Beach
Nature & Parks
Antunes Beach is a picturesque and relaxed destination in Maragogi, Alagoas. It is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, natural pools, and coral reefs, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and diving. The beach offers a calm atmosphere, ideal for families and those seeking relaxation. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of beachside stalls offering food and drinks, as well as the option to rent umbrellas and chairs.
Excellent beach. Clear and calm waters. You can walk to the corals when the tide is low (5km aprox) There are small bars that rent a table with beach umbrella and chairs as long as you need only by consuming a 'petisco' (which is a kind of fast food). There are also 'beach vendors' that provides ice creams, 'cocadas' (kind of sweet cookie made from coconut and condensed milk, excellent), coconut water... etc. You'll also find kids selling their art, or at least expecting you to see how they create their art, they are awesome.
Florencia G — Google review
The beach itself is very beautiful, but too crowded for my likings. Hard to get there and find a place to relax without receiving offers of tours, jet ski, food, etc.

Maragogi Natural Pools in Alagoas, Brazil, are a set of well-preserved pools with shallow and crystal-clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling among the coral. The most famous pool is the Welsh, which is the largest in the region and can be reached by boat or hired tours with guides from local agencies. These pools offer opportunities to snorkel or dive amidst clear waters, colorful fish, and coral formations.
Best of the best. I've really enjoyed
Ferhat I — Google review
Beautiful place where we can see clear water and several fishes. But it depends on weather and people crowded. It tales 20 to 30 minutes to reach here by boat. I recommend to take snorkel set.
Papipupenta — Google review
Super crowded (over 10 boats to a pool) with very low visibility. The place is an absolute money grab, the companies simply want to sell you snorkling, photos, drinks, everything you can imagine once you are in the water with them... besides that there service is just unfriendly. Do not recommend it as it is a waste of money that is causing more harm than good to the environment. It might have been good in the past but now is simply a circus of boats and prople selling you stuff in the water. '
Pedro B — Google review
Without a doubt a must visit situation. The natural pools are amazing. Take care that you ask for the correct times. You need to make sure you get a catamaran. The service and prices are the beach are okay, nothing to crazy and as expected.
O K — Google review
I have done 2 tours and both of them were so full of people. Maragogi is overrated 100%. City does not infrastructure needed / swming pool - the visibility is low in some points and definatly they is not fish diversity. I saw people diving with cilindro in less than 1 meter depth. Until now was the worse place that I have been. Too Many people they try to seel you everything even to take pictures. Sao Miguel dos milagres is smaller but the tours over there to swimming pool were nicer .
Ana S — Google review
Ok, nothing special. Brown coral, perhaps three or four species of fish. Nice for an hour or so. Glad it wasn't far and was relatively cheap.

Patpodologa@hotmail.com M — Google review
(Translated by Google) An intimate place to stay. Exclusive environment, since the surrounding inns are not accessible to everyone and neither are the remains to eat. The place itself is very good, the room has everything you need to be comfortable: good mattress, good shower, large bathroom, good air conditioning. Breakfast is very good and complete. However, there are no markets in the surrounding area where you can buy food or even a bottle of water, so you must pay what the inn requests. This particular accommodation, because it is small and not on the beach, tries to provide you with lounge chairs and an umbrella. Anyway, at lunch time, you end up looking for a hostel, because the place does not provide food. And since in those places they give you the umbrella and the lounge chair with the drink you end up staying there, hahaha... at least that's how it happened to us... The beach is nice, you can walk to the natural pools, I recommend wearing water shoes now there are hidden urchins and sharp corals under the water. The beach may not appeal to everyone, since the dynamics are determined by the rise and fall of the tide... for many hours the water reaches your knees no matter how much you walk (a kilometer leisurely). Happy stay! Feliz estancia!

Association / Organization

Association Manatee, also known as Associacao Peixe Boi, is a marine conservation organization in Porto de Pedras that offers educational opportunities such as boat tours and manatee sightings. Established in 2009 by local community guides, the association aims to preserve the endangered species and raise environmental awareness in local schools through partnerships with ICMBio. They do a really amazing job in helping to preserve and take care of the manatees injured. The tour was really informative and you can see the manatees in the river, also the ones receiving treatment. It is totally worth supporting them doing the tour.

Milagres do Toque Beach Club

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Milagres do Toque Beach Club offers a great experience for enjoying Praia do Toque. The beach club provides a cozy and clean environment with various amenities such as live music, a clean pool, restaurant, small shops, dive spot, beach access, full bar, gazebos, and massages. Visitors can enjoy delicious food and good drinks while receiving superb service. Additionally, the club offers activities like snorkeling and cruises to natural pools at an affordable price.
Our family had an amazing experience at the Milagres do Toque Beach Club. The location is stunning, with pristine beaches and a relaxing atmosphere. The infrastructure is top-notch, providing all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable day. The service was exceptional; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome. Overall, it's a perfect spot for families to unwind and create wonderful memories together. We highly recommend it!

Huge disappointment. First of all, if you’re going to invest millions into developing a beach club priced so high that locals can’t afford it, at least invest in better roads to access it. We showed up and were told it was closed. This made no sense as it was shown as open everywhere online. Not worth it at all!

Great experience. Very nice way to enjoy praia do Toque. Stayed at the tables on the beach (which do not cost extra). Delicious food (crunchy shrimp and the shrimp and octopus duo were very good) and good drinks. Superb service. They set us up with a cruise to the natural pools for R$80 each person. Good snorkeling.
Vinicius P — Google review
Live music they have every day from about 12-4 always sounds the same and is ridiculously loud. Hurts the ears of patrons and pollutes the calm natural environment of the beach and nearby hotels. Only in Brazil would this be allowed… unfortunate.

(Translated by Google) Tabuba Beach, in Barra de Santo Antônio (AL), is a destination that deserves a 5-star rating for its natural beauty and tranquility. The calm sea, with stretches of crystal-clear water and natural pools at low tide, creates a perfect setting for both families and those looking to relax without the hustle and bustle of more famous beaches. The wide, clean stretch of sand, surrounded by coconut trees, creates a rustic and welcoming atmosphere. Although it still maintains a simpler atmosphere, it offers a few tent options that ensure a comfortable stay, without losing the feeling of direct contact with nature. Its proximity to Paripueira and a short distance from Maceió also make it easy to access, reinforcing its value as a tourist destination. It's a place that combines beauty, tranquility, and convenience, while remaining authentic and unpretentious.

At low tide you can go to the natural pools, be careful of jellyfish, there are many near the fishermen. (Take vinegar with you to wash your face in case you touch one). Many turtles too, a captivating scene. Now the restaurants... many leave a lot to be desired! The vast majority are either destroyed or dirty, with terrible service, very slow staff, bad and expensive food. And as a bonus if you don't pay attention to the bill... You pay a lot more. Always check the entire bill!!! Tip: Bring your own snacks, your own cooler and enjoy paradise. May the City Hall and the Health Department check these restaurants. And close the ones that are no longer able to survive. They need to improve a lot to be good. Verifiquem sempre toda a conta !!! Praia de Sonho Verde is a stunning beach destination that offers a serene and tranquil atmosphere, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends and family. With its mesmerizing natural beauty and calm waters, this beach has been a favorite spot for visitors since 1976. The absence of large crowds adds to the appeal of this 'Green Dream' beach. As the tide rises, the beauty of Praia de Sonho Verde becomes even more captivating.
I have been going to Sonho verde starting in 1976. This is by far the best beach for its natural beauty and calm waters. No big crowds and a real Green Dream as the namesake. I have been a property owner since 2006 and will be building next to Sonho verde very soon.

It is a sea that starts to get rougher after 5 o'clock, but there is still a part in front where the fishermen are in water up to their waists (for this you need to know the tide and the level). (Translated by Google) Sonho Verde beach is in Paripueira. We got there using the Paradise Bar and Restaurant support point. We went early in the morning to take advantage of the low tide and the immense rock formations in the area, where you can walk a long way into the sea, see several species of marine life, take some good photos and enjoy the little beach that forms there. It was excellent. It didn't even seem like we were 200 meters from the beach. The strip of sand is not that big, so when the tide comes in it's hard to walk. So it's important to always check the tide table to avoid surprises. It was a great day of photos and memories of this wonderful beach in Alagoas. For those who are in doubt, we recommend setting aside at least one day and enjoying everything this place has to offer. Tips: check the tide table, and if you're going to walk on the rock formations, don't go barefoot. In addition to the sea urchins, the rocks can cause cuts and falls.

Hibiscus Beach Club in Maceió is a beachfront complex that offers a variety of experiences. During the day, visitors can enjoy seafood, cocktails, and lounging on the beach. The club also provides boat tours, massages, and activities for kids. At night, it transforms into a lively party spot with DJs. There are two distinct areas to relax: the intimate lounge with gazebos and the beach area with a pier, hammocks, and a kids' space.
Great place, specially if you have small children, lovely place with all the necessary support and amenities. The beach is quite nice and and is even secluded, so apart from the people at the Club there will not be many people around. Best thing is to arrive early to get one of the gazebos. Otherwise it will be only the tables left. Great view!

Overpriced for what’s on offer If you are driving there be prepared to have your car scratching under on every single bump you must pass. I have ordered Fried Cassava, typical food in Brazil and have been served the frozen one for twice the price anywhere else. The very minimum to expect from the prices they charge is first class ingredients. With so many local produce they could really make an effort on buying fresh macaxeira.

We got there at 2:30 pm and were charged 15 € just to get in and just sit around a restaurant? The rest is just plastic chairs and nothing special. I don’t get the concept? We won’t come back as there are much nicer and authentic places around.

The place was rather abandoned when we went there off season. If you are a stranger and look like that, the taxi drivers will probably try to rip you off... between 20 and 25 RS for going and returning would still be a very good price for them. The parque could have some more information within but in general I consider it a place worth to visit, the view over the surroundings if definetly great. The run intermunicipal buses from Maceió Rodoviaria for 13 RS (one way), if you want to do this as a daytrip excursion. Then you have to take a moto taxi for some kilometers from town center.

(Translated by Google) There are no words to describe what I felt in this place. It was the best tour I've ever taken here in Alagoas. Anyone who appreciates cultural tourism, especially ancestral tourism, needs to visit this place. Every Brazilian needs to learn about the origins of our people. It's not just a place, it's an energetic portal. I emphasize: you need a local guide; take the guided tour; the experience is unmissable. My guide was Mano Gil, Instagram @manogilldoquilombo, and he was fantastic. He's a local teacher and a capoeira master, born and raised in Serra da Barriga. Oral tradition is where the most incredible and personal stories are told, so this tour should be mandatory. There were people there without a guide, talking nonsense, a superficial visit. So before you go, book a local guide, especially Mano Gil. The place is incredible, a true spiritual sanctuary. I already want to go back for the November 20th celebration. Dirty beach, old infrastructure and weird local people and beggars. I do not recommend for a family. Plain awful. The water is disgusting and it is unclear as to whether the water is muddy or if it is sewage. Definitely worth a visit! Wonderful beach for long walks (over 5km if you want!). The ocean is warm and the reef provides a safe area for swimming and snorkeling. Praia do Gunga

Beach
Nature & Parks
This picturesque beach on a peninsula features swimming, boating, coconut trees & eateries.
A nice place with beautiful beach and all sorts of facilities to make the time more enjoyable. Lots of activities offered and a wide variety of food with affordable prices. However, experience can be negatively impacted with the amount of sellers offering the whole day for photo sessions, lottery cards, hats, biquinis, food, etc. Some common sense must be considered - we are there as tourists enjoying the time with family and are interrupted every 2/3 minutes. Very annoying.
Nicky F — Google review
Busy beach with lots of people and lots of things to do. Not my favorite to just sit at, but all of the adventures and food are great. Very beautiful area

Although the beach is beautiful, but the commercial environments are disappointing and unacceptable, all they want is to make every single penny from the tourist. When you wanted to pay the buggy by credit card, they additionally charge you 15%, when you pay by debit card, they additionally charge you 10%, when you wanted to pay by Pix, they do not accept, the only way they do not charge you more is by cash. We are only 5 people group, they wanted to charge us by 6 seats for the buggy. If you wanted to park your car, you have to pay 25 BRL. Absolutely, will never come this place again, everything is disappointing.

A MUST visit place if you are in Maceió, Brazil. The place not only offer the beautiful beach but have a lot of activities to do. To name few, buggy ride to the canyon, banana boat, helicopter ride, jet ski and other beach activities surely you will enjoy.

(Translated by Google) Good infrastructure, beautiful nature, and a well-organized place. I'm not giving it five stars because the music was very loud and in terrible taste. Both the music from the speakers and the live music, which consisted of a distorted keyboard and a singer, were bad. The bathrooms also deserve attention, as there are few of them and they are no longer in the best condition. (Original) Infraestrutura boa, natureza bonita e local bem organizado. (Translated by Google) I had already heard about the spa until I had the opportunity to go. When I went, it was a Friday and unfortunately the day was cloudy with some rain showers. I was able to enjoy it a lot, but the ideal day would be sunny and with blue skies, to make the most of the bathing. A wonderful place to go with family and/or friends, excellent facilities, attentive staff, the entrance fee, which costs R$80 (price informed in December/2023), includes breakfast and lunch, as well as the tours that are offered at the spa. It is best to arrive early to pay and enjoy all the facilities. Don't forget to try the açaí, which is wonderful. There is the largest açaí plantation in the state.

(Translated by Google) MY GOODNESS! I'd never seen a place like this before, everything in one place. The day is incredibly productive, there's always something great to do. The day I went there were 3 live bands. I was amazed by the quality of the food, better than many famous restaurants, and with 5 types of protein in a lunch that's included in the ticket price 🤯. You won't find anything like it anywhere else!! The things they sell outside are excellent value. Not to mention that the place is beautiful, lots of waterfalls, rivers and springs, a delightful day! I did everything and more, I intend to go back many more times. (Original) MINHA NOSSA!

(Translated by Google) The place is very beautiful and brings together the beauty of nature with the meeting of the river and the sea. The beach forms natural pools at low tide. What leaves something to be desired is the price. In addition to the high price, they charge an artistic cover charge without prior notice and the caipirinha we ordered had more ice than anything else. The price charged at the entrance includes lunch served at a buffet, which in my opinion was good.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach! Throughout the day, pools with warm water form. It meets the river, and it's not recommended to enter the river except in an area designated by security. Good facilities, with lounge chairs and live music. Pay R$120.00 for a day use, including lunch, which is a great value and offers a variety of quality food. We ordered juice and fries, and they charged a cover charge when we paid, which wasn't mentioned when we booked with the guide, and there's no notice about this charge. Otherwise, everything went well. There's a viewpoint and several wildlife such as monkeys, lizards, and herons. It's worth visiting on one day of your trip.
