Clear and calm waters. Went in a Wednesday and it was quite empty for a sunny day, almost private. Awesome for kids with adult supervision. Beautiful place. Must go when at Paraty.

It's a short boat ride from nearby são Gonçalo Beach. This small island has three little beaches with simple restaurants. Plenty of shade under the trees. The sea is extremely calm and the water is clear. Great place to spend a few hours, especially for families with children

There are also many objects and weapons used in the battle of the 1932 revolution. (Translated by Google) The work done with the models is sensational! Very meticulous and detailed. However, I believe that because there are so many models, the tour with high school students is too quick! They quickly and mechanically tell the stories portrayed in the works, leaving us no time to contemplate them. We must value youth in this type of work, but it seems like there's a lack of better supervision (as well as financial resources—they accept donations). It's worth checking out. Vale prestigiar.

There are several rooms with models and objects from various historical periods such as the 1932 revolution, the Farrapos War and imperial history. There is no entrance fee, they only ask for a donation to keep the place running. All the attractions/areas are presented by them, and the models are also made by the boys and girls involved in the project. The museum presents facts from the 1932 revolution and other historical attractions in Brazil. The models are representations of national historical facts. As mentioned, the entire presentation is made by the young people involved in the project. Each one is responsible for presenting a wing/sector of the museum. Admission is free, and a donation is accepted at the end of the visit, all with the aim of helping the young people who participate in the project. A wonderful project.

(Translated by Google) A BEAUTIFUL museum, it's a shame that it's without incentives, without help, and is deteriorating. It's a real shame. A beautiful place. Perfect models, with lots of details. Spectacular replicas of houses from different eras and places. What upset me the most was knowing that it will be closed next month due to lack of help from the city government. Our leaders are very stupid. We have to encourage our culture as much as possible. Local lindo. Maquetes perfeitas, com muitos detalhes. Replicas de casas espetaculares, de varias épocas e locais. Embark on a delightful journey aboard the Trem da Serra da Mantiqueira, located in the charming city of Passa Quatro, MG. This scenic train ride is pulled by the iconic steam locomotive Maria Fume and offers a round trip lasting about two hours. Along the way, you'll encounter breathtaking landscapes perfect for capturing memorable photos.
(Translated by Google) The Serra Train is a steam train operated by ABPF - Brazilian Association for Railway Preservation and is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting Passa Quatro. The route is approximately 10 km long and the train departs from Passa Quatro station to Coronel Fulgêncio station, at the top of Serra da Mantiqueira, every Saturday and Sunday and on some holidays, also on Friday. Some stories are told along the way, as well as a singer with voice and guitar interprets classics of MPB and sertanejo music. The train makes its first stop at Manacá station, where the steam is increased for the ascent of the mountain and tourists can visit to buy handicrafts, sweets, honey and other treats. The end of the route is at Coronel Fulgêncio station, where passengers can see a photo exhibition telling a little about JK, who before becoming a politician was a captain in the Minas Gerais Military Police and treated many people injured in the fighting between the people of Minas Gerais and São Paulo during the 1932 revolution. Many photos of this movement can be found at this station, which is very close to the Mantiqueira Tunnel, on the border between the states of Minas Gerais and São Paulo, and the scene of the biggest battles of the 1932 revolution, in which the people of Minas Gerais emerged as the big winners. The entrance fee is relatively expensive, R$90.00 per person, and it is best to book in advance.

(Translated by Google) A great family outing, a very worthwhile experience for those who like to relive a bit of Brazilian history, a trip back in time to understand what life was like in the old days... The Maria Fumaça train is very well maintained, with a ramp for wheelchair access. The bathroom at one of the stations is very popular because it is tiny. In my opinion, the price could be a little more affordable to attract more passengers. We went as a family, 7 people, and since it was January (promotion) we paid half the price, 90 reais per person... This spectacular ride certainly needs some improvements, but that doesn't detract from the tour in any way. On the contrary, it's worth highlighting the work of these people in keeping part of our history alive! The ride takes about 2 hours round trip, leaving from the city of Passa Quatro to the tunnel that borders the state of São Paulo, which is also an important piece of Brazilian history. Children love the ride on the train pulled by a steam locomotive (the famous Maria Fumaça). I recommend buying tickets in advance, as they always sell out, as they only run on weekends! The Basílica Histórica de Nossa Senhora Aparecida is a welcoming place for pets, as visitors are surprised by how well-behaved they are. It's possible to attend mass with your furry friends without any issues. When visiting, it's recommended to sit closer to the door and in the back rows to manage any barking. The architecture of the basilica is stunning, although some visitors were unable to enter due to closure.

The parish priest tried to prevent a large flock of faithful to pray the Holy Rosary in front of the church. This had been announced days in advance. Instead he purposely rang all of the church bells, to make so much noise that nobody could understand a word - it was a wonderful experience to pray the Holy Rosary under such circumstance, against the orders of the pastor! *Shame on this parish pastor!*

Air Bontur cable cars provide a convenient and comfortable way to reach Cruzeiro Hill, a place of meditation in the Stations of the Cross. The individual and air-conditioned cable cars offer fantastic views of Aparecida and the Sanctuary. Visitors highly recommend this organized and safe experience, praising its efficiency and privacy. While some feel that prices could be more accessible, many still find it to be an excellent attraction at the Sanctuary for a unique ride on the cable car.

(Translated by Google) It was a really fun family outing, with a really beautiful view of the sanctuary and the city. There was a line, but it was really quick. Up to six people can enter each cable car at a time. If you want, you can pay a little more and go up the elevator and have an even better view of the sanctuary. Very impressive place to visit and walk around. Even if you don’t come for a pilgrimage, it is worth while to come and make it a tourist visit. It was quite busy even though it was weekday

Considered the second biggest Catholic Temple of the world (after San Pedro Temple in Vatican) and the biggest in Brazil. Beautiful religious place with plenty of infrastructure to accommodate faithful from all places and renew their vows
Claudio T — Google review
It was bigger than o ever imagined. It’s like an entire city, it takes hours to walk around and be able to appreciate every detail. Lots of stores inside and restaurants. With the Covid-19 restrictions, we couldn’t see more of the inside details but it was worth it. They have mass every hour and multiple locations as well. I loved it. Perfect to buy gifts and there more attractions outside the Basilica as well. The entire city is filled with attractions and even the cities nearby.

This should be included in the must visit places in Brazil. The cathedral is huge and very beautiful. The dome ia decorated with paintings of Brazilian fauna. The sacred image of the Holly Mary, which was found by locals and is attributed to several miracles, is exposed there. The energy of this place is hard to describe.

St. Lawrence Water Park

Mentioned on

Park
Nature & Parks
St. Lawrence Water Park is a serene resort with mineral waters, beautiful gardens, and various sports facilities. Visitors can enjoy the calm atmosphere, take leisurely walks, and have peaceful conversations while admiring the lovely nature and interacting with ducks at the lake. The park offers different types of mineral spring water from distinct fountains, each with its own unique taste and health benefits. It is well-managed and provides good services such as those offered by the house of Bath.
It is a very beautiful area in the center of the city with a wonderful pond and nature area. You need to buy a ticket at the entrance but there are many options. There are many different animals and fruits inside. There are also natural spring waters that are only available in two places in the world (the other is in France), you can fill your bottle and drink (7 different sources & 9 different water sources) You can also rent pedal or motorized water vehicles here or use walking balloons. You can spend hours in this huge park and have a pleasant time listening to nature. There are also some playgrounds and cafeterias. If you pass by, I recommend you to visit, the heart of the city ♥️🇧🇷🌴
Pınar A — Google review
Beautiful water park, it has some small disadvantages. I really like that the park is wel maintained and looks good. However, for a water park the water fountains are sometimes a bit far apart. Also, this park has many water fountains with extremely metallic flavours. The park has many nice places to sit and relax to enjoy the beauty of the water park. The park has a restaurant, but that restaurant is not good, so I would not go. Parking is difficult close to the water park. Infront you can just park for teo hours, so you have to park further away. Inside there are also some nice shops with sweets and even an art gallery. For kids there are plenty of places to play in the park. The park consists out of two areas that are connected by a tunnel. The older park is more beautiful in my opinion. You can also rent several types of boats to go on the lake. Compared to other water parks you can not go out for lunch and come back with the same ticket. This is different from the English description at the entrance that clearly says that you just have to pay once per day, but that is not true. Overall, it is a great place to visit but with some small negative points.

A nice park to walk around. There are several short hikes. We really enjoyed Trilha dos campos (3km), which takes you up to good views and also winds along the river for a stretch. The trail to the waterfall was much more crowded and more of a road than a trail. Overall, the park itself was very crowded excepting Trilha dos Campos. It is possible to access by bus or uber and you do have to pay to enter.

Waterfalls
Ducha de Prata is a popular tourist spot in Campos do Jordao, featuring man-made waterfalls and showers accessible via wooden decks. The water supply comes directly from the natural waterfalls of Ribeirao de Perdizes. Visitors can stroll along the wooden bridges, listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfall, and explore nearby souvenir stalls offering various items such as clothing, chocolates, and crafts.
Another tourist attraction in Campos de Jordão and one of the best for sure. A small waterfall with walking areas and platforms designed to get the best picture possible. Lots of small shops and restaurants around as well as tourism buses departing and arriving here. On the low side there is lack of toilets, so if you have the urge, you need to use one of the tiny ones located within the restaurants around.

Overlooking Campos do jordoan, beautiful European style town right in brazil. You can take a "ski lift" type ride up or down to the overlook. Couple of little shops and food vendors so you can spend a little extra time enjoying the view. The photos are what so much of the home, hotels, shops and restaurants are like.

It was OK but not that much of a thing to see you have to pay to get a good photo photo it was around 5reais The cable car is not working now so if you want to try the cable car you have to wait-a-bit more It's also not easy to park
Amy H — Google review
Beautiful view in a place that could get potential to be better. We climbed to the elephant's hill using the scared cable car, I believe its was created with the city and never modernized. My husband, who is Canadian, liked the experience more than I did. He was scared but he found excited at the same time. I think that because I have already been to Campos do Jordão several times, I think at this point the city, which seems to be very rich looking at the hotels in the area and people who frequent it, should have already renovated that a long time ago and have made something much better and more attractive, as the other countries that have mountains for Ski. I think don’t need to be exactly the same, but Mount Tremblant in Quebec also has a small area up hill and its not so fancy, but little more attractive and safe. Anyway, the view is very beautiful and we can see the whole city, mountains and part of the other surrounding regions. When we get up there again, the attractions could be much more elaborate and modernized giving opportunity to locals to get better jobs, show a nicer view and give to the city, locals and visitors a better structure. I think the place with elephants is a good idea, especially for children, but they could modernize it and charge a little for the entrance to maintain the place. They also could make a kind of a little mall where people could expose their crafts making their products more attractive and a nice cafe or restaurant with a lookout ... Anyway, use a little of the American style of exposing your business, which could be better for everybody. If I had money to invest, that unfortunately is not the case at the moment, I would probably organize people and get that changed for the benefit of all city and visitors. Grade: Eli = 3, Serge = 3 Recommend: It’s worth for the Mountain View.

This park was absolutely beautiful and worth the 40 Reis entrance fee. The gardens were all well-maintained. The views of the surrounding valleys were spectacular. It's an easy stroll through the park, and there's even a maze to navigate through. There are various plants to see and coy fish in the ponds. And there's a tree house you can visit. You only need 1-2 hours total to see everything. The employees were nice, but it may be difficult to find someone that speaks English.

Nice the palace is like a French chatu of the 17th century is a copy I would say but the system is not very efficient to take visits as you have to go in person should be via internet like all other places in the town are this makes it difficult to visit and becomes a poor quality service and poor efficiency in today's days.

(Translated by Google) A guesthouse with no quiet hours, shouting and barking, and no rest. The light floods the room, which smells musty. The breakfast area is very pretty but small and everything is processed. There wasn't a single fresh juice or homemade cake. The kitchen lady had a stern expression, as if she were doing the guests a favor. I don't recommend it!!!

(Translated by Google) The inn is located in downtown Lambari, close to everything. The room I stayed in was very cozy, clean, air-conditioned, and had a very nice bathroom. The bathroom was very nice, and the space was large, with Netflix and Wi-Fi. The breakfast was simple, and the dining room was charming and beautifully themed. Points for improvement: the bed sheets are quite old, and the towels are too. Otherwise, it was very good. I recommend it. SerraSul Shopping

Shopping mall
Shopping
Gift & Specialty Shops
SerraSul Shopping is a vibrant and spacious shopping mall that offers a delightful mix of department and clothing stores, making it an ideal destination for fashion enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options at the food court, perfect for grabbing a bite after some retail therapy. The multiplex movie theater adds to the entertainment experience, providing an excellent way to unwind with friends or family. While it features a reasonable selection of shops, some may find the absence of larger anchors like supermarkets or drugstores noticeable.

Very few shops around, most of them are closed. Good choice for snacks and food but no coffee shops. Some bars around but nothing to enjoy a good coffee or tea. Location is not good and probably this is the reason the place is not very popular with locals. Not easy reachable by foot for tourists without own transportation. The mall was building far away from city center and main high street to keep shoppers on foot away, well they managed to keep most shoppers away, I can say the development was a disaster for choosing a poor location.
Mauro C — Google review
Due to the shopping policy stores are really expensive and the only thing to do there is fast food eating/cinema. Moreover, a lot of stores have closed or moved away from the shopping. And, they still charging for parking spots. No surprise it might be closing on 2020
Henrique F — Google review
If you expect a good mall, it isn't. At least it works for its purpose of having a food court, cinema and shops.
Helen Z — Google review
Several food options at the food court, reasonable quantity of shops. Lacks more anchors such as a supermermarket or a drug store.

Sad to see the privatization of places that belonged to the city and its citizens. Most attractions at Poços de Caldas are now private and closed at this time. Yes, you heard me... the attractions are closed except for the christ. Once they open again all attractions will be charged... locations that were free for more than 100 years will now be charged. Needless to say, the Fonte dos Amores was closed. What saved the day were the monkeys who were coming to the gate to greet us. However, because the attraction has been closed, the monkeys have been hungry and tourists have been feeding them all types of foods even M&Ms.. so sad.

This is a very nice city trail by which I mean, your only one block outside a residential neighborhood and into the mata. Once on the trail you're immediately in dense foliage and on a steep, stairs-like climb for the next 500m. The last 100m or so is on open mountain exposed to sun and a view of your target, Christo. My observations, the trail could be more meandering through the jungle to get to the top rather than straight up. And of course, Brazilian style, there's a road for cars to drive to the top so you arrive into a parking lot, cars and the usual trash and noise. Check out the paragliding view on the backside!
