We have such good memories from our stay at Tio Conejo. We were looking for a small place to stay. I am interested in birding and we were also looking to do a coffee tour in a small coffee farm. This place appeared to have everything we were looking for. From the beginning, the communication and planning was excellent. We had the coffee tour, coffee tasting, lodging, food, overnight stay and a birding tour in the morning, all at the same place. We highly recommend!

It is a great place to watch birds we saw woodpeckers and 2 species of toucans, also lots of little frogs and hummingbirds

Really great place! The family and staff were amazing - friendly, gracious, knowledgeable, and welcoming. My girlfriend and I had coffee and lunch before going for a walk through the forest. We absolutely loved the experience. I wish we could have stayed the night to do more of the activities they offer. You really must visit here and spend time enjoying its beauty :) my photos don’t do it justice.

Place is great to get in touch with nature. There is a Juan Valdez and an open space to sit in and enjoy the view while sipping on a good coffee. I would recommend the guided tour walk. It takes you all over the park while the guides explain the type of plants/trees they have. You will eventually be taken to the top so you can witness a gran variety of birds in their natural habitat, definitely beautiful and it makes the two hours well worth it! Bring good shoes and comfortable clothing as it may be cold at times.

One of my best and hardest experiences , summiting The ice cap of Santa Isabel. The view is incredible you can see the Nevado del Ruiz and Nevado del Tolima. The Journey is fascinating, the landscapes are breathless, not an easy summit but archivd thanks to the 2022 Santa Isabel expedition by Mochileando Parce.

Visited Nevado del Ruiz in 2021 and it was an amazing experience. The guided tour was great and the scenery out of this world! 100% recommend.

Park has been remodeled in the past year and is the center of all festivals in La Dorada. Very beautiful flowers and mostly shaded. Night time may be a little riskier without a group.

Amazing museum and amazing attention, its small but has a ton of history there. If you are there to learn and with time there are books from the botanical expedition, and from what is around Magdalena river. Highly recommended, after it you can go to the first bridge constructed in its kind in Latin America about 5 blocks away.

This a great spot to have an incredible view. We went there by car but some people use their motorcycle and bike. Please if you are going bring some food. There two beautiful dogs there waiting for you and your love. The view is amazing you can see Magdalena river and this place is for free. There is a sign that says you will contact someone but this is not necessary. Do not park in the close area because you car will be stuck. Park in the hill before going down. Anyway you will have a incredible experience.

Great place to visit on a lazy day at San Francisco / La Vega. Beautiful nature, quiet and friendly helpful staff. Witnessed the release of a sloth in the reservation after being rescued somewhere in the colder areas of La Vega. Three paths to walk, easy, but need to watch your step. It can be muddy and slippery. Great place to spot birds, tortoises, butterflies, fireflies, and much more if patient and quiet enough. Looked after contractors from the municipality, it looks tidy and well kept. Please leave your dog at home to not scare away wildlife.

You may need a couple hours to go through the entire park. There are a few different paths you can take and there are great sights. Some of the paintings have been restored but some of them are deteriorated.

Can't say enough good things about this place, I thoroughly recommend visiting. I tried all means of communication available (email and WhatsApp) before arriving with no response so I was a little worried about availability. The staff at the restaurant by the carpark were super helpful and arranged everything easily after explaining my options. The walk down to the refuge was through gorgeous forest teeming with interesting things to observe and photograph. The refuge was very comfortable and the food was of a very high standard - compliments to the chef! I absolutely loved sitting on the balcony with a cold beer (or a hot chocolate!) and watching the birds and the stunning view. I walked the trail to the cascades and to the oak woods, both through very interesting and different habitats. Lots of mushrooms, birds and beautiful plant life. I could easily have spent a whole week here and still not want to leave

It was an incredible experience and I recommend to everyone who’s visiting Colombia to come here! It is such a unique experience and you get to experience something that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world. The tour guides were very fun and made the experience even more enjoyable. Great food and awesome pictures. Nothing bad to say about the place.even if you’re not religious it is an experience worth while.

Another stunning South American Plaza! Great plaza edged by a beautiful cathedral with unusual stonework. Spent two hours looking at it having a trout for lunch with a few beers on a terraced restaurant. Class day out!

Neusa is one of the most serene, calm, peaceful country sides I have visited so far. Also considering the fact that it is so close to the city, makes it even more special. We visited the place for a shoot and it was amazing. The trees, the birds, the lake and it's surrounding. If you're a camping fan, Do not hesitate to campnaround the lake and have an extremely chilled time out there.

Great place for fancy food, drinks and shopping! All type of luxury brands and you can even find cars to buy inside.

We enjoyed the gardens. My husband is 75 and was able to get in for free. The flowers are just beautiful and the ponds are clean. Very peaceful and relaxing. It’s a very safe place for tourist to take their phones out and take pictures.

In A Nutshell: -Biking Bogota located in the very nice neighborhood called Ciudad Salitre Oriental was the perfect place to rent a bike for the day. -I was able to email them to make a reservation before my trip to Bogota a couple weeks in advance. -I knew I was going to need a bike for the Sunday "Ciclovia de Bigota" where the city closes down large swaths of roads to allow bikes/people exercise, it's such a memorable & fun experience. -Paulo was very friendly & helped make sure my bike was the right fit. -She also provided a helmet, bike lock & a map. -The price for 4 hours was around $20, which was very good. Overall, I highly suggest renting your bike from Biking Bogota you won't be disappointed!

This was my first time visiting Bolivar Square, and I was honestly blown away by how beautiful and lively the area is. The square is surrounded by stunning colonial architecture, including the grand Primatial Cathedral, the National Capitol building, and the Palace of Justice. Everywhere you look feels like a snapshot from a different era, full of rich history and culture. The atmosphere is vibrant yet laid-back. I spent a couple of hours just hanging out, people-watching, and enjoying the view. There are plenty of pigeons flying around, and while they might surprise you at first, it actually adds to the charm of the place. I found it peaceful just sitting there, watching the birds and soaking in the energy of the square. Around the edges of the square, you’ll find small flea market-style stalls selling antiques, crafts, and local goods. It’s a great place to browse for souvenirs or even just admire the handmade items. Some of the antiques and vintage finds were really interesting and felt like they had stories behind them. There are also several nice cafes and restaurants nearby, so it’s easy to take a break with a coffee or a snack while still enjoying the view. The mix of locals and tourists gives the area a welcoming, community vibe. Tips for tourists like me: - Visit during the daytime when everything is open and the square is at its liveliest. - Bring small cash if you want to buy from the flea market vendors. - Keep your belongings close, as it can get crowded. - Take time to explore the nearby streets. There’s more beautiful architecture and street art just a few blocks away. Overall, Bolivar Square was one of the highlights of my visit to Bogota. It’s beautiful, historical, and full of character. Whether you’re into history, architecture, shopping, or just want to relax and observe city life, this place has something for everyone.

I am partial to National Museums, I think they are all mostly great. This museum was equally as great. One small downside was the shortage of alternative languages, while I am somewhat confident reading Spanish, a little more in English wou serve well. No French language, nor any other alternatives. Can be solved using translation app. Cost 43,000COP

Much richer than expected. The museum offers a wide range of well-presented exhibits, with clear explanations through both the audio guide and display texts. I took a slow, thorough walk through and spent about 6 hours. Highlights: 1) gold and other metalworking techniques; 2) artifacts and decorations from different regions of Colombia; 3) offerings and their ritual significance. A deeply rewarding visit.

Parque de la 93 is a wonderful, safe place to visit, especially with kids. It’s a great spot for walking around with your family and feeling at ease. We were there in December during a festive event to kick off the holiday season, and the atmosphere was lively with lots of people celebrating together. The park is spacious, and kids can play while you sit back, relax, and even enjoy some drinks. There are plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area, making it a perfect spot to spend the day with your family. That said, it’s always good to stay aware, especially if you wander too far outside the park, as some corners may feel less secure. But as long as you stay within the park’s main area, it’s very safe and enjoyable. I highly recommend Parque de la 93 for families—great ambiance, lots of space, and a vibrant neighborhood. Definitely a must-visit!

Amazing park, full of nature, history. We were there for 5 hours, and still couldn't walk and see everything, so better plan to go there from early morning. Minus - that some parts do not have English translation, especially about the battles in the sea. Worth the price.

Park was awesome. Also went to the Sunday market. It was huge! Went primarily for the market. Tonne of vendors. Very cool stuff. Street food was excellent! Ate Lechona from the vendor 'The Pig'. Was fantastic!

Carolina is an amazing guide and great experience. She explained everything very well and is very knowledgeable. Definitely worth the drive and small entry price. Amazing experience and so much history.

Well worth the bus ride out here. Great views of the lake and surrounding countryside. Good for families. You have to be reasonably fit but for the up but not too strenuous. We followed the Spanish speaking tour. I think you have to arrange your own English guide ahead of time if you want one.
