Lithuanian Ethnographic Museum (Lietuvos Etnografijos Muziejus) – an absolute gem for anyone who loves culture, history, and immersive travel! 🌾🇱🇹 This place is a solid 10/10 – no exaggeration. You can easily spend the whole day here (or even longer), wandering across a vast area filled with traditional wooden houses, windmills, barns, and workshops from different regions of Lithuania. Everything is arranged with incredible attention to detail, and the interiors feel like they’re frozen in time – some even dating back 300 years. What makes this museum special is that you don’t just look – you interact. You can step inside the buildings, touch the tools, see how everyday objects like flour or pottery were made in the past. It’s one of the most hands-on, open-air museums I’ve ever visited – perfect for families, history buffs, photographers, or anyone who wants to feel like they’ve stepped into a Witcher-style world. There are also taverns and food stalls on-site where you can taste authentic Lithuanian cuisine – highly recommend the cepelinai (potato dumplings filled with meat and topped with crispy bacon) and craft kvass (“GIRA” – an easy 10/10!). The entire museum is laid out like a miniature version of Lithuania, with different ethnographic regions represented – so it feels like a cultural road trip within one location. Very interesting museum, including whole history of Kaunas, from middle ages, through Communism to twenty first century. Highly recommended for all tourists visiting Kaunas :3

It’s worthy to see this castle - after all, it is a symbol of the city! Inside there is a museum - price is low (for student 2€), but exhibits are not interesting. There is a view of the city from there - the free one is better, but remember that in Kaunas you can find better places for this, for example the Alexota funicular.

Definitely worth a visit. Monemument and information regarding mass killings is sobering but presented respectfully. Information inside the exhibit is thorough and well worth while spending the time to read. Available in both Lithuanian and English.

Very interesting catholic church, which was partly destroyed during wars, but now reconstructed. Our visit target was to see church tower. Lucky, we were on the right time when lithuanian tourist group was there and guide allowed us to join them. Unfortunately, guide talking only in lithuanian language, but thanks to one girl, who was translating partly guide story. Tower climb starts with very old rock stairs, then comes reconstructed part with steel stairs. Up in the tower, placed a lot of bells. Big ones, and more than 20 smaller bells, which are unique and sings in different tonalities. Nice view over yhe city.

We had tour + workshop on weekend. Tour was interesting with mini video at the end 1 hour is enough to check everything. Workshop was very fun and delicious, highly recommend this activity!

Crosing the bridge named after Prussian queen Louise (1776–1810) to Sovetsk (Russian: Сове́тск), before 1946 known as TilsiT, Lithuanian: Tilžė; Polish: Tylża; German: Tilsit) in East Prussia, a town in Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia, located on the south bank of the Neman River. The Treaties of Tilsit were signed here in July 1807, the preliminaries of which were settled by the emperors Alexander I of Russia and Napoleon I of France on a raft moored in the Neman River. This treaty, which created the Kingdom of Westphalia and the Duchy of Warsaw, completed Napoleon's humiliation of the Kingdom of Prussia, when it was deprived of one half of its dominions. (And yes, it takes sometime/hours to cross the border, take it easy 😎)

It was a positive surprise! I have been to other locations but here you have the possibility to visit bunkers that have not been destroyed. The museum has several pieces of history, nice to be able to touch some stuff and feel it. It's a place that is worth a visit. Had to remove some pictures, since they violated the Google policy.

Amazing experience. Yes, the buildings are mainly ruins, but you can see so much. I highly recommend going on your own and not getting a tour guide because you have all the time you want to see around places, and you move at your own pace. You can get an audio tour in a few languages if you'd like. There's a gift and coffee shop and also a restaurant where you can rest after some hours of walk. It's pets friendly as long as they are on the leash. I would definitely visit again.

Between Cranz (Russia) and Smiltynė (Lithuania) stretches over 98 km one of the most special nature reserves in Europe: the Curonian Spit. A spit is a long sand spit that (partially) blocks off a part of the sea, in this case the Curonian Lagoon is blocked off from the Baltic Sea. The Curonian Spit was formed in the 5th millennium BC, the narrow sand spit, the width varies from 380m to 3800 m, is mainly covered with pine trees. The area is a popular tourist destination, especially during the summer months, attractions include the artists' village of Nida, the Witches' Hill in Juodkrantė and the two dune areas. In order to protect nature, the Curonian Spit National Park was established in 1991. In 2000, the entire spit became a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and rightly so, because the Curonian Spit is definitely worth a trip!

It is very crowded, and you can barely explore :( Only place you can walk is the path — cannot diverge even a little bit. Hugging trees also forbidden lol ;) The smell in this place is amazing, rich of pine. Many tourists but I would still recommend.

It is a Brick Gothic-style monument in Kaliningrad and is the most significant preserved building of the former city of Königsberg, which was largely destroyed in World War II. The construction was completed in 1380. Although it was heavily damaged in World War II, it has since been restored afterward. It is the largest brick church in the Baltic region and has three towers, and a 700-pipe organ (one of the largest in Russia). The interesting fact about it is that It is the burial place of Immanuel Kant, the famous philosopher and his statue is in the cathedral as well. There are lots of interactive parts inside the exhibition about Kant, for example in one part you can ask any question from him, and he'll answer you! If you are interested in learning more about the history of Königsberg or the philosophy of Immanuel Kant, then a visit to the cathedral is a must.

Very interesting museum - numerous ships and other vessels for exploration + main hall with aquariums. And new exhibition hall is coming up soon. Highly recommended to visit! But be aware - it's not "just a museum", the complex can take almost entire day to see everything.

Seeing this well-kept piece of soviet history was a delight. The closest thing to this I experienced was in Gosport,UK where they have an Amphion class submarine on public display but it's nowhere near as well-kept as the B-413. Such a delight to visit!

Amazing zoo. The animals have enough space to move freely. A must see when visiting Kaliningrad.

Beautiful place and nice museum..but try to visit it during the week, because on weekends too many visitors are there...

One of the mains sights to visit while in Hel. A standard adult ticket is 12 pln. You take about 200 steps up and enjoy a very nice view both on the baltic sea and zatoka Pucka as well. Very beautiful! Highly recommend! *Be ready that last 10 steps are very steep. But I saw an elderly man on a crutch climbing up there on his own and getting down as well. Great respect! If he managed to do it, you'll be able too.

A really nice place, but be prepared to queue, especially near the feeding time. But it is definitely worth the wait - the seals are so lovely. The feeding show is really fun and lovely to watch, as is just observing the seals: they all have their own personalities and behave differently. They have a shop which is situated some 200 meters from the entrance (and really close to the exit). This is a place you should definitely visit!

The hotel is located in the impressive former castle of Mewe built by the Teutonic Order (reception/indoor pool with whirl pool / fitness area), a Baroque palace overlooking the Wisla river and a modern part with nice comfy rooms and a restaurant. The town is small and quiet but nice to have a stroll and buy some things in local stores around the rynek (market square). There is a church and some well-preserved houses in walking distance. Highly recommended to stay in tis hotel!
