The crew was attentive and kind providing us with drinks throughout the day and helping whenever needed. Carlos, the owner, made us feel welcome. Very nice flotation down the river and they have a big blue pool with fish to swim in. Buffet restaurant is a handy place for lunch given the limited local food options. If you are only going to one place I would choose the Rio Triste but it's a close call and here is easier to get to from town, just a short drive.

Nice place but very expensive for the experience you get. Other than the lady on reception, all the other staff were very rude, calling us Gringos, giving us the wrong size shoes and then giving us smaller and smaller ones when we were asking for bigger ones just to be awkward, and rushing us. If you don't speak Portuguese, you won't understand any of the instructions. The guide was also taking the piss touching all the women "making sure their life jackets were on properly", not ok. The swimming part was nice but the service was bad. You have to book in advance especially on weekends.

Imagine the situation, it was both disgusting and even scary. We were the only guests there, and we had to handle the situation carefully. As it happens, this man's bedroom was next to the ladies shower. I went upstairs to his bedroom and eventually found our that through a tiny slot between the roof and the thin wall, a phone could be introduced and the shower at the other side filmed from a perfect angle. The perpetrator had just enough time before I reached out to him to wipe his entire gallery off (when I reached to his phone the gallery app was still busy deleting files). We've been to this location in the past and really enjoyed the trail that leads to the river and the many different spots along the river you can swim in. Our most recent visit was a bit frustrating in that some of the options we had experienced before were no longer available, especially the "mud bath". Overall the experience was quite positive but the price we paid does not seem to reflect the limited options that are available at the moment.

Really nice place, very laid back. Lots of open space and can walk down to the river through the forest. We went for a short kayak on the river, just a few hundred metres but saw a massive anaconda wrapped around a caiman. Had a swim from one of the decks along the river and fed the fish. They also have floating down the river but did not have time for this. As with all the local attractions you need to buy tickets form an agency in town.
