(Translated by Google) Baía Formosa is the perfect place to relax, eat fish with large shrimp, enjoy nature and the sunset without worrying about anything else. Its beaches are beautiful, as is the bay itself, which gives the place its name. There are surfer beaches, but also those where natural pools form for non-surfers. Don't expect a developed tourist infrastructure, no. But perhaps that's where your peace and quiet lies. Be sure to have lunch by the sea at one of the three kiosk-restaurants. They're very simple, right on the sand, but their fish and shrimp are great. We loved Baía Formosa the way it is still little explored. We went in September/2023 and it was very peaceful. May it continue to be that way. Nature thanks you, and we even more so.

The only downside is the many buggies and 4x4s that pass by heading to the border, and they often travel along the beach. Otherwise, it's a super pleasant place. Beautiful guesthouses, a few restaurants on the beach, and that's it. There's no entertainment outside of the beach. (Translated by Google) A beautiful waterfall, but not accessible to very young children or the elderly. It's also recommended to arrive early to secure a comfortable spot. There are restaurants along the way and a paid parking lot near the entrance, which is fair value. Be careful when walking on the waterfall's rocks, as they are slippery and can cause falls. Otherwise, you can bring food and drinks and have a great time with friends and family. (Translated by Google) The waterfall itself is spectacular. I visited on a Monday and there were few people there. It's very busy on weekends. There's a paid parking lot at the entrance (car: 10.00; motorcycle: 5.00), but it's worth it, as the owner is very responsible and has a bathroom and shower. The downside is the presence of trash and the smell of urine in some areas.

The lodging experience at Sua Casa na Barra de Mamanguape was peaceful and relaxed. The Araca flat was well-maintained and equipped with essential kitchen amenities such as a refrigerator, stove, and basic cooking items. Nilton, the host, provided us with helpful guidance on places to eat and visit. However, there were a few drawbacks including intermittent WiFi connectivity issues during the night and limited television programming that often froze due to unstable internet connection.

Praia do Jacaré

Beach
Nature & Parks
Praia do Jacaré, located in Cabedelo near Joao Pessoa, is a low-key beach known for its boat docks and esplanade lined with restaurants and bars. The highlight of this beach is the daily sunset celebration accompanied by live music, featuring the famous saxophonist Jurandy do Sax performing Bolero by Ravel. This unique experience has made Praia do Jacaré a popular destination for visitors seeking a magical and romantic sunset setting.
Beautiful little area. There is no beach per se, however, the little area is very clean, new with tons of shops and space to watch the sunset or shop. It is a very recommendable spot to come while in João Pessoa for the souvenir possibilities and to see the area/music/sunset.

Most popular sunset in Brazil. 🌅 However, if you want more beautiful ones, try Barra Grande, Bahia, or the dunes of Lençois Maranhenses. What’s special here is that the music is nice; also there are free bathrooms. Other than that it’s pretty crowded.

Nice touristic spot to see the sunset. It's basically a street following the river with bunch of small stores to buy souvenirs and food. You can park your car for free at the public designated area, but you will have an army of people trying to make your park before on their area for 5 reais. That's not a lot to pay, but if you don't want to, ignore them and park at the end on the left.

We went on a Saturday and the director of the place welcomed us very warmly. He told us the whole history of the place, recited some poems by Augusto dos Anjos and then took us to see the famous tamarind tree (it is less than 500 meters from the memorial, but the car can drive right up to the front of the place). (Translated by Google) I believe that every good travel experience begins with choosing the right place to stay. And, unfortunately, we made a mistake in this regard. João Pessoa is an incredible city — beautiful, welcoming, and full of polite and helpful people. However, our stay at the Tambaú Beach Hotel left much to be desired. The location is excellent, super close to everything, but the hotel falls short in several aspects, especially in the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms. The walls had mold — and, from what I've seen in other comments here on Google, it wasn't an isolated problem. A real nightmare for anyone with allergies! We booked some tours with Luck Turismo, which is a partner of the hotel and has a permanent space in the reception area to sell packages. One of the tours left at 6:45 am, and since breakfast is only served from 6:30 am, I tried to talk to the reception to see if it would be possible to arrive 10 minutes earlier or if they could prepare a snack for us to take with us. In other hotels I've stayed in, this has always been resolved willingly — after all, we are in a tourist city. But, to my surprise, the response was curt and abrupt: “There’s nothing we can do, can’t you have coffee in 15 minutes? That’s all the time you have.” No willingness to help, not even an attempt at a solution. As a result, I gulped down my food so as not to miss the tour. Another day, I ordered a tapioca for breakfast (which is made to order) and, quite rudely, the employee informed me that it would be the last one—at 7:20 am, with several guests still arriving to eat! I waited more than 15 minutes and, when I asked again, I was told they wouldn't be making any more tapioca that day. I could have enjoyed my breakfast normally, but I ended up wasting time waiting for something that never came. I also had an unpleasant experience when requesting a hairdryer at reception. The attendant, wearing headphones, showed complete unwillingness—he huffed, stood up, and handed over the item visibly annoyed, as if he were doing me a favor. In short, there are many accommodation options in João Pessoa, and I would certainly choose a different one on a future visit. The Tambaú Beach Hotel presents itself as a 3-star hotel, but honestly, it doesn't even come close to deserving one. Porém, nossa hospedagem no Tambaú Beach Hotel deixou bastante a desejar.

Nice beach, but apparently the water is not so clean because the sewage system is directly dumping contaminated water in it. This is especially not pleasant during high tide and is also not very healthy. The beach is beautiful with many stands along the way of the beach.

Cabo Branco and Tambaú are among the best beaches in the Northeast. No, not the prettiest, but for a place to just enjoy the beach, they are hard to beat. Relatively safe water, not too rough. Many quiosques offer food and drinks. For more youthful excitement, go North to the Intermares Beach where you will often find surfers. Thus, it is windier and rougher, but there is much more boating activity to watch.

Cabo Branco Beach is possibly the best beach in the city, mostly because of the infrastructure in the area: there are many hotels, beach bars, restaurants of all types (from pizza joints to fine dining establishments); you can rent bicycles to ride on the dedicated bike path that runs all along the coast of Joao Pessoa to Cabedelo. If you are a sun worshipper, you can rent a beach chair and an umbrella and sit on the golden sand, looking at the beautiful turquoise water that’s always warm. Cabo Branco Beach is flanked by 2 other beaches: Tambaú Beach and Seixas Beach which is where the easternmost point of the Americas is located. There are a lot of reasons to visit this beach and I highly recommend you come.

Classic example of big Brazilian public work. Once the big investment is done (the propina ends and a big opening celebration), then starve the project for maintenance. The journey to the island offers a peaceful and scenic experience, with various bars available for relaxation.
Great place.

(Translated by Google) The beach is extremely polluted, there is a frightening amount of trash everywhere and many people leave more trash. In addition to the pollution in the water and sand, there is also noise pollution, a competition to see who can listen to the loudest music. I do not recommend it and I hope to never return. There are other beaches that deserve to be visited and enjoyed, but this one needs urgent help!

(Translated by Google) A beautiful and peaceful island. Access is by boat or raft from Itamaracá or Maria Farinha. The route is peaceful and the view is wonderful. There are bars on the island, hammocks in the sea and you can walk to the tip of the island. I suggest you take a look before choosing where to stay, the prices vary and the service is the same. We ordered the dish with fish and sides, on average R$100.00 and it was delicious. The beer was warm, but they put a cooler with ice on the table. We only started to receive good service after a complaint. I would go back and recommend it, except for this annoyance due to the competition between establishments on the beach.

(Translated by Google) The beach itself is a good option for those who are in Olinda or Recife and don't want to go to Porto de Galinhas to enjoy the beach. However, visitors need to be more careful. The water is clean and warm. This place is quieter because it is less crowded. It is 30 minutes from Olinda. (Translated by Google) The beach is interesting, with no apparent signs of pollution. The problem lies in the infrastructure, which leaves a little to be desired and, depending on the time of day, the excessive number of people. The strong points are the service at the beach huts, which offer plentiful food at a gourmet price. It is worth negotiating the price and type of fish before ordering.

Although it is not a very pleasant place to visit, passing by once in a while can be pleasant in some places. It is worth mentioning that there is a canal that leads to the beach where sewage is also dumped directly into the sea, which is a serious problem. (Translated by Google) Great for a weekend getaway. Most of the places I went, I received excellent service. There are beautiful places to see. I think the only problem is that it doesn't have many things to do during the week; the bus takes a while. If you like to enjoy the beach on weekdays, some things along the shore, like restaurants, will be closed. I don't think it's a place I would live in, unless I were retired. Stadium
Sights & Landmarks
Arena de Pernambuco is a remarkable 46,000-seat stadium constructed for the 2014 World Cup and located about 20km west of Sao Lourenco da Mata's city center. Notably, it boasts green credentials with solar panels contributing to its energy supply. This venue is ideal for family outings and events, offering ample space to accommodate large crowds. Additionally, it has hosted popular shows like Guns n' Roses, making it a top entertainment destination in the region.
in August 2024 we went to the Pernambuco arena to celebrate students' day, I went with my class to enjoy it, I really liked it there because I really like playing ball and it was a cool experience, one tip I say is get there early to enjoy it more.

It's a huge soccer stadium in the middle of nowhere. The infrastructure is great. Beautiful stadium field. If visiting, remember not to stay long, because you won't find restaurants or coffee places nearby.

It is a historical place that I highly recommend visiting, if you are not interested in football you will still be able to have fun and will probably be interested in football, it does not have many negative points, an almost perfect place for people of any background to visit

On August 8, 2024, I and the people from the Patrícia Cardoso municipal school went to the Pernambuco arena. We got there, we saw several places with the help of the guide, we took several photos, we learned several things and I liked it because I really like football. Get to this place early because we arrived late and didn't get to enjoy it much.

On August 8, 2024, we took a class trip to the Pernambuco arena. We went with the school students. I got there, took a lot of photos and enjoyed it a lot. In my opinion, I recommend taking more from R$70 and here's a tip: don't step on the grass

I loved visiting the Pernambuco arena, which is very beautiful and rich in history, which were very important in the growth and development of the stadium and thus impacting an increase in tourism, bringing new visitors not only to the arena but also to our region.
