in August 2024 we went to the Pernambuco arena to celebrate students' day, I went with my class to enjoy it, I really liked it there because I really like playing ball and it was a cool experience, one tip I say is get there early to enjoy it more.

It's a huge soccer stadium in the middle of nowhere. The infrastructure is great. Beautiful stadium field. If visiting, remember not to stay long, because you won't find restaurants or coffee places nearby.
Marcelo A — Google review
It is a historical place that I highly recommend visiting, if you are not interested in football you will still be able to have fun and will probably be interested in football, it does not have many negative points, an almost perfect place for people of any background to visit
João Z — Google review
On August 8, 2024, I and the people from the Patrícia Cardoso municipal school went to the Pernambuco arena. We got there, we saw several places with the help of the guide, we took several photos, we learned several things and I liked it because I really like football. Get to this place early because we arrived late and didn't get to enjoy it much.

On August 8, 2024, we took a class trip to the Pernambuco arena. We went with the school students. I got there, took a lot of photos and enjoyed it a lot. In my opinion, I recommend taking more from R$70 and here's a tip: don't step on the grass

(Translated by Google) The beach itself is a good option for those who are in Olinda or Recife and don't want to go to Porto de Galinhas to enjoy the beach. However, visitors need to be more careful. The water is clean and warm. This place is quieter because it is less crowded. It is 30 minutes from Olinda. (Translated by Google) The beach is interesting, with no apparent signs of pollution. The problem lies in the infrastructure, which leaves a little to be desired and, depending on the time of day, the excessive number of people. The strong points are the service at the beach huts, which offer plentiful food at a gourmet price. It is worth negotiating the price and type of fish before ordering.

Coroa do Avião is a charming sandbar located in front of Praia do Forte in Itamaraca, accessible by boat or on foot during low tide. Over time, the accumulation of sand has formed a small island with lush vegetation and beachside dining options. Visitors can enjoy sunset views, relax in hammocks under the shade of trees, and observe migrating birds. The journey to the island offers a peaceful and scenic experience, with various bars available for relaxation.

(Translated by Google) The beach is extremely polluted, there is a frightening amount of trash everywhere and many people leave more trash. In addition to the pollution in the water and sand, there is also noise pollution, a competition to see who can listen to the loudest music. I do not recommend it and I hope to never return. There are other beaches that deserve to be visited and enjoyed, but this one needs urgent help! (Translated by Google) A beautiful and peaceful island. Access is by boat or raft from Itamaracá or Maria Farinha. The route is peaceful and the view is wonderful. There are bars on the island, hammocks in the sea and you can walk to the tip of the island. I suggest you take a look before choosing where to stay, the prices vary and the service is the same. We ordered the dish with fish and sides, on average R$100.00 and it was delicious. The beer was warm, but they put a cooler with ice on the table. We only started to receive good service after a complaint. I would go back and recommend it, except for this annoyance due to the competition between establishments on the beach.

A well-organized beachside restaurant with clean bathrooms, attentive service, and well-prepared meals. The price is fair for the service they offer. I recommend spending the day there. Ingá Stone - PB

Archaeological site
Sights & Landmarks
Historic Sites
Beautiful stone with well preserved petrogplyphs from the indiginous people. The stone is a bit in the middle of no where and when we visited we were the only people. There is a total of four places were you can clearly see petroglyphs. The main stone carving resembles a flood with a wave, followed by plants, palms and people. Some stone carvings also seem to represent stars. The site also has an information panel and many trees/plants have an information sign explaining what the plant is. There is also a small museum with an entrance of 5 real. Overall, really worth visiting this archeoligical site. The entrance is surprisingly free and the access road is in good conditions. The walking path to and around the Ingá stone are in good condition but some places might be difficult to walk for older people.

The Ingá Stone is located in the middle of the Ingá River in the small Brazilian city of Ingá (know you know how it got its name). What is it? It’s a rock formation that is covered with petroglyphs (or stone picture carvings). The prehistoric carvings were done over time and the most recent additions may have been added as recently as the 18th Century—all done by local native tribes. The meaning and/or purpose of these carvings is unknown and undeciphered. Some of the carvings resemble animals, fruits, the Orion Constellation and other less-easily distinguishable figures. The carvings are also known as the Itacoatiara do Ingá (pronounced: “EEta- cwa – tiara”), which is the name in the Tupi language of the original natives. “Ita” means stone and “coatiara” means picture. This is not the only such site with carvings in this part of Brazil, but it is one of the biggest. Still, when we visited, there was nobody here. The northeast of Brazil is less-visited by tourists than the south; this site sits 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the capital of the state, so that also contributes to the lack of tourism, but that’s good for you if you do go! To get there, the roads aren’t bad and you can find it on your Waze or Google Maps. I was really impressed with this site and I was very glad I visited. If you’re anywhere near here, you really should come visit.

The Museu de Arte Popular da Paraíba is a vibrant celebration of the region's folk art, showcasing the incredible creativity and craftsmanship of local artists. Housed in a stunning building designed by Oscar Niemeyer, this museum features an array of exhibits that include ceramics, textiles, and screen printing. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich artistic traditions of Paraíba while enjoying free entry—donations are appreciated! The museum also offers insights into local culture through displays on music and traditional attire.
Art museum run by a university. Free entry but donations are welcome. Nice to see if you are in the area. Had display for a fmous singer with 3 sections: history, music and artifacts. We spent about 20-30 minutes there. Staff was very nice and walked us around.

Nice museum designed by Oscar Niemeyer. When we visited only a third of the building was showing art, the other two, they were preparing for the June party. The art we saw was mainly about screen printing of art. This place has free entrance. Lastly, a good view over the lake.

(Translated by Google) Hello, my Campina Grande, whoever saw you and whoever sees you will never recognize you again :) We were in Campina Grande, Paraíba, on August 7, 2024, after approximately 10 years. * It was a true reunion of souls, as I'm from Campina Grande, and revisiting the city brought back many special memories from the time I lived there for 18 long years. * We visited the Açude Velho, which for me is Campina Grande's most beautiful landmark. The place is stunning, right in the heart of the city. The promenade around the reservoir is widely used for walking, running, cycling, and events, offering a safe, spacious, and pleasant space for those who enjoy outdoor physical activities. * The surrounding nature, the view of the buildings, and the incredible sunset make the place even more special. It's easy to understand why it's one of the city's main tourist attractions. Besides the scenery, there are historical sites nearby, two museums, and the Parque da Criança (Children's Park) nearby. There are also parking spaces, making visiting the area much easier. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and kiosks. It's definitely worth visiting or revisiting. A true symbol of Campina Grande, it makes for great photos and memories.

They only offer 1 sample for their cachaça range and it was very disappointing as we were expecting to try at least a couple or 3 of them to decide which ones to buy. I have been told that in past you had the option to do exactly that and actually try multiple samples of different types of cachaça. I am giving 3 stars instead of 2 just because the place looks pretty and instagrammable, although not worth the 25 reais entry fee.

Nice place to visit and see production of chachaca. Some samples are provided for the $R10 admission. The tour was poorly organized. Nice lake with boats there! There are vendors lining the road before entry to the engenho, so beware of them before you do the tour. Ice cream was different.

Dozens of enormous boulders scattered on a plateau with panoramic views over an arid landscape.
Very nice location. Be aware you can only access trough Cabaceiras. Google may guide you via the 412 and Aldeia but that road is closed. You need to buy tickets at Hotel Faizenda Pia Mateus. Guide is included in ticket price. Guide speaks Portuguese only.
Ronald B — Google review
First, this is a difficult place to visit. A group guide is required, that is available only at the fazeda (hotel) near the entrance. Secondly, know that reaching the hotel involves driving about 45 minutes on rough gravel roads. The tour is set-time, staring at 4:00 PM and ending after dark. Thus you are driving back to the paved road on dark gravel roads. Now for the tour. The group will walk a couple of miles with a serious incline. This is not mountain climbing, but rigorous for old and fat people. The group stops at various location to observe the "Flintstones" terrain. There are indeed odd rocks, massive boulders scattered about. Nothing comparable in the USA. The end of the walk is on top, with a perfect view of the surrounding valley and sunset. Take lots of photos. Tnis is highly recommended, if the logistics are not too scary. Oh, if you want you can eat and lodge at the hotel. This will avoid the nighttime drive back across the unpaved roads.

Beiral is located at the very point of the promontory and offers a superb view. We have gone there for many (20+) years and enjoyed the ambience and food. The service, while friendly enough, was always slow and spotty, but the food was good, especially the broths (caldos). In recent times, the place has deteriorated. They inexplicably decided to take up some of the choicest space up front with a kiddie pool that fills up with screaming children and some scrawny dog roams the premises, begging at tables. Customers are also allowed to bring lap dogs into the restaurant and their incessant yapping is blithely tolerated. The owners need to decide who they wish to serve: Humans or dogs. The place next door has the same view, similar service and food, but is cleaner.

(Translated by Google) Ponta Grossa Beach in Icapuí is a great option for those who like more secluded/calmer beaches. The place is beautiful and has an incredible sunset over the dunes! At the restaurant located very close to the beach, you can take a buggy and quad bike ride. The buggy ride includes several beaches in the region and is a two-hour ride, ending at the dunes; the ride costs on average 200/250 reais (payments accepted in cash and by debit/credit card). The company I used for the tour was Canaã Turismo and the buggy driver was very attentive.

(Translated by Google) There are natural pools, but with rocks, a good walk with beautiful landscapes, a lot of seaweed on the beach can be smelly, but only for a short space before Ponta Grossa beach. It is best to take a buggy ride for up to 3 hours in the morning, and if the tide is low you can go along the beach. There is no place near the beach with infrastructure that offers shops, restaurants, swimming pools...

(Translated by Google) Ponta Grossa Beach in Icapuí, a beautiful natural cliff that will leave you speechless. There is no infrastructure for beach huts, so the beach is calm, especially at sunset. In the morning, there are some people selling drinks and snacks; the shrimp barbecue is delicious! A great beach for taking pictures, thanks to its landscape.

(Translated by Google) A place with lush nature, where you can see everything from dunes to the seashore, cliffs, reefs and the view provided by the movement of the tides. When the tide is low, if you head to the right, you can access Redonda beach. In Ponta Grossa, you have options for restaurants, accommodation, buggy rides, quad bike rides and more. I had the opportunity to have lunch, and the fish was very well served and at a fair price. A very good place to spend a weekend.

(Translated by Google) A fantastic place, where nature reveals its fullness! In Ponta Grossa we can experience incredible experiences: trails in the mangroves and dunes, contemplating the manatees, buggy and boat rides and visits to the archaeological collection. In addition, it is imperative to enjoy a relaxing bath in the calm sea. Ponta Grossa has a good lodging and food structure. (Original) Um lugar fantástico, onde a natureza revela sua plenitude! (Translated by Google) I loved the beach. It's a paradise-like and well-preserved place. There you can find lobster skewers and boat trips that take you to see the fish. Just one thing to keep in mind: Do this trip between 8 and 9 in the morning, because when the tide is high it's not a good trip. You can get hurt because of the corals, you swallow a lot of water and the guides encourage you to do it later, but it's not comfortable or safe for you. I have bruises on both arms and my back because I hurt myself, and I cut my toe. (Original) Amei a praia.
