Hot Springs & Geysers
Hot Water Spring, located on the way to Kheerganga, offers a picturesque environment and is popular for its bathing and therapeutic benefits. The springs provide a refreshing break and scenic spots for photography. Another hot water spring at Manikarnika, 45km from Kullu, can be reached by bus or taxi. Situated near the Parvati river bank, these springs emerge along the river over a distance of about 1.3 kms.
After boiling the water, it is poured into the river, which can add some heat during the cold weather in Kasol .

This hot water bathing zone is situated right before Naina bhagwati Mata and is in a covered campus with separate bathing zones for men & women.

It is Famous place to visit the Shiva temple and Hot spring along with Gurudwara Sahib. A Nice place to enjoy some time along with Boiling natural hot water.
Aditya J — Google review
This was my first experience with a hot spring and I was pleasantly surprised. It covered a bigger area than what I expected and the water was optimally hot for a bath. One thing about this spring is that the place seems to be neglected and the lighting is downright poor. I would suggest paying a visit to this place during the morning or the afternoon as you will not have to deal with the darkness. Totally worth checking out as there isn't a lot of hot springs in India.
Balasubramanian G — Google review
Beautiful place with nice scenery. Mountains all around and the hot water spring is just amazing. Nature is so wonderful that between the chilling snow and super cold weather, you will see boiling hot water coming out of nowhere. Awesome place to visit if you are planning for a trip to Himachal Pradesh.
Ashutosh K — Google review
A beautiful place... Lots of stories to explain the hot water spring! One would be awe of the place once you reach there! Yes it is a tiresome drive but once you reach there you'll forget all about it! It is extremely cold there Visited during the month of March and I was trembling. Make sure you keep yourself warm!

🌄✨ Divine Serenity at Gurudwara Sahib Manikaran ✨🌄 Visiting Gurudwara Sahib in Manikaran was a soul-touching experience that words can barely capture. Nestled amidst the majestic Parvati Valley, this sacred place radiates peace and spiritual energy like no other. The sound of the flowing river beside the Gurudwara, the chants echoing in the air, and the welcoming aura of seva (selfless service) makes you feel instantly connected and grounded. The hot springs here are not just a natural wonder but also a symbol of faith—used to cook the langar (community meal), which is offered with so much love and humility. 🙏🍛 Whether you’re a spiritual seeker or simply exploring the beauty of Himachal, this place leaves a lasting impact. The calmness, the divine energy, and the scenic beauty all come together to create an experience that’s both humbling and uplifting. 🧡 Highly recommended—not just for the religious significance, but for the powerful sense of peace it brings. Gurudwara Sahib Manikaran is a peaceful and spiritually uplifting place. The langar, hot springs, and serene mountain surroundings make it a must-visit in Kasol. A truly calming experience for anyone traveling to Himachal Pradesh.
Nitish D — Google review
During our trip to Manikaran in Himachal Pradesh, we had a truly unforgettable experience surrounded by natural beauty and spiritual serenity. The highlight of our visit was the famous Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara, where we were warmly welcomed and served delicious free food, known as Prasad, in the community kitchen (langar). It was heartwarming to see people from all walks of life sitting together and sharing a meal in such a peaceful environment. Just beside the Gurudwara, we marveled at the natural hot springs that are believed to have healing properties. The steam rising from the springs in the cool mountain air created a magical atmosphere. Watching people cook rice and lentils in the hot spring water was both fascinating and unique. The entire experience combined spiritual peace, natural wonder, and human kindness in a way that left a lasting impression on all of us.

It's a sacred spot for both Sikhs and Hindus, with a peaceful Gurudwara and an ancient Shiv Mandir located side by side. One of the unique features here is the natural hot water springs and even a hot cave, which adds to the mystical charm of this place. The spiritual vibe, the free langar (community meal), and the serene surroundings make it a must-visit destination in Manikaran. Whether you're on a religious journey or just exploring Himachal, don’t miss this sacred and soulful experience.

It was a one-of-a-kind experience, especially in the snow. We trekked alone through the snowy landscape and even witnessed live snowfall. The next morning, the view was absolutely breathtaking. However, it was so cold that taking photos was a real challenge.

Very offbeat place with very less crowd. Religious place, temple of Rishi Parashar. The views are amazing but you can feel difficult to breathe here, so don’t push yourself alot. Lovely journey.

Pics are from 2019. One serene place to visit. Can be reached both by trekking and by bus. They say the water of the lake is holy. • Floating Island Phenomenon At its center floats a small island of vegetation that shifts position over time-covering roughly 7 % of the lake's surface, with the remaining 93 % water Local lore frames it as a "microcosm of Earth" and says its motion foretells natural events • Spiritual Significance A three-storied pagoda-style temple stands on the shore, dedicated to Rishi Parashara. Built in the 13th-14th century by King Ban Sen of Mandi, it was reportedly carved from a single deodar tree and decorated with fine woodwork. The site sees major festivals like Rishi Panchami, Sauranahulia, and other fairs that draw pilgrims from across neighboring valleys. . Legendary Origin According to myth, after the Kurukshetra War, Bhima-one of the Pandavas-struck a mountain with his elbow to create a depression in which the lake formed for Lord Kamrunag, who wanted to stay there forever.

Bijli Mahadev🕉️ is truly a divine and unforgettable experience! The panoramic views from the top are absolutely breathtaking — you can see the confluence of Beas and Parvati rivers and endless layers of mountains. The trek is moderate and well worth the effort, surrounded by pine trees and fresh mountain air. The temple🛕 itself holds an incredible spiritual energy, and the legend behind the lightning strike and the Shiva Lingam is fascinating. It’s a peaceful, soul-refreshing place — perfect for both nature lovers and spiritual seekers. Highly recommend visiting early morning or around sunset for the most magical vibes. Don’t miss this gem when you're in Himachal!❤️
Naveen R — Google review
The temple is about 4 km uphill trek from the car parking. It is a moderately tough trekk. The route is well laid with stairs and has a good cover of forest trees. Temple is very beautiful, and the scenery around the temple, especially behind the temple, is something that should not be missed at all. The temple was not very crowded when we visited.
Mohit A — Google review
The journey itself is beautiful, winding through small villages and forests. The final climb is a bit steep, but the reward at the top is absolutely priceless. The most magical time to visit is during the monsoon or just a day after it has rained. We went after a rainfall, and the sky was crystal clear. The view of Bhuntar town and the Parvati River valley below was incredibly sharp and breathtaking. It felt like we were on top of the world! Another great thing is the road connectivity. The road leading to the trek's starting point is well-connected to the main NH3 highway, making it very easy to reach by car or taxi. We also noticed many charming homestays in the surrounding villages, offering a comfortable and authentic stay for trekkers. This place is perfect for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful yet adventurous getaway. Highly recommended for a unique experience

Bijli Mahadev Temple, nestled in the Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh, is renowned for its unique legend and stunning location. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is said to be struck by lightning annually, a phenomenon that gives it the name "Bijli" (lightning) Mahadev. The temple, built in traditional Pahari style, sits atop a hill, offering breathtaking views and a challenging trek for devotees. The temple's namesake legend involves the Shiva Linga within being shattered by lightning and then miraculously restored by the temple priest using a paste of butter and sattoo. This annual event is a central part of the temple's identity and draws pilgrims and tourists alike. The trek to Bijli Mahadev is a scenic one, passing through lush forests and offering glimpses of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The temple's architecture reflects the traditional Pahari style, with intricate wood carvings and a 60-foot long wooden staff believed to attract lightning. The combination of natural beauty, spiritual significance, and architectural charm makes Bijli Mahadev a must-visit destination in the Kullu region. Bijli Mahadev Temple | Incredible India Lightning tales and divine intervention. Legend has it that the Shiva Linga enshrined in the temple was shattered into pieces by a lightning bolt. Must visit in April. Har Har Mahadev

Must visit Lord shiva temple if you are in or around Kullu-Manali. It is believed that lightning (bijli) strikes the lingam and then it is restored using local butter making it unique and powerful. To reach here, you have 3 routes - 1. Main one via Kullu & Chansari - I took this one on my scooter which includes 21 kms ride from Kullu till the trekking point near Gobha village. Bus drops you near Dharth village. Trekking is around 1.5-2 kms which took me an hour. 2. Via Jana - it is risky and steep but I heard that you can directly reach the top on your vehicle. Was inaccessible at my time. 3. Via Kasol side - Long & dangerous. Locals suggested not to go from that. Google map shows that one only. All the three sides - Kullu, Bhuntar and Kasol are visible from the top. I didn’t find any stay facilities there but you have food and washrooms. Weather was very unpredictable so I rushed back asap. Locals are very helpful and kind. P.S - The ropeway work is ongoing and locals are protesting against it citing the deforestation and environmental damage. Date of Visit - 26th March 2025

Nestled in the serene village of Jana Gaon, about 32 km from Manali, Jana Waterfall is a hidden gem surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The backdrop of snow-capped mountains and lush greenery makes it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and photographers. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque views of the waterfall, set amidst pine forests and apple orchards.
It truly is. A little gem high up on the mountain with clear water crisp air gorgeous trees amazing birds and a stunning view to be blown away.. it’s easier to take a car and go, do climb up.. wear comfortable walking shoes as the view up is lovely.. don’t forget to buy some shawls from the ladies stalls near the waterfall and definitely eat at the himachali dhaba down it’s manned by a Bengali family but the cuisine is himachali that’s our national integration at its best.. take the Thai as they serve a lot I’d things in it and it’s quite economical..

What it lacks in size, it makes up in beauty, ambience and liveliness. The waterfall is accessible, the water is sparkling and cold, and local hospitality adds its own charm. Best appreciated before the peak season crowds jam the place.
Subrata R — Google review
All in all - its just a theek thaak waterfall. JANA on the other hand is a bful place to stay Waterfall starts when one starts moving uphill from naggar. Water trail can be seen at many places, but this is the best of them. It is located 15 mins from Jana village - 15 mins when you ride continuously. In season, one should park vehicle before and walk to the waterfall for lot of tourists may cause jam. The road from Naggar is good only in patches, and its not a very wide road. By the time one reaches waterfall, there is no sign of pucca road. - i guess the work is currently in progress. if one continues to go uphill, one will reach Bijli Mahadev Temple
Robin S — Google review
I went in June mid, there wasn’t much water flowing in the water fall. The road with pine trees is amazing. Waterfall itself wasn’t that good but the journey was great. The road is problematic towards the end so take care.
Kulvinder S — Google review
Peaceful Spot but Not Worth the Tough & Far Journey Jana Waterfall, nestled in the quiet village of Jana Gaon near Kullu, offers a serene and refreshing setting. The small stream that gently winds through the rocks and falls over a short distance is indeed beautiful, with its soothing sound and natural charm. The simplicity and natural beauty of the place are quite pleasing, especially if you're already in the area. However, the journey from Manali is long and the road conditions are quite poor. Considering the size and scale of the waterfall, it may not justify the effort and time it takes to get there unless you're combining the visit with nearby attractions or are keen to explore remote village life. A good stop for those seeking peace and a rustic Himachali lunch nearby, but manage your expectations if you're heading out solely for the waterfall.

Peaceful Beauty at Jana Waterfall – A Hidden Gem in Kullu-Manali Jana Waterfall is a serene and refreshing spot nestled in the hills near Kullu-Manali. The journey to the waterfall is scenic, surrounded by lush greenery, apple orchards, and charming mountain views. It's a perfect escape from the crowded tourist areas. The waterfall itself may not be very huge, but the natural beauty and calm atmosphere make it totally worth visiting. You can also enjoy delicious Himachali food (like siddu and rajma chawal) at the local dhabas nearby — simple but authentic! It's an amazing place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the local vibe. Best visited during monsoon or early morning hours for the freshest view. Highly recommended if you love peaceful nature and offbeat locations. Would love to visit again!

Beautiful and very peaceful place to visit in this area. This Lake is very beautiful with fishes 🐠 and Ducks 🦆. It may become more beautiful if bushes at surroundings of the lake were removed.

Rewalsar Lake is calm, beautiful, and a great place to just sit, chill, and stare into the distance like you’re solving the mysteries of life. The view is lovely, the breeze is nice… but let’s be honest — there’s not a whole lot to “do” here. And before you get any bright ideas — don’t feed the fish. Unless you’re carrying ₹5000 just for the fine. The fish look hungry, but the rules are stricter than school exams. There are some snack stalls nearby and a few places to try Tibetan food, which is actually pretty good and worth a bite. Overall: Great place to relax, click some peaceful pics, and enjoy the lake view — just don’t expect too much action. Come here when your soul needs a break, not when you’re craving an itinerary.

It is located around 18-20 kms away from Ner Chowk. The road to reach there is narrow, and being widened at the very end. The whole town is located around the Lake. The lake is sacred amongst Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists. There’s a monastery, a Shiva temple and a Gurudwara around the lake. The lake is beautiful and it has lot of fish inside it. The garden needs a bit of maintenance and cleaning. There’s a car parking inside the lake premises.

Lake Rewalsar, also known as Tso Pema, is a significant pilgrimage site in the Buddhist tradition. It was one of the highlights on our two-week road trip. The lake holds deep spiritual meaning, with unique stories and beliefs in both Buddhist and local traditions—each version equally fascinating.

Visited Van Vihar in Manali during our trip, and it was truly a refreshing experience! 🌲✨ The place is surrounded by tall deodar trees, peaceful walking paths, and the beauty of nature all around. It’s the perfect spot to relax, click some amazing photos, and enjoy the calm vibe away from city noise. The natural scenery is absolutely stunning — a paradise for nature lovers and photographers! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Manali. Don't miss it
Vishal B — Google review
If you want to spend around 2 hours, then it’s a good spot. There are plenty of deodar trees inside, which add to the charm. However, the pond with the boating facility was quite disappointing—it was very small and not well-maintained.
Mokhtar Z — Google review
Located in the heart of the mall road, Van Vihar is a municipality run public garden. It is famous far and wide for its Deodar trees and a manmade lake, built right in the middle of the forest. Overall this place is just ok. There is a provision for boating in a very small pool. There are not much animals available to see here. I have heard from the locals that couple of years back there was a river flowing from this place, but later separated by the government to build some Road. Dipawali finished the real charm of this place. However one time visit is more than enough.
Gourab — Google review
In May 2024, I had the opportunity to visit Van Vihar National Park during my Manali tour. This park is located right in the heart of the town, yet it feels like a peaceful green world of its own. As I entered, I was welcomed by tall deodar and pine trees that formed a natural canopy, giving cool shade even during the summer sun. The walking paths were soft with fallen leaves, and I could hear birds chirping from all directions. It was a real treat for nature lovers like me. I spent time observing the calm and beauty of the forest. I saw Himalayan magpies, bulbuls, and sparrows flying between trees, and heard their pleasant calls. I also noticed small creatures like squirrels jumping from branch to branch, and some monkeys near the lake area. One of the most peaceful spots was the small man-made lake inside the park. The still water reflected the surrounding trees, and I sat quietly on a bench, just enjoying the silence and cool breeze. Boating is also available there, and many tourists were enjoying it with families. The overall experience was very relaxing and close to nature. I felt completely refreshed and connected to the peaceful environment. Van Vihar is a must-visit spot in Manali for anyone who enjoys calm surroundings, greenery, and a little wildlife experience right in the middle of town.

Beautiful nature walk near the chaos of Mall Road, Manali. I entered via gate number 1. Entry ticket is 50 INR for adults and 20 INR for children. Timings are 9 AM to 8 PM (Summers), 9 AM to 5 PM (Winters) I had got clicked at just 100 INR for 4 pictures and pictures were amazing. Do give the photographers a chance to click you, it is up to you to take it but their livelihood depends on it. There is a boating area also downstairs, children park and few places to seat and chill.
Kunal G — Google review
Van Vihar National Park A great place to unwind after shopping on Mall Road. The park has a nice play area with a trampoline for kids, and boating is also available for a fun, relaxing experience. We visited in May and enjoyed the cool, refreshing atmosphere—even during the summer heat. Entry is reasonably priced at ₹50 for adults and ₹20 for children under 8 years. Overall, a peaceful spot perfect for families and nature lovers.

Hadimba Devi Temple is a 16th-century Hindu shrine located in the cedar forest of Old Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Built by Maharaja Bahadur Singh, this wooden temple features intricate carvings and follows a distinct Buddhist pagoda-style architecture. The temple is dedicated to Hadimba, the wife of Pandava Prince Bhima from the Indian epic Mahabharata.
Hidimba Devi Temple, also called Dhungri Temple, was built in 1553 by Maharaja Bahadur Singh and is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, wife of Bhima from the Mahabharata. The temple is made of wood and stone in traditional Himachali architecture, surrounded by cedar forests. It has a unique pagoda-style roof with intricate carvings and no idol of Hidimba—only a footprint on a rock believed to be hers. It’s both a religious site and a major tourist attraction.
Dudu77 — Google review
Hadimba Devi Temple in Manali is one of the most peaceful and iconic spots in Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by tall cedar (deodar) forests, this 16th-century wooden temple dedicated to Goddess Hadimba — wife of Bhima from the Mahabharata — beautifully blends spirituality with nature. The temple’s unique architecture, with its four-tiered pagoda-style roof and intricately carved wooden doorway, stands out from anything else in the region. The atmosphere is serene and filled with a sense of divine calm, especially in the early morning or evening hours. However, the area can get quite crowded during peak tourist seasons, and the nearby stalls make it feel a bit commercialized — but the charm of the temple and its forest setting easily outshine that. 📍 Location: Old Manali, Himachal Pradesh 🕒 Timings: 8 AM – 6 PM (Open daily) 💡 Tip: Visit early in the morning for quiet surroundings and great photos among the pine woods. A must-visit heritage and spiritual site that captures the essence of old Manali’s beauty and devotion. 🌲🙏

Hadimba Devi Temple, also known as Dhungari Temple, was built in 1553 by Maharaja Bahadur Singh and is dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, the wife of Bhima from the Mahabharata. Nestled in a cedar forest called Dhungiri Van Vihar, the temple is built over a large rock believed to be the deity’s sanctum and showcases stunning pagoda-style Himachali architecture. While the temple’s interiors radiate spiritual calm, photography is strictly prohibited inside, preserving its sanctity. Just outside, the area buzzes with vibrant local life—there’s a serene park perfect for a stroll, and the nearby Khadolkaja Temple adds to the spiritual circuit. For content creators and families alike, the surroundings offer fun and photogenic experiences: you can pose with adorable lambs and rabbits, or dress up in traditional Manali attire for a small fee and capture the essence of Himachali culture. The temple vicinity is also a hotspot for street food lovers, with stalls serving momos, Maggi, and local snacks that make for a flavorful break. Whether you're here for devotion, photography, or cultural immersion, Hadimba Devi Temple and its surroundings offer a rich, multi-sensory experience.

Hidimba Devi Temple is one of the coolest spots to check out in Manali. The temple itself is made of wood and looks really unique compared to the usual temples you see. It’s surrounded by tall cedar trees, which makes the whole place feel calm and refreshing. The vibe is peaceful, and you can easily spend some time just walking around, clicking pictures, and soaking in the natural beauty. It’s not just about the temple — the area around it is lively too, with small shops selling snacks, souvenirs, and local stuff. The atmosphere feels very tourist-friendly, and it’s a nice mix of culture and nature. If you’re in Manali, this is definitely a must-visit spot to experience something different and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Hidimba Devi Temple is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places to visit in Manali. The temple is surrounded by tall deodar trees, which make the whole area feel calm and refreshing. The wooden structure of the temple is very attractive, with nice carvings and a unique pagoda-style roof. It looks different from most temples in India, and that makes it very special. The atmosphere around the temple is quiet and relaxing. Even if there are many visitors, you can still enjoy the natural beauty and peaceful environment. The place is clean, and the fresh mountain air adds to the experience. The path leading to the temple is also very scenic, making the walk enjoyable. There are small shops around the temple where people sell local Himachali clothes, handicrafts, and snacks. You can also take photos in traditional dress, which is a fun experience for tourists. The surrounding forest area is perfect for clicking pictures or spending some peaceful time with family and friends. Overall, Hidimba Devi Temple is a must-visit place if you are in Manali. It offers natural beauty, a calm atmosphere, and a unique style of architecture. I highly recommend visiting this lovely spot. Must visit the place

This is a place you shouldn't miss when visiting Manali. This is a religious place along with a hot water spring bath that has separate bathing facilities for men and women. We can do puja here as well and the architecture of the temple looks very nice. However, I need to mention that the place is unclean and no toilets are present nearby. The toilets are far away and dirty, also a place for bathing is not very isolated.

Holy place to have bath in the Kund. For ladies separate Kund available for bath, according to Hindu religion everyone shud take bath, who can reach over here. In this place Maharishi vashisht temple is situated. The road is too narrow for crossing two cars. Paid parking available here. Lot of shops available for food and shopping. Wooden Name plates you can buy on very cheap rates.

Solang Nala, a popular winter ski resort nestled in a picturesque mountain valley with an elevation of 8400 ft, offers breathtaking natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as skiing and sightseeing. However, the area can get crowded, affecting the overall experience. Despite this, it remains a great place for first-time snow experiences and exploring snowy landscapes. The scenic beauty includes stunning mountains, water streams, and occasional snowfall.
Review of Solang Valley: An Adventure Lover’s Paradise Solang Valley, located just a short drive from Manali, is a breathtaking destination that offers a wide range of activities for all types of travelers, especially adventure enthusiasts. I recently visited the valley, and it left a lasting impression on me with its stunning beauty and the variety of thrilling activities on offer. Summer Activities: During the summer months, Solang Valley transforms into an adventure playground. Here’s a glimpse of some of the activities that you can enjoy: 1. Paragliding: Soaring through the skies with a bird’s eye view of the lush valley below was an unforgettable experience. There are options for both short and high-fly flights. I opted for the high-fly, and it was worth every penny. It gives you a panoramic view of the entire valley and surrounding mountains. 2. ATV Rides: If you enjoy speed and a bit of off-road adventure, ATV rides are available throughout the valley. It’s an exciting way to explore the rugged terrain and feel the wind rush past as you navigate the bumpy trails. 3. Zipline: If you love heights and adrenaline, ziplining across the valley is a must-try. It offers a thrilling ride with stunning views of the forested hills and river below. 4. Zorbing Ball: This is a fun and unique activity where you are placed inside a giant transparent ball and rolled down a gentle hill. It’s a great option for those looking for a laugh-filled adventure with friends or family. 5. Giant Swing: Another adrenaline-pumping activity is the giant swing, which offers a massive pendulum-like swing across the valley. The initial drop is enough to give anyone an instant rush! 6. River Crossing: For those who enjoy water-based activities, river crossing on ropes across a fast-flowing stream is a fantastic experience that tests your balance and courage. Winter Wonderland: Solang Valley is equally captivating in the winter, when the entire region is blanketed in snow. During this time, it turns into a winter sports haven: 1. Skiing: The slopes of Solang Valley are perfect for both beginners and seasoned skiers. Skiing instructors are available to guide you, and there are slopes for all skill levels. The sight of people skiing down the snowy slopes is truly mesmerizing. 2. Skido Ride: If you want to experience the thrill of riding through the snow at high speed, hop onto a skido (snow scooter) and zoom across the valley. It’s one of the best ways to explore the snow-covered landscapes. 3. Snowboarding: Similar to skiing, snowboarding is also a popular winter activity here. Solang’s gentle slopes are ideal for snowboarders to glide down effortlessly. 4. Tube Ride: For a fun and relaxed experience, the tube ride offers a simple yet exciting way to enjoy the snow. You sit in an inflatable tube and slide down a snow-covered hill. It’s a fantastic family-friendly activity. Conclusion: Whether you’re visiting during the summer for an adrenaline-filled adventure or in the winter for snow sports, Solang Valley has something for everyone. The scenic beauty of the valley, combined with its array of activities, makes it a must-visit destination for adventure lovers. I recommend setting aside a full day to explore all that it has to offer. Whether you’re flying high in the sky or speeding across the snow, Solang Valley promises an unforgettable experience!

Solang valley is very beautiful. I would love to visit there again and again. Its natural beauty refreshes one's mind and keeps away from negativity. Everything was fantastic as I visited there with my family and every single moment we enjoyed alot. The only thing that annoyed us was while doing skiing ⛷🎿 the skiing masters or guides pull u from back and doesn't allow u to do. They charge high just for 5mins. That particular area gets crowded and u can't do freely. Though the Experience was very nice. Never fall in the trap of all those vendors selling Kesar as all these are fake. Hope you guys enjoy.

Visiting the Shobha Singh Art Gallery in Andretta was a truly enriching experience. The gallery beautifully preserves the legacy of the legendary artist Sardar Shobha Singh, whose paintings reflect deep emotion, culture, and spirituality. Each artwork tells a story — from his iconic portraits of Sohni-Mahiwal and Guru Nanak Dev Ji to the serene landscapes that capture the soul of Himachal. The gallery is well-maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by the natural charm of the Kangra Valley. It’s not just a place to see art — it’s a place to feel art. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates creativity and heritage. Our visit became truly memorable thanks to Ms. Ritu, our knowledgeable and friendly guide. Her deep understanding of Shobha Singh’s life, artistic journey, and the history of Andretta made the tour fascinating. She explained every painting with passion and detail, making us feel connected to the stories behind them. Ritu’s warmth, patience, and local insights added a personal touch to the experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region — she turns a simple tour into a heartfelt journey.

Sobha Singh Art Gallery is the home of legendary painter, Sardar Sobha Singh, where his descendants still reside. They are doing a yeoman service in keeping the legacy of the man alive. The rooms, artworks and relics of the great painter are kept as they were when they were used by him. The place is a repository of old black and white photographs of the house from its earliest days evoking a deep nostalgia. The place is full of history and still retains the old world charm that would have inspired the great artist to settle there. The must visit place for art lovers, nostalgia and quiet seekers and even casual tourists looking for a portal to escape into the not so distant past. The owners make a great effort to preserve the sanctity, quiet and solitude of the place and therefore it is recommended to help maintain the same by being silent admirers rather than noisy tourists.

What is the history of tea garden in Palampur? The tea industry in Palampur has a rich legacy, dating back to the colonial era when the British introduced tea cultivation in the region. The tea estates were first conceived in India during the 19th century. These tea estates or gardens have only been a tea lover's paradise since that time.

This is not a correct pin . There is a small private tea garden with Dak Bunglow and one small one called Bundela tea estate.. There is no tourist Palampur tea garden per se.where one can experience tea making process etc. We kept looking for a gate or ticket entry and realized that all the touristy experiential social media posts about palampur tea gardens are at Wah Tea Estate which is 20 mins away from this point

Neugal Cafe is one of the iconic tourist spots of Palampur. The cafe is managed by HP Tourism. It is still well maintained to a decent extent . However ,construction in the area has spoilt the scenic beauty it was once popular for . Good food , nice ambiance especially in the evenings. Beware of monkeys .

This cafe, run and maintained by Himachal Pradesh Tourism, is a decent and convenient stopover during travel. While the cafe itself is simple, the real highlight here is the outdoor view. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Himachal, it offers a calm and refreshing atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot to pause your journey, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. The menu has a fair variety of food and beverages. The quality was good overall, though the prices are a little on the higher side compared to regular eateries. Still, considering the location and the chance to dine with such a view, many travelers would find it worth the spend. The service is average—not bad, but not exceptional either. It’s best to come here with the mindset of enjoying the setting rather than expecting top-notch hospitality. In short, this cafe is not just about food—it’s about the experience. Whether you’re stopping for a quick snack, a cup of tea, or a light meal, the surrounding scenery makes it memorable. Must visit for the outdoor views and a refreshing break in between your travel.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I visited Nugal Café Palampur today, 16th July. I ordered chaat papdi, dosa, and masala papad with green chutney. To my shock and disgust, I found a cockroach🪳🤮 in my food. 😱 seriously This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the café’s hygiene and cleanliness standards. What’s even more disappointing is that something like this could happen in a place known for its ambiance and food quality. No matter how popular a café may be, customer safety and hygiene must always be the top priority. I hope the management takes immediate steps to thoroughly clean the kitchen, train the staff, and conduct regular pest control to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I won’t be visiting again🤮

Surrounded by the breathtaking Pir Panjal range, this pristine glacial lake holds spiritual significance for visitors. It is situated 26 kilometers from Bharmour in the Budhil valley and is revered as one of the chief pilgrimage spots in the region.
Got an opportunity to witness tha grandeur of Manimahesh Lake and Kailash parvat view in the month of May, 2024. Amazing place, being there felt like being more closure to Mahadev, it was an out of the world feeling in the snow covered peaks surrounding the place.

Completed my first Kailash in June 2025 and it was all worth it. Beautiful, mesmerising, and ofcourse adventurous. Bandar ghaati was my favourite patch ❤️ Had my luck on seeing barfani baba who is known for stying there for all twelve months. He showed us that one can also see Lord Shiv, his jataye, whole face and Hanuman Ji in two forms. Just have to focus !!! Yatra was beautiful and comfortable went before the official timing so had the facility of everything as they were preparing things in advance for yatra however there was no crowd which made it perfect. It was green throughout and after bandar ghaati everything changed and it was snow all over, snow fall also happened and while going back it rained heavily because of which the route became more and more beautiful. Foggy with sharp green deodar trees !! 🌲

Manimahesh Peak is a truly magical sight on a clear night. When the sky is full of stars, the experience becomes unforgettable. The massive mountain looks like a dark, silent giant against the sky. Thousands of bright stars twinkle above it, and you can even see the cloudy band of the Milky Way. The cool moonlight shines on the snow, making the peak glow softly. The whole scene is reflected perfectly in the calm waters of the nearby lake. It feels so peaceful and powerful that it touches your heart. It is easy to see why so many people find this place deeply spiritual. This amazing view is a beautiful memory you will keep forever.
AMAN R — Google review
MANI MAHESH lake is not an easy destination- particularly if your intention is just to enjoy the place rather than being driven by religious fervor. The trek starts from Hadsar - a remote village beyond Bharmour.. the trek is for 14 km, takes a full day..the route is well laid out, yet very tiring at places. It is rocky at places - though green and picturesque over all. But, when we reach the Lake situated at 13500 feet above sea level- we forget all the troubles and feel blessed to be there. One thing good about this Manimahesh Yatra (pilgrimage) is that there are stalls all the way where free tea, snacks and meals are served. This means you don’t have to carry much with you from the base town. It took me about six hours to reach a small place called Dhancho. Those who cannot walk too much, can take a break and stay here overnight.

The Chaurasi Temple Complex in Bharmour, Himachal Pradesh—literally “84 temples”—is a sprawling spiritual hub dating back around 1,400 years, built on a level ground at the heart of the old city Constructed in the 7th century AD during the reign of Raja Meru (or Sahil) Varman to honor 84 Siddhas (yogis) from Kurukshetra who meditated here en route to Manimahesh Lake One legend says Shiva and 84 Siddhas stayed here; when Brahmani Devi objected, the Siddhas became 84 lingams, and Shiva created a holy Brahmani Pool whose waters are essential before visiting Manimahesh Declared a protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India, the complex has been renovated over centuries—most recently under Raja Udai Singh in the early 18th century

There are so many counters for Havan inquiry Management: I have never suvh management and cleaningness so far anywhere. Too much clean to sit at any place and you would find clean. The office of महंत itself indicates that how the management is good there. Even there is coffee cafe inside temple and look so good. Each Temple management must visit once to learn how to organise. The Bagalamukhi Temple is a Hindu temple located in Bankhandi, Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Bagalamukhi, one of the ten Tantric Mahavidya goddesses. The goddess, also known as Peetambhara, is associated with the colour yellow. She is depicted seated on a golden throne with pillars decorated with jewels and has three eyes, symbolising her ability to grant ultimate knowledge to her devotees. The temple is especially popular during the Hindu goddess-centric festival of Navaratri. It is one of three historically significant shrines dedicated to Bagalamukhi in India, the others being the Pitambara Peeth in Datia and the Bagalamukhi Temple in Nalkheda. It is believed that worshipping goddess Bagalamukhi at this temple enhances one’s power and weakens one’s enemies, rendering them powerless. This highlights her role as a divine protector and a formidable force against adversities. According to Hindu legend, Rama, guided by Hanuman, worshipped goddess Bagalamukhi here to gain victory over the demon king Ravana. The goddess granted Rama the divine weapon Brahmastra, symbolising the triumph of good over evil. The temple houses a sacred fire pit (Havan Kund), where Rama is believed to have performed a havan to seek her blessings.

The Shri Mata Chintpurni Temple is a revered pilgrimage site and one of the Shaktipeeths in India, located in Una district, Himachal Pradesh. According to legend, it is believed to be the place where Sati's feet fell after Lord Shiva carried her corpse and wandered in sorrow. Devotees from all over India visit this majestic temple to worship at the lotus feet of Maa Chintpurni.
After standing in a long queue for almost 6 hours, we managed to get darshan of Mata Chintpurni Ji. This temple is a major pilgrimage destination and one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India. Devotees from all across the country visit here to pray for their long-cherished wishes and desires to come true. I have seen many married couples coming here with their newborns, with the purpose to offer prayers after wish fulfilment. The temple's main gate is made of gold and once you enter you can get a clear darshan of the idol. Pandits are available to help you with the pooja. There is a tree where you can tie the sacred thread, while uttering your wish or desire in your heart that you want to get fulfilled. Someone has even tied a twin-baby doll on the tree, maybe after getting blessed with twins. I feel grateful and privileged for getting the opportunity to visit such a powerful spiritual place. Shoes need to be kept in one of the many pooja-item shops. Crowd management is really commendable. Highly recommended to visit.😇🙏🏻🛕

As the residence of the Dalai Lama, it's known for its Tibetan temples and rich traditions.
Absolutely breathtaking venue! The HPCA Stadium offers a unique cricket-watching experience with the snow-capped Dhauladhar mountains as a stunning backdrop. The atmosphere during matches is electric, and even on non-match days, it’s worth visiting for the views alone. Seating is decent, and the pitch conditions have improved significantly in recent years. However, parking is limited, and facilities like washrooms and food stalls could use better management during large events. Best to visit during a day match to enjoy the scenic beauty. A must-see for cricket fans and travelers alike!

The Dharamshala Cricket Stadium is truly one of the most breathtaking places I have ever visited! Nestled in the lap of the mighty Dhauladhar mountain range, it offers a view so spectacular that it feels like nature and sport have come together in perfect harmony. Watching a match here — or even just standing in the stands — is an unforgettable experience. The stadium is impeccably maintained, clean, and organized. The vibrant green outfield set against the snow-capped Himalayan peaks creates a surreal atmosphere, unlike any other cricket ground in the world. It’s not just a venue for cricket; it’s a destination for peace, beauty, and inspiration. The facilities are excellent — from comfortable seating to proper security and amenities for visitors. Even when there isn’t a match happening, the staff is kind enough to let you explore and take in the view. The management and local authorities have done a fantastic job preserving both the sporting spirit and the natural serenity of the place. Whether you’re a cricket lover or simply a traveler seeking something unique, the Dharamshala Stadium is a must-visit. It’s more than just the world’s highest international cricket stadium — it’s a slice of paradise where every photo looks like a postcard. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars for its beauty, ambiance, and the pride it brings to Indian cricket! 🌄🏏🇮🇳

Beautiful Stadium But Beware of Scam Activity Outside The HPCA Cricket Stadium in Dharamshala is easily one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world, surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar mountain range. The views are absolutely breathtaking snow clad peaks, fresh mountain air, and a perfectly maintained field. Even on non-match days, the entry fee (₹30 via UPI) is totally worth it for the serenity and scenic beauty. The stands are colorful, the stadium is clean, and staff are generally polite and cooperative. However, visitors should stay alert outside the main gate. There are people pretending to represent resort or travel companies (often with names like Karma Group) with ID probably fake ID cards handing out scratch cards for tgeir 31st anniversary claiming “free prizes” or “holiday vouchers.” This is a misleading sales scam they invite you to a “presentation” that turns into a high-pressure attempt to sell costly vacation memberships. Many visitors have reported that these offers are fake, and the promised gifts are never delivered or come with hidden charges. Tourists often end up losing time and face unnecessary stress. It’s important that visitors do not share personal details or sign any forms from these individuals. Politely decline and walk away. Tourists have repeatedly faced such incidents near the stadium entrance. The HPCA authorities and local police should look into this matter to maintain the safe, welcoming environment that this world class venue deserves. This place is a jewel of Himachal let’s keep it safe and scam free for everyone to enjoy! 🏟️🏔️

The Dharamshala Cricket Stadium, also known as the HPCA Stadium, is one of the most scenic cricket stadiums in the world — and it truly lives up to that title. Nestled in the lap of the mighty Dhauladhar mountains, this stadium offers a breathtaking backdrop of snow-capped peaks that makes watching a cricket match here a magical experience. 🚨What I Loved❤️🫶 :- ✅ Stunning Mountain Views: The Himalayas in the background are mesmerizing, especially during sunset🌞 ✅ Clean & Well-Maintained: The stadium is very clean, with good seating arrangements and security. ✅ Pleasant Weather: The cool mountain breeze adds to the enjoyment, especially in the summer months. ✅ Good Facilities: The arrangements for food, restrooms, and parking are well managed. ✅ Peaceful Environment: Even outside match days, you can visit the stadium and enjoy its peaceful surroundings. 🚨Things to Note✍️:- 1 )- Tickets sell out quickly during major matches, so book early. Now this time means date 18 june Ticket price is only rupees 30rs. per person. 2 )-Carry light jackets even in summer — it can get unexpectedly chilly. Whether you are a cricket fan or a nature lover, the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium is a must-visit. It’s not just a place to watch sports — it’s a place to soak in nature and feel truly alive . ❤️🤩 I love this location for seeing the match 🫶 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ❤️

Triund, located in the Dhauladhar mountains near Dharamshala, is a popular trekking spot offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. The well-defined forest trails and breathtaking vistas make it a favorite among tourists from India and around the world. The last kilometer of the trek, known as the 22 curves, requires some effort but rewards with an incredible panorama. This camping site at the base of the Dhauladhar ranges provides accessible yet rewarding experiences for families and beginners.
One of the most amazing and beautiful treks you’ll ever do in your life. This is the best trek for the ones who are beginners. The trail offers amazing views and peacefulness. On the top you’ll experience the most beautiful sunset and the clouds will be beneath you. There’s a temple kind where shiv ji is sthapit and once you reach there, you’ll experience an energy that is calming and exciting both at the same time. The night camping offers star gazing experience and you’ll literally see Milky Way galaxy with your naked eyes. Must do trek.

Triund Trek offers breathtaking mountain and valley views. The trail is about 9 km one way—steep in parts but doable for beginners. Best to start early and carry water. Camping at the top is peaceful.. Gets crowded on weekends, but the sunrise makes it all worth it!

"Triund, tu hai kya view! 🌌 Reached the top in the evening, camped under the stars, and witnessed an UNBELIEVABLE night sky 🔭✨. Next morning, caught the sunrise and OMG, it was pure magic! 🌅❤️ Best decision ever to trek to Triund! 😍"

Best trek for beginners, one thing that every tourist has to know there is a base camp after 5 hours of trek after that the peak of triund it takes max 1 hours to reach, many travel agencies don't take you there so first ask after that book any travel agency otherwise trek solo and at the peak of triund trek you got tent and food. In 700-1000 per person(tent + food).

One of the Best trek I've done. It's a beginner friendly and enjoyable trek, One can complete the trek easily as the paths are marked from the start till the end, But it's highly recommended to book a trek guide if you're a beginner as it requires stamina and support for a walk of around 3-4 hours with enjoying views. One of the best company that offer this trek at the lowest price is Madtrek Adventures my experience with them was great 😃. And If you can't handle cold weather then pack your winter wears to keep you warm in December till March as these months experiences snowfall at Triund Top. One more Important Thing: Enjoy the trek with the beautiful views but keep in mind that don't litter trash in such a beautiful place also don't let other litter too.

Weather prediction mentioned some rain, when we started. We couldn't see anything but fog while going uphill. Even on the hill top, couldn't see any of the ranges. A few gusts of wind gave us a sneak peek of one of the peaks and we decided to stay around in case the weather would clear up again. Rain began in afternoon. It rained and hailed. Temperature above definitely reached single digits. Shopkeeper on the top of the hill said it will clear up in 10-20 mins. Hours later, it didn't. There were around 10-15 people huddled in the only shop above the hill. Along with a few dogs as well. We waited for rain to stop but it didn't. So when there was a pause at around 4pm, we could finally see the Dhauladhar range. Snapped a few pictures and we booked it downhill. Passes along other drenched hikers coming up. The rain came back. It was really not a great experience being already tired and cold, walking down rocks and mud with drenched boots, and umbrella in one hand. We reached the bottom just after sunset, as it was getting really dark. Thankfully there were cabs to take us back to town. Paraphrasing a local shopkeeper I talked to at the bottom: This kind of rain happens once every 15-20 years. Will I do this again? Sure. Not anytime soon tho. And certainly will take the weather more seriously this time.

Bhagsu Nag Waterfall is a popular tourist spot in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. The 20-meter-high cascade flows into a natural pool and offers breathtaking views. Visitors can take a short but challenging hike to the upper section of the falls for panoramic vistas. Surrounded by lush greenery and mesmerizing scenery, this waterfall is located in Bhagsu village behind the Bhagsunag temple.
Massive waterfall. Main attraction of McLeodganj, must visit. The main part near the waterfall requires a basic climb or about 1km with proper pathway and stairs. The other way is from the upper side along the waterfall which is entirely based on a hike. Be careful in the evening as the path mein become risky to come down.

The waterfall was nice but for me the best part was the walk there. I walked a different way to most people, I came from upper Bhagsu and it took me through this beautiful trail on the edge of the mountain. Took me only 15 mins to get there. Also went to Shiva cafe which is 5 minutes higher than the waterfall, nice views up there and good food.

Nice up hill trekk for nearly 45 mins for me (out of breath due to physical reason). Once reached the place it was a lovely experience. See the water fall, clean water, small cafes. Enjoy tge place for 30 mins or more. Then start retracting.

Bhagsunag Waterfalls is a beautiful and refreshing spot located about a 15–20 minute walk from Bhagsunag Temple. The trek to the waterfall is simple and scenic, suitable for beginners and families. The surroundings are lush and calming, making it a great place to relax, take pictures, and enjoy the sound of flowing water. With the nearby cafés and viewpoints, you can easily spend 4–5 hours enjoying the area. A perfect short trek and a must-visit attraction in McLeodganj for nature lovers.

Very crowded place. A lot of public taking bath in the waterfall. Its not a peaceful place to visit. Although the sight is good from far away. A lot of shops to shop from. Local bags, key chains, clothes, shawls, jewellery.

While the waterfall itself isn’t particularly scenic, the pathway leading to it is beautiful. However, the trek may not be suitable for elderly visitors.

Bhagsunath Temple, himachal pradesh Temple, Shiva, How ...The history of Bhagsunath Temple involves a legend about a king and a snake god, with the current structure dating to the early 19th century. According to legend, King Bhagsu built the temple to seek forgiveness from the Snake God after stealing water from the sacred Nag Dal Lake, leading to a fierce battle. The temple complex includes the main temple, a pool, and is near the Bhagsunag Waterfall. Legend: The local legend states that the temple was built by a king named Bhagsu to atone for angering the Snake God after he stole water from the Nag Dal Lake. Temple construction: The original temple is believed to be very old, but the current structure was built in the early 19th century by the 1st Gurkha Rifles. Deities: The temple is dedicated to both Lord Shiva and the local deity Bhagsu Nag, the snake god. Complex: The complex is located near McLeod Ganj and includes a main temple, a series of pools where visitors and monks bathe, and is situated on the path to the Bhagsunag Waterfall.

Always a delight visit the holiness place. This time I also attended his lifelong ceremony with a bunch of tibetans and renowned scholars who happened to visit this ceremony and seek his blessings from all over the world. Such a delight to witness him and this ceremony in person and feel a surge of true spiritual energy, even with more than 1000 people around. I guess it's the holiness in Dharamshala effect.

Our family visited this Budhist Dalai Lama temple (also known as Theckchen Choeling Buddha Vihar) on 24 October 2025. There is no entry fees. There is a residential venue of Dalai Lama, in front of the temple complex. It is very beautiful temple of His Highness The 14 th Dalai Lama. He stays in the temple area and gives sermons to his disciples whenever he is in Mcleodgang. There is adequate security in the area and common people can see the temple with ease and comfort. You get spiritual experience whenever you visit this temple. There are statues of Tibetan Saints in the complex and one experiences utmost peace and tranquility in the temple. You can see The 14th Dalai Lama in the temple whenever he is in Mcleodganj and gives sermons. One must visit the temple whenever one visits Dharamshala.

Dal lake is situated almost 3.5 km to Mecloed ganj Sequare !! You can reach there via own vehicle (Car,bike) aur u can hire auto rikshaw (60rs per passenger) overall good experience!! Beautiful scenery with mesmerising view of lake !! Best time to visit early morning and evening ! Naddi view point generally near from there !!

Not a natural lake. Don't confuse yourself with Dal Lake that is in Kashmir and as it's not the original one it's also not very attractive. Too much to be honest, it smells awful as the source of water of this lake is a treatment plant. I visited in April and it was almost dry with no crowd at all. No need to go inside, you should click picture from outside and look for another destination.

I was quite disappointed with Dal Lake in McLeodganj. The river was completely dirty and mostly dried up, which made the area look neglected and uninviting. It felt almost like a banned, isolated spot, with dust and litter all around. Unfortunately, it was far from the serene and picturesque experience I had expected.
