Great palace to walk around for a little bit, the art gallery is nice. Best part was seeing the history and old photos of the palace itself.

It is one of Argentina's most important museums. Works in its collection covers history of arts in Argentina. Has guided tours and workshops. It is located in a historic building that has amazing architecture and located on the river bank with scenic views. Worth a visit. Popular with tourists. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Toilets available. Easy terrain, lot of easy walking. Great place for photography.

Museo de Arte de Tigre impresses with excess. To experience the type of extravagance that only too much money could buy back at the beginning of the 1900s. Excess on this scale happens so rarely that it'd be a shame to miss the spectacle. The museum exhibitions are amazing as well.

Beautiful, awesome. When I visited, the museum was closed, but I got great pictures at Museo de Bellas Artes at Tigres, Argentina. It looks like a European Castle, built by a French architect. It's a place with culture and history. I called it the Argentinian Howarts because this place has been used for films.

Fun Day! Food isn't allowed inside but you can keep it as there's locker facility is available. Rides were super fun. It was sunny day and water sprinklers were saviors!! There was waiting line at the entrance but it was fast so it takes usually like 10 mins.

It's a good place for kids to play all different games and activities. Teenagers can enjoy their time. In Tigre, the boat ride experience is good. And a lot shopping stolls.

What an absolute joke of a place. First of all: tickets are sold online & in person on the day. They have a functional website listing all their promotions & out of services rides. We traveled to the park on a Sunday 28/09/2025, 4 adults & 1 child, they had 3 rides out of order but the tickets to enter remained full price, supposedly they had a 3x2 tickets offer, which is an absolute joke as well- we paid for this promotion $65,600 ARG PESO cash for 2 adults & 1 child, their website states that the individual passport normally cost $28,700 plus service fee of roughly $6000 arg peso Long queue to purchase tickets, longer queue to enter & have your bags inspected as food & drinks are not permitted, you queue minimum of 90minutes to 2hrs for each game. We entered at 12pm & existed at 7pm but only managed to ride TWO games only, what an absolute joke & scam of locals hard earn money but also a sour taste for the tourist too (like myself) Different options available for food & drinks inside however all OVERPRICED & poor quality such as the empanadas we purchased- they listed a promotion of 3 empanadas plus 1 drink for $9500 ARG peso - total scam again! Toilets were clean & well maintained. Parking is available on the streets or paid parking too.

A complete rip off! Main attractions have min 2h queue… average 2h 30min, up to 3h. Throwing money out of the window would be more fun.

The time stood still here. Outdated theme park from the 90’s. You see a lack of maintenance. During our visit often an attraction stopped working. The park clearly needs to be renovated. Waiting lines were ok, but the variety in attractions is sad. Not a theme park as you would expect. Restaurant is a throwback to the 80’s. Considering that the entrance ticket is expensive, you should expect more or at least a good maintenance.

We stopped by the semi open air market place / shopping mall on our way to a tour of the Tigre Delta. There were one or two interesting shops with things we could never pack, but in general, our idea of touring doesn't involve any shopping so this was not a highlight for us. For others on the tour, it was like a shoppers paradise with all sorts of touristy things. We enjoyed walking around and looking at the working ships at the docks.

It is a very nice local attraction for a day trip from Buenos Aires, my friend and I really enjoyed the river cruise and the local cuisine and coffeehouses! Cheers!

Cool but I expected more. Its insanely big and lively BUT the variety is awful I felt like I kept walking past the same shop just branded differently. Plus it was hard to find local artisanal shops.. most seemed to sell imported goods.. which is not what I was looking for. Very nice market with rich history. Its perfect for a day trip from Buenos Aires. I enjoyed it with a couple of friends, browsing through the nice little shops and enjoying a boat trip on the river. There is also a rollercoadter park and a museum close by that you could check out in one go. 😊

expect a 15 to 20 minutes wait before getting a table. the restaurant and the service are nice, but to be honest i was still a bit hungry after having the main dish (Ramen).

The view is the best part of this place, but the rest was disappointing. We went there for lunch after visiting the Japanese Garden, expecting a nice tourist-friendly experience. The food was average at best, and the service was not good. No one spoke English, and the staff didn’t really try to help or understand, which was surprising for a place that clearly gets many tourists. I also asked if there were any discounts for garden visitors. They told me that if you reserve a table at the restaurant, you can visit the garden for free. But if you buy a ticket to the garden first, you don’t get any discount at the restaurant. That policy felt confusing and a bit unfair. In the end, the view was lovely—but everything else didn’t live up to it. The most important for the restaurant - the food and simply isn’t worth going there for.

Extremely overrated, the food was not the best… the rice, the service super bad, so impersonal for such as high price… I was told that it was going to be more tradicional, with the culture, the way they serve it…👎 And is even worst with the robot that it taking it so un personal… It feels like an ambience that want to pack with people with such high price compared to the other restaurants that are on the zone. No recommended at all. Bad service and not the best food for such as high price.

It's a Japanese themed restaurant with a nice view, but far from authentic Japanese cuisine. honestly disappointed, was expecting something much better and akin to what they are representing. The building is nice, well decorated and it has direct access to the Japanese Garden (日本庭). You're received and seat by a waiter. We ordered 2 entrees which were good. The main dishes however were lacking in flavor (miso ramen in particular). The desserts were also so-so, the matcha (green tea) ice cream flavor was bland compared to the real thing, yet times more expensive. The personnel were OK but they kinda rushed everyone to eat and get out, as fast as possible. So, as I said and by the score I'm giving. It wasn't awful, it was OK, but I was expecting much better, specially for the price. I think they could really do much better and are missing on providing a more real experience.

Visited here as part of a guided tour. There aren’t many tours in English, and their timings didn’t suit my tight schedule, so I opted for a tour in Spanish. Although I couldn’t fully understand the narrative, I fully appreciated the stunning architecture, stained glass, statues etc. Everyone talks about the amazing acoustics, so the tour left me wanting to return to see a performance.

Great experience for the theater built in 1908. I do recommend the tour if you have 1 hour to spend. It's a nice mix of history and time for taking pictures of different areas of the theater. This includes going into one of the balconies as well. I suggest purchasing tickets in advance. We walked up and had to get tickets that were for 2 hours later.

Absolutely breathtaking! The Teatro Colón is one of the most beautiful theaters I’ve ever visited. The english guided tour is hard to book from their official online site. So my wife and I just went to the theater to try our luck second time this morning, we got our tickets over the ticket office. I had my doubt since I had been in couple of top opera houses in Vienna, but It was worth it. The internal decor is fine with baroque style since there are architect from France. The present Colón replaced an original theatre which opened in 1857. During the tour we had chance to hear female soprano rehearsal for 5 minutes which is huge bonus as I see it, then I could hear clearly pure and beautiful sound at back of the theater. I really wish I could have a chance to listen to a real opera here.

A mixed bag, but more negatives than positives… ❌ Extremely overpriced unless you’re an Argentine citizen. There’s no free entry and it’s super expensive. ❌ The staff are some of the rudest least helpful people I’ve ever come across. ✅ It is an interesting place to look around, even though as a European most of the famous people were not famous to me. ❌ The state of some of the graves is disgusting, they are literally being used as rubbish dumps with empty paint cans and plastic bags dumped on top of coffins. I have no idea how they are spending the exorbitant entrance fees but it’s not on respecting the dead who are buried here.

I love visiting cemeteries when visiting large cities, as they give great insight into the history and culture of the people. This cemetery is spectacular. I joined an English guided tour with Victoria, who was engaging and funny, recounting both the stories and the folklore that had built up around some of the mausoleum. Absolutely fascinating. A great way to spend 2-3 hours.

This is a must visit spot but I recommend getting a local guide as it is all rather meaningless with proper explanations. The mausoleums are a walk through the history of Argentina and of course you can see its most famous inhabitant - Eva Peron though her mausoleum is one of the least impressive of the lot. We spent a couple of hours here with a guide that we hired at the entrance.

A really unique place and well worth a visit. It feels more like an open-air museum than a cemetery, with amazing sculptures, grand tombs, and a lot of history. On my previous trip to Buenos Aires before C-19, you were allowed to go inside. They had guided tours. I believe they have stopped this now. However, it is still worth going to see the exterior of this historical building. Throughout the history of Buenos Aires, the location of Casa Rosada was the seat of various successive political authorities who governed the country. The first thing you are likely to notice is the distinctive colour. It was from the balcony here, at the presidential palace, that Eva Perón famously addressed the throngs of impassioned supporters packed into Plaza de Mayo.

The town was very nice. Close to wineries, although I wasn't able to fit that in. It is more for couples and families then it is for nightlife. Quiet and relaxing. One or two days is all you need.

If you want to get a nice picture for the entire town, you have to get up there, and I am calling it the "Million Dollars View". The stairs are very steep, and they don't allow people wearing sandals in for safety reasons.

Nice old colonial town, there are a lot of bars and restaurants, you can climb the lighthouse, walk the original streets and spend easily half a day waiting perhaps for the ferry to Buenos Aires. The old town is situated just a few blocks away from the ferry and bus terminal.

This is a highly photographed street. It's picturesque and had a nice contrast of colors. It is beautiful. There are always people during the day, I arrived after sunrise to photograph this street and it was still empty at the time.

Save your money, not worth it the outrageous prices for everything. Only redeeming features are the view and they have dogs. Food was below average. Proprietors sat outside and smoked the whole time we were there. Prices are just silly expensive. There are a variety of stores, places to eat, bars and places to hang out. Prior to its rebirth as an urban shopping venue, it was a collection point for farm produce. I remember being able to drive into the building, where there were stacks of fruit and vegetable crates. Now you can buy US$1500 per bottle wines at Iber if you have bank. Nice meat market and “chicken boutique” (I’m not kidding!). Have a chivito in the food court and top it off with an ice cream sundae! The neighborhood of the market has also been upgraded, though it retains a bit of the urban grit that characterized its now distant past. Convenient parking out front but bring some small bills to tip the attendants. Les Halles in Paris are long gone, but Mercado Agricola still lives.

A really nice market and place to go try new food, buy your groceries for the day, fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry and so much more. There are mini-markets, a pharmacy, two nice coffee shops, various fast food places, pizza places and a whole bunch of other choices for your lunch or dinner. Is also a nice place to visit for a while, it’s big and spacious. It has a place for kids, however it’s not the best place to bring kids specifically, it’s more of a family plan. The only downside is that it is a noisy place when it’s crowded, acoustics don’t help the space when there too many people talking together.

I have to say this is wonderful place to visit if you are like me, a wine lover. We visited for our anniversary, and shuttle trip is only 30 USD from Montevideo per person. Not only the wines are fantastic, the food is as great as the drink. The tour after the meal is very informative and you will learn about the winery make their wines. For the record, highly recommend to buy some of their reversed wine from the winery, as you can’t find them in the store in town.

A must go place when you are in Piriapolis !!! it is at a good height and the view is great from here , the shops near by are little expensive but thats alright and usual in all the tourist locations .

If you don’t have your own transport it’s not really worth it. It’s a small display and although it was easy enough to get there if it wasn’t for the lovely security lady calling a taxi, it would have been an issue to get back! It’s free to visit but taxis were pricey and ultimately it’s not worth it. The place needs some TLC and maybe a bit more info in English but I translated what was there.

Well, it's on your way to Piriapolis, so you might as well spend a few minutes there. But there is not much to see. Just a small castle. I found many families resting under the shade of the trees there, having pick nicks. It's serene, quite place.

Interesting in term of history and culture, but there is no so much thing to do and see. Park is great to have a break in the afternoon. All access is free (parking for car and entrance).

It’s a nice place to visit in autumn or spring, but you should definitely avoid it in summer, as there’s no air conditioning nor shadows, and the visit can be extremely unpleasant with high temperatures. The building is not big and it’s not fancy either, but is has some wonderful views from the inside, where you can see the hills around from the first floor. It’s located about ten minutes by car from Piriápolis, so it’s a nice place to go if you’re tired of the beach. I believe that it’d be great if they made some maintenance of the building, as it’s more than 100 years old. They could charge a small fee for the visit in order to keep it restored.

A fantastic property with a great potential to be a major tourist attraction in Uruguay. But the place really needs to be included in some government budgets, to reach this potential. Mabel was a dedicated guide!

Must go. The nature landscape is breathtaking, and the sunset with the audio experience of Paez Vilaro reading his poem to the sun, is mind blowing. This a remarkable experience, worth every second. Buy tickets in advance and plan your visit close to the sunset hour, so you can do the museum tours and safe a good spot for the sunset spectacle.

Visited the museum only, and it was one of the most unique museums I have been to! Spectacular views, nice cafe/bar with the views to the sea to enjoy the sunset. Friendly staff (not to mention even playful kitties around!), really recommend :)

What an amazing property. We didn’t stay in the hotel, but we were able to walk the grounds by visiting the museum and eating at the restaurant whilst we enjoyed the sunset ceremony. The drive from Montevideo took 2 hours, but didn’t feel like that at all as the views kept getting better and better the further we kept going. Then boom - views for days. I have no words for how beautiful and ambitious this whole place is. We got there just in time as they were about to close. Right after we finished walking the grounds, we found a table right outside that was perfectly located with a view of the sunset. We had just gotten our food as the sunset ceremony was about to begin. Let me tell you something. Hearing Carlos Páez Vilaró talk about the sun and thanking it with the beautiful words he used got me all verklempt. Sure did end up sitting there with tears of joy as the sun fully went down. We went to town on the pizza and salad we got after finishing our cocktails. Man, that pizza was perfection. The second we left the property, I told myself I’d be back.

A Hidden Gem with Major Flaws I recently visited Casa Pueblo, and while the architecture is stunning and the location breathtaking, the overall experience was disappointing. The entrance fee of $14 per person feels steep, especially if you just want to grab a meal without visiting the museum. Unfortunately, the lunch experience was far from enjoyable—think more culinary mystery than local flavor. Toilets without soap or water? Check. A friendly yet unprofessional staff? Double check. And the terrace? Let’s just say it had some “surprises” under the tables. It’s a shame that such an iconic place isn’t being maintained properly. If you’re after beautiful art and architecture, Casa Pueblo is a must-see, but be prepared for a few unexpected quirks!

Stopped here on a day trip for photo ops. Definitely worth the stop. Would I pay to come and see this all by itself, probably not.

Sadly we arrived by bus on a tour from the ship. The driver parked down the shore and was rushing us. I needed at least 30-60 minutes here just to take in the architecture. I never made it inside the property but what I saw through the gates , behind the guard, looked amazing. I will have to return not on a rushed bus tour .

Beautiful location to visit if it is your first time in Punta del Este. They have the most amazing views. My boyfriend and I went here on our first date so it is a very important place for me. It is a nice place to go with a date, friends or family. Make sure to visit Casa Pueblo if you are ever in Punta Ballena.

Very good experience at this winery. People took time to explain what they sre doing and tasting was well narrated. Food was may be okay, but overpriced. Typically, you will pay up for a kick at such places, but we were underwhelmed with all dishes and they appeared to us quite bland. Surprisingly the cheaper Tenant Cemento was better tasting vs 3 times more expensive one. Chardonnay 2015 was not good for $27. All prices are in the US$. App for $18, mains for @$40, deserts aare for $15. Wines are starting at @$40. Interesting point, they have caviar service with Champaign....very unusual, full spread goes for $375.

Just an incredible place. Beautiful setting in the middle of rolling hills. Unfortunately that's where it all ends. Tour was less than interesting. Then worse was the wine tasting. How you can possibly have someone who knows nothing about your wines. Nor speaks clear Spanish or English be the person who serves your wines to your visitors. Mine you this is not a cheap experience. Truly a shame!! We were sat in a beautiful setting. Then our wines served all the same time. No explanation, no personally, no interaction nothing. We were 4 people and only given appetizers for 3. Ridiculous attention and you might as well bring a bag of potato chips for what you get. The only feed back and interest was when we approached the bar and started talking to the girl behind counter. She told us more and let us try other wines. Which we ended up buying. Sorry, because of our experience. I can not recommend anyone waste their time nor money at Vina Eden.

While cards are accepted, if you need to do a bank transfer, you’ll have to connect to Wi-Fi from a nearby location where you book the ropeway. The staff handling the ropeway were very helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. For food, the Parador restaurant is a great stop, offering a solid menu with good options. It’s the perfect place to recharge after your adventures. However, if you're heading to Agua del Penitente, be extra cautious—the road is slippery. Unfortunately, we witnessed someone take a serious fall, which was a stark reminder of how important it is to watch your step in these rugged areas. Despite the few challenges, this place is packed with adventure, making it a fantastic destination for thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike. Highly recommended for those looking for an exciting and scenic getaway!

One of the best nature spots in the country. Beautiful waterfall that runs through a rock channel into a pond with hills all around. Great spot for a picnic, to relax, or do some of the activities they offer.

With a beautiful lake and wonderful waterfall, Salto del Penitente is a gorgeous site to visit while in Uruguay. The hike to the different locations on the site is short, yet a bit steep to go to the waterfall. There are also zipline attractions in the site, though a very short glide.
