We couldn't quite see the peaks of Merapi or Merbabu because of cloud, but still enjoyed some great views. The land use on the slopes is really interesting - of course farming due to fertile soils, but I was surprised by how many settlements there are and how high up they are. The restaurant served basic but nice food. The volcano movie is really old and needs a refresh.

If you happen to have half a day free in Yogya, take a car to drive around Merapi to enjoy landscape, villages and busy farmers providing fruit and food for the metropolis. Ketep Pass is a marvellous viewpoint on the volcanos and the terrasses. And if Merapi hides in the clouds, there is still a volcano museum about volcanism in Indonesia and Merapi itself. It deserves to be updated, as the 2010 eruption is not covered anymore and only few objects have an English explanation. But it is still worth visiting; there are hardly any foreigners and the cinema will be opened for you only. The film has English subtitles and is worth watching. Enjoy!

So crowded when we came at saturday, tough to find the parking area. But not so many attraction in this place, just a cool view the 2 fabolous mountain Merapi and Merbabu. 12,5 K IDR per person and pay more 9K IDR the get the 2nd level of the place to get higher view to the see the surrounding.

Our trip here was super impromptu but that's alright. They have a lot of posters and displays related to Mount Merapi but to be honest, they feel a bit outdated. They have a café corner that only sells cup noodles and some packaged drinks. And then on top there's also a restaurant with plenty of seats but when we got there at about 9 or 10 AM, not many menus were ready. Not many things to do to be honest but the view is great! You can eat at a Warmindo on the parking lot instead 😅

First time visiting and first impression was so so only. They charge foreigners Rp50k per person and you get one free soft drink. There is a volcano museum but looks pretty run down. Was told can view volcano documentary in the in-house theatre bit it was closed when I visited. What a let down. So the only saving grace was the observation platform at the hill top overlooking the villages. Too bad it was cloudy and misty so did not get to see much of the mountain view.

since i love all about train, visiting this place is one of my wishlist in life. if you want to know the journey of Indonesia railways since beginning, this is the best place to visit. not only the information, you can also see the vintage loco as well as the ambarawa station itself. i also bought the KA wisata ticket, to experience riding on vintage cars from ambarawa to tuntang, enjoying such a beautiful scenery from inside the train car. this would be memorable experience for me. overall, this gives me different experience of holiday :)

Overall, it's a nice place but could be more engaging for families.

We were guided through the museum by Mba Amber. She was humorous and very knowledgeable about the museum's contents. Her explanations were easy to understand. The place is spacious, has a large collection, cool temperature, but a bit spooky (for me) 😁🙏🏻

It's so fun visiting this museum. There are 3 options if you want to visit and enter the museum. Each option gives you a different historical explanation and also a different admission ticket starting 50k-100k/person. NB: the guide will explain the history and no taking photos inside allowed. You can take photos once you finish the tour.

It was such an amazing experience! Ullen Sentalu is a 1.2ha private museum in the north part of Jogja. They divide the museum into 3 parts based on the tour theme (details of each theme can be seen on their website). I tried 2 out of 3 tours and they were all amazing. The guides were very informative and funny, and the collections were nicely handled and curated. If you have plenty of time, you should try all the tours, but if you do not, I recommend you try the Vorstenlanden tour. This tour has the biggest area, is more focused on keraton history, and you can get tea and cookies at the end of the tour to feel an Indische vibe. The museum itself was magical; I liked the garden so much. Unfortunately, documentation inside the tour area is prohibited due to copyright. They have a restaurant and a gallery in the exit area if you are hungry after the tour or want to buy some batik or accessories.

Very fulfilling visit guided by mbak Tina 🫶 we arrived at about 14.45 and was immediately escorted to start the tour. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Strictly no photos, videos or voice recording allowed, only in designated spots for pictures. Took the Vorstenlanden tour, 1 hour, ended with a cute little tea time, highly recommended. English guided tour available.

We did about one hour drive from the city to reach this place, which is located at the foot of Mount Merapi. The museum has 3 zones of tour to choose and I chose the Adiluhung Mataram Tour, which explains about the history of Javanese royalties. But the #1 rule of the museum is: you cannot take photos or videos along the tour. So we just took them outside. With all the greeneries around, you can still take beautiful pictures :)

I had a great time at the museum, especially during the Vorstenlanden Tour. However, I do have one complaint: a group of more than 12 people who were not part of our tour suddenly joined in, and the guide didn’t say anything about it. This made us uncomfortable, as these individuals didn’t pay the IDR 100,000 fee like we did. The tour and the museum itself were excellent, but allowing people to join without any control or restriction feels unfair to those who actually paid.

I truly enjoyed my visit to Prambanan. The temples are breathtaking, and it’s clear that a great deal of effort goes into preserving the site and maintaining it for visitors. Walking among such extraordinary history was a remarkable experience. However, the end of my visit was completely overshadowed by the sight of animals kept in cages in extremely poor conditions. It was shocking, deeply upsetting, and frankly shameful to see something like this in a place of such cultural and spiritual significance. No historical landmark, especially one as important as Prambanan, should tolerate or endorse the mistreatment of living beings. This left a very bitter impression and turned an otherwise wonderful visit into a moment of anger and sadness. I sincerely hope the authorities take immediate action to remove these animals or ensure they are treated with proper care and dignity. It is unacceptable, and it tarnishes the reputation of an extraordinary site.

Beautiful heritage temple from 800sm already almost from 1200 years ago, I just found out when in find was actually as ruin, and the Dutch continued by Indonesian government need to restored it. Not only the Prambanan temple, they have eating place, kids activity, souvenir shop (very cheap) and museum, good place to spend time with family plus educational value.

Not as impressive as the nearby Prambanan but still really awesome place to witness. It's included in your Prambanan ticket but much less crowded than the Prambanan temple. You can climb all the monument and enter rooms at will. As of September 2025 there's quite a few structures that are undergoing restoration so you may see construction materials.

One of the two that you can't miss when visiting Prambanan temple complex. It's a mixed temple of both Buddhist n Hindu influences. A bit far from its peers as it's located at the right back of the complex but quiet at time during the day. As the entrance ticket covers this one, you are recommended to visit all, at least this candi.

Beautiful Buddhist Temple with Hindu Influence. 2nd largest Buddhist temple after Borobudur in Indonesia. Sadly most of the original Buddha heads have been looted from the site but nonetheless we are in awe of how magnificent this complex was during the 8th Century Shailendra Dynasty

Absolutely fascinating. We preferred this to Prambanan as it was much less busy and the entry fee was included in the ticket for Prambanan. The entrance at the South side says closed but you just need to go round to the East side (to the right) to enter. You can walk inside the temples and get some brilliant photos. So amazing to think that years ago there were 249 temples!

Last month was the first time I visited this temple. I am amazed with it. I met bapak juru pelihara and he explained the history of it. This temple is combined between Buddhism and Hinduism. He also explained how the sticked beetwen one stone to another stone. Several days ago, I took my friends to this temple also and they were amazed, too.

Visited this place by car and there is a little confusion since there are many unofficial guides tried to lure us to visit a certain batik store. Parking is limited. The batik price and collections is okay.

Interesting area housing many batik shops/workshops. Batik ranges from cheap traditional print method up to hand drawn premium batik. Some batik pattern is very old and not often produced nowadays. Park your car and explore on foot. Many local cum guide will offer to bring you around for a small fee/tip. They come useful in navigating small alley way. Those looking for super premium batik should try Goh Tik Swan or Danar. Parking space is very limited.

One of the best museum trip I ever had. Very nice and clean place. Very neat arrangements although some exhibit lacked written information. But the tour guide was really patient and meticulously explain each and every details of the 11 sections of the batik museum. He really knows and understands and can explain very well almost each batik piece. No photos allowed by their house rules for company discreet reasons. But 2 hours trip around the whole museum with that ticket price (IDR 45.000,- per person already includes tour guide service) was really worth it. Kudos once again to Danar Hadi Solo team.

If you really want to know how and what batik is about, then please visit this museum. In a guided tour of an hour you get to see the finest batik in the world. You get to see the finest and the most exclusive and rarest pieces. All presented in 11 rooms, very nicely and appropriately presented. The guide was very knowledgeable and did not push you to buy anything. You also get to see how the wax is applied to the fabric in real time by highly experienced women. And this is only a small, yet important part of the whole, long process. The shop is next door and also worth a visit. This your chance to be sure of what you are buying is real. Often the batik is stamped, but just as often, it is a mix of stamping and hand-applied waxing (which really drives up the price). But the price range has something for everyone. Go enjoy. You don't have to buy anything if you don't want to.

One of the must-visit places while you’re in Surakarta! I’m Indonesian, born and raised. Do I know Batik? Of course! Do I know its history and how it’s made? Not a clue (I do have a clue but not that much, lol) Well, this place offers exactly that knowledge, along with lots and lots of beautiful private collections that are decades old. In the museum, you’ll be guided by a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. I was traveling alone and happened to be the only visitor at the time, and I was lucky to be guided by Mba Mutiara, she felt more like a friend. She answered every question and even responded to my endless fascination with more fun facts, which made my experience even more enjoyable and unforgettable. Terima kasih Mba Mutia ^^ I highly recommend visiting the House of Danar Hadi if you want to learn more about one of Indonesia’s greatest heritages that is Batik. I really enjoyed my visit, and I hope you will too ^^

We had a wonderful time in this musuem, especialy with our guide Gigih ! He was really funny and we could listen to him talk about batik for hours ! The musuem has a lot of magnificient batik from a lot of different periods and you can see how it is made. You can also buy some great quality batik at their shop.

I am sorry Solo but this is the worst ever. I had high expectations visiting the place but you let me down. Admission cost of IDR 35k is too high with what I have been experiencing; I felt being robbed. Guide was provided however you need to join with the others; I thought the guide was for myself only. The museum section is so old and feels like it is not being well maintained. The other area for explore is kind of garden surrounded by the “pendopo”. That’s it. No more exploration area. I prefer Jogja than Solo; visiting Keraton wise.

Solo Keraton is still in an active palace in Solo, the King and Queen still live in this place, but tourist can go only visit some parts of the palace which is the backyard. If you are willing to visit, better bring fan, umbrella, sunscreen and use shoes. Don’t use sandal, because they will ask you to take off and walk barefoot inside the keraton.

If you'd like to learn more about the history of Surakarta (Solo) during the kingdom period, I recommend visiting this Royal Palace (Keraton). They provide a guided tour experience where you'll be able to see the Palace's Courtyard, Museum, and Event Hall. The Palace has many more inner areas however it's restricted for tourists; mostly those are the private residences of the Royal Family Members. If you're wearing sandals, you need to take them off and explore the Palace Yard barefoot, but shoes are allowed (not sure the thought process behind it). Sarong is provided for those who are wearing shorts or skirts to cover up. Tickets: IDR 35k for locals, IDR 60k for foreigners, and additional IDR 50k if you bring a professional camera. Open from 09 AM - 3 PM daily.

the place is nice for solitude time, its quite. just sit under the tree would relax ur muscle. they offer water from their well and give it free, bring ur tumbler! the guide would give u alot of information. nice place for for grounding on their yard (they use beach sand)

This was a big disappointment compared to Pura Mangkunagaran: a guide who rushed us through the place, with little knowledge about this palace except what the travel guide told us already before we arrived. Hefty price for the entry (50k/person) - cash only!

This palace is such a beautiful one, as you can see they don't even change a thing of the building and it's still traditional also beautiful ✨ you can really feel different energy here where it's very positive and calming one, especially when you're going inside the Keraton area with all the trees around. The museum also look super traditional and our tour guide was super smart and friendly, he explained everything clearly and not boring at all✨

It's nice to see beautiful blue water of dam. However, the place looks dirty because there are too many sellers here and there. The local government should renovate this place so that the visitors can enjoy the sightseeing of the water. If you want to visit this place, you must not come later than 4pm as the ticketing center is closed one hour before the sellers/ vendors stop their service. Once, I came at 4:08 due to high traffic, luckily the officer let us in by paying 50K for 8 people! Yeah 👍🏻 By the way, the boat rent is 100-150K depending on how far the boatman will take you 🚢

Historical tourist destination in the eastern city of Solo. The layout is quite good & neat, the temple site is well maintained. The place is at the height of the cool Mt. Lawu valley. tickets are very affordable. Hopefully it can be maintained and sustainable.

A mystical site. If you go in rainy season most probably foggy atmosphere will make the temple feel like you are out of earth and in the heavens. Bc The temple is built just below the Mountain Lawu (3200m) . sometimes clouds are far below your view . the tea plantation on the steeps around temple offer a good balance between transcendental and world life

Salam.. The road conditions to the temple are quite smooth, steep uphill, especially before reaching the destination. Because there are 2 steep turns and steep uphill before reaching the temple, there may be about 500 meters of the road. No need to hesitate for front-wheel drive automatic vehicles if you want to go to the location, as long as the vehicle is in prime condition and the driver is experienced. However, it is paid off with a beautiful view from the top of the temple, with an entrance ticket of 15 thousand / person. Thankyou and hopefully useful.

It was a good historical place. The road is dangerous. If you a new biker don't go with your bike. Usually you can use Jeep or tourist vehicle. The road is too stepper and concrete and stone are everywhere. Becarefull in the driving. After reaching the place, you feel so good.

The last time I visited this place was back when I was a child. I don’t remember much, but I do recall seeing lots of horse, and they’re still here! There’s also a speed boat ride, which I recommend if you enjoy a bit of thrill. Just enjoy the fresh air by the lake while having rabbit satay from the local community stall. If you’re into shopping for fresh veggies and fruits, this place is a good spot. However, prices tend to be on the expensive side. Also, parking on weekends can be really difficult to find.

One of a great place to spend the holiday with family. My advise is to visit here in workdays because every weekend will be really crowded. Bring the umbrella with you because the sun heat might be too much and just in case there will be rain. The horse ride is really worth to enjoy, as there are fixed price of it. The same like speedboat ride you can have it in a group with fixed price. There are many instant photographer in that area which only IDR 15,000 but really meaningful to keep the moment everlast.

You can ride a horse to explore arround the lake. You can also ride the boat, it's pretty fun. You will find a traditional market nearby that sell various things from fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers to daily clothing and so on. There are many hostels too nearby.

This place is very cool and has beautiful scenery especially in the morning. We can see the lawu mountain so close from here. They provides speed boat just to enjoy the lake. They people are very nice, the ticket is 19K for a person. We can ride a horse to look around the lake also. It cost only 80K for a person.

I visited in the evening, it's quiet, it's safe and serenity ambience. Car parking fee is free. There are 2 entrance from upper and below. I suggested for upper side entrance due to closer proximity with the grotto. I hope Saint Mary hear and granted my wishes. Amen.

Recommended for people who wants to see Lourdes, this shrine have the exact replica of "Grotto of Massabielle" in Lourdes, France. I came from Surabaya where it takes around 2 hours to get here via toll road. When you arrived, there is a passage surrounded by several markets before you reach the cave. There you can buy some candles, bottles for the holy water, or other souvenir like rosary or cross. There is some markets that selling foods as well. This shrine is not open specifically for Catholics, all people from different religions can visit. This shrine is very peaceful, because the whole cave is surrounded by trees. This shrine have a lot of stairs, so be careful when taking stairs up or down.

This is a solemn place to have personal touch to God. Mother Mary prays for us sinners. I have a great time and atmosphere, near to Kediri. If you want to heal your soul through silence and talk to the Divine, come and go for it. Wide place, many spots to have calmness. God bless you everyone

The ladies toilet is horrible. The door has no lock and the glass door is transparent and people can see someone through the glass door clearly. What's so bothering me is the janitor's room just beside the toilet. It's not safe for ladies and children going alone to use the toilet.

Penataran Temple is the largest Hindu-Javanese temple complex in East Java. This temple complex is a legacy of 3 great ancient Hindu-Javanese kingdoms, was built in Blitar for over 200 years, which its construction began in 1194 the period of Kediri Kingdom, continued in 1208 the period of Singasari Kingdom, and finished in 1415 the period of Majapahit Kingdom. Known as Penataran Temple, which "penataran" means to teach, this temple complex become the place for anyone who wants to learn about the life in the ancient Hindu-Javanese kingdoms era. This temple complex is divided into 3 large parts which represent an integral philosophy and values ​​inherent in every ancient Hindu-Javanese teachings and beliefs. Those 3 parts namely: -The front / lower part where there is the Bale Agung for a gathering place and the Pendopo Teras for a place to put offerings. -The middle part where there are two temples consists of one temple in form of a pointed monument with the statue of Ganesha (the god of wisdom) inside it as an embodiment of "lingga" / male and one temple in form of a hole monument surrounded by the ornament of dragon lifted by 9 kings (the number of gods which rule all the directions in the universe) as an embodiment of "yoni" / female. -The back / top part where there is the largest temple is called the Palah Temple which is carved by the relief of the Ramayana story, the Palah Inscription written in ancient Javanese script by Mpu Amogeswara or Mpu Taluluh, and a "petirtaan" or holy water spring. Penataran Temple complex was used to be a place both for worshipping the gods and consecrating the kings. It is the biggest temple in East Java. It is used for Hindus devotees to pray. Actually there is no ticket for the visitors. You just need to pay cleaning service fee as you wish. No fixed fee. When I and my students went there, there was no guide available. The security guard just recommended us to read the information board and went around by ourselves. Yeah, it was okay but it would be more interesting if there was a guide that be able to tell you many hidden stories about this Hindu temple. If you want to have some meals or buy souvenirs here, don't worry. In the outside of the temple, you may find them easily. Let's visit Candi Penataran!

This tourist location was previously the owner's house, processing factory, warehouse and office of a coffee plantation owned by the Harta Mulia Company. This company was formed to manage the “Karanganyar” coffee plantation in 1960 after the cultivation rights of the previous plantation land were nationalized under the Indonesian agrarian law. After changing leadership several times, the family that owned shares in this company changed the main location to a tourist area as a diversification method to maintain the assets. This location offers several attractions in the form of the main building, which is a kind of museum, highlighting one of the rooms, said to have been used by the President of the Republic of Indonesia to rest when he visited the plantation in 1957. Apart from the main building attraction, there is also another museum containing a collection of clothes, medallions, musical instruments and weapons, specifically the Javanese traditional blades (keris) that are in the collection of the 20th Regent of Blitar, Herry Noegroho, who is the son of the late owner of this plantation. Overall, this tourist attraction is limited in presentation and does not provide a specific experience. Visitors are charged an entrance fee used as a voucher to be consumed at the café. Parking fee is not included. The food and drinks at this café are relatively ordinary and the coffee beverages -part of the main menu- were not well curated. Overall experience is rather average.

I loved the place. You feel like traveling in time, you can visit museums, take a walk in a beautiful coffee plantation, then have a great coffee, a delicious meal and spend full day in the garden if you want. Really enjoyed the energy of the place.

This place is fabulous ! We can drink a very good coffee directly coming from the plantation around you. The museums are great with a lot of intresting pieces of art and history, you will learn a lot about the history of blitar, about the customs of its inhabitant and also about the rich past of the place itself. If you want to relax, learn about coffee or having a cultural trip, this is the place to be.

Had a visit and overnight stat at their camping ground with friends. It's a bit far from main road, which makes it quiet and good for a camping activity. Good for education. Had a tour to the museum, coffee plantation and see the coffee processing facility. Also a live demo for coffee brewing. Nice camping ground with beautiful view. Don't forget to buy the coffee. Their excelsa coffee bean is recommended one.

I really recommend visiting Museum Angkut, it’s absolutely worth it! The place is huge, very clean, and well-organized with so many amazing vintage cars on display. What impressed me most is that the cars are not just for show, most of them are still in excellent condition and can actually start, the engines are well-maintained. The museum opens at 11, and they also have exciting car shows with drifting. The schedule is at 1 PM, 4 PM, and 6 PM, and it’s really fun to watch. Inside the museum, there are many resting areas where you can stop, relax, and enjoy before continuing the tour. After finishing the museum, you get an incredible view of Mount Kawi, standing tall and beautiful in the background, a perfect ending to the experience. 🎟️ Ticket price: 110k Overall, an amazing experience for car lovers and families alike! 🚗✨

The place is quite big but the condition is great. There are lots of areas that need lotsa time to enjoy urself taking pictures. There's a cafe inside and musolla for Muslim is also available (at China country area) If u wish to watch the live show, u need to take ur lunch first, then u enter the museum . The live show starts at 3.15pm and there's another 2 more shows available. Wish to repeat this place again.

This is a very cool museum, when you enter there is the entrance tickets, cost 110k for holiday season. As you enter there will be a lot of classic cars such as shelby cobras, military willys jeeps, and etc. Then there will be a lot more things to do, i’m not going to spill all hehe. But promise you that this place is cool, there is a festival in gangster city, food places that have es potong durian, etc. Overall, solid 9.3/10

Great place, but for kids. please mind that if you're height not 120-140cm you only play little vehicles. It means you better buy ticket only not the full ticket package. because the officer will not explain it to you 😔... And I don't know why, we can only play once the vehicle, if you want more you need to buy ticket 😓.

Easy to locate! Went on a Sun night and it wasn’t too packed! Mostly locals, not much tourists so felt like a really authentic experience. A good mix of thrilling and chill rides, the weather was perfect for a night out here. Got the all access pass for 120k IDR and spent about 2 hours here. They had stalls selling drinks, snacks and a food court with live shows at selected timings. Definitely drop by if you’re in Batu!

The place isn't very big, but it has lots of rides—from kids to adults, everything’s pretty complete. I suggest checking what you want to try first, so you can decide if the all-access ticket is worth it. If you're not planning to try many rides, it's better to get regular tickets and pay for each ride. Kereta Terbang felt really fast and a bit scary—it looked like it might hit the signs because everything felt so close! 😅

While there may not have been a large number of attractions at night, there were definitely enough to keep our kids thoroughly entertained.

A must-visit night attraction in Batu. There are plenty of fun rides, great photo spots, and souvenir shops. The highlight is definitely the fascinating dancing fountain.

The area is huge, the animals are too common, nothing special. I just feel that they're too commercial. The feeling of going through a wild area wasn't there. The first day we rode on the park's vehicle. The driver only speaks Indonesian and he drove too fast. My friend booked to stay at Baobab for 2 nights, so we hired a car to make another tour and they tried to charge the extra 200k as he's a foreigner. After waited for 10 minutes they let us in.

Great family experience despite high price for foreigners (400,000 rupiah per person). After driving through the animals where you can feed them , there’s a small theme park with some rides and free dolphin/elephant shows. Really enjoyable for the whole family! Food at the cafe was delicious at reasonable price too! By the way, it is all cashless right from the entrance fees to cafe etc, so make sure to bring along a credit card.

Not a place for seniors and no wheel chair access. Cool weather in July. Entry to the theme park is expensive for tourists compared to locals.

In May 2017, just after 11 years of hot mud burst, there are still dozens of casualties, both from citizens and businessmen, who have not received any compensation.

I have to give it 5 stars since we explored the place via a drone and its incredibly interesting. Its definetely not a tourist attraction but a memorial to the devastating power caused by human error.

Lapindo mud pond is a geological disaster that occurs as a result of excessive oil well exploration. It is located in Porong, Sidoarjo, which is the lifeline of Java's cross-transport route. Many expectations of disaster-affected residents are written on the pool wall.

Its the one of biggest mall in Indonesia Really well maintained and vendors inside is mostly full, so far navigating is easy as it not usually big "circle"round mall. Prices for the supplier inside i would say it vary but mostly bit expensive

well, this place is HUGE, an extremely one at that. there are lot of official store from sport to gadget. you name it. i dont have a lot time when i last visited. but it almost cost me a lot of time just try to find specific store. anyway if you looking for a plaza to walk with your family, then this palce should do. dont worry about chairs, they got plenty all around the building. anyway this plaza has 6 building connected to each other, with each building have more than 5 floor. (i dont rrmember how much exactly but is more than that).

Brilliant shopping center, large with 4 well served entrances. The mall is connected the the four point Sheraton. The variety and number of food & beverage outlets is simply wow. The mall size is pretty large. Recommended…!

This is a very well known park in Surabaya, even people from outside Surabaya knows a little about this park. The park is really green and beautiful because of many trees, that also make the air become cooler here. There are many areas for people to do skateboard, jogging, and many kind of sports. A playground for children also available here. It can be accessed easily because of being located near the city centre, and many public transportation through this place.

One of the best city park in Indonesia, world even. It won an award and has nice playground for kids. It usually crowded at weekend, especially at car free day (cfd) event every Sunday morning.

Really love this place! The "car free day event" every sunday is a must visit, you can find anything from traditional foods to nice clothings with affordable prices. Also, there are lots of community gathering here on weekend. Maybe you could join one if you want to.

I dared to post photos from an off-the-beaten angles. I'm not sure why this park is popular after actually visiting here. Yeah, it's big and green. You can enjoy fresh air, however it's never a quiet place. It's surrounded by busy roads. Well, this is not a touristy spot from the beginning. By the way, it might be good for lunch since you can find an open-air food court(?) somewhere in this plot. Oasis for businesspeople.

Taman Bungkul is the best garden in Surabaya. Many beuty flower planted here. Green and shade is the first impression when the first sight here. One of Amazing and beautiful garden in Surabaya. We had a great time visiting Madakaripura Waterfall! I came with my two kids and was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty kid-friendly. The track is beginner-friendly and manageable, though there are a few slightly tricky parts – nothing too difficult, especially with a guide or some help. The scenery is breathtaking, and the waterfall itself is stunning. The water is clean, clear, and refreshing. Just make sure to bring raincoat – you will get wet! 🌿 Even if you don’t, the locals also sell it. One tip: bring some cash and wear shoes that are suitable for trekking and okay to get wet – you’ll definitely need them. A wonderful nature adventure for families!

Fyi, you’ll be amazed seeing this view. I’ll suggest you to come between June-August because the guide said that it was the most beautiful moment to visit waterfall. I gave 5 stars for the services, the cleaness and ofc for the hospitality. My guide was Pak Uyik, he’ll help you to cross the stream and took a lots of photos. Thanks for the experience Madakaripura! I’ll visit again between that months so, I can get a better view 🫶🏼

You’ll read a lot of scam about the place. In fact we really had to pay 150 k rupees per person (around 8 euro) for a short motorbike ride to the rainfall and got helmets and a local guide who brought us to the place. The money was more than worth it! You’ll get really wet, prepare!

Very beautiful and unbelievable. At first we just walked but when we noticed it was far away we just get a guide, and dont let them force you to pay huge money on guides if you dont want to pay it. (it is probably not mandotory but after a hard negatitonship, we just take the guide anyways because it was far away to walk.) Definitely bring sliper or open shoes and some raincoat or smth. But after all, it was worth to see.

An absolutely breathtaking view, truly the most stunning waterfall I’ve ever witnessed. The journey to get there was fairly manageable. The hike was around 30 mins from the locket, with mostly flat tracks, a few shallow river crossings, and a couple of mild inclines. Nothing too demanding, especially with a guide and safety gear like helmets provided. Important tip: always check the weather forecast before your visit. When it rains, access to the waterfall is strictly prohibited due to the serious risk of landslides and flash floods. It’s better to postpone your trip than to put yourself in danger.

From the parking to the base took 5minutes ride by motorcycle. Then, 30mins hike to madakaripura waterfall We could only spent an hour because we arrived late.. We reached there around 3.45pm. entrance closing time 4pm.. But less crowd and easy to get spot for photo.. The water was really cold. Superb nice waterfall, will come early next time. Worth the visit.

Definitely one of the most amazing waterfalls I've ever seen in my life and I've seen lots. Truly a majestic sight for the eyes ❤️✨ The trekking is very very easy for a beginner and kaum rebahan jaman now. But the steps to the waterfall were quite slippery so tourists must be careful. In my experience, the entrance, guide, helmet and ojek fee was reasonable and the local people there were quite friendly and polite. We paid for IDR 410,000 total for 6 pax. Before we left, we had lunch in "warung makan mbak anis" and it was definitely the highlight of the day. The sambal was top notch, everything was as requested; they spicyness and everything. Then we had a whole coconut as a dessert which put the cherry on top to the whole experience of visiting Madakaripura. Recommended 😊😍
