The Stone of Romeo is absolutely stunning! It’s a beautiful coastline, and pure natural beauty that leaves you in awe. It’s a very photogenic place that I’ve visited in Paphos. The only downside was the waste bin there: it was full, overflowing, and clearly not well maintained. It detracts a little from an otherwise perfect experience. Still, the scenery more than makes up for it, and hopefully the authorities clean up the bin situation so visitors can enjoy the beauty without that eyesore.

Nice place to set on beach and enjoy the view. Free entrance and parking. No lifeguards, seats nor umbrellas. Some people swim but the beach has many rocks.

Beautiful and iconic place with amazing views and rich mythology. The beach is rocky but very scenic, especially around sunset. It’s worth a visit for the atmosphere and photo opportunities. However, there are no facilities nearby, and the sea can be rough for swimming. Still, a great stop if you’re exploring the area. It is free and northern need to buy and tickets

What a magical place! Just to imagine that a millenial legend was born there is priceless. Beautiful place, and the access was fun. We got there at 8:30 and it was nearly empty, coaches started arriving a couple of hours later.

A little walk down to the rock from the shop at the top where the car park is it very hot go early morning or late in the evening the beach down there is always quite empty. You could do some sunbathing. It’s very nice.

According to ancient legends, Cyprus is the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite (the most beautiful of the goddesses). 🤵‍♀️ I managed to reach the beautiful beach🌊 of Aphrodite and admire the place where she was born from the sea foam. At least according to some mythological sources.

The beach is beautiful. I advise you to bring your own sun umbrella. Instagram models dominate on the beach.

I wish I was better with my words because if you go to Cyprus and you do not come here, HUGE mistake. While they have some conventional wines, they also have incredible natural wines, the friendliest service imaginable, and we were there around Easter and he brought out some of his family’s lamb pie which was so nice and we stayed for HOURS. Such a beautiful place as well, you must go here and my only regret is that we didn’t stay at his Airbnb

Wine tasting was an amazing experience. We tasted 10 wines, out of which 5 from winery production and 5 from experimental microvinification. All the wines are made from indigenous grapes: xinistery, Spourtiko, Morokanella, Vasilissa, Mavro, etc. All the vineyards are close the the winery at 800-1100 metre altitude. The winery is family ran by a farther and his three sons, out of which two have studied in Florence and are currently working as enologist in the winery. The route up the mountain is really nice and the place is a pleasant escape from the hot of the cities and beaches. A must in Cyprus.

Highly recommend a visit to this lovely family run vineyard. Food and wine was all delicious, not to mention the great hosting and friendly service. Go here and spend a beautiful afternoon in the summer sun tasting local homegrown food and wine, you won't regret it!! ☀️

We took wine testing, all the options 8€, 12€ and the special 15€. The second and third special vines we're nice, other than this all the others were below average and we didn't like at all. The service was really slow. If you go there, at least one person should try the 15€ as it had some nice to wine, the others are not good.

We visited for a Vineyard tour and wine tasting. The location and site is amazing, as are the stories / education of organic natural growing from Yanni's and Maria. Topped by a tasting session with local and home made produce was a lovely experience

A fantastic beach! Clean water, perfect for swimming, it is both an equipped beach (with sunbeds and umbrellas) and a free one. There are public toilets, there is a fantastic restaurant right on the beach, there are changing rooms. The parking is very big and public, so it's completely free. And it's very near to the beach

Definitely enjoyed this beach, for some reason it was almost empty when we went at the end of July, so loved the quietness. There’s ample parking, a free public toilet and shower area, we found natural shade under some trees. The water was very warm… not clear, but pleasant. There’s a luxury hotel nearby.

Pissouri - the rocky beach. Blue flag one, calm and clean. Get your aqua shoes and enjoy the beauty of that place. Walk along. It stretches out as far as you can see.

I like the fact that the main road runs parallel with the beach with shops restaurants nearby. The beach itself is a mixture of rocks and sand but it doesn't stop people from swimming. Water sports are available, also clean toilets, showers, changing rooms car parking and sunbeds and parasols to rent for a reasonable price. Overal we liked it.

Very few people. Beautiffull sea. Clean water. Sunbeds and umbrellas are everywehere and are really cheap to rent. Lifeguard always present. You can rent pedal boats, water scooters and motor boats on the beach. Also you can find nude beach at the end of the beach.

It's beautiful, but it didn't leave a big impression. It's convenient if you don't want to/can't go up, there's a golf cart that takes you almost right to the temple, and it goes back and forth all day.

Amazing paintings and architecture. Everything inside and outside was spectacularly well preserved. Monastery lacks intimacy of other more hidden sites, but it makes it up by the scale of wealth and arts inside. There's 5 euro museum inside, we didn't go in, the "free" part was more than enough.

The nicest Monastery I have ever seen. 5Euro entrance but I would pay 20, it is so well kept and rich. Highly recommended.

Beautiful tranquil place. Long winding mountain roads to get there but definitely worth the trip. The mosaics and artwork are beautiful. There is a restaurant and tourist shops opposite the Monastry and a small snack/drink shop at the entrance. Robes are available, as you need to be covered to enter - no bare shoulders or shorts/short skirts for women. It is free to look around. There is a museum which costs 5€ per person (free for children 12 and under) which has a host of religious artefacts and further information about the Monastry and its formation.

I loved this place. The mosiacs were fabulous. There are many historical artifacts in the museum, ticket entry required. We'll worth taking the time to explore. When visiting, please remember it is a holy place and should be treated with reverence and respect. If you don't, expect to be shouted at or thrown out: Ladies, cover up exposed breasts, midriff, and thighs. Guys, wear a shirt or short sleeved tee shirt and long shorts or trousers. It was embarrassing to see this happen. And remember to respect the wishes of the monastery and not take photos inside the church.

Beautiful. Very short hike though. Not accessible by wheelchair but is more accessible to get closer to by car before walking down and 2 minutes paved track. We did the 2.5km trail which took about 15 minutes to walk.

The 25-minute hike through the wilderness is very nice and has fantastic views. However, I need to note that in the summer months, the waterfall is minimal due to the drought.

Well, it is a nice small waterfall. Two ways to reach it: by a car 3 min walk and there you go or by foot from the village above where goggle points you to. We took the trail down and I went up to take the car and pick up the family from below. Nothing special there. Can be packed with people. Cold water and not that deep. Nice pass time trail. Maybe in the spring it looks better.

More of a scramble than a trail. Proper footwear essential. Not for the faint hearted. Waterfall beautiful and peaceful.

This trail isn’t easy, with lots of rocky patches, narrows, steps, inclines, and declines. The condition is pretty good, though, and there’s a nice valley view. I’m not sure a waterfall is worth the trip.

The waterfall is about 15 metres high, making it one of the taller natural waterfalls in Cyprus. The water flows from the Krios Potamos spring/river, creating a cool, moist environment with dense vegetation around it. There is a small pool / basin at the bottom of the fall where people sometimes swim. But water is cold (especially outside summer). Access is relatively easy: there’s a dirt road, parking, and a hiking path (~1-1.2 km) from near Platres village (starting near Panayias Faneromenis Church).

Nice trail, but with small kids incase you are coming from the platres big parking can be challenging. Forget your babytrolley, just with carrier for babies and toddlers. The google maps is writting 10 minutes walk. Is more like 20-30 minutes with very big level differences. When you know the expectations, is different but dont beleive for the goigle maps 😅 there is a closer parking close to the waterfallcoffes. A lot of benches on the road so you can have a seat and snack. Also most of the area is good covered from the trees

Very good waterpark. Food options inside are fast food like hot dogs, pizza and hamburger. They also have a few salads and wraps. Food is reasonably priced. Also lots of snack options. Recommend coming early if you want sun beds, but not really necessary since you don’t spend much time sitting anyways. They have lockers for rent inside the park. They are pretty small and a bit pricy. My only critique is that they could have done a better job separating tubes from different rides. Lots of people carried tubes from the slides into the lazy river creating a shortage of tubes. People were aggressively trying to take them from each other. The overall experience was still very good and highly recommend a visit.

Safety first. I don't understand the complaints from some people who leave bad reviews based on nonsense. Let's understand how much effort the staff puts into keeping customers safe, and you're complaining about cold pizza? I think the lifeguards are very well trained, and everyone who works there is very friendly and does their best. Warning signs are posted everywhere. Anyone complaining should also look at themselves and keep an eye out for potential danger. We had a wonderful day there with our family. It's a great place for children. We felt safe. I highly recommend it!

To begin, using GPS you can find the park very easily. We went on a Tuesday so there was plenty of free parking in their car park. Upon entrance nobody checked our back pack for food or drinks even though we did not bring any as we planned to eat at the Park. Once entered we rented out a locker for 7.00 euros but got back 2.50 upon key return. Its best you leave your caps, sunglasses and footwear in your locker as they don't allow any of these on the big slides keeping in mind it just about fits a back pack. Its been years since I last went on rollercoasters or water slides so it was an enjoyable day for me and the Mrs. A bit tiring going up the metal stairs barefoot carrying the rubber dinghy"s but we managed. The good thing was that there wasn't that many people like the weekends. We ate at Pirates cove, burger and wedges and coke for me which the burger was dry as they had been cooked and packaged and left on the rack. Greek salad, spring rolls,water melon, slush puppie, and water for the Mrs total 40euros. After lunch we went to the Garra Fish Spa we did 12mins each for 8 euros each which was quite pleasant as it was the first time I have tried this type of treatment. The young lady supervising advised us if we come again (the same day) she would give us a 50% discount 2nd time round. After that experience we went for a Gloria jeans for coffees, a hot cappuccino and an Ice latte 9.50 cents. Place is clean with lifeguards around the park. It is a nice day out from the norm so give it a go. Overall with the discounted tickets, food, drinks, it came to about 50 euros each person.

The park could be more organized. Food is quite expensive considering the entrance fee, and the variety is limited. They could collaborate with restaurants to offer better options. There are small stands for mini donuts, crepes, and drinks, but prices are high, and with only one van open of donuts, the line was huge. Overall, it’s a fun place for families, but cleaner pools, more family tubes, and better food options would make it much better.

Great waterpark but overpriced. 30eur for adults. 17eur for kids. Food and drinks inside are also overpriced especially for what you get. The burger in the picture is like €7 on its own.

This is the most heartbreaking review I’ve had to write, honestly this place has gone downhill so much! I’ve been coming here for years but this year was just so bad! It was absolutely packed, loads of sunbeds and umbrellas were broken, the queue to get in was manic, the tubes were really limited, there was a wait to get into lazy river because you’d have to wait for tubes, also the worst thing is, the wave pool you’re no longer allowed past the 1.60 mark, which is basically pointless for adults now, definitely not going back! Tried to buy tickets on line but there isn’t an option apart from memberships.

A big and fun waterpark near Limassol. Although it was full when we came it was still very pleasant, and lines were very fast so it was not noticed at all. A wide variety of slides and other attractions for all ages. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced too.

Limassol Marina is a great place to hang out and pretend to be a member of the Uber rich!! The yachts on show are amazing. Prices in the cafes are the same as anywhere else but it does feel that little big more special...highly recommend lunch here..

The fabulous Marina Breeze at Limassol Marina was a meal to remember. Situated alongside the marina you can arrive by boat and moor up alongside or arrive in the normal manner on foot. This was the best meal of our holiday. Great service, classic and modern cocktails, and superb food together with an affordable wine list including local wines. They even give you bread to feed the fish in the harbour. A lovely unforgettable evening.

Small but interesting place, where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria and crowned her Queen of England in 1191 apparently (the only British royal wedding taking place abroad so far). The entrance fee is 4,5 euros I believe and it’s worth it. Not really for the views after climbing to the top, but mainly for the little exposition they have going on. Not wheelchair accessible. Highly recommended, you’ll spend maybe 20 minutes here.

A bit less than what I would expect considering the history behind the place, the ticket cost 4.5€. You can walk around it and inside in 3/4 different levels with a bunch of stuff showing from different époques. Would recommend to go early in the day and be careful with hours, should be open from 9 to 17 but I found it close at 16:30 once. It takes 20/30 min. No wheelchair accessible.

Limassol Medieval Castle was built in the 13th century on the site of an earlier Byzantine castle. It is the town's most popular attraction because according to fame the castle stands on the site where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria of Navarre and crowned her Queen of England in 1191. Cells in the basement were used as prison until 1950. I’ve enjoyed the visit.

Fascinating place,we visited on a Sunday when Limassol was quiet and we went to pay but where told it was free of charge that day. Spent around an hour looking at all artefacts found close by from excavation or replicas that depict things from the time. Really fascinating to see everything from weapons to coins to plates. Well worth a look if you're in Limassol old town.

The Castle and Church has an amazing history and a brilliant museum. All the artifacts are beautifully displayed. The Castle is in the old port of Limassol and is definitely worth a visit. The surrounding old town has lots of beautiful architecture with lovely restaurants.

Lemesos is a beautifully preserved castle in the heart of Old Town. The interior is a fascinating museum with interesting relics, which are well described in both English and Greek. The cost of entry is cheap and it took us about 30 minutes or so to tour the whole site.

Tickets are cheap $4.50, its in a cool area of town. Worth a stop by even for 30 mins, the castle is out of the heat and is interesting historically. I would not recommend making a day out of it, but the area is great, price cheap, and history interesting.

Molos Park is one of the nicest places to visit in Limassol. It’s a long and beautiful seaside walkway where you can enjoy a walk, ride a bike, or just relax by the sea. The park has wide paths, green trees, fountains, and benches. There are also fun playgrounds for children and outdoor gym areas for people who like to exercise. You can also see many modern sculptures along the path, which makes the walk even more interesting. There are also wooden piers that go out into the water, perfect for sitting to relax, or taking photos. Many people come here in the morning for jogging or in the evening to enjoy the sunset. Nearby, there are cafes and kiosks where you can buy a coffee, ice cream, or a snack. It’s also close to Limassol Marina and the old town, so you can easily visit other places too.

Molos park is a perfectly designed modern infrastructure with long pathways, kids playground, restaurants and cafes, open gyms and many more. Very close to Marina and old city center. Loved the experience.

It can be very popular in the morning before the heat of the day arrives - but this is a nice walkable space just on the sea. There is quite a lot of resting spots for picnics etc; and many cafes / bars to choose from. There is also plenty of space for the kids to play. An area for pedestrians, bikes, rollers and skates.

Wow! What a great find in Limassol. This place serves incredible gyros. The mixed pork and chicken pita was one of the best I've had. The food is super tasty, the service is quick and friendly, and it's very cheap. If you're looking for an authentic and delicious meal, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite seafront walks ever. Views of the sea are beautiful, the sculptures are absolutely gorgeous. Plenty of beaches to take a seat and enjoy atmosphere. The swimming pools add a very modern touch.

What's not to love about a 1000 year-old UNESCO heritage site tucked in the middle of the Troodos mountains. Every single interior wall is adorned with stunning frescoes, all of which still retain remarkable color depth. The drive is quite beautiful, as well.

A beautifully-decorated ancient church, covered on every interior surface with intricate icons. "Small but perfectly-formed", as they say. Entry is theoretically free like with all South Cyprus museums/attractions, a small donation in the church box is expected. When we arrived at 09:30 in February there was no one there, but we asked the restaurant opposite, who called up the priest, and 5 minutes later an old guy turned up with the key! There are public toilets right next to the church, although they weren't very clean.

It's such a beautiful church set in beautiful surroundings. When we arrived there, the church was closed even though it stated on Google that it was to be open. We were there in December 2022. We drove back to the village and found the priest who was more than willing to open the church. Father Kyriakos answered all our questions and guided us around all the wallpaintings in the church. Beautiful preserved and restorated. The church is a heritage site by Unesco. Well worth the visit!

Beautiful and well maintained place with kind and helpful monks and staff. Herbs and flowers are very high quality and beautiful, not to mention that the on-site shop offers a huge variety of products, produced by monks. Oils, teas and tinctures are high quality. The church is beautifully maintained and open to the public without any fee, this is rare in Europe. Unfortunately pictures are not allowed inside the monastery but that is the magic of the place. Mountain roads are well maintained and but dangerous regardless.

I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Machairas Monastery is not just an old church in the mountains — it’s a place where something shifts inside you. As soon as I walked in, I felt like time stopped. Suddenly, I started crying — without any clear reason. No words, just silent tears. It was a deep, pure emotion I couldn’t explain. There’s a powerful stillness here. Real monks, ancient icons, and the sense that you’re touching something sacred. The small shop offers oils, herbs, candles, icons, and prayers — many of them with healing or spiritual qualities. This place stays with you. You just want to be quiet, listen, and be grateful.

The Monastery is a piece of heaven. The place is very calm and quiet. I did not stay too much as this is a place to pray and I did not want to disturb the monks. This is the place to stay a couple of days if possible to rebuild the connection with God.

A beautiful Orthodox monastery nestled in the mountains. Men in shorts are given a robe to cover up. Only the church (a glorious sanctuary full of reverence and splendour) and the gift shop are accessible. No photos allowed in the church area. The shop sells icons, literature, honey, jewellery, Greek literature and more.

It’s a beautiful Orthodox monastery tucked away in the mountains. If you’re a guy wearing shorts, they’ll give you a robe to cover up. You can only go into the church — which is stunning and full of reverence — and the gift shop. No photos are allowed inside the church. The shop has icons, books, honey, jewelry, Greek literature, and a bunch of other interesting things.

It was a lovely 1 hour drive from Nicosia. The drive through the winding, twisty road through the Machairas Mountains was breath taking. Its Spring time & all the terraced fields were shades of green. The almond trees were starting to burst in to flower. The air was crisp & fresh. We arrived at the Monastery just before the start of Orthodox Lent. The monks were preparing the Church and grounds. You can feel the sacredness of this place. Full of peace, calm, beauty & sanctity.

Great site with well thought out displays of the Neolithic settlement. It's amazing and mind boggling just thinking that people were living here 9000 years ago

Incredible to see what we may have read about. Considering how old the round are, amazing there are some remains visible today. The reconstruction shows what may have existed which is a great visual. You might spend around an hour here max. €2.50 entry. Free parking. Just be mindful google maps will try to take you further up the hill. When you see the coffee shop/carpark this is the entry.

The site is open between 8:30 AM – 5 PM It is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the eastern Mediterranean that added to UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998. Worth visiting.

A very historical site. If you like history then this is a good place to visit. We voted whilst on holiday and would definitely recommend. The staff was polite and site was clean.

Nice place and low entry price. Spent 1 hour here. Could be better if there was a 3D model showing village as it would have looked like originally. Not allowed into village ruins just around the edge along path. WC is available so good for a tiolet stop. Nice reception staff.

An uphill walk to the top of the settlement but well worth the effort. Information boards in Greek and English are available next to several points in the walk.

Great site with detailed reconstruction and explanations of the excavations and previous historical settlement. Toilets available too.

I've been once before as a teen and brought my partner with me this time. We enjoyed it very much! The walk up is very long and tiring, definitely take a breather now and then when climbing up the stairs to get to the peak. Beautiful views and well preserved. Only downside is that the Turkish Army closed it down early the day we went for something so we did rush a little.

Beautiful place. Shame that people don’t respect the no smoking and no littering signs. Also be wary of cafe .. asked for a Turkish coffee as had just seen them make one .. only to be told no.. only coffee available is from the espresso machine at €3 a cup. On leaving saw more customers having Turkish coffee.. definitely feel like it was a ‘tourist tax’ .. ..so be warned 😡

We got in just nefore 3pm and we're told to get down to the ticket office by 4pm. Tho on the outside signboard it says last entray 4.30pm That's apparently not the case today. This seems to do with it being part of the military base So changes to opening time can occur at anytime without notice. The view was really pretty we first went to john's church/chapel then we went to the peak 734m above sea level. The walk up there was not hard. I'd rate it medium difficulty tops. The road is a bit uneven and can be slippery after rains So make sure you wear proper shoes for that. We got to the top around 3.35 So 30-35min is enough for a person who is moderately fit to get up and we got down just before 4pm. Made a few other stops to see the beautiful queens' window too. We didn't visit the cistern next to the beautiful Windows unfortunately as we ran out of time. I think 1.5-2hrs is probably good for here. 1hr is a bit short. There doesn't seem to be public transport here whatsoever. We got a taxi up there and when to the monastery then back to town for 70euros...

Lots of people have wondered how accessible it is for older, less abled folks to access the castle. I visited yesterday & I am 71. Yes I am very fit for my age but for such an awesome setting do NOT let other misleading reviews stop you going. The castle is easily accessed from the car park where a little cafe is located. It's currently,50 tl entrance (just over a £1) & even just inside there is the most incredible view of Kyrenia. The steps for levels 1 & 2 are perfectly adequate & not very tough (see pictures) if you do not venture inside the first lookout towers which are more of a challenge. The are some awesome things to see within the first two levels like the Byzantine Church. There is also a super little cafe with an amazing view of the north coast at Kyrenia, selling their refreshing lemonade (& mocktails) & a small selection of small gifts & postcards. Now there is the third level to explore & I spent 90 mins on that level it's astounding! Again see pictures of steps & now I would say you have to be reasonably fit or very determined if a slow ascent is within your capabilities. There are astounding parts like the royal apartments with amazing views but the higher up you go the more arduous it gets until the pinnacle of the summit at 732m. some 333' higher than the car park. Steps are a lot more uneven but with care & a firm grip of the handrails it's achievable. Various pictures illustrate some of my descriptions. Some reviews talk about unstable poor handrails, this is not the case they were all solid & firm & reassuring. Some people describe litter plastic bottles etc. Well the castle has provided loads of do not litter, pop in a bin signs but there will always be the mindless uncaring idiots who ignore this, don't let it distract you off visiting. It's an awesome feat of human achievement to the highest level & it has been there a 1000 years. The road 3 miles from the dual carriageway can be accessed from the dual carriageway in either direction despite what Google maps might show (I came from Kyrenia & turned right) & the road shows a few hairpin bends, again don't let this put you off, they are wide & easily driven. What more can I say except done let a visit pass you by if you are anywhere near. Allow 4 hours if you want to visit & photograph every nook & cranny! Hope the photos help you make the right decision, Go Go Go, it's awesome!

Well worth visiting, magnificent views, but you need to be reasonably fit to make the climb. You need good balance. Not for children under 12 yrs of age.

Worth a visit. Entrance cheap 1 eur. Takes 2 hours at least to see all, so don't expect to see and go quickly. Enjoy and feel. Lot of hiking - which is good, but even old people made it..

Beautiful. The hike to the top might be challenging for some people but well worth it for the fantastic views. Wear shoes with good grip. Probably our favourite spot on Cyprus.

Very interesting crossing point from the Greek part to the Turkish part of Nicosia.Friendly officers that check your passport on both the Greek and Turkish zones of Cyprus.It is known as the only divided capital in the world as shown above Greek Cypriot Police Checkpoint on the sign above.Very different on the Turkish part of Nicosia and hence Cyprus.Many different shops selling lot's of different brands at very cheap prices.Fascinating and intriguing being on the Turkish part of Nicosia and hence Cyprus.Only there very briefly for around 30 mins due to tight connection with Intercity bus from Nicosia to Limassol although I very much enjoyed the experience very much.

Now this is a good experience. For those of you that are interested. Travelled from the Turkish side (trnc) much more to see on this side than the south. You can more or less travel the green line. Passports have to be shown now to cross both ways. Not as good as 10 years ago as things on the northern side weren’t done up (cafes etc). History lovers will love it

Very easy to get either way once through into north there are lots of shops and eating places much cheaper than the greek side coffees for 1 euro. No photos of actual crossing point as its illegal. They accept all currencies so no need to change money

Its the second time I have been there and nothing reminds me the first time that i was excited many stores ,people all around ,coffee shops, Everything is different many stores have been closed ,coffee shops where closed , not much people ...dont know ...

I cannot recommend visiting the occupied North. We did not feel safe there and we were very relieved when we returned.

Delicious food, nice friendly atmosphere, the live music was a pleasant addition to the scene, the menu board was comical but quite practical too. Great place!!

At this point you has to show your passport to go to the turkesh side and after doing your visit you should do the same for the Cyprus side,No stamps or anything just scanning the passport.

A small port, not very spectacular. A mix of small boats, pleasure and fishing. On the shore several restaurants with terraces. Not very crowded, around 2:00 PM. The area looks decent, seems recently renovated. In the immediate vicinity is the castle, in a rather bad condition.

The harbour is beautiful. You can walk all the way round the harbour and past the castle. There are some lovely shops, bars and restaurants, we found a great rooftop bar for cocktails and beers with views over the harbour. Definitely spend half a day wandering round and exploring the side streets that lead off the harbour. On our previous visit we took a boat trip along the coast which is also beautiful.

This is a very beautiful place. A piece of Cyprus's history. Every turist in North Cyprus should visit this place.

Gorgeous place to visit. Unlimited restaurants. Great shops. Boat tours. Castle tours. Pretty much a full day out. Upmarket seaside bars and casinos. Lots to do and see. Extremely hot in the summer though so remember the sun tan lotion. Well worth a visit.

This is a great place to visit, especially at sunset. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes because of the stones, and steps. It’s easy to be there 2 hours or more. They have a small cafe in the courtyard, a gift shop and a museum. The WC costs 10TL. The entry fee is 50TL.

Girne Castle is undoubtedly a beautiful and fascinating place. Its history, architecture, and the view of the harbor are all truly impressive. Walking through its ancient halls and standing on its walls overlooking the sea made me feel like I was touching the layers of history that have shaped our island. But as a Greek-Cypriot, visiting this castle also stirred deep emotions. I couldn’t help but feel like a stranger in my own homeland—a feeling that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it. There’s a quiet sadness that comes from knowing how divided we are, despite sharing the same island, the same sun, and the same humanity. One day, I truly hope to see a Cyprus where people from both sides treat each other with more kindness, respect, and understanding.

Nice place to visit and spend time in many restaurants and cafe shops, some a bit overpriced or have small portion but there are few good ones. ever since the area were renovated it's get nicer and have good atmosphere. On weekends and holidays it's get crowded.

Amazing view from the castle! This is the biggest castle that I visited in Cyprus. This is the must go place if you want to see a beautiful port, sea and mountain.

This fortress was much bigger than what I expected. It definitely worth to visit if you are in Girne. It was a bit dirty with empty cans and water bottles everywhere. I hope the staff (and visitors) pay a bit more attention to keep it clean.

Great big castle to visit. Tickets can be brought at the entrance. Hot weather can make it hard to go around, but definitely recommend going to the top of the castle for amazing views. Little cafe at the middle of the castle serving food, coffee and cold drinks, unfortunately my food arrived 20 minutes after my partners and you have to pay extra to use the toilets in the castle which I found odd as you use the cafe an pay entrance fee to the castle. Make sure to check out the Ancient Shipwreck Museum, housed within Kyrenia Castle. Not much maintenance in the castle as it’s common to see cigarette butts or rubbish on the floor.

The most impressive castle in Cyprus, although even that is not very well preserved. It houses a small archaeological museum dedicated to a small, very old wreck. Otherwise, nothing remarkable. All you can do is walk along the dilapidated walls and admire the panorama, which is quite beautiful. In the inner courtyard there is also a small kiosk with a terrace, where you can have a drink.

A beautiful ruins to look around. We did a tour which we found informative whilst walking around and appreciating the architecture of the building and ground. Finish off our visit with a fresh cold drink at the cafe by the entrance. 8 minute walk uphill from the car park where our coach dropped us off.

Worth a visit for sure. Parking may be tricky but great gothic half ruined architecture. The mountain backdrop makes for a dramatic scene. You can see everything in about half an hour

The ruins of a former monastery. They still house a small church. All in all, nothing "wow"... The area is beautiful, clean, full of greenery and flowers. In addition, from the monastery courtyard you have a very beautiful panorama, with the sea and Kyrenia visible in the distance. There is also a restaurant, adjacent to the monastery.

Bit different from the normal ruins. The restaurant, bar and cafe is attached to the abbey so I felt a bit strange but it's a popular place for locals because of that. Therefore there is shuttle bus service, 30 TL for a single ticket, very easy access and a nice view. There are nice hotels and restaurants. You can take a bus from a big parking space. There's some signboards there.

Walking around Ballapais monetary, there was no audio guide or tour guide available to purchase on the day. You just walk around yourself. Tickets are available to purchase on the day and parking was available. A few of cafes and restaurants near by to enjoy afterwards.

It's amazing place to visit around Girne. It has great architecture and nice place for photography.

Went in April, no Flamingo. Learned from the local that they only come to salt lake between Nov and Mar. If you go in other months, the lake view is still enjoyable, just no need to feel disappointed or not seeing any bird.

Beautiful lake, flamingos can be seen only in the cold season. Visited in November and the water looked like a mirror, with lots of flamingos. Definitely worth visiting. Do not walk off the path, it'll startle the birds. There are 2 observation decks at the lake. You can get there with public transport.

Larnaca Salt Lake fills with water during the winter and dries up in the summer to reveal a salt crust. This natural cycle attracts large flocks of migratory birds. Thousands of flamingos arrive from November to feed on the shrimp that thrive in the salt water.

Pink flamingos 🦩 visit the lake in winter. When I visited in mid November there were 2 big groups. Should bring a good camera to get a good picture. However you can walk around and enjoy the views. Various parking around the lake.

I visited it in November, and there were no birds, no water. Just a mud and salt. Large area covered by mud and salt. The guide said in winter there will be a lot of flamingo and water. It is located near Hala Sultan mosque.

Nice place for a walk alongside the salt lake, where you can watch the flamingos and other water birds. Great view of the Hala Sultan Tekkesi - this place has a ridiculous number of cute cats, it must be their sanctuary. There is several benches throughout the path, ideal to contemplate those magnificent birds.

Amazing beach with a unique vibe! The view of planes approaching for landing right above the water is such a cool and unexpected experience. Soft sand, clear water, and comfortable loungers with umbrellas make it a great place to relax. Perfect spot for aviation enthusiasts or anyone looking for something a bit different from the usual beach scene. Clean, sunny, and super photogenic — highly recommend spending a day here! 🌊🏖️☀️

Nice clean beach with free changing and toilet facilities. Showers have a small fee. Sunbeds and umbrella is available for rent at 2,5€ per piece. Very great price and the equipment is in good quality. Fun place to watch the airplanes come in to land at the nearby airport.

Of the beaches we visited in Larnaca, this was by far our favorite! The crowd was a bit more relaxed and the planes landing at the airport were a fun bonus.

Clean beach groomed every day and here is the key Summary - Clear water, soft sand, no pebbles, umbrellas and restaurants - Since Airport is nearby, you will see planes landing from very low height - Many water sports activities - Access to washrooms, showers and drinking water but these are paid public services Recommended for a perfect day on a beach day out.

If you want to spot planes while enjoying the beach , this is the place. With plenty of good quality bars, recommend a visit

From an architectural standpoint it’s a very pretty building and the interior is spectacular. I didn’t take any photos as I didn’t know if it was appropriate or not as it is an active church. But the paintings and reliefs inside are quite unique. And the building itself has a great history that’s interesting to learn about as someone who’s not tied to the Christian faith. The surrounding neighborhood is very quaint and has many good shops and restaurants/cafes.

This is amazing Church is a must visit if you are in the area. Beautiful structural architecture on the outside and inside to the amazing things you will see when you enter. If you can try and be covered up because there is a sign outside saying no shorts for men and women should ideally have their hair and shoulders covered but they do have robes for free on the outside to cover just in case you forget. Situated in the church are the most amazing icon pictures all over and the whole church is almost covered in gold. It is a particularly busy church with tourists in and out at all times. When you enter there is a lower two level where Lazarus bones used to be kept before they were moved, but his tomb still remains.

Hearing about this church and seeing some of the photos doesn’t really prepare you for the experience and history you are about to feel walking up to and inside this master of a monument. The outside is stunning, well preserved and sits on a lovely open space. When you enter it is very typical of a Greek church and lovely. Make sure you visit the tombs also under the church.

Beautiful church, very peaceful! We went there around at 1400 and it was closed. Advise to check the opening hours before you go. It opens in afternoon at 1530 but if you are there early, there are few souvenir shops that you can visit, enjoy lunch, take photographs, enough things to keep you occupied.

Visiting the Holy Church of Saint Lazarus was an unforgettable experience. I was deeply touched by the atmosphere and the spiritual energy of this sacred place. Bowing before the relics of Saint Lazarus filled me with peace and gratitude.

The holy church of Saint Lazarus in Larnaca is an old, lovely and holy church. It is a small church but beautiful from outside and inside. You can get inside the tomb as well.

Although it unequivocally merits further restoration and management, this monastery, or rather, museum, as is the current state of it, is a notable piece of Greek Cypriot history and national identity. It is commendable that efforts are underway to make sure it remains reputable. If you're visiting, make sure not only to visit the main building of the monastery, but also to explore the gallery behind it. The gallery can be entered through the back courtyard, and it holds a sizable collection of archeological artifacts well worth observing.

It's a very interesting church. I recommend it. Also don't forget to visit the small Christian shrine next to 100 Mt.

Close to Salamis road and hotel. Nice ancient church with several museums containing nice old paitings and old pottery and statues. We went there at 4pm and there was nobody else in the area. Tickets were 50 TL per person.

Amazing little church with such a story to tell. In addition to the church, there is a museum of artifacts found in the surrounding area . There is a charming little refreshment place that offered fresh squeezed juice, water and ice cream. Also , a separate tomb that houses the body of St Barnabas. Outside was a small market ( 3 tables) that were selling locally made souvenirs. Very much worth a visit.

It's a combination of a place of worship and a handwork exhibition. + A lot of to see (I could spend easily 45 minutes there, it's worth the money) + You can see a lot of handworks and paintings + The building has his own ambience + Well maintained facility - Toilet cost extra

Again, this was one of the many stops on our one-day sightseeing tour from Larnaca. This place is interesting. I don't know how much the entrance fee is as we had entry as part of a sightseeing day where we visited more places in Cyprus, but it was a nice and pleasant stop.

Lovely little monastery with lots of artefacts from the island dating as far as 7000 BC! Pottery, toys, tools are only fiew amongst much more items to enjoy! There is also a tomb of a St Barnabas in a small chappel next to the monastery, the man who lived in the times of Jesus!!! HISTORY LOVERS? BE PREPARED TO BE AMAZED BY THIS TINY PLACE HAVING SO MUCH TO OFFER! Top tip...There are Royal Tombs just down the road as well as the ancient city of Salamis just a fiew miles away! 🤘🏻

Great water Park, small enough to get around to all the slides and attractions. Clean, good selection of food and drinks. We hired the Cabana for an extra 50 euros which was well worth it, loads of beds available around the park though. Lockers available at the entrance and photos taken throughout the day which you can purchase at the end. There is a carpark, bus stop and taxi rank just outside the park. We had a fab day.

Some really good water rides with different levels for all ages. A large pool area with a wave machine. The park is in need of updating in my view but would still visit again. Our ticket (bought on line) enabled us to visit twice so we felt was value for money.

Great day out for the family. Water based fun for all ages from great areas for small children and toddlers and a good variety of slides and rides for adults, including some really high fast drops. Went midweek in May and pretty much no wait on any of the rides. It has a wave machine in the main pool and a few other smaller pools dotted around the park. There are lots of options for food and refreshments, not too expensive. Recommend getting a Cabana, which comes with its little safe box. Its not cheap, I think it was €50 but is great for kids especially to have a lie down or snooze during the day. 4 stars as its a bit on the pricey side even with the discounted junior (2 - 12) tickets €28 and kids under 2 having free entrance.

Visited on a weekday as a group of four adults. Staff are an absolute asset to the venue they were all exceptionally friendly, on the ball and consistently acting in an assurance of safety. The rides themselves were diverse, exciting and for us there were next to no queues. MC Mike who ran the "games" i.e. spin the wheel etc was a joy and made for great entertainment. Food and drink was fairly priced. I cannot fault our experience we had the absolute best time and spent the whole day here without getting bored. My only feedback would be that some areas need a repaint just to freshen it up. I don't think you'll disappointed though. In addition they have refigerated storage for your packed lunch if you wish to take this you can then get a pass to leave and eat outside of the venue on designated picnic area. We thought this was a amazing touch and wish that more venues offer refrigeration/picnic.

Worth it for a day of fun, but some things can be improved. Positive is the multitude of lifeguards who give you the necessary safety for your children and the entire staff from the entrance to the terraces and restaurants. Affordable prices and the fact that you can find something for all tastes. Maybe some new sun loungers and more non-slip mats on the floor.

Great fun for a reasonable price. All rides were fun and it was not crowded. Lots of entertaining activities for the kids. Very clean and well staffed with decent restaurants.

A really great park for families. Beautiful landscaping and cypris atmosphire. Beds and shade everywhere. Great slides with good guides. Very clean and well maintained. Very good food and drinks service.

Nice beach, 2 sunbeds and an umbrella 7.5€ which is very acceptable. Coffee and water around 7€, there are couple of stores nearby on the main road with acceptable prices, beer 1.8€, snacks 1.4€. Must visit if in Cyprus

Was here off season - April Enjoyed my time so much No crowds Water crystal clear Sunbed prices are regulated 2.5e per bed just like on the rest of the island there is no overprice for being the most popular beach I see how it can be an issue in season due to crowds but you just have to pick your time to enjoy

Don’t get me wrong, it is a nice beach and has a beautiful sea but it surrounded by hotels and packed. If you are a person who likes calm beaches without people, avoid this one or avoid Ayia Napa alltogether. It is crowded even in mid October.

Very nice beach, in the begining of November, not too busy, can get sun beds pretty easy (2.5 eur per bed) and parking is 4 eur full day. Beach bar works and have pretty good food, slightly more expensive than everywhere else.

Wonderful beach! The water is crystal clear and the weather was perfect, not windy at all. We visited in mid October and it was still quite busy, so I can only imagine how crowded it gets during the peak summer months. Definitely a must visit spot! Don’t miss out on having a piña colada served in a pineapple.

Beautiful local beach. Cristal clear water, sandy beach, restaurants and beach bars are available. Sunbeds are 2.5e as in while Cyprus. There is volleyball court on the beach.

One of the best beaches in Europe. Beautiful sand and water. Plenty of bars. Reachable by bus and 5 min walk. Easy spend a day here. One of the best places in Cyprus. Always a winner. Never disappoints. Must see. Work a trip even if on other side of island or Pahpos.

Kantara Castle is absolutely worth a visit! It’s an amazing spot with free parking and easy access. Just make sure to wear comfortable shoes for the walk up. The best time to go is at sunset , the views are simply breathtaking.

Breathtaking. Be careful as is steep and wear comfy shoes. Bring Turkish lira in cash. The drive up is exciting. The drive back is confusing on Google maps towards the bottom where the little town is, best follow locals on the roads towards the main highway. You will enjoy.

These castle ruins had a small entrance fee to walk up. Make sure you have sturdy footwear as lots of uneven surfaces and steps to climb. Their was a small parking area and toilets at the bottom. As you walked up their are lots of areas to explore and to enter. Some were quite intact and some in ruins. At the very top was lovely views over the land and coast. Well worth the visit. Plenty of places like walls and rocks to sit and rest on the way. A lot of places have no barriers

It's a bit of a drive but very worth it for the views. There are stray cats so bring some food like cooked eggs, don't chase them. They are scared. It's free to entry after hours

Very beautiful Castle with a couple of rooms. I enjoyed the sunset view there. The road is very good and comes almost directly to the castle. The territory is quite clean. The views are fantastic with the observation of 2 sees on both sides. I will come there again for sure. Buffavento give a great view, but it's hard to climb there, while canara is a great choice for all needs and all reasons! I like it very much!

The Byzantine fortress from the late 11th and early 12th centuries served as part of a defense system against Arab invaders. It is well preserved to this day. From the top there are beautiful views of the mountains and the sea. A rather winding road leads to the fortress. It is better to choose a day that is not too hot for sightseeing, although the inside of the fortress is cool even on a hot day. Almost all paths are equipped with railings, so you can walk with children. I recommend wearing sneakers or shoes comfortable for walking on stones.

Nice small castle fun and quick to explore,the area was fairly clean. Entry ticket cost 50 lira per adult, this was not advertised anywhere, so I didn't bring a lot of cash in lira and euros/ card not accepted, so couldn't cover for 2adults yet they still allowed entry and paid 20 lira in the end for 2adults. Always a lack of info on the north side no matter where you go.

Beautiful little Church. Very quiet peaceful place. Grounds very well looked after. No payment needed to enter. Alot of steps to climb, hard work if you decide to go in 36degree heat as we did, but worth it spectacular views

A very beautiful place. The church is located on one of the highest points of Protoras. There is a bus stop nearby, but you can also walk there. Below is a shady, cozy green mini-park, a small waterfall and a place for wedding registration. There are steps leading up, which, according to legend, must be counted back and forth. The difference represents the number of your sins. There are also several trees on which ribbons are tied, as a memory of someone or to make wishes. The church is small, quiet, peaceful. A place for prayer and reflection. It is open to everyone on weekdays and there are no priests or other staff. On weekends, weddings, prayers or other events can take place here. You can light candles, which are here, and make a donation in a special box. There is also a small store with religious accessories nearby. From here, a beautiful panoramic view of Protoras opens. A place worth visiting!

There is a parking lot below the church. There are about 50 steps leading up to the church, but the view is definitely worth it. A beautiful place with an amazing atmosphere.

A great setting for a church. There are bout 75 steps but are easy to do. The chapel it was built in 1984 in the place of an older chapel. The stones that it was built with is from the local area, so it would fit with the surroundings and they do compliment the area around it. The church is full of frescoes from floor to ceiling of Saints and scenes from the Greek Orthodox bible. Outside you will be greeted by a tree that has many ribbons and strips of cloth tied to its branches. That is because is a remembrance tree but lately people have started tying ribbons from the bottom of the seps and to other trees and bushes. They tie the ribbon or cloth in remembrance of a loved one. If this is something you’d like to do while visiting the chapel, make sure to take ribbon with you. This way you can tie the ribbon and honour your loved ones just like locals do. Others tie the ribbon and make a wish. So for some this is like a wishing tree. However, you look at it thought it is an amazing thing to tie your own ribbon on the tree. The views from there are amazing as you can see the whole of Protaras and the blue coastal area.

Great views as far as your eyes can see, well worth the short steep stairs up, a few of them.. You will not be disappointed, try at sunrise, sunset or during the day. Take some time to reflect on whatever you want. You can leave a donation for for the church as it's always open. I recommend it.

An amazing church to visit, quite a few steps for perhaps people with certain health or mobility restrictions. We went just as the sun was setting and the view is amazing once you are up there, a beautiful church inside and out and a must visit here in Protaras.

Well worth the climb up amazing 360 degree views also fantastic to see inside the church lovely and quiet , recommend taking a moment to enjoy the peace and light a candle. Outside fascinating to look around all offerings that have been left. Steep climb but worth it.

Probably one of the most beautiful and charming beaches in the island, parking nearby is available. You need to be there early if you want to get a sunbed and umbrella otherwise improvise a place in the shade.

A wonderful beach with crystal-clear, uniquely turquoise water and white sand. You can relax passively while sunbathing or enjoy active leisure with pedal boats, small boats, and more.

Absolutely beautiful beach! The sand is soft and golden, and the water is crystal clear with the most amazing turquoise color — it honestly feels like the Caribbean. The sea stays shallow for a long distance, which makes it perfect for families with kids. There are plenty of facilities — clean toilets, showers, sunbeds, umbrellas, cafés, and water sports (SUP, kayaks, parasailing). Everything is well maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet lively. It can get quite crowded during summer weekends, so it’s best to come early in the morning. The small island a few meters offshore is great for swimming or snorkeling.

Beautiful place. Excellent water sports. We purchased our food and refreshments from a nearby supermarket and took them to the beach ⛱️.

This was my favorite beach we visited! We didn't get sunbeds because there werent any available but we had the best time. We recommend being at the furthest left side of the beach there is where is the best. We also visited it with a boat where we saw the sea turtles! The highlight of our trip!

Konnos Beach is a beautifully located spot with a unique descent that makes the experience even more interesting. The access is quite good, and the drive there is easy. It’s a rather peaceful place compared to some other beaches, although it can still get crowded. On the day of my visit, the sea was very rough, with big waves, which made swimming difficult, but that was more due to the weather conditions. Normally, it’s a stunning place worth visiting. You do need to walk down a bit to reach the beach, but the path is good and not too challenging. Overall, it’s a charming beach with a great atmosphere, definitely a place I would recommend.

BEST BEACH BY FARR!!! While it is crowded and some days you can’t find sun-beds, it is really worth it if you don’t mind waiting a bit for a place or if u like throwing ur towel on sand. Must visit!

A very small beach with lots of people — very crowded, and there are only a few parking spaces. The path to the beach is extremely steep. There are many much better beaches, such as Nissi Beach or the Blue Lagoon in the National Park.

rented an ATV and drove down to the beach – super easy to park with a small quad. If you come by car, make sure to arrive early (around 08:00–09:00) to get a spot, otherwise you’ll have to walk a bit. The same goes if you want sunbeds and umbrellas – come early. We rented two sunbeds and one umbrella for 8 euros. The beach has soft sand and really good snorkeling 🤿. You can even snorkel all the way to Turtle Beach – it’s a bit far for some, so a float mattress can help. There are also pedal boats, paddle boards, and lots of other fun rentals. A really great beach experience 🏝️

Very nice beach, like in the jungle surrounded by nature. Water is cristal clear. There is a restaurant in the trees. Beautiful!

Konnos Bay is one of my favorite and most beautiful beaches in Cyprus. The water is crystal clear, and the whole area has a peaceful, hidden feel — it’s smaller and usually less crowded, which makes it perfect for relaxing. There’s a lovely restaurant nearby where you can grab a meal, enjoy a drink, or take a break from the strong sun. The beach is reached by a scenic path about 800 meters long, and while it’s not a large beach, the stunning water makes it absolutely worth the visit! 🌊🌞💙
