Jequitibá Woods Park is a popular urban leisure area, attracting around a million visitors annually. It features a vast native forest reserve housing a zoo with 300 mammal, bird, and reptile species. The park also boasts various facilities such as the Caboclo House, Natural History Museum, Carlos Maia Theater, and Municipal Aquarium. Very nice park. There are several exotic animals, many of them were rescued and were given shelter here. There are also wild, free animals like these cute agouti roaming everywhere in the park. It was a very enjoyable stroll around the park.
Noelia C — Google review
I really think this place should charge an entrance fee to improve the conditions for the animals. Loved it, the talking Araras, Monkeys- there are some that roam freely! And of course Cotias everywhere. I will have a full video on my YouTube channel: Curves on the road
Jana C — Google review
Very nice park/zoo in the center of the city. Must visit. Amazing for just walking around and reading a book. You do not pay to enter this park so I was surprised it is well taken care of. Only problem is Brazilian people who do not pick up garbage after their visit! For anyone who is against zoos this place is more of a rescue center... research and stop being so negative. They are just trying to help these animals. Releasing them will kill them! Also this is educational for all kids and adults. Look at all the beauty it offers.
Maj — Google review
Beautiful park located in the middle of the city. Very calm and relaxing.
Stephan P — Google review
Amazing, peaceful, quiet place, fresh air in the morning, great environment for all ages. Tip, from 6am on, the small side gate on the entrance is open. 😉
Falaco R — Google review
The park is nice, great diversity of trees and bushes. But what I think is cruel, is to keep wild animals in captivity. They don't deserve to live this way. People in Campinas should change their minds and ask the municipality to free those animals, or at least take them to some kind of reserve outside the city, where they could roam a little. Lions and Leopards are kept in small compounds without even a little bit of green. Birds are living in small cages, which avoid them from flying.

Parque Portugal - Lagoa do Taquaral

City park
Nature & Parks
Parque Portugal, also known as Lagoa do Taquaral, is a renowned city park that features a stunning lagoon and a variety of attractions for visitors to enjoy. The park boasts beautiful trees and flowers of all kinds and is home to families of geese, ducks, and capybaras.
The best park! It was a very hot day but the park is so greeny. I walked in a shade of those big trees, met couple of capybaras enjoying their weekend. The most iconic seems to be a big Protugese style boat at the north of the park.
Borworn B — Google review
Nice park. I liked how the streets were closed off for a running event. It was a nice run around the beautiful streets and lake. Plenty of vendors for some refreshments.
Dave H — Google review
Nice park. Lots of cool local flora and lots of cappybara running around. The little food stands are also nice. We got coconut water and some ice cream and both were delicious. The panda statues at the playground are pretty creepy though...
Brandon S — Google review
If you love capybaras, you can't find a better place to go. Dozens of these friendly rodents roam around the lake. They won't let you touch them or even feed them, but they will let you pretty close. I have a video about it on my YT channel: Curves on the road
Jana C — Google review
Better with family. This is an excellent spot for running, offering wide and varied trails with spots of shade at all times of day, the path was not paved in all places and so it may be muddy in the rain. There is a big ship to explore and beautiful plants. There were paddle boats but they had a cost to try. And some play equipment for kids. Depending on your disposition, this may not be the best place to go if you have limited time. There is not much that distinguishes it from any other large park in the world and it is not well maintained. It was hot and few places to buy water so come prepared.
Benjamin S — Google review
A nice (green) park, kinda small one but still nice, well kept, kids friendly, well located, overcrowded in weekends, parking may be troublesome.
Woody A — Google review
This is a very big park, with no entrance fee! I was impressed to see capybaras chilling everywhere. There is a Planetarium, but i advise to first check out the opening hours. There's a huge ship you can get on and several food stalls with delicious snacks.
Noelia C — Google review
Definitely my favorite park in Campinas! Amazing green scenery views, river, trees, capybaras everywhere. Delicious Açaí and ice cream are the bonus. Very clean and animal friendly park. There are many street cats but they love people and people take care of them too. One of my father in law's cats is from this park and he named her "Serena".

That was my favourite station and only the station with waffles 🧇! For some reason they didn’t accept international cards 💳 but we paid cash. It took around 20 min to get my order done but I enjoyed so much! 🤍🤍🤍

A great zoo! It has a spacious area to walk through and many animals from Brazil, with a few from other countries. The monkeys are fun to watch. That said, few of the enclosures were empty...

Nice zoo, there are a lot of different animals and many animals from brazil. The lion and tiger enclosures were not accessible when we visited. They have many birds ranging from exotic ducks to several types of aras. They also have a hippo, several types of crocodiles, snakes, foxes and wild dogs. There are a couple of enclosures currently empty.
F. N — Google review
I visited this place just to see capibaras. Unfortunately for me, I only saw one. I think it was a bad luck. Besides capibaras, the park takes care of some monkeys, aras, but also some animals that I as European don't know for my continent. So visiting the place was interesting for me. The park is huge and you can spend quite some time with roaming around. To see everything with slow pace, I would say that 2 hours are more than enough. But you can manage to see what you are interested in in about 1 hour, as I did. Entrance tickets to this place are surprisingly cheap, so I would encourage you to visit park and support it this way.

Shopping Malls
Shopping Nations Limeira is an indoor retail center that houses popular national chain stores, a expansive dining area, and a cinema. Perfect for those who prefer quieter environments, this shopping mall offers a cozy atmosphere with limited options for purchasing clothing and food. However, it does feature departments dedicated to domestic electronics products, which can be intriguing for tech enthusiasts. Additionally, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a fun bowling experience here, although prices may be on the higher side.

(Translated by Google) The Pirassununga Air Force Academy is an incredible place, especially the Air Demonstration Squadron, known as the Smoke Squadron. I have visited several times and have always been impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the military. It is exciting to see the aerial acrobatics and feel the national pride that the Squadron conveys. However, I would like to point out that the videos in the Google Maps review are from 2014, which may not fully reflect the current experience. It would be great if there were updates to provide a more accurate and recent view of the activities and facilities. In addition, the commitment of the soldiers and corporals, some of whom are friends of mine, contributing to the excellence of the Smoke Squadron is remarkable. The Air Force Academy is a national treasure, and I hope that the information on Google Maps can be updated to further reflect its grandeur and importance.

(Translated by Google) A great event for those who enjoy aviation, with several models. The Brazilian and Chilean smoke squadrons are a show in themselves. It's worth a visit. The organization of the event leaves something to be desired. The parking lot is large and well organized by the army officers. The food court is small and it takes a long time to pick up your order. It took almost an hour to pick up a pastel. It could have been better planned since they already knew how many people would be at the event. But I still recommend it!!! Vale a pena conhecer. Organização do evento em parte deixa a desejar. Estacionamento grande e bem organizado pelos oficiais do exército.

(Translated by Google) I visited on Sunday and found the event to be very well organized. Due to the large crowd, there are long waits to get in, get out, eat and see the action from the inside. So it's a good idea to arrive early. I arrived 1 hour before the event started and there was already a line to get in. But the AFA staff organizes everything to avoid traffic jams. The Museu da Água de Piracicaba Francisco Salgot Castillon is a charming destination that highlights the vital role of water in the city’s history and management. This small yet engaging museum features interactive exhibits that delve into water conservation, showcasing models and aquariums filled with local fish. Visitors can explore the fascinating remnants of pre-electricity waterworks, including operational turbines over a century old.
Cute small museum about the water management around Piracicaba. The entrance is free and you can nicely walk around in the museum area. The museum has some models to explain the water management, aquariums with some fish, the old water cleaning facilities. In my opinion there could be more information in different parts of the museum. Parking closeby the museum is very easy on the street.

Thermas de São Pedro

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Thermas Water Park is a spacious and enjoyable destination, boasting an array of attractions such as wave pools, slides, waterfalls, and a designated area for children. Snack kiosks cater to visitors' refreshment needs. However, during peak times like October 2022 holidays, the park tends to get overcrowded with long waiting times for popular rides, food services, and restrooms. The limited seating arrangement requires early arrival to secure tables and chairs.
Worth the 180R price tag! We had an amazing fun packed day and only wish we could have stayed longer! They should stay open until 7pm for sure. The wave pool is so much fun and just when you think you have been everywhere there is LOADS more! The only downfall is not being able to bring your own food and drink into the park, I think they would attract more customers if that was the case because once you have paid 180R entrance (I think it's a little bit cheaper if you book online) then you pay 25R for the locker, 25R for the parking and THEN have to pay for food and drink all day it does start to add up, especially if you have a family! However, this will not deter me from going again and again! It looks like they are adding more attractions as well so it can only get better. I wasn't sure what the point of the big castle was but it was nice to look at. I would prefer the lazy river to be deeper and also have a pool that's deep for proper swimming. BEWARE the umbrellas at the table are made from plastic and not material so you can get a nasty bump on the head if you walk into one 😂 GREAT PLACE. Next time we will book to stay there!
Rebecca B — Google review
Is everything going to be fine and the personal make good job nice place for family ist clean and perfect 🤩 really we liked but we pay really more many for just one day, I have just question? Why the people pay for parking that is not good this is not right i think you need be free for people come visit .
2gether B — Google review
The place is nice but has some design flaws. I really like the wave pool, it has around the right depth and having waves for a full 30 minutes every hour is something I did not see in a park before, so that is great. The downside is that the wave pool is not that clean, multiple floating tooth picks and other trash (a pity). The other pools are more clean, but not all pools are transparent. The warmed pool is nice but I find that the pool is very shallow, less than a meter. It is nice that they play music around here and the pool is big enough that you can choose how hard you want the music (by changing the distance). The volcano has just too shallow pools, the pool of just 20 cm deep is a bit useless. The small stream also is too shallow, with 40 cm you cannot really float in the small stream but rather need to almost walk it. The water slides are very nice, but I think they should do something about small kids that move slow on the water slides because they are too light. This makes the lines long and also is not fun for the kids because they basically gets stuck in the slides, this is a problem for the blue whale water slide, the other blue slide, red slide, white/green and white/yellow slide. Maybe more water is a solution?overall, I really like the selection of different water slides and with around 10 slides in the park this is great. I also like they have a large part for young kids to play with water. The food I considered quite affordable in the park, pastels for 12 real is great. The pay per Kilo restaurant is a bit on the expensive side. At the entrance they check you bags for dangerous items. The parking is well arranged in the park. The park claims to be an international park, but one of the things not possible is buying tickets on the creditcard of a non-brazilian person. One thing I miss is a pool that is around 2 meters deep such that you can jump well. I considered the toilets nicely clean. Lockers are decent size.
F. N — Google review
This is a small good place to enjoy. Slides are rather boring, no speed going down and long waiting times to enter. Food is reasonable quality and price. Buying the credits on the card for food is annoying and time consuming. There is 1 thing I really hate about the place (many Brazilian places do this!) when buying the tickets or upgrading your food card, they ask for your social security number. When you buy tickets online, after this process within 5 minutes to start calling and harassing you to sell you stuff. It should be forbidden by law. Asking your social security number is an insult and an infringement on your privacy.
Edwin K — Google review
We went there on a holiday, October, 2022. We arrived at around 9:20, but there were already a lot of people. Around noon, it’s too crowded. We needed to wait for everything, for example, water slider, cafeteria and bathroom. And also there was no enough space in the pool. In addition, their table and chair were limited, we secured it at 9:30. So it’s better to go there early time to save the table and chair. It’s great place for family but we recommend to consider the good date.

Just don't forget your swimsuit—unless you want to make 'living close to nature' a little too literal. The eco-friendly vibes here are so natural that even the ants seem to have a VIP pass to your romantic getaway. But hey, nothing says 'true love' like sharing your candlelit dinner with the local wildlife. Casorova isn't just a resort; it's an experience of nature and hydrodynamics. So pack light, get ready to rinse and repeat, and prepare for an unforgettable adventure. Bonus points if you leave looking like a wrinkled raisin from all the water exposure!

Located just 5 km from the city center, this natural spot is easily accessible and suitable for visits both on weekdays and weekends. It even hosts evening activities.
Lovely place to visit in São Carlos. Free entry. We spent 2 hours wandering around enjoying the beautiful surroundings which are really well maintained. Very tranquil slice of nature on the outskirts of the city. The animals and birds were lovely to see but the enclosures for most of them were too small which is unfortunate and should be addressed. Great place to bring kids and they have just built a lovely new playground.

Areia Que Canta

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Rural farmstay with a lake, offering water sports, fishing & dining, plus indoor & outdoor pools.
Well maintained resort near Brotas with lots of activities for adults and children. The room was fine and the grounds and staff were amazing. Several swimming pools, a short zip lining adveture, trails to hike, a gym and spa, kayaking, volleyball and basketball courts and tubing down a river. The food was amazing and offered 4 times a day. Great family atmosphere.

The place was different from anything I ever experienced but it had its pros and it’s cons. First with the cons, the rooms were nasty, that’s the only true way I could describe it. There we millions of ants in the bathroom and we even found a HUGE spider (which we later found out was poisonous) in our room. Also the doors nor the windows would close properly and would bang because of the wind. That made it very difficult to get sleep. The rooms were really the only cons so now with the pros. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone in my family (and we’re a big group) loved it. The service also was outstanding and we never ran out of things to do. From swimming, zip lining, going on trails, the gym, the spa, eating all the time, kayaking, paddle boating, going on water slides there was always something you wanted to do. The kids club was great for the kids and they were very welcoming and friendly. Overall this experience I would give a 3 or 4 star (only because of the rooms)!

Very well managed, facilities in pristine condition... Sports and aquatic activities are the staple, besides the famous small pond that the Guarani aquifer pumps up at a rate of 70k liters per hour. Guided visits and monitored activities all day. Form São Paulo, a little on the far side, so three days work best. I'll try to come back more times.

The best resort me and my family haver ever been, by far. The infrastructure, the nature, the hospitality, and all the lovely employees make the visit outstanding. The meals are served in buffet style and there is a huge variety, for all tastes. There are plenty of activities available all day long although I thoroughly recomend a visit to the " singing sand" fountain, which is in my opnion an unique experience (unmissable). I highly recomend for families, singles, and all kind of people regardless if you want a break on the routine or if you desire some adventure.

Price does not match the product and service. Although nature is beautiful and makes the place awesome, it's infrastructure, specially the rooms, does not match the price asked for the stay. The singing sand spring is off course, a nature gift to the place.

Very good natural place. A must see when you're at areia que canta! With guides you can go inside, the water is not cold. Very interesting experience to be inside

Nestled in a picturesque setting, Santa Maria do Monjolinho is a delightful destination that promises an unforgettable experience. The charm of this place lies not only in its stunning surroundings but also in the homemade meals served here. (Translated by Google) The place is beautiful, the food is home-made and good. Lunch is paid per person and you can eat as much as you want (dessert included). On Saturdays it is R$30.00/person and on Sundays it is R$35.00. There are plenty of food options, and many tables to sit at. It is close to the lawn, but there is no view/overlook while you eat lunch. It is worth seeing the animals that are released on the farm (turkey, chicken, cow, dogs). Cons: THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CARDS (credit or debit). About the mansion/museum: I thought it was worth it! There is a monitor who explains in detail the history of the time, showing historical objects (instruments of torture, old telephone, how the bathing routine was, music, transportation of commerce, etc.). To enter this mansion you have to pay 10 or 15.00, I don't remember (full price). You can pay half price. (Original) Lugar é lindo, comida bem caseira e boa. Almoço paga por pessoa e come quanto quiser (sobremesa incluída).
