Highly recommend visiting this winery when you are in the area, definitely was on the busier side but very much worth it. The property was gorgeous and we went on a tour where we learned a lot about the wine in this region. Before the tour we were able to eat lunch at the restaurant, I would recommend getting a reservation, we were lucky to sit down and eat without one. Food was top notch!! A must visit!
Kelsey M — Google review
What a wonderful experience in Casas del Bosque vineyard! The staff are super nice and the place is wonderfully decorated. We were super lucky to have a private tour by Alejandro who was super informed and told us all about the wine making process while visiting the different parts of the wine making process. Wine tasting at the end was also excellent, with Alejandro’s narration, in a beautiful tasting room. We did this together with a tasting menu lunch at their Tanino restaurant which is also excellent. A perfect wine tasting experience!! Cannot recommended enough!
George T — Google review
A really good visitor experience. A beautiful display area and very knowledgeable guide who answered questions brilliantly and explained really clearly. Oh, and the wines were delicious
Lee W — Google review
We went on a group tour to the winery and had a fabulous time. Christopher was our guide, sommelier and out right expert on everything WINE. :) He spoke fantastic English and playfully bantered with us the entire time. Highly recommend the wines and the experience.

Absolutely gorgeous grounds and wines to match. Enjoyed a great tour of this stunning modern winery as well as tasting of two whites and two reds. I have visited wineries all across the world but this experience was truly among the best in my 40 years of exploring winemaking.

Viña Undurraga, established in 1885, is a captivating vineyard that offers an immersive experience into the world of winemaking. Had such a great time on the Founders Tour. My wife, friends, and I spent a few hours. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and did the tour in english with us. She was amazing for our group to ask questions as well as laugh with. The wine was excellent at a great price as well.
Zach H — Google review
The tour guide was great and funny and the wine tastes very good. Very high quality and I loved learning about how they make wine because I never did something like that before. The wine garden is beautiful and it was an interesting experience
Saddia J — Google review
Fun winery tour - Javiera was a wonderful English speaking guide. The wines are great, and explained well. I wish we could have wine poured to drink during the walking tour. Of all the wines we had in Chile, Undurraga was our favorite. We brought back several bottles to the US.
Brett S — Google review
This was my first time in an actual winery. They had an English language tour which was great. The wine was fantastic. The indigenous artefacts and trees of the property are amazing. Eating grapes off the vine was also a fun experience. They have done a really great job with the place. The guide Mat was really good and explained everything so well. I visited in the summer of 2024 and really enjoyed going to Vina Undurraga. Chilean wine is much better than anything from Australia or New Zealand and I continue to buy Undurraga wine even after returning to Malaysia.
Sumiitra S — Google review
I didn't have high expectations of a winery tour but Undurraga surpassed even the highest expectations. We were in a group and they gave us a wonderful English speaking guide, and off we went. The vineyard was formerly family owned, and has a great botanical garden as a buffer to the vineyard from the offices. They took us out to see the vines, showed us the differences in the leaves between varietals, gave us a history lesson. Then they took us through the fermentation and storage areas, and we learned about casks, etc. After that there was a small exhibit on native peoples, and some wagons and tractors. And then a tasting of 5 different types of wine, which were all delicious and the goblet was a souvenir. So much so almost everyone on the tour bought wine in the shop before hitting the bus. Would definitely go again, and will look for their wines!
Slam D — Google review
Visited as part of a wine tour organised by STAMP TOUR. One of the bigger wineries in the Maipa valley and the tour was well organised. Talked about the history of the wines and the processes. At end of the tour sampled 5 wines and were given glasses to take away.
I R — Google review
Awesome grounds and we had a very nice girl give us tour in English. It was one of the three wineries we visited outside of Santiago, and this one didn't disappoint. It's a beautiful place and the wine tasting was good, although we only had crackers to pair with the wine and not having other options felt a bit short.
Henry D — Google review
The tour is excellent. The have a lot of different price points for wine. Souvenirs are affordable.

Nestled in the picturesque Alto Jahuel foothills, Viña Santa Rita offers a sublime wine-tasting experience. The vineyard boasts a perfect blend of advanced technology and diverse terroirs, resulting in high-quality wines that leave a pure and delightful flavor on your palate. The expansive estate features well-maintained gardens and an intriguing history to explore.
Valentina is a wonderful tour guide!! She answered all my questions and led a fantastic wine tasting in the cellar. If you only visit one vineyard in the area, let it be Santa Rita! I arrived at 10:30am and stayed all day until close. Such beautiful gardens, delicious wine, a fascinating museum, and well organized operations with English speaking guides and very helpful staff. Don’t miss Dona Paula, the onsite restaurant. I had lunch with the friends I made on my tour and cannot recommend it enough, especially our server Luis 🤍
Maggi R — Google review
A wonderful experience in the Maipo Valley! We had the chance to visit Santa Rita Winery, and it was a truly memorable experience. The tour of the vineyard and the cellar was both informative and enjoyable, with our guide sharing the rich history of the winery in a very engaging way. The wine tasting was excellent, with generous pours and a great selection of their labels. An added bonus to the visit is the Andean Museum, which is included in the tour and offers a surprisingly impressive collection of pre-Columbian and colonial artifacts. It’s a beautiful space that really adds cultural depth to the overall experience. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Santiago and want to explore Chilean wine culture at its best!
Miguel O — Google review
Brilliant. You can do an hour tour there. It’s fascinating, can be done in a few languages. You end up trialling some really nice wine in their cellar with very generous portions. We got a free wine glass for each of us and then went to their shop where it’s amazingly cheap! We bought 12 bottles at a great price and they’re very happy to let you test the bottles you’re looking at so you can decide to buy or not.
Andrew N — Google review
I combined Santa Rita with Concha y Torro. The tour in Santa Rita was better, due to the things you see in the winery and vineyard. The guide was also very knowledgeable and entertaining. The wine was better at other places, although you get to try 4 wines. If you want to look how a mass producer does it, this is the preferable spot! If you want the best wine in Chile, it's not what I would recommend.
Gertjan V — Google review
Concha y Toro was a bit nicer - but 100% worth to visit Santa Rita, learn more about its story, why 130 is such an important number and its rich gardens around the hotel.
Yuri F — Google review
Wine tasting and tour, stunning winery that produces 90 million bottles a year, tour takes about 50 minutes and includes tasting 3 wines of the 120 range.....won't give away the story of its name, you'll have to go yourself....!
Trevor H — Google review
The winery is beautiful. The horse drawn carriage was relaxing and we enjoyed touring the grounds. Our tasting of three wines was superb and then there was the picnic lunch we enjoyed on the grounds. It was the highlight of our day. I highly recommend touring this location.
Mark B — Google review
The grounds are pretty nice with most historical cellar we have seen in the Santiago area. The wine pairings come with cheese and nuts so that was good. Our guide however was very disengaged and really without much knowledge of the wine or it's makings. A bit disappointed because of that.

Flower clock

The Flower Clock, located in Vina del Mar, Chile, is a stunning garden clock adorned with vibrant flowers. Built to commemorate the 1962 World Cup hosted by Vina del Mar, this fully functional timepiece features a face made entirely of flowers meticulously maintained to not obstruct its white metal hands. Every 15 minutes, the clock chimes and plays seasonal music. A popular spot for visitors seeking picturesque photo opportunities, it stands as a testament to Vina's nickname 'The Garden City.'
This is a beautifully landscaped flower clock that blooms throughout the year and is symbolic of picturesque Viña del Mar. This attraction is definitely worth a visit when in the Valparaiso area of Chile.
Peter K — Google review
It was a flower clock .. what can I say !!!! Ah, Viña del Mar! Okay, the Flower Clock there... right. It's one of those "tourist attraction" things. You know, you see it in the brochures, and you think, "Okay, sure, why not?" And then you get there, and it's… a clock made of flowers. Exactly as advertised. Look, it's not offensive. It's kind of cute, I guess. People were definitely taking photos, doing the whole "pose and smile" routine. I did too, because, well, when in Viña del Mar, right? But let's be honest, it's not exactly a "must-see." It's a quick pit stop, a photo op, and then you're off to find something more interesting. Viña del Mar has so much more to offer – the beaches, the coastline, the gardens. Compared to those, the Flower Clock just feels a bit… meh. It's not that it's bad, it's just that it's not exactly a highlight. If you're walking along the coast, it's a nice little diversion. But if you're on a tight schedule, you're not missing out on much if you skip it. Basically, it's a clock. Made of flowers. In Viña del Mar. If that sounds like your thing, go for it. If not, there are plenty of other, more exciting things to do in the city.
Piyush P — Google review
The maintenance and well manicured flowers was amazing to see up close. You can only appreciate the beauty in person
Prakash P — Google review
A pretty flower clock. The beach is nearby. Worth the 5 min visit to have a quick look, but nothing too special.
Tina — Google review
Standing before the Flower Clock in Viña del Mar felt like stepping into a postcard. The vibrant, meticulously arranged flowers forming the clock face create a stunning contrast against the lush greenery. It's more than just a landmark—it's a symbol of the city's charm and attention to detail.
Santanu M — Google review
Hi my name is Daniela, nice place to stop by and take photos. A lot of tourists
Divina D — Google review
Very beautiful and well maintained area. The clock is fully functional, but the area can get very busy with tourists and people. Parking is very limited, and usually, tour busses fill them up. You will only spend a few minutes here, but it's pretty to look at.

The tour also includes a visit to Pirque Viejo vineyard and an impressive panoramic view of Maipo Valley.
amazing place with a lot of information and culture about Chilean wine. The environment is beautiful, clean, organized and they have an amazing structure for visitants to have a 10/10 experience. I recommend to buy the cheese + wine tour, this way you can learn how to harmonize wine with different types of cheese.
Isadora A — Google review
What a magical winery! You are literally right in the middle of the city and all of a sudden there's the winery grounds. It's beautiful. The tour is fun and informative plus you get a nice tasting of their wines. They recently opened up a new bar area or champagne tasting room as well. The birds and wildlife on the grounds are fabulous, many even have their own names. If you're in Santiago, definitely make the hour or so trip to visit. It's worth it.
Michelle R — Google review
We attended the opening night event at this vineyard and were given a tour of the cellars. Stunning venue. Beautiful setting. Has an impressive bar lined with wine bottles. On the tour of the cellars they have a room where you can smell all the aromas in wine seperately. The cellar tour is very high tech but probably appeals more to the younger crowd. This cellar is famous for their Casillero del Diablo wine. We had a wonderful evening!
Mark C — Google review
It's very nice to see how a mass producer of wine does it. Although there is very little production on site, the tour itself was nice. It's a short getaway from the city. The guide was knowledgeable (WSET Level 2) and pleasant. Overall, I liked it. Wouldn't come back for the tour, but if you want to see a vineyard around Santiago, this is a nice one to do. In the wine tasting, you get to try 4 wines and they are certainly above average to good!
Gertjan V — Google review
Our visit to Viña Concha y Toro was an unforgettable experience—the vineyard itself is breathtaking, the tour was informative, and the wine tastings were absolutely top-tier. That said, our day started on the wrong foot thanks to the trio of ticketing ladies at the entrance, who seemed personally offended by our presence. They were painfully slow, clearly confused by their own computer system, and lacked even a shred of enthusiasm or basic courtesy. It was as if customer service had been stomped out like a bad grape. Thankfully, the rest of the staff and the vineyard’s charm more than made up for that awkward, quite irritating interaction. 4/5 stars due to tour guide Felipe absolutely crushing the tour. He is an asset to that business.
Rodrigo D — Google review
This was an amazing experience! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Manuela our tour guide was able to communicate simultaneously in English and Portuguese with a great energy. Romina the sommelier gave us the Marques tasting, it was fantastic! She explained everything that even a novice like me could follow along with!
Louis K — Google review
Overall experience is pretty bad. We took Cellar Collection tour (120k CLP ~120 USD). The wines were good, some were outstanding (5 in cellar collection degustation, 4 in regular one). Guide and sommelier were friendly and professional. BUT: the dinner in Bodega 1883, that we bought online (50k CLP ~ 50 USD online), was awful. All 3 courses were bad, 1 glass of wine was terrible (it seems it was most basic one. In the winery for 50 bucks!). The cherry on top: elixir cassilero del diablo (Porto wine type) online is 30k CLP per glass and on-site is 20k CLP. Anyways the elixir is pretty weak Porto and not worth 120 USD per bottle.
Иван П — Google review
This is the best visitor experience at a vineyard I’ve been to anywhere in the world. They have invested heavily in an excellent audio visual experience that takes you through the winemaking process. It really is first class. And it’s with paying for the higher end food and tasting options- again, exceptional quality. There’s some stuffiness about Concho y Toro for being ‘commercial’ but this experience reinforces their credentials as serious quality producers

The beach is lined with bars, cafes, and vendors selling various treats. Nearby amenities include restaurants, cafes, and stalls offering traditional crafts. Renaca Beach is known for its lively atmosphere and proximity to the nightlife of Vina del Mar.
It’s a beautiful beach, super clean and full of vibrant positive people, respectful tourists, most of whom are from Argentina. If you’re thinking about getting into the ocean and swim a little bit, get that thought out of your mind, the water is super cold and impossible to swim.
Mansour M — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking! Can’t think of a time I felt more relaxed. Even if it was a quick visit.
Brock R — Google review
One of the best beaches of Viña Del Mar. Nice costanera for a walk, full of restaurants and hotels to stay.
Alexander R — Google review
Very good ! Nice beach, but considering it’s a Chilean Pacific beach, that means , cold water, windy and not a real real summer. The beach almost disappears because of the short beach and is always like a well and is quite dangerous. It is not a beach suitable for swimming or enjoying the water. But the palace is beautiful because of the people that are almost all of them Mendocineans. It’s a nice place I think one of the best close to Santiago. But summarizing Chilean beaches are not good at all. Atlantic is way way better with Long Beaches… But the view is beautiful!!

Reñaca is an area known for its beaches and balnearios located in the Valparaiso Region of Chile. Situated along the coastline, the city of Reñaca is near the city of Viña del Mar. The two are connected by a long coastal road named Avenida Borgoño. Reñaca serves as a residential area predominantly catering to the upper-middle class, and provides a coastal lifestyle with access to amenities and recreational activities. Reñaca is at the northernmost extreme of the city of Viña del Mar and has been incorporated by it. The beach of Cochoa and the town of Concón is located to the north along the coast road. The lower part of the hill overlooking the beach is covered with residential buildings up the hillside. The town also extends eastward up the valley through which the Estero de Reñaca flows, where the majority of the year-round population lives.

La Moneda Palace

State government office
Sights & Landmarks
La Moneda Palace, also known as Palacio de la Moneda, is an elegant building in the heart of Downtown Santiago. Originally constructed as the Royal Mint between 1784 and 1805, it was later repurposed as the presidential palace. Designed by Italian architect Joaquin Toesca, this Neoclassical structure holds historical significance as the official seat of government for Chilean presidents. Visitors can explore its grand architecture and learn about its rich heritage through guided tours.
This is a must visit in Santiago. It is the offices of the President of Chile. It is the site of the military coup in 1973. It’s the home of their democratic government today and in the past. They do a change of guard every two days at 10:00 AM. That is a very splendid event to watch. Go under the Moneda for some stunning art exhibitions, a snack, and clean bathrooms. The ceremony starts at the back of the Moneda and marches around to the front where most of the ceremony occurs. Get there a little early to get a good viewing spot. If you look closely you can still find where they repaired bullet holes on the palace. There several other spectacular government structures in the

Palacio de La Moneda is a majestic landmark in Santiago, Chile, serving as the presidential palace. Its neoclassical architecture and cultural significance make it a must-see. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, nearby museums, and the impressive changing of the guard ceremony.

Super fun tourist spot, be sure to go on a morning when they change the guard!
Mark B — Google review
Saw the changing of the guards today. It’s every second day, 10am and goes for 30mins. The crowd around the perimeter was only one deep, it would be harder to see anything if it was busier.
Margo R — Google review
Watched the change of guard at the palace today. Quite impressive.
Roger G — Google review
So fun watching the changing of the guard. It’s on at 10 on odd days in months with an odd amount of days, and even dates on others.
Our F — Google review
Hoped to be able to tour the inside, but they had pretty tight security around the building and not allowing tourists to even go inside of the perimeter fence that was set up. Took a few pictures from the memorial plaza/park area adjacent to the palace. This building functions as a government/state building and houses many offices and meeting rooms for high ranking government officials in the Chilean government. A nice display and many flags and memorials to past leadership are also found on the ground and around the area. This is one of the key buildings you'll find on many of the Chilean souvenirs. It's a significant historical landmark.

Wonderful place. Need an entire day to visit. The most shocking and beautiful part is the view of the Embalse Valle Grande from the top along the road to the canyon. The best view is in the first half of the day.

Very beautiful canyon in Mendoza province. It’s cool to drive on a car inside canyon and after that enjoy in the lake where you can rent SUP and kayak!
Yevhenii B — Google review
From San Rafael, the canyon is about 1 hour drive away and can be visited without booking a tour. The best option is to have a car to drive in the canyon. The road is not paved but is passable cautiously. The best is to plan the day there with a picnic like many local people and to stop wherever you want. The canyon offers various incredible spot.

From San Raphael bus terminal take the public bus (250 pesos) to the last stop which requires you only to walk to canon Atel for 30min (mirador). I suggest to take the 7h20 am bus for great photos (see photos as lake acts like a nice mirror). At 12pm lots of people rafting and will create wave ripples (not as nice). route 1: Canon Atel mirador route 2: walk back to last stop and take the other road (bridge) route 3: walk back the same way from the bus route to view other touristic views and activities (the bus to return to san Raphael will be cheaper as you will walk 30min to an hr back). 150aprox see other comments i have for nearby areas.

Best place to start your sightseeing trip in Santiago! Beautiful views from the top of the mountains. There are a lot of stairs and walking uphill, so wear comfortable shoes. It was free to get in. Patio Bellavista is a lively shopping center located in the artistic neighborhood of Bellavista, Santiago. It features a variety of unique shops offering high-quality arts and crafts, jewelry, woolens, woodwork, and clothing. The beautifully designed space is centered around a cobblestone patio with charming cafes and outstanding restaurants where visitors can enjoy al fresco dining. Additionally, there are boutiques selling typical Chilean products such as lapis lazuli, textiles, and leather work.
Came on Saturday afternoon to finish my day at this vibrant open-air area. Enjoy some casual dining, and was able to pick up last-minute gifts, and take in the lively atmosphere before heading to the airport. Worth stopping by if you’re around

This area had a fun vibe with plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. We ate at the BBQ place which was one of the best spots we ate at in Santiago. We would definitely recommend!

Patio Bellavista is a lively and stylish spot in Santiago, perfect for exploring shops, restaurants, and cafes. The atmosphere is vibrant, with a mix of locals and tourists enjoying the open-air setting. If you’re a meat lover, Texas Ribs is a solid choice for hearty dishes. We stopped by a café, soaking in the relaxed ambiance while sipping coffee. The variety of shops is impressive, offering everything from artisanal crafts to high-end fashion, but prices can be steep. While it’s a great place to wander and experience Santiago’s energy, be prepared for premium pricing.

Is a lively spot in the city, perfect for spending time exploring shops, restaurants, trying new food and buying souvenirs. It has a great variety of places to eat and drink, as well as a mix of shops. There’s parking available right in front of Patio Bellavista, which is convenient, but it’s a bit pricey. For less than 40 minutes, we ended up paying 2000 CLP. But the cost for a whole day is 6500 CLP, what’s actually not bad. Restroom facilities: The toilets are not the cleanest, and they charge 500 CLP per visit. Could definitely be improved, especially considering the fee.

Good place to buy souvenirs, more reasonably priced. I bought an Incan chess set for CLP35,000 in Valparaiso, but it’s CLP20,000 here. Should have come here earlier. The place is close to a few universities.

Live music and cozy ambience all around makes you feel relaxed and in the mood to wine and dine. Its a tourist hot spot so crowded most of the times. I spent an entire afternoon here and it was well worth it. Enjoyed every bit from the food to the shops to the local culture. Neat and clean open areas with well maintained roof top gardens and public spaces. Tasty food. Reasonable prices. Helpful staff. Overall a memorable experience with my local friends!👌

San Cristóbal Hill, also known as Cerro San Cristobal, is a must-visit landmark in Santiago. It offers stunning city views and various attractions. Visitors can hike up the hill or take the popular funicular train to reach the top. At the summit, they can admire the statue of the Virgin Mary and enjoy panoramic views of the city while savoring local refreshments.
Visited Chile last year. A beautiful and peaceful place with amazing views of Santiago. I could even see in the distance, the snow on a part of the Andes mountain range. It was great.

The 22-meter statue on San Cristóbal Hill, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, was designed by Italian sculptors Luigi Poletti and Giuseppe Obici, and was constructed by the French foundry Val D'Osne. Although it's cloudy day, tourists still crowded. The cable car took us to a platform where there are lots of souvenir stores , food stalls, then taking about 100 steps to the top. I wish I had enough time to climb up all the way to the top myself. The overview was excellent even in a cloudy day.

Recoleta is a lively and diverse district of Santiago, known for its mix of culture, history, and everyday local life. It’s famous for the Patronato neighborhood, where you’ll find bustling markets, street food, and affordable shopping, reflecting the area’s strong immigrant influence. Hi my nae is Daniela. This mall is huge. A lot of brands, you can find a bit of everything. Prices are like in EU, not really local things but the surrounding zone to the mall looks very interesting

This mall offers a large selection of brand names like Nike, North Face, Columbia, Gap etc. The pricing is higher than in US for certain brands and therefore I didn't buy anything. However, I liked visiting the Decathlon store, which is a discount sporting goods retailer and without any stores in the US. Overall I enjoyed the clean and relaxed atmosphere with enough benches and restrooms on each level. They have also USB ports and free WiFi for their customers. The Jumbo supermarket is a plus with a large variety of foods and reasonably priced.

This was a great experience to have while visiting Santiago. When we were there, it was $20 an adult, and we went during sunset on a Friday, and it was pretty busy. There was live music though, and space to see through all the windows. The cafe filled up before we got there. The topmost deck is open to the air, so dress appropriately, but the lower floor is air-conditioned. You exit through the 5th food court, which was immense!!!

Fantastic! Built in 2015, and currently the tallest building in South America, I would say it’s well-worth it for the views! It’s 20,000 CLP for adults, and it’s one of the highlights of Santiago. A great place to admire the view, and capture some great photos! There’s also a nice bar/restaurant that can be good (otherwise, there are more food options in the main mall). Wow! An absolute must try! $20 USD to get to the top of the tower. It has two levels for viewing. One of them is open roof. There is also a restaurant that has amazing food and equally amazing prices. Try to get up there before sunset. As the sun sets and night moves in, the views continue to change and they just keep getting better. 10/10!

Absolutely beautiful but the road feels like a death trap
Sophia D — Google review
I came here on a day trip from Santiago as I wanted to cross the Andes off my list, but this is one of the few places I felt was a waste of time and money. It looks beautiful in winter, but in the summer it's just barren rock. But even so, it's just a reservoir surrounded by low barren mountains, nothing special. I can drive a couple hours from my house and see much nicer alpine lakes. If you've never been to the mountains before, sure you come here. Othwerwise, it's not worth it at all. Not to mention when we were there, there were tour vans illegally driving on the path and some local kid threw a rock at a fox. Actually, the fox sighting was the only thing that made it worth it.

Wonderful place! It's different in summer and winter and on both seasons the view is amazing. It's really close to Santiago and on summer you can go just by yourself. Rent a car and take your time there, guided tours will be expensive and you'll leave the place still wanting to stay a little longer. On winter though maybe a guided tour would be safer but on summer, go by yourself on a rented car!

a beautiful, quiet, wild place. We managed to find them when there were no tourists. no tickets needed, there is free parking nearby.

If you come here to do activities, don’t expect to do much. The average wait time to go sledding, tubing, ziplining, etc. is 2-3 hours. They so play cannot handle the amount of people. Please see my video as it is just a simple example of a line here even after an hour. You can see multiple other lines as well. The fastest way to move up in the line is people giving up and leaving the line. We came with a tour so didn’t have to wait in a ticket line which was also huge in the morning. On another note, The Mountain views are pretty cool. If you want to just see snow and hang out, I guess it would be fine.

Visited about a month ago , went through a tour agency. Park has a lot of activities along with skiing lessons or snow boarding lessons . I was recommended the skiing lessons by the tour guide and we reached around 11 am . We had to wait for about 10-15 mins to get our tickets for the skiing equipment. The classes was at noon so got few hours to explore the resort . Coming to what I did not know , you need to get a locker to keep your things which is a additional cost , along with getting the locker key you need to provide a document such as an Id card , passport and in the worst case they take your credit / debit card which is unsafe . Which also means you cannot buy anything within the park . There is a queue to get a locker and because of luck everyone just felt like skipping the queue and mentioning to the person incharge that they were there earlier . This entire process consumes roughly about 30-45 mins additionally and with a time limit that the park closes it means a lot. Mobile network at this place is limited . The restrooms could be maintained better .

Great place but make sure you reserve first or else you're stuck with just walking the grounds. Amazing menu, it's an experience for the senses. Great food, wine acompanied by a beautiful view of the Andes, there's nothing like it. Great service and I recommend buying their wine glasses at the gift shop and the olive oil. 🫒

We arrived there just on time for lunch. We were on one of the first tables to be seated. After choosing our menu and getting our first plate we realized that all the other tables had gotten some bread with some type of sauce. They forgot about us and totally pretended not to see that (even when they came to take the plates). The food is really good! But nothing special at all. I’d expect something more elaborated for this price (10,500.00 per person). The second thing that got me intrigued is that there was a street dog roaming around the restaurant and the waiters pretended that it was something normal. The dog was full of fleas and totally not taken care of. None of the waiters took the dog away (you would expect a high level restaurant not to have street animals roaming between the tables). At some point the dog even jumped on my GF and got her blouse mud dirty. The third and last thing was that there was SO MUCH trash on the grass. Pieced of paper, plastic, cigarettes. It seems like no one has ever cleaned that up. In the end, I’d recommend you to take the tour but eat somewhere else (maybe even better for that price tag). I didn’t enjoy it at all.

My wife and I had a fabulous time on a private tour at Bodega Salentein. Our tour guide, Marcelo, made the experience memorable with his passionate and knowledgeable presentation, and we felt so very welcomed. The six wines we tried were all excellent and each at the top of its class. Our favorite was the Numina Gran Corte, which is a blend of malbec, cabernet, merlot, cab franc, and petit verdot. The Primus malbec 2015 was excellent as well. The tour normally takes 1.5 hours but we got along so well with Marcelo, it was well over 2 hours and we were still in tasting room when Marcelo finally was asked to move on. Just to demonstrate the tremendous hospitality this Bodega shows its visitors. Would love to re-visit next time we're in Mendoza.

Amazing hike up to Confluencia. The round trip was about 6 hours, allowing for stops for photos, drinks and snacks. The views of Aconcagua and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. 5 stars for the park - 1 star for the reservation / payment / access process The access procedure is soooo complicated but absolutely worth it!. Please make sure to preregister your visit on the Parque Aconcagua site. When you get to the main entrance you will need this in order to pay your entrance to the park. Once the payment is completed then you have to go to the office next door to show proof of payment where you will receive the ticket to access the park. Honestly, too many steps that could be combined in just one. If you are driving, you will be able to access the park for around 1 km, then you will have a 15 minute walk to the first lookout at about 3,000 meters. From here you have an amazing view of the Aconcagua. For those fit individuals, you can keep walking for another 45 minutes to another lookout / bridge.

Great park, quick walks with great views of the Aconcagua. Friendly park staff, free bathrooms and it was also free to go up the road (Nov 2025)

Otherworldly landscape. Air is slightly thinner as hikes start nay 3000m. Be sure to bring cash to pay entry, it's possible to pay with card but they charge 20% more.
Sven R — Google review
Amazing landscape, you have to make a reservation in advance and check in when you arrive in the park but they provide you with a bag for garbage and some other useful information. Just be careful with the mean of transport if you're using the bus because they don't drop you off very close to the park entrance and you have to walk a few kilometers by the highway
Rareș M — Google review
Amazing park just on the east side of Andes mountains. The welcome center had very good and helpful information. The views are spectacular and breath taking. The hiking trails run for many kilometers and every step of the way was wonderful. Highly recommended you take extra water and a wind breaker because the winds sometimes can pick up. Fully enjoyed hiking here in view of the tallest mountain in South America.

Catena Zapata

Winery
Food & Drink
Catena Zapata is a renowned winery with a main building designed in Mayan style, famous for its high-altitude Malbec. Founded by Nicola Catena, an Italian immigrant, the winery initially adhered to ancient Italian traditions before transitioning to incorporate Californian-French techniques inspired by Napa Valley customs. Visitors have raved about their exceptional wine tours and tastings, praising the knowledgeable guides and top-notch experience.
Our favorite wine tour in Mendoza. The legendary winery and iconic structure are truly one-of-a-kind. We loved the wine blending class and learned so much from our fantastic host Paula. Her viticultural expertise and descriptive skill absolutely made the day. Make Catena Zapata a must-visit!
Kenny S — Google review
Visiting Catena Zapata was an extraordinary experience. They exemplify the clear vision of a family business committed to bringing Argentine wine to the highest level of quality, variety, and research, and sharing this with the world. The winery is an architectural gem that pays homage to the Mayan culture. Its wines are gems in Mendoza that deserve to be discovered and enjoyed. The hospitality team's attention was unbeatable. Pablo explained the wines with the passion any family member would have, but Daniel ultimately finished with a flourish by showing us a distillery that in five years will proclaim to the world that good things come to those who wait. Catena Zapata is a must-see if you come to Mendoza, and if not, it's worth the trip to experience this magnificent project, a blend of extraordinary wines, art, architecture, gastronomy, culture, and the finest people.

We contacted the winery directly via Whatapp a month prior and only a 9.30am tour was available in english, so I would suggest booking at least 2-3 months ahead! It was a very condensed tour which included a blending and tasting of 5 vineyard blocks of Malbec. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and we were able to purchase additional wine tastings from their enomatic dispensers in their store at the end of the tour.

I did the Spanish language “wine and music” tour with Joanna, it was an incredible experience delivered by such a passionate and knowledgeable guide. Spanish is not my first language but listening to Joanna was like watching a professional TV host - I could understand everything! Next, I’m a musician and was skeptical that the taste of wine could be influenced by music - but seeing is believing and I now know it’s true! What an eye opening experience. The wines were exquisite also. I Highly recommend the guided tour at this legendary winery.

My dream comes true 🥰 Amazing experience. Luxury place. We visited wine blending tour and it was unforgettable. Catena Zapata my favorite wine 🫶🏼🍷 Thank you so much for this wonderful time!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Catena Zapata tour with Daniel. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and responsive to every question we had. His dynamic storytelling made the experience both fun and informative. Daniel speaks perfect English and clearly has a wealth of experience and deep insight into the world of wine. I truly appreciated his passion and professionalism—it made the tour unforgettable.
Alexander P — Google review
Having been in other world known wineries in Ribera del Duero, Rioja, Napa, St Emilio’s, etc, Catena offers an interesting visit with small groups, beautiful tasting rooms, and a Tikal- inspired winery that’s very iconic compared to other wineries which don’t have an emblematic or special façade. However, for the price ($80 per person), not having some sort of food (except nuts), is surprising specially when other bigger more important wineries (such as Pago de Carraovejas) offer finger food for their own 2 star michellin restaurant for $60 per person. In a way it feels like a tourist trap.
Honest C — Google review
We had the pleasure of enjoying a private tour at the legendary Catena Zapata winery, and it was truly unforgettable. Danny guided us through the tour, sharing fascinating stories and history about the winery, which made the experience so engaging and special. The wine tasting with Carolina was equally amazing, her knowledge and passion made it even more enjoyable. To top it off, we visited the distillery beneath the Angelica Restaurant with Danny, where we discovered unique spirits. what an incredible experience! Thank you so much!

Water & Amusement Parks
Parque de Agua Termal - Termas Cacheuta is a stunning hot springs complex nestled amidst picturesque mountains in Mendoza. The facility boasts multiple pools, including some for adults only, as well as water slides and a water park during the summer months. Visitors can enjoy barbecue facilities and covered picnic areas, making it an ideal spot for families to spend the day. The natural hot springs offer varying temperatures, providing a relaxing experience for all guests.
Good place to relax. You can eat outside and return. As well, bring your food and drink to enjoy in a garden area on park.

Visited Parque de Agua in November. Booked via the official website. Entry for 2 people including a transfer from the centre of Mendoza. Here is my honest opinion. Transfer: Very easy, took a little over an hour to arrive at the park. Guides spoke Spanish, English and Portuguese. Location: The park is in a beautiful setting at the foot of the mountains. Venue: It was very busy; a lot of people in every pool. Lots of children. Not dirty but certainly not clean. We didn’t eat there because it was too busy. Lockers and robes are available but TAKE CASH. We managed to pay on card but we had to negotiate with one of the staff there to be able to pay for a locker on card. No sun loungers so don’t expect to be able to chill by the pool. Experience : It was ok. Go for 2 or 3 hours max. We left around lunchtime. It wasn’t the relaxing experience we hoped for. Worth a visit as it is a relatively cheap day but it was too busy for us. Wouldn’t go back.

We were here in August, it was pretty cold outside. The temperature of the baths inside was okay, but outside was pretty cold. Plus, there were too many people. There is no place to lock your stuff, so you always have to keep a look at your bags to make sure it's not stolen. They need to install lockers at the very least.
Konstantin M — Google review
It certainly is true that the place is stunning, however we did not have a nice experience. The thermal pools were completely cluttered: there wasn’t a pool in which I could bath and not be touching someone. Apart from that, the whole place was overcrowded. The bathrooms, extra pools, etc. I think that the even worst part of this experience was that the thermal pools were not even hot. They were simply like any other normal pool.
Ema D — Google review
The rooms were booked way in advance which meant either going to the water park or not going at all. Be warned that people get there before the opening time and start getting in line. By 10am the place is quite full. You may rent a bathrobe in case you don't have a towel. The interesting part was purchasing meat cuts and barbecuing it outdoors.
Natalia K — Google review
Fantastic place with natural hot springs, in the mountains. Many pools of different temperatures, with some for adults only. Water slides and water park features available in the summer months (October to April). Barbecue facilities on site (of course, this is Argentina!), covered picnic area. Really great place to spend the day with the family.
Christian H — Google review
Might be my bad luck , review is based on personal experience on the day.. whilst the setting is lovely, visit wasn't one to remember. There were so many groups of children with no control in how many people are allowed at the time it was impossible to enjoy. Every pool was full of kids, even what supposed to be an adult pool with staff nowhere to be seen to enforce this. I'd recommend management to think of some more staff at busy times to give a bit more comfort and safety to the visitors.
Jurgita V — Google review
Kids loved it. Great and beautiful location. We took Uber from Central Mendoza for $20 & the bus back at closing. You can bring all your own food & drinks and cook on outdoor grills. Great big lockers for backpacks. Highly recommend.

Bodega Ruca Malen is a renowned Andean winery celebrated for its exquisite Malbec and offers guided tours, wine tastings, and a restaurant that prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant has earned accolades such as the 2014 Global Winner of Great Wine Capitals Best of Wine Tourism award. Its menu is thoughtfully curated to complement seasonal changes and is meticulously reviewed by knowledgeable staff.
I visited Argentina as part of a birthday trip that included a dozen wineries between here and Chile, and this one was by far my most magical experience out of all of them. I decided to purchase the 7-course lunch and wine pairing, and to say the entire experience was perfect would be an understatement. From the moment I parked and arrived, I was greeted at the door by a friendly hostess. She invited me to explore the grounds and take some photos while they prepared the dining area. They have a very nice outdoor seating area and I took advantage of it to sit and relax and soak up the views. After, the hostess came back out to guide my to my choice of seating, and I picked a lovely table for two by the window. Let me just say that EVERY SINGLE PLATE was phenomenal. My only regret is that I could not finish it all, and since I was driving, I also could not finish all of my wine. That being said, everything was exquisite. The meat was cooked exactly how I like it, the wine was all terrific and paired perfectly with the corresponding dish, and the service was flawless. Every plate and every wine was explained to me so I knew what I was getting, and I was so very appreciative that they ensured my water glass was always full so that I could drink plenty of water for a safe journey back home. The whole experience is advertised as lasting three hours and it definitely does! Honestly, I would have stayed for four or five hours if I didn't have to leave after everything was finished. All the above alone would have been enough to make this experience a memorable one. But it went way beyond that. Last year I lost my fiance, and this trip was originally meant to be our honeymoon trip. I decided to instead make the trip a birthday trip, and I had my fiance's stuffed lion with me as a companion in his memory. Some people think this is a little weird, but everyone here absolutely loved him. They allowed me to share his story with them, and they welcomed him as if he were with me in person. As a surprise at the end of it all, they brought me out a birthday cake and candle. It was extremely thoughtful, and it was, by far, the most memorable part of my entire trip. It was so touching and meant so very much to me that I was in tears (good tears!) by the time I was leaving. Special thanks to Lety and Diana and all the hard-working staff at Ruca Malen. They are all amazing and I wish I could have stayed longer and spend the evening drinking wine in their kind company. If you are planning a trip to Mendoza and want to ensure yourself a fabulous experience, then you MUST make it a point to visit this winery, and do the 7-course lunch. You will ensure yourself a very memorable experience, and even better if you don't need to drive after. I loved it, and I know that if I am ever back in Mendoza, this will be the very first place on my list to come back to. I cannot recommend it enough, and will always be grateful for the meaningful and unforgettable experience I had here. 🤩

For the number of reviews I read ahead of time, I was somewhat underwhelmed by my experience at Ruca Malen, but I would still give 5 stars for the food, wine, and ambiance. The food was flavorful and well presented. The location of Ruca Malen is beautiful and the indoor seating offered great views of the Andes and vineyards. Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The wine pairings were great and well explained by servers. The price point is excellent for the amount of food and wine offered. A few minor details of the experience did not match the caliber I expected from the recent Michelin attention ie: the empanadas at our table were not hot, table settings were not spotless, and the meat was fatty. The pairings, sides, palate cleanser, and desserts were excellent and we had a great experience overall, but it lacked the wow factor for me.

Bodega Ruca Malen is an incredible experience. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. My wife and I were visiting Mendoza from New York City, and we dropped in (no reservation!) for a 7-course lunch with wine pairings. Let me tell you, it was one of the best meals we have EVER had. Each course of the meal was exquisite, and the chef's choices were unique, well-prepared, and incredibly flavorful. We had 5 different wines (whites and reds), and each wine was lovely and perfectly paired with each course. Our server and sommelier were highly attentive, incredibly knowledgeable, and kept our wine glasses full throughout the nearly 3 hour meal. In addition, the bodega is located inside a sprawling and gorgeous vineyard, with the Andes mountains in the background. Much of the staff spoke both English and Spanish. If you are in Lujan de Cuyo, you absolutely must stop by for lunch. You will be talking about this meal for days. If I lived in the region, I would come here at least once a month!
David S — Google review
My husband and I visited Ruca Malen during our honeymoon and WOW was it amazing. Our tour guide Soledad had so much passion for the wines and encouraged us to discover our own passions for each wine, taste, and our own perfect setting for each wine. The capitulo tres malbec might be the best I've had in South America, if not all of the America's. This is a once in a lifetime experience! Muchisimas Gracias Sole!
Ashton A — Google review
The whole experience is a tourist trap. The tour is quite short, and it doesn't do justice to the work of the land. The meals are nothing special, resembling what a typical Argentine family eats daily: beef and salad. While the wines are decent, you're paying a very high price for mountain views. Overall, it doesn't offer good value compared to other wineries in the region. Sorry, folks, but using the 'Michelin-nominated' label doesn't translate to a quality experience.
Graciela P — Google review
A wonderful lunch. We were very impressed with the food and the wine pairing. The staff were exceptional and really did a fantastic job. The only problem was maybe it was too much food, but we were able to deal with it! Could not be happier with our lunch. Seriously good value for money. Our server, Leticia was just wonderful.
Graham D — Google review
The place is heaven on earth. The floor seems a thick green carpet, the view of the mountains (still snowy in November!) and the beautiful weather made us have an exquisite experience. Nevertheless the food (although 6 pasos) was scarce and the wine was somewhat short (less than a glass every step of the way) for the AR$1,500 we paid per person. If you are lucky you get a nice waiter that serves you a bit more. Overall we had a great time. Arrive early as 12pm to get a table outside if the weather is nice.

Diana is precious! Such wonderful hospitality and very knowledgeable. We gave her tips about American wineries (California, Oregon, Washington, Finger Lakes region). She was so enthusiastic and inquisitive as were we about this area and history. Unfortunately we visited on Sovereignty Day and missed the restaurant being opened. However, very nice tour and tasting. Absolutely gorgeous property. The wine? Wow! Beautiful petit verdot and Cabernet franc. I have not personally had an Argentinian Pinot noir but I am now a huge fan. Thank you so much for a fun, beautiful, professional experience.

Casa Vigil (El Enemigo)

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Casa Vigil, also known as El Enemigo, is a renowned winery in Mendoza owned by Catena and winemaker Alejandro Vigil. The establishment offers an exceptional experience with detailed property tours and exquisite 7-course wine-paired tasting dinners. Visitors praise the impeccable service provided by knowledgeable staff members such as Alexandra, Sol & Ana. The menu includes options for both meat-eaters and vegans, all of which are described as outstanding.
We did a tour of El Enemigo on April 16/25. What a beautiful place to visit! This winery is a testament to the hard work of Alejandro Vigil and Adrianna Catena. The grounds are beyond beautiful... I kept thinking they should host weddings there... but that would take away from the serenity of the place. So much to see, including heaven and hell. And the wine! We really enjoyed our tastings. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and gracefully answered our many questions. We ended up purchasing several bottles..or cases (?) to bring back to Canada. We really enjoyed our experience there.

We visited this winery for lunch and wine tasting in March 2025 from the UK. The service, food and wine were all exemplary. They went completely out of their way to support me when I lost my passport, and even contacted the tourist police and liaised with them on my behalf. I cannot thank them enough and am incredibly grateful for their kindness and understanding. I can't wait to return in the future, and only wish I lived nearer! Highly recommend

Visiting Casa Vigil was an amazing experience. The place is beautiful, the food is delicious (and not too expensive for what it is) and the service is exceptional. Gian, Bruno, and the new sommelier (whose name I can't remember right now, sorry!) were super kind, knowledgeable, and just great to hang out with. To anyone visiting Mendoza and looking to drink some wine and have a good time, this is the place.

Outside: -5/10 Inside the restaurant: 15/10 Outside review: We arrived at 11:20am for our 11:30am reservation. We were told to take a seat outside and wine would be served to us while we waited…sounds lovely. However 30 minutes later, no wine, no tour, no communication. 45 minutes later…still nothing. 1 hour later we hunted down the hostess to tell her we had a 3:30pm reservation 45 minutes away and we were now concerned we would be late for it as we didn’t want to rush a Michelin star lunch. She said she would tell the restaurant of our timing needs and sat us at the restaurant with no tour. We still don’t know what happened and why we waited for an hour in the cold… Inside (restaurant) review: Literally the opposite of outside. WOW WOW WOW. The food!! The service!!! Leo is the king. His hospitality is genuinely unmatched. He went above and beyond so many times. I unfortunately missed the Som’s name but he might be my favorite som I’ve encountered in life so far- so knowledgeable, so approachable, soooo good at describing wines visually and verbally. And his energy is muy muy tranquilo in the best way. I’m not a big flesh person in general but the rib was EXQUISITE. Leo also brought us a little side of the pasta which was delectable as well. And the deserts were the icing on the proverbial cake. 10/10 for food, 20/10 for service. One more note against the host — she said she would let the restaurant know we were on a tight timeline (that she made tight, not us 🙄) and she didn’t. We let Leo know and he moved heaven and earth to get us our desserts and check in time to not be too late, but I *know* he would have timed us perfectly if she told him like she said she would. She did him and us a disservice. Also, nothing was ever said about the missed tour or the hour-long wait to be seated, but holy smokes did the restaurant work to turn our experience around. They deserve all of the stars. Now if only they could train the staff outside to be at their level… TLDR: We were there 3.5 hours and they had to RUSH our dessert because the hostess didn’t do her job. For an expensive meal (that was *incredible*), it’s rather inexcusable. I will update this review if they reach out in any way.
Dana B — Google review
Casa Vigil Mendoza felt more like a brand showroom since nothing is actually produced on-site. The visit was poorly organized and the tour was over in a flash. We tasted three wines and were given just two crackers with their olive oil. For 100 USD per person, it did not feel worth it, especially considering I visited other wineries in the area for half the price and enjoyed a much deeper, more engaging experience. Perhaps having lunch there during the tour, even at double the price, would have been a better choice.
Lucas C — Google review
One question: how does this place have a Michelin star??? Absolutely horrendous service and management. It’s a total tourist trap that’s not up to Michelin standards. I never leave reviews but this experience has compelled me to write this. Food wasn’t bad at all but it was way overpriced. We got our wine “pairings” an hour before each course came out. Is it normal to wait an hour between courses? Other tables took precedence over us, water refills were few and far between. The manager didn’t seem to care about making it right, only offered us to come back and try again. It’s one thing to suck but is another thing to suck and not attempt to make it right. Finally, we spoke to someone who was willing to take some accountability and apologize which was much appreciated. My wife and I will never recommend this place to anyone and specifically tell people to avoid it. We should have got a sandwich and bottle of wine from a kiosko instead.

We had a 3 course tasting with the 3 enemigos wine pairing for $130 each. The appetiser and main were amazing. The dessert was meh at best. I had the carpaccio and rib eye then the cheesecake. There is a sommelier on site to assist with your pairing or questions 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

A poetic trip from Aconaqua mountain range to Mendoze. Hypnotic landscape, vastness, desert feeling, great stop and lunch at Villavicencio

The place is beautiful. It’s definetelly one greener part of the Cordilleras in Mendoza. On the way there you cross some “villas” one part of the great Mendoza where you see more poverty and trash. It was a surprise to get there and see the mountains so narrowed and green, the first part of the way they look little away. You may prepare yourself and bring your snacks, the “restaurant” there is very basic, you may also want to arrive early to participate in the activities. You pay a ticket to have access to the hotel which is like 3 usd, but the activities prices varys up to 20usd .
Thaiara S — Google review
I think the ticket prices are very high, there is a beautiful view of the mountains, but there is nothing surprising or unusual here. Further on the free road you can see more beautiful and better landscapes

Nice place to visit, I think its a good option for families with children and for retired who enjoy a relaxing walk and a short guided tour around the hotel which is closed and abandoned. In my opinion the 350 pesos fee is quite expensive for what you receive.

Termas de Fiambala

$$$$affordable
Nature & Parks
Hot Springs & Geysers
Such hidden gem! More beautiful than hot springs / spas I have been to in Italy, Switzerland and Sweden combined! Make sure to buy the ticket in the town of Fiambala before going - the only way to buy the ticket at the entrance is with the app (but there is no reception) or to bribe the entrance guard ahaha). It is allowed to bring your own food and drinks so it’s worth coming prepared. Pools range between 35-45 degrees and are very clean! Absolutely marvelous!

Absolutely amazing experience. There are a lot of thermal pools. Each one warmer than the other. There are tables with chairs where you just rest or pick up you meals while sighting the amazing views. You can spend all the day there. The ticket should be get it in advance... In the tourist office Fiambalá town. It's worth it. Really.

A jewel in the middle of the mountains. Ten natural pools of thermal waters 30 minutes drive from the Town of Fiambala IN Catamarca province. A MUST while visiting Argentina. Remember to call the city hall of Fiambala to reserve your spot. The complex is open from 8am to 10pm during summer. Please refer to their website or call since hours of operation and reservation may vary.

Beautiful thermal pools! Expensive for international tourists ($12.000pp - €12.80). Buy the tickets in the tourist info centre at the main square in Fiambala.

Quilmes Ruins

Sights & Landmarks
Quilmes Ruins, located in the Calchaqui Valleys of Argentina's Tucuman province, is a significant pre-Columbian settlement. At an elevation of 2000 meters, this archaeological site was once home to the Quilmes tribe and covers 30 hectares at the foot of Cerro Alto del Rey. The ruins date back to 850 AD and offer insight into the daily life and rituals of this ancient community.
An incredible place to visit and learn about the magnificent culture and history of the Quilmes. There is a great museum on-site with artifacts in several exhibitions and some interactive displays too. A great, short movie detailing the Quilmes is shown throughout the day. Outside of the museum are the ruins, a mixture of reconstructed works and original structures. It is wonderful to explore the ruins and climb high onto the mountain they called home. Toilets, shops and some basic eateries can be found outside. Entrance fees vary depending on nationality, with foreigners paying a little more but very reasonably priced. They accept both cash and card. Definitely worth a trip here.

Sept.25: After a scenic drive we arrived @Ruins of Quilmes. We paid entrance fee of ARS12.000 = €7.50 p.p. This was for museum, archeological site as well as for the perfectly clean toilets with even the possibility to have clean drinking water. Fernanda who spoke really good English explained the 4 rooms of the museum. Nr. 3 would have an interactive video in about 15 minutes & would telll us all about the histtory, living, war, defeat & captivation of the Quilmes people. Nr. 1 & 2 were informative with headphones for English, Spanish or Portuguese. Nr.4 was an exhibition of artifacts. @site there were huge cacti. We went all the way up to the Northern viewpoint; we spend here a bit more than 3 hours.

The place features some of the best views you will get in Argentina. For starters, I didn't expect the museum to be so modern. The people in the stores and the guides were very nice and friendly as well. I climbed 300 meters (about 1000 feet) following the old tracks built by the ancient townsfolk. I must admit, they had a remarkably robust way of building things as all the stone stairs are still there and quite firm. However, some areas of the track are unstable, so you need to wear proper mountain shoes and mind your step as you could easily slip and fall. Also, lots of wasps on the way, so keep that in mind if you are afraid of them like I am x-x Lots of tourists too, but it seems to be quieter during the mornings.

A great place to visit ... the access road is a little rough, but worth it. Do not, under any circumstances, miss out on the musuem here - it was beyond all our expectations. The displays were incredibly informative, and so well put together. There is little shade, so make sure to have lots of water with you as you walk around.

Amazing place, 7k to get in (UK citizen), stunning views from the southern and northern view points. Museum didn't have power when I was there so could not go inside.... The road to the site is poor quality. Hopefully they will pace it soon.

Beautiful place! There is the option to take a guide with you or go by yourself. The little museum is pretty modern and has English subtitles too. There’s a few shops and good bathrooms. We even saw a few lama’s there. We had low expectations for this place, but they were totally met! 🦙

Amazing site, a massive pre-incan citadel and sacred city, the biggest and best preserved in Argentina. The museum attached to it is very informative and sets the scene for visiting the site itself.

Museums
Casa Histórica - Museo Nacional de la Independencia, also known as the House of Independence, is a significant colonial-era building in San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina. It played a pivotal role in Argentina's history as it was the site where the country declared its independence from Spain in 1816. Despite facing years of neglect and subsequent reconstruction, this historical house still stands as a testament to colonial architecture and the events that shaped Argentina's destiny.
📅 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁: 8/11/2022 💬 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 - 5 Came here as we had a layover for the bus at the terminal, and realized all this time I've been in Tucuman, I hadn't seen la casa historica... the Independence Hall of Philadelphia for Argentina. 🗺️ 𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 - 5 La Casa Historica has a superb location near downtown, which is closed off to thru traffic, which I actually prefer for easy walking. 💲 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗘 - N/A There was no price to enter, it was free to the public, during typical business hours. 🏛️ 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧/𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘 - N/A Not much of any services rendered, as it is a historical site. 📢 𝗣𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦/𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗞𝗦 - N/A Be sure if you don't speak Spanish that you have a translator, as it can be hard to understand everything. 💁‍♂️‍ 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗬𝗘𝗘𝗦 - N/A Didn't really interact with any employees, but we did see two tranditional soldiers, that are similar to the British soldiers around the the queen's castle, they don't interact, they're primarily there for show.

It is one of the most emblematic buildings in the history and culture of Argentina. Although throughout its long history it has undergone many modifications, and one could say that little remains of its original construction, this does not take away its historical and symbolic value. It is recommended to visit it with the guided tours and the night show, which offers a historical overview of the independence struggle. This show lasts approximately half an hour and it is necessary to register in a list. Entrance is free.

Icon of tucuman and it makes a lot of sense to Argentiniana though it could be better explained for foreigners.

Interesting place, well explained though in Spanish only. From a historical point of view, the account in the museum is accurate, balanced, and asks a lot of fascinating questions. Unless the debate republic vs monarchy, central vs federal, self government vs independence. Unfortunately it's all text, there's hardly any multimedia material except intro to the 29 representatives who signed the declaration of independence.
