mondays, which increases the chances of the park having a good flow rate for navigation.

(Translated by Google) A welcoming environment that brings us to the presence of God. I would like to make a recommendation here... encourage people who sing and play to study music to get to know its true essence. Seek to learn more about the richness of the liturgy and liturgical songs in their tradition and current times, as the Church of Rome moves forward. Liturgical songs are not only songs that were composed 100 years ago... nowadays there are magnificent and liturgical compositions that can be used. Insisting only on old songs, which are also beautiful, but very poorly interpreted by most Catholic singers and instrumentalists, isolates an audience over 50 (which is also my case). The church (parishioners) needs to be more creative in its art to attract the new generations that we are losing to secular art. It is necessary to make room for this youth... no one can stand going to mass and hearing songs being interpreted in an empty way by people who do not express God's message. I don't want to generalize here or create conflicts, it's just an experience lived by someone who participates and who today unfortunately contributes little to the church.

Iguazu Falls is a stunning natural wonder that captivates visitors with its immense beauty and power. The park's well-maintained facilities make it family-friendly, ensuring everyone can enjoy the experience.
In terms of nature, this was probably the best experience of my life! The walkway around the Devil’s Throat really lets you appreciate its power and noise. Prepare to get wet from the spray! Both the upper and lower trails are very well maintained and easy to complete with average fitness and mobility. If you only have time to complete one, then I’d recommend the lower trail. En route you’ll also see monkeys, amazing birds, and possibly a jaguar (if you’re very, very lucky). There are plenty of places for food & drink, plus toilets. The whole experience is very well managed.

First time visiting here. Words, like the many photos and videos I took, don't do it justice. Words like wow, grandeur, incredible, breathtaking, only begin to highlight the vastness and the power displayed. Very organized by the administration, where five bus stops each begin different viewpoints. Frequency of busses are great. Paths and many scenic views are well maintained. Many people are there throughout the hours of operation. Large parking area. Cars also park outside the entrance for free, with an added < 1 km walk. Due to its immensity, prepare to walk! We walked along all the paths that we saw, and spent about 6 hours walking. Even with large crowds, it didn't distract from the beauty or the photo-ability. Parking was about US $11 per day. We bought a two-day pass for about $61. A one-day pass would have cost about $40.

Iguazú National Park is a vast expanse that attracts over 1.5 million visitors annually. The park offers train rides to the impressive Iguazú Falls and features a visitor center with an exhibition. On the Argentine side of the falls, there are various walking trails, including the Sendero Verde path where you might spot capuchin monkeys. Additionally, there are accommodations like Awasi lodge and Yucuma Lodge that prioritize conservation efforts and support local communities.
This place is unreal!!! I highly recommend visiting both sides. The Brazilian side is smaller and will give you panoramic views. You have the ascend and a descend at times, but there's an elevator on the way up. The Argentinian side is much longer, flat, with both panoramic and closer views of the waterfalls. Be prepared to get wet, especially on the Argentinian part, where you will see and feel the power of the water. There are food and toilet facilities around, too.

One of the most natural exhilarating sights. Everything you read is true. Argentina Iguazu Falls is epic. Lots of walking so dress accordingly to keep cool. Take some snacks and a water. Wear sunscreen and hat. You may need bug spray. Make sure your phone and camera are fully charged for all the pictures you will take. Super easy to navigate the trails. You will see tons of wildlife and we took the jungle boat cruise instead of the trail or train. Don't miss this!

Visiting Iguaçu National Park was one of the most powerful experiences of my life. Standing before the waterfalls, I felt completely humbled by their sheer force and beauty. The thunder of the water echoed through the jungle, the mist kissed my face, and rainbows danced in the sunlight. It was impossible not to feel the energy of nature there — wild, breathtaking, and absolutely unforgettable.
Elena D — Google review
We visited the Argentinian side of Iguazú Falls as part of a small group of ten people with a local guide. After a late breakfast at our hotel on the Brazilian side, we left around 7:10 AM. The border crossing was smooth and straightforward — no issues at all — and U.S. citizens on a day trip don’t need to bring an e-visa. We arrived at the Argentinian National Park just in time to catch the train that takes you to different trails and later to the boat area. The trails included the Devil’s Throat and several other breathtaking waterfalls. Seeing the power of 2.5 million cubic meters of water per second plunging into the gorge was absolutely mesmerizing — a humbling reminder of nature’s raw strength. One of the most magical parts of the visit was the butterflies. They were everywhere — bright, colorful, and unafraid. Many of them landed on us and stayed for a while as we walked or rode the train. It felt as if they were accompanying us through the trails, adding a gentle, dreamlike touch to the whole experience. The walkways were well maintained and easy to navigate, even in flip-flops. One thing to note: food inside the park is quite expensive — we paid about US $4.50 for a small coffee and US $13 for a hamburger, and the quality was just average. Bringing your own water is highly recommended. The boat ride was the highlight of the day. It was thrilling and completely safe, though at times it felt hard to breathe as we passed directly under the falls — you get soaked, but it’s unforgettable. Watching the waterfalls from below gave a whole new perspective of their power and beauty. Overall, it was a majestic experience — one of those once-in-a-lifetime sights. I’d strongly recommend the boat adventure on either side of the border, but we were told the Argentinian side offers the better experience, and after visiting, I completely agree.

There's no word, no photo or video to describe this place. It's one of those spectacular mother nature displays that you have to see it to believe it. We bought the 3-day pass online so we can explore every hiking trails. The 3-day pass gave us time to explore without feeling rushed. We practically spent about 6 hours daily at Iguazú National Park (INP). Wear comfortable shoes and definitely bring bug spray or they'll have a buffet on you! It's doable in 2 days, but it would have to be a full 8-hour day. We stopped to admire just about every waterfalls, animals, interesting plants, and rainbow we encountered. Kudos to the INP staff. They kept the park nice and clean, and there were plenty of signage. Most staff spoke good English. Oh, right before approaching the visitor center, there's usually a staff handing out a 10% discount coupon to one of the restaurants. We used the coupon daily for our lunch buffet. We also did the boat ride into the waterfalls. It was a blast! A MUST DO, albeit pricey. Buy your ticket a few days in advance because they were sold out on one of the days we had wanted. We bought our tickets online, and it was a simple process. Yes, you'll be soaked. If you're limited on time, both upper and lower falls are worth the time. Take the train (the fee is already included with INP entrance ticket) to explore both locations. Last, please don't feed the wild animals, no matter how cute they are :-).

The park is accessible for whole family. There are pool sections for all ages. Slides are ok and fun. Plenty of choices. Not allowed to bring in your own food. But.. There are different restaurants to chose for food. Although, like any other parks, it's pricey. Another negative, if your looking for a peaceful place to spend with your family, not the place. They have music blasting at full volume and not the best lyrics either. It gets annoying since it also limits communication.

The heart of the city, both literally and figuratively. Pleasant in all respects. Popular and well used locally. The walking track is padded an a welcome relief from concrete. Many convenient services shopping nearby. The aquarium is a great little place to observe and learn the fishes of Brasil. It has a nice playground and the entire area seems safe and well lit. What’s not to like?

Shopping
Gift & Specialty Shops
There are numerous items available for purchase at Shopping China, ranging from luxury renowned labels to more obscure ones. A majority of their products are imported from Brazil. Although the prices can be steep, they generally match those found online. The shopping mall is highly regarded as an excellent one-stop destination for all your shopping needs.
Sooooo many things to buy. Very high end name brands and also some lesser known ones. Mostly imported from Brazil. Expensive but generally the same price as online.

(Translated by Google) This city is beautiful, cheap supermarkets, beautiful places, but I've never seen a city so abandoned, very sad, a lot of bush in the lakes, a lot of holes in the streets. 2023, and the public authorities do nothing? It's full of radar on every street, but it's abandoned, I felt sorry for the residents, I went to visit, and came back sad to see such a big and beautiful city, simply abandoned by the mayor!

Shopping China Importados

Shopping mall
Shopping
Department Stores
Exercise caution when dealing with counterfeit merchandise. Familiarize yourself with the prevailing prices in your local area or online prior to visiting Shopping China Importados. Generally, prices are comparable, but opting for installment payments within Brazil can help you avoid foreign transaction taxes. Additionally, converting your funds into US dollars before shopping can lead to greater savings. It is advisable not to rely on credit cards at this establishment due to potential issues.
The best place to buy original imported goods in Pedro Juan Caballero. The prices are higher than other shops but absolutely everything is good quality and original.
Rose V — Google review
Employees often do not care much about you or are talking in parallel. That's the only apparent and recurrent defect. Despite this, great variety of products and promotions are that worth it, the temptation is great to the point of spending a great deal of money.
Rafael F — Google review
Be aware of fake items. Get to know the prices in the city you live or on the Internet before heading to Shopping China. Usually, prices will be the same but you can pay on installment in Brazil and avoid the IOF tax on foreign expenses. Furthermore, exchange your funds into US dollars before shopping. That way you will save more. Do not use your credit card!
Luciano G — Google review
good prices to buy in dollar or Brazilian real. Cozy food court and Brazilian foods available. beware of salespeople
Jean F — Google review
Best products in PJC, competitive prices. If you are planning to spend more than $500 I suggest checking the exchange rate before hand and comparing to the exchange places downtown PJC.
Fabio O — Google review
It's ok. Was better earlier. Today you enters a 3rd world H&M, whilst earlier you had a proper department store, not only clothing and co.
