Another very good beach ⛱️ we made kano and it was awesome 👌
Zehra Ü — Google review
Popular beach in the area to watch the sunset, lots of people having a drink and enjoying it. Water was fairly warm, waves very small, slight pebbly section at the water's edge but after that 5 metre stretch, all sandy.
Rishi B — Google review
A Nice colorful, beautiful small beaches and a super place to swim ! Small hotell and Nice places to eat!❤️
Ann P — Google review
Cool just to see the beach on the other side, the town and maybe a sunset. But as a beach, it's much better to go to resende, tiririca and ribeira. The sand here has a dirty-looking aspect and the beach feels crowded really fast. Not much space.
V. L — Google review
It's the perfect beach for you if you want to swim. There is a lot of bars for you to sit and ask food or a drink but there is also space on the sand if you want to have a nice and tight tan.

Itacarezinho Beach

Mentioned on
+28 other lists
Beach
Nature & Parks
Itacarezinho Beach is a tropical paradise located on Ilhe Itacare road, 15 km from the city center. This 3.5 km long beach is surrounded by coconut trees and features powdery white sand and a freshwater stream cascading down from the hill onto the beach. It's known for its good waves, making it a popular spot for surfing. To reach this picturesque destination, visitors can either walk down the hill or drive through private property.
This spot is as close to heaven as you can get here on earth. Be sure to stop at the Mirante on the way down for a beautiful photo. If you have the money, you can rent a gorgeous cabana, but be prepared to open up your wallet. It’s about $300R per person. $250R comes back in food and drinks. The second option is $300R total for chairs, an umbrella, pizza and a few beers. My best recommendation is solid footwear for the walk (10 mins downhill and 15 mins uphill), carry your Havianas, and bring water, snacks, and towels. You can also hike to another nearby beach on a trail should you choose. Last great perk, you can rinse off in a fresh water waterfall coming from the nearby river. Totally worth the trek.
Adrienne M — Google review
Very beautiful and quiet beach. You can get there by walking through the club, leaving your vehicle on the roadside. If you want to go down, they charge R$350 per person, which will be converted into consumption. We used the entrance fee and it wasn't worth it. I recommend walking down as access is quick and safe. There's a very good pizzeria on the beach that doesn't charge for food and costs R$80 for a pizza for two people. They also rent chairs, but as there are lots of coconut palms, a canga on the beach with the shade of these trees will take the edge off the sun.

One of the best beaches in Itacaré. You can either leave your car at the entrance and walk down to the beach or park inside the property at a cost. Itacarezinho isn't usually crowded. In case you don't have a beach chair or a parasol, you can rent them from the only kiosk you'll find on the premises. There is also a minimum spending requirement restaurant.

The most fascinating place in town, a show in itself. The architecture is awesome, and the location, just on the brink of a lovely public garden, makes it a place to visit even without attending the performance. Great!

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Mirante do Mangabeiras, located in Belo Horizonte, is a popular observation point that offers stunning panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. Initially established in 1976, it has evolved into a significant tourist attraction over the years. Accessible by both driving and hiking, this elevated site provides an ideal vantage point for capturing breathtaking sunset vistas and urban landscapes.
Free and open to the public. Very fun and cool ride up to the look-out in the first place. Pay attention to the awesome houses and first glimpses that you get of the skyline before getting up. At the look-out itself you have a wonderful view that all visitors to Belo Horizonte should take the time to see. The city is immense and it’s really cool to see it all laid out before you and the scope of the hills and all. Super cool. There isn’t anything else in the park right now so you can see it all as fast or as slow as you want.
Miguel S — Google review
Mirante do Mangabeiras is an absolute gem in Belo Horizonte! Located at the edge of the Serra do Curral, this scenic overlook offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city —especially stunning at sunset. It’s a peaceful and well-maintained spot, perfect for photos, relaxation, and connecting with nature. The walkway and viewing platforms are safe and accessible, and there’s often a refreshing breeze that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for visitors and locals alike who want to experience BH from above!
Arto L — Google review
Nice place to watch the sunset, rather simple and most of the time crowed, but the view is worth it.

We went here for a lovely end to the day during a birthday celebration for my husband - 30 years! It was so inspiring and beautiful. Everyone there was in awe of the cloud and the view created by the Almighty! The birds are singing, and there was a crowd of interesting black birds with red spots in their necks. It feels like nature can rest here! And we can, too. If you are looking for a peaceful addition to your date or family outing, look no further!
Liza P — Google review
Very lovely and beautiful place, the view was gorgeous and we are able to see most of the city, the mist might have been heavy, but it was a very nice view, the pictures can be great, I totally recommend it especially in group.
Aneldo A — Google review
Who doesn’t like view points !!! From this place we can visualize the city of Belo Horizonte and enjoy its view. We don’t need any tickets to purchase. It’s absolutely free. We cannot drive with car to this point; we need to park the car at the entrance and walk a bit. The sunset from this point will be stunning and worth the visit.
Gautama R — Google review
GREAT SUNSET VIEWS!!! If you want to get the views of entire Belo Metropolis area while enjoying the stunning sunset, this is the place for you. The park is open from Dusk to Dawn. The gated location is easily accessible by Uber followed by a short walk to the viewing area. There is no entry fee for the park! The area is clean, safe and family friendly. However the only thing missing is there are no food stalls. So plan to bring drinking water and snacks to enjoy with the view! There are public restrooms but those are not too clean either. Overall a little inconvenient but the views definitely make up for it!
Gaurav S — Google review
Amazing views of the city, a taste of exclusive lifestyle passing nearby manicured villas, and an exhilarating zipline jump, for about R$60 if you dare! The Mirante is free to the public, had public bathrooms, and nearby vendors selling snacks and drinks. A very hilly climb up from the Parque das Mangabeiras, so drive, or wear comfortable shoes.

(Translated by Google) Tiradentes Square – Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais Tiradentes Square, the heart of Ouro Preto, is one of those places that blends architectural beauty with undeniable historical significance. Surrounded by colonial mansions, museums, and charming restaurants, it's the ideal starting point for exploring the city. But be careful: behind the hustle and bustle of tourists and selfies with the statue of Joaquim José da Silva Xavier, there's a story that deserves to be told more accurately than textbooks usually portray. History Beyond the Statue Many people believe that Tiradentes was executed there, in the square itself, but this is not true. In reality, he was hanged in Rio de Janeiro in 1792. What happened in Ouro Preto (then Vila Rica) was the public display of parts of his body as a form of intimidation against those who sympathized with the Minas Gerais Conspiracy. One of the places chosen for this "demonstration" was precisely this square, where his imposing statue, erected in the early 20th century, now stands. Another curious and little-known detail: the popular image of Tiradentes, with his long hair and thick beard, is more of a constructed symbol than an accurate portrait. At the time, political prisoners had their heads shaved as a form of humiliation and punishment. In other words, the current image was inspired more by the figure of Christ, to reinforce the "martyr" character of the inconfidente, than by any real record. Practical tips for your visit The square is surrounded by important tourist attractions, such as the Inconfidência Museum, the Science and Technology Museum of the School of Mines, and several shops selling crafts and local products. In terms of dining, there's no shortage of good options: restaurants, cafes, and bars in the surrounding area cater to everyone from those seeking a typical Minas Gerais lunch to those simply looking for a good coffee or craft beer. If you're arriving by car, be patient. Parking there is a near-epic task, especially on weekends and holidays. The best tip is to arrive early—very early. After 10 a.m., the spaces on the nearby streets are usually already occupied. Another option is to use the paid parking lots nearby or even park your car a little further away and walk. Conclusion Tiradentes Square isn't just a postcard—it's a place for reflection on Brazilian history, full of layers and contradictions. It blends the baroque charm of Ouro Preto with a turbulent past that still echoes in the cobblestones. It's worth sitting on a bench, watching the world go by, and letting history (and the smell of cheese bread wafting from the nearby eateries) do its work. Just don't forget comfortable shoes: the hills come right after.

Excellent person and professional! I have already tried the Samadhi Striking method and it is very powerful because it is possible to release my stress with the training and calm myself with the meditation at the end of the session. I highly recommend it!

Highly recommend. Compelling story-telling about early colonial and revolution history. Signs have English translations which are a bit archaic, and hard to understand, but give a basic story.

Igreja de Santo Antonio

Catholic church
Igreja de Santo Antonio, also known as Igreja Matriz de Santo Antonio, is a stunning church in Tiradentes. Named after the town's patron saint, it was designed by Aleijadinho and boasts a magnificent interior adorned with gold and Old Testament symbolism. The church features a remarkable polychrome organ from Portugal and seven golden phoenixes hanging from braided chains. Outside, there is a famous sundial dating back to 1785.
Gorgeous church, covered with gilded gold. Every detail is a joy to examine. Make sure to note the imported Portuguese organ.
Josiah W — Google review
Standing before a centuries-old church is always an impressive experience, evoking thoughts of the countless people who have been there before us. The building itself, with its towering structure and rich history, carries with it both light and shadow. While it has been a symbol of suppression at various points in history, it has also been a place of belonging and hope for those seeking solace and a better afterlife. This blend of dark history and spiritual refuge speaks to the deep and complex role the church has played in people's lives over the centuries.
Ulf D — Google review
Very beautiful, old colonial church. The R$10 seems steep for what it is though and the amount of tourists moving through. Occasionally closed for weddings etc. but this isn't well advertised.

Mirante dos Canyons de Capitólio is a must-see attraction in the Capitolio area, offering breathtaking views and refreshing waterfalls where visitors can swim. The entrance fee may seem a bit pricey, but the infrastructure includes restrooms, safe walkways around the canyons, and a restaurant with stunning views. Additionally, there's an exhilarating zipline adventure across the canyon for thrill-seekers. Visitors can also enjoy boat rides to see the cascades from below.
Such a beautiful amazing place! The two waterfalls are one of the coolest I have ever seen! You can go to multiple viewpoints from the top which you have to pay to get in and then walk around to the various points. There’s a place to get food, a gift shop, and a place to buy drinks.

Must see in Capitólio. The entrance is not cheap (80 reais, you can get a 20% discount if you book online) but worth every real. Incredible views and very refreshing waterfalls where you can swim. We were told that one ticket is valid for 3 following days. We'll check if it works. 😉

Not worth R$40. The view is pretty, but the natural pools are nothing special and you will have to wait in line to enter. At most, you can spend 15 minutes in the pools and 30 minutes on the trail. Also, the lady with the megaphone at the pools is very rude to visitors.

It was OK but not that much of a thing to see you have to pay to get a good photo photo it was around 5reais The cable car is not working now so if you want to try the cable car you have to wait-a-bit more It's also not easy to park
Amy H — Google review
Beautiful view in a place that could get potential to be better. We climbed to the elephant's hill using the scared cable car, I believe its was created with the city and never modernized. My husband, who is Canadian, liked the experience more than I did. He was scared but he found excited at the same time. I think that because I have already been to Campos do Jordão several times, I think at this point the city, which seems to be very rich looking at the hotels in the area and people who frequent it, should have already renovated that a long time ago and have made something much better and more attractive, as the other countries that have mountains for Ski. I think don’t need to be exactly the same, but Mount Tremblant in Quebec also has a small area up hill and its not so fancy, but little more attractive and safe. Anyway, the view is very beautiful and we can see the whole city, mountains and part of the other surrounding regions. When we get up there again, the attractions could be much more elaborate and modernized giving opportunity to locals to get better jobs, show a nicer view and give to the city, locals and visitors a better structure. I think the place with elephants is a good idea, especially for children, but they could modernize it and charge a little for the entrance to maintain the place. They also could make a kind of a little mall where people could expose their crafts making their products more attractive and a nice cafe or restaurant with a lookout ... Anyway, use a little of the American style of exposing your business, which could be better for everybody. If I had money to invest, that unfortunately is not the case at the moment, I would probably organize people and get that changed for the benefit of all city and visitors. Grade: Eli = 3, Serge = 3 Recommend: It’s worth for the Mountain View.

Ducha de Prata is a popular tourist spot in Campos do Jordao, featuring man-made waterfalls and showers accessible via wooden decks. The water supply comes directly from the natural waterfalls of Ribeirao de Perdizes. Visitors can stroll along the wooden bridges, listen to the soothing sounds of the waterfall, and explore nearby souvenir stalls offering various items such as clothing, chocolates, and crafts.
Another tourist attraction in Campos de Jordão and one of the best for sure. A small waterfall with walking areas and platforms designed to get the best picture possible. Lots of small shops and restaurants around as well as tourism buses departing and arriving here. This park was absolutely beautiful and worth the 40 Reis entrance fee. The gardens were all well-maintained. The views of the surrounding valleys were spectacular. It's an easy stroll through the park, and there's even a maze to navigate through. There are various plants to see and coy fish in the ponds. And there's a tree house you can visit. The view at the end is stunning, and we were lucky to go on a day when the Minas Gerais side was clear and the São Paulo side was very foggy—simply incredible. Note that you need to purchase your ticket online, and there are fixed entry times.

(Translated by Google) Without a doubt, the best trail in Monte Verde. The area is very well maintained by private initiative, with excellent upkeep, clear signage, security, and guidance before the start of the trail, making the entrance fee worthwhile. It's the most suitable option for families, especially older people and children, as the route is easy and accessible. The Platô trail, while very beautiful, is much steeper, more rugged, and longer, requiring physical preparation and extra attention. I recommend both, but each is suited to a different type of visitor and fitness level.

Parking is charged, but on a day with little traffic, it's possible to leave your car on the access road to the trail. (Original) Vista incrível!!! Very Nice Plaza to walk and look at nature. You can see closely local fauna such as Capivaras and birds. As well it has a nice lake. There were a balloms event that day.

It's nice, but it could be nicer and more beautiful. Also, it seems like a place with a lot of potential, but its ruler isn't taking advantage of it.

Where: Praça Adhemas de Barros, Aguas da Lindoia What: A public park How was it: A nice quiet place for a walk, enjoying the animals or water running. This is where you can take the ''locomotive'' to visit the small Christ statue in Lindoia. They also have sugarcane juice if you want to try it out. Grade: Eli = 4, Serge = 4 Recommend: Yes, when in Lindoia (which is a rather small place) you should check this place out.

Jabaquara Beach

Beach
Nature & Parks
Compact, sandy palm-fringed cove with seafood shacks & snack bars, plus rental umbrellas & chairs.
The staff are great. The manager is very accommodating. When I arrived with a Dome bike, he asked for my battery so I can charge it. Gabriel speaks English, he made sure my orders are well-taken care of. Welyngton is a great Chef. He prepared my Asinha do Frango (Buffalo Wings), one of the best I had (the sauce is very Asian which suited my taste, I am Asian). My 2-hour stay after cycling from the Ferry was worthwhile because of the quality of service this beach restaurant offers. 2 thumbs up!
Reyno A — Google review
In my opinion one of the best beaches you can reach by car on Ilhabela. Better than this would only be Castelhanos.
Francisco P — Google review
Beautiful beach in the north side of Ilhabela. Access via an unpaved road
Marcos S — Google review
Really nice beach, standing out from southern ones. Can be reached by regular cars, despite the final 4 km of dirt road. Two big paid parking areas almost by the beach. Well served with a restaurant and beach vendors. Tons of blackflies, though: make sure to take any body oil to spread, which is the only effective protection against them - insect repellents only lasts few minutes.
Eduardo O — Google review
Covered in plastic seats, no decent food options, the only one available is too expensive for what it offers. And make sure to put on repellent otherwise you get butchered by some nasty insects. Road there is pretty unaccessible too if you don't have a 4×4. Not worth it.
Daniela C — Google review
Nice and beautiful beach, the way to get there isn't easy, though. Also, on rainy days, it requests special attention and it wouldn't be recommendable for drivers without experience
Yuri D — Google review
Really beautiful beach! Less crowded than some of the others. Worth a visit, even with the sand flies. The road is more easily acessible than I was expecting.
Kirstin R — Google review
One of the best beaches and we enjoyed a really sunny day. But make sure you carry enough repellent

The windmill features 39-foot blades and offers visitors the opportunity to explore its 10 floors, including a viewing deck with stunning panoramic views. Such a beautiful touristic place from Holambra, must be visited, on or off season it is always a beautiful place, a piece of Netherland in Brazil, a lot of flowers and plants, beautiful architecture and easy access
Renner P — Google review
Highly recommend viewing this windmill and the beautiful area around it.
Will R — Google review
What beautiful place to visit and spend some time enjoying the natural beauty and the rich traditional architecture the place provides you with. It makes you feel like never leaving the place and better yet, everything was free. Plus you leave with some awesome pics to post on your social media. I 100% recommend visiting this place at least once. Sadly, it was closed during my visit.
Maurício A — Google review
Such an interesting construction. You will have the chance to see how traditional mills work on the inside and, at the same time, have a great view of Holambra.
Thiago B — Google review
Cute place to visit. Such a unique feel and the architecture is very different than the other parts of Brazil we saw. The windmill spins on top and we were fortunate to see it happen. Quiet place to spend a couple of hours. I believe there are shops there that open but we came at a time they were closed.
Cameron O — Google review
The park around it is very pleasant. The windmill itself is beautiful, the staff working there very helpful and friendly. It is an interesting place to visit and learn a little more about this piece of engineering!
Alex G — Google review
Good place to visit and to help community to make the windmill works back again. Good view from upper floor!

Such a beautiful place. With very friendly locals. I can't wait to visit again. With love from South Africa. ❤️

What I liked: - the town and the beach looked reasonably not too crowded, allowing us to find easily space for ourselves on the beach and at the restaurant What I did not like: - the town is in fact just a short road with some bars and restaurants, but there is not a real attraction to visit after the beach.
Andrea R — Google review
Nice beach with some structure and some beach-facing things like restaurants. > Traffic to arrive may be terrible, so pay attention to the period you're visiting. Going on off-season periods is better. > It's not the cleanest beach, but water is good enough for swimming. > You will need to consume (eat or drink) to rent the umbrella and chairs. When I went there it was BRL30 consumption per person. > In comparison to other local beaches, I felt very safe in there. People were friendly and never hostile in any sense.

We had so much fun! Practically had the place to ourselves. The animals were active. An amazing zoo!

Amazing place to go with your family specially if you have kids, they will love it. The trails is quit long for small child's and they don't have accessibility, or if you go with a small kids you will have to carry them during some stages of the trail, but apart of it is an excellent place to visit. I recommend to arrive after lunch in hot days, you will need around 3 hours to do the course. It has a restaurant and cafeteria to eat.
Marcello C — Google review
Great place to bring children or for photographic safari if you like to make photos from wildlife under more controlled circumstances. Highly recommended!
Osvaldo C — Google review
Very good place. The enclosures can always be better in a Zoo, but they seem to treat the animals with respect and the place is very beautiful.

Parque Portugal - Lagoa do Taquaral

City park
Nature & Parks
Parque Portugal, also known as Lagoa do Taquaral, is a renowned city park that features a stunning lagoon and a variety of attractions for visitors to enjoy. The park boasts beautiful trees and flowers of all kinds and is home to families of geese, ducks, and capybaras.
The best park! It was a very hot day but the park is so greeny. I walked in a shade of those big trees, met couple of capybaras enjoying their weekend. The most iconic seems to be a big Protugese style boat at the north of the park.
Borworn B — Google review
Nice park. I liked how the streets were closed off for a running event. It was a nice run around the beautiful streets and lake. Plenty of vendors for some refreshments.
Dave H — Google review
Nice park. Lots of cool local flora and lots of cappybara running around. The little food stands are also nice. We got coconut water and some ice cream and both were delicious. The panda statues at the playground are pretty creepy though...
Brandon S — Google review
If you love capybaras, you can't find a better place to go. Dozens of these friendly rodents roam around the lake. They won't let you touch them or even feed them, but they will let you pretty close. I have a video about it on my YT channel: Curves on the road
Jana C — Google review
Better with family. This is an excellent spot for running, offering wide and varied trails with spots of shade at all times of day, the path was not paved in all places and so it may be muddy in the rain. There is a big ship to explore and beautiful plants. There were paddle boats but they had a cost to try. And some play equipment for kids. Depending on your disposition, this may not be the best place to go if you have limited time. There is not much that distinguishes it from any other large park in the world and it is not well maintained. It was hot and few places to buy water so come prepared.
Benjamin S — Google review
A nice (green) park, kinda small one but still nice, well kept, kids friendly, well located, overcrowded in weekends, parking may be troublesome.
Woody A — Google review
This is a very big park, with no entrance fee! I was impressed to see capybaras chilling everywhere. There is a Planetarium, but i advise to first check out the opening hours. There's a huge ship you can get on and several food stalls with delicious snacks.
Noelia C — Google review
Definitely my favorite park in Campinas! Amazing green scenery views, river, trees, capybaras everywhere. Delicious Açaí and ice cream are the bonus. Very clean and animal friendly park. There are many street cats but they love people and people take care of them too. One of my father in law's cats is from this park and he named her "Serena".
