We had a lovely tour of the winery and production facilities by Phillipe this afternoon. This winery has a fabulous history and is now run by the fifth generation of one of the original families. Our tastings were paired with delicious food and the scenery from the dining terrace was amazing. You must come here and enjoy these fabulous wines, lovely food, generous vistas, and welcoming professionals.

An unforgettable experience – a true gem! We visited this winery yesterday and were absolutely blown away. The wines were exceptionally delicious — each glass told its own story, rich in flavor and clearly crafted with passion and expertise. We also had the pleasure of taking a guided tour, which was both informative and engaging, giving us a deeper appreciation of the winemaking process. The setting itself is stunning — sweeping views of the vineyards and surrounding landscape made it feel like we’d stepped into a postcard. Everything was thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. Highly recommend for wine lovers, romantics, and anyone wanting to enjoy authentic local excellence in a breathtaking environment. We would come back in a heartbeat!

A real gem of a find! Off the beaten track but located in the most gorgeous hills overlooking a stunning valley. A wonderfully warm welcome by Philippe who showed us around the winery, did a relaxed, yet thoroughly knowledgeable tasting for us and also treated us to some delicious local food. The wines were truly the region at its finest, with the Pecorino varieties being superb. This is a wonderful set up, incredibly hospitable and a must visit for the views and fantastic wines. We’ve marked this on our travel map and will definitely return!

This is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been to! It is the perfect place to rest the body and mind. Marta and the whole team were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home right from the start. The food - what can I say, it is what you hope for when you go for vacation in Italy! It was always exceptional and the unique scenery adds a lot to the experience. Already for breakfast, you will be amazed by fresh and all local ingredients, highlighting the beauty of the region’s cuisine. The concept of the place with its sustainability really shows and love for detail can be found wherever you look. The feeling of the place is hard to put into words, go and experience it yourself! It is truly a hidden gem and I cannot wait to come back to this place. Thanks a lot for this unforgettable stay!
Oliver P — Google review
From the view to the great service, this place has everything! We did a vine tasting for a very reasonable price and had a wonderful time. Not only the vine was extraordinary and the food delicious, but also our guide was very friendly and taught us a lot about the beverages and the history of the vinery. A lovely family business which we would definitely recommend visiting!!
Ayline — Google review
A wonderful summer at the resort of Tenuta Cocci Grifoni We spent 12 days at here this summer - we returned after a great experience last year. The place itself is so authentic, calm and beautiful. The staff is warm and wonderful, and for us that comes back it is great to see familiar faces. It is obvious that the family behind TCG has their mind set on hospitality – but also on sustainability and respect for the nature that surrounds the winery and resort. Food is made from local produce, so it is fresh and often simple in that fantastic italian way that tastes great. Some days you can join a winetasting dinner and get even more of an experience. We recommend doing that! We are a family of four, and our kids (7 and 10) love to be in the pool, they love the food and other than that we mainly play boardgames and read books. There is no need to go elsewhere - but a trip to the beach is easy if you bring your car (which you can charge at se resort, that has solarpanels). After a busy year this is all we need for a week or two, and I cannot imagine a better place for rest and family time than at the resort. The tranquility of the place is good for us – and the staff is always around if you need anything at all. The rooms are always clean and modern and everything just works. Every room has its own personality, a view and easy access the pools and dining area. TCG have our highest recommendations. Both for wine, hospitality and calm days in beautiful surroundings. We will see you again.

We had a very nice lunch with friends. The food was great, the view magnificent, the wines are top notch. My personal favorite was the Spumante. Low on carbonation with a wonderful flavor. We will be back since we bought an apartment very nearby. Thanks for the warm welcome and all the information about the wines and grapes. Are home away from home in the background, Ripatrasone

Museo del Merletto a tombolo

Museum
Specialty Museums
Located in the beautiful Palazzo Castellotti, Museo del Merletto a Tombolo is a must-visit attraction in Offida. The museum offers a unique experience where visitors can explore the art of lace-making and traditional clothing through its Bobbin Lace Museum. Additionally, the archaeological museum Zd Allevi showcases the rich history of the town and its territory.
(Translated by Google) The museum is located inside an enchanting and well-kept building, from whose windows you can admire a splendid panorama. Inside it houses goods and testimonies of the precious tradition of this small town, the art of lace; furthermore you can appreciate a small art gallery and an interesting archaeological collection. The staff is kind and attentive and, even though we were close to closing time, they welcomed us with courtesy and explained the route and the collections. My advice is to visit not only the museum but also the town, a true journey through time.

(Translated by Google) This museum is really beautiful and very interesting. It is located inside an old building with other museum sections. All the things contained, even partly donated, are works of art ... all the work and commitment to create them and pass everything down to the present day. From tablecloths, to doilies and clothes but also much more, it is possible to admire with great interest. There was also a temporary exhibition in a separate area. I really recommend the visit, to immerse yourself completely in this unique spectacle; to achieve this requires great mastery in knowing how to coordinate different things together, so that a beautiful masterpiece comes out. (Original) Questo museo è davvero bellissimo e molto interessante.

(Translated by Google) And I'd say not just by looking at the title. The museums, as they're inside the already beautiful and historic building, are actually three. There's a museum of archaeological finds from the area, as well as a museum of folk traditions and one dedicated to bobbin lace. The whole thing is divided into floors and is very interesting. It's located in the historic center and along the main street. I recommend buying a combined ticket to save money and see the church of Santa Maria della Rocca as well as the museum complex.

Church
Churches & Cathedrals
The Chiesa di Santa Maria della Rocca is a significant landmark in Offida, dating back to the 14th century and situated atop a hill that offers stunning views of the Picena valley. The medieval structure appears to emerge from the rock itself, creating an impressive sight. The church has a rich history, having been built on top of a Longobard's castle and later coming under the control of the abbey of Farfa.
Beautiful church! Built on top of a Longobard's castle whose Lord had only two male sons. They both decided to become Dominican monks therefore the place was given to the rule of the abbey of Farfa (a near by town) and a new church was built in the 14th century. After a rebellion of the local people against the Dominican rule the land went under the control of a close by archibishop. The church fell into abandonment for some years, the tower bell fell onto then roof due to seismic events against which the region is still struggling. Nevertheless, some beautiful paintings (once they fully cover all walls and ceilings) are still preserved and the building has some ancient magic aurea.

Cobà Beach Restaurant

$$$$affordable
Seafood restaurant
Experiencing the Italian summer at Cobà Beach Restaurant in Italy is a delightful treat. This seafood eatery offers a serene ambiance by the Adriatic waters, perfect for an early evening in a cabana. Reservations are strongly recommended to enjoy their impressive chalet service. The attentive staff serves delectable seafood dishes accompanied by bread infused with rosemary and another plate of olive and tomato-topped bread.
Coba Beach Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience centered around fresh and succulent fish dishes. Their menu pays homage to the ocean's bountiful offerings, featuring a variety of fish options prepared with culinary finesse. We started our meal with their signature mixed fried fish, followed by pasta and spaghetti dishes infused with the flavors of the sea. Finally, we enjoyed grilled fish served with a medley of vegetables. Our dining experience at Coba Beach was exceptional and made our date truly memorable.
Srikanth T — Google review
Being back home in Italy means savoring the Italian summer! It may not be summer yet but at Coba Beach in a cabana early evening watching the water on the Adriatic is bliss. Coba is my favorite seafood restaurant- always for evening dinner- never had the beach service before! Book early if you want to enjoy chalet service. The wonderful staff brought seafood and bread topped with rosemary and another small plate of olive and tomato topped bread. Le Marche makes the best wine in the world- I’m happily biased. I’m sharing pictures from the beach. I’ll post more from dinner later!

I have been visiting this restaurant for eight years. The sea food is some of the best I have ever tasted, the staff and service is first class and the wine list is extensive. Prices are very reasonable and the restaurant is open all year round. I always enjoy eating there.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend, and we were not disappointed. On the opposite! We had a perfect lunch here, on the seaside. The atmosphere was unique. You can say that the fish is really fresh, from the amazing taste of every dish. We literally fell in love with the Antipasti, in particular the cold ones. Also the Grilled fish (grigliata) was spectacular. The personnel is super kind and we brought home a nice mood and lot of smiles. Highly recommended!

We booked a table for 4 in advance, when we arrived they had set a table for two instead. I asked the waitress a question and she was rude. There was no service to speak of, after we were seated (standing around waiting for a table for 4) we waited a long time we were not given menus. It looked like a nice place, but we left, so no food to review! We felt It was pretentious

Historic Sites
The Roman Cisterns in Fermo are an incredible architectural marvel dating back to around 40 AD. This historical relic covers an expansive area of 2,200 square meters and consists of thirty interconnected rooms used for collecting and distributing rainwater. Situated beneath various parts of the city, these cisterns showcase exceptional preservation and represent a remarkable example of ancient Roman hydraulic engineering. A visit to these impressive structures is a must for any tourist exploring Fermo's historic center.
It's just a part of Roman empire history left in the middle of the city, I was shocked how intelligent was people in that period, a must see place to visit. There is a guide as well, but she was talking only Italian, I'm not sure if they have a English guide. Anyway it's a really cool place but inside is cold so take a hoodie with you when you wanna go there.

Fascinating roman cisterns, simple but clear multi lingual guide informatio, open Sat and Sunday mornings and late afternoons, or Fridays by reservation only. Well worth the 4E admission.
Annabelle D — Google review
We visited the "cisterne romane", the palazzo Priori, the library and last but not least an art exhibition. (All this in Fermo) The Marche region has a lot to offer even if unknown to the most. Most of all it helped us continue believing that for every bad day many good ones are yet to come.
Julie L — Google review
This a relatively little known Roman underground archeological site. But it is a MUST visit. Built by the ancient romans, the cisterns were built to collect rainwater. The ticket costs €4, worth every penny. You can visit other sites/museums in Fermo with a single ticket that includes the cisterns. The other museums are also worth visiting.
Roberto M — Google review
Absolutely amazing. You need to book and pay the tour online. The tour is in italian, foreigners get printed info. The guide almost skipped one part, so read well. There is 15°C and the tour is 30 minutes long.

Piazza del Popolo, established in 1442 at the center of Fermo, is a remarkable and well-preserved area that showcases the town's architectural elegance. It boasts a visually pleasing and structurally precise environment, where significant buildings seamlessly blend into its surroundings. One such structure is the Loggiato di San Rocco (Gallery of St. Rocco), constructed in 1528 and situated opposite the Church of San Rocco from 1505 onwards.
It is a small but beautiful historical plaza with the church of San Francis, the Palazzo dei Capitani, and several restaurants and shops all around. Several activities are happening year-round, even in the winter until late at night.

Nice square with lovely architecture all around the piazza. At 11am all the shops were closed except for one cafe then by noon some shops started opening up. The council house is worth a tour, but do NOT miss the magnificent Roman underground cistern. Tickets from the tourist office at the bottom corner of the piazza.

A lovely place to visit and it gets busy at the weekends. Only thing I would say has something against it is. Be careful where you stop for a drink as soon as the waiting staff hear you speak English the prices go up. Other than that a great place to visit and the sight seeing is 5* too.

Very interesting city! You need at least 5 hours to view the most interesting places. Take an ice cream or a coffee (Italian). Very impressive city just from the highway A14 (13 km). Also enjoy a break in one of the many AirBnb places to enjoy the great views. I had one 6 km from Fermo. It is if you are in a concert of crickets.

Nice little plaza on top of the hill in the historical center of Fermo surrounded by historical buildings. There are quite many restaurants and cafes. Parking possibilities abound but can be scarce to find if you happen to visit the place during some festivities as the local police tend to close the main access streets to the plaza. The public toilets cannot be recommended (uninviting, not clean). No wonder they were empty during yesterday's local evening market despite the center being crowded.

Sferisterio di Macerata is an enchanting open-air opera house that can accommodate up to 3,000 spectators. It is known for its grandeur and impressive Italian Baroque architecture. The arena, a 200-year-old building in the neo-classical style, resembles a Roman arena and hosts a popular opera festival each summer. Its acoustics are highly reputed, making it a fantastic venue for shows.
A very beautiful, impressive place for musical performances. The open-air theater is not particularly large, but offers a great backdrop. From all seats you have a good view of the stage and relatively direct contact with the artists

Attending a performance at the Sferisterio during the Macerata Opera Festival is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The unique open-air arena, with its impressive architecture and incredible acoustics, provides the perfect setting for world-class opera. The atmosphere is electric, and the blend of history, culture, and artistic excellence is unparalleled. The festival is beautifully organized, with a great variety of performances that cater to both opera enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The staff is welcoming, and the entire city of Macerata comes alive with the spirit of the festival. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you're part of something very special. I can't recommend this enough—whether you're an opera aficionado or just looking for a memorable cultural experience, the Sferisterio and the Macerata Opera Festival should be at the top of your list. Bravo to everyone involved!

We didn't experience an opera or concert. We visited it outside the opera season, so you can only see the interior. We expected to see more: backstage, balcony, loges, .... Still nice to visit because it's a great building. But experiencing an opera or concert must be breath taking. If you believe this review is useful, then please 'like' it.

Fantastic old historic opera house in Macerata. We saw Carmen here last night and it was a serious treat. We were in box 35 and had a lovely view of the stage, sets and production. The opera house is magnificent. It has its quirks but still offers a wonderful time. The production was high quality and immensely entertaining. The air was warm and balmy. The town is lovely. Hard to fault a thing!
Two S — Google review
Amazing place for shows. Great acoustics, comfortable seats and beautiful lighting and decor.
Reuma N — Google review
Visited the building (no concert). For six euros you just get to see the inside of the arena, and a flashy edited movie which doesn't provide any in-depth info and history. In my opinion a big rip-off, this should be free like visiting a park. It's probably much nicer when there's a concert. Would've been nice to get on the roof for panoramic view.
Tom C — Google review

Nestled in the heart of Loreto, the Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto, or Basilica della Santa Casa, stands as a beacon for pilgrims and visitors alike. This revered site is steeped in tradition, believed to be the very home where the Virgin Mary lived and was raised. According to legend, angels transported this sacred house from Palestine to Italy on December 10th, 1294.
Beautiful basilica perched high on a hill. The importance is profound as it is the home of the birthplace of Mary, brought here by the crusaders. The reverence with which visitors enter the chambers is amazing. What a wonderful place to visit, and quite serendipitous on our part as it was an unplanned stop. Definitely worth seeing.
Gary G — Google review
Ever wonder what happened to the house of the Virgin Mary Mother of Jesus? The house without the foundation was believed to have been brought by the angels in Loreto Italy in the middle of the road. The foundation of the house is in Israel though. The house is now housed inside a beautiful church in Loreto, Italy. We drove there from. Rome and took us about 3 and a half hours. See the church at night or might as well attend a mass at night and during the day. The place is beautiful and quiet. Parking during our visit was challenging. Make sure you have Euros in cash/coins to pay for parking. When we were there, it won't take credit and one miraculous moment, someone gave us coins to pay for parking! An angel sent by Jesus or Mama Mary! Praise God! You cannot take pictures i side Mother Mary's house. But once inside, you can see even some of Jesus scribbles on the wall 😀
Anne C — Google review
Visiting the Madonna’s House in Loreto was a deeply moving and spiritual experience. This sacred place, known as the Holy House, is believed to be where the Virgin Mary lived and received the Angel Gabriel’s announcement. The story of how this humble home was miraculously transported from Nazareth to Loreto in the 13th century adds a sense of wonder and faith to the site. Inside the beautiful basilica that protects it, I felt a profound peace and connection to centuries of devotion.

Deeply religious experience. The crusaders moved Mary's house (the part that was built outside of the grotto) to Loreto, Italy. It's amazing.

Beautiful square with the 1614 fountain and the basilica which houses what is believed to be the house of Saint Mary, mother of Jesus, in Nazareth. Masses are held several times a day; a good time for a tourist visit might be between 12:30 and 5:00 PM. Parking lots outside the walls are charged from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm € 1.40/hour € 10 all day, a short distance away there are also large parking lots both free and charged. Toilets € 0.50 at the small gardens behind the square. If you limit yourself to this and to walking along the main street with the businesses, the visit can take an hour and a half. There is also more to see and the visit can take up the whole day. The Museo Pontificio Della Santa Casa € 8 and the patrol walkways € 5 these only with guided tour ( 5 per day the first at 10) their cumulative ticket € 10. "Porta della Marina" from 1534, near has the panoramic terrace, the small park of remembrance, the“holy staircase” of 400 steps and the Polish war cemetery. Free admission for the permanent mechanical nativity scene 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2:30-7:30 p.m. and the small air force museum from July to September daily 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., an airplane of the “Frecce Tricolori,” is exhibited outside the “round tower” . The Roman Gate of 1590, near the civic tower of the 17th, and of course you can also walk all the way around the defensive walls. According to tradition, in 1291, angels transported three walls of Our Lady's house from the cave in Nazareth, to which it was connected by the fourth wall, to the town of Rijeka in Croatia. They then moved it to the vicinity of Ancona. After 9 months, another transfer took place, this time to Porto Recanati on the property of a noblewoman named “Loreta”. After her name, the statue on display in the house was called “Madonna di Loreta” or “Vergine Lauretana”, but it burned down in a fire in 1921 and the statue on display today is a copy from 1922. Again the angels, after 8 months, moved the house to another private property, but in 1294 they lifted it into the air again, finally depositing it on the top of a hill, and the shrine and city of Loreto was founded around it. According to another, more historical version, it was the Crusaders, nearing defeat in the Last Crusade, who dismantled the house. The transport to Italy from Palestine was carried out by the "Angeli" family, a real Italian surname, and over the years this gave rise to a misunderstanding that confused them with heavenly angels. Having become a pilgrimage destination in 1468, work began on the construction of the basilica. In the 16th century Donato Bramante created the fine marble facing that covers the outer walls of the “Holy House". The city's mighty city walls were built between 1518 and 1522 to resist possible attacks by the Turks who landed on the coasts plundering the villages, an earlier wall from 1315 defended pilgrims and their donations from bandits. The basilica''s exterior was completed in 1587 while work on the interior decorations ended a few years later.

The Arch of Trajan erected in 115dc in honor of Emperor Trajan. The site is accessible after a short walk from Ancona’s old citadel. It’s in good condition and you can walk in the old wall to have a look at the shipyard and the port

Well, it has a nice view on the both side, as at one side there is a shipyard. And on the other hand it has the city itself and the port. I have been here both time point of afternoon and in the night and trust me the night is just amazing, plus don’t forget to look at the lighthouse over the Ancona city. Well not putting a lot of pics so you go there and Enjoy the view yourself. Well good luck. Do vist this place in Night.

Amazing hidden art treasure in the heart of the Marche region. The gallery is a rococo masterpiece and the civic gallery inside the building hosts important works by renaissance artist Lorenzo Lotto, and reliefs, sculptures and paintings from late XIV to XVIII century. Worth it!!!

Molto simpatica la visita guidata con la presenza delle dame ottocentesche! Ottima idea anche per i turisti di passaggio, mentre per i locali é un modo nuovo e diverso per.proporre il Palazzo Tesei Pianetti. Parco Zoo Falconara Srl is a hillside zoo with a breeding program for endangered cheetahs and okapi. It offers a wide range of animals including lions, tigers, cougars, grey wolves, hippos, gibbons, and giraffes. The zoo features picnic spots and a restaurant where visitors can enjoy meals. Children can have fun at the playgrounds scattered throughout the park while families can take leisurely strolls along shady trails.
It is not big but well build. Animal areas are having views from multiple sides so you will see majority of them even when hiding. Majority of zoo is under the trees in shadows. So it is ok to visit it even in warm days. Good for kids. Animal cards are in Italian and English. Price reasonable. Restaurant next to it is ok.

two travellers on the road were missing some animal company, so we ended up in Falconara Zoo! we purposefully went on a Monday, and the blissfully quiet atmosphere was amazing… with some animal noises🐒 the park is well maintained and the animals are looked after, we watched caretakers feeding them. great program for a few hours on a sunny day🌞

A nice stroll for the whole family surrounded by animals from all over the world. The winding trails are shady and the position allows a soft breeze through the trees. Perhaps the sloped terrain is not best for buggies. Also, some cages are very small but I guess there could be a reason to it. All in all the place is very clean and cosy with kind smiling staff. Worth the price

Amazing place where your children can spend the day playing around while watching quite a wide range of animals. Lions, tigers, cheetahs, cougar, grey wolves, hippo, gibbons and giraffes among the favs. There’s a couple of little playgrounds dispersed in the zoo plus a few slides and peeping tubes to entertain children here and there. The whole place is very clean and well maintained also featuring a snack bar and a self-service restaurant near the entrance. My child loved it!
