Well. Its a very working class family beach. It does not offer anything but its natural beauty and even so the place deserve better maintenance. Its unpleasant to see so much trash along the beach and on the trails. Perhaps investing in general education towards environmental preservation and the importance of recycling.

Nice natural beach with decent views of the surrounding nature and the coast across, but more for a walk as water was cold. Abandoned infrastructure so bring your own food and drinks. Some strange characters were camping and others playing fishermen when i was there so i would not go alone, especially as a female.

I can’t recommend apuama rafting enough! Me and a friend traveled about an hour from where we were staying in Florianopolís. We came from outside the country and both found the guides both knowledgeable of the river and extremely accommodating. Even if you have to drive a ways this was the best rafting experience I’ve had in my life. Awesome time on the river and 10/10 would go again any day

We did a different route due to the weather but it was really fun! Our guide was great and very experienced. 100% recommend :)

We (foreigners) were told it costs 300 reais per person round trip to the island. When we said we don't have that much cash, they lowered it to 200 reais per person (Feb 2022). Still expensive based on other comments here, but I guess that's the price you pay for not being brazilian.

Nice food plaza, but confusing floor layout. Has good and reasonably priced clothing, shoes and electronic apparel. Good for doing monthly shopping, because of the associated supermarket (which has very interesting prices).

There are car parks nearby and they cost around R$10/20 per day but you can also park on the street and it will be fine. Some car parks have showers and toilets included on these prices. The boards are in good condition here and the staff is helpful. They also give you wax so the board can get more speed. The beach is nearby and you can get there walking. If the temperature is less than 25 degrees the water might be cold and it might bring jelly fishes. There are restaurants and bars in there. The dunes are just perfect and the moisture from the sea helps it to be in the best condition. Do not buy water from the place in front of it as it tastes like swage and it looks like they have bottled it themselves.

With that being said the trails and vibe of the beach really do make it special - it’s quite a gypsy beach (if you like that kind of thing) and there is always waves so for surfing it’s good (swimming not so much)

Absolutely splendid place! I spent my honeymoon there and I had the best time of my life. Lots of activities, super chill vibe and safe. You can go scuba diving on the little island in the horizon I've met so many nice people there and there's a big lgbt and hippie community, which is where the fun is at. No matter how you look like, you'll feel included. There's also professional surfers and fishermen as well , all sorts of cool people. Let's not forget how AMAZING the fish is at the little food place on the beach Absolutely recommend it

It's always calm, offers a great view of the mainland, and a beautiful sunset. The sea is shallow for a long stretch, with short waves. Great for bringing children. You can get there by car, but make sure you can navigate through very, very steep hills, especially on the way back. The road is narrow, passing just one car in a few places. Bad if you are the one coming up and need to stop to let the other driver go through. You can also park before the mount, and walk through the Fortress to get to the beach. There are a few restaurants offering seafood. Nothing fancy, but always good and fresh. Recommended.
