Scenic lake view from top, you need to hike a bit for it but it’s not that long. Has two stops I’d suggest you go to second one and to the top.

The view is simply incredible, but in my opinion, the price is too high. We paid 82€ with a visitor card discount.

The cable car ride up the mountain was really beautiful. You've got views of the Bavarian Alps all around, and you pass over cows grazing on the mountainside with their bells ringing to create an almost idyllic scene. It did cost us nearly $100 for just two people to ride the cable car up and down the mountain, so that was a little steep (no pun intended). Once we got to the top, there are lots of trails to hike. We took the one where you can best overlook Lake Konigsee. Spectacular views! Really beautiful!!

The views from the top are beautiful, but we’ve been to other funiculars where the views can be even more breathtaking. It’s not worth to buy the ticket online, there was almost no waiting queue for the ticket office when we went today (13th August, around 11h00?) and that way they can take your Guest Card for a small discount. It’s expensive nonetheless, but we wanted to have this experience. However, you will not see the lake from above if you stay at the panoramic platform, even on the very top. You have to hike the trail, with uneven stones and no protection (you can easily fall off the trail… and really hurt yourself!), and it can be a workout especially if it is hot. So, not recommended for people with limited mobility. I believe this should be more clear for those buying the tickets to go up, as it can be a disappointment if you don’t want or simply can’t hike the trail that will lead you to the panoramic views with the lake. Also, we parked at the same big parking lot you use when you visit lake Königssee, but couldn’t understand if you could actually park near the funicular station or not (even though Google Maps says you can drive up to there, I believe you have to park at the big parking lot and walk to the station as we did).

Great views. If you want to hike down from the very top, it takes over 4-5 hrs. It is very difficult to walk or hike down on the steep slippery gravel. So, you might need a round trip ticket.

It was the loveliest day to take the cable car up to the top of the mountain. While rather pricey, the views were worth it. I would definitely suggest buying the trip up to the summit about 1800 m. It’s around 42€ per person. But if your accommodation provides you with a guest card, you will get 4€ off typically. the round trip takes approximately 20 minutes each way. We got to see a lot of skiers ⛷️ on the way up and down!

Very nice fortress overlooking the city of Salzburg. You get some magnificent view from up there. You also have the opportunity to got to the top of the fortress and get a full 360 degree view of the region. They have some nice museums and displays inside the fortress. Definitely worth it to spend some good amount of time. Even if you are here for short time, it would recommend 1.5hr just to walk through the entire area.

Bought the entrance and funicular train ticket and it's a enjoyable trip up the hill to the castle. Plenty of stuff to see in the fortress and also great view of Salzburg city from the top of the castle. Really beautiful scenery and we don't want to leave but had to rush to find the train station as we need to catch the 12pm Hallstatt tour.

We visited the Fortress Hohensalzburg and had a memorable experience. Truly beautiful, must see spot in Salzburg. Definitely recommend the panaromic view from the fortress tower. We unfortunately hadn’t visited neither the museum nor the armory, but we enjoyed it anyway. We really appreciated the stand where we could get for ourselves some Glühwein and simply enjoy the beautiful night view.

We thought there would be more spaces that were open for tours, but the tour was still good. The restaurant in the fortress was great! Service was great as well as the food and we enjoyed as much as we could eat as the portion sizes were large.

This is a fascinating site. There are many things to see in this historic place. Be prepared for some step climbing to get the very best views. We enjoyed learning all the history about the Fortress. There are rooms full of interesting items dating from ancient times to modern life.

Amazing castle and exhibition. Everything is modern, interactive and multisensory. Truly a nice example of the basic of how exhibitions today should look like. Plus the ticket's price is also very okay. 100% recommend buying tickets in advance though, there was a super long queue when buying on the spot.

Beautiful cathedral!! Entrance fee is a modest 5 Euros. Once inside be sure to check out the underground in the far back left (facing the altar). Also there’s a giant metal structure where Mozart was baptized as a child (see in my photos)

Beautiful large cathedral with high ceiling and open space. We got lucky as a small group of musicians were performing which allowed the music to echo throughout the cathedral which made for a peaceful ambiance. I would highly recommend visiting this place.

Just amazing! The Cathedral has a unique architecture and we also booked ourselves for an organ concert. Every day at noonafter the 12 o'clock bells there is an organ concert. It's preferable you book your place. The player changed the organs and during half hour he played different pieces to three different organs. A must do activity in Salzburg.

An absolutely beautiful church! This stands out from many of the other churches we’d seen because of the stunning black and white design that makes the paintings pop. The organ was also beautiful. There is an entrance fee but the discount with the Salzburg card brings it down to €3.5 per person.

Great museum and tribute to Mozart. Informative displays with historical significance. I really like that the museum has a QR code you can scan and have a self guided tour simply with your own phone. We were there on a Sunday and it was not over crowded. They have a few public restrooms also available. The gift shop is very nice and inviting. I highly recommend it.

The museum collection is quite simple, and tickets can be purchased in advance on the website. When we asked the ticket counter staff about an audio guide, the lady said there wasn’t one — but upon entering, we discovered there is actually a free app to download. The staff didn’t seem very professional, and although the museum mentions having one of the largest collections from the Mozart Association, to be honest, the value for money felt quite low. Also, the weather was very hot, and it felt like a sauna inside the museum.

Nice, but definitely wouldn't go back. A fine visit for a rainy day, but if you have other things to do, this can be skipped. It would have been a bit nicer if they had some of Mozart's music playing as you visit the rooms.

We were very excited to visit the home place of Mozart whilst staying in Salzburg as I am a big fan, however I have to say we were not very impressed for few reasons.. 1 Overcrowded, feels like you can't enjoy the place without having 10/15 Japanese on your shoulder coughing and sneezing you in the face.. 2 The interactive section was poorly presented, they should modernize it a bit.. 3 Too expensive for what they offer. Happy to have done it, but wouldn't return.

The gardens are magnificent. Symmetry and colors are combined in beautiful compositions. Access to the gardens is free. The palace itself is also free, but there is nothing to see. Access is only to the staircase, which is magnificent, but it is disappointing that there is no access to the halls. We only managed to peek into one.

Even though it was rainy a lot, the sculptures at the outskirts of the palace and the gardens inside were pretty. The cobblestone ground was a bit swampy and uncomfortable to walk, but anyway I bet it'd be fascinating to revisit there on sunny days.

Climbed October 10. Weather was quite bad but we could tell it is a really nice mountain. If it's rainy watch your step since it can get slippery. It is not that long of a hike anyway. We made the ascent in 3hrs 20 mins and we are of average fitness

A must see and do in Salzburg. The cable car to the top is quite amazing. But what you do there is up to you. There are trails for the intrepid to come up on their own steam and you will have lots of company. Don’t forget your hiking boots and sticks. And check the weather- it might be better to be flexible if you have the time. If you are doing 2 activities or more in Salzburg check out the Salzburg card beforehand. It includes the cable car but also public transport from the train station and quite sure the airport too.

You may use Salzburg card to take the cable car ride, or purchase tickets before ride €34 for round trip. Long or short trek totally depends on your preferences. View on top are stunning and breathtaking 😍

This was an amazing experience. We visited on Sunday 25th June 2023. We took bus 25 from Salzburg train station. It was a beautiful and scenic bus ride. The Untersberg is the last bus stop. We bought 2 up and down (return) tickets for €56. The cable cars run frequently, every 15 minutes. The staff got in the car and shut the door, and off we went. It takes approximately 8 minutes to get to the top of the mountain. It gets bumpy when you get to the cable stations. The views are amazing. I was scared but I totally enjoyed it. When we got to the mountain, we walked up to the top of the mountain where there is a big cross. We could see the top of other mountains, and had a clear view of the city of Salzburg. We even saw a plane take off. The view from the top is amazing, the air is so clean and fresh. It was totally worth it. I fully recommend this experience.

One of the best places to visit if you are in Salzburg. 25 min bus from city centre and then 10 min ropeway which will take you into clouds with a thrilling experience of the height. Salzburg city card covers all public transport and the ropeway itself.

The building has incredible architecture. Impressive. Admission is free. Inside there is a neat exhibition of contemporary artists, which makes the place even more interesting. We visited it early on Thursday, but unfortunately the planes were taking them out of the hangar to participate in flights and we couldn't look at them. Fortunately, the cars and motors were there and we're able to look at them at least. The fan shop is not very big, but you can find your favorite Red Bull item.

Stumbled on this by chance,was recommended by the person who's apartment we book for our holidays. It's free to enter which is awesome,has a small collection from bikes to F1 cars to planes and helicopters. Loved seeing the F1 cars up close as a massive fan. Doesn't take long to look around though so don't expect to be in there anymore than an hour.(But that's my opinion) Overall pretty good and worth a visit.

Absolutely superb place to visit if you're near Salzburg. It's completely free and it's a working hangar, which means that you can see planes come in and vehicles moved around while you're there, which gives it a different vibe than if it was a display-only place. The building itself is quite cool, with glass all around and trees inside, with a little art gallery to the side and a cafe/restaurant. There's plenty of free parking outside and it's very easy to access by car. This was one of the highlights of our trip, even though we only spent 1 hour here for a walk-around and coffee. The indoor walkway closes in the late afternoon, so make sure to go before then if you want to see the vehicles from above!

Some info for those wanting to climb this moutain. The cable car is closed and they are building a new one to replace it (in theory). Currently no work has started so who knows when it will be. The bar/restaurant at the top are therefore also closed. If you want to hike up to the top: we took 2h10 to go up at an (above) average pace and doing some small mistakes/side wandering. To go down we took 1h20. So in total we did 14km, 900+ and took 3h30. Note that the indicative panels indicate 3h30 to go up only. If you follow the main path, it is very clearly marked and very « easy ». It is a well maintained and wide path. The only difficulty is the distance and gradient (7km one way, 1000m d+) but that’s up to your fitness. We started from Aschenau. To sum it up: no cable car. Go by foot. 7km one way. Ps: there is a danger sign , if you don’t speak German, no worries it is about being careful with your dogs. Some animals might have babies and be protective.

I had an amazing day at Freizeitpark Ruhpolding 🎢🌲. The park is beautifully located in the middle of the forest, offering fresh air and stunning views. There’s a wide range of rides: interactive and gentle ones for kids, and more thrilling ones for adults like roller coasters and giant slides. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The park is very well-organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There are also plenty of seating and dining areas, which makes it very comfortable for families. The ticket price is reasonable compared to the variety of activities and fun offered. Overall, this place combines adventure, fun, and nature, and I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area. 🌟

One of the best family theme parks I've been to. They've given the park design serious thought and made good use of the hill layout. There was plenty for the kids to explore, touch and interact with. The toilets were also super clean and in excellent condition. I can only recommend families with smaller (pre-teen) kids to visit.

Exceptional experience! We came with a 3.5 and a 6.5 years old kids and we had a lot of fun!

It's a little bit dark for young kids, some attractions seams to be from a scary movie. It's nice, but not sure if kids will have good memories or nightmares. For adults, attractions are boring, for kids scary, hard to say.

Unique and close to nature. It's literally in the woods at the foot of a mountain. Mostly designed with natural materials, not much plastic. Very well done. The food is mediocre and a bit expensive, but you can bring your own if you want. There are plenty of sitting opportunities and tables (also mostly made of wood). You can spend money for some extras inside, but you don't have to. Great, unique theme park you can easily spend the entire day. You won't find this anywhere else.

It’s such a beautiful place, up in the hills of a forest, full of enchanting folktales and play equipment. Very adapt to children’s needs, even the toilets are little! A lot of space for picnics and resting and a cafe and restaurant, very convenient and relaxed. Definitely recommended and looking forward to our next visit with our 6 year old!

Amazing fun Park for the whole family... One can easily spend the whole day there. My daughter loved it, so did Oma, Opa and our dog was also allowed in. Restaurant food and prices were very reasonable. The detail in all the entertainment and rides were amazing. Being in the middle of forest also shaded us from a 30 degree day. Well be back next year for sure

It was a great privilege visiting the image of the Black Madonna in this remarkable chapel. Traveling at least 6 hours to this quaint little town of Altötting was indeed worth it. I feel blessed and grateful for this once in a lifetime experience. Definitely one for the book.

The miraculous shrine of the black Madonna and the oldest Maria shrine in germany, also refers to as Lourdes of Germany. honoured by the visit of two popes, many offerings (metal hearts, artifacts, portraits) are hanged on the walls. this is the center of Bavarian faith and truly a place of great beauty. This is truly a Marina jewel and the Marian heart of Bavaria, including the centuries old Gnadekapelle which is the centrally located and small, somewhat darkly lit (but a gorgeous candlelight type of dark!) chapel with the primary object of focus and now ancient Madonna and Child statue which has had an impressive number of miracles, both those proven and those not officially proven attributed to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Jesus through it. I have 2 pictures of the the Grandekapelle and also others of the much larger Stiftspfarrkirche which stands adjacent to the Gnadekapelle. It is also simply exhilarating to stand in the Kapellplatz (Chapel Square) and take in the southern German views. The entire shrine has abundant areas within which to pray and reflect as well as opportunities nearby to do some Catholic religious goods shopping for devotional objects and holy souvenirs. I have now twice been here, and it is a peaceful and reflective experience. May your journey there be blessed!

I absolutely love this island, the houses and their garden are beautiful, lots of flowers and of course lots of places to have coffee or lunch, casual or more fancy whatever you like. There are also little stores and the covent to see. The lake is beautiful, you can feed the ducks, there's a playground for the kids so plenty to do for the whole family or a romantic day for a couple. I recommend going!!

Fabulous palace on an island in Lake Chiemsee. This is a great place to see the extravagance of Ludwig II. It offers a peak into his obsession with French royalty and his lavish tastes. The palace and gardens are fantastic. (No photos allowed inside, which is a bummer.)

Lake Helen Kim Palace is a magnificent palace modeled after the Palace of Versailles in France. It is a Baroque building. In winter, flocks of geese and ducks graze on the lake, and strolling through the woods on the island offers stunning views of the vibrant autumn foliage.

You have to buy entry Ticket to see the interior Palace with a guide. Taking picture inside of d palace it's not allowed, just outside it's possible. You have to pay extra when u need to go to the 🚻 & it was not cheap!

This is a really pretty palace and a great history lesson for people who don’t know much about kind Ludwig II. The palace itself is whacky and lavish and the gardens, fountains, and exterior are beautiful and scenic. The island has some great walking paths and is a fun outing. The boat there and back also has pretty views and runs fairly consistently. Keep in mind that the price of the boat and the palace entrance/tour are a separate price, the palace ticket does give you access to quite a bit though. The only reason it’s a 4 star review is that you can’t take pictures inside the palace which is a little disappointing but not a huge deal. Overall this is a great stop but does take some time.

This is the best place to get a ride on the ferry over to the island. This company has lots of boats and a great schedule. Can visit the palace and the smaller Islands or go across to the far side. You can purchase a ticket for one destination or all. Reasonable rates.

This is a beautiful spot. The scenery is simply stunning. This lake is an awesome place to visit. There is a veil of bucolic idyll that covers the whole place. It is an incredibly picturesque sight. Should you be in the area, definitely make a visit to the lake a top priority. There is a regular ferry service and there are plenty of places where you can go hiking or cycling. Definitely, a must visit destination!

There’s nothing particularly special about it, except that you can feed some of the animals with food you buy at the entrance for one euro per bag. Tegernsee is one of the most beautiful lakes and even places, I have ever seen and been to!! Small lake and town near to Munich, less than 2 hours by car and also you can get there with train very comfortably, during pandamic all the shops in a small town are close but there are many small local shops for dining and decorative stuffs. But we enjoy sightseeing, hiking, relaxing and we were lucky because it was sunny that day and it helped us to enjoy more. Definitely I will come back and stay there for couple of days in hotel, one fay was not enough for me !!

We went for a brewery tour and tasting on a Wednesday 15/10/2025 for the English speaking tour. I'll start by saying how lovely all the staff were and how enthusiastic they were about the brewery! It was really interesting to learn how Erdinger is made and all the different beers they brew. The tasting was a highlight with an option of Obatzda or Weisswurst and Pretzel to pair with the beers. I managed to sample at least three of the beers and they were all as delicious as the next. The only downside to my experience was the slightly hard to reach location of the brewery. We were coming from the Therme Erding and there was no easy route. Of course this is not the brewery's fault so it's still a 5 star review! Thank you Erdinger Brewery for such an amazing tour!

Eva was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable about the brewing process. Make sure you tip them at the end- they work so hard and do a great job!

Booked a tour for a Saturday at 14. Their shop with merch closes at 13. How is that possible? The signage for meeting points etc. are bad and the ticket confirmation mail is only in German. Bad tourist experience. I actually also signed up for their free membership, where you get send a physical €5 voicher sent to your foreign home add, that only works in the shop. The voucher doesn't work online and, naturally, not in a closed shop.

HIGHLY recommend this tour. We came to Erding for our wedding and a bunch of our guests joined us for this tour. It was a great group activity. This was a highlight of our week! I have been to other breweries and have done other tours around the world but this was hands down my favourite one! The hospitality was wonderful. We started off with a beer and ended with multiple beers. (Full glasses, not just shot glasses). All the beer options were so good! We also received food; sausages and pretzels with the most amazing mustard. We didn't even need to go out for dinner after. The tour was very informative, with lots of walking and stairs which is good for me who likes to be active on trips. I would definitely come back! This is a MUST DO if you like beer and are in Erding. We are forever a Erdinger family now.

The FC Bayern stadium (Allianz Arena) has a very high capacity. The exterior design is modern and can change color at night. It houses both a Museum and an FC Bayern Store. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to join the Arena Tour, which is a real shame. The downside of this stadium is that there are very few nice photo spots outside, apart from taking pictures with the stadium itself, and if you come by U-Bahn, it's a very long and exhausting walk.

Wonderful arena and an amazing experience. My dad received a VIP tour and museum tickets for his 59th birthday. We were guided around the stadium and even taken to exclusive areas like the locker room and the tunnel where the players walk out before the match. The museum has absolutely everything, and the layout is beautifully done. I was also pleasantly surprised that the stadium shop is not overpriced at all. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. Even though I’m not a football fan myself, we went because of my father, and I actually felt sad to leave because I enjoyed it so much. Go Bayern München! 🫶🏻❤️⚽️

The group tour is great. To get to see all the history behind such a big club was a great experience. Hopefully I’ll be able to visit again whit the hopes of seeing a match. We booked the English speaking tour with Franz, and he was very informative and engaging. There was plenty of Oporto take photos, and you could visit the change rooms, sit in the stands and on the substitutes bench. Afterwards we visited the museum which was very interactive. You could take a photo of yourself and have it appear on a scrolling wall of photos, and there was also the opportunity to take a photo with your favourite players. There are things for kids to do, such as building their own trophy with blocks, as well as a stadium with Lego. There is a small futsal pitch for them to play on, as well as climbing equipment. It’s definitely worth the visit for the whole family.

Plus a couple of places to surf, yes you read correctly surf. The river is very clean and as you can see in the photos, very popular with surfer's and fun to watch for non surfers. A true gem of a park in Munich. Oh this park is huge it'll take a few hours to take it all in.

There was a lot of exhibits to see and it was nice to have listening stations throughout For English as well. There were some hands on experiences, I was hoping for some more and looking for something a bit more interactive. There was a very wide variety of things to see throughout a journey through history. Overall a nice experience.

It's a vast general museum, encompassing everything not covered in the art and antique museums. Currently half of it is under renovation, but the open part is big enough to keep you busy for a long time. I focused mainly on the air and space aspect, nice collection of vintage and more modern planes, some of the very first rockets including a V2, and a very nice floor on spaceships. I also enjoyed the section on coding. I checked out photography, printing and musical instruments before my time ran out. It was a solid 3 hours. Overall it is good, not necessarily a must-see if you are first time visitor to Munich pressed on time.

From engines to aircrafts, nuclear physics to spacecrafts, electronics, medicinal technologies, old and new cameras, receent semiconductor technologies, bridges, pendulums, fighter jets, agriculture and husbandry & whatever your cup of tea is. It is a great museum with literally any type of science in it. It is definitely a must go and you would regret it if you didn't.

The Antiquarium is breathtaking; truly one of Munich’s must-see landmarks.

Good place to visit on a Sunday since all the shops are closed. You can buy your ticket at the counter. The Residenz is huge and take more than 2 hours to complete. They provide free audio guides and many seats along the tour. You can finish the Treasury in an hour and the Theatre in 5min.

Bought tickets online ahead of time which proved helpful! There is an audio guide that they provide but there are SO MANY rooms and the audio guide talks for so long—we eventually abandoned. That said, the Residence is MASSIVE and so so many of the rooms are available for viewing. Incredibly lavish and opulent. We really enjoyed! Side note, they are very serious about not letting people in after an hour before closing. We saw a lot of people turned away and lectured as we were leaving! Plan accordingly!

City Hall (Rathaus) is an impressive neo-gothic building in the heart of Old Town. The facade is most famous for the glockenspiel, which sings and dances every day at 11:00 and 12:00 (and 17:00 in the summer). The inner courtyard is open to the public and features a restaurant and public restrooms. Guided tours of the inside are available. I was allowed to free roam inside, but I think that might only happen in May. There is also an observation deck at the top of the tower. During WWII, much of the city center was destroyed, yet the Neues Rathaus was repaired and restored, preserving its role as a backdrop for everything from Christmas markets to championship celebrations for FC Bayern.

St Peter is an impressive Catholic church in the center of Old Town. The building is usually open daily to tourists. They also have an observation deck at the top of the bell tower. The church is free to enter, and tower admission was only €5 when I visited. Tower tickets can be purchased at the base of the tower as walk-up only (no reservations accepted unless you want a night tour). Keep in mind there are 306 steps to the top of the tower, but the view is worth the climb. On your way up, you can see the massive bells. At the top, you get wonderful views of Marienplatz and all of Old Town. The church nave itself features ornate decoration with accents of pink and gold on white, making it a peaceful space of reflection. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in architecture, history, or great city views.

Beautiful church on the inside. Free to enter for everyone. Just please, like any other church or similar structures, be respectful and observe silence. Bonus is a climb to the top of the bell tower which offers impressive views around Altmarkt including the Rathaus. The climb is steep and can be challenging but very doable, with a few stops to pause. It was not so tight like many old bell towers.

It was originally built as a Romanesque church and later rebuilt in Gothic style. The architecture is just stunning as well as all the decoration inside the church. The high altar and sculptures are beautiful. The church has eight bells and four of them pre-date 1400. This is a must visit in Munich! We loved our visit.

When I went out from underground it was just.. breathtaking. Place is pretty and alive. There's a lot of people, restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. Marienplatz is just a heart of Munich. I highly recommend visiting this place!
