Another day, I ordered a tapioca for breakfast (which is made to order) and, quite rudely, the employee informed me that it would be the last one—at 7:20 am, with several guests still arriving to eat! I waited more than 15 minutes and, when I asked again, I was told they wouldn't be making any more tapioca that day. I could have enjoyed my breakfast normally, but I ended up wasting time waiting for something that never came. I also had an unpleasant experience when requesting a hairdryer at reception. The attendant, wearing headphones, showed complete unwillingness—he huffed, stood up, and handed over the item visibly annoyed, as if he were doing me a favor. In short, there are many accommodation options in João Pessoa, and I would certainly choose a different one on a future visit. The Tambaú Beach Hotel presents itself as a 3-star hotel, but honestly, it doesn't even come close to deserving one. João Pessoa é uma cidade incrível — linda, acolhedora e cheia de pessoas educadas e solícitas. Porém, nossa hospedagem no Tambaú Beach Hotel deixou bastante a desejar. A localização é excelente, super próxima de tudo, mas o hotel peca em vários aspectos, especialmente na limpeza dos quartos e banheiros. As paredes apresentavam mofo — e, pelo que vi em outros comentários aqui no Google, não foi um problema isolado. Um verdadeiro pesadelo para quem é alérgico! Fechamos alguns passeios com a Luck Turismo, que é parceira do hotel e tem um espaço fixo na recepção para venda dos pacotes. Um dos passeios saía às 6h45, e como o café da manhã é servido apenas a partir das 6h30, tentei conversar com a recepção para ver se seria possível entrar 10 minutinhos antes ou se poderiam separar um lanche para levarmos. Em outros hotéis que já fiquei, isso sempre foi resolvido com boa vontade — afinal, estamos em uma cidade turística. Mas, para minha surpresa, a resposta foi seca e ríspida: “Não tem como fazer nada, você não consegue tomar café em 15 minutos? É o tempo que você tem.” Sem disposição em ajudar, nem sequer uma tentativa de solução. Resultado: engoli a comida às pressas para não perder o passeio. Em outro dia, pedi uma tapioca no café da manhã (que é feita na hora) e, com bastante grosseria, a funcionária me informou que aquela seria a última — às 7h20 da manhã, com vários hóspedes ainda chegando para comer! Esperei mais de 15 minutos e, ao perguntar novamente, ouvi que não fariam mais nenhuma tapioca naquele dia. Poderia ter aproveitado o café normalmente, mas acabei perdendo tempo esperando algo que nunca veio. Também tive uma experiência desagradável ao solicitar um secador na recepção. O atendente, de fone de ouvido, demonstrou total má vontade — bufou, levantou e entregou o item visivelmente contrariado, como se estivesse me fazendo um favor. Em resumo, há muitas opções de hospedagem em João Pessoa, e certamente escolheria outra em uma próxima visita. O Tambaú Beach Hotel se apresenta como um hotel 3 estrelas, mas, sinceramente, não chega nem perto de merecer uma.

Nice beach, but apparently the water is not so clean because the sewage system is directly dumping contaminated water in it. This is especially not pleasant during high tide and is also not very healthy. The beach is beautiful with many stands along the way of the beach.

Cabo Branco and Tambaú are among the best beaches in the Northeast. No, not the prettiest, but for a place to just enjoy the beach, they are hard to beat. Relatively safe water, not too rough. Many quiosques offer food and drinks. For more youthful excitement, go North to the Intermares Beach where you will often find surfers. Thus, it is windier and rougher, but there is much more boating activity to watch.

Cabo Branco Beach is possibly the best beach in the city, mostly because of the infrastructure in the area: there are many hotels, beach bars, restaurants of all types (from pizza joints to fine dining establishments); you can rent bicycles to ride on the dedicated bike path that runs all along the coast of Joao Pessoa to Cabedelo. If you are a sun worshipper, you can rent a beach chair and an umbrella and sit on the golden sand, looking at the beautiful turquoise water that’s always warm. Cabo Branco Beach is flanked by 2 other beaches: Tambaú Beach and Seixas Beach which is where the easternmost point of the Americas is located. There are a lot of reasons to visit this beach and I highly recommend you come.

Very beautiful beach, lots of food options nearby, some of them even with live music in the evening. There is a possibility to rent a bicycle/tricycle.

Nice spot with a wonderful view on the easternmost point of the Americas. There are a few shops, restaurants and an artisan market and the area seemed relatively clean and safe. Recommended

It's a super important spot, the very oriental point of the American continent and unfortunately its kind of abandoned. There's a park with some very tourist shop... nothing special. I think local government should take care of that important spot of the continent.

The lighthouse seems inoperational and despite being marked as open, there's no way to enter. While the location and view spot is cool, as it is the Easternmost point of the Americas, I wish there was more to see here.

Now remodelled and ready to welcome people in its woods, it offers a hallmark of the most oriental place in the Americas.

Beautiful view and significant location (Eastern most part of the Americas). Yet, no lineup to take photos. There's also a little market and park that's under construction, I'm guessing that it gets really busy during high season.

Classic example of big Brazilian public work. Once the big investment is done (the propina ends and a big opening celebration), then starve the project for maintenance. It is not hopeless yet, but nearly nothing was open or in good condition. Hurrah! There were two maintenance workers. The observation deck was open and that's about it. I hear it used to be great.

Best location in Tabatinga beach (IMO one of the best ones in Litoral Sul), underground parking is a plus, good choice if you look a peaceful, quiet and not crowded place No beach service, breakfast served at room and usually cold, restaurant is just fine.

Fantastic place you must go and if you are not a naturalist it’s okay. There is a side that we can stay with clothes on and still enjoy the beautiful nature views.

Worth visiting, but slightly overrated if you really want the beach scene. Coqueirinho Is better as a beach with many more food options. Tambaba is famed for it's nudist section, which is easy to avoid if you wish. Go, take pictures, and then move on to a better beach. The scenery is unique to most local beaches.
