Beiral is located at the very point of the promontory and offers a superb view. We have gone there for many (20+) years and enjoyed the ambience and food. The service, while friendly enough, was always slow and spotty, but the food was good, especially the broths (caldos). In recent times, the place has deteriorated. They inexplicably decided to take up some of the choicest space up front with a kiddie pool that fills up with screaming children and some scrawny dog roams the premises, begging at tables. Customers are also allowed to bring lap dogs into the restaurant and their incessant yapping is blithely tolerated. The owners need to decide who they wish to serve: Humans or dogs. The place next door has the same view, similar service and food, but is cleaner.

They only offer 1 sample for their cachaça range and it was very disappointing as we were expecting to try at least a couple or 3 of them to decide which ones to buy. I have been told that in past you had the option to do exactly that and actually try multiple samples of different types of cachaça. I am giving 3 stars instead of 2 just because the place looks pretty and instagrammable, although not worth the 25 reais entry fee.
Nice place to visit and see production of chachaca. Some samples are provided for the $R10 admission. The tour was poorly organized. Nice lake with boats there! There are vendors lining the road before entry to the engenho, so beware of them before you do the tour. Ice cream was different.

* Foi um verdadeiro reencontro de alma, pois sou campinense e revisitar a cidade despertou muitas memórias especiais dos tempos em que ali morei por longos 18 anos.
* Visitamos o Açude Velho, que para mim é o cartão postal mais bonito de Campina Grande. O local é lindíssimo, bem no coração da cidade. O calçadão ao redor do açude é bastante utilizado para caminhadas, corridas e ciclismo, eventos, oferecendo um espaço seguro, amplo e agradável para quem gosta de atividades físicas ao ar livre.
* A natureza ao redor, a vista dos prédios e o pôr do sol incrível tornam o lugar ainda mais especial. É fácil entender por que é um dos principais pontos turísticos da cidade. Além da paisagem, há locais históricos ao redor, dois museus e o Parque da Criança nas proximidades. Também há baias de estacionamento, o que facilita bastante a visita. Muitos restaurantes, bares e quiosques.
Vale muito a pena conhecer ou revisitar. Um verdadeiro símbolo de Campina Grande, que rende ótimas fotos e memórias.

Nice museum designed by Oscar Niemeyer. When we visited only a third of the building was showing art, the other two, they were preparing for the June party. The art we saw was mainly about screen printing of art. This place has free entrance. Lastly, a good view over the lake.

The prehistoric carvings were done over time and the most recent additions may have been added as recently as the 18th Century—all done by local native tribes.
The meaning and/or purpose of these carvings is unknown and undeciphered. Some of the carvings resemble animals, fruits, the Orion Constellation and other less-easily distinguishable figures.
The carvings are also known as the Itacoatiara do Ingá (pronounced: “EEta- cwa – tiara”), which is the name in the Tupi language of the original natives. “Ita” means stone and “coatiara” means picture.
This is not the only such site with carvings in this part of Brazil, but it is one of the biggest. Still, when we visited, there was nobody here. The northeast of Brazil is less-visited by tourists than the south; this site sits 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the capital of the state, so that also contributes to the lack of tourism, but that’s good for you if you do go!
To get there, the roads aren’t bad and you can find it on your Waze or Google Maps. I was really impressed with this site and I was very glad I visited. If you’re anywhere near here, you really should come visit.
Great exposure to a significant Northeastern Brazilian prehistoric landmark. As an anthropologist, I found worth visiting it.

Have to admit, I was a little underwhelmed by certain parts of Recife, abandoned buildings and evident economic struggle; but not this place, apparently a lot of the money of the town went to whoever built this place. I was legit amazed by the collection of global art and artifacts that Mr. Brennand had accumulated. Huuge tapestries, ivory carved dioramas from asia, bottero sculptures, local art, and enough medieval suits of armor and weapons to hold off a small invading army; all housed in immaculately manicured gardens and enormous brick chapels and halls. If you have it, I appreciate the desire to let everyone else enjoy it also.
Simply incredible. Looks like a very European art museum in the middle of North East Brazil, and even though most of the artworks are replicas, it's surely worth visiting. This is one of my favorite places to visit in Recife. The Brennand collection of weapons is fantastic and they certainly have a vast collection of art. My favorite time to go is during the week when it rains a little because there aren't as many people around so you can have a lot of time to yourself. Great architecture as well. From the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I felt welcomed. The check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. My room was clean, quiet, and equipped with all the essentials. The complimentary breakfast offered a good variety, making mornings easy and enjoyable.
Per se it's just a little spot on the floor, but the area around is very nice. You'll find a few nice bars and unexpensive restaurants around, with some local experiences to know the carnival culture better. Nothing special but worth taking a look.

What a beauty 😍, awesome beach 🏖️ to spend a Quality Sunday. I was there for around 8 hours, you can have drinks, some food items and enjoy the sea views. Ample parking space outside. Wheelchair track is there to access the beach . Can get a taxi to and fro to the city. Of course, the crowd is making it more enjoyable 😃. And Thanks to nature for such a beautiful creation.

Beautiful! Great beach, and location. Was urged not to swim, as there are sharks(story behind this) so really only went in water at low tide when the reef keeps a pool you can swim in
Nice beach ⛱️🏖️ However, there is only water, sand, big buildings and some palm trees. Nothing special if you like really nice views. But if you like sun, sand and warm water, that's a good place to be.
