Will have to agree with the rest- a very beautiful beach (but wouldn’t call it unique), crystal water (not deep), soft warm sand, but too expensive regarding the prices. I totally understand that tourism is the main income for most of the people on the island and for sure as a visitor, I am willing to spend, in order to enjoy the perfect vacation, but it’s not necessary to feel exploited in the end.

Pros: One of the top beaches in Crete. Crystal clear water. The beach and sea floor covered by soft fine sand. (Few sections with pink sand )Turquoise water. West oriented, which makes the sunset spectacular. Nude section. Large free parking. Cons: Expensive sun beds( on other 10 cretan beaches we visited before this one, we paid between 6 and 15(only on VAI) euro for sun beds set ), here cheapest was 20 euro. Expensive food and drinks. Very few showers. Not many toilets. Conclusion: great beautiful beach which must be visited, but may be not the best choice for everyday use.

The beach is long and suitable for everyone. It has soft sand and a cozy vibe. We loved it more than the famous Elafonissi Beach

September 2025. One of the best beaches we visited while in Crete, definitely worth spending the day here. Parking was €6 entire day. We stayed middle of the beach, 2 sunbeds for €20. Far right side by the 3 restaurants sunbeds were more expensive front rows €40, middle €30, back €20. The beach is huge and didn’t feel crowded.

Falassarna Beach is stunning — wide, golden sands and turquoise waters create the perfect setting for a relaxing day by the sea. The sunsets here are unforgettable. Truly one of Crete’s finest beaches.

No matter what I say about this beach, it wouldn't be enough. It’s simply perfect — the beach, the water, the sand, everything. Just perfect. The sunbed for two people in the second row is 40 euros. However, it depends on the beach bar, though I don’t believe the prices are any lower elsewhere.

Free parking around Maracaya Beach house, great lounge area, amazing food and drinks. The water is clear and beautiful. There are some fish on the shore line to look at though goggles. Loved the whole experience

A beautiful place! The garden is huge, full of exotic plants, scents, and colors. Walking along the paths surrounded by nature is pure pleasure, and the mountain views are breathtaking. Everything is very well maintained, and the plant information is really interesting. After exploring, it’s worth stopping by the restaurant – the food is delicious and made with local ingredients. A perfect spot for a peaceful day surrounded by nature. Highly recommended!

What an amazing place to spend our afternoon. We loved it so much we returned the following day for lunch again. The gardens, the trails and the huge variety of plants are a paradise on Earth, where we have learnt so much about Crete, while listening to birds and smelling the rich aromatic scent of flowers and Cretan herbs. ✨Moreover, the story behind this Botanical Garden is such an inspiring story: in 2003 a massive wilfire reduced to ashes this valley and destroyed many thousands of trees, including many thousands of 400 years old olive trees, that only grew in this part of the world. Visiting this place is also a beautiful reminder of how regeneration is possible, with determination and dedication. Bravo to all the people who made this peaceful nature sanctuary a reality, after such a big loss. Also, we couldn’t recommend the restaurant more! Local, oh-so-tasty foods and ingredients: we had the rooster with homemade pasta, the homemade bread, Fava, and several other yummy typical mezze. The small salted olives were incredible, too. It is as if each ingredient here tastes 100% more than similar ingredients in other places. Finally, there’s a very garnished shop with great local products and books, and an amphitheater for events. We fully recommend the visit, if you come to Crete! Ps. Some people leave trash behind - please don’t.

My family and I had a wonderful experience exploring the beautiful gardens, learning about the wide variety of fruit trees, plants, and flowers native to Crete. The gentle pathways created a calm and enriching environment to wander, learn, and appreciate the richness of the landscape. We also enjoyed a nourishing lunch at the restaurant, with fresh and flavourful dishes ranging from vibrant salads and seasonal fruits to wood-fired meats. The gift shop offered a great selection of local products showcasing the many uses of natural ingredients. To top it off, we were surrounded by wildlife, including peacocks and donkeys. I highly recommend visiting the gardens to anyone with an interest in nature.

The park is gorgeous! It left the deepest impression of all the places I visited in Crete. Imagine walking among blooming, fragrant trees and flowers of incredible variety and seeing peacocks and baby deers walking nearby. After the walk you can visit lovely restaurant with very welcoming service. The history of the place is fascinating too. This park was envisioned in the aftermath of the devastating fire. So the park literally appeared from the ashes like phoenix :) It’s easy to get here even if you don’t drive a car by public bus that runs from the Chania bus station on daily basis.

Absolutely beautiful botanical gardens with loads of native and tropical plants. Peacocks everywhere! Treat yourself to the ‘long walk’ down to the lake, It’s not that long, and is really pretty plus there’s donkeys, deer, geese, ducks and more peacocks down there next to a citrus grove. Some parts can be steep and uneven. Once you’ve finished hiking the gardens treat yourself at the restaurant, you won’t be disappointed, the food is delicious and fresh and really good value.

I really loved visiting this botanical park in Crete! It’s such a beautiful place, filled with so many kinds of fruit trees and other unique plant species to discover. I also enjoyed spotting the animals wandering around, which made the walk even more charming. The information boards were very helpful as well, they explained the different uses of each plant, making the visit both relaxing and educational. The entrance fee is €8 per adult, and I spent around 2.5 hours exploring the park at a comfortable pace. A lovely and peaceful walk through nature that I would definitely recommend! 🌿

Wonderful experience. It’s a 2.5km one-way path through a wide variety of plants, taking us 1.5 hours but recommended to be 2 hours. It’s mostly shaded (very helpful in summer), and though it winds a little downhill and uphill we didn’t find the rocky path too difficult (though it is not for those with mobility issues). Suggest making sure to have water during the walk - they sell 500ml bottles at the front (€0,50 when we came). There is great signage throughout about the numerous plant varieties - almost too much information but just choose to read the ones that caught our eye. The amount of wildlife was a special surprise - many peacocks with their recent babies throughout, small geckos, butterflies, bees, donkeys, ducks, geese, and even two deer (that quickly fled when they saw us). Restaurant is at the entrance/exit area and table service only. Though great views we just picked up a few waters and orange juice to go at the entrance area. Toilets nice and clean, though note there are no toilet seats for women’s stalls. Shop had a wide selection of items available to purchase. Car park decently sized, and we had no issues finding a close spot. One electric charger available. A few switchback roads at the end of driving there but fairly wide (for mountain roads) so no problem. Note: Pictures in route order. Also In summer (July/August) cicadas out and were quite loud (commonly 80/90 decibels according to my watch). Typical for the entire island during this time but not quite the peaceful walk originally planned for.

I didn’t quite u destined this is not accessible by a car or a buggy and drove all the way out to see it only to find a single track hiking trail. I guess I should have researched this better. The road to get to it is pretty rough as it is first a paved road and then a dirt road. Then it gets pretty rough and then to find out I don’t get to see without hiking was disappointing. Next time I come to see the island I will arrange a boat tour to see this!

A boat trip to Kleftiko is an absolute must-do while visiting Milos. We did a catamaran trip with Polco Sailing and it was one of the best days we had in Greece. The water is clear and warm, the history of the area is so interesting, and the rock formations are stunning.

Really the best way to get here is through a boat tour. I went with a great group. The waters were clear and fairly calm. Since it's October it was fairly chilly but the sun was shining so the cool water was welcome.

go by car and then walk on the designated road, I assume that 90% of the length of the car road is better quality than anywhere else on the island. We went with a Fiat Panda without any problems. When we arrived on foot at the shore, the boat tourers were surprised how we got there on foot...

Absolutely stunning! My husband and I made the hike down and brought our goggles with us. We were able to swim to the caves and have a great snorkeling experience, as well as comfortably relax on in the private rock area at the end of the hike. Definitely recommend!

A must go place in Milos. Better visit it in the morning with better sunlight and lesser people. Highly recommended to wear water shoes for easy walking and getting back to shores after swimming. Water is quite cold in October

Went here twice during our weeklong visit to Milos! This place is out of this world — definitely one of my favorite watering holes ever. I’d recommend going for sunrise or sunset to avoid the crowds.

I would give this more stars if not for the huge tourist crowds and the ridiculous prices of the restaurants. The souvenirs were also more expensive than other tourist destinations. But the island is indeed beautiful and the scenery is definitely very photogenic. It gets quite loud and festive in the evening. Good for those who love bustling and busy atmosphere with breathtaking views. For those who like quieter places you can always steer away from the shore into the alleyways where there a small hidden gems.

It was interesting to walk from the cruise ship to the windmills and see the beach areas along the way lined with many restaurants overlooking the sea. Walked thru the narrow streets to get a taste of Mykonos. Just in a few spots the walking paths are narrow and border the sea so be careful. Nice place to visit but not necessarily stay for a number of days.

Mykonos Town in general: I had high hopes of Mykonos, old fashioned unspoilt little white-washed buildings, small narrow cobbled streets, lots of shops and restaurants within, very picturesque, small pretty churches dotted about. Nice harbour surrounded by cafes and restaurants, picture postcard stuff. I was not disappointed in that respect, absolutely amazing and pretty. Sadly, though, this is the town’s downfall and a major problem, as it attracts between 2-5 cruise ships a day during the holiday season. (Speaking to various locals, it appears the island more or less closes down out of season, Nov.-Mar., when the cruise ships stop coming). The thousands of cruisers makes the town very busy, people milling about trying to navigate the small alleyways and streets, and it can get very hot and oppressive. Mykonos has a reputation for being relatively expensive – make up your own mind. The whole town is geared to the cruise ship tourists and maximising their profits, charging stupid money for what is essentially typical holiday nicknack tat. The ‘supermarkets’ (read corner shops) only seem to sell booze, tobacco, toiletries, and crisps – nothing useful to sustain yourself if you were self-catering (there must be something somewhere on the island where you can buy meat and veg etc. but it’ll require a car or taxi as there’s nothing in the capital). Cheap nasty looking bottle of wine? Starts at around € 18.50; anything recognisable is € 30-50. The restaurant prices don’t seem too bad (is that because the cruise lot don’t eat there?), about what you’d expect to pay anywhere else, but where they do get you is on the booze, c. € 10-15 a pint. They typically only sell 33cl bottled beer at € 7-10. Some restaurants are asking € 80-90 for a bottle of wine. Your liver will enjoy this holiday. Another unusual influence is, I would estimate 90% of the restaurants more or less offer the same thing, listing themselves as Greek/Mediterranean/European – basically, Greek. The other restaurants call themselves Italian/Mediterranean/European, a nod to Italian, plus there are literally a couple of hints at Japanese. There is an Indian and a Mexican, half a mile outside the town up the big hill. I was disappointed by the lack of variety. Chinese/Thai? Forget it. I’m not sure I’ve been to any place in Europe that doesn’t have a number of Chinese restaurants. I was told that there are only 30 taxis on the island. They are not short of business. I wanted to book a trip to and from the Indian restaurant 10 mins away. I was told that there was no point trying to book a taxis as there was no guarantee they would turn up. So I booked a private hire to ensure we honoured the restaurant booking, € 72, kerching. I do not think I was being deliberately ripped off. I guess you cannot blame the locals for trying to make a good living, particularly, as in theory they only have 7 months in which to do so, but it’s very sad that such a lovely place – like so many around the world - has been ruined by tourism (driven by greed) and lost most of its authenticity.

Watched the sunset on October 1st. Beautiful view! Got there about 30 minutes before the sunset and was able to grab a great spot on a bench. Lots of people gathered after us to watch the sunset here but there are plenty of spots to sit or stand near the windmills and below them.

Great views, plenty to see and do. If you are taking a cruise it’s a bit of a walk but very doable. There’s a lot to do throughout the walk. Plenty of stores and restaurants along the path.

As i have seen so many windmill pics from different social media, therefore the reality was no more big surprising. However the cute animals from this island made the place become more interesting.

Signature landmark is a must to visit if you going to travel to Mykonos in the first time. Even in summer, it is very windy location. Hence, if you wanna take photos, prepare some hat or tie your hair properly. From this location , it is just a few minutes to walk to Little Venice so plan a whole day here.

The location may seem nice, but don’t let that fool you — this place is a tourist trap. Prices are extremely high (we paid €150 for just four drinks), and the service is solely focused on pushing the bill higher, not on providing a good experience. After charging us that much, they didn’t even bring us ice when we asked. It felt careless and profit-driven. There are many better places to enjoy in Mykonos — avoid this one and don’t let it ruin your trip.

The spot is nice and in one of the most beautiful beaches of Mykonos. Staff is kind and willing to help thought the prices should be seriously revised to meet an acceptable value for money. Charging 37 euro 1l juice or 45euro a club sandwich is ridiculous even for Mykonos. Consider a revision cause it’s a pitty and creates wrong impression for the island and it’s services.

We visited this beach club and had a very unpleasant experience. As soon as we sat down, the waiter asked if we were from Israel — we are Italian, but that’s not the point. The question was inappropriate and offensive. Later, when I politely asked about the ingredients in the food, he became aggressive and dismissive. Not a good place for group of just women. There is clearly no sense of customer service here. When we paid he added the tip for himself by himself. It was very embarrassing and disappointing — especially when you’re on holiday looking to relax and enjoy yourself.

SCAM ! DECEPTIVE. The worst I have seen. They don't provide drink menus, then claim they don't have beer in bottles, then sell you a draft in a tacky glass boot and charge 40 dollars for it. The pizza tasted like cardboard, probably the cheapest frozen pizza they could find. Definitely read some of the other reviews before you go here. 3 drinks and a bit of food, 600 euro. 2 bottles of wine , a fanta and a calamari. 999 euro. Felt like it was run by organized crime . AVOID THUS PLACE.

Do not go to this place. They overcharge and lie. they are thieves. This is not the reputation we want in Greece. “When the bill came back I was appalled as the Calamari was €148, the milkshakes which we never wanted but were forced to order for our kids were €38 each and the salad and bread which we were told were free were €28 and 14.50 respectively. I got upset and told the waiter and cashier that this was incorrect and they started grouping up and getting mad. The cashier took the receipt and chopped off the top part which had their name, address and date of transaction details.

Scam alert! They said sunbeds were free with drinks, but never mentioned cocktails are 58 EUR each. Staff pressured us to order immediately and hovered over us until we did. Total tourist trap – avoid at all costs.

Very nice beach for couples and families... The beach is very nice with crystal clear water and sandy bed. There are many beach clubs offering sun loungers and umbrellas. The price range for two loungers and one umbrella can vary from 20 euros to 50 euros depending on the beach club (old or new) and proximity to the water. We stayed at Dove beach club on the front row for 50 euros. However you can simply enter the beach free of charge, put your towel on the sand, and enjoy the full day without paying anything. What is annoying on the beach are the street vendors going back and forth trying so sell you various kind of merchandise. This beach is good for families with kids. We saw many with their kids. There is also a small parking area which you can use free of charge if you arrive early.

As many other beaches we have experienced in Turkey, also this one is full of garbage. It's quite disgusting, and a pity. There seems to be no municipal cleaning service and people are uncivilised too. The beach itself could be gorgeous, long shore, shallow water.

This beach is undoubtedly one of the best beaches we have ever visited. Its pristine, golden-white sands and mesmerizing turquoise waters create a postcard-perfect scene. The beach is impeccably clean and offers a tranquil escape with complimentary sun loungers. Our kids were in absolute heaven. A must-visit!

This is a difficult one, the beach in so many ways is superb. It long, sandy, shallow, the water even in late September is warm enough for swimming comfortably BUT.... Maybe it's because it's the end of the season but the beach is covered in rubbish, I mean cigarette buts, bottle caps, plastic of all sorts, I mean just so much. Ok you might say well lots of beaches have bits of rubbish on them these days but thus is the main tourist beach that is so long and wide it could easily have a tractor go up and down at night with one of those rubbish filter / trailers behind it. Such a shame.

Beautiful and clean public beach. Lots of space to find a good spot. Water is so clear and even end of September still OK temperature wise. There are cabins where you can change and even open showers to wash off the sand. Toilets are there but might be hard to look at... Nevertheless for a public and free beach extremely pleasant.

Stunning beach. Very clean. Water is warm and flat. Did plenty of swimming here in summer. A must visit.

Fun hike and experience past the river and waterfalls. Not an easy path as you cross over multiple surfaces, so it is a good challenge. Make sure to wear swimming clothes if you want to make it to the final waterfall. Best to park near the beach.

⸻ If you’re in Samos, this is an absolute must-visit! If you love adventure, water, and waterfalls, this place is perfect for you. It was truly an amazing experience. There’s no rope at the first crossing, but the second part has a rope to help you pass. Alternatively, you can use the ladder to get to the other side — it’s definitely the easier option. The water was beautiful — not freezing cold, just refreshing enough. One of the most stunning waterfalls I’ve ever seen in my life. Highly recommended!

Very nice walk. Bring your swimsuit if you want to see the first waterfall. At the restaurant, feel free to ask if you can see the food, the cook will be delighted to show you.

Nice, interesting place to visit. There is a lot of green trees and bush, calm river and rest from sun. First of all: you need waterproof bag, shoes for water and rocks and good condition. To reach first waterfall it’s sth around 15-20 minutes of walk, then you have to swim sth around one minute in cold water and you’ll see first of them. Nothing complicated, but still: you have to swim and don’t be afraid about rocks. Too see another ones, you need go by stairs (they are pretty scary) and then reaching taverna, go down also by stairs and steep hillside. On the right there is second waterfall (you have to go through the river). On the left, you have to go sth around 20 minutes in the river bed - a lot of slippy rocks. Be careful! It’s not for people who are not physically active. Although, still worth to see it.

Beautiful place. getting to the falls requires some wading and occasional short swims in cold water. Don't leave your expensive Salomon walking shoes at the start though as someone will steal them while leaving cheaper trainers and other stuff 🤬

Quite cool place but water cold as ice, even in July. Water shoes are necessary, just like swimming ability cause in one place in deeper, without feeling ground.

Bring good water shoes not flipflops. A wetbag to put your belongings (phone, water, a fruit), swimwear and strong knees and hands ;)To get to the "first part" of The waterfall you need to go up the wooden stairs (5min climb) then you go down on the side of the restaurant. Enjoy the adventure, take you time don't rush it. "Second part" we couldn't get there cause we weren't stong enough to pull ourselves up the rope. I wish I was cause I enjoyed that part we did do.

The most beautiful island, if you like Greece it's a place you must go, still very authentic, lots of beautiful beaches, churches, historic places to visit, if you don't go you will never understand the peace it brings to the soul.

The pleasant atmosphere of the island sets you up for rest. There are places for quiet relaxation and fun, noisy recreation. A large selection of taverns and souvenirs. But the cats here are not fed or given water either How to change this???

I visit the island every year! It is a big island with lovely places full of restaurants and coffee! The beaches are lovely and you can still find beaches that don't charge the umbrella and the sunbeds on top of your order! Pythagoreio, Marathokabos, Kokkari, and psili Ammos are a few of the places you can visit!

While being over in Turkey we done the day visit to the Greek island Samos. We had a really nice day over on the island and would recommend going if you've got the chance. It's absolutely beautiful! The only thing I would say is make sure you know what you want to do before going and possibly think about hiring a motorbike or car for the day as some of the main attractions are more inland of the island. We visited a lovely little pizza restaurant just along down from the main square of the marina which I would also highly recommend, really reasonable priced and amazing food!

Very nice island. In September the water was too cold to really swim or dive, but the people are very nice and the prices are only high in Pythagoreo and Kampos, everywhere else it's pretty cheap. The highlight of the island is the village Manolates there you can also find the only museum of the island. You need a car to explore the island. Its big enough to keep you occupied for a couple of weeks, but nearly all churches are closed or in disrepair. Honest review: Its totally worth a visit and has its own charme, but don't expect too much.

Wonderful place. The locals are really friendly and the island is great for hiking. It has a bit more foliage than some of the smaller islands which makes for great shade when the sun's burning. There are a lot of affordable places to eat and quite some nice hotels (I stayed at Villa Maria). You can get around the island by car or bus (or walking but that takes a bit long if all you need are some tomatoes for dinner). If you intend to use the bus often, which is what I did, make sure to inquire about departure times with locals, as this appears to change often. *Sidenote: I added a photo of the bus schedule as for april 2022.

Big surprise! Green island with beautiful beaches and warm, crystal clear sea and a few attraction. For active people I highly recommend hiking to Seitani beach and swimming in potami waterfalls, for lazy days Livadaki beach is a must, you won’t be bored. The people are super friendly, kind and talkative. Food tasty and affordable. I would say the west side prefer meat, in the East sea food is more common. There is no clubs. A lot of elderly tourists mainly from Germany. The city of Samos and Karlovasi looks like abandoned with its damaged buildings in other hand Pitagorio is absolutely lovely. Rent a car is a need. Take your swimming shoes but can forget snorkling. Temperature in October still warm 23-28°, evenings are chill and windy. Overall It is nice place to visit and rest.

It is a good place to have fun, especially if you have children. There are also many slides for adults. The ticket price includes food and drinks. However, we could not eat it. Everything was not tasty. Even the pasta was not cooked properly. The sausages were disgusting and seemed to be made of paper. The burger was also not tasty. You will have fun on the slides, but you will remain hungry.

The location and the sea are wonderful, and there are many enjoyable water slides. However, I am a bit concerned about the safety aspects. The metal platforms and stairs appear rusty, and the columns do not inspire confidence. I believe it would be beneficial to have a third party conduct a thorough inspection to ensure everything is in proper order. Regarding the inclusive lunch, while the concept is appreciated, the food is basic, and the quality is not particularly appealing, making it more of a necessity than a culinary delight.

Except for its price of ₺645 ($25), food and facilities were good enough. I'd recommend.

We visited last year. Cheap, nice but crowded and the food is not great.

Have really good water slides and very safe there are too many lifeguards. But there are many queues. And foods is not good. The prices cannot be said to be fair.

A very nice water park. A large selection of slides and attractions, both for children and adults. The water park itself is clean. The waiting time to enter the slides is quite short, especially when compared to other water parks. Lockers are available on site. There is a snack bar in the aquapark and juice dispensers. I don't know the price of the entrance, because we had them for free as part of our stay, but being there, it's definitely worth a visit with the kids.

Since you can’t really drive all the way through the park I have to get a rating at three. Is our understanding that there is a military base at the end of the peninsula which overlooks Greece so they do not allow your access to that part of the pregnancy.

Rated as one of the top 10 beaches we found in an online article we decided to head along in the car. The park is separated into around 4 or 5 beach areas each with its own car park and its own access to the beach. Several have cafes serving soft drinks (non alcoholic) and snacks only in what I can only describe as an archaic fashion. With dirty sunbeds at a cost there are however, free to use picnic benches which I would highly recommend but seemingly a feature well recognised by the locals. If you're lucky enough to be traveling in a car then I'd recommend finding your own private beach!

I went to Dilek National Park on a weekday in May 2023 driving a motorbike. You can only enter from the north side of the peninsula for a ticket. There are a few beaches that you can visit and are not too far from the entrance. Beaches are beautiful and equipped with facilities for pic-nic, bars and plenty of toilets. At the time of my visit, none of the cafes/restaurants were open. Unfortunately the area that you can visit is quite limited compared to the extent of the peninsula, I wish I could visit more. Also, if you need info about the peninsula and trekking possibilities there isn’t much available and I recommend visiting the tourist information point in Kusadasi (opposite the port).

If you have a car or go by bus or taxi the beaches are a refreshing change from the resort complex! Relatively harmless boar roam around scavenging but only because idiots feed them and don't understand they'll keep coming!

Absolutely beautiful. The park was perfect for any family get together or picnic for two. The beauty in Turkey is spectacular. Friendly people everywhere.

The site is closed indeed, as they are actively building a new entrance pavilion (I have seen no restoration being done on the site itself). Still you can get a good view from behind the fence and you can also walk around the temple behind the fence - there is a paved path, getting views from several angles - it still gives an unforgettable grandeur impression. The security cameras on the perimeter make sure nobody scales the fence. The temple is so massive it’s surprising it has suffered such severe damage, but apparently a powerful earthquake has destroyed it in 7th century A.D.

I visited the Temple of Apollo in early September on a weekday, and it was a great, with hardly any other tourists. The quiet made it easy to take in the atmosphere. We skipped the headphone guide since there are plenty of well-written boards around the site. You’re free to walk right up the temple steps and wander around at your own pace, which I loved. The inner sanctum, where the oracle once spoke, still carries a strong presence. The acoustics there are striking; even a soft voice carries. If you’re after an authentic ancient site that hasn’t been overrun by crowds, this is a place I’d highly recommend. It feels both accessible and special.

Beautiful ruins. Little tip... Admission is only 6 euros per person so save yourself some money and dont buy a tour. It a 12 minute walk off the No.4 bus route. The same bus will take you to the Mavisehir Market. The bus is 25 lira each which is a bargain but it can get very very crammed.

It is a very very great historical place and it is in quite good situation and well preserved… Definitely recommend to visit it… We visited the Temple of Apollo and it was really really great due to the fact first of all that the facade lightings were very lovely and second it was marvellous to run away from day heat so by the evening visit you really can enjoy the the site in a more different way because the evening hours provides more cooler temperature and on the other hand it has also less crowded environment…

The Temple of Apollo in Didim is an absolute gem! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by the awe-inspiring ruins. It wasn’t just a temple; it was home to one of the most famous oracles of the ancient Greek world, second only to Delphi. Pilgrims from across the Mediterranean traveled there to consult the oracle, making it a major spiritual and cultural hub. You should definitely visit this historical place.

Visited with my partner and two young kids and all loved it, Beautiful Greek ruins. Definitely worth the visit if staying in the didim/Altinkum area

Its a very pretty and popular place a lot to explore city centre the cost for a taxi to this place is 250tl. The ticket to go in is 300tl per person you can only pay in TL.

Lovely service here all staff members are kind and friendly happy to go above and beyond this was meant to me a lovely getaway for my and my partner are 1st holiday together away in the middle of no where was told there will be entertainment here as we arrived there was no entertainment the rooms aren’t what they look like we will both won’t be coming back here it’s are 1st time and last night we come along with the room not being cleaned enough walked into the bathroom as previous person has left stuff on the walls(snobs) all dried and all the mirrors and shower was stinking no entertainment or anything only music nothing in the description on us viewing the hotel before booking was here what a big let down on are first holiday together

This hotel is classed as all inclusive. If you go please bring lots of money to eat out because the food is disgusting full of flies and cold and the same nearly every day I would not give it to a dog. The only good this is the beach is right outside. Don’t expect to get wifi in your room. Only accessible by the pool or the lobby and it is terrible. The bathroom sink leaking water all over the floor as well.

I come here every year. Just had my 4th holiday here. Amazing service as usual from all the staff, Roger Metin oruno furkhan ahmed bedir on the bar and all the boys in the restaurant. Lovely food, good variety, rooms lovely and cleaned every day, entertainment almost every night which was brilliant as always. And yes I’ll be back again next May, look forward to seeing it. Highly recommend my favourite hotel and resort.

Awful experience. HOTEL AND MINDSET OF STAFF LOCKED IN ANOTHER CENTURY. Very basic old run down hotel. Only Turkish food. NO food labels. Pool tiny. NO AIR CONDITIONING IN 50 -55%DEGREE HEAT. FOOD LIMITED NO ENGLISH SPEAKING STAFF DISCRIMINATION NO WIFI NO KETTLE IN ROOM HAVE TO PAY A FOR TEA AND COFFEE more like a hostel than hotel. I was sexually assaulted by member of staff. He was told to stay away from me. Crazy. My bag and personal belongings stolen Staff orginally refused to check CTV. Very traumatic experience However there were some very kind members of staff Jasmine maid, Ikle reception 2 of ladies and guys who took me pice station and manager Sadik was helpful, letting me use his phone. Bar staff lovely. Only basic drinks, no snack bar, no ice cream or lollies Still trying to wrap my head around the whole experience.

Where do I start …The hotel is very basic ,we had no WiFi ,shower door and it was dirty and beds were like rocks.The food was disgusting barely edible and no staff members spoke English.There was no activities or entertainment.The only saving grace was the beach and weather even though people fight over sun-beds and if you didn’t want that needed to pay extra for them.Turkey is beautiful but don’t go near this hotel

We booked a room one month in advanced, for 3 people. When we arrived we were told that the reservation got mixed up and that we would stay at another hotel . They didn’t give our money back and refused to take any responsibility for their mistake . We got to the other hotel and it was much smaller and the rooms were tiny . The bathroom wasn’t even a proper bathroom. The only accommodation we got was that we could eat and use the pool at the other hotel but that was it .

This place is huge. One can find anything from printing service to suits and souvenirs. Of course there are a lot of restaurants and cafes. There is no need to visit every corner of it. Maybe just casually stroll and see where one is lead to.

Beautiful place, lots of stores to buy just about anything. Some are cheap and others expensive. Cool experience seeing the historical building and having a tasty Turkish coffee in the middle of the market. It’s closed on sundays. Free to walk around

Everything you want, dont want or you dont know you want is there. Not too busy but still full of life. The small cafes are a welcomed break.

A great place to walk around. We tried the mussels and rice. They were excellent. We also did the pickle juice which was also excellent. Lots and lots of interesting shops.

Unique bazaar as there is no goods and shops for tourists. Most of famous bazaar in Turkey is full of shops for tourist with expensive price. But here, most of customers are Izmir people. I like this bazaar. Merchants are friendly and kind! Visit here and feel some authentic turkey bazaar vibe!

Kemeralti bazaar is quite a busy place. You can find hundreds of things to buy from there as the prices are reasonably low. Make sure you have enough space in your suitcase before visiting the bazaar because there are too many souvenirs to buy. There are beautiful bags with Turkish embroidery patterns and praying beads and countless teas and coffees. There are numerous cafes to have a quick bite but they are all super busy. This bazaar is a must visit place.

Beautiful and sacred holy ground. Be prepared to do a lot of walking as most vehicles are not permitted close to the entrance. We enjoyed seeing the home of the Virgin Mary. The wall of intentions was moving and special. We enjoyed walking the grounds and looking at the landscape. Recommend dressing modestly or you will need to wear a covering. Photography is not permitted in the house.

In Meryemana, Turkiye, the Virgin Mary's House is located. Reverant, quiet, with a prayer wall we stood in a contemplative mode, remembering the struggles of Jesus and the prophecy that was to unfold. I thought of the pain Mary and her sisters endured, but still after all these years Mary provides love and forgiveness to all those in need. These prayers and requests were represent at the prayer wall at Mary's House. It was symbolic of the needs from people all over the world. One gentle man touched my heart so, as he went around retrieving prayer notes that had fallen off the wall. He tenderly returned each note from the ground to the wall. A qentle act of kindness. There are no photographs allowed in Mary's House but prayer candles may be purchased there. Worth the visit!

Mary lived in this house after death of Jesus Christ. The house has two small rooms. The environment is very peaceful here. You will need to walk 10 mins to reach the house. Because of queue you may get a few seconds only inside the house. Overall, a must visit place if you are in Izmir.

Is it actually Mary’s house or just a tourist trap? Jury is still out. Is it worth a visit for you to decide for yourself? Yup. They herd you through the house at a gallop so don’t expect to spend much time checking things out inside the house. Basically just a quick walk through of a tiny house. There’s a holy fountain and a wishing wall too. The whole site might take you 20 minutes to get through.

We are overjoyed after visiting this beautiful place. We were fortunate to arrive before closing time, so we had enough time to explore this magical place and appreciate its magnificence. Very peaceful and calm atmosphere.

There was about a 30 minute wait to reach the house. As you reach the house there is an open air alter with priests leading mass. You would need to check the schedule if necessary. Our guide shared that only about 12-14% of the house found in the foundation is from an archeological dig. You walk thru 3 rooms that include religious pictures and statue. After you leave the house you come to 3 fountains that have been blessed. There is then a fence where people tie their prayers. At the end of the walkway are restrooms and a museum shop.where you can purchase blessed icons. Right outside the gates and at the entry are shops selling souvenirs, candy and food. To me this seems out of place at a religious place.

Beautiful location. A lot of the structures are intact and well preserved it was difficult to get there without a guide, taxi or tour group, so it can be pricey. The ancient library is a major highlight and they do live reacting of Roman guards. Lots of history. There is a small bathroom and market stand will snacks and food around the midway point of the walk. When we went (end of June) it was 103 degrees F° with no shade. We spent about an hour and a half walking through but needed to leave due to the heat. Would love to walk around more. Important: bring good hiking shoes that grip, the marble floors are polished and slippery. We had hiking boots and sandals and still slipped a few times, but our friends with simple sneakers had to walk very slowly and carefully to avoid falling down.

It was designed not only to store scrolls and books—holding an estimated 12,000 manuscripts at its peak—but also to serve as a monumental tomb for Celsus, whose sarcophagus lies in a crypt beneath its main floor. Mark Anthony walked here long ago and households thrived and m markets prospered.

*Echoes of the Apostles and Empire* Standing in the Great Theatre of Ephesus is like standing in history itself. With a capacity of over 25,000 seats, this awe-inspiring structure was the largest theatre in ancient Asia Minor and still dominates the site with its grandeur. Built during the Hellenistic period and later expanded by the Romans, it hosted dramas, political events, and gladiator fights. For Christians, this theatre holds profound significance. According to Acts 19, the Apostle Paul’s preaching led many Ephesians to abandon idol worship, especially that of the goddess Artemis. This angered local silversmiths who made shrines for Artemis, causing a riot. The mob dragged Paul's companions into this very theatre, and for two hours the crowd shouted, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" Knowing this brings the stones to life with spiritual history. Unfortunately, during our recent visit, the theatre was under restoration, so we weren’t able to go inside. Still, seeing it from the outside was deeply moving. One unexpected highlight was meeting the famous local cat “Garfield,” who’s become something of a mascot at the theatre. We took so many fun photos with him—it truly made the visit even more memorable. Believed to be the largest in the ancient world: could host up to 25,000 seated spectators. Initially used for drama, in Roman times gladiatorial combats were also held on its stage. Elton John performed a special, solo concert at the Great Theater on July 17, 2001.

We stayed in Izmir and drove to it. It was roughly an hour to get to it. Very nice site and well preserved.

A must see. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made it easy to visualize how the residents lived. Very advanced facilities such as water pipes, tolet system etc. Make sure you arrive early. When our tour bus left the cars trying to enter was out of sight.

Nice sunny ☀️ weather, you pay 💰 per person 28.71 euros 💶 if you get the deal. Parking 🅿️ cost 💲 around 3€ There are a small market with lots of options. We did all the walking around in 3 hours but this will definitely depend on you. January is great as there are not many tourists and prices of hotels are cheaper.

The gorge was amazing and a decent challenge to make it to the end. The water is very cold at first but refreshing. Make sure your footwear is suitable for both water and climbing rocks. The views are amazing. We did the rafting and mud bath which was definitely worth it. The restaurants by the water are over priced but the views are great.

It's beautiful. For the ones that appreciate the nature I'm sure u'll love it here. I'll let my pictures speak for itself. The only thing I want to warn you, or give an advice, come early in the morning. We arrived at 9.30am and we did the "hike" (more like a walk) through the canyon within 2 hrs time. On the way back I couldn't believe how crowded the place has got. Crazy. And it was a weekday - Friday. So yes, definitely worth seeing. Also there are nice places u can eat, beautiful surroundings, it felt very refreshing :) and please make sure u bring water shoes, we rented shoes there for 100 Turkish lira per person.

The walk in the gorge was very short because of the rain the day before. There are some very cosy, hippy like terraces. You will have to wear a helmet. Be aware that you must cross the river at the start, bring water shoes! After that, the path is easy and dry.

Very cold water in this amazing canyon. Especially in the hot summer a cool place to go. You can also walk way up into the canyon for a long walk. Entrance fee is 65 tl. Parking is 200 tl.

This was a crackingly good day out and an excellent place to beat the heat. The water is icy cool and super refreshing and there are benches and tables in ankle high water so you can cool off while you eat. There is ziplining and rafting available (costs extra, about 500 lira each person/activity (£10)) in addition to the gorge itself, which is rather stunning and offers plenty of great photo opportunities. If you want to see everything, you will need to get wet, to at least knee high, so take some water shoes (I saw lots of lost sandals floating away) and beware that small children may need to be carried through some of the deeper or faster moving sections of the stream.

Don‘t go with a tour. Just take a local bus! Entry is 65. Watershoes to buy 200. Tours just go to the beginning of the gorge, you will miss incredible landscapes! Took me around 90 minutes inside. After 45 minutes there is a high waterfall, you can climb from inside the rocks if you feel confident. After that you can probably continue a while.

The natural beauty here was incredible. A few things will help you enjoy yourself: the water is FREEZING. I visited in September, it was a warm day, but the water remains absolutely ice cold. The rocks are pretty painful on bare feet, so water shoes would be good - but because of the current, flip flops were a bad choice. Your feet go numb really fast, and it's hard to keep the flip flops from falling off and floating away. We definitely saw multiple people slip and fall in, so having a dry bag for your things would be good. There are places to get food, ice cream, and souvenirs. It's cash only, and we did have to pay to park. The scale of the gorge is really hard to document, but it was incredible.

We were attending this attraction on Saturday, 11 o'clock. It took us 3.5 hours to get there from Fethiye so we couldn't make it earlier and we were ready to see many people inside , even though it wasn't high season anymore. You make a big circle on the car to get to the official parking lot, pay 120 tl for parking and then get through the gates. In October 2025 1 ticket costs 30 Euro and you pay in liras. Then you start your journey using a golf car or walking The territory is huge. At first, you walk through the ancient city and it takes you around 20 minutes to get to the travertines. There are not many people around, they are all chilling at the pools. There's a beautiful garden and mountains around your way, many benches and tables for the picnic which is really nice. You can also visit the museum and the ancient theatre. The travertines are very beautiful in the sunlight. Not all of them are filled with water but you can still take great pictures Some people get deep down so they are alone in the bigger area, all of the tourists are concentrated on top of the pools. You need to take of the shoes to get there, the stones can be slippery but the water is pretty warm. The views around are breathtaking! You can also enjoy your time at the cafes right next to the travertines and get some snacks. So I'd say it was worth visiting once in the life time (in the sunny weather and preferably earlier on the weekday) however the entrance fee is very high and I'm not sure it's equivalent to the experience you get

Pamukkale is impressive from the first step. The snow-white terraces and azure pools look almost unreal, like a natural chalk castle. Hiking trails allow you to get close to the cascades; the water is warm and pleasantly tickles your feet. There are many tourists, so peaceful photos are rare-arrive early in the morning or late in the evening. There's an entrance fee, and some terraces are closed for conservation, but the overall view is breathtaking. Nearby Hierapolis boasts a well-preserved Roman amphitheater it's worth a visit. Bring comfortable shoes, a swimsuit, and water; don't leave litter and respect the securit rules. I highly recommend it it's one of those places that's easier to experience than to describe.

It is an amazing natural formation by accumulating minerals from the flowing hot spring water. There is a dedicated section where tourists can experience travertine and hot spring water under their feet. It is required to enter the travertine area without shoes and socks. There is a self serve cafeteria. There are always a huge number of tourists visiting it. Considering that there is an entry fee, the authority could increase the number of WC facilities.

A magical place for me! The real experience of walking barefoot (like most) or with some bathing shoes in this white marvel is bar none. Even though there is a lot of water, I found the surfaces to be not slippery at all. You can spend a few hours just running around the hill. Enterprise of €30 is a bit steep.

We entered through the South Gate, which is the closest entrance to the travertines. If you’re visiting with children, elderly people, or anyone with walking difficulties, it’s better to take a buggy car — tickets for it are available right after the ticket check. The amphitheatre is a bit uphill, but worth the short climb. Many of the travertine pools had water during our visit, and all the main attractions — the travertines, ancient amphitheatre, Cleopatra Pool, and other monuments — are located within the same area. Unfortunately, the Cleopatra Pool was closed for renovation when we visited. Please note that the entry gate opens only at 8 a.m. We arrived at 6:30 a.m. but were told that even the parking area gates would open only at 8 a.m. We still got to enjoy watching the hot air balloons take off around 6:30 a.m. from outside the gate, which was a beautiful experience.

Very beautiful place. Very interesting. It is better to come with short clothes or a swimsuit. It's just a shame that it's so expensive for tourists. For tourists 30 euros and for Turks 4 euros. At the checkout they are trying to sell headphones For 10 euros. That they don't need them at all.

It’s definitely an attraction worth visiting, but I don’t feel the €30 entrance fee is justified. The place is rich in history and the audio guide shares fascinating stories from the past, making it a wonderful site to learn from. Still, the price feels a bit too high. I hope the government could consider lowering the entrance fee or at least offering discounted rates for groups. The colors give the impression of being painted, and uncovering the history behind them makes the experience truly engaging.

Great day out, very pretty and amazing sight. The salt was a bit hard on your feet at times as you can't wear shoes until you get to the top. It was nice to paddle in the pools.

We enjoyed ourselves and it was very informative. The ruins are cool especially the reconstructions but also just lots of columns and carving laying about. The museum was also very good. It was hot but there are numerous fountains and shady benches and picnic tables, cafe prices are relatively reasonable considering.

Beautiful site, but frustrating experience Hierapolis is stunning, with incredible ancient ruins and breathtaking views. However, the visitor experience could be much better. They charge $10 for Bluetooth headphones, but you can’t even use them during the tour, which feels misleading. While the history and scenery are worth seeing, the management of tours and extra charges leaves a lot to be desired.

If you love going back in time to see how the ancient people lived, then this is a must see place. The amphitheater is mind blowing and breathe taking. This was a city that had Roman influence and the artifacts and carving were mind boggling.

Completely bad ass. Mega old city up on a hill. The tomb of Philip the Apostle, BTW it's empty. Calcium pools at sunrise, i cut my foot in there. Balloons at sunrise...way cool. Oh and the Gates of Hell. You can't go in there because, yep, you'll die. WOO HOO!!!

It's a quiet good place but to much people and looks kinda artificial. Not enough water and it could be very hot in a sunny day. And in the entrance they try to scam you. They'll give you 30 euro tickets then will charge like 40 euros and won't even ask if you wanna pay or not I just realized it because I was paying for few people and the money it deducted was like insane then I asked them why have I been charged extra they said that they gave me a headphone that I never asked for then somehow I managed to return the head phone and get refunded but I bet 90% of people who are paying by a card won't even notice

Nice place to see some history, be prepared to walk and get lots of sun. Has some cafes for food and drink Be aware that if you want to walk down you need to go barefoot. Otherwise you're taking one of the roads back down (long way). There is parking even outside the lot along the road and some other places for free.

We drove from Antalya to Salda Lake, and the drive was smooth and easy, with clear roads. The lake itself is visible from a distance, but the main tourist area is a bit further inside. Positives: •Great for Photography: The lake offers stunning views that are perfect for photography enthusiasts. •Fresh Air: The surroundings are refreshing, providing a great escape into nature. •Beautiful Views: The lake’s unique turquoise waters make for an amazing sight. Improvement: •Cleanliness of Shoreline: While the lake is beautiful overall, the shore could be cleaner. Extra Note: Be cautious of honey bees in the area. One seemed especially interested in my wife, leaving her with a memorable sting! A picturesque spot with minor drawbacks, Salda Lake is worth visiting for nature lovers and photographers.

I thought it was underwhelming but my wife thought it was great. It was on the way to Pamukkale from Sagalassos so worth a short detour. We just waded in, but some people were swimming. I can't say I noticed any special healing powers ;)

Beautiful tranquil lake. Not crowded when I visited in an October afternoon.

We were pretty hyped about coming here after reading it. The lake is a unique experience, but was not exactly what we thought. We went to a campground on the NW side of the lake and there was a sign saying "Prohibited entry to lake" with no exploration as to why. We didn't know if it was due to no lifeguard or because of something harmful in the water. We continued to drive around to the east side where there is a restaurant. We ate there (better food than expected) and they said we could get in the lake, which the kids did. All in all it's a neat experience, but we didn't see anything around the lake that actually talked about the significance of it. And there wasn't a single dock; we didn't see any boats, canoes, etc.

What an amazing nature and beauty about this place which is unbelievable, lake is super huge and we went from one corner to another even the village is so beautiful while going to Salda Lake. A must place to visit and also there restaurants and coffee shops around some key spots with restroom facilities.

Beautiful adventure!! Many natural vents with permanent flames above the ruins of the temple of Hephaistos You must take with you bottles of water and plenty of tissues because you will have so much sweating and become thirsty.. About 1000 meters climbing up with difficulty .. there are many rocks and tortious pathways ..

Make sure you’re QUITE fit and have no mobility issues. Intense 1km climb to the top on a rocky path with huge steps. Make sure it’s not going to rain; the rocks get pretty slippery. If you come close to dusk/night, bring big flashlights and hope you have good night vision. The fire coming out of the mountain is super cool though. Bring marshmallows! It’s about the size of a small campfire. The area at the bottom of the mountain is quite peaceful as well, which was surprising for a tourist attraction. Btw the road leading down to it is a quite windy downhill with many blind curves.

Amazing place to visit, especially at night time. There is a steep hike, so don't bother if you don't have the means. Have a hiking shoes on and water with you, and if you plan to visit at night, have head light or flashlight with you, and be very careful with every step, some parts of the trail can be a bit slippery.

So someone tells me there’s a place in Turkey where fire literally comes out of the ground. Naturally, I assume it’s one of those tourism exaggerations. Like when a hotel calls their pool “an oasis” and it turns out to be a lukewarm puddle next to a parking lot. Or when you’re promised an “authentic village experience” and get a guy in a tunic selling Pringles. But then I get to Mount Chimaera. And, folks, there ARE flames. Real, actual, unexplained flames just casually shooting out of the rocky hillside like it’s no big deal. No wood. No gas line. No special effects budget. Just fire. Eternal, logic-defying fire. The ancient Greeks looked at this and went, “Yep, monster breath.” And honestly? That explanation makes more sense to me than natural gas seeping through rock fissures or whatever science is trying to say. I still don’t believe what I saw. I kept blinking. I stare at the ground in disbelief a lot but not like this.

20-25 minute hike to see the eternal flame, pretty cool really! Bring some marshmallows to roast over the flames

Beautiful area to visit , buy your marshmallows at the entrance to toast on the fires. The walk up is about 1km from the car park but some of the steps are quite steep and uneven , we did it in winter , I would imagine it’s much harder during the hot summer months.

Great experience. Was £36 each 6/9/25. Cable carts hold roughly 30 people. You can spend along as you want at the top. Mosque was closed, expo space was closed. Parking free at bottom. Nice road to the cable cart. Had fun racing up and down. Be careful as no barriers and if you go off you're probably dead.

Taking the Olympos Teleferik sounded exciting, but unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side. When we reached the top, everything was covered in thick fog we could barely see anything! It was a bit disappointing, especially since the ticket is quite pricey. If you plan to visit, definitely check the weather forecast beforehand. On a clear day, the view must be absolutely stunning, but in foggy conditions, you miss out on what makes the trip special. Most of the other activities at the top were also closed because of the weather. All in all, it was still an experience, but I wouldn’t go again. Once is enough and next time, I’d make sure to visit on a sunny day!

Excellent cable car ride. We didn’t have long to explore at the top though before we had to go sadly as we were accosted by the photographers who said there was no obligation to buy. We said no thank you numerous times and then gave in because they wouldn’t leave us alone. After having photos done in an out of bounds section at the top, the photographer took us to show us the photos. Even just one photo was 17 Euros alone so we declined even though they were very good. Despite not being obligated to buy, the photographer was not happy with us and pulled his face at us which I felt was rude. The gift shop was a little expensive but very good. The coffee shop was good value but staff were a little ignorant, looking me up and down. I enjoyed the cable car ride down. Recommended just to see the views alone.

Great place, beautiful views. Suitable for kids, gets crowded after a while but still very much worth it. Better to get the tickets online rather than local guides as it's cheaper.

To get to the lift there is a 20 min car journey from the road. The cable car is large and takes about 30 people. The height covered is so big that my es ached from the pressire changes. The view st the top was amazing. Take a jacket as it is cold. The building is spacious and the food adequate.

We went there with a rented car. Car broke down 800m from destination. Staff were very helpfull and found a man thats had jump leads to start the car and helped with this regard. Great views, and surprisingly cheaper prices on top of the mountain than at the bottom.

Great view - really nice excursion. However, the price tag is a bit high. We paid a bit below 200 € for 3 adults and two kids. The view is fantastic. Combine it with Paragliding and it is really worth it 👍.

The place is in ruins, you will be walking through a jungle forest with large stones and pieces of column all around you. Occasionally, you’ll see a wall or an arch. There are a few exceptions to this, the most notable being the theater, which is in remarkably great shape given how the rest of the city fared, and the small temple of Artemis (not the one near the parking lot). The setting is amazing, once you get up to the higher levels, you can see that you’re sitting in a straddle of a few shorter peaks with great views down two large valleys. Bring hiking shoes, the town is about a Moderately steep hike up from the parking lot. It took me about 3 1/2 hours round-trip and I got to see most of what I wanted but not everything. I walked about 9000 steps and climbed 51 floors. So it’s not like many sites where you pull up to the parking lot walk a kilometer and see just about everything.

The theater place at the border of a cliff worth the trip alone. Small hike from the parking, around 20min. Correct shoes needed and water.

Amazing place. Like Indiana Jones discovery. Fully natural with no manmade artifacts. One of the best ruins I have seen anywhere in Europe. It's a uphill ride from the entry gates which is about 5 km below. Then from the car park it's a 30 minutes walk up. Of this the first 10 minutes is tiring but after that it's all very exciting. A must visit.

Don’t visit the site, if you have an army like Alexander the Great did. He returned and went away from this eagle cradle. Otherwise with peacefull concerns Termessos calls you for a great experience in both, in history and in nature!

My lord this place was like no other ancient city I've visited in Turkey so far and I've been to more than 10+ now! There was so much still there lying as rubble on the floor, especially on what was the main street in the city, and it looks as though it has remained untouched for centuries since it was destroyed by earthquakes. But the piece de resistance was the largely intact remains of the theatre in the mountains, really magical and ethereal! Loved this place!

Incredibly delicious Turkish food. Sedat is a great host and very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We highly enjoyed the aubergine with meat dish, Adana kebab, and chicken skewers which were all very flavourful, tender, and well cooked. The aubergine was sensational Everything was well seasoned and cooked nicely. The restaurant is also very clean and in a great location in the Old Town

Amazing service, very kind and helpful and honest staff. Both dishes were very tasty, juicy and fresh. The brought us free mezze and yoghurt dip with fresh bread before the food which were tasty as well. After lunch they brought us free tea which was very good too. They will recommend getting salad or soup, or the fresh juice which they also make instead of the bottled juice for example, but up selling is part of any good waiter's job, if you say no they're extremely respectful and polite about it of course. We came for the reviews and we were not let down, we were very vary of not getting scammed while dining in the center but instead they ended up charging us TOO LITTLE, and when I brought it up with the waiter and then the owner that we should be paying MORE they were super friendly and still charged us the lower amount, so we just tipped instead. Ibrahim was out waiter, and unlike other restaurants, these guys didn't ask us to review them but I feel like it's only fair to appreciate their good work amongst so many other tourist traps.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and authentically Turkish. The service was excellent, the staff were very welcoming and attentive. What made it even more special was that the owner kindly offered us tea and coffee at the end, free of charge – a lovely gesture of hospitality. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

Good restaurant, good service. Went with my wife loved the food, the hosts are really friendly, welcoming. Suggest to have indoor seating as well as there is place inside too, which is unused. The heat can be difficult to have a nice meal.

The adana and urfa kebabs are nice, the soups/lahmacun are good too. I had no issues but based on other peoples experiences check the prices I suppose Portions are a bit small for what you pay but I feel that's the case for most places in old town No free tea for me tho... Anyways my main issue was the shop guy opposite, must have smoked a whole forest as I was trying to enjoy my food

By far the BEST restaurant I’ve visited in Kaleiçi. Every dish is delicious, my personal favorite being the Beyti Kebab with yogurt. The Adana is amazing. The host is very genuine and uplifting, he’s got great energy and a great crew. You will feel very welcomed and you will enjoy your food 100%

Beautiful natural wonder right by the Antalya coastline. The waterfalls drop directly into the Mediterranean, which makes for a stunning view, especially at sunset. You can enjoy the sight from nearby parks or take a boat tour for a closer look. Quite crowded during peak hours, but definitely worth visiting if you’re in Antalya.

If you’re into a good walk, try walking from the center of Antalya to the Lower Düden Waterfalls. You’ll see a lot more of the city along the way, and the view at the end is beautiful! If you still have some energy left, you can continue to the sandy beach just behind it. I took the bus back and had a really nice day trip!

Absolutely stunning beauty 🤗 If you are thinking to choose upper or lower please choose this but again my personal opinion. Beautiful has a park around to walk with lots of local vendors plus photo spots, zip liners and restaurant etc… A bit too sunny now so take water and cap/hat to protect from the heat and oh don’t forget the sunscreen, bath in it to guard from the harmful rays but otherwise definitely worth spending 2 hours looking around. You can easily access this place using local transport or taxi fyi. Definitely must visit in Antalya 👍

Worthwhile to see, but it’s a pity we didn’t see the boat to go under the waterfall. If you plan to come by bus, better to visit Lara Beach together with Duden waterfall, because bus KL08 can go to these two places. I heard upper Duden is pretty and has a cave. But did’t manage to visit it.

Aspendos Theatre is absolutely stunning! The architecture and preservation of the theatre make it one of the most beautiful historical sites I’ve visited. You can really feel the history when standing inside—it’s amazing to imagine the performances that took place here centuries ago. That said, it is quite far from Antalya city, and getting here isn’t the easiest. Taxis are hard to find, especially for the return trip, so I’d recommend arranging transport in advance or coming with a tour group. Overall, a must-visit if you love history and ancient sites—just plan your transportation well!

One, if not THE, best preserved ancient roman theatre in the world. Funny enough, it was thanks to the Ottoman using part as a caravansarail. The acoustics are incredible. The level of details of the marble carving just let you wonder how magnificent it must have been when just completed and fully made of shiny marble.

22/12/2024 I visited the Aspendos Theatre, and it was a truly breathtaking experience. As I walked through the ancient ruins, I couldn't help but think of the iconic song 'Tu Jaane Na' from the Bollywood movie Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The theatre's stunning architecture and rich history transported me to a bygone era, and I felt a deep connection to the ancient culture of Aspendos. It was a truly unforgettable experience, and I felt grateful to have had the chance to witness the grandeur of this ancient wonder.

Ancient Aspendos......is located to the east of Antalya and is famous for its best-preserved ancient amphitheater built in the 2nd century AD during the reign of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius. The theater has a capacity of 15,000 people and is still used today for performances and festivals. Its galleries, stage decorations and acoustics all testify to its architect Xeno's success. Next to the stage there is a small room which is used as a small museum where you can see some of the masks and clay tickets from the ancient times. Just above the theater there is the acropolis with a great view of the river from the top, where you can see a basilica, an agora, a nymphaeum and and a bouleuterion (council), all of them in ruins. About one kilometer north of the town there is one of the largest Roman aqueducts in Anatolia which supplied Aspendos with water. The river passing next to the city is called Köprüçay (ancient Euromydon) and was navigable once upon a time. This was also the place where the Persians used to breed their horses between 6th-4th centuries B.C. during their rule in Asia Minor. According to the legend, Aspendos was first founded by Greek colonists who came to Pamphylia region after the Trojan War. There are also possibilities that the city could be founded by the Hittites. Aspendos was one of the cities in this region to mint silver coins under its own name. Together with their neighbors Perge, Aspendos was also left under the Persian rule between 6th and 5th centuries BC, then became a member of the Attic-Delos Maritime confederation after its liberation by the Athenians. But later in the 5th century BC Persians captured the city again and stayed there until the arrival of Alexander the Great in 333 BC. After the death of Alexander, the city was controlled by the Seleucids, and then the Kingdom of Pergamum until 133 B.C. when the Romans took over Pergamon.

An amazing theater in a great shapes after 2 millenia. It was constructed in Roman era in 1st century CE. There are still many marble seats. The acoustics are impressive. Go and sing out loudly. It is about an hour drive from Antalya.

While you can visit order parts of the ancient city of Aspendos (and I absolutely recommend that you do), the theatre is by far the most impressive part. Highly preserved (and modified) due to its continuous use, it has amazing acoustics.

Lol Greco-roman theater still used today while being restored. Spend 30-60 minutes exploring. There are huge segments of a viaduct standing nearby. 5-10 minutes drive from theatre.
