(Translated by Google) Ponta Grossa Beach in Icapuí is a great option for those who like more secluded/calmer beaches. The place is beautiful and has an incredible sunset over the dunes! At the restaurant located very close to the beach, you can take a buggy and quad bike ride. The buggy ride includes several beaches in the region and is a two-hour ride, ending at the dunes; the ride costs on average 200/250 reais (payments accepted in cash and by debit/credit card). The company I used for the tour was Canaã Turismo and the buggy driver was very attentive.

(Translated by Google) There are natural pools, but with rocks, a good walk with beautiful landscapes, a lot of seaweed on the beach can be smelly, but only for a short space before Ponta Grossa beach. It is best to take a buggy ride for up to 3 hours in the morning, and if the tide is low you can go along the beach. There is no place near the beach with infrastructure that offers shops, restaurants, swimming pools...

(Translated by Google) Ponta Grossa Beach in Icapuí, a beautiful natural cliff that will leave you speechless. There is no infrastructure for beach huts, so the beach is calm, especially at sunset. In the morning, there are some people selling drinks and snacks; the shrimp barbecue is delicious! A great beach for taking pictures, thanks to its landscape. (Translated by Google) A place with lush nature, where you can see everything from dunes to the seashore, cliffs, reefs and the view provided by the movement of the tides. When the tide is low, if you head to the right, you can access Redonda beach. In Ponta Grossa, you have options for restaurants, accommodation, buggy rides, quad bike rides and more. I had the opportunity to have lunch, and the fish was very well served and at a fair price. A very good place to spend a weekend. (Translated by Google) I loved the beach. It's a paradise-like and well-preserved place. There you can find lobster skewers and boat trips that take you to see the fish. Just one thing to keep in mind: Do this trip between 8 and 9 in the morning, because when the tide is high it's not a good trip. You can get hurt because of the corals, you swallow a lot of water and the guides encourage you to do it later, but it's not comfortable or safe for you. I have bruises on both arms and my back because I hurt myself, and I cut my toe. (Original) Amei a praia.

Modest inn offering a restaurant & direct beach access, plus complimentary breakfast & Wi-Fi.
Nice food
Heryck M — Google review
Beiral is located at the very point of the promontory and offers a superb view. We have gone there for many (20+) years and enjoyed the ambience and food. The service, while friendly enough, was always slow and spotty, but the food was good, especially the broths (caldos). In recent times, the place has deteriorated. They inexplicably decided to take up some of the choicest space up front with a kiddie pool that fills up with screaming children and some scrawny dog roams the premises, begging at tables. Customers are also allowed to bring lap dogs into the restaurant and their incessant yapping is blithely tolerated. The owners need to decide who they wish to serve: Humans or dogs. The place next door has the same view, similar service and food, but is cleaner.

The same thing happened at breakfast, even worse because the fruit from the day before was wilted watermelon, sour cream cheese on the table and couscous from the day before... It's not worth it. If you can afford to pay more, go to a better place. I WENT TO REST AND CAME BACK REGRETTING IT... They only offer 1 sample for their cachaça range and it was very disappointing as we were expecting to try at least a couple or 3 of them to decide which ones to buy. I have been told that in past you had the option to do exactly that and actually try multiple samples of different types of cachaça. I am giving 3 stars instead of 2 just because the place looks pretty and instagrammable, although not worth the 25 reais entry fee.

(Translated by Google) Hello, my Campina Grande, whoever saw you and whoever sees you will never recognize you again :) We were in Campina Grande, Paraíba, on August 7, 2024, after approximately 10 years. * It was a true reunion of souls, as I'm from Campina Grande, and revisiting the city brought back many special memories from the time I lived there for 18 long years. * We visited the Açude Velho, which for me is Campina Grande's most beautiful landmark. The place is stunning, right in the heart of the city. The promenade around the reservoir is widely used for walking, running, cycling, and events, offering a safe, spacious, and pleasant space for those who enjoy outdoor physical activities. * The surrounding nature, the view of the buildings, and the incredible sunset make the place even more special. It's easy to understand why it's one of the city's main tourist attractions. Besides the scenery, there are historical sites nearby, two museums, and the Parque da Criança (Children's Park) nearby. There are also parking spaces, making visiting the area much easier. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and kiosks. It's definitely worth visiting or revisiting. A true symbol of Campina Grande, it makes for great photos and memories.

Housed in a stunning building designed by Oscar Niemeyer, this museum features an array of exhibits that include ceramics, textiles, and screen printing. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich artistic traditions of Paraíba while enjoying free entry—donations are appreciated! The museum also offers insights into local culture through displays on music and traditional attire.
Art museum run by a university. Free entry but donations are welcome. Nice to see if you are in the area. Had display for a fmous singer with 3 sections: history, music and artifacts. We spent about 20-30 minutes there. Staff was very nice and walked us around.

Nice museum designed by Oscar Niemeyer. When we visited only a third of the building was showing art, the other two, they were preparing for the June party. The art we saw was mainly about screen printing of art. This place has free entrance. Lastly, a good view over the lake.

Ingá Stone - PB

Archaeological site
Sights & Landmarks
Historic Sites
Beautiful stone with well preserved petrogplyphs from the indiginous people. The stone is a bit in the middle of no where and when we visited we were the only people. There is a total of four places were you can clearly see petroglyphs. The main stone carving resembles a flood with a wave, followed by plants, palms and people. Some stone carvings also seem to represent stars. The site also has an information panel and many trees/plants have an information sign explaining what the plant is. There is also a small museum with an entrance of 5 real. Overall, really worth visiting this archeoligical site. The entrance is surprisingly free and the access road is in good conditions. The walking path to and around the Ingá stone are in good condition but some places might be difficult to walk for older people.

The Ingá Stone is located in the middle of the Ingá River in the small Brazilian city of Ingá (know you know how it got its name). What is it? It’s a rock formation that is covered with petroglyphs (or stone picture carvings). The prehistoric carvings were done over time and the most recent additions may have been added as recently as the 18th Century—all done by local native tribes. The meaning and/or purpose of these carvings is unknown and undeciphered. Some of the carvings resemble animals, fruits, the Orion Constellation and other less-easily distinguishable figures. The carvings are also known as the Itacoatiara do Ingá (pronounced: “EEta- cwa – tiara”), which is the name in the Tupi language of the original natives. “Ita” means stone and “coatiara” means picture. This is not the only such site with carvings in this part of Brazil, but it is one of the biggest. Still, when we visited, there was nobody here. The northeast of Brazil is less-visited by tourists than the south; this site sits 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the capital of the state, so that also contributes to the lack of tourism, but that’s good for you if you do go! To get there, the roads aren’t bad and you can find it on your Waze or Google Maps. I was really impressed with this site and I was very glad I visited. If you’re anywhere near here, you really should come visit.

Arena de Pernambuco is a remarkable 46,000-seat stadium constructed for the 2014 World Cup and located about 20km west of Sao Lourenco da Mata's city center. Notably, it boasts green credentials with solar panels contributing to its energy supply. This venue is ideal for family outings and events, offering ample space to accommodate large crowds. Additionally, it has hosted popular shows like Guns n' Roses, making it a top entertainment destination in the region.
in August 2024 we went to the Pernambuco arena to celebrate students' day, I went with my class to enjoy it, I really liked it there because I really like playing ball and it was a cool experience, one tip I say is get there early to enjoy it more.

Sights & Landmarks
Oficina Ceramica Francisco Brennand is a museum and workshop dedicated to the renowned Brazilian plastic artist, Francisco Brennand. The site was originally an old family pottery that the artist transformed into a temple of art, showcasing his own works since 1971. Visitors can explore nearly 2,000 pieces including ceramics, sculptures, and paintings primarily centered around themes like sexuality.
The place is amazing, the amount of incredible art pieces is astonishing. Entry fee 50R.
Sindulyi S — Google review
One of the most remarkable and interesting art galleries we have ever visited. Francisco Brennand must have been a weird, obsessive, wildly creative guy to conceive such an ambitious and extensive display of his work. The ceramic sculptures are creative and bizarre, mostly monochromatic and very imaginative. There are elements of Picasso, and Geiger. Some are quite creepy, some are strangely erotic. Even if you are not an art lover you will be blown away.

The place is nice, but it’s lacking a guided tour or posters with explanations. You feel lost inside, not knowing where to start or what’s the story of the place. It’s also very expensive to get in, 60 BRL. The coffee shop could have decent coffee

This is a must-visit place in Recife if you like modern, daring art. It does contain quite a bit of phallic imagery, but a in abstract (it is the style of the artist). It's a beautiful indoor and outdoor museum. Very clean, and relaxing.

Very beautiful museum. So much to see and do. Really enjoyed being there. Went with my family.

Have to admit, I was a little underwhelmed by certain parts of Recife, abandoned buildings and evident economic struggle; but not this place, apparently a lot of the money of the town went to whoever built this place. I was legit amazed by the collection of global art and artifacts that Mr. Brennand had accumulated. Huuge tapestries, ivory carved dioramas from asia, bottero sculptures, local art, and enough medieval suits of armor and weapons to hold off a small invading army; all housed in immaculately manicured gardens and enormous brick chapels and halls. If you have it, I appreciate the desire to let everyone else enjoy it also.
Kiantar B — Google review
Simply incredible. Looks like a very European art museum in the middle of North East Brazil, and even though most of the artworks are replicas, it's surely worth visiting. Many expositions are hosted and the permanent collection is very beautiful. Fair price, no wait and absolutely the best art experience in Recife.
ALESSANDRO C — Google review
This is one of my favorite places to visit in Recife. The Brennand collection of weapons is fantastic and they certainly have a vast collection of art. My favorite time to go is during the week when it rains a little because there aren't as many people around so you can have a lot of time to yourself. Great architecture as well. This place is worth your time for sure.
Nephi B — Google review
The architecture is stunning but the gallery displays a lot of replicas and some originals. Most pieces don't have information on who made them or where, nor any historical context. The arms collection os really interesting but could also use some more information. Also, the ticket priced at R$50 makes it more expensive than most Brazilians can afford.
Stella ( — Google review
One of the best and most unique museums in the northeast of Brazil, if not all Brazil. A must-visit if you’re in the northeast! The Dutch tapestries and the history of the Dutch in Brazil is fascinating, as is a vast building filled with thousands of weapons from the last hundred years. Add in the stunning gardens filled with capybara and monkeys strolling around and playing and this truly is a memorable place to spend a few hours. Cafe and restaurant on site too. Entrance is $50 BRL.

Don’t use the guide tour, they are scammers! Old town feels like being abandoned with lots of homeless. Don’t feel very secure to walk around. Don’t use any guide tour! They said one hour walk tour, 50 BRL per person. During the tour, there was very little introduction and walking very fast to rush us, took us to shops so they get commission fee, but we actually don’t buy anything. And after finish, they asked 50% more, and insisted cash!!! We don’t want to risk our security since they are a bunch of guides around us and push us to pay! They are the scammers!

Nice beach ⛱️🏖️ However, there is only water, sand, big buildings and some palm trees. Nothing special if you like really nice views. But if you like sun, sand and warm water, that's a good place to be.

The high tale is around noon, so the best time to take advantage of the natural pools that are shark safe is the early morning. Once you are in pleamar, huge sections of the beach disappear under the water, but you will still have plenty of areas with a wide strip of sand. If you consume anything, you so not have to pay for the umbrellas and the chairs.

Beautiful beach, however unsafe to swim due to the sharks. There are not a lot of warning signs.

I prefered over Porto de Galinhas for a nice long walk where you can have wide shore, uninterrupted by "tourism" and view of the sea and shore without kiosks.

Boa Viagem is an urban beach located in Recife. Unfortunately known for accidents with Sharks, it is a very good beach to spend the day, on the beach out of the water. If you go, go early, as the sun sets early on the beach due to the large buildings that hide the sun from 3 pm onwards.

(Translated by Google) The beach is very far away and has a terrible dirt road. We thought it would be a primitive beach with little commercialism. Nothing like that. Crowded with chairs and tents, very commercial. It wasn't worth the experience... Nada disto. Lotada de cadeiras e barracas, muito comercial. Não valeu a experiência...
